Nadler’s House Judiciary Committee to Vote This Week to Formalize Procedures of Impeachment Inquiry

The House Judiciary Committee plans to vote this week to formalize procedures for a growing impeachment inquiry, clarifying its investigative authorities and granting President Trump new due process, a draft resolution shows.

The Judiciary Committee took similar steps in the 1970s and 1990s when it conducted impeachment inquiries into Presidents Richard M. Nixon and Bill Clinton. Now, as then, Democrats believe the resolution, a copy of which was reviewed by The New York Times, will allow the panel to speed up its work and potentially elicit more information than it otherwise could about instances of possible obstruction of justice and abuses of power by Mr. Trump.

The development carries significant symbolic weight, as well.

Though the committee has already informed federal courts and the public that it is in the midst of a full-scale impeachment inquiry, the three-page resolution will be the first time lawmakers have recorded a vote to that effect. Committee leaders hope the move will send a signal to Congress and the White House that their investigation is not only proceeding but intensifying, even as the broader Democratic Party caucus remains divided over the merits of ultimately voting to impeach Mr. Trump.

Based on the committee’s investigative plans, the new procedures could be put to the test quickly in the coming weeks.

The committee is preparing to rapidly broaden the substance of the inquiry this fall beyond the investigation into any role by Trump associates in Russia’s meddling in the 2016 presidential election. On the agenda for new scrutiny are Mr. Trump’s role in illegal hush payments to women who said they had affairs with him, reports that he dangled pardons to immigration officials and whether his hotels and resorts have illegally profited from government spending.

If adopted, the new procedures would allow the committee’s chairman, Representative Jerrold Nadler of New York, to designate hearings of either the full Judiciary Committee or its subcommittees to be a part of the inquiry and subject to special rules. Though it sounds inconsequential, including the smaller, nimbler subcommittees in the inquiry would allow Democrats to speed up their work or steer less significant witnesses to the smaller panels.

Another provision says that after lawmakers themselves have exhausted time for questioning, committee staff members would be allowed to question a witness “for an additional hour equally divided between the majority and minority.” Democrats hope the arrangement will allow for more detailed, uninterrupted questioning.

The resolution also sets out standards that say information collected by the committee from witnesses or grand jury information shared by the courts should be kept private unless Mr. Nadler chooses otherwise.

And, for the first time, Mr. Trump and his legal team would be afforded specific due process by the committee, allowing them to regularly offer input on the findings of the investigation.

“The president’s counsel may respond in writing to information and testimony presented to the committee in open session,” the resolution says, adding that Mr. Trump’s lawyers may also be invited to review and respond to information kept secret if the chairman chooses.

One of the aides involved in drafting the resolution said that the president’s lawyers could yet play a larger, in-person role, as well, if they requested it.

There may be other benefits to taking a procedural vote, too. Though the resolution does not mention matters of decorum, Democrats believe the vote to adopt it will allow lawmakers to get around normal House rules that limit their ability to accuse the president of crime, the aide said.

The Judiciary Committee plans to finalize the resolution on Monday, the aides said, and could vote as soon as Wednesday to adopt it. Details of the procedures were first reported on Friday by Politico after Judiciary Committee aides briefed lawmakers on the planned vote, but the draft text has not previously been reported.

Lawmakers from the president’s party have oscillated between criticizing the mechanics of Democrats’ investigation and dismissing their’ impeachment efforts as a pathetic and futile hunt for nonexistent evidence to oust Mr. Trump. But without the votes to overpower the Democrats, they have little recourse but to vocally object.

“If they really want to do this, they have to bring impeachment to the floor,” the top Republican on the committee, Representative Doug Collins of Georgia, said on Fox News on Sunday. “This is simply a show. It is a travesty. And, frankly, they should be ashamed.”

The Judiciary Committee has been edging toward a full-scale impeachment inquiry since the spring, when Democrats began calling witnesses and demanding evidence related to a range of potential presidential misconduct.

But only in July, after testimony from Robert S. Mueller III, the special counsel, did the committee formally declare to a judge that what had begun as a regular congressional oversight investigation was now primarily focused on whether to recommend articles of impeachment.

Regardless of what THEY believe, Nadler and the rest of the House Democrats are not the Head of the three branches of our Constitutional Republic.

The House of Representatives was established by our Founding Fathers to be like the British House of Commons, that is, the LOWER House of Congress with the Senate being patterned after the House of Lords, or, the UPPER House.

The president does not answer to Congress. He can act on his own accord concerning matters of national security and foreign policy. And, the Judicial Branch has the ability to overturn legislation passed by Congress.

In their horrible grief over the disappointing outcomes of both the 2016 President Election and the Special Counsel’s Investigation, the Democratic Party, as evidenced by the Judicial Committees in both Houses of Congress, has been experiencing a psychotic break for quite a while now.

When Nadler and the House Dems voted to allow their staff to question the top Law Enforcement Officer in America, Attorney General William Barr,  it was an insult perpetrated in the name of pettiness and mean-spirited arrogance designed to insult AG Barr and President Trump.

If Formal Impeachment Hearings do come to pass, the spectacle of having Congressional Staffers question witnesses will only further define Congressional Democrats as being imperious out-of -control egotistical wannabe dictators.

They cannot and will not accept the reality in front of them.

With the majority of Americans in a CNN Poll released on May 1st saying that they do not want President Trump to be impeached, the Democrats evidently are determined to destroy their party’s chance of winning the 2020 Presidential Election, if they even have one.

To be truthful, I believe that the chance of building a snowman in Hell has better odds that the out-of-control Marxist Democrats have of winning the Presidency in 2020.

What are Nadler and the rest of the Democrats going to do when IG Horowitz’ and Attorney General Barr’s investigations both report the nefarious details of a silent coup to destroy both the Trump Presidential Campaign and his Presidency?

Why is it that the song “The Inquisition” from Mel Brook’s “The History of the World, Part 1”, keeps running through my mind?

Oy vey!

Majority of House Dems Support Impeaching Trump…Pelosi Trying to Keep Them From Jumping Off That “Cliff” into Oblivion

e590c0ba5b11d96bfe0f7e2378853318667adc89979aeba8e33738229e22342d

It’s just too much fun to point out. And the reason is that for 2-1/2 years or longer we’ve had to sit here essentially playing defense while a coalition of the Democrats and the Washington establishment and the media (which is all the same thing) has tried to run Donald Trump out of office with a very superiorist attitude. They are better people than we are. They are smarter and all of this. Donald Trump doesn’t deserve to have won, and so he shouldn’t — and they think they had the authority and power to overturn the election results. – Rush Limbaugh, 8/1/2019

FoxNews.com reports that

A majority of House Democrats now supports launching an impeachment inquiry for President Trump, according to a Fox News tally — the latest sign that Robert Mueller’s shaky testimony did little to arrest the momentum inside the caucus for that politically explosive step.

With fresh support for the inquiry from California Rep. Salud Carbajal, the number of House Democrats in favor reached 118 on Friday. That’s more than half of the 235 House Democrats.

“Our nation has seen and heard things from this president that have no place in our democracy. I believe it is time to open an impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump,” Carbajal tweeted.

Rep. Justin Amash, a Republican-turned-independent, also backs the impeachment push.

For now, the milestone is symbolic. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi remains cool to the idea, insisting Congress proceed with its investigations before considering such a drastic step. Late Friday, the speaker sought to assure members on the progress of those Trump investigations, releasing a bullet-point statement listing various developments.

“The Mueller report and his testimony last week confirmed that the President’s campaign welcomed Russian interference in the election, and laid out ten instances of the President’s obstruction of justice,” she said. “To protect our democracy and our Constitution, Democrats in the Congress continue to legislate, investigate and litigate. … In America, no one is above the law. The President will be held accountable.”

But the rapidly growing number in support of an impeachment inquiry shows that many members are not heeding her calls for patience, and not too concerned that the former special counsel’s testimony last week turned up no new bombshells.

Suggesting they’re driven in large part by the lingering allegations of obstruction, House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Eliot Engel, D-N.Y. — one of the most senior members to back an impeachment inquiry — said last week that the president has “abused the power of his office in an effort to stymie a legitimate investigation into his campaign’s involvement with Russia.”

A total of two-dozen lawmakers have endorsed the impeachment inquiry since Mueller’s back-to-back hearings. Those in support include 16 members of the House Judiciary Committee that would lead such an effort.

While confusion hangs over what exactly Democrats are pursuing, several have indicated they see their push as the prelude to a decision on whether to recommend articles of impeachment at the committee level. Some Democrats even said after the Mueller hearings that they were already proceeding with an “impeachment investigation.”

Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., as a next step, filed a petition in D.C. federal court to obtain grand jury materials from the former special counsel’s investigation. The petition claimed that the committee needed the information in order to determine whether to recommend articles of impeachment, in an attempt to give the request more weight in the eyes of the court.

But Nadler has not formally endorsed the impeachment inquiry process, arguing that the committee is essentially already doing the work of impeachment.

“Too much has been made of the phrase impeachment inquiry,” Nadler said, noting the panel’s ongoing probes of the president and his associates.

Trump, meanwhile, declared the Mueller testimony a “bust” while saying nothing will ever be “good enough” for Democrats determined to go after him.

“Robert Mueller’s testimony, and the Mueller Report itself, was a disaster for this illegal Democrat inspired Witch Hunt,” he tweeted afterward.

Mueller stood by his team’s findings at last week’s hearings—reiterating that the special counsel’s office found no evidence of a criminal conspiracy between Trump associates and Russia, while also stating that the president was not exonerated on allegations of obstruction of justice despite his assertions to the contrary.

But in doing so, he also repeatedly refused to drift beyond the bounds of his report. This was, to an extent, expected as Mueller had signaled he would only address material already in the public record.

Meanwhile, Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee have argued that an impeachment inquiry is “not an official thing” and blasted the latest court filing. Committee Ranking Member Doug Collins, R-Ga., said last week that Democrats have “no right” to the grand jury materials to begin with.

“Chairman Nadler’s legal action here is sure to fail, weakening Congress’s ability to conduct oversight now and into the future. If my colleagues want grand jury information, they should propose legislation allowing Congress to access it,” he said in a statement. “Democrats want to convince their base they’re still wedded to impeachment even after [last week’s] hearing, but a baseless legal claim is an odd way to show that.”

But even as his committee proceeds with court filings and their Trump-focused investigation, Nadler has danced around whether Democrats are officially running an impeachment inquiry.

“We have impeachment resolutions before the committee. We are conducting investigations to determine whether we should report those impeachment resolutions to the House or direct our own and report those to the House. We’re considering those resolutions,” Nadler said on ABC’s “This Week” Sunday. “We’ll make a determination after we get more evidence as to the president’s crimes that we had from the Mueller report and also from other things.”

He added: “We’re investigating whether to report — whether to approve articles of impeachment before the committee.”

And despite her public reluctance to proceed with impeachment, Pelosi said she is keeping options open.

“Let’s get sophisticated on this,” she said last week. “We will proceed when we have what we need to proceed–not one day sooner.”

San Fran Nan is attempting to somehow combat Trump’s rising popularity and their tanking favorability ratings. To her credit, she has figured out that impeaching President Trump is not the answer to the Democrats’ problems.

The past two years have clearly shown that the Modern Democratic Party remains consumed by their grief over losing the 2016 Presidential Election and their hatred for the man who is now sitting in the Oval Office, Donald J. Trump.

The Democrats put all their eggs in one basket: their fervent desire that somehow, someway, Robert Mueller could find some sort of impeachable offense against President Trump.

When he did not, they brought him in to testify, thinking that he would give some sort of information which would set the President up to be impeached.

That didn’t happen and now the floor of the House of Representatives resembles the Tower of Babel…a whole lot of taking going on with no one listening to each other because they do not speak the same language.

Thee biggest problem that the Democrats face is the fact that the President keeps on succeeding in fulfilling his Campaign Promises even though the Democrats and their Propaganda Arm, the Main Stream Media, have thrown every thing that they could think of at him, including Fake News Stories that they desperately made up.

The economy is booming, Trump keeps winning, and the Dems keep losing.

Despite the Fed’s efforts to slow America’s comeback down, new homes are being built and unemployment remains low.

And, average Americans are loving it.

They learned nothing at all during their 2 years out of power.

For the Democratic Party to begin winning elections again, they are going to have to abandon the Far Left Political Ideology, inspired by Karl Marx and Saul Alinsky, which they have bitterly clung to as their “religion” for the past several decades.

The absurdity and downright anti-Americanism of their “Tenets of Faith” have been anathema to Americans living in America’s Heartland, the ones responsible for an American Businessman and Entrepreneur being elected our 45th President.

Those who sit in judgment of us average Americans like the Pharisees in the ancient Holy Land are going to have to climb down from their bar stools at the Washington Capitol Hill Country Club, and come home to visit us “common” people, attend ballgames, picnics, charitable public events, and even…GASP!…attend church with us, if they wish to represent average Americans in our Sovereign Nation’s Halls of Power again.

However, realistically, I do not see any of my suggestions coming to pass.

Democrats are too ensconced is their own belief system which states that…

  • Americans are “jingoistic”.
  • America is responsible for all of the world’s ills.
  • The evils of American Capitalism are responsible for the world’s climate, not the God of Abraham.
  • Perversion is perfectly normal.
  • They ARE “The Smartest People in the Room”.

There are many more “Tenets of Faith” that the Democrats believe. However, for the sake of brevity, I will move on.

Years ago, the Democratic Party and reality took divergent paths.

Instead of serving the wishes of the American people as they are SUPPOSED to be doing, the Democrats in the House of Representatives are only serving themselves by refusing to end their quest for impeachment.

If they do not wake up and smell what they are shoveling and start taking care of the “will of the people”, the Democrats will go the way of the Whigs.

Their party’s slow, painful demise will be great for the Popcorn Industry….

…and America.

And, judging from their lack of accomplishments thus far, the Pelosi-led House of Representatives is going to do nothing to halt the Dem’s downward descent into oblivion.

Pass the salt and butter, please.

Nadler Continues to Pursue Vendetta Against Trump, Accuses Him of “High Crimes and Misdemeanors”

Everything is changing. People are taking their comedians seriously and the politicians as a joke. – Will Rogers

FoxNews.com reports that

Rep. Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., accused President Trump of committing “high crimes and misdemeanors” on “Fox News Sunday” this week and said Trump’s infractions meet the standard of impeachment.

“The [Mueller] report presents very substantial evidence that the president is guilty of high crimes and misdemeanors and we have to present — or let Mueller present those facts to the American people and then see where we go from there,” he said.

“Because the administration must be held accountable and no president can be above the law.”

Host Chris Wallace asked Nadler what Democrats will do if Mueller’s testimony falls flat, and the House Judiciary chairman said he expects the hearing to have an impact on the electorate and plans to ask specific fact-finding questions to help enlighten the public.

“Well, we hope it won’t end up being a dud,” he replied. “And we’re going to ask specific questions about — look at page 344, paragraph two, please read it. Does that describe obstruction of justice and did you find that the president did that, for example.”

Nadler also said he isn’t worried about Republicans asking probing questions about the investigation’s origins via the Steele dossier, and claimed they’d only be wasting their time.

“It’s been very clear that the Trump investigation was not predicated on the so-called dossier that they’re talking about. There was nothing wrong with the FISA application. All the things they’re talking about have been gone through. The inspector general found that there was nothing wrong with the other half of what they’re talking about, which is the Hillary [Clinton] investigation. He’s finishing it,” Nadler said.

“If they want to debate, or discuss, I should say, this irrelevancy, let them waste the time. But what’s before the American people now is the conduct of this president. And what Mueller found about the conduct of this president and where we go from here.”

Mueller is scheduled to appear on Capitol Hill this Wednesday to discuss the contents of his final report.

Why does Rep. Nadler refuse to move on and put an end to his pursuit of the failed “Russian Collusion Delusion”?

Simple, gentle readers.

Rep. Jerry Nadler is pursuing a vendetta against President Donald J. Trump.

Back on April 9th of this year, FoxNews.com posted about this decades-old dust-up…

“Congressman Jerry Nadler fought me for years on a very large development I built on the West Side of Manhattan. He wanted a Rail Yard built underneath the development or even better, to stop the job. He didn’t get either & the development became VERY successful,” Trump tweeted Tuesday.

“Nevertheless, I got along very well with Jerry during the zoning and building process. Then I changed course (slightly), became President, and now I am dealing with Congressman Nadler again. Some things never end, but hopefully it will all go well for everyone. Only time will tell!” he added.

The president’s tweets come after The Washington Post reported on the history of their feud. The Post reported that it began in 1985, when Nadler was a New York State assemblyman. The Post reported that Trump, at the time, purchased property in Nadler’s district and wanted to build a development, which he reportedly wanted to call “Television City.” But Nadler wanted the property, which was a former railroad yard, to be upgraded instead. Nadler reportedly blocked Trump from public funds and mortgage insurance.

Trump ultimately began construction on the property and worked to develop residential buildings, but in 2005, after construction delays and pushback from lawmakers, Trump reportedly sold the property for $1.8 billion.

Nadler and the rest of the House Democrats are not the Head of the three branches of our Constitutional Republic.

The House of Representatives was established by our Founding Fathers to be like the British House of Commons, that is, the LOWER House of Congress with the Senate being patterned after the House of Lords, or, the UPPER House.

And, what happens when all Mueller does during his testimony is to re-iterate the information found in his voluminous report?

Stay tuned, Deplorables.

..And, get your popcorn ready.

Mueller to Testify Before Nadler and Schiff’s House Committees on July 17th

schiff-nadler-mueller

I feel like we are all in a “Neverending Story” sequel with Nancy Pelosi playing the flying white dog-dragon.

FoxNews.com reports that

Former Special Counsel Robert Mueller has agreed to testify before the House Judiciary and Intelligence Committees on July 17 after they subpoenaed the special counsel Tuesday, according to the committees’ chairmen, Reps. Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., and Adam Schiff, D-Calif.

Congressional Democrats have fought to get access to Mueller and his unredacted report on Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election and whether President Trump obstructed justice. Weeks of negotiations between House Democrats and the Justice Department ultimately ended with the subpoena.

Fox News has learned Mueller would appear only under a subpoena, which has been described as a “friendly” subpoena, one that in essence had been planned. Mueller is expected to stick to the “four corners” of his report.

“Americans have demanded to hear directly from the Special Counsel so they can understand what he and his team examined, uncovered, and determined about Russia’s attack on our democracy, the Trump campaign’s acceptance and use of that help, and President Trump and his associates’ obstruction of the investigation into that attack,” Nadler and Schiff said in a joint statement.

In this March 24, 2019 photo, then-special counsel Robert Mueller walks past the White House, after attending St. John’s Episcopal Church for morning services, in Washington. Mueller will testify publicly before House panels on July 17 after being subpoenaed. (AP Photo/Cliff Owen, File)

Mueller did not immediately comment. In a news conference last month in which he delivered his first public remarks in more than two years, the special counsel said he did not wish to appear before lawmakers.

“The report is my testimony,” he said.

The news conference emboldened some Democrats’ demands for answers and a push to launch impeachment proceedings against Trump. Many have accused the president of obstructing Mueller’s two-year investigation, which found 100 contacts between Russian operatives and the 2016 Trump campaign. Mueller wrote that he found insufficient evidence to establish a conspiracy between the campaign and Russia.

Mueller reiterated last month that his 448-page report did not entirely clear Trump. “If we had had confidence that the president clearly did not commit a crime, we would have said so,” he said.

The special counsel charged 34 people — including 26 Russians. High-level Trump campaign and administration officials have pleaded guilty in deals with federal prosecutors.

Attorney General Bill Barr said previously that he had no problem with Mueller testifying and would not stand in the way.

The above article quotes the House of Representatives’ version of Laurel and hardy, otherwise known as Schiff and Nadler, as proclaiming in a “Royal Decree” that

“Americans have demanded to hear directly from the Special Counsel so they can understand what he and his team examined, uncovered, and determined about Russia’s attack on our democracy, the Trump campaign’s acceptance and use of that help, and President Trump and his associates’ obstruction of the investigation into that attack.”

Those guys need to smell what they are shoveling.

No American that I know living here in the Heartland wants another serving of the nothingburger known as the Mueller Report.

Regardless of what Nadler, Schiff, and the rest of the obsessed Democrat Politicians claim, Americans are ready for the House to actually get to work and do something, ANYTHING, productive, instead of attempting to overthrow the 2016 Presidential Election results.

This Impeachment-without-impeaching of President Trump got old a looong time ago.

Attorney General Barr and Asst. Director of the DOJ Rosenstein thoroughly reviewed the report and determined that there was no collusion and no obstruction of justice.

However, that has not been good enough for the Democrats in the House and Senate.

Make no mistake about this, gentle readers, they have not been asking for Special Counsel Mueller to testify before the House Subcommittees because they care about the cause of justice or the wellbeing of American Citizens.

Just as it was in the case of their support for Special Counsel Mueller and his team of Investigators comprised of 19 Democratic Donors, the Democrats want to obstruct, delay, and derail President Trump from his mission to fulfill the Campaign Promises which he made to Americans.

Also, just as I have been writing concerning the Mueller Investigation for the last two plus years, the REAL story remains the corruption of the Obama Administration. Specifically, all of the malfeasance of Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, including E-mailgate, the Clinton Foundation Pay-for-Pay Scandal, Uranium One, and the Benghazi Massacre.

For the Democrats in the House of Representatives to perpetuate a false narrative through the arduous and interminable “Investigative Hearings” which they have scheduled and presided over with vengeful glee, they have had to willingly participate in an exercise in futility which has done nothing but deepen the hole which they have already dug for themselves with average Americans even deeper.

As I repeatedly warned, by concentrating their energies and the taxpayers’ time and money on their vendetta against the 45th President, instead of actually bringing up legislation that would help average Americans, they are not only in the process of possibly losing their phony boloney jobs in Washington, they will no doubt once again (at least) be denied the Presidency, as well.

However, thinking about it, their hate for Trump and us “Deplorables” is all they have.

The President and the American Citizens who voted for him, stand in the way of their goal to bring Marxism in the form of “Democratic Socialism” to “The Shining City Upon a Hill”, subsequently turning America into a Third World Barrio.

Hopefully, the Far Left Democrats and their “New Bolsheviks” will eventually figure out that average Americans still do not want what they are offering.

If we did, we would be suffering under the thumb of President Hillary Clinton.

And, since there was NO RUSSIAN COLLUSION by President Trump or his Campaign Staff, it means that Americans were the ones who stopped Hillary Clinton from becoming President.

Perhaps the Democrats should stop their tantrum long enough to reflect on that for a while.

Trump Instructs McGahn to Skip Today’s Judiciary Committee Inquisition Citing Executive Privilege Ruling by DOJ

trump-don-mcgahn_CNNPH

FoxNews.com reports that

President Trump has directed former White House Counsel Don McGahn to skip a House Judiciary Committee hearing scheduled for Tuesday, citing a Justice Department opinion that he cannot be compelled to testify about his official duties.

In a statement released Monday afternoon, White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders blasted Democrats for continuing to pursue Trump investigations, saying they want a “wasteful and unnecessary do-over” in the wake of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s probe — and describing the subpoena for McGahn as part of that.

“The House Judiciary Committee has issued a subpoena to try and force Mr. McGahn to testify again. The Department of Justice has provided a legal opinion stating that, based on long-standing, bipartisan, and Constitutional precedent, the former Counsel to the President cannot be forced to give such testimony, and Mr. McGahn has been directed to act accordingly,” Sanders said. “This action has been taken in order to ensure that future Presidents can effectively execute the responsibilities of the Office of the Presidency.”

The related DOJ memo said McGahn, like other senior advisers to a president, has “immunity” from being compelled to testify about his official duties.

“This immunity applies to the former White House Counsel. Accordingly, Mr. McGahn is not legally required to appear and testify about matters related to his official duties as Counsel to the President,” the memo said.

The New York Times first reported that the president would likely direct McGahn to skip the hearing.

The move could set the stage for the panel to vote to hold the former White House counsel in contempt for defying a congressionally issued subpoena. Fox News is told the committee still intends to meet on Tuesday, whether or not McGahn is present.

The committee announced the hearing last week, but it was unclear whether McGahn would appear due to the ongoing battle between congressional Democrats and the White House over his testimony.

Earlier this month, Sanders said she did not “anticipate” that a hearing would take place. “We consider this to be a case closed and we’re moving forward to do the work of the American people,” Sanders said on ABC News’ “The Investigation” podcast.

The committee, led by Chairman Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., subpoenaed McGahn on April 22, days after the release of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report, which featured McGahn prominently in its section related to the obstruction of justice inquiry. This included a claim that McGahn disobeyed Trump’s call to have him seek Mueller’s removal.

“On June 17, 2017, the president called [White House Counsel Don] McGahn at home and directed him to call the Acting Attorney General and say that the Special Counsel had conflicts of interest and must be removed. McGahn did not carry out the direction, however, deciding that he would resign rather than trigger what he regarded as a potential Saturday Night Massacre,” the report stated, referencing the Watergate scandal.

The report also revealed that when the media reported on the president’s request, the president directed White House officials “to tell McGahn to dispute the story and create a record stating he had not been ordered to have the special counsel removed.” He did not.

The House committee’s subpoena, coming amid a fight over access to the unredacted Mueller report, called for McGahn to appear before the panel to testify and provide documents related to the Mueller investigation.

But earlier this month, now-White House Counsel Pat Cipollone first notified the committee that McGahn would not be allowed to comply with the subpoena, saying requests for documents and materials must go to the White House.

“The White House provided these records to Mr. McGahn in connection with its cooperation with the Special Counsel’s investigation and with the clear understanding that the records remain subject to the control of the White House for all purposes,” Cipollone wrote. “The White House records remain legally protected from disclosure under longstanding constitutional principles, because they implicate significant Executive Branch confidentiality interests and executive privilege.”

He added: “Because Mr. McGahn does not have the legal right to disclose these documents to third parties, I would ask the Committee to direct any request for such records to the White House, the appropriate legal custodian.”

Cipollone wrote that acting chief of staff Mick Mulvaney “has directed Mr. McGahn not to produce these White House records,” adding that the Justice Department concurs with their legal position.

But Nadler has stressed the importance of McGahn’s testimony, saying it would “help shed further light on the president’s attacks on the rule of law, and his attempts to cover up those actions by lying to the American people and requesting others to do the same.”

Trump, though, said he never told McGahn to fire Mueller, and tweeted last month that if he “wanted to fire Mueller, I didn’t need McGahn to do it, I could have done it myself.”

I am quite positive that he would have.

Nadler refuses to end his vendetta against Donald J. Trump.

They cannot and will not except the reality in front of them.

Nadler and company can subpoena Former White House Counsel Don McGahn, Attorney General William Barr, and even Trump’s children and grandchildren, but as they finding out the hard way, it will all be for naught.

They can all tell Congress to “talk to the hand”, just as Obama’s Attorney General Eric Holder told Congress over the “Operation Fast and Furious” gun-running scandal.

The reason being, per The Washington Post, Trump, just like Obama, can invoke executive privilege.

According to the writer of the opinion piece, Michael W. McConnell,

…the House should recognize that the executive is an equal branch of government with constitutional privileges of its own. For a president to assert the rights of his office, as almost every president has done, is neither blameworthy nor impeachable.

The House Democrats need to stop their Impeachment/Not Impeachment Kangaroo Court before the America Public gets hopping mad.

Attorney General Barr and Asst. Director of the DOJ Rosenstein thoroughly reviewed the Mueller Report and determined that there was no collusion and no obstruction of justice.

However, that is not good enough for the Democrats.

Make no mistake about this, gentle readers, they are not still asking for the release of the full report because they care about the cause of justice or the wellbeing of American Citizens.

For the Democrats in the House of Representatives to perpetuate a false narrative through the arduous and interminable schedule of “Investigative Hearings” which they are attempting to carry out with vengeful glee, they have willingly participating in an exercise in futility which will do nothing but deepen the hole which they have already dug for themselves with average Americans even deeper.

As I have repeatedly warned, by concentrating their energies and the taxpayers’ time and money on their vendetta against the 45th President, instead of actually bringing up legislation that would help average Americans, they are not only liable to lose their phony boloney jobs in Washington, they will once again (at least) be denied the Presidency, as well.

House Dems Calling for AG Barr to Be Arrested…For What? Not Getting Their Way?

the-house-judiciary-committee-reportedly-plans-to-authorize-subpoenas-for-the-mueller-report-and-its-underlying-evidence-this-week

FoxNews.com reports that

The battle between congressional Democrats and the Justice Department over Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia report has reached new levels of vitriol, as some on the left call for Attorney General Bill Barr to be physically dragged in to testify or even locked up for defying congressional subpoenas.

The demands have escalated after the attorney general refused to appear before the House Judiciary Committee last week amid disagreementsover the format of the hearing.

Though he testified a day earlier on the Senate side, Democrats on the committee still want to bring in the DOJ leader to answer questions on the conclusion of Mueller’s investigation. Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., also imposed a Monday morning deadline for Barr to turn over the full, unredacted Mueller report and additional files — a deadline the DOJ apparently missed, prompting Nadler to schedule a Wednesday vote on contempt proceedings against Barr.

Committee member Rep. Steve Cohen, D-Tenn., over the weekend urged the panel to specifically pursue “inherent contempt,” calling for Barr to be arrested by the Sergeant at Arms and be physically brought before the committee to testify—a tactic reportedly not employed since the 1930s.

“I think they will stonewall at all costs,” Cohen told CNN’s Anderson Cooper, adding that the situation “leaves us no other alternative than to have our Sergeant at Arms bring him in. He is being utterly contemptuous of Congress. He lied to the Congress.”

Inherent contempt, which allows a person to be held until they provide testimony, is one of three contempt options available, along with criminal contempt (under which an individual is charged with a crime) and civil judgment (leading to a civil court process)

Cohen added: “You have to have him sit for a hearing and you have to have him locked up until he agrees to participate and come to the hearing.”

Cohen said that he did not know what the committee would do but argued that without pursuing that avenue, a congressional contempt citation would be “meaningless.”

The DOJ has not publicly responded to Cohen’s warning, though a spokeswoman fired back last week when House Speaker Nancy Pelosi accused Barr of committing a crime by allegedly lying in prior testimony. The DOJ called the attack “reckless, irresponsible and false.”

Still, the scenario Cohen suggested has thus far not been entertained by higher-ranking Democrats. Cohen — who drew mockery last week for bringing a KFC bucket to the no-show hearing, eating fried chicken in full view of press cameras and placing a toy chicken by Barr’s empty seat in order to suggest Barr is, himself, like a chicken — even suggested the contempt scenarios might not produce much action.

“It shows we want to hold him in contempt, but that fact is, he won’t be held in contempt because the Justice Department is not going to enforce a contempt citation against their boss,” Cohen explained. “It’s just not going to happen. Trump and Barr would fire whoever tried to do it.”

But Cohen isn’t the only one on the left calling for such a drastic measure.

Former Clinton Labor Secretary Robert Reich penned an op-ed last week titled “Congress should be ready to arrest Bill Barr if he defies subpoena.”

“[T]he House can order its own sergeant-at-arms to arrest the offender, subject him to a trial before the full House, and, if judged to be in contempt, jail that person until he appears before the House and brings whatever documentation the House has subpoenaed,” Reich wrote in the op-ed for Salon. “Congress hasn’t actually carried through on the threat since 1935 — but it could. Would America really be subject to the wild spectacle of the sergeant-at-arms of the House arresting an Attorney General and possibly placing him in jail?”

“Probably not,” he wrote. “Before that ever occurred, the Trump administration would take the matter to the Supreme Court on an expedited basis.”

Reich also said that Trump’s alleged “contempt for the inherent power of Congress” is “the most dictatorial move he has initiated since becoming president.”

Another column in The Week, titled “William Barr is in contempt. Congress should send him to jail,” discussed a similar scenario.

“And there’s a simple solution for the House to enact if Barr really doesn’t show up: Formally hold him in contempt of Congress, then send him to jail,” Joel Mathis wrote. “That’s a radical suggestion, but this is a radical moment.”

Meanwhile, most prominent Democrats have argued instead that Barr should resign amid the controversy.

“He lied to Congress. And if anybody else did that, it would be considered a crime,” Pelosi told reporters. “Nobody is above the law. Not the president of the United States. Not the attorney general.”

Pelosi’s public comments came after she, according to Politico, told Rep. Charlie Crist, D-Fla., during a private caucus meeting Thursday: “We saw [Barr] commit a crime when he answered your question.”

She was referring to an April 9 hearing, where Crist had asked whether Barr knew what prompted reports that prosecutors on the special counsel team were frustrated with his initial summary. Barr said he did not.

But last week, The Washington Post first reported that Special Counsel Robert Mueller contacted Barr, both in a letter and in a phone call, to express concerns after Barr released his four-page summary of Mueller’s findings in March. Mueller pushed Barr to release the executive summaries written by the special counsel’s office.

However, according to both the Post and the Justice Department, Mueller made clear that he did not feel that Barr’s summary was inaccurate. Instead, Mueller told Barr that media coverage of the letter had “misinterpreted” the results of the probe concerning obstruction of justice.

Pelosi, last week, was asked if Barr should go to jail for the alleged crime.

“There is a process involved here and as I said, I’ll say it again, the committee will have to come to how we will proceed,” Pelosi said.

Uh huh.

May I ask, specifically, what in the H-E-Double-Hockey Sticks are Nadler and the rest of the clown show known as the House Democrats citing him for contempt for?

Not providing an unredacted copy of the Mueller Report?

There is one available in a secure room. Three Republicans have read it.

For all of their hyperbolic concern, none of the House Democrats have.

It is in that room because it is against the law to reveal the names and personal information of the Grand Jury Members.

The House Dems know that. However, they desperately want to “doxx” the Grand Jury Members, revealing their identities, addresses, and phone numbers to the world so that their minions, the New Bolsheviks, can attack them like Supreme Court Associate Justice Brett Kavanaugh, Fox News’ Tucker Carlson, and Black Republican Activist Candace Owens have been attacked.

For “lying” about an ALLEGED crime?

Really? Wasn’t the Mueller Report enough of a nothingburger for the House Dems?

Perhaps, it is because he refusd to submit himself to a day of questioning from a bunch of surrogates, including House Democrat Staff Lawyers and Assistants, in an unprecedented move brought about by a bunch of Democrat Pharisees in the House who were afraid that Barr would humiliate them on live TV the way he did their fellow Democrats in the Senate.

Also, they wanted to attempt to catch the Attorney General in some sort of perjury trap.

I believe that it is all of the above, plus the fact that the Attorney General is about to begin an investigation into the origins of the “Collusion Delusion”, and the House Dems know that it is going to dwarf Watergate in size and scope to the extent that it will lead all the way to Former President Barack Hussein Obama.

The antics of the House Dems remind me of the Little Rascals shorts which involved their scheming and planning to get themselves out of some sort of trouble or to get even with Butch or Waldo.

The problem that the Democrat Clowns in the House face is the fact that in those shorts, the Good Guys, the Little Rascals always won.

And, Nadler, Cohen, et al are playing the parts of Butch and Waldo.

So, Democrats of the House of Representatives, go ahead and attempt to arrest the Attorney General of the United States of America.

And, be ready to reap what you sow.

Trump to Fox News About Potential Nadler Subpoenas: “They’ve Testified for Many Hours, All of Them. I Would Say, It’s Done.”

kfc8.jpg

FoxNews.com reports that

President Trump told Fox News in an exclusive wide-ranging interview Thursday evening that the White House has lost patience with congressional Democrats, and forcefully dismissed their efforts to subpoena former White House counsel Don McGahn and other administration officials to testify.

“They’ve testified for many hours, all of them. I would say, it’s done,” Trump told Fox News’ Chief Intelligence Correspondent Catherine Herridge. “Nobody has ever done what I’ve done. I’ve given total transparency. It’s never happened before like this. They shouldn’t be looking anymore. It’s done.”

Trump added, in a shot at the total cost of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe: “Even my finances, it must have been looked at — for $35 million, I assume they looked at my taxes, I assume Mueller looked at my financial statements. For $35 million, and having 20 people, 49 FBI agents, and all of the staff and all of the money they spent, I assume they looked at my taxes, which are fine — except they are under audit, by the way.”

Trump has called the subpoena issued to McGahn by House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., a “ridiculous” waste of time. The ex-White House lawyer sat for more than two dozen hours of interviews with Mueller and featured prominently in Mueller’s report, and Trump has disputed the account in the report that he ordered McGahn to fire Mueller at one point.

Trump additionally told Herridge he expected that key FBI documents that may shed light on the origins of the bureau’s probe into his campaign could be declassified and released within a matter of weeks, or months at the latest.

Trump previously told Fox News that his attorneys advised him not to declassify and release the full documents — including surveillance warrant applications to monitor former Trump aide Carter Page and related materials — while the Mueller probe was ongoing, for fear the administration would be accused of obstructing justice by doing so.

Asked about New York Attorney General Letitia James’ ongoing efforts to investigate him on multiple fronts, Trump dismissed the probes as partisan stunts.

“Can you imagine someone campaigning — she doesn’t know anything about me, and she’s campaigning on that fact,” Trump said of the Democrat. “They’ve gone through everything — my taxes, my financial statements, which are phenomenal. And I’m so clean. Think of it — after two and a half years, and all of that money spent, nothing. Very few people could have sustained that.”

He’s right.

As I sat in front of my television before going to work yesterday morning, I watched as veteran Democratic Congressional Democrats literally lost their sh…er…minds.

Between House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler literally calling President Trump everything but a Child of God and Rep. Steve Cohen of Tennessee’s majority-black 9th District sitting there with a rubber chicken, eating KFC, the American people were bearing witness to a scene straight from “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest”.

In their horrible grief over the disappointing outcomes of both the 2016 President Election and the Special Counsel’s Investigation, the Democratic Party, as evidenced by the Judicial Committees in both Houses of Congress, has experienced a psychotic break.

They cannot and will not except the reality in front of them.

Nadler and company can subpoena Attorney General Barr, Former White House Counsel Don McGahn, and even Trump’s children and grandchildren, but it will all be for naught.

They can all tell Congress to “talk to the hand”, just as Obama’s Attorney General Eric Holder told Congress over the “Operation Fast and Furious” gun-running scandal.

The reason being, per The Washington Post, Trump, just like Obama can invoke executive privilege.

According to the writer of the opinion piece, Michael W. McConnell,

…the House should recognize that the executive is an equal branch of government with constitutional privileges of its own. For a president to assert the rights of his office, as almost every president has done, is neither blameworthy nor impeachable.

And, as far as the State of New York’s Democratic Attorney General Letitia James is concerned, Trump is right. She has nothing.

All of this attacking by the Democrats is going to look even worse after the FBI Inspector General’s report comes out in a couple of weeks, followed by Trump’s releasing of the FISA Documents.

Then the entire world will see that all of this “sound and fury, signifying nothing” has been to cover the fact that member of the Obama Administration, UNDER ORDERS, did indeed SPY on Candidate Trump AND President Trump in a Deep State Operation which can only be called an act of sedition.

When that happens Rep. Steve Cohen and his fellow Democrats will no longer be eating Kentucky Fried Chicken.

They will be eating crow.

Barr Refuses to Allow Congressional Staffers to Grill Him in House Judiciary Committee Meeting…Why He’s Right

1140486606-William-Barr-Testimony

FoxNews.com reports that

The House Judiciary Committee has been informed that Attorney General Bill Barr will not testify at a planned hearing Thursday, an aide to the panel told Fox News — even as the Democrats who lead the committee vowed to hold the hearing anyway, and threatened a possible contempt citation against Barr.

The prospect of House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y, gaveling a hearing with an empty chair came hours after Barr endured withering questioning from the Senate Judiciary Committee earlier in the day.

Democratic Caucus chairman Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., said Wednesday afternoon that Democrats “plan on subpoenaing” Barr “if he decides not to show up.”

“He can run but he can’t hide,” Jeffries said.

A key sticking point was that Nadler wants to have House Judiciary Committee staff — rather than members of Congress — question Barr on his handling of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report. But DOJ officials said members should conduct the inquiry, and it was unclear why Democrats did not propose having staffers simply provide questions to members during the hearing.

In remarks to reporters Wednesday afternoon, Nadler said Democrats had “worked around the clock” to address Barr’s concerns, and slammed what he called Barr’s “lack of candor.”

“He’s trying to blackmail the committee into not following the most effective means of eliciting the information we need,” Nadler said. “He is terrified of having to face a skilled attorney.”

Nadler also said the DOJ had denied House Democrats’ request for the full and unredacted Mueller report, and said compliance with congressional subpoenas is “not optional.”

Although Barr has not yet been subpoenaed to testify, Nadler said contempt citations could be possible down the road not only if the full Mueller report is not released, but also if Barr does not comply with a possible future subpoena. The move would not be unprecedented: Republicans in the House held Obama Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt in 2012, after he refused to provide information on the failed gun-running sting known as “Fast and Furious.”

Republicans insisted Democrats had deliberately derailed the hearing.

“It’s a shame Members of the House Judiciary Committee won’t get the opportunity to hear from Attorney General Barr this Thursday, because Chairman Nadler chose to torpedo our hearing,” House Judiciary Committee ranking member Doug Collins, R-Ga., said in a statement. “The attorney general gave clear, informative testimony in the Senate Wednesday, as he offered to do more than a month ago in the House tomorrow.”

Collins added: “By rejecting the chance to question Attorney General Barr or read the materials he’s provided, Democrats are trying to prolong an investigation the special counsel completed. Ultimately, though, they’re ignoring the will of the majority of Americans who want Congress to move on and secure our border and continue to strengthen our economy.”

“We’re not torpedoeing this hearing,” Nadler countered, responding to Collins’ remarks. He added that Barr has a “nerve” to challenge the panel’s ability to conduct its own hearing.

Speaking to Fox News’ “Hannity” Wednesday night, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham focused on the larger context.

“Well, to all my friends on the other side: We gave Mueller two years to do his job,” Graham said. “He had 19 lawyers. He had $25 million, he interviewed 500 people, he issued 2,000 subpoenas. He had plenty of opportunity without interference. The president gave him a million and a half documents. Everybody around the president and on the president’s campaign testified voluntarily, and here’s what we know: There was no conspiracy between the Trump campaign and the Russians at all. Mueller could not decide — chose not to press forward on obstruction. I always thought the obstruction argument was absurd. It is over, and the reason they are mad at Barr and me is because they didn’t get the outcome they want. My friends on the other side want an outcome, and they don’t care how they get it.”

Graham added: “To give Mueller the space to do his job is not enough. When Mueller gives an answer they don’t like, they destroy Bill Barr. Bill Barr’s a fine man, he will sleep well tonight. His critics are the problem, not him. “

DOJ spokesperson Kerri Kupec, meanwhile, called Nadler’s demands “inappropriate” and said Barr remains open to speaking to members directly.

So, why does Rep. Nadler have such a burr in his saddle about President Trump?

Well, there are a couple of reasons.

According to Breitbart.com in an article posted on April 9th,

“Congressman Jerry Nadler fought me for years on a very large development I built on the West Side of Manhattan,” Trump wrote on Twitter. “He wanted a Rail Yard built underneath the development or even better, to stop the job. He didn’t get either & the development became VERY successful. Nevertheless, I got along very well with Jerry during the zoning and building process.”

The battle between Trump and Nadler took place in the 1980s over a development project on Manhattan’s West Side, according to the Washington Post‘s Josh Dawsey.

Trump acknowledged that his relationship with Nadler changed significantly when be became president, but signaled optimism that their relationship could be a positive one.

“Then I changed course (slightly), became President, and now I am dealing with Congressman Nadler again,” Trump wrote. “Some things never end, but hopefully it will all go well for everyone. Only time will tell!”

But Nadler has demonstrated he has little interest in working with the president.

In 2018, the Federalist’s Mollie Hemingway overheard Nadler promising to go “all-in” to investigate Trump and his connections with Russia after Democrats won a House majority in the midterm elections.

The second reason is one shared by every Democrat Politician in Washington, D.C.

They want to demean and destroy President Trump, his Administration, including AG Barr, his staff, his friends, and his entire family.

Why?

Because he defeated Hillary Clinton in the 2016 Presidential Election and he is succeeding in keeping his Campaign Promises, including bringing back America’s Economy, ruining the Democrats’ chances of turning America into a Marxist Nation.

And, now that the Mueller Report has turned out to be a bunch of “sound and fury, signifying nothing” the Democrats and their Propaganda Arm, the Main Stream Media, have been shown to be nothing but a bunch of bald-faced liars.

Make no mistake, the Democrat Hierarchy including the Democrats on Capitol Hill are very aware that Attorney General Barr is an experienced veteran in his position. He is a very through and extremely competent lawyer and when he says that he is going to get to the bottom of the origins of the Russia Collusion Fairy Tale, you can take it to the bank.

Barr has really got ol’ Jerry’s knickers in a twist…not just his , but the entire Democrat Hierarchy, including Obama Hillary, Comey, and the other members of the Deep State Cabal who tried to take down candidate and then President Donald J. Trump.

Nadler and the House Dems voting to allow their staff to question the top Law Enforcement Officer in America, was an insult perpetrated in the name of pettiness and mean-spirited arrogance designed to insult AG Barr and President Trump.

That vote had nothing to do with “justice”. Injustice, yes. Justice, no.

However, there was another reason that Nadler and the Dems wanted their staff lawyers to ask the questions: they saw how bad Attorney General Barr made the Democrat Senators look in their committee meeting yesterday.

Believe you me, Nadler and the rest of the House Dems on his committee wanted no part of that.

However, their plan didn’t work.

By refusing to fall for it, AG Barr made them look stupid, anyway.
