Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) is set to travel to Canada on Saturday for a summit with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney and other center-left politicians focused on “how to battle right-wing politicians on affordability,” as Carney’s government deepens economic ties with China and Canada prepares to receive its first shipment of Chinese-made electric vehicles.

According to Semafor, Sen. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) and former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg — both viewed as possible Democratic White House hopefuls for 2028 — will attend the event alongside liberal politicians from Europe at a gathering organized by the Center for American Progress (CAP). The report stated the summit’s focus is “how to battle right-wing politicians on affordability.” CAP President Neera Tanden told Semafor the meeting would examine “How do we fight the authoritarian right?” while arguing Democrats could learn from Carney, who moved Canada’s Liberal Party “to the right on some issues” and “surged in popularity.”

Breitbart News reported in July 2025 that CAP has received millions of dollars in annual funding from George Soros’s Open Society Foundations.

Separately, former President Barack Obama is visiting Toronto on Friday for a keynote speech hosted by Canada 2020, a Canadian think tank that says it promotes a “more just, inclusive and forward-thinking Canada.” (Courtesy Breitbart.com)

So, why are all these visits such a big deal?

What has been conveniently forgotten, thanks to the Democrat Mass Freak-Out over all the disastrous attempts keep President Trump out of the White House again, and the continuous 24/7 barrage of democrat propaganda on the Legacy and social medias, remains the fact that Barack Hussein Obama, the Former Petulant President Pantywaist himself, set up his Command Headquarters for his “Shadow Government” just a few blocks away from the White House and even moved his “right-hand Iranian” Valerie Jarrett, into the house with him and “Big Mike”.

During the first Trump administration, Obama was hard at work, sending his former Secretary of State to Iran to talk to the Iranians about their nuclear program.

There is such a thing as the Deep Dtate. And, Americans have every reason to be concerned about the undermining of President Trump’s policies, foreign and domestic. Here’s one last excerpt from my blog on September 3rd, 2018:

Unless Trump is able somehow to stop all of this Deep State activity from Obama and the Democrat Elite in order to bring to fruition all of his foreign and domestic strategies and plans, the will and wishes of the majority of American people will become nothing but dust in the wind and the nightmarish presidencies of Obama and Biden will seem like a cakewalk.
