“Immigration Reform”, Vichy Republicans, and the Conservative Base

conservative1What is a Moderate? You see that term being used more and more, lately., exclusively among members of the Republican Party.

I believe that Moderates are wannabe Democrats, who are content to work behind enemy lines. Vichy Republicans, if you will.

They have been working within the Republican Party for the last couple of decades, slowly pushing the party’s ideology further and further to the Left of the Political Spectrum, until now, when the GOP seems to be just a slightly less radical extension of the Party of the Jackass.

The problem is, all of this jackassery is happening within the ranks of the Leadership of the Republican Party, while the base of the GOP remains solidly Conservative.

Think I’m crazy? Consider what is happening in the Senate, as I write this post.

Yesterday, a cloture vote on the Gang of Eight’s “Immigration” Bill passed overwhelmingly, with bipartisan support…even though the vast majority of the American People recognize the bill for the political shenanigans that it is.

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, a Reagan Conservative, had this to say about this catastrophe of a bill, and the tone-deafness of the politicians on Capitol Hill:

Just like they did for Obamacare, the permanent political class is sugaring this bill with one goody after another to entice certain senators to vote for it. Look no further than page 983 of the bill, which contains a special visa exemption for foreign seafood workers in the 49th state despite huge unemployment numbers in the American workforce. This is obviously a hidden favor designed to buy the votes of Alaska Senators Murkowski and Begich.

And just like Obamacare, this amnesty bill fails on every level of economic sanity and sane reform. It offers no solutions. It will barely slow the flow of illegal immigration, which means we can expect millions and millions of new illegal aliens in coming years. Sort of what happened when we passed amnesty in 1986 without securing our borders first.

According to the CBO, the bill won’t stop illegal immigration, but it will drive down wages for average hardworking Americans. These would be the same blue-collar working class voters of every ethnicity who chose to sit home in 2012 instead of turning out to vote in the swing states we needed to carry in order to stop Barack Obama’s promised “fundamental transformation” of America. I note this just as a helpful reminder to those who believe the hyperventilated new hype claiming that conservatives need to support this bill in order to win future elections. That’s 100% wrong. The crony capitalists in D.C. and their corporatist friends on Wall Street might think this amnesty boondoggle is a great idea, but the average American worker in our middle class who’ll soon see lower wages is the one left out in the cold, along with those hard working immigrants who followed the rules and are working here legally.

Passing this bill with an unsecured border and within a growing welfare state under Barack Obama is economic insanity. Have people already forgotten that our bankrupt government is running up massive unsustainable deficits every year? We can’t afford to pay the piper now, much less the trillions of dollars more in welfare and entitlements for the millions who are here illegally today that will be granted this bill’s benefits. According to the Heritage Foundation, the bill provides only a temporary delay in granting illegal immigrants eligibility for all U.S. welfare and entitlement programs. We’re looking at an explosion of costs in the very near future. There is no way to pay for the added untold millions of new enrollees in these growing government programs. Pass this, Congress, and Obama will have succeeded in fundamentally transforming America.

It’s time our lawmakers remember that we are a sovereign nation of laws. This bill ignores that, and ignores the will of the people. The continued porous border goes against what politicians assured us was in this mountain-high bill, and in typical D.C. style it flies in the face of what many politicians campaigned on. I heard their campaign promises. You heard them, too.

 Indeed.

If Republican Senators like McCain, his pet dog Graham, and their new trained monkey Rubio, are stupid enough to trust their new-found Democratic “friends” and sell this country down the river for the hallucinatory promise of new Mexican Republican Voters,  then I suggest that they wake up and smell what they’re shoveling.

In 2010, as a result of the passage of Obamacare, by the Democrat Majority of both houses, Americans stood up on their hind legs, formed Grass Roots Tea Party Groups, holding rallies featuring Conservatives such as Lt. Col. Allen West, Sarah Palin, and, this before-mentioned Benedict Arnold, Marco Rubio.

The result was a Mid-term Electoral Tsunami, in which Republicans regained control of the House, and made gains in the Senate.

However, since then, the Republican Establishment has turned their back on the Tea Parties, and the Conservative Base in general, showing their elitism by siding with the Democrats regarding such issues as the Debt Ceiling, Homosexual Marriage and “Immigration Reform”, i.e, AMNESTY.

As Sarah Palin herself wrote the other day,

As the Senate moves to pass amnesty, the only bright spot in this travesty is the rallying revolution we can look forward to. For just as opposition to Obamacare became a rallying cry for the 2010 midterm elections, opposition to this fundamentally transforming amnesty bill will galvanize the grassroots in next year’s elections. And 2014 is just around the corner.

The Republican Establishment had better think about which side their bread is buttered on. If they don’t, I hope they have a trade to fall back on.

The Vichy Republican Establishment has backhanded Conservatives for a long while, now.

It is time for Conservatives to stand up for ourselves and our country once again.

It is time for Payback. And, Payback is a…well…you know.

Sarah Palin/FNC: The Arctic Fox Returns!

palin-newsweekLast January, Former Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin’s contract was not renewed by Roger Ailes of Fox News.

Big mistake.

Since then, the number one cable news channel in America has seen their expressive numbers diminish, as, editorially, they began an ideological swing to Left of Center.

So, what do you do, when your ship is traveling off-course? You make a course correction.

In announcing her return to Fox News, Chairman and CEO Roger Ailes said,

I have great confidence in her and am pleased that she will once again add her commentary to our programming. I hope she continues to speak her mind.

Governor Palin will make her triumphant return on the morning show “Fox & Friends,” on Monday. In addition to appearing on the Fox News Channel, Governor Palin will also contribute to Fox Business Network.

It was a smart move.

Sarah connects with those of us in America’s Heartland. She was the bright spot for the Republicans during the Presidential Campaign of 2008, when she almost dragged ol’ Juan McAmnesty’s wrinkled rear across the goal line.

During that campaign, the legend of Sarah Palin began to grow, as stories of her jumping off the campaign buss to run into Walmart to buy Trig some diapers started circulating in Americans’ e-mails. Her leadership ability, along with her homespun honesty and forth-righteousness, are refreshing, causing her to standing apart for the G.O.P. Moderate Elite.

Sarah Palin tells it like it is, as theblaze.com reports

Comedian Bill Maher brought the wrath of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin upon himself when he reportedly referred to her special needs son as “retarded” during a comedy show at the Palms in Las Vegas on Saturday.

Former Las Vegas TV personality Ron Futrell claims he was escorted out of the event after he confronted Maher several times during the show at some point after the tasteless joke about Trig Palin.

“I’ve got a son with special needs,” Futrell told the Review-Journal. “It didn’t surprise me that Maher said it. It surprised me that a lot of people laughed at that joke.”

After learning about Maher’s so-called “joke,” Palin went after Maher on Twitter.

“Hey bully, on behalf of all kids whom you hatefully mock in order to make yourself feel big, I hope one flattens your lily white wimpy a#*,” Palin wrote.

“I’m in your neck of the woods this weekend, little Bill. Care to meet so I can tell you how I really feel?” she added.

Something tells us Maher won’t accept Palin’s invitation.

I enjoy hanging out on the internet chat boards, reading the messages of Liberals and Moderates alike, as their heads explode over the Former Alaskan Governor.

The great thing is, that doesn’t phase her at all.

Back in March, she spoke to the annual CPAC Convention, her speech was wonderful, and sounded like it came straight from the Heartland of America.

At the time, I wrote,

… it struck me, while at lunch with friends, after church on Sunday, just how disconnected the professional politicians, pundits, and prevaricators (but, I repeat myself) up in the Beltway are from all of us average citizens out here in America’s Heartland.

I guess what really triggered this revelation was remembering Sarah Palin’s speech from CPAC’s Saturday Session, in which she spoke just like you or me, having a political discussion with our friends and family. She was bringing up some spot-on political points, when, all of the sudden, she got a mischievous smile on her face and began telling the audience how Todd gave her a wonderful gift the Christmas before last: a gun rack for her ATV. She talked about how cool it was, and then told the crowd that, for this Christmas, she gave Todd a new hunting rifle. She quipped,

Yep, Todd got the rifle and I got the rack.

pailinbiggulp2As the stunned audience quickly broke out in thunderous laughter and applause, Sarah stood there, grinning like the Cheshire Cat, while, at the same time, reaching under the podium to retrieve a 44-ounce Super Big Gulp Diet Coke, which she slowly sipped from, still grinning, then holding it over her head , imitating Lady Liberty holding her torch. The picture of this seminal moment has since gone viral, much to the chagrin of Liberals, on both sides of the political aisle, whose heads have been exploding, like balloons which have blown up beyond their usefulness.

Beltway politicians and Pundits live in a bubble.  They have disassociated themselves from the common people.  The only time the Beltway Elite Republicans seem to pay attention to the wishes of Americans in the Heartland is when we melt the Congressional Phone Lines down and threaten their well-paying jobs.

That’s why the rise of the Tea Party movement and America’s return to Conservatism, which resulted in the political massacre known as the Midterm Elections, was such a surprise to them.  In their self-imposed isolation, they actually thought that the America people wanted them to continue their deal-making, soul-selling, business-as-usual politics.

That is why voices like Governor Palin’s are needed…to let the stale, stodgy Beltway Dwellers know that they are out-of-touch with Americans in the Heartland…you and me.

Sarah Palin reminds the leeches of us…the people whom they are supposed to be serving.

And, that is why her voice is important.

Welcome back, Sarah. We’ve missed you.

Until He Comes,

Storm Clouds Surround Sebelius

sebilius kissing obamaHealth and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius finds herself at the center of two controversies today, as the truth about the Obama Administration slowly bubbles to the surface.

On May 13, 2013, wsj.com posted the following article…

Leaders in Congress are questioning Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius’s solicitation of funds from private businesses and charities to help pay for public outreach on Obamacare to get prospective enrollees signed up for health exchanges.

Sen. Lamar Alexander of Tennessee, ranking Republican on the Senate Health committee, told the New York Times he plans to ask the Government Accountability Office to check the legality of Sebelius’s actions, done after Congress denied the administration funds for public outreach in the 2014 budget. The Washington Post also said that Utah Sen. Orrin Hatch, top Republican on the Finance Committee, questioned the legality of the action.

The Times said Sebelius obtained $10 million from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and $500,000 from H&R Block for the effort. HHS officials said that Sebelius’s efforts would continue, after first denying they were soliciting funds for the effort. But a spokesman for Sebelius said a section of the Public Health Service Act allows her to encourage others to support those working to help carry out public health activities.

Sebelius reportedly has sought donations for Enroll America, a private non-profit group that is working to get the uninsured covered under the 2010 health-care law.

While that issue continues to percolate, Secretary Sebelius finds herself in the middle of another controversy.

Politico.com reports…

The plight of a dying 10-year-old girl in urgent need of a lung transplant has been taken up by some GOP lawmakers, and it’s shining a light on what critics say is a questionable policy that puts children further down the waiting list.

The family of the Pennsylvania girl, Sarah Murnaghan, has garnered the media spotlight, on cable news and in other outlets. And some GOP congressmen have joined the fray, quite literally “begging” HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius to intervene and save the girl’s life. Both Pennsylvania senators — a Democrat and a Republican — have also written on the child’s behalf.

“I’m begging you,” Rep. Lou Barletta (R-Pa.) told Sebelius at a House hearing Tuesday morning, asking her to suspend the transplant rules until they can be revisited. “Sarah has three to five weeks to live. Time is running out.” The child has cystic fibrosis.

At the hearing, Sebelius called the situation “agonizing” and said she had talked to the girl’s mother. She has ordered a review of the policy, which she acknowledged would take too long to have any impact on this girl’s situation, but said it wasn’t her place to pick and choose transplant recipients.

“I can’t imagine anything worse than one individual getting to pick who lives and who dies,” she said. Sebelius said putting Sarah next in line would disadvantage other young people who have also been waiting for transplants — including three in the same area. Helping one child could possibly hurt another.

Some experts agree that the lung allocation policy may need to be revisited; it has been for kidney and liver transplants. But they say no snap decisions should be made because of the media glare.

Remember when Sarah Palin warned Americans about the Death Panels that were coming with Obamacare?

As more Americans delve into the disturbing details of the nationalized health care plan that the current administration is rushing through Congress, our collective jaw is dropping, and we’re saying not just no, but hell no!

The Democrats promise that a government health care system will reduce the cost of health care, but as the economist Thomas Sowell has pointed out, government health care will not reduce the cost; it will simply refuse to pay the cost. And who will suffer the most when they ration care? The sick, the elderly, and the disabled, of course. The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama’s “death panel” so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their “level of productivity in society,” whether they are worthy of health care. Such a system is downright evil.

Health care by definition involves life and death decisions. Human rights and human dignity must be at the center of any health care discussion.

That was posted on her Facebook Page on August 7, 2009. Yesterday, on her Facebook Page, Former Governor Palin wrote

The government will bend the rules left and right to harass targeted taxpayers, conservative patriots, selected journalists, etc., but it will strictly exercise inconsistent and subjective rules to deny a child a shot at life. And they called us liars when we spoke of “death panels” – faceless bureaucrats coming between you and your doctor to make life and death decisions about a loved one’s survival. It doesn’t sound so far fetched anymore, does it? – Sarah Palin

No, ma’am. It most certainly doesn’t.

Sec. Sebelius once remarked,

A healthy state encourages many voices – and lots of listening.

What she didn’t mention was the cold condescension and callous dismissal that follows “lots of listening”.

The members of this corrupt Administration have forgotten that they serve at our pleasure. It is time to remind them.

And, please…remember Sarah and her family in your prayers.

The Benghazi Hearings: The Media Should Be Ashamed of Themselves

benghazigate cartoon 5813While I was at work yesterday, I was also keeping up with the House Oversight Committee Hearings concerning the murder of 4 brave Americans at the Embassy Compound in Benghazi, Libya, on September 11, 2012 by Barbaric Muslim Terrorists.

Here in America’s Heartland, the general consensus is that the witnesses who appeared yesterday are brave men in their own right, for coming forth.

The day definitely went to the House Republicans, who asked all the right questions, while their Democrat Colleagues came off looking like a bunch of braying jackasses.

Besides the political chicanery which was revealed yesterday involving Secretary of State Clinton and her lawyer, Ms. Mills, the other big story of the day was the intentional Main Stream Media Blackout of the Hearings themselves…a blatant attempt to keep the American public from learning the truth of that terrible day.

Former Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin posted on her Facebook Page yesterday,

Is there any wonder why distrust of arrogant, out-of-touch media is at an all-time high? During today’s Benghazi hearings, the Washington Post actually tweeted: “Who’s tweeting about Benghazi? Rich, middle-aged men and Chick-fil-A lovers.” This would be the same Washington Post that broke the story on Watergate. Now they just mock concerned Americans who want answers to why four brave Americans died, including two distinguished vets. And the Obama administration asks, “What does it matter?”

As I have related in the past, I took some Journalism courses in college, to go along with my major in Radio, TV, and Film.

In a course in Broadcast Journalism, I received the top grade in both classes, which my instructor taught, on an investigative research project. In the middle of the Iranian Hostage crisis, I found out that the Black Radical, Stokely Carmichael, whom the Black Student Association was bringing in to speak, had been brought in two years previously by the Iranian Student Association. That instructor, by the way, was a former CBS News Writer/Producer.

It’s funny, though. I remember this guy cautioning us to remain objective in our reporting.

Ironic, considering CBS News’ blackout of the Hearings, yesterday.

Yesterday, Rush Limbaugh said on his radio program:

…here we are months and months later. We have career diplomats choking up, retelling a story that was of no interest to their commander-in-chief, no interest to the secretary of state, who did nothing to help these people. In fact, the next day the commander-in-chief gets up — after being out of touch for five or seven hours, nobody knew where he was — and he jets off to Las Vegas.

These are people that battled terrorists on the battlefield, at our consulate. They got nothing from the guy who put ’em in harm’s way, and now they’re up telling the story. Their testimony, so far, is unfiltered and uninterrupted. It’s powerful, it’s devastating, it’s tragic. Then the Democrats get hold of it after they finish and do their best to discount it, discredit it. But after watching a little bit of this, I understand why some Democrats are worried about this.

If the media picked up on this and actually made this a cause like they did Watergate, it would be a whole different dynamic. I can’t forget Hillary telling those people in that hangar — wherever it was, Dover, Andrews Air Force Base — when the bodies came back, over the flag-draped coffins, “We’ll get the guy who did that video.” She was straight-face lying to them about why their family members died.

“We’ll get the guy in the video.”

We live in an upside-down world, folks. We really do.

…Nobody cares about any of this stuff but us. In fact, we are being called purists and problematic because we care about this because we are being so rigid, we’re making it impossible for people to see that the Republicans are flexible and adaptable and all that. We are making it impossible for the Republicans to ever win. Because we care about this. This is insignificant. This doesn’t matter. Nobody cares about this. Other than the families, other than the witnesses, other than the Republicans on the committee and five or six other people, nobody cares about it. We live in an upside down world. The challenge we all have here, folks, is staying emotionally and physically well in the middle of all this, because we live in a world where nothing makes any sense, and where it appears that everything that was the glue that held this country together is vanishing.

While I believe Rush is right, as he usually is, I also believe that, just like the Gosnell Case, if we average Americans holler loud and long enough, eventually the Main Stream Media will HAVE to cover the story.

The problem is, of course, the Liberals own and operate the Main Stream Media. So, therefore, their attitude toward covering the Hearings is to minimize their importance, just as the rest of their Liberal brethren, in our nation’s capital, are trying to do.

Lt. Col. Allen West, as he is wont to do, summed up the Obama Administration’s deflection and obfuscation of Benghazigate quite nicely,

I’ve been watching the Benghazi hearings and just find it amazing that we even have to have a hearing on something so blatantly clear. This was a terrorist attack that we were told was about a video and we hung Americans out to die. Yet, no one is responsible, just move along, nothing to see here, wasting time. This had nothing to do with funding, it had everything to do with failure….oh, what the heck, let’s all just go to Las Vegas for a fundraiser.

Jim Morrison, the lead singer of the 60s iconic rock band, the Doors, once said,

Whoever controls the media, controls the mind.

In 2013 America, Liberals have control of our Media…and that’s why we have so many Low Information Voters.

The Main Stream Media’s Journalistic Mission is to perpetuate the blissful ignorance of the low information voters in order to protect the Liberal President of the United States.

And, for that chilling fact, which led to yesterday’s blackout of the Benghazi Hearings, they should be truly ashamed.

But, being shameless, hive-mind Liberals, they aren’t.

Sarah Palin: The Re-emergence of the Arctic Fox

pailinbiggulp2I remember when I first heard the name “Sarah Palin”. I was listening to Glenn Beck on the radio, while he speculated about the possible Vice-Presidential Candidates to run with John McCain on the Republican Ticket in 2008.

I said to myself,

Self, who is that? Sarah Who from where?

Now, almost 6 years later, there is no one in the United States who does not know who she is and what she stands for.

Back in July of 2009, Alaskan Fisherman, Dewey Whetsell, wrote the following list of her accomplishments.

1. Democrats forget when Palin was the Darling of the Democrats, because as soon as Palin took the Governor’s office away from a fellow Republican and tough SOB, Frank Murkowski, she tore into the Republican’s “Corrupt Bastards Club” (CBC) and sent them packing. Many of them are now residing in State housing and wearing orange jump suits The Democratsreacted by skipping around the yard, throwing confetti and singing, “la la la la” (well, you know how they are). Name another governor in this country that has ever done anything similar.

2. Now with the CBC gone, there were fewer Alaskan politicians to protect the huge, giant oil companies here. So she constructed and enacted a new system of splitting the oil profits called “ACES.” Exxon (the biggest corporation in the world) protested and Sarah told them, “don’t let the door hit you in the stern on your way out.” They stayed, and Alaska residents went from being merely wealthy to being filthy rich. Of course, the other huge international oil companies meekly fell in line. Again, give me the name of any other governor in the country that has done anything similar.

3. The other thing she did when she walked into the governor’s office is she got the list of State requests for federal funding for projects, known as “pork.” She went through the list, took 85% of them and placed them in the “when-hell-freezes-over” stack. She let locals know that if we need something built, we’ll pay for it ourselves. Maybe she figured she could use the money she got from selling the previous governor’s jet because it was extravagant.

Maybe she could use the money she saved by dismissing the governor’s cook (remarking that she could cook for her own family), giving back the State vehicle issued to her, maintaining that she already had a car, and dismissing her State provided security force (never mentioning – I imagine – that she’s packing heat herself). I’m still waiting to hear the names of those other governors.

4. Now, even with her much-ridiculed “gosh and golly” mannerism, she also managed to put together a totally new approach to getting a natural gas pipeline built which will be the biggest private construction project in the history of North America. No one else could do it although they tried. If that doesn’t impress you, then you’re trying too hard to be unimpressed while watching her do things like this while baking up a batch of brownies with her other hand.

5. For 30 years, Exxon held a lease to do exploratory drilling at a place called Point Thompson. They made excuses the entire time why they couldn’t start drilling. In truth they were holding it like an investment. No governor for 30 years could make them get started. Then, she told them she was revoking their lease and kicking them out. They protested and threatened court action. She shrugged and reminded them that she knew the way to the court house. Alaska won again.

6. President Obama wants the nation to be on 25% renewable resources for electricity by 2025. Sarah went to the legislature and submitted her plan for Alaska to be at 50% renewable by 2025. We are already at 25%. I can give you more specifics about things done, as opposed to style and persona Everybody wants to be cool, sound cool, look cool. But that’s just a cover-up. I’m still waiting to hear from liberals the names of other governors who can match what mine has done in two and a half years. I won’t be holding my breath.

By the way, she was content to return to AK after the national election and go to work, but the haters wouldn’t let her. Now these adolescent screechers are obviously not scuba divers. And no one ever told them what happens when you continually jab and pester a barracuda. Without warning, it will spin around and tear your face off. Shoulda known better.

Of course, her influence and status as “kingmaker” is fast becoming the stuff of legend.

Of the 27 candidates Palin endorsed in 2009 and 2010, 22 of them earned victories.

In 2012, she endorsed the following winners: Rand Paul, Marco Rubio, Tim Scott, Pat Toomey, Nikki Haley, Deb Fischer, Jeff Flake and Ted Cruz.

Not too shabby, huh?

And, the great news is: Wait a minute, folks! You ain’t seen nothing, yet!

Yesterday, Sarah Palin’s Political Action Committee released a new video, titled, “Loaded For Bear”. The video contains snippets of her Conservative Political Action Conference speech from earlier this month as well as media coverage praising the speech and her string of successful past endorsements.

The Brilliant video use of media actually singing Palin’s praises helps back up her view that she doesn’t need a Fox News contract to get her point of view out there or to have the press talking about her.

Indeed.

Her magnificent speech at this year’s CPAC Conference set the stage and set Conservative hearts on fire, including mine.

Allow me to, once again, describe a seminal moment in her speech, which has become an instant Sarah Palin Classic:

She was bringing up some spot-on political points, when, all of the sudden, she got a mischievous smile on her face and began telling the audience how Todd gave her a wonderful gift the Christmas before last: a gun rack for her ATV. She talked about how cool it was, and then told the crowd that, for this Christmas, she gave Todd a new hunting rifle. She quipped,

Yep, Todd got the rifle and I got the rack.

As the stunned audience quickly broke out in thunderous laughter and applause, Sarah stood there, grinning like the Cheshire Cat, while, at the same time, reaching under the podium to retrieve a 44-ounce Super Big Gulp Diet Coke, which she slowly sipped from, still grinning, then holding it over her head , imitating Lady Liberty holding her torch. The picture of this seminal moment has since gone viral, much to the chagrin of Liberals, on both sides of the political aisle, whose heads have been exploding, like balloons which have blown up beyond their usefulness.

She also got a gig in on professional kingmaker, Karl Rove, he of the whiteboard fame, who was, unfortunately, not a very good prognosticator in the Presidential Election.

Rove made an appearance on yesterday’s Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace, where he basically called Governor Palin a quitter, attacking her like a petulant child , who had been criticized by his Mom, or a Liberal Democrat. Take your pick.

Between now and 2014, Liberals, from both sides of the aisle, along with their willing accomplices in the Main Stream Media, will be doing their dead-level best to sabotage her growing influence on the American Political Scene.

But, this is to be expected. Liberals will tell you whom they fear.

Until He Comes,

“We’re Not Here to Rebrand a Party. We’re Here to Rebuild a Country”

conservative1Those words were spoken by Former Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin during the Conservative Political Action Committee last Saturday.

And, as this week has progressed, we have found out exactly what she meant.

The Republicans, the Grand Old Party, if you will, are “preparing their aircraft” for 2016, like a bunch of Japanese Kamikazes preparing to take their final flight into oblivion.

Every day, since The Manchurian President’s re-Inauguration, new revelations seem to be originating from GOP Establishment Headquarters, deep in the bowels of the Beltway.

First, the rumors started swirling about a possible Jeb Bush run for the presidency in some sort of a vain glorious attempt to create the Republicans’ very own version of the Kennedy’s, minus Honey Fitz’ liquor smuggling and that whole “unfortunate incident” involving Teddy, a car, a bridge, and a beautiful young lady named Mary Jo Kopechne.

While I admire both Bush 41 and 43, I agree with the Rev’ruuuund Jacksoooon (as Rush says it). It’s time to “get out the Bushes!”

Ever since Obama ascended to the Throne of the Regime, the GOP has been doing their dead-level best to shoot themselves in their collective foot, and put themselves out of their misery. Instead of wisening up from their ill-fated attempts at winning the presidency throughout the running of Moderate Candidates, the geniuses of the GOP Elite have not only been holding on to their out-of-touch Moderation, they have been steadily moving on a Quixotic journey of embracing the cultural values of those clueless individuals known as “Liberals” or the “Looney Left”.

Not only have the Republican Power Brokers forgotten every cotton-pickin’ thing that they learned during the presidency of Ronaldus Magnus, they seem to be so enamored of the Democratic Party, that they want to be just like them.

In fact, the leader of the Republican Party, Speaker of the House,  John Boehner, recently said that he “absolutely trusts” President Barack Hussein Obama (mm mmm mmmm).

I hope Obama’s old “body man”, Reggie Love, doesn’t become jealous of their “special relationship”.

The GOP seems to be of the mistaken belief that, if they foreswear everything that the GOP has always stood for, completely alienating the Conservative base, which their party was founded upon, that they will gain a bunch of “swell new friends”. By promoting “Gay Marriage”, Gun Control, and a Path to Citizenship for illegal aliens (aka: amnesty), they believe that Homosexuals, *puff puff* Libertarians, and “formerly illegal” aliens will be beholden to them and vote them back into power.

Plus, the Republican Establishment has a lot in common with the Liberal Democratic Leadership: they both believe that they are “the smartest people in the room”, they both like to spend OUR money like sailors on 24 hour leave in Thailand, and they both believe that Reagan Conservatives, like myself, who live in Dixie and the rest of Flyover Country, are “bitterly clinging to their guns and religion”. They also seem to believe that morality is not an absolute, that ethics are situational, words are made for parsing, and truth is made for bending.

They also seem to be relying on the philosophy of  the Prophet of Global Warming, Al Gore and his role-model, P.T. Barnum, who once said,

There’s a sucker born every minute.

The GOP Elite somehow believe that if they place “social issues” on the back burner, or hold views similar to those found “across the aisle”, and make the American public believe that they are “fiscally Conservative”, that Americans will fall in love with the Republican Party.

There are some serious problems with this line of thinking by the Republican Establishment.

Ignoring “social issues” will not make them go away. Christians still make up 78% of our population, and our faith does not end when the preacher says,

Thanks for coming. We’ll see you next Sunday.

Further, as Ronald Reagan explained, Conservatism is a three legged stool:  Social Issues, Fiscal Issues, and National Defense.

For those of you who claim to be “Fiscal Conservatives”, you’re fooling yourselves.

By embracing “Social Liberalism”, you are not shrinking government…you are growing it.  Someone has to pay for the emergency services caused by a hedonistic lifestyle. Booze, pot, and umm…escorts (*cough*) cost money, and when things go wrong, i.e. accidents, shootings, disease, broken marriages, etc., the costs of these “social” matters, both emotional and fiscal, not only affect the individual, but family, friends, and strangers as well.

By tossing Reagan Conservatives, or “True Conservatives”, as we have been derisively called, aside, the Republican Party, and all those who call themselves “Fiscally Conservative and Socially Liberal” are  setting themselves up as the unwitting dupes of the Democratic Party and all of their nefarious schemes to “socially re-engineer” the Faith and Values Belief System of this country.

When Sarah Palin spoke of “rebuilding the country”, she was talking about far more than just the Herculean task ahead of us of repairing the economic damage done to our nation and its standing in the world, the Arctic Fox was also speaking about re-focusing our country on the things that made America the greatest country on the face of God’s green Earth.

Palin is a Christian American Conservative. So am I. We are a part of the Republican Party’s Conservative base, whom the Republican Power Brokers have treated so dismissively the last several years., which has only served to bite them in the hindquarters, come election time.

Now, they apparently are so arrogant and short-sighted, as to want to drive us away completely.

As Ron White says,

You can’t fix stupid.

Apparently, the GOP wants to double-down on it.

The Second Civil War: The Beltway Vs. The Heartland

pailinbiggulp2October before last, one of my bride’s favorite aunts, her namesake, passed away. So, we made the 21 hour drive up to Waterford Township, Michigan, from DeSoto County, Mississippi.  Waterford Township is located right outside of the vast wasteland known as Detroit. Anyway, what struck me while I was up there, was not so much the differences in Northern Culture and my beloved Southern Way of Life, but, rather,  the similarities.

We all spoke, basically, the same language. Although, they couldn’t figure out why I didn’t sound like Jeff Dunham’s redneck mannequin, Bubba Jay. Needless to say, it was an interesting week.

That being said, it struck me, while at lunch with friends, after church on Sunday, just how disconnected the professional politicians, pundits, and prevaricators (but, I repeat myself) up in the Beltway are from all of us average citizens out here in America’s Heartland.

Getting back to the crux of the matter, there is a great divide between those who are supposed to be “the smartest people in the room”, those who are supposed to objectively report to us the news,  those who are supposed to be our civil servants, and us average American Citizens.

We, as Americans, out here in Realityville (as Rush Limbaugh calls it) tend to hold on to our Traditional American Values.  Of course, this Classic American System of Beliefs and Values, is what led Democratic President Candidate Barack Obama, to tell a bunch of donors on a campaign stop in Pennsylvania before the 2008 Election, that “us rednecks” were out here “bitterly clinging to guns or religion”.

That began an animosity between Barack Hussein Obama (mm mmm mmmm) and average Americans, that did not dissipate with time. If, anything, his actions since ascending to the Throne of The Regime, have seemingly been designed to intentionally torque off average Americans, living in “Flyover Country”.

With his minions, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, firmly esconced in their seats of power in our nations legislature, our country continued a downhill spiral which rivals the Fall of the Roman Empire.

Americans rallied in 2010, to take back the House of Representatives, by forming a New American Tea Party, consisting of grassroots groups, which supported Conservative candidates, holding rallies to gin up support and get out the vote.

During all of this upheaval, where has the Republican Party been? I mean, the purpose of our two-party political system, is to have different points-of-view to choose from, right?

Well, evidently the Powers-That-Be of the Grand Old Party have forgotten the reason that they were sent up to Capitol Hill. For example,

House Speaker John Boehner says he ‘‘absolutely’’ trusts President Barack Obama, even though they have their differences.

Boehner told ABC’s ‘‘This Week’’ that the two have a good relationship and that they’re ‘‘open with each other … honest with each other.’’

How precious.

Recently, Senators Rand Paul and Ted Cruz have stood up on their hinds legs, doing their jobs, speaking out for Americans., by holding forth on the Senate Floor, in a spectacular filibuster, protesting the Obama-suggested Sequester.

In response, older patriarchs of the Senate, John McCain, and his faithful dog, Lindsey Graham,  jumped on the Young Freedom Warriors, calling their behavior disrespectful, and these Fighters for Liberty, “Wacko Birds”.

After experiencing blowback from his constituency that made Hurricane Katrina look like one of those battery-operated handheld fans, McCain apologized.

But, the divide remains.

The Beltway continues its willing obliviance to the economic plight of average Americans, and disparaging of the Heartland of America’s System of Beliefs and Values, which have protected and sustained this country since its founding.

Thomas Jefferson, an American Founding Father, the principal author of the Declaration of Independence and the third President of the United States once said,

When the people fear the government, there is tyranny. When the government fears the people, there is liberty.

If our servants on Capital Hill do not “straighten up” and remember that we are their bosses, and not the other way around, it could lead to civil disobedience, or worse.

I have an idea: Let’s just vote them out, before that happens.

Who’s with me?

Sequestration: Palin and the Petulant President

palin-newsweekobamababyObama has locked the American People out of  “The People’s House”.

The Washington Times reports that

The White House announced Tuesday that it is canceling tours of the president’s home for the foreseeable future as the sequester spending cuts begin to bite and the administration makes good on its warnings of painful decisions.

Announcement of the decision — made in an email from the White House Visitors Office — came hours after The Washington Times reported on another administration email that seemed to show at least one agency has been instructed to make sure the cuts are as painful as President Obama promised they would be.

In the internal email, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service official Charles Brown said he asked if he could try to spread out the sequester cuts in his region to minimize the impact, and he said he was told not to do anything that would lessen the dire impacts Congress had been warned of.

“We have gone on record with a notification to Congress and whoever else that ‘APHIS would eliminate assistance to producers in 24 states in managing wildlife damage to the aquaculture industry, unless they provide funding to cover the costs.’ So it is our opinion that however you manage that reduction, you need to make sure you are not contradicting what we said the impact would be,” Mr. Brown, in the internal email, said his superiors told him.

In a related story, posted at washingtonexaminer.com:

House investigators learned Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials developed plans to release about 5,000 illegal immigrant detainees, although Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano has denied responsibility for the decision.

“An internal document obtained by the House Judiciary Committee shows that Administration officials at ICE prepared cold calculations to release thousands of criminal aliens onto the streets and did not demonstrate any consideration of the impact this decision would have on the safety of Americans,” committee chairman Bob Goodlatte, R-Va., announced.

The ICE document contains a table that proposes “reduc[ing] invoiced daily population by 1,000 weekly.” Between February 22 and March 31st, this plan would drop the number of detainees from 30,748 to 25,748.

“The decision to release detained aliens undermines the Department of Homeland Security’s mission to keep our homeland secure and instead makes our communities less safe and more vulnerable to crime,” Goodlatte said. “[R]egardless of sequestration, DHS actually has plenty of funding to pay for the detention of criminal aliens. Unfortunately, it seems Administration officials are more interested in using sequestration to promote their political agenda than as an opportunity to get our nation’s fiscal house in order.”

Napolitano said that it wasn’t her decision, even though ICE is part of DHS. “Detainee populations and how that is managed back and forth is really handled by career officials in the field,” she told ABC.

She also confirmed that the releases would continue. “We are going to manage our way through this by identifying the lowest risk detainees, and putting them into some kind of alternative to release,” Napolitano said at a Politico event, per The Daily Caller.

The New York Times profiled a “low risk” detainee released by ICE. The detainee was taken into custody “when it was discovered that he had violated probation for a conviction in 2005 of simple assault, simple battery and child abuse, charges that sprung from a domestic dispute with his wife at the time.” NRO’s Jim Geraghty asked, “If convictions for ‘simple assault, simple battery and child abuse’ make you ‘low-risk,’ what do you have to do for Janet Napolitano to consider you ‘high-risk’?”

Back on February 26th, Former Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin posted the following on her Facebook Page:

D.C.: Cut the Drama. Do Your Job.

Americans are sick and tired of yet another ginned-up crisis. D.C. needs to grow up, get to work, and live within its means. The real economic Armageddon looming before us is our runaway debt, not the sequester, which the President advocated for and signed into law and is now running around denouncing because he never had any genuine intention of reining in his reckless spending.

Remember that this sequestration deal came about because of the long debt ceiling standoff in the summer of 2011. It wasn’t the ideal outcome for anyone, but it did at least include real deficit reduction of about $110 billion per year for 10 years, which is still nowhere near enough to close our massive deficit. Keep in mind that since the sequester passed, the President has already hit American families and small business owners with his tax increases, or “more revenue” as he likes to call it. The American public doesn’t want tax increases; we want government to rein in its overspending.

If we can’t stomach modest cuts that would lower federal spending by a mere 0.3% per year out of a current federal budget of $3.6 trillion, then we might as well signal to the whole world that we have no serious intention of dealing with our debt problem.

If we are going to wet our proverbial pants over 0.3% in annual spending cuts when we’re running up trillion dollar annual deficits, then we’re done. Put a fork in us. We’re finished. We’re going to default eventually and that’s why the feds are stockpiling bullets in case of civil unrest.

If we ARE serious about putting our fiscal house in order, then let’s stop the hysterics, tighten our belts, and take our medicine.

Governor Palin was prophetic. It now appears that, instead of working with Congress to come up with a compromise, Obama would rather live up to the nickname I gave him in 2009, acting  like “The Petulant President” that he is.

Now, he is locking us, the ones he is supposed to be serving, out of the house that we built and are still financing.

Obama is determined to make his “Chicken Little” pretentious predictions about the Sequestration come true, no matter how much they hurt the people he is supposed to be protecting from “enemies foreign and domestic”.

Instead, our anti-American President, though his idiotic “Smart Power!” Foreign Policy, and his clueless Domestic Policy of unconditional amnesty and Obamanomics, which is is putting us all in the Poor House, has himself become the enemy of the American People.

This is not Presidential Leadership. This is Presidential  Sabotage.

Sequestration is Coming!!! Run For the Hills!!! Or Something….

ObamafraudJust 2 days away from the End of the World as we know it (according to Obama and his minions) and I feel fine.

However, ol’ Scooter is getting desperate…and dangerous.

The Washington Times reported yesterday, that

The sequester is officially still three days away, but the Obama administration already is making the first cuts, with officials confirming that the Homeland Security Department already has released several hundred illegal immigrants from detention in order to save money.

The move is proving controversial. Immigrant-rights groups say it shows the administration was detaining folks it never should have gone after in the first place, while Republicans questioned the decision-making.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the agency that runs the detention facilities, said that with both sequesters and the annual spending bills looming, officials have tried to find places to cut, and releasing low-priority immigrants is one of those ways.

“Over the last week, ICE has reviewed several hundred cases and placed these individuals on methods of supervision less costly than detention,” ICE said in a statement. “All of these individuals remain in removal proceedings. Priority for detention remains on serious criminal offenders and other individuals who pose a significant threat to public safety.”

While being released from detention, the illegal immigrants are still subject to supervision — either by electronic device or by being required to check in with ICE by phone or in person.

The move first was reported by The Huffington Post on Monday.

The sequesters are $85 billion in spending cuts this year, followed by equivalent cuts for the rest of this decade. They were set in motion by the 2011 debt deal and will require across-the-board cuts to all government spending save for entitlements such as Social Security.

The cuts take effect on Friday, and all sides on Capitol Hill say they want to avert them — though they cannot agree on how to do so.

The Obama administration, which wants to see the cuts replaced in large part by new tax increases, has warned that the sequesters will hurt national security.

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano on Monday told reporters at the White House that she would be forced to furlough Border Patrol agents, pulling them from their rounds along the U.S.-Mexico border.

She also hinted at the decision to release illegal immigrants, saying she would not be able to maintain the full slate of 34,000 detention beds mandated by Congress.

“How am I supposed to pay for those? There’s only so much I can do,” she said.

United We Dream, an immigrant-rights group, said the releases show the administration had been keeping folks detained who never should have been there.

Arizona Governor Jan Brewer disagrees…

I’m appalled to learn the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has begun to release hundreds of illegal aliens from custody, the first of potentially thousands to soon be freed under the guise of federal budget cuts. This is pure political posturing and the height of absurdity given that the releases are being granted before the federal ‘sequestration’ cuts have even gone into effect.

This represents a return to exactly the kind of catch-and-release procedures that have long made a mockery of our country’s immigration system. The news is especially concerning when coupled with DHS’ acknowledgment today that it may not be able to maintain operation of 34,000 immigration jail beds, as mandated by Congress.

Everyone knows the federal government must get a handle on spending, and it is well past time that the President begin working with Congress to find real budget solutions. But we cannot let public safety and the rule of law be collateral damage of the President’s failed leadership to pass a budget.

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin hits the nail on the head concerning Friday’s upcoming”Apocalypse”…

D.C.: Cut the Drama. Do Your Job.

If we ARE serious about putting our fiscal house in order, then let’s stop the hysterics, tighten our belts, and take our medicine.

Twice,  publicly and privately, Barack Hussein Obama has taken the following Oath of Office, as specified in Article II, Section 1, of the Constitution:

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.

How is what he has just done, in releasing into the citizenry, those who have broken the law, not a violation of that Oath?

How are his attempts at needlessly panicking the citizenry, not a flagrant abuse of office?

Finally, what is Scooter going to do when the “Apocalyptic Sequesters hits Friday, and none of his dire warnings come to pass, and, he is exposed for the fraud that he is?

Sarah: Plain (Spoken) and (Standing) Tall

palin-newsweekLook out, all you stuffed shirts in the Halls of Power up in DC. Sarah’s coming!

The Artic Fox has been freed of her captivity as a Political Pundit for a Moderate Cable News Channel, which lately has been dangerously flirting with embracing some of the Liberal-leanings of its sister news channels.

“It’s my understanding that Gov. Palin was offered a contract by FOX, and she decided not to renew the arrangement,” a source close to Palin told RealClearPolitics’ Scott Conroy, one of the few reporters who has largely covered Palin fairly throughout the years. “She remains focused on broadening her message of common-sense conservatism across the country and will be expanding her voice in the national discussion.”

A source close to Palin confirmed to Breitbart News that Palin declined FOX News’ offer to renew her contract, and the two parties seem to be parting amicably.

Bill Shine, an executive vice president at FOX News, said in a statement, “We have thoroughly enjoyed our association with Governor Palin. We wish her the best in her future endeavors.”

Palin was a paid contributor for three years at FOX News after she resigned from Alaska’s governorship in 2009.

During the 2012 primaries, those looking to see if Palin would run for the Republican nomination watched closely to see if she would resign from the network in order to pursue the presidential nomination. But FOX News and Palin never parted ways in 2012, and Palin ultimately decided not to run for president.

She made her announcement that she was not going run for president, though, on Mark Levin’s show. She also made an impromptu appearance on CNN during the network’s Republican primary coverage. Like she did at the Iowa State Fair in 2011, Palin impressed reporters with her impromptu interviews. However, because of her FOX News contract, Palin could not go on other cable and mainstream media networks to discuss politics, policy, and cultural issues. Now, she will be able to talk on other networks besides FOX News.

Palin–since she now does not have a television contract–will also be free to run for the GOP presidential nomination in 2016 if she so chooses.

Stephen K. Bannon, who produced a documentary about her, The Undefeated, interviewed Former Governor Palin for Breitbart.com. Here are some excerpts:

1. What’s next for you?

Short term: I encourage others to step out in faith, jump out of the comfort zone, and broaden our reach as believers in American exceptionalism. That means broadening our audience. I’m taking my own advice here as I free up opportunities to share more broadly the message of the beauty of freedom and the imperative of defending our republic and restoring this most exceptional nation. We can’t just preach to the choir; the message of liberty and true hope must be understood by a larger audience.

Focus on the 2014 election is also imperative. It’s going to be like 2010, but this time around we need to shake up the GOP machine that tries to orchestrate away too much of the will of constitutional conservatives who don’t give a hoot how they do it in DC. DC is out of touch, obviously. Voices on the right like Mark Levin, Rush, and the writers here at Breitbart have come out strongly against the “go along to get along” politicians who wave the white flag before the battle even begins. We’re not going to be able to advance the cause of limited constitutional government unless we deal with these big government enablers on our side. And this all ties into the problem of crony capitalism and the permanent political class in the Beltway. We need to consistently take them on election after election – ever vigilant.

As far as long-term plans, the door is wide open. I know the country needs more truth-telling in the media, and I’m willing to do that. So, we shall see. And always in the center of it all I have an awesome, full, exciting, and large family living in a very unique part of America that keeps me hopping! I love it!

2. Where do you think the country stands at the beginning of the President’s 2nd term?

Before the November election I wrote that we all know what Obama’s second term will look like because we’ve seen his first. I said: “We know what we will get from a second Obama term. We will get the same failed policies. We will get Obamacare locked into law. We will get a debt crisis. We will get more inflation and higher gas prices. We will get tax increases. We will get fewer jobs. We will get more small businesses collapsing under the weight of higher taxes and unfair regulation. We will get more corruption and crony capitalism favoring the Obama administration’s friends. We will get less domestic energy development and increased dependence on terrorist sponsoring foreign regimes for our energy needs. We will get a ‘blame America first’ foreign policy that bows to our enemies and snubs our friends like Israel and leaves America and the world less safe. We will get less opportunity and security for ourselves and for our children.”

Predicting the future has never been easier because here we are! Already we see higher taxes, a stagnant economy, the same inflationary monetary policies, Obamacare looming like a dark cloud over small businesses, yet another demand for “debt ceiling” increases, continued stonewalling about the tragic Benghazi attacks, a Secretary of Defense nominee who has a history of being antagonistic to our ally Israel, and the attack on our Second Amendment rights by an administration that has no respect for the Constitution or the separation of powers.

The problem is that some on the Right are now skittish because of the lost 2012 election. They shouldn’t be. Conservatism didn’t lose. A moderate Republican candidate lost after he was perceived to alienate working class Reagan Democrat and Independent voters who didn’t turn out for him as much as they did for the McCain/Palin ticket in 2008. Granted, those same voters also didn’t turn out for Obama as strongly either. We had an election defined by a biased media plus millions of voters who sat it out in disgust. As long as we allow the media and GOP establishment to tell us who our nominees must be, we can expect to lose. I’m not interested in losing. America’s next generation can’t afford another loss.

3. The MSM have declared both you and the Tea Party dead and buried. Reaction?

I was raised to never retreat and to pick battles wisely, and all in due season. When it comes to defending our republic, we haven’t begun to fight! But we delight in those who underestimate us.

Indeed, Governor. They gravely underestimate us.

There is a Culture War, which has been going on in our country for a while now, between the Republican Establishment up in the Northeast, and Conservative Americans, living in the Heartland.

What’s getting my goat is the hubris involved. Now, I have several dear Conservative friends in the NE, heck, my bride is from MI, moved down to MS 30+ years ago and used to do reenactments on the Confederate side.

That being said, the “Northeast Republicans Club’s” standard, as exemplified by their last Convention, and the subsequent Presidential Candidate Nomination of Mitt Romney, is to look down their noses at the rest of the country, as if we are a bunch of hicks, because we still believe in Reagan Conservatism.

They view Sarah the same way. They believe that anyone who is not from Hahvahd, some other Ivy League School, or, their region of the country, is a stupid bumpkin.

I suggest that they leave the Northeast sometime and travel throughout the Heartland of this great country.

They might learn a thing or two about Conservatism.

I, along with Sarah Palin, Michelle Malkin, and many others, am a Reagan Conservative…and, proud of it.

Until He Comes,

KJ
