On this Sunday morning, I’ve been thinking about all the things that have been in the news these past few years involving children. Children are the most innocent and vulnerable of us all and yet the harshest things have been, and are being, done to them.

For example, per Google AI, “Massachusetts allows abortion at any point during pregnancy based on a doctor’s medical judgment, following a law signed by Governor Maura Healey on August 10, 2026. [1, 2]”.

While we are on the subject of Massachusetts and children, here’s a quote from Mass.gov, “In Massachusetts, you have a right to access gender-affirming health care, including access to medical services,
mental health care, and surgical intervention to treat gender dysphoria. Gender-affirming care can be life-saving, and whether you are a Massachusetts resident or not, or a young adult, minor, or incarcerated person – you have a right to access safe, affordable, and confidential care in Massachusetts.”

And finally, the subject of a trial that has been riveting the nation and got me to thinking about this subject …On January 24, 2023, Lindsay Clancy fatally strangled her three children, five-year-old Cora, three-year-old Dawson, and eight-month-old Callan—at their home in Duxbury, Massachusetts, United States.

After killing her children, she attempted suicide by cutting her wrists and neck and jumping from a second-story window, sustaining injuries that left her paralyzed from the waist down.

Now, after a mistrial, because a lone juror had the courage to say that she was indeed guilty and responsible for the cold blooded murder of her own children, defying the politically driven protesters outside and the sheep whom he was on the jury with, who were intimidated or falsely lead into believing that she was not responsible somehow, Lindsay Clancy may be set free or simply have to be treated for her mental illness for a certain amount of time, maybe.

I hate using Massachusetts as an example of the point I’m trying to make, but if the shoe fits …

What has happened to America?

Massachusetts is not the only state that views this sort of treatment of the innocent as being right and Justified.

We just went through two Presidential Administrations who thought nothing about this and encouraged a widespread advocacy of this sort of treatment of children.

Now, I will probably catch h-e-double hockey sticks for what I’m about to say from those who believe differently from me and the majority of Americans, but God laid this on my heart today.

Molech was a god mentioned in the Old and New Testaments. Statues of him featured the head of a cow or bull and the body of a man, much like the statues of Baphomet or Satan have the head of a goat and the body of a man.

Those who worshiped Molech would sacrifice their children, throwing them into a fiery pit. Of course, this heinous behavior was condemned by the Jews in the Old Testament and by Christians in the New Testament

The same evil that was faced in biblical times has carried on to this very day. From child labor to the inscription of children to fight losing wars to what has been happening in this sacred land we call home. Children have been abused, used to make political points, and sacrificed and mutilated in the name of greed, power, and political ideology.

Children are not a burden.

They are not a sacrificial lamb or a beast of burden. They are a Gift from God and this indefensible treatment of them must end.

“Children are a gift from the Lord;

They are a reward from him.”- Psalm 127:3
