Muslims Kill Christians. White House, Media say “Meh”.

The Middle East is on fire. Revolution is in the air. The Muslim Brotherhood is stretching its spider-web of influence throughout the region…and Christians are being killed.

Over 65 Christians have been killed in attacks throughout the Muslim world in the last few months. What has the reaction of the Obama Administration and the Main Street Media Minions been? Nary a mumblin’ word.

For example…

Six innocent people were killed in a Christmas Day Catholic Church bombing on the island of Jolo, and, in the Philippines, Christmas Eve bombings in Nigeria killed at least 32. That was just part of a night of barbarism across the country that included three other churches attacked and six worshipers killed.  A New Year’s bombing at a Coptic Christian church in Alexandria, Egypt, killed 23 people and injured more than 100. Several New Year’s Eve bombings in Iraq left two dead and at least 13 wounded. And finally, an Egyptian Christian man and five Christian women were shot last month.

And, while these acts of Islamic Terroism are going on, humanitarian agencies have noticed the lack of response from the Obama Administration.

Nina Shea, director of the Hudson Institute’s Center for Religious Freedom, told FoxNews.com:

The lack of a policy response beyond sending condolences each time a church or Christians are targeted in some horrific act of violence like in Egypt, Iraq, Nigeria etc. is absolutely bewildering. This should be seen as not only a humanitarian issue, but a security issue.

Even when the White House issues a condolence statement, it seems to not be adequate, according to Shea.  She thinks that the condolence statements have come up short.

When the Obama administration first noted an Oct. 31 church bombing in Iraq, for example, according to her, the White House sent

…a general condolence to Iraqis that didn’t even mention the word Christian or churches — even though it was a packed Sunday worship service for Christians that was blown up.

That act of Islamic terrorism, claimed by an Al Qaeda-linked organization, left 58 people dead and at least 78 wounded. Iraq’s Christian minority was left reeling from the worst attack they ever experienced.

The media has not seemed to care, either.

According to Brent Bozell and the Media Research Center, CBS and ABC aired nothing on the Nigerian attacks, PBS had one measly “NewsHour” report, while NBC gave the story three very short acknowledgments on the morning of Dec. 27.

“CBS Evening News” long-past-perky anchor Katie Couric instead decided that the protests against the Ground Zero Mosque were more newsworthy, proclaiming sanctimonious that the “seething hatred” against Muslims in America was one of the “most disturbing stories to surface this year” during her New Year’s Eve Internet show (which 2 people probably watched).

While clueless Katie Couric was concerned about the rights of Muslims, 11 bombs went off near Christian homes in Baghdad, killing two people and wounding at least 13. And just minutes into the new year, the bombers in Alexandria struck.

According to Brent Bozell:

ABC aired nothing. CBS and NBC each aired one brief anchor read.

Libs, of course, disagree.

According to media analyst T.J. Walker (whoever he is):

Christians get massive, massive media coverage, way out of proportion to their importance. This is another case of an interest group developing the media strategy of ‘working the refs’. No matter how fair or generous your media coverage is, complain bitterly that you are being treated unfairly in the hopes of making reporters give you even more positive coverage just to avoid the headache of dealing with nonsense virulent criticism.

Bozell rightfully argues that exaggerated stories of so-called discrimination against Muslims, for instance, like a Florida pastor’s proposition to memorialize the 9/11 attacks with “Burn a Koran Day,” or a Seattle cartoonist’s decision to protest Comedy Central’s decision to censor an episode of “South Park” that depicted Muhammad in a bear costume, seem to draw a lot more air-time from the Liberal Main Stream Media:

It’s appalling that you’ve got a worldwide assault on Christianity in place, where every week there’s a reported attack on some Christian church somewhere by Muslim fanatics and no one’s covering it, but one idiot in Florida threatens to burn a Koran and everyone’s talking about it.

Like our Secretary of State, Madame Clinton, who opined about the Florida pastor’s “Burn a Koran Day” at a Council on Foreign Relations Event:

I am heartened by the clear, unequivocal condemnation of this disrespectful, disgraceful act that has come from American religious leaders of all faiths. It’s regrettable that a pastor in Gainesville, Fla., with a church of no more than 50 people can make this outrageous and distressful, disgraceful plan and get the world’s attention.

Obama , in a less than forceful response, said that the perpetrators of the Egypt attacks “were clearly targeting Christian worshippers” and “must be brought to justice for this barbaric and heinous act.” He also offered “any necessary assistance to the Government of Egypt in responding to it,” as well as to the Government of Nigeria in responding to its attacks.

I’m sure that statement terrified the Islamic perpetrators of these heinous acts….no, really.

A Scholastic Soap Opera in Memphis

In Memphis,Tennessee, a war of wills is waging that will affect the future of the children of the entire county of Shelby and all those counties surrounding it.

After over 30 years of mismanagement, poor stewardship, and the downright dumbing-down of an excellent school system, the politicians of the city of Memphis, including the School Board, the City Council, and the Mayor, himself, have decided that they will surrender the charter of the Memphis City Schools System in order to merge with the Shelby County School System…by any means necessary.

After the citizens voted down consolidation of city and county services last November, the Memphis City School Board , in an attempt to save their failing school system and their phony baloney jobs, came up with the plan to surrender their charter, thereby forcing consolidation with the Shelby County Schools.

In the last few days, things have really come to a head in this scholastic soap opera:

  • The Memphis City School Board voted Monday night, December 20th, 2010 to let City voters decide on March 8th whether to surrender its charter.
  • On Thursday, February 10th, 2011, the Memphis City Council voted 10 – 0 to accept the decision by the Memphis City Schools Board of Education to surrender its charter, wiping out the city school board in one vote.
  • On Friday, February 11th, 2011, Tennessee Governor Bill Haslan signed into law a measure designed to delay any merger between the two systems.

And, through all of this, the wishes of the Shelby County School Board and the citizens that it represents have been tossed aside, because…wait for it…it’s for the children.

So, Friday night, February 11th, 2011, Shelby County School District leaders filed a federal lawsuit. The lawsuit alleges that the city school board’s “irrational” charter surrender deprives Memphis students of their constitutional rights.

The lawsuit also attacks the city of Memphis and the Memphis City Council for supporting “the (MCS) board’s unplanned and un-thoughtful effort to abandon its obligations to the children of Memphis.”

According to the lawsuit:

It is legally and factually impossible for the Shelby County Schools to immediately begin to operate the City of Memphis public school system without the employment of a thoughtful plan of transition.

…The Memphis City Schools and the Memphis City Council have failed and refused to follow any such procedures and have created, thereby, a chaotic and dangerous vacuum by ending the legal foundation for the operation of the public schools of the City of Memphis.

Martavius Jones, the city school board member who sponsored the resolution surrendering the charter, was just a wee bit upset:

The outrageousness of all of this is that Memphis is part of Shelby County.

We’re using Memphis tax dollars to sue Memphis out of its right and the obligation Shelby County Schools has to educate all children in Shelby County.

What about your obligation to clean up your own house, Martavius?

The County School Boards asks in the lawsuit for a speedy hearing in federal court. They also ask that for a judge to either strike down the MCS charter surrender or set a date when a transfer of MCS to SCS would take effect.

SCS board chairman David Pickler said:

We’re looking at the threat of real, irreparable harm to the children of Memphis and Shelby County Schools.

Multiple defendants have been named in the lawsuit, including the MCS Board of Education, the City Council, the City of Memphis, the U.S. Department of Education, Secretary of Education Arne Duncan, the U.S. Department of Justice, U.S. Atty. Gen. Eric Holder, the Tennessee Department of Education and Acting Education Commissioner Patrick Smith.

Memphis Mayor A C Wharton and Council Chairman Myron Lowery announced at a press conference earlier Friday that the city had already begun contemplating how it would proceed with its own legal actions.

According to Mayor Wharton, the Council was forced to act when Norris and suburban Republican state legislators “changed the rules midstream” by passing legislation to affect the charter surrender process that started last year.

Nobody on the Council was picking a fight on this. The only time the Council got going was when the legislature got going.

Not responding specifically to the Shelby County Board’s lawsuit, Wharton said Memphis City Schools acted in accordance with those procedures set out “in this nation of laws.”

According to Wharton, state law and the Shelby County charter require the county school board to be responsible for “every child in Shelby County, Tennessee”.   He went on, comparing the city school system “to a babysitter who babysat those kids for a couple of decades and they are now saying we are bringing your children back to you.”

Yeah. Unruly, unfunded, and undereducated.

A Note From KJ:  As you may have noticed, I’ve been taking a few days off at the end of the year.  I’ve been thanking God for his bountiful blessings, enjoying my family, (including my 3 year old grandson who has worn Grandpa smackdab out), and composing my thoughts as to what 2011 might have in store for us Average Americans.  We’ll explore these things together during the year.  Until then, please remember:

The Past is a memory.

The future is a promise.

Today is a gift from God.

That is why it is called “The Present”.

Thanks for sticking with me.

May God bless you and yours in this New Year.

From Memphis to New York: Handling a Big Freeze

I remember it like it was yesterday. I was staying with my elderly parents between marriages. On Feb. 11, 1994, Memphis was hit by the worst ice storm the area had seen in 50 years. The magnitude of the storm would set the standard by which all others have been measured since.

Like other Memphians, I woke up that Friday morning to the sound of power lines snapping and sparking. Exploding electrical transformers provided an eerie green lighting to the predawn skies. I had to make an 18 mile drive to work, because some brilliant plastic surgeon decided a teenage girl had to have her nose job videotaped that morning. So I put cinder blocks in the back of my 1990 Dodge Dakota long bed pickup truck, and off I went, heading to downtown Memphis in the early morning hours, in the middle of an ice storm.

Memphis looked like a war zone.

The area lost thousands of trees due to the weight of the ice. This, in turn, led to massive power outages.

Fully 1/2 of Shelby County, Tennessee, 250,000 to 300,000  utility customers, were left without electricity. Most customers had power restored within a few days, however, some were without power for more than two weeks.

The ice storm was responsible for more than a dozen fires. Schools, businesses and government agencies all had to shut down.

Shelters were opened, including The Pyramid, for people forced from their homes by cold.

A University of Memphis professor was killed when a tree limb crashed onto his car near Audubon Park. And two men, in separate incidents, died of apparent carbon monoxide poisoning, trying to heat their homes.

Meanwhile, back at home, I took care of my parents and made sure that they were warm and fed. Our power was restored in a few days. Luckily, we had plenty of batteries for the transistor radio and our flashlights. However, sleeping in our clothes and winter coats did get old, quickly.

I was reminded of the 1994 Memphis ice storm while reading accounts of the blizzard that has buried the Big Apple, along with the rest of the East Coast.

From myfoxny.com:

The chairman of the Municipal Labor Committee, Local 831, which represents men and women of the New York City Sanitation Department says there is no truth behind a rumor that his members worked slower during the blizzard of 2010.

Speaking with Good Day New York on Wednesday, four days after the first snow fell in a 20+ downfall across the tristate, Harry Nespoli said his workers don’t “mess around with the snow.”

Local politicians and residents where streets have not been cleared from the snow are angry. From all accounts, the response to the blizzard was inadequate.

“There is nothing to that (rumor.) I’m working very closely with the city. They worked 14 hour shifts. They’re getting annoyed over the fact that people are thinking there is a job action,” answered Nespoli.

The labor leader points fingers at Mother Nature.

“We had a blizzard. There were also an unusual amount of people on the streets on Sunday night and those cars never made it back to the curbs,” added Nespoli about the stranded vehicles and the difficulty they posed in getting plows through certain areas.

Some 40 hours after New York City became buried under 20 ” of snow, Hizzoner Mayor Bloomberg pleaded with New Yorkers Tuesday to have patience and told them that plows still might not reach every street within the next 24 hours.

At a meeting in Brooklyn, one of the hardest hit burroughs, he said:

We cannot do everything all the time and we are doing the best we can. We are trying to get to every street as fast as we can and as safely as we can.

I’m angry too.

Yeah, but you’re supposed to be in charge.

Bloomberg recited a litany of excuses for the poor response: the heavy winds, a shortage of tow trucks and private plows, motorists abandoning their cars and blocking streets, ambulances mired in the snow by trying to drive down blocked streets, and people jamming 911 with non emergency calls.

He defended not declaring a snow emergency, by claiming “that would have made the situation worse,” by forcing motorists to move parked cars from major streets. About 1,000 stuck vehicles have been removed from just three major expressways, but the mayor said that some 40 city ambulances and just under 300 buses remain stuck in the snow.

This was the sixth largest snowstorm in the history of New York City. It dumped two feet of snow and left many of those living in the outer boroughs and small suburban side streets, feeling trapped or ignored, as the city’s priority was to dig out Manhattan first.

I can sympathize with you guys.  The movers and shakers in Memphis had their power restored first, too.

The Invisible Interim: Pete Rouse

Pete Rouse, a 64-year-old single man, whose children are his cats, is strictly a behind-the-scenes player.  He rarely talks to reporters, and never on the record.  In most White House photographs, all you see is his backside.  Washington Insiders are already calling him the “Anti-Rahm”.

Suddenly, he is in the spotlight as the Interim White House chief of staff. Rouse will hold the job at least through the Nov. 2 elections, and perhaps until the end of the year, until the president decides on a permanent replacement.  I still believe it will be Scooter’s BFF, Valerie Jarrett.

Rouse is extremely methodical, and administration sources say he will give the president’s staff more structure than it has had under the fly-by-the-seat-of-his-pants Rahmbo.  For example, Emanuel wanted to hire a female CEO to succeed Larry Summers, the president’s departing economic adviser.  In contrast, Rouse will “run a process,” according to a colleague, assessing what kind of person and skills are needed before making a recommendation to Obama.

Rouse received a B.A. from Colby College, an M.A. from the London School of Economics, and an M.P.A. from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government

Rouse has often been called “the 101st Senator,” possessing over 30 years of Capitol Hill experience.  He served as Tom Daschle’s powerful chief of staff. When Daschle got booted from the Senate by the voters, he hoped Rouse would work with him in the private sector.  But Rouse received an expected call from Cassandra Butts, the policy director on Dick Gephardt’s 2004 presidential campaign and an old law school chum of Obama’s. Butts asked Rouse to meet with the newly elected Obama. Not really wanting to, Rouse had lunch with the young senator. Obama asked him to sign on as his chief of staff,a demotion of sorts, dropping Rouse from the office of the most powerful Senate Democrat to that of the most junior member of the body.  Rouse politely declined.  Obama, in his usual unrelenting way, kept asking.  Eventually, Rouse accepted.

This was not an unusual move.  Most outsider candidates for the presidency recruit an outsider team to make their dream happen.  Bill Clinton’s go-to guys in 1992 were the little-known pit bulls Paul Begala and James Carville.  His first chief of staff was Mack McLarty, a childhood friend who had risen to become chairman of the Arkansas Democratic Party. It was a team untainted by Washington but also naive in knowing how Washington worked.

But Scooter’s campaign and Senate staff, by contrast, were full of Daschle and Gephardt veterans, and the staff’s were unexpectedly driven by the power bases and reputations of two politicians who had long been thrown on the trash heap . Obama’s chief of staff was Pete Rouse. His deputy campaign manager, Steve Hildebrand, managed Daschle’s 2004 campaign. His director for battleground states, Jennifer O’Malley Dillon, and his director of communications, Dan Pfeiffer, both worked as deputy campaign managers for Daschle in 2004. Obama’s foreign-policy director, Denis McDonough, was Daschle’s foreign-policy adviser, and his finance director, Julianna Smoot, was head of Daschle’s PAC. Many of those who didn’t come from the Senate minority leader’s office came from the House minority leader’s office. Obama’s campaign manager and now WH Insider, David Plouffe, was Gephardt’s deputy campaign manager in 2004. His head of delegate operations, Jeff Berman, played the same role for Gephardt. His national press secretary, Bill Burton, was Gephardt’s Iowa press secretary. Dozens of others come from related arms of the party, in particular the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

During the months between Barack Hussein Obama’s (peace be unto him) election and his ascension to the Throne, Pete Rouse was known as the transition team’s “keeper of the list”:   the list of who was supposed to get jobs and who was owed favors.

It was a surprisingly effective operation for a first-term senator who hadn’t worked a day in Washington before 2004.  But it’s exactly the team you’d expect a former chief of staff to the Senate minority leader to put together.

According to Tom Daschle:

The person most responsible for this was Pete Rouse.

It turns out that Obama’s presidential campaign was in part based on plans Rouse had prepared for Daschle in 2004, before Daschle decided to sit out the presidential race.

There were only two Democratic power centers capable of running a national campaign in 2008: the veterans of the Clinton campaign, and the staff around the congressional leadership. Since the Clinton staffers were helping Hillary, Scooter grabbed those Washington Insiders that were left behind when both Tom Daschle and Dick Gephardt left office, and then he had the good fortune to land Rouse, who knew how to work with all those staffers.

This gave Obama’s campaign, and, eventually, his White House, a congressional character.  Rahm Emanuel came aboard, out of the House leadership, and legislative liaison Phil Schiliro, who is one of the leading candidates to replace Emanuel if the Rouse pick proves temporary, was taken from Rep. Henry Waxman’s office.

The Obama administration has caught a lot of heat for adopting an snotty approach to dealing with Congress, but it’s staffed by longtime congressional hands who strongly believe that you have to be snotty with Congress if you actually want to get anything done in it.   With Rouse taking over as Interim Chief of Staff, the way that Obama and his Administration deals with Congress is not going to change .

The Strange Saga of Shirley Sherrod, Part 3: President Pass-The-Buck

President Barack Hussein Obama (mm mmm mmmm) said Secretary Tom Vilsack rushed to judgment when he fired Shirley Sherrod from the Department of Agriculture because of charges of racism.

Gosh, Scooter.  I wonder who Secretary Vilsack gets his orders from?  And who gave Political Appointee Shirley Sherrod that position in the USDA in 2009  in the first place, just a few days before she and her husband were awarded that $13,000,000 in their lawsuit against that very same government agency?

Obama told ABC consumer correspondent Elisabeth Leamy in an exclusive “Good Morning America” interview:

He jumped the gun, partly because we now live in this media culture where something goes up on YouTube or a blog and everybody scrambles.

The president, who personally apologized to Sherrod for 7 minutes in a phone call yesterday, said he “instructed” his administration to learn from the circumstances (another teachable moment) surrounding her ouster:

I’ve told my team and I told my agencies that we have to make sure that we’re focusing on doing the right thing instead of what looks to be politically necessary at that very moment.  We have to take our time and, and think these issues through.

Like the Professor Gates situation last year, huh, Scooter?

If there’s a lesson to be drawn from this episode, it’s that rather than us jumping to conclusions and pointing fingers at each other, we should all look inward and try to examine what’s in our own hearts and, as a consequence, I think we will continue to make progress.

Thursday morning Sherrod told George Stephanopoulos that she didn’t know if the president was “fully behind” her and wanted to speak to Obama to ensure his support before deciding whether to accept the position Vilsack offered her at the USDA.

In detailing that now-legendary 7 minute phone call, the White House said:

The President reached Ms. Sherrod by telephone at about 12:35. They spoke for seven minutes.  The President expressed to Ms. Sherrod his regret about the events of the last several days. He emphasized that Secretary Vilsack was sincere in his apology yesterday, and in his work to rid USDA of discrimination.

The President told Ms. Sherrod that this misfortune can present an opportunity for her to continue her hard work on behalf of those in need, and he hopes that she will do so.

Sherrod was appointed Georgia Director for Rural Development by Tom Volsack and the USDA on July 25th 2009.  She graduated in the first class of the Rural Development Leadership Network and serves as Vice Chair of their Board of Directors.  She earned her master’s degree from Antioch through RDLN.  She serves as Georgia lead for both the Federation of Southern Cooperatives/Land Assistance Fund and the Southern Rural Black Women’s Initiative (SRBWI).

From wellesly.edu:

The Rural Development Leadership Network (RDLN), a national multicultural social change organization founded in 1983, supports community-based development in poor rural areas through hands-on projects, education and skills building, leadership development and networking. Through RDLN, emerging leaders from poor rural areas spearhead development projects and design related study through which they may earn a certificate or academic credential (bachelor’s, master’s, or Ph. D. degree.

From the website of the Federation of Southern Cooperatives/Land Assistance Fund:

We strive toward the development of self-supporting communities with programs that increase income and enhance other opportunities; and we strive to assist in land retention and development, especially for African Americans, but essentially for all family farmers.

We do this with an active and democratic involvement in poor areas across the South, through education and outreach strategies which support low-income people in molding their communities to become more humane and livable.

We assist in the development of cooperatives and credit unions as a collective strategy to create economic self-sufficiency.

On the front page of the website it proclaims:

Fighting to save Black-owned land since 1967 with cooperatives.

From the website of the third group Shirley Sherrod is involved with:

The Southern Rural Black Women’s Initiative for Economic and Social Justice (SRBWI) grew out of a meeting convened by the Ford Foundation in New York, in late 2000. A small group of women met there to discuss with representatives of the Foundation, their experiences working in the rural South assisting low income, low skill and underemployed Black women who were trying to improve the quality of their and their families’ lives. In January, 2002 a slightly larger group of women held a follow-up meeting which led to the formation of the Southern Rural Black Women’s Initiative for Economic and Social Justice which works in a 77 county target area across the Black Belt regions of Alabama and Southwest Georgia, and the Delta in Mississippi.

Sherrod was the keynote speaker at the National Community Land Trust Network’s annual conference in 2009 in Athens, GA.  This is directly from their introductory biography of her:

Shirley’s work began in 1965 as an organizer with the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC), Southwest Georgia Project. She helped to start the land trust, New Communities, Inc., that had 6,000 acres of land.

As I told you yesterday, the SNCC, in which her husband was involved, also, was led in 1966 by Stokely Carmichael.  Here are a few of his words of wisdom:

An organization which claims to be working for the needs of a community – as SNCC does – must work to provide that community with a position of strength from which to make its voice heard. This is the significance of black power beyond the slogan.

Before a group can enter the open society, it must first close ranks.

Capitalism is a stupid system, a backward system.

I maintain that every civil rights bill in this country was passed for white people, not for black people.

What a charmer.

Shirley and Charles Sherrod left the SNCC in 1967.  They did not leave immediately when Stokely Carmichael became chairman, even though they were aware of who he was, as he had been a member since joining while he was at Howard University from 1960 – 1964.

The latest wrinkle in our saga is that fact that Sherrod yesterday said that she might sue Andrew Breitbart.  Lotsa luck, Shirley.  The discovery process should be glorious.  Damages?  Nope.  You’ve been offered a better political appointment than you had.  You were offered some type of civil rights position in the USDA’s Office of Outreach.

In an interview Tuesday on CNN where she was lobbed softballs by Tony Harris (Chicago lost the Olympics???), she blamed Fox News and The Tea Party:

And this is the individual that is owed an apology?

Pray for the Children

My life growing up in the Southern part of America was really quite blessed.  We were not rich.  Both my parents worked.  But I was raised by a gentle, loving man, who was active in his church, and, who, as I later found out from my grandmother, served in World War II’s European Theater.  I did not find out that he landed at Normandy on D-Day until he passed away and my sister and I saw his medal.  My mother was the disciplinarian, who insisted that I do well in my studies.  Despite the fact that she swung a mean yardstick, I knew that I was loved.

Imagine, if you can, growing up Muslim in one of the hot spots for violence around the globe.  Imagine you’re 7 years old.  I won’t ask you to imagine the following.  It’s unimaginable.

A 7-year-old boy accused of being a spy has been hanged by Taliban militants.  The child was put on trial by the militant group and later found guilty of working for Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai’s government, according to the Daily Mail.

Afghanistan President Karzai labeled this barbarism a “crime against humanity.”

I don’t think there’s a crime bigger than that that even the most inhuman forces on earth can commit.

A 7-year-old boy cannot be a spy.  A 7-year-old boy cannot be anything but a seven-year-old boy, and therefore hanging or shooting to kill a seven-year-old boy… is a crime against humanity.

No kidding.

The little boy was publicly hanged in the Taliban stronghold of Helmand province.

As news of the hanging unfolded, Afghanistan was hit with further tragedy as a suicide bomber hit a wedding party, killing at least 40 and severely wounding more than 70 people.  Several children were among the dead and wounded.

What sort of effect does being surrounded by all this horrific violence have on these impressionable young minds?

From “Christian teacher ‘forced out’ after complaining Muslim pupils praised 9/11 hijackers ‘as heroes,'” by Lucy Ballinger for the Daily Mail, February 8:

A Christian teacher told today how he lost his job after complaining that Muslim pupils as young as eight hailed the September 11 hijackers as ‘heroes’.Nicholas Kafouris said he was forced from his £30,000-a-year post because he would not tolerate the ‘racist’ and ‘anti-Semitic’ behaviour of children.

He said the predominantly Muslim youngsters openly praised Islamic extremists in class, and hailed the terrorists of the 2001 atrocities as ‘martyrs’.

Mr Kafouris, 40, told how one pupil said to him, ‘Don’t touch me, you’re a Christian‘, when the teacher accidentally brushed against him with his arm.

Others said, ‘We want to be Islamic bombers when we grow up‘, and ‘the Christians and Jews are our enemies, you too because you’re a Christian‘, he added.

Mr Kafouris, who had taught at Bigland Green Primary School, in Tower Hamlets, East London, for 12 years, said there was a change in attitude of pupils at the school – where the majority of pupils are Muslim – after the World Trade Center attacks….

Mr Kafouris, a Greek Cypriot, said pupils told him, ‘We hate the Christians’ and, ‘We hate the Jews‘, despite his attempts to stop them….

He had filled out a ‘Racist Incident Reporting Sheet’ but claimed the headteacher Jill Hankey dismissed his concerns….

Some children were expressing delight at the death and killing of people of other cultures and religions: In the last week of November 2006 a child was talking about stabbing another child and I told him this was dangerous talk and that a lawyer had recently been stabbed by teenagers; his reply was:, “I’m glad that man died”, ‘Why?’ I asked. “Because he’s a Christian and English and we’re Muslim”.’

During a religious education lesson about Jonah and the whale, he claims one of the pupils asked if Jonah was a Jew, before shouting: ‘I hate the Jews, they’re our enemies.’

Mr Kafouris said he again tried to speak to the headteacher about it.

He said: ‘The head’s response was hostile and offensive again. The very first thing she said to me was: “Oh you again! You’re the only teacher that reports these things! Nobody else does!”.

‘Four times she repeated: “It’s because of your lack of discipline that they’re saying these things”.’…

from The Local, June 9:

Rioting was reported in the Stockholm suburb of Rinkeby on Tuesday night as 50-60 [Muslim]youths pelted police with stones and set alight to a building.”It is a war zone out here, it is raining stones”, said one witness who wished to remain anonymous to the Metro daily.

According to another witness a bus trying to enter the deprived area was forced to stop.

“Not a single window on the bus was intact,” an eye-witness said.

Police were given an indication that something was afoot earlier in the evening as youths gathered on the streets equipping themselves with paving stones.

“They did all they could to attract our attention,” said Mats Brännlund at Stockholm police.

But police decided to react first when a building housing a mentor programme for young people in the area, burst into flames.

“We had to help the emergency services to get through,” Brännlund said.

In total around 20 police patrols with dogs were present in the area throughout the night as they tried to restore calm. Police vehicles were also subject to stone throwing.

“If you attack the police with stones and set alight to buildings then I would venture to suggest that it can be classified as rioting,” he said.

The fire services deployed 21 staff from three fire stations at the location, but none were reported to have been subjected to stone throwing.

A branch of the Nordea bank was attacked at around midnight with the local police station also the target of stone throwing youths. Two men were detained in connection with the police station attack….

Is it because these young people were taught the following tenets of the “religion of peace”?

Qur’an (2:191-193) – And slay them wherever ye find them, and drive them out of the places whence they drove you out, for persecution [of Muslims] is worse than slaughter [of non-believers]…and fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is for Allah.

Qur’an (2:216) – Fighting is prescribed for you, and ye dislike it. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knoweth, and ye know not.

Qur’an (3:56) – As to those who reject faith, I will punish them with terrible agony in this world and in the Hereafter, nor will they have anyone to help.

Qur’an (3:151) – Soon shall We cast terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers, for that they joined companions with Allah, for which He had sent no authority.

Qur’an (4:74) – Let those fight in the way of Allah who sell the life of this world for the other. Whoso fighteth in the way of Allah, be he slain or be he victorious, on him We shall bestow a vast reward.

Qur’an (4:89) – They but wish that ye should reject Faith, as they do, and thus be on the same footing (as they): But take not friends from their ranks until they flee in the way of Allah (From what is forbidden). But if they turn renegades, seize them and slay them wherever ye find them; and (in any case) take no friends or helpers from their ranks.

Qur’an (4:95) – Not equal are those believers who sit (at home) and receive no hurt, and those who strive and fight in the cause of Allah with their goods and their persons. Allah hath granted a grade higher to those who strive and fight with their goods and persons than to those who sit (at home). Unto all (in Faith) Hath Allah promised good: But those who strive and fight Hath He distinguished above those who sit (at home) by a special reward.

Qur’an (4:104) – And be not weak hearted in pursuit of the enemy; if you suffer pain, then surely they (too) suffer pain as you suffer pain…

Qur’an (5:33) – The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His messenger and strive to make mischief in the land is only this, that they should be murdered or crucified or their hands and their feet should be cut off on opposite sides or they should be imprisoned; this shall be as a disgrace for them in this world, and in the hereafter they shall have a grievous chastisement.

Qur’an (8:12) – I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them.

As opposed to the tenets of the religion of over 75 % of Americans:

John 14:27  – Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.

John 16:33  – I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

Romans 5:1 – Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Romans 8:6  – For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.

Romans 14:17-19 – For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Whoever thus serves Christ is acceptable to God and approved by men. So then let us pursue what makes for peace and for mutual upbuilding.

There is no excuse for the intentional murder and corruption of children.

Obama: Muslim, Marxist, or Moron?

As a child, Barack Hussein Obama attended a private Madrassa, err, school in Indonesia while living there with his Mom and Step-father.  As a grown man, Barack Hussein Obama attended Trinity Church in chicago, led by Pastor Jeremiah Wright for over 20 years.  It is a Black Liberation Theology Church.  They view Christ as a revolutionary liberator like Che.  They do not believe in the Resurrection.  They are often referred to as being Muslim-lite. For more information about Black Liberation Theorlogy, please visit luoamerican.com.

But, is Obama a Muslim?  Here is a 10 minute video that has gone viral on youtube.com that may help you answer that question for yourself.

Regarding his political beliefs, he gave America a huge clue during the campaign when he spoke to a plumber named Joe during a campaign stop in Ohio:

And, during a Financial Reform Rally, on Wednesday April 28th, 2010, Scooter’s mask slipped off again:

We’re not, we’re not trying to push financial reform because we begrudge success that’s fairly earned. I mean, I do think at a certain point you’ve made enough money. But, you know, part of the American way is, you know, you can just keep on making it if you’re providing a good product or providing good service. We don’t want people to stop, ah, fulfilling the core responsibilities of the financial system to help grow our economy.

As opposed to the original remarks, written on the teleprompter:

Now, we’re not doing this to punish these firms or begrudge success that’s fairly earned. We don’t want to stop them from fulfilling their responsibility to help grow our economy.

Now you know why he takes his teleprompter wherever he goes.

Our mutual value is for us the value of our mutual objects.
Hence for us man himself is mutually of no value.
Karl Marx, Comment on James Mill (1844)

Through his background, as carefully hidden as it is, and his words and actions since becoming Leader of the (for now) Free World, Obama has revealed himself.  Some questions still remain:  How much did the Democratic Party know about this man and when did they know it?  The same goes for the sycophantic Main Stream Media.  They were all complicit in bringing this miserable excuse for a President of the United States to power.

Will America survive?  Yes, we will.  The mid-terms are upon us and Obama’s lame duck status will not improve.  He is too much of an idealogue to turn Moderate like Bill Clinton did.  He will be marooned on an island of his own design.  The key for Americans is to continue to be vocal in our opposition to his schemes for radically changing our blessed land.

Let your elected representatives know that the nefarious schemes and backroom dealing of the  Obama Administration  does not sit well with the overwhelming majority of Americans.  Also, let them know that they will not keep their cushy job if they vote in favor of any of his plans seemingly designed, whether out or ignorance or malice, to bring America to its knees.

Oh, and please, believers…keep prayed up.
