Obama Brokers Deal: 5 Afghan Muslim Terrorists for One Deserter Who Was “Ashamed of America”

ObamabergdahlYesterday, It was announced that President Barack Hussein Obama and his administration had released 5 murderous Afghani  Muslim Terrorist Leaders from Gitmo, in exchange for US Army Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl.

Conservative Pundit Michelle Malkin reported on July 20, 2009, that

The circumstances of Bergdahl’s capture weren’t clear.

On July 2, two U.S. officials told the AP the soldier had “just walked off” his base with three Afghans after his shift. He had no body armor or weapon and they said they had no explanation for why he left. The officials spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the case.

On July 6, the Taliban claimed on their Web site that five days earlier “a drunken American soldier had come out of his garrison” and was captured by mujahadeen.

In the video, Pfc. Bergdahl said he was lagging behind a patrol when he was captured.

Details of such incidents are routinely held very tightly by the military as it works to retrieve a missing or captured soldier without giving away any information to captors.

There are two theories out there, concerning why the Sergeant wandered off of base. The first theory is that he was deserting. The second is that he was simply drunk.

According to reports, Sgt. Bergdahl was under the influence when he walked off his base in Paktika Province, Afghanistan and into the arms of the Haqqani terrorism network.

However, Dailymail.co.uk reports that

From the beginning, Bowe Bergdahl was not your conventional US Army Sergeant.

Traveling extensively and trained in ballet, he had sailed across the Atlantic by his late teens, but was home-schooled in a small town in Idaho with a population of about 8,000.

His friends say he enlisted in the army to help the Afghan people and provide philanthropic support to the war effort.

As the Taliban’s sole American prisoner was freed after five years, a portrait has been painted of an adventurous and idealistic seeker, who was known for his manners and would stop at nothing to test new experiences.

But there is controversy, too. Rolling Stone magazine quoted emails Bergdahl is said to have sent to his parents that suggest he was disillusioned with America’s mission in Afghanistan, had lost faith in the U.S. Army’s mission there and was considering desertion.

Bergdahl told his parents he was ‘ashamed to even be American’.

Bergdahl, who mailed home boxes containing his uniform and books, also wrote: ‘The future is too good to waste on lies. And life is way too short to care for the damnation of others, as well as to spend it helping fools with their ideas that are wrong.’

The Associated Press could not independently authenticate the emails published by the magazine in 2012. Bergdahl’s family has not commented on the allegations of desertion, according to Col. Tim Marsano, a spokesman for the Idaho National Guard.

Marsano is in regular contact with Bergdahl’s mother, Jani, and father, Bob, who has grown a long, thick beard and learned to speak the Afghanistan tribal language Pashto.

Yeah…about that…

On May 28th, Bob Bergdahl posted the following Tweet, which he deleted before his son’s release…

Appearing with President Obama in a brief Rose Garden event,Bob Bergdahl recited “Bismillah ir-Rahman ir-Rahm,” according to the Daily Caller. In English, that means, “In the name of Allah, most Gracious, most Compassionate.”

When he finished reciting, his fellow dhimmi, President Barack Hussein Obama, hugged him.

And then, scant hours after appearing at a press conference to give thanks for the freeing of his POW son in exchange for five top Taliban leaders, Bob Bergdahl returned to Twitter to promote a Guardian video in which family members lobby for the release of five Tunisians held at Guantanamo Bay,

Additionally, the president is required by law to give Congress 30 days’ notice before transferring any prisoner out of Gitmo. He never told Congress a cotton-pickin’ thing.

The reason for his breaking the law is very simple: Congress would have refused the deal and told him that he was out of his ever-lovin’ mind.

For more than 200 years, the United States has had a policy of not trading prisoners for American hostages. That policy has been irreparably destroyed, and, by doing so, Obama has now placed a target on the back of every single American – civilian and military alike.

No place in the world will now be safe for Americans to travel.

Author Brad Thor, writing for theblaze.com, makes an excellent point:

Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl’s release raises many more questions than it answers. But will anyone in the mainstream media ask those questions? Will any of them discuss the recidivism rate of Gitmo detainees who, once released back into the wild, return to terrorism? How about the lives and limbs lost in the effort to capture those Gitmo detainees in the first place? What about the possibility that the Obama Administration may have directly funded a terrorist organization responsible for slaughtering American military personnel and countless innocent civilians?

The great author, G.K. Chesterton once wrote about Islam that,

There is in Islam a paradox which is perhaps a permanent menace. The great creed born in the desert creates a kind of ecstasy of the very emptiness of its own land, and even, one may say, out of the emptiness of its own theology. . . . A void is made in the heart of Islam which has to be filled up again and again by a mere repetition of the revolution that founded it.

It appears to me that Obama and his minions, by brokering this lopsided, dangerous deal which has potentially sold out the safety of our nation, have acted like the fool who keeps feeding the tiger…hoping that the tiger will eat him last…and by doing so, throwing fuel on the fire of this perpetual Islamic Revolution that Chesterton wrote of, and giving confidence to those who wish to kill us all.

The War Against Christianity: Would I Be Willing to Die For Christ?

American FreedomI have written in the past that American Christians are fighting a war against an effort to undercut our faith, severely limiting our practice of it in everyday life.

With the present Administration spearheading the effort, Christian Americans are being marginalized , and our faith ridiculed and attacked as being against “diversity”, as the First Lady alluded to in her speech at a Topeka, Kansas Graduation Ceremony, which I wrote about yesterday.

As bad as things are getting in our country, Christians are not facing the choice of whether to renounce Jesus Christ as our Savior or die a martyr…yet.

On May 15th, in front of a judge in a Sudanese court, Meriam Yahia Ibrahim forthrightly declared that she was still, and always will be, a follower of Jesus Christ. The judge at the Public Order Court in El Haj Yousif Khartoum then confirmed her sentence of 100 lashes for adultery and death by hanging for apostasy.

Ibrahim told the judge after a Muslim scholar spent 40 minutes persuading her to recant,

I am a Christian, and I have never been a Muslim.

In response, the judge told her,

The court has sentenced you to be hanged till you are dead.

The sentence is to be carried out two years after her second child’s birth later this month.

Christian Solidarity Worldwide reported that the death sentence in the case, which is drawing international attention, and called the ruling a “violation of the Sudanese Constitution and of international conventions to which Sudan is party.”

According to Middle East Concern, Ibrahim’s lawyer is appealing the ruling. Ibrahim’s American husband was also not permitted to witness the hearing, and has been denied visitation rights to see his wife and son while they are detained in prison.

Ahead of the hearing on the 15th, Amnesty International condemned Ibrahim’s death sentence and called for her immediate release. According to Manar Idriss, Amnesty International’s Sudan researcher:

The fact that a woman could be sentenced to death for her religious choice, and to flogging for being married to a man of an allegedly different religion is abhorrent and should never be even considered. ‘Adultery’ and ‘apostasy’ are acts which should not be considered crimes at all, let alone meet the international standard of “most serious crimes” in relation to the death penalty. It is flagrant breach of international human rights law.

In July 2012, Saeed Abedini, an American pastor who is a dual Iranian-American citizen, went back to Iran to visit family and continue his work on a government approved orphanage. While in that  Radical Islamic county, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps placed Saeed under house arrest without charge. He was then sent to Evin Prison in September 2012.

In January, Saeed was sentenced to eight years in prison. He was charged with preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Saeed is not guilty of breaking any Iranian law. However, he was convicted of endangering national security because of gathering with other believers in private homes.

While in prison, Saeed has suffered internal bleeding from beatings and endured solitary confinement in an effort to make him recant his faith.

Although he has been denied medical attention, Saeed’s faith remains as strong as ever, as he has led 30 people to Christ while in prison.

Saeed’s family in Iran gets to visit him once a week at Evin Prison. His beloved wife, Naghmeh, and their children have not seen Saeed in over a year. During his most recent time in solitary confinement, Saeed said he felt many people praying and the time in solitary was a time of intimacy with God. When he came out, the other prisoners said he was glowing. In fact, Saeed said he was filled with more joy and peace after solitary than going in.

In a letter to Naghmeh, Saeed shared how he has hope despite the daily beatings he endures.

I heard that the persecution, my arrest and imprisonment has united churches from different denominations, from different cities and countries that would never come together because of their differences. That the churches have united together in prayer to put one request (my freedom) on one day (Pentecost) before God. You don’t know how happy I was in the Lord and rejoiced knowing that in my chains the body of Christ has chained together and is brought to action and prayer.

Would I be willing to die for my Savior?

Believe it or not, I have actually been asked that question by other Americans before by non-believers, both young and old, who could not fathom a faith comprised of unconditional love, supplied by a Triune God, who accepts his imperfect children, just as we are, without one plea. Bring a Love that will not let me go, no matter how many times I stumble, no matter how many times I fall, He always picks me back up, and helps me to continue to walk in faith, hope, and love. But, the greatest of these is love.

There is a “libertarian” (actually, a Liberal) who makes fun of believers on a Conservative Facebook Page I post on, by posting the words, “Onward Christian Soldiers”, attempting to point out Christian Hypocrisy…or something.

This “self-proclaimed genius” evidently has neglected to read the lyrics of this great old hymn…

with the cross of Jesus going on before.

I pray that God will open this unbeliever’s eyes one day. However, until He does, this unbeliever and his fellow travelers will be oblivious to the fact that the war Christians fight is not against flesh and blood, but instead against “Princes and Principalities”.

And, to answer the question I raised earlier….

Yes. 

On Christ the Solid Rock I stand. All other ground is sinking sand.

May God continue to the strengthen these two brave Christians and may He continue to hold them and  their loved ones in the Hollow of His Hand.

Bubba Spills the Beans About Hil’s Head Injury

Hillary Ramirez CartoonBack in the early 1980s, America’s Clown Prince of Comedy, Richard Bernard “Red” Skelton, appeared in a series of concerts, filmed in Canada, for HBO.

Red, in his late 70s, was as hilariously masterful as ever, establishing a rapport with the audience and then, taking them on a seamless flight of comedic bliss and fancy, including a quite memorable “poetry reading” by Red’s  legendary character Clem Kadiddlehopper, performing a take-off of Rudyard Kipling’s classic “Drums”, with the title of “Frogs”, during which, at the end of each quatrain,the words, “…and, there’s no silence in the night”, was followed by a licking of his thumb , and a rhythmic page turn.

Frogs. Frogs. Frogs, they are everywhere.
Frogs. Frogs. Frogs croaking fill the air.

At one point during his performance, Red is telling the audience how wonderful his second wife is, and how much he loves her…then, at just the right moment, he lolls to the left…then to the right, makes a motion for the crowd to lean in toward him, while he leans in toward them, and says softly, with a wry grin,

But, where she spits…grass never grows again!

But, I digress…

I believe that ol’ Bubba Clinton can relate to Red’s dilemma.

The dailymail.co.uk reports that

Former President Bill Clinton divulged on Wednesday that it took former secretary of state Hillary Clinton ‘six months of very serious work’ last year to recover from a fainting spell in December 2012 that resulted in a concussion and blood clot.

Her long recovery is ‘something she never low-balled,’ Bill said.

But Bill’s timeline contradicts the State Department’s claims just after the conclusion of Hillary’s treatment in January 2013 that ‘she seems to be fully recovered.’

Former George W. Bush adviser Karl Rove reignited the debate about Hillary’s physical and mental condition last week when he suggested at a conference that she was hiding something about her health.

‘Thirty days in the hospital?’ Rove said, according to the New York Post. ‘And when she reappears, she’s wearing glasses that are only for people who have traumatic brain injury? We need to know what’s up with that.’

The Post insinuated that Rove claimed Hillary may be suffering from brain damage as a result of the clot.

‘Karl Rove has deceived the country for years, but there are no words for this level of lying,’ Clinton spokesman Nick Merrill fired back.

‘She is 100%. Period,’ he said of Hillary’s heath.

Rove told Fox News on Tuesday he never said Hillary had brain damage.

‘She had a serious health episode and my point was that I think it was from the 7th of December in 2012 through the 7th of January of 2013, she underwent, first she had apparently a serious virus,’ he said after being confronted with the fact that the former secretary of state was only in the hospital for three days, not 30 days.

After Rove explained his comments on Fox, Merrill accused Republicans of politicizing Hillary’s health.

‘First they accused her of faking it, now they’ve resorted to the other extreme — and are flat out lying,’ he said.

‘Even this morning, Karl Rove is still all over the map and is continuing to get the facts wrong. But he doesn’t care, because all he wants to do is inject the issue into the echo chamber, and he’s succeeding. It’s flagrant and thinly veiled.’

Speaking at an event in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday, Bill Clinton said he was ‘sort of dumbfounded’ by Republicans’ on going questions about Hillary’s health. Clinton said they would do ‘whatever it takes’ to sully her political career, and ‘there was nothing to’ claims she was untruthful about her health issues.

‘They went to all this trouble to say she had staged what was a terrible concussion that required six months of very serious work to get over,’ he said. ‘It’s something she never low-balled with the American people, never tried to pretend it didn’t happen.”

Clinton laughed Hillary’s critics off, saying, ‘You can’t be too upset about it.’

‘It’s just the beginning. They’ll get better and better about it,’ he said. ‘It’s just part of the deal.’

As for Rove, Clinton said, ‘I got to give him credit, you know, that embodies that old saying that consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds.’

Clinton said his wife was in good health.

‘Look, she works out every week. She is strong. She is doing great,’ Clinton said according to Buzzfeed. ‘As far as I can tell, she’s in better shape than I am.’

Hillary left the State Department in February of 2013, less than a month after returning in the wake of her accident. She hit the speaking circuit just five months later in July of 2013.

The presumed 2016 candidate has spent the last year giving speeches on he own behalf and on behalf of the Clinton Foundation and working on her memoir, Hard Choices, which comes out in June.

She was also in Washington for a speech, yesterday. Unlike her husband, she did not discuss the controversy surrounding her recovery, however. 

So, the Clinton Legacy of Lies continues.

And, this woman wants to be the Leader of the Free World.

The truth of the matter is, she always has.

While Bubba had all the people skills of a professional politician, the Clinton Partnership was like the old saying,

Behind every successful man, there’s a woman…pushing as hard as she can.

Hillary was always the ambitious one.

And, as Dennis Miller once observed, while on Bill O’Reilly’s Program,

The Clinton Marriage couldn’t be more about convenience if there was a Slurpee Machine at the foot of the bed.

With this current revelation and all the other previously documented lies in Hillary’s personal and professional history, it appears that she is extremely qualified to assume Barack Hussein Obama’s mantle of Prevaricator-in-Chief.

The question now is: with all of her baggage, will the Democrats want her to?

Why is the Media Pushing So Hard on “Social Issues”?

obamamyworkAs I was trying to choose what to write about this morning, a hard, cold fact struck my simple mind:  We are living in a country that has been suffering under the tyranny of a minority. 

Not a racial minority, mind you, but an ideological one.

I’m sure that you have probably heard the old saying, “The squeaking wheel gets the grease.”

Well, this seems to be the Political Strategy that today’s Modern Liberals have taken. I was reminded of this during this past week, as America watched Michael Sam get selected by the National Football League, even though he really does not have the talent to be playing at that level.

Let’s face facts. He was selected because of his sexuality. He is a homosexual male who has declared his sexuality to be a badge of honor and used it as a tool to get himself drafted by the NFL.

Watching all the local and national news, you would have thought that Sam coming out of the closet was the greatest thing since sliced bread.

The way they treated Michael Sam as the new “Fresh Prince of Bel Air”, presented their negative reaction to Conservative Christian Tim Tebow in a whole new light.

At that time, those bozos were acting like Tim was going to evangelize the entire National Football League, which actually would not have been a bad thing at all. A lot of those professional young men certainly need Jesus.

But, I digress.

The fact of the matter remains that homosexuals only account for less than 5% of America’s population. Liberals account for less than 25%.

So, why is the push for normalizing the deviant sexual preferences of homosexuals and transexuals also, dominating the national news stories coming out of the Liberal Main Stream Media?

For an answer to that, please refer back to the first sentence of this blog.

Through the strategic use of the media, all forms of it, the plight of homosexuals has become one of the Liberals’ causes du jour.

The other cause,of course, is the legalization of marijuana. However, the Liberals are having a difficult time with that because of the recent instances of children selling their parents’ stash in Colorado schools and the increasing number of automobile accidents caused by marijuana smokers .

So why is the Liberal Media pushing these stories so hard upon the American public?

Well, the answer to that question can be traced back to the old saying, “S*** rolls downhill.”

All of this present madness serves basically two functions:

1. It opens the door for the “Me First!” Generation to get their way and to be able to openly practice their libertine behavior.

2. It provides cover for the worst American President in modern history. That’s right…all this mess is designed to provide cover for the incompetency of President Barack Hussein Obama.

With all the scandals coming forward before and after his reelection, the media was put in a corner. Even they cannot directly defend his incompetency, anymore. So, the Democratic Party told their minions in the media, to start pushing these Libertine Lifestyle Issues, instead of Obama’s Economic, Domestic, and Foreign Policies, which at this point, halfway through his second term, are under his ownership and are indefensible.

Also, by pushing these lifestyle issues, they appeal to the Socially Liberal Republican voters and to the self-identified pot-smoking libertarians as well.

Marx and Lenin always advocated dividing a nation in order to conquer it. And, that is exactly what Obama, the Democrat Party, and their Mainstream Media Minions have been attempting to do for quite a while now.

The problem with their plan to divide and conquer our Constitutional Republic through their push to normalize these lifestyle choices is tri-fold:

1. The overwhelming majority of Americans still proclaim Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. In fact, per Gallup, 77% of us do.

2. The majority of Americans remain Conservative in our political ideology. How do you think the TEA Party, a groundswell movement, got started in the first place?

3. As current polls show, the majority of Americans believe that both President Barack Hussein Obama and the Main Stream Media lie like a rug. And,both Obama and the MSM, including CNN and MSN, continue to have abysmal ratings.

In conclusion, the next time you view a story on or read a story in the Main Stream Media, or you see a poll that they have sponsored, which claims that the majority of Americans support things that we traditionally have not considered “normal” or acceptable, consider the source.

…And, the real reasons that these issues are being pushed so hard for your approval.

The majority of Americans have a great deal in common, “Ties That Bind”, if you will.  As our external enemies discovered after their cowardly attack on September 11th, 2001, Americans will come together when our neighbors and families are being harmed and our freedom is at stake.

The tyrannical minority who have been ruling with impunity saw a small sampling of Americans’ independent spirit and resolve to remain free on November 2nd, 2010.  So far, they seem blinded by their ideology and own self-importance.

They underestimate Americans.  The tyrannical always have.

So, this November… vote accordingly.

The Obama Legacy: The Wussification of America

wussificationSunday afternoon, I found myself at home in my recliner, after attending church that morning and having lunch with friends afterward, channel surfing like the All-American Male that I am. My remote stopped on American Movie Classics, where I found myself watching the last 30 minutes of one of my all-time favorite movies, “Rio Bravo”, starring The Duke (John Wayne), Dean Martin, Walter Brennan, Ricky Nelson, Ward Bond, and Claude Akins.

As I was watching this classic movie, a tale of American Grit, Dedication, and Courage, it struck me how American Popular Culture  is in the process of turning American Men into a bunch of wusses, a process which has accelerated rapidly under the leadership of President Barack Hussein Obama and his Liberal Minions.

And, it is starting from the moment America’s Youth walk through the school door.

In schools across the nation, teachers and administrators are practicing what they call “Positive Reinforcement”. Instead of punishing children when they misbehave in class, they sit them down and talk to them, explaining why they were wrong and building up their self-esteem. Then, they pet them on their little heads and send them back to class with a lollipop.

So, America’s Children are now growing up thinking there is no Consequence for bad behavior, because School Administrators lack the spine to respond to bad behavior in an appropriate manner. We have seen the result of all this for a while now, as a national bullying program was set up by the Obama administration, because children no longer know how to stand up for themselves, as young parents are buying into this positive reinforcement garbage at home also, while at the same time not teaching their children how to stand up for themselves.

Back in the day, we knew how to behave at school and out in public as well, because of a knowledge that there were indeed consequences for bad behavior. Those consequences included, but were not limited to a flyswatter, a wooden spoon, a yardstick, or an assistant principal’s paddle, that usually had holes cut in it, in order to increase the velocity of his swings.

As American kids were being raised in a permissive atmosphere, where they were taught to be wimps, literally being taught that self-serving behavior, such as being bad or being a wuss, was okay, they eventually grew into immature adults trying to push their lack of morality and responsibility onto the rest of American society.

The evidence for this theory that I am presenting is all around us.

For example, the big news during the last couple of days was that the recent NFL Draft included its first openly gay football player, Michael Sam.

Sam wound up being drafted alright. Unfortunately for him, he was drafted next to last by the St Louis Rams.

The reason being that even his homosexuality couldn’t overcome the fact that he doesn’t have a whole lot of talent.

Of course, don’t tell him that. This publicity clown came out the next day to tell the world that he should have been picked long before that. Humility and Grace personified, huh?

And the same people who have been wanting so desperately for a homosexual to be a part of the NFL Draft, ostracized a good Christian man, with considerably more football talent and potential than Michael Sam, named Tim Tebow.

It absolutely makes no cotton-pickin’ sense.

But, let’s not stop there.

Think about the stupid hashtag campaign, attempting to convince Boko Haram to return all those Nigerian girls they kidnapped.

We’ve been treated by the image of a frowning Michelle Obama and several Liberal Hollywood Stars holding up poster boards featuring the hashtag #BringBackOurGirls, as if somehow, this futile gesture would convince this Muslim Barbarians to let go of all these girls whom they are selling as slaves, and forcing under threat of death, to convert to Islam from Christianity.

It is no wonder that after Obama was first elected, the British tabloids nicknamed him “President Pantywaist”, after watching the wussy way he bowed to world leaders…something American Presidents have never done before.

And, of course, through the Obama Administration’s embrace of this emasculating philosophy, this philosophy has extended into our military, with Obama’s “Military Experts” being more concerned about performing Social Engineering Experiments on our troops, such as ending “Don’t Ask. During the reign of the Obama Administration, a concentrated and deliberate effort has been made to change America from the land of Sgt. Alvin York to the land of RuPaul.

The reason that presidents like Ronald Reagan were so successful was that they were American men first and United States Presidents second. They were raised with Traditional American Values. They were raised by loving parents who disciplined them when they needed it, along the way, teaching them the difference between right and wrong, the love of God and Country, and the fact that the world did not revolve around them.

We can get back on the right track as a nation, however, it will take a man of Courage, Conviction,  and Traditional Christian American Faith & Values to lead our country back from the abyss we find ourselves in.

I pray that that man steps forward… while we still have a country.

Liberals Pushing “Moral Equivalency” Between American Christianity and Radical Islam

Islam cartoonRecently, I have heard and read from some of this “Me, First Generation” that there is not any difference between American Christianity and Radical Islam. Quite frankly, that’s like saying that there’s no difference between an in-ground swimming pool and a garden hose.

In Islam, the way to “walk with God and escape his judgement on that final day of judgment” is through ‘falah’, which means self-effort or positive achievement. The faithful must submit to God and follow all of his laws as found in the Koran. Judgment day in Islam involves some sort of measurement of what the believer has done wrong and what they have done right. And, even then, you might not be let into heaven if Allah decides you’re not good enough.

This is the direct opposite of Christianity.

According to the Bible, no man can ever be good enough to deserve God’s favor, to win God’s heaven, because from birth we have Free Will. This Free Will may cause us to reject God and live our lives our own way. That’s why it was necessary for Jesus Christ to die for our sins, covering us in His blood of the New Covenant.

God’s Word tells us that what we need is not ‘falah,’ but faith. To have faith in, to trust, to rely on Jesus and his death as as “the expiation for our sins”. Those who have been Saved by Jesus Christ can be sure that in the future God will welcome them into heaven with wide open arms, because they have been washed by His blood.

Obama,having attended school at an Indonesian Madrassa as a child, has been supportive of Muslims in America since his Presidency began.  In a speech he delivered to the Muslim world on June 4, 2009 at Cairo University, Obama said:

I know, too, that Islam has always been a part of America’s story. The first nation to recognize my country was Morocco. In signing the Treaty of Tripoli in 1796, our second President John Adams wrote, “The United States has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion or tranquility of Muslims.”

Time out, Scooter.  US President John Adams  also said:

The general principles on which the fathers achieved independence were the general principles of Christianity. I will avow that I then believed, and now believe, that those general principles of Christianity are as eternal and immutable as the existence and attributes of God.

Now, back to the Cairo Speech.

And since our founding, American Muslims have enriched the United States. They have fought in our wars, served in government, stood for civil rights, started businesses, taught at our Universities, excelled in our sports arenas, won Nobel Prizes, built our tallest building, and lit the Olympic Torch. And when the first Muslim-American was recently elected to Congress, he took the oath to defend our Constitution using the same Holy Koran that one of our Founding Fathers – Thomas Jefferson – kept in his personal library.

However, what the Liberal Main Stream Media never reported, and Obama chose to ignore, was the fact that Thomas Jefferson kept a Koran in his library in order to gain a better insight into the way Muslims think, because of the War with the Barbary Pirates.

Obama and his minions are trying desperately to rewrite history , by trying to somehow subliminally imply that Muslims go all the way back in our nation to the Founding Fathers.  That is not the case.

Islam and Christianity present two very different Deities, who may share some similarities, but who have different identities and ultimately different standards. To pretend they are the same is not only to be clueless of the faith of 78% of the citizens of this nation, but, to be ignorant of an integral part of our American Heritage, the legacy of Christian Faith, which our Founding Fathers bequeathed us.

Now, I am not saying that every Muslim is on a jihad against “the infidels”.

However…

When Christians become “radicalized”, we want to share the testimony of what God has done for us through His love, with everyone we meet. We get involved in our local church and we become better fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers, and American citizens.

When Muslims become “radicalized”, they want to “kill the Infidels” in the name of “Allah the Merciful”.

In the case of the Chechen Muslim brothers who bombed the Boston Marathon, their immersion into Radical Islam led them to “kill the infidels” that horrendous day.

For Liberals to deny that, is disingenuous at best, and just plain out-and-out lying at worst.

Mother’s Day 2014: Thanks For Life, Mother

mothersdayOn this Mothers Day, the report comes out from a National Meeting in my Hometown of Memphis, Tennessee, that some members of the Grand Old Party don’t particularly care whether others have the opportunity to live or not.

The Washington Times reported Friday that

Gay marriage and abortion, divisive issues within the Republican party, have flared again at the RNC’s meeting here, with Nevada’s delegation firing back at criticism of its April decision to remove anti-abortion and anti-gay language from its state platform.

Angered by an email from Oklahoma Republican National Committee member Carolyn McLarty that questioned its loyalty to the national party, the Nevada delegation sent a stinging rebuke to the 168-member national committee.

“The removal of two social issues from our platform does not mean that ‘we’ as individual people are ‘for’ gay marriage or ‘for’ abortion,” the email said. “The removal of these planks recognizes the inappropriateness of the existence of these planks in our platform in the first place.”

“We disagree with Committeewoman McLarty where she said ‘They are symptoms of the infiltration of the Republican Party by those who really want to destroy it,’ ” it said.

The delegation also took issue with Mrs. McLarty, an evangelical Protestant and staunch opponent of abortion, calling its action an “attack on God and family.”

“We are insulted by this accusation. Most of our delegates have deep spiritual beliefs,” the Nevada email said.

Grass-roots Republicans themselves are divided over whether abortion should be banned nationally by a constitutional amendment or whether it’s a matter of states’ discretion.

Some respected veteran RNC members were not pleased with the Nevada action on abortion – in part because there is widespread agreement among RNC members that the Democratic party is the party sympathetic to abortion and the GOP has differentiated itself as the “pro-life” party – and because many RNC members are dedicated opponents of what they regard as “murder of the unborn.”

“The Nevada RNC member reported to her fellow RNC western region committee members the platform was ‘shortened “to benefit voters and candidates,’” Arizona RNC member Bruce Ash told The Washington Times.

“I raise the question of whether the Nevada GOP was exercising wise judgment by doing so as well as why these were the best to select,” Mr. Ash said.

But many Republicans agree the GOP must preserve its coalition of voters with disparate views.

I was “reared” (as we say in Dixie) by a Mother and Daddy (Southern colloquialism for a Male Parental Unit) who were members of the Greatest Generation. In fact, I was born 3 days before my mother’s 40th brithday. To this day, I believe that they were going to name me “Oops”.

My mother, like many Middle Class Southern Ladies, after World War II, was ahead of her time. Both her and My Daddy worked 20 years for Sears and Roebuck. And yet, she still had time to cook our meals, and be a single parent to me on those nights when my Daddy worked the late shift and had to help close up, and those Saturdays, when he had to work.

My mother was born in Dyersburg, TN, one of 7 children of a barber (5 girls and two boys). She and my Daddy both lived through the Great Depression and worked hard to make sure that my sisters and I had a good life.

Mother was very strict on us, pushing us to excel. My late step-sister, the oldest, took piano lessons for several years, and played beautifully. My older sister also played piano, acted in school plays, and sang in choirs. She too has been a hard-working mother, working full-time and raising two wonderful children, who are now grown.

My Mother was a strict disciplinarian, always pushing me to do better. If I brought home a “B”, she would tell me I should have gotten a “A”. Because of her, I wound up graduating high school 30th in a class of 360, with a GPA of 3.54.

My view of the world around me was shaped and nurtured by her and my Daddy, a Christian American, and the finest man I’ve ever known, who served with an Army Engineering Unit, as a Master Sergeant, in World War II, and who jumped off of a perfectly good boat into a hail of gunfire to join his American Brothers in the tide-turning American Victory known as “D-Day”.

My Mother and Daddy taught me what it was to be a hard-working, Middle Class Christian American Conservative….and, to be proud of it.

Now, on Mothers day, as I look at this totally messed-up popular culture around me, brought to us by the “Me, First!” Generation, I thank God that my Mother gave me the Gift of Life and did not take the “easy way out” at 40 years of age.

If Liberals, on both sides of the aisle, (because you cannot claim Conservatism, if you want to kill babies) would only perform a self-assessment, and come to the realization that the life inside a human mother’s womb, is in fact, a HUMAN BEING, and not “a bunch of cells,”, “a parasitic life form”, or “an inconvenience”, then abortion would go the way of the rotary telephone.

Unfortunately, though, when you have a president whose first act, upon obtaining the office, was to authorize American Taxpayers’ money be sent to abortion clinics around the world, and who said,

Look, I got two daughters — 9 years old and 6 years old. I am going to teach them first about values and morals, but if they make a mistake, I don’t want them punished with a baby. I don’t want them punished with an STD at age 16, so it doesn’t make sense to not give them information,

that probably is not going to happen anytime soon.

However, we can still pray for our nation’s unborn. And, keep fighting the good fight!

America is in Crisis? The Devil You Say.

Satan StatueWithin the last week, two stories about the Lightbearer have been in the public eye.

No, I’m not talking about President Obama, I am talking about the original Lightbearer, the fallen angel Lucifer, better known as Satan, or, in colloquial terms, the Devil.

Here is story #1, as reported by foxnews.com:

A satanic group commissioned a statue of the devil, raising money to pay a sculptor who it won’t identify, as a way of protesting the Sooner State’s placement of a Ten Commandments monument on the Statehouse lawn in Oklahoma City. The statue, being sculpted in a New York studio, is nearly complete, according to Lucien Greaves, spokesman for the Satanic Temple.

“We’re really coming along fast,” said Greaves, whose group claims to have raised more than $20,000 for the project through an online crowd-funding site.

“There will never be a satanic monument on the grounds of the Oklahoma State Capitol and the suggestion that there might be is absurd.”

The statue of the Baphomet, or Sabbatic Goat, a figure that has been used to represent Satan for centuries, is to be made of bronze, poured over a clay mold. Images provided to FoxNews.com show the hideous figure on a throne, with smiling children at each knee. Greaves’ organization seeks to force Oklahoma to allow placement of their statue or demonstrate what it considers an unconstitutional double standard.

Oklahoma officials say there is no way in hell that a statue of Satan will ever assume a position at the Capitol.

“There will never be a satanic monument on the grounds of the Oklahoma State Capitol and the suggestion that there might be is absurd,” Alex Weintz, spokesman for Gov. Mary Fallin, said in a statement to FoxNews.com.

Pictures of the partially-completed monument were first posted on Vice.

The Satanic Temple hatched the plan last December after the Ten Commandments monument, presented as a gift from state Rep. Mike Ritze, was placed on the lawn. Because it was a donation, state officials declared that it was permissible to place it on state property. But that prompted Greaves and the Satanic Temple to say they could do the same with a monument of their own.

“When we reach out to them and told them of our intentions, the response we got was asking for the design sketches but we never heard back from them,” Greaves said. “As soon as we are ready, we will reach back out to them.”

A Harvard University student club set to host a satanic black mass reenactment to celebrate witchcraft and satanic worship announced on its website that it will not use a consecrated host during the event.

The Harvard Extension Cultural Studies Club has organized a May 12 black mass reenactment at the Queen’s Head Pub, which is on campus. The announcement has drawn criticism because these masses typically mock Catholic teachings, MyFoxBoston.com reported.

“Our purpose is not to denigrate any religion or faith, which would be repugnant to our educational purposes, but instead learn and experience the history of different cultural practices,” the club’s statement said. The statement went on to say that the mass will use a piece of bread but will “unequivocally” not use a consecrated host.

The performance will be conducted by The Satanic Temple, a group known to stir up controversy.

The Archdiocese of Boston fired back with this response, “The Catholic community in the Archdiocese of Boston expresses its deep sadness and strong opposition to the plan to stage a black mass on the campus of Harvard University in Cambridge.”

“In a recent statement, Pope Francis warned of the danger of being naïve about or underestimating the power of Satan, whose evil is too often tragically present in our midst. We call upon all believers and people of good will to join us in prayer for those who are involved in this event, that they may come to appreciate the gravity of their actions, and in asking Harvard to disassociate itself from this activity,” the statement said.

The Harvard Extension School says the school “Does not endorse the views or activities of any independent student organization. But we do support the rights of our students and faculty to speak and assemble freely.”

 

So, why are these stories concerning Satan of so much national interest.

The fact of the matter is that 77 percent of Americans proclaim Christ as their personal Savior. So, therefore, if you believe in Christ you also believe that Satan, the living persona of evil in the world, also exists.

The problem we face, in this “Me First! Era”, is the fact that self-adulation narcissism, believing that you, yourself, are your own Creator, leaves an open doorway for “Ol’ Scratch” to move right on in to your life.

Consider this Op Ed by Noah Guirney, published today on BostonGlobe.com:

Since 2012, a statue of the Ten Commandments has graced the lawn outside the Oklahoma State Capitol in Oklahoma City. Now, it’s time for Satan to take his place, there too.

A group from New York called the Satanic Temple has raised more than $28,000 on the crowdfunding site Indiegogo to commission a bronze statue of Lucifer, the design of which has recently been released to the public. While many of the project’s backers are Satanists — as in, they worship Satan — the piece is actually intended to make a broader point: That a statue of the Ten Commandments on public property seems to violate the establishment clause of the First Amendment, which separates church and state. (This view is also held by the ACLU, which is challenging the Oklahoma government’s right to display the Ten Commandments.)

Lucien Greaves, a spokesman for the Satanic Temple, told ABC News that the Satanic piece of art — complete with pentagram and goat head — will “celebrate our progress as a pluralistic nation founded on secular law.”

In truth, the line separating the majority religion of the United States and the government has long been blurred. On Tuesday, the Supreme Court found that the town of Greece, New York could open its town meetings with prayers from guest preachers — the vast majority of whom were Christian, and often directly invoked Jesus Christ.

That’s precisely why this is such a brilliant idea, perhaps even moreso than your standard-issue civil liberties lawsuit. A statue of Satan displayed on public property would no doubt offend Christians. But in a country without a state religion, that shouldn’t matter, and Greaves and his ilk are right to point that out.

If Oklahoma’s Capitol Preservation Committee – which issues permits for statues on the Capitol ground – feels that a statue of the Ten Commandments on public grounds is compatible with a Constitution that protects the rights of all Americans, then the group shouldn’t have any issue with a statue of Satan, either. But if, as I suspect, the horned deity gives Oklahoma officials the heebie-jeebees, they should think about how their current statue looks to Satanists. Or, for that matter, to Buddhists, Hindus, atheists, or Christians who see the separation of church and state as a deeply important tenet of American democracy.

People like this idiot, who take the existence Satan lightly, eventually wind up in some sort of trouble, and those who worship Satan wind up in even greater trouble.

Back in the 1960s, the late, beautiful actress Jayne Mansfield posed for a series of publicity pictures with the Head Priest of the Church of Satan, Anton LaVey. The pictures showing her with LaVey, included several shots of taking their version of Communion, simulating drinking blood from a goblet, offered by the priest. She even wore a pink and black medallion of Satan and the goat-headed Baphomet, simular to the Oklahoma statue, to the 1966 San Francisco Film Festival. Later, the beautiful actress died in a freak car accident in which she was decapitated.

Now, far be it for me the link one to the other. That is up for you to decide for yourself.

Now, how can I claim that all this upheaval our nation is facing is due to some sort of Satanic Influence attempting to tip the scales in the in the fight between Good and Evil, across our land?

Noah Webster (EVOLUTIONARY SOLDIER; JUDGE; LEGISLATOR; EDUCATOR; “SCHOOLMASTER TO AMERICA”), wrote

The moral principles and precepts found in the Scriptures ought to form the basis of all our civil constitutions and laws.

All the… evils which men suffer from vice, crime, ambition, injustice, oppression, slavery and war, proceed from their despising or neglecting the precepts contained in the Bible.131

[O]ur citizens should early understand that the genuine source of correct republican principles is the Bible, particularly the New Testament, or the Christian religion.

[T]he Christian religion is the most important and one of the first things in which all children under a free government ought to be instructed. No truth is more evident than that the Christian religion must be the basis of any government intended to secure the rights and privileges of a free people.

The Bible is the chief moral cause of all that is good and the best corrector of all that is evil in human society – the best book for regulating the temporal concerns of men.

[T]he Christian religion… is the basis, or rather the source, of all genuine freedom in government… I am persuaded that no civil government of a republican form can exist and be durable in which the principles of Christianity have not a controlling influence.

The reason that our nation is facing the difficulties we are is the belief by those who proclaim themselves to be the “smartest people in the room”, that they are above the old-fashioned, passe notions of morality and ethics, good and evil, and the Sovereignty of God.

They have made a grave mistake.

Evil exists and these fools opened the door to Satan in our society a long time ago.

When it all comes crashing down around them, what are they going to say?

The War Against Christianity: Is American Beyond Redemption?

American FreedomHas the moral and ethical fiber of the greatest country on the face of God’s Green Earth, been irrevocably ripped apart? Should we all start preparing for another Biblical Flood, as in the days of Noah (the real one…not the politically-correct, ecological one)?

Is mankind evolving into a more peaceful and prosperous people – or are we on a path toward ever-increasing moral depravity, social chaos and destruction?

Answering that dichotomy depends on one’s worldview, but Christian author Jeff Kinley is in the latter camp, telling TheBlaze that he sees human beings continuously and perilously cutting God out of society.

“I look around my world and I think, ‘Wow, we’ve written God out of our own story here,’” Kinley recently said in an interview. “We’re content in living in our own lives.”

The author, who believes Noah, the flood and the ark unfolded as the Bible recounts, draws parallels between contemporary culture and the “pandemic godlessness of the earth” during Noah’s in his new book “As It Was in the Days of Noah.”

Human behavior then and now, he posits, isn’t all that different.

“Humanity had forgotten God so literally every man just did what they thought was right in their own eyes,” Kinley said of the days of Noah.

As for the current conditions, the author described what he sees as “pandemic unrestrained immorality” and “a falling away of the purity of faith.”

Kinley proceeded to describe how society’s current treatment of God mirrors the Bible’s depiction of the “end times” – a time-frame in Christian theology that precedes the Earth’s end.

While he said it’s impossible to judge when the end times might unfold, Kinley described the current conditions as matching those presented in the Bible, citing Matthew 24, among other references.

“As we ramp up to the end times, there’s going to be, as Romans 1 describes, a simmering hostility against God, against biblical morality,” Kinley told TheBlaze.

Kinley repeatedly spoke against the removal of God from society, saying that it leaves mankind to his own devices, creating a horizontal rather than vertical morality – one in which there is a “sliding scale of morality.”

Citing gay marriage, which is now legal for the first time “perhaps since the days of Noah itself,” Kinley said that human beings are creating new ways of doing things based on shifting standards.

The author also mentioned Israel’s reemergence as a prophetic sign as well.

So, is America beyond Redemption?

It troubles me to no end that, even though I know, in my heart of hearts, that there are plenty of average Americans who are just as upset over the dilapidated moral and fiscal condition of “the shining city on a hill” as I am, there are times when I feel like the little Dutch boy, with his finger in the dike, desperately trying to hold back the flood waters, which are about to destroy everything in its path.

I know that civilizations come and go. I am a student of history, and I have read about the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire. Their incredibly advanced governmental, military, and architectural legacy was eclipsed by situational ethics, immorality. and governmental corruption, caused by enemies foreign and domestic.

Sound familiar?

The United States of America has been one of the most noble undertakings in the history of mankind.

Our Founding Fathers came here to escape religious persecution. Not to get away from religion , as both Liberals, and their unwitting dupes, attempt to claim as truth.

John Adams, a signer of the Declaration of Independence and Second President of the United States said..

It is religion and morality alone which can establish the principles upon which freedom can securely stand. The only foundation of a free constitution is pure virtue.

So, how did we get to where we are?

Today 78% of Americans still believe that Jesus Christ is their personal Savior. You wouldn’t know that fact from exposure to our American Media, nor from following the anti-Christian actions of our present Administration.

The problem though, is the fact that man is a fallen creature. There was only one Perfect Man. We all fall short of the Glory of God.

There will be no escape for America from this downward spiral we find ourselves in, without Revival in the Land.

Just as addicts, going through the 12-step program, are told to reach out for spiritual help, so should we, as a sovereign nation, bought with the sweat and blood of our fallen, who fought for an ideal much greater than themselves, so that this Blessed Land, UNDER GOD, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all, should not perish from the face of God’s green Earth, seek the help of the God of our Fathers, to reclaim The Promise that is America.

High Schoolers in Colorado Recite the Pledge of Allegiance in Arabic. Why it Matters.

pledgeofallegianceLast Monday, someone in the student-led Cultural Arms Club at Rocky Mountain High School in Fort Collins, Colorado decided that it would be cool and appropriate, if they said the Pledge of Allegiance in Arabic.

That’s right. Instead of saying “One Nation Under God”, these high school students in Colorado pledged that America was “One Nation Under Allah”… and evidently, did not think a thing about it.

Seriously?

Back in October, 2010, I posted a Blog titled “The Pledge and the Progressives”, about an incident of spontaneous patriotism that happened at the beginning of a candidates forum with 8th Congressional District candidates Joe Walsh, Melissa Bean and Bill Scheurer at Grayslake Central High School.

According to Illinois’ top League of Women Voters official, “phony patriotism” was driving criticism over a moderator’s reaction when she was asked if the Pledge of Allegiance would be recited before an 8th Congressional District debate.

Executive Director Jan Czarnik said what happened and the firestorm of criticism afterward, directed at moderator Kathy Tate-Bradish, was an attempt by supporters of Republican candidate Joe Walsh of McHenry and tea party members to bully the organization.

Czarnik said someone was not a better American just by reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.
This clueless woman said:

It’s a phony patriotism issue is what it is.  They must think it helps their campaign.

Brought in from the League of Women Voters Evanston branch because she didn’t live in the 8th Congressional District, Tate-Bradish handled the event at Grayslake Central High School that featured Democratic U.S. Rep. Melissa Bean of Barrington, the Green Party’s Bill Scheurer and Walsh.

As you heard in the video, Tate-Bradish was asked by a man in the audience whether the Pledge of Allegiance would be recited after she went over some ground rules and directed the candidates to make opening statements.

As Tate-Bradish condescendingly explained that the debate was not scheduled to start with the pledge, almost all in the crowd of more than 300 stood and enthusiastically recited it anyway.

Tate-Bradish, who joined in the pledge, issued a scolding, like a petulant schoolmarm, when the crowd finished.

Walsh campaign manager Nick Provenzano still does not understand why Tate-Bradish did not appear to welcome the Pledge of Allegiance suggestion. He said it was spontaneous and not orchestrated by Walsh’s campaign.

He said:

That neutral stance (by Tate-Bradish) toward the Pledge of Allegiance is troublesome.

Not just troublesome, sir.  Borderline treasonous.

Tate-Bradish stood by her unpatriotic actions and said she had been surprised by personal attacks directed toward her on the Internet since the forum, particularly posts stating she “hates America.” ( I’m shocked, I tell you.  Shocked.)  She claims that she ran the debate in the format established by some Grayslake High students and agreed to by all three candidates, none of whom asked for the pledge in advance.

She petulantly whined:

It’s pretty patriotic to run forums in election seasons where every candidate can be heard and they’re not stomped on.

Island Lake resident Joseph Ptak, a Walsh supporter, come forward later to admit that he asked for the pledge at the debate. Provenzano said he was not certain who made the request.

Ptak, 58, a U.S. Air Force veteran, said the pledge was a proper way to begin the event that was in a high school and had student participation. He said many veterans were in the audience, and he objects to Czarnik questioning the request’s sincerity.

Ptak said:

I’m a Joe Walsh supporter, but first and foremost I’m an American.

Bean spokesman Jonathan Lipman declined to comment.

Somehow, I don’t doubt that.

Progressives are only loyal to themselves.

Growing up in the Heartland of America, starting in elementary school, every student said the Pledge of Allegiance every morning, facing the American Flag in the corner of our classroom with our hands placed firmly over our hearts.

And, I can tell you from first hand experience, that act of allegiance and reverence for our country still takes place every morning in schools across this country, including those here in Mississippi.

Why is this done?

Is it some sort of arcane ritual that has no meaning in this Modern America, where our Liberal politicians preach that diversity is what makes America strong and that the “Melting Pot” image of a unified America is no longer relevant?

Liberals, all over the Internet, have been asking what difference does it make that these kids decided to recite the Pledge of Allegiance in Arabic?

I’m glad you asked, Libs.

The Pledge of Allegiance is more than just words being said to an inanimate object.

Just as America’s Founding Fathers pledged “their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor” to one another, as they fought to secure our American Freedom from the forces of tyranny, every time Americans recite our Pledge of Allegiance, we are pledging our loyalty to each other as Americans, and to our country.

This is not a pledge to be taken lightly. This is not a pledge which was designed to be said in the language of our enemies.

This is a pledge which was meant to be said sincerely and said in a way that honors the flag of our country, a symbol which brave men have fought and died for in defense of our liberty.

As I have written before, my friend Johnny McDonald once wrote that “liberty is freedom with responsibility”. Our nation’s Pledge of Allegiance is a pledge of responsibility… a responsibility to keep America “The Shining City on a Hill”… a country where legal immigrants can begin their new lives as Americans…”one nation under God with liberty and justice for all”.

Maybe those High School Students in Colorado were never properly explained the meaning of the Pledge of Allegiance?  As I take my leave today, America’s Clown Prince, Mr. Richard (Red) Skelton, will explain it, so that even they might understand.  God Bless America!
