Obama’s Gun Control Initiative: Chicago Beats New York in Number of 2012 Homicides. Obama Ignores.

guncontrolThe Senate Dog and Pony Show concerning Gun Control got started yesterday, as those who wish to take away average American’s guns presented former Congressperson Gabby Giffords, shot in the head by a psychopath,  to testify on their behalf. Meanwhile, out in the Real World, back in President Barack Hussein Obama’s Hometown, Chicago is no longer “that toddlin’ town”. It is now a Demilitarized Zone..a No Man’s Land where innocent young people are being savagely murdered…caught in the crossfire of Thugs.

A week after she performed at festivities during President Obama’s inauguration, a 15-year-old majorette was shot dead in Chicago.

Police say Hadiya Pendleton was shot in the back Tuesday in a South Side park and died at a city hospital.

Authorities say Hadiya was one of about 12 teenagers sheltering from heavy rain under a canopy when a man jumped a fence, ran toward the group and opened fire. The man fled the scene in a vehicle. No arrests have been made.

“As usual, the bad guy aims, but he never hits the other bad guy . . . He hits the one that hurts the most to lose,” said Chicago Police Officer Damon Stewart, 36, Hadiya ‘s godfather. “I changed her diapers, I played with her growing up. My heart is broken.”

Police do not believe Hadiya was the intended target of the shooting. A teenage boy was shot in the leg. Police did not release his name.

Hadiya belonged to the King College Prep High School band, which performed at several inaugural events in Washington, D.C. She was remembered by friends as a lover of books.

Two other men died Tuesday and at least eight others wounded by gunfire, the report said.

A horrible murder is nothing new in Chicago. In fact, that city excels at it. The Windy City even beat the Big Apple in the number of murders committed last year.

In a sharp contrast between two of the nation’s largest cities, Chicago recorded its 499th murder of 2012 on Thursday night while New York reported 414 murders as of Friday even though it has more than three times the population, according to police.

Plagued by gang violence, Chicago surpassed last year’s murder total of 433 in October and is set for the highest rate of homicide since the third largest U.S. city recorded 512 in 2008. The number is likely to top 500 on the last weekend of the year.

New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg announced on Friday that the nation’s largest city could finish the year with the lowest number of murders and shootings since 1963, when it began keeping comparable data. The number of murders this year in New York is only about one-fifth the total of 2,245 homicides recorded in the peak year of 1990.

The rising murder rate has frustrated Chicago Police Commissioner Garry McCarthy and Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, who promised to make the city’s streets safer when he took office in May 2011.

“It’s unacceptable,” McCarthy said in an interview with Reuters on Friday.

New York’s Bloomberg trumpeted the news with Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly at a police recruit graduation ceremony in the borough of Brooklyn.

Kelly attributed the decline to the increasing use of stop-and-frisk tactics, when police can stop and search people on the street they consider suspicious.

“We’re preventing crimes before someone is killed and before someone else has to go to prison for murder or other serious crimes,” Kelly said in a statement.

Civil rights groups and some local politicians have criticized stop-and-frisk tactics, saying that most people stopped turn out to be innocent, and they unfairly target black and Latino men. The practice is the subject of a federal court case over whether it is unconstitutional.

About that…The New York Times did some research, publishing a map of the locations of Chicago murders. The accompanying text reads

A New York Times analysis of homicides and census data in Chicago compared areas near murders to those that were not. Residents living near homicides in the last 12 years were much more likely to be black, earn less money and lack a college degree.

They also published a breakdown of the neighborhoods:

Austin – More than 450 homicides have happened in this neighborhood in Chicago’s West Side, one of the city’s deadliest places.

Lincoln Park – A predominantly white neighborhood on Chicago’s North Side had about 10 percent the murder rate of neighborhoods to the west.

Grand Crossing – A shooting broke out during the funeral for a victim of another shooting in December. Chicago’s South Side, in neighborhoods like Englewood, Auburn and Woodlawn, has some of the city’s highest concentrations of murders.

Hyde Park – Less than one homicide per year happened in this affluent neighborhood, which is also home to the University of Chicago.

When President Barack Hussein Obama (mm mmm mmmm) started his Gun Confiscation Campaign, ( You Remember. The speech where he used the mass murder of children at Sandy Hook Elementary to jump-start a long-cherished Liberal goal that has been defeated every time self-serving Liberal politicians try to infringe on Americans’ Second Amendment rights.) he said,

We won’t be able to stop every violent act, but if there is even one thing that we can do to prevent any of these events, we have a deep obligation, all of us, to try.

2013 is shaping up to be even worse for Chicago, as far as homicides are concerned. RedeyeChicago.com reports that

Forty-four homicides have been logged so far this month. Forty homicides were recorded in January 2012, according to RedEye data.

Mr. President, I suggest you take care of your Hometown, first, where young black teenagers, full of potential, with their whole lives ahead of them, are being senselessly murdered by thugs in their own neighborhoods.

Get the guns away from the criminals.

And, leave law-abiding Americans alone.

Obama Claims to be Just Like You and Me. He Hunts…Skeet.

marie-antoinette-obamaWell, just when you think you have heard everything lie possible out of the mouth of the Manchurian President, Barack Hussein Obama, he comes up with another whopper.

The London Daily Telegraph reports

Amid conservative anger over Mr Obama’s proposals to ban assault weapons as part of a drastic overhaul of US gun control laws, the president said that he was a keen clay-pigeon shooter.

Asked in a magazine interview whether he had ever fired a gun, Mr Obama said he did so with guests at the president’s rural retreat.

“Up at Camp David, we do skeet shooting all the time,” he said. “And I have a profound respect for the traditions of hunting that trace back in this country for generations.

“And I think those who dismiss that out of hand make a big mistake”.

Mr Obama’s plans for tighter firearms regulations were drawn up by Joe Biden, his vice-president, following the massacre of 26 people, including 20 young pupils at a primary school in Connecticut last month.

Mr Biden – whose proposals also include a background check system on all Americans trying to buy guns and a 10-shot limit for ammunition clips – has been quick to note that he owns a shotgun.

The president, however, rarely speaks personally about firearms, and is dismissed by many enthusiasts as an elite urban law professor who does not appreciate America’s heritage of gun ownership.

He accepted in his interview that gun culture in rural areas was “very different” to that in urban areas, such as his home town of Chicago, where it is more frequently linked to serious crime.

“If you grew up and your dad gave you a hunting rifle when you were 10, and you went out and spent the day with him and your uncles, and that became part of your family’s traditions, you can see why you’d be pretty protective of that,” Mr Obama told The New Republic.

He made clear, however, that his daughters Sasha, 11, and Malia, 14, did not join the clay-pigeon shooting parties at Camp David, in rural Maryland.

A week before the Super Bowl, the most keenly-awaited event in the US sporting calendar, the president risked further angering the heartland by expressing concern about the safety of American football.

Several high-profile professional players have in recent years developed brain damage, which has been linked to the frequent heavy impacts on their skulls caused by the sport.

“I’m a big football fan, but I have to tell you if I had a son, I’d have to think long and hard before I let him play football,” said Mr Obama.

Why is Obama  so different (and, not in a good way)  from us average Americans, living in the Heartland?

The rags to riches fable (supported by a cast of thousands) of Barack Hussein Obama (mm mmm mmmm) begins like any other, with his parents, Ann Dunham and Barack Obama, Sr. They met in a Russian language class in 1960, right in the middle of that time of history known as the Cold War, when America and Russia were poised to start lobbing missiles at each other. In 1961 they were married and later that year Barack Hussein Obama, Jr. (peace be unto him) was born.

When Barack, Jr. was 3-years-old, his parents divorced. Obama only saw his father one time after that. Dad moved to Kenya and his mother married an Indonesian man, Lolo Soetoro. From ages six to 10, Barack Obama, Jr., attended a private school for well-off families in Jakarta.

At age 10, he moved back to Hawaii and lived with his grandparents. As kids his age often do, young Barack eventually took up with a family friend named Frank, also known as Frank Marshall Davis.

Frank Marshall Davis (1905 – 1987) was an author, liberal activist, Stalinist agent, and self-admitted pedophile (Would you let your children hang around him?) . Davis was involved in Chicago’s South Side Community Art Center, “a meeting place for young African-American writers and artists during the 1940s”. Coming out of the New Deal Federal Art Project, the Art Center was a hangout for the “Culture Group,” a circle of Communist Party members and sympathizers including Richard Wright, Margaret Burroughs, Marion Perkins and Arna Bontemps. Another guy who hung out at the center was a young journalist named Vernon Jarrett. Davis and Jarrett worked together on the black run newspaper, the Chicago Defender. Vernon Jarrett is the father of Obama’s closest advisor and administration member, Valerie Jarrett.

Davis was in the FBI’s security index. This meant he could be arrested and detained in the event of a national emergency. Davis stated singer Paul Robeson, (He sang Ol’ Man River in the movie, Showboat.) a secret communist, was instrumental in helping him move to Hawaii.

Robeson suggested Davis contact Harry Bridges, head of the International Longshoremen and Workers’ Union, the most powerful labor union in Hawaii. Bridges then suggested that Davis get to know Koji Ariyoshi, Editor of the Honolulu Record, a newspaper that supported the policies of the Communist Party of the U.S.A.

Robeson, Bridges and Ariyoshi were all Communist party operatives. Ariyoshi gave Davis a regular weekly column in the Honolulu Record entitled “Frankly Speaking.” When Davis’ column first appeared in May 1949, the Record bragged that he was a member of the national executive board of the Civil Rights Congress, which had been named as a Communist subversive organization by Truman Attorney General Tom Clark. While sponsored by the Civil Rights Congress, Davis signed a statement in defense of Gerhart Eisler, a notorious Comintern agent who escaped jail for passport fraud by fleeing to East Germany.

I’m sure that Barry and Frank just talked “hoops” all the time, aren’t you?

Gun Control = Citizen Control

guncontrolAlright, boys and girls, let’s play a little game called “Guess the Source”. Your choices are a) The Daily Beast b) MSNBC c) CNN d) Daily Kos e) None of the Above.

…the right-wing extremists opposing all efforts to curb gun violence are the same forces that rallied behind Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, hoping to undermine every other democratic right as well as the living standards of workers and ordinary Americans. It is for that reason, as well as the need to protect public safety, that the same coalition of labor and its allies that worked so hard and effectively to re-elect President Barack Obama must now go all-out to back his common sense proposals for gun law reform.

As Obama has charged, the extremists recklessly “gin up fear” that the government is coming to take away hunting rifles and personal weapons owned for legitimate self-defense. Led by the hate-mongering leadership of the National Rifle Association, they use a totally fraudulent and only very recent interpretation of the Second Amendment which they falsely claim as necessary for protecting every other freedom contained in the Bill of Rights.

One of their unhinged spokesmen, Texas talk show host Alex Jones, launched a national petition drive to deport CNN commentator Piers Morgan for questioning the Second Amendment. Jones said the amendment “isn’t there for duck hunting. It’s there to protect us from tyrannical government and street thugs,” and then went on to threaten insurrection “if you try to take our firearms.”

Actually, the Second Amendment wasn’t enacted with any of these things in mind. The amendment was adopted as a means to enable the new American republic, lacking a standing army or state national guards, to muster militia to put down domestic uprisings, including slave revolts, to repulse any attempted return by the British and to deal with clashes with Native Americans on the expanding frontier.

These issues vanished long ago. The Second Amendment is obsolete and now has been twisted to threaten the basic safety and security of all Americans. There is no basis for claiming this amendment was intended to permit unregulated personal acquisition of firearms, including amassing military weapons and private arsenals for “protection” from the government. No government, especially one that is new and fragile, has ever authorized citizens to arm themselves against it.

The answer is e) None of the Above.

And, they are positively jubilant over this announcement from their fellow travelers at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, DC:

Attorney General Eric Holder on Friday released three proposals to strengthen the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS), which was one of the 23 actions ordered by Obama last week to tackle gun violence.

The proposed regulations would give local law-enforcement agencies access to the gun-sale database that is maintained by the FBI. The rules would also preserve records of denied weapons sales indefinitely.

The Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act already requires federal background checks for gun purchases, but not every firearm sale is covered under the law.

Currently, law enforcement agencies cannot perform a NICS check when transferring, returning or selling weapons that have been confiscated, seized or recovered. The new rules would change that, allowing officials to perform a background check on people who receive those weapons to ensure that they are permitted to own a gun.

Obama ordered the rule change in a Jan. 16 memo that called for “rulemaking to give law enforcement the ability to run a full background check on an individual before returning a seized gun.”

Holder is also proposing that the NICS hold on to records of denied weapon sales that are more than 10 years old. When the NICS was established, the Justice Department ordered that the records be moved to a storage facility after 10 years, which Holder says is no longer necessary.

“The FBI has therefore determined that for NICS’ own internal business operations, litigation and prosecution purposes, and proper administration of the system, NICS shall retain denied transaction records on site,” Holder wrote in a notice to be published in Monday’s Federal Register. “The retention of denied transaction information … will enhance the efficiency and operational capability of the NICS.”

The proposed rules would also give Native American tribes access to NICS. Currently, only federal, state, or local agencies can perform the checks, which leaves out “domestic dependent nations” recognized by the United States.

Why are Obama, his Administration and their “fellow travelers” so intent over getting our guns?

If they cared so much about our nation’s children, their supposed reason for gun confiscation, they would not be pro-abortion, which has murdered 56 million children.

David Mamet, in an  article for The Daily Beast, published yesterday, wrote the following:

…where in the Constitution is it written that the Government is in charge of determining “needs”? And note that the president did not say “I have more money than I need,” but “You and I have more than we need.” Who elected him to speak for another citizen?

It is not the constitutional prerogative of the Government to determine needs. One person may need (or want) more leisure, another more work; one more adventure, another more security, and so on. It is this diversity that makes a country, indeed a state, a city, a church, or a family, healthy. “One-size-fits-all,” and that size determined by the State has a name, and that name is “slavery.”

The Founding Fathers, far from being ideologues, were not even politicians. They were an assortment of businessmen, writers, teachers, planters; men, in short, who knew something of the world, which is to say, of Human Nature. Their struggle to draft a set of rules acceptable to each other was based on the assumption that we human beings, in the mass, are no damned good—that we are biddable, easily confused, and that we may easily be motivated by a Politician, which is to say, a huckster, mounting a soapbox and inflaming our passions.

The Constitution’s drafters did not require a wag to teach them that power corrupts: they had experienced it in the person of King George. The American secession was announced by reference to his abuses of power: “He has obstructed the administration of Justice … he has made Judges dependant on his will alone … He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our Constitution, and unacknowledged by our Laws … He has erected a multitude of new offices, and sent hither swarms of officers to harass out people and to eat out their substance … imposed taxes upon us without our consent… [He has] fundamentally altered the forms of our government.”

…The police do not exist to protect the individual. They exist to cordon off the crime scene and attempt to apprehend the criminal. We individuals are guaranteed by the Constitution the right to self-defense. This right is not the Government’s to “award” us. They have never been granted it.

The so-called assault weapons ban is a hoax. It is a political appeal to the ignorant. The guns it supposedly banned have been illegal (as above) for 78 years. Did the ban make them “more” illegal? The ban addresses only the appearance of weapons, not their operation.

Will increased cosmetic measures make anyone safer? They, like all efforts at disarmament, will put the citizenry more at risk. Disarmament rests on the assumption that all people are good, and, basically, want the same things.

But if all people were basically good, why would we, increasingly, pass more and more elaborate laws?

The individual is not only best qualified to provide his own personal defense, he is the only one qualified to do so: and his right to do so is guaranteed by the Constitution.

President Obama seems to understand the Constitution as a “set of suggestions.” I cannot endorse his performance in office, but he wins my respect for taking those steps he deems necessary to ensure the safety of his family. Why would he want to prohibit me from doing the same?

Why, indeed? The Communist Leader, Vladimir Lenin ,answered that question very succinctly:

One man with a gun can control 100 without one.

Obama: Abortion? “Good.” Gun Control? “It’s For The Children.”

fetus1I was born three days before my mother’s 40th birthday.  To say I was a surprise is an understatement.  As I recently wrote, I truly believe that they were going to name me “oops”.   That being said, I am grateful that God convicted them regarding the sanctity of the life that my mother was carrying within her.

Prior to 1973, abortions were allowed in some states but restricted or almost banned in others. Every state legislature made their own decision on whether to allow abortions and under what circumstances.  There was no Federal Law in regards to abortion.   Then, in 1973, the U.S. Supreme Court gave us Roe v. Wade. It declared a Texas anti-abortion statute unconstitutional and, in doing so, affected abortion laws in many other states.

For any low  information voters who might be reading, I present the following summary:

Jane Roe was an unmarried and pregnant Texas resident in 1970. Texas law made it a felony to abort a fetus unless “on medical advice for the purpose of saving the life of the mother.” Roe filed suit against Wade, the district attorney of Dallas County, contesting the statue on the grounds that it violated the guarantee of personal liberty and the right to privacy implicitly guaranteed in the First, Fourth, Fifth, Ninth, and Fourteenth Amendments. In deciding for Roe, the Supreme Court invalidated any state laws that prohibited first trimester abortions.

“We … acknowledge our awareness of the sensitive and emotional nature of the abortion controversy, of the vigorous opposing views, even among physicians, and of the deep and seemingly absolute convictions that the subject inspires.” — Justice Blackmun (1973), majority opinion in Roe v. Wade

When you talk to Liberals about this stopping of a beathing heart, they will  claim that, a human fetus is “just a clump of cells”. 

From the scientific perspective, Dr. Carlo Bellieni, in his book “Dawn of the I: Pain, Memory, Desire, Dream of the Fetus,” says:

As soon as it is born, the child shows in a scientifically demonstrable way that it recognizes its mother’s voice and distinguishes it from that of a stranger. Where has he learned that voice other than in the maternal womb?

There are also direct proofs. For example, we register how the movements and cardiac frequency of the fetus vary if we transmit unexpected sounds through the uterine wall. And we see that at first the fetus is startled, then it gets used to it, just like we do when we hear something that does not interest us.

In fact, the scientific evidence is immense. We cannot understand how it can be thought that it becomes a person at a certain point, perhaps when coming out of the uterus.

From the physical point of view, at the birth very little really changes: Air enters the lungs, the arrival of blood from the placenta is interrupted, the type of circulation of blood in the heart changes, and not much more.

As I often say, only blind faith in magic arts or some strange divinity can lead one to think that there is a “human” quality leap at a given moment — certainly not science.

I know that there are some of you that read my blog that are non-believers.  For you and for my Christian brothers and sisters, I add the following thought:

There is a curious unique enzyme found in the human body.   Laminin is defined by the Webster Medical Dictionary as a “glycoprotein that is a component of connective tissue basement membrane and that promotes cell adhesion.”  In other words,glue within the body.

Colossians 1:15-17 tells us:

15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. 16For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. 17And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

Sarah Palin wrote the following words of wisdom in a post on the subject of the 40th anniversary of Roe vs. Wade, yesterday on Facebook:

…Our Founding Fathers declared: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.” However, since 1973, millions of children have been denied the basic right upon which all the others hinge: the right to life.

Lately, President Obama has taken to boldly highlighting children in his speeches. Using kids as the backdrop for his gun control speech, the President claimed his commitment to young ones. “If there’s even one life that can be saved, then we’ve got an obligation to try,” he said. He then outlined why gutting our Second Amendment is the means by which he believes we accomplish this. Every law-abiding citizen’s heart is broken when children are the target of men hell-bent on committing acts of evil, and we agree that the safety and protection of innocent life is paramount.

The hypocrisy of it all, however, is that while the President publicly acknowledges the value of “even one life” when it advances his own political agenda, he fails to acknowledge as much when it comes to protecting the lives of children soon to be born. In that same speech, he proclaimed that “when it comes to protecting the most vulnerable among us, we must act now.” Well, who is more vulnerable than those who find themselves at the mercy of others to honor their existence and receive them into our world? Are these—the truly vulnerable—not worthy of the protection of which the President speaks? Why is it that their cause is never the subject of one of his lofty addresses to the nation? Has he ever even mentioned the March for Life that takes place in his own back yard and ought to be worthy of at least a scant mention? If indeed we have an obligation to save “even one life,” when will we hear our President rally Americans to stand alongside women who find themselves in these less than ideal circumstances to offer the support they need, to encourage parents to choose life, and to promote the option of adoption? Instead, he has committed himself to the most liberal of abortion agendas—so much so that as a Senator he couldn’t even bring himself to support the Born Alive Act that would save the lives of babies ALREADY BORN and needing medical aid. Further, he believes taxpayers should betray their consciences by paying for his abortion agenda. This same President has stated he didn’t want his daughters “punished with a baby,” and remarked that it was “above my pay grade” to answer a pastor’s question: “At what point does a baby get human rights?” Yet now we are to somehow believe that children are the priority in his current aggressive campaign against the Second Amendment?

 Confusing, Isn’t it? Perhaps some words from The Author of Life can help illuminate matters a bit:

Did not He who made me in the womb make him, And the same one fashion us in the womb? (Job 31:15)

Yet Thou art He who didst bring me forth from the womb; Thou didst make me trust when upon my mother’s breasts. Upon Thee I was cast from birth; Thou hast been my God from my mother’s womb. (Psalm 22:9-10)

Obama’s Gun Control Announcement: Some Republicans Come Out Swinging.Others Bow Down.

gun-controlBy now, some of y’all are saying: “KJ, give it a rest. Why are you continuing to write about this? It’s over.”

No, it isn’t. As the late Senator John Blutarsky said,

It’s not over until we say it’s over. Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?

But, I digress…

The Republican Party seems to be split in this fight. However, it appears that there are some of our public servants, who are actually ready to fight on behalf of us “bitter clingers”.

Like Senator Ted Cruz of Texas,

Republican senator Ted Cruz of Texas said Thursday that Barack Obama is “high on his own power” with regard to the president’s announced efforts on gun control. Speaking on Laura Ingraham’s radio talk show, Cruz, who was just elected to the Senate last November, said “this is a president who has drunk the Kool-Aid.”

“He is feeling right now high on his own power, and he is pushing on every front, on guns,” Cruz said. “And I think it’s really sad to see the president of the United States exploiting the murder of children and using it to push his own extreme, anti-gun agenda. I think what the president is proposing and the gun control proposals that are coming from Democrats in the Senate are, number one, unconstitutional, and number two, they don’t work. They’re bad policy.”

Cruz told Ingraham that he does not believe Obama will be successful in passing gun control legislation and that the political ramifications of pursuing such laws could be bad for Democrats.

“I think he’s going to pay a serious political price, and I think the price that’s going to be paid on this is going to manifest in Senate races in 2014, in some red states,” Cruz said. “And there have got to be some Democrats who are up for reelection in 2014 who are very, very nervous right now that President Obama is picking this fight.”

But, then, there are the Vichy Republicans, like New Jersey’s own “Governor Zeppelin”, Chris Christie,

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is labeling “reprehensible” the National Rifle Association ad that brought President Barack Obama’s daughters into the gun-control debate.

The NRA ad accused the president of being a hypocrite for allowing his daughters to be protected by armed Secret Service agents but not embracing armed guards for schools.

The Republican governor and father of four said at a briefing Thursday in Trenton that the children of public figures should be off-limits to political attacks.

Christie again refused to take a position on Obama’s call for a federal assault weapons ban. The governor says he has no influence over what Congress and the president decide.

Christie has said he supports New Jersey’s current gun laws. They include an assault weapons ban in place for 21 years.

What a Tower of Jello. 

Coincidentally, what “Useless” said, actually happens to be what the President’s mouthpiece, Jay Carney, said.

So, what is The Regime going to do about the NRA? Their membership is skyrocketing, thanks to their brave, level-headed stand against Obama’s blatant attempt at gun confiscation.

Ben Shapiro, reporting for Breitbart.com, tells us the Administration’s plan:

The Obama administration puzzled many observers by leaving its campaign infrastructure largely in place in the aftermath of President Obama’s re-election win. Now we know why. According to Stephanie Cutter, President Obama’s former deputy campaign manager on Ed Schultz’s MSNBC program:

President Obama’s network across this country, grassroots individuals, who organize, volunteered with their time to get the president reelected are much more powerful than the NRA lobby. And I think that you can expect to see that network activated, very soon. And for good reason.

Cutter’s words should frighten Americans accustomed to the usual ins-and-outs of politics. Unlike prior presidents, who leveraged their campaign into power, then got down to the business of governing, Obama is running a permanent campaign intended to destroy his political opposition completely.

This has been his agenda for years – only now, the administration is pursuing full-scale opposition openly from within the White House. In the past, the President relied on his allies in the 501(c)3 charitable world to do his dirty work.

Last year, for example, President Obama set his lackeys at Media Matters and Color of Change on the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), which was then pushing voter ID laws. After George Zimmerman shot Trayvon Martin, Obama quickly inserted himself into the proceedings, declaring that Trayvon looked like his fictional son. In doing so, he lent air to the mainstream media narrative that Zimmerman had shot Martin in cold blood, and used Florida’s so-called “stand your ground” law as cover – and ALEC had pushed for “stand your ground.” In reality, nobody at the Sanford Police Department ever cited “stand your ground” as the rationale for Zimmerman’s release, and Zimmerman never said “stand your ground.” This was all an attempt to gin up public indignation at “stand your ground” laws, and by extension, ALEC. The Obama-generated assault on ALEC ended with ALEC disassociating from its more controversial political positions, as organizations like Coca-Cola, seeking to avoid scrutiny, cut ties.

That wasn’t the first time Obama had used his allies outside the administration to attempt to destroy political opposition. After Rush Limbaugh called media moth Sandra Fluke a “slut,” Obama jumped in to call her with his condolences – though he was nowhere to be found when the media was labeling Gov. Sarah Palin a “c***” (actually, Obama’s super PAC took $1 million from Bill Maher, the cretin who said that). Obama then helped push a Media Matters-led boycott on Rush’s advertisers.

Now it’s the NRA. The NRA was always the target of the Sandy Hook-exploiting media. The NRA receives no public funding, and writes no laws. Yet the media immediately suggested that the NRA abandon its positions and those of its members or face public wrath. No such suggestion was ever made with regard to the ACLU’s defense of ultra-violent video games. That’s because the NRA is a serious opponent to the left’s public sway. And so it must be destroyed.

To summarize, the Republicans are hardly unified in their opposition to Obama’s attempt at “gun confiscation”. There are some who are taking a pro-gun stance, some who are taking a stance in favor of gun control, and finally, there is the Republican Leadership, who are standing in the shadows.

Thank the Lord for the National Rifle Association. At least, they have the testi…err… intestinal fortitude to stand up to the tyrannical despot occupying OUR House at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, DC.

They’re doing the Republican Establishment’s job for them. All we’re hearing from the Moderate Elite is **crickets**.

Obama’s Gun Control Announcement: Blowback

Obamaguncontrol11613Yesterday, flanked by children, in an effort to make the unconstitutionality of his actions bearable to the American public, President Barack Hussein Obama announced that he was circumventing both the Constitution and Congress, and issuing 23 Executive Orders, designed to make him look good to low information voters, while at the same time provoking all of us  “Bitter Clingers”, living  in the Heartland.

Rush Limbaugh, himself a product of America’s Heartland, also believes that the president was deliberately provoking Americans:

I’ve got a story here about how the Democrats think — and this is what I mean when I ask, “Why is Obama doing this?” There’s nowhere near popular support for this. Nowhere near it. The actions of the American people indicate that. You don’t need me to tell you. And yet he is continually doing things, deliberately making people upset, deliberately driving people batty, attacking people’s sanity. They are scratching their heads, “Why is he doing this? Why is the president doing this? Why is the president so against us? Why is the president blaming us?”

People are asking this, and they are taking action, because the question they’re asking perplexes them. They don’t understand this. They’re running out and buying guns. They don’t know what to do. And the NRA’s got this ad that the left is just fit to be tied over. The NRA doesn’t back down like the Republican Party does. The NRA doesn’t back down at the first sign of criticism like most Republican and conservative institutions do. And I think they’re surprised. I think the regime thought the NRA would back down. Instead the NRA’s got an ad where they talk about the hypocrisy of Obama making sure that his kids are protected by armed guards everywhere they go, but that your kids can’t be.

The NRA is calling Obama an elitist, and the left and the media are up in arms over this and they’re asking, “Does everybody think that they’re in the same situation as the president? Of course the president needs to be protected. Of course the president’s kids need to be protected.” I got a column here from a leftist blog asking the people of the country, “Do you really think you’re in the same situation of the president?” Let me tell this leftist blogger something. As many kids are being shot on school campuses today, and as much senseless law is being passed about guns, I mean, if you actually proclaim a gun-free zone, you are providing a road map to somebody with a gun to go and take action. You’re telling somebody where to go, where they can’t be stopped.

Here is a list of all 23 Executive Orders:

1. Issue a Presidential Memorandum to require federal agencies to make relevant data available to the federal background check system.

2. Address unnecessary legal barriers, particularly relating to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, that may prevent states from making information available to the background check system.

3. Improve incentives for states to share information with the background check system.

4. Direct the Attorney General to review categories of individuals prohibited from having a gun to make sure dangerous people are not slipping through the cracks.

5. Propose rulemaking to give law enforcement the ability to run a full background check on an individual before returning a seized gun.

6. Publish a letter from ATF to federally licensed gun dealers providing guidance on how to run background checks for private sellers.

7. Launch a national safe and responsible gun ownership campaign.

8. Review safety standards for gun locks and gun safes (Consumer Product Safety Commission).

9. Issue a Presidential Memorandum to require federal law enforcement to trace guns recovered in criminal investigations.

10. Release a DOJ report analyzing information on lost and stolen guns and make it widely available to law enforcement.

11. Nominate an ATF director.

12. Provide law enforcement, first responders, and school officials with proper training for active shooter situations.

13. Maximize enforcement efforts to prevent gun violence and prosecute gun crime.

14. Issue a Presidential Memorandum directing the Centers for Disease Control to research the causes and prevention of gun violence.

15. Direct the Attorney General to issue a report on the availability and most effective use of new gun safety technologies and challenge the private sector to develop innovative technologies.

16. Clarify that the Affordable Care Act does not prohibit doctors asking their patients about guns in their homes.

17. Release a letter to health care providers clarifying that no federal law prohibits them from reporting threats of violence to law enforcement authorities.

18. Provide incentives for schools to hire school resource officers.

19. Develop model emergency response plans for schools, houses of worship and institutions of higher education.

20. Release a letter to state health officials clarifying the scope of mental health services that Medicaid plans must cover.

21. Finalize regulations clarifying essential health benefits and parity requirements within ACA exchanges.

22. Commit to finalizing mental health parity regulations.

23. Launch a national dialogue led by Secretaries Sebelius and Duncan on mental health.

Believe it or not, some Republicans are not backing down:

Per The Daily Caller, Sen. Rand Paul (R, KY) announced on “Hannity” last night that he plans to fight this bunch of garbage in the Senate:

Appearing on Hannity, Paul said he’ll introduce the bill early next week. “In this bill, we will nullify anything the president does that smacks of legislation. And there are several of the executive orders that appear as if he’s writing new law. That cannot happen.”

“I’m afraid that President Obama may have this king complex sort of developing, and we’re going to make sure that doesn’t happen,” Paul said.

Several state Governors, like ours here in Mississippi, Phil Bryant, have already issued letters to their State Legislatures, requesting that laws be passed to block Obama’s unconstitutional EOs.

And, I have some additional bad news for our imperial president: If he thinks America’s doctors are going to be his personal spies he’s got another thing coming.

My doctor reads this blog…and feels the same way about the Manchurian President as the rest of us Conservatives here in the Heartland.

He’s not impressed….to say the least.

Obama made a lot of Americans very angry yesterday….except gun shop owners.

They are selling out of all of their stock.

Obama was not raised like an average American.

Obama’s Gun Control Announcement: “So, This is How Liberty Dies…”

guncontrolToday is the day that President Barack Hussein Obama (mm mmm mmmm) is going to announce his plan to disarm law-abiding Americans. (If any of y’all think that anything he proposes today will keep guns out of the hand of criminals, I have two bridges over the Mississippi River at Memphis to sell you.)

The Washington Post has the story:

President Obama on Wednesday will formally announce the most aggressive and expansive national gun-control agenda in generations as he presses Congress to mandate background checks for all firearm buyers and prohibit assault weapons and high-capacity ammunition clips.

The announcement will set off a fierce confrontation with Congress over an issue that has riven American society for decades. Obama’s far-reaching firearms agenda has at best tepid support from his party leaders and puts him at loggerheads with Democratic centrists.

Days before his second inauguration, Obama is seeking to drive the guns debate in a way that contrasts with the accommodating approach he often took during his first term. In the weeks ahead, he will attempt to rally popular support to bend the will of lawmakers to vote for what he considers the ideal, not merely the possible.

“Yes, we can reduce gun violence, but it’s something we have to do together,” White House press secretary Jay Carney told reporters Tuesday. “It’s something that cannot be done by a president alone. It can’t be done by a single community alone or a mayor or a governor or by Congress alone. We all have to work together.”

Obama will begin this effort Wednesday in the presence of children who wrote him letters after last month’s mass shooting at an elementary school in Newtown, Conn., and who have been invited to Washington to attend the rollout.

When news leaked out that ol’ Scooter was going to use children for props for his gun grabfest tomorrow, Conservatives’ ire got raised.  I know that mine sure did.

Megyn Kelly tackled the subject of Obama using children as props on her Fox News Program.

After it was revealed that tomorrow’s announcement on gun control will feature children standing beside the president, Fox News’ America Live panel debated whether those kids are being used “as props” to help the White House advance its desired policies.

Conservative radio host Chris Plante kicked off the debate by lamenting that this sort of move “has become de rigueur in American politics, but it’s clinical, it is shameless, it is the use of children as props to advance an agenda that existed long before the Sandy Hook tragedy.”

He continued to tear into the idea: “[The children] will be stacked according to skin color and ethnicity to frame the president’s face because it’s essentially part of the propaganda package as they present their bill of goods that will not solve the problem that we’re attempting to solve,” he said.

Host Megyn Kelly then brought up the fact that the children wrote to the president and were given permission by their parents to appear at the event, but asked if Obama was trying to “guilt the opposition.”

Liberal contributor Leslie Marshall responded that “I don’t think he’s trying to guilt anybody,” and that having children stand with the president is unlikely to sway minds on an issue so divisive as gun control. However, she cited the fact that previous presidents, left and right, have used children for major bill signings, including the Americans with Disabilities Act and Megan’s Law.

Kelly then challenged Plante to consider whether he’d be as outraged “if a Republican president came out and pushed an anti-abortion bill and had a bunch of children standing behind him.”

“Yeah, surrounded by infants, by preemies, when speaking against abortion,” Plante snarked. This is just how cynical things have gotten in this town, quite honestly. It’s purely for the imagery, which they recognize is probably more important than what’s in the legislation.”

Kelly then asked Plante whether he’d be more open to the president’s announcement if it included, in addition to some gun control measures, planned steps for “looking at” how the mental health care system and violent video games have contributed to a violent culture.

“There are cultural factors that most of us would acknowledge and accept also contribute to the state of affairs in the United States when it comes to young people and their willingness to kill a whole bunch of people,” Plante replied, before pointing the finger at “Hollywood movies” which he believes contributes to our culture “treat[ing] human life in a trivial fashion in a panoply of ways.” However, he said, “I don’t see the president pushing back against Hollywood or video game makers.”

He then went after the “macro-cynicism” of the Obama camp for essentially proposing stricter gun control laws “they wanted to propose before Sandy Hook and getting it through, essentially, on the backs of the tragedy and then using children as props to back up their essentially phony arguments that this is going to reduce the likelihood that something like this is going to happen again in the future.”

While researching the use of children by politicians, I happened to come upon a pdf article titled “Children and Politics”. I have no idea as to whom the author is, but they definitely got it right:

The (mis)use of children for political and propaganda purposes is linked mainly to the 20th century and mass political parties and movements such as communism and fascism. Sports, culture and other organizations for children and young people became tools in the hands of national political and religious movements and leaders.

National propaganda, particularly prior to the Balkan wars, was also spread through schools, textbooks, pupils’ organizations, choral societies, etc. Schoolchildren’s compulsory attendance at public events of national and political character was also a form of the involvement of children and young people in politics and the diffusion of political propaganda. The dissemination of books on national history, patriotic poetry, maps showing the territorial pretensions of the individual nations, and popular pictures of national heroes were methods used to raise the ”national awareness“ of the younger part of the population both in those countries that had gained independence (Greece, Montenegro, Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria) and in those countries within the borders of Austria-Hungary and the Ottoman Empire (Croatia, Slovenia, Hungary, Albania).

Nonetheless, the politization of children and young people and their (mis)use for political purposes assumed particular significance after the First World War under the influence of authoritarian and totalitarian regimes.

All evidence, as I  stated in yesterday’s Blog, points to the fact that Obama’s gun-grabbing announcement, being made today, has been years in the making, lying dormant, like an Alligator Snapping Turtle on the bottom of a lake, just waiting to grab a fish innocently swimming by.

Just as Obama and his minions are using the children standing up there on the podium today, they are also using the deaths of those sweet, innocent children, murdered by a madman in Newtown, Connecticut, as an opportunity to take away the guns of innocent, law-abiding Americans. Meanwhile, the MSM cheerleaders will spend the day trying to sell Americans on what a great speech their Dear Leader just gave.

I am sadly reminded of a classic line from a movie:

Gun Control: Biden Announces Obama to Implement 19 EOs. The Constitution Cries.

secondamendmentToday’s the day Vice-President Biden will present the recommendations of his Gun Control Task Force to President Barack Hussein Obama. However, these results appear to be worth about as much as one of Obama’s promises.

You see, gentle reader, Crazy Uncle Joe let the cat out of the bag, yesterday.

The White House has identified 19 executive actions for President Barack Obama to move unilaterally on gun control, Vice President Joe Biden told a group of House Democrats on Monday, the administration’s first definitive statements about its response to last month’s mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

Later this week, Obama will formally announce his proposals to reduce gun violence, which are expected to include renewal of the assault weapons ban, universal background checks and prohibition of high-capacity magazine clips. But Biden, who has been leading Obama’s task force on the response, spent two hours briefing a small group of sympathetic House Democrats on the road ahead in the latest White House outreach to invested groups.

The focus on executive orders is the result of the White House and other Democrats acknowledging the political difficulty of enacting any new gun legislation, a topic Biden did not address in Monday’s meeting.

The executive actions could include giving the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention authority to conduct national research on guns, more aggressive enforcement of existing gun laws and pushing for wider sharing of existing gun databases among federal and state agencies, members of Congress in the meeting said.

“It was all focusing on enforcing existing law, administering things like improving the background database, things like that that do not involve a change in the law but enforcing and making sure that the present law is administered as well as possible,” said Rep. Bobby Scott (D-Va.).

The White House declined to comment on the details of what Obama will propose.

Remember what the Second Amendment to OUR Constitution says?

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

Evidently, OUR Constitution doesn’t matter a hill of beans to the Manchurian President. Ladies and gentlemen, the Great One, Mark Levin, is right: We have an imperial president:

I’m not into imperial presidents who act imperial and speak imperial and Obama forgets there’s a Constitution. Yes, he keeps telling us he won reelection. Congratulations, but guess what? The Constitution wasn’t up for election, it’s not up for a referendum. He has to comply with it, too.

He was sent back to Washington, but he’s got a strict list of rules that he has to follow as president. When he gets up there and starts saying, if Congress doesn’t do this, I’m going to do this unilaterally, it violates separation of power a lot of the times. And this is a man pushing the edge of the envelope as far as i’m concerned, whether it’s the appointment clause, whether it’s his unilateral action on immigration, whether it’s trashing the commerce clause and the tax clauses under Obamacare. Now they’re talking about executive orders on the Second Amendment. They’ve issued regulations on First Amendment attacking religious liberty. This notion that he might be able to lift the debt ceiling, you know, unilaterally under the Fourteenth Amendment.

What the hell is this? He was elected president. Congratulations. This guy makes Richard Nixon look like a man who followed the law all the time. I think we have an imperial president, he sounds imperial, he’s arrogant as hell and I’m furious about this and I’m going to tell you why. We are a magnificent country. We don’t need to be turned upside down. We don’t need to run from crisis to crisis to crisis. He’s bankrupting this country.

President Obama seems determined to circumvent the system of checks and balances which Our Founding Fathers have so wisely put in place, in order to prevent exactly what our imperial president is attempting to do.

Therefore, one can say that the president’s proposed actions are no less than tyrannical.

What did our Founding Fathers have to say about Tyranny?

Our Liberal friends, as President Reagan used to call them have been camouflaging the issue, calling it “Gun Safety”instead of Gun Control. They insist that any draconian measures taken by Obama is “for the good of the country”. They claim that they’re coming after our assault weapons, but they’re nebulous in describing exactly what an “assault weapon is”…because there is no such weapon class.

And, finally, they have decided that they are the final arbiter of what the Second Amendment means. They claim that it is referring foreign enemies, only, and therefore, since we have the finest Armed Forces in the world, American Citizens do not need to be armed. Or, that it is just meant to allow guns for hunting, only…and, the “State” is more than adequate to provide for the safety of  American Citizens.

Right. Tell that to all of the murder victims in Chicago, Detroit, Memphis, etcetera, ad infinitum.

I have three answers to these claims which we have all heard from Liberals:

1. It’s not “Gun Safety” or “Gun Control”. It’s Gun Confiscation.

2. American citizens will decide what is is appropriate and safe for our families…and how to protect our children. 

3. We are quite confident in the abilities of our Brightest and Best to protect us from our foreign enemies.

It is the domestic enemies  who we seek to protect our families, friends and neighbors from.

Obama Wants to Disarm America (Welcome to the Proletariat.)

gun rightsPresident Barack Hussein Obama (mm mmm mmmm) appeared yesterday on NBC (The National Barack Channel) on the program “Meet The Press”. During the program he told Americans, in no uncertain terms, that he’s coming after our guns.

Is this 1917 Russia?

Anyway, here are excerpts of what he said, courtesy of thehill.com:

I’m going to be putting forward a package and I’m going to be putting my full weight behind it. I’m going to be making an argument to the American people about why this is important and why we have to do everything we can to make sure that something like what happened at Sandy Hook Elementary does not happen again.

…I’ve been very clear that an assault-rifle ban, banning these high capacity clips, background checks, that there are a set of issues that I have historically supported and will continue to support.

…I’d like to get it done in the first year. I will put forward a very specific proposal based on the recommendations that Joe Biden’s task force is putting together as we speak. And so this is not something that I will be putting off.

During the interview, ol’ Scooter  said that he hoped to involve all “stakeholders” in the national debate over gun violence, but he expressed unease with the NRA’s proposal. (I’m shocked.)

…I am not going to prejudge the recommendations that are given to me. I am skeptical that the only answer is putting more guns in schools. And I think the vast majority of the American people are skeptical that that somehow is going to solve our problem.

…I think there are a vast majority of responsible gun owners out there who recognize that we can’t have a situation in which somebody with severe psychological problems is able to get the kind of high-capacity weapons that this individual in Newtown obtained and gun down our kids.

Here’s the thing:  Lanza, the Newtown Mass Murderer, attempted to buy guns a week before the shooting and was turned down. The system works.

It not the gun’s fault.  A gun is an inanimate object, incapable of  thought and in capable of pulling its own trigger. It’s the individual pulling the trigger.

Political Pundit, Dr. Charles Krauthammer, reminded us of this, in his op ed piece, published December 20, 2012:

Monsters shall always be with us, but in earlier days they did not roam free. As a psychiatrist in Massachusetts in the 1970s, I committed people — often right out of the emergency room — as a danger to themselves or to others. I never did so lightly, but I labored under none of the crushing bureaucratic and legal constraints that make involuntary commitment infinitely more difficult today.

Why do you think we have so many homeless? Destitution? Poverty has declined since the 1950s. The majority of those sleeping on grates are mentally ill. In the name of civil liberties, we let them die with their rights on.

A tiny percentage of the mentally ill become mass killers. Just about everyone around Tucson shooter Jared Loughner sensed he was mentally ill and dangerous. But in effect, he had to kill before he could be put away — and (forcibly) treated.

Random mass killings were three times more common in the 2000s than in the 1980s, when gun laws were actually weaker. Yet a 2011 University of California at Berkeley study found that states with strong civil commitment laws have about a one-third lower homicide rate.

…We live in an entertainment culture soaked in graphic, often sadistic, violence. Older folks find themselves stunned by what a desensitized youth finds routine, often amusing. It’s not just movies. Young men sit for hours pulling video-game triggers, mowing down human beings en masse without pain or consequence. And we profess shock when a small cadre of unstable, deeply deranged, dangerously isolated young men go out and enact the overlearned narrative.

…If we’re serious about curtailing future Columbines and Newtowns, everything — guns, commitment, culture — must be on the table. It’s not hard for President Obama to call out the NRA. But will he call out the ACLU? And will he call out his Hollywood friends?

Mr. President, I understand that you believe yourself smarter than all of the gentlemen I quoted, and, additionally, you believe that our Constitution is a “fluid” document, meant to be revised regularly. However, I would suggest you go do something about the 5o0 murders last year in your hometown of Chicago, a city with strict gun control laws, before you try to take away the guns of law-abiding Americans.

Try to confiscate the criminals’ guns, first. Good luck.

The NRA Fires Back…With Both Barrels!

gun-controlYesterday, the President of the National Rifle Association, Wayne LaPierre, held a Press Conference to respond to the horrible murders in Newtown, Connecticut, which were committed by a blood-thirsty psychopath.

Here is an excerpt from the speech he gave to open yesterday’s Press Conference:

…The truth is that our society is populated by an unknown number of genuine monsters — people so deranged, so evil, so possessed by voices and driven by demons that no sane person can possibly ever comprehend them. They walk among us every day. And does anybody really believe that the next Adam Lanza isn’t planning his attack on a school he’s already identified at this very moment?

How many more copycats are waiting in the wings for their moment of fame — from a national media machine that rewards them with the wall-to-wall attention and sense of identity that they crave — while provoking others to try to make their mark?

A dozen more killers? A hundred? More? How can we possibly even guess how many, given our nation’s refusal to create an active national database of the mentally ill?

And the fact is, that wouldn’t even begin to address the much larger and more lethal criminal class: Killers, robbers, rapists and drug gang members who have spread like cancer in every community in this country. Meanwhile, federal gun prosecutions have decreased by 40% — to the lowest levels in a decade.

So now, due to a declining willingness to prosecute dangerous criminals, violent crime is increasing again for the first time in 19 years! Add another hurricane, terrorist attack or some other natural or man-made disaster, and you’ve got a recipe for a national nightmare of violence and victimization.

And here’s another dirty little truth that the media try their best to conceal: There exists in this country a callous, corrupt and corrupting shadow industry that sells, and sows, violence against its own people.

Through vicious, violent video games with names like Bulletstorm, Grand Theft Auto, Mortal Kombat and Splatterhouse. And here’s one: it’s called Kindergarten Killers. It’s been online for 10 years. How come my research department could find it and all of yours either couldn’t or didn’t want anyone to know you had found it?

Then there’s the blood-soaked slasher films like “American Psycho” and “Natural Born Killers” that are aired like propaganda loops on “Splatterdays” and every day, and a thousand music videos that portray life as a joke and murder as a way of life. And then they have the nerve to call it “entertainment.”

But is that what it really is? Isn’t fantasizing about killing people as a way to get your kicks really the filthiest form of pornography?

In a race to the bottom, media conglomerates compete with one another to shock, violate and offend every standard of civilized society by bringing an ever-more-toxic mix of reckless behavior and criminal cruelty into our homes — every minute of every day of every month of every year.

A child growing up in America witnesses 16,000 murders and 200,000 acts of violence by the time he or she reaches the ripe old age of 18.

And throughout it all, too many in our national media … their corporate owners … and their stockholders … act as silent enablers, if not complicit co-conspirators. Rather than face their own moral failings, the media demonize lawful gun owners, amplify their cries for more laws and fill the national debate with misinformation and dishonest thinking that only delay meaningful action and all but guarantee that the next atrocity is only a news cycle away.

Today, I will be out among the masses, shopping for my bride’s Christmas Present(s). However, not everybody will be shopping for the season, they’ll be shopping for their family’s defense.  They will be buying guns.

Whatever Obama and his Liberal Legion of Liars thought that they would be accomplishing by starting the War on Guns, again, the fact of the matter is:

Their threat to confiscate Americans’ guns is backfiring spectacularly!

The shootings triggered both a wave of anti-gun talk and a wave of buying by gun owners and enthusiasts. President Obama appointed Vice President Joe Biden to lead a gun violence task force. The group’s charge is to present to the President by the end of January the best ideas to reduce gun violence. It is a charge that has many fearing a ban on owning some, if not all, guns.

“Talk of banning the weapons is driving sales,” said Jeff Dillard, co-owner of the National Armory Gun Store & Range in Pompano Beach, Fl. “It’s an incredible knee jerk reaction to what the President said. He put Biden in charge of it and they [politicians] will go crazy like they usually do. So customers want to get weapons before a ban is put in place.”

Dillard called sales in the four days “incredible.” On Wednesday he said the store did four times the sales volume it did on the same day last year. “The expensive guns went first, then the middle of the road guns went next,” he said. “The cheap, less expensive guns will probably go today.”

It is not only guns that are people are buying up, it is ammunition too.

“I’ve sold more bulk ammo (1000 rounds) in the last three business days than I have all year,” said Henry Parro co-owner of Parro’s Gun Shop and Police Supplies in Waterbury, VT. “Customers are using their hand carts to load their cars.”

Parro said with Biden in charge of the gun violence task force, his clients sees the handwriting on the wall and they are deciding to exercise their right and buy guns now. As a senator, Biden steered a now expired ban on assault weapons through Congress, and has been a long-time supporter for stricter gun laws.

What Obama, his Administration, Internet-trolling Liberals, and their propagandists,  the Main Stream Media, have not figured out, is this simple fact:  Americans love our freedom. We are not like any other people on this planet. Just as our Forefathers were men of faith and conviction, so remain Americans here in the Heartland. 

You know of whom I refer: that massive ocean of red you see, when you look at a map of the way Americans voted on November 6th, 2012.

We remain the bedrock of America. The citizens who pay their taxes, work on its farms and in its factories, and fight and die on far-flung battlefields.

We are Americans. We never quit. We never surrender.

And, we will not give up our Second Amendment rights.

It’s a Freedom Thing.

It’s…an American Thing.
