Why Last Night’s Rep. Victory in GA is a “Bellwether”, Just Not the One the Dems Predicted

20-karen-handel-1.w710.h473

“There has definitely been a significant bias from the local media like nothing like I have ever experienced. But I intend to have the last laugh when I win tomorrow.” – Karen Handel, phone Interview with Breitbart News, 6/19/17

The Atlanta Journal Constitution reported last night that

Republican Karen Handel staved off a furious challenge from Democrat Jon Ossoff on Tuesday in a race to represent a suburban Atlanta seat in Congress, as the GOP and President Donald Trump avoided an embarrassing defeat in the most expensive U.S. House contest in history.

A former Georgia secretary of state, Handel emphasized her experience and roots in Georgia’s 6th Congressional District to defeat Ossoff and keep a seat that’s long been held by Republicans in GOP hands. She becomes Georgia’s first female Republican member of the U.S. House.

Her victory will be cast as a win for Trump, who campaigned for Handel and hurled a string of antagonizing tweets at Ossoff. And it could buoy jittery GOP incumbents who worry that allying with Trump in competitive districts could doom them.

She overcame stiff opposition from Ossoff, a 30-year-old investigative filmmaker who fast became a rising Democratic star. With a carefully calibrated message, Ossoff shattered fundraising records as he appealed to liberals infuriated by Trump and GOP voters frustrated at Washington gridlock.

His huge fundraising hauls – he raised at least $23 million – kept his message on metro Atlanta’s airwaves and allowed him to target irregular voters and others who rarely cast ballots for Democrats. And a legion of more than 12,000 Ossoff volunteers inundated the district with appeals to vote. But in the end, the money and Democratic energy wasn’t enough to overcome the district’s Republican underpinning.

Once a fervent anti-establishment candidate, Handel ran in this contest as a traditional conservative voice who backed Trump and his top priorities while saying she won’t be an “extension” of the White House.

She also relentlessly attacked Ossoff as an inexperienced stooge of national Democrats funded by out-of-state interlopers. At every turn, she sought to remind voters that Ossoff lived outside the district and that his values were “3,000 miles away.”

Handel won the conservative-leaning district, which stretches from the outskirts of Marietta to north DeKalb County, by running up big margins in GOP strongholds in places such as east Cobb County and Milton where Republicans have long thrived.

She also was able to overcome concerns with Trump across the territory. The president only narrowly carried the district in November, and polls showed him with weak approval ratings. But after keeping him at arm’s length early in the race, she aggressively embraced him after she landed a spot in the runoff in April.

The race – which cost more than $50 million – was over little more than a short-term lease to fill the remainder of former U.S. Rep. Tom Price’s term. She’s likely to face another tough Democratic challenger in November 2018, although Ossoff has said he hasn’t yet decided whether he’ll run again.

So, how did a 30 year-old “investigative filmmaker” come up with a 23-million dollar Campaign Fund?

Everybody sing…

Hooray for Hollywood!

Last night on Fox News’ “The Five”, the panel talked about Ossoff’s Left Coast Fan Club…

Greg Gutfeld pointed out similarities between Russia attempting to undermine the American presidential election, and coastal liberals trying to affect a House race in Georgia.

Democrat Jon Ossoff, who does not live in the sixth district, faced Karen Handel (R) for the seat vacated by HHS Secretary Dr. Tom Price (R).

Gutfeld said donations to Ossoff came from 7,000 Californians and 800 prospective constituentes.

He said Hollywood celebrities like Chelsea Handler and George Takei dumped money into Ossoff’s campaign.

Gutfeld said the media is obsessed with Russian meddling in national elections.

“How is this not similar?” he asked. “How is California not Russia and Georgia not America?”

He called it a case of “aristocratic outsiders instructing the rubes on how to vote – undermining an election thousands of miles away.”

Large sums of money also came from the New York metro area as well as wealthy New England enclaves like Martha’s Vineyard, Mass.

Gutfeld called the phenomenon on the Democrat’s side “a giant valium” in the wake of their major losses in 2016.

Jesse Watters called Ossoff a “carpetbagger” who “parachuted” in to represent the Pelosi wing of the Democratic Party in a district once represented by staunch conservative Rep. Newt Gingrich (R).

As I wrote yesterday, the Democrats are Masters of Collusion, having schemed to take Trump down, both before and after the 2016 Presidential Election, by any means necessary, including getting the Russians involved in an attempt to defame Trump. When that didn’t work and Trump was elected, they came up with the lie that Trump was the one doing the colluding. This set off a 7 month-long National Temper Tantrum by American Liberals, which has resulted in violence to Trump Supporters and a disruption in the business of rebuilding our Sovereign Nation.

All of the minions working within the Propaganda Arm of the Democratic Party, known as the Main Stream Media, have been pushing this election in the state of Georgia as if it was some sort of measuring stick of how well-liked and how good a job that Trump is doing as President of the United States of America.

Like a factory worker feverishly purchasing a Power Ball ticket on a Wednesday Afternoon, the purveyors of Faked News viewed Ossoff as their ticket to the Promise Land, the first step in their Quixotic Quest to remove Donald Trump from the Presidency and somehow magically install the “rightful winner” Hillary Clinton.

Americans haven’t seen such a maniacal display since Captain Queeq lost his strawberries.

Unfortunately for the Perpetually Aggrieved, the voters of Georgia did to them exactly what America’s Voters did to them on November 8, 2016: they ignored the opinions and the money of the Democratic Coastal Elite and voted their conscience.

This election was a “Bellwether”, alright.

It indicated that Americans still believe that the Democrats stink on ice.

24 Hours After the Scalise Shooting, Dems Stop Being Conciliatory and Start Blaming Republicans Again…For Everything.

Radical-Liberal-600-LI

“The one thing that we know, among many, about the modern-day Democrat Party and the American media is that they have no idea what people who live in the middle of the country think. And they don’t care.” – Rush Limbaugh, 6/15/17

The last 48 hours, since the horrible mass shooting by a deranged, psychopathic Bernie Sanders Supporter, who shot Republican Congressman Steve Scalise and 3 others have proven Conservative Radio Talk show Host Rush Limbaugh to be exactly right…again.

The reactions of the Democratic Party, their Propaganda Arm known as the Main Stream Media, and their self-styled Political Pundits, both paid and unpaid, on political websites and the Social Media have ranged from the semi-conciliatory to the deflective to the downright sadistic, leaving us average Americans living in America’s Heartland to once again wonder,

What is wrong with you people?

The Democrats have abandoned us Working Class Americans here in the Heartland to become the party of the “Upper Crust” and Special Interest Groups, who look down their noses at Americans who live here in “Flyover Country”.

The Democrats assumed, after reading their own press clippings, that all Americans wanted the Progressive/Marxist Political Ideology and style of governance which Barack Hussein Obama practiced during his time as President.

Well, we all know what assuming does, don’t we, boys and girls?

The American People overthrew the “Tyranny of the Minority”, which we have suffered under for the last 8 years on November 8th.

According to a Gallup Poll, published on January 11th of this year, Conservatives are still the leading Political Ideology in America at 37%, followed closely by “self-described” Moderates at 35%. Liberals remain the Minority Political Ideology in America, comprising only 24% of our population.

That is why I call the actions of these insufferable idiots who are still whining and crying about the fair outcome of a Presidential Election, “The Tyranny of the Minority”.

So, anyway, here we are…with a bunch of paid and unpaid “useful idiots” telling all of us normal Americans, living out here in the Heartland, how stupid and intolerant we are, for actually voting for the Traditional American Values espoused by President-elect Donald J. Trump….and how, somehow, someway, average American Gun Owners and President Donald J. Trump are responsible for the actions of a deranged Bernie Sanders Supporter.

Put down the bong, y’all.

Those of you who consider yourselves “the smartest people in the room” are the same ones who thought that Hillary was a shoo-in to be the 45th President of the United States of America.

I find it absolutely hilarious that the margin of victory for Hillary Clinton in the Popular Vote came from California.

Down here in Dixie we call that state the World’s Biggest Bowl of Granola. “What ain’t fruits and nuts, is flakes.”

I should know. I have an ex-wife who lives there.

But, I digress…

My late parents became Republican in 1980, when they joined me in voting for Republican Presidential Candidate, Ronald Wilson Reagan.

They would both literally lose their minds if they saw what has happened to their former political party of choice.

Judging from their choice of a Political Activist as their Party Chairman, these same Rocket scientists who believed that the “Queen of Mean”, Hillary Clinton, was going to be a popular Presidential Candidate with average Americans living in the Heartland, now believe that they can win the Presidency in future elections by moving even farther to the left.

They just don’t get it.

Even Crazy Uncle Joe Biden gets it. In an interview conducted shortly after the election,

He said his party failed to connect with working-class, largely white voters, and warned that “a bit of elitism” has “crept in” to party thinking.

He recalled watching a Trump rally in Pennsylvania near where he grew up.  “They’re all the people I grew up with,” he said. “They’re their kids. And they’re not racist. They’re not sexist. But we didn’t talk to them.”

Remember how refreshing Donald J. Trump’s speech was when he accepted the nomination as the Presidential Candidate of the Republican Party?

What a contrast to what we had heard for 7 and one-half long years from the present occupier of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, D.C.

No racially-divisive rhetoric, no allusions to the Marxism Axioms revolving around Class Warfare, no self-deification, such as

This was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal.

By the way, how did all of  that “Hope and Change” work out for ya?

But, I digress again…

Instead, we heard from a man who genuinely LOVED America and her people, instead of viewing us all as racist, misogynist, xenophobes.

And, therein lies the secret of Donald J. Trump’s victory over the Democrats on November 8th.

It was a direct “repudiation” of Obama and his Presidency.

What Trump did, with his refusal earlier in the campaign to “act more presidential”, was to implement a strategy.

He actually held Campaign Events in America’s Heartland and spoke to average Americans, not bussed-in crowds courtesy of Special Interest Groups funded by George Soros.

Bypassing the borders to communication, historically determined by both political parties and the Main Stream Media, is a concept which I first witnessed being employed by a Presidential Candidate in the 1980 Presidential Election, named Ronald Wilson Reagan.

While I am not comparing the two, I am noting that this strategy proved effective, in the case of both Presidential Candidates.

As the polls showed, Trump struck a resonant chord in the hearts of Average Americans, living here in the part of America, which the Modern Democratic Party refer to as “Flyover Country”, but which we refer to as “America’s Heartland”, or, quite simply, “HOME”.

Why did Donald J. Trump become so popular with average Americans?

The reason is very simple: WE WERE ANGRY.

Our palpable anger was one which has been building since January of 2009, when a Lightweight, who has as much in common with average Americans as a Martian would, was inaugurated as President of the United States of America.

That anger, a result of his anti-American actions and resulting policies, which have affected Americans’ daily lives, has been exacerbated by the Republican Elite, who, in their desire to “reach across the aisle” and “go along to get along”, have distanced themselves from those who elected them to Congress in the first place.

Meanwhile, average Americans, like you and me, remained mired up to our necks in an abysmal swamp of bills and taxes, living paycheck-to-paycheck, afraid to make a move, for fearing of drowning in an ocean of debt.

Seemingly forgotten, in all of the forgotten promises, made by Barack Hussein Obama and the Democratic Party, are the over-94 million Americans, who are no longer, largely through no fault of their own, participating in our Workforce.

Anger has played an important part in the forging of this great country.

It was anger that formed our country….an anger over being held captive to “Taxation Without Representation”…an anger which, as a prime example of history repeating itself, Americans expressed on November 8, 2016.

It is this anger, which propelled Donald J. Trump to the Presidency…and those who prefer the Washingtonian Status Quo, on both sides of the Political Aisle,  continue to deny it.

However, never once, in all of our anger, did a Trump Supporter shoot any Democratic Leader, Candidate, or Congressman.

The Democratic Party and their Presidential Candidate lost the Presidency because the American people were tired of Political Correctness and anti-American political expediencies being forced down our throats by both political parties and trumpeted by their lackeys in the Main Stream Media, while being blamed for all of the “Social Injustice” in this country.

Plus, we did not want to live 4 more of years under ANOTHER Marxist/Alinsk-ite, in the person of Hillary Clinton.

The Democratic Party is once again setting themselves up for failure if by rebuilding themselves, once again, in to a political party positioned on the Far Left of the Political Spectrum, while ignoring the feelings and opinions of average Americans living in the middle of the country.

They are not going to gain any ground politically by telling us average Americans that our Traditional Faith and Values are somehow “xenophobic”, “racist” and “anachronistic” and blaming these values and our Pro-American Lifestyle for the actions of the psychopathic Liberal who shot four innocent people on a Washington Baseball Diamond on Wednesday morning.

Judging from the reality of Donald  J. Trump’s victory on November 8th, average Middle Class Americans have had our fill of being marginalized.

The Democrats who sit imperiously in their Halls of Power on the East and “Left” Coasts, passing judgment upon us members of the “Proletariat”, had better start smelling what they are shoveling.

…or it will be at least 7 more years before a Democrat sits in the Oval Office again.

The Republican Baseball Team Practice Shooting and The Consequences of Hateful Rhetoric, Propaganda, and Fake News

shot-gop-scalise

When I woke up yesterday morning, it seemed as if it was going to be just another day.

Then I turned on Fox and Friends.

Unfolding before my eyes was the unthinkable…

There had been a mass shooting at the practice field of the Republican Congressional Baseball Team, as they got ready for the annual Congressional Baseball Game benefitting the Boys and Girls Clubs of America.

At first, I thought that it was another “Lone Wolf Homegrown Radical Islamic Terrorist”.

Boy, was I wrong.

Last night, after getting home from work, I found out additional details about the horrible attack and the fact that Representative Steve Scalise remained in critical condition.

House Majority Whip Steve Scalise remains in critical condition and needs further surgery after he was shot Wednesday during a GOP baseball practice in Alexandria, Va., according to the hospital where he is being treated.

MedStar Washington Hospital said in a statement late Wednesday that Scalise was shot once in the left hip.

“The bullet travelled across his pelvis, fracturing bones, injuring internal organs, and causing severe bleeding,” the statement said. “He underwent immediate surgery, and an additional procedure to stop bleeding. He has received multiple units of blood transfusion.”

Scalise was one of four people shot by James T. Hodgkinson as they prepared for Thursday’s Congressional Baseball Game between the Republicans and Democrats.

“I’ve seen him a couple of times like in the Superdome and I often wondered, ‘Well, why in the hell did he have all those security people with him?” Louisiana Senate President John Alario said.

“I see why now,” Alario added. “It was an abundance of caution. I’m glad they did it.”

The psychopath who did this was not Islamic, nor was he some sort of “gun nut” from the Heartland.

He was a Liberal.

Per thesmokinggun.com

The gunman who opened fire this morning (Wednesday) on Republican congressmen and staffers recently declared in a Facebook post that, “It’s Time to Destroy Trump & Co.”The accused shooter, James T. Hodgkinson, 66, posted a link to a Change.org petition in late-March that included the notation that, “Trump is a Traitor. Trump Has Destroyed Our Democracy. It’s Time to Destroy Trump & Co.”

Hodgkinson’s Facebook page includes numerous photos of Senator Bernie Sanders, whom Hodgkinson appears to have strongly supported during the 2016 Democratic presidential primary. In posts last August, Hodgkinson wrote, “I want Bernie to Win the White House” and “Bernie is a Progressive, while Hillary is Republican Lite.”

In a statement, Sanders said that he had been informed that Hodgkinson “apparently volunteered on my presidential campaign,” adding that, “I am sickened by this despicable act…Violence of any kind is unacceptable in our society and I condemn this action in the strongest possible terms.”

According to Hodgkinson’s Facebook page, he is a member of numerous left-leaning online groups, including The Road To Hell Is Paved With Republicans; Rachel Maddow For President 2020; Sanders For President 2020; Terminate The Republican Party; and Donald Trump is not my President.

Hodgkinson, a Belleville, Illinois resident, was killed when police returned fire this morning.

Even since Donald J. Trump was elected President, there has been an outpouring of anger, rage, and all-consuming hatred by the American Left that has dwarfed any political reaction that I have ever borne witness to in my 58 years on God’s Green Earth.

Some of it has indeed been staged in “Astroturf” protests, funded by George Soros and his Open Society Institute.

The rest of the over-the-top hatred can been found on the Internet, in the comment sections of Political Websites and on Facebook in individual Newsfeeds and on Political Pages, such as the ones mentioned in the Smoking Gun article.

There is a total divided, rancid political atmosphere in America, which has been steadily growing in strength and oppression for several decades.

Perhaps it is due to a coarsening in our society.

Perhaps it is due to children not receiving instruction “in the way in which they should go”.

Or, just perhaps, it is the fault of a political ideology which has foresworn the patriotism of their forefathers in order to embrace the radical socialism of Marx and Alinsky.

Now, most of the Far Left nut jobs that you run into on the Internet and on Facebook Political Pages would not go out and shoot someone. That would require them to be motivated enough to leave their Mom’s Basement and actually stand up to someone in the real world.

However, this Liberal nut job was different.

He actually had worked for a living.

However, like those Internet Trolls which I have been speaking of, this psychopath became totally immersed in the anti-Trump hatred being championed and disseminated through not only the Main Stream Media, but the Social Media, as well.

Being an unstable person to begin with, all of this hateful rhetoric led him to take violent action, doing irreparable harm.

Liberals cannot blame Booosh! for the horrors of yesterday morning. Nor can they lay the blame on inanimate automatic weapons.

They cannot even blame the shootings on President Trump.

What we have been seeing on Facebook Political Pages and Twitter has now been taken to the next step. This is on the out- of-control Left.

However, don’t expect the Liberal Elite to take any responsibility for it.

That would require ethics, morals…and a conscience.

Which, as evidenced by some of their reactions yesterday…are no longer a Liberal priority.

Until He Comes,

Democrats Seeking Election in 2018 Begin to Disguise Themselves as “Conservatives” to Get Votes

ossoff-tuesday-speech-701x393

If you can’t beat ’em…”join” em.

According to The New York Times,

Democrats are facing an open breach between the demands of their political base and the strict limits of their power, as liberal activists dream of transforming the health care system and impeaching President Trump, while candidates in hard-fought elections ask wary independent voters merely for a fresh chance at governing.

The growing tension between the party’s ascendant militant wing and Democrats in conservative-leaning terrain, where the party must compete to win power in Congress, was on vivid, split-screen display over the weekend: in Chicago, where Senator Bernie Sanders led a revival-style meeting of his progressive devotees, and in Atlanta, where Democrats are spending colossal sums of money in hopes of seizing a traditionally Republican congressional district.

It may be essential for Democrats to reconcile the party’s two clashing impulses if they are to retake the House of Representatives in 2018. In a promising political environment, a drawn-out struggle over Democratic strategy and ideology could spill into primary elections and disrupt the party’s path to a majority.

On the one hand, progressives are more emboldened than they have been in decades, galvanized by Mr. Sanders’s unexpected successes in 2016 and empowered by the surge of grass-roots energy dedicated to confronting an unpopular president and pushing the party leftward.

Mr. Sanders rallied his youthful, often-raucous coalition Saturday night at a gathering named the “People’s Summit,” where supporters hailed him in worshipful language. One Colorado couple hauled a small banner through the hangar-size McCormick Place, pleading with Mr. Sanders, a still-independent Vermont senator, to create a new “People’s Party.”

Mr. Sanders and many attendees enthused over the surprise showing of the British Labour Party, under the left-wing leader Jeremy Corbyn, in last week’s election. Democrats can electrify voters, they warned, only by embracing the Sanders agenda of universal health care, free college tuition and full employment.

Speaking for just under an hour, Mr. Sanders — who was met with chants of “Bernie, Bernie” and pleas of “2020!” — crowed that while he may have lost the 2016 primary, “we have won the battle of ideas and we are continuing to win that battle.”

He assailed President Trump in blistering terms, but earned some of his loudest cheers for attacking the party whose nomination he sought last year. “The current model and the current strategy of the Democratic Party is an absolute failure,” Mr. Sanders said to booming applause, arguing that Democrats need “fundamental change.”

“The Democratic Party must finally understand which side it is on,” he said.

Yet the party’s elected leaders, and many of its candidates, are far more dispassionate, sharing a cold-eyed recognition of the need to scrounge for votes in forbidding precincts. They have taken as a model the Democratic campaign of 2006, when the party won control of Congress in part by competing for conservative corners of the country and recruiting challengers who broke with liberal orthodoxy.

Outside Atlanta on Friday, Jon Ossoff offered a decidedly un-Sanders-like vision of the future in Georgia’s Sixth Congressional District, a conservative-leaning patchwork of office plazas and upscale malls, where voters attended his campaign events wearing golf shirts and designer eyewear.

In a special election that has become the most expensive House race in history, Mr. Ossoff, a 30-year-old former congressional aide, presented himself as essentially anti-ideological. Greeting suburban parents near a playground and giving a pep talk to volunteers, he stressed broadly popular policies like fighting air and water pollution and preserving insurance coverage for people with pre-existing conditions.

Bucking the left, Mr. Ossoff said in an interview that he would not support raising income taxes, even for the wealthy, and opposed “any move” toward a single-payer health care system. Attacked by Republicans for his ties to national liberals, Mr. Ossoff said he had not yet given “an ounce of thought” to whether he would vote for Nancy Pelosi, the House Democratic leader, in a future ballot for speaker.

His own race, Mr. Ossoff told supporters, was about “sending a message to Washington.” But that message, he said, was about “decency and respect and unity, rather than division.”

“There’s a coalition of folks here in Georgia who want representation that’s focused on local economic development and on accountability,” Mr. Ossoff said in the interview, “and not on the partisan circus in Washington.”

The tension between Mr. Ossoff’s message and the appetites of the national Democratic base has not appeared to hinder his bid for Congress. He has raised more than $23 million, an astonishing sum, largely in small online donations from Democrats seeking to put a dent in the Republicans’ House majority. Several polls over the last week showed Mr. Ossoff leading his Republican opponent, Karen Handel, though both parties agree that the race remains a tossup.

So, in order for the Democrats to get elected in the Mid-Term Elections, they are going to have to embrace Conservatism and to act like Republicans.

Six months into the Presidency of Donald J. Trump, I do not see that happening.

Like a less-than-noble version of Don Quixote, the Democrat Leadership, its Paid Activists, and its Propaganda Arm, the Main Stream Media, continue to push “Russia, Russia, Russia!”, in an effort to drive Trump out of office,

Even though Obama Henchman and Former FBI Director under Trump, James Comey, stated during the Hearings last week that Trump was never under investigation for any sort of collusion with Vladimir Putin and the Russian Government.

Now, they are feebly attempting to sound a battle cry of “Obstruction!”.

Americans aren’t buying that BS either.

The garbage which began during the 8 long years of the Obama Administration, even now, after average Americans stood up on our hind legs and elected Donald J. Trump as President, still threatens to tear our Sovereign Nation asunder.

The Democrats, as a result of their own regional bias toward the major metropolitan areas on the East and West Coasts, which has been obvious to average Americans for the last several decades, effectively divorced themselves from the people whom they claimed in every previous election cycle to “love”…Average Working Class Americans.

To put it in Marital Terms, Average Working Class Americans and the Democratic Party are no longer “evenly yoked”.

The Democrats became the party of the “Upper Crust” and Special Interest Groups, who look down their noses at Americans who live here in “Flyover Country”.

All this massive effort by the Democrats to oust President Trump shows American Voters is that they still assume that, after reading their own press clippings, all Americans somehow still want the Progressive/Marxist Political Ideology and style of governance which Barack Hussein Obama practiced during his time as President.

Well, we all know what assuming does, don’t we, boys and girls?

The American People overthrew the “Tyranny of the Minority”, which we have suffered under for the last 8 years on November 8th.

While the French long ago used “Madame Guillotine” to make a drastic change in their government, Americans used voting booths.

The overwhelming majority of Americans do not believe as those in power at the Democratic Party do.

That is why, as we are witnessing in the battle for the Sixth Congressional District, some Democrats, like Jon Ossoff, are trying to divorce themselves from their own Party’s “Ruling Class”

They are embarrassed to be associated with them because they know how the average Americans back home feel about them and their present disruption of this Sovereign Nation.

The problem with electing one of these “enlightened” Democrats is the fact that, after they are sent to Washington, they will join up with their fellow Democrats in their Quixotic Crusade to either impede or impeach President Donald J. Trump on the grounds that the Queen of Mean, Hillary Clinton, should have been President, because they are smarter than us average Americans in the heartland and in was, after all, “her time”.

Have you ever heard the old story of The Scorpion and the Frog? A Scorpion and a Frog were standing at the bank of a river. The Scorpion said to the Frog, “If you’ll give me a ride across the river, I promise not to sting you.” The Frog said, “ How do I know I can trust you? If you sting me while you are on my back, we will surely drown.” The Scorpion said, “I know that. I won’t sting you. I promise.” So, they start across the river, the Scorpion riding on the Frog’s back. They are in sight of the opposite bank and, all of the sudden, the Scorpion stings the Frog. The Frog says, “You fool!. You stung me. Now we are both going to drown!” The Scorpion said, “I know. I’m sorry. I couldn’t help myself. It’s just my nature.”

Americans must be extra careful not to be fooled by any Democrat Politicians who will be running for Congress in the 2018 Elections claiming to be a “Conservative”.

They will lie to get your vote, caucus with their fellow Democrats when they get to Washington, and advance the Democrats’ Far Left Agenda to turn America into “just another country.”

Like the scorpion…

It’s just their nature.

Until He Comes,

“A House Divided Against Itself” (A KJ Sunday Morning Op Ed)

bible-american-flag1

And if a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand – Mark 3:25 (ESV)

As I sit down to write this, I am struggling with mixed emotions over the purposefully “divided house” that is the United States of America.

The National Temper Tantrum by Modern American Liberals, which commenced after the Presidential Election was called for Donald J. Trump on the night of November 8, 2016, shows no signs of stopping.

And, I firmly believe that there are social, political, and economic reasons for their never-ending obsessive whining.

  1. Social – Quite frankly, we are witnessing the arrested development of a generation of spoiled brats and the facilitation of their National Temper Tantrum by the generation (s) who spoiled them. Black Comedian D.L. Hughley, a flaming Liberal in his own right, is famous for telling hecklers in his audiences that “they need Jesus”, in a condescending attempt to be funny and to shut them up. The reality is, these individuals who are throwing a temper tantrum over result of the 2016 Presidential Election have none of the grace nor the maturity that previous generations who were “raised right” had.  This bunch is seemingly incapable of accepting the results of a fair election and to allow the winner, President Donald J. Trump, to govern and to attempt to make things better for all of us. They also seem to believe that if you disrespect and shout Americans down, whose opinions are different from yours, then you are somehow “enlightened”. These individuals have rewritten scripture. Instead of “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you”, these people believe that you should “Do unto others anything that you want to and then pat yourself on the back for it afterwards.”
  2. Political – Make no mistake about it, the election of Donald J. Trump to the Presidency of the United States of American, shook the pillars of the Halls of Power in Washington, D.C. to their very foundation. As we are witnessing, there are professional politicians on both sides of the Political aisle who are as upset about the outcome of the election as the millennials who are acting like a herd of jackasses on college campuses across America. Whether intentional or unintentional, Friday’s Fiasco involving Paul Ryan, the Vichy Republicans, and their “friends across the aisle” exposed a raw nerve for the whole world to see. Capitol Hill is so addicted to the perks of the Washingtonian Status Quo, that they would even harm their own political party to force its return…even at the expense of their Congressional Majority and a sitting President of their own party.
  3. Economic – There is money to be made in politics. How do you think that Barack and Michelle Obama left the White House as millionaires? Why do you think that Congressmen, like Harold Ford, Sr., become Lobbyists? It is certainly not because of their altruistic natures. Trump’s desire to “Drain the Swamp” threatens the livelihoods of Lobbyists, Bureaucrats, and members of Congress. The Washingtonian Status Quo guaranteed that a lot of people left “public Service” living the “Lifestyles of the Rich and Ramous”. These Wealthy Washingtonians are very aware of what the American People sent President Trump to Washington to accomplish economically, both within the Federal Government and on behalf of working Americans. And, they do not like it.

While the French long ago used “Madame Guillotine” to make a drastic change in their government, Americans used voting booths.

Now, it’s time to come together as a nation, not to purposefully further the division between us.

America has no need for a “Shadow Government”, run by Former President Barack Hussein Obama. We do not need a Former Nazi Sympathizer and Stool Pigeon financing protests and parades designed to undermine the president and to undo the votes which average Americans cast on November 8th.

That kind of garbage is designed to further divide us as a nation.

On this Sunday Morning, America needs a “Come to Jesus Meeting” among ourselves.

Even though D.L. Hughley meant it as a putdown, America DOES need Jesus.

So, come…let us reason together.

President Trump Pulls the Plug on the “Terminal Patient” Obamacare: Why That Was the Right Move.

is-donald-trump-right-about-obamacare-death-spiral-2017-images

Like a lot of working Americans, I find myself coping with a Health Insurance Policy through my employer, which has a $2,500 deductible before it will pay decently on necessary services, such as doctor visits, hospitals stays, and prescriptions.

Yesterday, President Trump made a correct decision that, hopefully, will eventually lead to a return to sanity in the Health Insurance Industry and the Medical Industry as a whole.

Foxnews.com reported yesterday that

President Trump said Friday the White House “learned a lot about loyalty and the vote-getting process” following the dramatic failure of a Republican-backed bill that would have made good on a campaign promise to repeal and replace ObamaCare.

Trump said House Republicans were 10 to 15 votes shy of getting the bill passed and blamed the defeat on Democrats. House Speaker Paul Ryan pulled the bill minutes before a vote was to take place as it became apparent there was not enough support for passage. Democrats were united against it, and a conservative bloc of Republicans were unmoved by 11th-hour negotiations.

“We had no Democratic support,” Trump said from the Oval Office. “They weren’t going to give us a single vote.”

The president added that the “best thing we can do, politically speaking, is let ObamaCare explode. It’s exploding right now… Almost all states have big problems.”

Trump claimed he never said he would “repeal and replace [ObamaCare] within 64 days,” though he repeatedly promised during the campaign he’d do it on Day One.

Ryan, R-Wis., withdrew the legislation after Trump called and asked him to halt debate without a vote.

“We came really close today but we came up short,” Ryan said. He added that Friday’s developments were “not the end of the story” though he immediately pivoted to other items on the GOP agenda, including tax reform.

“We have big, ambitious plans to improve people’s lives,” he said.

Ryan made the walk to the White House shortly after noon to tell the president he lacked the votes to push the bill through. Friday marks the seventh anniversary of the signing of the Affordable Care Act by former President Barack Obama.

The GOP bill would have replaced ObamaCare, which mandated that almost every American have health insurance.

“This was a rejection of the repeal of the Affordable Care Act,” Democratic National Committee chair Tom Perez said in a written statement. “In the words of my friend Joe Biden: This is a BFD.”

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., called the failed GOP health care bill a “victory for the American people.”

Republicans have spent seven years campaigning against Obama’s signature health care law, and cast dozens of votes to repeal it in full or in part. But when they finally got the chance to pass a repeal bill that actually had a chance to get signed, they couldn’t pull it off.

What happens next is unclear, but the path ahead on other priorities, such as overhauling the tax code, could grow more daunting.

The development came on the afternoon of a day when the bill, which had been delayed a day earlier, was supposed to come to a vote, come what may. President Trump’s top aides had told Ryan to call a vote – and possibly call the bluff of balky Republicans in the House Freedom Caucus.

But instead of picking up support as Friday wore on, the bill went the other direction, with some key lawmakers coming out in opposition.

Rep. Rodney Frelinghuysen, R-N.J., chairman of the powerful Appropriations Committee, said the bill would raise costs unacceptably on his constituents. Rep. Barbara Comstock of Virginia, a key moderate Republican, and GOP Rep. David Joyce of Ohio also announced “no” votes.

The defections raised the possibility that the bill would not only lose on the floor, but lose big.

In the face of that evidence, and despite insistences from White House officials and Ryan that Friday was the day to vote, leadership pulled back from the brink.

The GOP bill would have eliminated the Obama statute’s unpopular fines on people who do not obtain coverage and would also have removed the often-generous subsidies for those who purchase insurance.

Republican tax credits would have been based on age, not income like Obama’s, and the tax boosts Obama imposed on higher-earning people and health care companies would have been repealed. The bill would have ended Obama’s Medicaid expansion and trimmed future federal financing for the federal-state program, letting states impose work requirements on some of the 70 million beneficiaries.

The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office said the Republican bill would have resulted in 24 million additional uninsured people in a decade and lead to higher out-of-pocket medical costs for many lower-income and people just shy of age 65 when they would become eligible for Medicare. The bill would have blocked federal payments for a year to Planned Parenthood.

Democrats were uniformly opposed. “This bill is pure greed, and real people will suffer and die from it,” said Rep. Pramila Jayapal of Washington state.

For the sake of argument., here is a brief overview of the timeline for the implementation of Obamacare, from a pdf prepared by the House Ways and Means and Energy and Commerce Committees on April 2, 2010.

2010

  • Immediate Access to Insurance for Uninsured Individuals with a Pre-Existing Condition.

Lofty goals, huh?

The Reality of the terminal failure that is Obamacare?

Per Josh Blackman in an article posted at nationalreview.com on September 26, 2016,

Despite the best-laid plans of our central planners, Obamacare is unraveling. In 2009, the Obama administration proposed an ambitious bill that aimed to seamlessly expand health insurance for millions of Americans. The uninsurable would be guaranteed access to insurance. The insured would keep the plans they liked. The uninsured would be penalized. Profitable insurers would transfer their gains to unprofitable competitors. Online exchanges — the mechanism to hold these mandates together — would allow customers to choose from a wide range of subsidized insurance policies. Or at least that was the plan.

We are only three years into this bold, persistent experiment, and virtually all of the experts’ forecasts have already been proven wrong. The carefully crafted measures designed to stabilize the markets have faltered. The uninsurable are using coverage that is far more expensive than anticipated. The insured lost the plans they liked and are now confronting skyrocketing premiums and dwindling choices. The uninsured are not signing up, leaving risk pools skewed toward older and sicker customers. Insurers are suffering far greater losses than expected and are rapidly fleeing the exchanges.

I was literally raised by 3 doctors. No, I’m not some genetic experiment, like Arnold Schwarzenegger was in the movie “Twins” with Danny DeVito. I was born a severe asthmatic, caused by being born a month premature to a Mother 3 days before her 40th birthday.

These three men worked in the same clinic in Mid-town Memphis, TN. They later went on to become the chairmen of the Medical and Surgery Departments at a local hospital.

Some of my most vivid childhood memories involve laying in one of their examination rooms, with oxygen strapped to my face, as my beloved Daddy waited nervously, by my side.

Asthma treatment back then, consisted of a swig of nasty-tasting yellow Triaminic Syrup, a shot of Epinephrine, an antibiotic shot (usually a Mycin drug), a prescription for Prednisone to alleviate the inflammation, and a prescription for an anti-biotic (again, usually a mycin drug). Thank goodness, back then, (1960s through early 1970s) Sears, where both of my parents worked, had a really good insurance plan.

That being said, I owe my life to those three devoted physicians and the Greatest Healthcare System in the World.

And, to the solid Health Insurance which my parents had through their jobs at Sears Roebuck and Company, jobs which they held until they were forced to retire in the early 1980s by the people who have run that once proud company straight into a rapidly-approaching oblivion.

Unfortunately, America’s Healthcare System, thanks to the Marxist Megalomaniac who formerly resided at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, DC, is in the process of going that same way, unless Obamacare is allowed to implode upon itself, like anyone with any common sense predicted that it eventually would.

When President Donald J. Trump made the wise move yesterday of “walking away from the deal”, thus shutting off the political machine which would have sustained the terminal patient known as Obamacare, he made a move to ease the pain and suffering of average Americans and the Greatest Healthcare System in the world.

And, when ObamaCare terminates itself, there will be no one to blame but the Democratic Party, who never even read the bill before they made it a law.

The Effort to “Repeal and Replace” Obamacare Finds Trump Fighting Resistance…From Both Sides

trump-promises-insurers-catastrophic-year-obamacareThe effort to “repeal and replace” Obamacare is being met with resistance…from BOTH sides of the Political Aisle.

The Associated Press reports that

Less than twenty-four hours after Donald Trump had won the White House, House Speaker Paul Ryan triumphantly proclaimed the start of a new era of Republican leadership that would “hit the ground running. “Six weeks into Trump’s administration, Republicans are running — just in different directions.

As congressional leaders move forward with efforts to undo former President Barack Obama’s health care law, conservative activists and GOP lawmakers are slamming the proposal as “Obamacare lite,” ”Obamacare 2.0″ and “RINOcare” — RINO standing for Republicans In Name Only, a term of derision.

Swing state senators worry that their sickest and poorest constituents could lose access to health care. Republican governors fear that millions of people now covered by Medicaid could be dropped, a step the governors warn could hurt GOP candidates in their states.

“We’ve said all along, ‘Work with the governors,'” said Gov. Brian Sandoval, R-Nev. “Well, they came out with their own bill, which doesn’t include anything that the governors have talked about.”

Republican leaders hoped unified control of Washington would unite the party around years of campaign promises to dismantle the Affordable Care Act, cut taxes and slash regulations.

Instead, the celebratory weeks that followed Trump’s victory seem to have been little more than a temporary cease-fire in a years long GOP civil war.

“There are people who haven’t adjusted to the fact that we have a Republican president,” said Michael Steel, a former top adviser to onetime Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, who frequently tangled with tea party-aligned lawmakers. “These guys could wind up leading the cavalry charge straight into machine-gun fire.”

The health care battle is probably the first of many intraparty clashes to come. Already, plans to overhaul tax laws have Republicans tied in knots, budget hawks are skeptical about Trump’s $1 trillion infrastructure plan and senior GOP lawmakers have rejected major pieces of his upcoming budget proposal.

The White House realizes that it must win over many of the objectors. With Democratic voters demanding nothing short of complete resistance to Trump, congressional passage of the Republican agenda will depend largely on party-line votes. That leaves limited room for GOP defections.

In a Wednesday meeting with the leaders of conservative groups, Trump positioned himself as the good cop in the conflict, taking what one participant described as a series of veiled shots at Ryan. The president argued that his team was at least meeting with conservative activists, according to the participant, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe private discussions.

Trump also reminded the activists of his strong support among the conservative base and said he planned to campaign in states he won, in an effort to pressure their unsupportive lawmakers.

“I want to be as helpful to the Trump administration as I can. I’m very supportive of the president. I support him, I want to help him. But respect has to go up and down the street, it’s got to go both ways,” said Rep. Gary Palmer, R-Ala., a member of the hard-line House Freedom Caucus.

At least one conservative group is already running digital ads against the GOP health care plan, arguing that the tax credits in the bill essentially replace one federal entitlement with another. Activists plan to swarm Capitol Hill to demand Congress pass a repeal bill that would completely erase all trace of Obama’s signature domestic achievement.

“This is not something that is easy for us to say, ‘OK, we’ll take half a loaf,'” said Adam Brandon, head of the conservative activist group FreedomWorks. “What Senate Leader Mitch McConnell promised when he was on the campaign trail was we’re going to repeal Obamacare root and branch. So what we’re asking him to do is repeal — root and branch.”

Republican leaders attribute some of the discord to inexperience. Just one-quarter of House Republicans ever served in the majority with a Republican president, meaning the vast majority of their members have spent their congressional careers focused solely on blocking a Democratic administration’s agenda and fighting their own leadership.

During the Obama years, conservative lawmakers ousted incumbent Republicans, brought down a House speaker and pushed presidential candidates to the right.

“When you have a president of another party you can freelance all you want to but now we have an actual chance to change the country,” said McConnell, R-Ky., speaking at a breakfast hosted by Politico. “We need to get into a governing mode and start thinking about actually achieving something rather than just sparring.”

Shifting public opinion has also complicated the calculus for Republicans, increasing the political risk of giving into conservative demands for a total rollback of the health law.

Since Trump’s election, polls show the law gaining in popularity. Over the congressional recess last month, GOP lawmakers faced raucous town halls and furious protesters demanding to keep their coverage.

If the GOP is unable to make good on seven years of election promises to repeal the law, they risk entering the 2018 elections without a tangible achievement and angering a Republican base that spent years fighting to get rid of the Affordable Care Act.

But if millions lose access to health coverage as a result of the GOP bill, it could expose members in swing districts to fierce attacks.

“Governing is tough,” says Robert Blendon, an expert on public attitudes about health care at Harvard University. “Some Republicans didn’t think through the politics of taking away coverage for 21 million people who now have it.”

Trump was elected President, to a great degree, because he is NOT a professional politician.

He is an American who wanted to make a difference.

That being the case, his penchant for not beating around the bush, i.e., being direct in his statements and actions, immediately put him at odds with the Vichy Republicans of the G.O.P.

The President is doing his best to fulfill all of the campaign promises he made to those of us who voted for him last November.

There are two impediments to him keeping his promises: the Democratic Party…and the Republican Party.

For every promise that we hear from Paul Ryan and the G.O.P . that they are going to support and assist Trump is fulfilling his campaign promises, there are also deals being struck in the Congressional Coatroom, where “business as usual” has always been conducted on Capitol Hill.

The Establishment Republicans seem to be quite content, in their moderately left-leaning stupor, even after the mandate that We The People delivered to them on November 8th, 2016, to be totally oblivious and tone deaf of their Base, average hard working middle-class Americans like you and me.

You know, the people who actually put them into office.

They keep on making bad choices.

Spineless Vichy Republicans have been a barrier to Republican victory for as long as I can remember. Like Quakers, Establishment Republicans seem to believe that passive resistance and reaching out to their sworn enemies as “friends”, is the way to defeat those who oppose you.

It has been especially bad during Obama’s reign, as the House and Senate Republican Leadership apparently cherished their friendship with the Democrats more than they did the wishes of the folks back home. Yes, they talked a good game, but so did Jon Lovitz in those “Liar Sketches” during the old days of Saturday Night Live, back when they were actually funny.

Yeah,  my wife Morgan Fairchild. Yeah, that’s it. That’s the ticket!

I am afraid that the noble sentiments that we hear and the “Hail Fellow well met” reaction to President Trump that we see from Paul Ryan and the rest of the entrenched Republicans are a reenactment of William Shakepeare’s “Julius Caesar”.

Beware the Ides of March.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the Political Aisle, you have San Fran Nan Pelosi and the rest of Democrats criticizing every single move that Trump makes…sometimes even before he makes one.

Backing them up is the Main Stream Media, like the Associated Press, who word their articles about Trump very carefully in their role as the Propaganda Arm of the Democratic Party.

However, they can not hide their bias. Their hatred of the 45th President shines through in both their prose and the individuals they use as sources for their articles.

Take “Robert Blendon of Harvard University” for example.

Prior to coming to Harvard, Dr. Blendon was Senior Vice-President at the Robert Woods Foundation.

This same foundation was mentioned in an article written by Daniel Horowitz titled “How the left and progressive foundations gave us ObamaCare — a law hated by so many” was posted on June 25, 2012 on foxnews.com

Perhaps most influential was the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the largest philanthropy focused exclusively on health care. Long a backer of universal health care coverage, the foundation spent millions in the 90s backing state and national efforts to pass legislation expanding government-provided health care and even sponsored community forums in which Hillary Clinton promoted her health-care plan—this despite being ostensibly nonpartisan. Such was the foundation’s financial influence on the health care debate that by 1995 it alone accounted for almost 45 percent of all giving in the area of health policy in America.

Like the song goes,

It’s a small world after all.

To summarize, Trump is catching flack from both sides of the Political Aisle.

Clowns to the left of me…jokers to the right…here I am…

Everybody sing!

Just kidding.

I believe that he will be able to navigate his way through these shark-infested waters.

The success that he has achieved as President so far is not just a three-hour tour and he is not Skipper Jonas Grumby.

Although, Congressman Paul Ryan does resemble Gilligan.

But, I digress…

From Watergate to Towergate: Even With Obama’s “Eavesdropping” and Obfuscating, Trump is Still President

all-ears-jpeg-sm

Early in the morning of June 17, 1972, several burglars were arrested inside the office of the Democratic National Committee (DNC), located in the Watergate building in Washington, D.C. This was no ordinary robbery: The prowlers were connected to President Richard Nixon’s reelection campaign, and they had been caught while attempting to wiretap phones and steal secret documents. While historians are not sure whether Nixon knew about the Watergate espionage operation before it happened, he took steps to cover it up afterwards, raising “hush money” for the burglars, trying to stop the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) from investigating the crime, destroying evidence and firing uncooperative staff members. In August 1974, after his role in the Watergate conspiracy had finally come to light, the president resigned. His successor, Gerald Ford, immediately pardoned Nixon for all the crimes he “committed or may have committed” while in office. Although Nixon was never prosecuted, the Watergate scandal changed American politics forever, leading many Americans to question their leadership and think more critically about the presidency. (courtesy of www.history.com)

And now, Foxnews.com reports that

Former President Obama on Saturday denied President Trump’s accusation that Obama had Trump Tower phones tapped in the weeks before the November 2016 election.

“Neither President Obama nor any White House official ever ordered surveillance on any U.S. citizen. Any suggestion otherwise is simply false,” said Kevin Lewis, a spokesman for the former president.

Trump made the claim in a series of early Saturday morning tweets that included the suggestion that the alleged wiretapping was tantamount to “McCarthyism” and “Nixon/Watergate.”

“Terrible! Just found out that Obama had my ‘wires tapped’ in Trump Tower just before the victory. Nothing found. This is McCarthyism,” Trump tweeted.

“Is it legal for a sitting President to be ‘wire tapping’ a race for president prior to an election? Turned down by court earlier. A NEW LOW!” he said in another tweet.

Trump also tweeted that a “good lawyer could make a great case of the fact that President Obama was tapping my phones in October, just prior to Election!”

“How low has President Obama gone to tap (sic) my phones during the very sacred election process. This is Nixon/Watergage. Bad (or sick) guy!” the president continued.

Trump does not specify how he uncovered the Obama administration’s alleged wiretapping.

However, he could be referencing a Breitbart article posted Friday that claimed the administration made two Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISA) requests in 2016 to monitor Trump communications and a computer server in Trump Tower, related to possible links with Russian banks.

No evidence was found.

The article was based on a segment by radio host Mark Levin.

However, the timelines for each seems to draw from a range of news reports over the last several months, including those from The New York Times and Heat Street.

Lewis also said Saturday: “A cardinal rule of the Obama administration was that no White House official ever interfered with any independent investigation led by the Department of Justice.”

Former Obama foreign policy adviser Ben Rhodes tweeted earlier in the day: “No President can order a wiretap. Those restrictions were put in place to protect citizens from people like you.”

During Trump’s Saturday morning tweets, he also brought up the ongoing controversy surrounding Attorney General Jeff Sessions and his reported 2016 meetings with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak.

Trump said the first meeting between Sessions, a senator at the time, and Kislyak was arranged by the Obama administration.

He then said Kislayk also visited the White House nearly two dozen times during the Obama administration.

“Just out: The same Russian Ambassador that met Jess Sessions visited the Obama White House 22 times, and 4 times last year alone,” Trump wrote.

On Friday, Trump fought back against top Democratic lawmakers who are demanding his attorney general’s resignation over past meetings with Russia’s ambassador — after pictures emerged of the same lawmakers in similar meetings, exposing them to “hypocrisy” charges.

Trump tweeted: “I hereby demand a second investigation, after Schumer, of Pelosi for her close ties to Russia, and lying about it.

To paraphrase the late, great Yogi Berra,

Is this “deja vu…all over again”?

According to Rush Limbaugh,

We are witnessing — right in front of our eyes — a silent coup to unseat and render effectively immaterial Donald Trump as president of the United States. The real Russian scandal is the collusion between Barack Obama and his administration and the Russians. Obama’s team used the pretext of Russian interference in the election to justify wiretaps and illegal leaks of the Trump team, including a U.S. senator and now attorney general. What has really gone on here — and I just want to repeat what I said in the opening of the hour, ’cause it wasn’t happenstance, and I mean it.The real collusion between our government and the Russians happened with Barack Obama and Vladimir Putin and the Russians. And just to reiterate, I want you to remember some things. Just ask yourself: How far back do you have to go into the campaign before you remember hearing that Trump and Putin were buddies? Remember when Trump is getting all excited about the fact that Putin was praising him and then Trump wouldn’t release tax returns? So there became a new narrative and that is that Trump and Putin are good buddies, and this could be very bad for the United States.

The way it manifests itself is Trump is such an idiot, he’s such a neophyte, he’s such an outsider, he doesn’t know things. He doesn’t understand, and he wants to sidle up to Putin just ’cause he likes Putin ’cause Putin likes him. You know, Trump’s such a sophomore. So Trump really poses a great danger because Putin doesn’t like him and Putin doesn’t like us and Putin is playing Trump for a fool and all that. So that gets the ball rolling that there’s a tie, that there’s a connection — a bromance, if you will — between Putin and Trump. And there isn’t.

The real bromance is Barack Obama and the Russians. That makes more sense ideologically, it makes more sense politically, and it makes more sense historically. We know that Obama has worked with Putin on the disarming of the United States nuclear arsenal. We got Obama on tape telling Putin’s number two guy, “Be patient with me. Be patient. I’ll have more flexibility after the election.” But Obama has turned this around, the Democrats have turned this around, and they’re now saying that it is the potential danger of Trump working with the Russians.

They used this “potential danger” to justify wiretaps of Trump’s team during the campaign and the transition, and this is what’s justifying this so-called illegal leaking. If the fake news were not so instantaneously and irrevocably left wing, the effort by an outgoing president to undermine his predecessor using intelligence agencies would be a bigger scandal than Watergate, because that’s what’s going on here. That’s what’s unprecedented. I mean, Truman and Eisenhower hated each other. But when Eisenhower assumed office, Truman went back to the haberdashery in Independence, and that was that.

Except, boys and girls, as we all know, Obama is way too vain and self-serving to do that.

Nope.

The former Petulant President Pantywaist has set up his Command Headquarters for his “Shadow Government” just a few blocks away from the White House and has even moved his “right-hand Iranian” Valerie Jarrett, into the house with him and “Mooch”.

Scary? OH, HECK YEAH.

It is all beginning to resemble a Tom Clancy Novel.

You have a Former Nazi Sympathizer, now a Billionaire “Philanthropist”, funding Far Left Causes. Add to that a disgruntled Former President, desperately trying to ensure that his mission to turn the Greatest Country on the Face of the Earth into a Third World Socialist Paradise is not derailed by the unexpected loss of his hand-picked predecessor to a “Citizen Statesman”.

Faced with the reality of a splintered Democratic Party, which has alienated its base by moving to the Extreme Far Left of the Political Spectrum, this Former President , while still in office, decided to spy on the one candidate who might actually have a chance to beat his own party’s lousy candidate in a fair Presidential Election, through the means of obtaining an order to wire tap his offices.

After that did not help and the Citizen Statesman became the President, the Former Petulant President Pantywaist, encouraged “rebellion”, as if the reality of a nation being torn asunder was some sort of “Star Wars” Movie, through the use of his “benefactor’s”(the Former Nazi Sympathizer) money in the funding of manufactured protests and a Media-Driven, Community -Organizing Assault, which includes the Former President’s own “Organizing For America” Website.

Not unlike the Bolsheviks of the Russian Revolution, this “rebellion”, with their willing accomplices in the Main Stream Media, launched a massive assault, through the dissemination of propaganda, manufactured protests, and Fake News, in order to somehow diminish the sitting President, in the hopes of regaining their lost power and continuing their mission, inspired by Karl Marx and Saul Alinsky.

Unfortunately for them, they have underestimated the power of the New Media and the resiliency of the average American, here in the Heartland, who stopped believing their lies some time ago.

And now, with the revelation that came out yesterday, that the Political Elite of both political parties knew of the specious wire tapping, this weakens the momentum of the Shadow Government’s Rebellion and strengthens the resolve of both the sitting President and the average Americans who voted him into office, against all odds.

Because, you see, boys and girls, most average Americans, out here in the Heartland, can smell a truckload of manure coming down the road at us from a mile away.

Until He Comes,

Trump’s 1st Address to Congress: The Real “Hope and Change” That Americans Voted For

trump-speech-congress-1-1280x720

Last night, the 45th President of the United States of America reaffirmed what millions of average Americans here in the Heartland saw in him.

And, once again, he made us glad that we voted for him.

Could you imagine The Queen of Mean, Hillary Clinton, giving a speech like the one he gave?

JFK, maybe. But, no America-hating Far Left Democrat of Modern Times would, including Monica Lewinsky’s ex-boyfriend’s wife..

It was quite a change from the former occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, who we’ve come to know as Petulant President Pantywaist, and whom, it appears, instead of fading away like other Presidents, is going to continue to stay in Washington and actually work to try to bring down a sitting President, foreswearing the Oath of Office which he once took.

But, I digress…

Please indulge me, as I print the text of President Donald J. Trump’s First Address to a Joint Session of Congress.

I have to. It was awesome.

‘Mr. Speaker, Mr. Vice President, Members of Congress, the First Lady of the United States, and Citizens of America:

‘Tonight, as we mark the conclusion of our celebration of Black History Month, we are reminded of our Nation’s path toward civil rights and the work that still remains. Recent threats targeting Jewish Community Centers and vandalism of Jewish cemeteries, as well as last week’s shooting in Kansas City, remind us that while we may be a Nation divided on policies, we are a country that stands united in condemning hate and evil in all its forms.

‘Each American generation passes the torch of truth, liberty and justice –- in an unbroken chain all the way down to the present.

‘That torch is now in our hands. And we will use it to light up the world. I am here tonight to deliver a message of unity and strength, and it is a message deeply delivered from my heart.

‘A new chapter of American Greatness is now beginning.

‘A new national pride is sweeping across our Nation.

‘And a new surge of optimism is placing impossible dreams firmly within our grasp.

‘What we are witnessing today is the Renewal of the American Spirit.

‘Our allies will find that America is once again ready to lead.

‘All the nations of the world — friend or foe — will find that America is strong, America is proud, and America is free.

‘In 9 years, the United States will celebrate the 250th anniversary of our founding — 250 years since the day we declared our Independence.

‘It will be one of the great milestones in the history of the world.

‘But what will America look like as we reach our 250th year? What kind of country will we leave for our children?

‘I will not allow the mistakes of recent decades past to define the course of our future.

‘For too long, we’ve watched our middle class shrink as we’ve exported our jobs and wealth to foreign countries.

‘We’ve financed and built one global project after another, but ignored the fates of our children in the inner cities of Chicago, Baltimore, Detroit — and so many other places throughout our land.

‘We’ve defended the borders of other nations, while leaving our own borders wide open, for anyone to cross — and for drugs to pour in at a now unprecedented rate.

‘And we’ve spent trillions of dollars overseas, while our infrastructure at home has so badly crumbled.

‘Then, in 2016, the earth shifted beneath our feet. The rebellion started as a quiet protest, spoken by families of all colors and creeds -– families who just wanted a fair shot for their children, and a fair hearing for their concerns.

‘But then the quiet voices became a loud chorus — as thousands of citizens now spoke out together, from cities small and large, all across our country.

‘Finally, the chorus became an earthquake – and the people turned out by the tens of millions, and they were all united by one very simple, but crucial demand, that America must put its own citizens first … because only then, can we truly MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN.

‘Dying industries will come roaring back to life. Heroic veterans will get the care they so desperately need.

‘Our military will be given the resources its brave warriors so richly deserve.

‘Crumbling infrastructure will be replaced with new roads, bridges, tunnels, airports and railways gleaming across our beautiful land.

‘Our terrible drug epidemic will slow down and ultimately, stop.

‘And our neglected inner cities will see a rebirth of hope, safety, and opportunity.

‘Above all else, we will keep our promises to the American people.

‘It’s been a little over a month since my inauguration, and I want to take this moment to update the Nation on the progress I’ve made in keeping those promises.

‘Since my election, Ford, Fiat-Chrysler, General Motors, Sprint, Softbank, Lockheed, Intel, Walmart, and many others, have announced that they will invest billions of dollars in the United States and will create tens of thousands of new American jobs.

‘The stock market has gained almost three trillion dollars in value since the election on November 8th, a record. We’ve saved taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars by bringing down the price of the fantastic new F-35 jet fighter, and will be saving billions more dollars on contracts all across our Government. We have placed a hiring freeze on non-military and non-essential Federal workers.

‘We have begun to drain the swamp of government corruption by imposing a 5 year ban on lobbying by executive branch officials –- and a lifetime ban on becoming lobbyists for a foreign government.

‘We have undertaken a historic effort to massively reduce job crushing regulations, creating a deregulation task force inside of every Government agency; imposing a new rule which mandates that for every 1 new regulation, 2 old regulations must be eliminated; and stopping a regulation that threatens the future and livelihoods of our great coal miners.

‘We have cleared the way for the construction of the Keystone and Dakota Access Pipelines — thereby creating tens of thousands of jobs — and I’ve issued a new directive that new American pipelines be made with American steel.

‘We have withdrawn the United States from the job-killing Trans-Pacific Partnership.

‘With the help of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, we have formed a Council with our neighbors in Canada to help ensure that women entrepreneurs have access to the networks, markets and capital they need to start a business and live out their financial dreams.

‘To protect our citizens, I have directed the Department of Justice to form a Task Force on Reducing Violent Crime.

‘I have further ordered the Departments of Homeland Security and Justice, along with the Department of State and the Director of National Intelligence, to coordinate an aggressive strategy to dismantle the criminal cartels that have spread across our Nation.

‘We will stop the drugs from pouring into our country and poisoning our youth — and we will expand treatment for those who have become so badly addicted.

‘At the same time, my Administration has answered the pleas of the American people for immigration enforcement and border security. By finally enforcing our immigration laws, we will raise wages, help the unemployed, save billions of dollars, and make our communities safer for everyone. We want all Americans to succeed –- but that can’t happen in an environment of lawless chaos. We must restore integrity and the rule of law to our borders.

‘For that reason, we will soon begin the construction of a great wall along our southern border. It will be started ahead of schedule and, when finished, it will be a very effective weapon against drugs and crime.

‘As we speak, we are removing gang members, drug dealers and criminals that threaten our communities and prey on our citizens. Bad ones are going out as I speak tonight and as I have promised.

‘To any in Congress who do not believe we should enforce our laws, I would ask you this question: what would you say to the American family that loses their jobs, their income, or a loved one, because America refused to uphold its laws and defend its borders?

‘Our obligation is to serve, protect, and defend the citizens of the United States. We are also taking strong measures to protect our Nation from Radical Islamic Terrorism.

‘According to data provided by the Department of Justice, the vast majority of individuals convicted for terrorism-related offenses since 9/11 came here from outside of our country. We have seen the attacks at home -– from Boston to San Bernardino to the Pentagon and yes, even the World Trade Center.

‘We have seen the attacks in France, in Belgium, in Germany and all over the world.

‘It is not compassionate, but reckless, to allow uncontrolled entry from places where proper vetting cannot occur. Those given the high honor of admission to the United States should support this country and love its people and its values.

‘We cannot allow a beachhead of terrorism to form inside America — we cannot allow our Nation to become a sanctuary for extremists.

‘That is why my Administration has been working on improved vetting procedures, and we will shortly take new steps to keep our Nation safe — and to keep out those who would do us harm.

‘As promised, I directed the Department of Defense to develop a plan to demolish and destroy ISIS — a network of lawless savages that have slaughtered Muslims and Christians, and men, women, and children of all faiths and beliefs. We will work with our allies, including our friends and allies in the Muslim world, to extinguish this vile enemy from our planet.

‘I have also imposed new sanctions on entities and individuals who support Iran’s ballistic missile program, and reaffirmed our unbreakable alliance with the State of Israel.

‘Finally, I have kept my promise to appoint a Justice to the United States Supreme Court — from my list of 20 judges — who will defend our Constitution. I am honored to have Maureen Scalia with us in the gallery tonight. Her late, great husband, Antonin Scalia, will forever be a symbol of American justice. To fill his seat, we have chosen Judge Neil Gorsuch, a man of incredible skill, and deep devotion to the law. He was confirmed unanimously to the Court of Appeals, and I am asking the Senate to swiftly approve his nomination.

‘Tonight, as I outline the next steps we must take as a country, we must honestly acknowledge the circumstances we inherited.

‘Ninety-four million Americans are out of the labor force.

‘Over 43 million people are now living in poverty, and over 43 million Americans are on food stamps.

‘More than 1 in 5 people in their prime working years are not working.

‘We have the worst financial recovery in 65 years.

‘In the last 8 years, the past Administration has put on more new debt than nearly all other Presidents combined.

‘We’ve lost more than one-fourth of our manufacturing jobs since NAFTA was approved, and we’ve lost 60,000 factories since China joined the World Trade Organization in 2001.

‘Our trade deficit in goods with the world last year was nearly $800 billion dollars.

‘And overseas, we have inherited a series of tragic foreign policy disasters.

‘Solving these, and so many other pressing problems, will require us to work past the differences of party. It will require us to tap into the American spirit that has overcome every challenge throughout our long and storied history.

‘But to accomplish our goals at home and abroad, we must restart the engine of the American economy — making it easier for companies to do business in the United States, and much harder for companies to leave.

‘Right now, American companies are taxed at one of the highest rates anywhere in the world.

‘My economic team is developing historic tax reform that will reduce the tax rate on our companies so they can compete and thrive anywhere and with anyone. At the same time, we will provide massive tax relief for the middle class.

‘We must create a level playing field for American companies and workers.

‘Currently, when we ship products out of America, many other countries make us pay very high tariffs and taxes — but when foreign companies ship their products into America, we charge them almost nothing.

‘I just met with officials and workers from a great American company, Harley-Davidson. In fact, they proudly displayed five of their magnificent motorcycles, made in the USA, on the front lawn of the White House.

‘At our meeting, I asked them, how are you doing, how is business? They said that it’s good. I asked them further how they are doing with other countries, mainly international sales. They told me — without even complaining because they have been mistreated for so long that they have become used to it — that it is very hard to do business with other countries because they tax our goods at such a high rate. They said that in one case another country taxed their motorcycles at 100 percent.

‘They weren’t even asking for change. But I am.

‘I believe strongly in free trade but it also has to be FAIR TRADE.

‘The first Republican President, Abraham Lincoln, warned that the “abandonment of the protective policy by the American Government [will] produce want and ruin among our people.”

‘Lincoln was right — and it is time we heeded his words. I am not going to let America and its great companies and workers, be taken advantage of anymore.

‘I am going to bring back millions of jobs. Protecting our workers also means reforming our system of legal immigration. The current, outdated system depresses wages for our poorest workers, and puts great pressure on taxpayers.

‘Nations around the world, like Canada, Australia and many others –- have a merit-based immigration system. It is a basic principle that those seeking to enter a country ought to be able to support themselves financially. Yet, in America, we do not enforce this rule, straining the very public resources that our poorest citizens rely upon. According to the National Academy of Sciences, our current immigration system costs America’s taxpayers many billions of dollars a year.

‘Switching away from this current system of lower-skilled immigration, and instead adopting a merit-based system, will have many benefits: it will save countless dollars, raise workers’ wages, and help struggling families –- including immigrant families –- enter the middle class.

‘I believe that real and positive immigration reform is possible, as long as we focus on the following goals: to improve jobs and wages for Americans, to strengthen our nation’s security, and to restore respect for our laws.

‘If we are guided by the well-being of American citizens then I believe Republicans and Democrats can work together to achieve an outcome that has eluded our country for decades.

‘Another Republican President, Dwight D. Eisenhower, initiated the last truly great national infrastructure program –- the building of the interstate highway system. The time has come for a new program of national rebuilding.

‘America has spent approximately six trillion dollars in the Middle East, all this while our infrastructure at home is crumbling. With this six trillion dollars we could have rebuilt our country –- twice. And maybe even three times if we had people who had the ability to negotiate.

‘To launch our national rebuilding, I will be asking the Congress to approve legislation that produces a $1 trillion investment in the infrastructure of the United States — financed through both public and private capital –- creating millions of new jobs.

‘This effort will be guided by two core principles: Buy American, and Hire American.

‘Tonight, I am also calling on this Congress to repeal and replace Obamacare with reforms that expand choice, increase access, lower costs, and at the same time, provide better Healthcare.

‘Mandating every American to buy government-approved health insurance was never the right solution for America. The way to make health insurance available to everyone is to lower the cost of health insurance, and that is what we will do.

‘Obamacare premiums nationwide have increased by double and triple digits. As an example, Arizona went up 116 percent last year alone. Governor Matt Bevin of Kentucky just said Obamacare is failing in his State — it is unsustainable and collapsing.

‘One third of counties have only one insurer on the exchanges –- leaving many Americans with no choice at all.

‘Remember when you were told that you could keep your doctor, and keep your plan?

‘We now know that all of those promises have been broken.

‘Obamacare is collapsing –- and we must act decisively to protect all Americans. Action is not a choice –- it is a necessity.

‘So I am calling on all Democrats and Republicans in the Congress to work with us to save Americans from this imploding Obamacare disaster.

‘Here are the principles that should guide the Congress as we move to create a better healthcare system for all Americans:

‘First, we should ensure that Americans with pre-existing conditions have access to coverage, and that we have a stable transition for Americans currently enrolled in the healthcare exchanges.

‘Secondly, we should help Americans purchase their own coverage, through the use of tax credits and expanded Health Savings Accounts –- but it must be the plan they want, not the plan forced on them by the Government.

‘Thirdly, we should give our great State Governors the resources and flexibility they need with Medicaid to make sure no one is left out.

‘Fourthly, we should implement legal reforms that protect patients and doctors from unnecessary costs that drive up the price of insurance – and work to bring down the artificially high price of drugs and bring them down immediately.

‘Finally, the time has come to give Americans the freedom to purchase health insurance across State lines –- creating a truly competitive national marketplace that will bring cost way down and provide far better care.

‘Everything that is broken in our country can be fixed. Every problem can be solved. And every hurting family can find healing, and hope.

‘Our citizens deserve this, and so much more –- so why not join forces to finally get it done? On this and so many other things, Democrats and Republicans should get together and unite for the good of our country, and for the good of the American people.

‘My administration wants to work with members in both parties to make childcare accessible and affordable, to help ensure new parents have paid family leave, to invest in women’s health, and to promote clean air and clear water, and to rebuild our military and our infrastructure.

‘True love for our people requires us to find common ground, to advance the common good, and to cooperate on behalf of every American child who deserves a brighter future.

‘An incredible young woman is with us this evening who should serve as an inspiration to us all.

‘Today is Rare Disease day, and joining us in the gallery is a Rare Disease Survivor, Megan Crowley. Megan was diagnosed with Pompe Disease, a rare and serious illness, when she was 15 months old. She was not expected to live past 5.

‘On receiving this news, Megan’s dad, John, fought with everything he had to save the life of his precious child. He founded a company to look for a cure, and helped develop the drug that saved Megan’s life. Today she is 20 years old — and a sophomore at Notre Dame.

‘Megan’s story is about the unbounded power of a father’s love for a daughter.

‘But our slow and burdensome approval process at the Food and Drug Administration keeps too many advances, like the one that saved Megan’s life, from reaching those in need.

‘If we slash the restraints, not just at the FDA but across our Government, then we will be blessed with far more miracles like Megan.

‘In fact, our children will grow up in a Nation of miracles.

‘But to achieve this future, we must enrich the mind –- and the souls –- of every American child.

‘Education is the civil rights issue of our time.

‘I am calling upon Members of both parties to pass an education bill that funds school choice for disadvantaged youth, including millions of African-American and Latino children. These families should be free to choose the public, private, charter, magnet, religious or home school that is right for them.

‘Joining us tonight in the gallery is a remarkable woman, Denisha Merriweather. As a young girl, Denisha struggled in school and failed third grade twice. But then she was able to enroll in a private center for learning, with the help of a tax credit scholarship program. Today, she is the first in her family to graduate, not just from high school, but from college. Later this year she will get her masters degree in social work.

‘We want all children to be able to break the cycle of poverty just like Denisha.

‘But to break the cycle of poverty, we must also break the cycle of violence.

‘The murder rate in 2015 experienced its largest single-year increase in nearly half a century.

‘In Chicago, more than 4,000 people were shot last year alone –- and the murder rate so far this year has been even higher.

‘This is not acceptable in our society.

‘Every American child should be able to grow up in a safe community, to attend a great school, and to have access to a high-paying job.

‘But to create this future, we must work with –- not against -– the men and women of law enforcement.

‘We must build bridges of cooperation and trust –- not drive the wedge of disunity and division.

‘Police and sheriffs are members of our community. They are friends and neighbors, they are mothers and fathers, sons and daughters – and they leave behind loved ones every day who worry whether or not they’ll come home safe and sound.

‘We must support the incredible men and women of law enforcement.

‘And we must support the victims of crime.

‘I have ordered the Department of Homeland Security to create an office to serve American Victims. The office is called VOICE –- Victims Of Immigration Crime Engagement. We are providing a voice to those who have been ignored by our media, and silenced by special interests.

‘Joining us in the audience tonight are four very brave Americans whose government failed them.

‘Their names are Jamiel Shaw, Susan Oliver, Jenna Oliver, and Jessica Davis.

‘Jamiel’s 17-year-old son was viciously murdered by an illegal immigrant gang member, who had just been released from prison. Jamiel Shaw Jr. was an incredible young man, with unlimited potential who was getting ready to go to college where he would have excelled as a great quarterback. But he never got the chance. His father, who is in the audience tonight, has become a good friend of mine.

‘Also with us are Susan Oliver and Jessica Davis. Their husbands –- Deputy Sheriff Danny Oliver and Detective Michael Davis –- were slain in the line of duty in California. They were pillars of their community. These brave men were viciously gunned down by an illegal immigrant with a criminal record and two prior deportations.

‘Sitting with Susan is her daughter, Jenna. Jenna: I want you to know that your father was a hero, and that tonight you have the love of an entire country supporting you and praying for you.

‘To Jamiel, Jenna, Susan and Jessica: I want you to know –- we will never stop fighting for justice. Your loved ones will never be forgotten, we will always honor their memory.

‘Finally, to keep America Safe we must provide the men and women of the United States military with the tools they need to prevent war and –- if they must –- to fight and to win.

‘I am sending the Congress a budget that rebuilds the military, eliminates the Defense sequester, and calls for one of the largest increases in national defense spending in American history.

‘My budget will also increase funding for our veterans.

‘Our veterans have delivered for this Nation –- and now we must deliver for them.

‘The challenges we face as a Nation are great. But our people are even greater.

‘And none are greater or braver than those who fight for America in uniform.

‘We are blessed to be joined tonight by Carryn Owens, the widow of a U.S. Navy Special Operator, Senior Chief William “Ryan” Owens. Ryan died as he lived: a warrior, and a hero –- battling against terrorism and securing our Nation.

‘I just spoke to General Mattis, who reconfirmed that, and I quote, “Ryan was a part of a highly successful raid that generated large amounts of vital intelligence that will lead to many more victories in the future against our enemies.” Ryan’s legacy is etched into eternity. For as the Bible teaches us, there is no greater act of love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. Ryan laid down his life for his friends, for his country, and for our freedom –- we will never forget him.

‘To those allies who wonder what kind of friend America will be, look no further than the heroes who wear our uniform.

‘Our foreign policy calls for a direct, robust and meaningful engagement with the world. It is American leadership based on vital security interests that we share with our allies across the globe.

‘We strongly support NATO, an alliance forged through the bonds of two World Wars that dethroned fascism, and a Cold War that defeated communism.

‘But our partners must meet their financial obligations.

‘And now, based on our very strong and frank discussions, they are beginning to do just that.

‘We expect our partners, whether in NATO, in the Middle East, or the Pacific –- to take a direct and meaningful role in both strategic and military operations, and pay their fair share of the cost.

‘We will respect historic institutions, but we will also respect the sovereign rights of nations.

‘Free nations are the best vehicle for expressing the will of the people –- and America respects the right of all nations to chart their own path. My job is not to represent the world. My job is to represent the United States of America. But we know that America is better off, when there is less conflict — not more.

‘We must learn from the mistakes of the past –- we have seen the war and destruction that have raged across our world.

‘The only long-term solution for these humanitarian disasters is to create the conditions where displaced persons can safely return home and begin the long process of rebuilding.

‘America is willing to find new friends, and to forge new partnerships, where shared interests align. We want harmony and stability, not war and conflict.

‘We want peace, wherever peace can be found. America is friends today with former enemies. Some of our closest allies, decades ago, fought on the opposite side of these World Wars. This history should give us all faith in the possibilities for a better world.

‘Hopefully, the 250th year for America will see a world that is more peaceful, more just and more free.

‘On our 100th anniversary, in 1876, citizens from across our Nation came to Philadelphia to celebrate America’s centennial. At that celebration, the country’s builders and artists and inventors showed off their creations.

‘Alexander Graham Bell displayed his telephone for the first time.

‘Remington unveiled the first typewriter. An early attempt was made at electric light.

‘Thomas Edison showed an automatic telegraph and an electric pen.

‘Imagine the wonders our country could know in America’s 250th year.

‘Think of the marvels we can achieve if we simply set free the dreams of our people.

‘Cures to illnesses that have always plagued us are not too much to hope.

‘American footprints on distant worlds are not too big a dream.

‘Millions lifted from welfare to work is not too much to expect.

‘And streets where mothers are safe from fear — schools where children learn in peace — and jobs where Americans prosper and grow — are not too much to ask.

‘When we have all of this, we will have made America greater than ever before. For all Americans.

‘This is our vision. This is our mission.

‘But we can only get there together.

‘We are one people, with one destiny.

‘We all bleed the same blood.

‘We all salute the same flag.

‘And we are all made by the same God.

‘And when we fulfill this vision; when we celebrate our 250 years of glorious freedom, we will look back on tonight as when this new chapter of American Greatness began.

‘The time for small thinking is over. The time for trivial fights is behind us.

‘We just need the courage to share the dreams that fill our hearts.

‘The bravery to express the hopes that stir our souls.

‘And the confidence to turn those hopes and dreams to action.

‘From now on, America will be empowered by our aspirations, not burdened by our fears –- inspired by the future, not bound by the failures of the past –- and guided by our vision, not blinded by our doubts.

‘I am asking all citizens to embrace this Renewal of the American Spirit. I am asking all members of Congress to join me in dreaming big, and bold and daring things for our country. And I am asking everyone watching tonight to seize this moment and —

‘Believe in yourselves.

‘Believe in your future.

‘And believe, once more, in America.

‘Thank you, God bless you, and God Bless these United States.’

Now, I could waste valuable space describing the reaction of the Democrats to the President’s Address last night.

But, you know what?

It doesn’t really matter. We expected them to turn up their noses and act like San Fran Nan Pelosi had broken wind and it had filtered down through the Great Hall.

Trump’s wonderful words of encouragement and unabashed Presidential Patriotism hit the purveyors of the Culture of Death like a cross repulses a vampire.

Their reactions were there for the entire world and, especially , American Citizens to see.

Their minions, the Main Stream Media, were not there to run interference.

The camera sees all.

And, the immediacy of our New Modern Media allowed Americans to witness an American President, telling us to believe in ourselves and to believe in our future.

And that, boys and girls, was, indeed a refreshing change.

Trump’s First Address to Congress: “Are You Ready to Rummmbllle?”

fine-tuned-600-li

Get your popcorn ready, boys and girls. This promises to be good.

Foxnews.com reports that

President Trump is planning to outline an ambitious first-year agenda tackling everything from immigration to infrastructure when he delivers his first address to a Joint Session of Congress Tuesday night, the White House said.

The White House detailed Trump’s highly anticipated address on Monday, outlining what will be the president’s biggest speech since his inauguration. Press Secretary Sean Spicer said Trump will push a “bold agenda,” while another White House official described it as an “optimistic” look toward the next four years.

For the new president, whose opening month has been marked by rapid-fire executive actions but also a string of controversies, the primetime televised address is a critical chance to reframe some of the more contentious aspects of his young presidency – and reinforce campaign pledges that have yet to kick into action, like repealing and replacing ObamaCare.

Spicer said the goals outlined in Tuesday’s speech will also strike a balance on the challenges ahead, while reflecting a more optimistic, forward-looking tone that focuses on the “American spirit.”

Such a tone would strike a contrast with Trump’s inauguration address, marked by gloomy warnings about the country’s economic decay and rampant crime which he vowed to fix. The official said the same team of speechwriters who worked on the inaugural speech were working with Trump on Tuesday’s address.

Spicer also said the president would highlight “public safety, including defense, increased border security, taking care of our veterans, and then economic opportunity, including education and job training, health care reform, jobs, taxes and regulatory reform.”

Trump is also expected to reach out to Americans “living in the poorest and most vulnerable communities, and let them know that help is on the way,” Spicer said.

Trump’s young administration has seen its share of growing pains.

The president has faced sustained resistance from Democrats, over everything from his Cabinet picks to his border security plans. But other issues have drawn bipartisan criticism from some corners: late-night tweets; the rocky rollout of the controversial suspension of refugee and other admissions (actions on hold by the courts and currently being rewritten); the forced resignation of national security adviser Michael Flynn following reports of contacts between him and a Russian diplomat; White House leaks driven by infighting; and strained relationships with China, Mexico and Australia.

Trump has an opportunity Tuesday to refocus on his policy priorities.

“This will be an opportunity for the people and their representatives to hear directly from our new president about his vision and our shared agenda,” House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., said.

The White House official said much of the speech would be derived from so-called “listening sessions” Trump has held over the last several weeks with a number of interest groups, including law enforcement officials and union leaders.

On Monday, Trump laid much of the groundwork for Tuesday’s speech, as he met with governors and health insurance CEOs in large part to discuss plans to replace ObamaCare.

The Obama legacy legislation has been a GOP target for many years. On the campaign trail, Trump repeatedly promised to repeal and replace it during his first 100 days in office. He went so far as to claim in the last few weeks of the general election that he would consider calling a special session of Congress to repeal it – something that has not happened.

Governors visiting Washington, D.C., over the weekend and on Monday voiced concern about the future of Medicaid and its related costs, but Trump insisted that the current insurance market is going to “absolutely implode” and something must be done.

The president also announced a “historic” $54 billion increase in defense spending, alongside cuts to almost every other federal agency as part of his forthcoming budget plan. “This budget will be a public safety and national security budget,” Trump said.

He added that he wanted to better prepare the military not only to prevent wars but also win them when called to fight.

During a meeting with governors at the White House on Monday, Trump also teased a “big statement” on infrastructure. He told the governors he plans to boost spending to rebuild the nation’s roads and bridges.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., asked what he wanted to hear from Trump on Tuesday, told a Chamber of Commerce crowd in Kentucky last week: “A tweet-free, optimistic and uplifting message about where America needs to go.”

Already, the Democratic leadership has issued a pre-buttal and called out Trump for being “a lot of bluster and blame.”

“The first month of a Trump presidency is less of a bang and more of a whimper,” Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., said. “Not much impact.”

Schumer predicted Trump’s speech “will mean nothing if this president continues to do as he’s done these first few weeks – breaking promises to working people, and putting an even greater burden on their backs while making it even easier to be wealthy and well connected in America.”

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi also needled the White House, saying it had failed to deliver on its promise to create jobs.

“He has created a lot of jobs,” Spicer countered Monday at the daily press briefing. “I think that he is continuing to work with Congress on both repealing and replacing ObamaCare, tax reform and fundamentally both of those two items alone I think can help spur a lot of growth.”

While the traditions of Congress typically dictate an atmosphere of cordiality, there have been moments of outburst over the years that have hyped up the drama.

In 2009, Rep. Joe Wilson, R-S.C., blurted out “You lie!” during then-President Barack Obama’s address. The remark was viewed widely by both parties as disrespectful.

Michael Waldman, chief speechwriter for former President Bill Clinton, told The Associated Press that Trump could easily “blow up a speech” with just a few deviations from the text on his teleprompter.

Waldman added that opposition from Democrats could also throw Trump off his game.

Following Trump’s speech, former Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear will deliver the Democratic response.

Perhaps the Governor will address the poor behavior planned by his fellow Democrats for Trump’s address.

Heatstreet.com reports that

Although President Donald Trump won’t be giving a formal State of the Union address Tuesday night (he’s only been in office a month), Democrats are still planning on making his address to a joint session of Congress as uncomfortable as possible.

Each legislator is allowed a handful of tickets for the public gallery, so that interested constituents and guests can be present for what is typically the President’s most important speech of the year. Most often, those tickets go to hometown heroes from the legislator’s respective districts, people who have made the news over the past year, or those who have benefitted from the administration’s policy agenda.

But the power can also be used for evil: Legislators have been known to pass off their tickets to protesters—including perennial anti-war activists Code Pink—or to special interest groups opposed to key items in the speech.

This year, Democrats will be using their tickets as part of an organized effort to invite the families of illegal immigrants, DREAMers protected by former President Obama’s executive orders on immigration, and Muslim-Americans they claim will be harmed by Trump’s temporary travel ban. (A court has stayed Trump’s travel ban.)

Rep. Nydia Velázquez from New York is inviting an Iraqi man who served American troops as a translator, and who was detained for several hours when the travel ban went into effect.  Rep. Jim Langevin will invite a Muslim-American born in Pakistan whom he says represents the idea that “patriotism” is not the sole purview of Trump voters.

Since it would be hard to actually find an illegal immigrant willing to walk into the United States Capitol, Dems will instead bring several people helped by the DREAM act (which Trump says he won’t undo), and the family of a woman slated for deportation back to her home country of Mexico during a routine check-in with Immigrations and Customs Enforcement officials.

Sources in one Democratic Congressional office tell Heat Street an invitation was even extended to Meryl Streep, but it’s not clear how serious the invitation was (or whether it was even received).

In case you aren’t sure who is who, Langevin also intends to hold a press conference before the joint session, just to introduce media and viewers to the people on his subversive guest list. He expects 10 to 15 of his colleagues to participate.

In order to be an effective President, you have to build a Coalition. The most effective President in my lifetime did.

On July 27. 2012. John Heubush, Executive Director of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation, wrote the following op ed for The Daily Caller

“You’re in the big leagues, now.”

So the speaker of the House said to the 40th president of the United States just days after his inauguration.

It was 1981. The 97th Congress was a mixed bag, with a Democratic-controlled House, led by Speaker Thomas “Tip” O’Neill, and a Senate held by Republicans who, for the first time since 1953, controlled a chamber of Congress.

But Ronald Reagan didn’t think “eight years as governor of one of the largest states in the union had exactly been the minor leagues.” Sacramento had been Reagan’s beta-site where nothing was accomplished until strong coalitions were formed. “It was important to develop an effective working relationship with my opponents in the legislature,” Reagan wrote, “our political disagreements not withstanding.”

What did this adversarial relationship with O’Neill and Democrats produce in the next two years? Caustic gamesmanship? A stand-off? On July 29, 1981, less than six months after Reagan took office, a strong bipartisan coalition in the House passed one of the largest tax cuts in American history, the Economic Recovery Tax Act of 1981. Two days later, the Senate followed suit.

How in the world did Reagan do it? Experience.

Matching wits with Jack Warner (of Warner Brothers) as head of the actors’ union and Jesse Unruh (speaker of the California State Assembly) as governor taught Reagan to come to the bargaining table prepared. “I’d learned while negotiating union contracts,” Reagan wrote, “that you seldom get everything you ask for.” (Years later, the press asked him about negotiating with Gorbachev. “It was easier than dealing with Jack Warner,” Reagan shot back.)

Although the Democrats were in a tough position after the Carter years, their big trump card was that nothing would get done unless Reagan won over a substantial number of them in the House. It’s no wonder that O’Neill was so full of braggadocio.

Somehow Reagan had to build a coalition.

The strategy to get the Economic Recovery Act passed by a conflicted Congress had two major parts.

First, Reagan would use his tremendous skills as a communicator by making repeated televised appeals to Congress and the American people. “Every time he spoke,” Reagan Chief of Staff Jim Baker recalled, “the needle moved.”

Second, the Legislative Strategy Group led by Baker and Ed Meese “did the grunt work” of inviting Democrats to the White House, while the president worked the phones. “I spent a lot of time in the spring and early summer of 1981 on the telephone and in meetings trying to build a coalition to get the nation’s recovery under way,” Reagan wrote. At the time, he even noted in his diary, “These Dems are with us on the budget and it’s interesting to hear some who’ve been here ten years or more say that it is their first time to ever be in the Oval Office. We really seem to be putting a coalition together.”

These “Dems” — the Boll Weevils — were Southern conservative Democrats who became key players in Reagan’s economic recovery strategy. It helped Reagan’s purpose that many represented districts that the president had carried in 1980. If they voted against a popular president, it could cost them their seats in 1982.

“To encourage the Boll Weevils to cross party lines,” journalist Lou Cannon wrote, “Reagan accepted a suggestion by James Baker and promised that he could not campaign in 1982 against any Democratic members of Congress who voted for both his tax and budget bills.” It was a shrewd and effective move.

The task of working together with the Opposition Party is a lot harder for President Trump than it was for President Reagan.

This is a completely different Democratic Party.

The brilliant Conservative Economist, Dr. Thomas Sowell once wrote,

…Perhaps the most remarkable feature of the world envisioned by today’s liberals is that it is a world where other people just passively accept whatever “change” liberals impose. In the world of Liberal Land, you can just take for granted all the benefits of the existing society, and then simply tack on your new, wonderful ideas that will make things better.

Liberal Ideas always cost taxpayer money…and they never make things better for the average American.

President Ronald Reagan once famously said,

It isn’t so much that liberals are ignorant. It’s just that they know so many things that aren’t so.

A quotation which also helps to explain the Far Left Liberals of the Democratic Party’s gross overestimation of the popularity of Liberal Ideals among Average Americans here in “Flyover Country”.

Their immature, bordering on manic, denial of the fact that Americans voted for change appears to be a part of an alternative reality that the “Special Snowflakes” who voted for Hillary Clinton and who compose the Far Left Base of the Modern Democratic Party, seem to have transported themselves into, immediately upon hearing of Donald J. Trump’s victory in last month’s Presidential Election.

The pain of their frustration is so immense over Clinton’s loss that they have created a reality in which Clinton beat Trump, having won the hearts and minds of the American People.

Somehow, as is being shown in the paid protests and the political shenanigans being planned by the Democrats for Trump’s first address to Congress, their undersized medulla oblongatas and oversized craniums will not allow them to accept the fact that Americans completely rejected their candidate, Hillary Clinton, and their Political Ideology on that fateful day in November.

So, they have retreated to that alternative reality, where they can feed and ride their unicorns somewhere over the rainbow and where they will find rest in their “Safe Space”.

Let them stay there.

The men and women of this nation, after 8 long, arduous years, finally, once again have an American President.

And, Modern American Liberals’ unending National Temper Tantrum is not helping their cause.

Instead it is backfiring spectacularly, deepening the divide between the isolated Liberal Metropolitan areas on the East and West Coasts and the “Sea of Red” as found on the 2016 Electoral Map, where the majority of average Americans live.

The Democrats should have figured out, after that glorious night of November 8, 2016, that Americans are ready to move on from their failed political ideology.

We are ready to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN.

Until He Comes,

KJ
