National Biometric Database Hidden in Immigration Bill

biometric databaseHave you ever wondered just exactly how much the U.S. Government knows about you? As I have written before, part of Obamacare involves the sharing of your medical information online, with doctors’ offices and other medical professionals. Right now, the implementation of that process is not going too well. Mainly, because the Obama Administration did not put any clear-cut procedures in place to facilitate the transferal of medical records into a digital format, and just how those records will be shared.

Comforting, huh?

Well, grab hold of your socks and pull, because, it’s not just your medical records that will be shared with the world on the Digital Highway.

On December 21, 2007, the following story was published in The Washington Post.

The FBI is embarking on a $1 billion effort to build the world’s largest computer database of peoples’ physical characteristics, a project that would give the government unprecedented abilities to identify individuals in the United States and abroad.

Digital images of faces, fingerprints and palm patterns are already flowing into FBI systems in a climate-controlled, secure basement here. Next month, the FBI intends to award a 10-year contract that would significantly expand the amount and kinds of biometric information it receives. And in the coming years, law enforcement authorities around the world will be able to rely on iris patterns, face-shape data, scars and perhaps even the unique ways people walk and talk, to solve crimes and identify criminals and terrorists. The FBI will also retain, upon request by employers, the fingerprints of employees who have undergone criminal background checks so the employers can be notified if employees have brushes with the law.

“Bigger. Faster. Better. That’s the bottom line,” said Thomas E. Bush III, assistant director of the FBI’s Criminal Justice Information Services Division, which operates the database from its headquarters in the Appalachian foothills.

The increasing use of biometrics for identification is raising questions about the ability of Americans to avoid unwanted scrutiny. It is drawing criticism from those who worry that people’s bodies will become de facto national identification cards. Critics say that such government initiatives should not proceed without proof that the technology really can pick a criminal out of a crowd.

The use of biometric data is increasing throughout the government. For the past two years, the Defense Department has been storing in a database images of fingerprints, irises and faces of more than 1.5 million Iraqi and Afghan detainees, Iraqi citizens and foreigners who need access to U.S. military bases. The Pentagon also collects DNA samples from some Iraqi detainees, which are stored separately.

The Department of Homeland Security has been using iris scans at some airports to verify the identity of travelers who have passed background checks and who want to move through lines quickly. The department is also looking to apply iris- and face-recognition techniques to other programs. The DHS already has a database of millions of sets of fingerprints, which includes records collected from U.S. and foreign travelers stopped at borders for criminal violations, from U.S. citizens adopting children overseas, and from visa applicants abroad. There could be multiple records of one person’s prints.

“It’s going to be an essential component of tracking,” said Barry Steinhardt, director of the Technology and Liberty Project of the American Civil Liberties Union. “It’s enabling the Always On Surveillance Society.”

Today, in 2013, The Senatorial “Gang of Eight” who have been putting together the Immigration Bill, have decided that all of us need to be tracked.

Per wired.com:

The immigration reform measure the Senate began debating yesterday would create a national biometric database of virtually every adult in the U.S., in what privacy groups fear could be the first step to a ubiquitous national identification system.

Buried in the more than 800 pages of the bipartisan legislation (.pdf) is language mandating the creation of the innocuously-named “photo tool,” a massive federal database administered by the Department of Homeland Security and containing names, ages, Social Security numbers and photographs of everyone in the country with a driver’s license or other state-issued photo ID.

Employers would be obliged to look up every new hire in the database to verify that they match their photo.

This piece of the Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act is aimed at curbing employment of undocumented immigrants. But privacy advocates fear the inevitable mission creep, ending with the proof of self being required at polling places, to rent a house, buy a gun, open a bank account, acquire credit, board a plane or even attend a sporting event or log on the internet. Think of it as a government version of Foursquare, with Big Brother cataloging every check-in.

“It starts to change the relationship between the citizen and state, you do have to get permission to do things,” said Chris Calabrese, a congressional lobbyist with the American Civil Liberties Union. “More fundamentally, it could be the start of keeping a record of all things.”

For now, the legislation allows the database to be used solely for employment purposes. But historically such limitations don’t last. The Social Security card, for example, was created to track your government retirement benefits. Now you need it to purchase health insurance.

“The Social Security number itself, it’s pretty ubiquitous in your life,” Calabrese said.

David Bier, an analyst with the Competitive Enterprise Institute, agrees with the ACLU’s fears.

“The most worrying aspect is that this creates a principle of permission basically to do certain activities and it can be used to restrict activities,” he said. “It’s like a national ID system without the card.”

Can you say, “Politboro”? I knew that you could.

Basically, Americans would not be able to live their lives without being tracked through the Biometric Database . Every move you make will be digitally monitored by our government.

Hey! All you Liberals out there! You thought the Patriot Art was intrusive? You ain’t seen nothing, yet.

With Conservative Bloggers already banned on Government Computers, and the Administration attacking those members of the Military who wish to share their Christian Faith, the National Biometric Database makes the whole effort by the Obama Administration seem positively Orwellian…or, perhaps a scenario straight out of the Book of Revelation.

Say it! SAY IT!!! They’re Muslim Terrorists!!!

muslimsignLast night, as I watched President Barack Hussein Obama (peace be upon him) congratulate Law Enforcement Officials on the capture of the second New Boston Massacre Suspect, I listened to the president dance a Politically Correct Liberal two-step, as he refused to identify the religious/political ideology of the two Chechan brothers, just as his minions in the Main Stream Media have refused to identify this fact, since the story broke.

My mind, unique space between my ears that it is, flashed back to this famous scene between the late great Rodney Dangerfield, and the late , great Sam Kinison, in the movie Back to School. Kinison is a history professor, and Dangerfield is the successful businessman father of an under-achieving freshman, who decides to go back to school, to be there for his son.

rodneysamKinison: You remember that thing we had about thirty years ago… called the Korean conflict?

Yeah. Where we failed to achieve victory.

How come we didn’t cross the 38th parallel…and push those rice-eaters back to the Great Wall of China…and take it apart brick by brick…and nuke them back into the f!@#in’ stone age forever?

How come? Tell me? Why? Say it! Say it!

Dangerfield: All right, I’ll say it.

‘Cause Truman was too much of a p!@sy wimp…to let MacArthur go in and blow out those commie b!@#ards!

Kinison: Good answer. Good answer. I like the way you think.  I’m gonna be watching you.

For anybody with more than 2 working brain cells, (and, I know that leaves out a lot of Liberals) once the brothers were identified as Chechan, it was game over.

Chechnya is one of the more politically unstable regions in Russia’s North Caucasus, dating back to when, in 1991, it attempted to declare its independence as the Soviet Union dissolved.

Militant Islamists were blamed for an bunch of high-profile bombings and hostage-takings in Russia, the worst ones being the 2002 killings of 129 people inside a Moscow theater and the 2004 bloody massacre that left more than 300 dead in a Beslan school.

In October 2010, in an attack on Chechnya’s regional parliament, three suicide bombers killed six and wounded 17.

Chechen rebels have also proudly admitted to the November 2009 bombing of a high-speed train that killed 28, an August 2009 suicide truck bomb attack that killed 25 at a police station, and an August 2004 Moscow subway station bombing that killed 10.

The vast majority of all the violence associated with the region has remained in North Caucasus, with the New Boston Massacre being the first report of alleged Chechen terrorism spreading to the West.

Islamic militants from Chechnya have spread into neighboring areas in recent years, and were suspects in near-daily attacks against police and the government in the nearby Russian province of Dagestan.

Officials in Russia have insisted for years that the Chechen insurgents were linked with Al Qaeda, the terrorist group behind the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon.

So, why have Liberals, in the MSM, and elsewhere, been so afraid to call Muslim Terrorists, Muslim Terrorists?

Is it because of that heinous practice, known as Political Correctness?

We’ve all been a victim of it. And, it’s not just the Liberals who practice it.

A short time back, a young Libertarian lady, who just happens to be Black, had posted an article in a Facebook Page for Conservatives and Libertarians, featuring Patti Davis, the Liberal (and crazy) daughter of Former President Ronald Reagan. Davis had come out as the moral arbiter of some issue, and I pointed out that she was not fit to be the “moral arbiter” in any situation, as, to torque off her Dad, and make a political statement, she had posed topless for the cover of Playboy in 1994 with a Black guy, standing behind her, cupping her…umm…chest.

Both the young lady and her husband, who happens to be White, jumped on me, like I was some sort of RAAACIIIST, because I stated the obvious.

archiesammyTimes were different, back in ’94. Just as they were different back in the 70s, when Bud Yorkin and Norman Lear created All in the Family, starring the great American actor, Carroll O’Connor. The misadventures of Archie Bunker and his family could not be a hit today. Our tolerant American Liberals (and others) would not allow it. And, the lessons learned from that ground-breaking television series would be lost.

Perhaps, the reticence by the Media to identify the religious/political ideology of the two brothers is something else: loyalty to President Barack Hussein Obama.

They have a lot invested in The Lightbringer. They have campaigned endlessly for him, and the majority of “Broadcast Journalists” share his vision for a Socialist Utopia America. Additionally, the White House has been known to send e-mails and make telephone calls to these bastions of journalistic integrity, when they want something swept under the Oval Office rug.

The fact that these murdering terrorists are Muslims, does not reflect well on our dhimmi President. In fact, it proves that Smart Power! is anything, but.

Additionally, the fact that these two got into our sovereign land in the first place, shows the folly of relaxing our already-porous Immigration Laws (Sorry, Sen. Rubio.).

With the resounding defeat of Obama’s Gun Confiscation Bill, and now, in the aftermath of the New Boston Massacre, the Obama Administration and their Main Stream Media lackeys are bailing, just as fast as they can, in order to save Obama’s sinking Ship of State.

Oh, but, just wait. You ain’t seen nothin’, yet.

Doubling down on stupid, Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder will insist on trying the surviving Muslim Terrorist in Boston, thereby endangering its citizens by setting the stage for retaliation, instead of tossing him in Gitmo, and throwing away the key.

But, hey. What do I know. I’m just an ignorant old Conservative cracka’, living here in America’s Heartland.

Until He Comes,

KJ.

America 2013: A Ball of Confusion (With Apologies to the Temptations)

straightjacketI promise you, gentle readers..I truly believe that I’m losing what little sanity I have left.

Please allow me to try to rationalize some political absurdities….m’kay?

Marco Rubio gets parched while giving the GOP’s State of the Union Rebuttal…and now his chance to be President of the United States is over with?

A cold-blooded murderer, Chris Dorner, takes his own life, is subsequently rendered extra crispy by a fire in the mountain cabin he was hiding out in…after a shoot-out with law enforcement, in which he killed one deputy and wounded another…and idiot, Mom’s basement-dwelling, Liberals are worshiping him as if he will be the subject of the next t-shirt they will be wearing to an ill-fated job interview.

And at the same time, Dorner’s Mama was spotted eating potato chips and drinking wine, while watching her “baby” shooting it out with the San Bernadino Sheriff’s Department.

The Russian Foreign Minister will not return our new Secretary of State John Kerry’s telephone calls…and, I don’t blame him.

The Obama Administration, including the Attorney General, whose former law firm represents Muslim Terrorists, Eric Holder, says that it will be targeting Americans with unmanned drones.

Constitution? We don’t need no stinkin’ Constitution!

This same Manchurian President and his feckless Administration flew American Flags at half-mast in memory of crack addict Whitney Houston, but not American Hero Chris Kyle.

What in the Wide, Wide World of Sports is a’goin’ on here?

We’ll explore America’s cultural/societal decline later this week.

However, chaos, by definition, stems from a lack of leadership.

About our country’s anti-American President and lack of backlash against his disconnect with average Americans, Conservative Talk Show Host Rush Limbaugh said,

t may have been something you put together long ago. I must confess that I only just realized this today. And it’s about trying to understand how could so many people say they disagree with Obama’s policies and yet reelect him. I know that you and I have expressed our puzzlement and our curiosity over the great disconnect there is in this country. The people that vote for Obama don’t like where we’re going, the direction of the country, the policies of Obama, yet he wins elections.

So we’ve all been taking our stabs at trying to explain why. Well, he won reelection because he did such a good job of demonizing Romney that he made everybody afraid to vote for Romney and they settled and just voted for Obama, vote for the guy who’s already there, at least he’s a known quantity. But the New York Times story today finally opens my eyes to what we’re dealing with, at least for me. And, as I say, you may have understood this long ago. “Polls Show Dissatisfaction With Country’s Direction, but Support for Obama’s Agenda.”

Now, you and I, in what I would call the high-information voter sector, understand what a giant disconnect that is. How in the world can people be dissatisfied with the country’s direction while at the same time support the very agenda that’s causing it? This just doesn’t compute to you and me. We recognize that it is Obama’s agenda which is leading to the problems this country has and thus the dissatisfaction that people have regarding the country’s direction. But the majority of people who vote, there is no connection of those two things whatsoever. They support Obama’s agenda, and they are terribly unhappy about the direction of the country, and, therefore, they do not associate Obama’s agenda or his policies with the direction of the country.

They do not associate Obama’s policies with what has happened to the country. They don’t associate all the spending and all the debt with the lack of jobs. They don’t make that connection, they don’t see any connection, they don’t see it at all. Now, to me this is an eye-opener, and it’s going to force me to assess exactly how to go forward here in dealing with these people. The idea is to persuade them. I mean, they are the low-information voters.

Now, if they’re unhappy with the economy, if they’re unhappy with jobs, if they’re unhappy with the debt, if they’re unhappy with the housing market and yet support Obama’s agenda, then they obviously do not connect Obama’s policies as being in any way related to or responsible for the country’s direction that they don’t like, which means a number of things. It means that they see Obama as working really hard to try to fix everything, rather than Obama as the reason for things worsening. They just do not see that. And to you and me it’s a slam dunk. It’s one plus one is two. These are people, outcome-based education, two plus two is five and we’ll give ’em an A for trying. They don’t see it.

So Obama is not at all connected to the tragic destruction of this country. He is seen as somebody who wants to fix it. It’s the same thing as people seeing Colonel Sanders as a guy running a hospital to save chickens. Wouldn’t compute. It wouldn’t make any sense. But that’s how he’s viewed. Now, maybe one reason is that he’s successfully blamed Bush all these years and the exit polling data last November, vast majority of people still do blame Bush for the economy, but it’s more than that. It’s that Obama never, ever, allows himself to be seen as governing. He is constantly campaigning.

Obama is constantly seen as in competition with what’s happening in Washington. It is though there are straw men. There are men behind curtains. There are invisible, evil people doing all this to the country. He’s trying to expose them and he’s working very hard. Romney is one of them. Bush was one of them. There are a bunch of other people, we don’t know who they are. But Obama is trying to find them. He’s trying to expose them and trying to fix all this. Obama is not seen as the guy behind the curtains pulling the levers. Obama is not seen as the guy who does not like the way the country was founded and is trying to take this country in a different direction. He’s not seen at all in the way he really is. It can’t all be because of the media.

…You may have figured this out long ago, but it just hit me — and if you figured it out long ago and you’ve been trying to get through here and tell me, I wish you’d have gotten through. For those of you who figured it out and I didn’t, I’m just now getting to it. I apologize for being a late arrival to the party, but now — now — it all makes sense. For five years Obama has never once allowed himself to be seen as governing.

He is constantly campaigning against mysterious forces who have ill intentions trying to harm you and this great country. There are these figures behind the screen, behind the curtain. Romney was one. Bush was one. There are others. Obama’s trying to expose them. Throughout history dictators, for example, have never really been blamed for the bad things that happened in their countries. Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Castro, none of them were blamed by the rank-and-file citizenry.

They were, instead, the leaders of the revolution!

Until Americans realize who is causing the political problems, foreign and domestic, which we are facing as a country, and, the civic responsibility that is their heritage as citizens of these United States, our problems will continue to mount, and, this “Shining City on a Hill” will continue a purposeful, man-caused de-evolution into a democratic socialist nation.

Average Americans, like you and me, can stop this.

We can do it, America.

We made a difference in 2010. We can do it again.

It is up to us.

The Epic Failure of the Republican “Establishment”

Boehner2Last week, in a post titled,”The Failed GOP Strategy of Passive Resistance”, I observed,

Out here in the Heartland of America, I have heard from Conservatives who are bumfuzzled by the actions (specifically, the lack thereof) of the Republicans in the House of Representatives and the Senate, in regards to the full throttle offensive battle being waged against America by its own president, Barack Hussein Obama.

I believe that the GOP Establishment have ordered the rank and file to shuddup and practice “Passive Resistance” in an effort to show the party as being “bi-partisan” and able to “reach across the aisle”.

The reason for their inaction has to do with the fact that the Republican Establishment are all Moderates. And, as the great Margaret Thatcher once said,

Standing in the middle of the road is very dangerous; you get knocked down by the traffic from both sides.

And, evidently the Northeast Republicans’ Club, soooper geniuses that they are, love the abuse.

On Novmber 8, 2012, Jeffrey Lord wrote the following in an article for The American Spectator:

And so, another moderate fails.

Governor Romney is a good person, a great business leader.

But, alas, he is also a moderate Republican.

As were Herbert Hoover, Alf Landon, Wendell Willkie, Thomas E. Dewey, Gerald R. Ford, George H.W. Bush, Bob Dole and John McCain. Making Mitt Romney a historical asterisk as the tenth moderate GOP nominee (Dewey was nominated twice) to lose the White House.

The exceptions to the rule are Dwight Eisenhower, who won not because he was a moderate but because he was the general-hero of World War II. Richard Nixon campaigned as the moderate he was in 1960 and lost. By 1968 he had won the nomination of a party that had shifted back to its conservative roots and he campaigned accordingly — as he did in 1972. He won narrowly the second time, by a landslide the third. George H.W. Bush ran as the heir to Reagan in 1988 and won. Governing as a moderate he lost — and lost badly in his 1992 re-election effort. George W. Bush ran as a “compassionate conservative” — which is to say a moderate — in 2000 and 2004 and squeaked by the first time thanks to the Supreme Court, winning the second time by a bare 100,000 votes in Ohio.

On Tuesday night, it comes clear, as this is written using the latest Fox News figures, Mitt Romney lost to President Obama by 2,819,339 votes.

And the news ekes out that Moderate Nominee Number 10 Romney received some 3 million Republican votes less than Moderate Nominee Number 9 — John McCain in 2008.

Which is to say, 3 million base GOP voters simply refused to vote for Romney. Doing the available math, that means had those 3 million Republicans voted for Romney he would have, as this is written, a margin of victory in the national popular vote of 180,661. Depending on the state spread, potentially an Electoral College victory as well.

Does the message get through here?

Well, for some in the GOP — no.

The usual call will now go up — just as it did in 1950 from two-time loser Dewey — that to nominate a conservative is to lose. Somehow heedless that it wasn’t Ronald Reagan and his conservatism that lost or almost lost the White House, it was this seemingly endless stream of very nice moderate Republicans.

Reasonable people can be expected to raise the point of just when that old joke attributed to Einstein will come clear. You know the one. That the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. For Republicans, this translates as yet again nominating a moderate who is said to “move to the center,” “can attract women,” “get the youth vote” and “get the minority vote.”

The strategy has failed repeatedly for some 80 years. Say again… 80 years!!!!! And yet there are still those out there who insist on doing the same thing  over — and over and over and over — again.

As we head into the Lightbringer’s second term, it appears that the Republican Establishment would rather find a scapegoat for their collective misery, that learn anything in their defeat.

On his radio program on January 13th, Rush Limbaugh said:

I think the Republican establishment is of the same frame of mind as Obama is, that the opposition is conservatives. The opposition is conservatism. And that’s why we’ve had some people ask me, “What was Colin Powell doing?” Colin Powell was on Meet the Press yesterday doing what Scarborough did on MSNBC this morning, which is what a lot of Republicans are doing, and that is criticizing conservatives. Every problem we’ve got, from the gridlock to intransigence to spending, it’s all the fault of conservatives.

Mark Levin nailed the problem with the GOP last Monday on Sean Hannity’s radio program, as therightscoop.com reported:

The Republican establishment is destroying the Republican Party. The only reason they’re in the majority in the House is because of conservatives, conservatives across the country, the grassroots.

They lost the Senate. They like to point to 2 races, one in Missouri and one in Indiana. I can point to 10 races where there were liberal to moderate Republicans who lost and of course they never mention that.

The fact of the matter is that in my opinion…until the Republican leadership that has brought us McCain and Romney, that has a feckless RNC, a preposterously incompetent get-out-the-vote operation, is removed and replaced with fresh, smart, confident, knowledgeable people, until some of our backbenchers move to the front, some of the young, tea party conservative candidates who can articulate our vision and our principles, this is going to continue.

Obama may want to destroy the Republican Party, but the Republican Party is imploding. And you know what? It needs to be cleansed, it needs to be cleaned out – not for purity reasons, not for absolutism, but because it needs to be a party that stands for something.

I agree with “The Great One”. Until the good ol’ boys, or the Northeast Republicans’ Club, as I like to call them, realize that the majority of Americans out here in the Heartland are still Conservative “bitter clingers” who love God and country, they will be victims of their own hubris, and continue to lose elections.

And, it will be nobody’s fault but their own.

Until He Comes,

KJ

Is America Self-Destructing?

American ChristianityAm I insane? (Don’t answer that.) Or, have you noticed that, as soon as the election was over, the doors of decency and Old Fashioned American Values began coming off at the hinges?

The internet is abuzz with the left’s banshee scream for Gun Control in the aftermath of the mass murder of children, committed by  a psychopath, the “puff-puff Libertarians” renewed cries for Marijuana Legalization and all of their drug-addled naivete-laden arguments in favor of it, and the whining and strawman arguments associated with the push to change the definition of the word “marriage”, so that Adam and Steve may be viewed as “normal”, and live, as least for a couple or years, as “husband” and…err…umm…”husband”.

All this mayhem continues to bust out, just  one week from Christmas Eve, when Americans will be gathering to celebrate the birth of the Son of God.

Yet, with the re-election of, as I called him Sunday, “an anti-American, Muslim-sympathizing, political-pandering, class warfare-preaching, card-carrying Communist”, coinciding with all this mayhem busting loose in the greatest country on God’s green Earth, it seems that God has taken his hand of providence and protection off this country, right now.

A man, who would be considered a cornball by the standards of today’s “puff-puff Libertarians” and “Fiscal Conservatives”, wrote a prophetic analysis of today’s current events.

This speech was broadcast by legendary ABC Radio commentator Paul Harvey on April 3, 1965:

If I were the Devil . . . I mean, if I were the Prince of Darkness, I would of course, want to engulf the whole earth in darkness. I would have a third of its real estate and four-fifths of its population, but I would not be happy until I had seized the ripest apple on the tree, so I should set about however necessary to take over the United States. I would begin with a campaign of whispers. With the wisdom of a serpent, I would whisper to you as I whispered to Eve: “Do as you please.” “Do as you please.” To the young, I would whisper, “The Bible is a myth.” I would convince them that man created God instead of the other way around. I would confide that what is bad is good, and what is good is “square”. In the ears of the young marrieds, I would whisper that work is debasing, that cocktail parties are good for you. I would caution them not to be extreme in religion, in patriotism, in moral conduct. And the old, I would teach to pray. I would teach them to say after me: “Our Father, which art in Washington” . . .

If I were the devil, I’d educate authors in how to make lurid literature exciting so that anything else would appear dull an uninteresting. I’d threaten T.V. with dirtier movies and vice versa. And then, if I were the devil, I’d get organized. I’d infiltrate unions and urge more loafing and less work, because idle hands usually work for me. I’d peddle narcotics to whom I could. I’d sell alcohol to ladies and gentlemen of distinction. And I’d tranquilize the rest with pills. If I were the devil, I would encourage schools to refine young intellects but neglect to discipline emotions . . . let those run wild. I would designate an atheist to front for me before the highest courts in the land and I would get preachers to say “she’s right.” With flattery and promises of power, I could get the courts to rule what I construe as against God and in favor of pornography, and thus, I would evict God from the courthouse, and then from the school house, and then from the houses of Congress and then, in His own churches I would substitute psychology for religion, and I would deify science because that way men would become smart enough to create super weapons but not wise enough to control them.

If I were Satan, I’d make the symbol of Easter an egg, and the symbol of Christmas, a bottle. If I were the devil, I would take from those who have and I would give to those who wanted, until I had killed the incentive of the ambitious. And then, my police state would force everybody back to work. Then, I could separate families, putting children in uniform, women in coal mines, and objectors in slave camps. In other words, if I were Satan, I’d just keep on doing what he’s doing.

Paul Harvey, Good Day.

John Adams, the second President of these United States, delivered the following message to the Officers of the First Brigade of the Third Division of the Militia of Massacusetts on October 11, 1798:

Gentleman,

While our country remains untainted with the principles and manners which are now producing desolation in so many parts of the world; while she continues sincere, and incapable of insidious and impious policy, we shall have the strongest reason to rejoice in the local destination assigned us by Providence. But should the people of America once become capable of that deep simulation towards one another, and towards foreign nations, which assumes the language of justice and moderation while it is practising iniquity and extravagance, and displays I have received from Major-General Hull and Brigadier, General Walker your unanimous address from Lexington, animated with a martial spirit, and expressed with a military dignity becoming your character and the memorable plains on which it was adopted. In the most captivating manner the charming pictures of candor, frankness, and sincerity, while it is rioting in rapine and insolence, this country will be the most miserable habitation in the World; because we have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge, or gallantry, would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.

Were these two great Americans speaking about the situation we find our country in on December 18, 2012?

Do you see it? Or, is it just me?

Conservatism: The New Leprosy

DeMintPolitical Pundits are buzzing over veteran Senator, staunch Conservative and Tea Party Favorite, Jim DeMint’s  (R- SC)  resignation from office to become the new President of the Heritage Foundation.

Of course, the Liberal Propaganda vultures are all lined up side-by-side on a branch, like in a Disney movie, ready to swoop.

Like, for instance, that bastion of journalistic integrity, The New York Times:

His imminent departure to head a well-financed organization with significant heft in conservative circles will allow him to oppose even more loudly a big budget deal that includes higher tax revenues sought by President Obama. Mr. DeMint has been a loud Republican critic of a deal proffered by House Speaker John A. Boehner to address the impending fiscal crisis by generating at least $800 billion in new tax revenue.

“I’m leaving the Senate now, but I’m not leaving the fight,” Mr. DeMint said in a statement. “I’ve decided to join the Heritage Foundation at a time when the conservative movement needs strong leadership in the battle of ideas.”

In a parting shot — or perhaps warning flare — Mr. DeMint on Thursday suggested to Rush Limbaugh that Mr. Boehner might need to watch his back. When asked if Mr. Boehner was forcing him out, Mr. DeMint replied, “It might work a little bit the other way, Rush.”

By slanting their article as they did, the Times are beginning the Palinization of Jim DeMint. IN a rapid pace that would make Jeff Gordon jealous they will continue to wrap a cocoon of Liberal lies and innuendo around him, until her will be about a welcome in the Beltway as a leper on Miami Beach.

The problem is not just the propensity of Liberals to spoon-feed their propaganda and anti-American garbage to poorly-informed adults, they are indoctrinating our children:

Controversy fills the halls at a Kanawha County high school, Monday, after the principal cancels the Pledge of Allegiance and National Anthem.

Capital High School principal Clinton Giles refused to comment on camera about his decision to pull the pledge, he did say off camera, that he was trying to make a statement, after getting complaints he was forcing students to recite the pledge.

“My understanding is we had some calls from parents that students were being told that they had to stand and if they didn’t stand for the Pledge of Allegiance, and I also believe they played the African American national anthem, then they were disciplined for that,” explained Kanawha County Schools Superintendent Ron Duerring.

Duerring says that schools are required to say the pledge, but students are not required to stand and recite it. They have the option to remain seated. Giles told Eyewitness News that he does ask students to stand during the pledge, but they aren’t forced to recite it.

“There is court case at the national level, supreme court level, federal and state that says you can’t force any child to stand for any pledge of any kind,” said Duerring.

Giles said in January of 101, he changed the rule at Capital, from giving students the option to sit or stand, to making them stand. He said the school has the power to structure the observance of the flag, and he’s within his rights to make the rule.

After the complaints came to the superintendent, he took matters into his own hands, and cancelled the pledge and National Anthem all together, Monday morning.

“It shouldn’t be all or nothing. People have the right to make a decision and when he does that, when he says you all have to stand, or none of you are going to stand, he takes away that ability to make a choice,” said sophomore George Lilly.

And, guess what? It’s not just us American Conservatives who are being shunned:

UK’s Lord Christopher Monckton, a climate skeptic, gets evicted

After the news conference, and as diplomats gathered for the climate conference president’s assessment of how close countries are to agreement, Monckton quietly slipped into the seat reserved for the delegation of Myanmar and clicked the button to speak.

“In the 16 years we have been coming to these conferences, there has been no global warming,” Monckton said as confused murmurs filled the hall and then turned into a chorus of boos.

The stunt infuriated negotiators and activists here who gather every year to address what they believe is one of the world’s top threats, the steady rise of man-made global warming.

As Monckton was escorted from the hall and security officers stripped him of his U.N. credentials, several people noted that just a few hours earlier a group of young activists had been thrown out of the convention center and deported. Their crime: unfurling an unauthorized banner calling for the Qatari hosts to lead the negotiations to a strong conclusion.

By late today, several activists attending the conference had posted calls to “deport Monckton” on their Twitter feeds.

The way things are going, by the end of The Lightbringer’s second term, Conservatives will be forced to wear some sort of symbol over our hearts (May I suggest an upside-down American Flag as a symbol of a nation in distress?) and, when approaching a crowd, cup their hand over their mouth and yell,

Unclean! Unclean!

Or…we could pick ourselves up, and in 2014, produce a Conservative Tsunami, that makes 2010 look like a garden hose.

Above all, we must realize that no arsenal, or no weapon in the arsenals of the world, is so formidable as the will and moral courage of free men and women. It is a weapon our adversaries in today’s world do not have.

The GOP and Social Conservatives: A Party Divided

Now that the Presidential Election is over with, and the GOP Establishment’s hand-picked Candidate, the man who could not lose, Mitt Romney, lost, guess what segment of the Republican Party is being blamed for the loss?

You guessed it…Social Conservatives, i.e., Christians.

Back in February, when Republican Candidate Rick Santorum was being blasted for his Christian views, Rush Limbaugh said the following…

The Republican establishment, for the most part, if they could, would simply excommunicate every social conservative Republican they could find. They’d kick ’em out of the party, and they would gag ’em. They’d find a way to make sure they couldn’t speak. That’s how much they hate ’em, detest ’em, are embarrassed by them. And it’s based on one thing, primarily. It’s based on the fact that these establishment Republicans and others who don’t like the social conservatives are primarily, singularly worried about what people are going to think of them for being in the same party with the social conservatives. It really is no more complicated than that. I mean there are other things. They think social conservatives lose elections. They think social conservatives make the whole Republican Party a big target, like what’s going on now, this contraception business.

Paul Jesep, an attorney, policy analyst, and author of Lost Sense of Self & the Ethics Crisis: Learn to Live and Work Ethically, wrote the following in an article posted on allvoices.com

It’s been said Rockefeller Republicanism is almost dead, if not dead. Only a few GOP moderates are in Congress and seem to be only tolerated by social conservative colleagues. Yet it is equally true Goldwater conservatism has been pushed aside for an evangelical fundamentalism attempting to use government and a political party to legislate God, religion, and morality. This is a far cry from what had been Republicanism. Ironically, it’s what social conservatives purport to disdain the most – activism falsely packaged as limited government.

Today’s GOP social conservatives lament their liberty is threatened when someone else is empowered with personal rights with which they disagree and though they are not impacted. It’s an odd argument coming from a group who fears government, yet seeks to use it to define values and personal responsibility for others.

If Republicans truly want to engage in genuine soul-searching to rebuild their shattered party, then they should start with a history lesson. At one time they championed the separation of church and state to protect religion. In the past, respect and good stewardship of the land was considered conservative. And Republican, conservative, and moderate had nothing to do with God. Until this generation of Republicans learn their own history, reform of the GOP seems futile.

In other words, Mr. Jesep believes that the GOP has to become the Democratic Party II, in order to compete for the hearts and minds of Americans.

Eric Erickson wrote in an article on redstate.com on November 9th,

What’s really going on here is that the people who voted Republican, but who disagree with pro-lifers and defenders of marriage, have decided it must be those issues. They can’t see how what happened actually happened unless it happened because the issues on which they disagree with the base played a role.

This is a psychological avoidance of larger issues and does not stack up to the data.

Mitt Romney won about a quarter of the hispanic vote and a tenth of the black vote.

Those numbers may not sound like much, but in close elections they matter.

A sizable portion of those black and hispanic voters voted GOP despite disagreeing with the GOP on fiscal issues. But they are strongly social conservative and could not vote for the party of killing kids and gay marriage. So they voted GOP.

You throw out the social conservatives and you throw out those hispanic and black voters. Further, you make it harder to attract new hispanic voters who happen to be the most socially conservative voters in the country.

Next, you’ll also see a reduction of probably half the existing GOP base. You won’t make that up with Democrats who suddenly think that because their uterus is safe they can now vote Republican. Most of those people don’t like fiscal conservatism either — often though claiming that they do.

If you really need to think through this, consider MItt Romney. He is perhaps the shiftiest person to ever run for President of the United States. He shifted his position on virtually every position except Romneycare. Of all the politicians to ever run for office, he’d be the one most likely to come out and, after the Republican convention, decide he’d changed his mind. He’d be okay with abortion and okay with gay marriage.

Had he done that, he’d have even less votes.

So, the reality is, once you travel outside the Northeast corridor, home to all the Liberal and Moderate Political Pundits, there are actually living, breathing, thinking Conservative American Christians, who still call this sacred land our home.

By the way…

Did you know that more than 1.2 million meals have been served to victims of Hurricane Sandy by Southern Baptist Disaster Relief (SBDR) volunteers since the storm hit?

In all, over 1,200 SBDR volunteers from 34 states and Canada have responded to provide disaster relief following the superstorm that ravaged the East Coast, the North American Mission Board (NAMB) reports in a disaster relief update on its website. These volunteers have also reported that 56 people have made professions of faith in Jesus Christ as a result of the organization’s work.

I just threw that in, because I did not read anywhere about the Freedom From Religion Foundation doing any relief work with the victims of Hurricane Sandy.

But, that’s an analysis for another time…

If the GOP turns its back on Reagan (Social) Conservatives, they will not win another election…period.

Conservative Ideology did not lose this presidential election.

Poor communication of it, did.

The Aftermath: Reagan Conservatives Catching It…From Both Sides

Remember the theme from the original Poseidon Adventure, There’s Got to Be a Morning After, sung by Maureen McGovern? If you’re as old as me, you do.

The morning after, or, the aftermath of Barack Hussein Obama’s (mm mmm mmmm) re-election victory, found on the Internet, was a strange mixture of accusations, jubilation, and condemnation.

The condemnation was directed at American Values Voters, otherwise known as Reagan Conservatives. What boggled my mind, and I guess that it should not have, was the fact that the insults were coming from Democrats, and self-proclaimed Republicans.

Those “Republicans” call themselves “Fiscal Conservatives”. They claim to believe in 2 out of the 3 tenets (stool legs) of the three-legged stool of Reagan Conservatism: Fiscal Conservatism and Strong National Defense. They believe that embracing Social Conservatism is passe and will not win a national election.

You should have read the litany of condemnation I read, directed toward Social Conservatives yesterday, on Conservative websites. The insults went something like this:

SoCons need to just shut up and go away.  You guys are a bunch of busybodies. You’re a bunch of senile, old dinosaurs. You add nothing to the Party, and your antique belief system should never be a part of the Republican Party Platform.

No one cares about abortion, gay marriage, or Benghazi!

We can win elections without you!

Uh huh. Tell you what, Cletus. Check out the map in the upper left corner. All that Red area is where Conservatives, including Reagan Conservatives, voted. The Blue Areas belong to the Liberal Democrats.

Passe? Not hardly.

I’d like to ask three things. then, Sparky, being the curious old codger that I am:

1. Without embracing the same Judeo-Christian Values System that our Founders believed in, how can you be sure that you are making the correct fixcal decisions for our country and its people? By relying on your own limited knowledge?  “A fool and his money are soon parted” – Dr. John Bridges

2.When you guys say that Republicans need to “have a ‘Big Tent’, embrace diversity, and show that we are just as tolerant as the Democrats, in order to win over voters”, that tolerance somehow doesn’t seem to extend to Reagan Conservatives and/or Evangelicals. Isn’t that called “Hypocrisy”?

3. By not embracing a Judeo-Christian Values System, what makes you any different than the Liberal Democrats? Knowing how to save money? Heck, the Liberals know how to save money. They just don’t want to.

4. Wasn’t the Republican Presidential Candidate this year a Fiscal Conservative…and a Liberal on Social Issues? By all accounts, he’s a true gentleman. However, he received less votes than RINO John McCain did….against a worse president than Jimmy Carter was.

You can’t sit on a two-legged stool.

Reagan Conservatism is still very relevant.

Let’s look at quotes released, after the election, from two of my favorite Reagan Conservatives, who just happen to be Christians…and female.

First, here’s Michelle Malkin:

Once again, we have our work cut out for us. We lost this election, but we still live in the greatest country on the planet and we still have many ways to fight for and defend it.

My counsel to you tonight: Please, do not be bitter. Do not fall prey to the Beltway blame game. Do not get mired in small things. Do not become vengeful creatures like our political opponents who voted out of spite instead of love of country.

We still have boundless blessings to count — and to secure.

I remain a proud, unrepentant believer in the American Dream. And I know you do, too. Freedom will endure because we will keep fighting for it. We can’t afford not to, friends.

Earlier this evening, when many conservatives on Twitter started despairing, I quoted from Psalm 46:10. Elections come and go. Faith endures:

He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;

I will be exalted among the nations,

I will be exalted in the earth.”

Chins up. Stand tall. We’ll fight again tomorrow.

Next, Sarah Palin wrote on her Facebook Page:

America, don’t lose heart. This election is not an “Obama mandate,” nor is it a rejection of conservatism. Unanswered ads like this one running in blue collar swing states defined Romney early on, and the Obama media also piled on with the narrative that Romney would harm the middle class. (As I personally have witnessed, once a bell is rung by a biased media, it’s impossible to un-ring it.) Ironically, it’s Obama’s socialist policies that will destroy America’s working class as he outsources opportunities.

Hang in there, America. Fight for what is right. Don’t look to government or any politician to solve your problems. Government can’t make you happy, healthy, wealthy or wise. Obama is a master at reading the right “soaring” words fed into his teleprompter, but actions speak louder than words. So, hold tight to 2 Corinthians 4:8 because we’re in for a wild ride.

We must survive. United. One nation under God.

“We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted but not forsaken, struck down, but not destroyed.” – 2 Corinthians 4:8-9.

As I wrote in yesterday’s Blog:

Conservatives are still the largest political ideology in this country. Don’t believe the garbage that you will be hearing from the Beltway Pundits in the upcoming days. They don’t know you. They are as far-removed from our daily lives as Michelle Obama is from a Thigh Master.

Allow me to leave you with a Bible quote, like those two wonderful Conservative Women did:

Therefore, brothers, in all our distress and persecution we were encouraged about you because of your faith.

– 1 Thessalonians 3:7

Keep the Faith, Americans.

A Divided Nation

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. (Psalm 121:1-5 KJV)

I went to bed last night and tossed and turned for quite a while. I couldn’t believe it. Are Americans idiots? Had they completely given themselves over to Godless avarice? Had they learned nothing from the failed history of the teachings of Karl Marx?

Then, I looked at the Electoral Map this morning.

Brothers and sisters, we live in a divided nation.

Following years of the dumbing down of America’s population (Just look at the ACT/SAT scores.), an emboldening of the Fifth Column treasonous Main Stream Media, and three generations of a growing population of Americans who look to Uncle Sugar for their daily existence, America is divided between the worker Bees and the Drones, the Christians and the Lyin’s, and, unfortunately, the North and the South.

It has taken a while to make the Marx/Alinsky dream come true.  From the time of the Democrat’s Great Society, through Barack Hussein Obama’s Together We thrive (on taxpayers’ money), America has traveled a path of growing dependence on Big Government, horrifyingly similar to that of Europe, now in the throes of an Armaggedon of Class Warfare.

For a year and a half, I worked at a local state-run  Jobs Center, where folks could come in, register with the state, use the computers to find a job they wanted to apply for, and then talk to a counselor, who, 9 times out of 10, qualified or not, would refer them to that employer, in order to reach their quota.

People would also come up there to report how they looked for work, in order to receive their Unemployment Check. It was simple: You have to have contacted three employers, by phone, computer, or person-to-person.

I can’t tell you how many showed up with nothing filled out on their contact sheet, and then got mad when we told them they had to have it filled out. They then, sat down at a table and made contacts up, in order to continue to receive “their benefits”.

Heck, during the summer, you would have generations of families from small towns in Northwest Mississippi carpool in together. While they would be waiting to be seen, they would have a party with friends or family that were up there, getting “their benefits”, also.

But, its not just these professional Moochers (like the First Lady) that voted for the Manchurian President last night. It was those well-meaning, I’m-smarter than-you, I-feel-more-than-you, you-ignorant-redneck-racist-Christianist hick Liberals up in the Northeast corridor, who proudly proclaim on Conservative websites:

Hey, I’m a Moderate!

Trust me. I’ve been fighting them on the Conservative website, hotair.com, since Obama was elected the first time. It was their influence that got Romney-Ryan nominated.

Now, don’t get me wrong: Mitt Romney seems to be , as Rush Limbaugh described him, a gentleman. But, as Rush also said:

Mitt Romney is no Conservative.

And, despite what the Beltway Pundits will proclaim today, America is still a Center-right country.

Just look at all those Red States, sitting squarely in the Heartland of our nation. These states are, to this very moment, populated by hard-working American Christians, loving God and country, and doing their best, against a rising tide, to live by God’s Word, and to continue to uphold the Judeo-Christian Values that this nation was founded upon.

I know, because I am surrounded by them. I work with them everyday. I attend church on Sunday, go to Small Group on Tuesday night, and spend time with them socially. They are my family and friends…and they are just as upset and torqued off, as I am.

The bright side to this monumental stupidity shown by the American people last night is tri-fold:

1. God is still in control. He said it. I believe it. That settles it. You can’t outrun Him and you can’t out-love Him.

2. Conservatives are still the largest political ideology in this country. Don’t believe the garbage that you will be hearing from the Beltway Pundits in the upcoming days. They don’t know you. They are as far-removed from our daily lives as Michelle Obama is from a Thigh Master.

3. We still hold the House of Representatives. We must hold Boehner and the rest of the RINOs’ pedicured feet to the fire. They must hold the line against the, as Victoria Jackson sang, “Communist in the White House”.

As I watch the sun come up once again in Northwest Mississippi, I’m reminded of the words of my sainted Daddy’s favorite Hymn (and mine, as well):

I will cling to the Old Rugged Cross,

and exchange it someday for a crown.

Obama got it wrong back in 2008.

Christian Americans don’t bitterly cling.

We joyfully cling.

Conservative Movie Box Office Bonanza…Liberals Mystified

A Conservative scholar’s documentary about President Barack Hussein Obama (mm mmm mmmm) has turned out to be the most watched documentary of the year, bringing in over $20,000,000, so far.

NYDailyNews.com has the story:

While pundits and critics are divided over whether “2016: Obama’s America” is a sobering documentary examining “the most mysterious U.S. president in modern history” or an 87-minute attack ad, there’s no debating that the film is a box office phenomenon.

Taking a page from his own book “The Roots of Obama’s Rage,” conservative scholar Diniseh D’Souza’s film has shocked industry prognosticators by earning an estimated $20 million to date, more than five times what the second-highest documentary this year, “Bully,” earned. With virtually no promotional budget, the film has expanded in a little over a month from one theater in Houston to 1747 screens this weekend.

“People see the success and they think we have the marketing budget of ‘Dark Knight Rises,’ we probably don’t even have the catering budget of the ‘Dark Knight,'” co-director John Sullivan, who helped craft the promotional plan, told the News.

So they had to rely on the choir preaching to an even bigger choir. Sullivan says ahead of the film’s mid-July opening at the Edward Houston Marq’E Stadium 23 & IMAX, local right-wing radio host Michael Berry championed the film with an all-out publicity blitz on his show.

Roughly 200 movie-goers were turned away from the sold out shows that weekend, a theater manager told the Hollywood Reporter.

From there, the film opened in three additional Houston-area theaters, then a handful of other cities in the reddest of states. It helped that by the time it jumped onto 1,071 screens last weekend, it didn’t have to go toe-to-toe with Batman or Iron Man.

“This is a case of good timing,” says Paul Dergarabedian, box office analyst for Hollywood.com. “If it would have come out even two weeks earlier, it would have been swamped by the big blockbusters.”

Through the week of the Republican National Convention, D’Souza and producer Gerald Molen, who won an Academy Award for “Schindler’s List,” have been doing dozens of interviews. Along the way they picked up some key endorsements from the likes of Glen Beck and Rupert Murdoch.

Despite the clearly partisan image surrounding the film, Mark Joseph, whose firm MJM Entertainment is handling marketing of the film, insists the ticket-buyers aren’t all coming from one side of the great political divide.

“The producers did some testing early on that yielded some surprising and counterintuitive results: it played very well among non-whites and independents,” said Joseph by email. “There was speculation that that could be because Dinesh is himself a native of India and the high marks from independents were because he rejects birtherism and gives no quarter to the suggestion that the President isn’t a Christian.”

“The Passion of The Christ audience was roughly half very devout and half not so devout,” says Joseph. “The latter wanted to see what the fuss was about.”

But it’s clear this film taps into Republican dissatisfaction with President Obama – not unlike the rage Democrats felt in 2004 that Michael Moore tapped with “Fahrenheit 9/11.”

It’s also clear that Hollyweird is having a bad year, per hollywoodreporter.com:

The number of people going to the movies dipped noticeably in North America this summer, putting increased pressure on the final four months of 2012 to bolster the bottom line.

According to preliminary estimates, 533.5 million tickets were sold this summer, down 4 percent from last year and the worst turnout since 1993. The lowest attendance before now came in summer 2010, when there were 534.4 tickets sold.

Total summer revenues also slipped. Initial estimates show the domestic box office generating $4.278 in billion in sales, down roughly 3 percent from last summer’s record $4.4 billion.

Final revenue and attendance figures will be released this week.

“You can’t just count on blockbuster superheroes and action movies alone,” said Hollywood.com’s Dergarabedian. Studios also need comedies and adult dramas to post record summer results, he said.

Hollywood often says box office swings are based simply on the appeal of films. This summer, moviegoers may have become more discerning when deciding where to spend their entertainment dollars, executives said.

“I don’t think you can fool audiences,” Universal’s Rocco said. “They are savvy, and expectations are high.”

Americans have grown exceptionally weary concerning all the anti-American, anti-God, pro-Liberal sentiments that are so prevalent in today’s box office offerings.

Additionally, thank’s to this president’s failed economic policies, average Americans can afford to go out to see mediocre movies.

Americans are looking for uplifting entertainment, and Hollywood has been giving us Horror movies, instead.

The reason that Superhero movies have been doing so well is simple: Americans always prefer to see good triumph over evil. Just as they prefer to our nation portrayed in a good light. That’s why those anti-American movies , such as “redacted” , of a couple of years ago did so poorly.

The money men behind Hollywood had better pay attention to the tremendous response that Clint Eastwood has received for his improvisation at the Republican National Convention.

They need to make movies for the majority of Americans, not the Liberal minority.
