Memphis City Council Sells Parks, Removes Confederate Statues Under Cover of Night, and Yet, the City’s Problems Remain – A KJ Analysis

“Walking in Memphis.

Walking with my feet ten feet off of Beale.

Walking in Memphis.

But, do I really feel the way I feel?” – Marc Cohen, 1991

Personally, I feel like I’m gonna hurl.

In the grand tradition of the Barbarians of ISIS and the Communist Revolution of 1918, the Memphis City Council, relying on the cover of the dark of night, simply removed historical monuments which “offended” them.

Memphis’s CBS Affiliate, WREG, reports that

The statue of Nathan Bedford Forrest was hoisted off its platform and lowered to a truck at 9:04 p.m. Wednesday, 112 years after the Confederate general and former Memphis resident was memorialized in a city park.Memphis City Council voted unanimously Wednesday evening to remove two controversial Confederate statues in Memphis, those of Confederate General Nathan Bedford Forrest and Confederate States of America President Jefferson Davis. They immediately approved the minutes.

Almost immediately, a heavy police presence surrounded the park and a crane rolled into Health Sciences Park on Union Avenue within minutes of the decision.

According to a tweet from Memphis Mayor Jim Strickland, the public parks have been sold to a private entity. He says the removal will be conducted by a private entity and will be compliant with the law.

Strickland is supposed to make a public comment at City Hall tonight.

The park property was transferred to a nonprofit called Memphis Greenspace. The group’s website lists its director as Van Turner, a former Shelby County commissioner.

Lee Millar with Sons of Confederate Veterans responded, “It is a deliberate attempt to avoid the state law and the city is breaking the law.”

The group in a Facebook post called the nonprofit the parks were sold to a “sham” and accused the city of desecrating Forrest’s gravesite.

The NAACP Memphis Branch said in a statement that history was made Wednesday. “The Memphis City Council and Mayor Jim Strickland heard the voices of the people who wanted these removed and legally made it happen.”

“We know we have more work to do, but it’s always nice to get a win,” said pastor Earle Fisher, who credited the work of Tami Sawyer with the group Takeemdown901 with pushing the issue. “I think it’s fair to say we would not be where we are today without her leadership.”

Fisher said the group would continue to fight for other issues such as pay and poverty.

City officials have said for some time that are unanimous in wanting Memphis’ Confederate statues removed before the 50th anniversary next year of Dr. Martin Luther King’s assassination in Memphis in April 1968.

Forrest, a Confederate general and slave trader in Memphis, was originally buried in Elmwood Cemetery. His grave was moved to Union Avenue and the equestrian statue built there in 1905.

Davis’ monument was placed Downtown in 1965.

As a 59-year-old resident of the Memphis Area, I have borne witness to the governmental mismanagement and resulting decay and degeneration of what was once one of the friendliest places in the country to live.

There are still friendly people in Memphis, but, chances are, they work in Memphis and are living in the suburbs, as I do.

The mass exodus of Memphis taxpayers started when Memphis Mayor Willie Herenton, who occupied that office from 1991-2008, told taxpayers of a Caucasian persuasion, if they did not like the way he was running the city, they could leave.

So, they did.

Since then, violent crime in Memphis has steadily risen, to the point where some suburban husbands will not allow their families to enter Memphis during the day or night.

On February 6, 2013, the Majority-Black-Democrat Memphis City Council renamed three Confederate-themed parks to prevent some State Legislators from blocking such name changes.

The council passed a resolution to immediately rename Confederate Park and Jefferson Davis Park in downtown Memphis and Nathan Bedford Forrest Park, which lies just a few miles away. The vote was 9-0 with three members abstaining.

And now, they have decided that because an era of American History is offensive to some, it is their job to censor history and remove any sort of reminder of that turbulent time.

Meanwhile, the black-on-black homicidal genocide continues in what was once the “City of Good Abode”, now #2 on the FBI’s Most Dangerous Cities List for 2017.

It must have been those Confederate Statues’ fault…it just HAS to have been the fault of the General and his wife…maybe even, his horse.

It has to have been.

Otherwise, the people who have been responsible for the descent of “The City of Good Abode” into Detroit South, where black Americans are being murdered every night of the week, would have to be held responsible for their own actions.

And we can’t have that, now…

Can we?

By the way, what those who moved the General don’t want you to dwell on is the fact that the General and his wife were buried beside the statue and therefore now have to be “relocated”.

Does this mean that we can dig up their relatives who have passed away and “relocate” them, too, if we find them to be “offensive”?

Just asking.

But, I digress…

It is time for the Memphis City Council to quite worrying about offending somebody or not be seen as being “politically correct” and to start worrying about the fact that Memphis has too much violent crime, which is affecting the city’s revenue in innumerable ways.

For instance, Memphis has no big conventions, such as the Annual Convocation of the Church of God in Christ, coming to it anymore because of inadequate convention space, which cannot be renovated and expanded because no big conventions will come to the Bluff City. Meanwhile, the Occupancy Rate of Memphis Hotels remains at a constant, stagnant 52%.

But, by gosh, by golly, now that the Memphis City Council has gotten rid of the General and ol’ Jeff Davis, decades of poor Democratic Stewardship will magically disappear and all of Memphis’ problems will be solved.

…And, I’m actually a blonde 22-year old Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader named “Buffy”.

If the City Council actually believes that Confederate Statues are the reason that Memphis, Tennessee has regressed from being an annual “City Beautiful Award” Winner to a city where the Homicide Rate finished #7 in the entire nation last year, I believe that they have their heads lodged firmly up a dark and lonely place.

At this rate, they might as well leave their heads where they are, because they are certainly not using them to think.

Will the last taxpayer in Memphis please turn off the lights?

Until He Comes.

Snowflakes Melting: Hillary’s Popularity Reaches New Low. Plus – A Comparison of Hillary & Trump’s “Accomplishments” in the White House

Branco-Trump-and-Hillary1

Every day the Main Stream Media bombards us with stories as to how unpopular Donald J. Trump, the 45th President of the United States of America, is.

Stories, which when I watch them, bring a wry smile to my face because these are the same Political Pundits who told us that Hillary Clinton was going to beat our current president in a landslide victory on November 8, 2016.

Speaking of witch…err…which, how is “The Queen of Mean” doing these days?

Well…

Per Gallup.com

Hillary Clinton’s image has declined since June and is now the worst Gallup has measured for her to date. Her favorable rating has fallen five percentage points since June to a new low of 36%, while her unfavorable rating has hit a new high of 61%.

Clinton’s prior low favorable rating was 38% in late August/early September 2016 during the presidential campaign. She also registered a 38% favorable rating (with a 40% unfavorable rating) in April 1992, when she was much less well-known.

Let’s compare the “accomplishments” of these two during their time in the White House as President and Secretary of State, respectively, shall we?

According to Rich Lowry. who posted the following yesterday at NationalReview.com,

As the year ends, he is compiling a solid record of accomplishment.

Republicans have tried, on and off, to open the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge for oil drilling since the 1980s. The effort has always engendered intense opposition and always been abandoned. A provision for drilling in ANWR is included in the Republican tax bill almost as an afterthought.

Republicans took a constitutional fight against Obamacare’s individual mandate to the Supreme Court in 2012, and lost. They targeted it in their Obamacare repeal-and-replace bill earlier this year, and lost. They tried again with a last-ditch “skinny repeal” bill, and lost yet again. Repeal of the individual mandate also is included in the Republican tax bill.

As the year ends, President Donald Trump is compiling a solid record of accomplishment. Much of it is unilateral, dependent on extensive executive actions rolling back President Barack Obama’s regulations, impressive judicial appointments, and the successful fight against ISIS overseas. The tax bill is the significant legislative achievement that heretofore had been missing.

For much of the year, Trump’s presidency had seemed to be sound and fury signifying not much besides the welcome ascension of Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court; now, it is sound and fury signifying a discernible shift of American government to the right. It’s hard to see how a conventional Republican president would have done much better, except if he had managed to get Obamacare repealed, which was always going to be a dicey proposition given the narrow Republican majority in the Senate.

The tax cut is big — $1.5 trillion over ten years, and even more if you account for the budgetary gimmicks — and has changes that conservative economists have sought for decades, particularly the lower corporate rate (from 35 to 21 percent), the move to a territorial tax system (companies would only be taxed on their earnings in the U.S.), and the business expensing (companies can write off the full cost of new buildings and equipment). These reforms are arguably as significant on the corporate side as the Reagan reforms of 1981 were on the individual side. They stand a good chance to be enduring, too — it’s unlikely we are ever going back up to a 35 percent corporate rate or returning to a worldwide tax system.

The administration’s deregulatory apparatus has been in full gear. The Environmental Protection Agency is unspooling the Waters of the United States and the Clean Power Plan, major Obama-era regulations. The Federal Communications Commission reversed net neutrality. The Education Department rescinded an Obama administration Title IX letter that pushed colleges into abandoning due process in sexual-assault cases.

Obama administration rulings that occasioned fierce debates during his time in office have fallen by the wayside with barely a whimper. Obama blocked the Keystone pipeline to appease environmentalists who vociferously argued that the future of the planet was stake. Trump greenlighted it without a fuss. Obama imposed a Health and Human Services mandate that feminists portrayed as the only obstacle between women and a Handmaid’s Tale future. Trump reversed it, and contraception is still widely and easily available in America.

If any Republican would have done much of what Trump has, three acts stand out — pulling out of the Paris accords, decertifying the Iran deal, and declaring Jerusalem the capital of Israel. All three demonstrated an imperviousness to polite opinion that is one of Trump’s signature qualities.

The president also began the process of ending DACA, the Obama amnesty for so-called DREAMers, and has re-established a baseline of immigration enforcement that has had an instant impact on illegal border crossings.

Now…let’s talk about what a bang-up job that Former Secretary of State Clinton did during her tenure in that position, shall we?

Here are eight Foreign Policy Disasters, which happened under Hillary’s watch as the Architect of “Smart Power!”, in no particular order:

The decision to overthrow President Gaddafi in Libya – The short-sighted, ill-conceived action not only undermined an ally in the (now defunct) “Global War on Terror,” it also served to throw gasoline on the bonfire known as “Arab Spring”.

President Ronald Reagan had a missile fired into Gaddafi’s bedroom, resulting in him keeping quiet for 25 years. Just sayin’…

The Afghanistan “surge”- A military campaign that fails to result in a desired political outcome is con only be considered a failure. What exactly was Obama and Hillary’s desired outcome when they called for this?

It is a fait d’accompli that the Karzai Government will be able to survive long once the U.S. completes its withdrawal of its combat forces from the country in 2014. This is can only be considered a failure, A failure which cost too many of our Brightest and Best.

Granting Afghanistan major non-NATO U.S. ally status – Why did Barry and Hill decide to grant Afghanistan the status of a major non-NATO ally? When we pull out, our enemies will pour in. And, with “friends” like these, you don’t need enemies.

Maintaining the status quo with Pakistan – Pakistan has a long history of sponsoring Sunni jihadists of various stripes. Following the 2001 attacks on the United States, they did an about-face, becoming a chief partner in the U.S. military campaign in Afghanistan as well as its “global war on terror.”

10 years later, following the successful May 2011 raid in Abbottabad, Pakistan that resulted in the death of Al-Qaeda founder Osama bin Laden, Pakistan promptly denounced the U.S. and closed its vital supply routes to NATO-bound shipments to Afghanistan.

Hil and Barry got “played”.

The East Asia “pivot” – Strictly an exercise in containment, attempts at containing China will only fuel Chinese fears of foreign encirclement, that will encourage Chinese assertiveness, that will further encourage containment.

This pivot is only a bluff on behalf of the feckless purveyors of “Smart Power” to begin with.

As shown by the continued drawing of “Red Lines”, they will not stand up to our enemies.

Arab Spring – The Arab Spring was a series of protests and uprisings in the Middle East that began with unrest in Tunisia in late 2010. The Arab Spring has brought down regimes in some Arab countries, sparked mass violence in others, while some governments managed to delay the trouble with a mix of repression, promise of reform and state largesse.

Through this all Hillary and Obama have back the Muslim Brotherhood, the Godfather of Muslim Terrorist Organizations, in deposing Moderate Muslim Leaders.

Doesn’t make a while lot of sense, does it?

BenghaziGate – On September 11, 2012, Muslim Terrorists stormed the US Embassy Compound in Benghazi, Libya, slaughtered 4 brave Americans, including US Ambassador Chris Stephens, whose lifeless, sexually assaulted body they drug through the streets, while taking cell phone pictures of his corpse.

I have written several blogs about the Administration’s Cover-up of this atrocity, but the seminal moment, regarding Hillary Clinton came in January of 2013, during an exchange between her and Sen. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin at a Foreign Relations Committee hearing.

Johnson asked her about the administration’s conflicting explanations for the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, which killed the ambassador and three other Americans. Hillary, as we say down here in Dixie, “got on her high keys” and said,

With all due respect, the fact is we had four dead Americans. Was it because of a protest or was it because just a bunch of regular guys, out for a walk one night, decided to go kill some Americans? What difference at this point does it make? It is our job to figure out what happened and do everything we can to prevent it from ever happening again, Senator.

Uranium One – Uranium One was a uranium company acquired by the Russian government which received approval from Hillary Clinton’s State Department to mine for uranium in the U.S. and gave Russia twenty percent control of US uranium. The New York Times reported Uranium One’s chairman, Frank Giustra, made significant donations to the Clinton Foundation, and Bill Clinton was paid $500,000 for one speech from a Russian investment bank that has “links to the Kremlin that was promoting Uranium One stock.”  Notably, Frank Giustra, the Clinton Foundation’s largest and most controversial donor, does not appear anywhere in Clinton’s “non-private” emails. It is possible that the emails of such key donors were automatically scrubbed to protect the Clinton Foundation.

In conclusion, gentle readers, please allow me to observe that our Sovereign Nation did not just “dodge a bullet” through the Grace of God by the election of Donald J. Trump as our 45th President….

America dodged a jihad, a nuclear attack, and a cotton pickin’ Second Bolshevik Revolution.

Pelosi Pushes to Pass Law to Limit the President’s Power to Launch Nukes First

nanpelosi

“North Korea best not make any more threats to the United States. They will be met with the fire and fury like the world has never seen. He (Kim Jong Un) has been very threatening beyond a normal state, and as I said, they will be met with the fire and fury and, frankly, power the likes of which this world has never seen before.” – President Donald J. Trump

CNSNews.com reports that

Any legislation regarding the first-use of nuclear weapons by the United States must be bipartisan and apply to all current and future U.S. presidents, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) told a news conference on Thursday.

“I put this in the category of urgent. We take an oath to protect and defend,” she said.

Pelosi said an “ancient” law, dating back to 1946, currently authorizes the president of the United States to exercise the first use of nuclear weapons. “It was in a different world, and now I think it is necessary for us to address it,” she said of the 1946 law.

“There are all kinds of proposals out there, one saying — declaring the United States of America will not engage in first use of a nuclear weapon. I like that one best.”

Pelosi said other proposals would require the president to get the advice of “some people in his cabinet,” to be determined, before launching a nuclear first strike.

“So, more to come on that. I believe that as we go forward with anything like that, it has to be in a bipartisan way, because it’s about all presidents, no matter who (he) or she may be down the road.”

A reporter asked Pelosi if Congress’s sudden attention to no-first-use has something to do with concerns that President Trump will launch a nuclear weapon at North Korea and lead the U.S. into World War III, as Sen. Bob Corker suggested recently.

“Well, this doesn’t’ really have to do with him, it has to do with the presidency of any president,” Pelosi said. “Now, I remind, if our country is attacked, the War Powers Act triggers for the executive any and all powers. But there is interest in the U.S. establishing itself as no first use.

President Trump often has scorned the notion of presidents letting the enemy know ahead of time what the United States may or may not do.

Of course he doesn’t want our enemies to know what we may or may not do. Who do you think he is…Barack Hussein Obama?

Of course, the old bi…err…bat wants to take control of the defense of our nation away from President Donald J. Trump.

She knows that the 45th President of the United States of America takes his job very seriously, as the world found out in his first address to the United Nations, which was very well received by those nations whose opinions actually matter.

Trump is not the madman that Pelosi tries to infer him to be.

Rather, he listens to his Cabinet and, so far, his Foreign Policy Maneuvers have been measured and precise.

Those who would violence against America now know that there is a “new sheriff in town”.

They are no longer dealing with Petulant President Pantywaist, who went on a World Apology Tour as soon as he got into office.

We are facing the very real possibility that the little  Korean Madman, Kim Jong Un, is going to launch nuclear missiles at us.

While no President can control the actions of other countries, in their own affairs, the position of President of the United States has not historically been referred to as the Leader of the Free World for no reason.

That position has historically been the Vanguard in the fight against despotism and tyranny.

Unfortunately, for lovers of freedom the world over, instead of being the leader that the world and America itself needed, Barack Hussein Obama instead was an example of the Peter Principle.

He rose to his level of incompetence.

Obama believed in a “Chamberlain-esque” Foreign Policy of appeasement, consisting of vague warnings, pay-offs, and drawing red lines in the sand.

It didn’t work.

His continuance of the Democratic Strategy which began at the end of the Korean War of “kicking the can down the road”, instead of standing up and dealing with North Korea has led to the 45th President having to deal with a Nuclear North Korea led by a despotic madman with his finger on the button.

Our President’s plain-spoken warning of “fire and fury” to the little Korean Madman, Kim Jung Un, was entirely appropriate and needed to be said.

Regardless of the “Concerned Handwringing” from the usual suspects, including “San Fran Nan” Pelosi, the old bi…err…bat..

Much to their angst and chagrin, President Donald J. Trump appears to be adopting President Ronald Reagan’s Foreign Policy of “Peace Through Strength.”

And, unlike his ineffectual Democrat Predecessors, President Trump is willing to do whatever it takes to protect our Sovereign Nation.

Sebastian Gorka, President Trump’s Former Deputy Adviser on National Security Affairs, once said the following about politicians publicly second guessing the president on such  grave matters as North Korea.

“Anybody, whether a member of Congress or a journalist, who thinks [their] politics trumps the national security of America, that’s an indictment of you. You need to ask yourself: what’s more important? My political party or America. There’s only one correct answer to that.”

Pelosi, the old bi…err…bat, per usual, answered “wrongly”.

A KJ Sunday Morning Reflection: With Our Country Being Intentionally Politically Torn Apart, Who Are We Actually Fighting?

bible-american-flag1

The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing. – Edmund Burke

If you, like myself , are a Political Junkie, and spend any time at all on Internet Political Website comments sections and political chat boards, you might think that American Christians are an endangered species.
Far from it.
According to a Gallup Poll taken in 2015, 3/4ths of our country believe that Jesus Christ is their Personal Savior and proudly proclaim themselves to be Christians.
So, if Americans believe in the Son of God, does that mean that they believe in the Fallen Angel, formerly known as Lucifer, also?
You betcha.
In September of 2013, YouGov.com conducted a poll which showed that almost six in ten Americans believe that Satan is real, and more than half of Americans believe that people can be possessed by demons.

Is all this upheaval our nation is feverishly attempting to recover from, with no help from “The Resistances”, “Antifa”, , or whatever you want to call the Anti-American immature idiots, due to some sort of Satanic Influence attempting to tip the scales in the fight between Good and Evil, across our land?

A man, who would be considered a cornball by the standards of today’s Socially-Liberal Fiscally Conservative Liberals, Moderates, and “Libertarians”, wrote a prophetic analysis of today’s current events.

This speech was broadcast by legendary ABC Radio commentator Paul Harvey on April 3, 1965:

If I were the Devil . . . I mean, if I were the Prince of Darkness, I would of course, want to engulf the whole earth in darkness. I would have a third of its real estate and four-fifths of its population, but I would not be happy until I had seized the ripest apple on the tree, so I should set about however necessary to take over the United States. I would begin with a campaign of whispers. With the wisdom of a serpent, I would whisper to you as I whispered to Eve: “Do as you please.” “Do as you please.” To the young, I would whisper, “The Bible is a myth.” I would convince them that man created God instead of the other way around. I would confide that what is bad is good, and what is good is “square”. In the ears of the young marrieds, I would whisper that work is debasing, that cocktail parties are good for you. I would caution them not to be extreme in religion, in patriotism, in moral conduct. And the old, I would teach to pray. I would teach them to say after me: “Our Father, which art in Washington” . . .

If I were the devil, I’d educate authors in how to make lurid literature exciting so that anything else would appear dull an uninteresting. I’d threaten T.V. with dirtier movies and vice versa. And then, if I were the devil, I’d get organized. I’d infiltrate unions and urge more loafing and less work, because idle hands usually work for me. I’d peddle narcotics to whom I could. I’d sell alcohol to ladies and gentlemen of distinction. And I’d tranquilize the rest with pills. If I were the devil, I would encourage schools to refine young intellects but neglect to discipline emotions . . . let those run wild. I would designate an atheist to front for me before the highest courts in the land and I would get preachers to say “she’s right.” With flattery and promises of power, I could get the courts to rule what I construe as against God and in favor of pornography, and thus, I would evict God from the courthouse, and then from the school house, and then from the houses of Congress and then, in His own churches I would substitute psychology for religion, and I would deify science because that way men would become smart enough to create super weapons but not wise enough to control them.

If I were Satan, I’d make the symbol of Easter an egg, and the symbol of Christmas, a bottle. If I were the devil, I would take from those who have and I would give to those who wanted, until I had killed the incentive of the ambitious. And then, my police state would force everybody back to work. Then, I could separate families, putting children in uniform, women in coal mines, and objectors in slave camps. In other words, if I were Satan, I’d just keep on doing what he’s doing.

Paul Harvey, Good Day.

John Adams, the second President of these United States, delivered the following message to the Officers of the First Brigade of the Third Division of the Militia of Massachusetts on October 11, 1798:

Gentleman,

While our country remains untainted with the principles and manners which are now producing desolation in so many parts of the world; while she continues sincere, and incapable of insidious and impious policy, we shall have the strongest reason to rejoice in the local destination assigned us by Providence. But should the people of America once become capable of that deep simulation towards one another, and towards foreign nations, which assumes the language of justice and moderation while it is practising iniquity and extravagance, and displays I have received from Major-General Hull and Brigadier, General Walker your unanimous address from Lexington, animated with a martial spirit, and expressed with a military dignity becoming your character and the memorable plains on which it was adopted. In the most captivating manner the charming pictures of candor, frankness, and sincerity, while it is rioting in rapine and insolence, this country will be the most miserable habitation in the World; because we have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge, or gallantry, would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.

Noah Webster: (EVOLUTIONARY SOLDIER; JUDGE; LEGISLATOR; EDUCATOR; “SCHOOLMASTER TO AMERICA”), wrote

[T]he religion which has introduced civil liberty is the religion of Christ and His apostles… This is genuine Christianity and to this we owe our free constitutions of government.129

The moral principles and precepts found in the Scriptures ought to form the basis of all our civil constitutions and laws.

All the… evils which men suffer from vice, crime, ambition, injustice, oppression, slavery and war, proceed from their despising or neglecting the precepts contained in the Bible.131

[O]ur citizens should early understand that the genuine source of correct republican principles is the Bible, particularly the New Testament, or the Christian religion.

[T]he Christian religion is the most important and one of the first things in which all children under a free government ought to be instructed. No truth is more evident than that the Christian religion must be the basis of any government intended to secure the rights and privileges of a free people.

The Bible is the chief moral cause of all that is good and the best corrector of all that is evil in human society – the best book for regulating the temporal concerns of men.

[T]he Christian religion… is the basis, or rather the source, of all genuine freedom in government… I am persuaded that no civil government of a republican form can exist and be durable in which the principles of Christianity have not a controlling influence.

Are the Powers of Darkness winning?

For example. if  you look at Horror Movies nowadays, all of them seem to seek to glorify the Powers of Darkness….and they seem to be very popular with young Americans.

Why is the Occult, including Satan and his Demons so fascinating to impressionable Americans?

People who take the existence of  Satan lightly, eventually wind up in some sort of trouble, and those who worship Satan wind up in even greater trouble.

Back in the 1960s, the late, beautiful actress Jayne Mansfield posed for a series of publicity pictures with the Head Priest of the Church of Satan, Anton LaVey. The pictures showing her with LaVey, included several shots of taking their version of Communion, simulating drinking blood from a goblet, offered by the priest. She even wore a pink and black medallion of Satan and the goat-headed Baphomet to the 1966 San Francisco Film Festival. Later, the beautiful actress died in a freak car accident in which she was decapitated.

Now, far be it from me to link one to the other. That is up for you to decide for yourself.

Is all this upheaval our nation is currently facing, caused by the Democrats, the Propaganda Arm, the MSM, and their young minions, due to some sort of Satanic Influence attempting to tip the scales in the fight between Good and Evil, across our land?

The reason that our nation is facing the difficulties we are is the belief by those who proclaim themselves to be the “smartest people in the room”, that they are above the old-fashioned, passe notions of morality and ethics, good and evil, and the Sovereignty of God.

They have made a grave mistake.

Evil exists and these fools opened the door to Satan in our society a long time ago.

When it all comes crashing down around them, what are they going to say?

The Devil made me do it?

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. – Ephesians 6:12

Like a Scorned Lover, CNN Attempts to Blackmail an Average American…Over a Video. Desperation is Embarrassed.

Donald-trump (2)

The Main Stream Media has gotten so desperate to bring down President Donald J. Trump that that they have adopted the strategy of publishing unsubstantiated lie after unsubstantiated lie in order to assuage their own hurt feelings after their failure to succeed in helping Democratic Candidate Hillary Clinton become the 45th President of the United States of America.

The depth of their grief and the blind rage of their ensuing temper tantrum has, without a doubt, wiped out any vestiges of journalistic integrity that remained after decades of being the Propaganda Arm of the Democratic Party.

It has gotten so bad that now, CNN, one of their own, has turned to blackmail.

Foxnews.com reports that

CNN faced widespread backlash Wednesday for seeming to imply the network would reveal the identity of the Reddit user who made an anti-CNN, Trump-themed GIF if he reneged on an apology – but some critics suggested the network also could have a legal problem on its hands.

Republican Texas Sen. Ted Cruz took to Twitter to cite Georgia state law’s prohibition against “theft by extortion.”

“Troubling. I assume CNN’s lawyers are examining GA § 16-8-16 Theft by extortion. If CNN constructively obtained the gif-maker’s IP…it’s a GA crime if they threatened to ‘Disseminate any information tending to subject any person to hatred, contempt, or ridicule….’” he wrote, citing a portion of the statute.

WikiLeaks’ Julian Assange also claimed on Twitter that CNN may have violated various state and federal laws related to “coercion” and the First Amendment.

CNN, however, has adamantly defended its handling of the story, issuing a statement Wednesday saying the network did not publish the user’s name out of concern for his safety — adding, “Any assertion that the network blackmailed or coerced him is false.”

In the statement, CNN said the team published the line in question to be “transparent that there was no deal.”

Andrew Kaczynski, the senior editor and founding member of the cable network’s KFile investigative team, tweeted several defenses of the article, saying parts were “being misinterpreted.”

The Reddit user in question was behind the controversial GIF that President Trump tweeted out Sunday — and that showed Trump wrestling an opponent (from his pre-politician days) with a CNN logo plastered over his face. The KFile group found the creator — user name “HanA**holeSolo” — by comparing information posted on Reddit to Facebook profiles. While CNN decided against publishing the user’s real name, the network appeared to attach a caveat to that decision.

“CNN is not publishing ‘HanA**holeSolo’s’ name because he is a private citizen who has issued an extensive statement of apology, showed his remorse by saying he has taken down all his offending posts, and because he said he is not going to repeat this ugly behavior on social media again,” the article stated. “…CNN reserves the right to publish his identity should any of that change.”

Further, CNN’s initial Tuesday tweet about the article implied the Reddit user only apologized once he was contacted by the KFile.

Internet Trolls were whining and crying all day yesterday, insisting that what CNN did, was not blackmail.

Per Merriam-Webster Dictionary, “blackmail” is

extortion or coercion by threats especially of public exposure or criminal prosecution

I say to you, boys and girls, that not only is CNN comprised of a bunch of blackmailers, they, all with the rest of the overtly Anti-Trump Mainstream Media are a bunch of FASCISTS.

During Hitler’s rise to power, the German Press demonized European Jews, betraying them as evil and money grubbing…painting them as being different from normal German citizens. It was this classification of the European Jews as the enemy that almost led to the extinction of them in that horrible attempted genocide, known as the Holocaust.

And, now, those on the Far Left of the Political Spectrum, the Democratic Party and their Propaganda Arm, the Main Stream Media, spurred on by their own political ambition and ideology, are deliberately, and, with malice of forethought, making Donald J. Trump, the object of their attempts to limit our Constitutional Freedom, through a calculated and, at times, manic, demonization of him, in a desperate attempt to  convince average Americans that we all made a horrible mistake on November 8, 2016, and that Hillary Clinton was not whom we all witnessed her to be.

“With all due respect, the fact is we had four dead Americans. Was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night decided to go kill some Americans? What difference at this point does it make? It is our job to figure out what happened and do everything we can to prevent it from ever happening again, Senator.” – Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Senate Hearings on Benghazi, January 22, 2013

Unfortunately for the Democratic Party and their baying hounds in their Propaganda Arm, the Main Stream Media, Trump continues to fight back, which is his Constitutional Right.

And, average Americans are still supporting him, as evidenced in the polls conducted by Rasmussen, no matter what heavily-Democrat-weighted push polls may claim.

On his radio program yesterday, Rush Limbaugh cut straight to the heart of the matter, as he usually does…

People tell me all weekend they’re never seen anything like CNN reporting on this guy creating this video, hunting him down, only agreeing to withhold his identity because he bowed to them and apologized and agreed never to do it again. There’s CNN overtly warning everybody else against conducting speech that CNN defines as objectionable and unacceptable, by saying that they will use their full force against him or anybody else to destroy them if they ever again laugh at CNN. How can you not laugh at them?

They’ve become a national joke, and they’re the last ones in on it. They don’t know that most people watching them are laughing at them. They don’t know that most people tune in now to see what the next train wreck’s gonna be. Donald Trump is taking on the American media as so many millions of Americans have longed for, have hoped for, and have wished for — and to some, it looks uncomfortable. It feels uncomfortable. It makes them a little nervous. “I don’t know that it’s presidential.” This is what it looks like, folks, and don’t forget who started it.

Don’t forget who’s been saying all of these vile, revolting things about Trump that are not true. And all the people I know who say, “We can’t sit here and just take it. We have to fight back. The Republicans never fight back. They just sit there and take it.” I myself have offered that critique. Now we’ve got somebody fighting back. We’ve got somebody fighting back at the media, and not just CNN. We got somebody fighting back against the Washington establishment. Of course they’re acting like stuck pigs, because this is what it looks like.

What the Democrat Elites, their Propaganda Arm, the Main Stream Media, and all of the Liberals out there still crying in their Pepsi Product of choice over watching the machinations of a Constitutional Republic in action do not want to admit, is that the Electoral Collage was put in place to prevent what they are still trying to accomplish by any means necessary: overthrowing an election in which Americans who living in the Heartland of our nation defeated a Presidential Candidate running on the favored Political Ideology of isolated Metropolitan Areas with dense populations.

The American People overthrew the “Tyranny of the Minority”, which we have suffered under for the last 8 years on November 8th.

All these displaced Fascist Liberals are accomplishing with their unsubstantiated claims against President Trump, their outlandish political machinations, and their overwhelming hypocrisy, like yesterdays disgusting revelation of CNN’s attempt at blackmail, is to make average Americans, who rejected their political ideology en masse on November 8th, 2016, even madder at them, if that is possible.

The lesson which they should have learned through their defeat on November 8th is that you can not buy average Americans voters nor our respect.

They are not for sale.

It is time for the Leaders and MSM Minions of the Democratic Party, like CNN,  to suck it up and move on.

Americans have had enough of their National Temper Tantrum and unethical hypocrisy.

Throwing yourselves down on the ground in front of the Trump Train is not going to accomplish anything…except to get you run over.

And your political ideology and political machinations have fallen flat enough already.

Fathers Day 2017: My Wish For Fathers Day

happy_fathers_day_image

D-Day, also called the Battle of Normandy, was fought on June 6, 1944, between the Allied nations and German forces occupying Western Europe. To this day, 70 years later, it  still remains the largest seaborne invasion in history. Almost three million troops crossed the English Channel from England to Normandy to be used as human cannon fodder in an invasion of occupied France.

Among the young men who stepped off those boats, in a hail of gunfire, was a fellow named Edward, whom everyone called Ned, from the small town of Helena, Arkansas.  Already in his young life, Ned had been forced to drop out of school in the sixth grade, in order to work at the local movie theatre to help support his mother, brother, and sister, faced with the ravages of the Great Depression.

He later went on to help build the US Highway 49 Helena Bridge across the Mississippi River.

He was a gentle man who loved to laugh and sing, having recorded several 78 rpm records in the do-it-yourself booths of the day. And now, he found himself, a Master Sergeant in an Army Engineering Unit, stepping off a boat into the unknown, watching his comrades being mercilessly gunned down around him.

Ned, along with the rest of his unit who survived the initial assault, would go on to assist in the cleaning out of the Concentration Camps, bearing witness to man’s inhumanity to man.

The horrors he saw had a profound effect on Ned.  One which he would keep to himself for the remainder of his life.  While his children knew that he served with an Engineering Unit in World War II, they did not know the full extent of his service, until they found his medal, honoring his participation in the Invasion of Normandy, going through his belongings, after he passed away on December 29, 1997.

He was my Daddy.

Today, all across the world, Fathers will be honored by their children, natural, adopted, foster, and those that they took in as one of their own.

Did you ever wonder how this Global Remembrance got started?

There are two stories which are attributed as being the origin of Father’s Day.

According to the first tale, it all began in 1910, when Sonora Smart-Dodd of Spokane, Washington, tried to figure out a way in which to honor her dad, a remarkable man, who had single-handedly raised six children. Sonora, naturally, loved her dad with all her heart, and wanted everyone to recognize him for what he had done for her entire family. She made the decision to declare day of tribute, a Father’s Day, if you will, on her father’s birthday – June 19.

The next year, Sonora contacted the local churches in an attempt to get them to throw their support behind the celebration, but they simply laughed her off. After that setback, it took a while before Sonora’s proposal once again started gaining attention.

A bill in support of a national remembrance of Father’s Day was introduced in 1913. The bill was approved by US President Woodrow Wilson three years later. The bill received further support from President Calvin Coolidge in 1924.

This brought about the formation of a National Father’s Day Committee in New York within the next two years. However, our Federal Government, not exactly being strong in the pursuit alacrity, took another 30 years before a Joint Resolution of Congress officially recognized Father’s Day. Then, implementation of the bill was postponed another 16 years until President Richard Nixon declared third Sunday of June as Father’s Day in 1972.

The second story of the origin of Father’s Day involves Dr. Robert Webb of West Virginia. According to this version, the first Father’s Day service was conducted by Webb at the Central Church of Fairmont in 1908.

Around my house, we always thought that Hallmark and Walmart invented it.

Like you other fathers out there, I was asked what I want for my Father’s Day Gift, today.

The one present I want…I can’t have.

I wish that I had one more day with my Daddy.

My Daddy was the most important man in my life, and remains so to this day.

He taught me how to love others, through his actions, every day of his life. He was a wonderful Christian man, who led me to Christ.

He was also the bravest man I have ever known, landing at Normandy Beach on D-Day.

My Daddy worked hard all of his life. He worked for Sears for 20 years. He taught me what hard work was, and yet, he always had time for me.

I wish that I had one more day to walk through Court Square Park in Memphis, Tennessee feeding the pigeons and the squirrels with my Daddy.

I wish that I had another opportunity to sit on the living room floor at Christmas and play Rock ’em Sock ’em Robots with him.

I wish that I had another chance to stand over to the side on Thanksgiving Afternoon and watch him, as he played Penny-ante Poker, “cutting up” with my mother and my aunts and uncles.

I wish that I could hear him singing “The Old Rugged Cross” in the kitchen again, with his beautiful tenor voice.

I wish that I could watch him again, sitting at the breakfast table simultaneously looking through his old Cokesbury Hymnbook and his Book on Hymnology, researching those great old hymns and making notes, so that he could tell his 150 member Sunday School Class about the hymn, which he was going to lead them in singing that Sunday Morning.

I wish that I could watch my Daddy playing with my little daughter again, sticking out the lower plate of his dentures, as she tried to grab it.

I wish that I could see them again out in the driveway, sitting in his 1978 Chevrolet Caprice Classic, with her in the driver’s seat, as they waited for the school bus to pick her up for pre-school.

I wish that I could spend another Christmas Morning with him, to watch the fun, as he gave my sister her yearly “gag gift”, just to watch her jump and squeal as the “snake” or “mouse” jumped out of the box.

I wish that I could sit and watch Saturday Morning Memphis Wrestling and then, another Johnny Weissmuller “Tarzan” movie with him on a Saturday afternoon…or, maybe a Three Stooges Short, just to hear him laugh.

It’s funny, y’know.

I look in the mirror at 58 years old…and, I see him.

I look back over the years at the things that I did with the children that God brought into my life to care for, and then, I see the things that I’m doing now with my 9-year-old grandson, and I see my Daddy in myself.

Right now, in America, it is harder than ever to be a Dad.  Any male, who is not impotent, can sire a child…as is being proven daily across our country.

However, it takes a man to be a Daddy, a Papa, a Pop, a Pops, somebody’s Old Man, or, simply, a Father.

I’ve had the privilege of having a hand in raising three step-sons, one nephew, and one very special daughter.  I would not give back one moment of those experiences for anything that this world can offer.

I was not a perfect role model.  I made mistakes…a lot of them.  But, looking back, I know, in my heart, that I’ve made a difference in their lives. And, I thank the One Who Made Me for that opportunity.

I pray that I was able to pass along at least some of my Daddy’s Legacy of Christian Love to those I have had a hand in raising.

Dads…it costs nothing to pay attention….and give love.

Train up a child in the way he should go,

And when he is old he will not depart from it. – Proverbs 22:6

Daddy, I wish you were here so I could tell you how much I love you and miss you.

I hope you’re proud of me.

Every good thing that I am, came from the life lessons which I learned from you, and the Love and Amazing Grace of my Heavenly Father.

Today, while you’re up in Heaven, I hope you hug Mother and tell her,

That’s “Baby Brother”!

I love you very much, Daddy.

Happy Fathers Day.

Love,

“Brother”

ESPN Decides to Continue to Preach Liberal Politics to Viewers Who Tune in for Sports Entertainment

caitlyn-jenner-on-espn

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” – Albert Einstein

The following article appeared yesterday in the Blog section of ESPN.com

ESPN has issued new political and election guidelines for its employees that, while allowing for political discussion on the network’s platforms, recommend connecting those comments to sports whenever possible. The new policies also provide separate guidelines for ESPN staffers working on news and those engaging in commentary.

The timing of the release of the election guidelines is a bit unusual — such guidelines are rarely released right after a presidential election; they’re usually updated near the beginning of a presidential campaign. But we are living in unique political times, which ESPN apparently recognized, which explains the revised guidelines for discussion of political and social issues.

“Given the intense interest in the most recent presidential election and the fact subsequent political and social discussions often intersected with the sports world, we found it to be an appropriate time to review our guidelines,” said Patrick Stiegman, ESPN’s vice president of global digital content and the chairman of the company’s internal Editorial Board, which drafted the new guidelines.

Stiegman said no single issue or incident led to the change, but Craig Bengtson, ESPN’s vice president and managing editor of newsgathering and reporting, said the nation’s tense political climate did play a role.

“We have the convergence of a politically charged environment and all these new technologies coming together at once,” he said. “Based on that, we wanted the policy to reflect the reality of the world today. There are people talking about politics in ways we have not seen before, and we’re not immune from that.”

Stiegman said the new election guidelines are no longer just targeted at presidential elections. “We simply extended our approach to covering presidential elections every four years to major elections, in general, believing all the same principles should apply,” Stiegman said.

So what’s different in the new policies? Let’s start with the Political and Social Issues guidelines. Its first line lays out ESPN’s challenge quite accurately:

“At ESPN, our reputation and credibility with viewers, readers and listeners are paramount. Related to political and social issues, our audiences should be confident our original reporting of news is not influenced by political pressures or personal agendas.”
As I wrote in November, not all ESPN consumers — or employees, for that matter — feel the company has lived up to this ideal. Stiegman said that the buzz around the topic of ESPN and politics — also written about by The New York Times, Awful Announcing, the Orlando Sentinel and many conservative sites criticizing ESPN’s perceived leftward tilt — didn’t play a significant role in the revision of the guidelines.

The two most notable changes from the Political Advocacy policy are the delineation of guidelines between news and commentary, and allowing for increased political discussion on ESPN platforms, as warranted and connected to sports. This isn’t a surprising development, it’s just new.

“We wanted to err on the side of transparency and trust with our reporting,” Stiegman said, “but also give our columnists and commentators the freedom to discuss topics relevant to those sports fans who visit our platforms, even if the issues are political or social in nature.”

Here are other notable points in the Political and Social Issues policy, with my thoughts:

“Original news reports should not include statements of support, opposition or partisanship related to any social issue, political position, candidate or office holder.”

This one seems straightforward and achievable, at least within ESPN’s platforms. The one place on ESPN in which you don’t see straight opinion is on the hard news side of the operation.

“Writers, reporters, producers and editors directly involved in ‘hard’ news reporting, investigative or enterprise assignments and related coverage should refrain in any public-facing forum from taking positions on political or social issues, candidates or office holders.”

The three key words here are “public-facing forum.” That expands this policy beyond ESPN’s borders and brings the Wild West of social media into play. In fact, later in the memo, it is said directly that the policy applies to “ESPN, Twitter, Facebook and other media.”

This is where the potential for problems exists. ESPN news reporters tweeting political opinions from their own social accounts would technically violate this policy. Again, hard news reporters are less likely to use social media for this purpose than commentators, but how effective this policy is will depend on how hard executives choose to look at social media. Let’s be honest: It’s not too hard to find ESPN employees tweeting political opinions. Yes, much of that activity does fall within the new guidelines, which also note that those who do publicly express political views could be reassigned when covering stories. But the propriety of other posts is a tad murkier.

“Outside of ‘hard’ news reporting, commentary related to political or social issues, candidates or office holders is appropriate on ESPN platforms consistent with these guidelines.”

This is meaningful because, unlike the company’s previous policy, it states that commentary on political and social issues is OK. The previous policy not only didn’t say that but also conveyed a tone that suggested that dipping into political waters carried more danger than reward. Put another way, the new policy has gone from “It’s dangerous out there, so probably best to stay home” to “It’s dangerous out there, so here are some tools to best keep you safe.”

“It’s a more positive, proactive stance,” Bengtson said. “If there’s a good reason to be discussing [politics], here’s how we can best help you do that to best help our audience.”

“The topic should be related to a current issue impacting sports. This condition may vary for content appearing on platforms with broader editorial missions — such as The Undefeated, FiveThirtyEight and espnW. Other exceptions must be approved in advance by senior editorial management.”

The statement that topics should relate to sports is also new, though Stiegman left some wiggle room on that point. “We want to emphasize a direct connection to sports, understanding that’s the lens through which most fans view ESPN,” he said. “We also understand there may occasionally be exceptions that reference important, broader political topics. We just want to ensure those are thoughtful discussions, and meet the other criteria in the guidelines.”

Said Bengtson: “I don’t think people are turning us on to hear us talk about social and political issues. When we can make a connection with sports, we should do so and do it smartly.”

“The presentation should be thoughtful and respectful. We should offer balance or recognize opposing views, as warranted. We should avoid personal attacks and inflammatory rhetoric.”

What is a “personal attack” and what’s considered “inflammatory”? As with many journalistic policy questions, those are subjective. And in policies like these, that can lead to caution.

“There is always a layer of subjectivity in such areas,” Stiegman said. “Editors and producers will work with those offering opinions on these topics to ensure the dialogue and debate is thoughtful, respectful and as fair as possible.”

The changes to the Elections guidelines are far less significant (see previous policy here), but there were a few changes of note.

“All interviews, features, enterprise efforts or produced pieces involving candidates must first be approved by senior management. This is to ensure a coordinated and fair effort, and includes considerations as to location, interviewer, timing and format.”

The interesting note here is what was removed from the previous version of the policy, which said, “All interviews, features, enterprise efforts or produced pieces with a sports angle, including attempts at humor (emphasis mine) involving candidates must first be approved by senior management team.”

While this may seem to be in conflict with the guideline in the Political and Social Issues policy, I suspect the real reason it was deleted was to make sure employees understand that it applies to all political topics, not just those relating to sports.

It’ll be interesting to see whether this new policy has an impact. These changes appear to be designed to remind employees of ESPN’s invaluable and lucrative connection to sports while also acknowledging — rightfully, in my opinion — that sports, culture and politics overlap in ways that cannot be ignored. But, in the end, the effectiveness of policies is usually related to the intensity of the enforcement.

So, boys and girls, ESPN is encouraging their Sports Anchors to voice their political opinions…as long as their opinions agree with those of ESPN and its bosses at Disney.

Remember this story from one year ago?

Former MLB pitcher and game analyst Curt Schilling has been fired by ESPN.

“ESPN is an inclusive company,” said the network in a statement on Wednesday. “Curt Schilling has been advised that his conduct was unacceptable and his employment with ESPN has been terminated.”

The 49-year-old once again found himself in hot water on Tuesday after he shared an anti-transgender meme over Facebook, which he later deleted.

The meme opposed transgender individuals using the bathroom which correlated to their gender identity.

In a later blog entry, after the meme was removed from his page, Schilling wrote, “I didn’t post that ugly looking picture. I made a comment about the basic functionality of men’s and women’s restrooms, period.”

Schilling was previously suspended from ESPN’s baseball coverage for the remainder of the 2015 regular season and the wild-card playoff game after posting a tweet comparing Muslims to Nazis.

At that time, the sports network said Schilling’s tweet was “completely unacceptable, and in no way represents our company’s perspective.”

So, when did standing up for your beliefs and principles and speaking the truth become “politically incorrect”?

I am aware that political correctness has been around for a good while now.

However, when Barack Hussein Obama became President of the United States, political correctness seemed to become magnified by 100 fold.

For example, you cannot criticize Obama or any other Liberal of without being called a Bigot or a Raaaciiist.

CNN yesterday said that the news reports concerning Dr. Susan Rice’s involvement with the surveillance of Republican Presidential Candidate Donald J. Trump and his Staff were “racist and sexist”.

This seems awfully hypocritical to me, because all of the self-proclaimed Liberal experts on political correctness called President George W Bush everything but a child of God.

At the end of last November, Breitbart.com reported that

The Nielsen estimates revealed that ESPN lost 555,000 subscribers during the last month.

In other words, ESPN essentially lost the city of Albuquerque, New Mexico. This, coming on the heels of last month, the worst month in ESPN history, where the network lost 621,000 subscribers.

In the last two months, ESPN has lost 1,176,000 subscribers, a subscriber loss nearly the size of the city of Dallas, Texas. ESPN currently has just over 88 million domestic subscribers. In 2013, a mere three years ago, ESPN had 99 million subscribers. That’s right, in the last three years, ESPN lost somewhere in the neighborhood of ten million subscribers, the rough equivalent of the combined populations of New York City and Phoenix.

People in “Show Business”, and that includes Professional Sports, and the reporting of it, need to stop their self-appointed mission of spreading Liberal Propaganda.

As ESPN and Hollywood are finding out the hard way, average Americans want them to shut up and entertain us.

As I have written several times, America is still a Majority Conservative Nation.

Look at an Electoral Map of what happened during the Presidential Election of November 8th.. America is a Sea of Red, with little Blue Enclaves, up in the Northeast and on the Left Coast.

Hollywood and the Television Bigwigs on the East and West Coasts need to pay attention to which television programs and movies the American public are watching at home…and make more just like them.

Also, Americans tune in to ESPN for Sports Programming, not Liberal Political Propaganda.

Average Americans are more perceptive than Liberals think we are.

The more determined that Liberals are to force their Relative Morality and Situational Ethics down the throats of the actual overwhelming majority of average Americans, living here in “flyover Country”, who want no part of it.

Until the Liberals in Hollywood (and New York City and Washington, DC) realize that, they will continue to fail.

Just as their precious Democratic Party and the Presidential Candidate that they thought could not lose got their hindquarters handed to them on November 8th.

If this “standing up for what you believe in”, in the name of  “political correctness”, emanating from the mouths of “the enlightened”, was coming from the mouths of Christian Business Owners, it would be labeled as “hateful bigotry”…wouldn’t it?

From Watergate to Towergate: Even With Obama’s “Eavesdropping” and Obfuscating, Trump is Still President

all-ears-jpeg-sm

Early in the morning of June 17, 1972, several burglars were arrested inside the office of the Democratic National Committee (DNC), located in the Watergate building in Washington, D.C. This was no ordinary robbery: The prowlers were connected to President Richard Nixon’s reelection campaign, and they had been caught while attempting to wiretap phones and steal secret documents. While historians are not sure whether Nixon knew about the Watergate espionage operation before it happened, he took steps to cover it up afterwards, raising “hush money” for the burglars, trying to stop the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) from investigating the crime, destroying evidence and firing uncooperative staff members. In August 1974, after his role in the Watergate conspiracy had finally come to light, the president resigned. His successor, Gerald Ford, immediately pardoned Nixon for all the crimes he “committed or may have committed” while in office. Although Nixon was never prosecuted, the Watergate scandal changed American politics forever, leading many Americans to question their leadership and think more critically about the presidency. (courtesy of www.history.com)

And now, Foxnews.com reports that

Former President Obama on Saturday denied President Trump’s accusation that Obama had Trump Tower phones tapped in the weeks before the November 2016 election.

“Neither President Obama nor any White House official ever ordered surveillance on any U.S. citizen. Any suggestion otherwise is simply false,” said Kevin Lewis, a spokesman for the former president.

Trump made the claim in a series of early Saturday morning tweets that included the suggestion that the alleged wiretapping was tantamount to “McCarthyism” and “Nixon/Watergate.”

“Terrible! Just found out that Obama had my ‘wires tapped’ in Trump Tower just before the victory. Nothing found. This is McCarthyism,” Trump tweeted.

“Is it legal for a sitting President to be ‘wire tapping’ a race for president prior to an election? Turned down by court earlier. A NEW LOW!” he said in another tweet.

Trump also tweeted that a “good lawyer could make a great case of the fact that President Obama was tapping my phones in October, just prior to Election!”

“How low has President Obama gone to tap (sic) my phones during the very sacred election process. This is Nixon/Watergage. Bad (or sick) guy!” the president continued.

Trump does not specify how he uncovered the Obama administration’s alleged wiretapping.

However, he could be referencing a Breitbart article posted Friday that claimed the administration made two Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISA) requests in 2016 to monitor Trump communications and a computer server in Trump Tower, related to possible links with Russian banks.

No evidence was found.

The article was based on a segment by radio host Mark Levin.

However, the timelines for each seems to draw from a range of news reports over the last several months, including those from The New York Times and Heat Street.

Lewis also said Saturday: “A cardinal rule of the Obama administration was that no White House official ever interfered with any independent investigation led by the Department of Justice.”

Former Obama foreign policy adviser Ben Rhodes tweeted earlier in the day: “No President can order a wiretap. Those restrictions were put in place to protect citizens from people like you.”

During Trump’s Saturday morning tweets, he also brought up the ongoing controversy surrounding Attorney General Jeff Sessions and his reported 2016 meetings with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak.

Trump said the first meeting between Sessions, a senator at the time, and Kislyak was arranged by the Obama administration.

He then said Kislayk also visited the White House nearly two dozen times during the Obama administration.

“Just out: The same Russian Ambassador that met Jess Sessions visited the Obama White House 22 times, and 4 times last year alone,” Trump wrote.

On Friday, Trump fought back against top Democratic lawmakers who are demanding his attorney general’s resignation over past meetings with Russia’s ambassador — after pictures emerged of the same lawmakers in similar meetings, exposing them to “hypocrisy” charges.

Trump tweeted: “I hereby demand a second investigation, after Schumer, of Pelosi for her close ties to Russia, and lying about it.

To paraphrase the late, great Yogi Berra,

Is this “deja vu…all over again”?

According to Rush Limbaugh,

We are witnessing — right in front of our eyes — a silent coup to unseat and render effectively immaterial Donald Trump as president of the United States. The real Russian scandal is the collusion between Barack Obama and his administration and the Russians. Obama’s team used the pretext of Russian interference in the election to justify wiretaps and illegal leaks of the Trump team, including a U.S. senator and now attorney general. What has really gone on here — and I just want to repeat what I said in the opening of the hour, ’cause it wasn’t happenstance, and I mean it.The real collusion between our government and the Russians happened with Barack Obama and Vladimir Putin and the Russians. And just to reiterate, I want you to remember some things. Just ask yourself: How far back do you have to go into the campaign before you remember hearing that Trump and Putin were buddies? Remember when Trump is getting all excited about the fact that Putin was praising him and then Trump wouldn’t release tax returns? So there became a new narrative and that is that Trump and Putin are good buddies, and this could be very bad for the United States.

The way it manifests itself is Trump is such an idiot, he’s such a neophyte, he’s such an outsider, he doesn’t know things. He doesn’t understand, and he wants to sidle up to Putin just ’cause he likes Putin ’cause Putin likes him. You know, Trump’s such a sophomore. So Trump really poses a great danger because Putin doesn’t like him and Putin doesn’t like us and Putin is playing Trump for a fool and all that. So that gets the ball rolling that there’s a tie, that there’s a connection — a bromance, if you will — between Putin and Trump. And there isn’t.

The real bromance is Barack Obama and the Russians. That makes more sense ideologically, it makes more sense politically, and it makes more sense historically. We know that Obama has worked with Putin on the disarming of the United States nuclear arsenal. We got Obama on tape telling Putin’s number two guy, “Be patient with me. Be patient. I’ll have more flexibility after the election.” But Obama has turned this around, the Democrats have turned this around, and they’re now saying that it is the potential danger of Trump working with the Russians.

They used this “potential danger” to justify wiretaps of Trump’s team during the campaign and the transition, and this is what’s justifying this so-called illegal leaking. If the fake news were not so instantaneously and irrevocably left wing, the effort by an outgoing president to undermine his predecessor using intelligence agencies would be a bigger scandal than Watergate, because that’s what’s going on here. That’s what’s unprecedented. I mean, Truman and Eisenhower hated each other. But when Eisenhower assumed office, Truman went back to the haberdashery in Independence, and that was that.

Except, boys and girls, as we all know, Obama is way too vain and self-serving to do that.

Nope.

The former Petulant President Pantywaist has set up his Command Headquarters for his “Shadow Government” just a few blocks away from the White House and has even moved his “right-hand Iranian” Valerie Jarrett, into the house with him and “Mooch”.

Scary? OH, HECK YEAH.

It is all beginning to resemble a Tom Clancy Novel.

You have a Former Nazi Sympathizer, now a Billionaire “Philanthropist”, funding Far Left Causes. Add to that a disgruntled Former President, desperately trying to ensure that his mission to turn the Greatest Country on the Face of the Earth into a Third World Socialist Paradise is not derailed by the unexpected loss of his hand-picked predecessor to a “Citizen Statesman”.

Faced with the reality of a splintered Democratic Party, which has alienated its base by moving to the Extreme Far Left of the Political Spectrum, this Former President , while still in office, decided to spy on the one candidate who might actually have a chance to beat his own party’s lousy candidate in a fair Presidential Election, through the means of obtaining an order to wire tap his offices.

After that did not help and the Citizen Statesman became the President, the Former Petulant President Pantywaist, encouraged “rebellion”, as if the reality of a nation being torn asunder was some sort of “Star Wars” Movie, through the use of his “benefactor’s”(the Former Nazi Sympathizer) money in the funding of manufactured protests and a Media-Driven, Community -Organizing Assault, which includes the Former President’s own “Organizing For America” Website.

Not unlike the Bolsheviks of the Russian Revolution, this “rebellion”, with their willing accomplices in the Main Stream Media, launched a massive assault, through the dissemination of propaganda, manufactured protests, and Fake News, in order to somehow diminish the sitting President, in the hopes of regaining their lost power and continuing their mission, inspired by Karl Marx and Saul Alinsky.

Unfortunately for them, they have underestimated the power of the New Media and the resiliency of the average American, here in the Heartland, who stopped believing their lies some time ago.

And now, with the revelation that came out yesterday, that the Political Elite of both political parties knew of the specious wire tapping, this weakens the momentum of the Shadow Government’s Rebellion and strengthens the resolve of both the sitting President and the average Americans who voted him into office, against all odds.

Because, you see, boys and girls, most average Americans, out here in the Heartland, can smell a truckload of manure coming down the road at us from a mile away.

Foxnews.com reports that

President Trump is planning to outline an ambitious first-year agenda tackling everything from immigration to infrastructure when he delivers his first address to a Joint Session of Congress Tuesday night, the White House said.

The White House detailed Trump’s highly anticipated address on Monday, outlining what will be the president’s biggest speech since his inauguration. Press Secretary Sean Spicer said Trump will push a “bold agenda,” while another White House official described it as an “optimistic” look toward the next four years.

For the new president, whose opening month has been marked by rapid-fire executive actions but also a string of controversies, the primetime televised address is a critical chance to reframe some of the more contentious aspects of his young presidency – and reinforce campaign pledges that have yet to kick into action, like repealing and replacing ObamaCare.

Spicer said the goals outlined in Tuesday’s speech will also strike a balance on the challenges ahead, while reflecting a more optimistic, forward-looking tone that focuses on the “American spirit.”

Such a tone would strike a contrast with Trump’s inauguration address, marked by gloomy warnings about the country’s economic decay and rampant crime which he vowed to fix. The official said the same team of speechwriters who worked on the inaugural speech were working with Trump on Tuesday’s address.

Spicer also said the president would highlight “public safety, including defense, increased border security, taking care of our veterans, and then economic opportunity, including education and job training, health care reform, jobs, taxes and regulatory reform.”

Trump is also expected to reach out to Americans “living in the poorest and most vulnerable communities, and let them know that help is on the way,” Spicer said.

Trump’s young administration has seen its share of growing pains.

The president has faced sustained resistance from Democrats, over everything from his Cabinet picks to his border security plans. But other issues have drawn bipartisan criticism from some corners: late-night tweets; the rocky rollout of the controversial suspension of refugee and other admissions (actions on hold by the courts and currently being rewritten); the forced resignation of national security adviser Michael Flynn following reports of contacts between him and a Russian diplomat; White House leaks driven by infighting; and strained relationships with China, Mexico and Australia.

Trump has an opportunity Tuesday to refocus on his policy priorities.

“This will be an opportunity for the people and their representatives to hear directly from our new president about his vision and our shared agenda,” House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., said.

The White House official said much of the speech would be derived from so-called “listening sessions” Trump has held over the last several weeks with a number of interest groups, including law enforcement officials and union leaders.

On Monday, Trump laid much of the groundwork for Tuesday’s speech, as he met with governors and health insurance CEOs in large part to discuss plans to replace ObamaCare.

The Obama legacy legislation has been a GOP target for many years. On the campaign trail, Trump repeatedly promised to repeal and replace it during his first 100 days in office. He went so far as to claim in the last few weeks of the general election that he would consider calling a special session of Congress to repeal it – something that has not happened.

Governors visiting Washington, D.C., over the weekend and on Monday voiced concern about the future of Medicaid and its related costs, but Trump insisted that the current insurance market is going to “absolutely implode” and something must be done.

The president also announced a “historic” $54 billion increase in defense spending, alongside cuts to almost every other federal agency as part of his forthcoming budget plan. “This budget will be a public safety and national security budget,” Trump said.

He added that he wanted to better prepare the military not only to prevent wars but also win them when called to fight.

During a meeting with governors at the White House on Monday, Trump also teased a “big statement” on infrastructure. He told the governors he plans to boost spending to rebuild the nation’s roads and bridges.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., asked what he wanted to hear from Trump on Tuesday, told a Chamber of Commerce crowd in Kentucky last week: “A tweet-free, optimistic and uplifting message about where America needs to go.”

Already, the Democratic leadership has issued a pre-buttal and called out Trump for being “a lot of bluster and blame.”

“The first month of a Trump presidency is less of a bang and more of a whimper,” Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., said. “Not much impact.”

Schumer predicted Trump’s speech “will mean nothing if this president continues to do as he’s done these first few weeks – breaking promises to working people, and putting an even greater burden on their backs while making it even easier to be wealthy and well connected in America.”

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi also needled the White House, saying it had failed to deliver on its promise to create jobs.

“He has created a lot of jobs,” Spicer countered Monday at the daily press briefing. “I think that he is continuing to work with Congress on both repealing and replacing ObamaCare, tax reform and fundamentally both of those two items alone I think can help spur a lot of growth.”

While the traditions of Congress typically dictate an atmosphere of cordiality, there have been moments of outburst over the years that have hyped up the drama.

In 2009, Rep. Joe Wilson, R-S.C., blurted out “You lie!” during then-President Barack Obama’s address. The remark was viewed widely by both parties as disrespectful.

Michael Waldman, chief speechwriter for former President Bill Clinton, told The Associated Press that Trump could easily “blow up a speech” with just a few deviations from the text on his teleprompter.

Waldman added that opposition from Democrats could also throw Trump off his game.

Following Trump’s speech, former Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear will deliver the Democratic response.

Perhaps the Governor will address the poor behavior planned by his fellow Democrats for Trump’s address.

Heatstreet.com reports that

Although President Donald Trump won’t be giving a formal State of the Union address Tuesday night (he’s only been in office a month), Democrats are still planning on making his address to a joint session of Congress as uncomfortable as possible.

Each legislator is allowed a handful of tickets for the public gallery, so that interested constituents and guests can be present for what is typically the President’s most important speech of the year. Most often, those tickets go to hometown heroes from the legislator’s respective districts, people who have made the news over the past year, or those who have benefitted from the administration’s policy agenda.

But the power can also be used for evil: Legislators have been known to pass off their tickets to protesters—including perennial anti-war activists Code Pink—or to special interest groups opposed to key items in the speech.

This year, Democrats will be using their tickets as part of an organized effort to invite the families of illegal immigrants, DREAMers protected by former President Obama’s executive orders on immigration, and Muslim-Americans they claim will be harmed by Trump’s temporary travel ban. (A court has stayed Trump’s travel ban.)

Rep. Nydia Velázquez from New York is inviting an Iraqi man who served American troops as a translator, and who was detained for several hours when the travel ban went into effect.  Rep. Jim Langevin will invite a Muslim-American born in Pakistan whom he says represents the idea that “patriotism” is not the sole purview of Trump voters.

Since it would be hard to actually find an illegal immigrant willing to walk into the United States Capitol, Dems will instead bring several people helped by the DREAM act (which Trump says he won’t undo), and the family of a woman slated for deportation back to her home country of Mexico during a routine check-in with Immigrations and Customs Enforcement officials.

Sources in one Democratic Congressional office tell Heat Street an invitation was even extended to Meryl Streep, but it’s not clear how serious the invitation was (or whether it was even received).

In case you aren’t sure who is who, Langevin also intends to hold a press conference before the joint session, just to introduce media and viewers to the people on his subversive guest list. He expects 10 to 15 of his colleagues to participate.

In order to be an effective President, you have to build a Coalition. The most effective President in my lifetime did.

On July 27. 2012. John Heubush, Executive Director of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation, wrote the following op ed for The Daily Caller

“You’re in the big leagues, now.”

So the speaker of the House said to the 40th president of the United States just days after his inauguration.

It was 1981. The 97th Congress was a mixed bag, with a Democratic-controlled House, led by Speaker Thomas “Tip” O’Neill, and a Senate held by Republicans who, for the first time since 1953, controlled a chamber of Congress.

But Ronald Reagan didn’t think “eight years as governor of one of the largest states in the union had exactly been the minor leagues.” Sacramento had been Reagan’s beta-site where nothing was accomplished until strong coalitions were formed. “It was important to develop an effective working relationship with my opponents in the legislature,” Reagan wrote, “our political disagreements not withstanding.”

What did this adversarial relationship with O’Neill and Democrats produce in the next two years? Caustic gamesmanship? A stand-off? On July 29, 1981, less than six months after Reagan took office, a strong bipartisan coalition in the House passed one of the largest tax cuts in American history, the Economic Recovery Tax Act of 1981. Two days later, the Senate followed suit.

How in the world did Reagan do it? Experience.

Matching wits with Jack Warner (of Warner Brothers) as head of the actors’ union and Jesse Unruh (speaker of the California State Assembly) as governor taught Reagan to come to the bargaining table prepared. “I’d learned while negotiating union contracts,” Reagan wrote, “that you seldom get everything you ask for.” (Years later, the press asked him about negotiating with Gorbachev. “It was easier than dealing with Jack Warner,” Reagan shot back.)

Although the Democrats were in a tough position after the Carter years, their big trump card was that nothing would get done unless Reagan won over a substantial number of them in the House. It’s no wonder that O’Neill was so full of braggadocio.

Somehow Reagan had to build a coalition.

The strategy to get the Economic Recovery Act passed by a conflicted Congress had two major parts.

First, Reagan would use his tremendous skills as a communicator by making repeated televised appeals to Congress and the American people. “Every time he spoke,” Reagan Chief of Staff Jim Baker recalled, “the needle moved.”

Second, the Legislative Strategy Group led by Baker and Ed Meese “did the grunt work” of inviting Democrats to the White House, while the president worked the phones. “I spent a lot of time in the spring and early summer of 1981 on the telephone and in meetings trying to build a coalition to get the nation’s recovery under way,” Reagan wrote. At the time, he even noted in his diary, “These Dems are with us on the budget and it’s interesting to hear some who’ve been here ten years or more say that it is their first time to ever be in the Oval Office. We really seem to be putting a coalition together.”

These “Dems” — the Boll Weevils — were Southern conservative Democrats who became key players in Reagan’s economic recovery strategy. It helped Reagan’s purpose that many represented districts that the president had carried in 1980. If they voted against a popular president, it could cost them their seats in 1982.

“To encourage the Boll Weevils to cross party lines,” journalist Lou Cannon wrote, “Reagan accepted a suggestion by James Baker and promised that he could not campaign in 1982 against any Democratic members of Congress who voted for both his tax and budget bills.” It was a shrewd and effective move.

The task of working together with the Opposition Party is a lot harder for President Trump than it was for President Reagan.

This is a completely different Democratic Party.

The brilliant Conservative Economist, Dr. Thomas Sowell once wrote,

…Perhaps the most remarkable feature of the world envisioned by today’s liberals is that it is a world where other people just passively accept whatever “change” liberals impose. In the world of Liberal Land, you can just take for granted all the benefits of the existing society, and then simply tack on your new, wonderful ideas that will make things better.

Liberal Ideas always cost taxpayer money…and they never make things better for the average American.

President Ronald Reagan once famously said,

It isn’t so much that liberals are ignorant. It’s just that they know so many things that aren’t so.

A quotation which also helps to explain the Far Left Liberals of the Democratic Party’s gross overestimation of the popularity of Liberal Ideals among Average Americans here in “Flyover Country”.

Their immature, bordering on manic, denial of the fact that Americans voted for change appears to be a part of an alternative reality that the “Special Snowflakes” who voted for Hillary Clinton and who compose the Far Left Base of the Modern Democratic Party, seem to have transported themselves into, immediately upon hearing of Donald J. Trump’s victory in last month’s Presidential Election.

The pain of their frustration is so immense over Clinton’s loss that they have created a reality in which Clinton beat Trump, having won the hearts and minds of the American People.

Somehow, as is being shown in the paid protests and the political shenanigans being planned by the Democrats for Trump’s first address to Congress, their undersized medulla oblongatas and oversized craniums will not allow them to accept the fact that Americans completely rejected their candidate, Hillary Clinton, and their Political Ideology on that fateful day in November.

So, they have retreated to that alternative reality, where they can feed and ride their unicorns somewhere over the rainbow and where they will find rest in their “Safe Space”.

Let them stay there.

The men and women of this nation, after 8 long, arduous years, finally, once again have an American President.

And, Modern American Liberals’ unending National Temper Tantrum is not helping their cause.

Instead it is backfiring spectacularly, deepening the divide between the isolated Liberal Metropolitan areas on the East and West Coasts and the “Sea of Red” as found on the 2016 Electoral Map, where the majority of average Americans live.

The Democrats should have figured out, after that glorious night of November 8, 2016, that Americans are ready to move on from their failed political ideology.

We are ready to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN.

Until He Comes,
