FBI Documents Show They Tried to Frame Flynn, What Did Former AG Eric Holder and Flynn’s Original Attorneys Have in Common?

FoxNews.com reports that

Explosive new internal FBI documents unsealed Wednesday show that top bureau officials discussed their motivations for interviewing then-national security adviser Michael Flynn in the White House in January 2017 — and openly questioned if their “goal” was “to get him to lie, so we can prosecute him or get him fired.”

The handwritten notes — written by the FBI’s former head of counterintelligence Bill Priestap after a meeting with then-FBI Director James Comey and then-FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, Fox News is told — further suggested that agents planned in the alternative to get Flynn “to admit to breaking the Logan Act.”

The Logan Act is an obscure statute that has never been used in a criminal prosecution; enacted in 1799 in an era before telephones, it was intended to prevent individuals from falsely claiming to represent the United States government abroad.

“What is our goal?” one of the notes read. “Truth/Admission or to get him to lie, so we can prosecute him or get him fired?”

“If we get him to admit to breaking the Logan Act, give facts to DOJ + have them decide,” another note read. Constitutional law professor Jonathan Turley called the document’s implications “chilling.”

The memo appears to weigh the pros and cons of pursuing those different paths. “I don’t see how getting someone to admit their wrongdoing is going easy on him,” one note reads. Flynn did not ultimately admit to wrongdoing in the interview.

The document indicates that the White House was monitoring the situation: “If we’re seen as playing games, WH will be furious.”

The bombshell materials strongly suggested the agents weren’t truly concerned about Flynn’s intercepted contacts with then-Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak during the presidential transition period, except as a pretext. Former President Obama personally had warned the Trump administration against hiring Flynn, and made clear he was “not a fan,” according to multiple officials. Obama fired Flynn as head of the Defense Intelligence Agency in 2014.

The Justice Department turned over the documents just this week, even though a February 2018 standing order in the case from United States District Court for the District of Columbia Emmet Sullivan required the government to turn over any exculpatory materials in its possession that pertained to Flynn. Such materials ordinarily do not need to be disclosed to uncharged individuals or those who have already pleaded guilty, Sullivan has ruled.

Fox News is told even more exculpatory documents are forthcoming, as Attorney General Bill Barr continues to oversee the DOJ’s investigation into the handling of the Flynn case.

Flynn previously charged that top FBI officials, including McCabe, pressed him not to have the White House counsel present during the questioning with two agents that led to his guilty plea on a single charge of lying to federal authorities. Flynn was not ultimately charged with any Logan Act violation.

One of Flynn’s interviewing agents was Peter Strzok, who has since been fired from the bureau after his anti-Trump text messages came to light.

Flynn has sought to withdraw his guilty plea and has been seeking exoneration, saying the FBI engaged in “egregious misconduct.” Flynn, who has said more recently that he did not lie to the FBI, pleaded guilty in late 2017 as mounting legal fees pushed him to sell his home.

Flynn has since obtained new counsel — and his old attorneys, it emerged this week, then failed to turn over thousands of documents to his new lawyer, Sidney Powell. Powell has maintained that Flynn’s old lawyers at Covington & Burling had conflicts of interest and were otherwise ineffective, including by not focusing on Strzok’s evident bias.

“Covington & Burling”…where do I know that law firm from? Oh, yeah…I remember.

Back on March 5, 2012, I posted an article which contained the following pertinent information which you may find interesting.

Reuters News recently reported that

U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder and Lanny Breuer, head of the Justice Department’s criminal division, were partners for years at a Washington law firm that represented a Who’s Who of big banks and other companies at the center of alleged foreclosure fraud…

…The firm, Covington & Burling, is one of Washington’s biggest white shoe law firms. Law professors and other federal ethics experts said that federal conflict of interest rules required Holder and Breuer to recuse themselves from any Justice Department decisions relating to law firm clients they personally had done work for.

Both the Justice Department and Covington declined to say if either official had personally worked on matters for the big mortgage industry clients. Justice Department spokeswoman Tracy Schmaler said Holder and Breuer had complied fully with conflict of interest regulations, but she declined to say if they had recused themselves from any matters related to the former clients.

Given these facts, I do not think that it would be beyond the realm of possibility that General Flynn’s original lawyers may not have had his best interests at heart.

The Deep State strikes again.

So, Boys and Girls…here’s the Million Dollar Question: What weasel put these Professional Bureaucrats, who had been in their positions in the previous Administration, up to sabotaging the 45th President of the United States of America from within his Administration by framing National Security Adviser Michael Flynn?

I’ve got three words for ya: Barack Hussein Obama

Faced with the reality of a splintered Democratic Party, which has alienated its base by moving to the Extreme Far Left of the Political Spectrum, this Former President , while still in office, decided to spy on the one candidate who might actually have a chance to beat his own party’s lousy candidate in a fair Presidential Election, through the means of “weaponizing” the FBI and turning it into a “Political Hit Squad”, making the days of J. Edgar Hoover’s political shenanigans seem mild in comparison.

After all that political chicanery failed and the Citizen Statesman became the President, the Former Petulant President Pantywaist encouraged “rebellion”, as if the reality of a nation being torn asunder was some sort of “Star Wars” Movie, through the use of his “benefactor’s”(the Former Nazi Sympathizer) money in the funding of manufactured protests and a Media-Driven, Community -Organizing Assault, which includes the Former President’s own “Organizing For America” Website, which has taken the cheesy name of “The Resistance”.

Meanwhile, the professional bureaucrats within the Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation continued to carry out the mission which their former boss, whom they were still loyal to, had given them: to take down Donald J. Trump by any means necessary.

President Trump and Attorney General Barr need to completely exonerate Lt. General Michael Flynn before Friday.

Then, the indictments of the Deep State Operatives and those who gave them their orders need to be handed down as soon as possible.

Establishment Republican Lindsey Graham “Concerned” Over Trump’s Tweeting About Russia Investigation

watch-lindsey-graham-slam-the-gop-candidates-my-party-has-gone-bats-crazy1

People who lost money when the Stock Market went down 350 points based on the False and Dishonest reporting of Brian Ross of @ABC News (he has been suspended), should consider hiring a lawyer and suing ABC for the damages this bad reporting has caused – many millions of dollars! – President Donald J. Trump via Twitter, 12/3/2017

Reuters.com reports that

A series of tweets by U.S. President Donald Trump about the investigation into contacts between his 2016 campaign and Russia prompted concerns on Sunday among both Democratic and Republican lawmakers, with Republican Senator Lindsey Graham saying Trump could be wading into “peril” by commenting on the probe.

“I would just say this with the president: There’s an ongoing criminal investigation,” Graham said on the CBS program “Face the Nation.”

“You tweet and comment regarding ongoing criminal investigations at your own peril,” he added.

On Sunday morning, Trump wrote on Twitter that he never asked former FBI Director James Comey to stop investigating Michael Flynn, the president’s former national security adviser – a statement at odds with an account Comey himself has given.

That tweet followed one on Saturday in which Trump said: “I had to fire General Flynn because he lied to the Vice President (Mike Pence) and the FBI.”

Legal experts and some Democratic lawmakers said if Trump knew Flynn lied to the Federal Bureau of Investigation and then pressured Comey not to investigate him, that could bolster a charge of obstruction of justice.

Trump’s attorney, John Dowd, told Reuters in an interview on Sunday that he had drafted the Saturday tweet and made “a mistake” when he composed it.

“The mistake was I should have put the lying to the FBI in a separate line referencing his plea,” Dowd said. “Instead, I put it together and it made all you guys go crazy. A tweet is a shorthand.”

Dowd said the first time the president knew for a fact that Flynn lied to the FBI was when he was charged.

Dowd also clouded the issue by saying that then-Acting U.S. Attorney General Sally Yates informed White House counsel Don McGahn in January that Flynn told FBI agents the same thing he told Pence, and that McGahn reported his conversation with Yates to Trump. He said Yates did not characterize Flynn’s conduct as a legal violation.

Dowd said it was the first and last time he would craft a tweet for the president.

”I’ll take responsibility,” he said. “I’m sorry I misled people.”

Yates did not respond to an email seeking comment, and a lawyer for McGahn did not respond to requests for comment.

The White House also did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

‘CONTINUAL TWEETS’

The series of tweets came after a dramatic turn of events on Friday in which Flynn pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about his conversations last December with Russia’s then-ambassador in Washington, Sergei Kislyak, just weeks before Trump entered the White House.

Flynn also agreed to cooperate with prosecutors delving into contacts between Trump’s inner circle and Russia before the president took office.

Senator Dianne Feinstein, the top Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee, said she believed the indictments in the investigation so far and Trump’s “continual tweets” pointed toward an obstruction of justice case.

“I see it most importantly in what happened with the firing of Director Comey. And it is my belief that that is directly because he did not agree to lift the cloud of the Russia investigation. That’s obstruction of justice,” Feinstein said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

“The president knew he (Flynn) had lied to the FBI, which means that when he talked to the FBI director and asked him to effectively drop this case, he knew that Flynn had committed a federal crime,” Adam Schiff, senior Democrat on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, told the ABC program “This Week.”

The Russia matter has dogged Trump’s first year in office, and this weekend overshadowed his first big legislative win when the Senate approved a tax bill.

Flynn was the first member of Trump’s administration to plead guilty to a crime uncovered by Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian attempts to influence the 2016 U.S. election and potential collusion by Trump aides.

Russia has denied meddling in the election and Trump has said there was no collusion.

Comey, who had been investigating the Russia allegations, was fired by Trump in May. He told the U.S. Senate Intelligence Committee in June he believed his dismissal was related to the Russia probe, and said Trump asked him to end the investigation of Flynn.

“I never asked Comey to stop investigating Flynn. Just more Fake News covering another Comey lie!” Trump said on Twitter on Sunday.

On CBS, Graham criticized Comey, saying he believed the former FBI director made some “very, very wrong” decisions during his tenure. But Graham also said Trump should be careful about his tweets.

“I’d be careful if I were you, Mr. President. I’d watch this,” Graham said.

Boys and girls, a couple of obvious points:

  1. It has been revealed that Kushner asked Flynn to contact the Russians AFTER Trump was elected president. Preliminary contact with the Russians by the incoming president and his staff is standard operating procedure and has been done by presidents before Donald J. Trump. There was nothing out of the ordinary about it.
  2. Doesn’t Senator Graham understand that the President’s Chief of Staff would have advised him to stop tweeting about it if the president was in any danger of repercussions?

We live in a “brave new world”, of that there is no doubt.

The vast majority of Americans own cellphones…and are on Twitter.

Yes, the now-280 characters contained in a “Tweet” are definitely not the most eloquent way for a President to be communicating with the American Public, but they are clear, concise, and immediate.

There is no room for “weasel words” in a “Tweet”, unlike the addresses of the individual who occupied the Oval Office before President Trump.

Heck, Obama gave long speeches just so he could refer to himself ad infinitum in them.

According to the Media Research Center, 89 percent of broadcast networks’ coverage of President Donald J. Trump has been negative.

From January 20 to April 9, 1,501 on-air statements about Trump made by experts, carefully selected voters, and reporters were negative, compared to just 186 positive, the study found.

Unfortunately, President-elect Trump will never be able to please the Washington Establishment, like John McCain’s pet, Lindsey Graham, or the Propaganda Arm of the Democratic Party, the Main Stream Media.

Nor should he have to.

The Presidency of the United States of America is the most important leadership position on the Face of God’s Green Earth.

The Main Stream Media knows that.

The problem is, the Political Elite and the Main Stream Media are still having a conniption fit (Southern colloquialism for being upset over something to the point insanity) over the election of Donald J. Trump as the 45th President by us rubes here in Flyover Country.

In fact, they are so upset that they have retaliated by publishing fictional stories, such as the Trump-Russia Collusion Fairy Tale, attributed to “unnamed” sources.

That is why they continue to try to bring down Trump.

They are behaving like spoiled little brats who need a timeout.

And, judging from the TV Ratings of their newscasts and the rapidly dwindling readership of Liberal Newspapers and Magazines, Americans are giving them one.

Meanwhile, POTUS continues to turn up the heat on them via his prolific use of Twitter and blunt to-the-point evisceration of those who wish him to fail.

So, is this just “tacky teasing” or is it a “terrific tactic”?

Actually, I believe that it is a bit of both.

While President Trump is posting his never-ending tweets, he is simultaneously working hard to fulfill his campaign promises, as shown by the 32.2% increase in the Dow since the 2016 Presidential Election.

The Liberal reaction of both anger and false “concern” about the 45th President’s prolific use of Twitter reminds me of a strategy or “tactic” which can be seen in the 1982 movie, “Rocky III’, in a scene in which Rocky “The Italian Stallion” Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) is fighting his heart out in the late stages of a “revenge” match against the animalistic Clubber Lang (Mr. T).

Beaten until he seemingly cannot stand anymore, Rocky starts teasing Clubber to hit him with his best shot. Clubber hits him time and again, while a seemingly unfazed Rocky taunts him, saying, “You ain’t so bad”.

Eventually Clubber wears himself out, giving Rocky the opportunity to beat the living daylights out of him, leaving Clubber lying in the middle of the ring.

By teasing his opponent into a blinding rage, Rocky was able to accomplish his goal of winning back the World Heavyweight Championship.

By teasing the Vichy Republicans, Democrat Party and their Propaganda Arm, the Main Stream Media, in a similar fashion, President Trump has made them vulnerable, just as Rocky made Clubber, as this past week has shown with the suspension of Brian Ross for posting that Fake News Story involving Kushner, Flynn, and the Russians that the Reuters article referred to.

Trump is not a professional politicians. He thinks like an average American, saying and tweeting what is on his mind.

Tacky teasing? Most definitely.

Terrific tactic? Most assuredly.

Isn’t Modern Technology wonderful?

Flynn Pleads Guilty. “Dogs and Cats Living Together”? Or a Great Big “Nothingburger”?

michael-flynn

Yesterday, after I arrived at work, I checked the news on my cell phone and found out that Michael Flynn had pleaded guilty to 1 count of lying to the FBI.

Every Liberal Internet Troll still living in their Mom’s Basement, suddenly switched over to their high-octane fuel (that’s right: Flaming Hot Cheetos) and hit their computer keyboards with a rapturous excitement that they had not felt since Dad agreed that they didn’t have to move out after college.

But what does this mean?

Opinions vary…as FoxNews.com reports…

Former White House national security adviser Michael Flynn pleaded guilty Friday to lying to the FBI about contacting Russian officials on behalf of then-President-elect Donald Trump.

The plea by Flynn, the first White House official to be charged in special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation, electrified Washington and set off intense debate among legal minds about what it portended for the future of the Trump White House.

Andrew McCarthy, a former Assistant U.S. Attorney, argued that Flynn’s admission may not be a significant break in Mueller’s investigation.

“[Flynn], like [former Trump campaign adviser George] Papadopoulos … is being permitted to plead guilty to a mere process crime,” McCarthy wrote on National Review Online. “[F]or for all the furor, we have a small-potatoes plea in Flynn’s case … despite extensive ‘collusion’ evidence.”

McCarthy went on to argue that “[i]t is becoming increasingly palpable that, whatever ‘collusion’ means, there was no actionable, conspiratorial complicity by the Trump campaign in the Kremlin’s machinations.” McCarthy also noted that Mueller’s other significant criminal case, against Trump’s former campaign chairman Paul Manafort, “has nothing to do with the 2016 election.”

However, Los Angeles defense attorney Ken White, himself a former assistant U.S. attorney, posted on Twitter that he was not as confident as McCarthy in the absence of a wider conspiracy.

“You generally spell out the entire conspiracy in a cooperator’s guilty plea — in many cases,” White wrote. “With more sophisticated cooperators … you play the cards closer to the vest.

“Yes, you’d get a drug mule to spill to the whole conspiracy in the plea to lock them in,” White added. “A Flynn? Maybe not.”

National security lawyer Steve Vladeck echoed White, tweeting that “the story isn’t that Michael Flynn is pleading guilty. It’s what he’s giving Mueller in exchange for such a minor charge …”

“We may not know the answer to that for some time,” Vladeck added, “but I have to think it’s substantial.”

Fox News judicial analyst Andrew Napolitano was less circumspect, characterizing Flynn’s plea as “a nightmare for Donald Trump” and “probably the tip of a prosecutorial iceberg.”

However, Napolitano also told “Shepard Smith Reporting” that if Trump told Flynn to reach out to Russian officials after his election last year, that may not be an impeachable offense, though “they certainly are in the category of offenses that are impeachable.”

“Beyond this, the president of the United States has steadfastly, repeatedly and consistently denied that he had any knowledge of any involvement with the Russians,” Napolitano added. “If Gen. Flynn contradicts that in a credible way under oath, we have a very serious problem on our hands.”

Rush Limbaugh, as he always does, gave a very concise explanation of the situation during his program yesterday…

We are right where we all knew we were going. Back on June 8th, I told everybody there’s not any evidence of collusion. We’re headed towards a process crime, which is exactly what happened today. We’ve all known this day was coming. And because the Drive-Bys have been salivating for this story to amount to something that it never will amount to, what today really means is that we are now looking forward to another six months of intense news stories, allegations of Trump-Russia collusion. But there wasn’t any. Flynn does not know of any, and he’s not going to report any. Now, let’s start at the other end of this. Because that is… I could have teased you. I could have led you along here and taken 20 minutes to get there, but I have never toyed with the people in this audience.

I’ve never dangled carrots out there and tricked you into waiting for what the payoff is. Now, there are some things that you need to keep in mind about this as we begin to unpack this. The first thing to know is that Michael Flynn worked in the Obama administration and was despised personally by Barack Obama. Obama hated Flynn. Flynn was at the Defense Intelligence Agency, and Flynn had a much different view and take on militant Islamic terrorism than Obama, and Flynn was constantly lobbying for foreign policy that would deal with militant Islamic terrorism in the way he thought it presented a threat.

As we know, in Obama’s world there is no militant Islamic terrorism because Islam is a religion of peace. I’m not exaggerating here. I’m not trying to be snarky about Obama. I’m telling you just straight up and down: Obama doesn’t believe in militant Islamic terrorism, as far as every public statement he’s ever made. There was a genuine policy disagreement and a genuine personality clash, and this is why Flynn was being surveilled by the Obama administration during the transition.

Or I should say the Russian ambassador who went to lunch all the time was being surveilled, and it was Michael Flynn during his phone calls that was unmasked by the Obama administration. Flynn worked for Trump for 25 days and was fired for lying. Trump is the one who fired Flynn for lying. Obama never did. During the transition, Obama personally told Trump not to bring Flynn into his administration.

So deep was the animus that Obama had for Flynn that he actually suggested and warned Trump, “Don’t go there. The guy is a bad actor.” (interruption) What? Brian Ross? Okay. Well, let’s go back to the end again if you want more of this. Brian Ross of the ABC News is the only source for this. Breaking news, ABC: Michael Flynn has promised to flip on Trump, to flip on Trump, to flip on Trump’s family, flip to the White House staff.

Brian Ross of ABC News is the only source to report this. Who is Brian Ross? Brian Ross is the investigative reporters for ABC News who — during a mass shooting in Colorado at a movie theater — immediately began looking to see if the shooter could be a member of the Tea Party. So they found membership rosters of Tea Party members, and, lo and behold, they found of a name in the Tea Party roster that was the same name as the shooter.

So Brian Ross, without knowing, heads to the nearest camera and alludes to the possibility the shooter could be a member of the Tea Party. It turned out not to be true. ABC News is reporting that “Flynn is prepared to testify that Trump directed him to make contact with the Russians,” and this is why: “to lay the groundwork for mutual efforts against ISIS in Syria.” That’s the big breaking news from ABC.

Ladies and gentlemen, that is exactly the sort of thing an incoming national security adviser is supposed to do in a transition between administrations. Flynn is supposed “to make contact with the Russians … to lay the groundwork for mutual efforts against ISIS in Syria.” There’s nothing here about undermining current Obama policy, which is what ABC and CNN and the others are trying to make you think is that Flynn was talking to the Russians to try to undermine Obama and his newly placed sanctions on Russian delegates and ambassadors and aides and so forth in the United States.

But the incoming national security adviser making “contact with the Russians … to lay the groundwork for mutual efforts against ISIS in Syria” is exactly what happens during every transition. It is exactly the sort of thing the incoming national security adviser is supposed to do. Now, if this… And this is the key thing about it. If this were part of the basis for a collusion case arising out of Russia’s election meddling, then Flynn would not be pleading guilty to a process crime today.

He would be pleading to an espionage conspiracy. At the end of the day, this remains a process crime. He lied to FBI agents. And if there were collusion, if Flynn were promising to spill the beans on collusion, then he would not just be pleading guilty to a process crime. “But, Rush! But, Rush! He could be… He could have made the deal and that could be what Mueller’s…” No, no, no. Not at this stage. You dangle that carrot down the road.

So, the reality of the situation is that there still is no proven collusion between President Trump and the Russians.

What appears to have happened, as Rush said, are activities that would have been considered S.O.P. in any other incoming Administration.

What has changed is the advent of the bizarre out-of-control National Temper Tantrum by Modern American Liberals which has been raging since the votes were counted on the night of November 8, 2016.

As I have written before, the frenzy which those who are still grieving Hillary’s loss has consumed their very souls in such a manner that they have metamorphosed into a group resembling an old West Lynch Mob.

And that mob stretches from UC Berkeley to Capitol Hill.

They want a hanging, and by gum, there WILL be a “hanging”, even is it has to be Donald Trump, Jr., in order to teach the President a “lesson” as to who is REALLY in charge of this country.

Their problem is, as Rush said, all they have right now is a Process Crime.

The other problem with any testimony that Flynn might give is the fact that he lost his job at the White House for LYING.

So, that tarnishes the veracity of anything he might say.

In other words, this may turn out to be a great big “nothingburger”.

As the Witch Hunt continues…

Trouble at 1600: Flynn’s Gone, But the “Deep State Spies” Remain. Who is “Organizing” Them?

cookware-001

One’s concern with the ethics of means and ends varies inversely with one’s personal interest in the issue. – Saul Alinsky, “Rules For Radicals”, 1971

Damon Linker, writing for TheWeek.com, reports that…

The United States is much better off without Michael Flynn serving as national security adviser. But no one should be cheering the way he was brought down. The whole episode is evidence of the precipitous and ongoing collapse of America’s democratic institutions — not a sign of their resiliency. Flynn’s ouster was a soft coup (or political assassination) engineered by anonymous intelligence community bureaucrats. The results might be salutary, but this isn’t the way a liberal democracy is supposed to function.

Unelected intelligence analysts work for the president, not the other way around. Far too many Trump critics appear not to care that these intelligence agents leaked highly sensitive information to the press — mostly because Trump critics are pleased with the result. “Finally,” they say, “someone took a stand to expose collusion between the Russians and a senior aide to the president!” It is indeed important that someone took such a stand. But it matters greatly who that someone is and how they take their stand. Members of the unelected, unaccountable intelligence community are not the right someone, especially when they target a senior aide to the president by leaking anonymously to newspapers the content of classified phone intercepts, where the unverified, unsubstantiated information can inflict politically fatal damage almost instantaneously.

 Donald J. Trump  ✔ @realDonaldTrump

“The real story here is why are there so many illegal leaks coming out of Washington? Will these leaks be happening as I deal on N.Korea etc?”

President Trump was roundly mocked among liberals for that tweet. But he is, in many ways, correct. These leaks are an enormous problem. And in a less polarized context, they would be recognized immediately for what they clearly are: an effort to manipulate public opinion for the sake of achieving a desired political outcome. It’s weaponized spin.

This doesn’t mean the outcome was wrong. I have no interest in defending Flynn, who appears to be an atrocious manager prone to favoring absurd conspiracy theories over more traditional forms of intelligence. He is just about the last person who should be giving the president advice about foreign policy. And for all I know, Flynn did exactly what the anonymous intelligence community leakers allege — promised the Russian ambassador during the transition that the incoming Trump administration would back off on sanctions proposed by the outgoing Obama administration.

But no matter what Flynn did, it is simply not the role of the deep state to target a man working in one of the political branches of the government by dishing to reporters about information it has gathered clandestinely. It is the role of elected members of Congress to conduct public investigations of alleged wrongdoing by public officials.

What if Congress won’t act? What if both the Senate and the House of Representatives are held by the same party as the president and members of both chambers are reluctant to cross a newly elected head of the executive branch who enjoys overwhelming approval of his party’s voters? In such a situation — our situation — shouldn’t we hope the deep state will rise up to act responsibly to take down a member of the administration who may have broken the law?

The answer is an unequivocal no.

In a liberal democracy, how things happen is often as important as what happens. Procedures matter. So do rules and public accountability. The chaotic, dysfunctional Trump White House is placing the entire system under enormous strain. That’s bad. But the answer isn’t to counter it with equally irregular acts of sabotage — or with a disinformation campaign waged by nameless civil servants toiling away in the surveillance state.

As Eli Lake of Bloomberg News put it in an important article following Flynn’s resignation,

“Normally intercepts of U.S. officials and citizens are some of the most tightly held government secrets. This is for good reason. Selectively disclosing details of private conversations monitored by the FBI or NSA gives the permanent state the power to destroy reputations from the cloak of anonymity. This is what police states do. [Bloomberg]”

Those cheering the deep state torpedoing of Flynn are saying, in effect, that a police state is perfectly fine so long as it helps to bring down Trump.

It is the role of Congress to investigate the president and those who work for him. If Congress resists doing its duty, out of a mixture of self-interest and cowardice, the American people have no choice but to try and hold the government’s feet to the fire, demanding action with phone calls, protests, and, ultimately, votes. That is a democratic response to the failure of democracy.

Sitting back and letting shadowy, unaccountable agents of espionage do the job for us simply isn’t an acceptable alternative.

Down that path lies the end of democracy in America.

So, Boys and Girls…here’s the Million Dollar Question: What weasel put these Professional Bureaucrats, who had been in their positions in the previous Administration, up to betraying the 45th President of the United States of America with no regard as to our National Security?

I’ve got three words for ya: PETULANT PRESIDENT PANTYWAIST.

And, that’s not all that the Former Community Organizer and Ex-President of the United States of America is doing to ruin Trump’s Presidency and the country that he was previously sworn to protect right along with it.

In an article published last Saturday in The New York Post, titled, “How Obama is scheming to sabotage Trump’s Presidency”, author Paul Sperry wrote that

When former President Barack Obama said he was “heartened” by anti-Trump protests, he was sending a message of approval to his troops. Troops? Yes, Obama has an army of agitators — numbering more than 30,000 — who will fight his Republican successor at every turn of his historic presidency. And Obama will command them from a bunker less than two miles from the White House.

In what’s shaping up to be a highly unusual post-presidency, Obama isn’t just staying behind in Washington. He’s working behind the scenes to set up what will effectively be a shadow government to not only protect his threatened legacy, but to sabotage the incoming administration and its popular “America First” agenda.

He’s doing it through a network of leftist nonprofits led by Organizing for Action. Normally you’d expect an organization set up to support a politician and his agenda to close up shop after that candidate leaves office, but not Obama’s OFA. Rather, it’s gearing up for battle, with a growing war chest and more than 250 offices across the country.

Since Donald Trump’s election, this little-known but well-funded protesting arm has beefed up staff and ramped up recruitment of young liberal activists, declaring on its website, “We’re not backing down.” Determined to salvage Obama’s legacy, it’s drawing battle lines on immigration, ObamaCare, race relations and climate change.

Obama is intimately involved in OFA operations and even tweets from the group’s account. In fact, he gave marching orders to OFA foot soldiers following Trump’s upset victory.

“It is fine for everybody to feel stressed, sad, discouraged,” he said in a conference call from the White House. “But get over it.” He demanded they “move forward to protect what we’ve accomplished.”

Far from sulking, OFA activists helped organize anti-Trump marches across US cities, some of which turned into riots. After Trump issued a temporary ban on immigration from seven terror-prone Muslim nations, the demonstrators jammed airports, chanting: “No ban, no wall, sanctuary for all!”

Run by old Obama aides and campaign workers, federal tax records show “nonpartisan” OFA marshals 32,525 volunteers nationwide. Registered as a 501(c)(4), it doesn’t have to disclose its donors, but they’ve been generous. OFA has raised more than $40 million in contributions and grants since evolving from Obama’s campaign organization Obama for America in 2013.

OFA, in IRS filings, says it trains young activists to develop “organizing skills.” Armed with Obama’s 2012 campaign database, OFA plans to get out the vote for Democratic candidates it’s grooming to win back Congress and erect a wall of resistance to Trump at the other end of Pennsylvania Avenue.

It will be aided in that effort by the Obama Foundation, run by Obama’s former political director, and the National Democratic Redistricting Committee, launched last month by Obama pal Eric Holder to end what he and Obama call GOP “gerrymandering” of congressional districts.

Obama will be overseeing it all from a shadow White House located within two miles of Trump. It features a mansion, which he’s fortifying with construction of a tall brick perimeter, and a nearby taxpayer-funded office with his own chief of staff and press secretary. Michelle Obama will also open an office there, along with the Obama Foundation.

The 55-year-old Obama is not content to go quietly into the night like other ex-presidents.

Critical to the fight is rebuilding the ravaged Democratic Party. Obama hopes to install his former civil rights chief Tom Perez at the helm of the Democratic National Committee.

Perez is running for the vacant DNC chairmanship, vowing, “It’s time to organize and fight . . . We must stand up to protect President Obama’s accomplishments,” while also promising, “We’re going to build the strongest grassroots organizing force this country has ever seen.”

The 55-year-old Obama is not content to go quietly into the night like other ex-presidents.

“You’re going to see me early next year,” he told his OFA troops after the election, “and we’re going to be in a position where we can start cooking up all kinds of great stuff.”

Added the ex-president: “Point is, I’m still fired up and ready to go.”

At the beginning of this post is a quote from Saul Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals”, a favorite of the 60s counter culture, which was also on the reading list of the 44th President of the United States, Barack Hussein Obama, and his First Secretary of State and Failed 2016 Democratic Party Presidential Candidate, Hillary Rodham Clinton.  Let’s look at rule #8 – rule #13:

8. Keep the pressure on with different tactics and actions, and utilize all events of the period for your purpose.

9. The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.

10. The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition.

11. If you push a negative hard and deep enough, it will break through into its counterside.

12. The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative.

13. Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.

It’s very apparent from what is happening during Trump’s Presidency that somebody’s read Alinsky’s book.

In American Politics, as far as anybody can remember, that is still alive and kicking, you have had those of a political ideology who were Pro-American and Gung Ho about all the things that this country stands for. And, on the other side, you had those of a political ideology who criticized everything that America stood for, and still stands for, to this day.

From those who believed that Communism would be great for America back in the 1950s, to those in the 1960’s, who wanted to “tune in, turn on, and drop out”, and spit on our returning Servicemen, to those of the 1970s who were naive pacifists like their President, Jimmy Carter, to those in the 1980s, who were part of the “Me Generation”, to those whom we call “Progressives” (a misnomer) or “Modern Liberals” in our present generation, Including President Barack Hussein Obama and all of his minions, there has always been a minority segment of American Society, who despise everything that this land, which was given us by the Almighty and was fought for and died for by those before us, stands for, while they reap all the benefits of America the Beautiful.

As I have written, during Obama’s two terms as President, America suffered under a “Tyranny of the Minority”.

Obama owes everything that he is to the benevolence and largess of America and her people.

In his tenure as President, he proved that he was president of some of the people, not all of the people.

And, those of us, whom his failed political ideology did not appeal to, had enough of his failed leadership and decided not to go “quietly into that good night” by voting for Donald J. Trump,  instead of Obama’s chosen successor, Hillary Rodham Clinton.

So now, it is apparent that Ex-President Obama and his Mentor and Benefactor George Soros are going to try to make average Americans submit to their political ideology of “forced Socialism through Fascism” by sabotaging the Presidency of Donald J. Trump “by any means necessary”.

As I have written before, George Soros needs to be deported…NOW!

As far as the “clean and articulate” Ex-President is concerned…

Can an Ex-President be tried for TREASON?

Until He Comes,

Flynn Resigns Over an Appearance of Impropriety. His Actions Pale in Comparison to What the Obama Administration Got By With.

michael-flynn-warns-iran-2017

Be prepared for a torrent of Fake News today.

NBC News reported late last night that

Michael Flynn abruptly resigned as President Donald Trump’s national security adviser Monday night, hours after it was learned that the Justice Department informed the White House that it believed he could be subject to blackmail. Retired Army Gen. Keith Kellogg, a top policy adviser for Trump’s presidential campaign, was appointed acting national security adviser, the White House said in a statement announcing Flynn’s replacement.

Flynn’s status was considered perilous after it was disclosed that he had misled Vice President Mike Pence and other senior officials about his communications with Russia’s ambassador to the United States, a senior U.S. official told NBC News.

The U.S. official confirmed part of a report in The Washington Post, which quoted current and former U.S. officials Monday as saying Sally Yates, then the acting attorney general, delivered the message to White House counsel Donald McGahn.

The Post reported that Yates was privy to FBI monitoring showing that Flynn discussed sanctions on Russia with Ambassador Sergei Kislyak — even though Flynn told administration officials that he hadn’t. Pence repeated the misinformation in national television appearances.

Trump fired Yates as acting attorney general late last month after she directed Justice Department lawyers not to defend his executive order on immigration.

A senior intelligence official confirmed to NBC News last week that Flynn discussed the sanctions, which the Obama administration imposed to punish Russia for its campaign to interfere in the presidential election.Related: Flynn in Hot Seat Over Discussing Sanctions With Russians

The intelligence official said there had been no finding inside the government that Flynn did anything illegal.

But Monday, the only clear thing about Flynn’s status was that it is unclear.

White House counselor Kellyanne Conway told NBC News on Monday that Flynn still has the full confidence of the president, appearing to signal that Flynn’s job is safe.

But moments later, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said the president was “evaluating the situation” and was talking with Pence about his discussions with Flynn.

Spicer confirmed reports that Flynn had called Pence to apologize.

Trump pointedly declined to answer reporters’ questions about Flynn on Monday afternoon, saying only, “We just put out a statement.”

By contrast, he was effusive in his praise for White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus, saying: “Reince is doing a great job. Great. Not a good job. A great job.”

Flynn did the right thing.

Even if he has done nothing wrong, the new Administration cannot afford to give the Democrats, who are still in the midst of a National Temper Tantrum over losing on November 8, 2016, any ammunition, such as the look of impropriety, with which to exaggerate and create more Fake News out of.

It’s funny that the Democrats and their Propaganda Arm, the Main Stream Media, are so interested in “impropriety in Trump’s Administration, when, for 8 long years, they turned a blind eye to all of the improper shenanigans occurring during the Obama Administration.

For an example of what I am referring to, here is an excerpt from an article I published on June 5, 2015, titled “Obama and Muslim Brotherhood Still “Going Steady””…

The Washington Times reports that

President Obama and his administration continue to support the global Islamist militant group known the Muslim Brotherhood. A White House strategy document regards the group as a moderate alternative to more violent Islamist groups like al Qaeda and the Islamic State.

The policy of backing the Muslim Brotherhood is outlined in a secret directive called Presidential Study Directive-11, or PSD-11. The directive was produced in 2011 and outlines administration support for political reform in the Middle East and North Africa, according to officials familiar with the classified study.

Efforts to force the administration to release the directive or portions of it under the Freedom of Information Act have been unsuccessful.

White House National Security Council spokeswoman Bernadette Meehan declined to comment on PSD-11. “We have nothing for you on this,” she said.

The directive outlines why the administration has chosen the Muslim Brotherhood, which last year was labeled a terrorist organization by the governments of Saudi Arabia, Egypt and the United Arab Emirates as a key vehicle of U.S. backing for so-called political reform in the Middle East. Saudi Arabia in recent months appears to be moderating its opposition to the Brotherhood in a bid to gain more regional support against pro-Iran rebels in Yemen.

The UAE government also has labeled two U.S. affiliates of the Muslim Brotherhood, the Council on American-Islamic Relations and the Muslim American Society, as terrorist support groups. Both groups denied the UAE claims. Egypt is considering imposing a death sentence on Mohamed Morsi, the Muslim Brotherhood-backed former president who was ousted in military coup in July 2013.

Critics of the administration’s strategy say the Brotherhood masks its goals and objectives despite advocating an extremist ideology similar to those espoused by al Qaeda and the Islamic State, but with less violence. The group’s motto includes the phrase “jihad is our way.” Jihad means holy war and is the Islamist battle cry.

Counterterrorism analyst Patrick Poole said the Brotherhood in recent weeks has stepped up its use of violent attacks in Egypt.

“The failed Obama Doctrine that so-called ‘moderate Islamists’ were going to usher in a glorious era of peace and democracy in the Middle East was adopted by the administration because that’s what the foreign policy establishment going back to the George W. Bush administration proclaimed as gospel,” Mr. Poole said.

“And now we see as a result Egypt fighting a terror campaign by the ‘moderate’ Muslim Brotherhood; we have a failed state in Libya; and we see NATO ally Turkey turning from secular democracy to religious totalitarianism under Obama’s pal [Turkish President Recep Tayyip] Erdogan.

“This dangerous foreign policy was launched by PSD-11 and the administration’s open embrace of the Muslim Brotherhood, and now we can see its catastrophic effect,” Mr. Poole added.

Frank Gaffney, head of the Center for Security Policy, extensively documented Muslim Brotherhood subversion efforts, both in the United States and abroad.

Mr. Gaffney has said the Muslim Brotherhood is the most dangerous group promoting the totalitarian and Islamist supremacist doctrine of Sharia. Several Muslim Brotherhood supporters have been identified as key advisers to Mr. Obama, according to Mr. Gaffney.

Egyptian press reports after the ouster of Mr. Morsi have revealed extensive cooperation between the CIA and the Muslim Brotherhood during Mr. Morsi’s presidency.

Please allow me to remind you who these guys are…

Founded in 1928 by the Egyptian schoolteacher/activist Hasan al-Banna (a devout admirer of Adolf Hitler and the Nazis), the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) — a Sunni entity — is one of the oldest, largest and most influential Islamist organizations in the world. While Egypt historically has been the center of the Brotherhood’s operations, the group today is active in more than 70 countries (some estimates range as high as 100+). Islam expert Robert Spencer has called MB “the parent organization of Hamas and al Qaeda.” In 2003, Richard Clarke – the chief counterterrorism advisor on the U.S. National Security Council during both the Bill Clinton and George W. Bush administrations – told a Senate committee that Hamas, al Qaeda, and Palestinian Islamic Jihad were all “descendants of the membership and ideology of the Muslim Brothers.”

MB was established in accordance with al-Banna’s proclamation that Islam should be “given hegemony over all matters of life.” Toward that end, the Brotherhood seeks to establish an Islamic caliphate, or kingdom — first spanning all of the present-day Muslim world, and eventually the entire globe. The organization further aspires to dismantle all non-Islamic governments wherever they currently exist, and to make Islamic Law (Shari’a) the sole basis of jurisprudence everywhere on earth. This purpose is encapsulated in the Brotherhood’s militant credo: “God is our objective, the Koran is our Constitution, the Prophet is our leader, struggle [jihad] is our way, and death for the sake of God is the highest of our aspirations.”

Consistent with the foregoing credo, MB since its founding has supported the use of armed struggle, or jihad, against non-Muslim “infidels.” As al-Banna himself wrote: “Jihad is an obligation from Allah on every Muslim and cannot be ignored nor evaded.” Added al-Banna: “It is the nature of Islam to dominate, not to be dominated, to impose its law on all nations and to extend its power to the entire planet.”

…Embracing Hasan al-Banna’s belief that Islam is destined to eventually dominate all the world, MB today is global in its reach, wielding influence in almost every country with a Muslim population. Moreover, it maintains political parties in many Middle-Eastern and African countries, including Jordan, Bahrain, Tunisia, Algeria, Jordan, Iraq, Syria, Sudan, Somalia, Yemen, and even Israel. Not only does the Brotherhood exist in Israel proper, but its Palestinian chapter created the terrorist organization Hamas, through which MB has supported terrorism against Israel ever since. Article II of the Hamas charter explicitly identifies Hamas as “one of the wings of Moslem Brotherhood in Palestine.” In January 2006 Hamas defeated the rival Fatah party to win the Palestinian legislative elections, thereby becoming the first branch of MB to control an official government.

Outside of the Middle East, MB exercises a strong influence in Muslim communities throughout Europe. Among the more prominent Brotherhood organizations in the region are: the Forum of European Muslim Youth and Student Organizations, the Muslim Association of Britain, the European Council for Fatwa and Research, the Islamische Gemeinschaft Deutschland (IGD), and the Union des Organisations Islamiques de France (UOIF).

…In early February 2011, Muhammad Ghannem, a leading member of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, told the Iranian news network Al-Alam that “the people [of Egypt] should be prepared for war against Israel,” emphasizing that “the Egyptian people are prepared for anything to get rid of this regime.” That objective was entirely consistent with former MB Supreme Guide Muhammad Mahdi Othman Akef’s 2007 assertion that his organization had never recognized Israel and never would: “Our lexicon does not include anything called ‘Israel.’ The [only thing] we acknowledge is the existence of Zionist gangs that have occupied Arab lands and deported the residents. If they want to live among us, it will have to be as [residents of] Palestine.”

And those are the Radical Islamists, the enemies of our country, which President Barack Hussein Obama and his Administration chose to invite to the White House on several occasions during his presidency.

Because of his background, Obama innately trusted Muslims…even radical ones.

And yet, the Main Stream Media ignored the impropriety of sworn enemies of America cozying up to a Sitting President.

They also ignored the fact, as I have documented in other posts, that Huma Abedin, Hillary Clinton’s Personal Aide and BFF, has close relatives in the Muslim Brotherhood.

So, while Michael Flynn did the right thing last night, by filing his resignation, what he did pales in comparison to what the Obama Administration got away with for 8 long, nightmarish years.

So, today, the Liberal Democrat Politicians and “Broadcast Journalists” need to remember the history of the Obama Administration and its many improprieties, before they attempt to pick the bones of the Trump Administration over Flynn’s Resignation.

People in glass houses should not throw stones.

Until He Comes,
