Ebola and the Obama Administration: A Deadly Incompetency

AFBrancoObamaEbola1092014First and foremost, I want the American people to know that our experts, here at the CDC and across our government, agree that the chances of an Ebola outbreak here in the United States are extremely low. We’ve been taking the necessary precautions, including working with countries in West Africa to increase screening at airports so that someone with the virus doesn’t get on a plane for the United States. In the unlikely event that someone with Ebola does reach our shores, we’ve taken new measures so that we’re prepared here at home. We’re working to help flight crews identify people who are sick, and more labs across our country now have the capacity to quickly test for the virus. We’re working with hospitals to make sure that they are prepared, and to ensure that our doctors, our nurses and our medical staff are trained, are ready, and are able to deal with a possible case safely. – President Barack Hussein Obama, “Remarks by the President on the Ebola Outbreak,  Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Atlanta, Georgia, 9/16/2014

…The dangers of a serious outbreak are extraordinarily low in the U.S.. But we are taking this very seriously at the highest levels of government.

…We are monitoring, supervising, overseeing in a much more aggressive way exactly what has taken place in Dallas initially and making sure that the lessons learned are then transmitted to hospitals and clinics all across the country. – President Barack Hussein Obama 10/15/2014

In January of 2,000, the NIC published a report titled, “The Global Infectious Disease Threat and Its Implications for the United States”.

The report stated that

Sub-Saharan Africa will remain the region most affected by the global infectious disease phenomenon–accounting for nearly half of infectious disease-caused deaths worldwide. Deaths from HIV/AIDS, malaria, cholera, and several lesser known diseases exceed those in all other regions. Sixty-five percent of all deaths in Sub-Saharan Africa are caused by infectious diseases. Rudimentary health care delivery and response systems, the unavailability or misuse of drugs, the lack of funds, and the multiplicity of conflicts are exacerbating the crisis. According to the AFMIC typology, with the exception of southern Africa, most of Sub-Saharan Africa falls in the lowest category. Investment in health care in the region is minimal, less than 40 percent of the people in countries such as Nigeria and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DROC) have access to basic medical care, and even in relatively well off South Africa, only 50 to 70 percent have such access, with black populations at the low end of the spectrum.

So, our government has known that Sub-Sahara Africa has been a disease incubator for all these years…and, yet, now President Barack Hussein Obama has decided that their plight is an emergency, sending 3,000 of our Brightest and Best into the midst of that diseased land, risking the possibility that they will be come infected and bring their infection back home with them.

Given this fact, my question is:

Why have we not stopped travel to and from our Sovereign Nation, as regards these diseased countries?

Rush Limbaugh said the following about the situation on his program yesterday.

The motivation for the people in charge here is politics, politics, politics. First, second, third.  Because it always, always, always is.  The substance of whatever they’re dealing with is way down on the list.  The politics, the ramifications.  The opportunity that politics presents.

“Never let a crisis go to waste,” as Rahm Emanuel said.  Here it is.  I still maintain that it would have been much easier to just ban flights from Africa than whatBush had to deal with during Katrina.  Yet these same people, they’re praising themselves for being so smart, doing the right thing, having so much compassion and care and love for their fellow man and so forth.

They just couldn’t wait to hammer Bush and browbeat everybody else that they wanted to accuse of totally botching Katrina, and they were throwing charges of racism around. Bush didn’t care because there were black people in New Orleans, and he especially didn’t care because  more black people leaving New Orleans and going to Houston would be better for the Republicans because that would mean fewer blacks voting in Louisiana.

That’s the way they were thinking.  That’s what they were charging.  Those were the accusations they were leveling at Bush.  All the while the Bush administration was leading a nationwide mobilizing effort to get supplies, repairs, assistance into New Orleans.  They’d told them to get out of the city.  Meanwhile, School Bus Nagin is over there blameless.  That governor, Kathleen Blanco? She was blameless.

Those two were the culprits in this for not being prepared.  Want to talk about not prepared?  How about all the school buses.  I don’t want to focus on Katrina.  But my focus is the same people leveling all these baseless, centrist, mean-spirited, extreme political charges at Bush and his regime with administration Katrina. How hard would it have been to ban airplanes from landing in this country from Africa?

That’s all they had to do, folks!

That is the first failure in their precious protocol was not closing our airports to people from Ebola countries, and we know why.  “That would have been really mean, because we couldn’t turn our backs on Liberia, especially because of slavery! Yes, because we had slavery! Liberia was set up so people who had been slaves could escape the horrors of this country and set up in their own paradise in Liberia, and we can never turn our backs on them.”

That’s why we didn’t shut down flights from Ebola countries in Africa.  So far we have at least two more people who are at risk of dying because we refused to take that single precaution, and we refused to take that single precaution all because it wouldn’t look nice and it wouldn’t seem fair.  You see, it’s just not fair that they have Ebola in Africa and we don’t.  That’s not fair.

No, I’m not saying that they define fairness as us then getting Ebola.  No, no, no. Don’t misunderstand.  I’m saying their preoccupation with diversity, equality and fairness and all this other stuff, leads them to not taking correct protective measures for the United States of America.  Pure and simple.  Whatever happened to that old argument? What if a Republican had come out and said: “If stopping flights from west Africa might just save one child…”?

Remember the Democrats used to say that? Remember there was a presidential debate in ’96, Bob Dole and Clinton?  It was Dole, right? He was the nominee. Right.  Dole actually mounted a very substantive charge at Clinton based on his catting around, his immorality, lying under oath and all that sort of stuff.  Clinton’s reply was to smile and to say (impression): “No attack, especially on me, ever fed a hungry child.”

The audience and media started crying. “Oh my God, he’s so good!” Well, what if somebody had stood up and said, “If stopping flights from Africa might save just one child…”? I don’t know. The Centers for Disease Control? If you didn’t know, if you just landed here from Mars you might want to call them the Centers for Disease Redistribution.  Because that’s what’s happening: CDR.

Could our Administration be that callous and manipulative? Probably, but I hope not. However, even if they are “only” incompetent, that is still scary enough.

Whatever the reason for this incompetency, this is quickly turning out to be reminiscent of the closing chase scenes of the Benny Hill Show…without the comedy.

May God protect us all.

Death By Internet “Trolling”

internet trollAs someone who has been stalked through cyberspace by Liberal Internet Trolls in the past, let me tell you, it is no fun at all.

They can be downright mean, nasty, remorseless, and relentless.

Yahoo News reports that

The death of a British woman accused of a vicious campaign of online abuse against the parents of missing girl Madeleine McCann has ignited debate over the growing scourge of Internet “trolls”.

Brenda Leyland was found dead in a hotel room earlier this month after being confronted by Sky News over her alleged trolling of Kate and Gerry McCann, whose three-year-old daughter went missing in Portugal in 2007.

An investigation is ongoing, but has found no evidence of foul play or third party involvement.

Using the Twitter handle @Sweepyface the 63-year-old reportedly posted thousands of hate-filled messages about the couple.

Her name figured on an 80-page dossier compiled by members of the public cataloguing alleged abuse directed at the couple and their two other children from a long list of Internet users, which is currently being investigated by the police.

It is a trend that has been replicated the world over against high-profile figures.

Zelda Williams, the daughter of US actor Robin Williams, recently quit Twitter after Internet trolls posted fake photos claiming to be her dead father.

Former model Charlotte Dawson, who was found dead at her Sydney apartment in February after battling depression, had been subjected to a torrent of abuse on Twitter.

– Global challenges –

“Every country is facing these challenges,” said British lawyer Mark Stephens.

“What they are doing is meeting the challenges in slightly different ways but ultimately very similar balances are being struck.”

The media lawyer said he had seen “a significant upswing” in online bullying cases.

But criminal prosecution, said Stephens, should be reserved for the most extreme cases.

“It is only a very small minority who are fixated, who take it to the extreme — people who are borderline certifiable,” he argued.

In America, most Internet Trolls belong to the Liberal Political Ideology.

It’s amazing how websites are a reflection of our political reality. Every website and Facebook Page, where there is political discussion, unless they are just Pro-one-way-or-the-other, puts out a plea for civil discourse in discussions that are on their site.

Unfortunately though, that never seems to happen. And, why is that?

In our American culture today, the art of civil discourse has degenerated into a shouting match. This wouldn’t be so bad, if both sides had the right to shout equally as loud as the other side.

The problem is, for some reason Conservatives are expected to mind our manners, be meek and mild, and follow the Marquis of Queensbury rules, while Liberals, libertarians, and Moderates (Social Liberals) call us everything but a child of God.

However, this doesn’t just happen on the Internet, this happens in the Real World as well… and it all starts with the President of the United States and trickles down from there.

Before Obama became President, in a private fund raiser in Pennsylvania, he referred to us American Conservatives as bitter clingers, clinging to our guns and Bibles. Then, the Main Stream Media, totally in love with their new messiah, told everyone who would listen, that if you did not vote for Barack Hussein Obama as President, you are a racist.

When Conservatives started to dig up historical facts about Obama,  the Democrats told us to sit down, shut up, and know “our role”.

After Obama was elected, and the country started to find out just exactly who he was, Conservatives started to speak out again. Again, we were told to sit down, shut up, and know our “role”.

Finally, we had enough and began a groundswell which led to the formation of  what has become known as the Tea Party.

The rise of the Tea Party movement and America’s return to Conservatism, which resulted in the political massacre known as the 2010 Midterm Elections, was such a surprise to them.  In their self-imposed isolation, they actually thought that the America people wanted them to continue their deal-making, soul-selling, business-as-usual politics.

They were in shock when American Conservatives stood up on their hind legs and gave the House of Representatives back to the Republican Party.

And, you know what happened afterwards?

The Liberal Establishment and their minions, the Internet Trolls,  began a relentless Social Media Campaign designed to make American Conservatives, once again, the “Silent Majority, calling us “racists” for speaking the truth about Barack Hussein Obama, and telling us to sit down, shut up, and know our “role”.

Are you beginning to see a pattern, boys and girls?

Liberal Trolls and their activity on the Internet are simply an extension of our culture at large.

Liberalism has always been a failed political ideology. It has never been embraced by the majority of Americans.

So, in order for Liberals to “get their way” on social issues and national policy, since their ideas are never excepted by the majority of Americans, they must resort to the facilitation of culture change through intimidation, rule by fiat, and via Executive Orders, if they have a president in the White House, who will do their bidding…which has certainly been the case for the last six and one-half years.

In other words, Liberal Activists, especially Internet Trolls, are dirty, manipulative, little cowards, who overestimate their power….and, their own intelligence.

You see, Liberal Democrats, including the “Trolling” variety, both paid and unpaid, expect average Conservative Americans to behave like a dog who has been whipped too much, and go cower in a corner and allow them to insult us, and walk all over us in our online “discussions”.

Their expectation of Conservative Behavior is predicated on the fact that they know that we were raised right, usually by two parents, and that the majority of us are Christians, and are reluctant to have an out-of-body experience on an Internet Chat Board or Political Facebook Page, telling them where to go and the temperature when they get there..

Therefore, Liberal Democrats feel as if they can take advantage of the good nature of American Conservatives, and walk all over us.

Well, I’ve got some news for them.

As a Christian American Conservative, I do my best to live my faith, every day.

However, boys and girls, don’t forget… Jesus ran the money changers out of the temple.

Ebola in America: Treatment By Confusion

EbolaFirst and foremost, I want the American people to know that our experts, here at the CDC and across our government, agree that the chances of an Ebola outbreak here in the United States are extremely low.

To quote Maxwell Smart, Agent 86,

Missed it by that much.

As more cases of Ebola are coming to light, here in the “Shining City on a Hill”, the question concerning the outbreak remains,

Who is in charge here?

USA Today reports that

As Thomas Eric Duncan’s family mourns the USA’s first Ebola death in Dallas, one question reverberates over a series of apparent missteps in the case: Who is in charge of the response to Ebola?

The answer seems to be — there really isn’t one person or agency. There is not a single national response.

The Atlanta-based Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has emerged as the standard-bearer — and sometimes the scapegoat — on Ebola.

Public health is the purview of the states, and as the nation anticipates more Ebola cases, some experts say the way the United States handles public health is not up to the challenge.

“One of the things we have to understand is the federal, state and local public health relationships,” says Michael Osterholm, director of the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy at the University of Minnesota. “Public health is inherently a state issue. The state really is in charge of public health at the state and local level. It’s a constitutional issue. The CDC can’t just walk in on these cases. They have to be invited in.”

…Though the CDC is tasked with readying the nation for an Ebola outbreak, then leading the national response, the Department of Homeland Security is responsible for protecting the borders, according to Thomas Skinner, a spokesman for the CDC, which is under the auspices of the Department of Health and Human Services.

The CDC collaborates with health departments and laboratories around the USA to make sure they are able to test for Ebola and respond rapidly if there is a case in their state, CDC spokeswoman Kirsten Nordlund said.

Uh huh.

Dr. Manny Alvarez, Fox News Senior Medical Editor for Health News, wrote the following:

Is the CDC in control?

I am not sure anymore. This latest case of Ebola in Texas has me wondering whether the CDC is prepared to eradicate any further contamination on U.S. soil.

CDC Director Dr. Tom Frieden stated that this latest case of Ebola was due to a breach in medical protocol. This current patient is a nurse who was part of the team treating Thomas Eric Duncan, who died last week from Ebola.

As we all know, Mr. Duncan was very sick and he was in an isolation unit for more than a week.

I would have imagined that the CDC would have been all over the supervision of this patient in the hospital, making sure that all protocols were being followed properly.

So you see my conundrum. Did the CDC drop the ball? Or are we blaming this breach of protocol on hospital staff?

I have been saying that not all hospitals are created equal and have the infrastructure necessary to fully protect its staff. The infrastructure is not available in many cities in the U.S.

So the question is: How are we going to control further contamination?

The time has come to have specific centers where patients with suspected Ebola need to be monitored and treated. Hospital staff needs to be better protected.

I think that Dr. Frieden needs to evaluate whether he is qualified for this national task. I think that Dr. Frieden needs to consider whether to delegate this responsibility to the Department of Defense, because dealing with Ebola warrants a military medical approach rather than a bureaucratic political Washington approach.

Tough decisions need to be made. Dr. Frieden’s argument of not closing West Africa to commercial travel does not hold water. A better approach would be to have military flights bring supplies and volunteers to eradicate this epidemic in that continent. It would minimize the potential dangers to other communities around the planet as the world works on better treatment plans. Otherwise the Ebola war will continue for generations to come.

So, to summarize, a deadly disease, which has been contained in Africa for quite some time now, is now here in America, while 3,000 American Sons and Daughters, our Brightest and Best, have been sent by Obama to “combat it” and possibly become exposed to it.

What happens when they bring it back home with them?

Meanwhile, those tens of thousands of “unaccompanied minors” who invaded our Southern Border recently, have been spread all over America by Barack Hussein Obama.

And, as I reported before, they brought tuberculosis and other diseases with them.

The question remains,

Who is in charge here?

Obama’s “War By Remote Control” Strategy Failing. No Shock. Just Awww.

AFBrancoObamaCarterAward1092014In an interview conducted by New Yorker Editor David Remick, back in January of this year, the 44th President of the United States of America, Barack Hussein Obama, said the following about a Muslim Terrorist Group, which he would later refer to as ISIL (Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant), and everyone else (except for the UN and some of Obama’s Minions in the Main Streat Media) would call ISIS (the Islamic State in Iraq and al-Sham):

The analogy we use around here sometimes, and I think is accurate, is if a jayvee team puts on Lakers uniforms that doesn’t make them Kobe Bryant. I think there is a distinction between the capacity and reach of a bin Laden and a network that is actively planning major terrorist plots against the homeland versus jihadists who are engaged in various local power struggles and disputes, often sectarian.

As the Terrorist Organization grew in power and aggression, invading Iraq, Obama was pressed to recognize the threat, and proceeded to drop bombs on the Muslim Barbarians and spy on their activities using unmanned drones, resulting in retaliation, involving the beheading of two American Journalists, while they captured a strategic dam on the Euphrates River, threatening to blow it up and flood the region around Baghdad, killing tens of thousands of innocent Iraqis.

Unfortunately, on August 29th, our skittish Commander-in-Chief reluctantly admitted that he did not have a clue as to what he was doing.

Fox News.com reported at the time, that,

President Obama is facing intense criticism for admitting Thursday “we don’t have a strategy yet” for dealing with Islamic State militants in Syria, despite warnings from top military advisers and others that the group must be confronted on that side of the border.

The president made the comment during a briefing with reporters in which he overtly played down the prospect of any imminent military action in Syria. He tried to temper speculation that he was about to roll out a “full scale” strategy, one that might expand the current, limited airstrike campaign in northern Iraq.

“I don’t want to put the cart before the horse. We don’t have a strategy yet,” Obama said.

As the White House later clarified, he was talking specifically about a military strategy for Syria. But Republican critics pointed out that the ISIS presence in Syria has been festering for a long time, and is only growing in strength.

Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., one of the toughest critics in Congress of the administration’s Middle East policies, tweeted the president’s quote with a reminder: “#ISIS is largest, richest terrorist group in history & 192,000 dead in #Syria.”

Karl Rove, Fox News analyst and former George W. Bush administration adviser, said he was “appalled” by the president’s comment.

“He was warned about the role that ISIS was playing inside Syria, and he has had all that time to develop a strategy about what to do about ISIS in Syria and he still doesn’t,” Rove told Fox News.

Finally, with public outcry and concern turned up to “11”, like Spinal Tap’s Guitar Amp (look them up, children), and his popularity at 38% and dropping, Obama suddenly came up with a strategy, which he would present to a worried nation last Tuesday evening.

Here are some excerpts from whitehouse.gov…

…In a region that has known so much bloodshed, these terrorists are unique in their brutality.  They execute captured prisoners.  They kill children.  They enslave, rape, and force women into marriage.  They threatened a religious minority with genocide.  And in acts of barbarism, they took the lives of two American journalists — Jim Foley and Steven Sotloff.

So ISIL poses a threat to the people of Iraq and Syria, and the broader Middle East — including American citizens, personnel and facilities.  If left unchecked, these terrorists could pose a growing threat beyond that region, including to the United States.  While we have not yet detected specific plotting against our homeland, ISIL leaders have threatened America and our allies.  Our Intelligence Community believes that thousands of foreigners -– including Europeans and some Americans –- have joined them in Syria and Iraq.  Trained and battle-hardened, these fighters could try to return to their home countries and carry out deadly attacks.

…Our objective is clear: We will degrade, and ultimately destroy, ISIL through a comprehensive and sustained counter-terrorism strategy.

The, he got vaguely specific, in describing his strategy:

Working with the Iraqi government, we will expand our efforts beyond protecting our own people and humanitarian missions, so that we’re hitting ISIL targets as Iraqi forces go on offense.  Moreover, I have made it clear that we will hunt down terrorists who threaten our country, wherever they are.  That means I will not hesitate to take action against ISIL in Syria, as well as Iraq.  This is a core principle of my presidency:  If you threaten America, you will find no safe haven.

Uh huh.

The best laid schemes of Mice and Men oft go awry, And leave us nothing but grief and pain, For promised joy! – Robert Burns, To a Mouse (Poem, November, 1785)

Independent.co.uk reports that

America’s plans to fight Islamic State are in ruins as the militant group’s fighters come close to capturing Kobani and have inflicted a heavy defeat on the Iraqi army west of Baghdad.
The US-led air attacks launched against Islamic State (also known as Isis) on 8 August in Iraq and 23 September in Syria have not worked. President Obama’s plan to “degrade and destroy” Islamic State has not even begun to achieve success. In both Syria and Iraq, Isis is expanding its control rather than contracting.

Isis reinforcements have been rushing towards Kobani in the past few days to ensure that they win a decisive victory over the Syrian Kurdish town’s remaining defenders. The group is willing to take heavy casualties in street fighting and from air attacks in order to add to the string of victories it has won in the four months since its forces captured Mosul, the second-largest city in Iraq, on 10 June. Part of the strength of the fundamentalist movement is a sense that there is something inevitable and divinely inspired about its victories, whether it is against superior numbers in Mosul or US airpower at Kobani.

In the face of a likely Isis victory at Kobani, senior US officials have been trying to explain away the failure to save the Syrian Kurds in the town, probably Isis’s toughest opponents in Syria. “Our focus in Syria is in degrading the capacity of [Isis] at its core to project power, to command itself, to sustain itself, to resource itself,” said US Deputy National Security Adviser Tony Blinken, in a typical piece of waffle designed to mask defeat. “The tragic reality is that in the course of doing that there are going to be places like Kobani where we may or may not be able to fight effectively.”

Unfortunately for the US, Kobani isn’t the only place air strikes are failing to stop Isis. In an offensive in Iraq launched on 2 October but little reported in the outside world, Isis has captured almost all the cities and towns it did not already hold in Anbar province, a vast area in western Iraq that makes up a quarter of the country. It has captured Hit, Kubaisa and Ramadi, the provincial capital, which it had long fought for. Other cities, towns and bases on or close to the Euphrates River west of Baghdad fell in a few days, often after little resistance by the Iraqi Army which showed itself to be as dysfunctional as in the past, even when backed by US air strikes.

Today, only the city of Haditha and two bases, Al-Assad military base near Hit, and Camp Mazrah outside Fallujah, are still in Iraqi government hands. Joel Wing, in his study –”Iraq’s Security Forces Collapse as The Islamic State Takes Control of Most of Anbar Province” – concludes: “This was a huge victory as it gives the insurgents virtual control over Anbar and poses a serious threat to western Baghdad”.

The battle for Anbar, which was at the heart of the Sunni rebellion against the US occupation after 2003, is almost over and has ended with a decisive victory for Isis. It took large parts of Anbar in January and government counter-attacks failed dismally with some 5,000 casualties in the first six months of the year. About half the province’s 1.5 million population has fled and become refugees. The next Isis target may be the Sunni enclaves in western Baghdad, starting with Abu Ghraib on the outskirts but leading right to the centre of the capital.

For President Barack Hussein Obama to attempt to prosecute this war by remote control, with apparently no military strategy in place at all, is one the silliest things I’ve ever seen in my life.

As has been noted by several military analysts, eventually, Obama is going to have to put troops on the ground. That is, additional troops to the troops which he already has on the ground in the role of  “military advisors”.

Meanwhile, Obama’s bombing runs are doing minimal damage, at best.

The fact of the matter is, you cannot bomb buildings and expect to kill your enemy, when the enemy is a guerrilla force, which  does not stay in any building for any period of time. Just like their Nomadic Barbaric Ancestors, these guerrillas keep moving, regrouping, and attacking.

Obama truly believed that he could count on “our Muslim Allies” in the Region to be our “boots on the ground”.

President Pantywaist chose to ignore the fact that they hate “The Great Satan” (us) more than they do their fellow Muslims from ISIS.

As I wrote, back when all of this started,

Welcome to Iraqi-Nam.

Obama at 39%. Does Anyone Know a Good Doctor…Who Hasn’t Closed His Office?

doctorYesterday, gallup.com reported that President Barack Hussein Obama’s popularity has dropped to 39%.

Quite Frankly, I am surprised that it is that high.

Let’s take a look at the way Americans Feel about his Signature Legislation, the disaster given the ironic name of the Affordable Care Act, or “Obamacare”.

Gallup.com reported on October 8th, that

…Although more provisions of the Affordable Care Act have taken effect over the past year, more Americans still say the law has hurt rather than helped them. Compared with early 2014, fewer Americans say it has had no effect, although this group is still in the majority, at 54%.

…Americans overall are both more positive and more negative about the law’s effect on themselves and their families. Since the start of this year, the percentage saying the law has helped them has increased from 10% to 16%, while the percentage saying it has hurt them has also gone up, and by a similar amount, from 19% to 27%.

At the same time, overall attitudes about the law have stayed constant over the past year. Currently, 41% of Americans approve of the Affordable Care Act, commonly referred to as “Obamacare,” while 53% disapprove.

Attitudes toward the Affordable Care Act remain sharply divided along party lines. Democrats are much more likely than Republicans and independents to say the law has helped them, and Republicans are much more likely to say it has hurt them. Similar percentages of Americans from all three partisan groups say the law has had no effect.

…The 15% of Democrats who say the law has hurt them is up from 6% in May. At the same time, the percentage of Democrats who say the law has helped them has also increased slightly, from 23% to 27%. Republicans’ views now are essentially the same as they were in May.

…Americans’ views on the long-term effect of the healthcare law on the healthcare situation in the U.S. have barely budged over the last year, and remain more negative than positive. Forty-six percent say the law will make things worse in the long run, while 36% say it will make things better and 15% say it will not make much difference.

…Again, the negative tilt toward the law is largely attributable to Republicans’ being much more negative about the law’s effects than Democrats are positive about them. Sixty-six percent of Democrats say the law will make the U.S. healthcare situation better, while 80% of Republicans believe it will make things worse.

…President Barack Obama in a recent speech praised the ACA’s success, saying, “It’s working pretty well in the real world.” Gallup’s ongoing tracking of the uninsured rate shows that the percentage of Americans without health insurance is 3.7 points lower now than it was in late 2013, before the requirement to have health insurance took effect.

Even though the healthcare law appears to have lowered the U.S. uninsured rate, Americans’ views toward the law overall and its effect on the U.S. healthcare situation in the long run continue to be more negative than positive. Views may change as more Americans gain insurance through the 2014 open enrollment period, which begins Nov. 15.

A survey was conducted by fax and online by the Doctor Patriot Medical Association, from April 18 to May 22, 2012. DPMAF obtained the office fax numbers of 36,000 doctors in active clinical practice, and 16, 227 faxes were successfully delivered. Doctors were asked to return their completed surveys by fax, or online at a web address included in the faxed copy. Browser rules prevented doctors from filing duplicate surveys, and respondents were asked to provide personal identification for verification. The response rate was 4.3% for a total of 699 completed surveys.

SURVEY RESPONDENTS

  • Doctors from 45 states responded, in addition to 130 who did not provide their geographical information.
  • Most are in solo or small group practice (81%) and office-based (89%) versus hospital-based (11%).
  • Most of the doctors are mid-career (77%) and have been in practice between 11 and 30 years.

GENERAL CONCLUSIONS:

  • Almost unanimous that medicine is on the wrong track, and overwhelmingly blame the government;
  • Government-imposed solutions (PPACA, electronic health information) destined to fail;
  • Highest numbers ever opting out of Medicare or refuse Medicaid;
  • Vacuum in leadership in medical profession, feel abandoned by AMA & organized medicine;
  • Corporate medicine (including hospital and insurance companies) is intentionally trying to destroy private practice;
  • Doctors are pessimistic – failing financially & assume things will worsen;
  • See doctors and patients as the solution – not government;
  • Believe direct payment by patients will restore accountability & patient control;
  • Restored autonomy, elimination of government involvement, increased patient responsibility and free market reforms are solutions.

KEY FINDINGS

  • 90% say the medical system is on the WRONG TRACK

  • 83% say they are thinking about QUITTING

  • 61% say the system challenges their ETHICS

  • 85% say the patient-physician relationship is in a TAILSPIN

  • 65% say GOVERNMENT INVOLVEMENT is most to blame for current problems

  • 72% say individual insurance mandate will NOT result in improved access care

  • 49% say they will STOP accepting Medicaid patients

  • 74% say they will STOP ACCEPTING Medicare patients, or leave Medicare completely

  • 52% say they would rather treat some Medicaid/Medicare patient for FREE

  • 57% give the AMA a FAILING GRADE representing them

  • 1 out of 3 doctors is HESITANT to voice their opinion

  • 2 out of 3 say they are JUST SQUEAKING BY OR IN THE RED financially

  • 95% say private practice is losing out to CORPORATE MEDICINE

  • 80% say DOCTORS/MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS are most likely to help solve things

  • 70% say REDUCING GOVERNMENT would be single best fix.

This survey hit home recently, as my and my wife’s primary doctors both decided that they were too old to put up with this mess any longer, both closing their offices. Her’s decided to become a hospitalist, dealing with in-hospital patients only. My doctor joined a local “See You Now”-type clinic.

I was literally raised by 3 doctors. No, I’m not some genetic experiment, like Arnold Schwarzenegger was in the movie “Twins” with Danny DeVito. I was born a severe asthmatic, caused by being born a month premature to a Mother 3 days before her 40th birthday.

These three men worked in the same clinic in Mid-town Memphis, TN. They later went on to become the chairmen of the Medical and Surgery Departments at a local hospital.

Some of my most vivid childhood memories involve laying in one of their examination rooms, with oxygen strapped to my face, as my beloved Daddy waited nervously, by my side.

Asthma treatment back then, consisted of a swig of nasty-tasting yellow Triaminic Syrup, a shot of Epinephrine, an antibiotic shot (usually a Mycin drug), a prescription for Prednisone to alleviate the inflammation, and a prescription for an anti-biotic (again, usually a mycin drug). Thank goodness, back then, (1960s through early 1970s) Sears, where both of my parents worked, had a really good insurance plan.

That being said, I owe my life to those three devoted physicians and the Greatest Healthcare System in the World.

Unfortunately, that Healthcare System, thanks to the megalomaniac who resides at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, DC, is in the process of going the way of the Dodo Bird.

So, the question persists, regarding this fiasco euphemistically named the Affordable Care Act, as my wife and I try to figure out whom to choose as our primary physicians, in order to continue the maintenance medicines which we both requite to continue living,

How can a state-run Healthcare System function without any doctors? Answer:  it can’t.

Memphis Mob Violence: Mayor And DOJ “Jail Not the Answer”

Memphis KrogerFlashMobEach new generation born is in effect an invasion of civilization by little barbarians, who must be civilized before it is too late. – Dr. Thomas Sowell

Friday Night Football. High School students, parents, and teachers rooting from thier team as they line up er stadium lights across the country.

Great memories, made to last a lifetime.

And now, the Administration of my hometown wants to end that tradition, in order to “protect the citizens” from teenage thugs who are beating the snot out of the very citizens he is supposed to be protecting.

Friday Night Football games could end for high schools in Memphis, because of an increase in youth mob violence.

Memphis Mayor A C Wharton has asked Superintendent Dorsey Hopson to look into the possibility of ending night games on Friday breaking one of the biggest fall traditions in the Mid-South.

“What I told him today that we would look at it, we certainly want to be good neighbors,” Hopson told WMC.

Hopson added that the problem isn’t what’s happening inside school stadiums where the games are played.

“We are not having incidents at the games. What’s happening is things are happening outside the games after the game issues,” Hopson shared with WMC.

There have been waves of violent attacks by youth in recent weeks, including an attack at a local Kroger store and a high school mob who attacked a mother’s car.

Hopson explained that he thinks poverty and other factors are contributing to the increase in students acting out. He also said that something needs to be done right away about the social conditions people are living under before a change in the behavior of the youth happens.

Congressman Steve Cohen announced Wednesday that more than $800,000 in federal dollars will be spent in the 9th district to fight youth behavior and prevent violence. A portion of the money will be used to target at-risk teenagers and help their families create violence prevention strategies. Anti-violence programs will also be established in schools within the area with the money.

What the heck ever happened to actually punishing these tugs for their crimes?

The Obama/Holder Department of Justice Guidelines happened, that’s what.

WREG.com reports the following…

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — US Attorney Edward Stanton III was in Memphis to talk about something that’s on everyone’s mind: youth violence.

He says court summons instead of jail time aren’t the cause of an uptick in violence, but admits the justice system needs to make serious changes.

“I want to be clear that Smart on Crime is not a hug-a-thug policy or program,” he said.

Stanton says it’s time for a change in the justice system because Memphis, and the rest of Shelby County can’t arrest their way out of violence. He argued mass incarceration has never made our streets safer.

“We need to understand that one size does not fit all. What we may have tried 15, 20 years ago or when I was a youth, those things may not be working,” he said.

Stanton says this is especially true with kids today. He says the Memphis streets he grew up on are much more dangerous, and kids are getting sucked into crime at a much younger age.

“We didn’t have to worry about drugs or gangs or bullets flying over our heads. I think what we are doing today is a great start,” he said.

He said Thursday’s Justice Reform Conference shows the community wants to help bring change to the streets. And he says this is exactly where change starts.

Stanton brushed off suggestions the Department of Justice mandate that gives most kids court summons instead of jail time is leading to more violent crime. He says this mandate protects kids from a potentially racially biased system.

“We want to be vigilant in holding individuals accountable but the constitution prevails and safeguards must be in place before doing those things,” he said.

These messages of community and coming together to tackle the problem are exactly what everyone else in leadership roles are saying, but Memphians have said time and again, enough with the talk, let’s see, some action.

My beloved hometown of Memphis, Tennessee has been gutted by decades of poor financial stewardship and corrupt Black Democratic Leadership, who never saw a dollar they couldn’t spend, or a relative or friend that they couldn’t give a job with the city to.

And now, Memphis’ chickens have come home… to roost…brought about by a failed school system which turned in its charter in a successful scheme to take over the more affluent county school system, only to see the county municipalities start their own individual systems, Memphis’ black citizens murdering each other every night, and gangs of black teenagers beatomg the snot out of innocent people, simply because they’re bored, they have no parental guidance, and they know, as “juvenile offenders”, that nothing will happen to them.

President Obama will not address Memphis’ problem.

And, Outgoing (Praise the Lord) Attorney General Eric Holder is noticeably silent as well as are the Justice Brothers, Revs. Jackson and Sharpton.

For, boys and girls, the harsh reality of an out-of-control populace of a Democratically-ran city, well on its way to becoming another Detroit, must be ignored at all costs…due to political correctness, political expediencies, and the Liberal naivete that these “misguided lren do not need to be punished for ‘acting out”. They need to be “affirmed”.

Because, for these self-serving Democrat Liberal Politicians, as President Barack Hussein Obama himself has conceded, it is not about those “Black Youth” who break the law, it’s about making up for “past transgressions” that America was supposed to have moved past, with the election of Barack Hussein Obama.

Under the presidency of “The Great Uniter”, America has become more divided.

Obama, Ebola, and the Little Dutch Boy

AFBrancoObamaEbola1092014In response to the death of the first Ebola patient in our country, Obama and his Administration have announced that they are going to take drastic steps to prevent a pandemic…They’re going to take Airline Passengers’ temperatures.

The New York Times reports that

Federal health officials will require temperature checks for the first time at five major American airports for people arriving from the three West African countries hardest hit by the deadly Ebola virus. However, health experts said the measures were more likely to calm a worried public than to prevent many people with Ebola from entering the country.

Still, they constitute the first large-scale attempt to improve security at American ports of entry since the virus arrived on American soil last month.

They are also a notable policy shift at a time of rising concern about the disease. Public health officials had initially resisted the move, saying such checks would be an unnecessary use of thinly stretched resources. But pressure for tougher action mounted. Republicans sharply criticized President Obama for what they called a lax response. Many, including Senator Ted Cruz of Texas, have suggested looking at air travel restrictions from West Africa, something the administration has rejected.

The temperature check requirements were announced hours after the first Ebola patient to have the illness diagnosed in the United States, Thomas Eric Duncan, a Liberian, died in a Dallas hospital, intensifying questions about whether he might have survived had he been admitted to a hospital when he first sought care there in late September.

The president’s Republican critics were largely silent Wednesday after Mr. Duncan died and the administration announced the airport screenings. It was unclear if the Republicans saw the temperature checks as a sufficient response to the epidemic or if they did not want to be perceived as seeking political gain from Mr. Duncan’s death.

That Mr. Duncan was able to get from Liberia to Dallas as the disease surged out of control in West Africa underscored the risk of spreading disease in a globalized world. An infected Liberian-American, Patrick Sawyer, carried the disease to Nigeria, Africa’s most populous country, on a flight for business. Mr. Duncan had come to the United States to reunite with family.

“We are a global village,” said Howard Markel, a professor of the history of medicine at the University of Michigan. “Germs have always traveled. The problem now is they can travel with the speed of a jet plane.”

The new requirement of temperature checks has broad implications for health departments across the country.

In a conference call with state and local officials Wednesday afternoon, Mr. Obama expressed confidence in the procedures already in place to prevent the spread of Ebola, but urged them to be vigilant in the days and weeks ahead.

“As we saw in Dallas, we don’t have a lot of margin for error,” Mr. Obama told the group, according to a transcript released by the White House. “If we don’t follow protocols and procedures that are put in place, then we’re putting folks in our communities at risk.”

Gosh, really, Scooter? That’s not what you said…

First and foremost, I want the American people to know that our experts, here at the CDC and across our government, agree that the chances of an Ebola outbreak here in the United States are extremely low.

Okay,. We know that the source of Ebola is Africa. Why don’t we install a quaratine?

Oh, no. Like every other part of the Obama Administration, the CDC is much too smart for common sense. After all, they are our intellectual superiors.

The first priority of federal health officials is to protect Americans from Ebola, but “an outbreak anywhere is potentially a threat everywhere,” the head of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Sunday.

In recent days, a handful of lawmakers, including Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, have called for restrictions on air travel between Ebola-affected countries in West Africa and the United States.

On Saturday, there was a brief scare at Newark Liberty International Airport when a passenger who had traveled from West Africa was ill on a flight from Brussels. A CDC official met the aircraft and the passenger was taken to a hospital, where “it became clear that the symptoms that individual had weren’t consistent with Ebola,” CDC Director Thomas Frieden said. The patient was discharged and was feeling better.

Despite the concerns sparked by such incidents, Frieden emphasized the importance of keeping the travel pipeline open to Ebola-stricken countries in order to fight the outbreak at its source.

“If we don’t control the outbreak, there’s a real risk that it could spread to other countries in Africa” and beyond, Frieden said. “To do that, we need regular travel.”

“If we make it harder to fight Ebola in West Africa, we actually increase our own risk,” he said. He noted that everyone leaving Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone is being screened and said the CDC is considering a plan to screen everyone coming into the U.S. from those countries.

“We’ve seen a lot of understandable concern because of the deadly nature of Ebola,” Frieden said. “We want (people) to be scared. We want them to have a healthy respect.”

Before Thomas Eric Duncan was diagnosed in Dallas, the CDC was getting 50 to 100 calls or e-mails daily. Now it’s getting about 800.

So, by “keeping the pipeline open”, we can better fight this disease?

That sort of twisted logic goes against every medical procedure that I have ever seen, and I worked 7 years with the physicians and the medical staff in a world-renowned hospital.

The normal protocol, which I have observed, firsthand, would be isolation, then treatment.

You don’t treat a deadly disease, like you are the little Dutch boy. holding his finger in the dam to keep it from busting open.

Now, with the death yesterday of the first Ebola Patient in the United States, and Ebola-like symptoms being reported by others, one has to wonder how long it will take before we receive reports of the infection of members of our Brightest and Best, 3,000 of whom have been sent into the Dante’s Inferno of Pestilence, Africa, by their Commander-in-Chief, Obama, to “combat” this disease.

May God protect them…and, us.

Panetta Ponders Presidential Priority Problem

AFBrancoObamaPanetta1072014Clintonista Leon Panetta is making the rounds of the talk shows, hawking his new tell – all book detailing the goings-on inside the Obama White House.

According to the Former Secretary of Defense, the Commander-in-Chief has a Priority Problem.

Breitbart.com reports that

Tuesday on MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports,” former Defense Secretary Leon Panetta declared President Barack Obama’s approach to be like a law professor, however without the aspect of rolling up his sleeves and to get the job done.
Instead he suggested Obama has given up.

Panetta said, “He [Obama] approaches things like a law professor in presenting a logic of his position. There is nothing wrong with that. We want to have a president who thinks through the issues. My experience in Washington is that logic alone doesn’t work. Once you lay out a position, you are going to roll up your sleeves and you have to fight to get it done. That is key in Washington. In order for presidents to succeed, they cannot just — when they run into problems, step back and give up.”

“There is a feeling and I have a feeling that the leadership and the president have given up on the big issues facing this country whether it’s immigration or a budget deal or infrastructure funding or trade or energy. there is a sense that you can’t deal with that. This country needs that. They can’t give up.”

Don’t Worry. Even though the world is out-of-control, everything’s just breezy with the Preezy. And, as long as he has himself, he will never be alone.

Per weeklystandard.com,

At a DNC fundraiser today, President Barack Obama voiced a concern many Americans might now have. “[T]here’s a sense possibly that the world is spinning so fast and nobody is able to control it,” Obama told Democrats at the White Street Restaurant in New York, New York.

But Obama suggested that he has things under control.

I was here in New York just a couple weeks ago — you noticed the traffic was even worse then — during the United Nations General Assembly annual gathering of world leaders. And it’s appropriate to talk a little bit on the front end about why this particular General Assembly was so indicative of America’s position in the world. There are times where I think in this country we doubt ourselves, and there are times when we’re uncertain of all the changes that are taking place all across the globe. And understandably, when you see the headlines every single day and you read about ISIS and Ebola and the Russian incursions into Ukraine, there’s a sense possibly that the world is spinning so fast and nobody is able to control it.

And yet if you look at what happened at the General Assembly on the terrorist group ISIS and the need to mobilize an international community to push back against their radical violence, it was the United States that mobilized that coalition both in the Middle East and around the world.

When you look at Ebola, a humanitarian crisis in West Africa, but also a public health crisis that has the possibility of affecting people around the world, it was the United States that is committed to building the infrastructure that allows health workers to get in and start saving lives and making sure that children aren’t dying on the streets.

When it came to blunting Russian aggression, it was the United States that mobilized NATO countries and the world community to stand up for the principle that people are independent and have the ability to make their own decisions about their own lives and to seek freedom and prosperity on their own terms.
The commander in chief continued:

On climate change, it was the United States that led the way in continuing to mobilize the world community to reduce carbon emissions that are going to affect our kids and our grandchildren.

On every single issue of importance, when there are challenges and there are opportunities around the world, it’s not Moscow they call; it’s not Beijing. They call us. Because they understand that for all the challenges we sometimes face and the mistakes that we occasionally make, that America continues to be the one indispensable nation — (applause) — and that what we stand for –– liberty and democracy and conservation and fairness and justice — those are the things that people around the world aspire to and seek, and they expect the United States to be on their side.

And that’s something we can be very proud of. It’s a burden. It means we do more than anybody else. We’re asked to respond even by folks who are critical of us. People don’t always appreciate the work that we do. But in the end, it’s a burden that we bear proudly because it’s part of what makes us American, and it’s part of what that lady with the torch in the middle of the water means. It’s part of what attracts people from every corner of the globe to this country, understanding that for all our flaws there’s something essential that we stand for that nobody else does, and we’re willing to put our money and time and effort and resources and occasionally our lives on behalf of that.

Well gosh, boys and girls. Don’t you feel better already?

And since the world is Obama’s oyster, that gives him time to take care of what’s really #1 on his Priority List.

According to nationalreview.com

President Obama is participating in his 56th fundraiser of 2014, Republicans note, as his fading popularity limits his ability to support Democratic candidates otherwise.

“Today Obama is doing three fundraisers to help Democrats running in the midterms, which brings his total to 56 this year,” Republican National Committee spokesman Raffi Williams points out. “This is interesting given that Senate Democrats are running from him and his policies every chance they get. With Obama’s toxic approval ratings it’s not surprising that vulnerable Democrats want to hide how indebted to Obama they are if they get reelected.”

The fundraisers “will take place in private, sparing the candidates on the ballot from a presidential photo op that could wind up in a Republican campaign ad,” according to the Associated Press.

The RNC list of Obama’s fundraisers shows that he has helped the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, the Democratic National Committee, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, and the Democratic Governors’ Association. He has also raised money for Senate majority leader Harry Reid’s super PAC, the Senate Majority PAC. Reid’s group is “the biggest spending super PAC by far,” according to NPR.

It’s unsurprising that Obama is raising money for his party, but the Democrats’ dependence on a financial advantage this cycle puts candidates who are avoiding Obama in an awkward spot. They don’t want him around, but they need the money he raises.

“President Obama’s name is not on the ballot and on Election Day I won’t owe President Obama anything,” Representative Bruce Braley(D., Iowa) said, for instance, during his first Senate debate with Republican opponent Joni Ernst.

Priorities matter.

Our nation was built on the backs of leaders. American men and women who saw what needed to be done to ensure the continuance of our liberty…and, they went out and did it.

These leaders included Mother and Fathers, who took responsibility for themselves , their relationship, and their children…including handling the important parental task of guiding and disciplining those young lives, whom they were responsible for.

As I have written before, I am the son of members of the Greatest Generation, those who sacrificed to keep their families together and our country strong and free.

To this day, you can see “4…5…6…” on the back of my legs from my mother’s yardstick.

But, I digress…

Even “public servants”, back in the day” took the responsibility of their jobs very seriously, from the local dog catcher to the President of the United States.

Everybody “took care of business”, even the Leader of the Free World, as Harry Truman reminded us, with a sign sitting on his desk, which read,

The Buck Stops Here.

…as opposed to the sign which sits on our current President’s desk in the Oval Office, which reads,

It’s Not My Fault!

For America to reclaim our rightful place, as the Greatest Country on God’s Green Earth, it is going to take LEADERSHIP…

An attribute which the current president severely lacks.

Obama does not understand…

Liberty is Freedom…with Responsibility.

The New Fascism (October 7, 2014 Edition)

White House Youth CorpsMy late father was one of thousands of brave young American men, who landed on the beaches of Normandy , France on June 6, 1944, in the military operation which broke the backs of the Nazis, leading to the end of World War II,  now known as D-Day.

World War II was a war against Fascism.

What is Fascism? Per merriam-webster.com, it is a

political philosophy, movement, or regime (as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition.

Ladies and gentlemen, I firmly believe that America is now fighting a new war against fascism.

It’s not a war that is being fought fought with guns and bullets, But instead with state referendums, Congressional votes, Executive Orders, and judicial activism.

And, it’s not our Brightest and Best who are dying on this field of battle, but rather, it is our Constitutional Freedoms which are dying an ignoble death, pierced by the arrows of socialism and political correctness.

By now, there’s some out there in the audience saying, “Oh Lord, the crazy old cracker’s overreacting again.”

No, Skippy, I’m not.

If you try to talk to a liberal about this New Fascism, they will deny that there is any fascism going on at all. In fact, they will tell you that this is “the will of the people” and they will site Democratically-stacked push polls in order to back their opinion up.

Look at the Supreme Court’s Ruling, or rather, lack of one,  on “gay marriage”, yesterday, yesterday.

When you ask Liberals if , for example, “homosexual marriage” is the “will of the people”, why did voters in the overwhelming majority of states, including California, vote against it? And, if there is “no fascism”, what do you call the fact that 2% of the population is having activist judges overturn the actual will of the people in order to get their way, in their attempt to redefine a word that has meant the same thing since time immemorial?

In response, you will usually see their eyes glaze over, like a deer in the headlights, or experience a dramatic pause in posting, if you are on the Internet.

Liberals can not legitimately defend the suppression of the First Amendment Rights of Christian Americans.

Fascism, in any form, remains indefensible, even, when a spineless Supreme Court kicks the can down the road.

The Godfather of Conservative Talk Radio, Rush Limbaugh, once said the following,

You know as well as I do that people are scared to death to tell you what they really think. The left has politicized everything — everything — to the point that people are afraid to go against what they know to be political correctness, which is nothing more than liberal fascism, nothing more than censorship.

When Barack Hussein Obama assumed the position of President of the United States, the Far Left became empowered. Obama’s handlers saw the opportunity to “radically change” America into a Democratic Socialist Republic. You know, the kind of government that is currently failing over in Europe.

Every piece of legislation that Barack Hussein Obama has tried to get passed, has been designed to either overtly or covertly limit our freedom.

From the stimulus bill on through the latest changes to Obamacare by Executive Order, every single piece of legislation has been designed to further the Far Left’s agenda.

Remember when Obama was campaigning so hard to get the Affordable Health Care Act passed?

He always used people as props for his speeches, whether it was just normal people or people dressed in white coats like doctors.

When he was trying to get gun control passed, he used the parents from the Newtown Massacre in Connecticut as human props to try to get his repressive agenda passed.

The use of human props is an old propaganda trick, which was used by Joseph Goebbels to make his boss Adolf Hitler seem like a man of the people who really cared about the German citizenry.

The use of propaganda to further the aims of fascist governments is an old and effective method of camouflaging fascism, which Obama’s handlers realize all too well.

In addition to the use of human props during a speech, another strategy used in a propaganda campaign is to select an enemy and target them with the aid of a sympathetic press behind you.

During Hitler’s rise to power, the German Press demonized European Jews, betraying them as evil and money grubbing…painting them as being different from normal German citizens. It was this classification of the European Jews as the enemy that almost led to the extinction of them in that horrible attempted genocide, known as the Holocaust.

Now, in the early 21st century, the Far Left, the Democratic Party, and the Obama Administration (but, I repeat myself) are using propaganda to isolate and demonize average Americans, who through hard work, have risen to a high station in life or through their strong Christian faith and love of their country refuse to follow a popular culture- worshiping Administration, when it issues Executive Orders or has its Democratic Congress pass legislation which clearly contradicts the Word of God and the Judeo-Christian Belief System upon which America was built.

If America keeps on the path we seem to be headed on, we will find out why America is not mentioned in the Book of Revelation.

Claiming to be wise, they became fools. – Romans 1 : 22

Record Number of Americans Prepared to Vote “NO” on Obama in Mid-Terms

ObamaTransparentBranco852014Will your vote for a candidate be made in order to send a message that you SUPPORT [Barack Obama], be made in order to send a message that you OPPOSE [Barack Obama], or will you NOT be sending a message about [Barack Obama] with your vote?

Gallup.com recently asked that question of 1,095 registered voters in 50 states.

Gallup first asked this question in 1998, the year Republicans were moving toward impeaching President Bill Clinton for lying about his affair with a White House intern. That year, when Clinton’s approval rating was 63%, more voters said their choice of candidate in the fall election would be made to show support rather than opposition to Clinton. Democrats had a strong showing in that fall’s elections, gaining seats in the House of Representatives, bucking the historical pattern by which the president’s party loses seats in Congress in midterm elections.

In the next midterm election, voters by an even larger margin said their vote would be made to support rather than oppose President George W. Bush, who had a 66% approval rating at the time of the elections. These attitudes were consistent with the eventual outcome, as Republicans increased their majority in the House and gained majority control of the Senate.

The presidents in the next two midterm elections were not popular, including Bush’s second midterm election in 2006 (38%) when Democrats won control of the House and Senate and Obama’s first midterm in 2010 (44%) when Republicans won back control of the House. Reinforcing that the 2014 midterms look more like 2006 and 2010 than 1998 or 2002, Obama’s approval ratings have been in the low 40% range, including 42% in the most recent Gallup Daily tracking three-day rolling average.

As America’s Mid-Term Elections draw closer, the tone-deaf members of the Democratic Party are poised for the biggest political defeat in our nation’s history. They are saddled with an un-American President who is more intent on accomplishing the tenets of his Far Left, Marxist Ideology, than he is in dealing with the economic crisis and enemies, foreign and domestic, that besiege us. Their members are besotted by greed, power, and an overblown sense of self-entitlement, blindly following the wishes of their president and his Far Left base, instead of following the wishes of the majority of Americans.

However, some of them have begun to distance themselves from their fallen messiah.

The Boston Globe reports that

Alison Lundergan Grimes has campaigned with former president Bill Clinton and Senator Elizabeth Warren by her side. But the Democratic candidate for US Senate has not appeared with the leader of her own party, President Obama.

Instead, it almost seems as if Grimes is running against the president. She has run a recent television ad declaring “I’m not Barack Obama” as she shoots clay pigeons from the sky. Calling him out by name, she tells voters in her conservative state that “I disagree with him on guns, coal, and the EPA.”

Obama, whose celebrity once filled large arenas, has not appeared with a single House or Senate candidate at a campaign rally this year, according to a database maintained by CBS News.

Perhaps nowhere has the Obama-at-a-distance policy been on display as starkly as in Kentucky, where Grimes is trying to unseat the Senate minority leader, Mitch McConnell.

On Thursday night, McConnell seemed ebullient as he appeared at a news conference with former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney, the failed Republican 2012 candidate who has appeared with GOP candidates across the country, and tried to make the campaign a referendum on Obama.

“This race here in Kentucky and the races across the country are about Barack Obama’s agenda,” McConnell said at a Lexington horse farm.

Behind closed doors, Obama has been a key fund-raiser for his party, holding at least 10 private events for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee this year alone, as well as events for individual candidates and party committees, including a closed Illinois fund-raiser Thursday.

But on the campaign stage, Obama seems persona non grata. It is not unusual for candidates to try to distance themselves from an unpopular president or make him the issue. Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton attended just a handful of public campaign events at this stage in their presidencies, with Bush ramping things up in the final weeks of his sixth year in office.

But the lengths to which Democratic candidates are going this year to avoid association with Obama has become one of the most striking themes of the 2014 elections. Grimes’s ad may be the bluntest presidential rejection, but she is hardly alone.

Democrats in key House races from Texas to Florida, and in close Senate races in Louisiana, Alaska, Arkansas, and West Virginia, have taken aim at the president, his policies, or both in ads.

Representative Pete Gallego, a Texas Democrat, ran an ad criticizing the GOP for the shutdown in which he also bragged that “I told the president ‘no’ to special treatment for Congress when he tried to exempt them from Obamacare.”

Romney narrowly carried Gallego’s district, a large swath of West Texas in which voters have turned out the incumbent three of the past four elections.

“Obama’s very unpopular. I don’t need a poll to tell me that,” Gallego said in an interview, adding that voters are disgusted with leaders of both political parties, and carried similar ill will toward Bush at the end of his tenure.

The most recent national Gallup Poll found only 42 percent of respondents approve of Obama’s performance. But it’s far lower in many of the states where Democrats and Republicans are fighting the hardest for control of the Senate. In Kentucky, just 31 percent of voters approve of Obama’s job performance, according to a September NBC News/Marist poll.

Consider the topics Democrats have to try to defend their president about:

  • The “not-a-war with ISIS” including his unabashed comment that, “We are not at war with Islam.”
  • The economy, featuring the indefensible fact that over 92,600,000 Americans have dropped out of our workforce.
  • The out-of-control Department of Education, featuring Common Core, and plans to teach sex education to pre-schoolers.
  • The VA Hospital Scandal, in which our Brightest and Best were given worse treatment than indigent Americans.
  • Obama’s use of the judiciary to overthrow the States’ anti-Gay Marriage votes.
  • His over-the-top reliance on class warfare and race-baiting divisive rhetoric.
  • His support and subsequent camouflage of the Mexican Munchkin Migration.
  • His promise to sign an Executive Order for Amnesty for illegal immigrants living in our Sovereign Nation.
  • His insistence that Ebola will never reach our shores.
  • And, finally, Obamacare.

Average Americans, living out here in the Heartland have had enough of Obama’s political shenanigans.

We’re ready to deliver some payback.

And, payback is a, well, you know…
