Peter Fonda and a Roseanne-less “Roseanne”

While Roseanne Barr may be done at ABC, the characters she helped create are poised for a comeback. ABC has given a series order to a spinoff of “Roseanne” that will not include Barr, but will include the rest of her on-screen family.

ABC announced in a statement that it has greenlit a series with a working title “The Conners,” to air on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. this fall. Barr reportedly will have no financial or creative involvement with the show following her firing over a racist tweet directed at former Obama aide Valerie Jarrett in which she referred to her as an “ape.”

“I regret the circumstances that have caused me to be removed from Roseanne,” Barr said about the agreement she made with producer Werner Entertainment, in a statement provided to Fox News. “I agreed to the settlement in order that 200 jobs of beloved cast and crew could be saved, and I wish the best for everyone involved.”

Cast members John Goodman, Laurie Metcalf, Sara Gilbert, Lecy Goranson and Michael Fishman are set to reprise their roles. It’s unclear at this time how the family will continue without Barr’s character or how she’ll be written out. Deadline reports that “a sudden turn of events” will lead the Conners to face daily life in their home of Lanford, Illinois, in a way they haven’t before – without their no-nonsense matriarch.

“The Conners’ stories demonstrate that families can always find common ground through conversation, laughter and love. The spinoff will continue to portray contemporary issues that are as relevant today as they were 30 years ago,” ABC said in a statement announcing the news.

…As previously reported, Barr was canceled last month despite a series order for a second season of the revival, which picked up where the Conner family left off after the show’s original run ended in 1996. The premiere was a massive ratings success for the network, but ABC pulled the plug after some politically charged tweets from Barr topped by the racist remarks against Jarrett.

“Roseanne’s Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values, and we have decided to cancel her show,” ABC Entertainment President Channing Dungey told Fox News at the time.

Since then, rumors have been swirling that the network was hoping to push forward with a spinoff that would not include “Roseanne.” Fans and critics alike were skeptical about the concept of a “Roseanne” series without Roseanne, but it seems the network is betting on the supporting cast to maintain its ratings high.

On Wednesday, June 20th, washed-up actor Peter Fonda tweeted the following,

WE SHOULD RIP BARRON TRUMP FROM HIS MOTHER’S ARMS AND PUT HIM IN A CAGE WITH PEDOPHILES AND SEE IF MOTHER WILL STAND UP AGAINST THE GIANT ASS— SHE IS MARRIED TO. 90 MILLION PEOPLE IN THE STREETS ON THE SAME WEEKEND IN THE COUNTRY. F—.”

Now, he has since apologized, in an effort to save whatever acting career that he has left.

Fonda actually has a movie coming out titled “Boundaries”.

While Sony Pictures Classics called Fonda’s diatribe “abhorrent”, they have no plans to pull the movie, per variety.com…

“Peter Fonda’s comments are abhorrent, reckless and dangerous, and we condemn them completely,” the distributor said in a statement. “It is important to note that Mr. Fonda plays a very minor role in the film.  To pull or alter this film at this point would unfairly penalize the filmmaker Shana Feste’s accomplishment, the many actors, crew members and other creative talent that worked hard on the project.  We plan to open the film as scheduled this weekend, in a limited release of five theaters.”

Can you say “double standard”, gentle readers?

It is part of the stock in trade of Modern American Liberals.

Peter Fonda threatens the First Lady of the United States of America and her underage son and the only punishment he receives are harsh words from other Liberals who are trying to cover their hindquarters.

Rosanne makes a mistake on Twitter, calling Obama’s Chief Henchwoman “an ape” and gets called everything but a child of God and she loses a television show which she helped to create and to produce, which was getting great ratings in its revival for ABC/Disney.

I am sure that Sara Gilbert is ecstatic about ABC’s decision . In her mind, this will be the starring vehicle that will propel her to stardom, as it did Roseanne.

There’s just one problem: Americans are already familiar with Ms. Gilbert from her role as a co-creator, producer, and panelist on the Afternoon female gabfest “The Talk” on CBS and a recurring role on “The Big Bang Theory”. She is also a “married” lesbian, political activist, and environmentalist, who has written a book titled “The Imperfect Environmentalist: A Practical Guide to Clearing Your Body, Detoxing Your Home and Saving The Earth (Without Losing Your Mind)”.

The problem is…she is not ROSEANNE.

While I am certain that the Liberal Echo Chamber in the Halls of Power at Disney/ABC/ESPN sees that as a plus, average Americans here in America’s Heartland will not.

For all her faults, missteps, and loudmouth obnoxious behavior, average Americans had come to embrace the revival of her television show after 20 years because they felt that it painted a realistic picture of a family attempting to cope and navigate their way through the tough issues of today.

It also helped that Roseanne and her producer were both Trump Supporters.

Even Roseanne admitted that what she tweeted was harsh and she apologized for it.

However, as has been witnessed in the last few days as regards the “separated families” manufactured crisis, the behavior of Liberal Television celebrities and Talking Heads towards the 45th President of the United States of America and average Americans who voted for him and who support him to the day has been so over the top that it makes Roseanne’s tweet about Valerie Jarrett pale in comparison.

And that, gentle readers, is the main reason why a Roseanne-less Reboot will fail.

The majority of Americans will not want any part of it because of ABC’s perceived Liberal Agenda to oust Roseanne and the Liberal hypocrisy toward their own insults and vulgarities toward the President, his family, and his supporters, which the American Public has witnessed en masse nightly on their TV screens since before the 2016 Presidential Election.

As witnessed by the tanking ratings of the Liberal Cable News Channels, the American Public has had enough of Liberal Trump-Bashing and Political Correctness.

Evidently, ABC/Disney and Sony Pictures Classics are so insulated in their Hollywood Bubble along with the rest of the hoi polloi, that they are blissfully unaware of the backlash against them building up among average Americans.

They are in for a rude awakening…both at the ballot box and in their wallets.

Trump Signs EO, Dems Still Mad, Will Their Hatred Eventually Lead to Violence?

Okay. Folks, I’m just gonna say it here. If the media keeps this up — if they keep up generating this hysteria — somebody’s gonna get killed. What Rush is referring to is the sphincter-clinching, high-decibel hyperbole that has come over the last several days from the Far left Democratic Party, the Main Stream Media, and the hoi polloi in Hollywood.

In response to the release of the IG Report concerning an out-of-control Hierarchy in the FBI doing the bidding of the Obama Administration in an effort to keep Trump out of office and to get him out once average Americans elected him, the Democratic Party and all of their minions attacked President Trump over the separation of children from their parents once they entered our country illegally.

Of course, the practice originated under a Democratic President named Barack Hussein Obama. However, we’re not supposed to bring that up.

Turning on my local news yesterday morning, they were covering the latest hypocritical action by the Democrats against the president with sadistic glee, adding to an already half-psychotic lynch mob mentality among the Far Left, whose unbridled hatred for the 45th President has been growing steadily since the evening of November 8, 2016 when he ruined their dreams of a Hillary Clinton Presidency.

So out-of-control is the anger of these lunatics that washed-up actor Peter Fonda directed a vulgar tweet to First Lady Melania Trump, calling for someone to “rip Barron Trump from his mother’s arms and put him in a cage with pedophiles.”

Yesterday, President Trump decided to end what the Democrats started and signed an Executive Order calling for the children who crossed our border illegally to be able to remain with their parents.

But, guess what? The Democrats still are not happy.

The order Trump signed allows children to stay in detention with their parents for an extended period of time. It does not, however, end the “zero-tolerance” policy that criminally prosecutes adults entering the country without proper documentation.

Trump’s order came after he and other officials repeatedly said only Congress had the power to stop children and their parents from being separated.

Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., tweeted Wednesday night that the executive order “merely replaces one inhumane act with another.”

“In response to the overwhelming public outrage at his policy of tearing children away from their parents at the border, this administration thinks the appropriate response is to indefinitely detain families,” Sanders said.

The senator said he’s “hopeful … the courts will step in to rein in these unlawful actions.”

Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein, of California, shared similar sentiments, tweeting: “It’s extremely troubling that the president’s executive order would require immigrant families with children to be detained indefinitely.”

“This Executive Order doesn’t fix the crisis,” Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., wrote. “Indefinitely detaining children with their families in camps is inhumane and will not make us safe.”

Are you beginning to see a pattern, gentle readers?

It was NEVER about “the children”.

As I mentioned earlier, Democrats desperately needed something to take attention away from the IG Report.

Not only that, they want amnesty for these illegal immigrants so bad they can taste it.

They need more Democratic Party Voters because they are about to be shellacked in the 2016 Mid-term Elections and the 202 Presidential Election.

They have no Party Platform except “Hate Trump”.

This same hatred that has the Liberal Masses whipped up to the point of possible violence has absolutely alienated the Democratic Party from average Americans who now view them as holding our country back from a bright future.

The hatred for President Trump could lead to violence but they need to remember that they are still in the minority in America.

If they continue to ratchet up their hateful rhetoric toward President Trump and average Americans, just like the story of Moby Dick and Captain Ahab, the Democrats’ hatred of President Donald J. Trump will lead to the death of them as a viable political party.

This is 2018. Not 1917.

This time the Bolsheviks will not win.

Poll Shows Highest Number of Americans Satisfied With Country’s Direction Since 2005

More Americans are satisfied with the direction of the country than at any point in the past 12 years, according to a new Gallup poll.

The poll, which was released Monday, shows that 38 percent of respondents are “satisfied with the way things are going,” the highest number since 2005.

“The satisfaction rate, which Gallup has measured at least monthly since 2001, has now topped 35% three times this year — a level reached only three times in the previous 12 years (once each in 2006, 2009 and 2016),” the report says.

Gallup noted that the rise in satisfaction over the past two months comes amid a spate of positive economic news, including the shrinking of the unemployment rate and the continuation of an economic expansion.

Republican National Committee spokeswoman Kayleigh McEnany said Democrats are “running scared” from the strong economic numbers, because they can see that support for President Trump is growing.

She noted that some recent polls show Trump’s approval rating growing among millennials, which she attributed to young people who have been shut out of the job market believing in Trump and Republicans’ economic message.

“Democrats need to be scared, because those numbers are guaranteeing him a second term,” McEnany said.

But…but…how can this be?

I mean, if you watch Cable News Trump should be the most hated man in America.

Between the accusations of “Russian Collusion” and “Concentration Camps” and “separated families” on our Southern Border, he should be as unpopular as Rosie O’Donnell at an All-You-Can-Eat Buffet.

But then again, according to those same news outlets, Hillary Clinton should be president, as there was no way the American Voters were going to elect Donald J. Trump the 45th President of the United States of America.

If there was any doubt in your minds before, gentle readers, the past several days clearly show that the Modern Democratic Party remains consumed by their grief over losing the 2016 Presidential Election and their hatred for the man who is now sitting in the Oval Office, Donald J. Trump.

The Democrats put all their eggs in one basket: their fervent desire that somehow, someway, Robert Mueller could find some sort of impeachable offense against President Trump.

So far, Mueller and his team of Trump-hating Democratic Donors poorly masquerading as impartial investigators, are failing miserably.

They have handed down 2 indictments for “offenses” which were not even a part of Trump’s Presidential Campaign or the first year of his presidency.

With Mueller’s Investigation blowing up around them, now the Democrats are trying to sabotage Trump with charges that he is purposefully separating children from their parents at the border, oblivious to the fact that it has been a practice since Democrats held the White House.

However, the biggest problem that the Democrats face is the fact that the President is succeeding in fulfilling his Campaign Promises even though the Democrats and their Propaganda Arm, the Main Stream Media, have thrown every thing that they could think of at him, including Fake News Stories that they desperately made up.

The economy is booming, Trump keeps winning, and the Dems keep losing.

And, average Americans are loving it.

The fact is, the Democrats on Capitol Hill remain out-of-touch with average Americans.

They have learned nothing at all from their year and one half out of power.

For the Democratic Party to begin winning elections again, they are going to have to abandon the Far Left Political Ideology, inspired by Karl Marx and Saul Alinsky, which they have bitterly clung to as their “religion” for the past several decades.

The absurdity and downright anti-Americanism of their “Tenets of Faith” has been anathema to Americans living in America’s Heartland, the ones responsible for an American Businessman and Entrepreneur being elected our 45th President.

Those who sit in judgment of us average Americans like the Pharisees in the ancient Holy Land are going to have to climb down from their bar stools at the Washington Capitol Hill Country Club, and come home to visit us “common” people, attend ballgames, picnics, charitable public events, and even…GASP!…attend church with us, if they wish to represent average Americans in our Sovereign Nation’s Halls of Power again.

However, realistically, I do not see any of my suggestions coming to pass.

Democrats are too ensconced is their own belief system which states that…

  1. Americans are “jingoistic”.
  2. America is responsible for all of the world’s ills.
  3. The evils of American Capitalism are responsible for the world’s climate, not the God of Abraham.
  4. Perversion is perfectly normal.
  5. They ARE “The Smartest People in the Room”.

There are many more “Tenets of Faith” that the Democrats believe. However, for the sake of brevity, I will move on.

Years ago, the Democratic Party and reality took divergent paths.

Unless they can find their way back to reality, their political party is destined to go the way of the Whigs.

Considering their fondness for relative morality, situational ethics, and purposeful obtuseness, perhaps they should keep traveling the path that they are presently on…attempting to find something…ANYTHING to impeach President Trump on.

Their party’s slow, painful demise will be great for the Popcorn Industry….

and America.

Hillary Quotes Bible About “Separated Children”…No, Really

Average Americans have all known for sometime that this is not our fathers’ Democratic Party. Conservatives have been driven out and “Moderates” are an endangered species.

Today’s Democrats embrace a Far Left Political Ideology, in which there is no room for a Supreme Being…until they need to reference Him for political leverage and justification.

Hillary Clinton on Monday slammed the Trump administration’s “zero tolerance” border policy that has left hundreds of children separated from their parents, calling it a “moral and humanitarian crisis.”

Speaking at a women’s event in New York, the former secretary of state said President Trump’s claim that breaking apart adults and their children who enter the U.S. illegally is a law instilled by Democrats is “an outright lie.”

Her remarks at the Women’s Forum of New York awards lunch were followed up by a tweet on Monday afternoon in which Clinton said: “Every parent who has ever held a child in their arms, every human behind with a sense of compassion and decency, should be outraged.”

Clinton also took a swipe at Attorney General Jeff Sessions, who, on Thursday, cited the Bible to defend the border policy, and added that recent criticisms were not “fair or logical and some are contrary to law.”

“I would cite you to the Apostle Paul and his clear and wise command in Romans 13, to obey the laws of the government because God has ordained them for the purpose of order,” Sessions said. “Orderly and lawful processes are good in themselves and protect the weak and lawful.”

Clinton said that “those who selectively use the Bible to justify this cruelty are ignoring a central tenet of Christianity.”

“I’ve studied the bible, both the Old and the New Testament,” the 2016 presidential candidate said. “What is being done using the name of religion is contrary to everything I was ever taught.”

She invoked her own quote from the Bible — Matthew 19:14 — in response, saying that “Jesus said suffer the little children unto me. He did not say let the children suffer.”

Clinton added that former First Lady Laura Bush’s sentiments published Sunday in an op-ed for The Washington Post, in which she referred to the the administration’s policy as “cruel” and “immoral” and it “breaks [her] heart, are “absolutely right.”

First, as I wrote in a post published yesterday, President Barack Hussein Obama separated illegal immigrant children from their families during his use of ATEP.

So, Hillary is actually the one who told an outright lie, which is nothing unusual for her.

Somehow, Hillary and other vocal members of the Far left Democratic Party somehow believe that they can appeal to the Christian Faith of average Americans and somehow gain a political advantage in both the upcoming 2018 Midterm Elections and their ongoing effort to undermine the presidency of Donald J. Trump.

The problem with this strategy is one of their own making.

After President Barack Hussein Obama took office, he made a point of stating several times that America was not just a Christian nation anymore.

And, while that remains true to a certain extent, it is also true that the overwhelming majority, 75% of Americans still proclaim themselves to be followers of Jesus Christ. And even beyond that, 92% of Americans still believe in God.

What is amazing to me, though, is how American Christianity is still constantly attacked by Liberals such as Hillary on all fronts:  militarily, culturally, and even within organized religion, itself.

From illegal immigration to abortion to homosexual “rights”, Americans who follow the teachings of Jesus Christ on these issues have been under fire by Liberals, who insist that they know more about what is in the Bible and what Christ says, or would say, about these topics, then those of us who actually read God’s Word.

Claiming to be wise, they became fools. – Romans 1:22

When you enter into a Facebook “discussion” with these “new Pharisees”, and you counter their arguments on these topics with Scripture, Liberals are initially slow to respond.

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, – 2 Timothy 3:16 ESV 

Most Liberals will start “Googling” these topics, looking for any Scriptures that will substantiate their position.

There’s been many a time they have come back at me with Old Testament Scripture. It is then that I explain to them about the sacrifice that Christ made for us sinners, freeing Christians from Jewish Law and taking the punishment for our sins , creating a New Covenant by covering Christians through the shedding of His blood.

At that point in the “discussion”, there is a long pause, as they are trying to figure out a comeback.

The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.- 1 Corinthians 2:14

This misconception, which I have been trying to explain, involves Liberals’ belief that American Christians will not fight back against them and the things they want to do in our society.

If there’s one thing during all of the years of anti-Christian bias, which we have experienced during the Obama administration, and now, more than a year and a half after Christian Americans helped elect American Businessman and Entrepreneur Donald J. Trump as the 45th President, that the Liberals should have learned, is the fact that Christian American Conservatives will fight back.

It is funny though…that when we begin fighting back, the Liberals have a tendency to label us as uncaring, mean , divisive, and intolerant.

Liberals react that way because internally, they are having a kicking and screaming temper tantrum, because they cannot get their way…as the days since November 8th, 2016 have plainly showed.

For Liberal Democrats such as Hillary Clinton to now attempt to use the God of Abraham as a Spokesperson and Arbiter against an immigration policy which they created, in order to oppose the presidency of President Trump, after turning their back on God for years, is a display of hypocrisy that would had made even the ancient Pharisees blush.

In fact, their desperation reminds me of a passage found in the New Testament,

22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’ – Matthew 7:22-23

Hillary and the Democrats , as polls published the last few days are showing, are hurting no one but themselves.

They remain oblivious to the fact that one must always be careful…because when you point a finger at someone, there are always four pointing back at you.

Why Didn’t Dems Care About “Separated Families” Under Obama’s ATEP?

The head of the Department of Homeland Security bashed the media Sunday for their reporting on the increasingly volatile immigration controversy, writing in a string of tweets: “We do not have a policy of separating families at the border. Period.”

Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen added: “This misreporting by Members, press & advocacy groups must stop. It is irresponsible and unproductive. As I have said many times before, if you are seeking asylum for your family, there is no reason to break the law and illegally cross between ports of entry.”

She noted that no one is “breaking the law by seeking asylum at a port of entry.”

A child illegally entering the U.S. is generally separated from adults at the border if the child is in danger, has no clear relationship to the adult, or if the adult enters criminal proceedings.

Through Twitter, Nielsen reiterated that current policies are derived from laws already in the books: “For those seeking asylum at ports of entry, we have continued the policy from previous Administrations and will only separate if the child is in danger, there is no custodial relationship between ‘family’ members, or if the adult has broken a law.”

She added: “DHS takes very seriously its duty to protect minors in our temporary custody from gangs, traffickers, criminals and abuse.”

This push by the Democrats and their Vanguard, the Main Stream Media, to paint the President as a heartless monster is very hypocritical and disingenuous.

The practice of separating immigrant families at the border isn’t new.

The Alien Transfer Exit Program

The United States since 2008 has had a policy called the Alien Transfer Exit Program (ATEP), which detains male Mexican migrants near the border and, instead of repatriating them to their area of origin, leaves them hundreds—and sometimes thousands—of miles away at the opposite end of the U.S.-Mexico border. They are often released from custody at unusual times of day in completely unfamiliar areas where they have no family or other support system. The practice is supposed to deter further border crossing attempts, but instead it subjects migrants to crime and danger.

In 2011, the Alien Transfer Exit Program affected an estimated one-fifth of migrants detained by Border Patrol along the southwest border. That’s because ATEP ramped up under the Obama administration as a way to handle the spike in Mexican migrants attempting to enter the United States.

…“Under the transfer program, many immigrants who are caught in California are flown to Texas border cities, and the flights return west filled with immigrants caught in Texas. In Arizona, immigrant groups are divided, with some deported through Texas and others through California,” the Los Angeles Times reported at the time.

Federal immigration agencies have long claimed that ATEP “breaks the smuggling cycle by physically separating aliens from the smuggling organizations that will repeatedly attempt to bring guide them into this country,” but the program—called “cruel and unusual punishment” by human rights’ advocates—has separated families.

‘Lateral Repatriation’ Is Family Separation

While ATEP targets Mexican men attempting to enter the United States, the program doesn’t just nab men traveling alone. Men migrating with their families are separated from them, detained, and transported to an unfamiliar place in Mexico, while their partners and children are left to languish in detention centers. In 2011, during the height of ATEP, almost none of the reporting about the program focused on family separation.

The Arizona-based organization No More Deaths refers to ATEP as “lateral repatriation,” noting that the program often separates family members and purposely sends them to cities far from one other. Families aren’t notified of where each member ends up, leaving them unaware of where their partners and children are.

In other words, gentle readers, the Democrats really do not care about these “poor separated children”.

If they actually did, they would have protested ATEP under Obama.

Just like Obama used children as human political props after the Sandy Hook Massacre and Democratic Activists have been using children in school walkouts to try to achieve the taking away of guns from Americans, this sudden “concern” over the welfare of the children of those who wish to illegally enter our Sovereign Nation is nothing but a political ploy.

It is a plan born out of a Democratic desperation to avoid a Republican Sweep in the Midterm Elections by somehow damaging President Trump.

I mean, they had to do SOMETHING.

Mueller and his investigators have produced nothing but a big fat zero in their attempt to prove that the Russians got Trump elected President.

The Dems’ “Stormy” attempt to re-invent a porn actress into a saint fizzled out.

Their attacks on the integrity of the Trump Marriage through accusations of spousal abuse after Melania was under doctor’s orders to stay at home after her kidney surgery just brought the MSM more ridicule.

And, De Niro showing his hindquarters hasn’t helped the Democrats , either.

So, they decided to prove that they are the “Party That Cares” by trying to “protect the children” through staging photo ops of them attempting to forcibly enter the centers where the illegal immigrant children are being cared for.

Heck, if they actually cared about the welfare of children, they wouldn’t advocate for a million of them to be yanked out of their mothers’ wombs every year in America.

Oh, the irony.

My Wish For Fathers Day

D-Day, also called the Battle of Normandy, was fought on June 6, 1944, between the Allied nations and German forces occupying Western Europe. To this day, 70 years later, it  still remains the largest seaborne invasion in history. Almost three million troops crossed the English Channel from England to Normandy to be used as human cannon fodder in an invasion of occupied France.

Among the young men who stepped off those boats, in a hail of gunfire, was a fellow named Edward, whom everyone called Ned, from the small town of Helena, Arkansas.  Already in his young life, Ned had been forced to drop out of school in the sixth grade, in order to work at the local movie theatre to help support his mother, brother, and sister, faced with the ravages of the Great Depression.

He later went on to help build the US Highway 49 Helena Bridge across the Mississippi River.

He was a gentle man who loved to laugh and sing, having recorded several 78 rpm records in the do-it-yourself booths of the day. And now, he found himself, a Master Sergeant in an Army Engineering Unit, stepping off a boat into the unknown, watching his comrades being mercilessly gunned down around him.

Ned, along with the rest of his unit who survived the initial assault, would go on to assist in the cleaning out of the Concentration Camps, bearing witness to man’s inhumanity to man.

The horrors he saw had a profound effect on Ned.  One which he would keep to himself for the remainder of his life.  While his children knew that he served with an Engineering Unit in World War II, they did not know the full extent of his service, until they found his medal, honoring his participation in the Invasion of Normandy, going through his belongings, after he passed away on December 29, 1997.

He was my Daddy.

Today, all across the world, Fathers will be honored by their children, natural, adopted, foster, and those whom they took in as one of their own.

Did you ever wonder how this Global Remembrance got started?

There are two stories which are attributed as being the origin of Father’s Day.

According to the first tale, it all began in 1910, when Sonora Smart-Dodd of Spokane, Washington, tried to figure out a way in which to honor her dad, a remarkable man, who had single-handedly raised six children. Sonora, naturally, loved her dad with all her heart, and wanted everyone to recognize him for what he had done for her entire family. She made the decision to declare day of tribute, a Father’s Day, if you will, on her father’s birthday – June 19.

The next year, Sonora contacted the local churches in an attempt to get them to throw their support behind the celebration, but they simply laughed her off. After that setback, it took a while before Sonora’s proposal once again started gaining attention.

A bill in support of a national remembrance of Father’s Day was introduced in 1913. The bill was approved by US President Woodrow Wilson three years later. The bill received further support from President Calvin Coolidge in 1924.

This brought about the formation of a National Father’s Day Committee in New York within the next two years. However, our Federal Government, not exactly being strong in the pursuit alacrity, took another 30 years before a Joint Resolution of Congress officially recognized Father’s Day. Then, implementation of the bill was postponed another 16 years until President Richard Nixon declared third Sunday of June as Father’s Day in 1972.

The second story of the origin of Father’s Day involves Dr. Robert Webb of West Virginia. According to this version, the first Father’s Day service was conducted by Webb at the Central Church of Fairmont in 1908.

Around my house, we always thought that Hallmark and Walmart invented it.

Like you other fathers out there, I am asked every year what I want for my Father’s Day Gift.

The one present I want…I can’t have.

I wish that I had one more day with my Daddy.

My Daddy was the most important man in my life and remains so to this day.

He taught me how to love others through his actions every day of his life. He was a wonderful Christian man, who led me to Christ.

He was also the bravest man I have ever known, landing at Normandy Beach on D-Day.

My Daddy worked hard all of his life. He worked for Sears for 20 years. He taught me what hard work was and yet he always had time for me.

I wish that I had one more day to walk through Court Square Park in Memphis, Tennessee feeding the pigeons and the squirrels with my Daddy.

I wish that I had another opportunity to sit on the living room floor at Christmas and play Rock ’em Sock ’em Robots with him.

I wish that I had another chance to stand over to the side on Thanksgiving Afternoon and watch him, as he played Penny-ante Poker, “cutting up” with my mother and my aunts and uncles.

I wish that I could hear him singing “The Old Rugged Cross” in the kitchen again, with his beautiful tenor voice.

I wish that I could watch him again, sitting at the breakfast table simultaneously looking through his old Cokesbury Hymnbook and his Book on Hymnology, researching those great old hymns and making notes, so that he could tell his 150 member Sunday School Class about the hymn which he was going to lead them in singing that Sunday Morning.

I wish that I could watch my Daddy playing with my baby daughter again, sticking out the lower plate of his dentures, as she tried to grab it.

I wish that I could see them again out in the driveway, sitting in his 1978 Chevrolet Caprice Classic with her in the driver’s seat as they waited for the school bus to pick her up for pre-school.

I wish that I could spend another Christmas Morning with him to watch the fun as he gave my sister her yearly “gag gift”, just to watch her jump and squeal as the “snake” or “mouse” jumped out of the box.

I wish that I could sit and watch Saturday Morning Memphis Wrestling and then another Johnny Weissmuller “Tarzan” movie with him on a Saturday afternoon…or maybe a Three Stooges Short, just to hear him laugh.

It’s funny, y’know.

I look in the mirror at 59 years old…and, I see him.

I look back over the years at the things that I did with the children that God brought into my life to care for and then I see the things that I’m doing now with my 10 year-old grandson, and I see my Daddy in myself.

Nowadays in America, it is harder than ever to be a Dad.  Any male who is not impotent can sire a child…as is being proven daily across our country.

However, it takes a man to be a Daddy, a Papa, a Pop, a Pops, somebody’s Old Man, or simply, a Father.

I’ve had the privilege of having a hand in raising three step-sons, one nephew, and one very special daughter.  I would not give back one moment of those experiences for anything that this world can offer.

I was not a perfect role model.  I made mistakes…a lot of them.  But, looking back, I know, in my heart, that I’ve made a difference in their lives. And, I thank the One Who Made Me for that opportunity.

I pray that I was able to pass along at least some of my Daddy’s Legacy of Christian Love to those I have had a hand in raising.

Dads…it costs nothing to pay attention….and give love.

Daddy, I wish you were here so I could tell you how much I love you and miss you.

I hope you’re proud of me.

With IG Report #2 On The Way, It’s Time For Mueller To “Put Up or Shut Up”

…The clamor over the watchdog’s findings was the latest turn in the GOP’s increasingly hostile and preemptive offensive against Mueller’s expected report on the president’s conduct. And the furor is almost tailor-made for Trump, who throughout his career has clutched onto small details and controversy as weapons he uses to define his enemies and erode trust in institutions.

Particularly notable, from the perspective of Trump’s allies, was the searing criticism in the report reserved for the conduct of one of Trump’s most high-profile critics, former FBI director James Comey, as well as the revelation that lead FBI agent Peter Strzok had shown anti-Trump bias. “We’ll stop it,” Strzok wrote in a text message, referring to Trump’s presidential campaign.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said the report “reaffirmed the president’s suspicions about Comey’s conduct and about the political bias of some members of the FBI.”

On Capitol Hill, there was an outcry. Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., a Trump ally, said on Thursday he would support a new federal probe of Mueller’s special counsel investigation. “You’re going to need independent eyes,” he told reporters.

Democrats, as they have for months, sought to defend the sanctity of the special counsel’s inquiry. They said Mueller’s mission should not be attacked because FBI agents behaved inappropriately.

“None of this reflects on the special counsel’s work,” said Rep. Adam Schiff, Calif., ranking Democrat of the House Intelligence Committee.

Republicans, however, sought to use the report to tarnish investigators.

Since the Strzok text message had not been previously disclosed to Congress, a number of Republicans immediately asked whether the Justice Department had purposefully hidden that missive from them.

Republican Reps. Andy Biggs, Ariz., Matt Gaetz, Fla., Ron DeSantis, Fla., – all Trump supporters – sent the Justice Department a letter Thursday demanding that the inspector general turn over all previous reports to see if “people may have changed the report in a way that obfuscates your findings.”

So, what is the “mission of the Special Counsel and his “13 angry Democrats”, Rep. Schiff?

Wasn’t the Russia Probe formed to find evidence of Russian interference on behalf of the Trump Campaign in the 2016 Presidential Election?

Well, the House Investigative Committee has already ruled that there was no collusion.

And, Special Counsel Mueller has stated that President Trump is not a target in the investigation.

So, what is the purpose of the Special Council and his Lynch Mob’s continued existence?

Is it to find something…ANYTHING…with which to impeach the 45th President of the United States of America…simply because Americans in “Flyover Country” elected him as President instead of “The Chosen One II”, Hillary Clinton?

Or, is the purpose of the Investigation simply to provide enough interference so that Trump cannot fulfill his Campaign Promises and will be seen as a failed President, ensuring a Democratic Victory in 2020?

Well, considering the enormous success of his first 500 days in office, I think you’ve got about as much chance succeeding at ever of those as Rosie O’Donnell has of being on the front cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition (try unseeing that).

So, Rep. Shiff, considering that only a minority of Americans supported Mueller’s Investigation before the IG’s Report and one of his investigators is one of those FBI Agents singled out for possible legal consequences, and with the IG Report on the Russia Probe on the horizon, don’t you think that it is time for Special Counsel Mueller to “put up or shut up”?

Lord knows, us “rubes” out here in “Flyover Country” certainly do.

IG Report “Appearance of Bias”…Why Horowitz Was Soft on Comey

This could end up being the worst thing that could happen to the Democrats and their electoral chances. This is gonna rev people up and it’s gonna keep ’em involved and in the game as just another bit of evidence of why the swamp needs to be drained. Yesterday was a special day. Not only was it President Donald J. Trump’s 72nd birthday, but it was also the day that the long-awaited IG Report on the FBI’s handling of the Hillary Clinton E-mail Scandal was made public.

Per Gregg Re of FoxNews.com, the seven key takeaways from the FBI Inspector General’s report on the Hillary Clinton E-mail Scandal are:

1. New texts between FBI lovers Strzok and Page were ‘disappointing’ and cast a shadow over the integrity of the entire Clinton email probe.

2. Five unnamed FBI employees — including one lawyer who later worked on the Mueller probe — are under scrutiny for anti-Trump bias.

3. Investigators didn’t give a good reason for not pursuing laptops and cellphones belonging to Clinton’s senior aides.

4.  Despite Clinton connections, former Assistant Attorney General Peter Kadzik and former Deputy Director Andrew McCabe didn’t fully recuse themselves.

5. ‘Insubordinate’ Ex-FBI Director James Comey repeatedly violated policy and inaccurately described the legal situation surrounding Clinton’s emails.

6. Former Obama Attorney General Loretta Lynch made errors in judgment during the Clinton probe.

7. FBI agents’ actions surrounding the DOJ/FBI interview of Hillary Clinton were ‘inappropriate’ and created appearance of bias.

An “appearance of bias”?

Correction: a REALITY of bias.

There is a reason why Inspector General Horowitz was reticent to blatantly declare the existence of political bias in the upper echelon of the FBI:

As President Trump once stated, He is an “Obama Guy”.

Let’s look at the IG’s history.

  • He received his Juris Doctor from Harvard, where he was taught by the likes of upstanding individuals like Barney Franks.
  • Horowitz worked in DOJ from 1991 to 2002. In the early 1990s, he worked for former fired FBI Director Comey while the two of them were in the Southern District of New York.
  • He worked from 2002 to 2012 as a partner at Cadwalader, Wickersham, & Taft LLP, where he specialized in on white-collar defense, internal investigations, and regulatory compliance.
  • Horowitz was nominated by President Obama in July 2011 to be Inspector General of the DOJ.
  • He has been Inspector General since starting in 2012 under the Obama Administration.

Yes, gentle readers. He worked for Comey in the Southern District of New York.

That’s why he did not go after Comey as roughly as he could (or should) have.

And, as you read above, one of those who have been recommended for investigation, worked on Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Staff in the ongoing Russia Probe.

These “ties that bind” are most definitely not “blessed”.

They are corrupt.

As the rapidly escalating unraveling of the “Russia Probe” falsehood has demonstrated, the professional bureaucrats who served in the Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation in the Obama Administration were more interested in serving their bosses than in the cause of justice.

No only did they know of Hillary’s  cavalier treatment of top-secret e-mails, they also knew that she used the Clinton Foundation as her and Bubba’s very own “Laundromat”, “cleaning up” copious donations from foreign powers who sought favorable treatment from the State Department under Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

It is now very apparent that the corruption ran so deep in the Halls of Power during this time that they were all standing on their tiptoes trying to see above it.

It is also apparent that the DOJ and the FBI had no interest in investigating Hillary, as they were too busy playing footsie with Christopher Steele, Cody Shearer, and Richard Blumenthal in their mission to knock Donald J. Trump out of the Race for the Presidency.

While IG Horowitz did his best not to overtly condemn those in power in the FBI during the Obama Administration, he certainly did expose their corruption and political bias for all the world to see.

CBS Posts “Fake News” Story About Sarah Huckabee Sanders

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders hit back Wednesday night against a report that she was considering leaving her role, saying she “loves” her job and is “honored” to work with President Trump.

Sanders was replying to an earlier CBS News report that both she and deputy press secretary Raj Shah have considered leaving their positions in the administration.

“Does @CBSNews know something I don’t about my plans and my future,” Sanders asked in a tweet. “I was at my daughter’s year-end Kindergarten event and they ran a story about my ‘plans to leave the WH’ without even talking to me.” [as seen above]

Both Sanders and Shah are weighing future options, Fox News has learned, which may or may not include their departures from the White House.

Sanders has talked about departing sometime after November’s mid-term elections and although Shah’s timetable is unclear, it could possibly come sooner – although both could remain in their roles, too.

Sanders recently returned from a lengthy trip abroad with Trump which culminated in the president’s historic summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in Singapore Tuesday morning.

The daughter of former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, Sanders managed her father’s presidential campaign in 2016 before joining Trump’s. She was later promoted to White House press secretary following the July 2017 resignation of Sean Spicer.

Shah, who was promoted to the deputy press secretary position last September after working as the Deputy Assistant to the President and Deputy Communications Director, did not immediately respond to the conjecture about his future. 

So, Fake News strikes again.

The Main Stream Media has gotten so blindingly desperate to bring down a successful President Donald J. Trump that they have targeted his staff through the continuation of their strategy of publishing unsubstantiated lie after unsubstantiated lie in order to assuage their own still hurt feelings over their failure to aid lousy Democratic Candidate Hillary Clinton in her quest to become the 45th President of the United States of America.

The depth of their grief and the blind rage of their ensuing temper tantrum has, without a doubt, wiped out any vestiges of journalistic integrity that remained after decades of being the Propaganda Arm of the Democratic Party.

And now, Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders has to deal with their boorish behavior after hours since they can’t get the best of her in the Daily Press Briefings.

I can remember my late Daddy (Southern colloquialism for male parental unit) bringing home the National Enquirer, the Star, and even the Weekly World News from the grocery store , to read with his morning coffee.

Compared to the anonymous source-driven lies that have continuously been peddled by the Main Stream Media during the tenure of our 45th President, The Weekly World News’ legendary stores about “Batboy”, in retrospect, now seem like Pulitzer Prize-winning Journalism.

The good news is that the majority of Americans, no matter what the Democrat-heavy polls continue to say, are still not buying the B.S. that the MSM is selling.

President Trump figured out a long time ago will never be able to please the Main Stream Media.

Nor should he ever have to.

The Presidency of the United States of America is the most important leadership position on the Face of God’s Green Earth.

The Main Stream Media knows that.

The problem is the Main Stream Media refuses to end their conniption fit (Southern colloquialism for being upset over something to the point of insanity) over the election of Donald J. Trump by us “rubes” here in Flyover Country.

The Main Stream Media not only lost their meal ticket with the defeat of the Queen of Mean, Hillary Clinton, but they also faced the reality of being “punked” for at least four years by Donald J. Trump, who, for the past year, has treated them like a school of Largemouth Bass, baiting the hook with the promise of a big announcement or story, causing them to pack the room wherever Trump was speaking, only to find out that they had been used to gain free publicity for Mr. Trump and whatever cause he was trying to forward that day.

He also refuses to play nice with them when they slander him and everyone around him.

Trump has made the Media look tremendously naïve and stupid on several occasions, in scenes reminiscent of Lucy Van Pelt promising to hold the football for Charlie Brown to kick, only to pull it away at the last minute leaving a helpless Charlie Brown to wipe out, tumbling head over heels.

Please refer to Acosta’s asinine behavior at the North Korean Summit and the just treatment which he received from President Trump.

Additionally, The Main Stream Media are no longer in control of the dissemination of the news…and they know it.

Principled reporters, such as the late Andrew Breitbart and Michelle Malkin, turned up the heat on the MSM, by providing an alternative source through which Americans could receive news, unfiltered by those in the Halls of Power.

Unfortunately for the MSM , as 2016 Presidential Campaign and the first year and a half of President Trump’s First Term have shown, and as I have documented along the way, Americans have become our own “reporters” thanks to the “New Media”.

Americans are now living in a  time when the Main Stream Media’s blatant propaganda is no longer believed at face value, as the evidence which refutes appears daily through  live videos and photographs being shared on Facebook and other Social Media.

And, like the little Dutch Boy, the MSM does not know which hole to plug, in the leaking dam, first.

Just like the Internet Trolls, who invade Facebook Political Pages and Political Websites, in order to disrupt conversation and call attention to themselves, the MSM, through the creation of their own facts, has permanently damaged their own credibility, quite probably beyond all repair.

Because, to put it quite simply, once you torque off the American Public, you never get them back.

Just ask the Dixie Chicks….and the NFL.

McCabe Sues DOJ Over Firing Just Before IG Report Release…Squirrel!

Remember when you were a child and you did something wrong, like breaking your Mom’s favorite vase and when she asked you about it, you claimed that you did not know what happened?

A disgraced Former Deputy Director of the FBI and his lawyers are attempting the same strategy.

FoxNews.com reports that

Lawyers representing former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe filed a suit against the Justice Department and FBI on Tuesday, alleging that they wouldn’t give up files connected to his ouster.

McCabe’s lawyers claimed the Justice Department has denied access to the sought-after information out of concern that the documents could be later used against them, the lawsuit said. The suit also named the office of the DOJ inspector general.

“We don’t create or adjudicate under secret law or procedure,” David Snyder, a lawyer representing McCabe, told The Associated Press.

A representative for the Justice Department did not immediately respond to Fox News’ request for comment.

McCabe was fired in March just a few days shy of his retirement by Attorney General Jeff Sessions after it was reported that McCabe leaked a story to the press and later lied about it to former FBI Director James Comey.

His dismissal followed a report from the inspector general’s office earlier this year that concluded McCabe repeatedly deceived investigators. It referred the matter for potential criminal prosecution to the U.S. attorney’s office in Washington. McCabe has denied the allegations and said that when he thought his answers were being misunderstood during interviews with investigators, he tried to correct the record.

According to the lawsuit, McCabe’s firing came after “proceedings that violated federal law and departed from applicable administrative rules, standards, policies and procedures.” It noted that the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requires related documents to be produced for review.

“Defendants, however, have not disclosed those materials, whether proactively or upon request from Plaintiff as counsel for Mr. McCabe. That failure is contrary to law,” the lawsuit said. “It is incongruous with Defendants’ public, and repeated, representations to the effect that Mr. McCabe was dismissed from the FBI following an ‘extensive and fair investigation’ which was carried out ‘according to Department of Justice procedure.'”

McCabe’s lawyers signaled they wanted “immediate” access to documents including an inspector general manual outlining the guidelines governing the office and FBI policy guides on how disciplinary matters should be handled.

McCabe’s lawyers said they wanted the records as they “seek to vindicate Mr. McCabe’s rights and restore his good name,” and as they weighed whether to take more legal action.

Why should you have been fired, Former Deputy Director McCade?

Well, for starters a very revealing report was issued by the Department of Justice back in April, revealed that you misled investigators multiple times about your role in a news media leak. The report states that investigators

“…concluded that McCabe’s decision to confirm the existence of the CF Investigation through an anonymously sourced quote, recounting the content of a phone call with a senior Department official in a manner designed to advance his personal interests at the expense of Department leadership, was clearly not within the public interest exception.”

Also…

The DOJ’s April report found that McCabe authorized a leak to a Wall Street Journal reporter about the contents of a telephone call in August 2016.

“Among the purposes of the disclosure was to rebut a narrative that had been developing following a story in the WSJ on October 23, 2016, that questioned McCabe’s impartiality in overseeing FBI investigations involving [Clinton], and claimed that McCabe had ordered the termination of the [FBI’s Clinton Foundation investigation] due to Department of Justice pressure,” the report says.

In January, The Journal reported that McCabe knew of thousands of emails related to the Clinton investigation for at least a month before Comey told Congress about them. 

The day he was fired, Attorney General Jeff Sessions said in a statement that “the FBI expects every employee to adhere to the highest standards of honesty, integrity, and accountability.” 

About that whole “integrity” thingy…

McCabe’s wife, Dr. Jill McCabe, ran for a Virginia State Senate seat in 2015. The political action committee for then-Virginia Governor McAuliffe, a Democrat and Clinton ally, donated $467,500 to her campaign, while the Virginia Democratic party gave $207,788, The Journal reported. Andrew McCabe was associate deputy director of the FBI at the time.

McCabe “played no role, attended no events, and did not participate in fundraising or support of any kind,” the FBI told The Journal in a statement. “Months after the completion of her campaign, then-Associate Deputy Director McCabe was promoted to Deputy, where, in that position, he assumed for the first time, an oversight role in the investigation into Secretary Clinton’s emails.”

Even with McAuliffe’s help, Dr. McCabe lost the election.

A Former Presidential Administration weaponized the FBI and DOJ for the purposes of not only spying on , but also sabotaging the Candidacy and Presidency of Donald J. Trump.

These Deep State Operatives, loyal to the Obama Administration and the Democratic Party, protected both President Barack Hussein Obama and Former Candidate Hillary Clinton, while using both the Bureaucratic and Electronic Tools at their disposal to somehow attempt to keep Trump from Becoming President.

Having failed at that, they invented the fictitious Russian Collusion Narrative as both a distraction and an impediment, in order to prevent President Trump from fulfilling his Campaign Promise to “Make America Great Again”.

This “Secret Society” within the FBI, ensconced in their Swamp of Bureaucracy, considered themselves, as most of the Liberal Elite do, to be smarter than everybody else, “untouchable”, and, evidently, above the laws of the nation which they had sworn to uphold and its citizens whom they had sworn to serve.

And now, with the Inspector General’s Report on the activities of the FBI concerning their involvement with Hillary Clinton’s “E-mailgate”, one of those whose activities will most certainly be included in said report is throwing a “Hail Mary” Legal Maneuver” in hopes of distracting from the fact that he knows exactly why he was fired.

Just as Former FBI Director James Comey published a book and went on a press tour in order to attempt to cover his duplicitous activities, so is Former Deputy Director McCabe attempting to change the public’s perception of him by acting “innocent”.

Considering how poorly Comey’s effort was received, one would have thought that McCabe would have learned a lesson.

It appears that he hasn’t.

However, he had better “study up on it”.
