AG Barr Announces a “Significant Escalation”…Several New Sanctions Against Sanctuary Cities and States

You may have seen this already, however, it explains illegal immigration as succinctly as anything I’ve come across:

Let’s pretend I broke into your house.  When you discover me there, you insist I leave.  But I say, “I’ve made all the beds, washed the dishes, did the laundry, and cleaned the floors; I’ve done all the work you don’t like to do. I’m hardworking and honest (except for breaking into your house). Not only must you let me stay, you must also add me to your insurance plan, educate my kids, and provide these benefits to my husband, too (he will do your yard work, he’s honest and hardworking too–except for that breaking in part). If you try to force me out, I will call my friends who will picket your house and proclaim my right to be there! It’s only fair, because you have a nicer house than I do, and I’m trying to better myself. I’m hardworking and honest…except for, well, you know. I will live in your house, contributing only a fraction of the cost of my keep, and there is nothing you can do about it without being accused of selfishness and prejudice.

Oh yeah, I want you to learn my language so you can communicate with me.

Good plan..don’t you think?

Charging that so-called “sanctuary” cities that protect illegal immigrants are jeopardizing domestic security, Attorney General Bill Barr announced a slew of additional sanctions that he called a “significant escalation” against left-wing local and state governments that obstruct the “lawful functioning of our nation’s immigration system.”

Speaking at the National Sheriff’s Association 2020 Winter Legislative and Technology Conference in Washington, D.C., Barr said the Justice Department would immediately file multiple lawsuits against sanctuary jurisdictions for unconstitutionally interfering with federal immigration enforcement, and implement unprecedented national reviews of left-wing sanctuary governments and prosecutors.

“Let us state the reality upfront and as clearly as possible,” Barr began. “When we are talking about sanctuary cities, we are talking about policies that are designed to allow criminal aliens to escape. These policies are not about people who came to our country illegally but have otherwise been peaceful and productive members of society.  Their express purpose is to shelter aliens whom local law enforcement has already arrested for other crimes.  This is neither lawful nor sensible.”

The DOJ has now filed a federal complaint against the State of New Jersey seeking declaratory and injunctive relief “against its laws that forbid state and local law enforcement from sharing vital information about criminal aliens with DHS,” Barr said.

That was a reference to New Jersey Attorney General Law Enforcement Directive 2018-6, which the DOJ says illegally bars officials from sharing the immigration status and release dates of individuals in custody. It also requires New Jersey law enforcement to “promptly notify a detained individual, in writing and in a language the individual can understand” if Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) files an immigration detainer request for the individual.

Additionally, “we are filing a complaintseeking declaratory and injunctive relief against King County, Washington, for the policy… that forbids DHS from deporting aliens from the United States using King County International Airport,” Barr said.

That lawsuit targets King County Executive Order PFC-7-1-EO, which the DOJ said has dramatically increased operating costs for ICE as detainees have had to be transported to Yakima, Washington. The executive order unconstitutionally conflicts with the federal Airline Deregulation Act, which “prohibits localities such as King County from enacting or enforcing laws or regulations that relate to prices, routes, or services of air carriers,” the DOJ said.

“Further, we are reviewing the practices, policies, and laws of other jurisdictions across the country.  This includes assessing whether jurisdictions are complying with our criminal laws, in particular the criminal statute that prohibits the harboring or shielding of aliens in the United States,” Barr added, noting that the DOJ would support DHS with “federal subpoenas to access information about criminal aliens in the custody of uncooperative jurisdictions.”

And, Barr said, “we are meticulously reviewing the actions of certain district attorneys who have adopted policiesof charging foreign nationals with lesser offenses for the express purpose of avoiding the federal immigration consequences of those nationals’ criminal conduct.  In pursuing their personal ambitions and misguided notions of equal justice, these district attorneys are systematically violating the rule of law and may even be unlawfully discriminating against American citizens.”

Prosecutors in New York and California have changed their policies so that prosecutors explicitly consider so-called “collateral consequences,” including deportation, before pursuing certain charges.

Sanctuary cities, Barr said, are defined as those with policies that allow “criminal aliens to escape” federal law enforcement — and some jurisdictions are becoming “more aggressive” in undermining immigration authorities, with local politicians  even developing “schemes” to circumvent immigration officials.

In 2018, Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf blew the whistle on an imminent raidby federal immigration authorities, tweeting out a warning to illegal immigrants in advance and helping them hide.

As the president did during last week’s State of the Union address, the attorney general cited several instances in which illegal immigrants were able to commit deadly crimes because they were sheltered by left-wing sanctuaries.

It’s about time action was taken against these politicians who are endangering the lives of American citizens.

It is long overdue.

The last bipartisan U.S. Commission on Immigration Reform wrangled with the hot topic of Illegal Immigration for six years. President Clinton appointed former congresswoman and Democratic icon Barbara Jordan as its chair. Jordan came from humble beginnings to become a lawyer and the first Southern black woman elected to the House of Representatives. A DEMOCRAT, she was a leader in the civil rights movement, a professor of ethics, a recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, and a world-class orator (two of her speeches are considered among the greatest of the 20th century). Her appointment gave the commission instant credibility. According to Jordan, she believed her responsibility as the head of the commission was to restore credibility to the U.S. immigration system. On the issue of illegal immigration, Jordan was very clear and succinct:

Unlawful immigration is unacceptable. Those who should not be here will be required to leave.

I wonder what Rep. Jordan would think of her beloved Democratic Party, now that they have embraced and are not only welcoming the same illegality, which she was so clear about, but protecting illegal aliens from deportation?

And, how would she feel about the fact that innocent Americans are being murdered by these uninvited guests?

I believe that she would stand with our current President.

So, why are these Democratic Mayors refusing to abide by our nation’s laws by HARBORING FUGITIVES?

Liberals, on both sides of the Political Aisle, have continuously masked their true intentions for the political usefulness, in their incessant push to grant blanket amnesty to Illegal Aliens, by swathing it in the noble rhetoric of “Civil Rights” and “Social Justice”.

What makes the current influx of illegal immigrants exempt from the rules and regulations that every other generation of immigrants to this country had to abide by in order to become legal citizens of the greatest nation in the world? By being here illegally, they are not entitled to the same rights as natural-born or naturalized American citizens.

And, yet, even as I write this, they are in our hospitals, taking advantage of our charity and the finest health care system in the world, and driving our streets, with either forged drivers licenses or those obtained from states who have acquiesced and given them to these “undocumented workers”.

This is in no way a human rights issue.

Freedom is God-given, and with freedom comes responsibility. With citizenship comes responsibility, like paying taxes and making your own way.

Attempting to assign “Constitutional Rights” to those who are here illegally is a usurpation of power Democratic local and national Politicians.

I understand that people want a better life for themselves and their children.  We are all immigrants in this land, except for American Indians, and they got here by crossing the Bering Straight.  But there is a huge difference between immigrating here legally and sneaking in illegally, between assimilating into an existing culture, and insisting on replacing a country’s existing culture with that of the country you left.

I’m all for assisting anyone in becoming a legal citizen of the United States, if that is their wish.  But, it must be done the right way, and they must accept responsibility for their illegal entry, show a willingness to learn our language, and embrace our American way of life, including respecting the American Flag.

Those who came here illegally and taken advantage of our benevolence need to be deported.

If they want to become Americans, they can get in line and do it legally.

Oscars Politicized Again as Brad Pitt Attacks Republican Senators for No Witnesses at Impeachment Trial…Who Asked Him for His Opinion?

The Academy Awards were the brainchild of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), formed in 1927. The AMPAS was created through collaborative effort of 36 most prominent individuals, who worked within the motion picture industry.

Film actor Douglas Fairbanks, Sr. was chosen as the first president of the Academy. The awards were established to honor the talented artists of the Motion Picture Industry. The first Academy Awards ceremony was held on May 16, 1929, at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. It was a very private affair, with only two hundred seventy people as guests. The awards were given in the banquet, set up at the hotel’s Blossom Room. The tickets for the guest tickets cost $5.

The first Oscar Ceremony consisted of the handing out of awards in 12 categories and two special honors.

The awards were meant to honor people responsible for cinematic achievements in 1927 and 1928. There was a very little element of surprise at the first Oscar Awards ceremony, as the names of the winners had been declared three months in advance. The entire affair was a lengthy one, filled with speeches. However, Douglas Fairbanks, the Academy President, moved things along as best he could, handing out the golden statues to the winners like a modern-day McDonalds Employee at the Drive-Thru Window.

Yes, boys and girls, once upon a time the Academy Awards celebrated individual achievement in the field of Professional Cinema.

That was then. This is now.

After winning the first award of the 2020 Oscars, Brad Pitt took a shot at Republican senators who voted against calling witnesses at President Trump’s impeachment trial.

The four-time Academy Award nominee won the best-supporting actor accolade for his role as a stuntman in “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.” The win marked his first-ever Academy Award win for acting. He immediately took the stage and got political by taking a jab at senators who voted against Democrats’ requests to call new witnesses in the impeachment trial, specifically former National Security Adviser John Bolton, who claimed he was willing to testify.

“They told me I only have 45 seconds up here, which is 45 seconds more than the Senate gave John Bolton this week,” Pitt said. “I’m thinking maybe Quentin [Tarantino] does a movie about it. In the end, the adults do the right thing.”

No new witnesses were called in Trump’s impeachment trial, for which he was ultimately acquitted by the Senate in a vote across party lines, with the exception of a lone Republican vote to convict coming from Sen. Mitt Romney.

Pitt had been expected to win the category after scooping up a series of honors this year, including at the Golden Globes and Screen Actors Guild Awards. Pitt’s politically driven tone was significantly different than previous wins, where he kept it light with jokes and breezy speeches.

Speaking backstage, the actor explained why he included a political jab in his Oscars acceptance speech.

“I was really disappointed with this week,” he told reporters (via IndieWire). “And I think when gamesmanship trumps doing the right thing, it’s a sad day and I don’t think we should let it slide, and I’m very serious about that.”

Pitt was not the only actor to politicize his comments as Joaquin Phoenix used his lengthy, emotional best actor acceptance speech to discuss the state of humanity. In fact, even Karl Marx was mentioned during the Barack Obama-produced film in a speech by Julia Reichert, the co-director of best documentary winner “American Factory.”

Pitt was more somber on Sunday, calling his win “incredible” as his peers cheered.

The actor plays the stunt double of an aging cowboy actor played by Leonardo DiCaprio, a best actor nominee, in Quentin Tarantino’s 1969 Hollywood fable.

“‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,’ ain’t that the truth,” an emotional Pitt said before he thanked his children, Tarantino and DiCaprio.

“I’ll ride on your coattails any day,” he concluded of his co-star. “The view’s fantastic.”

I wonder what the swashbuckling man’s man, Douglas Fairbanks, Sr., would have thought about no-talent crybabies like Brad Pitt and the others who last night took a part in politicizing the award show that he worked so had to get off the ground?

He probably would have punched them right in the mouth.

Once again, the Hollywood “Elite” on the Left of the Political Spectrum who voted for Hillary Clinton to be our next President of the United States of America, continue in public to show their hindquarters, continuing to throw the longest temper tantrum that the world has ever seen over the results of an American Presidential Election, that happened more than three years ago.

These self-proclaimed activists are making a lie out of the claim that they have made for years that they are the most tolerant…and “gifted” among us.

The Liberal Elite have always believed that our country revolves around the big metropolitan areas in the Northeast and in California. They have always looked down their noses at what they derisively call “Flyover Country”, the same area that many of us call the Heartland of America or simply “home”.

Over the last few several decades, Hollywood has vied for the title of “Sin City” with “Lost Wages (Las Vegas) through its glorification of the decadent and demonic. The family-friendly, morally based classic horror films such as “Dracula”, “Frankenstein”, and “The Wolf Man”, have long since been replaced by Jason, Freddy, “Jigsaw”, and Stephen King’s “It”.

Meanwhile, Hollywood produces movies which They would like to see, like the unintentionally scary movie version of the hit musical “Cats”, which bombed at the Box Office.

What is interesting to note, though, in the middle of the continuing Liberal Takeover and ongoing Political Meltdown in Hollyweird is the backlash by average Americans to the attempted shaping of our American Culture and Society. Please note the overwhelming continuing popularity of Super Hero Movies, in which Good triumphs over Evil.

Just like the results of the 2016 Presidential Election.

Yes…I said it.

Just like their fellow Modern American Liberals who run Democratic Party, the disconnected “dancing monkeys” in Tinsel Town and the Big Apple never saw Trump’s victory coming.

At this point, all their incessant national temper tantrum is doing, is making them look like fools.

I don’t remember any of us average Americans asking them for their opinion as to how we should vote, do you?

Perhaps, if they got their noses out of the air and actually associated with their families and former friends “back home”, instead of kissing each other’s hindquarters at the latest Premiere or “social event”, perhaps they and reality would not have taken divergent paths, and they would conduct themselves and comport themselves like those Hollywood Legends before them, who served their country during World War II, doing whatever they could to help America defeat fascism.

And, perhaps, they would have had the intestinal fortitude to have shown Harvey Weinstein the door a long time ago.

As it has been, ever since the Entertainment Industry became “woke”, last night was nothing but an exercise in self-adulation by a bunch of self- absorbed, over-medicated, under-talented, bodyguard-using, gated community-living America-hating Liberals who want to tell us “commoners” that we should not listen to that still small voice in each of us and embrace decadence and turn in our Bibles and guns, while at the same time foreswearing any traditional American Ethics and Values which we still hold dear, in order to properly worship them and the Altar of Political Correctness which they have helped to create.

To which I and the overwhelming majority of average Americans living between the coasts reply in unison…

Carville on the Dems: “We’re losing our D**n Minds”…What Do you Mean “Losing”?

James Carville, a former top adviser to President Clinton, laid out a scathing critique of his party, arguing that it drifted way too far to the left and was on the way to failure as a result of pushing extreme policy ideas.

“We just had an election in 2018. We did great. We talked about everything we needed to talk about and we won,” he said in a Vox interview published on Friday. “And now it’s like we’re losing our damn minds. Someone’s got to step their game up here.”

Carville added that he considered himself a “liberal” rather than a centrist — but Democrats went too far even for him.

“They’ve tacked off the damn radar screen,” he said when asked if the party moved too far left.

His comments came just after another interview in which he said he was “scared to death” after Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., netted a large portion of the vote in Iowa’s caucuses.

According to Carville, both Sanders and Sens. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., were pushing “stupid” ideas about higher education.

“Democrats talking about free college tuition or debt forgiveness. I’m not here to debate the idea. What I can tell you is that people all over this country worked their way through school, sent their kids to school, paid off student loans. They don’t want to hear this s–t. And you saw Warren confronted by an angry voter over this. It’s just not a winning message,” he said.

Carville was referring to a tense interaction in which a father blasted Warren for forgiving student debt after he and his daughter worked to pay off her loans.

Carville also took a shot at Sanders for saying that he wanted to expand voting rights for people like the Boston bomber. Sanders, the well-known Democratic strategist suggested, would be ineffective as president and wasn’t representative of the Democratic Party. Instead, Carville said, he is an “ideologue.”

“[H]ere’s what I do know: Sanders might get 280 electoral votes and win the presidency and maybe we keep the House,” Carville said. “But there’s no chance in hell we’ll ever win the Senate with Sanders at the top of the party defining it for the public …So long as McConnell runs the Senate, it’s game over. There’s no chance we’ll change the courts and nothing will happen, and he’ll just be sitting up there screaming in the microphone about the revolution.”

At one point, Carville took aim at a New York Times writer, who posted a “snarky tweet” about Louisiana State University (LSU) — Carville’s alma mater.

“You know how f—–g patronizing that is to people in the South or in the middle of the country? First, LSU has an unusually high graduation rate, but that’s not the point. It’s the goddamn smugness. This is from a guy who lives in New York and serves on the Times editorial board and there’s not a single person he knows that doesn’t pat him on the back for that kind of tweet. He’s so f—–g smart.

“[Binyamin] Appelbaum doesn’t speak for the Democratic Party, but he does represent the urbanist mindset,” he said. “We can’t win the Senate by looking down at people. The Democratic Party has to drive a narrative that doesn’t give off vapors that we’re smarter than everyone or culturally arrogant.”

It’s a little too late for that, Jimmy.

After his gig as Vice-President was over with, “Sleepy Joe” Biden, believe it or not, made a profound statement in an exit interview with the Los Angeles Times.

He said his party failed to connect with working-class, largely white voters, and warned that “a bit of elitism” has “crept in” to party thinking.

He recalled watching a Trump rally in Pennsylvania near where he grew up.  “They’re all the people I grew up with,” he said. “They’re their kids. And they’re not racist. They’re not sexist. But we didn’t talk to them.”

There’s a reason for that.

The Liberal Elite have always believed that our country revolves around the big metropolitan areas in the Northeast and in California. They have always looked down their noses at what they derisively call “Flyover Country”, the same area that many of us call the Heartland of America or simply “home”.

I was that arrogance3 which cost them the 2016 Presidential Election.

It is that same arrogance which has caused their Trump Derangement Syndrome and has caused them to believe that they have the right to nullify the votes of the millions of Americans who elected Donald J. Trump as our 45th President.

It is also their arrogance which allows them to believe that a bunch of Far Left Candidates from the Northeast will garner a significant amount of votes in the South.

While President Trump is from the Northeast, also, there is a HUGE difference between him and the remaining field of Democratic Candidates.

Trump means what he says.

He has proven that by fulfilling his Campaign promises with the entire Democratic Party trying everything they could think of to stop him.

Trump genuinely loves average Americans.

I have been to a MAGA Rally and it was phenomenal. Unlike professional politicians, like the Democratic Primary Candidates, he spoke TO us, not at us, laughing and joking with us, actually speaking like we do.

As proven by their Captain Ahab-like obsession with deposing President Trump, the Democrats still don’t “get it”.

James Carville is right. They have lost their d**n minds.

However, there is no chance of them regaining them any time soon.

Their hatred of Trump and us “Deplorables” simply won’t let them.

And, that is fine with us.

MSM “Clutch Their Pearls” Over Trump’s “Victory Celebration”

President Trump’s White House speech on Thursday featured everything from calling the Russia investigation “bulls—t” to friendly ribbing of prominent GOP allies, all while agitating many members of the mainstream media who found a multitude of issues with the East Room event.

The Senate on Wednesday acquitted the president on both articles of impeachment following a weeks-long trial, and Trump described Thursday’s speech as a “celebration.” He was greeted by thunderous applause and a standing ovation by his supporters as many reporters immediately took to Twitter to criticize the process. Many negatively compared the scene to a campaign rally, while CNN’s Jim Acosta complained that it sounded like the president was “answering the questions he wishes reporters would ask.”

New York Magazine’s Jonathan Chait ruminated that Trump probably wanted to make similar remarks during Tuesday’s State of the Union but was reined in by staffers.

“Seems extremely likely Trump wanted to get his grievances off his chest in SOTU, and aides prevailed on him to save it for special post-acquittal speech, promised him ‘Hail to the Chief’ and a full room,” Chait wrote.

The president thanked his supporters and legal team, called the impeachment process “evil,” complimented the physique of Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, said House Minority Whip Steve Scalise became more “handsome” after being shot and even praised the “incredible” deep voice of Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, during the celebratory speech. But when he described the Russia investigation as “bulls—t,” liberal critics really turned up the heat.

Walter Shaub called Trump “a disgrace to the office,” NBC News’ Andrea Mitchell seemed to disapprove he used the term in the East Room, CNN’s Keith Boykin called for the “civility police” and dozens of other reporters chimed in to condemn the comment.

As Trump’s detractors complained about the foul language, supporters quoted him as if it was a badge of honor. New York Magazine’s Olivia Nuzzi, a frequent CNN guest, even urged people to stop “pearl clutching” over the remark.

“I’m sure there are plenty of other things to take issue with here,” she wrote. “The fact that this president curses shouldn’t be very high on the list. Grow up.”

Meanwhile, CNN’s Chris Cillizza called it “appalling,” while his colleague Joe Lockhart even suggested that the president is suffering from some sort of illness.

“People really should find the answer of why Trump had an unscheduled emergency trip to Walter Reed a few months ago,” Lockhart tweeted. ‘My guess is it had something to do with today’s performance.”

NewsBusters managing editor Curtis Houck put together a montage of CNN personalities bashing the speech.

“The story is not the particulars of what he said. The story is he sounded nuts. I don’t see why the media has such trouble explaining that,” Washington Post columnist Jennifer Rubin wrote.

CNN’s chyron labeled the speech polarizing speech “vindictive & vulgar,” which has been praised by Trump supporters but mocked by critics.

Ask me if I care.

Just like the “dancing monkeys” out in Hollyweird, the Main Stream Media are nothing nowadays but the Propaganda Arm of the Democratic Party.

The geniuses in the MSM seem to forget that President Donald J. Trump is not a professional politician.

He is a businessman.

He does not follow political protocol.

Yes, he knows how to conduct himself among Heads of State. He has conducted business all around the world.

He is a straight shooter. That is why average Americans between the coasts are going to reelect him in a political landslide.

They’re tired of taking a back seat to “political expediencies”.

Yesterday, President Trump was doing what every good CEO does after his team achieves a major success.

He thanks them.

Yes, he called the attempted coup by the Democrats “Bullsh*t” because that is exactly what it was.

What did the Democrat sycophants in the MSM expect him to say,

“Thank you for Impeaching me over unimpeachable charges.” ?

Let’s face it. The Main Stream Media are clutching their pearls and Pelosi and company are experiencing a group psychological break because of three basic facts:

Congressional Democrats Have “The Sads” After Trump’s Acquittal…Good!

The Senate overwhelmingly acquitted President Trump on both articles of impeachment against him Wednesday afternoon following a brief trial, in a historic rejection of Democrats’ claims that the president’s Ukraine dealings and handling of congressional subpoenas merited his immediate removal from office.

Several Congressional Democrats, speaking to Fox News, were dejected on Capitol Hill late Wednesday, even as they said they hoped to weaponize the acquittal votes by several moderate Republicans in swing states.

“We all knew how this was going,” one senior House Democratic source told Fox News. “But everyone’s depressed. Especially because of Iowa,” where the first-in-the-nation caucuses have been plagued by mismanagement.

Another Democratic source also said that impeachment “went as well as it could go.” There was significant consternation among House Democrats about heading down the impeachment road at all over the summer, Fox News is told, but Democratic leaders felt they had to get in front of the impeachment movement and embrace it – or they may have been steamrolled by the progressive wing of the party.

In the final vote, all Democratic senators supported convicting the president of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress, including swing-vote moderate Sens. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., Kyrsten Sinema, D-Ariz., and Doug Jones, D-Ala.

The only party defection was on the abuse of power charge from Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah, who declared hours before the final vote that Trump had engaged in as “destructive an attack on the oath of office and our Constitution as I can imagine.” Romney voted not guilty on the obstruction charge.

By a final vote of 52-48 against conviction on the abuse of power charge and 53-47 against conviction on the obstruction charge, the Senate fell far short of the two-thirds, 67-vote supermajority needed to convict and remove the president. Swing-vote Republican senators — including Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Susan Collins of Maine, and Lamar Alexander of Tennessee — voted to acquit on both counts.

The separate obstruction of Congress charge concerned the White House’s assertion of executive privilege and refusal to comply with congressional subpoenas. Romney explained he would acquit on the obstruction count, saying House Democrats had chosen not to respond to the White House’s legal arguments against the subpoenas.

After Chief Justice of the United States John Roberts formally declared Trump acquitted, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., presented him with the “Golden Gavel” award as a thank-you for his service. Former Chief Justice of the United States William Rehnquist received the same award, which is usually presented to freshmen senators after long hours presiding over the body, for his handling of President Bill Clinton’s 1999 impeachment trial.

“I look forward to seeing you all again under happier circumstances,” Roberts said as he concluded his remarks and prepared to depart the chamber.

Speaking to reporters after the vote, McConnell noted that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., had resisted calls for impeachment from the party’s progressive wing before finally caving — and said she should have trusted her “instincts.”

“I’m pretty sure she didn’t want to do this,” McConnell said, referring to Pelosi’s lengthy reluctance to initiate impeachment proceedings. Trump, speaking to Fox News ahead of the Super Bowl, made a similar argument, saying the “radical” wing of the Democratic Party had pushed her into making a grave mistake and realizing her “worst nightmare.”

McConnell also said he was “perplexed” by Democrats’ arguments that the evidence against Trump was overwhelming and obvious, but at the same time, more witnesses and evidence were desperately needed.

He called the proceedings a “thoroughly political exercise,” and added that ironically, Pelosi was right “in the beginning” when she didn’t want to go down this path.

“This was a political loser for them,” McConnell said. “At least in the short-term, this has been a colossal political mistake.”

A Gallup poll released this week showed record-high approval numbers for Trump and the Republican Party in general, suggesting the impeachment proceedings may have backfired politically for Democrats. The Republican Party’s approval numbers were at their highest since 2005, and Trump’s were the highest of his presidency.

I am glad that Congressional Democrats are upset after the just acquittal of President Donald J. Trump in the Senate Impeachment Trial yesterday.

After what they have put this country through for the last 3 years they deserve to be upset.

God knows, average Americans have been.

Did they not understand what the result of the 2016 Presidential Election was all about?

It wasn’t about the Russians.

It wasn’t about the Ukrainians.

It was about average Americans, living between the coasts, who had finally had enough of the Far Left Democratic Party trying to radically change the greatest country on God’s green Earth into another Venezuela.

Average Americans were tired of being called close-minded, xenophobic, homophobic misogynists for believing in traditional American Faith and Values.

They were also tired of listening to our country and our heritage being insulted by those who were supposed to be its biggest advocates.

Average Americans were tired of the tyranny of the minority.

However, the election of Donald J. Trump to the office of President of the United States of America was more than just a protest vote.

It was an affirmation of the charge to keep given to us by those who came before…those who suffered and sacrificed in order to ensure that their children and their children’s children would “have it better” than they had.

Americans were tired of the empty promises of professional politicians.

So, we elected a Citizen Statesman, a successful businessman and entrepreneur, who knew how to get things done.

However, even before Trump took office, the Democrats decided that they could not leave the decision as to who should be president up to average Americans.

Therefore, they began attacking Trump, both covertly and overtly, through the use of Deep State Operatives and a willing Main Stream Media.

That led to made up charges concerning Russian interference on behalf of the Trump Campaign, which lead to a Special Counsel being appointed and Phase 1 of a taxpayer-funded Witch Hunt.

When that failed, House Democrats took a phone call made between the presidents of two Sovereign Nations and attempted to remove the President of the United States of America over it…when there was nothing impeachable in it.

And now, that’s failed.

I have no idea what the arrogant anti-American cowards will attempt next.

However, I do know what must be done in ten months from now.

President Trump MUST be reelected and the Far Left Democrats in the House of Representatives MUST be voted out of office.

That is the only way to ensure that this effort to overturn the will of the American People will be stopped.

The tyranny of the minority must not be allowed to ruin the greatest country on the face of the Earth because of their love for a political philosophy which failed in every country in which it is tried.

Trump Delivers Awesome SOTU Address, Petulant Pelosi Tears Up Her Copy Afterwards

President Trump went on the offensive against socialism and left-wing policies during his third State of the Union address to Congress Tuesday night, arguing that Democrats “want to take away your health care, take away your doctor, and abolish private insurance entirely,” while creating a “lure” for illegal immigration.

All but ignoring the historic impeachment drama that flanks this year’s address, Trump opted instead to publicly challenge Democrats on policy grounds while touting what he called the “blue-collar boom” in the country. The tensions over impeachment appeared to surface, however, as the president seemingly snubbed a handshake offer from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., while Republican lawmakers chanted, “Four more years!”

Then, at the speech’s conclusion, Pelosi dramatically ripped up her copy of Trump’s speech on-camera.

The night was full of other dramatic, made-for-TV moments: Trump introduced a warfighter back from deployment to his shocked wife (which was not included in prepared remarks of the speech delivered in advance to reporters); awarded radio host Rush Limbaugh the Presidential Medal of Freedom on the spot; issued an academic scholarship to a needy family; and introduced a surviving member of the Tuskegee Airmen.

“As we work to improve Americans’ healthcare, there are those who want to take away your health care, take away your doctor, and abolish private insurance entirely,” Trump said. “One hundred thirty-two lawmakers in this room have endorsed legislation to impose a socialist takeover of our healthcare system, wiping out the private health insurance plans of 180 million Americans. To those watching at home tonight, I want you to know: We will never let socialism destroy American health care.”

He added: “Over 130 legislators in this chamber have endorsed legislation that would bankrupt our Nation by providing free taxpayer-funded healthcare to millions of illegal aliens, forcing taxpayers to subsidize free care for anyone in the world who unlawfully crosses our borders. These proposals would raid the Medicare benefits our seniors depend on, while acting as a powerful lure for illegal immigration.

Pelosi appeared to mouth “not true” as Trump said Democrats would pay illegal immigrants’ health care — although virtually all Democratic presidential contenders indicated they would support such a measure during a recent debate.

“This is what is happening in California and other States — their systems are totally out of control, costing taxpayers vast and unaffordable amounts of money,” Trump continued. “If forcing American taxpayers to provide unlimited free healthcare to illegal aliens sounds fair to you, then stand with the radical left. But if you believe that we should defend American patients and American seniors, then stand with me and pass legislation to prohibit free Government healthcare for illegal aliens!”

The address comes one day before the Senate is slated to deliver its verdict in the impeachment trial that has divided the nation. Trump is widely expected to win acquittal. But he did not mention those proceedings directly in his speech.

Drawing some audible murmurs of disapproval from Democrats in the chamber, Trump repeatedly took aim at the Obama administration’s economic and foreign policies.

“If we had not reversed the failed economic policies of the previous administration, the world would not now be witness to America’s great economic success,” Trump said. “Under the last administration, more than 10 million people were added to the food stamp rolls. Under my administration, 7 million Americans have come off of food stamps, and 10 million people have been lifted off of welfare.”

As he did during the 2019 State of the Union, Trump again directly condemned socialism — and introduced a high-profile guest from embattled Venezuela.

“Joining us in the gallery is the true and legitimate President of Venezuela, Juan Guaidó,” Trump said. “Mr. President, please take this message back to your homeland. All Americans are united with the Venezuelan people in their righteous struggle for freedom! Socialism destroys nations. But always remember, freedom unifies the soul.”

Drawing more audible complaints from Democrats, Trump further hammered “sanctuary city” policies that shield illegal immigrants from federal immigration authorities.

“Tragically, there are many cities in America where radical politicians have chosen to provide sanctuary for these criminal illegal aliens,” Trump said. “In Sanctuary Cities, local officials order police to release dangerous criminal aliens to prey upon the public, instead of handing them over to ICE to be safely removed. Just 29 days ago, a criminal alien freed by the Sanctuary City of New York was charged with the brutal rape and murder of a 92-year-old woman. The killer had been previously arrested for assault, but under New York’s sanctuary policies, he was set free. If the city had honored ICE’s detainer request, his victim would be alive today. The State of California passed an outrageous law declaring their whole State to be a sanctuary for criminal illegal immigrants — with catastrophic results.”

“The state of our union is stronger than ever before,’ Trump declared early on to applause, as most Democrats — including those who have recently sought to have the president removed from office — remained seated, stone-faced and apparently dejected.

Indeed they were.

What Americans witnessed last night was the behavior of a bunch of political elitists who have placed self-aggrandizement and the love of a failed political philosophy (Marxism) above love of country and their duty as elected representatives in a Constitutional Republic.

The behavior of the Democrats was exemplified by the Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi and her attitude toward President Trump.

She actually expected him to shake her cold clammy hand after she has spent the first three years of his administration trying to unseat him from office.

I would not have shook her hand, either.

The president went on to deliver a wonderful State of the Union Address which included several highlights, not the least of which was a surprised Rush Limbaugh being awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest award that any civilian can receive.

In my humble opinion, it was well-deserved.

Over the last three years the Democrats’ have more than justified the opinion of them which is held by the average Americans between the coasts whom Hillary referred to as “Deplorables”.

Their behavior has reached a crescendo with their antics in the Senate Impeachment Trial, the Iowa Caucus, and now, the SOTU Address.

Average Americans will not forget their lies, nor will they forget the image of Nancy Pelosi, waiting until she was certain that the camera was on her and then tearing up her copy of the address.

Speaker Pelosi meant it as an act of defiance.

Americans will see it for what it was: a petulant act by a professional politician whose plans to overturn the will of the American people failed spectacularly, leaving her and her fellow Far Left Democrat Politicians in a hole from which they may never crawl out of.

Trump Calls Sanders a “Communist” While DNC Opens Possibility of Bloomberg in Next Debate

In an exclusive interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity during the Super Bowl LIV pregame show, President Trump confirmed that the State of the Union address would go ahead as scheduled on Tuesday — just a day before the Senate is set to overwhelmingly acquit him after a months-long impeachment process.

“I think she’s a very confused, very nervous woman,” Trump said, referring to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif, who reluctantly announced impeachment proceedings last year after months of resisting the progressive wing of her party.

“I don’t think she wanted to do this,” Trump continued. “I think she really knew what was going to happen, and her worst nightmare has happened. I don’t think she’s gonna be there too long, either. I think that the radical left — and she’s sorta radical left too, by the way — but I think the radical left is gonna take over.”

The president cited the personal cost of the multiple investigations that have taken place during his administration, saying the media is deliberately ignoring historic economic numbers and “the good stuff” to focus on invented scandals.

“Well, it’s been very unfair. From the day I won … from the day I came down from the escalator. … it probably started from there. It’s been a very, very unfair process,” Trump said. “The Mueller Report, Russia, Russia, Russia, as you say, which was total nonsense — it was all nonsense, the whole thing. It was very unfair, and mostly it was unfair to my family. I mean, my family suffered because of all this. And many other families suffered also.”

But, Trump said, his supporters would remain undeterred.

“There’s a revolution going on in this country, and I mean a positive revolution,” Trump said, noting that unemployment rates have plummeted among minority groups.

The president also asserted that the Democratic National Committee (DNC) was “rigging the election again” against “crazy” Bernie Sanders and candidates such as Sen. Cory Booker, D-N.J., after the DNC announced it would change debate rules in a way that would help Mike Bloomberg appear on stage.

As Trump spoke, an NBC News report indicated that former Secretary of State John Kerry was overheard in Iowa discussing getting in the presidential race, as a last-ditch effort to blunt Sanders’ surge in the polls and prevent him from “taking down” the Democratic Party. (Kerry, firing off a since-deleted, highly uncharacteristic profanity on Twitter, then insisted he was not running for president, but didn’t deny the NBC News report.)

Asked what he felt about Bloomberg, Trump didn’t hold back.

“Uh, very little. I just think of little,” Trump said. “You know, now he wants a box for the debates to stand on. OK, it’s OK, there’s nothing wrong. You can be short. Why should he get a box to stand on, OK? He wants a box for the debates. Why should he be entitled to that? Really. Does that mean everyone else gets a box? … I would love to run against Bloomberg.”

Trump added that the U.S. has offered assistance to China amid the deadly coronavirus outbreak, and hinted that more aggressive action may be taken as the problem worsens.

“Well, we’ve pretty much shut it down, coming in from China. We have a tremendous relationship with China. … We’re offering ’em tremendous help,” Trump said. “But we can’t have thousands of people coming in who may have this problem, the coronavirus. So, we’re gonna see what happens.”

Separately, Hannity asked Trump to quickly describe what he thought of other prominent Democrats.

On Joe Biden: “I just think of ‘Sleepy.’ I just watch him. He’s sleepy. Sleepy Joe.”

On Hunter Biden: “Where’s Hunter? Where is he? He made millions of dollars — he went from having no job, no income, he had nothing. As you know, he had a very sad experience in the military. He has nothing, to making millions and millions of dollars a year. Not just from Ukraine. From China. And from other countries. How can you do this? This is crooked as hell. What they did is very dishonest.”

On Bernie Sanders: “Well, I think he’s a communist. I mean, you know, look, I think of communism when I think of Bernie. You could say ‘socialist.’ Didn’t he get married in Moscow?” (Hannity then interjected that Sanders had, in fact, honeymooned in the Soviet Union.)

“At least he’s true to what he believes,” Trump concluded, by way of contrast with Elizabeth Warren.

On Warren, Trump said: “She’s not true to it. I call her ‘fairy tale.’ Because everything’s a fairy tale. That’s how Pochahontas got started. This woman can’t tell the truth.”

On Hillary Clinton: “I think of emails. I think of the email scandal. How she got away with that is a disgrace.”

President Trump is spot on about ol’ Bernie.

Bernard “Bernie” Sanders was born in Brooklyn, New York on September 8, 1941, to Polish immigrants of Jewish descent. After attending Brooklyn College for one year, he transferred to the University of Chicago (UC) and earned a bachelor’s degree in political science in 1964. At UC, Sanders joined the Young Peoples Socialist League (youth wing of the Socialist Party USA) as well as the Congress of Racial Equality and the Student Peace Union.

After college, Sanders lived briefly on an Israeli kibbutz, then moved to Vermont where he worked variously as a carpenter, filmmaker, writer, and researcher. According to an Accuracy In Media report, Sanders during the 1980s “collaborated with Soviet and East German ‘peace committees'” whose aim was “to stop President Reagan’s deployment of nuclear missiles in Europe.” Indeed, he “openly joined the Soviets’ ‘nuclear freeze’ campaign to undercut Reagan’s military build-up.”

In 1985 Sanders traveled to Managua, Nicaragua to celebrate the sixth anniversary of the rise to power of Daniel Ortega and his Marxist-Leninist Sandinista government.

In 1986 Sanders ran unsuccessfully for Governor of Vermont, and two years later he made a failed bid for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.

In November 1989 Sanders addressed the national conference of the U.S. Peace Council, a Communist Party USA front. The event focused on how to “end the Cold War” and “fund human needs.” Fellow speakers included such notables as Leslie Cagan, John Conyers, and Manning Marable.

Choosing not to seek re-election to a fifth term as mayor, Sanders spent 1989-90 working as a lecturer at Hamilton College in upstate New York and the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.

By 1990 Sanders was a leading member of Jesse Jackson’s National Rainbow Coalition, and he ran successfully for Congress as a socialist, representing Vermont’s single at-large congressional district. In 2007 Sanders and Senator Barbara Boxer proposed the Global Warming Pollution Reduction Act, which, according to an MIT study, would have imposed on U.S. taxpayers a yearly financial burden of more than $4,500 per family, purportedly to check climate change. In February 2010 Sanders likened climate-change skeptics to people who had disregarded the Nazi threat prior to WWII: “During that period of Nazism and fascism’s growth … there were people in this country and in the British parliament who said, ‘Don’t worry! Hitler’s not real! It’ll disappear!’” Accusing “big business” of being “willing to destroy the planet for short-term profits,” Sanders in 2013 said that “global warming is a far more serious problem than al Qaeda.” Stating unequivocally that “the scientific community is unanimous” in its belief that “the planet is warming up,” Sanders the following year declared that the “debate is over” and emphasized the importance of “transform[ing] our energy systems away from fossil fuels.”

In September 2011, Sanders was the first U.S. Senator to support the anti-capitalist Occupy Wall Street movement, lauding its activists for focusing a “spotlight” on the need for “real Wall Street reform.”

In March 2013, Sanders and fellow Senator Tom Harkin together introduced a bill to tax Wall Street speculators. “Both the economic crisis and the deficit crisis are a direct result of the greed, recklessness, and illegal behavior on Wall Street,” said Sanders.

Thee interesting thing is that it appears that the DNC is about to screw over Bernie again, as they did in the 2016 Campaign with their efforts on behalf of Hillary Clinton.

The Democratic National Committee on Friday unveiled new criteria for candidates to qualify for the Feb. 19 presidential nomination debate — including a big change likely to pave the way for former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg to make the stage for the first time.

All of the debates in the first eight rounds — including the upcoming Feb. 7 debate in New Hampshire — have included both polling and individual donor thresholds for the candidates to reach to qualify for the primetime showdowns.

But starting with the Nevada debate, which will be held in Las Vegas three days before the state’s caucuses, the DNC is dropping the individual contributor requirements. That could allow Bloomberg to finally qualify. The multi-billionaire business and media mogul, who declared his candidacy just two months ago, has avoided fundraising and seeking out individual donors as he self-funds his White House bid.

Considering the fact that Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has been dealt a gigantic defeat by allowing the Far Left House members to dictate the party’s political strategy by rushing ahead with the baseless Impeachment of a popular successful President, who is about to be acquitted, the party may be looking to move back toward the “Left Center” by pushing Former New York Mayor “Mini Mike” Bloomberg for its President Candidate Nomination.

The problem is that Bloomberg is simply another Marxist in Capitalist clothing.

Mini Mike is in favor of a Nanny State Government, also.

With its spot-on observations on equality and individualism, Tocqueville’s work remains a valuable explanation of America to Europeans and of Americans to ourselves.

He once observed that

Democracy and socialism have nothing in common but one word, equality. But notice the difference: while democracy seeks equality in liberty, socialism seeks equality in restraint and servitude.

In other words, the failed political ideology of socialism takes away the exhilaration and fulfillment of individual achievement and replaces it with self-sacrifice in servitude to the State, for the good of the Central  Nanny-State Government, which, in turn, promises to “share the wealth”, but, as was the case in the old Soviet Union, and more recently, Venezuela, never does.

The great Sir Winston Churchill once said that

The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of blessings; the inherent virtue of socialism is the equal sharing of miseries.

I would rather be blessed than miserable.

Pelosi and Dem Elite Blast Trump for Expanding Travel Ban to 6 More Countries…Why Don’t They Want to Keep America Safe?

“Whenever the president finds that the entry of any aliens or any class of aliens into the U.S. would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants, non-immigrants or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions that he may deem to be appropriate,”- 8 U.S. Code § 1182

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was one of a number of top Democrats to rip into President Trump’s decision to expand the travel ban to include six more countries on Friday — with Pelosi describing it as “discrimination disguised as policy.”

“The Trump administration’s expansion of its outrageous, un-American travel ban threatens our security, our values and the rule of law,” she said in a statement. “The sweeping rule, barring more than 350 million individuals from predominantly African nations from traveling to the United States, is discrimination disguised as policy.”   

The Trump administration is expanding restrictions to include Burma, Eritrea, Kyrgyzstan, Nigeria, Tanzania and Sudan. Those are added to the current seven countries already included in the ban: Iran, Libya, North Korea, Somalia, Syria, Venezuela and Yemen.

The initial ban was branded by critics as a “Muslim ban,” noting that President Trump had promised such a ban during his campaign and that the initial countries (which did not include North Korea and Venezuela, but did include Chad) were Muslim-majority countries.

But after multiple court challenges, the Supreme Court upheld its constitutionality in 2018.

For Burma, Eritrea, Kyrgyzstan and Nigeria, the restrictions will apply to immigrant visas — for those seeking to live or work in the U.S. permanently. For Sudan and Tanzania, the restrictions are being placed on diversity visas — that come from the controversial diversity lottery program that grants visas to prospective immigrants randomly each year.

The initial seven countries have restrictions on both immigrant and non-immigrant visas, but Acting Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Chad Wolf told reporters that the six countries announced Friday are very different from the current seven, which is why the restrictions are lighter.

“These countries, for the most part, want to be helpful, want to do the right thing, have relationships with the U.S. and are in some cases improving relations, but for a variety of different reasons failed to meet those minimum requirements that we laid out,” he said.

Criteria considered when judging countries included to what extent the countries share information on passports and prospective bad actors, as well as whether or not the country poses an elevated national security risk in relation to crime, terrorism and illegal immigration.

But the more nuanced approach did not appear to soften Democratic complaints about the move.

“With this latest callous decision, the President has doubled down on his cruelty and further undermined our global leadership, our Constitution and our proud heritage as a nation of immigrants,” Pelosi said.

Pelosi pledged that Democrats will oppose the ban in the courts and in Congress. She said that the House Judiciary Committee will mark up and send the “NO BAN Act” to the House floor. That legislation prohibits religious discrimination in immigration-related decisions. It also imposes restrictions on the president’s authority to restrict immigration — forcing the administration to provide evidence of such a need to Congress for that restriction.

Ever since Pelosi regained the gavel of Speaker of the House after the 2018 Midterm Elections, she has viewed herself as a “co-president”, much like Hillary Clinton was billed as during Bubba’s presidency.

Thing is,,,she isn’t.

The President is the Commander-in-Chief, the Chief Executive whose job it is to protect the safety of our Sovereign Nation and the lives of American Citizens.

Nancy Pelosi, as Speaker of the House of Representatives is the chosen, privately elected, leader of one part of the Legislative Branch of our government.

And while it is her job to help create legislation  which passes through the House to the Senate to be voted on, she does not have the last word on what becomes the “Law of the Land”.

The President stills holds Veto Power over any legislation which arrives on his desk from Congress.

Now, let’s talk about the “religion” part of her argument for a moment.

On February 5th, 2015 after then-President Barack Hussein Obama’s incendiary and decidedly anti-Christian remarks at the National Prayer Breakfast, Reverend Franklin Graham spoke truth to power:

As Rev. Graham said so eloquently, Islam and Christianity present two very different Deities, who may share some similarities, but who have different identities and ultimately different standards. To pretend they are the same is not only to be clueless of the faith of 76% of the citizens of this nation, but, to be ignorant of an integral part of our American Heritage, the legacy of Christian Faith, which our Founding Fathers bequeathed us.

During the Republican Presidential Primary, Republican Presidential Candidate Hopeful, Dr. Ben Carson, got a lot of attention from hang-wringing Liberals in the Main Stream Media, the Democratic Party, and among the Vichy Republicans, also, when he said that a Muslim should never be President of the United States of America., because Sharia Law is incompatible with The United States Constitution.

He was absolutely right.

I am not saying that every Muslim is on a jihad against “the infidels”, and, wish to invade our Sovereign Nation and over-throw our Government.

However, there is a difference between being an average Christian American and a Muslim, living in America.

In Islam, the way to “walk with God and escape his judgment on that final day of judgment” is through ‘falah’, which means self-effort or positive achievement. The faithful must submit to God and follow all of his laws as found in the Koran. Judgment day in Islam involves some sort of measurement of what the believer has done wrong and what they have done right. And, even then, you might not be let into heaven if Allah decides you’re not good enough.

This is the direct opposite of Christianity.

According to the Bible, no man can ever be good enough to deserve God’s favor, to win God’s heaven, because from birth we have Free Will. This Free Will may cause us to reject God and live our lives our own way. That’s why it was necessary for Jesus Christ to die for our sins, covering us in His blood of the New Covenant.

God’s Word tells us that what we need is not ‘falah,’ but faith. To have faith in, to trust, to rely on Jesus and his death as as “the expiation for our sins”. Those who have been Saved by Jesus Christ can be sure that in the future God will welcome them into heaven with wide open arms, because they have been washed by His blood.

When Christians become “radicalized”, we want to share the testimony of what God has done for us through His love, with everyone we meet. We get involved in our local church and we become better fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers, and American Citizens.

When Muslims become “radicalized”, they want to “kill the Infidels” in the name of “Allah the Merciful”.

In the case of the Chechen Muslim brothers who bombed the Boston Marathon, their immersion into Radical Islam led them to “kill the infidels” that horrendous day.

In the case of the Radical Islamist Couple in San Bernadino, it let them to murder their neighbors and co-workers.

In the case of the barbarians of ISIS, it has turned them into doppelgangers of the Nazi Butchers of Dachau.

While we are told as Christians to “entertain strangers”, we are also told to

be wise as serpents and innocent as doves – Matthew 10:16

You can’t “be wise” if you lose your head.

And, that is what President Trump is trying to prevent.

FoxNews.com reports that

Republicans in the Senate secured enough votes Friday evening to reject Democratic efforts to extend the impeachment trial of President Trump and call new witnesses, paving the way for his widely expected acquittal next week on charges of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress over his dealings with Ukraine.

Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., said late Friday he expects to “conclude the trial in the coming days” as the Senate approved the framework to continue the trial on Monday, with a final up-or-down vote on Wednesday.

After hours of debate during the day on Friday, the Senate voted 51-49 to block a Democratic motion to call new witnesses. The vote came after vehement demands from Democrats to call former national security adviser John Bolton to testify about the Trump-Ukraine saga. Two Republicans — Utah Sen. Mitt Romney and Maine Sen. Susan Collins — voted with Democrats.

“A majority of the U.S. Senate has determined that the numerous witnesses and 28,000-plus pages of documents already in evidence are sufficient to judge the House Managers’ accusations and end this impeachment trial,” McConnell said after the vote.

Democrats decried the failure of the motion.

“America will remember this day, unfortunately, where the Senate did not live up to its responsibilities, where the Senate turned away from truth and went along with a sham trial,” said Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y.

Later on Friday evening, Senate Republicans voted down four amendments offered by Democrats to call Bolton and White House acting chief of staff Mick Mulvaney, among others. Chief Justice Roberts told Schumer before that vote series that he would not break ties in the Senate, after Democrats in recent days raised the possibility Roberts could possibly tip the scales for them during votes on amendments.

“I think it would be inappropriate for me, an unelected official from a different branch of government, to assert the power to change that result so that the motion would succeed,” Roberts told Schumer.

The vote on witnesses came as Trump was flying to Florida. A senior administration official aboard Air Force One said that the reaction to the Senate vote was “calm, but pleased.”

“Nothing like applause or cheering, but just a recognition that things are clearly going in the right direction,” the official said.

There will be no trial action over the weekend. The trial will resume Monday with closing arguments by the impeachment managers and defense counsel. Senators will have the opportunity to make speeches on Monday and Tuesday.

The final vote will come the same week as Iowa’s caucuses on Monday and the State of the Union address on Tuesday. A senior congressional source told Fox News that there has been no discussion about postponing the speech, as advance teams have been crawling all over the Capitol in preparation for Tuesday’s address.

Earlier Friday, it became apparent that Republicans had the votes to shut down any new witnesses from testifying in the trial, with Sens. Lamar Alexander, R-Tenn., and Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, announcing they wouldn’t defect.

After the vote on witnesses, Trump drew attention to the number of witnesses during the House’s impeachment proceedings: “Democrats = 17 Witnesses. Republicans = 0 Witnesses.”

It came out late on Friday night that Senate Leader Mitch McConnell had talked to President Trump, who had given his okay to the timing of the final vote.

And, I can understand why he did: it’s perfect.

During the Closing Arguments on Monday, I have no doubt that Jay Sekulow and the Trump Defense Team will perform as flawlessly as they already have.

They have embarrassed the House Managers time and time again, making them look like a bunch of political hacks obsessed with removing a duly-elected President from office.

Which, of course, is exactly what they are.

After that drubbing on Monday, President Trump will address a Joint Session of Congress and deliver what promises to be a barnburner of a State of the Union Address.

One of my fellow writers at SpartaReport.com suggested that advertisers forget about the Super Bowl and buy time in the State of the Union instead.

It is going to be that good.

Who, in their right mind, can seriously argue against the accomplishments of President Donald J. Trump?

As one of his Presidential Reelection Campaign slogans says,

Promises Made. Promises Kept.

And, within that resides the very reason for the ongoing coup attempt by the Democrats to remove him from office.

Whoever they choose as their Presidential Candidate does not stand a chance of defeating President Trump this November…and they know it.

But, I digress…

After what is going to be the most matched State of the Union Address in history, the Impeachment Vote will happen at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon.

And, President Donald J. Trump will be acquitted.

In fact, I would not be surprised at all if some of the Democrats cross over to vote for his acquittal.

Especially, if they live in a Red State and they want to be reelected to the Senate.

“Sleepy Joe” just torpedoed the Democrats’ Sham Impeachment!

Politico.com reports that

In January 1999, then-Sen. Joe Biden argued strongly against the need to depose additional witnesses or seek new evidence in a memo sent to fellow Democrats ahead of President Bill Clinton’s impeachment trial.

Biden circulated the four-page document, titled “Arguments in Support of a Summary Impeachment Trial,” on Jan. 5, 1999. In his memo, obtained by POLITICO, Biden cited historical precedents from impeachment cases going back to the establishment of the Senate and asserted “The Senate need not hold a ‘full-blown’ trial.

“The Senate may dismiss articles of impeachment without holding a full trial or taking new evidence. Put another way, the Constitution does not impose on the Senate the duty to hold a trial,” Biden wrote at the time.
 
The Delaware Democrat added later: “In a number of previous impeachment trials, the Senate has reached the judgment that its constitutional role as a sole trier of impeachments does not require it to take new evidence or hear live witness testimony.”

Along with his son Hunter, Biden has become a primary target for Republicans in President Donald Trump’s impeachment trial. Biden is also a frontrunner in the 2020 Democratic presidential primary.

Biden’s comments from 1999 are at odds with current Democratic talking points that additional witnesses must be called to get to the bottom of Trump’s actions in the Ukraine saga. Republicans, of course, now oppose witnesses in Trump’s trial and argued strongly for them in Clinton’s.

In 1999, Biden also said senators should take into account the impact drawing out the impeachment proceedings would have on the country.

“In light of the extensive record already compiled, it may be that the benefit of receiving additional evidence or live testimony is not great enough to outweigh the public costs (in terms of national prestige, faith in public institutions, etc.) of such a proceeding,” Biden said. “While a judge may not take such considerations into account, the Senate is uniquely competent to make such a balance.”

Biden and other Clinton allies — including now-Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) — lost the witness fight during that 1999 trial. The Senate agreed to depose former White House intern Monica Lewinsky, whose affair with Clinton led to just the second presidential impeachment in history, as well as two other witnesses.

Despite those interviews, Clinton was acquitted by the Senate in February 1999. Clinton’s administration cooperated more with the special counsel, leading to a more voluminous record of evidence in his trial. The Trump White House has refused to make officials available for interviews or key documents to House investigators.

The Biden campaign declined to comment.

As I write today’s post, I have been thinking about what the unbridled arrogance-fueled anger of the Democrat Elite has put this country through over the last three years.

From the very night that average Americans between the coasts elected Citizen Statesman Donald J. Trump to be our 45th President of the United States of America, they have been determined to overturn our vote and to somehow remove a Constitutionally-elected president from office.

This morning, God willing, their latest attempt at a coup, and make no mistake, boys and girls, that is exactly what it is. will end with the acquittal of President Trump.

The thing about it is, their hypocrisy knows no bounds.

The Democrats who have divided the nation for the last three years will continue their Quixotic Quest to remove Donald J. Trump on up to the day before the 2020 Presidential Election.

I wonder what she thought about that?

I’ll bet her dentures dropped into her gin and tonic.

My point is that the last three years have made it imperative to our future as Constitutional Republic to not only reelect President Trump but also to vote the Democrats out of power in the House of Repr3esentives.

That will be the only way that we will be able to move forward as a Sovereign Nation.

Otherwise, Pelosi, Schiff, Nadler, The Squad, et al, will continue to not only try to remove a  duly-elected president but to govern AGAINST the will of the people whom they have been elected to serve.

And, that would eventually lead to American becoming another “Socialist Paradise”…like Venezuela.
