Only 65 percent of Americans now identify as Christian while those who identify as religiously unaffiliated swelled to 26 percent, a new study from the Pew Research Center says.

The new data, culled from telephone surveys conducted in 2018 and 2019, show a 12 percent decline in the number of Americans who identify as Christians when compared to the general population 10 years ago.

And the decline is visible across multiple demographics, particularly among young adults.

“The changes underway in the American religious landscape are broad-based. The Christian share of the population is down and religious ‘nones’ have grown across multiple demographic groups: white people, black people and Hispanics; men and women; in all regions of the country; and among college graduates and those with lower levels of educational attainment,” Pew researchers says.

“Religious ‘nones’ are growing faster among Democrats than Republicans, though their ranks are swelling in both partisan coalitions,” Pew adds. “And although the religiously unaffiliated are on the rise among younger people and most groups of older adults, their growth is most pronounced among young adults.”

When it comes to rates of attendance at religious services, the share of Americans who say they attend religious services at least once or twice a month dropped by 7 percentage points, while the share who say they attend religious services less often, if at all, rose by the same figure.

“In 2009, regular worship attenders (those who attend religious services at least once or twice a month) outnumbered those who attend services only occasionally or not at all by a 52%-to-47% margin. Today those figures are reversed; more Americans now say they attend religious services a few times a year or less (54%) than say they attend at least monthly (45%),” researchers explain.

While the Protestant and Catholic churches have been experiencing losses in terms of their population share, all subsets of the religiously unaffiliated population have been experiencing growth in their numbers.

“Self-described atheists now account for 4% of U.S. adults, up modestly but significantly from 2% in 2009; agnostics make up 5% of U.S. adults, up from 3% a decade ago; and 17% of Americans now describe their religion as ‘nothing in particular,’ up from 12% in 2009. Members of non-Christian religions also have grown modestly as a share of the adult population,” Pew says.

The researchers collected their most recent data on the American religious landscape from random-digit-dial political polls encompassing 88 surveys from 2009 to 2019 that featured interviews with 168,890 Americans.

Respondents were asked questions about their age, race, educational attainment and other background characteristics. Each of the polls also included one basic question about religious identity such as: “What is your present religion, if any? Are you Protestant, Roman Catholic, Mormon, Orthodox such as Greek or Russian Orthodox, Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist, Hindu, atheist, agnostic, something else, or nothing in particular?”

Most of the polls also asked questions about religious attendance such as: “Aside from weddings and funerals, how often do you attend religious services? More than once a week, once a week, once or twice a month, a few times a year, seldom, or never?”

The results of the polls, Pew adds, show a wide gap between older Americans (Baby Boomers and members of the Silent Generation) and millennials in their levels of religious affiliation and attendance.

“More than eight-in-10 members of the Silent Generation (those born between 1928 and 1945) describe themselves as Christians (84%), as do three-quarters of Baby Boomers (76%). In stark contrast, only half of millennials (49%) describe themselves as Christians; four-in-10 are religious ‘nones,’ and one-in-10 millennials identify with non-Christian faiths,” Pew explains.

“Only about one-in-three millennials say they attend religious services at least once or twice a month. Roughly two-thirds of millennials (64%) attend worship services a few times a year or less often, including about four-in-10 who say they seldom or never go. Indeed, there are as many millennials who say they ‘never’ attend religious services (22%) as there are who say they go at least once a week (22%),” the researchers add.

Before I launch in to this, let me let you know that, especially after the inaccuracies Americans have witnessed in the major polling companies before the 2016 Presidential Election on to the present day, I take all polling with a grain of salt.

A poll is only as good as its sampling ratio.

I am not really that surprised to see that this present generation is moving away from Christianity.

They have been programmed to from the moment they started kindergarten in public school.

Ever since Liberals took over America’s Education System, they have been constantly socially engineering America’s schoolchildren “in the way in which THEY believed that they should go”.

Remember when Hillary Clinton famously said, “It takes a village”?

She meant that “it takes a village” of people to indoctrinate a children to place a cradle-to-grave government and the relative morality and situational ethics of this world above the Triune God and the teachings found in His Word.

Vladimir Lenin said,

Give me just one generation of youth, and I’ll transform the whole world.

And, that it what has been happening in America for at least three decades.

It goes hand-in-hand with the decline of church attendance and the decline in Christianity (a number on the Pew Research Poll which may or may not be accurate).

As the influence of “Social Justice” and secularism grew in American schools and in day-to-day life, Americans became more and more obsessed with self-gratification and living for themselves.

Parents who were raised as Christians bought their children video game consoles instead of athletic equipment and parents began spending their Sundays hunting, fishing, and watching ballgames on TV, instead of going to be with fellow Christians in church.

Spiritual Leaders themselves, in order to attempt to reach this “unchurched” generation, slowly began moving away from preaching the parts of Biblical Scripture which required something from the listener and instead began preaching the false doctrine of sunshine, lollipops, and rainbows and “whatever makes you happy, do it!”.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of churches which no longer seem to be teaching about repentance of sin and salvation through the Grace of God.

Instead of just being IN the world, these churches have made the decision to be OF the world in order to “tickle the ears” of the millennials, with pop culture and social justice taking the place of spirit-filled worship.

And, if a church, a “church plant”, an “outpost”, a cathedral, or whatever the place of worship is called is not preaching God’s Word, then the Holy Spirit will not be there.

And, if the place of worship is not spirit-filled, then Christians will not come and they will not bring their families and friends and then, no one will have the opportunity to be led to Christ.

So, are we experiencing the “falling away” written about in 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 and Revelation 19:20?

I do not know. I am not a prophet and only God knows when the Second Coming will occur.

However, I do know a couple of things:

God’s timing is perfect.

And, to those attempting to rewrite God’s Holy Word…

The War Against Christianity: Beto Says He’ll Strip Churches of Tax-Exempt Status If They Don’t Support “Gay Marriage”

Democratic presidential hopeful Beto O’Rourke says he’d strip churches of tax-exempt status if they don’t support same-sex marriage.

When the former Texas congressman was asked if religious institutions — “colleges, churches, charities” — should be stripped of tax-exempt status Thursday night by CNN anchor Don Lemon during the LGBTQ town hall, he immediately responded, “Yes.”

The crowd erupted in applause before O’Rourke further explained.

“There can be no reward, no benefit, no tax break for anyone or any institution, any organization in America, that denies the full human rights and the full civil rights of every single one of us,” he said. “So as president, we’re going to make that a priority, and we are going to stop those who are infringing upon the human rights of our fellow Americans.”

In O’Rourke’s “Plan to Pursue Equality for LGBTQ+ People and Ensure They Can Live Openly Without Fear of Discrimination or Violence,” he lists reversing the Trump administration’s “attempt to expand religious exemptions in order to enable discrimination or harm others.”

He adds, “Freedom of religion is a fundamental right, but it should not be used to discriminate.”

Matt Lewis, CNN political commentator, tweeted out, “This isn’t going to help win the electoral college. If you wonder why so many Christians are willing to hold their nose and support someone as horrible as Donald Trump, this helps explain it.”

Luke Goodrich, vice president and senior counsel at Becket, a religious liberty law firm, called it “blatantly unconstitutional,” adding “it’s also foolish because those groups provide billions of dollars in essential social services to their communities. Churches and ministries should be allowed to hold centuries-old beliefs without fear of government retribution.”

And Hiram Sasser, general counsel for First Liberty Institute, told Fox News their faith-based organization has taken on the government before.

“When the Obama IRS came after pastors gathering together in conferences with Rick Perry support traditional marriage, we had to defend the pastors,” Sasser said. “We beat the IRS then and we would do it again if O’Rourke attacks churches with the IRS in the future.”

President Trump has championed religious liberty, largely winning the evangelical vote in 2016, and earlier this year, his administration launched a global effort to decriminalize homosexuality.

The Far Left Democratic Party’s push to outlaw the preaching of God’s Word in American Churches for the sake of Political Correctness is just another sign of the similarities between the Democrats’ attempted takeover of not only our political system but our day to day lives as well and the takeover of Russia by the Marxists during Lenin and Stalin.

Per usual, the hubris of the Political Minority in America, known as Liberals, has precluded them from foreseeing the massive blowback that they have received, in regards to this latest attempt by them to make up a new “Constitutional Right” to cover what was formal referred to in college Sociology Courses as “Deviant Behavior”.

One of the arguments that Liberals have been countering the objections to their ludicrous demand with, is the fact that Europe is so far “ahead of us in their acceptance of these “lifestyles”, that they have had Unisex Public Restrooms in place for a while, now.

While that is true, what they fail to mention, is the fact that those restrooms all have PRIVATE stalls, which a common area to wash your hands, after you “finish your business”.

They also neglect to mention the fact that the decades-long degeneration of Morality and Virtue across Europe has lead to the current chaos being wrought by “immigrating” Muslims, who are continuing to set up Sharia Law in Europe, even as I write today’s post. The same laws which call for the public execution of homosexuals.

What Modern American Liberals still fail to grasp is the concept of American Individualism, a concept strengthened by our American Faith and Traditional Values System, concepts which trace all the way back to our nation’s birth, set in place by our nation’s Founding Fathers.

Modern Liberals seem to have great difficulty comprehending the role which Christianity, the “Faith of Our Fathers”, the professed faith of 75% of Americans, per Gallup, played and plays in this Grand Experiment, known as the United States of America.

Why have Liberals ratcheted up their anti-Christian Vitriol and Negativity since January 21, 2009?

During the Obama Administration, there began a concerted and very visible effort to limit the role that Christianity plays in the day-to-day lives of average Americans.

This was already done, decades ago, in Europe, and now, they are suffering the consequences of their actions.

The Christian Post published an article a few years ago reporting that

The Church of England is reportedly considering plans to keep some historic village churches across the country opened only on holy days such as Christmas and Easter due to population shifts and the ever-growing decline in attendance and church membership.

A major 66-page report by the CofE’s Church Buildings Review Group noted that many churches are no longer sustainable, and that about one in four parishes have fewer than 10 regular worshipers.

The report proposes turning some parishes into “festival churches” in order to ease the financial burden, suggesting that they will only be used for key dates on the religious calendar, or occasions such as marriage and funerals.

Festival churches are only one of the widespread changes proposed by the review group, which says it is focused on “securing spiritual and numerical growth and serving the common good.”

“We believe that — apart from growing the church — there is no single solution to the challenges posed by our extensive responsibility for part of the nation’s historic heritage,” the group added.

The CofE has had to deal with sharp decline over the past 30 years, as reported in May by NatCen Social Research.

The group’s Social Attitudes survey found that 40 percent of the British population identified as Anglicans in 1983, but that number is down to only 17 percent in 2014. Presently only 8.5 million Britons identify as Anglicans, the survey said.

People of no religious faith now make up close to half of the population in Britain, or 49 percent, which is up from their 31 percent count in 1983.

With the steady rise of immigration, the rise of non-Christian faiths has also been well documented, with Islam making up close to 5 percent of all Britons in 2014, up from 0.5 percent in 1983.

Why are Modern American Liberals so focused on removing, or, at the very least, marginalizing, America’s Christian Heritage, as found in our System of Traditional Values and Beliefs?

Well, as is usually my wont, I have been doing some “reckoning” about this.

It seems to this ol’ Southern Boy, living here in the Heartland, that America’s Christian Heritage and the very real fact of His influence in building and shaping America’s growth into the greatest country on the face of God’s Green Earth, not only stifles and interferes with Modern Liberals’ “anything goes”, “share the wealth”, “hive-mind”, “man is his own god” Political Ideology, but the reality of God’s very existence, somewhere deep in their miserable, bitter psyches, scares the mess out of them.

Why else would they be trying so hard to fight against the influence of Someone Whom they really don’t believe in?

I see them every single day on the television, on the Internet, on Facebook Political Pages, posting stupid meme (a picture with words on it) after stupid meme, attempting to make fun of The Great I Am and those of us who have given our lives to Him.

They are so hateful, and filled with such bitterness, that it is difficult to engage them in “conversation”.

Perhaps, somewhere in their back of their minds, all of these Modern American Liberals, realize that they are fighting a losing battle.

Christianity continues to thrive in America, despite their best efforts.

America was built upon a Solid Rock.

To ignore our nation’s Faith-Based Founding and Heritage is to live in purposeful ignorance.

As President Ronald Reagan said,

If we ever forget that we are One Nation Under God, then we will be a nation gone under.

And, as Hebrews 13:8 tells us,

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

Regardless of the ongoing Political Machinations by Modern American Liberals to tear asunder the Moral fabric of the nation for the “Good of the State” and the propagation of the “Hive-Mind”, the God of Abraham, who brought our Founding Fatehrs to this Land, will have the Final Word.

He always does.

The War on Christianity: Drew Brees, the Bible, and the Worshipers of Political Correctness

NFL quarterback Drew Brees defended himself this week after critics slammed a video in which the New Orleans Saints star encouraged Christian students to participate in Bring Your Bible to School Day.

Many of the critics opposed the Brees video because it was backed by Focus on the Family, a group frequently accused of being anti-gay. The group has previously been attacked for endorsing “conversion therapy,” an often discredited practice of trying to change a person’s sexual orientation.

An article in The Christian Post, however, cited a 2018 study that suggested sexual orientation change efforts have improved the mental health of mostly Christian men who have struggled with sexual identity issues.

But after critics targeted Brees on social media for associating with the group – with some accusing the former Purdue University star himself of being anti-gay — Brees posted a second video Thursday, this time on his own Twitter account.

“Hopefully this sets the record straight with who I am and what I stand for,” Brees wrote above the video. “Love, Respect, and Accept ALL. I encourage you not to believe the negativity you read that says differently. It’s simply not true. Have a great day.”

In the video, Brees says: “I do not support any groups that discriminate or that have their own agendas that are trying to promote inequality.”

Brees then spoke with reporters in an attempt to further clarify where he stands.

He said he believes he was unfairly and mistakenly accused of being anti-gay, and that he participated in the video solely to promote Bring Your Bible to School Day, not to endorse “any type of hate.”

“I know that there are, unfortunately, Christian organizations out there that are involved in that kind of thing,” he said, according to ESPN. “And to me, that is totally against what being a Christian is all about. Being a Christian is love, it’s forgiveness, it’s respecting all, it’s accepting all.”

In a video posted on YouTube, Jim Daly of Colorado Springs, Colo.-based Focus on the Family also clarified that the organization is not a hate group.

“Our goal is to say, ‘Jesus loves you, cares about you, no matter who you are — your race, your creed, your sexual orientation. Jesus died for every one of us.’ That’s the message we want to get out,” Daly said.

Why are Modern American Liberals so afraid Christians and our sharing of God’s Holy Word?

During the Obama Administration, I wrote an ongoing series of articles highlighting “The War on Christianity” being waged, at that time, on an almost daily basis by that President and his Administration, along with the Democratic Party’s minions in the Main Stream Media.

Now, we have a different President and Vice-President, who, gasp, actually support Christianity in America and are not shy about invoking the Name of God Almighty in their public speeches.

Heaven forbid! Well…Heaven doesn’t forbid…it encourages.

What is amazing to me, though, is how, as in the case of Drew Brees and his suggestion, American Christianity continues to be attacked by Liberals on all fronts:  militarily, culturally, and even within organized religion, itself.

From illegal immigration to abortion to homosexual “rights”, Americans who follow the teachings of Jesus Christ on these issues have been under fire by Liberals, who insist that they know more about what is in the Bible and what Christ says, or would say, about these topics, than those of us who actually read God’s Word.

Claiming to be wise, they became fools. – Romans 1:22

The thought of an omnipresent God interferes with Modern Liberals’ belief that they are the most important thing in the universe.

You see, as long as they are the master of their own destiny, which in fact they are, because God gives us free will, their selfish behavior and their sinful lifestyle, present no personal consequences to them, and therefore, do not keep them awake at night. And yet, when you enter into a conversation with a member of this hedonistic generation, you soon find out that they aren’t as personally happy with their lifestyle choices, as they want you to believe that they are. Consequently, this whole effort by Political and Social Liberals alike, to push a new set of morals, values, and ethics on average Christian Americans, stems from the fact that they are all miserable, selfish, little cretins, who want their poor lifestyle choices validated and deemed as normal.

As I have stated before, America remains 75% Christian. And, this fact drives the Far left, including the current “Selfish Generation”, absolutely crazy….and desperate.

The attack on Drew Brees’ and his suggestion that children bring their Bibles to school is no surprise.

Liberals do not want a rebibal breaking out among American’s schoolchildren who they are traying so hard to brainwash with THEIR belief system.

That being said, isn’t it interesting that those among us who claim to be the most tolerant are actually the least tolerant of all?

And, those who claim to be champions of “personal freedom” are enemies of the religious freedom secured for us in the United States Constitution and the faith of 75% of us?

The Walmart Massacre: America Does Not Need Gun Control…We Need Evil Control

Yesterday afternoon, as I was inside of a Walmart in Northwest Mississippi, 15 minutes down the Highway from the one in Southaven, where two employees were gunned down mercilessly earlier in the week by someone whom they knew and had worked with for years, I read on my cell phone that the unthinkable had happened again.

A psychopath had gunned down 20 people and injured 26 others in a Walmart in El Paso, Texas.

The gunman has since been identified by law enforcement officials as 21-year-old Patrick Crusius of Allen, Texas. The suspect graduated from Plano Senior High School in 2017.

A large group of law enforcement officials were seen last night surrounding a home in Allen, a town about 26 miles north of Dallas. The investigative group included agents from the FBI, Texas Department of Public Safety and federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

According to FoxNews.com,

A woman answered the door after a group of officers knocked. They appeared to speak with her briefly and then she closed the door. A short time later, the door reopened and officers entered.

Neighbor Alice Baland, who lives four houses down, told The Associated Press a retired couple lives at the home associated with the suspect. She described them as sweet people who regularly attend church.

Chief Allen said investigators were examining a manifesto that may have been written by the suspect and would indicate a “nexus to a hate crime,” but declined to offer details. The suspect will likely face capital murder charges, Allen said.

Allen said his department received initial reports of the shooting at 10:39 a.m. and first responders arrived six minutes later. Police asked people to stay away from the area and to look for missing family members at a school being used as a reunification area. El Paso Police Sgt. Enrique Carrillo told reporters shortly before 1 p.m. that one person was in custody and there was no longer an “imminent threat” to the area.

At an earlier news conference, El Paso Police Sgt. Robert Gomez said the suspect was taken into custody without incident and no law enforcement officers fired their weapons. The Walmart was near capacity at the time of the shooting, with hundreds of shoppers inside along with 100 employees during the busy back-to-school shopping season.

“This is unprecedented in El Paso,” said Gomez.

Immediately after it happened the usual voices were heard, making political hay of the incident and calling for more gun control.

If gun control was the answer to these acts of wanton violence which happened the last week in Walmarts in Southaven, MS and El Paso, TX, then the city of Chicago, Illinois would be the safest place in the United States of America because they have the strictest gun control laws in our nation.

It has been reported that the young man wore a black shirt and cargo pants. If this is accurate then it could mean that he was a member of the violent anti-Trump organization of idiots known as the Antifa, who were warned by Lt. Governor Dan Patrick to stay out of Texas, 29 days before a planned “Border Resistance” military training tour by that Far Left bunch of black-hooded idiots.

Regardless of his reasons or political ideology, there are no excuses for the actions of this young man who so heiniously and efficiently took the lives of those whom he struck down in cold blood.

In both the case of this young man who grew up in Plano, TX and the mass murderer of innocents at Parkland High School in Florida, I have no doubt that there were markers along the way which should have told those who were involved in their lives, both parents and friends, that there was something just not right with them.

You can call it profiling or you can call it a spirit of discernment, as the Bible describes it. Those who were around these individuals should have noticed something.

That is where the title of this piece comes in.

We need evil control. What I mean, is that we need parents to actually act like parents and be involved in their children’s lives. We need teachers and friends who care enough about individuals to say something to both them and to their families when something is just not right.

As someone who watched his parents deal with the mental illness of a family member, I’m not saying that it will be easy. It is a hard thing to face up to and to confront. But, it has to be done.

Those who are constantly calling for gun control seek to punish the entire nation for the actions of some by taking away our 2nd Amendment rights.

If those same people would stop for a moment and consider that guns are inanimate objects which cannot fire themselves and then focus on the true cause of the increase in violence in our nation, then perhaps we could actually start making some headway and provide the care and treatment to the individuals who need it in time to avoid the horrific event of a mass murder, such as happened yesterday in El Paso, Texas.

I am not saying that this will get rid of all of the mentally ill people in our country who wish to murder others, but it seems to me that back in the day when parents actually raised their children, along with the rest of the neighborhood who raised us, we did not see this preponderance of violent acts which we are seeing today.

Also, one last thing. Getting back to raising our children and grandchildren in the “Faith of Our Fathers”, wouldn’t be such a bad idea, either.

“Princes and Principalities”: Satanic Temple Member Gives “Invocation” at Alaskan Government Meeting

A Satanic Temple member was allowed to open a government meeting with the phrase “hail Satan,” prompting a walkout by residents and officials.

Iris Fontana, a member of the Satanic Temple, delivered the invocation Tuesday at the Kenai Peninsula Borough Assembly, marking the first given by the Satanic Temple since the borough changed its policy in November, the Peninsula Clarion reported.

The new policy allows anyone to deliver an invocation, regardless of religion or belief.

“That which will not bend, must break, and that which can be destroyed by truth should never be spared as demise,” Fontana said, according to Kenai radio station KSRM. “It is done, hail Satan.”

About 40 people protested the inclusion of a Satanic Temple invocation, some holding signs reading “reject Satan and his works” and “know Jesus and His love.”

Protester William Siebenmorgen flew to Alaska from Pennsylvania for the event: “God will be pleased with our public prayers of reparation. We want God’s blessings on America, not Satan’s curses. Lucifer is the eternal loser. Let’s keep him out,” he told KSRM.

The invocation prompted others to leave the meeting: “Assembly members Norm Blakeley and Paul Fischer and borough Mayor Charlie Pierce were among those who left the assembly chambers along with some audience members,” The Associated Press reported.

Fontana was among the plaintiffs in a lawsuit brought by the ACLU of Alaska against the borough’s 2016 policy requiring those who wanted to deliver invocations at government meetings to belong to official organizations with an established presence on the Kenai Peninsula.

The Alaska Supreme Court ruled that the borough’s policy was unconstitutional, and in November, the borough government changed it to allow anyone to offer invocations regardless of religion.

Ahead of Tuesday’s invocation, a petition at a website called Return to Order, an initiative of the Catholic group American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family and Property, called for the cancellation of the event.

“How could a public institution which is meant to uphold the common good allow a representative of Satanic principles? Are immorality, corruption, and vice what we expect our public officials to promote?” read the petition, which received nearly 26,000 signatures.

“Evil is being accepted by the public as satanic actions like these break the barriers of horror we still have of evil,” it continued.

Founded in 2013, the Satanic Temple is known for its activism on church and state issues. In April, the group announced the Internal Revenue Service had granted its request for tax-exempt status, making it comparable to a church.

Last November, the group filed a lawsuit against Netflix and Warner Bros. over a depiction of their Baphomet statue in a new spin-off of the television series “Sabrina the Teenage Witch” titled “The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.”

In 2018, the Chicago chapter of the Satanic Temple forced officials to display its “Snaketivity” statue next to a huge Christmas tree in the Illinois Statehouse rotunda.

In 2016, the group announced the launch of “After School Satan Clubs” for elementary schools in response to the presence of evangelical Christian Good News Clubs at public schools.

Teen Vogue Instructs Pregnant Teenagers on How to Get an Abortion Without Telling Their Parents

Teen Vogue has become the ultimate “bad idea friend” of teenage girls.

FoxNews.com reports that

Parents are blasting Teen Vogue for a recent “sexual health and identity” column that instructs a pregnant minor on how to end a pregnancy without telling her parents because “having access to abortion should be your right, regardless of your parents’ beliefs.”

“It can be tricky,” Nona Willis Aronowitz writes in a “How to Get an Abortion If You’re a Teen” article advising a 16-year-old reader with “anti-choice” parents how to skirt the legal system if parental consent laws are in that state to terminate a pregnancy.

Elizabeth Johnston, the conservative “Activist Mommy” who made headlines for a campaign targeting the teen magazine that is no longer in print for an “anal sex how-to column,” is once again going after the company for being a “disgusting child sex guide.”

“Unborn children have no rights, but teenage children should have all rights to bodily autonomy, including consent to dangerous, irreversible procedures like abortion without their parents’ involvement?” Johnston wrote on her blog. “It is truly tragic that she believes some columnist for a children’s sex manual could provide her better counsel and support than her own parents.”

She told Fox News in an interview that the article was reckless.

“Teen Vogue, which is infamous for teaching teenagers how to sodomize one another, how to pleasure themselves with sex toys, and how to hate the patriarchy, should stay in its lane and return to make-up tutorials and fashion advice,” she said.

Aronowitz, who has participated in the “Shout your abortion” campaign, shared about an experience she had with her boyfriend at 15 when a condom had ripped and her mom helped her get Plan B.

“But if teenage me had a hard time broaching the subject of a hypothetical pregnancy with my pro-choice parents, I can only imagine how overwhelming it might feel to announce an actual pregnancy, much less a desire to get an abortion — in any circumstance, really, but especially to parents who are against it, and especially during a time in American history when the bodily autonomy of people with uteruses is under serious threat,” she wrote, adding “it’s only logical that if teens are mature enough to become parents, they are mature enough to decide whether or not they want to give birth.”

Teen Vogue says if you’re in a state that doesn’t require parental consent “you’re all set,” but in cases where it might, “there are ways to sidestep those rules depending on what state you’re in.”

She adds “supposedly anti-abortion Americans often get abortions. They often help their children procure abortions. You know those activists who stand outside clinics holding signs adorned with Bible verses and pictures of fetuses? Even they sometimes get abortions.”

Online, users pointed out the article failed to mention the women who regret abortion from their teenage years and struggle with post-abortive trauma, including suicidal thoughts.

“Teen Vogue seems very intent on teaching girls to be used and abused by men,” one girl wrote.

A mom added: “This is terrible. It’s hard enough to be a parent in our current society. Now we have magazines encouraging teens to lie and break their parent’s trust?”

In May, Aronowitz advised teens on when it’s “safe” to send nude photos, and previously, Johnston and Rev. Franklin Graham have called upon parents not to let this “kind of trash be pawned off on our children.”

Graham added: “Teen Vogue is now in the category of a porn magazine and should be regulated as such.”

First, it was Hillary Clinton pontificating that “it takes a village to raise a child”.

Next, it was Michelle Obama telling American Parents and Grandparents that we were not properly feeding and taking care of our children and grandchildren.

Now, it’s the Far Left nut jobs at Teen Vogue advising teenagers to be promiscuous and then, if they get pregnant, to lie to their parents and go kill the baby growing in their womb without telling the ones who gave them life and are still responsible for them.

Missouri Governor Signs Law Banning Abortions After 8 Weeks…Why Dems’ Push for Late Term Abortion Was a Wake-up Call

[Where am I? This is May…not October. What are all these bright lights? What’s that smell? I don’t understand. I was inside my mother, sucking my thumb, all nice and safe and warm. The next thing I know, I feel this pressure on either side of my head, and I was ripped out of my mother.

Why is this happening to me? I have a whole life ahead of me.

I deserve a Mother and a Father. I will never have those. Grandparents, either. Heck, I won’t even get to know my cousins.

I want to know what milk tastes like. I want to hold a Cheerio in my hand and put it in my mouth. I want to know what it’s like to get my first tooth…to take my first step….to hear music for the first time. I want to hold a puppy. I want to have a first day in school. I want to have a best friend. I want to ride a bike. I want to have a best friend and go out to play with them. I want to know what Christmas is all about. I want to eat a turkey leg at Thanksgiving…and to see a fireworks display on the 4th of July. I want to wear costumes on Halloween. I want to go to ballgames with my Father.

I want to watch cartoons. I want to love and be loved.

I want to fall in love. I want to experience my first kiss. I want to have my parents drop me and my date off at the movie and then pick us up. I want to play sports in school…or be an artist…or be a musician…or, just be a kid.

I want to go to a pep rally. I want to dance at a prom. I want to get a report card. Heck, I want to taste a school lunch.

I want to graduate and go to college. I want to start work…and have a family.

I want to live!

I was born three days before my mother’s 40th birthday. To say I was a surprise is an understatement. As I recently wrote, I truly believe that they were going to name me “Oops”. That being said, I am grateful that God convicted them, regarding the sanctity of the life that my mother was carrying within her.

Some good news regarding Americans’ Views on abortion can be found in a post from TheHill.com,  published less than one month before 2016’s President Election…

The most recent Marist Poll from this summer shows that a 53% majority of Americans support a strong pro-life policy of limiting abortions only to cases of rape, incest, or medical emergencies. An overwhelming 78% supermajority support, at a minimum, limiting abortion only to the first three months of pregnancy. Sixty-two of Americans oppose forcing taxpayers to foot the bill for abortions.

There are several states which are taking steps to protect the rights of the unborn.

FoxNews.com reports that

Missouri Gov. Mike Parson on Friday signed a bill that bans abortions on or beyond the eighth week of pregnancy without exceptions for cases of rape or incest, making it among the most restrictive abortion policies in the nation.

Under the law that comes into force Aug. 28, doctors who violate the eight-week cutoff could face five to 15 years in prison. Women who terminate their pregnancies cannot be prosecuted. A legal challenge is expected, although it’s unclear when that might occur.

The measure includes exceptions for medical emergencies, such as when there is a risk of death or permanent physical injuries to “a major bodily function of the pregnant woman.” But the lack of exceptions women who find themselves pregnant after being raped or subject to incest has drawn sharp criticism, including from wealthy GOP donor David Humphreys, a Missouri businessman, who had urged the Republican governor to veto the bill and called it “bad public policy.”

Parson defended the lack of exceptions as he spoke to a group of abortion opponents gathered Friday for the bill signing in his Capitol office.

“Is it a terrible thing that happens in those situations? Yes it is. … But the reality of it is bad things do happen sometimes. But you have two months to decide what you’re going to do with that issue, and I believe in two months you can make a decision,” he said.

The American Civil Liberties Union of Missouri said it was exploring “all options, including litigation, to block the law from going into effect.” The organization’s state legislative and policy director, Sara Baker, in a statement said the bill is “unconstitutional, and it must be stopped.”

Alabama’s governor signed a bill on May 15 making performing an abortion a felony in nearly all cases. Supporters have said they hope to provoke a legal challenge that will eventually force the U.S. Supreme Court to revisit its landmark 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling that legalized abortion nationally.

Unlike Alabama’s near-total abortion ban, lawmakers who helped draft the Missouri bill say it’s meant to withstand court challenges instead of spark them. If the eight-week ban is struck down, the bill includes a ladder of less-restrictive time limits at 14, 18 or 20 weeks.

Missouri’s bill also includes an outright ban on abortions except in cases of medical emergencies, but that would kick in only if Roe v. Wade is overturned. Missouri Right to Life called it “the strongest pro-life bill in Missouri history.”

Missouri state House Democratic Minority Leader Crystal Quade said in a written statement the new law treats women “as little more than fetal incubators with no rights or role in the decision, even in cases of rape and incest.”

Kentucky, Mississippi, Ohio and Georgia also have approved bans on abortions once fetal cardiac activity can be detected, which can occur in about the sixth week of pregnancy. Some of those laws already have been challenged in court, and similar restrictions in North Dakota and Iowa have been struck down by judges.

Missouri already has some of the nation’s most restrictive abortion regulations, including a requirement that doctors performing abortions have partnerships with nearby hospitals. Missouri is down to one clinic performing abortions, which is in St. Louis.

A total of 3,903 abortions occurred in Missouri in 2017, the last full year for which the state Department of Health and Senior Services has statistics online. Of those, 1,673 occurred at under nine weeks and 119 occurred at 20 weeks or later in a pregnancy.

A total of 2,910 abortions occurred in 2018 in Missouri, according to the agency.

The bill also bans abortions based solely on race, sex or a diagnosis indicating the potential for Down syndrome.

It also requires a parent or guardian giving written consent for a minor to get an abortion to first notify the other parent, except if the other parent has been convicted of a violent or sexual crime, is subject to a protection order, is “habitually in an intoxicated or drugged condition,” or lacks legal or physical custody.

Have you ever tried to have a discussion with an ardent  pro-abortion supporter, either on Facebook or face-to-face? You won’t hear these “Champions of Tolerance” call those innocent lives, babies, human beings, a life, a soul, a gift from God, or anything remotely resembling something that they should feel remorse about killing.

Heck, Pro-Abortionists are opposed to the taking of sonograms of the woman’s womb, before she has an abortion. They’re afraid that the “seed-carrier” will realize that IS a HUMAN BEING inside her, and will decide not to kill that baby.

The push by the Far Left Democratic Party over the last several decades to dehumanize the human fetus (Latin for BABY) has been taken to its barbaric and inevitable limit over the past several months with the advocacy of abortion up to birth by Democrat Politicians such as New York’s Governor Mario Cuomo, and Virginia’s Governor Ralph Northam, a Pediatric Neurologist.

To deny the humanity of the life growing in a woman’s womb is a horrifyingly callous way of denying responsibility for that life.

Who defends the “right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness” for those who cannot yet speak for themselves?

They have no voice in the decision to end their lives….lives which they have not yet had a chance to live.

Or, as President Ronald Reagan observed,

“I have noticed that everyone who is for abortion has already been born.”

From the scientific perspective, Dr. Carlo Bellieni, in his book “Dawn of the I: Pain, Memory, Desire, Dream of the Fetus,” writes:

As soon as it is born, the child shows in a scientifically demonstrable way that it recognizes its mother’s voice and distinguishes it from that of a stranger. Where has he learned that voice other than in the maternal womb?

There are also direct proofs. For example, we register how the movements and cardiac frequency of the fetus vary if we transmit unexpected sounds through the uterine wall. And we see that at first the fetus is startled, then it gets used to it, just like we do when we hear something that does not interest us.

In fact, the scientific evidence is immense. We cannot understand how it can be thought that it becomes a person at a certain point, perhaps when coming out of the uterus.

From the physical point of view, at the birth very little really changes: Air enters the lungs, the arrival of blood from the placenta is interrupted, the type of circulation of blood in the heart changes, and not much more.

As I often say, only blind faith in magic arts or some strange divinity can lead one to think that there is a “human” quality leap at a given moment — certainly not science.

I know that there are some of you that read my blog that are non-believers.  For you and for my Christian brothers and sisters, I offer the following closing thoughts:

There is a curious unique enzyme found in the human body. Laminin is defined by the Webster Medical Dictionary as a “glycoprotein that is a component of connective tissue basement membrane and that promotes cell adhesion.”  In other words, a glue within the body.

Colossians 1:15-17 tells us:

House Passes LGBTQ Equality Act, Allows “Males” to Compete Against Females, Use Locker Rooms, Gives “Civil Rights Protections”

If Democrats get their way, religious hospitals would be forced to perform abortions, Christian churches would be forced to host events that are contrary to the Bible’s teachings and Christian schools would be required to accommodate the preferences of transgender students regarding athletic teams and bathrooms. – Todd Starnes, Fox News

A Republican-backed motion to block the Equality Act, which would provide civil rights protections to gay and transgender people, failed on Friday as the House of Representatives voted to approve the bill, 236 to 173.

The bill had the support of every Democrat in the House, along with eight Republicans. If it also passes in the Senate, President Trump is expected to veto the measure when it reaches his desk.

The new anti-discrimination legislation would ensure that LGBTQ individuals cannot be discriminated against on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity, bringing everyone “closer to equal liberty and justice for all,” said House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, a champion of the bill.

Republicans have pushed against the sweeping piece of legislation, known as HR 5, saying it endangers freedom of religion by requiring every citizen to accept the changing definitions of sexual identity in society.

Another concern is that the bill will impede the civil liberties of women and girls.

Republicans also introduced a motion to recommit on the House floor Friday, calling on lawmakers to deny transgenders the right to take part in single-gender sports activities to avoid biological disadvantages between men and women. Republicans are concerned Title IX, a law that ensures federally-funded education programs do not segregate on the basis of sex, could be endangered by the new legislation.

“Democrats are attempting to erase the decades of progress women have achieved in athletics programs,” House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy told Fox News on Friday. “Protecting Title IX shouldn’t be partisan. Democrats denied girls and women their own space in sports and demonstrated another way they want to politicize every aspect of Americans’ lives.”

“Essentially, the reason Title IX was even created was to give girls and women a separate space to compete, but HR 5 allows men and boys to compete on women’s sports teams, use their locker rooms, etc.” McCarthy’s office said in a statement.

According to a Rasmussen poll from April, only 23 percent of voters “believe a person born as a male but identifying as a female should be allowed to compete in women’s competitive sports events.”

GOP lawmakers insist that the Equality Act would be the “end to women’s only sports.”

“Transgender women and girls are already allowed to participate in sports programs – this bill is simply an attempt to politicize a non-political entity,” McCarthy said.

Still, Democrats rejoiced at the win, with 2020 presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke praising lawmakers for passing the bill.

“Our thanks to the advocates, activists, and LGBTQ champions across the country who lead the way each day, kept the march for justice going year after year, and ultimately passed the Equality Act in the House today. Together, we will secure full civil rights for LGBTQ Americans,” O’Rourke tweeted.

The eight House Republicans who voted for the bill Friday were Reps. Susan Brooks of Indiana, Mario Diaz-Balart of Florida, Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania, Will Hurd of Texas, Greg Walden of Oregon and New York lawmakers John Katko, Tom Reed and Elise Stefanik.

Just when you thought that the House Dems could not be any more out of step with average Americans, they go and pull something like this.

They actually believe that it is okay for men to compete in sporting events against women?

I have not heard of anything that stupid since Andy Kaufman went around wrestling women…until Professional Wrestler Jerry “The King” Lawler dropped him on his head.

If you listen to the Far Left Democratic Party and the Vichy Republicans, who are fighting so fervently for “Transgendered Rights”, you would think that their percentage in America’s overall population MUST be somewhere in the double digits.

You would be wrong.

Transgendered Americans actually only number somewhere around 700,000, about 0.3 percent of U.S. adults.

I suppose that the “coming out” of Former Olympic Decathalon and Reality TV Star Bruce Jenner as her Transgendered Persona, “Caitlyn”, started this particular snowball down the hill.

President Ronald Reagan used to refer to the United States of America as “the shining city on a hill”. During the nightmare known as the Obama Presidency, that shine became tarnished.

That “Great Experiment” turned out to be a Frankenstein’s Monster.

What was the very first thing that Barack Hussein Obama did when he took office? He signed an order giving American money to fund abortions all over the world. Yes, that’s right. His first priority was the taking of innocent lives.

However, this descent down the slippery slope in America has been going on for years.

Years ago, Liberals decided to put in a program of indoctrination into their belief system through the Department of Education.

They attacked the most vulnerable of us, our children.

Through programs like “anti-bullying” and Common Core, all the things, such as Christian morality and ethics, which average Americans, living in the Heartland, have always taught our children and grandchildren, began being undone by the government, in a scenario eerily reminiscent of the Soviet Union or Communist China.

Uncle Sugar was telling our kids that it is alright for heather to have two Mommies, and Bobby not to know who his Daddy is.

They were also being taught in our schools that individual achievement was secondary to the welfare of everyone around them. In other words,

What happens when you give “The State” 12 years to indoctrinate your child. Or, 16 years, if they go to college?

Scary, when you think about it, huh?

Thank God average Americans stood up on their hind legs and elected Donald J. Trump President of the United States of American on November 8, 2016.

Average Americans have been joining with him in an effort to Make America Great Again.

However, the Far Left Democratic Party remains determined to somehow change The Shining City on a Hill into an amoral Socialist Paradise.

So, is our present culture-driven state of unrest and strife which we are experiencing in America, simply a matter of choice?

Yes. I believe that it comes down to the choice of individual freedom or subjugation to “princes and principalities”.

Here is a radio message which the late, great American News Commentator Paul Harvey delivered on April 3, 1965:

If I were the devil, I wouldn’t be happy until I had seized the ripest apple on the tree—Thee. So I’d set about however necessary to take over the United States. I’d subvert the churches first—I would begin with a campaign of whispers. With the wisdom of a serpent, I would whisper to you as I whispered to Eve: “Do as you please.” “Do as you please.” To the young, I would whisper, “The Bible is a myth.” I would convince them that man created God instead of the other way around. I would confide that what is bad is good, and what is good is “square”. And the old, I would teach to pray. I would teach them to pray after me, ‘Our Father, which art in Washington…’

And then I’d get organized. I’d educate authors on how to lurid literature exciting, so that anything else would appear dull and uninteresting. I’d threaten TV with dirtier movies and vice versa. I’d pedal narcotics to whom I could. I’d sell alcohol to ladies and gentlemen of distinction. I’d tranquilize the rest with pills.

If I were the devil I’d soon have families that war with themselves, churches that war that themselves, and nations that war with themselves; until each in its turn was consumed. And with promises of higher ratings I’d have mesmerizing media fanning the flame. If I were the devil I would encourage schools to refine young intellects, and neglect to discipline emotions—just let those run wild, until before you knew it, you’d have to have drug sniffing dogs and metal detectors at every schoolhouse door.

Within a decade I’d have prisons overflowing, I’d have judges promoting pornography—soon I could evict God from the courthouse, and then the schoolhouse, and then from the houses of Congress. And in His own churches I would substitute psychology for religion, and deify science. I would lure priests and pastors into misusing boys and girls, and church money. If I were the devil I’d make the symbols of Easter an egg and the symbol of Christmas a bottle.If I were the devil I’d take from those, and who have, and give to those wanted until I had killed the incentive of the ambitious. What do you bet I could get whole states to promote gambling as the way to get rich? I would question against extremes and hard work, and Patriotism, and moral conduct. I would convince the young that marriage is old-fashioned, that swinging more fun, that what you see on the TV is the way to be. And thus I could undress you in public, and I could lure you into bed with diseases for which there is no cure. In other words, if I were to devil I’d keep on doing on what he’s doing.

So, are we doomed as a nation to continue to slide down this slippery slope we are traveling on? In the conclusion of “A Time for Choosing”, Ronald Reagan reminded us that the choice was ours to make…

They say the world has become too complex for simple answers. They are wrong. There are no easy answers, but there are simple answers. We must have the courage to do what we know is morally right. Winston Churchill said that “the destiny of man is not measured by material computation. When great forces are on the move in the world, we learn we are spirits–not animals.” And he said, “There is something going on in time and space, and beyond time and space, which, whether we like it or not, spells duty.”

You and I have a rendezvous with destiny. We will preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we will sentence them to take the first step into a thousand years of darkness. If we fail, at least let our children and our children’s children say of us we justified our brief moment here. We did all that could be done.

As a Christian American Conservative, I believe that there is a divine spark within each one of us.

It is up to us , whether we choose to listen to that still, small voice, as He guides us through our choices we make everyday.

I also believe that this nation was forged by Christian Men, who were led by their Creator to seek the FREEDOM to worship him as they chose

Between now and November of 2020, we must stand with President Trump and continue to fight back against those who are feverishly trying to “radically change” our Sovereign Nation into something that it was never meant to be.

We must continue the journey back to reclaim the vision of our Forefathers.

It is, once again, “A Time For Choosing”.

Parents of 5-Year Old Thrown Off Mall of America Balcony Claim “Jesus Saved Our Son’s Life”…Do YOU Believe in Miracles?

Per Pew Research,

About half (48%) of U.S. adults believe God determines what happens to them most or all of the time. Nearly eight-in-ten U.S. adults think God or a higher power has protected them, and two-thirds of Americans say they have been rewarded by the Almighty.

FoxNews.com reports that

The 5-year-old boy who survived being thrown from a Mall of America balcony is showing signs of recovery and could go home in a couple of months, his family said Friday.

The boy is “alert and conscious” and no longer in critical condition, the family said in a statement issued through an attorney.

“We are now turning our focus to additional surgeries, healing, rehabilitation and eventually a return home, which we hope will happen by June,” the statement said, according to the New York Post.

Landen Hoffman had been in critical condition since the unprovoked April 12 attack at the Minnesota mall, according to reports.

The family’s statement also said Jesus “saved our son’s life and is healing him in the most miraculous ways.”

Prosecutors have charged 24-year-old Emmanuel Aranda with trying to kill the boy.

He has been accused of picking up the boy up and throwing him over the balcony. Landen struck the ground after plunging 40 feet.

Aranda and the boy were strangers.

He told police he was angry at being rejected by women and the mall and was “looking for someone to kill,” the criminal complaint says.

Court records show Aranda was ordered to undergo psychological evaluation or treatment after earlier assaults at the mall that led to his temporary banishment.

As I read the wonderful news about young Landen and his family’s faith in Jesus Christ as the Great Physician, I began thinking about the miracles which I have personally witnessed in my Christian Journey.

One which stands out vividly in my mind happened a couple of years ago.

My wife and I needed a couple of prescriptions refilled. However, being between paychecks we were short on money.

My wife and I, after the initial panic and trepidation, both agreed that all we could do was to trust God for it.

So, while my wife was in our bedroom, cleaning out one of our dresser drawers, I sat at our kitchen table and prayed to the God of Abraham for a couple of hundred dollars to see us through to our next paychecks so that we could purchase the medicine that we needed.

My wife knew what I was doing and a few minutes later she called out from the bedroom asking me how much money I asked God for.

“$200” was my reply.

“Honey, you’re not going to believe this,” she said.

She had found an envelope in the dresser drawer containing $200 which we had put away at least a year before that to help pay the house note.

That money had lain forgotten in that drawer all that time until the Lord determined that we needed it and answered my prayer.

I have witnessed other miraculous things happen in the lives of my family and friends over the years that had no answer as to how they occurred except by the Grace of God.

75% of Americans still self-identify as being Christians and 90% of Americans believe in a “Higher Power” or God.

And yet, Christians remain under attack daily, from the Main Stream Media, Cable and Satellite Television Programs, and Liberal Trolls on Social Media.

In fact, I fully expect to be attacked for this post and my belief in God’s Grace and the reality that His miracles still occur in today’s anti-Christian popular culture.

However, as Christians, we are called upon to “soldier on”.

As Rev. Franklin Graham, the head of Samaritan’s Purse and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, declared in the August-September 2014 Edition of Decision Magazine, “Heaven is not for cowards!”

“Christians cannot ignore parts of God’s Word because they are unpopular or cause division. Our commission is to proclaim Christ and all He stands for,” wrote Graham.

“This is what the church’s presence in the world is all about. We cannot sincerely proclaim the truth of God’s love while ignoring what He hates, and God hates sin.”

Graham also stressed the need for “godly courage” and for Christians to speak out against abortion and homosexuality.

“We are soldiers in God’s army, and we cannot stand down on biblical issues out of fear of being labeled a homophobe or judge,” wrote Graham.

“People make judgments every day. The world’s system passes judgments accepted by governments and citizens. But the world considers Christian judgment to be biased, judgmental and intolerant,” he added.

Rev. Graham was spot on.

I can testify from personal experience, having caught flack for sticking to my Christian American Conservative Principles, since beginning my daily posts on this blog in April of 2010.

My posts, concerning American Christianity, seem to “touch a nerve” in both Liberals and Atheists, alike. (But, in at least some cases, I repeat myself.)

Their reaction has hardly been unexpected.

Atheist Activists and young and/or misinformed Liberals, who replied to my blogs, insisted that Crosses and other Chrstian symbols have no place in the Public Square. As we have witnessed in the past month, repeatedly, they wish for Christians to remain unseen and unheard from, worshiping in private, on Sunday mornings, only.

Unfortunately for them, The First Amendment to the Constitution still holds.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

So, y’all can wish for a unicorn to magically appear in your backyard…but that ain’t gonna happen, either.

As a free nation, all you who are non-believers, or have, turned your backs on the Christian Faith in which you were raised, to worship popular culture, instead, have every right to your lack of faith…which, is actually a faith unto itself.

And, the overwhelming majority in this country, Christian Americans, will continue to exercise our faith as Christians as we celebrate the Grace and Goodness of the Triune God, Father Son, and Holy Spirit with Landen and his family as he continues to recover and lives a rich, full life ahead.

God is good. All the time.

He is Risen! Resurrection Day 2019

This morning, as I lay in bed, The Lord had me thinking about Him. These thoughts were about what today, a day that Christians around the world celebrate as the day that Jesus Christ rose victorious from the grave, must have been like.

Pretend for a moment, that you are an average citizen living at the time of Christ…

[For the past three years, you have seen this charismatic young man speak about the love and mercy of God, and how His Grace and Forgiveness is freely given, IF…

And, there’s the catch…

According to this carpenter’s son from Nazareth, you have to confess your sins, and ask the Great I am, for forgiveness.

Whoa! Wait a minute. Who is this guy? A radical? Ask Yahweh for forgiveness? And, what’s that he said? You will then have a personal relationship with His Father?

How can that be? This is the Great I am. This is the Deity of Vengeance who destroyed those escaped slaves from Egypt for throwing a party, while Moses was up on a mountain, and building and worshiping a Golden Calf.

And, remember what happened to King Nebuchadnezzar? Daniel interpreted a dream for him, explaining that his kingdom would be ruled over by Gentiles until God sent His King. Ol’ Nebby got mad, because he couldn’t rule over the Israelites and over the whole world unless God allowed him to do so. He forgot that, and became very proud. He tried to make the people think that he was very wonderful, and that they should worship him. He didn’t trust God as some of the kings of the Israelites did, but had the very foolish idea that he could be a wise and wonderful king without any help from God.

So, what do you suppose occurred?

Why, the King had another dream, and when he found out what it meant it was really terrible. In this dream God told him that he would lose his mind and would go out in the field and eat grass just like the cattle for seven years. And Nebuchadnezzar actually did this, too. Can you imagine a mighty king, as he thought himself to be, crawling around on the ground eating grass? The Bible tells us that his hair grew long and coarse and looked like bird feathers, and his fingernails became like the claws of animals.

Finally, though, Nebuchadnezzar’s reason returned to him, and when he found out what he had done he was very much ashamed of himself. However, he learned by this experience that he was not as wise and powerful as he had thought. Learning this, he gave praise to God for allowing him to be the ruler.

This is the God that some carpenter’s son from Nazareth has been telling us that we can have a personal relationship with?

Strange indeed.

Finally, one of His disciples betrayed Him and gave Him up to the Romans, who crucified Him.

I noticed that while He was hanging there the guards and some of the townspeople there were mocking Jesus, telling Him that if He was the Son of God, to ”jump down off of that cross”. Meanwhile,  some of the centurions were casting lots over His robe.

All except this one centurion, who was just watching Him, as if he was waiting for something to happen…]

And, then came the Glorious Morning…

[Wow. It’s really been amazing around here since they crucified Jesus. Did you feel that earthquake? The veil of the temple was torn in half! And did you hear? A bunch of people that had died years ago, were seen walking around the city! But that’s not all. Don’t tell me you haven’t heard?

Listen to this: He has risen! He arose from the dead and was seen by several people. It’s true! I know it sounds unbelievable. I can scarcely take it in myself. Mary Magdalene and Mary, James and Salome’s mother, went to the tomb to perform the anointing of His body and it wasn’t there! On top of that, there was this young guy there, dressed in a white robe. They said he must have been 9 feet tall. He said, “You are seeking Jesus of Nazareth. Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here. See the place where you laid him.” So they went and told the disciples. But you know how Peter is. He just had to go run up there and see for himself.

Jesus even approached two of them on the road to Emmaus. They didn’t recognize him. He even broke bread with them that night. They realized who He was and He disappeared! They ran to tell the disciples and as they were telling them, Jesus appeared right in front of them! They were all starting to panic. Jesus said, “Peace to you.” But they couldn’t believe it was him, especially Thomas. So he had him touch him in the hole in his hand where they drove the nail and where the spear pierced his side.

Jesus ate with them and performed other signs and miracles in front of them and they understood scripture as never before. He also came to them at the Sea of Tiberius. Peter took the disciples fishing and they weren’t catching anything. Jesus told them from the bank to cast the net down on the right side. They did, and they could hardly bring it in the boat! When they got back to land, Jesus already had a fire going and some fish and bread ready to eat. He asked Peter three times if he loved Him, and each time He told him “Feed my sheep’. Hey, isn’t that the same number of times Peter Denied Him?

Anyway, He taught them many things before He left. They watched as He was taken straight up into heaven. Can you imagine?

The disciples are making plans now to go out and starting spreading the Good News about Jesus’ Resurrection. They are talking about going out in pairs. Man. Nothing is ever going to be the same again.]

The despair being felt by the average citizens of Rome, at the time, is not unlike the situation which we, as average Christian Americans, find ourselves in today.

We, too, are still struggling in the darkness before the dawn.

Our American Culture has been crumbling before our very eyes, as sin, depravity, and personal irresponsibility have been lauded by “the smartest people in the room” as normal, and values to be embraced…a Golden Calf to be worshiped by those who have turned their backs of the Almighty, because He will not give them the worldly gratification they seek…and because they erroneously believe that they are smarter than God, and can interpret and ignore God’s Holy Word in order to ignore and to rewrite to make it mean whatever they want to, in order to assuage their own consciousness, in an attempt to stifle that “Still Small Voice” within them, Who is reminding them of their sin and the consequences of it.

On April 2, 1983, United States President Ronald Wilson Reagan spoke the following words, as part of an Easter/Passover Address:

This week as American families draw together in worship, we join with millions upon millions of others around the world also celebrating the traditions of their faiths. During these days, at least, regardless of nationality, religion, or race, we are united by faith in God, and the barriers between us seem less significant.

Observing the rites of Passover and Easter, we’re linked in time to the ancient origins of our values and to the unborn generations who will still celebrate them long after we’re gone. As Paul explained in his Epistle to the Ephesians, “He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. So then you were no longer strangers and aliens, but you were fellow citizens of God’s household.”

This is a time of hope and peace, when our spirits are filled and lifted. It’s a time when we give thanks for our blessings-chief among them, freedom, peace, and the promise of eternal life.

This week Jewish families and friends have been celebrating Passover, a tradition rich in symbolism and meaning. Its observance reminds all of us that the struggle for freedom and the battle against oppression waged by Jews since ancient times is one shared by people everywhere. And Christians have been commemorating the last momentous days leading to the crucifixion of Jesus 1,950 years ago. Tomorrow, as morning spreads around the planet, we’ll celebrate the triumph of life over death, the Resurrection of Jesus. Both observances tell of sacrifice and pain but also of hope and triumph.

As we look around us today, we still find human pain and suffering, but we also see it answered with individual courage and spirit, strengthened by faith. For example, the brave Polish people, despite the oppression of a godless tyranny, still cling to their faith and their belief in freedom. Shortly after Palm Sunday Mass this week, Lech Walesa faced a cheering crowd of workers outside a Gdansk church. He held his hand up in a sign of victory and predicted, “The time will come when we will win.”

This great AMERICAN PRESIDENT also once said,

We are never defeated unless we give up on God.

Fellow Christian Americans….my message to you on this Resurrection Day 2019 is

DO NOT GIVE UP ON GOD. DO NOT GIVE UP ON THE FOUNDING FATHERS’ HOPE, WHICH BECAME AMERICA.

As the old country Preacher’s wife always told him when she took away his plate after supper,

Hold on to your fork, Hon. Dessert is on it’s way.

The final chapter of the amazing story of our Blessed Land has not been written yet. It is up to each and every one of us to write it, strengthened by the Grace of God.
