“Woke” Pentagon’s “Diversity Chief” Not Disciplined for Racially-Divisive Remarks

The Pentagon said it will issue no disciplinary action to its former diversity, equity and inclusion chief, Kelisa Wing, over a series of divisive statements about White people, according to a Thursday letter to the office of Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., who sits on the House Armed Services Committee.

Wing was appointed as diversity, equity and inclusion chief at the Pentagon’s education wing — the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) — in 2021. She was involved in curriculum at DoDEA, which services over 60,000 military-connected children at 160 schools around the globe.

Wing has stated that her goal was to “tear down the system” in education. When asked about whether it was time for a “racial reckoning” and “revolution,” she responded in the affirmative.

Wing was put under probe by the Pentagon on Sept. 17 over tweets which referred to White people as “Karen[s].”

“I’m exhausted with these white folx in these [professional development] sessions,” she wrote.

“[T]his lady actually had the CAUdacity to say that black people can be racist too… I had to stop the session and give Karen the BUSINESS… [W]e are not the majority, we don’t have power,” Wing said in a tweet.

“Caudacity” is a slang term that is used to describe audacity demonstrated by White people.

On another occasion, Wing responded to a user who said, “I am exhausted by 99% of the white men in education and 95% of the white women. Where can I get a break from white nonsense for a while?”

Wing responded, “If another Karen tells me about her feelings… I might lose it…”

The “Wokeness” which has infected every aspect of our American society has politicized our Armed Forces.

Imagine ignoring the fact that Americans of all races and religion are already serving their country and deciding that a “diversity chief” was needed.

This heifer should have never been allowed anywhere near the men and women serving our country.

Besides, isn’t a RASCIST “diversity chief” an oxymoron?

The decision to hire “Woke useful idiots” like her, along with the decision to allow transvestites to enter our Armed Forces, and along with all the political shenanigans including Proper Pronoun Training, is the reason that enrollment in our military is way down.

The New “Woke” Armed Forces” has been brought about by the same pointy-headed individuals who have introduced CRT racial divisiveness and LGBTQ Grooming into the curriculum of our nations’ public-school systems.

Traditional American Morality and Values are a roadblock to Progressives’ Plans, as regards to the “Good of the State” or their plans for a Socialist Paradise.

That same Traditional American Morality and Values have always been a key component of our Armed Forces.

Hence, the desire of Liberals like the Obama and Biden-Harris Administrations to turn them into a laboratory for Social Engineering experimentation.

They can try.

This Administration has succeeded in dividing Americans in a manner that has not been seen in decades.

However, unfortunately for those who espouse the “singularity of thought” of the Hive-mind, they will never win.

We are Americans. We cherish our Faith, our Families, our Freedom of Thought, and our Freedom to remain a Sovereign Nation

We will not be assimilated.

Go Woke, Go Stupid: Columbia University Drops SAT, ACT Test Admission Requirements

“Columbia University has permanently dropped its SAT and ACT standardized test requirements for undergraduate admissions.

The Columbia College and the School of Engineering and Applied Science will be “test-optional for all applicants,” meaning that applicants will no longer have to send SAT and ACT scores.

Columbia Undergraduate Admissions announced Wednesday that Columbia would become the first school in the Ivy League to become permanently test-optional.

“We have designed our application to afford the greatest possible opportunity and flexibility for students to represent themselves fully and showcase their academic talents, interests and goals. Standardized testing is not a required component of our application,” the school wrote in the announcement.

“Our review is purposeful and nuanced—respecting varied backgrounds, voices and experiences—in order to best determine an applicant’s suitability for admission and ability to thrive in our curriculum and our community, and to advance access to our educational opportunities,” (Courtesy FoxNews.com)

This has to be dumbest thing that I have ever heard.

For decades, the SAT and ACT Tests have provided a measuring stick through which colleges and universities could assess whether high school graduates had actually learned, after attending school for twelve years, the general knowledge needed to succeed in 4, 6, or 8 years in an Institute of Higher Learning.

Now, it seems that the purpose of Columbia and other “Woke” colleges and universities like it is no longer education but brainwashing and assimulating young minds full of mush into Cultural Marxism in the name of “Diversity” and “Equity”.

What Columbia and other “Woke” universities are telling high school graduates is that they are too dumb to be measured by the same standards as their older siblings, parents, grandparents, family members, and friends who studied their butts off in order to make a good score on the SAT and/or ACT in order to attend college based on their academic accomplishments and not the color of their skin or their political ideology.

I am a college graduate. I graduated 30th out of a Senior Class of 360, with a GPA of 3.54 and an ACT Score of 25.

I worked my butt off to accomplish that.

I am a better, stronger person because of my individual achievement in academia and my achievements since.

That is what the Cultural Marxism known as “Wokeness” is taking away from young Americans: the feeling of accomplishment that individual achievement brings.

And, that is exactly why universities are going “Woke”.

You can’t “radically change” America without eliminating individual achievement.

“The Party of Diversity” Has Two Old White Men Leading All of their Primary Candidates…Irony is Embarrassed

Back in February of 2007, Vermont Senator Joe Biden described his future boss, contender for the Democrat Presidential Nomination, Barack Hussein Obama, in the following manner…

I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy,” Biden said. “I mean, that’s a storybook, man.”

And now, “Sleepy Joe” is running for President.

Democrats seeking to reclaim the White House are calling for generational change. It may be time for a woman, they say, or a minority figure.

But for all the talk of breaking new presidential ground, the opposition party’s top candidates to become the new boss look about the same as the current boss: white, male and pretty old.

President Donald Trump is a 72-year-old billionaire, and for many he epitomizes the white male privilege that Democrats often decry.

But the top two candidates leading the race to replace him are pale, male and stale too.

Former vice president Joe Biden, who jumped into the race Thursday, is 76 and has spent the bulk of his life in national politics, while Senator Bernie Sanders, 77, has been in Congress since 1991.

The two men’s dominance in the 2020 Democratic field is at odds with last year’s midterms, when record numbers of women and minorities were elected to the most diverse US Congress ever.

The presidential race itself is historically diverse: six female candidates, three African Americans, a Hispanic former cabinet member, an Asian-American, a Hindu congresswoman, and a gay military-veteran mayor. Nine contenders are under 50.

The 2020 campaign “calls for a new generation of leadership,” candidate Pete Buttigieg, the Indiana mayor who at 37 is less than half Biden’s age, said recently.

And yet it is the two septuagenarians who currently dominate the nominations landscape, with Biden at 29 percent and Sanders at 23 percent in the latest RealClearPolitics polling average. No one else is in double digits.

The White House has relished the irony.

“Old, white, male career politicians like Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden is not exactly what the Democratic Party had in mind for 2020 when they’re running all these different folks who are talking about identity politics and what makes them different,” counselor to the president Kellyanne Conway told Fox on Thursday.

The Democratic candidates with the more traditional profiles, Biden and Sanders — each of whom has run for president before — have the strongest name recognition.

That has “significant influence on polling at this point,” Kelly Dittmar, an expert at the Center for American Women and Politics, told AFP.

Unlike recent congressional elections, “presidential politics has been the most dominated by men, and masculinity, for all of our history.” Dittmar said that is true not just in who inhabits the office, but in the norms of behavior and expectations voters place in presidential leaders.

A woman, of course, has made the case that it’s possible to shatter that presidential shield of masculinity, as Hillary Clinton did when she won more popular votes than Trump in 2016.

– White man’s privilege –

There are signs that a post-Clinton mindset has yet to evolve.

The hype that accompanied the entry into the race by Texan Beto O’Rourke (6.3 percent in polling), a white forty-something ex-congressman with a thin resume, contrasted sharply with the muted coverage of the rollout by progressive Senator Elizabeth Warren (6.5 percent).

She was the first heavyweight to enter the race and is the candidate with the most concrete policy platform, but she has been spinning her wheels in the polls.

O’Rourke, who literally wandered in the wilderness before launching his campaign, appeared to acknowledge the hand he has been dealt.

“As a white man who has had privileges that others could not depend on, or take for granted, I’ve clearly had advantages over the course of my life,” he told NBC News in Iowa.

Dittmar said she is not confident that Sanders and Biden, unlike O’Rourke, “have gotten to that point in which they realize… the limitations they have as older white men in being able to understand the challenges of women and communities of color.”

Those limits came into sharp relief this past week. Biden faced awkward questions about refusing to directly apologize to women who said they were made uncomfortable by his touching and the affectionate gestures he lavished on them.

Sanders was booed by black women at a conference when he conveyed a 56-year-old anecdote about marching with civil rights icon Martin Luther King Jr. when asked how he would combat racism and advocate for people of color.

Such gestures by the frontrunners are “not enough,” Dittmar said.

Both Sanders and Biden have built campaign teams that reflect America’s diversity.

But they will need to speak “in a more detailed way about how you’re going to best empathize with the experiences of women and communities of color in a way that goes beyond a tag line, or one thing you did” in the past, Dittmar added.

Oh, the irony of it all.

Through the last several decades, the Democratic Party, once the party of the “Middle Class Working American” has devolved into the political party of special interest groups and has become the champion and practitioner of the “Tyranny of the Minority”.

While spending time on Facebook Political Pages, which I really should cut down on, as it tends to increase my blood pressure to Mt. Vesuvius Levels, I continuously encounter individuals who echo the sentiments of the Far Left self-proclaimed geniuses who cost the Democratic Party the Presidency and who believe that anybody who works hard for a living and believes in God and Country, is a Jingoistic imbecile.

The same intolerant idiots who have decided that they do not need to hire “straight white males” are now faced with the situation of having two “straight white males” as the frontrunners for nomination as their Presidential Candidate in 2020.

For years, the Democrats have preached to us “Deplorables” here in the Heartland of America as to how they are the champions of tolerance and diversity.

And yet, a cursory tour of Social Media, such as Twitter and Facebook prove them to be an intolerant bunch of irreverent hypocritical jackasses.

And about that “diversity” thingy…

Just recently Black Conservative Activist Candace Owens was attacked by a bunch of Antifa fascists, simply because she IS a Black Conservative.

After the 2016 Presidential Election the current Democrat frontrunner, “Sleepy Joe” Biden recalled watching a Trump rally in Pennsylvania near where he grew up. “They’re all the people I grew up with,” he said. “They’re their kids. And they’re not racist. They’re not sexist. But we didn’t talk to them.”

He was speaking about the fact that the Democrats had become a bunch of hypocritical elitists, claiming to representing “average working men and women” but actually wanting nothing to do with us, embracing special interest groups, instead.

The Democrats have learned nothing from the night of November 8, 2016. They are still the same elitist hypocrites whom Biden called out after they lost the presidency.

And, the excuse that Biden and Bernie practice “diversity” within their campaign staffs does not absolve their hypocrisy.

President Trump not only believes in “diversity” his Administration, he believes in it in America’s Workforce, too.

The Unemployment Numbers for Black Americans, Hispanic Americans, and American Women have all dropped to historic lows.

Something that the Democrats, even President Barack Hussein Obama (mm mmm mmmm) were not able to accomplish.

Some people, especially hypocritical elitists like those in the Democratic Party, never learn.

Michelle Obama Calls Building Border Wall “Fear of Diversity”. Really?

The NBC Affiliate in New York City reports that

Michelle Obama praised the diverse graduates of the city’s oldest public institution of higher learning and took a mild swipe at Donald Trump as she delivered the last commencement address of her tenure as U.S. first lady on Friday.

“I really want you all to know that there is a reason why, of all of the colleges and universities in this country, I chose this particular school in this particular city for this special moment,” Obama told the graduates of the City College of New York.

Noting that students at the 169-year-old college come from 150 countries and speak more than 100 languages, she said, “You represent just about every possible background – every color and culture, every faith and walk of life.”

Obama, the wife of Democratic President Barack Obama, told the graduates that “with your glorious diversity, with your remarkable accomplishments and your deep commitment to your communities, you all embody the very purpose of this school’s founding.”

She made a thinly veiled reference to Trump, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, by saying “some folks” don’t value the diversity that City College embodies.

“They seem to view our diversity as a threat to be contained rather than as a resource to be tapped,” Obama said. “They tell us to be afraid of those who are different, to be suspicious of those with whom we disagree.

“They act as if name-calling is an acceptable substitute for thoughtful debate, as if anger and intolerance should be our default state rather than the optimism and openness that have always been the engine of our progress.”

Trump has promised to build a wall between the United States and Mexico, proposed banning Muslims from entering the U.S. and said it’s risky to take in Syrian refugees because terrorists could be among them.

Obama added that “here in America, we don’t give in to our fears. We don’t build up walls to keep people out because we know that our greatness has always depended on contributions from people who were born elsewhere but sought out this country and made it their home.”

City College, founded as the Free Academy of the City of New York in 1847, gained a reputation as the poor man’s Harvard in the 1930s, when it educated a generation of Jewish intellectuals who were shut out of elite private colleges.

The Godfather of Conservative Talk Radio, Rush Limbaugh, once said about outgoing (Thank God) First Lady Michelle Obama that

I think the essence of hope and change, I think the hope was not so much hope for the country’s future economically, hope for people’s personal economic success.  I think the hope was that if this country made the statement, a majority white country electing an African-American president, that alone would serve a significant role, play a significant role and cause there to be massive progress toward eliminating, or not eliminating, but reducing the racial strife in this country, and the exact opposite has happened.

Rush is right.

Like her husband, President Barack Hussein Obama, Michelle Obama has done her best to play The Race Card at every opportunity.

In this case, by erroneously claiming that the reason Donald J. Trump’s. along with the majority of Americans’, desire to secure our Southern Border, is because we have a fear of people who look different from us.

If that were the case, American would have never become the “Great American Melting Pot”, as the old cartoon from Scholastic Rock, that we used to watch as kids on Saturday Mornings on ABC, so aptly explained.

And, “The Donald” would have an all-white workforce in his companies.

This country was built by LEGAL IMMIGRANTS of all Ethic Backgrounds, who assimilated into our culture and became AMERICANS, who were loyal to their now-found country, not the country that they left behind to come here for a better life.

“Mooch” is purposefully assigning a “nobility” and “righteousness” to those who would enter this country illegally, to take American Jobs , while remaining loyal to their country of origin and to those who are entering illegally for the purpose of destroying our nation through the mindless violence of Islamic Terrorism.

Michelle Obama does not speak for the overwhelming majority of Americans.

She never has.

Most of the other First Ladies in my 56 years have brought a certain degree of class and decorum to their unelected position as “FLOTUS”.

Hillary Clinton being a notable exception.

Where that woman spits, grass never grows again.

But, I digress…

Michelle Robinson Obama is the most useless, racially divisive, and downright hateful excuse for a First Lady that this country has ever seen.

Bess Truman was Mother Teresa compared with the woman whom I affectionately refer to as “Mooch”…

Her expensive tastes, which include Wagyu Beef and Lobster, her penchant for taking the most expensive vacations ever imagined by man (with larger entourages than an NBA Player), along with her attempts at telling Americans what we HAVE to feed our children and grandchildren, and how we should be raising them, have not exactly endeared herself to the overwhelming majority of Americans.

Quite frankly, all of us out here in the Heartland, think that she stinks on ice.

For Michelle Obama to drop her carefully concealed mask of racial intolerance this late in the game, with still time left in her husband’s presidency, shows how little regard she has, not only for the decorum of her position, but, for the well-being of America and her citizens, both black and white.

She’s classless.

Diversity Above Achievement: Affirmative Action Comes to the Academy Awards

I can do more than anyone suspects. I pride myself on my versatility. It took 32 years of difficult parts, second leads, villains and juveniles. The Oscar changed the quality of the roles I was being offered. – Louis Gossett, Jr.

Affirmative action  sprang out of the 1960’s Civil Rights Movement. It was intended to provide equal opportunities for members of minority groups and women in education and employment.

In 1961, President John Fitzgerald Kennedy was the first to use the term “affirmative action” in an Executive Order which forced government contractors to take “affirmative action to ensure that applicants are employed, and that employees are treated during employment, without regard to their race, creed, color, or national origin.” That Executive Order also established the President’s Committee on Equal Employment Opportunity, now known as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).

An institution or organization engages in Affirmative Action when it attempts to improve opportunities for historically excluded groups in American society by establishing a “quota system” to make up for perceived “past transgressions”.

These policies usually involve employment and education. In institutions of higher education, affirmative action involves admission policies that seek to provide equal access to education for those groups that have been historically excluded or underrepresented, such as women and minorities, at times, skipping over a more qualified candidate, in order to promote “Diversity”.

Needless to say, questions concerning the constitutionality of Affirmative Action has made the topic one of heated debate.

Affirmative action policies initially focused on improving opportunities for African Americans in employment and education.

In the past several years, several states have discontinued their Affirmative Action Policies because Affirmative Action has become outdated, and causes a form of reverse discrimination by favoring one group over another, based on racial preference rather than academic or business achievement. Additionally, there is a concern that minority groups may be stigmatized and treated differently by peers and professors who may believe that the success of minority groups in higher education institutions is unearned.

Now, just as “Mr. Smith Came to Washington”, Affirmative Action is coming to Hollywood.

The Academy Awards or “Oscar” Awards is the paramount awards ceremony originating out of Hollywood, which is held on an annual basis. Over the years, it has become a mega-event, with everyone associated, directly or indirectly, with Hollywood eagerly awaiting for the handing out of the golden statues.

The popularity of the Academy Awards has increased as the years have passed.

The awards were the brainchild of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), formed in 1927. The AMPAS was created through collaborative effort of 36 most prominent individuals, who worked within the motion picture industry.

Film actor Douglas Fairbanks, Sr. was chosen as the first president of the Academy. The awards were established to honor the talented artists of the Motion Picture Industry. The first Academy Awards ceremony was held on May 16, 1929, at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. It was a very private affair, with only two hundred seventy people as guests. The awards were given in the banquet, set up at the hotel’s Blossom Room. The tickets for the guest tickets cost $5.

The first Oscar Ceremony consisted of the handing out of awards in 12 categories and two special honors.

The awards were meant to honor people responsible for cinematic achievements in 1927 and 1928. There was a very little element of surprise at the first Oscar Awards ceremony, as the names of the winners had been declared three months in advance. The entire affair was a lengthy one, filled with speeches. However, Douglas Fairbanks, the Academy President, moved things along as best he could, handing out the golden statues to the winners like a modern-day McDonalds Employee at the Drive-Thru Window.

Yes, boys and girls, once upon a time the Academy Awards celebrated individual achievement in the field of Professional Cinema.

That was then. This is now.

The New York Times reports that

LOS ANGELES — Confronting a fierce protest over a second straight year of all-white Oscar acting nominations, theAcademy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences said on Friday that it would makeradical changes to its voting requirements, recruiting process and governing structure, with an aim toward increasing the diversity of its membership.

The changes were approved at an unusual special meeting of the group’s 51-member governing board Thursday night. The session ended with a unanimous vote to endorse the new processes, but action on possible changes to Oscar balloting was deferred for later consideration. The board said its goal was to double the number of female and minority members by 2020.

“The academy is going to lead and not wait for the industry to catch up,” the academy’s president, Cheryl Boone Isaacs, said in a statement. Ms. Isaacs referred to an often-repeated complaint that the academy, in its lack of diversity, reflects the demographics of a film industry that for years has been primarily white and male.

The most striking of the changes is a requirement that the voting status of both new and current members be reviewed every 10 years.

I wonder what the swashbuckling man’s man, Douglas Fairbanks, Sr., would have thought about The bunch of no-talent crybabies who have politicized the award show that he worked so had to get off the ground?

He would probably echo the sentiments expressed by Veteran Actor and True Professional, Michael Caine.

Two-time Oscar-winning actor Michael Caine has weighed in on the Oscars diversity controversy, saying in a recent interview that while he personally believes that one black actor in particular should have been nominated at this year’s ceremony, “you can’t vote for an actor because he’s black.”

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has come under fire for nominating exclusively white actors in top acting categories at this year’s Oscars, marking a repeat of last year’s #OscarsSoWhite controversy. Filmmakers Spike Lee and Michael Moore and actors Will and Jada Pinkett Smith have vowed not to attend the February 28 ceremony in protest, while others have simply spoken out to denounce the Academy for the lack of diversity in its nominating process.

But in an interview with BBC Radio 4’s Nick Robinson, Caine said that the quality of a performance, rather than the color of an actors’ skin, is paramount when considering Oscar nominations.

“There’s loads of black actors,” the 82-year-old Youth star said. “You can’t vote for an actor because he’s black. You can’t just say, ‘I’m going to vote for him. He’s not very good, but he’s black. I’ll vote for him.’ You have to give a good performance.”

Caine, who has been nominated six times for Oscars and won twice, said that he thought Idris Elba would be nominated for his role as the sadistic Commandant in the Netflix war drama Beasts of No Nation. When Robinson pointed out that Elba wasn’t nominated this year, Caine demurred.

“Well, look at me,” Caine said. “I won the [European Film Award] for best actor, and I got nominated for nothing else.” Caine’s film Youth was nominated for just one Oscar, for Best Original Song.

Caine said the best advice he could give to minority actors is to “be patient.”

“Of course it will come,” he said. “It took me years to get an Oscar.”

Since the Academy announced its nominations last week, a slew of actors, actresses and producers have spoken out to blast the awards show for its lack of diversity, including David Oyelowo, George Clooney, Lupita Nyong’o, Dustin Hoffman and Mark Ruffalo. Straight Outta Compton executive producer Will Packer has called the lack of nominations for people of color a “complete embarrassment,” while the Rev. Al Sharpton has called for Americans nationwide to “tune out” of the broadcast in protest.

However, some have defended the Academy in the wake of the media firestorm.

In an interview with Variety, Boyz ‘N The Hood director John Singleton said that “there are only so many slots” for nominations, and those nominations will go to those films and performances that the Academy feels should be recognized. Singleton, who became the first African-American to earn a Best Director nomination for the 1991 film, said that the Academy’s nominating process is “almost like the lottery.”

“It’s like every year people complain,” the director said. “People even complain even when we have a lot of nominations. It is what is is. I’ve been in the game for 25 years. You never know – it’s the luck of the draw for you. To me, I’m not surprised. I’m not disappointed either, as much as other people are disappointed. There’s a whole elevation of work that happens.”

Speaking to the Hollywood Reporter on Friday, Oscar-winning Schindler’s List producer Gerald Molen also defended the Academy and called the growing boycott movement against the Oscars “ridiculous.” Molen said it would be tough to believe that Academy members are not voting for minority actors because of their skin color.

“In a liberal town like Hollywood, that makes about as much sense as saying all members of the Academy vote Republican,” he joked.

Back in 2010, Dan Gainor, in an op ed for foxnews.com, observed that

Hollywood can’t have a big night any more without pushing the Left Coast agenda. It isn’t always big name awardees that reflect a political view. The anti-God, anti-Christian “Golden Compass” took home a Visual Effects Oscar in 2008. The Tommy Lee Jones anti-Iraq War movie “In the Valley of Elah” didn’t even win, but it was honored just by being there. In 2003, many in the audience even gave a standing ovation when child rapist Roman Polanski won Best Director for “The Pianist.”

Sometimes, good movies win. The pro-life “Juno” won and even one of the pro-Christian Narnia movies got an Oscar for make-up. But those are the exceptions that prove the rule. And on Oscar night, the Hollywood left most certainly rules.

As always, the Academy will claim it’s giving us a feast of film, only it isn’t. It’s not even baloney. It’s just the rest of the bull.

So is Modern American Liberals’ battle cry of “Diversity!”

If they are truly “Champions of Diversity”, why are the Liberal Democrat Party’s leading Potential Presidential Candidates both old white folks from the Northeast?

Liberals have been acting for years as if they cherish Diversity for Diversity ‘ s sake.

Perhaps they all deserve an Oscar Statue, too.

The War Against Christianity: Would I Be Willing to Die For Christ?

American FreedomI have written in the past that American Christians are fighting a war against an effort to undercut our faith, severely limiting our practice of it in everyday life.

With the present Administration spearheading the effort, Christian Americans are being marginalized , and our faith ridiculed and attacked as being against “diversity”, as the First Lady alluded to in her speech at a Topeka, Kansas Graduation Ceremony, which I wrote about yesterday.

As bad as things are getting in our country, Christians are not facing the choice of whether to renounce Jesus Christ as our Savior or die a martyr…yet.

On May 15th, in front of a judge in a Sudanese court, Meriam Yahia Ibrahim forthrightly declared that she was still, and always will be, a follower of Jesus Christ. The judge at the Public Order Court in El Haj Yousif Khartoum then confirmed her sentence of 100 lashes for adultery and death by hanging for apostasy.

Ibrahim told the judge after a Muslim scholar spent 40 minutes persuading her to recant,

I am a Christian, and I have never been a Muslim.

In response, the judge told her,

The court has sentenced you to be hanged till you are dead.

The sentence is to be carried out two years after her second child’s birth later this month.

Christian Solidarity Worldwide reported that the death sentence in the case, which is drawing international attention, and called the ruling a “violation of the Sudanese Constitution and of international conventions to which Sudan is party.”

According to Middle East Concern, Ibrahim’s lawyer is appealing the ruling. Ibrahim’s American husband was also not permitted to witness the hearing, and has been denied visitation rights to see his wife and son while they are detained in prison.

Ahead of the hearing on the 15th, Amnesty International condemned Ibrahim’s death sentence and called for her immediate release. According to Manar Idriss, Amnesty International’s Sudan researcher:

The fact that a woman could be sentenced to death for her religious choice, and to flogging for being married to a man of an allegedly different religion is abhorrent and should never be even considered. ‘Adultery’ and ‘apostasy’ are acts which should not be considered crimes at all, let alone meet the international standard of “most serious crimes” in relation to the death penalty. It is flagrant breach of international human rights law.

In July 2012, Saeed Abedini, an American pastor who is a dual Iranian-American citizen, went back to Iran to visit family and continue his work on a government approved orphanage. While in that  Radical Islamic county, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps placed Saeed under house arrest without charge. He was then sent to Evin Prison in September 2012.

In January, Saeed was sentenced to eight years in prison. He was charged with preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Saeed is not guilty of breaking any Iranian law. However, he was convicted of endangering national security because of gathering with other believers in private homes.

While in prison, Saeed has suffered internal bleeding from beatings and endured solitary confinement in an effort to make him recant his faith.

Although he has been denied medical attention, Saeed’s faith remains as strong as ever, as he has led 30 people to Christ while in prison.

Saeed’s family in Iran gets to visit him once a week at Evin Prison. His beloved wife, Naghmeh, and their children have not seen Saeed in over a year. During his most recent time in solitary confinement, Saeed said he felt many people praying and the time in solitary was a time of intimacy with God. When he came out, the other prisoners said he was glowing. In fact, Saeed said he was filled with more joy and peace after solitary than going in.

In a letter to Naghmeh, Saeed shared how he has hope despite the daily beatings he endures.

I heard that the persecution, my arrest and imprisonment has united churches from different denominations, from different cities and countries that would never come together because of their differences. That the churches have united together in prayer to put one request (my freedom) on one day (Pentecost) before God. You don’t know how happy I was in the Lord and rejoiced knowing that in my chains the body of Christ has chained together and is brought to action and prayer.

Would I be willing to die for my Savior?

Believe it or not, I have actually been asked that question by other Americans before by non-believers, both young and old, who could not fathom a faith comprised of unconditional love, supplied by a Triune God, who accepts his imperfect children, just as we are, without one plea. Bring a Love that will not let me go, no matter how many times I stumble, no matter how many times I fall, He always picks me back up, and helps me to continue to walk in faith, hope, and love. But, the greatest of these is love.

There is a “libertarian” (actually, a Liberal) who makes fun of believers on a Conservative Facebook Page I post on, by posting the words, “Onward Christian Soldiers”, attempting to point out Christian Hypocrisy…or something.

This “self-proclaimed genius” evidently has neglected to read the lyrics of this great old hymn…

Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war,
with the cross of Jesus going on before.

I pray that God will open this unbeliever’s eyes one day. However, until He does, this unbeliever and his fellow travelers will be oblivious to the fact that the war Christians fight is not against flesh and blood, but instead against “Princes and Principalities”.

And, to answer the question I raised earlier….

Yes. 

On Christ the Solid Rock I stand. All other ground is sinking sand.

May God continue to the strengthen these two brave Christians and may He continue to hold them and  their loved ones in the Hollow of His Hand.
