Giuliani – Mueller was “Insurance Policy” Referred to in Strzok’s Text to Get Trump Out of Office

468166Yesterday morning, “America’s Mayor” and personal attorney for President Donald J. Trump, Rudy Giuliani, was a guest on “Fox and Friends” on the Fox News Channel.

During his visit he made some very interesting remarks concerning the ongoing “Russia Probe” and Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

…Giuliani openly cast doubt on Mueller’s official explanation for why the phones belonging to two of his former top deputies were completely wiped just days after they were fired for their anti-Trump bias. Giuliani also reiterated his previous assertions that Trump would not sit down for a one-on-one interview with Mueller, citing what he called the “unethical or grossly negligent behavior” of special counsel prosecutors.

In a comprehensive report issued earlier this month, the Department of Justice’s internal watchdog blamed a technical glitch for a swath of missing text messages between anti-Trump ex-FBI officials Peter Strzok and Lisa Page — and revealed that government phones issued by Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s office to Strzok and Page had been wiped completely clean after Strzok was fired from the Russia probe.

Strzok — who in August 2016 texted Page about an “insurance policy” in the event Trump won the election and who secretly discussed a “media leak strategy” concerning the Russia probe — was removed from Mueller’s team in late July 2017 after the FBI discovered he had been sending anti-Trump text messages. He sent many of those messages to Page, with whom he was engaged in an extramarital affair.

“All those texts from Strzok and Page — deleted?” Giulani asked. “After they find out that Strzok is texting that he hates Trump, that he’s going to get him and stop him — and that if he can’t stop him, he has an ‘insurance policy’ to get him out of office. I believe Mueller is the insurance policy to get him out of office. I’m not just saying that — Strzok was his first investigator.”

The DOJ’s Inspector General (IG) said that, with help from the Department of Defense, it was able to uncover thousands of missing text messages written by Strzok and Page and sent using their FBI-issued Samsung phones from December 15, 2016, through May 17, 2017, “as well as hundreds of other text messages outside the gap time period that had not been produced by the FBI due to technical problems with its text message collection tool.”

But when the IG went looking for the iPhones separately issued to Strzok and Page by the Mueller team, investigators were told that “[Strzok’s] iPhone had been reset to factory settings and was reconfigured for the new user to whom the device was issued.”

The records officer at the special counsel told the IG that “as part of the office’s records retention procedure, the officer reviewed Strzok’s DOJ issued iPhone” on September 6, 2017, and “determined it contained no substantive text messages” before it was wiped completely — just weeks after Strzok was fired from Mueller’s team for anti-Trump bias and sending anti-Trump text messages.

“The person who determined what to eliminate was Mueller’s records officer, who says there was nothing of interest there,” Giulani said. “It’s hard to believe Strzok and Page suddenly decided, ‘We’re not going to text anymore about Donald Trump.’ They seemed to be obsessively and compulsively texting about him. I don’t know what kind of lovers they were if they were texting about that all the time. It’s ridiculous.”

Still, while he questioned why Strzok and Page’s Mueller-issued phones were wiped, Giuliani did not dispute the FBI’s contention that a technical glitch had affected Strzok and Page’s separate FBI-issued Samsung phones.

“Texts only last… for a little while… not like emails,” Giuliani said. “I do this work, cybersecurity work. Texts are hard to get. That’s legitimate.”

Giuliani added that it was likely that Strzok, in fact, had been using his Mueller-issued phone to discuss topics like the FBI’s tactics in the investigation of former Trump National Security Adviser Michael Flynn. Explosive court documents released earlier this month revealed that, in January 2017, then-FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe pushed Flynn not to have an attorney present during the questioning that ultimately led to his guilty plea on a single charge of lying to federal authorities.

“Just maybe, it would be very embarrassing if he was saying the same things while working for the holier-than-thou special counsel — ‘we’re framing Flynn, we’re not gonna tell him he has the right to counsel,'” Giuliani said.

Asked whether he expects Mueller’s final investigative report to be issued in February, Giulani suggested he isn’t holding his breath.

In addition to his work on the Mueller probe, Strzok was the lead agent on the Clinton email case known inside the bureau by the code name “Mid Year Exam” or MYE.

And, of course, Mueller was the “mule” for Hillary Clinton’s deal, made while she was Secretary of State, in which she sold one-fifth of America’s Uranium Supply to the Russians, an under-reported scandal known as “Uranium One”.

But, I digress.

Rudy, as per usual, makes a lot of sense. Mueller could very well have been the “insurance policy” mentioned by Strzok.

There are too many “spider webs” in this while “Deep State Conspiracy” which all see to lead in one direction: directly back to Obama, Hillary, and the DOJ and FBI Hierarchy.

The investigation by Special Counsel Robert Mueller and his 17 Angry Democrats has mushroomed into probing every aspect of the past of President Trump, his family, and his friends.

This never was about some sort of conspiracy to alter the results of the 2016 Presidential Election. This remains about completely destroying President Trump, his loved ones, and anyone who has ever known him or worked for him.

Just as they did over the nightmarish 8 long years of the Obama Administration and as they attempted to do to the Trump Travel Ban, the Democrats are on a mission to use the courts to overturn the will of the American People.

If the Democrats and the Never-Trumpers in the Washington Swamp, who are pulling the strings of Special Counsel Robert Mueller, believe that we average Americans living between the coasts cannot recognize a Political Railroading of a sitting President when it is playing out right before our very eyes, they are horribly mistaken.

And, they learned absolutely nothing on the night of November 8, 2016.

Franklin Graham “Accidently” Banned From Facebook for 24 Hours…for a Post From 2016?!

Franklin-Graham_0

Political correctness does not legislate tolerance; it only organizes hatred. – Jacques Barzun

The Charlotte Observer reports that

Facebook is apologizing to evangelist Franklin Graham for banning him from posting on the site for 24 hours last week, a Facebook spokesperson told The Charlotte Observer on Saturday.

It was a mistake to ban Graham over a 2016 post he made on the site, and a mistake to have taken down the post, the spokesperson said.

Facebook has restored the 2016 post and will apologize in a note to the administrator of Graham’s Facebook page, according to the Facebook spokesperson, who agreed to speak only on background, meaning without the spokesperson’s name.

A member of Facebook’s content review team — the team has 15,000 members — had mistakenly decided the post violated Facebook’s policy that bans “dehumanizing language” and excluding people based on sexual orientation, race and other factors, according to the spokesperson and Facebook’s written policy.

“Why?” Graham asked in a Facebook post on Friday after he said he was banned from posting anything on the site for 24 hours last week. “Because of a post from back in 2016 about North Carolina’s House Bill 2 (the bathroom bill). Facebook said the post went against their ‘community standards on hate speech.’ Facebook is trying to define truth.”

In his post, Graham said the social media giant is “making the rules and changing the rules. Truth is truth. God made the rules and His Word is truth. Actually, Facebook is censoring free speech. The free exchange of ideas is part of our country’s DNA.”

Graham’s Friday post included his 2016 post that he said Facebook “took down” last week. “Do you see any hate speech here?” Graham asked.

Graham’s 2016 post focused on singer-songwriter Bruce Springsteen canceling a North Carolina concert because of House Bill 2.

“He says the NC law #HB2 to prevent men from being able to use women’s restrooms and locker rooms is going ‘backwards instead of forwards,’” Graham said in his 2016 post, referring to Springsteen. “Well, to be honest, we need to go back! Back to God. Back to respecting and honoring His commands.”

In March 2016, the General Assembly passed HB2, also known as the “bathroom bill.” HB2 reversed a Charlotte ordinance that extended some rights to people who are gay or transgender, The Charlotte Observer reported at the time. Then-Gov. Pat McCrory signed the measure into law the same night.

As anyone who has been on Social Media Platforms such as Twitter and Facebook has noticed, writers who espouse Conservative Political Viewpoints have been given “time-outs” or have even been “shadowbanned” in increasing since Donald J. Trump was elected President.

Now, whether these “Time-outs”, like Rev. Graham experienced, or the outright bannings, such as Alex Jones’ and others are some form of retaliation for the election of Donald J. Trump as President by the Liberal Owners and Management of these Social Media Platforms, we can only guess.

However, since the election of President Donald J. Trump, the effort to silence Conservatives has gotten so extreme that Liberals have harassed Republican Politicians in restaurants and even elevators, in an effort to intimidate them into remaining silent of issues which the Liberals want their way in.

Why are Modern American Liberals so afraid of Conservative Thought and Free Speech?

Is it possible that this head-on rush by the Far Left Democratic Party to immerse themselves and our Sovereign Nation in the Marxist Theory-inspired Political Philosophy of Democratic Socialism has caused them to emulate those who were responsible for the original Russian Revolution, some 100 years ago?

Just like their predecessors a century ago in a land far away, these “New Bolsheviks” are using any means necessary to shut down any and all opposition to their effort to “radically change” America into something that it was never meant to be.

And, the classification of a Christian’s right to quote the Bible as “Hate Speech” certainly is an example of what I am taking about.

As Americans, it is our Constitutional Duty to oppose the “dying of the light” of individual liberty, including our Freedom of Speech.

Ray Bradbury, legendary Science Fiction Writer, penned a book in 1953 about the dangers of censorship, titled Fahrenheit 451, in which you can read this pertinent thought…

We need not to be let alone. We need to be really bothered once in a while. How long is it since you were really bothered? About something important, about something real?

The very real Political War being waged against our basic rights as Americans must not go unopposed.

It is time for average Americans to take our places along the wall of this fortress of individual liberty and freedom known as the United States of America.

As we did on the night of November 6, 2018, it is time once again for “The Elite” as President Trump has called us, to make our voices known.

NY Times Posts Op Ed “The Inevitability of Impeachment”…Over What?

mrz052017dAPR_s878x638

He’s blowing up their very restrictive class distinctions. He’s blowing up the way they talk about things inside the Beltway. He’s blowing up diplomacy. He’s blowing up foreign relations. And it’s being done in a way these people can’t figure out. For the life of them, they can’t understand straight talk. To them, straight talk is thuggery, it’s insulting, and it’s mysterious. And so Trump is like an invader, an alien, and he’s gotta go. – Rush Limbaugh, “The Rush Limbaugh Radio Program”, 7/19/18

Elizabeth Drew is a “political journalist” who for many years covered Washington for The New Yorker and is the author of “Washington Journal: Reporting Watergate and Richard Nixon’s Downfall.”

Yesterday, The New York Times posted an article written by her titled “The Inevitability of Impeachment”. As we say down in Dixie, “Ya’ll ain’t gonna believe this ****”

An impeachment process against President Trump now seems inescapable. Unless the president resigns, the pressure by the public on the Democratic leaders to begin an impeachment process next year will only increase. Too many people think in terms of stasis: How things are is how they will remain. They don’t take into account that opinion moves with events.

Whether or not there’s already enough evidence to impeach Mr. Trump — I think there is — we will learn what the special counsel, Robert Mueller, has found, even if his investigation is cut short.

A significant number of Republican candidates didn’t want to run with Mr. Trump in the midterms, and the results of those elections didn’t exactly strengthen his standing within his party. His political status, weak for some time, is now hurtling downhill.

…The word “impeachment” has been thrown around with abandon. The frivolous impeachment of President Bill Clinton helped to define it as a form of political revenge. But it is far more important and serious than that: It has a critical role in the functioning of our democracy.

Impeachment was the founders’ method of holding a president accountable between elections. Determined to avoid setting up a king in all but name, they put the decision about whether a president should be allowed to continue to serve in the hands of the representatives of the people who elected him.

The founders understood that overturning the results of a presidential election must be approached with care and that they needed to prevent the use of that power as a partisan exercise or by a faction. So they wrote into the Constitution provisions to make it extremely difficult for Congress to remove a president from office, including that after an impeachment vote in the House, the Senate would hold a trial, with a two-thirds vote needed for conviction.

Lost in all the discussion about possible lawbreaking by Mr. Trump is the fact that impeachment wasn’t intended only for crimes. For example, in 1974 the House Judiciary Committee charged Richard Nixon with, among other things, abusing power by using the I.R.S. against his political enemies. The committee also held the president accountable for misdeeds by his aides and for failing to honor the oath of office’s pledge that a president must “take care that the laws be faithfully executed.”

The current presidential crisis seems to have only two possible outcomes. If Mr. Trump sees criminal charges coming at him and members of his family, he may feel trapped. This would leave him the choice of resigning or trying to fight congressional removal. But the latter is highly risky.

It always seemed to me that Mr. Trump’s turbulent presidency was unsustainable and that key Republicans would eventually decide that he had become too great a burden to the party or too great a danger to the country. That time may have arrived. In the end the Republicans will opt for their own political survival. Almost from the outset some Senate Republicans have speculated on how long his presidency would last. Some surely noticed that his base didn’t prevail in the midterms.

But it may well not come to a vote in the Senate. Facing an assortment of unpalatable possibilities, including being indicted after he leaves office, Mr. Trump will be looking for a way out. It’s to be recalled that Mr. Nixon resigned without having been impeached or convicted. The House was clearly going to approve articles of impeachment against him, and he’d been warned by senior Republicans that his support in the Senate had collapsed. Mr. Trump could well exhibit a similar instinct for self-preservation. But like Mr. Nixon, Mr. Trump will want future legal protection.

Mr. Nixon was pardoned by President Gerald Ford, and despite suspicions, no evidence has ever surfaced that the fix was in. While Mr. Trump’s case is more complex than Mr. Nixon’s, the evident dangers of keeping an out-of-control president in office might well impel politicians in both parties, not without controversy, to want to make a deal to get him out of there.

I wonder is Ms. Drew has ever thought about writing Harlequin Romance Novels?

She certainly has a flair for fiction.

So, the Democrats and the Vichy Republicans are going to miraculously come together and impeach President Donald J. Trump.

Really? Over what, exactly?

The fact that he misspoke in Helsinki? Big hairy deal.

“But…but…RUSSIAN COLLUSION!!!”

Prove it. Mueller hasn’t.

The fact that he tweets too much?

He is bypassing the Main Stream Media, just like Ronald Reagan did.

The fact that he has shut down to government in order to get the funds to place a wall on our Southern Border?

The majority of Americans want him to.

Or, is it because he is not allowing thousands of illegal aliens (future Democratic Voters) to invade our country in “caravans”?

They should have come here legally.

The fact that he is stopping Obamacare?

It was failing before he won the 2016 Presidential Election.

Perhaps you would like to impeach President Trump over the fact that he supports our Armed Forces and he wants them to be better equipped than our enemies?

And, in turn, they love him, as demonstrated during his and Melania’s trip to visit them in Iraq at Christmas?

During the Obama Administration, our Brightest and Best were used as guinea pigs in social experimentation for your political causes.

Perhaps you Democrats are upset because his Foreign Policy of America First is working so well that he is bringing home our troops from Syria and Afghanistan.

I thought you guys were anti-war?

Perhaps you’re upset that we have such a gracious, classy First Lady who speaks 6 languages and who represents her husband and our nation so well at home and abroad?

In the cellphone sales business, that’s called an “UPGRADE”.

I know what it is that you want to impeach him over, Ms. Drew.

He beat Hillary Clinton on November 8, 2016 for the Presidency of the United States of America despite the best efforts of the Obama Administration’s Department of Justice and FBI Hierarchy and all of George Soros’ money that was spent on “Astroturf Protests”.

Sorry. Not sorry.

The fact that you guys in the Far Left Democratic Party are a bunch of undereducated, immature, poor losers whose entire Political Platform is composed of nothing but hate for President Donald J. Trump is NOT grounds for impeachment.

Keep on living in your bubble on the East and Left Coasts while pulling away ideologically from average Americans and the Democratic Party will be destined to go the way of the Whigs. (Look it up, if your fellow “writers” haven’t taken them out of the history books, also.)

And, when this push for Impeachment fails, please don’t try a “Russian” Revolution.

Average Americans still proudly cling to our Bibles and guns.

And, you guys don’t even know which restroom to use.

California Police Officer Killed by Illegal Immigrant While Senate Dems Refuse to Build a Wall

untitled (263)

FoxNews.com reports that

The suspect sought in connection with the murder of a California cop earlier this week is in the U.S. illegally, authorities revealed on Thursday.

The unidentified man alleged to be behind the slaying of Newman police Cpl. Ronil Singh, 33, “is considered armed and dangerous,” Stanislaus County Sheriff Adam Christianson said during a news conference on Thursday afternoon, vowing that the manhunt would “relentlessly continue.”

“This suspect … is in our country illegally. He doesn’t belong here. He is a criminal. We will find him, we will arrest him, we will bring him to justice,” Christianson said.

Singh was shot and killed during a traffic stop just before 1 a.m. Wednesday in Newman, about 100 miles southeast of San Francisco, according to police.

The suspect was stopped by Singh for a DUI investigation before engaging in a gunfight with the officer, during which Singh tried to defend himself, Christianson said.

Singh had called in the traffic stop and reported “shots fired” over his radio a few minutes later, sheriff’s officials previously said. The suspect fled when backup officers arrived to assist Singh, who was then rushed to a hospital. He later died from his gunshot wounds, the department said.

Surveillance photos released of the suspect showed him inside the Newman Food Store shortly before the fatal attack. Police also located the truck the suspect is believed to have driven.

Authorities urged the suspect, still thought to be in the vicinity, to turn himself in.

Singh was a native of Fiji and left behind a wife and 5-month-old son. The officer, who joined the force in the summer of 2011, was remembered fondly by the Newman police chief, who said Singh “truly loved what he did.”

“He came to this country with one purpose, and that was to serve this country,” Chief Randy Richardson said, declaring that “a coward took his life.”

“…about 100 miles southeast of San Francisco”

Remember the tragic murder of Kate Steinle in the “Sanctuary City ” of San Francisco?

An individual who entered our Sovereign Nation illegally and murdered one of our citizens was found “innocent” in a city which ignores the laws of our land and harbors these fugitives, giving them the ability to prey upon American Citizens.

Have you noticed that Liberals always leave out the word “illegal” to describe these lawbreakers who are here in our Sovereign Nation without our permission?

It is as if they believe that not saying the word “illegal” will somehow absolve them of the crime of breaking and entering into our country.

Democrats also ignore that while these “guests” (as Arizona’s Famous Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s successor called them) are in our country illegally, they are committing other crimes as well…including MURDER.

On April 24, 2010, I wrote a Blog titled simply, “For Mr. Krentz”, detailing the murder of Arizona Rancher Robert Krentz by an illegal alien…

Police say Robert Krentz, whose family has been ranching in southern Arizona since 1907, was gunned down early Saturday morning, March 27th, 2010, by an illegal immigrant while out on his ATV tending to fences and water lines on the family’s 34,000-acre cattle ranch.

Reached by phone early Tuesday at his family’s ranch, Andy Krentz, Krentz’s oldest son, said his father was a churchgoing man who routinely went out of his way to help those in need.

“My father was a very good family man,” Krentz told FoxNews.com. “He supported his kids, supported his family. He went out of his way to help anybody we could without regarding to who they were.  It didn’t matter who they were.”

Sue Krentz, Krentz’s wife, said she was “pretty overwhelmed” by her husband’s death, which coincided with her parents’ deteriorating health.

“This is icing on the cake,” Krentz said.

Unfortunately, Mr. Krentz’s murder was just a portent of things to come.

The kicker is, the clownish excuses for city officials running “Sanctuary Cities” are not only harboring fugitives, they want to allow them to vote!

Voting is an American Constitutional Right of self-determination.

Non-citizens have no such right.

I gave the following answer to a comment made by “Benito”, who submitted a rather lengthy comment to a blog I wrote about Illegal Immigration on May 19, 2010.

Benito, I approved your comment to ask you a few questions. First, you write very well. Next, a few questions. What part of the word “illegal” do you not understand? What makes the current influx of illegal immigrants exempt from the rules and regulations that every other generation of immigrants to this country had to abide by in order to become legal citizens of the greatest nation in the world? By being here illegally, you are not entitled to the same rights as natural-born or naturalized American citizens. You are no better than someone who breaks into someone’s home, does their dishes, cuts their yard, cleans their house, and then helps themselves to their food and drives their car without asking. This is in no way a human rights issue. Freedom is God-given. And with freedom comes responsibility. With citizenship comes responsibility, like paying taxes and making your own way. Illegal immigration reminds me of the amorous boyfriend who wants everything a young woman will give him, but will leave her at the first mention of marriage. I wish you no ill, amigo, but understand this: This is not a civil rights issue. Illegals do not have the same rights as American Citizens. With our rights, come the responsibilities of being an American citizen. The Mexican flag, by protocol, will always be flown in a subordinate position to the American Flag in this country. And, the American Dialect of the English language is the language spoken in this country.

Vaya con Dios.

I understand that people want a better life for themselves and their children. But there is a huge difference between immigrating here legally and sneaking in illegally, between assimilating into an existing culture, and insisting on replacing a country’s existing culture with that of the country you left.

Officer Singh was an example of a legal immigrant who was making a difference in his new country.

I’m all for assisting anyone in becoming a legal citizen of the United States, if that is their wish. But, it must be done the right way, and they must accept responsibility for their illegal entry, show a willingness to learn our language, and embrace our American way of life, including respecting the American Flag.

Criminals are criminals, whether they are here legally or illegally.

They deserve no sanctuary.

Mollie Tibbetts, Kate Steinle, Mr. Krentz, and Office Singh, just to name a few of the American Citizens who have been killed by illegal immigrants, did not deserve to be murdered by barbarians who had already broken our laws once by trespassing into our Sovereign Nation.

OUR FOUNDERS ESTABLISHED AMERICA AS ONE NATION UNDER GOD, INDIVISIBLE.

NOT THE TOWER OF BABEL OR SOME THIRD WORLD LAWLESS HELLHOLE WHERE LAWLESSNESS RULES.

If just one American life can be saved by building a wall along our southern border, shouldn’t it be done?

Why does Congress care more about the treatment of those trying to break into our country than the safety of American Citizens?

Build the wall. Secure our borders. Enforce the existing anti-illegal immigration laws.

Officer Singh and all of the other American Citizens who have been killed by illegal immigrants deserve no less.

Holiday Retail Sales Up 5.1%…Biggest Post-Christmas Stock Market Rally Ever…What’s Going on Here?

untitled (258)

For America to prosper, we must remain free. For America to remain free, we must be prosperous.

American Capitalism is the engine which drives a strong, vibrant economy. American Capitalism is the result of the courageous Entrepreneurial Spirit of American Citizens. The same “Can Do” attitude which led to Western Expansion and triumphs against those before-mentioned enemies, foreign and domestic.

President Ronald Reagan often referred to America as “The Shining City on the Hill” meaning that her people and the Sovereign Nation itself were an example to the rest of the world as to what a free people were capable of creating for themselves with God’s Providence.

Reagan knew that American Exceptionalism was an inspiration to the rest of the free world, not a bone of contention as America’s previous occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue claimed it to be.

All that being said, yesterday delivered good news on the Economic Front.

Per ISCS.org

Retailers are having their best holiday season in six years, with Nov. 1 through Christmas Eve sales up 5.1 percent over the same period last year, according to a consumer data tracking report.

Consumers spent more than $850 billion during the period, in stores and online, according to the report, put out by Mastercard Spending Pulse. Apparel retail sales rose 7.9 percent compared to last year, the category’s strongest performance since 2010. Spending on home improvement increased 9 percent.

“From shopping aisles to online carts, consumer confidence translated into holiday cheer for retail,” said Steve Sadove, senior advisor for Mastercard and former CEO and chairman of Saks Inc. “By combining the right inventory with the right mix of online versus in-store, many retailers were able to give consumers what they wanted via the right shopping channels.”

In a related story from CNBC.com

Stocks posted their best day in nearly a decade on Wednesday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average notching its largest one-day point gain in history. Rallies in retail and energy shares led the gains, as Wall Street recovered the steep losses suffered in the previous session.

The 30-stock Dow closed 1,086.25 points higher, or 4.98 percent, at 22,878.45. Wednesday’s gain also marked the biggest upside move on a percentage basis since March 23, 2009, when it rose 5.8 percentage points.

The S&P 500 also catapulted 4.96 percent — its best day since March 2009 — to 2,467.70 as the consumer discretionary, energy and tech sectors all climbed more than 6 percent. The Nasdaq Composite also had its best day since March 23, 2009, surging 5.84 percent to 6,554.36.

Wednesday also marked the biggest post-Christmas rally for U.S. stocks ever.

Retailers were among the best performers on Wednesday, with the SPDR S&P Retail ETF (XRT) jumping 4.7 percent. Shares of Wayfair, Kohl’s and Dollar General all rose more than 7 percent. Data released by Mastercard SpendingPulse showed retailers were having their best holiday season in six years. Amazon’s stock also jumped 9.45 percent, snapping a four-day losing streak, after the company said it sold a record number of items this holiday season.

Energy stocks also jumped as U.S. crude oil prices catapulted more than 8 percent. Shares of Marathon Oil and Hess were the best performers within the energy sector, jumping 11.9 percent and 11 percent, respectively.

Now, I’m no economist, but, I am smart enough to understand how, in a capitalist economic system such as ours, the health of our economy depends a great deal on both consumers and investors.

Reading different sources for today’s post, I found a lot of writers hedging their bets on whether yesterday’s remarkable gains in the Stock Market were a portent of things to come or not.

The thing is, retail experiences revenue gains when their customers, i.e., consumers, have the disposable income with which to but the products which retailers offer.

More Americans are working, while unemployment remains at a record low. Meanwhile, workers are allowed to keep more of their paycheck thanks to Trump’s tax cuts.

Now, I may be way off base, but, I would think America’s economy continues to improve, consumers will buy more, and investors will feel more comfortable about growing businesses which in turn will hire more Americans, etcetera, etcetera (as Yul Brenner used to say in “The King and I”).

Now, I recognize that the other thing that encourages both consumers and investors is strong leadership from an American President who not only promotes economic growth but also has the business acumen that will enable his economic programs to succeed.

I believe that we have that in our current president.

Now, if those who wish our nation to fail will just get out of the way and let him work for us.

Sanders to be Challenged by Other Far Left Dems for 2020 Nomination…Dems Remain Out-of-Touch

Clown-Car (4)

FoxNews.com reports that

Bernie Sanders had the progressive wing of the Democratic Party virtually all to himself in the 2016 presidential campaign.

Odds are that won’t be the case in 2020, should the independent senator from Vermont launch a second bid for the White House.

“It’s a whole new ball game. Anyone who thinks differently is delusional,” said one veteran New Hampshire-based progressive activist. “It starts all over again. There’s very little residual loyalty that I’m finding.”

Sanders, who crushed Hillary Clinton in the 2016 New Hampshire primary but lost the nomination to her, commanded support from the left flank of the party. This time around, however, the Democratic field is expected to be filled with like-minded candidates. And if Sanders runs, he would face stiff competition for the support of that same liberal base — whether from Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, from California Sen. Kamala Harris, from New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker or a host of other liberal potential candidates.

This kind of divided field on the left, in turn, creates a scenario that could open the door for a more moderate or centrist Democrat to claim the party’s presidential nomination.

But regardless of the implications, an epic battle for the heart and soul of the party’s growing liberal wing is underway – and these potential candidates are well aware they’re all targeting the same audience. Sanders and Warren, perhaps the biggest progressive titans of the lot, met one-on-one earlier this month at Warren’s Washington condo to discuss their likely dueling presidential campaigns, two Democratic sources confirmed to Fox News.

The two senators didn’t try to dissuade each other from running, nor did they reach any agreement on how to coordinate going forward, according to The New York Times, which first reported the meeting.

In another sign of tensions, activists loyal to Sanders reportedly have launched an effort to undercut Texas Rep. Beto O’Rourke, who despite losing his Senate race to Ted Cruz has captured the imagination of some Democratic operatives.

Sen. Jeff Merkley of Oregon, the only member of the chamber to endorse Sanders in 2016, also is seriously mulling a presidential bid. He’s quietly made lots of contacts and friends among the activist class during five jam-packed trips this year to New Hampshire, the state that for a century has held the first primary along the road to the White House.

“I have stayed in this conversation because I have been received so well in living rooms and porches here in New Hampshire and Iowa and Nevada and South Carolina. So that weighs on my mind,” said Merkley, who’s indicated he’ll decide on a run early in the new year.

Another leading progressive in the Senate, Sherrod Brown of Ohio, also is eyeing the White House.

So is Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, another supporter of Sanders’ 2016 run, who acknowledged during a recent trip to New Hampshire that she’s “seriously thinking” of launching a presidential bid. The Hawaii Democrat also put out feelers for potential staffers during the visit.

And two high-profile senators who backed Clinton in the 2016 primaries, Cory Booker and Kamala Harris, appear to be fine-tuning their message to win over progressive voters. A third of self-described liberals questioned in the latest Fox News Poll said Booker and Harris would make excellent or good presidents, if elected.

“Progressive voters will have a tough choice to make,” Iowa-based attorney and longtime Democratic consultant Jeff Link predicted. “I think they’re willing to kick the tires and see who else is going to run and what they’re going to say.”

Link, a veteran of the Bill Clinton and Barack Obama presidential campaigns, said he just conducted a survey of likely Democratic caucus voters in Iowa that indicated that “Sanders maintains about a third of his vote from 2016, but two-thirds is up for grabs.”

Democratic Party Votes are “up for grabs”, indeed.

And, it’s for the identical reason that they lost the 2016 Presidential Election.

The Democrats remain out-of-touch with the majority of Americans.

But…but…how can this be?

I mean, if you watch Cable News (except for Fox News) Trump should be the most hated man in America.

Between the accusations of “Russian Collusion” and “unfair treatment of asylum seekers” on our Southern Border, he should be as unpopular as Rosie O’Donnell at an All-You-Can-Eat Buffet.

But then again, according to those same news outlets, Hillary Clinton should be president, as there was no way the American Voters were going to elect Donald J. Trump the 45th President of the United States of America.

The past two years have clearly shown that the Modern Democratic Party remains consumed by their grief over losing the 2016 Presidential Election and their hatred for the man who is now sitting in the Oval Office, Donald J. Trump.

The Democrats put all their eggs in one basket: their fervent desire that somehow, someway, Robert Mueller could find some sort of impeachable offense against President Trump.

So far, Mueller and his team of Trump-hating Democratic Donors poorly masquerading as impartial investigators, are failing miserably.

They have handed down indictments for “offenses” which were not even a part of Trump’s Presidential Campaign or the first year of his presidency.

With Mueller’s Investigation blowing up around them, now the Democrats are trying to sabotage Trump by denying his the money to fulfill the Campaign Promise he made to erect a wall on our Southern Border, oblivious to the fact that these same Democrats were all for it before Trump suggested it.

However, the biggest problem that the Democrats face is the fact that the President keeps on succeeding in fulfilling his Campaign Promises even though the Democrats and their Propaganda Arm, the Main Stream Media, have thrown every thing that they could think of at him, including Fake News Stories that they desperately made up.

The economy is booming, Trump keeps winning, and the Dems keep losing.

Despite the Fed’s efforts to slow America’s comeback down, new homes are being built and unemployment remains low.

And, average Americans are loving it.

They have learned nothing at all from their year and one half out of power.

For the Democratic Party to begin winning elections again, they are going to have to abandon the Far Left Political Ideology, inspired by Karl Marx and Saul Alinsky, which they have bitterly clung to as their “religion” for the past several decades.

The absurdity and downright anti-Americanism of their “Tenets of Faith” have been anathema to Americans living in America’s Heartland, the ones responsible for an American Businessman and Entrepreneur being elected our 45th President.

Those who sit in judgment of us average Americans like the Pharisees in the ancient Holy Land are going to have to climb down from their bar stools at the Washington Capitol Hill Country Club, and come home to visit us “common” people, attend ballgames, picnics, charitable public events, and even…GASP!…attend church with us, if they wish to represent average Americans in our Sovereign Nation’s Halls of Power again.

However, realistically, I do not see any of my suggestions coming to pass.

Democrats are too ensconced is their own belief system which states that…

  1. Americans are “jingoistic”.
  2. America is responsible for all of the world’s ills.
  3. The evils of American Capitalism are responsible for the world’s climate, not the God of Abraham.
  4. Perversion is perfectly normal.
  5. They ARE “The Smartest People in the Room”.

There are many more “Tenets of Faith” that the Democrats believe. However, for the sake of brevity, I will move on.

Years ago, the Democratic Party and reality took divergent paths.

Unless they can find their way back to reality, their political party is destined to go the way of the Whigs.

Considering their fondness for relative morality, situational ethics, and purposeful obtuseness, perhaps they should keep traveling the path that they are presently on…attempting to find something…ANYTHING to impeach President Trump on.

Their party’s slow, painful demise will be great for the Popcorn Industry….

and America.

And, the new Pelosi-led House of Representatives is going to do nothing to halt the Dem’s downward descent into oblivion.

Pass the salt and butter, please.

Christmas 2018: “One Solitary Life” Made All the Difference

P1120609

‘Tis the season for Christmas movies.

From the Hallmark romance movies to Bill Murray’s “Scrooged” to “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation”, there are movies to be found on television for everyone’s taste. However, there is none quite like Frank Capra’s “It’s a Wonderful Life”, the Holiday Classic starring Jimmy Stewart.

In the movie, Stewart plays the role of George Bailey, an average man whom, through a series of circumstances, finds himself living a life which he had never really envisioned himself leading. When dire circumstances arise, he contemplates killing himself, only to be stopped by an angel named Clarence, who shows him what his hometown would be like if he had never been born.

After viewing the difference which he had made in his sphere of influence, Stewart prays to the Lord to return him back to his family and his life.

The movie ends happily, with all the people whom he had helped over the years coming to his aid in his moment of crisis.

The last time I watched this movie, I had not seen it in quite a while and I found myself with tears in my eyes at the end of it.

It was then that I realized that God puts us where He wants us to be.

It is up to us to navigate around the pitfalls of life caused by our own Free Will by using the Gift of Discernment which we have been blessed with and by listening to that Still Small Voice which resides within each and every one of us.

Each and every one of us can make a difference within our own sphere of influence.

However, there remains only One who walked this Earth in human form who is still making a difference and whose birth we celebrate today.

Many stories have been written about Him.

On this Christmas Day, please allow me to present to you two of the best and the gentlemen who wrote them.

Dr. James Allan Francis was born in Nova Scotia, Canada. He became a pastor at age twenty-one and served in ministry for the remainder of his life. His first pastorate was in New York City at the Riverside Baptist Church, and after serving in other varied pastorates in the East, he came to Los Angeles in 1914.

Though he had a busy life as a pastor, Francis was able to publish a handful of books: Drops from a Living Fountain (1895), Christ’s Mould of Prayer (1924), and Christ is All And Other Sermons (1928). His publications are full of passionate encouragement for Christians to know their Lord, to rely on him, and to follow his example.

Francis’ most famous words, now known as “One Solitary Life,” originated as part of a sermon that he delivered on July 11, 1926 to the Baptist Young People’s Union at a Los Angeles Convention. A friend transcribed the message titled “Arise, Sir Knight,” and Dr. Francis published it that same year in a collection called The Real Jesus and Other Sermons.

Here is a man who was born in an obscure village as the child of a peasant woman.

He grew up in another obscure village.

He worked in a carpenter shop until he was thirty and then for three years was an itinerant preacher.

He never wrote a book.

He never held an office.

He never owned a home.

He never had a family.

He never went to college.

He never put his foot inside a big city.

He never traveled two hundred miles from the place where he was born.

He never did one of the things that usually accompany greatness.

He had no credentials but himself.

He had nothing to do with this world except the naked power of his divine manhood.

While still a young man the tide of popular opinion turned against him.

His friends ran away.

One of them denied him.

Another betrayed him.

He was turned over to his enemies.

He went through the mockery of a trial.

He was nailed upon the cross between two thieves.

His executioners gambled for the only piece of property he had on earth while he was dying, and that was his coat.

When he was dead, he was taken down and laid in a borrowed grave through the pity of a friend.

Nineteen wide centuries have come and gone and today he is the center of the human race and the leader of the column of progress.

I am far within the mark when I say that all the armies that ever marched, and all the navies that were ever built, and all the parliaments that ever sat and all the kings that ever reigned, put together, have not affected the life of man upon the earth as powerfully as has this one solitary life.

In 1912, C.P.J. Mooney worked as  the editor for the Commercial Appeal in Memphis, TN.  He wrote an editorial that has become a yearly tradition, not only in Memphis, but around the world.  Here it is, as my Christmas Gift to you, my much appreciated readers.

Jesus, The Perfect Man

There is no other character in history like that of Jesus.

As a preacher, as a doer of things, and as a philosopher, no man ever had the sweep and the vision of Jesus.

A human analysis of the human actions of Jesus brings to view a rule of life that is amazing in its perfect detail.

The system of ethics Jesus taught during His earthly sojourn 2,000 years ago was true then, has been true in every century since and will be true forever.

Plato was a great thinker and learned in his age, but his teachings did not stand the test of time. In big things and in little things time and human experience have shown that he erred.

Marcus Aurelius touched the reflective mind of the world, but he was as cold and austere as brown marble. …

Thomas a Kempis’ ”Imitation of Christ” is a thing of rare beauty and sympathy, but it is, as its name indicates, only an imitation.

Sir Thomas More’s ”Utopia” is yet a dream that cannot be realized.

Lord Bacon writing on chemistry and medicine under the glasses of the man working in a 20th century laboratory is puerile.

The world’s most learned doctors until 150 years ago gave dragon’s blood and ground tails of lizards and shells of eggs for certain ailments. The great surgeons a hundred years ago bled a man if he were wounded.

Napoleon had the world at his feet for four years, and when he died the world was going on its way as if he had never lived.

JESUS TAUGHT little as to property because He knew there were things of more importance than property. He measured property and life, the body and soul, at their exact relative value. He taught much more as to character, because character is of more importance than dollars.

Other men taught us to develop systems of government. Jesus taught so as to perfect the minds of men. Jesus looked to the soul, while other men dwelled on material things.

After the experience of 2,000 years no man can find a flaw in the governmental system outlined by Jesus.

Czar and kaiser, president and Socialist, give to its complete merit their admiration.

No man today, no matter whether he follows the doctrine of Mill, Marx or George as to property, can find a false principle in Jesus’ theory of property.

In the duty of a man to his fellow no sociologist has ever approximated the perfection of the doctrine laid down by Jesus in His Sermon on the Mount.

Not all the investigations of chemists, not all the discoveries of explorers, not all the experiences of rulers, not all the historical facts that go to make up the sum of human knowledge on this day in 1912 are in contradiction to one word uttered or one principle laid down by Jesus.

The human experiences of 2,000 years show that Jesus never made a mistake. Jesus never uttered a doctrine that was true at that time and then became obsolete.

Jesus spoke the truth, and the truth is eternal.

History has no record of any other man leading a perfect life or doing everything in logical order. Jesus is the only person whose every action and whose every utterance strike a true note in the heart and mind of every man born of woman. He never said a foolish thing, never did a foolish act and never dissembled.

No poet, no dreamer, no philosopher loved humanity with all the love that Jesus bore toward all men.

WHO, THEN, was Jesus?

He could not have been merely a man, for there never was a man who had two consecutive thoughts absolute in truthful perfection.

Jesus must have been what Christendom proclaims Him to be — a divine being — or He could not have been what He was. No mind but an infinite mind could have left behind those things which Jesus gave the world as a heritage.

Today, we celebrate the birth of Our Savior Jesus Christ.

As you spend today with your family and friends, please stop for a moment and say a prayer for our nation and those who are away from home, protecting you and me.

Please allow me to close with one of my favorite Christmas songs.

God bless us, everyone.

Until He Comes,

From the Innkeeper’s Point of View

NativityLuke 2:  1-7 (ASV):

1 Now it came to pass in those days, there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be enrolled.

2 This was the first enrolment made when Quirinius was governor of Syria.

3 And all went to enrol themselves, every one to his own city.

4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family of David;

5 to enrol himself with Mary, who was betrothed to him, being great with child.

6 And it came to pass, while they were there, the days were fulfilled that she should be delivered.

7 And she brought forth her firstborn son; and she wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.

I remember it like it was yesterday.  Caesar Augustus had come up with the bright idea that a census should be taken of the whole Roman Empire, in order to more effectively tax the stew out of all of us.

It especially hurt small businessmen like me.  You see, I’m nothing but a lowly innkeeper, barely keeping my head above water, working 16 hour days.  Oy!  I could continue to gripe, but who would listen?

Anyway, like I said, Caesar decreed that everyone should get themselves registered for the Census.  In terms of business, that actually turned out to be a good thing.

I was about to lock up for the night, when a young man and  woman came to the door.  He was a strong, rugged-looking young man.  I think he was a carpenter.  She was a beautiful, pregnant little thing.  Bless her heart, she looked like she would deliver at any moment.  Their names were Joseph and Mary.

My inn was packed, for once, and I had no rooms available.  But, some part of my heart told me that I just couldn’t send them away, so I offered them my stable, which would at least offer some protection from the elements.

What happened that night was wondrous.  Men are still talking about it to this day.  A precious little baby boy was born that night and the most miraculous things happened.  People said that animals actually spoke!  And, the local shepherds said that angels came to them and told them about this baby.  They sang His praises and told the shepherds that they needed to come to my stable to see and worship that little baby.

Three wise men, sent by Herod, showed up later, bearing gifts for that special infant.  They were overcome by that little one and decided that they would not report back to Herod, but, instead, would return to their homes.

It was quite a remarkable time.  As the years went by, I heard stories about that child.  They named Him Jesus.  He grew in knowledge and stature.  At 12, his parents lost Him.  They found Him in the synagogue, teaching the old men that should have been teaching Him!  Can you imagine?

He grew up working beside His father in his carpentry business and when He was 30, I heard that He was baptized by that wild man, John The Baptist.  According to witnesses, the heavens parted, and they heard the voice of God saying:

This is my beloved son, in whom I am well pleased.

For three years, He traveled with a group of twelve disciples, performing miracles, preaching and teaching about God’s love and His plan for mankind.

And, now I’ve heard that just yesterday, they nailed Him to a cross, executing Him as they would a common criminal.

So sad.  But, you know, there is a still, small voice inside of me that’s telling me that His story is not over, yet.

I truly hope that you enjoyed this post today.  I originally wrote the preceding story 8 years ago today in honor of this special night.

Tonight, we celebrate the birth of Our Savior Jesus Christ.  In closing, I want to share two videos with you.  The first is a video entitled, “That’s my King!”, as read by Dr. S.M. Lockridge.  The second video is a song that I’ve had the privilege of singing in choirs many times, “The Hallelujah Chorus”, which has become a favorite of Believers everywhere.

Merry Christmas to you and yours!  And may God bless us, everyone!

Until He Comes,

New President of Planned Parenthood Says Abortion is “a Basic Human Right”…What?

cute_christmas_baby-normal

If Planned Parenthood wants to be involved in providing counseling services and HIV testing, they ought not be in the business of providing abortions. – Vice-President Mike Pence

ChristianPost.com reports that

Planned Parenthood’s new president has argued that abortion is a basic human right and denounced what she called “repeated attacks from the Trump administration” against her organization.

Dr. Leana Wen, who replaced Cecile Richards as head of the nation’s largest abortion business that gets over $500 million in taxpayer funding every year and performs over 320,000 abortions annually, told People magazine in an interview published Tuesday that she viewed abortion as “a basic human right.”

“Reproductive health care is health care,” said Wen. “Women’s health care is health care. And health care is a basic human right.”

“And we’re proud to provide the full range of reproductive health care, from birth control to abortions. We’re proud to provide breast and cervical screenings, we’re proud to provide care to our LGBTQ patients, to all patients.”

Although Wen has repeatedly said that Planned Parenthood provides breast cancer screenings, in 2015 Richards testified before the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform that none of its clinics have ever provided mammograms, despite accepting annual contributions from the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation for breast cancer screenings. When the Susan G. Komen Foundation attempted in 2012 to stop providing donations to Planned Parenthood, pro-choice activists staged a nationwide protest. The following year, the breast cancer foundation relented and gave Planned Parenthood $677,287.

While Planned Parenthood doesn’t provide mammograms, it offers what’s known as a breast self-exam. The Christian Post reported in 2016 that after calling several Planned Parenthood clinics nationwide to schedule a breast exam, only one said they might be able to perform a breast self-exam for a fee of $100, but it wasn’t a service they were used to providing.

A breast self-exam is not recommended by either the American Cancer Society or the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation as the preferred method of examination. Instead, both organizations advise women to have an annual mammogram.

In her interview with People, Wen also denounced efforts to defund Planned Parenthood, claiming they are politically-driven attacks on their health care services.

“We feel repeated attacks from the Trump administration against reproductive health and women’s health almost on a daily basis,” continued Wen. “We are very concerned about the Trump administration’s efforts to attack science, to attack medicine, to attack the fundamental right to health care.”

Christina Vazquez of Life News took issue with Wen’s comments, saying in a piece published Wednesday that she considered the Planned Parenthood president’s remarks “highly misguided.”

“The Trump administration has consistently clarified that taxpayer funding would be cut from Planned Parenthood unless they completely separate their abortion business from their taxpayer-funded services,” wrote Vazquez.

“Furthermore, in May, a federal judge ruled in favor of the Trump administration’s decision to cut off Title X funding for Planned Parenthood. If Planned Parenthood were to house its abortion services in a different facility, with a different staff, it could still receive Title X funds, which could range from $50 million to $60 million annually.”

In 2017, Live Action released an investigative report showing that only five Planned Parenthood clinics provide health care to pregnant women.

Let me get this straight…

Killing another human is a “basic human right”?

And, if you tell me that the life form growing inside a human mother is not a humid,

I will tell you that you have been watching the 1970’s Drive-In Movie “Humanoids From the Deep”, again.

The comments made by Dr. Wen is the kind of callousness and unadulterated EVIL which deserves absolutely none of our tax dollars.

Have you ever tried to have a discussion with an ardent pro-abortion supporter, either on Facebook or face-to-face? You won’t hear these “Champions of Tolerance” call those innocent lives, babies, human beings, a life, a soul, a gift from God, or anything remotely resembling something that they should feel remorse about killing.

Heck, Pro-Abortionists are opposed to the taking of sonograms of the woman’s womb, before she has an abortion. They’re afraid that the “seed-carrier” will realize that IS a HUMAN BEING inside her, and will decide not to kill that baby.

From the scientific perspective, Dr. Carlo Bellieni, in his book “Dawn of the I: Pain, Memory, Desire, Dream of the Fetus,” writes:

As soon as it is born, the child shows in a scientifically demonstrable way that it recognizes its mother’s voice and distinguishes it from that of a stranger. Where has he learned that voice other than in the maternal womb?

There are also direct proofs. For example, we register how the movements and cardiac frequency of the fetus vary if we transmit unexpected sounds through the uterine wall. And we see that at first the fetus is startled, then it gets used to it, just like we do when we hear something that does not interest us.

In fact, the scientific evidence is immense. We cannot understand how it can be thought that it becomes a person at a certain point, perhaps when coming out of the uterus.

From the physical point of view, at the birth very little really changes: Air enters the lungs, the arrival of blood from the placenta is interrupted, the type of circulation of blood in the heart changes, and not much more.

As I often say, only blind faith in magic arts or some strange divinity can lead one to think that there is a “human” quality leap at a given moment — certainly not science.

I have always said that, in what seems to be a majority of the cases, abortion is a selfish act. It ends the life of an innocent human being, before they have even had the chance to live it.

Life is not, and never will be, a bicycle ride in the park.

Life is a series of challenges, which every person has to meet head on, and make the choice between right and wrong for themselves.

I know that there are some of you that read my blog that are non-believers.  For you and for my Christian brothers and sisters, I offer the following closing thoughts:

There is a curious unique enzyme found in the human body.   Laminin is defined by the Webster Medical Dictionary as a “glycoprotein that is a component of connective tissue basement membrane and that promotes cell adhesion.”  In other words, a glue within the body.

Colossians 1:15-17 tells us:

15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. 16For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. 17And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

We have been given Free Will by Our Creator because WE ARE LOVED.

In fact, He loves us so much, that He gave us that still small voice, which resides in each one of us, which is referred to in secular terms as the conscience and is known to Christians as the Holy Spirit.

It is this still small voice which helps us make the important decisions which we face in this life, in order to overcome the challenges which we are faced with.

It’s also undoubtedly why the overwhelming majority of Americans remain upset about the ghoulish resurrection of the practices of and imitation of the Third Reich by Planned Parenthood through their monstrous marketing of the body parts of aborted babies.

Regardless of what you see in the Main Stream Media, the majority of Americans still know the difference between right and wrong.

And, so does the President which we elected.

Until He Comes,

“No Nuke” McConnell Refuses to Fund Wall with Simple Majority Vote

mitch-mcconnell-bannon-political-genius-1513960058

Breitbart.com reports that

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) rejected President Donald Trump’s call to partially fund the border wall with a simple majority vote on Friday, suggesting not enough Senate Republicans support the measure.

President Trump called on McConnell to use the “nuclear option,” or switch to a simple majority vote in the Senate, to pass the continuing resolution (CR) that would partially fund the border wall. The House passed a CR last night that would fund $5.7 billion in border security.

“Mitch, use the Nuclear Option and get it done!” Trump wrote on Twitter. “Our Country is counting on you!”

McConnell spokesman David Popp released a statement on Friday, contending that the Majority Leader continues to oppose going to a simple majority, or 51 votes, to partially fund the border wall. Popp said not enough Senate Republicans support the measure.

Popp said:

“The Leader has said for years that the votes are not there in the Conference to use the nuclear option. Just this morning, several senators put out statements confirming their opposition, and confirming that there is not a majority in the conference to go down that road.”

Retiring Sens. Jeff Flake (R-AZ), Orrin Hatch (R-UT), and Lamar Alexander (R-TN) all released statements on Friday, opposing the nuclear option to fund the wall.

“We have rules to follow. I want to put a stop to this practice of the Senate breaking its rules to change its rules,” Alexander said. “I will not vote to turn the Senate into a rule-breaking institution, and I hope that my colleagues will not.”

Not all Senate Republicans agree with the three retiring GOP lawmakers.

Sen. Steve Daines (R-MT) tweeted after the House passed its spending bill with wall funding that the Senate can do the same if it went to a simple majority. Daines noted that McConnell went “nuclear” to confirm judges through Congress’ upper chamber.

“House just passed a bill that fully funds government and enables @realDonaldTrump to secure our border/build the wall. Senate can do same by eliminating the filibuster,” Daines charged. “51 votes, same as we do for judges!”

Conservative Review senior editor Daniel Horowitz suggested that Republicans can use arcane parliamentary procedures in the Senate to pass border wall funding with a simple majority, skipping the option of entirely “going nuclear.”

Horowitz said that Republicans can exploit Senate Rule XIX, otherwise known as the “the two-speech rule,” which would prevent individual senators from speaking “more than twice upon any one question in debate on the same legislative day.” In other words, this would force Democrats to continually filibuster throughout the same “legislative day” and eventually exhaust Senate Democrats.

…The editor said that these sort of hardball tactics enabled Democrats to pass the civil rights bills in the 1960’s.

Horowitz added, “Republicans with convictions should recognize that having sovereign borders is the civil rights issue for all Americans, rooted in the entire social compact underpinning our federal government.”

“Trump must remember that his entire presidency is on the line. This is his moment,” Horowitz charged. “He must use the bully pulpit and every constitutional tool at his disposal to finally force a national debate over the integrity of our own borders.”

That’s a good suggestion.

I have one, also.

“No Nuke” McConnell needs to start caring more about the feelings of the Deplorables than those of the Senate Democrats.

What we are witnessing, gentle readers, bears witness to the fact that the Professional Politicians representing the Republican Party and more importantly, the American Citizenry, in the Senate care more about playing pussy-foot with their fellow Professional Politicians in the Democratic Party than they do about our Nation’s Sovereignty.

As was demonstrated throughout the Republican Primaries and at the 2016 National Convention, there is a contingency of the Republican Hierarchy, as exemplified by the late John McCain, who seem to value their friendship with those “across the aisle” from them more than the opinions of “the folks back home”.

What “No Nuke” McConnell and the rest of the Vichy Republicans need to understand is that if they intentionally keep President Trump from fulfilling his promise of a wall across our Southern Border, not only will the Congressional phone lines burn up, the switchboard itself will implode.

The average Americans between the coasts who voted Trump into the Oval Office still stand with him, as exhibited by the overflow crowds at the MAGA Rallies during the Midterms.

The Republican Senators and Representatives, too, for that matter, who have buttered their bread in DC by being wishy-washy are all choosing to retire and leave town, rather than be run over by the Trump Train.

The Presidential Election of 2016 was not only a referendum on business as usual in DC’s Halls of Power, it could very well be a portent of things to come for “No Nuke” McConnell and the rest of the “Beltway Boys” if they screw the Deplorables (i.e., average Americans living in America’s Heartland) by not funding the wall on the Southern Border.

Let’s face it…if the Senate Republicans are going to act like a bunch of Democrats…why should they keep their jobs?

FUND THE WALL.

BUILD THE WALL.

Until He Comes,
