Republican Senators Call for Pausing Next Week’s Leadership Elections…Will McConnell Get Voted Out?

“Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla. isn’t the only prominent Republican calling for a pause in next week’s Senate leadership elections.

On Friday, Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, and Sen. Rick Scott, R-Fla., reportedly circulated a letter to their Senate colleagues, imploring them to postpone the leadership votes, which are slated to run Wednesday morning.

“We are all disappointed that a Red Wave failed to materialize [on Election Night], and there are multiple reasons it did not,” the senators wrote in the letter, according to Politico. “We need to have serious discussions within our conference as to why and what we can do to improve our chances in 2024.”

…McConnell’s leadership legacy could be in peril. Former President Donald Trump has often criticized McConnell for favoring “establishment” Senate candidates, instead of embracing “America First” or MAGA candidates.

Also, a number of U.S. senators have spoken out against McConnell, questioning his methods for investing in certain Senate candidates — while pulling funds from others.

One prime example: McConnell recently caught heat for giving extra attention to the Alaska Senate race, even though two Republicans — incumbent Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, and challenger Kelly Tshibaka — were competing against each other for the Senate seat.” (Courtesy Newsmax.com)

The reason that there are Republican Senators rising up against Senator Mitch McConnel remaining their leader has everything to do with the less-than-perfect results of last Tuesday’s Midterm Elections.

The professional politicians on both sides of the aisle up on Capitol Hill live in a bubble, totally and purposely oblivious from the wants and needs of the American Voters who gave them their cushy jobs.

When Donald J. Trump came down that golden escalator, along with his beautiful wife Melania, a loud thunderclap could be heard emanating from Capitol Hill and Democrat and Republican Headquarters in Washington, D.C.

That sound was the sound of the sphincters of all the “Keepers of the Washington Status Quo” slamming shut in unison.

You see, boys and girls, Vichy Republicans on Capitol Hill have made a lot of money being “buds” (i.e. servants) with the Democrats.

Of course, they have never won Presidential Elections, but, why should they care?

They were getting filthy rich from all of the stock tips and other perks which came from “reaching across the aisle”.

They knew that Trump was going to change all of that.

He was not coming to Washington to make money. In fact, he was not even going to take a salary.

He could not be bought.

And, by the way, that is just one of the reasons that Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell, and the rest of the Never Trumpers among the Republican Elite hate our Former President so much.

He refused to take their money and play their games.

He would rather hold a MAGA Rally and speak directly to thousands of average Americans, that to attend some political soiree full of the Washington Elite.

But, I digress…

The majority of Americans want someone who will listen to and stand up for them.

They want Conservatives who believe in Traditional American Faith and Values and will fight against the Democrat’s plans to turn American into a Marxist country.

The Congressional Republicans know that this is true.

They also know that the support given to “Moderate” Republican Candidates by the Republican Senate Leader and his insults towards Conservative Candidates did not sit well with their party’s Conservative Base.

McConnell’s political strategy of “reaching across the aisle” and his embracing of “Moderate Politics” paint him as being weak and a “Vichy” Republican.

As the late, great Rush Limbaugh used to say,

“Conservatism ALWAYS wins.”

It’s time for the Capitol Hill Republicans to embrace the Conservatism of the majority of average Americans.

…and, start winning BIG TIME for a change.

Until He Comes,

KJ
