New Year’s Day 2024: A New Time For Choosing

As we begin a New Year, we find our Sovereign Nation more divided than it has been in decades, almost as it was before the start of the Civil War.

In the past few years, Americans have had to endure a devastating coronavirus, released by Communist China, which took a  horrible toll in terms of American lives, businesses, and jobs.

Then, just as Americans were starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel, it turned out to be an oncoming train in the form of Election Fraud, in which a demented old man, who could not even draw a campaign crowd of 200, supposedly inspired 80 million Americans to vote him in as President of the United States of America.

Now, in 2024, in the last (Thank God) year of the worst Presidency in American History, the Democratic Hierarchy and the Vichy Republicans have proven that they care more about keeping former President Donald J Trump out of the 2024 Presidential Election by using Political Lawfare against him or through appointed judges and politicians in Blue States attenpting to disqualify him through specious use of the 14th Amendment, laundering money by sending it to Ukraine, leaving our Southern Border wide open, and spending taxpayer dollars giving special interest groups “free” money than in making our Sovereign Nation stronger and making the lives of average Americans better.

Why are those who claim to be our “public servants” so adamant about going against the wishes of the American people?

According to a man who was an American Legend, it all has to do with the way Liberals look at things…

…I always thought I was a liberal but I came up terribly surprised when I found I was a right-wing conservative extremist…I have always listened to every human being I’ve ever met about how I should feel.  But this so-called new liberal group… they never listen to your point of view and they make a decision as to what you think and they’re articulate enough and in control of enough of the press to force that image out for the average person.  For some reason, maybe it’s these pictures, they have not been able to do that with me…it hasn’t affected my career in popularity in spite of the fact that they’ve tried to make them do it.  There isn’t a hell of a lot we can do to change human behavior.  We keep making laws to try to change human behavior but we can’t do it…You’re being conned into Keynesianism and socialism now but it isn’t going to stop the selfishness of human behavior.  It isn’t going to stop the greed.  If you take $20 and give a dollar to every son of a b!tch in the room, you come back a year later one of the b@st@rds will have most of the money.  It’s just human nature.  We’re never gonna whip it with a lot of laws. 

As communication gets better and you make people conscious of somebody in trouble, starving or something like that, the average person will help…I think there are people who try to affect a thinking where they know more than some other son of a b!tch and try to pull a false impression on what human nature is.  We’ve proven we go back to hope at the first opportunity…and bam they’re out there ready to grab it.  So we are optimistic; we have to be optimistic.  What else would we be if you lose optimism?” –  John Wayne

The negativity and bitterness of the Modern American Liberals to whom the Duke was referring has been on display for the entire world to see, ever since the night of November 8, 2016, when reality threw a bucket of cold water in their faces, putting them on notice that average Americans were tired of their failed political philosophy and their perpetually morose opinion about the Greatest Country on the Face of the Earth.

For 8 long years under Barack Hussein Obamaand continuing with the election of Donald J Trump as the 45th President of the United States of America, there has been a constant chorus provided by the Nattering Nabobs of Negativism, now known as Modern American Liberals, concerning how uncaring, how bigoted, how xenophobic, how narrow-minded, and how just plain awful and stupid average Americans are to continue to love this country, to honor its flag, and to continue to hold dear the America Legacy of Traditional Faith and Values.

For proof of this, please check out the Kangaroo Court known as the J6 Committee Hearings and the ongoing protests supporting Radical Islamic Terrorists of Hamas.

Luckily, the overwhelming majority of those of us who live between the coasts do not live our lives like the mindless lemmings whom I have named the “New Bolsheviks” and the “New Politboro” in Washington DC.

The rugged individualism of previous generations of Americans flows through our veins. The American “Can-Do” Spirit has taken us from the bottom of the Ocean to the surface of the moon.

The overwhelming majority of Americans will stand by one another in times of crisis, as shown by the outpouring of support throughout natural disasters like tornadoes and hurricanes and horrible events such as wildfires.

The intestinal fortitude that is our heritage as Americans…along with that Still, Small Voice which still resides in each and every one of us, will continue, I pray, to guide our nation, and spur us on, to stay vigilant and protect our American Freedom, just as my Parents’ Generation did, against the Axis of Evil.

It is that same Divine Spark which leads our Best and Brightest as they protest and serve our nation’s interests in all corners of the globe. It is also found in our First Responders and the men and women of Law Enforcement who are willing to give their lives to protect our municipalities.

The Great Communicator, President Ronald Reagan, summarized what I have been trying to say better than I ever could.

In 1964, in his famous stump speech, “A Time for Choosing”, The Great Communicator said,

It’s time we asked ourselves if we still know the freedoms intended for us by the Founding Fathers. James Madison said, “We base all our experiments on the capacity of mankind for self government.”

This idea — that government was beholden to the people, that it had no other source of power — is still the newest, most unique idea in all the long history of man’s relation to man. This is the issue of this election: Whether we believe in our capacity for self-government or whether we abandon the American Revolution and confess that a little intellectual elite in a far-distant capital can plan our lives for us better than we can plan them ourselves.

You and I are told we must choose between a left or right, but I suggest there is no such thing as a left or right. There is only an up or down. Up to man’s age-old dream–the maximum of individual freedom consistent with order — or down to the ant heap of totalitarianism.

As we enter the New Year with an uncertain and frightening future facing our country, it will be up to us to continue what was begun on the night of November 8, 2016 and continue the fight to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, regardless of the words and actions of those who wish to change America into a totalitarian Marxist third-world barrio.

While I do not know what tomorrow holds, I know Who holds tomorrow…and me.

Trump Vs. “The Squad” Continues…Why They Will Fail

FoxNews.com reports that

President Trump’s feud with four freshman congresswomen known collectively as the “Squad” dragged into its second week as the president sought Monday to flip the script on those accusing him of stirring racial tensions.

In a blistering morning tweet — and comments afterward to reporters in the Oval Office — the president accused those same lawmakers of racism.

“The ‘Squad’ is a very Racist group of troublemakers who are young, inexperienced, and not very smart,” Trump tweeted.

The president appeared to elaborate while speaking to reporters alongside visiting Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan. The president warned that the congresswomen are “really bad for our country” and made reference to when Rep. Ayanna Pressley, D-Mass., recently reacted to criticism from the Congressional Black Caucus by saying, “We don’t need black faces that don’t want to be a black voice.”

That statement from Pressley came in the midst of an ugly fight with members of the Democratic establishment led by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, but the two sides united against Trump after he tweeted two weekends ago that the lawmakers should “go back” where they came from and return once they’ve fixed problems at home (though all but one of the intended targets are from America). Democrats came together to issue a resolution condemning the remarks, which they described as racist.

The freshman lawmakers — Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib and Pressley  — have kept up the criticism of Trump ever since, especially after a rally crowd broke out in chants of “send her back” last week. Trump later distanced himself from that chant, which had been directed at Omar, who was born in Somalia.

“The President is sowing violence,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted Monday, accusing him of “authoritarian behavior.”

Omar over the weekend called him a “racist president” who “wants every black/brown person deported and Muslims banned.”

Trump, speaking in the Oval Office, said that the congresswomen “must hate our country,” and that they were doing harm to their colleagues on the left.

“I think they’re very bad for the Democratic Party,” Trump said.

“When they talk about disgusting people, when they talk the way they talk,” the president said, “it’s not what our country’s all about.”

Meanwhile, Trump insisted there was “no racial tension,” and that “we have fantastic relationships with the African-American community.”

Saturday night, after a hard day’s work, my bride and I settled down in our matching recliners with the built-in caddy between them to watch one of our favorite movies, the John Wayne Classic “Rio Bravo”.

The reason that I am telling you this is that the Duke had the “Squad’s” number way back in 1975.

We Americans would be just like “The Four Horsewomen of the Apocalypse”…a bunch of Socialist Losers.

On a Sunday, in October of 2008, outside of Toledo, Ohio, Democratic Presidential Nominee Barack Hussein Obama met a plumber named Joe Wurzelbacher. Joe, who owned his own plumbing company, dared to ask Obama about his proposed tax hikes. In fact, he told Obama that he did not want to pay higher taxes, he was already paying enough. Obama told him,

Now, I respect the disagreement. I just want you to be clear – it’s not that I want to punish your success – I just want to make sure that everybody who is behind you – that they’ve got a chance at success too.”

…I think when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody.

Obama was talking about the part of Marxist Theory known as “Socialism”.

According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, Socialism is

  1. any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods

  2.   a system or condition of society in which the means of production are owned and controlled by the state

  3. a stage of society in Marxist theory transitional between capitalism and communism and distinguished by unequal distribution of goods and pay according to work done

If you listen to the Far Left Democratic Party, “Socialism” is the greatest thing since sliced bread.

The problem is Socialism has never worked in any country which has installed it as a form of government.

The failed application of the Marxist Theory of Socialism is responsible for the desolate, impoverished wasteland that is the country of Venezuela, a country which has been “sharing the wealth” for decades.

If it were up to the Far Left Democrats, our Sovereign Nation would be traveling down the same ill-fated path that brought Venezuela to ruin.

America was not founded to be a Socialist Nation.

We are a Constitutional Republic.

I believe that one of the main reasons that Liberals, like the squids…err…”Squad”  are continuing to show their collective as…err…backsides is they fact that they know, in their cold dark hearts, that Trump is going to be re-elected, as so far during his presidency he has succeeded in bringing back jobs and, in turn, reviving America’s near-extinct Middle Class.

Because as long capitalism is working the way it is supposed to, under the watchful eye of an AMERICAN President, who actually has some business acumen gained through Real World Experience, the Left’s cry for “Socialism” will continue to fall on deaf ears.

And, that is a good thing.

Because as Lady Margaret Thatcher once so famously quipped,

The trouble with Socialism is that you eventually run out of other people’s money.

…and, you end up like Venezuela.

Twitter Snowflakes Attack John Wayne for Remarks Made in Playboy Interview…in 1971!

Just when you thought that Liberals had run out of things to be offended about…

The Sydney Morning Herald reported yesterday that

An almost 50-year-old interview with Hollywood legend John Wayne, which features the late actor espousing racist and homophobic views, has gone viral after resurfacing on Twitter.

In the interview, published in Playboy in May 1971, Wayne took aim at black civil rights activist Angela Davis for suggesting racial discrimination was the reason she was sacked from a professor’s post at UCLA in 1969.

“With a lot of blacks, there’s quite a bit of resentment along with their dissent, and possibly rightfully so. But we can’t all of a sudden get down on our knees and turn everything over to the leadership of the blacks,” Wayne said. “I believe in white supremacy until the blacks are educated to the point of responsibility.”

When questioned on the potential for black integration in Hollywood, Wayne said he only supported casting black actors in their “proper position”.

“If it’s supposed to be a black character, naturally I use a black actor,” he said. “I don’t go so far as hunting for positions for them. I think the Hollywood studios are carrying their tokenism a little too far… I suppose there should be the same percentage of the coloured race in films as in society. But it can’t always be that way.”

The actor was also asked about the representation of Native Americans in his Westerns, and whether he felt “any empathy with them”.

“I don’t feel we did wrong in taking this great country away from them, if that’s what you’re asking,” Wayne responded. “Our so-called stealing of this country from them was just a matter of survival. There were great numbers of people who needed new land, and the Indians were selfishly trying to keep it for themselves.

“Look, I’m sure there have been inequalities,” he continued. “But what happened 100 years ago in our country can’t be blamed on us today.”

The interview also finds Wayne pondering the era’s “perverted” films, including Easy Rider and Midnight Cowboy, which he described as “a story about two fa–“.

“But don’t get me wrong. As far as a man and woman is concerned, I’m awfully happy there’s a thing called sex. It’s an extra something God gave us,” Wayne said. “I see no reason why it shouldn’t be in pictures. Healthy, lusty sex is wonderful.”

The Duke passed away in 1979 at the age of 72 from lung cancer.

If you were to search for “John Wayne” on Twitter, you would find the Liberals absolutely losing their minds over an article that is 48 years old.

The views that John Wayne held were his own and were widely held beliefs at the time of the interview.

The Playboy interviewer attempted to trap the Duke into making controversial statements in order to sell more magazines.

And, to get men to actually read the articles in Playboy.

Angela Davis was a black radical. That probably had something to do with her firing by UCLA…don’t ya think?

After that interview, John Wayne went on to star in “The Cowboys”, alongside the very respected black actor Roscoe Lee Browne.

In his final film, “The Shootist”, well-known actor and entertainer Scatman Crothers played the role of the local blacksmith and had a couple of memorable scenes with the Duke.

As for his remarks about the movie “Easy Rider”, that is how homosexual males were referred to as back in those days. That’s just the plain truth of the matter.

The Liberal snowflakes had their turn. Now, it’s mine.

In keeping with this theme of hope and optimism, here is an excerpt from President Trump’s Speech which he delivered last Wednesday at the 2017 Voter Values Summit

…We are confronting rogue regimes from Iran to North Korea, and we are challenging the communist dictatorship of Cuba and the socialist oppression of Venezuela.  And we will not lift the sanctions on these repressive regimes until they restore political and religious freedom for their people.  (Applause.) All of these bad actors share a common enemy, the one force they cannot stop, the force deep within our souls, and that is the power of hope.  That is why, in addition to our great military might, our enemies truly fear the United States.  Because our people never lose faith, never give in, and always hope for a better tomorrow.

Last week, Melania and I were reminded of this in a powerful way when we traveled to Las Vegas.  We visited a hospital where some of the survivors were recovering from absolutely horrific wounds.  We met a young man named Brady Cook.  He’s 22 and a brand-new police officer.  That night was Brady’s second day in field training — his second day as a policeman, can you believe that?  But when the shooting began, he did not hesitate.  He acted with incredible courage, rushing into the hail of bullets, and he was badly shot in the shoulder.  

This is what Brady said: “I didn’t expect it, but it’s what I signed up for.  When stuff goes down, I want to be there to face evil and to protect the good, innocent people that need it.”  And here’s a young guy, great guy — and second day.  I said, Brady, don’t worry about it, it’s going to be easier from here.  (Laughter and applause.)  Brady is a hero, and he can’t wait to get back on the job. 

Several weeks before, when Hurricane Harvey hit Houston, a local furniture storeowner, who’s known in Texas as “Mattress Mack,” decided he had to help.  When the rain began to flood the streets of the city, he sent out his furniture trucks to rescue the stranded.  He brought them back to his stores, and gave them food and a clean, dry place to stay, even if it meant ruining countless dollars’ worth of furniture.

As “Mattress Mack” put it, “My faith defines me, it’s who I am.”  “We can afford [the cost]…what we can’t afford” — we can’t — and he said this very strongly, “what we can’t afford is to cause people to lose hope.” 

In Brady and Mack, we see the strength of the American spirit.  This spirit of courage and compassion is all around us, every day.  It is the heartbeat of our great nation.  And despite certain coverage, that beat is stronger than it’s ever been before.  You see right through it.  (Applause.)  That beat is stronger than it’s ever been.  

We see this spirit in the men and women who selflessly enlist in our armed forces and, really, who go out and risk their lives for God and for country.  And we see it in the mothers and the fathers who get up at the crack of dawn; they work two jobs and sometimes three jobs.  They sacrifice every day for the furniture and — future of their children.  They have to go out.  They go out.  They work.  The future of their children is everything to them.  They put it before everything.  And they make sure that the future of their children has God involved in it.  So important to them.  (Applause.) 

We see it in the church communities that come together to care for one another, to pray for each other, and to stand strong with each other in times of need.

The people who grace our lives, and fill our homes, and build our communities are the true strength of our nation, and the greatest hope for a better tomorrow. 

As long as we have pride in our country, confidence in our future, and faith in our God, then America will prevail.

We will defeat every evil, overcome every threat, and meet every single challenge.  We will defend our faith and protect our traditions.  We will find the best in each other and in ourselves.  We will pass on the blessings of liberty, and the glories of God, to our children.  Our values will endure, our nation will thrive, our citizens will flourish, and our freedom will triumph.

This Sabbath, I’m thankful for Americans who are still making a difference.  Americans who still love God and country, and stand on principle with their feet planted on a Solid Rock, and not on shifting sands.

And I am thankful to have an optimistic, hopeful American President who recognizes that it is the strength of average Americans, not the never-ending negativism and pandering of a minority in this Sovereign Nation, which makes America great.

They are the reason we remain, in spite of all that has befallen us in the last 8 years and 9 months, the Greatest Country on the Face of the Earth.

They are also the reason that together, we are about to Make America Great Again.

Obama, Castro, Trump, and the Duke: A Look At Liberals’ Love Affair with Marxism

In American Politics, as far as anybody can remember, that is still alive and kicking, you have had those of a political ideology who were Pro-American and Gung Ho about all the things that this country stands for. And, on the other side, you had those of a political ideology who criticized everything that America stood for, and still stands for, to this day.

From those who believed that Communism would be great for America back in the 1950s, to those in the 1960’s, who wanted to “tune in, turn on, and drop out”, and spit on our returning Servicemen, to those of the 1970s who were naive pacifists like their President, Jimmy Carter, to those in the 1980s, who were part of the “Me Generation”, to those whom we call “Progressives” (a misnomer) or “Modern Liberals” in our present generation, Including President Barack Hussein Obama and all of his minions, there has always been a minority segment of American Society, who despise everything that this land, which was given us by the Almighty and was fought for and died for by those before us, stands for, while they reap all the benefits of America the Beautiful.

I have been writing about the fact, for quite a while now, that America is suffering under this “Tyranny of the Minority”.

In his second term as President, he has proven that he is president of some of the people, not all of the people.

A great example of the viewpoint of our “First Anti-American President” is his statement on the passing of Cuba’s Communist Dictator, Fidel Castro

At this time of Fidel Castro’s passing, we extend a hand of friendship to the Cuban people. We know that this moment fills Cubans – in Cuba and in the United States – with powerful emotions, recalling the countless ways in which Fidel Castro altered the course of individual lives, families, and of the Cuban nation. History will record and judge the enormous impact of this singular figure on the people and world around him. For nearly six decades, the relationship between the United States and Cuba was marked by discord and profound political disagreements. During my presidency, we have worked hard to put the past behind us, pursuing a future in which the relationship between our two countries is defined not by our differences but by the many things that we share as neighbors and friends – bonds of family, culture, commerce, and common humanity. This engagement includes the contributions of Cuban Americans, who have done so much for our country and who care deeply about their loved ones in Cuba.

Today, the world marks the passing of a brutal dictator who oppressed his own people for nearly six decades. Fidel Castro’s legacy is one of firing squads, theft, unimaginable suffering, poverty and the denial of fundamental human rights.

While Cuba remains a totalitarian island, it is my hope that today marks a move away from the horrors endured for too long, and toward a future in which the wonderful Cuban people finally live in the freedom they so richly deserve.

Though the tragedies, deaths and pain caused by Fidel Castro cannot be erased, our administration will do all it can to ensure the Cuban people can finally begin their journey toward prosperity and liberty. I join the many Cuban Americans who supported me so greatly in the presidential campaign, including the Brigade 2506 Veterans Association that endorsed me, with the hope of one day soon seeing a free Cuba.

I am certain that the “most refined” among us, “the smartest people in the room” as they refer to themselves, the Modern American Liberals, including the Chief Marxist/Alinsky-ite himself, Barack Hussein Obama, were aghast at Trump’s blunt and factual remarks concerning Castro’s croaking.

Why do Modern American Liberals admire those leaders and societies, like Fidel Castro and Communist Cuba, who would take away their individual freedom, at best, and gut them like a Thanksgiving Turkey, at worst?

How could they be so naïve as to view an oppressor and the poverty-stricken Communist country that he destroyed as being the “Socialist Utopia”, which they have dreamt of and which Obama has tried his best to turn America into?

To answer that question, please allow me to provide the following information about the mindset of Modern American Liberals, taken from a blog I posted on November 22, 2015

“When I started dating my bride, I found out that she was a John Wayne fan, as well. She owns most, if not all, of his library of films on video tape and owns a couple of collectible dolls, as well.

She also owns The Duke, himself. Well, not the actual Duke, but a life-size cardboard cut-out of him, that sits in the corner of our dining room.

In the other corner of the dining room, sits a John Wayne Grandfather Clock. I kid you not.

When I brought my bride home for good, I brought “The Duke” home, as well. It was a package deal.

Anyway, I was sitting at my computer this morning, trying to come up with something to write about, when a thought occurred to me:

What would John Wayne, American Patriot, think about our country and the shape we’re in, brought about by those who want to “radically change” her?

Here is what he said about the subject, back in 1975. It could have just as easily have been yesterday.

…I always thought I was a liberal but I came up terribly surprised when I found I was a right wing conservative extremist…I have always listened to every human being I’ve ever met about how I should feel.  But this so-called new liberal group… they never listen to your point of view and they make a decision as to what you think and they’re articulate enough and in control of enough of the press to force that image out for the average person.  For some reason, maybe it’s these pictures, they have not been able to do that with me…it hasn’t affected my career in popularity in spite of the fact that they’ve tried to make them do it.  There isn’t a hell of a lot we can do to change human behavior.  We keep making laws to try to change human behavior but we can’t do it…You’re being conned into Keynesianism and socialism now but it isn’t going to stop the selfishness of human behavior.  It isn’t going to stop the greed.  If you take $20 and give a dollar to every son of a b!tch in the room, you come back a year later one of the b@st@rds will have most of the money.  It’s just human nature.  We’re never gonna whip it with a lot of laws. 

As communication gets better and you make people conscious of somebody in trouble, starving or something like that, the average person will help…I think there are people who try to affect a thinking where they know more than some other son of a b!tch and try to pull a false impression on what human nature is.  We’ve proven we go back to hope at the first opportunity…and bam they’re out there ready to grab it.  So we are optimistic; we have to be optimistic.  What else would we be if you lose optimism?”

The Duke was a prophet.

In our American culture today, the art of civil discourse has degenerated into a shouting match…especially on the Social Media, such as Twitter and Facebook Political Pages.

This wouldn’t be so bad, if both sides had the right to shout equally as loud as the other side.

The problem is, as John Wayne experienced, back in 1975, for some reason Conservatives, especially Christian Conservatives, are expected to mind our manners, be meek and mild, and follow the Marquis of Queensbury rules, while Liberals, libertarians, and Moderates (Social Liberals) call us everything but a child of God.

However, this doesn’t just happen on the Internet, this happens in the Real World as well… and it all starts with the President of the United States and trickles down from there.

Before Obama became President, in a private fund raiser in Pennsylvania, he referred to us American Conservatives as bitter clingers, clinging to our guns and Bibles. Then, the Main Stream Media, totally in love with their new messiah, told everyone who would listen, that if you did not vote for Barack Hussein Obama as President, you are a racist.

When Conservatives started to dig up historical facts about Obama, both the Republicans and the Democrats told us to sit down, shut up, and know “our role”.

After Obama was elected, and the country started to find out just exactly who he was, Conservatives started to speak out again. Again, we were told to sit down, shut up, and know our “role”.

Finally, we had enough and began a groundswell which led to the formation of  what has become known as the Tea Party.

The rise of the Tea Party movement and America’s continuing return to Conservatism, which resulted in the political massacres known as the 2010 and 2014 Midterm Elections, was a complete and utter surprise to them.  In their self-imposed isolation, they actually thought that the America people wanted them to continue their deal-making, soul-selling, business-as-usual politics.

They were in shock when American Conservatives stood up on their hind legs and gave the House of Representatives back to the Republican Party.

And, you know what happened after both Midterm Elections?

“Moderate” Republican Speaker of the House John Boehner and the rest of the GOP establishment, once again, told us to sit down, shut up, and know our “role”.

Are you beginning to see a pattern, boys and girls?

You see, the Moderate or Socially Liberal Republicans, just like the Liberal Democrats, both in politics and in Hollywood, expect us to behave like a dog who has been whipped too much, and go cower in a corner or obey their orders in a dutiful fashion, coming when they call for us to vote for them in the next election, or premiere their next movie.

Their expectation of Conservative Behavior is predicated on the fact that they know that we were raised right, and that the majority of us are Christians and were raised to respect authority, and average Americans are desperate for entertainment to take our minds off of our president day-to-day lives under Barack Hussein Obama.

Therefore, Moderate Republicans and Liberal Democrats feel as if they can take advantage of the good nature of American Conservatives, the overwhelming majority of whom are also Christians, and walk all over us.

Well, I’ve got some news for them.

As a Christian American Conservative, I do my best to live my faith, every day.

However, boys and girls, don’t forget… Jesus ran the money changers out of the temple.

And, just like in those old Westerns, which I have become fond of watching, Good will eventually triumph over Evil.

As The Duke said, way back in 1975,

From Hollywood to Washington, Christian Americans are Fighting Back.

Arrogant, big-mouthed, divisive Hollywood blowhards took a massive hit at the American box office this weekend. The highly-anticipated fourth and final chapter of “The Hunger Games” should have been bullet-proof. But after star Jennifer Lawrence used the film’s publicity tour to trash Christians and Republican frontrunner Donald Trump, “Mockingjay – Part 2″ is under-performing in a way no box office analyst had predicted.

“The Night Before,” an R-rated comedy starring Seth Rogen, the same big-mouthed bigot who lashed out with a “F*ck you!” to Republican Ben Carson last month, is looking like an outright disaster, as is “Secret In Their Eyes,” which was supposed to be a comeback (and Oscar) vehicle for Republican-basher Julia Roberts.

Although it was released into nearly 3000 theatres and received a ton of publicity, Rogen crashed and burned with just a $10.7 million opening. To put this in the proper perspective, just last year and in nearly the same amount of theatres, “Neighbors” opened to $49 million and “This Is the End” opened to $21 million.

Julia Roberts just sucks, and has for more than a decade. And it is beyond comprehension why anyone thought that it was a good idea to team Roberts up with box office poison Nicole Kidman. In nearly 2400 theatres, “Secret In Their Eyes” was predicted to bomb with $7.5 million and did exactly that.

Let’s move on to the weekend’s real shocker.

A mere two days ago Box Office Mojo predicted the opening weekend for “Mockingjay – Part 2″ would score $127.3 million. They were not alone. However, according to Deadline, the fourquel is not only way underperforming at $104 million but this is by far the worst opening of the franchise. The previous low was “Mockingjay – Part 1,” which hauled in a much healthier $122 million.

Granted, $104 million is not peanuts, but a final chapter of an iconic franchise should in no way be underperforming like this. As an example, the final Harry Potter film blew the doors off the opening weekend records held by the seven previous chapters. The fourth and final “Twilight” film was right up there.

So what happened?

If past is prologue, the entertainment media won’t say so out loud, but could it be that star Jennifer Lawrence using the “Hunger Games” publicity tour to reveal herself as a spoiled, nasty, bigoted whiner damaged her image — and by extension the film? Overnight, Lawrence seemed to go from a young, beautiful, approachable star to just another Hollywood A-list jerk.

In short, Jennifer Lawrence spent the better part of the summer making an ass of herself. During the eighth year of a brutally slow economic “recovery” that has only benefited the top one-percent (like Lawrence), the once universally-beloved superstar first ran to rape-hoaxer Lena Dunham to crybaby about sexism, while using eight-figure paychecks to wipe away the tears.

That was just the beginning of her bubble-diva implosion. At the worst possible moment, during the run up to Friday’s release of the franchise that made her a star, Lawrence arrogantly trashed Republican frontrunner Donald Trump.

A mere ten days before the film’s release, Lawrence went so far as to expose her anti-Christian bigotry, telling Vogue magazine that Christians are “those people holding their crucifixes, which may as well be pitchforks, thinking they’re fighting the good fight. I grew up in Kentucky. I know how they are.”

And now the profitability of “Mockingjay – Part 2″ is in question. I love the way Deadline spins this sorry truth into what sounds like a positive, but that doesn’t change the underlying truth: The once sure-fire “Mockingjay – Part 2″ might need ancillary markets to break even:

[I]t’s possible that the fourth film, which carries an estimated combined budget and P&A cost of $215M stateside, could profit off of theatrical just like MJ1, before Lionsgate counts TV and home entertainment dollars and costs.

Don’t be mad, Hollywood.

America is just hating you back.

We live in a time in our country where Traditional American ethics and values, including our Christian Faith, have been ridiculed and mocked by the Left and their Power Brokers as being antiquated, restrictive, ignorant, and even, bigoted.

And the majority of the movies which Hollywood has expectorated out in the last few years have reflected this skewed and intolerant view of Traditional American ethics and values.

For example, movies like Redacted, about the Iraq War, which Americans shunned like a Yoko Ono Concert.

When a movie is entertaining, and doesn’t try to run down our country, or teach anti-Christian or anti-American views and values, people turn out in droves, like they did in the case of “The Avengers”.

Americans are looking for another John Ford or Frank Capra, but instead, Hollywood’s giving us Tim Burton and Rob Zombie.

And, today’s “stars” have the staying power…and intelligence of a Dum Dum Lollipop.

The old Hollywood “Stars” respected their fans.

Independence Day 2015: These Colors Don’t Run.

Fourth of July 2015Back in 2011, as I was contemplating what to write about on the 4th of July, I came upon an article titled, “Down on the Fourth of July: The United States of Gloom”, on the London Daily Telegraph’s website, written by Tony Harnden, their U.S. Editor. Mr. Harnden presented a synopsis of the state of our country and came to the following conclusion:

On this day in 1776 a group of 13 colonies broke away to found a new nation free to govern itself as it saw fit, pledging that each citizen would have the unalienable right to “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness”. A nation, as Americans are apt to declare without equivocation, which became the greatest on the face of the earth.

That’s the good news. On the flip side, however, a country whose hallmark has always been a sense of irrepressible optimism is in the grip of unprecedented uncertainty and self-doubt.

With the United States mired in three foreign wars, beaten down by an economy that shows few signs of emerging from deep recession and deeply disillusioned with President Barack Obama, his Republican challengers and Congress, the mood is dark.

The last comparable Fourth of July was probably in 1980, when there was a recession, skyrocketing petrol prices and an Iranian hostage crisis, with 53 Americans being held in Tehran.

…The 2010 mid-term elections showed that the Tea Party movement, drawing its small-government, low-tax inspiration from the revolutionaries who overthrew the British, was a phenomenon that could turn American politics upside down.

Previous elections had been about choosing the lesser of two evils but 2010 was about throwing the bums out. Luntz, a Republican, predicts that 2012 will be a “none of the above” contest. What is needed above all is optimism: it is a prerequisite for the risk-taking needed to invest and start new businesses. Its absence could turn into a self-fulfilling prophecy as belief in American decline helps ensure that the halcyon years are indeed in the past.

The 1980 election was won by Ronald Reagan with his “Morning in America” message. Today, a 10ft bronze statue of Reagan will be unveiled outside the US Embassy in London’s Grosvenor Square, which, in another sign of the times, is due to move to Battersea next year because of concerns about its vulnerability to terrorists. Thus far, there is no sign of a new Reagan emerging.

More worryingly, the optimism he embraced and came to personify is all but absent in America this Fourth of July.

Pretty depressing, huh?

Mr. Harden was a bit of a prophet. Things have not gotten any better. In fact, under the poll-proven Worst American President Since World War II, things are actually getting worse.

America’s populace is still struggling through the worst economic situation our country has seen since the Great Depression. Approximately 20% of our countrymen are unemployed, underemployed, or have just plain given up. One-sixth of our nation has to rely on assistance from our government just to have food on the table, while remaining under the governance of a president who worships a Far Left political ideology steeped in the redistribution of wealth teachings of Karl Marx and Saul Alinsky.

Americans have watched, feeling helpless, as he and his self-centered minions in Congress took our tax dollars and spent all of it and then some, as if there was no tomorrow, leaving our children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with a debt that this shining city on a hill may never recover from.

We’ve watched, with our mouths hanging wide open, as the President of the United States and his State Department, have reached out to embrace the very barbarians that want to murder each and every one of us, while at the same time, criticizing and alienating our closest allies.

And, at the same time, taking away our Freedom of Self-Determination through the use of activist judges, at the state level to overthrow the will of the people, and then, through a Liberal-Majority Supreme Court, who decided to legislate, instead of performing their actual job description, changing the definition of a sacred ceremony, which has meant one thing for centuries.

Meanwhile, my beloved Dixie, is finding itself under attack by condescending Liberals, led by the leaders, who have decided that a Battle Flag from the American Civil War, has the ability to come to life, and willfully kill innocent people, and somehow, constrain their lives., hiding their real goal of eliminating the region’s political and economic power.

Finally, on this 4th of July, in the year of our Lord 2015, our Southern Border continues to be invaded by tens of thousands uninvited guests, bringing disease, and perhaps, being accompanied by our enemies, traveling in secret, among them.

However, even now, I do not subscribe to Mr. Harnden’s assessment of gloom and doom. Rather, I stand with this man, who embodied the American Spirit that is beginning to once again, reawaken across our Sacred Land.

Our American Spirit of Independence, Courage, and Love for our Country , embedded in our souls by the generations of brave Americans before us, often presents itself in the most bleak of situations, as this now-famous account from World Ward II demonstrates:

Gen. Anthony Clement McAuliffe is best remembered for uttering a single word — no mean feat, considering that even the shortest Bible verse has two. Commanding the U.S. Army’s beleaguered and surrounded 101st Airborne Division during World War II’s Battle of the Bulge, McAuliffe received a German surrender ultimatum. “Nuts!” he replied, and became a lasting symbol of American courage and determination under fire.

A 1918 West Point graduate, McAuliffe held various field artillery positions before World War II. On the eve of D-Day, McAuliffe jumped with the first wave as a commander of division artillery, although he had never received formal parachute training.

In December 1944, during the siege of Bastogne, Belgium, McAuliffe was acting commander of the 101st in Gen. Maxwell D. Taylor’s absence. The Americans had been holding the Belgian town “at all costs,” and on Dec. 22, Gen. McAuliffe received the encouraging news that the 4th Armored Division was beginning its drive north to relieve the 101st. Later that morning, members of the division’s glider regiment saw four Germans coming up the road carrying a white flag. Everyone hoped they were offering surrender. Instead, they presented two pages demanding the Americans’ surrender: “To the USA Commander of the encircled town of Bastogne. . .There is only one possibility. . .the honorable surrender of the encircled town.”

McAuliffe glanced at the message and said, “Aw, nuts!” When he told his commanders he didn’t know what answer to send, Lt. Col. Harry Kinnard said ‘That first crack you made would be hard to beat, General.” Everyone laughed as a sergeant typed up the succinct response: “To the German Commander: Nuts! The American Commander.”

Between this stoic reply, Patton’s troops from the south, and a change in the weather that allowed air reinforcement the following day, the 101st was able to hold Bastogne. Their victory resulted in the first full-Division Presidential Distinguished Unit Citation.

McAuliffe’s actions at Bastogne helped assure the final defeat of the Germans. Gen. McAuliffe continued to serve on active duty, including assignments as Head of the Army Chemical Corps, Commander, 7th Army, and Commander-In-Chief of the U.S. Army, Europe, until his 1956 retirement. He died in Washington, D.C. in 1975 and is buried at Arlington National Cemetery.

In the opinion of this 56-year-old, sitting in the Northwest corner of the Magnolia State in America’s Heartland, the current administration and Mr. Harden have underestimated the American Spirit, just as King George and the British Aristocracy did, so many years ago.

As our enemies, both foreign and domestic, have discovered since the birth of our nation, Americans will fight for our freedom. And we shall prove it again, in November of 2016, with an electoral explosion of nuclear magnitude, which shall make November of 2014 seem like a firecracker in comparison.

John Wayne with FlagI have found myself watching a lot of Westerns, recently…great old television shows like “Have Gun, Will Travel” with Richard Boone, “Bat Masterson”, “Wyatt Earp,”, and, of course, “Maverick”. I have also been watching Western Movies, lately. The other night, I was watching an old Western titled “Dark Command”. It was a fictionalized account of Quantrill’s Raiders, starring Walter Pidgeon as the villainous Quantrill, with Claire Trevor, Gabby Hayes, a young Roy Rogers, and, of course, the Duke himself, John Wayne.

I have always liked John Wayne.

When I started dating my bride, I found out that she was a John Wayne fan, as well. She owns most, if not all, of his library of films on video tape and owns a couple of collectible dolls, as well.

She also owns The Duke, himself. Well, not the actual Duke, but a life-size cardboard cut-out of him, that sits in the corner of our dining room.

In the other corner of the dining room, sits a John Wayne Grandfather Clock. I kid you not.

When I brought my bride home for good, I brought “The Duke” home, as well. It was a package deal.

Anyway, I was sitting at my computer this morning, trying to come up with something to write about, when a thought occurred to me:

What would John Wayne, American Patriot, think about our country and the shape we’re in, brought about by those who want to “radically change” her?

Here is what he said about the subject, back in 1975. It could have just as easily have been yesterday.

…I always thought I was a liberal but I came up terribly surprised when I found I was a right wing conservative extremist…I have always listened to every human being I’ve ever met about how I should feel.  But this so-called new liberal group… they never listen to your point of view and they make a decision as to what you think and they’re articulate enough and in control of enough of the press to force that image out for the average person.  For some reason, maybe it’s these pictures, they have not been able to do that with me…it hasn’t affected my career in popularity in spite of the fact that they’ve tried to make them do it.  There isn’t a hell of a lot we can do to change human behavior.  We keep making laws to try to change human behavior but we can’t do it…You’re being conned into Keynesianism and socialism now but it isn’t going to stop the selfishness of human behavior.  It isn’t going to stop the greed.  If you take $20 and give a dollar to every son of a b!tch in the room, you come back a year later one of the b@st@rds will have most of the money.  It’s just human nature.  We’re never gonna whip it with a lot of laws. 

As communication gets better and you make people conscious of somebody in trouble, starving or something like that, the average person will help…I think there are people who try to affect a thinking where they know more than some other son of a b!tch and try to pull a false impression on what human nature is.  We’ve proven we go back to hope at the first opportunity…and bam they’re out there ready to grab it.  So we are optimistic; we have to be optimistic.  What else would we be if you lose optimism?”

One of the Facebook Pages on which I post my blog everyday, belongs to Senator Ted Cruz (R, TX). A while back, a young Liberal, evidently on the Conservative Senator’s Facebook Page simply for the purpose of disruption, decided that she did not like the subject of my post, and went on a multiple-comment diatribe against capitalism and all things American. When I asked her to get back to the subject of the blog, she refused to, and I was forced to block her.

It’s amazing how the Internet has become a reflection of our political reality. Every website and Facebook Page, where there is political discussion,unless they are just Pro-one-way-or-the-other, puts out a plea for civil discourse in discussions that are on their site.

Unfortunately though, that never seems to happen. And, why is that?

In our American culture today, the art of civil discourse has degenerated into a shouting match…especially on the Social Media, such as Twitter and Facebook Political Pages.

This wouldn’t be so bad, if both sides had the right to shout equally as loud as the other side.

The problem is, as John Wayne experienced, back in 1975, for some reason Conservatives are expected to mind our manners, be meek and mild, and follow the Marquis of Queensbury rules, while Liberals, libertarians, and Moderates (Social Liberals) call us everything but a child of God.

However, this doesn’t just happen on the Internet, this happens in the Real World as well… and it all starts with the President of the United States and trickles down from there.

Before Obama became President, in a private fund raiser in Pennsylvania, he referred to us American Conservatives as bitter clingers, clinging to our guns and Bibles. Then, the Main Stream Media, totally in love with their new messiah, told everyone who would listen, that if you did not vote for Barack Hussein Obama as President, you are a racist.

When Conservatives started to dig up historical facts about Obama, both the Republicans and the Democrats told us to sit down, shut up, and know “our role”.

After Obama was elected, and the country started to find out just exactly who he was, Conservatives started to speak out again. Again, we were told to sit down, shut up, and know our “role”.

Finally, we had enough and began a groundswell which led to the formation of  what has become known as the Tea Party.

The rise of the Tea Party movement and America’s continuing return to Conservatism, which resulted in the political massacres known as the 2010 and 2014 Midterm Elections, was a complete and utter surprise to them.  In their self-imposed isolation, they actually thought that the America people wanted them to continue their deal-making, soul-selling, business-as-usual politics.

They were in shock when American Conservatives stood up on their hind legs and gave the House of Representatives back to the Republican Party.

And, you know what happened after both Midterm Elections?

“Moderate” Republican Speaker of the House John Boehner and the rest of the GOP establishment,once again, told us to sit down, shut up, and know our “role”.

Are you beginning to see a pattern, boys and girls?

You see, the Moderate or Socially Liberal Republicans, just like the Liberal Democrats, expect us to behave like a dog who has been whipped too much, and go cower in a corner or obey their orders in a dutiful fashion, coming when they call for us to vote for them in the next election.

Their expectation of Conservative Behavior is predicated on the fact that they know that we were raised right, and that the majority of us are Christians and were raised to respect authority.

Therefore, Moderate Republicans and Liberal Democrats feel as if they can take advantage of the good nature of American Conservatives, and walk all over us.

Well, I’ve got some news for them.

As a Christian American Conservative, I do my best to live my faith, every day.

However, boys and girls, don’t forget… Jesus ran the money changers out of the temple.

And, just like in those old Westerns, which I have become fond of watching, Good will eventually triumph over Evil.

As The Duke said, way back in 1975,

…we have to be optimistic.  What else would we be if you lose optimism?

Independence Day 2014: A Present Reawakening

Fourth of July 2014Back in 2011, as I was contemplating what to write about on the 4th of July, I came upon an article titled, “Down on the Fourth of July: The United States of Gloom”, on the London Daily Telegraph’s website, written by Tony Harnden, their U.S. Editor. Mr. Harnden presented a synopsis of the state of our country and came to the following conclusion:

On this day in 1776 a group of 13 colonies broke away to found a new nation free to govern itself as it saw fit, pledging that each citizen would have the unalienable right to “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness”. A nation, as Americans are apt to declare without equivocation, which became the greatest on the face of the earth.

That’s the good news. On the flip side, however, a country whose hallmark has always been a sense of irrepressible optimism is in the grip of unprecedented uncertainty and self-doubt.

With the United States mired in three foreign wars, beaten down by an economy that shows few signs of emerging from deep recession and deeply disillusioned with President Barack Obama, his Republican challengers and Congress, the mood is dark.

The last comparable Fourth of July was probably in 1980, when there was a recession, skyrocketing petrol prices and an Iranian hostage crisis, with 53 Americans being held in Tehran.

…The 2010 mid-term elections showed that the Tea Party movement, drawing its small-government, low-tax inspiration from the revolutionaries who overthrew the British, was a phenomenon that could turn American politics upside down.

Previous elections had been about choosing the lesser of two evils but 2010 was about throwing the bums out. Luntz, a Republican, predicts that 2012 will be a “none of the above” contest. What is needed above all is optimism: it is a prerequisite for the risk-taking needed to invest and start new businesses. Its absence could turn into a self-fulfilling prophecy as belief in American decline helps ensure that the halcyon years are indeed in the past.

The 1980 election was won by Ronald Reagan with his “Morning in America” message. Today, a 10ft bronze statue of Reagan will be unveiled outside the US Embassy in London’s Grosvenor Square, which, in another sign of the times, is due to move to Battersea next year because of concerns about its vulnerability to terrorists. Thus far, there is no sign of a new Reagan emerging.

More worryingly, the optimism he embraced and came to personify is all but absent in America this Fourth of July.

Pretty depressing, huh?

Mr. Harden was a bit of a prophet. Things have not gotten any better. In fact, under the poll-proven Worst American President Since World War II, things are actually getting worse.

America’s populace is still struggling through the worst economic situation our country has seen since the Great Depression. Approximately 20% of our countrymen are unemployed, underemployed, or have just plain given up. One-sixth of our nation has to rely on assistance from our government just to have food on the table, while remaining under the governance of a president who worships a Far Left political ideology steeped in the redistribution of wealth teachings of Karl Marx and Saul Alinsky.

Americans have watched, feeling helpless, as he and his self-centered minions in Congress took our tax dollars and spent all of it and then some, as if there was no tomorrow, leaving our children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with a debt that this shining city on a hill may never recover from.

We’ve watched, with our mouths hanging wide open, as the President of the United States and his State Department, have reached out to embrace the very barbarians that want to murder each and every one of us, while at the same time, criticizing and alienating our closest allies.

And, at the same time, taking away our Freedom of Self-Determination through the use of activist judges, at the state level to overthrow the will of the people, regarding a sacred ceremony, which has meant one thing for centuries.

Finally, on this 4th of July, in the year of our Lord 2014, our Southern Border is being invaded by tens of thousands uninvited guests, bringing disease, and perhaps being accompanied by our enemies, traveling in secret, among them.

However, even now, I do not subscribe to Mr. Harnden’s assessment of gloom and doom. Rather, I stand with this man, who embodied the American Spirit that is beginning to once again, reawaken across our Sacred Land.

Our American Spirit of Independence, Courage, and Love for our Country , embedded in our souls by the generations of brave Americans before us, often presents itself in the most bleak of situations. As this now-famous account from World Ward II demonstrates:

Gen. Anthony Clement McAuliffe is best remembered for uttering a single word — no mean feat, considering that even the shortest Bible verse has two. Commanding the U.S. Army’s beleaguered and surrounded 101st Airborne Division during World War II’s Battle of the Bulge, McAuliffe received a German surrender ultimatum. “Nuts!” he replied, and became a lasting symbol of American courage and determination under fire.

A 1918 West Point graduate, McAuliffe held various field artillery positions before World War II. On the eve of D-Day, McAuliffe jumped with the first wave as a commander of division artillery, although he had never received formal parachute training.

In December 1944, during the siege of Bastogne, Belgium, McAuliffe was acting commander of the 101st in Gen. Maxwell D. Taylor’s absence. The Americans had been holding the Belgian town “at all costs,” and on Dec. 22, Gen. McAuliffe received the encouraging news that the 4th Armored Division was beginning its drive north to relieve the 101st. Later that morning, members of the division’s glider regiment saw four Germans coming up the road carrying a white flag. Everyone hoped they were offering surrender. Instead, they presented two pages demanding the Americans’ surrender: “To the USA Commander of the encircled town of Bastogne. . .There is only one possibility. . .the honorable surrender of the encircled town.”

McAuliffe glanced at the message and said, “Aw, nuts!” When he told his commanders he didn’t know what answer to send, Lt. Col. Harry Kinnard said ‘That first crack you made would be hard to beat, General.” Everyone laughed as a sergeant typed up the succinct response: “To the German Commander: Nuts! The American Commander.”

Between this stoic reply, Patton’s troops from the south, and a change in the weather that allowed air reinforcement the following day, the 101st was able to hold Bastogne. Their victory resulted in the first full-Division Presidential Distinguished Unit Citation.

McAuliffe’s actions at Bastogne helped assure the final defeat of the Germans. Gen. McAuliffe continued to serve on active duty, including assignments as Head of the Army Chemical Corps, Commander, 7th Army, and Commander-In-Chief of the U.S. Army, Europe, until his 1956 retirement. He died in Washington, D.C. in 1975 and is buried at Arlington National Cemetery.

In the opinion of this 55-year-old, sitting in the Northwest corner of the Magnolia State in America’s Heartland, the current administration and Mr. Harden have underestimated the American Spirit, just as King George and the British Aristocracy did, so many years ago.

As our enemies, both foreign and domestic, have discovered since the birth of our nation, Americans will fight for our freedom. And we shall prove it again, this coming November, with an electoral explosion of nuclear magnitude, which shall make November 2010 seem like a firecracker in comparison.
