Per FoxNews.com, “An Iranian official fired back Friday after President Donald Trump said he may eventually declare the Strait of Hormuz “territory of the United States,” insisting Tehran will continue enforcing its blockade of the strategic waterway.
“The Strait of Hormuz cannot be seized by tweet, nor by aircraft carrier, nor by issuing an order, nor by an election speech,” Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Kazem Gharibabadi wrote on X. “Iran neither fears threats nor cowers before displays of power.”
Gharibabadi then claimed the U.S. has suffered “strategic and heavy defeats” and asserted that “the Strait of Hormuz has been Iranian, is Iranian, and will remain Iranian.”
“This strait will only be closed and opened under Iran’s command,” he continued, adding that Tehran would maintain the blockade until the U.S. accepts what he characterized as the “reality of defeat.”
Uh huh. Sure.
Why is it that the enemies of the United States of America all want to talk big when they’re getting their cans kicked?
World War II had Herman Goering and Tokyo Rose.
Vietnam showcased our own domestic enemy, Jane Fonda, who is still running her mouth today.
Iraq had Baghdad Bob.
And, now that President Trump has Iran on the ropes and their economy sinking, up pops Kazem Gharibabadi.
President Teddy Roosevelt advised to talk softly and carry a big stick. President Donald J Trump believes in talking loudly and carrying an even bigger stick.
That drives our enemies, but foreign and domestic, crazy.
After the Obama and Biden administrations, the enemies of our country had grown complacent in their usual modus operandi of threatening our country and talking bad about us while expecting a payoff of some kind.
They are intimidated by a president who’s not afraid to stand up to them, so they talk even louder, trying to back up their empty threats, hoping that our country’s leadership will back down because of their false bravado.
Previous presidents have.
Not this one.
I heard Brian Killmeade say the other night that the Iranians know our election cycle as well as we do. That’s probably true.
While it is true that time is running out before the midterm elections, I don’t believe but that will deter President Trump in his mission eliminate the state sponsor of worldwide Islamic terrorism.
Just like the schoolyard bully, Iran is going to keep talking big until they are knocked on their can, again. Only this time, they won’t get back up.
And, as far as their “fellow travelers” and Democratic Socialist supporters in this country, Primary Election results are beginning to turn against them as Americans are rejecting their empty promises.
History shows that, as our enemies have always found out, you can push Patriotic Americans only so far.
Until He Comes,
