Hillary and “Obamacare”: Past, Present, and Future

Hillary2As expected, under Obamacare, Health Insurance Rates are rising.

Jim Angle reports, in an article posted on foxnews.com, that

A recent survey of 148 insurance brokers shows that ObamaCare is sending premiums rising at the fastest clip in decades.

“For the last, about, five years they’ve been doing this survey, so this was the largest percentage increase in any quarter since they’ve been doing (it),” says Scott Gottlieb of the American Enterprise Institute.

“But at 12 percent, 11 percent increase on average across all the states — that puts it at the upper end of any increase we’ve seen for decades.”

That is the national average in a survey done by Morgan Stanley. But in some states, it found rates are soaring.

“There are specific states with exorbitant increases,” says Gottlieb. “Delaware had 100 percent increase, Florida had a 37 percent increase, Pennsylvania 28 percent increase, California had a 53 percent increase in their premiums.”

Rates vary widely, often depending on the state and how highly regulated it was to begin with. Analysts, however, say the main reasons for the higher costs are not medical inflation, but rather the requirements of ObamaCare itself.

“There are certain regulations and certain requirements that had to be in there. And because of that it’s driven up the costs of these benefits,” says John DiVito of the Flexible Benefit Service Corporation, which represents hundreds of agents.Rate hikes include ten essential health benefits along with more than 20,000 pages or regulations.

The reported hikes are for the first policies issued under ObamaCare in 2014.

The Congressional Budget Office or CBO issued a report Monday saying the average premium for the silver plan this year will be $3800, or just over $300 a month, rising to $4,400 in 2016, 15 percent below its earlier estimates in 2009.

Those early, higher estimates make costs now look better – but that does not include deductibles of as much as $5,000.

But the estimates are comforting to the White House.

White House Spokesman Jay Carney says, “It shows that marketplace health care costs have gone down because premium estimates have gone down.”

The CBO also projects future premium increases over the next decade.

Insurance companies will soon have to set rates for 2015, and analysts fear reported higher costs now will mean increases next year, as well.

“They’re going to see an announcement that next year’s premium’s going to be 25 percent or maybe 50 percent higher than what they’re now paying,” says John Goodman of the National Center for Policy Analysis.

John Divito of Flexible Benefit Service Corporation says, “we’re reading studies where the rates could be 10 to 30, 40 percent higher. Again, it all depends geographically where these rates are being looked at but definitely an increase in rates.”

Scott Gottlieb, a medical doctor as well as an analyst, adds, “We’ve seen insurance premiums go up quite a bit over the period in which ObamaCare started to get implemented.”

Insurance executives say the same thing. Marc Bertolini, CEO of Aetna, recently told an earning conference that he anticipates 2014 spikes of 20 to 50 percent, going as high as 100 percent in some markets.

Is this unending increase in Health Insurance Rates going to lead us eventually to a nationally-run Single-Payer Healthcare System? I wonder what the presumptive 2016 Democrat Presidential Candidate, Hillary Rodham Clinton, thinks about a single-payer system? Oh, wait…

Back in 1993, Mrs. Clinton was charged by the philanderer she shares a bed with, to create a National Healthcare Plan…which she did…and Americans melted the Congressional Switchboard, which led to the Clinton National Healthcare Plan being soundly defeated.

Heritage.org reported that the main points of the bill, at the time, called for…

A National Health Board

The Clinton Plan creates a new, presidentially appointed agency that will have general oversight over the American health care system, ranging from the pricing of health insurance premiums, to the approval of new benefits to be included in any “government standardized health care” plan, and to the enforcement of public and private spending limitations at the national and state level. Unless there is congressional action to intervene, no change in benefits, medical treatments, or price can occur without the prior approval of this federal agency.

Regional Health alliances

The Plan creates a new state-based system of health insurance cooperatives that will control the availability of health plans, enforce health budgets, enroll employers and employees in the new system, collect premiums, and generally enforce the national insurance rules and regulations. Every American will be required to obtain health insurance through these health alliances, or through similar corporate-sponsored plans if they work for a large firm.

A Standard Benefits Package

The Plan outlines in meticulous detail what medical services are to be included in a standardized government health benefits package. These benefits must be offered by all approved health insurance plans. The mandatory benefits package includes not only major medical services but also routine ear and eye examinations and even elective abortion and expensive treatments for alcohol and drug abuse. This standardized benefit package will be free of tax to Americans. But if a family requires or wants any other benefits, these must be paid for with the family’s own after-tax dollars.

Employer Mandates

The Clinton Plan requires all employers to provide at least the standard package and to pay at least 80 percent of the cost of the government’s standard health benefits package. But the Plan also will subsidize companies in regional alliances (but not self-insured companies) so that their premium costs are limited to 3.5 percent of payroll for small firms and up to 7.9 percent of payroll for large companies. Firms with over 5,000 employees still have to provide at least the standard package, but may opt out of the regular health alliance system and form their own regulated cooperatives.

Government Budgets and Spending Caps

While the President says he does not favor price controls, his plan bristles with them. In fact, the central cost control in the Clinton Plan is not competition, nor even “managed competition,” but a rigid system of spending caps on public and private health insurance spending, plus fee controls for doctors in feefor-service plans. Powerful standby price controls also are contained in the Plan. States are permitted, even encouraged, to run every element of health care through state monopolies known as “single payer” systems. Under the Plan, the growth in health care spending is to be forcibly racheted down, year by year, until it is in line with the growth of inflation, as measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), by 1999.

With these central features in place, there can be little doubt that Americans will experience profound changes in the way they receive medical care, and what care they will receive. Among these changes:

1) Government controls will be expensive and will expand.

2) There will be less freedom for doctors and patients.

3) taxes will grow sharply or care will be cut.

The Administration currently projects its plan to cost $331 billion from 1994 through 2000, including new spending for tax subsidies to businesses and low-income families, a new Medicare drug benefit, new long-term care services, and new public health initiatives.6 The White House also claims that it will achieve “savings” through new cost controls and greater efficiency. Increased “sin” taxes, in the form of a new levy of 75 cents on a pack of cigarettes, also are to be imposed. And the Administration still assumes it can cut both the rate of growth of Medicare spending by S124 billion and the growth of Medicaid spending by S65 billion over the next few years (including Medicare cuts already legislated in this year’s budget package) without reducing the quality or availability of medical services to the poor and the elderly.

Sound familiar?

Then, when Hil was running for the Democrat President Nomination in 2007, she announced her vision of the future of America’s Healthcare.

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton on Monday proposed a health care plan that would require every American to have health insurance just like states require drivers to buy auto insurance.

The so-called “individual mandate” — the centerpiece of her “American Health Choices Plan” — would cost the federal government $110 billion a year and would help provide coverage for 47 million Americans without health care coverage. It is similar to a proposal offered by rival John Edwards. Barack Obama’s health care plan does not have the same mandate.

“I believe everyone — every man, woman and child — should have quality, affordable health care in America,” the New York senator told an audience in Iowa, vowing to accomplish the goal in her first term.

Clinton’s plan is comprised of four main pillars:

— Offering new coverage choices for the insured and uninsured and guaranteeing quality coverage;
— Lowering premiums by removing hidden taxes, stressing prevention and increasing security by ensuring that job loss or family illness won’t lead to a loss of coverage;
— Promoting shared responsibility among individuals, providers, employers and government, and forcing insurance and drug companies to end discrimination based on pre-existing conditions and price gauging; and
— Ensuring affordable health coverage for all by providing tax relief, limiting premium payments to a percentage of income and strengthening Medicaid.

So, we can therefore extrapolate that, if the Queen of Mean, the Benghazi Bi…err…Bombshell, Hillary Rodham Clinton, becomes President, a Washington-run Single-Payer National Healthcare System is in our future.

New Obamacare Administrator Issued the Order to Block Monuments From WWII Vets. Next…Death Panels?

The dots are beginning to connect as to why President Barack Obama chose Professional Bureaucrat Sylvia Burwell to be his new Health and Human Services Secretary.

Saturday, on her Facebook Page, Former Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin, posted the following:

You just can’t make this stuff up.

President Obama just appointed Sylvia Burwell to take over Obamacare, the disastrous beast under which our entire health care system and 1/6 of our nation’s economy is forever fundamentally transformed.

Remember last year when America’s war memorials, national parks, patriotic amenities, student White House tours, etc. were shut down because the Obama administration’s spending priorities are so out of whack? Americans were told the Federal government didn’t have enough of our tax dollars to allow WWII vets to walk across a public sidewalk to visit a statue honoring these heroes. This, during the “shutdown” when crony capitalism, earmarks, and waste and fraud continued to fill the swamp. This, while the first family continued to live elaborately large and some in Congress had the gall to whine that they aren’t paid enough. This, while the people’s will continued to be arrogantly ignored.

What a cold and callous bureaucrat it was who’d direct that quite revealing fiasco, an episode over which the Obama Administration never recovered in the court of public opinion.

Who would do such a thing? Who would punish patriotic Americans? Who sent the email initiating all this?

It’s Sylvia’s stain on the ash heap of history. And along with Sylvia’s stain comes her disturbing, punitive priorities as she takes over our health care coverage. Yeah, nothing can go wrong with that.

And, as I also previously reported, one group in Ms. Burwell’s biography jumped out at me. The Aspen Strategy Group, which is  a part of the Aspen Institute.

Who are they? I’m glad you asked.

  • Views the United States as a nation rife with deep-seated “structural racism”

  • Warns that “the circumpolar Arctic region is experiencing significant ecological change due to global climate change” caused by human industrial activity

  • Receives financial support from George Soros’s Open Society Institute

…AI has numerous noteworthy connections to the billionaire philanthropist George Soros. For example, in August 2004 Soros and other wealthy Democrats gathered at the Institute to brainstorm ways in which they could use their fortunes to engineer the defeat of George W. Bush in the upcoming presidential election. That same year, Soros spoke at an AI seminar (which also featured an appearance by Al Gore) titled “America’s Role in the Fight Against Global Poverty.” In 2006 Aspen sponsored a Soros talk where the billionaire promoted his book The Age of Fallibility: Consequences of the War on Terror. Jim Spiegelman, Aspen’s director of communications, formerly worked as a “special assistant” to Soros. Soon after the inauguration of President Barack Obama in 2009, AI developed a close working relationship with the U.S. State Department. Said Secretary of State Hillary Clinton that year: “We can’t imagine a better partner than the Aspen Institute.”

On July 3, 2009, Gov. Palin wrote the following on her Facebook Page:

Government health care will not reduce the cost; it will simply refuse to pay the cost. And who will suffer the most when they ration care? The sick, the elderly, and the disabled, of course. The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama’s “death panel” so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their “level of productivity in society,” whether they are worthy of health care. Such a system is downright evil.

If Ms. Burwell could so callously close down our National Parks and Monuments to our heroes, who paid for our freedom with their very blood, is it too much of a stretch to say that she will have no problem administrating who receives life-saving healthcare and who doesn’t?

Sibelius Resigns. When the Going Gets Tough…

Kathleen Sebelius, the health and human services secretary, is resigning, ending a stormy five-year tenure marred by the disastrous rollout of President Obama’s signature legislative achievement, the Affordable Care Act.

Mr. Obama accepted Ms. Sebelius’s resignation this week, and on Friday morning, he will nominate Sylvia Mathews Burwell, the director of the Office of Management and Budget, to replace her, officials said.

The departure comes as the Obama administration tries to move beyond its early stumbles in carrying out the law, convince a still-skeptical public of its lasting benefits, and help Democratic incumbents, who face blistering attack ads after supporting the legislation, survive the midterm elections this fall.

Sylvia Mathews Burwell has been mired in fiscal fights and has also handled health policy as part of her job as budget director.

Officials said Ms. Sebelius, 65, made the decision to resign and was not forced out. But the frustration at the White House over her performance had become increasingly clear, as administration aides worried that the crippling problems at HealthCare.gov, the website set up to enroll Americans in insurance exchanges, would result in lasting damage to the president’s legacy.

Even last week, as Mr. Obama triumphantly announced that enrollments in the exchanges had exceeded seven million, she did not appear next to him for the news conference in the Rose Garden.

The president is hoping that Ms. Burwell, 48, a Harvard- and Oxford-educated West Virginia native with a background in economic policy, will bring an intense focus and management acumen to the department. The budget office, which she has overseen since April of last year, is deeply involved in developing and carrying out health care policy.

Of course, Sibelius is “getting while the getting is good”, before the rest of the you-know-what hits the rotary oscillator.

But, as long as OUR MONEY holds out, the Obama Administration will keep on spending it.

Obama’s Obamacare Victory Dance: Figures Lie and Liars Figure

ObamalyingYesterday, President Barack Hussein Obama, in a scene which I’m sure was reminiscent of Lenin addressing the Bolsheviks after the murder of the Russian Royal Family, spiked the over-inflated football, known as Obamacare, over his own ever-moving goalposts. No small feat, that.

From the start, Obama and his minions in his Administration, the Congress, and the sycophantic Main Stream Media, have all lied about Obamacare. ..starting with the preliminary information posted, “back in the day”, on change.gov…

The Obama-Biden plan provides affordable, accessible health care for all Americans, builds on the existing health care system, and uses existing providers, doctors, and plans. Under the Obama-Biden plan, patients will be able to make health care decisions with their doctors, instead of being blocked by insurance company bureaucrats.

Under the plan, if you like your current health insurance, nothing changes, except your costs will go down by as much as $2,500 per year. If you don’t have health insurance, you will have a choice of new, affordable health insurance options.

Make Health Insurance Work for People and Businesses — Not Just Insurance and Drug Companies.

  • Require insurance companies to cover pre-existing conditions so all Americans regardless of their health status or history can get comprehensive benefits at fair and stable premiums.
  • Create a new Small Business Health Tax Credit to help small businesses provide affordable health insurance to their employees.
  • Lower costs for businesses by covering a portion of the catastrophic health costs they pay in return for lower premiums for employees.
  • Prevent insurers from overcharging doctors for their malpractice insurance and invest in proven strategies to reduce preventable medical errors.
  • Make employer contributions more fair by requiring large employers that do not offer coverage or make a meaningful contribution to the cost of quality health coverage for their employees to contribute a percentage of payroll toward the costs of their employees’ health care.
  • Establish a National Health Insurance Exchange with a range of private insurance options as well as a new public plan based on benefits available to members of Congress that will allow individuals and small businesses to buy affordable health coverage.
  • Ensure everyone who needs it will receive a tax credit for their premiums.

Reduce Costs and Save a Typical American Family up to $2,500 as reforms phase in:

  • Lower drug costs by allowing the importation of safe medicines from other developed countries, increasing the use of generic drugs in public programs, and taking on drug companies that block cheaper generic medicines from the market.
  • Require hospitals to collect and report health care cost and quality data.
  • Reduce the costs of catastrophic illnesses for employers and their employees.
  • Reform the insurance market to increase competition by taking on anticompetitive activity that drives up prices without improving quality of care.
  • The Obama-Biden plan will promote public health. It will require coverage of preventive services, including cancer screenings, and increase state and local preparedness for terrorist attacks and natural disasters.

A Commitment to Fiscal Responsibility: Barack Obama will pay for his $50 – $65 billion health care reform effort by rolling back the Bush tax cuts for Americans earning more than $250,000 per year and retaining the estate tax at its 2009 level.

Sounds wonderful, Huh?

Time for a REALITY CHECK!

Dailymail.co.uk reports that

A triumphant President Barack Obama declared Tuesday his signature medical insurance overhaul a success, saying it has made America’s health care system ‘a lot better’ in a Rose Garden press conference.

But buried in the 7.1 million enrollments he announced in a heavily staged appearance is a more unsettling reality.

Numbers from a RAND Corporation study that has been kept under wraps suggest that barely 858,000 previously uninsured Americans – nowhere near 7.1 million – have paid for new policies and joined the ranks of the insured by Monday night.

Others were already insured, including millions who lost coverage when their existing policies were suddenly cancelled because they didn’t meet Obamacare’s strict minimum requirements.

Still, he claimed that ‘millions of people who have health insurance would not have it’ without his insurance law.’

‘The goal we’ve set for ourselves – that no American should go without the health care they need … is achievable,’ Obama declared.

The president took no questions from reporters, but celebrated the end of a rocky six-month open-enrollment period by taking pot shots at Republicans who have opposed the law from the beginning as a government-run seizure of one-seventh of the U.S. economy.

‘The debate over repealing this law is over,’ he insisted. ‘The Affordable Care Act is here to stay.’

The president also chided conservatives ‘who have based their entire political agenda on repealing it,’ and praised congressional Democrats for their partisan passage of the law without a single GOP vote.

‘We could not have done it without them, and they should be proud of what they’ve done,’ Obama boasted, in a clear nod to November’s contentious elections in which Republicans are expected to make large gains on an anti-Obamacare platform because of the law’s general lack of popularity.

Yeah…they should….if they don’t try to replace it with a plan of their own.

The Republican Establishment needs to hammer the following information, courtesy of The New York Post, home…with a vengeance.

“As a result of the ACA, between 6 million and 7 million fewer people will have employment-based insurance coverage each year from 2016 through 2024 than would be the case in the absence of the ACA.”

ObamaCare’s key selling point was that it would give coverage to a significant number of the 30-plus million Americans who lack it. Now the CBO is telling the American people that a decade from now, 6 million-plus of their countrymen won’t get health care through their employers who otherwise would have.

Even more damaging is this projection: “About 31 million nonelderly residents of the United States are likely to be without health insurance in 2024, roughly one out of every nine such residents.”

Why? Because, in selling the bill to the American people in a nationally televised September 2009 address, President Obama said the need for ObamaCare was urgent precisely because “there are now more than 30 million American citizens who cannot get coverage.”

Now the CBO is saying that in 10 years about the same number of people will lack insurance as before. This, after new expenditures of as much as $2 trillion and a colossal disruption of the US medical system.

If that’s not startling enough, there’s also the telling projection about ObamaCare’s affect on employment — “a decline in the number of full-time-equivalent workers of about 2.0 million in 2017, rising to about 2.5 million in 2024.”

Overall employment will rise, the report says, but not steady, secure, long-term assured employment. The possibility of securing government-provided healthcare without employment will give people a new incentive to avoid it. “The estimated reduction stems almost entirely from a net decline in the amount of labor that workers choose to supply,” the report says.

Indeed, overall, between 2017 and 2024, the actual amount of work done in this country will decline by as much as 2 percent.

With their continuous lies about the triumphant nationwide coverage of Obamacare, the Democrats should be easy targets in the November Mid-Term Elections, if the Vichy Republicans echo the message of Senator Ted Cruz…

The bulk of the people who are signing up had health insurance to begin with — and, you know what? They probably had their insurance canceled because of Obamacare ’cause we know that over six million people had their health insurance canceled because of Obamacare. It is abundantly clear this thing isn’t working. It has caused millions of Americans to lose their jobs, to be forced into part-time work, to lose their health insurance, or to see their premiums skyrocket. It is the essence of pragmatism to recognize this thing isn’t working. Let’s start over. Let’s repeal every word of it.

Common Sense. Isn’t that a breath of fresh air? It’s sorely needed given what Obama was shoveling yesterday.

Obamacare Workers Passing Out Filled Out Democratic Ballots. GOP Establishment Still Wants to “Fix” It.

Obamacare ambulanceAs the clock strikes midnight for the implementation of Obamacare, the Mainstream Media is putting out stories claiming that the phone lines are melting down with Americans calling in to partake of Government-Run Healthcare.

Uh huh.

Government-Run Healthcare is not all Baracky Claus’ little elves are passing out. For those of you who still think that Obamacare was passed out of the goodness of the Democrats’ hearts…

LA MESA, Calif. – A local couple called 10News concerned after they received an envelope from the state’s Obamacare website, Covered California. Inside was a letter discussing voter registration and a registration card pre-marked with an “x” in the box next to Democratic Party.

The couple – who did not want their identity revealed – received the letter and voter registration card from their health insurance provider Covered California, the state-run agency that implements President Obama’s Affordable Care Act.

They have lived in La Mesa for years and they have always been registered to vote Republican. Now, they are perplexed as to how the voter registration card pre-marked Democrat ended up in their mailbox.

“I’m an old guy and I never would have noticed it, except I have an accountant that notices every dot and dash on a piece of paper as a wife,” said the man who received the mailer.

Covered California began mailing out voter signup cards to nearly 4 million enrollees last week after being threatened with a lawsuit by voting rights groups. But that does not explain the pre-filled out voter registration card.

“It’s a waste of money because there’s an awful lot of people who are going to get this that are already registered and they don’t need to. I can see that, but I can’t see putting x on the form before it’s given to me in a little bitty box that nobody’s really going to notice,” said the recipient of the mailer.

10News shared what was sent with Covered California.

Spokeswoman Anne Gonzales stated, “We are mailing voter registration material. However, the application forms come directly from the Secretary of State’s office, with no fields pre-marked. The individual should contact the Secretary of State, which takes these violations of election law extremely seriously, and they will investigate, using the unique serial number.”

The couple says they did reach out to the Secretary of State’s office and could not get a hold of anyone. They also say they reached out to the San Diego County Registrar of Voters, which told them to contact Covered California.

With the overt politicization and overall massive fiasco that is the failure of the President’s signature legislation, Obamacare, one would think that the Republican Party could “make hay while the sun shines” leading up to the November Mid-Term Elections

On March 14th, Rush Limbaugh said the following on his nationally-syndicated radio program…

Here you’ve got the Democrats who are on the verge of a massive landslide, wave loss that they are perfectly aware of. And, of course, the Democrats — knowing how malleable the Republicans are — are warning, “You guys, you better not run just on Obamacare! If that’s all you do, why, you’re not gonna have the kind of victory you should have,” as though they’re interested in us winning.

You listen to Bob Beckel, and he’s actually trying to help us. Yes, he’s trying to advise us on the kind of campaign to run so that we win the right way, and what is he saying? “You better not focus on Obamacare!” Well, of course he’s gonna say that. Obamacare is an albatross. Obamacare is a cement swimsuit for these guys. So here comes the Republican establishment represented by Dana Perino saying (paraphrased), “Bob, I think that’s right, yes.

“Republicans have seen that same poll and, yes, we shouldn’t run just on Obamacare.” Who said anybody was gonna run “just on Obamacare,” anyway? But the fact is that both parties are cautioning Republican candidates, “You better not focus on repealing Obamacare! You better focus on fixing it, and you better focus on something besides Obamacare. You can’t just win by talking about Obamacare.” Both parties are telling Republican candidates this.

It happens that it flies in the face of some of the most obvious logic that has ever been in politics. Obamacare is one of the biggest negatives any politician has ever been saddled with. Obamacare is one of the biggest negatives any political party has ever been saddled with. It is an absolute, utter, total failure and disaster. There isn’t anybody recommending it. The Democrats can’t even put together, with any credibility, a fake video of happy citizens touting the benefits of Obamacare.

They know it wouldn’t be credible.

That’s how bad it is.

They can’t even come up with actors. Even the best liars in the world can’t come up with a fake ad campaign with fake citizens touting how great their lives are now because of Obamacare, ’cause nobody would believe it — and in the middle of all this, we are being cautioned and warned, “Do not think you can win by simply opposing Obamacare!” Immediately after this guy did just that, they come out and tell us, “Don’t think you can do it.”

It’s really odd, folks.

Indeed, it is.

26% of Americans, according to a recent poll from the Associated Press, no less, are now opposed to Obamacare.

The GOP Establishment, or Vichy Republicans, as I refer to them, are so dadblamed isolated in their Beltway Bubble from the American Citizens that they are supposed to be representing, and so in love with the prospect of growing the Federal Government, through the retention of Obamacare, that they might as well rename themselves the Democratic Party II.

If the old guard Vichy Republicans care more about their Capitol Hill Way of Life than their country and their constituents, then it is time for them to get out of the way, and allow Sen. Ted Cruz and his allies to lead the battle against this corrupt anti-American Administration.

Because, as the old saying goes,

If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem.

Is Obamacare on Its “Deathbed”?

The big story in the news yesterday came as no surprise to me. President Barack Hussein Obama signature legislation known as Obamacare, has reached an all time low in popularity, coming in at 26% on an Associated Press poll.

Never in all of my life, or at least since I’ve been aware of our government and the way things work, have I seen such a relentless propaganda campaign by the American Government to force upon their citizens something that they did not want in the first place.

Government- run healthcare has been the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow for the Democratic Party for decades.

Back in the 90’s, First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton tried to get a Nationally-run Healthcare System of her own design put in place. Her dreams were dashed when United States citizens melted down the Congressional Phone Lines with a unified shout out of “NO WAY!”,  that could be heard from here to Asgard (a reference for you “Thor” fans out there).

Since then, the Democratic Party had no doubt been plotting in smoke filled rooms, biding their time, waiting for the chance to spring a nationally-run healthcare system upon the unsuspecting American people again.

And then came Barack Hussein Obama, a “clean and articulate” candidate, who was “down with the struggle” and intimate with a teleprompter.

When he ascended to the throne, Barack the Magnificent made no secret of his plans to nationalize and therefore ruin the greatest healthcare system in the world.

And, with both houses of Congress controlled by the Democrats, there was no way to stop him.

When America asked what specifically was in the “Affordable Care Act”, San Fran Nan Pelosi told us that she didn’t know either, and that Congress would have to pass  the bill to find out what was in it.

All the while, , “Baracky Claus” was assuring all of us good little girls and boys that” if we liked our doctor, we could keep our doctor. If we liked our health insurance plan, we could keep our health insurance plan.”

So on Christmas Eve of 2009, Baracky Claus’ little elves in Congress gave America a present we didn’t want.

Once the Democrats passed this bill into law, Americans soon found out why they were so reluctant to tell us exactly what was in the bill.

It turned out to a bill conceived on the misguided pretense that young Americans in their 20’s would be willing to pay the insurance bill for elderly people.

Heck, young folks are usually borrowing money from the grandparents…not giving it to them.

As this sick, twisted excuse for law started to be revealed, Americans found out that not only where we going to go trillions of dollars in debt, additionally, we were going to have to provide birth control for free to easy young women like Sandra Fluke. (Yeah. I said it.)

However, that wasn’t the worst of it.

We also found out the cancer treatments would be cut off at the age of 70. So,if you come down with cancer at the age of 70…tough.  But hold on…that’s not all: the government will decide what sort of treatment you get as you journey through your twilight years.

Oh, you broke her hip grandma? Well…here’s an aspirin.

And, that brings us to present day.

Obama has issued so many Executive Orders and made so many corrections to this awful law, that it is even more confusing than before he started making the corrections.

And, who could forget the launch of the Obamacare website?

It has turned out to be the biggest bomb since Rosie O’Donnell Variety Show. We found out that the company that designed it had an executive on that staff who went to college with First Lady Michelle Obama. They had previously screwed up jobs  in Canada, but the Obama administration hired them anyway.

After we got rid of them, it seemed like things were going better. However, now we find out that the back end of the website, the part that involves the insurance companies, is not completed.

And yet, the administration claims at least six million people have signed up.

You figure that one out. It gives me a headache.

So, it’s no surprise that Obamacare’s popularity is down to 26%. Heck,  its probably not even that high. The Associated Press probably polled more Democrats than anybody else.

In fact, Obamacare is so horrible that Democrats have been told not to run on it in the upcoming midterm election. A Campaign Adviser has told them to tell the gullible among us, that they will “fix it”.

Uh huh. And, the check’s in the mail.

However, don’t expect the GOP Establishment, or Vichy Republicans, as I call them, to do the politically-savvy thing and call for Obamacare to be shut down. Oh no. They want to “fix it” as well.

The harsh reality is, these “Beltway Bubble” Republicans, just like their buddies “across the aisle”, view a Nationally-run Healthcare System as a way to further expand the power and reach of the Federal Government and line the Federal Vaults with money…and, at least for some of them, keeping the travesty known as Obamacare gives them the opportunity to further line their pockets with money, as well.

The only ones hollering to do the right and logical thing, and  shut it down, are Ted Cruz and the rest of the Tea Party, or Reagan Conservative Republicans.

And, those are the ones we need to support and vote for this November.

The Demeaning of the Presidency: Obama Appears on “Between Two Ferns”. Hilarity Does Not Ensue.

Obama and Founding FathersThe 44th President of the United States appeared on a supposed-to-be-comedic interview show on the Internet, yesterday.

Foxnews.com reports that

The White House is defending President Obama’s snarky appearance on comedian Zach Galifianakis’ mock-interview show “Between Two Ferns,” touting it as a creative, effective way to promote ObamaCare to young adults.

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney claimed Tuesday that the video was the “number one referral” to HealthCare.gov the morning it was released online. He said he believes the “viral” video will be a big factor in getting young people to visit the website and explore coverage.

Asked whether Obama’s appearance on the “show” was beneath the office of the president, Carney said he did not think so, saying “we made the right call here.”

Obama delivered both jabs and a plug for the law in the episode, which was filmed two weeks ago and released online Tuesday. Galifianakis is known for putting his interview subjects in awkward positions and passive-aggressively insulting them in the “Funny or Die” web series.

Galifianakis began by asking Obama if he was planning on pardoning another turkey for Thanksgiving in 2014. Obama said yes and then asked Galifianakis if it was depressing for him to see a turkey “taken out of circulation” that he “couldn’t eat.”

Galifianakis responded by asking if after Obama sent “Ambassador Rodman” to North Korea, he would send Hulk Hogan to Syria or if that was more a job for Tonya Harding.

He also asked Obama what it is like being the “last black president,” and if Obama is sad that when he leaves the White House people will stop letting him win at basketball. Obama responded by asking Galifianakis what it is like to have a “three-inch vertical.”

When Galifianakis asked if he would run for a third term, Obama told him it would be like the third “Hangover” movie — probably not a good idea.

Obama then touted his health care overhaul, asking Galifianakis if he had heard of HealthCare.gov and insisting it “works great now.” He then told a seemingly bored Galifianakis how young people can get covered for what it costs to “pay their cell phone bill” every month.

“Is this what they mean by drones?” Galifianakis asked.

The White House has engaged in numerous pushes recently to get young Americans to sign up for health care, including a video featuring YouTube stars released last week.

Rush Limbaugh, per usual, has a pretty insightful take on the circumstances of Obama’s appearance on this second-rate web program, that reminded me of the old Public Access Cable Shows that I used to Direct back in the 1980s…

Now, if you wonder why people are losing respect for the president — and I think people are. I think what’s happening here is actually devastating to the office, and it began with Bill Clinton. It began with Bill Clinton. There was an arrest and a restoration when George W. Bush was there, but the office of the presidency has taken a big hit dignity-wise. And with Obama constantly on TV and constantly campaigning and making jokes and yuk yuks about inconsequential things, but doing it to build a bond between himself and the lowest-common-denominator voters, the low-information voters, it’s an unseemly, sad thing.

So he shows up on this show called Funny or Die. Funny or Die is the website. The show is Between Two Ferns. I have a couple sound bites from this show that I guess came from this morning. Now, this is a guy who doesn’t have time for national security meetings. He doesn’t have time to get a briefing from a CIA guy, doesn’t have time for all that, but he’ll go do something like this. This is a six-minute skit, and like every other guest, he gets insulted by the host. It’s a parody, it’s a joke, everybody’s in on it, you know what’s gonna happen when you show up. Nobody’s blindsided.

The whole purpose of this was to plug HealthCare.gov. The whole reason for going on this show, because this is supposedly what the low-information crowd has glommed onto now. If I were Jon Stewart, I’d be worried ’cause this is currently what’s hip, this show.

…Now, remember, Obama’s in on this. He knows full well what he’s doing. He’s not purposely being insulted. (interruption) Well, that’s the thing. Pick any president you have respect for, put ’em in this. I know it’s a changing world, folks. I know the media’s constantly expanding, but there are just certain things that presidents never deigned to take a step down and do. So here is this guy openly mocking Obama with Obama’s permission, and it’s all to celebrate and to promote HealthCare.gov.

Now, I just saw a tweet, a tweet just went out saying that the majority of sign-ups to HealthCare.gov today are coming from this show. Whoever tweeted it out meant it as a compliment. Whoever tweeted it out meant to say that this was a home run performance by the president, that there are all kinds of people now going to HealthCare.gov to sign up, like we believe this. I don’t, by the way. You know what I believe? I believe the number of cancellations. And you know what that number is? It’s well up to six and a half million people.

Six and a half million real people have had their insurance plans canceled despite these delays, despite putting off the implementation, six and a half million people have had their insurance canceled. Some of them are cancer patients. Some of them are really sick. Some of them aren’t, but some of them are. I don’t believe the number they claim to sign up. There wouldn’t be the panic. Look, if this were going great guns you wouldn’t have Democrat senator after Democrat senator running away from it. The Democrats that are up for reelection are running as far away from HealthCare.gov and Obamacare as they can. And some of them are making no bones about it.

Some of them are actively campaigning against Obamacare, Democrats are, Democrat senators up for reelection. There’s nobody that can make me believe that whatever is happening with Obamacare, HealthCare.gov, is good and overwhelmingly optimistic and growing by leaps and bounds. You want to tell me that appearing with this kind of an interview on this show spawned and inspired massive visits to HealthCare.gov, massive enrollment?

Strains credulity, doesn’t it?

Just like Obama’s overall performance as United States President.

From the moment he walked into the Oval Ofrfice, his focus has been on erasing any trace of American Exceptionalism.

He has done this through his Domestic Policies, designed to stifle individuality and ambition and his Foreign Policy, “Smart Power”, through which he has insulted and demeaned our longtime allies, and embraced our enemies, who wish to kill all of us “infidels”, to the point where he is seemingly so naive, he cannot even see when they are playing him for a fool on the world stage, which reflects on our standing as a World Power.

Of course, his policies are an extension of his own work ethic (or. lack thereof). I mean, he saunters over to the Oval Office at 10:00 a.m. (when he is not on vacation), shirtsleeves rolled up, collar open, acting like he’s going to a poker game with the boys, instead of leading the Free World.

That is in stark contrast to the crack of dawn, shirt, tie, and jacket professional work ethic of President Ronald Reagan and both President Bushes.

So, is Obama intentionally trying to demean the United States of America and the office of the Presidency?

Well, he was seen in New York City yesterday, at the Gap Clothing Store, looking at a pink sweater.

Perhaps, Ukraine should just go ahead and surrender now.

Why Americans Are Criticizing President Barack Hussein Obama (A KJ Op Ed)

Obama-Shrinks-2Do you remember when Barack Hussein Obama first burst onto the scene? It was during the 2004 Democratic National Convention. Here was this young Senator from the state of Illinois, who received the opportunity of a lifetime, to be one of the main speakers at the convention.

Meticulously prepared by his handlers,  when the young senator took the stage, you would have thought it was the second coming of Elvis.

George Soros, David Axelrod ,and all of the powers behind the scenes in the Democratic Party made sure that the Main Stream Media would trumpet the triumphant arrival of their next “Golden Boy”, a charismatic individual who would carry the Democrat Party on his back in their quest to reclaim the White House.

And sure enough, thanks to a propaganda campaign by the Main Stream Media and a Democrat ground game spearheaded by the illegal efforts of ACORN, America’s low information voters, desperately wanting to ride the wave of an event which they were told would be historic, the election of America’s first black president, elected instead, America’s first Anti-American president.

As our country quickly found out, we did not elect a world leader, we elected a community organizer.

One of his first actions, as a time-tested product of Chicago politics, was to repay those who got him elected bypassing the phony stimulus bill, which actually turned out to be nothing but a Pork-Laden, Graft-Riddled piece of Political Patronage.

Then, the Community Organizer-In-Chief set about to take over the finest healthcare system in the world.

He knew that he could not accomplish this by being honest, so instead he told the American public, that our national run healthcare system would be different from Canada’s and the United Kingdom’s, in which their citizens are subject to long waiting lines for needed operations or they are simply denied them. Obama told Americans that if “you like your doctor you can keep your doctor” and “if you like your health insurance you can keep your health insurance”.

To paraphrase representative Joe Wilson, he lied.

And, because the launch of “Obamacare” has turned out to be such an unmitigated disaster, Obama has been forced to issue a bunch of Executive Orders, in an attempt to keep his fellow Democrats for being politically slaughtered in the Mid-Term Elections this November.

So much for Obama’s failed Domestic Policy.

Next, let us focus on Obama’s Foreign Policy Policy, shall we?

From the moment, Obama announced the appointement of his Democratic Primary Opponent, Hillary Rodham Clinton, to be his Secretary of State, Americans felt a propgetic shiver go up their spine.

The Former First Lady had about as much experience in foreign affairs as Michelle Obama has in pushing away from a buffet table.

Obama and Clinton decided to call their Foreign Policy Initiative “Smart Power

Unfortunately, for our nation’s safety, it has turned out to be anything but “smart” or “powerful”.

Obama’s failure at Foreign Policy has led to the entire Middle East being consumed by the Bonfire of The Vanities, known as “Arab Spring” in which Moderate Muslims dictators were replaced by Radical Muslim Dictators.

Additionally, during this Arab Spring, on the anniversary of the worst terrorist attack on American soil in history, 4 brave American,s including our ambassador, were slaughtered at the US Embassy Compound in Benghazi, Libya.

No effort to save them that night was made by the Obama administration.

And, the “Leader of the Free World”, blamed a Youtube Video for “stirring up” “peaceful Muslims”.

Since then, Obama has made threats and has drawn red lines in the desert sand in an attempt to show the world that he is a powerful leader.

Unfortunately for our safety as nation, Obama’s Fantasyland view of the world, which is not unlike the old Coca Cola Advertisement where everyone had a Coke and a smile, set him up to be a disastrous failure at Foreign Policy.

A failure which finds our enemies in Iran still working on a nuclear bomb and Russian Leader Vladimir Putin beginning the process of annexing surrounding countries and rebuilding the old Soviet Union, which was dissolved thanks to the efforts of a real leader and American President, Ronald Reagan.

The popular defense, currently being thrown against the wall to see if it sticks by Liberals on behalf of their fallen messiah’s failed Foreign Policy, is to attack those who are critical of it, by claiming that we are rooting for the Russian Leader.

In fact, the opposite is true.

We are Americans. We love our country. We cherish our freedom.

As we see our own freedom slipping away through the actions of a failed president and his willing minions, we are sympathetic to Ukraine and the other former Soviet Bloc nations, who are presently under the threat of having their freedom taken from them.

We are critical of this president and his failed Foreign Policy because it is costing these nations their freedom, just as his Domestic Policy is in the process of costing us our own.

Obama’s Surgeon General Nominee: Politics First, Medicine Second

Dr. Vivek MurthyAmerica’s Surgeon General serves as a spokesperson for the federal government, representing its views on public health policy and initiatives.

That being said, one would think that a conscientious President would want to appoint someone of proven leadership ability and impeccable character, such as the late Dr. C. Everett Koop.

Not our man, Scooter. His nominee makes Dr. Joycelyn Elders look good.

The Washington Times reports that

His latest maneuver is to nominate a rabidly anti-gun doctor to be the next U.S. surgeon general. Dr. Vivek Murthy is facing Senate approval in upcoming weeks.

Dr. Murthy is the 36-year-old president and co-founder of Doctors for America, a group that advocates for Obamacare and gun control laws.

The group calls gun violence “a public health crisis.” It pushes for Congress to ban “assault weapons” and “high-capacity” magazines and calls for spending tax dollars for more gun-control research.

The organization also lobbies for doctors to be allowed to ask patients, including minors, whether they have legal guns in the home. If the patient admits to having guns, Dr. Murthy wants doctors to “counsel them appropriately about safety measures.”

Gun rights advocates and many families view this policy as a violation of privacy.

At a hearing before the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee last week, Sen. Lamar Alexander asked Dr. Murthy about public comments on firearms, such as a tweet from before the 2012 president election that said, “Tired of politicians playing politics w/ guns, putting lives at risk b/c they’re scared of NRA. Guns are a health care issue.”

Mr. Alexander, the ranking Republican on the committee, told Dr. Murthy that “Americans have a First Amendment right to advocate the Second Amendment — or any other amendment. And the Second Amendment is not a special interest group, it’s part of our Constitution.”

The Tennessee senator added that, “If your goal is to make guns the bully pulpit of your advocacy in the surgeon general’s office, that would concern me.”

The fact that Obama’s Surgeon General Nominee is an “anti-gun doctor” is just the tip of the iceberg.

Regarding the group which Dr. Murthy co-founded, “Doctors for America”, Michelle Malkin wrote the following on October 7, 2009:

Lights, camera, agitprop! The curtains opened on yet another artfully-staged performance of Obamacare Theater this week. One hundred and fifty doctors took their places on the plush lawn outside the West Wing – many acting like Twilight groupies with cameras instead of credible medical professionals. The president approved the scenery: “I am thrilled to have all of you here today, and you look very spiffy in your coats.”

White House wardrobe assistants guaranteed the “spiffy.” As the New York Post’s Charles Hurt reported, the physicians “were told to bring their white lab coats to make sure that TV cameras captured the image.” President Obama’s aides hastily handed out costumes to those who came in suits or dresses before the doc-and-pony show began.

But while Halloween came early to the Potomac, these partisan single-payer activists in White House-supplied clothing aren’t fooling anyone.

Obama’s spin doctors belong to a group called “Doctors for America” (DFA), which reportedly supplied the white lab coats. The White House event was organized in conjunction with DFA and Organizing for America, Obama’s campaign outfit. OFA and DFA are behind a massive new Obamacare ad campaign, letter-writing campaign, and doctor recruitment campaign. The supposedly “grass-roots,” non-profit DFA is a spin-off of Doctors for Obama, a 2008 campaign arm that aggressively pushed the Democrats’ government health care takeover. DFA claims to have thousands of members with a “variety of backgrounds.” But there’s little diversity in their views on socialized medicine (98 percent want a taxpayer-funded public insurance option) – or in their political contributions.

DFA president and co-founder Dr. Vivek Murthy, an internal medicine physician at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and an Instructor at Harvard Medical School, served as a member of the Obama Health Policy Advisory Committee and the Obama New England Steering Committee during the 2008 presidential campaign.

DFA vice president Dr. Alice Chen of Los Angeles is an Obama donor and avowed supporter of Organizing for America, Obama’s campaign shop run by the Democratic National Committee. On Monday, she posted on the OFA website with an appeal to Democrat activists for letters to the editor in support of Obama’s “health care reform.”

DFA “senior adviser” Jacob Hacker is an Obamacare architect who laughed at criticism of the plan being a Trojan Horse for single payer coverage. “It’s not a Trojan Horse, right” he retorted at a far Left Tides Foundation conference on health care. “It’s just right there! I’m telling you. We’re going to get there.”

…Who unveiled “Doctors for America” earlier this spring? No, not ordinary citizens outside the Beltway. The decidedly un-grass-roots sponsors of the Doctors for America launch were Democrat Sen. Max Baucus, chair of the Senate Finance Committee, and the left-wing Center for American Progress (which is run by liberal operative John Podesta and underwritten by far Left billionaire George Soros).

As I’ve noted before, CAP is a lead organization in the Health Care Action Now coalition, the Astroturfed “grass-roots” lobbying group for Obama’s health care takeover legislation run out of 1825 K Street in Washington, D.C. with a $40 million budget. CAP is also the parent group of Think Progress, the far Left website leading the smear campaign against fiscal conservative activists who protested at congressional town halls this summer. And several CAP alumni are now leading the Obamacare push at the Department of Health and Human Services, including special HHS assistant Michael Halle and HHS director Jeanne Lambrew, a former senior fellow at the Center for American Progress who worked on health policy in the Clinton Administration. CAP/HCAN’s most recent initiative? Bussing protesters to the private homes of health care executives last week to bully them over the public option — even as many health care executives line the pockets of Obama administration officials and allies lobbying on their behalf.

It’s all in keeping with the elaborate Kabuki productions that have marked Team Obama’s efforts to manufacture support for government-run health care. They’ve been doctoring it up from Day One.

Let’s peek behind the  stage curtain of this Kabuki Theater, shall we? As it turns out, the Soros-funded CAP is more than just a “sponsor” of DFA.

When we look at CAP’s staff list, we find the linkage to DFA. It seems DFA is being run as some sort of sub-project under the CAP umbrella:

How tight are CAP and DFA? Well, they’re both located at 1333 H St NW and they’re both on the 10th Floor, and DFA is listed by CAP as a CAP “project”. Pretty tight.

Not exactly subtle, huh?

So let me get this straight…Obama has nominated a Second Amendment-hating, Obama and Obamacare-worshiping, bug-eyed, slack-jawed, Far left Radical to be America’s “Top Doctor”.

Obama Delays Employer Mandate. “I Can Do Anything I Want.”

At 4:45 POTUS and president Hollande walked out from a portico and strolled in Front of your pool with Leslie Bowman, president of the Monticello Foundation. Looking at a terrace she said that Jefferson loved to admire the landscape from there. POTUS said that he’d like to take a look and seemed delighted to “break the protocol”.

“That’s the good thing as a President, I can do whatever I want” he quipped, walking to the terrace with his guest and Ms. Bowman. Pool now in the mansion as the leaders will come and visit Jefferson’s study.

The comment came around the time the White House announced it would be delaying the Obamacare mandate for some businesses unilaterally.

The French president is here in the U.S. on a state visit”Doling what he wants, evidently means acting as if there is no Constitution, nor 2 other Branches of Government…especially when it comes to attempting to “fix” his Signature Legislation, Obamacare.

Most employers won’t face a fine next year if they fail to offer workers health insurance, the Obama administration said Monday, in the latest big delay of the health-law rollout.

The Treasury Department, in regulations outlining the Affordable Care Act, said employers with 50 to 99 full-time workers won’t have to comply with the law’s requirement to provide insurance or pay a fee until 2016. Companies with more workers could avoid some penalties in 2015 if they showed they were offering coverage to at least 70% of full-time workers.

The move came after employers pressured the Obama administration to peel back the law’s insurance requirements. Some firms had trimmed workers’ hours to below 30 hours a week to avoid paying a penalty if they didn’t offer insurance.

A senior administration official said the shift was a response to businesses’ concerns, though the official said no one reason was behind the change.

Under the original 2010 health law, employers with the equivalent of at least 50 full-time workers had to offer coverage or pay a penalty starting at $2,000 a worker beginning in 2014. Last year, the administration delayed the requirement for the first time by moving it to 2015.

The new rules for companies with 50 to 99 workers would cover about 2% of all U.S. businesses, which include 7% of workers, or 7.9 million people, according to 2011 Census figures compiled by the Small Business Administration. The rules for companies with 100 or more workers affect another 2% of businesses, which employ more than 74 million people.

Monday’s announcement of fresh changes comes as the administration weighs how much of the law to adjust in the wake of its troubled rollout. Health care is expected to be a central issue in the November midterm elections.

And, rightfully so.

Obama acts as if we are all merely serfs, and he is the Lord of the Manor, acting completely oblivious to the System of Checks and Balances put in place by the brilliant gentleman whose home he visited yesterday, and the rest of our Founding Fathers.

This is not some Community March he is trying to organize, this is America’s healthcare System, which was already the finest Healthcare System in the World, before he and his mindless minions in Congress started screwing it up.

As I write this, my beloved bride lay in a hospital bed, awaiting a stress test this morning, in order to determine why her blood pressure has skyrocketed.

Needless to say, I am grateful to the One Who Made Me, that Obamacare is not fully implemented, yet.

The harsh reality of my and my family’s future existence being controlled by a Federal Government, who cannot even properly construct a stinkin’ website, makes me glad I place my faith in the God of Abraham and not in a President.

I have actually been told by Liberals and “Fiscal Conservatives” (but, I repeat myself) that I am “selfish” in my concern that, as a lifelong severe asthmatic, I will not have an affordable, life-saving, health insurance plan available to me in 2014, after ObamaCare.

According to projections, which the Obama Administration itself issued back in July 2010, officials knew the devastating impact of ObamaCare three years ago.

Additionally, according to the Federal Register, its mid-range estimate was that by the end of 2014, 76 percent of small group plans would be cancelled, along with 55 percent of large employer plans.

The reason?

Current plans don’t meet the requirements of ObamaCare, which dictate that each plan must cover a list of essential benefits, whether people want them or not.

“Essential benefits” like Free Birth Control and Maternity Care.

Excuse me, Soooper-Geniuses…but, after a certain age, those “benefits” are not longer “essential”.

I am alive today, thanks to the American Healthcare System that your “messiah” and the rest of you Liberal idiots, on both sides of the political aisle, are trying to turn into a money-making arm of the Federal Government, not out of any altruism, but out of an unbridled lust for control of Americans’ lives from cradle to grave.

Take your rapidly-tanking “Affordable Care Act”, along with your over-sized and under-stuffed craniums, do something anatomically impossible…and disappear.

Average Americans, like myself, my family and friends, and the land that we love, will be a lot better off.
