Intolerant Liberals, “Squishy Conservatives”, a Divided Nation

Russia, under the leadership of Former KGB Agent, Vladimir Putin, is as aggressive as they have ever been, presently on a campaign to regain all of those Eastern European Countries which they lost during the demise of the old Soviet Union.

At the same time, the land bequeathed to Abram by God (Genesis 12: 1-3), is the scene of violence, as Muslim Barbarians, who have never had a country of their own, seek to take over Israel and kill God’s Chosen People.

How is this happening?

The answer is to a cheering throng of Europeans, infiltrated by adherents to the “Religion of Peace”. You know, the religion that turns their wives and daughters into slaves to be beaten and murdered for “honor’s sake”, and, whose “Freedom Fighters”, in the midst of a “Holy Jihad” against “the infidels”, use their own children as human shields and ‘wage war” from inside the corridors of hospitals.

However, it is not just the Europeans who are cheering these cowardly barbarians on. It is American Liberals, as well.

While not every American Liberal supports the barbarism of Hamas, there are more than you think, including, unbelievably, some American Jews.

These “tolerant” Liberals are following the lead of their President and his Administration.

The United States on Wednesday put the most direct pressure yet on its ally Israel to cut short its military campaign against Hamas in Gaza, but Secretary of State John F. Kerry did not get a deal from Israel or the Palestinians to stop the bloodshed.

Despite a swirl of shuttle diplomacy, the war looked far from over Wednesday. Israeli leaders told their soldiers to prepare for an escalation inside the Gaza Strip, while the leader of Hamas vowed that his Islamist militant movement would not sign a permanent cease-fire until Israel ends its blockade of the coastal enclave.

Ordinary Israelis were upset with the United States and accused the Americans of cowardice after the Federal Aviation Administration, nervous that Hamas rockets have landed near Israel’s main airport, extended a ban on U.S. commercial flights to Tel Aviv. The decision was bad news for a small, image-conscious country such as Israel whose economy relies on international trade and tourism.

The FAA lifted the ban at 11:45 p.m. EDT on Wednesday.

Kerry met in Israel with on Wednesday with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who was angry about the FAA action and suspicious that it was an attempt by the Obama administration to squeeze Israel to end its Gaza campaign.

This division over the right of Israel to defend herself against Islamic Terrorists, extends to the overall feeling of Americans concerning the current state of our nation.

According to Rasmussen Reports,

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Wednesday shows that 47% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Obama’s job performance. Fifty-one percent (51%) disapprove (see trends).

The latest figures include 24% who Strongly Approve of the way Obama is performing as president and 41% who Strongly Disapprove. This gives him a Presidential Approval Index rating of -17.

Voters strongly believe the United States is a more divided nation these days, but Republicans are the most eager to do something about it at the ballot box in November.

The Republican Party has been practicing “Squishy” Conservatism, since the history-making Midterm Elections of 2010. We are currently living with the consequences of that. Practicing this political philosophy of relative ethics and relative morality is akin to building a house on shifting sand.

Americans do not tolerate vacillating leaders for very long. Look at the problems besetting The “Fundraiser-in-Chief”, Barack “Scooter” Obama. Few Americans, except for his Far Left sycophantic base, are buying the now-stale  “Hope and Change” he is still feebly selling.

More Liberals are becoming jaded and disappointed with Obama, because all of his “hope and change”, has affected the pocketbooks of the entire nation, not just those of the “evil 1%”.

This Karl Marx/Saul Alinsky-inspired “Class War Politics” and his own petulant, belligerent personality of a 12 year old, has lead to a divided nation, the likes of which has not been seen since “The War of Northern Aggression”.

Conservatives have a great opportunity ahead of us this November. But we will blow it if we do not present a united front. Our country is under siege from enemies, internal and external, that want to turn the “Shining City on a Hill” into a Third-World Barrio. We do not have the luxury of wasting time ridiculing another Conservative for being old-fashioned or Christian. It’s time to man up. The barbarians have knocked down the gate and they are ransacking our homes. They have burdened future generations with a tax burden that may be insurmountable. For our children’s children’s sake, we must politically repel these invaders who wish to make us subservient to their failed ideology. 

So before I wrap my daily rant up, I wish to leave you with the words of the greatest American President in my lifetime, Ronald Wilson Reagan.  Here is a excerpt from a now-famous “Stump Speech” he gave, during the Barry Goldwater Presidential Campaign in 1964.

Attorney General Eric Holder and the Glass House of Liberal Racism

RacismThe Attorney General of the United States, speaking on ABC yesterday, keeping in line with the political strategy of his boss, the “First Non-Racial President”, used the excuse of  “racial animus”, i.e., RACISM, in a weak attempt to protect him and the President from well-deserved criticism and opposition.

Attorney General Eric Holder said Sunday he and President Obama have been targets of “a racial animus” from some of the administration’s political opponents.

“There’s a certain level of vehemence, it seems to me, that’s directed at me [and] directed at the president,” Holder told ABC. “You know, people talking about taking their country back. … There’s a certain racial component to this for some people. I don’t think this is the thing that is a main driver, but for some there’s a racial animus.”

Holder said the nation is in “a fundamentally better place than we were 50 years ago.”

“We’ve made lots of progress,” he said. “I sit here as the first African-American attorney general, serving the first African-American president of the United States. And that has to show that we have made a great deal of progress.

“But there’s still more we have to travel along this road so we get to the place that is consistent with our founding ideals,” he said.

He also stood by his controversial comments made during Obama’s first year in office, in which he said the U.S. was a “nation of cowards” when it comes to race.

“I wouldn’t walk away from that speech,” Holder said. “I think we are still a nation that is too afraid to confront racial issues,” rarely engaging “one another across the color line [to] talk about racial issues.”

The attorney general also pointed to Republican efforts to enact stricter voter ID laws in southern States as evidence that more needed to be done to protect minority rights. Republicans have maintained the efforts are designed to prevent voter fraud, while Democrats say instances of fraud are exceedingly rare, and far outpaced by the minority population that does not have identification that would be unable to vote.

Holder called the laws “political efforts” designed to make it “more difficult” for “groups that are not supportive of those in power” to “have access to the ballot.”

“Who is disproportionately impacted by them? Young people, African Americans, Hispanics, older people, people who, for whatever reason, aren’t necessarily supportive of the Republican Party,” Holder said, adding that “this notion that there is widespread in-person voter fraud is simply belied by the facts.”

Holder said the Justice Department was planning legal challenges of new voting laws in Ohio and Wisconsin. It has previously filed suit in Texas and North Carolina.

“I’m attorney general of the United States. … I will not allow people to take away that which people gave their lives to give, and that is the ability for the American people to vote,” Holder said.

About this “racial Animus” thing, Mr. Attorney General…nice Glass House you have there.

By the way, you do remember the New Black Panther Party case, don’t you?

During Obama’s first Presidential Election in 2008, it seems like there was a wee bit of “racial animus” going on, but not in the direction you were speaking of on television yesterday.

According to foxnews.com, there was

…an incident at a Philadelphia polling place on Election Day 2008 when three members of the party were accused of trying to threaten voters and block poll and campaign workers by the threat of force — one even brandishing what prosecutors call a deadly weapon.

The three black panthers, Minister King Samir Shabazz, Malik Zulu Shabazz and Jerry Jackson were charged in a civil complaint in the final days of the Bush administration with violating the voter rights act by using coercion, threats and intimidation. Shabazz allegedly held a nightstick or baton that prosecutors said he pointed at people and menacingly tapped it. Prosecutors also say he “supports racially motivated violence against non-blacks and Jews.”

AG Holder, in an article posted on washingtonpost.com, on 1/27/11, Jennifer Rubin summed up what you did and did not do, regarding this example of “racial animus”:

The U.S. Commission on Civil Rights came out in December with a draft of its interim report on the New Black Panthers Party scandal. Earlier today a final report was posted on the commission’s website, and with it, a flurry of rebuttals and separate statements from a number of the commissioners. The import of these statements should not be minimized.

The statements indicate several points: 1) the New Black Panther Party case brought by career Justice Department employees was meritorious on the law and the facts; 2) there is voluminous evidence of the Obama administration’s political interference in the prosecution of the New Black Panther Party case; 3) there is ample evidence that the Obama administration directed Justice Department employees not to bring cases against minority defendants who violated voting rights laws or to enforce a provision requiring that states and localities clean up their voting rolls to prevent fraud; 4) the Justice Department stonewalled efforts to investigate the case; and 5) vice chairman Abigail Thernstrom has, for reasons not entirely clear, ignored the evidence and tried to undermine the commission’s work.

Unfortunately, Attorney General Holder, you’re not the only member of the Administration residing in that Glass House of Liberal Racism.

Back in February of 2007, Vermont Senator Joe Biden described his future boss, contender for the Democrat Presidential Nomination, Barack Hussein Obama, in the following manner…

I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy,” Biden said. “I mean, that’s a storybook, man.

Speaking of our first “Non-Racial President”, remember Obama’s infamous “bitter clinger” statement about rural Americans at an elite fundraiser in San Francisco in 2008?

You go into some of these small towns in Pennsylvania, and like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them. And they fell through the Clinton Administration, and the Bush Administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not. And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.

I have lived in the Memphis Area all of my 55 years. I remember this fellow named Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., whose words set the town on fire…literally.

On August 28, 1963,  Dr. King gave his famous “I Have a Dream” speech, in which he said,

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

On July 18th, 2012, during the heart of  Obama’s Re-election Campaign, Breitbart.com’s John Nolte wrote the following

…By screaming racism (which is what “birther” really means) and claiming perfectly valid criticism of Obama is “dangerous,” this is how the media protects Obama from effective criticism and spins that criticism around into an attack against Republicans.

In 2008, using this partisan tactic, the media was able to intimidate and cow John McCain into submission. In fact, when Sarah Palin started hitting Obama for his relationship with domestic terrorist Bill Ayers, out of whole cloth the media made up the charge that someone at a Palin rally screamed, “Kill him!,” in reference to Obama.

You see, this is how the corrupt media attempts to snuff out criticism Obama can’t weather. If they can’t call the criticism racist they call it dangerous. And if they have to, the media will simply create a narrative based on what they know is a lie.

The corrupt media refuses to vet Obama, because they know that if they did, he would lose. This means that they must also stop Republicans from discussing Obama’s past by any means necessary. And this includes bullying Obama’s critics by declaring their criticism “racist” and “dangerous.”

Today’s Liberals use Racism as both a sword and a shield.

If you attack Obama’s performance as President, or any other Liberal Black Leader’s performance, you’re a RAAACIIIST! 

However, when the subject of removing affirmative action requirements comes up, as it recently did in Michigan, a hue and cry comes up from Liberals, using their cries of “Racism” as a shield against any attempts to remove Uncle Sugar from our day-to-day lives.

While, all the time, as the quotes above show, our “tolerant” Liberal Friends are the most intolerant of all of us.

That is probably why Dr. King was a Republican.

Sarah Palin and the Obsessive Left

Liberals love to brag that they are the most intelligent and the most toleragnet people in any room that they walk into.

That is a bunch of self-conceit and downright baloney.

When a Conservative (the political ideology of majority of Americans) calls them on their overestimation of their intelligence, and humiliates them in public, if you will (as Legendary Professional Wrestler, the American Dream, Dusty Rhodes, used to say), they stalk them, like a hyena stalking a wounded gnu, waiting for the opportunity for revenge.

For example, even though they will stand up and tell you that the Arctic Fox is nothing but a has-been, reality show-starring ‘chillbilly”, they still view her as  a thorn in their Collective Side.

That being said, they are still looking for ways to “get even” with the Former Governor of Alaska…any way they can.

Breitbart.com reports that

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin rejected overtures from True Blood’s producers for a cameo role on the conservative-bashing vampire show. Her instincts proved to be correct after Sunday’s HBO episode in which Republican women were once again demeaned when one of the lead characters said in horror, “Oh my God, I’m a Republi-c*nt.”

Palin told Breitbart News after she heard about the misogynistic episode that she simply wondered, “‘True Blood’ or true gall?”

“The brilliant minds of ‘True Blood’ were brazen enough to ask me to do a cameo on their show, apparently so they could insult a conservative woman in person instead of just all conservative women in general,” Palin told Breitbart News. “Their offer wasn’t presented in any negative way, perhaps to benefit from a surprise factor after the guest appearance. I turned them down anyway.”

Palin also had some choice words for hypocritical Hollywood liberals who often gin up the phony “war on women” rhetoric.

“To producers who throw these deceitfully ‘flattering’ bones that sound fun on the surface, is it really any wonder I don’t accept your offers to participate in your shows?” she said. “Nice try HBO. I’d put any mama grizzly in America against a vampire any day; for only one of them actually exists. The left wants to talk about a ‘war on women’? Keep engaging in your misogynist attacks on women you disagree with and we’ll see who wins your self-inflicted war in the court of decent public opinion.”

On Sunday’s episode, as Breitbart TV explained, two of the characters crashed a Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) fundraiser at the George W. Bush Presidential Library that they said only lets in “a**sholes.” The fundraiser ended up turning into a bloodbath:

While HBO’s Award winning “True Blood” a popular vampire drama has had a long-running narrative with the bad guys cast as southern conservative politicians, last night’s episode took it a step farther, calling Ted Cruz supporters a**holes and offensively referring to conservative woman in eveningware as “republic**ts”

When two of the main characters, vampires Eric Northman and Pam De Beaufort, are planning to crash a fictional fundraiser for Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) held at the George W. Bush Presidential Center in Dallas they are warned

“They only let in a**holes.”

While dressing for the event in cowboy hats and Western evening attire Pam De Beaufort says “Oh my God I’m a republic**t”

And finally De Beaufort enters the gala proclaiming “Of all the horrible things I’ve seen in the last hundred years this could be the most disturbing.”

If Hollywood Liberals are trying to defeat Conservatives like Senator Ted Cruz and Sarah Palin, in a battle of wits…they are woefully unarmed.

Back in July of 2009, Alaskan Fisherman, Dewey Whetsell, wrote the following list of Sarah Palin’s accomplishments as Governor of Alaska:

1. Democrats forget when Palin was the Darling of the Democrats, because as soon as Palin took the Governor’s office away from a fellow Republican and tough SOB, Frank Murkowski, she tore into the Republican’s “Corrupt Bastards Club” (CBC) and sent them packing. Many of them are now residing in State housing and wearing orange jump suits The Democratsreacted by skipping around the yard, throwing confetti and singing, “la la la la” (well, you know how they are). Name another governor in this country that has ever done anything similar.

2. Now with the CBC gone, there were fewer Alaskan politicians to protect the huge, giant oil companies here. So she constructed and enacted a new system of splitting the oil profits called “ACES.” Exxon (the biggest corporation in the world) protested and Sarah told them, “don’t let the door hit you in the stern on your way out.” They stayed, and Alaska residents went from being merely wealthy to being filthy rich. Of course, the other huge international oil companies meekly fell in line. Again, give me the name of any other governor in the country that has done anything similar.

3. The other thing she did when she walked into the governor’s office is she got the list of State requests for federal funding for projects, known as “pork.” She went through the list, took 85% of them and placed them in the “when-hell-freezes-over” stack. She let locals know that if we need something built, we’ll pay for it ourselves. Maybe she figured she could use the money she got from selling the previous governor’s jet because it was extravagant.

Maybe she could use the money she saved by dismissing the governor’s cook (remarking that she could cook for her own family), giving back the State vehicle issued to her, maintaining that she already had a car, and dismissing her State provided security force (never mentioning – I imagine – that she’s packing heat herself). I’m still waiting to hear the names of those other governors.

4. Now, even with her much-ridiculed “gosh and golly” mannerism, she also managed to put together a totally new approach to getting a natural gas pipeline built which will be the biggest private construction project in the history of North America. No one else could do it although they tried. If that doesn’t impress you, then you’re trying too hard to be unimpressed while watching her do things like this while baking up a batch of brownies with her other hand.

5. For 30 years, Exxon held a lease to do exploratory drilling at a place called Point Thompson. They made excuses the entire time why they couldn’t start drilling. In truth they were holding it like an investment. No governor for 30 years could make them get started. Then, she told them she was revoking their lease and kicking them out. They protested and threatened court action. She shrugged and reminded them that she knew the way to the court house. Alaska won again.

6. President Obama wants the nation to be on 25% renewable resources for electricity by 2025. Sarah went to the legislature and submitted her plan for Alaska to be at 50% renewable by 2025. We are already at 25%. I can give you more specifics about things done, as opposed to style and persona Everybody wants to be cool, sound cool, look cool. But that’s just a cover-up. I’m still waiting to hear from liberals the names of other governors who can match what mine has done in two and a half years. I won’t be holding my breath.

By the way, she was content to return to AK after the national election and go to work, but the haters wouldn’t let her. Now these adolescent screechers are obviously not scuba divers. And no one ever told them what happens when you continually jab and pester a barracuda. Without warning, it will spin around and tear your face off. Shoulda known better.

Of course, her influence and status as “kingmaker” has become the stuff of legend.

Of the 41 candidates Palin endorsed in 2009,2010, and 2012, 30 of them earned victories.  

In 2012, she endorsed the following winners: Rand Paul, Marco Rubio, Tim Scott, Pat Toomey, Nikki Haley, Deb Fischer, Jeff Flake and Ted Cruz.

Not too shabby, huh?

Of course, Liberals will continue to ignore the accomplishments of Conservatives like Sarah Palin…it spoils the lies they tell about her, in order to feel better about themselves.

Liberals have to keep targeting America’s Conservative Leaders as we approach the 2014 and 2016 Elections.

After all, what are they going to do? Run on Obama’s Record of Accomplishments?

Lindsey Graham Joins Fellow Liberals in Proclaiming Illegal Alien Invasion “A Humanitarian Issue.” THEIR “Compassion”…OUR Money.

illegalimmigrant VAEver since June 2nd, when Obama and his Administration started calling this present Illegal Immigrant Invasion “a Humanitarian Issue”, every Liberal on the Internet has droned on incessantly, claiming “compassion” as the reason that Conservatives should hop on the bandwagon and support this flood of lawbreakers coming across our Southern Border.

It’s bad enough that Liberal Democrats are supporting Obama in this matter, but now, one of the leading Senate Republicans is “reaching across the aisle” to slap Conservatives in the face…again.

Tens of thousands of people flocking to the U.S. border from Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador have stirred anger into the boiling immigration debate, but U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham said Sunday that the crisis confronting federal, state and local governments is not an immigration issue.

“It’s a humanitarian problem, but it’s apart from immigration reform. This is a specific problem created by an impression that if you get to America, you can stay,” Graham said on CBS’s “Face the Nation.”

“We’ve got to turn that impression around, send these children back to their homelands, tell the countries in question if you don’t keep them and take care of them, we’re going to cut all aid,” said Graham, a Republican from Seneca.

Nevertheless, the growing wave of humanity, including more than 52,000 unaccompanied children detained since October, has ignited protests against undocumented immigrants, including one in Murrieta, Calif., that blocked buses bound for a Border Patrol processing center. The buses carried women and children who had been flown to California from the overwhelmed border state of Texas.

The protests brought out counter-demonstrators, resulting in dueling messages reflected on signs and banners such as “Proud LEGAL American. It doesn’t work any other way,” and “Against Illegal Immigration? Great! Go back to Europe!” The Associated Press reported.

President Barack Obama has said that one reason for the increasing numbers of unaccompanied children coming up from Central America is a 2008 law that makes it almost impossible to return them until they appear before an immigration judge. The law, signed by President George W. Bush, added legal protections for such children with the intention of preventing immigration officials from unknowingly sending them back to pimps and drug violence, The Los Angeles Times reported.

Obama last week asked Congress to change the law to make it easier to send them home, thereby speeding up the process of reducing the numbers.

The president also has asked Congress for funding to open up detention centers across the country to provide humane conditions and “make sure that the basic humanitarian needs of those individuals are provided for,” White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said last week. Obama has pointed out the peril for children traveling from Central America to the U.S. border.

“The journey is unbelievably dangerous for these kids,” Obama said. “The children who are fortunate enough to survive it will be taken care of while they go through the legal process, but in most cases that process will lead to them being sent back home.”

Graham expressed similar sentiments on Sunday.

“We’ll have to send them back,” he said, “because if you don’t, you’re going to incentivize people in that part of the world to keep sending their children here. About a third of the little girls are raped, in the process of getting here.”

Although Graham considers the current crisis a humanitarian one, he could not avoid questions about stalled immigration bills in Congress, particularly the need for a tighter seal along the border. He said there is plenty of border security in a broad, bipartisan immigration bill he helped get passed in the Senate and also in individual bills proposed by Republicans in the House of Representatives.

Just about every lawmaker says the immigration system needs fixing, and Graham has said repeatedly that Republicans have the most to lose on the national political stage if nothing gets done.

Yes, all the Liberals, including Obama, want to “get something done”…WITH OUR MONEY.

Let’s pretend I broke into your house. When you discover me there, you insist I leave. But I say, “I’ve made all the beds, washed the dishes, did the laundry, and cleaned the floors; I’ve done all the work you don’t like to do. I’m hardworking and honest (except for breaking into your house). Not only must you let me stay, you must also add me to your insurance plan, educate my kids, and provide these benefits to my husband, too (he will do your yardwork, he’s honest and hardworking too–except for that breaking in part). If you try to force me out, I will call my friends who will picket your house and proclaim my right to be there! It’s only fair, because you have a nicer house than I do, and I’m trying to better myself. I’m hardworking and honest…except for, well, you know. I will live in your house, contributing only a fraction of the cost of my keep, and there is nothing you can do about it without being accused of selfishness and prejudice.

Oh yeah, I want you to learn my language so you can communicate with me.

Is this a behavior we should be rewarding?

The wonderful thing about America is that people are free to give their money to the charity they choose, religious or secular.

The problem is the fact that Liberals want to give OTHER PEOPLE’S MONEY to the “Humanitarian Issue” THEY CHOOSE.

Liberals love to” talk the talk”. However, when it comes to charitable giving, they are very reticent to “walk the walk”.

Back in 2008, Dr. Richard Land of the Southern Baptist Convention, posted the following on beliefnet.com…

In his book, Who Really Cares: The Surprising Truth About Compassionate Conservativism (Basic Books, 2006), Brooks discovered that approximately equal percentages of liberals and conservatives give to private charitable causes. However, conservatives gave about 30 percent more money per year to private charitable causes, even though his study found liberal families earned an average of 6 percent more per year in income than did conservative families. This greater generosity among conservative families proved to be true in Brooks’ research for every income group, “from poor to middle class to rich.”

This “giving gap” also extended beyond money to time donated to charitable causes, as well. Brooks also discovered that in 2002, conservative Americans were much more likely to donate blood each year than liberals and to do so more often within a year. Brooks found “if liberals and moderates gave blood at the same rate as conservatives, the blood supply in the United States would jump by about 45 percent.”

When Brooks compared his findings to IRS data on the percentage of household income given away, he found that “red” states in the 2004 election were more charitable than “blue” states. Brooks found that 24 of the 25 states that were above average in family charitable giving voted for Bush in 2004, and 17 of the 25 states below average in giving voted for Kerry. Brooks concluded, “The electoral map and the charity map are remarkably similar.”

Why? A clue may be found in the 1996 General Social Survey, which asked Americans whether they agreed that “the government has a responsibility to reduce income inequality.” People who “disagreed strongly” with that statement gave 12 times more money to charity per year than those who “agreed strongly” with the statement.

One’s values, beliefs and political philosophies seem to impact how much one shares of one’s own income with the less fortunate in society. Facts are often surprising and illuminating.

Over the Holiday Weekend, it was announced that 200,000 of this new wave of Illegal Immigrants were sent to the “homes of relatives” all over America.

Who is going to provide for them?

Illegals who are already reaping “Government Benefits”, from a government which they have not even sworn their loyalty to?

Hardly.

“Baracky Claus”, under the kindness of his heart will be providing for them…WITH OUR MONEY.

The Illegal Alien Invasion: “…That I Will Support and Defend the Constitution of the United States of America…”

illegal immigration 3As our country was celebrating our independence from a tyrannical oppressor yesterday, our sovereignty was still being threatened by an invasion of unaccompanied minors, illegal aliens who have been streaming across our Southern Border, from Mexico, Central America, and South America, bringing with them disease, gang members, and possible enemies of our country, traveling in disguise.

Unfortunately, it appears that the enemies of our sovereign nation, are already here.

Breitbart News reported yesterday that

Opponents of illegal immigration had gathered in Murrieta to stop Friday’s planned transfer of Central American illegal aliens, as they did earlier this week. A pro-amnesty counter-demonstration was organized in response.

The illegal aliens, many of them unaccompanied children, are being brought from overcrowded Texas detention facilities for processing in California.

In addition, Breitbart News obtained photographs of torn-up flags that pro-amnesty demonstrators had impaled on a fence.

Bonnie Lewis, an anti-immigration activist, told Breitbart News that she saw one of the pro-amnesty activists dragging an American flag on the ground.

“I said: ‘Hey, don’t do that.’ He said: ‘That’s where it belongs,'” she said.

Another anti-illegal immigration activist said that pro-amnesty demonstrators called her a “f***ing whore” i Spanish, and shouted, “F*** America!”

Yesterday, President Barack Hussein Obama continued to push amnesty for illegal aliens at a naturalization ceremony for immigrants who wish to earn their US Citizenship by serving in our military, the desire of just 8 % of the illegal alien population who have “broken in” to to our Sovereign Nation. During the ceremony, Obama said,

Together, all of you remind us that America is and always has been a nation of immigrants. Throughout our history, immigrants have come to our shores in wave after wave, from every corner of the globe. Every one of us –- unless we’re Native American –- has an ancestor who was born somewhere else.

And even though we haven’t always looked the same or spoken the same language, as Americans, we’ve done big things together. We’ve won this country’s freedom together. We’ve built our greatest cities together. We’ve defended our way of life together. We’ve continued to perfect our union together.

And that’s what makes America special. That’s what makes us strong. The basic idea of welcoming immigrants to our shores is central to our way of life, it is in our DNA. We believe our diversity, our differences, when joined together by a common set of ideals, makes us stronger, makes us more creative, makes us different. From all these different strands, we make something new here in America. And that’s why, if we want to keep attracting the best and brightest from beyond our borders, we’re going to have to fix our immigration system, which is broken, and pass commonsense immigration reform.

We shouldn’t be making it harder for the best and the brightest to come here, and create jobs here, and grow our economy here. We should be making it easier. And that’s why I’m going to keep doing —

…So I’m going to keep doing everything I can do to keep making our immigration system smarter and more efficient so hardworking men and women like all of you have the opportunity to join the American family and to serve our great nation. So we can be stronger and more prosperous and more whole –- together.

Today, on this Fourth of July, all across the country –- from Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello to the Alamodome in Texas — immigrants from around the world are taking the oath of citizenship. And many of them have worked and sacrificed for years to get to this moment. All of them have done it for something none of us should ever take for granted: the right to be called an American, from this moment, and forever after.

And that fact should give us hope and should make us confident about the future of our country. Because as long as there are men and women like all of you who are willing to give so much for the right to call yourselves Americans, and as long as we do our part to keep the door open to those who are willing to earn their citizenship, then we’re going to keep on growing our economy, we’ll continue to journey forward, and we’ll remind the world of why the United States of America is and always will be the greatest nation on Earth. We’re very proud of you. Congratulations.

For once in his radical life, Obama got something right. American Citizenship is not something to be taken lightly. It is something that must be earned…legally.

I know that you have heard America referred to as a Melting Pot.

That phrase was actually made popular in the 1908 play, “The Melting Pot,” a stage play by Israel Zangwill that encouraged assimilation into our nation’s culture by the immigrants of the time.

Zangwill was the London-born son of Russian Jewish immigrants. His play made its debut in Washington in 1908 and played in New York for four months the next year. The main character is David Quixano, a Jewish immigrant, orphaned by a pogram, which is a massacre of Jews. Quizano lives with his uncle on Staten Island and becomes smitten with the daughter of a Russian nobleman.

In the end, the good guy(David) gets the girl, which inspires him to shout from the rooftop of a Lower East Side settlement house that “America is God’s crucible” and to proclaim: “What is the glory of Rome and Jerusalem where all nations and races come to worship and look back, compared with the glory of America, where all races and nations come to labor and look forward!”

What Obama and the Pro-Amnesty Supporters in Washington, the Main Stream Media, and throughout the country  fail to realize, is that you can’t buy loyalty to a nation.

The British found that out with their hired German Mercenaries, the Hessians, during the Revolutionary War.

In their self-absorbed Political Greed, America’s professional politicians are setting the stage for the possible fall of our nation.

Legal Immigrants earned their citizenship. They showed that they were willing to become a part of the Great American Melting Pot (from the Schoolhouse Rock video of the same name).

They demonstrated that, as the US Citizen and Immigration services states, that they were willing to

Support the Constitution;
Renounce and abjure absolutely and entirely all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty of whom or which the applicant was before a subject or citizen;
Support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic;
Bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and
A. Bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by the law; or
B. Perform noncombatant service in the Armed Forces of the United States when required by the law; or
C. Perform work of national importance under civilian direction when required by the law.

Additionally, these legal immigrants also took the following oath:

I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty, of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen; that I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I will bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform noncombatant service in the Armed Forces of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform work of national importance under civilian direction when required by the law; and that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; so help me God.

Illegal Immigrants do not respect the laws of our land, to begin with. Why would that change, if they were given the rights of citizenship?

Obama is right. Being an American is not a matter of birthplace. And, he ought to know. (I kid. I kid.)

It’s a matter of loyalty.

American Christianity and the Illegal Alien Invasion: What is My Christian Duty?

illegal immigration 3PROLOGUE: I got into a “discussion” on a Facebook Page with several Liberal “friends”, concerning the current invasion of illegal aliens happening at our Southern Border. They jumped on me, giving me instructions as to how I should think and act, due to my unashamed pronouncement of my Christian Faith. While answering them back as best as I could at the time, I felt that they deserved a more complete answer, so that I would not be misunderstood.

So, hold on to something. Here we go.

Romans 13:1-7 This Biblical passage leaves no doubt  that God expects us to obey the laws of the government. The only exception to this is when a law of the government is in opposition to one of God’s commands (Acts 5:29).

The current invasion of underage Latin American Minors, bein transported up to our southern Border by the Drug Cartels is an example of Roman 13: 1-7.

Illegal immigration is the breaking of a governmental law. There is no scripture in the Holy Bible that contradicts a nation having immigration laws. Therefore, it is a sin, rebellion against God, to illegally enter into another country.

Illegal immigration is definitely a controversial issue, not only in the United States, but in European countries, as well, as they are being invaded by Muslims who are setting up Sharia Law in countries such as the United Kingdom, Sweden, and Denmark.

The fact of the matter is, Romans 13:1-7 does not give any Christian permission to violate a law just because it is unjust. Again, the issue is not the fairness of a law.

Judge Roy Stewart Moore (born February 11, 1947) is an American judge and Republican politician and the former Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court. He is noted for his prior refusal, in 2003, as Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court, to remove a monument of the Ten Commandments from the Alabama Judicial Building despite orders to do so from a federal judge. On November 13, 2003, the Alabama Court of the Judiciary unanimously removed Moore from his post as Chief Justice.

On November 6, 2012, Moore won election back to the office of Alabama Chief Justice, defeating replacement Democratic candidate Bob Vance.

The following is an Opinion Piece he has written, which is as good a one on the subject of this blog, as I have read.

Immigration and Christian Duty 

Just last week a reporter covering the annual meeting of the Southern Baptist Convention asked me about the debate in the Christian community over the treatment of illegal immigrants: should we demonstrate Christian love and concern for their salvation or should we oppose amnesty legislation and enforce the immigration laws? The answer is yes: we can and should do both. America is a nation of immigrants. From the beginning, people have come here for freedom and prosperity. As early as 1783, George Washington wisely explained the privileges and duties of those seeking to become citizens of our Country: The bosom of America is open to receive not only the Opulent and respectable Stranger, but the oppressed and persecuted of all Nations and Religions; whom we shall welcome to a participation of all our rights and privileges, if by decency and propriety of conduct they appear to merit the enjoyment.

…The Statue of Liberty still beckons from the New York Harbor, “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free.” We should never turn our backs to those who show by their “decency and propriety of conduct” that they deserve to live here as an American citizen. But as Washington explained, citizenship entails not only the rights and privileges which flow from it, but also the duties and responsibilities which entitle an individual to its enjoyment.

Immigration is the legal means by which one becomes a citizen of the United States. It has historically required an application process for citizenship, including a test, an investigation, and an oath of allegiance to our Country and Constitution. To call those illegally residing here “immigrants” is an insult to those who have demonstrated the patience, responsibility, and fortitude to immigrate here legally.

When a person – from any country – enters our Country illegally, makes no application for citizenship, does not learn our language, does not care for our customs, and seeks only the benefits of living in America, they have not “immigrated” here at all. They are not “immigrants,” but rather, “illegal aliens.” Recent “May Day” demonstrations by illegal aliens that feature Mexican flags, anti-American slogans, and racist statements against “gringos” only confirm the intentions of many illegal aliens to not assimilate into our culture and way of life, but to displace it with their own. Their lack of “decency and propriety of conduct” show they neither desire nor deserve to be legal citizens.

…Unfortunately, too many Christians have been deceived to think that our duty to love and care for illegal aliens means that we should ignore immigration laws and disregard our borders. But as President Ronald Reagan once said, “A nation without borders is not a nation.” Our borders are compromised by illegal immigration, infiltration of terrorists, and by government policies of regional partnership that actually dilute the sovereignty of the United States. The choice is not between our Christian duty and our border laws,  it’s a matter of life or death for our nation. The same God who commands that we treat aliens and “strangers” with righteousness and justice also clearly defined the physical borders for the nation of Israel, in detailed geographical terms, in Numbers 34. Israel, then and today, would not exist without borders?and neither will America. We should love and care for “the stranger among us” and always be mindful of their need for salvation. But we also have a duty to apply all laws equally and fairly without regard to race, creed, color, or national origin. Our immigration laws must be strictly and justly enforced. It’s not only a matter of national survival. It’s our Christian duty. 

The vast majority of illegal immigrants in the United States have come for the purpose of having a better life, providing for their families, and escaping from poverty. These are good goals and motivations. However, it is not biblical to violate a law to achieve something “good.” Caring for the poor, orphans, and widows is something the Bible commands us to do (Galatians 2:10; James 1:27; 2:2-15). However, the biblical fact that we are to care for the misfortune does not mean we should violate the law in doing so. Supporting, enabling, and/or encouraging illegal immigration is, therefore, also a violation of God’s Word. Those seeking to immigrate to another country should always obey the immigration laws of that country. While this may cause delays and frustrations, these reasons do not give a person the right to violate a law.

So, what is the biblical solution to illegal immigration? Simple…don’t do it; obey the laws.

Liberals tend to attempt to set the boundaries and to change the teachings of Jesus Christ to fit with their “political collective” mindset. The turning of a political situation, such as “The Mexican Munchkin Migration”, into a “humanitarian catastrophe” is just the most recent example.

Their claim concerning salvation is framed in similar terms. Liberals, including President Barack Hussein Obama, put forth the opinion that Salvation is a group experience, , likening it to a political movement, which could not be further from the truth, couching their political ideology-driven benevolence behind the term “Social Justice”.

I do not believe that Jesus would be a part of the social justice movement. His was and is a soul-saving movement. One that still brings hundreds of thousand of people to salvation on this terrestrial ball every day. A movement that, in fact, was embraced by the Founders of this cherished land.

It is interesting to me, that the “most caring people in the room”, whom, under normal circumstances, want Conservative American Christians to sit down, shuddup, and limit their faith to Sunday mornings from 10 a.m. – Noon, now are lecturing us about how we should support their fallen messiah’s “Illegal Immigrant Initiative”.

I will wrap up this post by quoting  Dr. Albert Mohler, President of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary:

Regrettably, there is no shortage of preachers who have traded the Gospel for a platform of political and economic change, most often packaged as a call for social justice…

The church is not to adopt a social reform platform as its message, but the faithful church, wherever it is found, is itself a social reform movement precisely because it is populated by redeemed sinners who are called to faithfulness in following Christ. The Gospel is not a message of social (collective) salvation, but it does have social implications.

Down Goes Cantor!: Aftershocks

Yesterday, the Media, Old and New, was abuzz over the unprecedented loss by House Majority Leader, Eric Canter, in the Republican Primary in the state of Virginia.

From the whining heard from the leaders of both political parties, you would have thought that something criminal had occurred.

And then…all the theories and conjecture started.

Both the Liberals and the Vichy Republicans (but, I repeat myself) began to “Palinize” Economics Professor Dave Brat, six ways from Sunday, showing the entire country that they were scared spitless by his unforeseen victory over the Majority Leader.

All of the tall tales told yesterday would mike a fisherman blush.

For example, Liberals were claiming that Cantor’s Loss was a vote against Jewish Politicians.

Bull. It was a vote against a RINO….a politician who had forgotten who put him in office.

As Rush Limbaugh explained yesterday,

…folks, when it comes to the Cantor election, I’m not gonna sit here and arrogantly tell you that I know why it happened.

Like everybody else, I have some pretty good educated guesses. But I’ll tell you what I do know. I do know that congressman Cantor had ceased to be perceived as having his own district in mind as he did things. He clearly had become an agent of the inside-the-Beltway establishment, and I’m telling you: The divide, the gap, the distance between the elite establishment and average Americans has never been greater.

And Congressman Cantor was seen as part of that very small yet powerful group of elites in the establishment to whom what happens in the rest of the country is not even known, nor is there much concern for it. You know, this border business. As I say, if they were serious about securing the border, if they really thought that that’s all they had to do to get support for amnesty, then they’d be out there doing it.

They’d be stopping these kids, however this is happening. But, no! We’re letting ’em in, we’re depositing them in military bases, in bus stations. The next thing to come is their parents. People can figure this out. I think it’s no more complicated than this: People have less and less respect for and use for Washington, the whole thing. Republicans, Democrats, the administration, the administrative state, the regulatory state, the bureaucracy, the FDA, the IRS, all of this.

People are fed up. They’re fed up with lobbyists. They’re fed up with the Chamber of Commerce. They’re fed up with all these media pundit celebrities who also don’t know what they’re talking about, who have no idea what life is really like for most people in this country and don’t seem to really care. That’s what people are fed up with.

Senator Ted Cruz broke it down even farther on Glenn Beck’s Program yesterday…

Last night was a stunning election result. The results of last night are reverberating throughout the Capitol and throughout the Congress,” Cruz said. “Eric Cantor is a good man, a smart, capable man, but people across the country are fed up with what’s happening in Washington. And they are fed up with the federal government growing and growing and growing, with our national debt getting bigger and bigger and bigger, and with politicians of both parties not listening to the people who elected them.”

While Democrats in Congress and the mainstream media are already trying to paint Brat as an extremist, right-wing Tea Party-type, Glenn asked Cruz how much an upset like this effects the psyche of those in D.C.

“How scared are these guys,” Glenn asked.

“Washington, D.C. didn’t want to listen. The fight to make D.C. listen is not an easy fight. There’s a reason people job are in power 20, 30 years. They hold on to power, use a lot of money, and they use the entrenched force to try to hold onto it,” Cruz said. “But I’ll tell you things like last night get their attention. Things like the Mississippi Senate race get their attention.”

“I’ve said many times… I think the biggest divide we have in this country is not between Republicans and Democrats. It is between entrenched politicians in Washington, in both parties and the American people,” Cruz explained. “We’ve got to get the people to rise up and demand that we get back to basic common sense principle, that we get back to living within our means, not bankrupting the country, following the Constitution, restoring America’s leadership in the world. These are basic principles of who we are.”

“Will Washington demagogue anyone standing up for that and call them an extremist? Yes, that’s what Washington does,” he continued. “Who cares? We need to focus on energizing and mobilizing the American people to bring our nation back to the first principles of liberty and the Constitution that have made America strong in the first place.”

Democrats, Liberals, Progressives, Establishment Republicans, Moderates, all of these out-of-touch imbeciles, are having a problem: They are stuck in a reverse-Midas situation. Everything they touch turns into garbage.

The president’s poll numbers are in a free-fall, as his Smart Power! Foreign Policy, which led to the release of 5 murderous Muslim Terrorists for one deserting traitor, appears to the public to have all of the well-thought out logistics of a Three Stooges short. …as al Qaeda takes back over Iraq. (Hey, Moe! Nyuk, nyuk!)

Meanwhile, his domestic policies have resulted in 1/6th of Americans being on Food Stamps and a horrible employment situation, as Americans watch the Mexican Munchkin Migration continuesto overwhelm our Government Agencies, as they suspiciously pour across our Southern Borders.

So, as their political reality begins to collapse around them, all “the smartest people in the room from the Halls of Power, on down to Internet Chat Boards,  have left are ad hominem attacks, or, name-calling.

Like the bully on the playground, whose false bravado masks a deeply-set insecurity, all of these “soooper geniuses” (with apologies to Wile E. Coyote) spent yesterday lashing out at Dave Brat,  the Tea Party Movement, and the rest of Conservatives, in an attempt to protect their phony-baloney jobs, their acquired power, their failed political ideology, and the status quo. All of their carefully crafted schemes and long-term plans are turning to ash in their hands, as Christopher Lee did at the end of  the classic Hammer Films Production,  “The Horror of Dracula”.

On July 16, 1964, American Senator Barry Goldwater said the following during his speech accepting the Republican presidential nomination:

Extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice. And…moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue!

And, if you go further back in American History, I suppose that these namby-pamby passive-aggressive Progressives would have labeled our Founding Fathers as Extremists, also. Lord knows, they said some pretty Extreme things. Like Patrick Henry, who said:

Is life so dear or peace so sweet as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it, Almighty God! I know not what course others may take, but as for me, give me liberty, or give me death!

Is wanting a fiscally responsible Federal Government an act of Extremism? No. Therefore:

Brace yourselves for an Electoral Tsunami This November.

Down Goes Cantor! Hey, Vichy Republicans…Can You Hear Us Now?

conservative1Last night, a history-making event happened in the Commonwealth of Virginia: a sitting House Majority Leader failed to win their State Primary Election.

Establishment “Moderate” Republican, Eric Cantor, got fired by his Bosses…the Republican Conservative Base.

Foxnews.com reports that…

In a stunning upset, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor lost the GOP Virginia primary Tuesday night to Dave Brat, an economics professor and political novice.

The Associated Press called the race for Cantor about an hour after polls closed at 7 p.m. ET.

Cantor is the second-most powerful member of the U.S. House and was widely seen as the next in line to succeed House Speaker John Boehner.

Cantor’s loss to a political novice with little money marks a huge victory for the Tea Party movement, which supported Cantor just a few years ago.

Brat had been a thorn in Cantor’s side on the campaign, casting the congressman as a Washington insider who isn’t conservative enough. His message apparently scored well with voters in the 7th District.

“There needs to be a change,” said Joe Mullins, who voted in Chesterfield County Tuesday. The engineering company employee said he has friends who tried to arrange town hall meetings with Cantor, who declined their invitations.

Tiffs between the GOP’s establishment and Tea Party factions have flared in Virginia since Tea Party favorite Ken Cuccinelli lost last year’s gubernatorial race. Cantor supporters have met with stiff resistance in trying to wrest control of the state party away from Tea party enthusiasts, including in the Cantor’s home district.

Brat teaches at Randolph-Macon College, a small liberal arts school north of Richmond. He raised just more than $200,000 for his campaign, according to the most recent campaign finance reports.

Beltway-based groups also spent heavily in the race. The American Chemistry Council, whose members include many blue chip companies, spent more than $300,000 on TV ads promoting Cantor. It’s the group’s only independent expenditure so far this election year. Political arms of the American College of Radiology, the National Rifle Association and the National Association of Realtors had five-figure independent spending to promote Cantor.

Brat offset the cash disadvantage with endorsements from conservative activists like radio host Laura Ingraham, and with help from local Tea Party activists angry at Cantor.

Much of the campaign centered on immigration, where critics on both sides have recently taken aim at Cantor.

Brat has accused the House majority leader of being a top cheerleader for “amnesty” for immigrants in the U.S. illegally. Cantor has responded forcefully by boasting in mailers of blocking Senate plans “to give illegal aliens amnesty.”

It was a change in tone for Cantor, who has repeatedly voiced support for giving citizenship to certain immigrants brought illegally to the country as children. Cantor and House GOP leaders have advocated a step-by-step approach rather than the comprehensive bill backed by the Senate. They’ve made no move to bring legislation to a vote and appear increasingly unlikely to act this year.

Cantor, a former state legislator, was elected to Congress in 2000. He became majority leader in 2011.

So, now, for the next several days, there will be wailing, crying and the gnashing of teeth in the Hallways of Power, up in DC, among the GOP Elite and the Democrats alike.

In a blog I wrote titled ” The Failed GOP Strategy of Passive Resistance”, posted on 1/29/2013, I warned the GOP Establishment that

If these Vichy Republicans do not “man up” soon and start “‘resisting” the plans of Obama and his minions to turn the “Shining City on the Hill” into a Third World Barrio, they are going to find themselves out of a job after a Mid-Term Election in 2014,  that will make the political bloodbath of 2012 seem like a squirt gun fight.

Do not forget, GOP: You serve at OUR pleasure. Not yours.

So, Eric Cantor chose, like the rest of the so-called “GOP Moderates”, to push for Amnesty for all of those who have entered and are entering our Sovereign Nation’s Southern Borders illegally, including those involved in the current Mexican Munchkin Migration.

Who will be the next member of the GOP Establishment to lose their cushy job?

I would say that it will probably be Senator Thad Cochran, down here in Mississippi, who has been forced into a run-off with TEA Party Firebrand Chris McDaniels, who finished in a statistical tie, with the 40-year incumbent.

Just as was the case with the Virginia Primary, the GOP Establishment has opened their purses to bankroll Cochran’s re-election effort, issuing attack ads and fluff pieces, attempting to convince voters of Cochran’s “Conservative Bona Fides.”

Unfortunately for them, their efforts have not worked.

This new “Shot Heard Around the World” last night signaled a great awakening. America’s Political Pendulum is, once again, swinging to the Right.

Americans are watching in disgust as a United States President is intentionally harming our country, while he and his fellow travelers, Professional Progressive Politicians on both sides of the aisle, thumb their noses at the wishes of the overwhelming majority of American Citizens…the people who elected them to their cushy jobs in the first place: THEIR BOSSES.

Average Americans want common sense Conservative American Leadership.

LEADERS WHO WILL REPRESENT THEM…not themselves.

Leaders who will stand up to our Petulant Prevaricating President.

Americans want someone who can speak like this:

I don’t believe the people I’ve met in almost every State of this Union are ready to consign this, the last island of freedom, to the dust bin of history, along with the bones of dead civilizations of the past. Call it mysticism, if you will, but I believe God had a divine purpose in placing this land between the two great oceans to be found by those who had a special love of freedom and the courage to leave the countries of their birth. From our forefathers to our modern-day immigrants, we’ve come from every corner of the earth, from every race and every ethnic background, and we’ve become a new breed in the world. We’re Americans and we have a rendezvous with destiny. We spread across this land, building farms and towns and cities, and we did it without any federal land planning program or urban renewal.

Indeed, we gave birth to an entirely new concept in man’s relation to man. We created government as our servant, beholden to us and possessing no powers except those voluntarily granted to it by us. Now a self-anointed elite in our nation’s capital would have us believe we are incapable of guiding our own destiny. They practice government by mystery, telling us it’s too complex for our understanding. Believing this, they assume we might panic if we were to be told the truth about our problems.

Why should we become frightened? No people who have ever lived on this earth have fought harder, paid a higher price for freedom, or done more to advance the dignity of man than the living Americans the Americans living in this land today. There isn’t any problem we can’t solve if government will give us the facts. Tell us what needs to be done. Then, get out of the way and let us have at it.

That was Ronald Wilson Reagan, the greatest American President in my lifetime, a man who brought us together, instead of pitting us against each other….a man who stood up to tyranny, instead of embracing it…a man who fought for the rights of the unborn…instead of declaring them “a punishment”…A LEADER…NOT A FOLLOWER

Until the good ol’ boys in the Northeast Republicans’ Club, or Vichy Republicans, as I like to call them, realize that the majority of Americans out here in the Heartland are still Conservative “bitter clingers” who love God and country, they will be victims of their own hubris, and continue to lose elections.

And, it will be nobody’s fault but their own.

The Intolerant American Left: Why is it Okay For Liberals to Be Racist?

Henri BrooksAs I have related before, I was born at St. Joseph Hospital in Memphis, TN, some 55 years ago.

I’ve been witness to a lot of crazy stuff, as I have watched my beloved hometown degenerate from being an annual City Beautiful Award Winner to Detroit South.

From my vantage point, safely across Stateline Road in Northwest Mississippi, I watched this jaw-dropping moment of  Liberal hypocrisy occur in the weekly Shelby County (TN) Commissioners Meeting last Monday, as reported by WREG-TV Channel 3:

Shelby County Commissioner Henri Books is at the center of a firestorm again over comments she made comparing Hispanics to African Americans.

The discussion took place during Monday’s county commission meeting and was about whether a roofing company was discriminating against blacks because the majority of its employees are Hispanic.

Pablo Pereya with the Hispanic Republic Alliance was at the meeting to discuss something else, but took the opportunity to speak up when he heard this debate.

“I see you guys smirking and laughing, like I’m not a minority,” Pereya said, addressing the commissioners. “I know what it’s like to be a minority. I grew up in Memphis, and I can tell you being a Hispanic in Memphis is definitely the minority of the minority.”

Commissioner Brooks fired back at Pereya, saying the struggles of Hispanics and African Americans are not the same in this country.

“Don’t ever let that come out of your mouth again, because you know what? That only hurts your case,” she told Pereya. “Don’t compare the two. They’re not comparable.”

Pereya spoke with WREG about the meeting, “I was really shocked that that type of terminology was coming from a community leader.”

Comparing Hispanics to African Americans, Brooks also told Pereya, “You asked to come here. You asked to come here. We did not.”

Later, Brooks called out her fellow commissioner Chris Thomas for disagreeing with her.

Thomas, for one, said he believes those comments were racist and disrespectful.

“Excuse me you over there mouthing something…” she said across the room to Thomas. “You with the sheet, the white sheet on?”

“I took that as her saying I’m part of the KKK just because I disagreed with something she said,” Thomas told WREG.

On the phone Brooks told WREG Thomas is grandstanding, and that she said what she meant at the meeting.

She also said she considers this to be old news and she is done talking about it.

Brooks is known for questioning black participation in any Shelby County project.

She also is well known for her time as a state representative when she would refuse to recite the pledge of allegiance.

Pereya said while he is disheartened by Brooks comments, be believes most would disagree with her.

“She may have her perspectives, but that is not what the majority of our community believes.”

Boys and Girls, Commissioner Brooks is not the first Liberal to utter a RAACIIIST Remark…nor shall she be the last.

Back in February of 2007, Vermont Senator Joe Biden described his future boss, contender for the Democrat Presidential Nomination, Barack Hussein Obama, in the following manner…

I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy,” Biden said. “I mean, that’s a storybook, man.

Speaking of our first “Non-Racial President”, remember Obama’s infamous “bitter clinger” statement about rural Americans at an elite fundraiser in San Francisco in 2008?

You go into some of these small towns in Pennsylvania, and like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them. And they fell through the Clinton Administration, and the Bush Administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not. And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.

As I wrote earlier, I have lived in the Memphis Area for a long time. I remember this fellow named Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., whose words set the town on fire…literally.

However, he also said this…

On August 28, 1963,  Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr, gave his famous “I Have a Dream” speech, in which he said,

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

On July 18th, 2012, during the heart of  Obama’s Re-election Campaign, Breitbart.com’s John Nolte wrote the following

…By screaming racism (which is what “birther” really means) and claiming perfectly valid criticism of Obama is “dangerous,” this is how the media protects Obama from effective criticism and spins that criticism around into an attack against Republicans.

In 2008, using this partisan tactic, the media was able to intimidate and cow John McCain into submission. In fact, when Sarah Palin started hitting Obama for his relationship with domestic terrorist Bill Ayers, out of whole cloth the media made up the charge that someone at a Palin rally screamed, “Kill him!,” in reference to Obama.

You see, this is how the corrupt media attempts to snuff out criticism Obama can’t weather. If they can’t call the criticism racist they call it dangerous. And if they have to, the media will simply create a narrative based on what they know is a lie.

The corrupt media refuses to vet Obama, because they know that if they did, he would lose. This means that they must also stop Republicans from discussing Obama’s past by any means necessary. And this includes bullying Obama’s critics by declaring their criticism “racist” and “dangerous.”

Today’s Liberals use Racism as both a sword and a shield.

If you attack Obama’s performance as President, or any other Liberal Black Leader’s performance, you’re a RAAACIIIST! 

However, when the subject of removing affirmative action requirements comes up, as it recently did in Michigan, A hue and cry comes up from Liberals, using their cries of “Racism” as a shield against any attempts to remove Uncle Sugar from our day-to-day lives.

While, all the time, as the quotes above show, our “tolerant” Liberal Friends are the most intolerant of all of us.

That is probably why Dr. King was a Republican.

Mother’s Day 2014: Thanks For Life, Mother

mothersdayOn this Mothers Day, the report comes out from a National Meeting in my Hometown of Memphis, Tennessee, that some members of the Grand Old Party don’t particularly care whether others have the opportunity to live or not.

The Washington Times reported Friday that

Gay marriage and abortion, divisive issues within the Republican party, have flared again at the RNC’s meeting here, with Nevada’s delegation firing back at criticism of its April decision to remove anti-abortion and anti-gay language from its state platform.

Angered by an email from Oklahoma Republican National Committee member Carolyn McLarty that questioned its loyalty to the national party, the Nevada delegation sent a stinging rebuke to the 168-member national committee.

“The removal of two social issues from our platform does not mean that ‘we’ as individual people are ‘for’ gay marriage or ‘for’ abortion,” the email said. “The removal of these planks recognizes the inappropriateness of the existence of these planks in our platform in the first place.”

“We disagree with Committeewoman McLarty where she said ‘They are symptoms of the infiltration of the Republican Party by those who really want to destroy it,’ ” it said.

The delegation also took issue with Mrs. McLarty, an evangelical Protestant and staunch opponent of abortion, calling its action an “attack on God and family.”

“We are insulted by this accusation. Most of our delegates have deep spiritual beliefs,” the Nevada email said.

Grass-roots Republicans themselves are divided over whether abortion should be banned nationally by a constitutional amendment or whether it’s a matter of states’ discretion.

Some respected veteran RNC members were not pleased with the Nevada action on abortion – in part because there is widespread agreement among RNC members that the Democratic party is the party sympathetic to abortion and the GOP has differentiated itself as the “pro-life” party – and because many RNC members are dedicated opponents of what they regard as “murder of the unborn.”

“The Nevada RNC member reported to her fellow RNC western region committee members the platform was ‘shortened “to benefit voters and candidates,’” Arizona RNC member Bruce Ash told The Washington Times.

“I raise the question of whether the Nevada GOP was exercising wise judgment by doing so as well as why these were the best to select,” Mr. Ash said.

But many Republicans agree the GOP must preserve its coalition of voters with disparate views.

I was “reared” (as we say in Dixie) by a Mother and Daddy (Southern colloquialism for a Male Parental Unit) who were members of the Greatest Generation. In fact, I was born 3 days before my mother’s 40th brithday. To this day, I believe that they were going to name me “Oops”.

My mother, like many Middle Class Southern Ladies, after World War II, was ahead of her time. Both her and My Daddy worked 20 years for Sears and Roebuck. And yet, she still had time to cook our meals, and be a single parent to me on those nights when my Daddy worked the late shift and had to help close up, and those Saturdays, when he had to work.

My mother was born in Dyersburg, TN, one of 7 children of a barber (5 girls and two boys). She and my Daddy both lived through the Great Depression and worked hard to make sure that my sisters and I had a good life.

Mother was very strict on us, pushing us to excel. My late step-sister, the oldest, took piano lessons for several years, and played beautifully. My older sister also played piano, acted in school plays, and sang in choirs. She too has been a hard-working mother, working full-time and raising two wonderful children, who are now grown.

My Mother was a strict disciplinarian, always pushing me to do better. If I brought home a “B”, she would tell me I should have gotten a “A”. Because of her, I wound up graduating high school 30th in a class of 360, with a GPA of 3.54.

My view of the world around me was shaped and nurtured by her and my Daddy, a Christian American, and the finest man I’ve ever known, who served with an Army Engineering Unit, as a Master Sergeant, in World War II, and who jumped off of a perfectly good boat into a hail of gunfire to join his American Brothers in the tide-turning American Victory known as “D-Day”.

My Mother and Daddy taught me what it was to be a hard-working, Middle Class Christian American Conservative….and, to be proud of it.

Now, on Mothers day, as I look at this totally messed-up popular culture around me, brought to us by the “Me, First!” Generation, I thank God that my Mother gave me the Gift of Life and did not take the “easy way out” at 40 years of age.

If Liberals, on both sides of the aisle, (because you cannot claim Conservatism, if you want to kill babies) would only perform a self-assessment, and come to the realization that the life inside a human mother’s womb, is in fact, a HUMAN BEING, and not “a bunch of cells,”, “a parasitic life form”, or “an inconvenience”, then abortion would go the way of the rotary telephone.

Unfortunately, though, when you have a president whose first act, upon obtaining the office, was to authorize American Taxpayers’ money be sent to abortion clinics around the world, and who said,

Look, I got two daughters — 9 years old and 6 years old. I am going to teach them first about values and morals, but if they make a mistake, I don’t want them punished with a baby. I don’t want them punished with an STD at age 16, so it doesn’t make sense to not give them information,

that probably is not going to happen anytime soon.

However, we can still pray for our nation’s unborn. And, keep fighting the good fight!

In conclusion, I ask you to thank your mother , on this Mothers Day, for the very first, and most important gift, which she ever gave you:

The Gift of Life.
