Disney, “Wokeness”, and Those Who Ignore History

As the flushing down the porcelain receptacle of the Democrat Party swirls faster and faster, the latest attempt at silencing Conservative Thought is the Democrats’ accusation that Ginni Lamp Thomas, wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, attempted to stage a coup for expressing his opinion about the 2020 Presidential Election.

This has to be one of the most stupid things I have ever heard in my 63 years.

Speaking one’s opinion is a Constitutional Right guaranteed to us by our Founding Fathers

Besides that, it is a right guaranteed to us by our Creator.

It is amazing to me, that as Democrats move further and further to the Left while claiming to be Woke and Enlighted, they are actually becoming more fascist, Marxist, and intolerant.

When you think about it, that is what has happened in every Political movement which has deemed themselves to be enlightened.

Their singularity of thought has been deemed by the participants of the movement to be the cause of their Enlightenment.

And, because they believe this to be the ultimate in knowledge and understanding, there is no room for God’s Word, whether spoken from a pulpit or read in the Bible.

That is why churches which have decided to follow society, instead of the Word of God, in order to increase their numbers, are finding that is not working to the extent that they thought that it would.

Man is a fallen creature.

Yes, there is a divine spark in each of us but it is given to us by God, not by following a cult-like political movement.

Just like the folks in Disney are about to find out, when you listen to those who proclaim evil as good, you are doomed to failure.

Every political movement which has thought themselves to be smarter than everybody else and more worthy of existence, has failed.

So will the Woke Movement, embraced by the Far Left Democrats, which we are currently seeing in America.

There is still good and evil. There is still right and wrong.

As President Ronald Reagan reminded us, “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children’s children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.”

MEMO To: Geraldo From: A “Cranky Old White Guy”

INTRODUCTION: Yesterday morning, as I was in my man cave posting my blog on some of Facebook’s Political Pages, I had the television on Fox and Friends in the background, where I heard their guest, Geraldo Rivera, make these remarks, following the announcement of President-elect Donald J. Trump’s picks for Attorney General, National Security Advisor, and CIA Director.

I hope Trump’s cabinet is full of diversity and not just cranky old white guys.

That being said…

Mr. Rivera:

Considering that a couple of cranky old white guys named Rupert Murdoch and Roger Ailes hired you, I do believe that you just bit the hand which feeds you.

However, it is to be expected as Liberals, especially the Liberals in the Media, like yourself, continue your meltdown over the election of Donald J. Trump as the 45th President of United States of America.

You are just out of sorts, because the evening of November 8th made you realize that your Liberal Political Ideology is not embraced here in “Flyover Country”, America’s Heartland.

According to a Gallup Poll, published on January 16th of this year, Conservatives are still the leading Political Ideology in America at 37%, followed closely by “self-described” Moderates at 35%. Liberals remain the Minority Political Ideology in America, comprising only 24% of our population.

That is why I call the actions of insufferable idiots like the ones on full display “protesting” in the streets and on college campuses , “The Tyranny of the Minority”.

Geraldo…may I call you “Geraldo”?… for 8 looong years a bunch of paid and unpaid “useful idiots”, proclaiming thenselves to be “Political Pundits”, have been telling all of us normal Americans, living out here in the Heartland, how stupid and intolerant we are, for actually holding to Traditional American Values.

Personally, I have heard this garbage before.

Back in 2011, I got into a discussion on Andrew Breitbart’s Big Government website with some Cheetos-munching, Mom’s basement-dwelling Lib with no home training, who proceeded to tell me that he would be proud to defecate on the American Flag.

If I could have reached through my computer monitor and throttled that useless, ungrateful spoiled brat, I would have.

That “dude” was yet another example of the useful idiots of this present generation, such as Miley Cyrus, that seem to be garnering a lot of national attention for their outrageous, disrespectful…and, yes, intolerant, behavior.

Just as we have been bearing witness for the last 8 years, through the glorification of thugs and the vilifying of our local police departments by the Obama Administration and the local “communities” which they lay their lives on the line for, every day they put on their uniforms, the effects of LBJ’s “Great Society” on American Culture and the Black Family Unit, we are witnessing, through the egocentric behavior of this present generation, what happens when children are left to “their own devices”, instead of being raised “in the way in which they should go”.

Your Liberal Political Ideology does not set people free, it places them in chains of despair, while they wait on the “charity” of a banny-State Government.

Liberals,  such as yourself and, your imperious President, did not care about the “Will of the People”, but, rather, you were intent on implementing and enforcing your Far Left Political Ideology, resulting in a “Tyranny of the Minority”, which we are seeing play out, as those upset about Trump’s victory attempt to hold on to their “FREE STUFF” bestowed upon them by the “benevolent masters” of the Democrat Party.

The use of Karl Marx/Saul Alinsky-inspired “Class War Politics”, including “Racial Rhetoric”, and Barack Hussein Obama’s own petulant, belligerent personality of a 12-year-old, continues to inspire these “protestors”, leading to a divided nation, the likes of which has not been seen since “The War of Northern Aggression”.

When our Founding Fathers sat down to provide form and substance to the laws and procedures for governing this new country, which they had fought and won a bloody war over, by pledging their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor, they were very aware of the price of tyranny.

They determined that this new nation would be a Constitutional Republic, having had their fill of monarchies.

And, that Sacred Document, our United States Constitution, gives each of us the right, including Trump, to speak our minds and be heard.

It gives those protestors that right, too…but, not at the expense of others, by strong-arming their way into Political Rallies, or by blocking access to them, for the expressed purpose of denying someone their First Amendment Rights.

Or, by trying to overturn the results of a fair and legal Presidential Election, through the use of violence and intimidation.

That is called “INTOLERANCE”.

Why is it that those among us, Liberals such as yourself, who claim to be the most tolerant, are actually the least tolerant of all?

NYT Foreign Bureau Chief Covering DNC: “Trump Supporters ‘Less-Educated White People'”

The former leader in American Journalism decided that it would be a great idea to send Walsh to Philadelphia to cover to Democratic National Convention as a foreign correspondent in much the same way he would cover an overseas event.

His summary of yesterday’s debacle of the first day of the DNC, proves one thing: The only individual snottier and more condescending than an  American Liberal Reporter…is a Foreign Liberal Reporter.

Pay attention to how he describes supporters of Republican Presidential Candidate Donald J. Trump.

My first sight of this week’s Democratic convention had nothing to do with the party’s nominee for president, Hillary Clinton. 

At a bus stop in Philadelphia on Sunday night I passed people clutching placards for Mrs. Clinton’s vanquished rival, Senator Bernie Sanders — a sign of the bubbling passions that have animated every argument in this extraordinary election year.

By Monday morning, those passions had erupted into open divisions, even before the convention had officially started, when Mr. Sanders’s supporters jeered and booed Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee who organized this convention and who has promised to resign.

It was not the start that Mrs. Clinton wanted. In the wake of last week’s bitterly divided Republican convention in Cleveland, chuckling Democrats promised that their own meeting would be a paragon of party discipline and unity. “I can tell you we’re going to have a very different kind of convention,” Mrs. Clinton told supporters on Monday. 

But the publication of 20,000 Democratic National Committee emails by WikiLeaks this weekend provided a disastrous prelude to the convention. The emails revealed concerted efforts by senior party leaders, including Ms. Wasserman Schultz, to undermine Mr. Sanders’s campaign, reopening the wounds from the primary contest.

Come Monday afternoon, Mr. Sanders’s supporters amassed outside the convention hall, shouting, “Hell no, D.N.C., we won’t vote for Hillary!” Inside, they booed at every mention of Mrs. Clinton’s name. And Ms. Wasserman Schultz had announced that she would not, as tradition dictates, strike the gavel to open the convention later that day. 

It is a sign of the fevered change roiling American politics that the normally staid party conventions have become spectacles of confrontation and division where insurgent forces are on display, often to the dismay of traditional party leaders.

It started during last week’s Republican convention, a four-day spectacle of red-meat, hard-core conservative politics in Cleveland where delegates openly clashed over the candidacy of the billionaire Donald J. Trump. On the final night, Mr. Trump delivered a dystopian address that presented America as a fearful place, surrounded by darkness and besieged by enemies. The atmosphere in the hall was strange and electrifying, punctuated by chants of “U-S-A!”

This is my first time covering a campaign in America, and a far cry from those I remember as a child in Ireland, where my father was active in local politics for Fianna Fail, then the governing party. At home, political reporting involved a tour of what was sardonically known as the “chicken-and-chips circuit,” named for the dominant catering choice at campaign events across the country.

In Cleveland, news organizations and tech firms rented out restaurants near the convention arena, providing open bars and free food to journalists, political operatives and corporate types. The Washington Post, CNN and Twitter had their own hospitality setups at restaurants on East Fourth Street, a pedestrian walkway thronged by people and hawkers selling campaign paraphernalia: T-shirts that read “Hot Chicks for Trump,” and pins denigrating Mrs. Clinton.

The media circus also offered an irresistible opportunity for other Americans, of every persuasion, to push their own causes. In front of the NBC studio, which overlooked the street, people waving signs jostled for space, trying to edge into the shot during a live panel discussion. One evangelist held a sign that read “REPENT: Fear him who has the power to cast you into hell” while another yelled into a bullhorn. A mustachioed young man was promoting a T-shirt company. And a diminutive woman, standing on her tiptoes, held a sign warning of the dangers of something call gadolinium.

 “The world’s watching,” she said. “I can’t allow another person to die.”

It felt like more like street theater than politics. But the more salient issues of the American campaign were never far. The shooting of three police officers in Baton Rouge, La., on the eve of the Republican convention highlighted the heady mix of guns, race and policing that has played prominently in the presidential race.

In Philadelphia, America’s wider malaise is playing big. Sanders supporters are overwhelmingly young and, like their Trump counterparts, angry at the traditional establishment of their party. The weekend email dump by WikiLeaks seemed to confirm their suspicions that the party establishment was allied against them.

The difference is that the Democrats hope to unite their warring factions by reaching for more optimistic notes. In a speech on Saturday, Mrs. Clinton’s running mate, Senator Tim Kaine, garnered some rave reviews for his sunny and measured tone.

Apart from chicken and chips (that’s French fries to American readers), Ireland of the 1970s produced its own controversial political figure in the form of Charles J. Haughey, the leader of Fianna Fail. Mr. Haughey divided the Irish between those who saw him as a champion of the people, and those who viewed him as a self-enriching scoundrel. His lavish lifestyle — including a yacht, a mansion on an island and money stashed in offshore tax havens — was eventually exposed in the 1990s.

Mr. Haughey’s wealth was a drop compared to Mr. Trump’s, who boasts that his financial success qualifies him to run the United States, and is unashamed – and, thus far, politically undamaged – by some of his more questionable business dealings. His only fear, it seems, is being out of the news for long, which raises the question of how he will manage during this week’s Democratic convention.

The Cleveland convention, with its baying calls for Mrs. Clinton to be jailed and for the abnegation of civil rights movements, did Mr. Trump no harm. The latest poll published Sunday gives him a small ratings bump, and a modest one-point lead over Mrs. Clinton.

But pollsters and political veterans are skeptical he can maintain this advantage, and the efficacy of polls at this point in the campaign is questionable.

Mr. Trump’s support base — less-educated white people — is too narrow, the analysts say, and he faces too much opposition inside the Republican Party. In the heat of a hard-fought campaign, they argue, his improvised campaign will wilt under pressure from the well-oiled Democratic machine, which already enjoys majority support in key demographics: African-Americans, Hispanics, women and young people.

Last week Stuart Stevens, a Republican operative, likened Mr. Trump’s blustering confidence about his chances to that of a man who has jumped from a 100-story building. “He’s at floor 50, and he thinks he knows how to fly,” Mr. Stevens said.

Mr. Trump has defied the experts many times before — less than a year ago, one prominent expert gave him a 2 percent chance of capturing the Republican nomination. As he breaks and reinvents the political rules, Mr. Trump seems to have shown that it doesn’t matter what the experts say or what the story is — what matters is being in the middle of it.

This week, as the Democrats ready themselves for an unprecedented presidential race, Mrs. Clinton will try to show that she is the best story in town.

However, to label supporters of the Republican Candidate as “less-educated white people”, when there is no evidence that they are, in order to try to cover for the rapidly-imploding Democratic Party and their rapidly-tanking Presumptive Presidential Candidate in order to keep Donald J. Trump from becoming the next President…is pathetic.

That is not “journalism”. That is “opinion”.

And, here in America’s Heartland, we call that “INTOLERANCE”.

The Trump Protests: The Tyranny of the Minority = The Intolerance of the Left

Yesterday, they proved that both claims are a blatant lie.

CBS News reports that

Protesters demonstrating against Donald Trump blocked the streets outside Trump’s Arizona rally Saturday, making good on earlier promises to disrupt the GOP front-runner during his visit to the border state.

The activists, carrying signs that declared “Dump Trump” and “United Against Hate,” shut down a main Arizona highway leading to the city of Fountain Hills, where Trump held a campaign event Saturday afternoon.

Protesters in cars and on foot encountered Maricopa County police during the demonstrations. Local media reported that some activists chained themselves to their cars in order to delay the towing of vehicles.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio, the controversial tough-on-immigration head of the Maricopa police who has pledged to provide security for the Trump event, said Saturday that his officers were working on the protests.

“We’re taking proper action,” Arpaio told MSNBC in a phone interview as the demonstrations continued. “I think a few cars are blocking the road… and we are removing the cars. Anybody that violates the law is going to jail.”

“My main mission is to take care of the safety, security of Trump plus everybody else that lives in that town,” the sheriff added.

Arpaio, who has given Trump his endorsement, took the stage before the billionaire businessman at the rally. He announced that at least three people had been arrested from the protests.

When Trump spoke at his campaign event, he only touched briefly on immigration in his opening remarks, slamming politicians for being “all talk, no action” on the issue.

“They’re never going to do anything,” Trump told supporters. “This country has a big big problem with illegal immigration.”

Trump, who has made erecting a border wall a cornerstone of his presidential campaign, has drawn increasing fire over his contentious rhetoric on illegal immigration during the past month.

Earlier this week, one leading pro-immigration-rights group, Puente Arizona, denounced Trump as a “racist” and organized the border state protests via Facebook. Several thousand users indicated on the social media site that they would attend the demonstrations, scheduled just days before Arizona’s primary contests on Tuesday.

While that was going on in Arizona, both paid and unpaid protestors marched to Trump Tower in New York City, per the CBS Local Affiliate…

Several hundred demonstrators gathered in Manhattan on Saturday to protest Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump, marching from one skyscraper that bears his name to another.

The protesters, that included immigrants’ rights activists, students and socialists, gathered in Columbus Circle near the Trump International Hotel and Tower. They then marched across Central Park South to Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue where Trump lives before returning to Columbus Circle for a rally.

“I think Donald Trump is speaking a message of fascism and racism, and I don’t think that’s good for America,” said Laura Merrill, a tour guide who supports Democratic Vermont U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders for president. 

There was a heavy police presence for the largely peaceful protest, and officers used megaphones to warn demonstrators to stay on the sidewalk, out of the streets and not to impede foot traffic.

At least two protesters were arrested for walking in the street. A group of demonstrators that tried to break through a police barricade was pushed back by officers, who used pepper spray.

Protester Redentor Tarona, who marched as a member of a Filipino-American youth organization, said no one there wanted to promote violence.

Some protesters at the event told 1010 WINS’ Samantha Liebman that they couldn’t believe Trump has come this far in the election and that they believe his rhetoric is divisive and racist.

“We’re here because Donald Trump is the antithesis of what America stands for,” one Westchester man said.

“Donald Trump is a danger to America,” a man told WCBS 880’s John Metaxas. “If nobody stands up and be counted, our country’s democracy will be taken away from us.”

“We gotta make sure we get out and vote and make sure our voices are heard,” another protester from Manhattan said.

Demonstrators chanted “Donald Trump, go away, racist, sexist, anti-gay” and “Immigrants are welcome here. Don’t give in to racist fear.”

Others carried signs that read “Love Trumps Hate.” Another read “Will trade 1 Donald Trump for 25,000 refugees.”

“Gay Marriage”, Christian Americans, and Liberal Intolerance

A remarkable thing has been happening since last FRiday’s Supreme Court Ruling “legalizing” “Gay Marriage.

Christian Americans, from State Attorney Generals to City Court Clerks, have been refusing to issue Marriage Licenses to homosexual couples.

Their Explanation?

They refuse to violate their Christian Faith, and to go against God.

Were Liberals, including the ones on the Supreme Court, who changed the definition of “marriage”, evidently thought that Christians would sublimate God’s Law for Man’s Law.

Evidently, they overestimated themselves.

I first heard Voddie (pronounced “Voadie”) Baucham speak at a Youth-led Sunday Morning Service at the church I was attending. My step-son, who was in the 9th or 10th grade at the time, had been in a weekend-long youth seminar, which Voddie had led.

He came home from the seminar, all excited, telling me that I had to hear this Black Evangelist, that I would really like him.

He was right.

My step-son went on to not only play football and participate in the Weight Lifting Team at his high school (6’1′, 280), he also sang in the school choir and, most importantly, he was the President of the Fellowship of Christian Students and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He is now 27 years old, in seminary, and is helping to “plant” a church.

He has made me very proud.

But, I digress…

Likely you’ve heard the claim “gay is the new black.” It’s been repeated over and over in recent years to equate the plight of blacks in America during the Civil Rights era with the new plight of homosexuals today.

While there are overlapping similarities between the two movements, sexual orientation and ethnicity are fundamentally different. Ethnicity is innate and unchangeable in a way that “sexual orientation” is not. Even if someone can be “born gay,” the gospel saves sinners and has the power to change evil desires.

Both movements value constituencies, or preferred minority groups, in order to gain power. Therefore, many Americans see themselves as part of a group instead of one whole. Constituencies preserve the “us against them” mentality and further divide America. This mentality has crept into the church and works against gospel unity.

In this four-minute video, Voddie Baucham explains the similarities between the Civil Rights and so-called Gay Rights Movement, while highlighting the significant differences between ethnicity and sexual orientation. The following is a lightly edited transcript…

“What is the difference between the Civil Rights Movement and the so-called Gay Rights Movement of today? Not a whole lot. Unfortunately, I think there are some things that we accepted philosophically in the Civil Rights Movement that were not based in biblical truth. And those things are being applied in the Gay Rights Movement the exact same way and now we are calling them out.

For example, the idea of seeing people as constituencies and seeing rights as rights for constituencies of people is prominent in both movements. This continued division based on our constituencies and so-called communities is problematic. We’ve embraced a hyphenated understanding of ourselves as opposed to a view that sees us as one people.

The homosexual community is latching onto some of those very concepts. These concepts, by the way, are rooted and grounded in cultural Marxism. That was the goal of Gramscian Marxism. Divide people up into constituencies, and then the way you gain power is by making promises and representing particular constituencies. Now you never give them what you promise, but by creating this idea of constituencies and being the one who is the representative of the constituencies, you gain power and you keep your power to the degree that things don’t get better for your constituency. If things get better for your constituency, you lose your power.

So even when gains are made, you have to downplay those and go looking for other things that are problems. That is the way you keep your power.

The homosexual community has latched onto that approach and has identified itself as a constituency deserving of our attention and pity. They did so intentionally using the AIDS crisis. The direct result is they now have achieved a one-to-one correlation that we are finding it very hard to move away from.

So are there differences between ethnicity and so-called sexual orientation? Absolutely there are. Ethnicity is innate and unchangeable. So-called sexual orientation is not innate and is changeable. We know this. First Corinthians 6 is two-thousand-year-old evidence that people can stop being gay. So we know that it is neither innate, nor is it unchangeable. There are huge differences between the two. However, if all you are doing is using the language of the culture and the idea of people as constituencies, then you end up right where we are, and it is hard to stop that train.”

I believe the position that America finds itself in, with an all-out push to minimize the voice of Christian Americans in our nation, is a result of a lack of moral guidance from generations before. The Bible tells us to lead children in the ways in which they should go. As humans, we are fallen creatures, who often do not do the right thing. Being good parents is one of those things which God requires of us.

Now, I’m not saying that homosexuality is the result of failed parenting. As most of you are aware, homosexuality can have several causes. In college, when I took the class, “The Sociology of Deviant Behavior”, back in the late seventies, the professors at that time theorized that homosexuality was caused by any number of social and psychological causes. Whether it be a dominant mother, an effeminate father, or some sort of deep shock to the system when the individual is young, they theorized that homosexuality could come from a myriad of experiences in each individual’s life.

The only thing that I can say for certain is that it is not a biological predisposition.

Why do I say that?

The reason for my comment, is the fact that scientists have tried to identify a gene or some genetic marker that causes homosexuality. And, as of today , in 2015, they have been stymied in their attempts to find a biological cause for homosexuality.

In recent years. Liberals have pushed homosexuality as normal sexual behavior. They have featured it on television shows, in movies, books, and encouraged mass demonstrations of it, in public, if you will, as the late Professional Wrestler, Dusty Rhodes, used to say.

However, try as they may, using Democrat-heavy push polls and a Liberal-Majority Supreme Court, who decided to “legislate”, instead of being judicious,  the majority of Americans remain against Gay Marriage, as demonstrated in the last few years by popular vote, and the reaction out here in Realityville, to Friday’s Ruling, “legalizing” Gay Marriage.

In confrontations with homosexuals,, concerning their behavior, our opposition to their sexual lifestyle, as Christians, is based on Christian concern and compassion for their very souls.

However, what gets in the way of Christians’ efforts to reach out to homosexuals, is the fact that God gave us all free will.

And yes, if you are homosexual and reading this, it is your right as an American and as a human being to exercise the free will which the Lord gave you, when he made you. However, do not expect him to approve of your sin, or expect me as a Christian American, to give you free license to engage in your sexual sin.

Because, you see, God gave me free will as well, and being American born, I have the Constitutional Right to speak my mind…in the street, behind a pulpit, or in the voting booth.

I don’t hate you. As an acquaintance or if  you area family member, I love you. I will pray for you. I will work with you. I will invite you inside my home. I will be your friend.

However, I will, out of Christian Love, tell you straight to your face that what you are engaging in, is wrong.

The bottom line, from a Christian’s Point-of-View, is the fact that confronting the sinner is not an act of hatred, it’s an act of Christian Concern.

If you are an American Liberal, one of the 23 percent of our population who believe that political ideology, do not attempt to tell me that my ideas about traditional marriage and about what is acceptable and unacceptable behavior, are wrong.

Someone possessing a higher pay grade than you, is Whom I listen to.

And, He left me a guide to make sure that I get it right.

Memorial Day Weekend: America’s Chaplain Corp…”Fighting the Good Fight”

 

 

Chaplain CorpAs Memorial Day Weekend 2015 continues on this Sunday Morning, across the world, brave men and women, in service to our country, gather to worship the One Who made them.

They are led by a devoted team of men and women, known as “Chaplains”.

Now, these Men and Women of God are under attack, by the very Administration, who is supposed to be supporting them.

Fox News Insider reported in an article, posed on April 26th, that

Rep. Doug Collins (R-GA) recently went to bat for an Army chaplain who he claims was wrongly punished for using religion in counseling services.Chaplain Joseph Lawhorn was issued a Letter of Concern that accused him of advocating for Christianity during a suicide prevention training session at the University of North Georgia last November.

Collins, an Air Force reserve chaplain who served in Iraq and who represents Georgia’s 9th congressional district, joined Anna Kooiman on “Fox and Friends Weekend” to share insight on what he sees as a larger movement against religion in the U.S. military.

Collins asserted that the Army’s refusal to remove the Letter of Concern from Lawhorn’s file is indicative of the military’s efforts to intimidate chaplains into not expressing their faith and doing the job they’re supposed to be doing.

“I think right now what we’re dealing with is people who claim to be tolerant are actually the most intolerant, especially when they have beliefs they truly don’t believe in,” Collins said. “Chaplains are there for everyone, whether they have faith or no faith, and the chaplains need to be able to operate under their own faith background and also operate within the military. And right now they seem to be under attack for doing just that.”

“We’re in an environment where our military needs to always be at the top of readiness, and readiness means not only physical well-being but also mental and spiritual well-being. And so that’s why it is important that chaplains are able to continue their role in the guidelines that have already been set forth,” Collins said.

“What you have now is basically a minority group that says this shouldn’t be part of the military.”

The Tyranny of the Minority, Indeed.

As I have written numerous times, especially during the last two years of the Obama Administration, the Faith of Christian Americans has been relentlessly attacked, with Christians basically being considered an “Enemy of the State”

Eric Metaxas nailed the matter in the following article, posted at ChristianPost.com:

In the first century, Jesus was asked whether the Jewish people, who were under pagan, Roman occupation, should pay taxes to Caesar. The Lord, of course, said we are to render unto Caesar what is Caesar’s, and unto God what is God’s. But in 21st century America, Caesar is angling for a better deal—and he’s getting it.

Our old friend Chuck Colson sounded the alarm several years ago when certain political figures on the Left—including former secretary of state Hillary Clinton—began downsizing the First Amendment’s guarantee of our God-given right to freedom of religion into a more manageable “freedom of worship.”

Chuck feared—rightly, it turns out—that opponents of religious liberty were seeking to keep religion within the four walls of our churches, synagogues, and mosques—as if religious belief were no more than a purely private opinion with no practical implications for the real world. In other words, “Feel free to worship, if you like, but keep your religiously informed opinions and actions to yourself.”

It’s a totalitarian impulse, and you can see it in the intensifying efforts to force faith groups to pay for abortions, to shut down Christian businesses that don’t want to participate in so-called “gay weddings,” and so on.

And the totalitarians are getting bolder about it. In Victoria, Australia, doctors are required by law to perform abortions when asked, or refer the patient to a colleague who will. In Canada, meanwhile, the Ontario and Saskatchewan Colleges of Doctors and Surgeons want physicians forced to perform euthanasia—which is now a fundamental national “right”—if no one else is available to do it.

And the totalitarians—being totalitarians—will brook no compromise. According to Canadian bioethicist Udo Schuklenk, “The very idea that we ought to countenance conscientious objection in any profession is objectionable.”

Really? And alas, this totalitarian streak is not confined to the Great White North. Mrs. Clinton, who once said that abortion can be “a sad, even tragic choice,” now asserts that a so-called “right to reproductive health care” trumps religious freedom. “Laws have to be backed up with resources and political will,” she said at a recent meeting of the Women in the World Summit. “And deep-seated cultural codes, religious beliefs and structural biases have to be changed.” Religious beliefs have to be changed?

Now Caesar seeks to regulate not just our actions, but our thoughts as well!

New York Times columnist and gay-rights advocate Frank Bruni thinks we need to change our religious beliefs about marriage, too—since, he says, interpreting the Bible is filled with subjectivity and uncertainty. Therefore believers shouldn’t take it too literally on matters of sexuality. “So our debate about religious freedom,” Bruni says, “should include a conversation about freeing religions and religious people from prejudices that they needn’t cling to and can indeed jettison, much as they’ve jettisoned other aspects of their faith’s history, rightly bowing to the enlightenments of modernity.”

How nice that Mr. Bruni and other sexual totalitarians stand ready to “free us” from our prejudices. What’s next, re-education camps? If you think I’m exaggerating the totalitarian threat, in the same newspaper, David Brooks writes, “If orthodox Christians are suddenly written out of polite society as modern-day Bull Connors, this would only halt progress, polarize the debate and lead to a bloody war of all against all.”

My Earthly Father, whom I shall write more about, tomorrow, was the greatest, most wonderful man, I have ever known.

It was not just because he served in World War II, nor was it the fact that he brought home to me malted milk balls, warm cashews, or chocolate-covered raisins every Friday Night from the Sears Store where he worked.

He led me to Jesus Christ.

It was not just by his words, or the fact that he made sure that I was in Sunday School, every Sunday Morning. And, it wasn’t just the fact that some of my earliest memories of him revolve around listening to his beautiful Tenor Voice, echo through the kitchen, while he sang “The Old Rugged Cross”, as he made my breakfast.

He raised me, my sister, and my step-sister, in “the way in which we should go”.

By now. you’re probably asking, “So what’s the point of all this, KJ?”

On this Memorial Day Weekend, as we remember the sacrifices made by our Brightest and Best, we need to remember those who stand by their side, in the Field of Battle, armed with the Word of God, and a message of Love, Hope, and Fidelity.

America’s Chaplain Corps are out there making a daily difference in the lives of or brave Fighting Men and Women.

Their “Charge to Keep” transcends the cultural shackles imposed upon them by an Administration bowing at the altar of Political Correctness and Political Expediency.

We are given free will by our Creator…will to make choices and decisions on the direction of our lives. Being human, we often don’t make the right decisions and being human, those decisions have the potential to lead us down a dark path.

Whether is in the heat of combat on foreign shores, in the oppressive reality of our humdrum civilian lives, or strictly in the close quarters of our own consciousness, the path we choose to follow is up to us.

However, others, like the Chaplain Corps, our parents, family, and friends, can make a difference in our journey.

I thank God that through His Grace I was given a Father who made sure that I received loving instruction in The Way in which I should go.

We still live in the greatest country on the face of the earth and we still have a responsibility to one another.

The Light or the Darkness. The choice is up to each and every one of us.

America’s Chaplain Corps remain an integral part of the battle for America’s Soul.

The War Against Christianity: A Question of Intolerance

There has been a lot of discussion the past couple of weeks, concerning the Constitutional Rights of Christian Americans versus the hypocritical use of the words “tolerance” and “discrimination” by the American Left.

Napp Nazworth, writing for The Christian Post, makes the following observation…

Businesses should not discriminate, liberals proclaimed loudly in explaining their opposition to religious freedom laws. Three recent actions supported by liberals demonstrate that is not true.

1. Bakeries Should Be Able to Refuse Bible Verses

Christian activist Bill Jack was denied service when he went to Azucar Bakery in Denver and asked for two cakes in the shape of open Bibles. He asked for the words, “God hates sin — Psalm 45:7,” “Homosexuality is a detestable sin — Leviticus 18:22,” “God loves sinners,” and “While we were yet sinners Christ died for us — Romans 5:8,” on each of the “pages” of the Bible cakes.

Azucar Bakery is in the same state where the bakery Masterpiece Cake was successfully sued for declining to make a wedding cake for a same-sex wedding.

In a January interview with The Christian Post, Jack explained that he supports Azucar Bakery’s right to deny him service because they oppose the values he wanted written on the cakes. He only made the requests to find out if Colorado would be hypocritical. It was.

In Colorado, if a customer wants a cake with Christian values written on it, bakers are allowed to decline service if they disagree with those values. If a customer wants a cake for a same-sex wedding, bakers are not allowed to decline service if they disagree with same-sex marriage.

2. Pharmacists Should Refuse Death Penalty Drugs

The American Pharmacists Association approved a policy last month discouraging its members from participating in death penalty executions by providing the drugs required for lethal injections.

The move was encouraged by a letter sent to the group signed by 31 anti-death penalty and liberal organizations, including Amnesty International, the NAACP, National Council of Churches, SumOfUs and the United Methodist Church.

Liberal websites, such as The Huffington Post, Democracy Now and Think Progress, wrote positive reports about the move. There were no critics mentioned in their reports arguing that pharmacists should not have the right to decline their customers.

These reactions contrast sharply with liberal reactions to the notion that pro-life health care workers should not be forced to choose between participating in an abortion and losing their job.

3. Businesses Were Right to Boycott an Entire State Because of a Religious Freedom Law

In reaction to a religious freedom law passed in Indiana, Liberals were not only supporting, but praising Apple, Angie’s List and Salesforce for threatening boycotts in the state over the new law.

These liberals appreciated these companies making business decisions based upon their moral convictions. This exposed a glaring contradiction in their position: those companies opposed the law because it could (in some circumstances) let businesses make based upon owners’ religious convictions.

At its core, the issue was about wedding vendors, like Masterpiece Cake mentioned above, who declined service for same-sex weddings due to their religious convictions. Essentially, this means the companies were opposing a law that could (but not necessarily would) give small business owners the right to decline business for a particular event, by declining business with an entire state.

More than that, Angie’s List, Apple and Salesforce were much more extreme in their position than the wedding vendors. While wedding vendors opposed to working same-sex weddings would have no economic impact (because there are plenty of vendors willing to work same-sex weddings), boycotts by large companies would hurt local economies and workers — even those workers who agreed with their position. Yet, to hear liberals tell it, those companies were heroic while same-sex marriage opponents are bigots.

In a Thursday article for The Federalist, The Acton Institute’s Jordan Ballor put it well: “The problem in this instance, then, is not that companies like Angie’s List threaten economic sanction, …. The problem, rather, is that the freedom to discriminate is claimed by such companies for themselves but not extended and recognized for others. Boycotts against discrimination as such thus depend on the very thing they oppose. In this sense, the discriminatory actions of businesses ought to be judged alike, whether they are based on religious convictions or secular morality.”

So, what is it that American Liberals want Christian Americans to do, concerning the fact that our Holy Scriptures, God’s Word itself, condemns homosexuality?

According to Dr. Michael Brown, writing for The Christian Post, one  for the New York Times, believes that there is a simple solution to the “problem.”

Simply rewrite the Word of God.

How can the religious community live in peace and harmony with the LGBT community? New York Times columnist Frank Bruni has the solution. Just rewrite the Bible.

In his April 3rd column, “Bigotry, the Bible and the Lessons of Indiana,” Bruni, himself gay, recognizes that Christian beliefs are not necessarily grounded in hatred. The problem, he claims, is that, “Beliefs ossified over centuries aren’t easily shaken.”

Bruni, for his part, wants to shake us free from our fossilized faith.

According to Bruni, who evidences little or no understanding of how believers view the Scriptures (namely, as God’s inspired Word), if we hold to the view that homosexual practice is sinful, this is our “decision” and “choice.”

So, ironically, whereas homosexuality was once considered a choice, now what we believe about homosexuality is a choice.

After all, he argues, the belief that homosexual practice is sinful “prioritizes scattered passages of ancient texts over all that has been learned since — as if time had stood still, as if the advances of science and knowledge meant nothing.”

So, Bruni thinks he can simply dismiss the Scriptures as “ancient texts,” explaining “all writings reflect the biases and blind spots of their authors, cultures and eras.”

But for devout Jews and Christians, the Scriptures are not just any writings, full of biases and blind spots.

If that were the case, there would be no basis for our faith whatsoever and no absolute moral foundations of any kind.

Forget about homosexuality. We would have no reason to hold to any of the fundamentals of our faith if Bruni’s description was accurate.

Not only so, but Bruni wrongly claims that for those of us who hold to the authority of the Bible, “the advances of science and knowledge” mean “nothing.”

To the contrary, all the scientific advances in the world cannot determine what is or is not moral, and there’s nothing we know today that changes our view that God did not design men to be with men and women to be with women. The new interpretations of Scripture that the “progressive” Christians are touting (and which Bruni applauds) are not based on new textual or archeological or linguistic discoveries. They are based primarily on emotional arguments, since there is nothing in the Bible that supports homosexual practice.

Bruni also repeats the common misconception that there are just a handful of “scattered” texts that deal with homosexual practice.

To the contrary, every law dealing with marriage and family, every positive example and precept, every illustration in the Bible about sexuality morality is based on heterosexual relationships (see, for example, Genesis 2:24; Exodus 20:12; Matthew 19:4-6; Ephesians 5:22-33).

That’s why there was not a need to condemn homosexual practice on every page. Everything in Scripture was against it. (To be perfectly clear, the Bible plainly teaches that God loves every human being, that all of us are fallen and in need of redemption, and that Jesus died for heterosexual and homosexual alike. The issue here is the meaning of marriage and the standard of sexual morality.)

Bruni cannot countenance this for a moment. Instead, he claims that our biblically-based faith “elevates unthinking obeisance above intelligent observance,” which is why “our debate about religious freedom should include a conversation about freeing religions and religious people from prejudices that they needn’t cling to and can indeed jettison, much as they’ve jettisoned other aspects of their faith’s history, rightly bowing to the enlightenments of modernity.”

So, those of us who hold to biblical morality are “unthinking” and “prejudiced” people who need to be “freed” from our antiquated beliefs.

It’s high time, Bruni opines, for us to catch up with the 21st century. How utterly primitive of us to believe that there’s anything wrong with homosexual relationships or acts!

Bruni, however, sees positive trends, pointing to a number of books by Christian authors who advocate a reinterpretation of the Bible, claiming that we have outgrown other biblically based views over time, like the justification of slavery or the nature of gender roles.

…Bruni cites with approval a quote from Mitchell Gold, a furniture maker and gay philanthropist who says, “church leaders must be made ‘to take homosexuality off the sin list.'”

And Bruni means it when he says “made to” – as in pressured to or forced to or coerced to. As he writes at the end of his column, “His [namely, Gold’s] commandment is worthy — and warranted. All of us, no matter our religious traditions, should know better than to tell gay people that they’re an offense. And that’s precisely what the florists and bakers who want to turn them away are saying to them.” (Of course, Bruni misrepresents the positions of these Christian business owners as well, but why deal with truth when caricature is so much more effective?)

So, rather than follow the biblical commandments, which are explicit and unambiguous when it comes to both the heterosexual nature of marriage (“from the beginning,” as Jesus said) and the sinfulness of homosexual practice, we should follow the new “commandment” of Bruni and Gold and simply rewrite the Bible.

Well, here’s a note to Mr. Bruni and The New York Times: A billion years from now, when the names of Frank Bruni and Mitchell Gold and the Times itself are long forgotten, the words of God will still stand (Isaiah 40:7-8; Matthew 24:35), and those florists and bakers whom you ridicule in this world will be highly esteemed in the world to come.

The fact is that churches and denominations and religious groups may come and go, but the Word of God is here to stay.

We do not sit in judgment on the Scriptures; the Scriptures sit in judgment of us. And while they call us to love our neighbors as ourselves, they also forbid homosexual practice.

That is not about to change.

As I wrote earlier this week, the Far Left, have proven that they cannot stand Christian Americans. It is evident from their condescension toward us and derision of our traditional values and ethics in their propaganda. Our Constitution gives us Religious Freedom in its very First Amendment.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Please note that this amendment does not say “in some circumstances”.

I have said time and time again, that I find it funny that those among us who claim to be the most tolerant are actually the least tolerant of all.

However, this attack on our faith as Christian Americans, is not funny at all.

This Media Blitz, concerning the fact that Christian Americans refuse to support “Gay Marriage”, which was the impetus behind the President’s scolding Christian Americans about “not being loving enough” is not about discrimination, it is about control. Control of American Christians’ daily lives.

It is a rewriting and an attempted negating of God’s Word by those who cannot win a political or spiritual argument and are now trying to win a culture war by claiming that this law is something that it is not, and by rewriting Christianity by leaving out Individual Salvation through repentance of sin.

Joseph Goebbels, Adolf Hitler ‘ s Minister of Propaganda, once said that

If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.

The current lie that Obama and his sycophants are telling the American Public is that, somehow, the less than 24% of Americans who feel the same way as the Progressives in the Far Left do, somehow outnumber the 74% of Americans who proclaim Jesus Christ as our Personal Savior.

And, that overestimation just doesn’t add up.

Not even in Common Core.

Christian Florist About to Lose Everything For Standing Up to Gay Mafia

Do you remember how intolerant Liberals and the Homosexual Community were, when Duck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson spoke about his opposition to gay marriage?

Their horrendous behavior toward Phil Robertson was not an abnormality.

The Christian Post has the story.

Putting florist, grandmother and devout Southern Baptist Barronelle Stutzman out of business was not enough for some Washington state officials. She could lose her home and life savings as well after a Washington superior court judge ruled that she violated the state’s anti-discrimination law because she declined to provide flowers for a same-sex couple’s wedding due to her religious convictions.

After Benton County Superior Court Judge ruled on Wednesday that Stutzman violated the law when she refused to provide floral arrangements for the wedding of Robert Ingersoll and Curt Freed in 2013, the possibility became real that Stutzman can lose her business, home, savings and other personal assets once a summary judgement is reached, according to Stutzman’s lawyer Kristen Waggoner.

“The lesson from the court’s decisions is that you put your home, your family business, and your life at risk by daring to defy a government mandate that forces you to promote views you believe are wrong,” Waggoner, an attorney with the Alliance Defending Freedom, said in a statement. “A government that tells you what you can’t say is bad enough but a government that tells you what you must say is terrifying.”

Although Stutzman, who is the owner of Arlene’s Flowers in Richland, has received thousands of hate letters, insults and threats from LGBT activists who decry her as prejudiced for not providing flowers to Ingersoll and Freed’s wedding, Stutzman willfully served all of Ingersoll’s floral requests for the nine years that Ingersoll came to her shop to buy flowers for Freed.

“She had established a really warm relationship with Rob Ingersoll, who had been in for nine years and come in and spent a good amount of money throughout the years and they had gotten to know each other pretty well,” Waggoner said in avideo posted to ADF website.

“He has a very creative mind and we just kind of hit it off,” Stutzman admitted.

In the video, Stutzman discusses how she prepared many floral arrangements for Ingersoll over the years. She explained that she had no problem making flowers for Ingersoll and Freed to send to one another.

But a few months after gay marriage was passed in Washington in 2012, Ingersoll came to the shop and told Stutzman that he was getting married and he wanted her to provide the flowers for the wedding. Stutzman was caught in a tough spot as she did not want to hurt her friend’s feelings and did not want defy her religious convictions that tell her that marriage is only between a man and a woman.

“It was a real struggle to decide what to do with that. My husband and I talked it over and as much as I loved Rob, I just couldn’t be a part of that,” Stutzman asserted. “If I did Rob’s wedding, it would be from my heart because I think he is a really special person and I would want to make it really special for him. It wasn’t something that I said, ‘Oh, I’m not going to do Rob’s wedding because he is gay.'”

“I think most artistic people, especially painters, they put their heart into their arrangements as part of them and part of who they are. I think that is the same thing with a florist,” Stutzman added.

When Stutzman told Ingersoll that she would not be able to service his wedding, she did not expect to receive backlash. The news of Stutzman’s denial of service for a gay wedding hit social media and stirred outrage and even caught the attention of Washington Attorney General Bob Ferguson.

Ferguson’s office later filed a lawsuit on behalf of Washington state against Stutzman, after sending Stutzman a letter demanding that she service gay weddings. Even though no official complaint was filed against Stutzman, Ferguson’s office pursued the lawsuit and accused Stutzman and her business of violating the state’s non-discrimination laws.

“The attorney general’s action in this case is unprecedented in Washington state,” Waggoner explained. “We have never had an attorney general take the position that this attorney general has taken.”

After news of the state’s lawsuit against Stutzman broke, the American Civil Liberties Union filed a lawsuit on behalf of the gay couple, even though Waggoner says the couple admitted getting offers from over 20 different florists to provide flowers for their wedding for free.

In January, Judge Eckstrom ruled that Stutzman could also be sued on a personal level in addition to being sued on a business capacity. Stutzman is not only at risk of paying the $2,000 fine for violating the state’s discrimination law, but is also at risk of having to pay thousands of dollars in legal fees, which could result in her losing her home and business, Waggoner claims.

“She is at great risk as a result of serving someone lovingly and in a kind way for nine years,” Waggoner said. “Because you won’t do one same sex wedding, you are going to lose your house or your business and she’s been working in this business for 40 years.”

Waggoner said penalizing someone for acting on their own religious beliefs violates the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. Waggoner said ADF plans to appeal the judge’s ruling.

“This is about marriage. It’s not about bigotry. She knew of their [homosexual] relationship. She provided flowers that she sent to each other. But when it came to marriage, that was the line. Because, as she will tell you, ‘Marriage represents the relationship of Christ and His church.’ It’s a sacred covenant,” Waggoner contends. “This case is coercing someone to engage in expression and that is against America’s tradition and it’s unconstitutional.”

Even though Stutzman is being portrayed by critics and some media outlets as an intolerable anti-homosexual, Stutzman has employed many homosexuals in her shop in the past.

“I have hired all walks of people in different circumstances, and had the privilege of working with some very talented people that happen to be gay,” Stutzman wrote in a Facebook post. “Since that day, we have received many comments on same-sex marriages. I believe, biblically, that marriage is between a man and a woman. That is my conviction, yours may be different.”

Despite the countless hate letters she received, Stutzman said that she also receives letters of support from Christians all around the world encouraging her to stand strong in her Christian convictions.

“I have to have faith that He is going to protect me and give me the courage, the knowledge and the wisdom to stand firm on this,” Stutzman asserted. “This has also helped me understand what obedience is and… what following Christ is. You can’t sit on the fence and like He says, ‘You can’t be lukewarm.’ That’s what I was. I was lukewarm.”

Anyone who has read my blog for any length of time knows exactly what my feelings are on the subject of gay marriage.

I agree with the Reverend Mitchell, former pastor of the old landmark church in Chicago Illinois who said, and I quote,

The Good Lord made Adam and Eve he did not make Adam and Steve. Can I get a witness?

And may I add, if he did make Adam and Steve, none of us would be here because, try as they might, homosexuals cannot procreate.

The Homosexual Lobby and their supporters, affectionately known as the “Gay Mafia”, are stepping it up a notch, suing Americans and getting them fired over their Christian faith.

Even the real Mafia does not attack people’s faith. In fact, the legendary Mafioso, Al Capone, gave tons of money to Chicago’s Catholic Charities. And, when the Mafia has to terminate the employment of one of their soldiers, emphasis on the word terminate, they make sure that their family is taken care of.

Not so with the Gay Mafia. If you do not support their agenda, they will sue you, see that you are fired, make you lise everythong that you have in this world, and will not care one bit, if you and your family are put out on the street.

…As Ms. Stutzman found out.

How…tolerant.

Just as the decadent leaders of ancient Rome fed the early Christians to the Lions, so is the unconscionable Gay Mafia tossing aside Christians in their quest for their deviant sexual behavior to be classified as normal.

In fact, I’ll go you one better: these idiots’ fanatical insensitivity to the welfare of believers who have the moral courage to oppose their hedonistic lifestyle, is reminiscent of those Radical Muslims we know as the Taliban.

Which is the height of irony if you think about it, because Radical Muslims not only behead Christians, they remove the heads of homosexual Muslims as well.

You see me say time and time again, that it is funny how those among us who claim to be the most tolerant, are actually the least of all.

The Gay Mafia or, more appropriately, The Gay Taliban, are prime examples.

As with any liberal, as long as you believe what they believe, you’re one of the smartest people in the room. However,as soon as you cross them, and stand up for your own Christian Heritage of Faith, you are labeled a stupid “Christianist” and/or an inbred hillbilly.

Additionally, when the voters of a state get together to express their opposition to homosexual marriage through their right to vote, the Gay Mafia finds a sympathetic judge to rule that marriage is a “Civil Right”, instead of a Holy Sacrament…a bond between a man and a woman, ordained by God.

The problem that Christians and Conservatives alike face is the fact that being Pro-homosexual marriage is the “cool” thing to be now.

Even if it is at the expense of the First Amendment.

So, what’s the answer?

Simple. Average Americans, like you and me, either stand up on their hind legs, ignore the push polls, open the window and shout “I’m mad as Hell and I’m not going to take this anymore” or we just sit back like lambs led to the slaughter and watch as our Freedom of Speech and Freedom of Religion fade away like the ancient Roman Empire.

And, I aint lion…err…lyin’.

The War Against Christianity: No “Bless You(s)” Allowed

American Christianity 2If you spend any time on Political Websites and Facebook Pages, you will notice that Liberals, who often claim to be “the smartest people in the room”, accuse us Conservatives of not being “independent thinkers”, who blindly follow “our leaders”. When pressed to define who “our leaders” are, they usually weakly fire back “Rush Limbaugh”, who is in fact not a Political Leader, simply the nation’s most popular Conservative Talk Show Host.

Some Liberal Professors from the University of Winnipeg recently performed a study, which disproved their previously-held views of this Liberal Mythology.

The study, “Political Conservatives’ Affinity for Obedience to Authority Is Loyal, Not Blind,” is published in the September issue of Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin , and posted at Christianpost.com.

Neither liberals nor conservatives are more or less likely to demonstrate blind obedience to authority, a new study finds. One of the authors of the study wrote that he used to believe that conservatives suffered from blind obedience while liberals were open minded.

Jeremy Frimer, professor of psychology at the University of Winnipeg, believed that the source of conservative political views was “slavish obedience to authority and tradition,” he wrote in a Thursday op-ed for The Huffington Post.

“If only conservatives would think for themselves — like liberals do — the war would be over and we could get on with life, governance, and progress. Or so I thought,” he recalled.

Those views began to change, however, on a trip to Cuba in 2012. In a conversation with a Brazilian couple touring the many shrines to famed Marxist revolutionary Che Guevara on the island, Frimer discovered that even questioning why there should be so many shrines was considered offensive.

Frimer also recalled a conversation with a liberal schoolteacher who believed it was important for his students to become “dedicated liberals,” and a conservation with a liberal aid worker who would have preferred living under a liberal dictatorship to living under a democratically elected conservative government.

Previous studies showing conservatives are more likely to show blind allegiance to authority figures only used examples of figures that most would consider conservative, such as a police officer or religious authority, Frimer noted. But what if, he thought, these experiments included authority figures that liberals look up to?

So in his experiment, Frimer, along with fellow University of Winnipeg researchers Dr. Danielle Gaucher and Nicola Schaefer, asked respondents about their obedience to liberal authority figures as well, such as environmentalists. They found that liberals showed more obedience to liberal authority figures, conservatives showed more obedience to conservative authority figures, and when the authority figure was neutral, liberals and conservatives were about the same.

“Rather than thinking of liberals and conservatives as being fundamentally different psychological breeds, I now think of them as competing teams. Liberal versus conservative is like Yankee fans versus Red Socks fans. Each has its own flag to which it pledges allegiance. And each side has its own authorities to which it demands obedience,” he wrote.

Uh huh.

I disagree with those Canadian Professors’ conclusion that neither side is blindly politically-driven.  I believe that there is more politically-driven stifling of Americans’ Constitutional Rights coming from this Administration and their Far Left sycophants that any other time in our nation’s history.

What is happening in American Society today is a divisiveness , unlike any other The Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave has ever seen before.

It is a deliberate divisiveness, across political, social, and faith-based lines. I have referred to it in the past as “The New Facism”. An example of it happened earlier this week, right up the road from me in Dyer County, Tennessee. Todd Starnes of Fox News reported that

Kendra Turner was brought up right. She’s the kind of kid who says “yes sir” and “no ma’am.”  She was “raised up right,” with good manners as they are prone to say around Dyersburg, Tennessee.

So it was not out of character for Kendra to say “bless you” after a fellow classmate sneezed. But that common courtesy landed the 18-year-old in hot water.

Kendra said she was rebuked by her teacher at Dyer County High School and thrown out of class for violating the teacher’s ban on the words “bless you.”

The school would have us believe that a child telling a classmate “bless you” after a sneeze somehow caused a classroom commotion so severe it warranted a punishment? It’s a good thing Kendra didn’t offer her classmate a tissue.  
“She said that we’re not going to have godly speaking in her class and that’s when I said we have a constitutional right,” Turner told Memphis television station WMC.

Another student sent the television station a photo taken inside the teacher’s classroom showing a list of banned words. Among the censored words are “dump,” “stupid,” “my bad,” “hang out” and “bless you.”

She wrote about her incredible story on Facebook. It was then picked up by the MomDot.com blog and then, as they say these days, the story went viral.

“I stood up and said, ‘My pastor said I have a constitutional right – 1st amendment freedom of speech,’” Kendra wrote on Facebook. “She said, ‘Not in my class you don’t.”

Kendra says she was tossed out of the class and sent to the principal’s office where things apparently went from bad to worse.

“The assistant principal said if I didn’t want to respect my teacher’s rules then maybe my pastor should teach me because my freedom (of) speech and religion does not work at their school,” she wrote.

As you might imagine the school has a very different take on what happened inside that classroom.

“We can’t discuss discipline issues because of right to privacy of students,” assistant principal Lynn Garner told the Dyersburg Gazette. “But I can say there are two sides to every story. Sometimes people spin things and turn them to make them seem one way.”

The assistant principal said Kendra was sent to In School Suspension as a matter of protocol. She was allowed to leave at the end of the class period.

“In this case, this was not a religious issue at all, but more of an issue the teacher felt was a distraction in her class,” Garner told the newspaper.

To be clear – the school would have us believe that a child telling a classmate “bless you” after a sneeze somehow caused a classroom commotion so severe it warranted a punishment? It’s a good thing Kendra didn’t offer her classmate a tissue.  

Kendra’s pastor is among those not buying the school’s explanation and he’s taking a public stand in defense of the young girl.

“I believe this young lady,” said Steven Winegardner, the pastor of the Dyersburg First Assembly of God. “Everything she said took place.”

Winegardner told me he’s hoping students will lead a petition drive to force the school to overturn the classroom ban on the words “bless you.”

“Christians have been told to be quiet, to shut up,” he said. “It’s ridiculous. Everybody has a right to their beliefs. I’m glad Kendra stood up.”

Winegardener’s wife told WMC that the teacher had issues with other students using the words “bless you.”

“There were several students that were talking about this particular faculty member there that was very demeaning to them in regard to their faith,” she told the television station.

Every now and then a story will land on my desk that seems too outrageous to be true. And to be certain there are two very different versions of what happened in that classroom.  But I’m prone to believe Kendra, too.

That’s because Tuesday, a school official tried to convince me this young lady was a trouble maker. They were clever with their words – but that was the impression I received.

That same school official told me there was no ban on the words “bless you.” But a classroom photograph proves otherwise.

They said she was not punished. But Kendra’s pastor saw the slip of paper that ordered her to In School Suspension.

For whatever reason, the school will not explain why the teacher has an issue with the words “bless you.”  This one is a head-scratcher, folks. But one thing is clear – religious intolerance is nothing to sneeze at.

Do you remember when New York Governor Andrew Cuomo said that Conservative Republicans,

Right-to-life, pro-assault weapons, anti-gay — if that’s who they are, they have no place in the state of New York because that’s not who New Yorkers are.

and New York City’s Communist Mayor, Bill DeBlasio, publicly agreed with his remarks?

Imagine if the Governor of the state of Mississippi proclaimed that all Democrats, Liberals, and libertarians, gay or strait “had no place in the state of Mississippi because that’s not who Mississippians are”.

Oh, Lawdy.

Democrat Pundits, and Liberal and small “l” libertarian Politicians, on both sides of the aisle, would have a bigger conniption than that of Michelle Obama, if she were told that she had to pay for her own vacations.

Funny. If “political correctness” does not emanate from the mouths of “the enlighted”, it sounds just like hateful bigotry…doesn’t it?

Attorney General Eric Holder and the Glass House of Liberal Racism

RacismThe Attorney General of the United States, speaking on ABC yesterday, keeping in line with the political strategy of his boss, the “First Non-Racial President”, used the excuse of  “racial animus”, i.e., RACISM, in a weak attempt to protect him and the President from well-deserved criticism and opposition.

Attorney General Eric Holder said Sunday he and President Obama have been targets of “a racial animus” from some of the administration’s political opponents.

“There’s a certain level of vehemence, it seems to me, that’s directed at me [and] directed at the president,” Holder told ABC. “You know, people talking about taking their country back. … There’s a certain racial component to this for some people. I don’t think this is the thing that is a main driver, but for some there’s a racial animus.”

Holder said the nation is in “a fundamentally better place than we were 50 years ago.”

“We’ve made lots of progress,” he said. “I sit here as the first African-American attorney general, serving the first African-American president of the United States. And that has to show that we have made a great deal of progress.

“But there’s still more we have to travel along this road so we get to the place that is consistent with our founding ideals,” he said.

He also stood by his controversial comments made during Obama’s first year in office, in which he said the U.S. was a “nation of cowards” when it comes to race.

“I wouldn’t walk away from that speech,” Holder said. “I think we are still a nation that is too afraid to confront racial issues,” rarely engaging “one another across the color line [to] talk about racial issues.”

The attorney general also pointed to Republican efforts to enact stricter voter ID laws in southern States as evidence that more needed to be done to protect minority rights. Republicans have maintained the efforts are designed to prevent voter fraud, while Democrats say instances of fraud are exceedingly rare, and far outpaced by the minority population that does not have identification that would be unable to vote.

Holder called the laws “political efforts” designed to make it “more difficult” for “groups that are not supportive of those in power” to “have access to the ballot.”

“Who is disproportionately impacted by them? Young people, African Americans, Hispanics, older people, people who, for whatever reason, aren’t necessarily supportive of the Republican Party,” Holder said, adding that “this notion that there is widespread in-person voter fraud is simply belied by the facts.”

Holder said the Justice Department was planning legal challenges of new voting laws in Ohio and Wisconsin. It has previously filed suit in Texas and North Carolina.

“I’m attorney general of the United States. … I will not allow people to take away that which people gave their lives to give, and that is the ability for the American people to vote,” Holder said.

About this “racial Animus” thing, Mr. Attorney General…nice Glass House you have there.

By the way, you do remember the New Black Panther Party case, don’t you?

During Obama’s first Presidential Election in 2008, it seems like there was a wee bit of “racial animus” going on, but not in the direction you were speaking of on television yesterday.

According to foxnews.com, there was

…an incident at a Philadelphia polling place on Election Day 2008 when three members of the party were accused of trying to threaten voters and block poll and campaign workers by the threat of force — one even brandishing what prosecutors call a deadly weapon.

The three black panthers, Minister King Samir Shabazz, Malik Zulu Shabazz and Jerry Jackson were charged in a civil complaint in the final days of the Bush administration with violating the voter rights act by using coercion, threats and intimidation. Shabazz allegedly held a nightstick or baton that prosecutors said he pointed at people and menacingly tapped it. Prosecutors also say he “supports racially motivated violence against non-blacks and Jews.”

AG Holder, in an article posted on washingtonpost.com, on 1/27/11, Jennifer Rubin summed up what you did and did not do, regarding this example of “racial animus”:

The U.S. Commission on Civil Rights came out in December with a draft of its interim report on the New Black Panthers Party scandal. Earlier today a final report was posted on the commission’s website, and with it, a flurry of rebuttals and separate statements from a number of the commissioners. The import of these statements should not be minimized.

The statements indicate several points: 1) the New Black Panther Party case brought by career Justice Department employees was meritorious on the law and the facts; 2) there is voluminous evidence of the Obama administration’s political interference in the prosecution of the New Black Panther Party case; 3) there is ample evidence that the Obama administration directed Justice Department employees not to bring cases against minority defendants who violated voting rights laws or to enforce a provision requiring that states and localities clean up their voting rolls to prevent fraud; 4) the Justice Department stonewalled efforts to investigate the case; and 5) vice chairman Abigail Thernstrom has, for reasons not entirely clear, ignored the evidence and tried to undermine the commission’s work.

Unfortunately, Attorney General Holder, you’re not the only member of the Administration residing in that Glass House of Liberal Racism.

Back in February of 2007, Vermont Senator Joe Biden described his future boss, contender for the Democrat Presidential Nomination, Barack Hussein Obama, in the following manner…

I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy,” Biden said. “I mean, that’s a storybook, man.

Speaking of our first “Non-Racial President”, remember Obama’s infamous “bitter clinger” statement about rural Americans at an elite fundraiser in San Francisco in 2008?

You go into some of these small towns in Pennsylvania, and like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them. And they fell through the Clinton Administration, and the Bush Administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not. And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.

I have lived in the Memphis Area all of my 55 years. I remember this fellow named Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., whose words set the town on fire…literally.

On August 28, 1963,  Dr. King gave his famous “I Have a Dream” speech, in which he said,

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

On July 18th, 2012, during the heart of  Obama’s Re-election Campaign, Breitbart.com’s John Nolte wrote the following

…By screaming racism (which is what “birther” really means) and claiming perfectly valid criticism of Obama is “dangerous,” this is how the media protects Obama from effective criticism and spins that criticism around into an attack against Republicans.

In 2008, using this partisan tactic, the media was able to intimidate and cow John McCain into submission. In fact, when Sarah Palin started hitting Obama for his relationship with domestic terrorist Bill Ayers, out of whole cloth the media made up the charge that someone at a Palin rally screamed, “Kill him!,” in reference to Obama.

You see, this is how the corrupt media attempts to snuff out criticism Obama can’t weather. If they can’t call the criticism racist they call it dangerous. And if they have to, the media will simply create a narrative based on what they know is a lie.

The corrupt media refuses to vet Obama, because they know that if they did, he would lose. This means that they must also stop Republicans from discussing Obama’s past by any means necessary. And this includes bullying Obama’s critics by declaring their criticism “racist” and “dangerous.”

Today’s Liberals use Racism as both a sword and a shield.

If you attack Obama’s performance as President, or any other Liberal Black Leader’s performance, you’re a RAAACIIIST! 

However, when the subject of removing affirmative action requirements comes up, as it recently did in Michigan, a hue and cry comes up from Liberals, using their cries of “Racism” as a shield against any attempts to remove Uncle Sugar from our day-to-day lives.

While, all the time, as the quotes above show, our “tolerant” Liberal Friends are the most intolerant of all of us.

That is probably why Dr. King was a Republican.
