Trump Decertifies Obama’s Failed Iranian Nuclear “Deal” – A KJ Analysis

Yesterday, the 45th President of the United States of America, Donald J. Trump, delivered a blockbuster speech in which he decertified the failed Iranian Nuclear Deal of his predecessor, Barack Hussein Obama. I am posting the speech in its entirety for those of you who missed it. My remarks on the speech will follow…

Thank you very much. My fellow Americans: As President of the United States, my highest obligation is to ensure the safety and security of the American people.

History has shown that the longer we ignore a threat, the more dangerous that threat becomes. For this reason, upon taking office, I’ve ordered a complete strategic review of our policy toward the rogue regime in Iran. That review is now complete.

Today, I am announcing our strategy, along with several major steps we are taking to confront the Iranian regime’s hostile actions and to ensure that Iran never, and I mean never, acquires a nuclear weapon.

Our policy is based on a clear-eyed assessment of the Iranian dictatorship, its sponsorship of terrorism, and its continuing aggression in the Middle East and all around the world.

Iran is under the control of a fanatical regime that seized power in 1979 and forced a proud people to submit to its extremist rule. This radical regime has raided the wealth of one of the world’s oldest and most vibrant nations, and spread death, destruction, and chaos all around the globe.

Beginning in 1979, agents of the Iranian regime illegally seized the U.S. embassy in Tehran and held more than 60 Americans hostage during the 444 days of the crisis. The Iranian-backed terrorist group Hezbollah twice bombed our embassy in Lebanon — once in 1983 and again in 1984. Another Iranian-supported bombing killed 241 Americans — service members they were, in their barracks in Beirut in 1983.

In 1996, the regime directed another bombing of American military housing in Saudi Arabia, murdering 19 Americans in cold blood.

Iranian proxies provided training to operatives who were later involved in al Qaeda’s bombing of the American embassies in Kenya, Tanzania, and two years later, killing 224 people, and wounding more than 4,000 others.

The regime harbored high-level terrorists in the wake of the 9/11 attacks, including Osama bin Laden’s son. In Iraq and Afghanistan, groups supported by Iran have killed hundreds of American military personnel.

The Iranian dictatorship’s aggression continues to this day. The regime remains the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism, and provides assistance to al Qaeda, the Taliban, Hezbollah, Hamas, and other terrorist networks. It develops, deploys, and proliferates missiles that threaten American troops and our allies. It harasses American ships and threatens freedom of navigation in the Arabian Gulf and in the Red Sea. It imprisons Americans on false charges. And it launches cyberattacks against our critical infrastructure, financial system, and military.

The United States is far from the only target of the Iranian dictatorship’s long campaign of bloodshed. The regime violently suppresses its own citizens; it shot unarmed student protestors in the street during the Green Revolution.

This regime has fueled sectarian violence in Iraq, and vicious civil wars in Yemen and Syria. In Syria, the Iranian regime has supported the atrocities of Bashar al-Assad’s regime and condoned Assad’s use of chemical weapons against helpless civilians, including many, many children.

Given the regime’s murderous past and present, we should not take lightly its sinister vision for the future. The regime’s two favorite chants are “Death to America” and “Death to Israel.”

Realizing the gravity of the situation, the United States and the United Nations Security Council sought, over many years, to stop Iran’s pursuit of nuclear weapons with a wide array of strong economic sanctions.

But the previous administration lifted these sanctions, just before what would have been the total collapse of the Iranian regime, through the deeply controversial 2015 nuclear deal with Iran. This deal is known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, or JCPOA.

As I have said many times, the Iran Deal was one of the worst and most one-sided transactions the United States has ever entered into. The same mindset that produced this deal is responsible for years of terrible trade deals that have sacrificed so many millions of jobs in our country to the benefit of other countries. We need negotiators who will much more strongly represent America’s interest.

The nuclear deal threw Iran’s dictatorship a political and economic lifeline, providing urgently needed relief from the intense domestic pressure the sanctions had created. It also gave the regime an immediate financial boost and over $100 billion dollars its government could use to fund terrorism.

The regime also received a massive cash settlement of $1.7 billion from the United States, a large portion of which was physically loaded onto an airplane and flown into Iran. Just imagine the sight of those huge piles of money being hauled off by the Iranians waiting at the airport for the cash. I wonder where all that money went.

Worst of all, the deal allows Iran to continue developing certain elements of its nuclear program. And importantly, in just a few years, as key restrictions disappear, Iran can sprint towards a rapid nuclear weapons breakout. In other words, we got weak inspections in exchange for no more than a purely short-term and temporary delay in Iran’s path to nuclear weapons.

What is the purpose of a deal that, at best, only delays Iran’s nuclear capability for a short period of time? This, as President of the United States, is unacceptable. In other countries, they think in terms of 100-year intervals, not just a few years at a time.

The saddest part of the deal for the United States is that all of the money was paid up front, which is unheard of, rather than at the end of the deal when they have shown they’ve played by the rules. But what’s done is done, and that’s why we are where we are.

Iranian regime has committed multiple violations of the agreement. For example, on two separate occasions, they have exceeded the limit of 130 metric tons of heavy water. Until recently, the Iranian regime has also failed to meet our expectations in its operation of advanced centrifuges.

The Iranian regime has also intimidated international inspectors into not using the full inspection authorities that the agreement calls for.

Iranian officials and military leaders have repeatedly claimed they will not allow inspectors onto military sites, even though the international community suspects some of those sites were part of Iran’s clandestine nuclear weapons program.

There are also many people who believe that Iran is dealing with North Korea. I am going to instruct our intelligence agencies to do a thorough analysis and report back their findings beyond what they have already reviewed.

By its own terms, the Iran Deal was supposed to contribute to “regional and international peace and security.” And yet, while the United States adheres to our commitment under the deal, the Iranian regime continues to fuel conflict, terror, and turmoil throughout the Middle East and beyond. Importantly, Iran is not living up to the spirit of the deal.

So today, in recognition of the increasing menace posed by Iran, and after extensive consultations with our allies, I am announcing a new strategy to address the full range of Iran’s destructive actions.

First, we will work with our allies to counter the regime’s destabilizing activity and support for terrorist proxies in the region.

Second, we will place additional sanctions on the regime to block their financing of terror.

Third, we will address the regime’s proliferation of missiles and weapons that threaten its neighbors, global trade, and freedom of navigation.

And finally, we will deny the regime all paths to a nuclear weapon.

Today, I am also announcing several major steps my administration is taking in pursuit of this strategy.

The execution of our strategy begins with the long-overdue step of imposing tough sanctions on Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. The Revolutionary Guard is the Iranian Supreme Leader’s corrupt personal terror force and militia. It has hijacked large portions of Iran’s economy and seized massive religious endowments to fund war and terror abroad. This includes arming the Syrian dictator, supplying proxies and partners with missiles and weapons to attack civilians in the region, and even plotting to bomb a popular restaurant right here in Washington, D.C.

I am authorizing the Treasury Department to further sanction the entire Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps for its support for terrorism and to apply sanctions to its officials, agents, and affiliates. I urge our allies to join us in taking strong actions to curb Iran’s continued dangerous and destabilizing behavior, including thorough sanctions outside the Iran Deal that target the regime’s ballistic missile program, in support for terrorism, and all of its destructive activities, of which there are many.

Finally, on the grave matter of Iran’s nuclear program: Since the signing of the nuclear agreement, the regime’s dangerous aggression has only escalated. At the same time, it has received massive sanctions relief while continuing to develop its missiles program. Iran has also entered into lucrative business contracts with other parties to the agreement.

When the agreement was finalized in 2015, Congress passed the Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act to ensure that Congress’s voice would be heard on the deal. Among other conditions, this law requires the President, or his designee, to certify that the suspension of sanctions under the deal is “appropriate and proportionate” to measure — and other measures taken by Iran to terminate its illicit nuclear program. Based on the factual record I have put forward, I am announcing today that we cannot and will not make this certification.

We will not continue down a path whose predictable conclusion is more violence, more terror, and the very real threat of Iran’s nuclear breakout.

That is why I am directing my administration to work closely with Congress and our allies to address the deal’s many serious flaws so that the Iranian regime can never threaten the world with nuclear weapons. These include the deal’s sunset clauses that, in just a few years, will eliminate key restrictions on Iran’s nuclear program.

The flaws in the deal also include insufficient enforcement and near total silence on Iran’s missile programs. Congress has already begun the work to address these problems. Key House and Senate leaders are drafting legislation that would amend the Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act to strengthen enforcement, prevent Iran from developing an inter- — this is so totally important — an intercontinental ballistic missile, and make all restrictions on Iran’s nuclear activity permanent under U.S. law. So important. I support these initiatives.

However, in the event we are not able to reach a solution working with Congress and our allies, then the agreement will be terminated. It is under continuous review, and our participation can be cancelled by me, as President, at any time.

As we have seen in North Korea, the longer we ignore a threat, the worse that threat becomes. It is why we are determined that the world’s leading sponsor of terrorism will never obtain nuclear weapons.

In this effort, we stand in total solidarity with the Iranian regime’s longest-suffering victims: its own people. The citizens of Iran have paid a heavy price for the violence and extremism of their leaders. The Iranian people long to — and they just are longing, to reclaim their country’s proud history, its culture, its civilization, its cooperation with its neighbors.

We hope that these new measures directed at the Iranian dictatorship will compel the government to reevaluate its pursuit of terror at the expense of its people.

We hope that our actions today will help bring about a future of peace, stability, and prosperity in the Middle East –- a future where sovereign nations respect each other and their own citizens.

We pray for a future where young children — American and Iranian, Muslim, Christian, and Jewish — can grow up in a world free from violence, hatred, and terror.

And, until that blessed day comes, we will do what we must to keep America safe.

Thank you, God bless you, and God bless America. Thank you.

The 44th President of the United States of America, Barack Hussein Obama, certainly left our Sovereign Nation in a precarious position.

Obama purposely and surreptitiously handed a Rogue State of Radical Muslim Barbarians the means of the destruction of both the United States of America and our staunch ally, Israel.

What made the Former President of these United States, Barack Hussein Obama, trust Iran, an enemy of freedom, to stand by its “Agreement” to refrain from nuking the United States of America and Israel?

With no assurances or ways to keep them in check, Obama gave them everything they wanted: their money, nuclear capability, and acquiescence by the Government of the United States of America.

Just look at the way that Iran, the world’s largest State Sponsor of Radical Islamic Terrorism has behaved since Obama’s “Nuclear Agreement”, which the President outlined so clearly in his speech.

Barack Hussein Obama was a spineless jellyfish as a President. And, as I have repeatedly written, he had clearly risen to his level of incompetence. The Radical Islamists who run the country of Iran, the Mad Mullahs,

The Mullahs knew exactly who Obama was and what he was. They knew that they could get their way with him and they were not afraid of him.

President Trump, however, is another matter.

He is not a professional politician whose priority is political expediency. He is someone who ran for office because he genuinely wanted to make a difference and serve his Nation. His Foreign Policy of America First is not just a slogan. It is his political ideology and strong firm belief that we are greatest nation on God’s green Earth.

President Trump’s speech yesterday, like his speech in front of the United Nations, has been judged to have been excellent and has already been compared to President Ronald Reagan’s “Evil Empire” speech.

Trump outlined the reasons why he is decertifying Obama’s awful deal and the reasons why we cannot allow the barbaric regime of Iran to have nuclear weapons.

Anyone who is still defending Obama’s unenforceable, ineffective deal instead of cheering President  Trump’s resolute and declarative statement of America’s right to remain and safe and Sovereign Nation, let’s go ahead and move tiran and see how it is to live in a country run by Radical Islamists.

As for myself, I will stay safe from here in the land of the free and the home of the brave, giving thanks I have a strong president who loves my country and wants it to remain safe as much as I do.

Pelosi Pushes to Pass Law to Limit the President’s Power to Launch Nukes First

nanpelosi

“North Korea best not make any more threats to the United States. They will be met with the fire and fury like the world has never seen. He (Kim Jong Un) has been very threatening beyond a normal state, and as I said, they will be met with the fire and fury and, frankly, power the likes of which this world has never seen before.” – President Donald J. Trump

CNSNews.com reports that

Any legislation regarding the first-use of nuclear weapons by the United States must be bipartisan and apply to all current and future U.S. presidents, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) told a news conference on Thursday.

“I put this in the category of urgent. We take an oath to protect and defend,” she said.

Pelosi said an “ancient” law, dating back to 1946, currently authorizes the president of the United States to exercise the first use of nuclear weapons. “It was in a different world, and now I think it is necessary for us to address it,” she said of the 1946 law.

“There are all kinds of proposals out there, one saying — declaring the United States of America will not engage in first use of a nuclear weapon. I like that one best.”

Pelosi said other proposals would require the president to get the advice of “some people in his cabinet,” to be determined, before launching a nuclear first strike.

“So, more to come on that. I believe that as we go forward with anything like that, it has to be in a bipartisan way, because it’s about all presidents, no matter who (he) or she may be down the road.”

A reporter asked Pelosi if Congress’s sudden attention to no-first-use has something to do with concerns that President Trump will launch a nuclear weapon at North Korea and lead the U.S. into World War III, as Sen. Bob Corker suggested recently.

“Well, this doesn’t’ really have to do with him, it has to do with the presidency of any president,” Pelosi said. “Now, I remind, if our country is attacked, the War Powers Act triggers for the executive any and all powers. But there is interest in the U.S. establishing itself as no first use.

President Trump often has scorned the notion of presidents letting the enemy know ahead of time what the United States may or may not do.

Of course he doesn’t want our enemies to know what we may or may not do. Who do you think he is…Barack Hussein Obama?

Of course, the old bi…err…bat wants to take control of the defense of our nation away from President Donald J. Trump.

She knows that the 45th President of the United States of America takes his job very seriously, as the world found out in his first address to the United Nations, which was very well received by those nations whose opinions actually matter.

Trump is not the madman that Pelosi tries to infer him to be.

Rather, he listens to his Cabinet and, so far, his Foreign Policy Maneuvers have been measured and precise.

Those who would violence against America now know that there is a “new sheriff in town”.

They are no longer dealing with Petulant President Pantywaist, who went on a World Apology Tour as soon as he got into office.

We are facing the very real possibility that the little  Korean Madman, Kim Jong Un, is going to launch nuclear missiles at us.

While no President can control the actions of other countries, in their own affairs, the position of President of the United States has not historically been referred to as the Leader of the Free World for no reason.

That position has historically been the Vanguard in the fight against despotism and tyranny.

Unfortunately, for lovers of freedom the world over, instead of being the leader that the world and America itself needed, Barack Hussein Obama instead was an example of the Peter Principle.

He rose to his level of incompetence.

Obama believed in a “Chamberlain-esque” Foreign Policy of appeasement, consisting of vague warnings, pay-offs, and drawing red lines in the sand.

It didn’t work.

His continuance of the Democratic Strategy which began at the end of the Korean War of “kicking the can down the road”, instead of standing up and dealing with North Korea has led to the 45th President having to deal with a Nuclear North Korea led by a despotic madman with his finger on the button.

Our President’s plain-spoken warning of “fire and fury” to the little Korean Madman, Kim Jung Un, was entirely appropriate and needed to be said.

Regardless of the “Concerned Handwringing” from the usual suspects, including “San Fran Nan” Pelosi, the old bi…err…bat..

Much to their angst and chagrin, President Donald J. Trump appears to be adopting President Ronald Reagan’s Foreign Policy of “Peace Through Strength.”

And, unlike his ineffectual Democrat Predecessors, President Trump is willing to do whatever it takes to protect our Sovereign Nation.

Sebastian Gorka, President Trump’s Former Deputy Adviser on National Security Affairs, once said the following about politicians publicly second guessing the president on such  grave matters as North Korea.

“Anybody, whether a member of Congress or a journalist, who thinks [their] politics trumps the national security of America, that’s an indictment of you. You need to ask yourself: what’s more important? My political party or America. There’s only one correct answer to that.”

Pelosi, the old bi…err…bat, per usual, answered “wrongly”.

Trump Hints At Challenging Network’s Licenses to Stop Fake News. Upset Dems Forget About FDR and BHO Controlling the Media.

f1acf5fe98cf7a471cfa7ad7befdfcee

That big boom heard across the nation yesterday, was not some “Super Cell Storm”, as seen in the stupid Pro-Climate Change movie, “The Day After Tomorrow”.

It was actually the sphincters of all the executives at NBC/Comcast/Universal and the rest of network executives, slamming shut together in unison.

Reuters.com reports that

U.S. President Donald Trump suggested challenging licenses for NBC and other broadcast news networks following reports by NBC News that his secretary of state had called him a “moron” after a discussion of the U.S. nuclear arsenal.

“With all of the Fake News coming out of NBC and the Networks, at what point is it appropriate to challenge their License? Bad for country!” Trump, a Republican, wrote in a post on Twitter on Wednesday.

Trump and his supporters have repeatedly used the term “fake news” to cast doubt on media reports critical of his administration, often without providing any evidence to support their case that the reports were untrue.

Trump kept up his criticism of the media in an appearance with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, saying: “It is frankly disgusting the press is able to write whatever it wants to write.”

In a tweet late on Wednesday, Trump said: “Network news has become so partisan, distorted and fake that licenses must be challenged and, if appropriate, revoked. Not fair to public!”

Any move to challenge media companies’ licenses, however, would likely face significant hurdles.

The Federal Communications Commission, an independent federal agency, does not license broadcast networks, but issues them to individual broadcast stations that are renewed on a staggered basis for eight-year periods.

Comcast Corp, which owns NBC Universal, also owns 11 broadcast stations, including outlets in New York, Washington, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston, Dallas and Chicago.

A Comcast spokeswoman referred questions to NBC, which did not immediately respond.

ABC, owned by Walt Disney Co, declined to comment.

Shares in media companies fell, potentially reflecting concerns the war of words could worsen. Comcast was down 0.8 percent, while Disney shed 1.4 percent. CBS Corp fell 1.2 percent and Twenty-First Century Fox slid 2.8 percent.

Recon Analytics analyst Roger Entner called the market response a “short-term irrational knee-jerk reaction” and said Trump faced essentially insurmountable hurdles to getting licenses pulled.

A spokesman for FCC Chairman Ajit Pai did not immediately comment.

Gordon Smith, the chief executive of the National Association of Broadcasters, defended the media’s free speech rights.

“It is contrary to this fundamental right for any government official to threaten the revocation of an FCC license simply because of a disagreement with the reporting of a journalist,” Smith said in a statement.

ABC, owned by Walt Disney Co, declined to comment.

Numerous Democrats criticized Trump and urged Pai to denounce Trump’s comments.

Senator Ed Markey wrote Pai on Wednesday asking him to “withstand any urges from President Trump to harm the news media and infringe upon the First Amendment,” a reference to the U.S. Constitution’s free speech and press freedom guarantee.

Democratic U.S. Representative Frank Pallone said Trump “seemed to threaten broadcasters’ licenses only because he disagreed with their reporting. This threat alone could intimidate the press and lead to skewed and unfair reporting.”

FCC Commissioner Jessica Rosenworcel responded to Trump by tweeting a link to an FCC fact sheet. “Not how it works,” she said on Twitter.

‘FAIRNESS DOCTRINE’

When reviewing licenses the FCC must determine if a renewal is in the public interest, according to an agency fact sheet on its website.

The FCC said in the fact sheet it expects “station licensees to be aware of the important problems and issues facing their local communities and to foster public understanding by presenting programming that relates to those local issues.”

The agency does not issue similar licenses for cable networks such as CNN and MSNBC, or regulate internet news or other websites.

The FCC has said the First Amendment “expressly prohibits the commission from censoring broadcast matter” and that its role “in overseeing program content is very limited.”

In the early 1970s, then-President Richard Nixon and his top aides discussed using the FCC’s license renewal process as a way of punishing the Washington Post for its coverage of the Watergate burglary that ultimately brought down his presidency.

NBC News has reported on tensions between Trump and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, and has said Trump sought a dramatic increase in the U.S. nuclear arsenal during a meeting with national security advisers in July. NBC reported Tillerson made his “moron” comment after that meeting.

Trump on Saturday also suggested he should get “equal time” because of what he described as late-night television hosts’ “anti-Trump” material.

The FCC’s equal time rules apply in limited cases to air time for political candidates and not to criticism of elected leaders.

Trump may have been referring to the “Fairness Doctrine” that was designed to ensure broadcasters present opposing viewpoints about public issues. Republican President Ronald Reagan’s administration eliminated it in 1987.

What tickles me about all of this uproar from the Democrats over President Trump fighting back against the Main Stream Media is that fact that two of their heroes, Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Barack Hussein Obama, both Democrat Presidents, controlled the News Media during their Administration.

The following article, “Obama, F.D.R. and Taming the Press”, written by Jean Edward Smith, was published in the New York Times on February 2, 2009, shortly after Obama ascended to the Throne of the Regime.

The purpose of the article was to give Obama advice on how to handle the Press Corps.

…No president enjoyed more favorable press coverage than F.D.R., and no president worked more assiduously to cultivate it. Barack Obama got off to an awkward start with the White House press corps. He should patch things up the way Franklin Roosevelt did.

.. Rather than meet the press at a formal session in the East Room (as his predecessors had occasionally done), F.D.R. invited them into the Oval Office. Twice a week the White House press corps gathered around the president’s desk and fired away.

His predecessors Calvin Coolidge and Herbert Hoover had required the questions be submitted in advance and answered only those they wished to. Roosevelt fielded whatever the press tossed out. Correspondents could ask any question they wished, and the president answered off the cuff. But F.D.R. set the ground rules. He would not answer hypothetical questions or those “which for various reasons I do not wish to discuss, or am not ready to discuss, or I do not know anything about.”

…The press was charmed. At his first press conference, on March 8, 1933 — four days after assuming office — F.D.R. shook hands with each of the 125 reporters present, and then bantered with them for the next 40 minutes. He gave them virtually nothing in the way of hard news that they could use, but the informality set a tone that endured for the next 12 years.

Roosevelt even convinced the king of “Info-tainment”, the legendary Walter Winchell, to shill for him during World War II..

And, then, there was “The Lightbringer”, Petulant President Pantywaist himself, Barack Hussein Obama (mm mmm mmmm)…

In an article posted on AmericanThinker.com on May16,2013, titled “The Obama Mainstream Media Psychodrama”, Thomas Lifson wrote

With his Ivy League pedigree and ability to deliver a speech, Obama charmed the liberal media folk into believing that he was the one they had been waiting for, an inspiring black man on a white horse who could heal our lingering racial wounds, if only given the chance.  They hoped he could change an America their progressive belief system held to be flawed by racism, history, and greedy businessmen, and by helping him do so, they too could nudge history along in a positive direction.  Perhaps in their own minds making up for whatever personal flaws or unfair advantages they might have possessed along their way to the top of the media food chain.  Everyone wants to believe he or she is a good person, doing good things in the overall scheme of things, after all.

So they invested themselves in making the dream come true, attaching their self-concept to his cause. This is why information that was dissonant tended to evoke a rather widespread hostile reaction. Only racists and birthers could doubt any of the official Obama narrative. The Tea Party became an object of hatred, slander, and even physical attacks when it first appeared and threatened the Great Obama Project. When the tea partiers inflicted a serious blow to the political standing of Obama and the Democrats in the 2010 election, taking over the House, they became an obstacle to be removed.

The MSM did indeed try to silence the Tea Party and average Americans who lived between the coasts in general, throughout their 8 years of servitude as President Obama and the Democratic Party’s Propaganda Arm.

When they attempted to drag Hillary Clinton across the Finish Line in the 2016 Presidential Election, in order to continue Obama’s Presidency, those average Americans whom they silenced for 8 years, roared back with a vengeance, shouting down the MSM’s “Chosen One” at voting booths from sea to shining sea.

For the past 10 months, the dejected, bewildered, and unfathomably angry MSM has been attacking President Donald J Trump with an intensity rivaling that of Rosie O’ Donnell at an all-you-can eat buffet.

They simply do not care that they have been making up “news” stories. They figure that low I.Q. Voters will believe their garbage.

The President is well within his rights to come down on them hard. Especially when they start lying about our Foreign Policy. That is borderline treasonous and could very well get Americans who are serving our country killed.

If threatening to pull their licenses is what he has to do to get them to back off the 24/7 news cycle of unrelenting attacks against him and his Administration, more power to him.

President Trump may or may not be able to force the Main Stream Media to be fair.

But, he certainly can get their attention.

Until He Comes,

Trump 7 NFLPA 0 – Goodell: “Everyone Should Stand For the National Anthem”. What Happened? – A KJ Analysis

goodell-letter-nfl-696x365

Money makes the world go around
The world go around
The world go around
Money makes the world go around
It makes the world go ’round. – Liza Minnelli, Joel Grey, “Carbaret”, 1972

National Football League Commissioner Roger Goodell sent the following letter out yesterday.

To: Chief Executives/ Club Presidents
From: Commissioner Goodell
Date: October 10, 2017
Re: Fall Meeting/National Anthem

We live in a country that can feel very divided. Sports, and especially the NFL, brings people together and lets them set aside those divisions, at least for a few hours. The current dispute over the National Anthem is threatening to erode the unifying power of our game, and is now dividing us, and our players, from many fans across the country.

I’m very proud of our players and owners who have done the hard work over the past year to listen, understand and attempt to address the underlying issues within their communities. At our September committee meetings, we heard directly from several players about why these issues are so important to them and how we can support their work. And last week, we met with the leadership of the NFLPA and more players to advance the dialogue.

Like many of our fans, we believe that everyone should stand for the National Anthem. It is an important moment in our game. We want to honor our flag and our country, and our fans expect that of us. We also care deeply about our players and respect their opinions and concerns about critical social issues. The controversy over the Anthem is a barrier to having honest conversations and making real progress on the underlying issues. We need to move past this controversy, and we want to do that together with our players.

Building on many discussions with clubs and players, we have worked to develop a plan that we will review with you at next week’s League meeting. This would include such elements as an in-season platform to promote the work of our players on these core issues, and that will help to promote positive change in our country. We want to ensure that any work at the League level is consistent with the work that each club is doing in its own community, and that we dedicate a platform that can enable these initiatives to succeed. Additionally, we will continue the unprecedented dialogue with our players.

I expect and look forward to a full and open discussion of these issues when we meet next week in New York. Everyone involved in the game needs to come together on a path forward to continue to be a force for good within our communities, protect the game, and preserve our relationship with fans throughout the country. The NFL is at its best when we ourselves are unified. In that spirit, let’s resolve that next week we will meet this challenge in a unified and positive way.

Of course, there are those who are hollering that telling the NFL Players that they actually have to honor our nation and respect our flag by standing for our National Anthem while on the job, is somehow violating their “Constitutional Rights”.

It’s not.

Rush Limbaugh gave a great explanation of why on his program, yesterday…

If you went into McDonald’s, you wanted a Happy Meal and you had to sit there and listen to the clerk or the checkout person preach to you about police brutality and all, what would you do? Would you expect the media to come in and support the so-called right of free speech for McDonald’s employees to do this while you await your Happy Meal? Put yourself in any business and have the same thing happen and ask if you would be expected to sit there and put up with it and shut up and not disagree with it and understand they have a right. “They have a platform! They’re protesting the evils of America, and you have to listen to it.” What’d you do? You’d walk out of the place. You wouldn’t put up with it. You’d tell other people what happened, and nobody else would show up. Which is exactly what’s happening in the NFL. Last night’s ratings, Monday Night Football, in the tank, according to what I just saw.

Not a record low, but way, way down.

Now, you had better believe this when I tell you that the NFL has been hemorrhaging money. Attendance is down. Viewership is down. And, most importantly, REVENUE IS DOWN.

Why do you think that, all of a sudden, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, Obama Supporter, has done a 180 and now wants the Players to stand during the National Anthem, instead of taking a knee?

The problem Goodell has now is convincing the owners and the players to cooperate.

He is going to have to explain to the owners, that they are going to have to gain some intestinal fortitude and stand up to their players, with harsh discipline or permanent dismissal for those who will not follow League Rules.

If they are going to salvage any part of this season and avoid having a disastrous Super Bowl, action must be taken now, but, as Rush explained on his program yesterday, Trump is not going to back down.

…I told you: There’s no way the people standing for the right to oppose the flag, disrespecting the flag, the anthem, the military — no way that was gonna end up winning this. That Trump was gonna win it.“What’s happening?” Have you seen the TV ratings? Now you’ve got NBC and New Black Panther anchors calling for a boycott of the sponsors, to both the NFL and ESPN? (Unknowingly, I think.) You’ve got television ratings dropping. You have got fewer and fewer people going to the games. What’s happened is, the NFL’s learned who its audience is. What do you mean, “What’s happened?” (interruption) I know, they all were. They all were thinking this Trump guy’s a buffoon! He can’t tell us what to do! Our players are the greatest players in the world!”

This is why you keep fighting! This is why you don’t let the issue go, why you don’t let the media decide who wins and who loses it. There’s only one reason this happened, only one. No, that’s not true, because actually the fans made this happen. But without Donald Trump, the fans would not have been listened to. Without Donald Trump, the fans would have, “(Raspberry) you!” I guaran-damn-tee you, folks. I’m telling you, this IS what everybody’s talking about when they say, “You don’t win it all in one election.” Once you win the election, this is the kind of stand-up to this stuff that has to happen issue by issue.

I believe that what we are witnessing in the case of the backlash against the NFL Protesters is the same thing that happened on November 8, 2016.

Just like the Presidential Election, average Americans have decided that we have had enough of the intentional tearing apart of the fabric of our nation at the seams, for the sake of political expediency and selfish gain.

Just like the Democrats found out last November, average Americans will tolerate being abused and lectured to for only so long, before we let you know “how the cow ate the cabbage”.

Now the NFL Executives, including Goodell, are feverishly scrambling to somehow save the season, their jobs, and the owners’ investments.

We’ll see if average Americans buy this feverish bailing by Goodell and company of the sinking ship that is the NFL.

Or, as Johnny Mathis and Deneice Williams used to sing, is it,

Too Much…Too Little…Too Late?

Until He Comes,

Of Jessica Chambers, NFL Protests, and the Dissolving Family Unit – A KJ Op Ed

jessica-chambers-1 (2)

It is no secret to anyone who has read my posts for a while that I was originally born in Memphis, Tennessee and current reside in Northwest Mississippi, right across the state line.

The most talked about murder case down here in years in finally coming to trial.

FoxNews.com reports that…

Jury selection began Monday in the trial of a man accused of dousing a 19-year-old former high school cheerleader with a flammable liquid, setting her ablaze and leaving her to die along a north Mississippi back road.

Quinton Tellis, 29, has been charged with the murder of Jessica Chambers on Dec. 6, 2014, and faces life in prison without parole if convicted. Tellis has pleaded not guilty.

Opening arguments and testimony are expected to begin Tuesday morning, with prosecutors expecting to call more than 40 witnesses in a trial that could last up to two weeks, the Commercial-Appeal reported.

Firefighters in Courtland, Miss., found Chambers beside her burning car on a remote road near a tree farm. Chambers was quickly taken to a Memphis hospital, about 60 miles to the north, with burns over 98 percent of her body. She died hours later.

District Attorney John Champion of Panola County said that he believed it was a “personal crime” as Tellis and Chambers knew each other, and not related to drug or gang activity, even though 17 suspected gang members were arrested as a result of the investigation. The prosecutor has not revealed to reporters what Chambers told firefighters when they found her.

Investigators were stymied early on because they received no information from “street sources,” leading them to theorize that the killing was committed by one person who told no one what happened, Champion had said.

Authorities have said about 20,000 telephone numbers were analyzed as part of the investigation, more than 150 people were questioned and investigators traveled to Iowa and Chattanooga, Tenn.

Relatives have described Chambers as friendly and outgoing. She had been a cheerleader and softball player at South Panola High School.

Chambers’ mother, Lisa, has said her daughter liked to smile and playfully stick out her tongue at people. She was trusting of others, making her mother wonder if her outgoing personality had gotten her into trouble.

“She didn’t think anybody could harm her or would want to,” Lisa Chambers has said.

But as the trial approached, Lisa Chambers declined to discuss the case. She has told reporters she spoke with her daughter by phone about an hour before she was found.

When Tellis was indicted, Champion said, investigators worked to figure out where the victim was between 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. the day she was burned and they had “absolutely filled that hour in.” The 19-year-old was found shortly after 8 p.m. that night.

Tellis has prior convictions for burglary and fleeing police. He was released from prison in October 2014 — two months before Chambers’ killing.

Tellis faces another murder indictment in Louisiana, where he’s accused in the torture death of Meing-Chen Hsiao, a 34-year-old Taiwanese graduate student at the University of Louisiana at Monroe. That indictment alleges that Tellis probably stabbed Hsiao more than 30 times in her face and body with a knife to get her to reveal her debit card’s PIN number before killing her on July 29, 2015. He was extradited to Mississippi from Louisiana in June after pleading guilty to fraudulent use of Hsiao’s card.

Area resident Beth Brasher, 40, said she knows Tellis and says he “comes from a good family.” Asked about the Chambers case, she said she believes Tellis is wrongly accused, but acknowledged the crime “tore up” the community.

“That girl died a horrible, horrendous death that she didn’t deserve,” Brasher said.

As I write this post, the jury has now been seated.

I had a stepson who played football for one of the local high school teams down here. Every year they played South Panola and every year they got run off the field. It’s not that the team my stepson played on was a bad team. They weren’t. It was just that South Panola was always a very good team.

What I can remember about them was the fact that they were huge. They all appeared to be young black men in their 20s and their dominance on the field reminded me of the old Grambling State Tiger Football Games that I used to watch at 10:30 p.m. on Saturday nights on the local NBC Affiliate, WMCTV 5, as a kid in the 70s, before Saturday Night Live took over that time slot.

I absolutely loved the halftime shows.

But, I digress…

I was thinking about poor young Jessica and the worthless waste of oxygen who took her life and the monstrous way in which he did it and I thought about another story which I have written several posts about recently.

As you no doubt noticed, Fox News reported that 17 suspected gang members were questioned during the murder investigation.

Gangs are big in that area, with some of them even sending “scouts” into the middle schools up where I live, to recruit young thug wannabes.

Gangs have become so successful around the country due to the dissolution of the Black Family Unit.

And that, boys and girls, is a stone cold fact.

As I wrote last week,

“Back in July of 2013, CNN Reporter Don Lemon (who happens to be black) caught a bunch of grief for saying,

Just because you can have a baby, it doesn’t mean you should. Especially without planning for one or getting married first. More than 72 percent of children in the African-American community are born out of wedlock. That means absent fathers. And the studies show that lack of a male role model is an express train right to prison and the cycle continues.

Politifact.com researched the statement and found out that Lemon was correct. As of the 2010 Census, Black American Babies were experiencing a 73% illegitimacy rate.

If the NFL and its players, Modern American Liberals, both black and white, Democrat and Republican, in Municipal, State, and National Leadership Positions, would focus their angst and “concern” on the society-altering, continuing dissolution of the Black Family Unit and work instead toward the restoration of the Black Family Unit, instead of attempting to blame our city’s police officers for the violence in our streets, perhaps the stifling defeatism of the cycle of Generational Poverty and Crime, and the violence it brings, would eventually be a thing of the past, or greatly diminished, anyway.

Then, I wouldn’t be awakened every morning, by the Local News in Memphis, to stories about Black Americans killing each other, or mobs of Black Teenagers beating up innocent people, such as seen in the story from Denver featured earlier in this post.

And American Families could actually watch an enjoyable Sunday Afternoon of professional football again, without the players’ public displays of their private political ideology spoiling it for everybody.

But, then again…that would make too much sense.

And, if someone would have provided a male role model in that young murder’s life, pretty young Jessica Chambers might still be alive.

Actions have consequences.

Whether it be having a baby out of wedlock just because you can,

Disrespecting our flag, our nation, and the people who pay you money to play a game,

or

Dousing a beautiful young woman in gasoline and lighter fluid and setting her ablaze,

It all has to do with being “raised in the way in which you should go”.

If the National Football League Players really want to “kneel in solidarity with the community”, they need to go kneel in the middle of Clarksdale, Mississippi…or Inner City Chicago…or North and South Memphis.

Kneeling in the middle of beautiful football Arenas on national television when you are supposed to be doing your job is not accomplishing anything, except lost revenue.

But, then again, it is a lot easier than actually trying to make a difference.

Jessica Chambers would agree. If she could.

Until He Comes,

KJ

NFL Sunday: Pence Pawns Protesters…Jones Jolts Jocks…Fans Flee

Mike-Pence-NFL-protest-rtr-img

Well, another Sunday Afternoon in America, and another opportunity for NFL Players to show Americans their backsides.

Only this time, an American Leader kicked them in it.

FoxNews.com reports that

Vice President Mike Pence walked out on his home-state Indianapolis Colts Sunday when members of the opposing team kneeled for the national anthem, but a report that Colin Kaepernick, the player who started it all, will stand if given another shot in the NFL was quickly dialed back.

“I left today’s Colts game because @POTUS and I will not dignify any event that disrespects our soldiers, our Flag, or our National Anthem,” Pence tweeted.

Several San Francisco 49ers players kneeled for the anthem on Sunday in Indianapolis.

Pence later posted a statement which read, “I left today’s Colts game because President Trump and I will not dignify any event that disrespects our soldiers, our Flag, or our National Anthem. At a time when so many Americans are inspiring our nation with their courage, resolve, and resilience, now, more than ever, we should rally around our Flag and everything that unites us.”

“While everyone is entitled to their own opinions, I don’t think it’s too much to ask NFL players to respect the Flag and our National Anthem,” he continued. “I stand with President Trump, I stand with our soldiers, and I will always stand for our Flag and National Anthem.”

President Donald Trump later tweeted, “I asked @VP Pence to leave stadium if any players kneeled, disrespecting our country. I am proud of him and @SecondLady Karen.”

Trump’s son Eric also took to Twitter Sunday, writing, “Vice President Pence is truly an amazing man! Thank you for standing up for our country and for the respect of our great flag! @VP”

While a quarterback for the 49ers last year, Colin Kaepernick sat or kneeled during the national anthem last season to bring more attention to the killings of black men by police officers. The protests have grown this season.

Meanwhile, CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora corrected his report that had claimed Kaepernick would stand during the national anthem if given a chance to play football in the NFL again.

“Wanted to clarify one thing regarding @Kaepernick7. When I was asked about his whether or not he would sit or stand for anthem …” La Canfora tweeted after the report came out earlier Sunday.

“Standing for Anthem wasn’t something that I spoke to Colin about,” the reporter added. “I relayed what had been reported about him standing in the future…”

“Reports about @Kaepernick7 standing for anthem had not been refuted,” La Canfora wrote. “However, I can’t say if they are true or not. Colin and I didn’t discuss.”

In another message, La Canfora said, “Colin would have to address any future demonstrations. I didn’t ask him if he would sit or stand. Our chat primarily about his will to play.”

“I know @Kaepernick7 is fully committed to playing football and helping those in need. What he would do during the Anthem I do not know,” he wrote.

The reporter added that Kaepernick has been living in New York and working out privately in New Jersey with the hope of signing with a team this season.

“After sitting down with Colin Kaepernick for several hours, @JasonLaCanfora says the QB is still actively trying to play in the NFL,” NFLonCBS tweeted Sunday, including a video.

“He’s not planning on kneeling, he’s going to donate all his jersey sales, and he’s planning on standing for the anthem, if given the opportunity,” La Canfora initially said in the video segment.

On Sunday, Kaepernick’s girlfriend, radio personality Nessa Diab, took to Twitter.

“The reports that Colin will stand for the anthem are completely false! He has never discussed this with anyone,” she posted.

Kaepernick retweeted Diab’s message.

Of course he did.

Meanwhile… per DallasNews.com

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said after Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers that any Cowboy who “disrespects the flag” will not play.Said Jones:  “If there is anything disrespecting the flag, then we will not play. Period. We’re going to respect the flag and I’m going to create the perception of it. …

“I know this. We cannot in the NFL, in any way, give the implication that we tolerate disrespecting the flag. We cannot do that. I know the vice president did leave because in his opinion, the teams were. We know that there is a serious debate in this country about those issues. But there is no question in my mind that the National Football League and the Dallas Cowboys are going to stand up for the flag. Just so we’re clear.”

In response, the NFL Players Association issued the following statement…

NFL players are union members and part of the labor movement that has woven the fabric of America for generations. Our men and their families are also conscientious Americans who continue to be forces for good through our communities and some have decided to use their platform to peacefully raise awareness to issues that deserve attention.

It is a source of enormous pride that some of the best conversations about these issues have taken place in our locker rooms in a respectful, civil and thoughtful way that should serve as a model for how all of us can communicate with each other.

We should not stifle these discussions and cannot allow our rights to become subservient to the very opinions our Constitution protects. That is what makes us the land of the free and home of the brave.

Gentlemen, this is America.

You have the right to your opinion…an opinion that was limited to just a couple of you before November 8, 2016.

An opinion which has your base down 31% and which has caused you to drop to the position of the least favorite professional sport in America, trailing Major League Baseball and Professional Basketball.

Your opinion has also cost your league and the owners of your respective teams BIG money. Money which they had to give back to sponsors because of the NFL’s failure to meet promised revenue projections in order to secure lucrative advertisers’ partnerships.

That’s not even counting the empty stadium seats, which are so clearly visible that neither the league nor those televising the games can purposefully hide them anymore.

And, let’s not forget the stadium vendors and the peddlers of official NFL merchandise, such as jerseys and hats, which have been on display on Facebook as once loyal fans burn them in retribution for your on-field displays of your “Constitutional Right” to disrespect our flag and the playing of our National Anthem.

Now, Dallas Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones wants to “stop the bleeding” as he recognizes that moniker of “America’s Team” given to his NFL Franchise so many years ago, is no longer so, as Americans are finding something better to do on their Sunday Afternoons.

In my research for this post last night, after coming home from MY job, a real one, mind you, not a game we used to play with a Nerf Football in each other’s front yards,  I read where some of you were complaining that Vice-President Pence’s walking out after the 49s disrespected the flag and the national anthem was “staged”. Actually, he was there to watch a football game. Not a Political Demonstration.

You spoiled ungrateful brats protested our nation, so our nation’s Second-in-Command protested you right back.

Flipping off your fans, your Team Owners, and the majority of Americans, including those occupying the Halls of Power in Washington, DC, does not seem to be working out so well for you and your display of your “Constitutional Rights” while you are supposed to be a professional ON THE JOB, does it?

But, hey, no worries.

If you lose your jobs because of the decrease in revenue that your Political Demonstrations are causing, I’m sure that you “professionals” can find work.

After all, it is the time of year when companies are hiring “Seasonal Help”.

How do your guys look in a red suit and a white beard?

Repeat after me…

HO…HO…HO!

Until He Comes,

“You Say You Want a Revolution?”: Antifa Group Calls For a “National Deface Day” Tomorrow.

GettyImages-668932798-1280x720

Antifa – Short for (militant) anti-fascists.

Middle-class champagne socialist/communist/anarchist white boys who don’t like nationalists or fascists. They consider themselves to be rebelling against the establishment, whilst upholding all of its ultra-politically correct views.

Antifa only dislike racism when its carried out by whites, and do not have the bottle to stand up against anti-white racism; leading to many people on the right to refer to them as ‘traitors’. I’d rather just call them morons.

Most are teenagers and university students who grow out of the fad when they start paying taxes. – The Urban Dictionary

Tomorrow is Columbus Day.

Some Americans will be off of work for the Legal Holiday. Some won’t.

I’m lucky because it is a normal day off for me.

But, I digress.

A group which calls itself  “The Revolutionary Abolitionist Movement” posted the following on their website on September 21st.

The battles lines have been drawn and white supremacists are on notice. White nationalist statues are crumbling all over the US as our collective revolutionary power is growing. As the monuments of white supremacist society fall we must continue to make it clear that their reign of terror is coming to an end.

For the occasion of Columbus Day, October 9th, one of the most vile ‘holidays’ of the year, the Revolutionary Abolitionist Movement is calling for collectives all over the country to take action against this day and in support of indigenous people in the US and abroad who have been victims of colonialism and genocide.

We are calling for groups to “decorate” their neighborhoods as they see fit: put up murals, wheatpaste posters, drop a banner, etc. On October 9th put a picture of your action on social media and use the hashtags below. With these actions multiplied around the country, we will make it unequivocally clear that revolutionaries will always stand with the indigenous!

Revolutionary greetings to the insurgent Zapatista communities, the Lakota warriors, the Mapuche fighters, and all of our indigenous comrades in the struggle. With these actions, we renew our commitment to building a revolutionary movement strong enough to turn the tide permanently.

Resistance is life!

#F*ckColumbusDay

#DestroyColonialism

According to their website, “RAM” or

The Revolutionary Abolitionist Movement is a political movement dedicated to freeing people from bondage and building resistance in the United States. We situate our political movement in the context of the abolitionist struggle against slavery and continue in the tradition, from Nat Turner to the Black Liberation Movement. We believe the Civil War was never resolved and the system of slavery transitioned into the prison industrial complex. Our struggle today must begin from this starting point. Lastly, as revolutionary anarchists, the abolitionist struggle must be extended to the state and capitalism, the perpetrators of oppression. The revolutionary movement in the US today is at a cross roads, as fascist movements are expanding, and the state becomes increasingly authoritarian. The Rojava Revolution, in northern Syria, provides us with a model for revolution today with its foundation in communal and council based political organization and militant defense.

FarLeftWatch.com reports that

Just like every other Antifa group, they oppose white supremacy, racism, and bigotry. Seems reasonable, right? But read a little further into their “Political Foundation” and you will find a few things that aren’t so reasonable.

They advocate for the abolition of gender:

They advocate for the expropriation of good, lands, and tools:

And finally, just like every other Antifa group, they oppose capitalism and are open proponents of communism.

They added that

If this wasn’t enough, RAM has been conducting a series of workshops at their Brooklyn, NY branch designed to radicalize a new generation of revolutionaries. These include an “Introductory Class” a “Legal Training” workshop, an “Introduction To Anarchism” class, and even an “Our Enemies in Blue” anti-police workshop.

As I write this, New York’s Finest are standing guard over the statue of Christopher Columbus in the Big Apple, in order to insure that these whack jobs do not deface it as planned.

“RAM” and all of the other Antifa Groups are following the teaching of Saul Alinsky and Adolph Hitler, and picking a target, in this case, the legal and fair election of Donald J. Trump as president of the United States of America, as an excuse for their “Revolution”, in an attempt to “get what’s coming to them”.

Like Hitler did his followers, the Leaders of these “Revolutionaries” are promising prosperity to all who follow them.

And, like these type of movements, there seems to be an endless supply of “Useful Idiots”.

Of course, the irony is, they are being funded by a “Secret Power Broker”, such as the Puppet Master himself, George Soros.

The problem that these “Revolutionaries” are facing is the fact that they remain in the minority.

The majority of Americans disagree with them.

Otherwise, Hillary Clinton would have won the Presidency.

If you try to talk to a Liberal about this New Fascism, they will deny that there is any fascism going on at all. In fact, they will tell you that this is “the will of the people” and they will site Democratically-stacked push polls in order to back their opinion up.

They have no “home training”, either.

These “spoiled brats”, like the Former Imperious President whom they worshipped as a living deity, do not care about the “Will of the People”, but, rather, they are intent on implementing and enforcing their Far Left Political Ideology, resulting in a “Tyranny of the Minority”, which we are seeing play out, as they attempt to hold on to the perceived power which they had under Obama’s failed presidency, while they collected their “FREE STUFF” bestowed upon them by the “benevolent masters” of the Democrat Party, by trying to somehow block Donald J. Trump’s following through on his Campaign Promises to the American People.

The use of Karl Marx/Saul Alinsky-inspired “Class War Politics”, including “Racial Rhetoric”, and Barack Hussein Obama’s own petulant, belligerent personality of a 12-year-old, has inspired these “protestors”, leading to a divided nation, the likes of which has not been seen since “The War of Northern Aggression”.

These protestors, in their immature, ego-driven rage, do not comprehend our nation’s Constitution, which they firmly believe is an antiquated “Dead ” document, with no more worth than a normal everyday piece of paper.

That Sacred Document, our United States Constitution, gives each of us the right, including the average Americans who live between the coasts and who elected President Trump, to speak our minds and be heard.

It gives those protestors that right, too…but, not at the expense of others, or damaging property like the fascist communists of Lenin’s Revolution, whom they are seeking to emulate through their attempts to circumvent the Constitution of the United States of America.

Their actions are far from noble. They are the actions taken by miserable little cowards who simply cannot accept that the majority of Americans do not believe the way that they do.

That is called “INTOLERANCE”.

It is also called FASCISM.

If they do not like it here, they are free to leave.

And don’t let the screen door hit ya where the Good Lord split ya.

Until He Comes,

Hypocrisy Abounds in Hollywood: Praising Hillary While Protecting Weinstein

untitled (181).png

hypocrisy:  the practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one’s own behavior does not conform; pretense.

Late Thursday evening, Hollywood, once again, celebrated the loser of the 2016 Presidential Election, Hillary Clinton, as if she had actually won. While doing so, they were simultaneously patting themselves on the back for how brilliant and progressive they were for “empowering” women to “take their rightful place”.

Or, something like that.

According to yahoonews.com

Hillary Rodham Clinton visited The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and the show’s female writers were so impressed with the former presidential candidate that they couldn’t wait to give her thank-you notes.

One by one, the female writers came out and read aloud cards thanking Clinton for several things. One writer named Caroline said, “Thank you, Hillary, for always sticking to the issues even as people criticized you for superficial things like your hair, your wardrobe, and your appearance. You showed girls everywhere that politics isn’t a popularity contest, because if it were, you would have won by about 3 million votes.”

Miley Cyrus was the musical guest, and she also got in on the thank-you card action. Fighting back tears, Cyrus said, “Thank you, Hillary, for being a constant beacon of strength, hope, and determination for me and millions of other young women. You’ve been a role model and an inspiration, and the voice of reason in uncertain times. I could go on and on, but I’d like to get right to the point. Can I give you a hug?”

Clinton gave Cyrus a hug, and then she penned a thank-you note to all women, saying, “Thank you, Miley, The Tonight Show writers, and all of the women and young girls out there. You are smart, strong, and deserving of every opportunity. Together, we’ve made our voices heard, we’ve done great things, and we’ve come a long way. But as Miley would say, we can’t stop, and we won’t stop.”

While that projectile-vomit inducing display of hubris-filled Liberal Idolatry was taking place, a scandal involving one of Hollywood’s major figures was busting wide open…evidently like his robe in front of Hollywood starlets had many times before.

Foxnews.com reports that

“Who is Harvey Weinstein?” is a perfectly acceptable question in light of a bombshell story The New York Times broke Thursday that reports decades of his alleged serial sexual harassment and settlements with women in Hollywood.

Putting it bluntly, Harvey Weinstein, for a time, was the most powerful producer and studio head in Hollywood. He is almost singlehandedly responsible for the indie-to-mainstream film explosion in the 90’s (backing “Pulp Fiction,” “Good Will Hunting” and “Shakespeare in Love” to name just a few examples). His influence in Hollywood is unparalleled.

But it’s his influence out of Hollywood that has parts of media and the political left flummoxed to the point of silence. Weinstein, fresh off producing a media-hailed documentary titled “The Hunting Ground,” about sexual assault on college campuses, has also taken a leave from his production company, The Weinstein Company. Who would have guessed the only real hunting ground, according to women interviews by the newspaper, was Harvey Weinstein’s casting couch?

Actress and dedicated liberal women’s rights activist Ashley Judd went on record for the New York Times story, which states: ‘Two decades ago, the Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein invited Ashley Judd to the Peninsula Beverly Hills hotel for what the young actress expected to be a business breakfast meeting. Instead, he had her sent up to his room, where he appeared in a bathrobe and asked if he could give her a massage or she could watch him shower, she recalled in an interview.

“ ‘How do I get out of the room as fast as possible without alienating Harvey Weinstein?’ Ms. Judd said she remembers thinking.”

Weinstein has amassed a small army of professional political spin doctors, image consultants and PR wizards to help blunt any damage from the allegations of settled lawsuits involving several actresses. He has even gone so far as threatening legal action against the Times for its report, calling in favors from the highest ranks of Democratic party operatives.

After fundraising almost $650,000 for Barack Obama and a few thousand more for Hillary Clinton, Weinstein was bound to earn some favors, including advice to blame the NRA for his transgressions.

Lawyer Lanny Davis is defending Weinstein, which is great because Davis has experience in defending important people from sexual abuse allegations – most prominently President Clinton in the Monica Lewinsky scandal. Also advising Weinstein is Democratic powerhouse PR firm SKDKnickerbocker Managing Director and former Obama White House Communications Director Anita Dunn.

SKDK ran interference for Planned Parenthood when undercover videos inside the organization hit the media last year. SKDK also ran promotions for the Women’s March against Donald Trump’s inauguration this past January, where Ashley Judd was a prominent speaker. SKDK insists Weinstein is not a client in any capacity, which is technically true, as Dunn has stated she is advising Weinstein pro-bono. That’s neat.

Another attorney advising Weinstein is Lisa Bloom. If that name sounds familiar it’s because Bloom has made waves recently both organizing the campaign against Bill O’Reilly when he was at Fox News and representing victims against comedian and actor Bill Cosby.

Bloom’s advocacy on behalf of victims seems to stop at the water’s edge of where principled stands for victims end and politics begins. One other slightly important detail regarding Bloom? Weinstein has optioned her book for a mini-series. Convenient.

For a side of the aisle that has been grandstanding about the rights of women who made accusations against President Handmaid’s Tale, Weinstein’s Democratic defenders sure don’t seemed all that concerned with the rights of women who report being victimized by their biggest donors.

With Weinstein’s political influence came close connections to the Obama White House as well, meeting with then President Obama 13 times. At a gathering, former First Lady Michelle Obama described Weinstein, who was in attendance, “as a wonderful human being, a good friend and just a powerhouse.” Malia Obama, upon exiting the White House and appearing to show an interest in the film industry, took an internship with The Weinstein Company.

Malia Obama should be left out of any debate concerning her father’s loyalty and his relationship to Weinstein. But the question has to be asked, if people are claiming that Weinstein’s alleged sexual harassment was worst-kept secret in the media and Hollywood for years, than why was he  allowed repeatedly wield influence this close to the former president and his family?

Democrats en masse are rushing to return or donate campaign donations they received from Weinstein. These include the biggest names considered possible presidential candidates in 2020, like Sens. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts and Cory Booker of New Jersey, who have vowed to donate their contributions from Weinstein to charity.

Another prominent Democrat who met with Weinstein prior to publication of The New York times story was rising star Sen. Kamala Harris of California, took a private meeting with Weinstein in the Hamptons in July.

On top of Democratic politicians embracing Weinstein for years, is the question of how, if Weinstein’s alleged behavior was such an open secret for so long, did this go unnoticed and unreported in media?

In the wake of the New York Times article, reporter Rebecca Traister wrote in The Cut: “I have been having conservations about Harvey Weinstein’s history of sexual harassment for more than 17 years.”

Discussing an incident that she says took place in 2000, Traister wrote that Weinstein called her a vulgar name referring to women when he complained about a question she asked, and then attacked her reporting colleague and then-boyfriend Andrew Goldman when Goldman tried to calm Weinstein down and get an apology.

“Weinstein went nuclear, pushing Andrew down a set of steps inside the Tribeca Grand – knocking him over with such force that his tape recorder hit a woman, who suffered a long-term injury – and dragging Andrew, in a headlock, onto Sixth Avenue,” Traister wrote.

Traister added that Weinstein was so powerful back then and “there were so many journalists on his payroll, working as consultants on movie projects, or as screenwriters, or for his magazine” that he was able to suppress the new coverage of the incident, even though news photographers captured photos of his actions.

“After that incident … I began to hear from lots of other people, now other reporters, who were working, often for years, to nail down the story of Harvey’s sexual abuses,” Traister wrote.

Democracy was apparently not only dying in darkness, but needed a defibrillator when it came to Harvey Weinstein.

Both media and the entertainment figures were happy to applaud Vice President Joe Biden taking the stage at the Oscars last year on behalf of his “It’s On Us” campaign against sexual assault. They called on everyone to speak up and join Biden, President Obama and survivors of abuse in taking the pledge to “intervene in situations when consent has not or cannot be given.”

But as reported in The Daily Beast, in the wake of the Weinstein settlements, Hollywood has been rendered mute.

There are those who have spoken out in defense of Judd since publication of the New York Times article. They including noted feminist, writer, director and actress Lena Dunham, along with actress Rose McGowan. Both deserve credit for doing so, as well as Ashley Judd, who has risked her career by going on record against a man who has employed some of her closest friends and allies to defend him.

Still silent is a media industry too dependent and obsessed with access to the upper echelon of Hollywood and its stars for content, and who have no problem lecturing America from their late-night talk show stages about health care or guns but are unable to find words of criticism when it comes to one of their own.

Remember that come this February, when Jimmy Kimmel is hosting another Oscar show where people in an industry that covered up for Weinstein for decades are once again lecturing us about the virtues of Hollywood, and the tolerant progressivism that comes with it.

Okay. so, Weinstein the Wolf’s proclivities were widely known by both the Movers and Shakers and the rank and file workers in the Movie Industry in Tinseltown.

He was active in politics as well as a supporter of Former President Barack Hussein Obama.

I wonder if Barry and Mooch knew that he was a lech when they let Malia intern at his company?

And now, here we are. This same bunch of “I’m smarter than you are” Hollywood Liberals, who have been insulting and talking down to average Americans, simply because we believe in Traditional American Faith and Values and we would not swallow the Kool-aid they we offering during the 2016 Presidential Campaign and elected Donald J Trump as President, instead of the Queen of Mean, knew all along about the Casting Couch of Harvey Weinstein, considering it Standard Operating Procedure.

Boys and girls, do you realize what magnitude of hubris and hypocrisy it took for them to live with themselves by passively accepting the seducing of young starlets by a lecherous old producer, while at the same time, didactically pointing a finger at all of us between the coasts?

The Host of “Wheel of Fortune”, Pat Sajak, nailed these hypocritical harlequins in a recent tweet, sarcastically explain…

OK, let me explain this again: We’re celebs. We’re wiser & more empathetic than you. We are famous. Please take our opinions more seriously.

As I have written before,

To those of you in Tinsel Town who believe that your ability to stand of a piece of tape on a set, mug for the camera, and read lines on a cue card or even memorize a few of them, somehow gives you the authority to insult, demean, and act superior to those of us here in the Heartland who were responsible for the election of Donald J. Trump as President of the United States of America…HERE’S A REALITY CHECK FOR YOU:

Average Americans, such as myself and my readers, really don’t give a tinker’s damn about your opinions of our intelligence or the Citizen Statesman whom we put into the Oval Office.

And now, with this revelation about Harvey Weinstein, we don’t need to hear about how wonderful you are for “championing Women’s Rights”.

The only “Women’s Rights” you trained monkeys champion are the right of failed female professional politicians to somehow still remain relevant and the right turn young starlets had to make into Harvey Weinstein’s office in order to be sexually assaulted on his Casting Couch.

Be proud, Hollywood Liberals.

Your hypocrisy knows no bounds.

And, average Americans are NOT your “Huckleberry”.

CNN Reporter Labels Country Music Fans “Trump Supporters” After Las Vegas Massacre. Can You Say “Liberal Bias”?

Screen-Shot-2017-10-02-at-2.50.16-PM-1024x518

For those of us who live in the Heartland, and especially in the South, the Main Stream Media have shown themselves over the years to be lower than the stuff you find in a cow pasture which leads to an outhouse.

In the aftermath of the Las Vegas Massacre, the largest mass shooting in the history of America, they continue to demonstrate that they believe that “class” was something that they skipped during school.

CNN.com reports that

CNN Senior White House Correspondent Jeff Zeleny still hasn’t explained why he thinks so many country music fans “likely” support President Trump after making the claim shortly after Trump’s remarks Monday about the mass shooting in Las Vegas.

“A lot of these country music supporters are likely Trump supporters,” Zeleny said on air. “This is something, of course, hitting the tapestry of all Americans and there are going to be victims from across the country here.”

Zeleny didn’t elaborate on what he meant, but it’s safe to wonder if he thinks most country music fans are white. After all, this is the same CNN reporter who said Trump’s July trip to Poland included a “white America” speech.

“Thousands of thousands of people were waving American flags and Polish flags, but this is not a speech he could have given, really, anyplace else. This was a white America, America first kind of speech,” Zeleny said last summer after the Warsaw speech. “He was offering a very stark view, actually, about, you know, migration, immigration, about other things. It wasn’t a modern-day speech, if you will. It was sort of a throwback speech.”

A gunman opened fire at the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival in Las Vegas late Sunday night, killing at least 59 people and sending more than 500 others to hospitals in what is now the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history.

Media Research Center Vice President Dan Gainor said that a reporter wouldn’t be able to get away with assuming a group of predominantly African-American concertgoers supported a specific candidate.

“A reporter who made inferences about people of color would probably be accused of stereotyping,” Gainor told Fox News. “The backlash is always more severe about anything the left doesn’t like.”

Zeleny wasn’t the only person to whip out stereotypes following the tragic event. CBS parted ways with one of the company’s top lawyers after she said she was “not even sympathetic” to victims of the Las Vegas shooting because “country music fans often are Republican.”

Back in 2009, Zeleny famously asked President Obama what had “enchanted” him about occupying the White House. The clip is now frequently used when political watchdogs compare the way the mainstream media treated Obama compared to how Trump is treated.

Zeleny has also been criticized for declaring that Trump had little “empathy” for victims of Hurricane Harvey,  and was accused of lying by former GOP-presidential hopeful Rick Santorum.

He was even called  “pathetic” and a “wannabe journalist” by Trump himself during a November Twitter tirade.

CNN did not respond to Fox News’ request for comment.

I am sure that they did not.

What are they going to say,

Which do you believe, us or your lying eyes?

As a child of the 60s and teenager of the 70s, I can say that beyond a shadow of a doubt  that this is the most divided that I have ever seen the United States of America.

Former President Barack Hussein Obama’s agenda of racial division and class warfare is now not just political rhetoric, it is status quo and standard operating procedure for the Democratic Party and their Propaganda Arm, the Main Stream Media.

The MSM, including CNN, are not worried anymore about repercussions brought about by their obvious East Coast/West Coast Elite Liberal Democrat Bias.

They view themselves as being above all that.

Just as 2016 Democrat Presidential Candidate Hillary Clinton viewed those of us between the coasts as being beneath her, taking us for granted during the campaign, the MSM views us as poor, dumb, gullible sheep…fodder for insult and ridicule, just like the United States President whom we elected.

And, just like Clinton’s overestimation of her intelligence and overconfidence in her inevitability cost her the presidency, so does the arrogance and hubris of the MSM cost them viewers. Which explains why Sean Hannity, after being moved back to his old spot of 8 p.m. Central by Fox News, is more than doubling the viewership of MSNBC’s Rachel Madcow…err…Maddow.

By assuming that those 22,000 fans attending that Country Music Concert in Las Vegas on that faithful Sunday Night were all Trump Supporters, this clown from CNN let his “objective broadcast journalist” mask slip completely off revealing the ugly, judgmental completely biased Liberal beneath.

Evidently, Jeff Zeleny’s parents never warned him not to “assume”, because it makes an ASS out of “U” (you) and ME.

However, that’s okay.

It makes sense.

After all, an ASS is the symbol of the Political Organization he bows and scrapes to…

The Democratic Party.

And, he was just being true to his nature.

Until He Comes,

The Las Vegas Massacre: Another Horrific Tragedy, Another Opportunity For the Dems to Push For Gun Control. – A KJ Op Ed

House-Democrats-pushing-gun-control-after-Las-Vegas-mass-shooting (2)

You won’t get gun control by disarming law-abiding citizens. There’s only one way to get real gun control: Disarm the thugs and the criminals, lock them up and if you don’t actually throw away the key, at least lose it for a long time… It’s a nasty truth, but those who seek to inflict harm are not fazed by gun controllers. I happen to know this from personal experience. – President Ronald Reagan

Per CNN.com (so, take it with a grain of salt)…

The massacre in Las Vegas was at once a national tragedy and a family one. When Stephen Paddock opened fire on the Route 91 Harvest Festival, he committed the largest mass shooting in America’s history and struck at the heart of country music and its fans — a community that often describes itself as family.

But in the wake of the tragedy in Las Vegas, some members of the country family are reflecting on the gun culture long associated with the music.

Plenty of debate

Since Sunday’s massacre, debate has taken place on the airwaves at country music radio stations, around dinner tables and on social media over gun control.

Caleb Keeter is a guitarist for the Josh Abbott Band, which performed at the 91 Harvest Music Festival.

In a social media post on Monday, Keeter wrote that the tragedy had changed his views on guns.

“I’ve been a proponent of the 2nd Amendment my entire life,” he wrote. “Until the event of last night. I cannot express how wrong I was.”

Crew members on Keeter’s bus had weapons and licenses to carry them, he said, but those “were useless” during the Vegas shooting for fear police would confuse them for the gunman raining bullets on the crowd.

“These rounds were powerful enough that my crew guys just standing in a close proximity of a victim shot by this f***ing coward received shrapnel wounds,” Keeter wrote. “We need gun control RIGHT.NOW.”

The late Johnny Cash was such a firearm aficionado that the National Rifle Association (NRA) shared the story of a Colt Model 1860 Army Revolver he is said to have given his friend, Gene Ferguson, on its site.

But Cash’s daughter, singer Rosanne Cash, has been an advocate for increased gun control measures for 20 years. She called on more people in the country music community to join her in a New York Times column published Tuesday.

“I encourage more artists in country and American roots music to end your silence,” Cash wrote. “It is no longer enough to separate yourself quietly. The laws the N.R.A. would pass are a threat to you, your fans, and to the concerts and festivals we enjoy.”

Close ties to the NRA

As evidenced by Tennessee Ernie Ford’s “The Shotgun Boogie,” Justin Moore’s “This Is NRA Country,” or Hank Williams Jr.’s 2016 single “God and Guns,” country music, in countless songs, has showcased support for the Second Amendment.

And the NRA has worked to cultivate that.

The gun lobbying organization’s NRA Country campaign features a roster of country music brand ambassadors, including Florida Georgia Line, Trace Adkins and Luke Combs.

“I kind see the similarities that run between what you guys do and what I do,” Combs said in a video posted on the NRA Country site when he was selected to join the campaign last year. “I enjoy going outdoors, shooting my guns, and stuff like that stuff.”

Combs, who performed at the festival in Las Vegas, announced he will play a song in honor of the shooting victims on an upcoming “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” show.

“Music is a healer,” Combs tweeted. “In this overwhelming darkness, I believe we will find hope when we rise together.”

Take a good look

The country music fanbase is not a monolithic group of gun-toting advocates.

Greg Bieck lives in Nashville and has worked as a country and pop music producer for almost 25 years.

He told CNN he would like to see the government step up and do more to curb mass shootings.

“It’s not the wild West anymore,” Bieck said. “People have a lot of money tied up in these weapons, and I think it’s worth it for the government to offer a buyback program for them. That would make everyone feel safe and be a win for both sides.”

Katie Toupal, a country music DJ in Minnesota, was present in Las Vegas during the shooting.

She told CNN’s Brooke Baldwin Wednesday that she believes the tragedy will have an effect on attitudes in the country music family.

“I do think some people will take a second look at it [gun control], especially after so many tragedies and the biggest one we’ve seen in our time happening on Sunday night,” Toupal said.

Dave Mann is a 31-year-old minister in Bellingham, Washington and a country music follower who considers himself to be a moderate when it comes to gun control.

He told CNN that while he doesn’t expect fans or the country music industry to become anti-gun after the Las Vegas tragedy, he believes reflection is in order.

“I think we need to take a good look at ourselves in the mirror and ask if we want to be so strongly aligned with the gun industry,” he said. “Is this the kind of world we want to live in?”

Bellingham, Washington? Seriously? Yeah, I’ll bet they listen to a lot of “Country Music” up in that Blue State. Their idea of Country Music is probably “The Dixie Chicks.”

Why didn’t they interview a Southern Baptist Preacher in Horn Lake, Mississippi?

I knew, as soon as I started watching the coverage on Fox News that fateful Monday Morning, that the Liberals would be all over this horrific massacre of innocent Americans like Rosie O’ Donnell on a donut, pushing for Gun Control.

David Mamet, in an  article for The Daily Beast, published on January 25, 2013, wrote the following:

…where in the Constitution is it written that the Government is in charge of determining “needs”? And note that the president did not say “I have more money than I need,” but “You and I have more than we need.” Who elected him to speak for another citizen?

It is not the constitutional prerogative of the Government to determine needs. One person may need (or want) more leisure, another more work; one more adventure, another more security, and so on. It is this diversity that makes a country, indeed a state, a city, a church, or a family, healthy. “One-size-fits-all,” and that size determined by the State has a name, and that name is “slavery.”

The Founding Fathers, far from being ideologues, were not even politicians. They were an assortment of businessmen, writers, teachers, planters; men, in short, who knew something of the world, which is to say, of Human Nature. Their struggle to draft a set of rules acceptable to each other was based on the assumption that we human beings, in the mass, are no damned good—that we are biddable, easily confused, and that we may easily be motivated by a Politician, which is to say, a huckster, mounting a soapbox and inflaming our passions.

The Constitution’s drafters did not require a wag to teach them that power corrupts: they had experienced it in the person of King George. The American secession was announced by reference to his abuses of power: “He has obstructed the administration of Justice … he has made Judges dependent on his will alone … He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our Constitution, and unacknowledged by our Laws … He has erected a multitude of new offices, and sent hither swarms of officers to harass out people and to eat out their substance … imposed taxes upon us without our consent… [He has] fundamentally altered the forms of our government.”

…The police do not exist to protect the individual. They exist to cordon off the crime scene and attempt to apprehend the criminal. We individuals are guaranteed by the Constitution the right to self-defense. This right is not the Government’s to “award” us. They have never been granted it.

…Will increased cosmetic measures make anyone safer? They, like all efforts at disarmament, will put the citizenry more at risk. Disarmament rests on the assumption that all people are good, and, basically, want the same things.

But if all people were basically good, why would we, increasingly, pass more and more elaborate laws?

The individual is not only best qualified to provide his own personal defense, he is the only one qualified to do so: and his right to do so is guaranteed by the Constitution.

Way back in February of 2013, I had a fascinating conversation with a quite Liberal young lady.

I had posted the following Tweet under the hashtag: #LiberalTips2AvoidRape

Move on down to Dixie, where everyone, Southern Belles or Southern Gentlemen, open or concealed carries.

The young lady replied to my Tweet:

therefore, according to your “logic”, there are no rapes down in ‘ole Dixie?

I, then replied:

I did not say that. However, statistics do prove that a well-placed bullet does prevent an attempted rape 10 out of 10 times.

Here is the rest of the discussion:

Her: If you want to use a statistic then give me a site to back it up.

Me: Ummm…how would a perpetrator rape someone if he was incompacitated?  Duuuh. Courtesy of the Kingsjester Institute of the Obvious.

Her: Suppose the rapist doesn’t want to wait ’til you draw your gun, aim and shoot?Or he comes from behind w/a knife to your neck?

Me: Shoot him in the foot.

Her: ok, but I think you’d have to walk around with your hand on your gun for that to work. Rapists are the worst kind of predators.

Me: You can shoot through a purse or a holster. So, are you saying that you want to comply with what the Dem in CO wants you to do?

Her: I was trying to point out that a gun won’t stop a rapist unless you walk around with your hand on the trigger at all times.

Me: You have no reflexes? Are you unaware of your surroundings? Are you a victim? Are you a fatalist? Would you not fight back?
It was then that she left the conversation.
A couple of things in closing:
Where you have the most armed citizens in America, you have the lowest violent crime rate. Where you have the worst gun control, you have the highest crime rate. – Ted Nugent
Why are they trying to take away the guns from law-abiding citizens, when it is the criminals who use their guns to kill, rape, and rob?
You know, it is almost as if the Far Left Liberals in the Democratic Party want the American Citizenry to be defenseless.
Why would they ever want that?
Because…
One man with a gun can control one hundred without one. – Vladimir Lenin
