Interior Secretary Says “Diversity Isn’t Important”, “I Care About Excellence”…Controversy Ensues

CNN.com reports that

Several employees at the Interior Department have told CNN that Secretary Ryan Zinke repeatedly says that he won’t focus on diversity, an apparent talking point that has upset many people within the agency.

Three high-ranking Interior officials from three different divisions said that Zinke has made several comments with a similar theme, saying “diversity isn’t important,” or “I don’t care about diversity,” or “I don’t really think that’s important anymore.”

Each time, Zinke followed with something along the lines of, “what’s important is having the right person for the right job,” or “I care about excellence, and I’m going to get the best people, and you’ll find we have the most diverse group anyone’s ever had,” the sources said.

Interior last year unexpectedly reassigned 33 senior executive staffers, of which 15 were minorities, according to the lawyer of one of the staffers who was moved. Some of those who were reassigned have filed complaints with the US Merit Systems Board.

The accusations against Zinke come as he is under investigation by multiple agencies, including Interior’s inspector general and Office of Special Counsel, regarding employee reassignment and taxpayer spending on possible politically related travel.

Interior Department spokeswoman Heather Swift vehemently denied that Zinke said anything along those lines of criticizing the need for diversity, saying, “the anonymous claims made against the secretary are untrue.”

Swift added, “As a woman who has worked for him for a number of years in senior positions, I say without a doubt this claim is untrue, and I am hopeful that they are a result of a misunderstanding and not a deliberate mistruth.”

Swift pointed to two women and an African-American who Zinke has appointed to senior leadership positions, and said “Zinke has filled several other senior positions at the career and appointed level with individuals from diverse backgrounds.”

The government mandated action of giving preference to job applicants based on their ethnicity, known as “Affirmative Action”, sprang out of the 1960’s Civil Rights Movement.

It was intended to provide equal opportunities for members of minority groups and women in education and employment.

In 1961, President John Fitzgerald Kennedy was the first to use the term “affirmative action” in an Executive Order which forced government contractors to take “affirmative action to ensure that applicants are employed, and that employees are treated during employment, without regard to their race, creed, color, or national origin.” That Executive Order also established the President’s Committee on Equal Employment Opportunity, now known as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).

An institution or organization engages in Affirmative Action when it attempts to improve opportunities for historically excluded groups in American society by establishing a “quota system” to make up for perceived “past transgressions”.

These policies usually involve employment and education. In institutions of higher education, affirmative action involves admission policies that seek to provide equal access to education for those groups that have been historically excluded or underrepresented, such as women and minorities, at times, skipping over a more qualified candidate, in order to promote “Diversity”.

Needless to say, questions concerning the constitutionality of Affirmative Action has made the topic one of heated debate.

Affirmative action policies initially focused on improving opportunities for African Americans in employment and education.

In the past several years, several states have discontinued their Affirmative Action Policies because Affirmative Action has become outdated, and has caused a form of reverse discrimination by favoring one group over another, based on racial preference rather than academic or business achievement.

During the Presidency of Barack Hussein Obama, as Cabinet and Administration Positions were filled, it appeared that more emphasis was paid to ethnicity and the size of the candidate’s Democratic Party Donation, than their qualifications for those positions.

It was as if Obama and his advisors were making a point to show just how “diverse” his Administration was going to be, competency be d@mned.

Conversely, President Trump and his advisors are making sure that the best candidates possible are filling available positions within this Administration, including the Diplomatic Corps, with competency and the ability to excel in the performance of the job and not ethnicity or sexual orientation being the criteria for a candidate’s selection.

That being said, one of Trump’s selections for an Ambassador Position happens to be Gay…and Congress has not approved him, yet.

Democratic Intolerance? Say it isn’t so.

But, I digress…

This story caught my eye due to the fact that my hometown of Memphis, Tennessee is getting ready for next week’s remembrance of the 50th Anniversary of the murder of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

I wonder how Dr. King would feel, 50 years later, about candidates for positions within the Department of the Interior being judged not “by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character”?

Stormy Daniels Appears on 60 Minutes -Why Average Americans Didn’t Care

Adult film star Stormy Daniels claimed she agreed to keep quiet about her alleged affair with President Trump after she received a chilling threat in a parking lot and worried that her infant daughter would be harmed, according to a “60 Minutes” interview that aired Sunday.

Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, said she was threatened by a man who approached her in Las Vegas after she sold her story about her alleged 2006 sexual encounter with Trump during the American Celebrity Golf Tournament in Lake Tahoe.

“I was in a parking lot going to a fitness class with my infant daughter and a guy walked up on me and said to me, ‘Leave Trump alone. Forget the story,’” she said. “And he leaned round and looked at my daughter and said, ‘That’s a beautiful little girl. It would be a shame if something happened to her mom.’”

She added, “I was concerned for my family and their safety.”

Trump has strongly denied the claims.

Wow. “60 Minutes” has gone from being the “Smithsonian Magazine” of Television News Programs to being “Hustler Magazine”.

The Head Honchos at CBS knew what Ms. Daniels was when they agreed to allow Anderson Cooper to interview her. The only thing that they had to reach an agreement with her about then was the price.

But, she’s used to that.

But, I digress…

Anderson Cooper got the job of interviewing her.

Well, he’s used to vulgar women. He co-hosted CNN New Years Eve Program with Kathy Griffin for years.

Again, I digress…

So, here we are, 12 years after the supposed affair between Private Citizen Donald J. Trump and Porn Actress Stormy Daniels.

12 years.

Now, she shows back up, wanting to give back the $130,000 dollars that Trump’s lawyer gave her to go away and leave his client alone, so that she can make millions from interviews such as last night’s and from money given to her under the table by powerful political enemies of the man who is now the 45th President of the United States of America.

These clandestine puppet masters are running into two evidently unforeseen difficulties with their plan to use a Porn Actress to destroy the President of the United States of America.

The Believability of Stormy Daniels

Did the Progressives behind this plan actually think that Americans would believe a gold-digging blonde who has literally spent decades making her living on her back?

Monica Lewinski was more innocent that Stormy Daniels.

Why come forward now? Couldn’t Daniels pay Gloria Allred enough money to let her in on the manufactured Bimbo Eruption during the 2016 Presidential Campaign which failed so miserably?

What’s funny to me is watching the Liberal News Reporters, Celebrities, and Internet and Facebook Trolls defend her.

The Liberal “Broadcast Journalists” are trying desperately to portray a porn star as being as virtuous as Mother Teresa, while Internet and Facebook Trolls are attacking Christian Conservatives for not doing the “moral” thing and believing her.

When I first read the morality charge from a Facebook Troll, I spit Diet Coke all over my computer monitor.

Modern American Liberals only reference God when it is convenient.

Remember, these are the same people who booed Him three times during a Democratic Convention because they did not want Him mentioned in their Political Party Platform.

Average Americans Don’t Care About Stormy Daniels

Average Americans between the East Coast and the Left Coast spent 8 long years under the Presidency of Barack Hussein Obama living paycheck-to-paycheck.

After 15 months under President Trump, they are now beginning to see a light at the end of the tunnel, as Trump’s Domestic Policies, including a tax cut, are beginning to make things better.

Average Americans are trying to feed and raise their children, keep a roof over their heads, pay their bills, and lead their lives in peace and happiness.

In the eyes of the average Americans who elected him, something that may or may not have happened in President Trump’s life 12 years ago has no bearing as to his effectiveness as our current President.

The claims of a Gold-Digging Porn Actress is the least of their worries.

As far as the “morality” of what may or may not have happened is concerned, please allow me to quote something for all those “concerned” Liberals out there who are attempting to preach to Christian Conservatives about OUR lack of morality…

David Hogg, Phil Robertson, America, and Me

As I chronicled yesterday, The March For Life was held in 853 cities in American and around the world, for the purpose of protesting “Gun Violence” and to lecture Americans about how wonderful taking away some of our Second Amendment Freedoms through Gun Control would be.

The Liberal Poster Boy for the event was, of course, David Hogg, a young man whose claim to fame is being a survivor of the Parkland High School Valentine’s Day Massacre.

To show you how much of a teen idol this guy is, here is an excerpt of a story about his speech at the event in Washington, DC, courtesy of Teen Vogue…

The cold grasp of corruption shackles the District of Columbia,” David said. “The winter is over. Change is here. The sun shines on a new day, and the day is ours.” He asked the crowd who would be voting in the 2018 midterms, and responded to their cheers, “If you listen real close, you can hear the people in power shaking. They’ve gotten used to being protective of their positions, choosing the safety of inaction. Inaction is no longer safe. And to that we say, ‘No more!'””We are going to make this the voting issue,” David continued.

“We’re going to take this to every election, to every state and every city. We’re going to make sure the best people get in our elections to run, not as politicians, but as Americans. Because this,” David said, pointing at the U.S. Capitol behind him, “this is not cutting it. When people try to suppress your vote, and there are people who stand against you because you’re too young, we say, ‘No more!'”

…”Now, they will try to separate us in demographics, they will try to separate us by religion, race, congressional district, and class,” he warned the crowd. “They will fail. We will come together. We will get rid of these public servants that only serve the gun lobby. And we will save lives. You are those heroes.”

David closed his speech issuing a rallying cry to drive people to the polls in 2018: “This is the start of the spring and the blossoming of our democracy, so let’s take this to our local legislators and let’s take this to midterm elections because without the persistent heat, without the persistence of voters and Americans everywhere getting out to elections, democracy will not flourish, but it can and it will.”

“To those politicians who say change will not come, I say we will not stop until every man, every woman, every child, and every American can live without fear of gun violence,” David said as he ended his speech. “To that I say, ‘No more!'”

As I wrote yesterday, those marches being ballyhooed by the Main Stream Media were all organized and funded by the usual suspects: Soros-funded non-profit organizations whose sole purpose in life is to restrict our freedoms through the old fascist mantra of claiming that limiting individual freedom is “for the sake of the children”. when in reality, it is for the sake of a “New Fascism”.

When our Founding Fathers sat down to provide form and substance to the laws and procedures for governing this new country, which they had fought and won a bloody war over, by pledging their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor, they were very aware of the price of tyranny.

They determined that this new nation would be a Constitutional Republic, having had their fill of monarchies.

In order to ensure that no leader of this new nation would go mad with power, and become a tyrannical despot, our Founders set up a System of Checks and Balances, overseen by Three Branches of Government: the Legislative, the Executive, and the Judicial, with each branch having a distinct and LIMITED  role.

The situation, which we as a nation, find ourselves in today, is one which our Founding Fathers sought valiantly to avoid.

Thanks to 8 years of the Imperious Obama Presidency, we are still suffering under a “Tyranny of the Minority”.

This minority is not based on color, rather, it is one based on political ideology and self-interest.

As the past several years have shown, this minority, buoyed by money from this “sponsors”, including the Halls of Power in Washington, DC, will shut down anyone who threatens “what they’ve got” by ANY MEANS NECESSARY, including political devices and beliefs, which we, as a country, have gone to war against in the past.

A few years back, the Patriarch of the Mega-hit Television Program, “Duck Dynasty”, Phil Robertson, sat down with Fox News’ Sean Hannity, and, as per usual, Brother Phil told it like it was…

…HANNITY: So we got to win those political battles, too. I think they’re just as important.

ROBERTSON: Yes. I just feel a little more comfortable dealing in the spiritual realm, even with the persecution of whatever comes with it, I’m just — I have a task to do and I go forth across America. I’ve been doing this, most people don’t realize, I’ve been doing this for 35 years.

HANNITY: Yeah.

ROBERTSON: I’ve been all over the United States backwards and forwards, and my message is always the same, god loves you, sent Jesus to die for you.

HANNITY: When the controversy arose were you surprised?

ROBERTSON: Surprised, not at all. Blessed are you when men hate you, when they exclude you, when they insult you and reject your name as evil, Jesus said, because of the son of man. Leap for joy because great is your reward in heaven. It goes with the territory, spiritual warfare. There is a Satan out there, an evil one, and if anyone that looks at our culture doesn’t believe it, I would simply say, what, are you blind? It’s pretty rough out there.

HANNITY: I wrote a whole book “Deliver Us from Evil.”

ROBERTSON: Yep.

HANNITY: How do you explain Pol Pot and the killing fields, Adolf Hitler, Nazi Germany, fascism, communism, imperial.

ROBERTSON: Evil.

HANNITY: And then how do you explain murder, and pedophilia, and rape – – evil.

ROBERTSON: Yes, yes.

HANNITY: See, when you use these spiritual terms some people get, you can’t say that.

ROBERTSON: We took the 10 commandments now and removing them from the courthouse and we’re getting them out of our psyche. We took God out of our schools. Well, if you started with young people and you taught them, you rebuke them, you corrected them, you trained them, you instructed them to obey their father and mother, honor their father and mother, don’t murder, don’t lie, don’t steal from a young age, is anyone trying to tell me that we wouldn’t have a better society? I mean, it’s nuts.

What causes somebody to “wig out”, or to have what psychiatrists call “a break with reality”? Is it caused by some genetic abnormality? Is it caused by socialization? Or, it Brother Phil right? Does the Devil make them do it?

In my present job, I get to talk to people from all walks of life. I am usually a pretty good judge of character. However, you never know…

The event which started the National Walkout Day and the March For Our Lives, the Parkland High School Massacre, was perpetrated by one lone psychopath, whom, according to local authorities was judged to have needed to have been locked up in the looney bin 2 years previous to that fateful Valentines Day 2018.

So ,now, because of the actions of that one lone psychopath, Liberal Activists are using our children and grandchildren as unwitting dupes, having them tell the world how wonderful it would be if Americans had their Second Amendment Rights restricted.

 

Brother Phil was right about how widespread evil is in our society.

A Few years ago,, while I was pursuing one of my favorite activities, perusing Facebook to see what was going on, I was on one of my favorite political pages, of which I happen to be a moderator, when I noticed that an anonymous poster had posted an anti- American Armed Forces message just to get some attention. In fact, this guy was so far around the bend, that he posted that our military deserved to die because of the interventionism and nation-building foreign policy of the United States. When he became cornered and was asked to account factually for his comments on Facebook, this loon even suggested that the Japanese attacked the US Military at Pearl Harbor, because of things they had already done and they bore no ill will toward the American people.  When I asked him whose sons and daughters did he think that the US military consisted of, he went strangely silent.

Of course, this guy wound up getting banned from that Facebook Page. Then he came back under a phony profile, and got banned again.

We later found out that this troubled soul had been banned from several Facebook Pages for posting under phony names, posting incessantly, and threatening female posters.

By now. you’re probably asking, “So what do these two examples have to do with each other and with David Hogg and the March For Our Lives or what Phil Robertson said to Sean Hannity?”

First off, restricting all Americans Second Amendment Rights is not going to stop the fruitcakes and the criminals for getting guns

There is a reason that we don’t all go out killing another and there is also a reason why we’re not all fruitcakes who go around looking for attention, threatening people on Facebook.

Now you can call it genetics, you can call it socialization, you can call it the proper alignment of the moon and stars…I choose to call it the Grace of God.

There is a comforting old saying which states

There but for the Grace of God go I.

Our American Pop Culture, being incessantly marketed by Liberals, espouses and embraces a reflection of not simply an immoral society, but, an amoral one, whose concept of right and wrong is “Whatever Gets You Through the Night (It’s Alright. It’s Alright.)”, and whose ultimate authority is not the God of Abraham, but a Godless Central Government, whose credo is

From each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs. (Karl Marx)

Just as Marxism has failed wherever it has been tried before, so will it fail here.

Just as amorality and licentiousness led to the destruction of the Roman Empire, so, if unchecked, will it lead to America’s.

The galling thing is the fact that, even though American Christians remain 76% of the population, we are propagandized and suppressed in both the Old and New Media, to make it seem as if WE are the Minority, when, in fact, WE are the overwhelming Majority.

It is this New Generation of Amoral Socialists, who are in fact, just a tiny, albeit vocal, Minority of America’s population.

So, what can an average Christian American, like you and me, do about this “Tyranny of the Minority”?

As the Apostle Paul tells us in Ephesians, we can STAND.

However, you cannot stand without “the full armor of God”. I have found, as have my family and friends, that the better that you are doing, in terms of your Christian Walk, the harder that you will be attacked.

10Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. 11Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.…- Ephesians 6:10-12

The more we stand up for the Triune God, the harder the Enemy attacks…in all areas of our lives…including our political beliefs.

They expect Christian Americans to be “sacrificial lambs”, to meekly allow our Constitutional Rights to be stripped from us, remaining unseen and unheard from, and worshiping in private.

Well,  y’all can wish for a unicorn to magically appear in your backyard…but that ain’t gonna happen, either.

Our Lord and Savior stood up and got angry for Righteousness’ Sake. Do you seriously expect Christian Americans to do no less?

We are given free will by our Creator will to make choices and decisions on the direction of our lives. Being human, we often don’t make the right decisions and being human, those decisions have the potential to lead us down a dark path.

Whether is in reality or strictly in the close quarters of our own consciousness, the path we choose to follow is up to us. However, our parents, family, and friends can make a difference in our journey and I thank God that through His Grace that I was given a Father who made sure that I received loving instruction in The Way in which I should go.

Average Americans still believe that we live in the greatest country on the face of the earth, as was demonstrated on November 8, 2016.

We do not cower or willingly give up our Constitutional Rights so that we might “be taken care of” by a “benevolent” government.

It was that sort of “benevolence” that caused our ancestors to leave their homes and coming to “The Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave”.

As Founding Father Dr. Benjamin Franklin so famously said,

They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

That being said, we still have a responsibility to one another.

We can stand for what is right or for what is easy.

The Light or the Darkness. The choice is up to each and every one of us.

What You REALLY Need to Know about Today’s “March For Our Lives”

Today is the day that marches are scheduled to be held in our nation’s capital and 852 other cities across America and the world, in protest of “gun violence” and to advocate Gun Control.

The Main Stream Media is describing this worldwide event as being “organized by the students of Parkland High School” as a response to the Valentine’s Day Massacre committed by a troubled young man whom it turns out was known to have needed to have been placed in a psychiatric care facility two years before.

According to the organization’s website, marchforourlives.com,

March For Our Lives is created by, inspired by, and led by students across the country who will no longer risk their lives waiting for someone else to take action to stop the epidemic of mass school shootings that has become all too familiar. In the tragic wake of the seventeen lives brutally cut short in Florida, politicians are telling us that now is not the time to talk about guns. March For Our Lives believes the time is now.

On March 24, the kids and families of March For Our Lives will take to the streets of Washington, DC to demand that their lives and safety become a priority. The collective voices of the March For Our Lives movement will be heard.

School safety is not a political issue. There cannot be two sides to doing everything in our power to ensure the lives and futures of children who are at risk of dying when they should be learning, playing, and growing. The mission and focus of March For Our Lives is to demand that a comprehensive and effective bill be immediately brought before Congress to address these gun issues. No special interest group, no political agenda is more critical than timely passage of legislation to effectively address the gun violence issues that are rampant in our country.

Sounds pretty noble, huh?

It would be.

Everytown has been around for several years. They are very well-connected within the Liberal Hierarchy, running in the same circles as Clooney, Oprah, and other Liberal Elitists.

This organization began as “Mayors From Gun Safety”. It was founded and is funded by Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who is a multi-millionaire.

Women’s March Movement

I’m sure you remember Radical Islamist Linda Sarsour, one of the main organizers of the Women’s March Movement.

Guess who funds her and the organization’s Empower Youth project, which the National School Walkouts and this march fall under?

Last Year, Feminist Writer Asri Q. Normani of The New York Times reported concerning the funding for the “Women’s March on Washington” that

…[George] Soros has funded, or has close relationships with, at least 56 of the [Women’s] march’s “partners,” including “key partners” Planned Parenthood, which opposes Trump’s anti-abortion policy, and the National Resource Defense Council, which opposes Trump’s environmental policies. The other Soros ties with “Women’s March” organizations include the partisan MoveOn.org (which was fiercely pro-Clinton), the National Action Network (which has a former executive director lauded by Obama senior advisor Valerie Jarrett as “a leader of tomorrow” as a march co-chair and another official as “the head of logistics”). Other Soros grantees who are “partners” in the march are the American Civil Liberties Union, Center for Constitutional Rights, Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch.

By the way, yes, Planned Parenthood IS funding these events which are supposedly being held for the purpose of preserving life.

Irony is embarrassed.

And last, but certainly not least, the very people who are in charge of our children and grandchildren during the hours in which they are supposed to be learning Readin’, Writin’, and ‘Rithmatic, not Radicalization.

American Federation of Teachers

According to Buzzfeed News, as reported in an article posted on 2/27/18,

The American Federation of Teachers, which helped bus students and parents to Tallahassee multiple times last week, are now assisting with the March for Our Lives rally. The federation’s president told BuzzFeed News that they are also helping support next month’s march as well as helping to shape the vision and mission for the group once the rally is over.

“There are a lot of people who know how to put on a march in Washington and we are here to help support the teens with that experience in terms of logistics and strategy but it’s still early and they have some time to figure that out,” AFT President Randi Weingarten told BuzzFeed News. “We will be here for that ‘oh shit moment’ when they realize they need things like permits.”

Just as with “spontaneous grassroots” Liberal Movements such as Occupy Wall Street and the Women’s March, what appears to be a graceful swan floating effortlessly across a glassy pond on the surface, is actually ugly feet paddling furiously underneath.

The Professional Protesters of these “nonprofit” organizations are the ugly feet to the beautiful swan known as the March For Our Lives.

I’m calling them “ugly” because, gentle readers, there is nothing beautiful about using children to further a political cause.

It’s nothing new, I know.

Heck,there is a picture going around Facebook of murderous maniac Adolf Hitler posing with schoolchildren as props when he was taking away the guns of Germany’s citizenry.

Using children as the face of a movement, as these politically-motivated nonprofits are doing, is fascism disguised as innocence.

Who’s going to say “no” to those innocent faces?

Every time Liberals want to take away one of our freedoms while making American Taxpayers pay out the wazoo while they are doing it, Liberals insist that “it’s for the children”.

Today’s march and the school walkouts are staged events, being held by Liberals using children as props in order to make Gun Control more palatable to the majority of Americans who remain opposed to it.

God comfort the families and friends of those savagely butchered at Parkland High School on that fateful Valentine’s Day.

However, if there had been a good guy there with a gun, as there was in the recent Maryland High School Shooting, which left 2 students injured and one dead psychopath, thanks to a brave armed School Resource Officer, today would be just another Saturday.

And, there would not have been a mass murder for Liberal Political Activists to take advantage of.

Trump Appoints Bolton as National Security Advisor, Dems Whine

President Trump announced Thursday that former United Nations Amb. John Bolton will replace Gen. H.R. McMaster as his National Security Adviser effective April 9 — the latest in a growing list of White House staff shakeups over the past year.

“I am pleased to announce that, effective 4/9/18, @AmbJohnBolton will be my new National Security Advisor. I am very thankful for the service of General H.R. McMaster who has done an outstanding job & will always remain my friend. There will be an official contact handover on 4/9,” Trump tweeted.

The president’s announcement came after months of speculation over whether McMaster would resign or be fired from his post.

Bolton told Fox News’ “The Story” Thursday evening, “I didn’t really expect that announcement this afternoon, but it’s obviously a great honor. It’s always an honor to serve our country and I think particularly in these times internationally, it’s a particular honor.”

But on Thursday evening, a White House official said that the president and McMaster “mutually agreed” that he would resign from his post. The two have been discussing this for some time, the official said, noting that the timeline was expedited as they both felt it was important to have a new team in place, instead of constant speculation.

A White House official said the decision was not related to any one moment or incident, but rather the result of ongoing conversations between the two.

The official told Fox News that the move has been contemplated for some time, and was just about the “worst-kept secret” in Washington.

The president took his time to find a replacement for McMaster because he wanted the “right person.”

While Trump spoke to Bolton many times about the job, the deal was cemented in an Oval Office meeting between the two Thursday afternoon.

Bolton told Fox News’ Martha MacCallum that the process of his hiring “came to a conclusion this afternoon, but … there’s still a transition. I look forward to working with H.R. and his team and the other senior members of the president’s team on national security and I have no doubt there’s a lot of work to do.”

Bolton has previously served as a Fox News contributor, as well as in the in the Republican administrations of Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush, and served as a Bush lawyer during the 2000 Florida recount.

A strong supporter of the Iraq war and an advocate for aggressive use of American power in foreign policy, Bolton was unable to win Senate confirmation after his nomination to the U.N. post alienated many Democrats and even some Republicans. He resigned after serving 17 months as a Bush “recess appointment,” which allowed him to hold the job on a temporary basis without Senate confirmation. The position of White House national security adviser does not require Senate confirmation.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., criticized Bolton’s appointment.

“Mr. Bolton’s tendency to try to solve every geopolitical problem with the American military first is a troubling one,” Schumer said. “I hope he will temper his instinct to commit the men and women of our armed forces to conflicts around the globe, when we need to be focused on building the middle class here at home.”

Because Obama, Clinton’s, and Kerry’s Neville Chamberlain Style of Foreign Policy worked so well.

Over the next several days, the Dems will be all over the Main Stream Media, having a temper tantrum over the President’s choice of John Bolton for his next National Security Advisor.

The National Security Advisor manages the daily creation and implementation of foreign policy and acts as a foreign policy advisor. Bolton will serve in an advisory role to the secretary of state and the secretary of defense, as well as the president.

That being the case, in order to put the upcoming Democrat temper tantrum over Bolton’s appointment in perspective, I believe that is important to remember the disaster that was America’s Foreign Policy under Barack Hussein Obama.

Before Barack Hussein Obama (mm mmm mmmm) ascended to the throne of The Regime, he did something no other candidate for American President has ever done.  He campaigned in Europe, where he was treated like a rock star, by both the Europeans and the sycophantic Main Stream Media.  This set the stage for Obama’s Foreign Policy efforts as President.

There were so many issues that weakened America on the world stage as Obama pursued his Foreign Policy, it’s hard to know where to begin.  Come along as I try to relate a few high (low?) points.

1.  The World Apology Tour – Shortly after he took office, President Obama set off for the first of a two-part “World Apology Tour”.   After less than 100 days, he had apologized on three continents for what he viewed as the sins of America and previous presidents.

Per Karl Rove:

Mr. Obama told the French (the French!) that America “has shown arrogance and been dismissive, even derisive” toward Europe.  In Prague, he said America has “a moral responsibility to act” on arms control because only the U.S. had “used a nuclear weapon.” In London, he said that decisions about the world financial system were no longer made by “just Roosevelt and Churchill sitting in a room with a brandy” — as if that were a bad thing. And in Latin America, he said the U.S. had not “pursued and sustained engagement with our neighbors” because we “failed to see that our own progress is tied directly to progress throughout the Americas.”

By apologizing to the world, then-White House Press Secretary Robert “Baghdad Bob” Gibbs said that Scooter had “changed the image of America around the world” and made the U.S. “safer and stronger.”

Having the British call him “President Pantywaist” made us “safer and stronger”?

2.  Global War on Terror –  In a memo e-mailed the week of March 25th, 2009, in the middle of the World Apology Tour, to Pentagon staff members, the Defense Department’s office of security review proclaimed that “this administration prefers to avoid using the term ‘Long War’ or ‘Global War on Terror’ [GWOT.] Please use ‘Overseas Contingency Operation.’ ”  And so it began.

On Thursday, June 4th, 2009 at the University of Cairo, Obama addressed the Muslim World.  Here is an excerpt from the 6:35 a.m. speech:

Islam has a proud tradition of tolerance. We see it in the history of Andalusia and Cordoba during the Inquisition. I saw it firsthand as a child in Indonesia, where devout Christians worshiped freely in an overwhelmingly Muslim country. That is the spirit we need today. People in every country should be free to choose and live their faith-based lives upon the persuasion of the mind, heart, and soul. This tolerance is essential for religion to thrive, but it is being challenged in many different ways.

Among some Muslims, there is a disturbing tendency to measure one’s own faith by the rejection of another’s. The richness of religious diversity must be upheld – whether it is for Maronites in Lebanon or the Copts in Egypt. And fault lines must be closed among Muslims as well, as the divisions between Sunni and Shia have led to tragic violence, particularly in Iraq.

Freedom of religion is central to the ability of peoples to live together. We must always examine the ways in which we protect it. For instance, in the United States, rules on charitable giving have made it harder for Muslims to fulfill their religious obligation. That is why I am committed to working with American Muslims to ensure that they can fulfill zakat.

Likewise, it is important for Western countries to avoid impeding Muslim citizens from practicing religion as they see fit – for instance, by dictating what clothes a Muslim woman should wear. We cannot disguise hostility towards any religion behind the pretence of liberalism.

Scooter believed that by reaching out to the Muslim world through changing and softening our terminology as it pertained to the Jihad declared against the United States by Muslim Extremists, his administration would make huge inroads in America’s relationship with the Islamic World.  It actually accomplished nothing but to encourage our enemies, as evidenced by the increased number of attacks by Muslim Extremists here in our country during his time as President.

3.  Smart Power! – At her confirmation hearing before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Secretary of State nominee Hillary Clinton said:

We must use what has been called smart power, the full range of tools at our disposal—diplomatic, economic, military, political, legal, and cultural—picking the right tool, or combination of tools, for each situation. With smart power, diplomacy will be the vanguard of our foreign policy. This is not a radical idea. The ancient Roman poet Terence declared that “in every endeavor, the seemly course for wise men is to try persuasion first.” The same truth binds wise women as well.

Excessive humility has never been one of Hil’s problems.

Of course, Smart Power led to Arab Spring, which replaced Moderate Muslim Dictators, with Radical Muslim Dictators, backed by the Muslim Brotherhood. Great plan, y’all.

4.  Afghanistan – When Obama took office, he announced that Afghanistan was the true center of extremist activities.  He then told us that the Overseas Contingency Operation would be making a hard pivot from the main focus being on Iran to the main focus being on Afghanistan.  From there, he decided that the mountainous country of Pakistan (pronounced by the president, Pock-ee-stahn) was where all the truly evil Extremists were hiding.  He had two problems with this strategy:  the mountainous geography and unfriendly government of  Pock-ee-stahn.  Obama was advised by his military advisors that the best strategy was to use unmanned drones to attack Taliban (pronounced Tawl-ee-bohn by Obama) strongholds.  While the drones were very successful in killing members of the Tawl-ee-bohn, they have occasionally killed civilians as well.   That did not endeared us to that country’s government. Obama subsequently pulled out the majority of troops in Afghanistan, only recently to have had to send troops back in again.

While no President can control the actions of other countries come in their own affairs, the position of President of the United States has not historically been referred to as the Leader of the Free World for no reason.

That position has historically been the Vanguard in the fight against despotism and tyranny.

Unfortunately, for lovers of freedom the world over, instead of being the leader that the world and America itself needed, Barack Hussein Obama instead was an example of the Peter Principle.

He rose to his level of incompetence.

As I mentioned earlier, Obama believed in a “Chamberlain-esque” Foreign Policy of appeasement, consisting of vague warnings, pay-offs, and drawing red lines in the sand.

It didn’t work.

President Donald J. Trump has shown over the past 15 months that he believes in and is a practitioner of President Ronald Reagan’s Foreign Policy of “Peace Through Strength.”

New National Security Advisor John Bolton shares that philosophy as well.

And, that upsets the Democrat Elite to no end.

Knowing that, I feel safer already.

California Cities are Voting to Defy “Sanctuary State” Laws

More California cities may consider defying the state’s “sanctuary state” laws, after the city council of Los Alamitos passed an ordinance defying the state’s controversial new legislation preventing cooperation with federal immigration authorities.

Leaders of Los Alamitos, in Orange County, passed the ordinance 4-1 and instructed the city attorney to file an amicus brief in the ongoing Department of Justice lawsuit against the State of California. The lawsuit challenges the Immigrant Worker Protection Act (HB 450), the Inspection and Review of Facilities Housing Federal Detainees law (AB 103); and the California Values Act (SB 54).

The Orange County Register reports that other cities — and even Orange County itself — are now thinking of following suit (original links):

The County of Orange and several cities in Southern California soon might join Los Alamitos in its bid to opt out of a controversial state law that limits cooperation with federal immigration officials.

Officials with the county as well as leaders in Aliso Viejo and Buena Park said Tuesday they plan to push for various versions of the anti-sanctuary ordinance approved in Los Alamitos late Monday by a 4-1 vote of that city council.

Immigration advocates said Los Alamitos and cities and counties that follow its opt-out ordinance will be violating state law and at risk of litigation.

But Los Alamitos’ anti-sanctuary push also received wide attention in conservative media, and gained support from those who don’t agree with California’s protective stance on all immigrants, regardless of legal status.

Orange County is a key battleground in 2018, both at the state and federal levels. Democrats are hoping to pick up several U.S. House seats in the county, which voted for Hillary Clinton in 2016 — the first time in decades that the traditionally conservative county had backed a Democrat.

California has the largest immigrant population in the United States, and a recent study from the University of California’s Center for the Study of Immigrant Integration estimates that about 7 percent of California residents – more than 2.6 million people – are in the country illegally.

Illegals in California are already treated like American Citizens.

California has its first “unprotected” illegal alien in state office, after Senate President pro Tem Kevin de León (D-Los Angeles) appointed Lizbeth Mateo to the California Student Opportunity and Access Program Project Grant Advisory Committee.

Mateo, an attorney, was born in Mexico and came to the U.S. illegally at the age of 14 with her parents, who are also illegal aliens, according to the Sacramento Bee.

But wait, there’s more.

Beginning April 1st, California will send information about drivers to state voter rolls, automatically registering them to vote. unless the license holder opts out, or is not eligible.

Per Catherine Engelbrecht, founder of True the Vote, a national organization that tried to get Far Left Gov. Jerry Brown to veto the law allowing automatic registration.

“You’re setting the state up for a disaster. They don’t seem to have a process in place to verify that people are who they say they are. It’s a free-for-all, a process that can be manipulated,”

I can see why local municipalities are beginning to stage a revolt.

Wouldn’t you?

Liberals, on both sides of the Political Aisle, have continuously masked their true intentions for the political usefulness, in their incessant push to grant blanket amnesty to Illegal Aliens, by swathing it in the noble rhetoric of “Civil Rights” and “Social Justice”.

What makes the current influx of illegal immigrants exempt from the rules and regulations that every other generation of immigrants to this country had to abide by in order to become legal citizens of the greatest nation in the world? By being here illegally, they are not entitled to the same rights as natural-born or naturalized American citizens.

And, yet, even as I write this, they are in our hospitals, taking advantage of our charity and the finest health care system in the world, and driving our streets, with either forged drivers licenses or those obtained from states who have acquiesced and given them to these “undocumented workers”.

This is in no way a human rights issue.

Freedom is God-given, and with freedom comes responsibility. With citizenship comes responsibility, like paying taxes and making your own way.

The good citizens of Los Alamitos, have chosen like those in other California municipalities to stand up to Governor Moonbeam and the rest of the Far Left imbeciles who are ruining California.(yes, I meant ruining and not running)

These Californians are tired of seeing their rights as American Citizens being given to those who have entered our Sovereign Country illegally, taking advantage of our benevolence, while committing additional and sometimes violent crimes against American citizens.

Americans are more concerned with providing for themselves and their families than they are with the silly “Social Justice Warrior” Political Games which the Democratic Party in California, led by Governor Moonbeam, is playing.

Since the birth of our nation, immigrants from all over the world, have made long and treacherous journeys to this “Shining City Upon a Hill, where they came to become AMERICANS, swearing an Oath of Allegiance to OUR COUNTRY, an oath taken “without hesitation or purpose of evasion”.

They came here in compliance with our nation’s laws.

These Illegal Aliens, including the overwhelming influx of tens of thousands of unaccompanied minors, which were dropped off at our border by the Drug Cartels, during the Obama Administration and secreted away to be dispersed throughout the country, are not the same, no matter what Modern American Liberals claim.

By refusing to enter our country by the legal and proper way in which millions of legal immigrants did before them, they show a disdain and disregard of our nations laws, as does the Main Stream Media who refuse to identify them properly as ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS, as well as the preening politicians who are so eager to forgive them of their crime.

THESE LAWBREAKERS ARE NOT AMERICANS. …NOT UNTIL THEY ENTER OUR SOVEREIGN NATION IN THE RIGHT WAY, AND SWEAR THEIR ALLEGIANCE AND LOYALTY TO IT.

BEING AN AMERICAN IS NOT A RIGHT. IT IS A PRIVILEGE.

And no hysterical Pajamaboys or hairy under-armed Liberal women, trying to stifle free speech by shouting down Conservatives at municipal government meetings in California or any state which has created “Sanctuary Cities” in defiance of our laws are going to change that fact.

In reality, is the fact that these Professional Politicians could care less about the well-being of illegal aliens. They are simply recruiting new Democrat Voters.

President-elect Trump’s stance on illegal immigration is one of the campaign promises that got him elected.

American’s begrudge no man or woman the opportunity to legally enter our country and contribute to our economy.

It is those who wish to break into our Sovereign Nation and live of off average Americans’ tax-derived “charity” that we have a problem with.

American Federation of Teachers a Sponsor of Walkouts, “March For Our Lives” in 823 Cities This Saturday

The gun control movement notched a public relations coup with last week’s massive school walkouts, but now school districts that pitched in to ensure the protest’s success are stuck with the rising political and legal fallout.

A week after the March 14 walkout, school officials are grappling with complaints from parents outraged by the specter of their kids engaged in political protesting on school time, as well as reports of criminal mischief committed by teens who treated the event as a get-out-of-class-free card.

What’s more, the students get to do it all again next month. A substantially identical event, also called the National School Walkout, is scheduled for April 20, the 19th anniversary of the Columbine High School massacre.

Chris Cleveland, chairman of the Chicago Republican Party, said he worried that the walkouts, aimed at pushing for tougher gun restrictions in the wake of the deadly Parkland shooting, have provided the template for advocacy groups eager to co-opt the public schools for progressive activism.

“If they get away with this, they’ll be free to engage in any kind of political activity in the schools that they wish,” said Mr. Cleveland, who has a third-grader in the Chicago Public Schools.

The party is moving to avert that scenario by preparing a lawsuit against the school system, arguing that the district violated state and federal law as well as its own policies by organizing a political demonstration — and pressuring students to attend — on the taxpayers’ dime.

In between now and the next National Walkout Day, scheduled for Aril 20th, is an event scheduled to occur in several American Cities this Saturday, March 24th, titled “March For Our Lives”.

The federation’s president told BuzzFeed News that they are also helping support next month’s march as well as helping to shape the vision and mission for the group once the rally is over.

“There are a lot of people who know how to put on a march in Washington and we are here to help support the teens with that experience in terms of logistics and strategy but it’s still early and they have some time to figure that out,” AFT President Randi Weingarten told BuzzFeed News. “We will be here for that ‘oh shit moment’ when they realize they need things like permits.”

The New Bolsheviks of the Progressive Movement have been trying to get their greasy mitts on America’s children for quite some time now.

Throughout the 8 years of the Obama Presidency, the propagandizing of America’s children really took off into high gear, as the NEA and the AFT made it their mission to mold young minds full of mush (as Rush Limbaugh would say) into good little automatons who could regurgitate popular Liberal Talking Points on demand.

In a lot of cases, thank God, children would come home and discuss what they had learned with their parents, who would quickly set them straight.

However, not every child was blessed with loving parents, such as the ones mentioned in the first article above, who are fighting those school boards who are allowing the recruitment of our children and grandchildren as human props in these walkouts and marches.

Please, folks, pay attention to what your children bring home from school.

Holder Tells Sessions to Say “No” to Trump…The Real Reason Why He’s Back

Guess who has turned up again, like a reoccurring case of toenail fungus?

FoxNews.com reports that

Former Attorney General Eric Holder criticized Jeff Sessions Monday night for his role in the firing of former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe — saying that Sessions must “have the guts to look at the president every now and again and say ‘no.'”

Sessions fired McCabe on Friday, two days before McCabe’s scheduled retirement date. McCabe, a regular target of President Trump’s ire, has suggested that his departure was part of what he described as the administration’s “war on the FBI.”

Speaking at Georgetown University, Holder accused Sessions of rushing to fire McCabe at Trump’s behest.

Trump had repeatedly condemned McCabe over the last year as emblematic of an FBI leadership he contends is biased against his administration. On Saturday, hours after McCabe was dismissed, Trump tweeted that it was a “great day for Democracy” and a “great day for the hard-working men and women of the FBI.”

Holder said Trump’s verbal assaults on McCabe were “unconscionable” and “punching down.”

“You’re the president of the United States and you’re going after a career deputy FBI director … who doesn’t really have the capacity to defend himself, certainly while he was in that position,” he told Mo Elleithee, the executive director of Georgetown’s Institute of Politics & Public Service.

And?

Gentle readers, I just about spewed Diet Coke all over my screen when Former AG Eric Holder advised current AG Jeff Sessions to tell President Trump “No”.

Holder never told Obama no. I guarantee that his response was always,

Yes, sir. Yes. sir, Three bags full.

So, why is Holder speaking out about things happening in the Trump Administration all of a sudden.

Why is he so concerned?

Well…

The Justice Department said Wednesday it will turn over documents withheld by former Attorney General Eric Holder related to the Operation Fast and Furious scandal during the Obama administration.

The Justice Department entered into a conditional settlement agreement with the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. The settlement agreement was filed in federal court in Washington D.C., and ends six years of litigation arising out of the previous administration’s refusal to produce records requested by the committee.

“The Department of Justice under my watch is committed to transparency and the rule of law,” Attorney General Jeff Sessions said in a statement Wednesday. “This settlement agreement is an important step to make sure that the public finally receives all the facts related to Operation Fast and Furious.”

For those of you who don’t remember or those of you like Holder, who would like to forget, Fast and Furious was a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) operation in which the Obama Administration criminals to buy guns in Phoenix-area shops as a part of a strategy to track them as they were transported into Mexico.

However, the ATF lost track of more than 1,400 of the 2,000 guns which they allowed smugglers to buy. Additionally…and tragically, Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was shot and killed as a result of the botched operation.

Holder’s attempt to play the part of a righteous man and moral arbiter is enough to produce giggles or downright guffaws.

Holder came to the Obama Administration from a law firm which represented Islamic Terrorists and which was investigated for Foreclosure Fraud, by the name of Covington & Burling.

While Attorney General, he became Igor to Obama’s Dr. Frankenstein, serving as henchman to Obama as they carried out Obama’s mission of dividing the once-United States of America through the Rhetoric of intentional Racial Division and of Class Warfare.

Remember the late thug Michael Brown and the Ferguson Riots?

Obama sent Holder to that small Missouri Town, where he proceeded to fan the flames, in order that Obama’s quest for power through Racial Division would continue.

As Attorney General, Holder was just another Deep State Henchman, whose loyalty was not to America or “Justice For All”, but to the Liberal’s distorted, Marxist view of it known as “Social Justice”.

Holder has reappeared on the scene to cause further disruption to the Trump Presidency and to give the New Bolsheviks who are still engaging in their National Temper Tantrum over losing the 2016 Presidential Election another washed up Democrat to idolize.

Oh, and if you haven’t figured it out by now…Holder is also feverishly attempting to deflect from the release of these Fast and Furious Documents in order to save his own sorry…err…umm…self.

Is Mueller Tainted By Working at a Law Firm Which Donated Heavily to the Democrats?

The Associated Press reports that

President Donald Trump on Sunday took out his frustrations over the intensifying Russia investigation by lashing out at special counsel Robert Mueller, signaling a possible shift away from a strategy of cooperating with a probe he believes is biased against him. In a series of weekend tweets naming Mueller for the first time, Trump criticized the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election and raised fresh concerns about the objectivity and political leanings of the members of Mueller’s team.

Trump also challenged the honesty of Andrew McCabe, the newly fired FBI deputy director, and James Comey, the bureau’s former director whom Trump fired last year over the Russia probe.

The president’s aggressive stance followed a call Saturday by his personal lawyer for Rod Rosenstein, whom Trump appointed as deputy attorney general and who now oversees Mueller’s inquiry, to “bring an end” to that investigation.

Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee, which spent the past year conducting a parallel investigation, recently said they had drafted a report concluding no collusion or coordination between Trump’s presidential campaign and Russia. Committee Democrats vehemently disagreed.

“The Mueller probe should never have been started in that there was no collusion and there was no crime,” Trump tweeted Saturday. “It was based on fraudulent activities and a Fake Dossier paid for by Crooked Hillary and the DNC, and improperly used in FISA COURT for surveillance of my campaign. WITCH HUNT!” Trump was referring to a dossier of anti-Trump research funded by the Democratic Party and Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

Likely adding to Trump’s growing frustration, The New York Times reported last week that Mueller had subpoenaed the Trump Organization and requested Russia-related documents. Trump had said Mueller would cross a red line with such a step.

“Why does the Mueller team have 13 hardened Democrats, some big Crooked Hillary supporters, and Zero Republicans?” Trump tweeted Sunday.

Some of Mueller’s investigators indeed have contributed to Democratic political candidates, but Justice Department policy and federal service law bar discrimination in the hiring of career positions on the basis of political affiliation.

Mueller is a Republican.

Uh huh. In name only.

Actually. months ago, it was reported that 16 members of Mueller’s Investigative Team were Democrat Donors. But, 13…16…what’s a few more of the opposition party in Mueller’s lynch mob, anyway?

Mueller and his cadre of Liberal SS Troops continue to undermine Trump through the continuance of their Dog and Pony Show, which they euphemistically called “an investigation”.

The more that Mueller and his troops insist that they are non-biased, the more information comes forth that they have been and still are holdovers from the Clinton Administration, working as Deep State Operatives to do unto Trump as Brutus did unto Caesar.

They are proving themselves to be nothing but Trump Haters with no actual evidence of any kind that President Trump “colluded” with the Russians.

Several members of Mueller’s Team worked for the same Law Firm, WilmerHale, a huge Donor to the Democratic Party.

Anyone who has ever worked for the Law Firm of WilmerHale has donated to the Democratic Party…including Special Counsel Robert Mueller!

If you look at the Total Percentage of Political Contributions made by the Law Firm that Robert Mueller and several of his “investigators” worked for, you will notice that over the last 28 years, Wilmer Hale has donated approximately 8.5 million dollars to individual political candidates with 66% of those funds going to Democrats and only 31% going to Republicans.

Now. let’s get down to the number crunching….

Check out WilmerHale’s political donations for the 2016 Election Cycle. They gave $1,484,082 in total contributions. 76% of that total went to Democrats, including I am sure, a sizable chunk to the Presidential Campaign of Hillary Clinton. Only 21% of their Political Donations for the year of 2016 went to Republican Candidates.

Special Counsel Robert Mueller was a partner at Hale and Dorr LLP, an affiliate of WilmerHale, from 1993-1995. In 1994, that Law Firm gave a Total of $64,525 in Political Donations to Individual Candidates. $40,550 went to Democrats. $23,975 went to Republicans. The percentages broke down to 63% and 37%, respectively.

Robert Mueller was hired at WilmerHale in March of 2014 and stayed there until he was appointed Special Counsel in May of 2017.

That means that he was a contributor through his Law Firm to two Election Cycles, the 2014 Midterm Elections and the 2016 Presidential Election.

For months now, we have been hearing how Special Counsel Mueller’s integrity is above reproach. I do not personally know the man, so I have no first-hand knowledge of whether it is or not.

However, is it just me…or does it appear to be a gross Conflict of Interest for the Special Counsel and several members of his staff, who are conducting an exhaustive, no boundaries investigation searching for possible malfeasance of the part of a sitting Republican President and his staff, to have been members of a Law Firm with a very long and lucrative history of heavy donations to the Democratic Party?

Additionally, Mueller’s involvement in the Uranium One Democratic Collusion with Russia places him in another position of possible Conflict of Interest. Even if he is the man of integrity that all of the Washington Establishment claims him to be, the activities of the FBI Before, during, and after the Uranium One Deal and during the past ten months have been less than exemplary, to say the least.

Mueller’s history with the FBI, the WilmerHale Law Firm, and as a Washington Democratic Party Establishment Insider has placed him in an untenable position.

Mueller’s quest to find El Dorado…I mean Trump’s collusion with Russia has led him to expand the purview of his investigation into areas which have nothing to do with Russian meddling in the election and everything to do with trying to run Trump out of office, thereby overturning the wishes of the American People.

This farcical Witch Hunt needs to end…NOW.

“I Can Only Imagine” Why Christian Movies Are Doing So Well

By the time some of you are reading this post today, my Tuesday Night “Missional Community” (Small or Cell Group) from my church will be in their movie theater seats watching a great new movie whose popularity is taking off like a rocket.

I would be there too, but I have work on Sunday afternoons.

But, I digress…

According to Variety.com…

“I Can Only Imagine” tells the backstory of how a song came to exist. Not just any song but the best-selling Christian single of all time. Relatively unique among faith-based films, it’s a decent addition to Hollywood’s most hit-or-miss genre — the music biopic — that abruptly ends where the first-act break typically occurs in such movies: before the once-humble singer gets too big for his britches, caves in to temptation, and starts using drugs and/or cheating on his wife (since, for once, those tiresome clichés don’t seem to apply). Instead, this movie’s message is all about inspiration and forgiveness, which should satisfy a decent contingent of the moviegoing public grateful for a wholesome story with a happy ending.

Fans of the title song already know how “I Can Only Imagine” turns out — that is, what happens once MercyMe front man Bart Millard writes the lyrics to the track that will launch their debut album to triple-platinum status. But even newbies (such as this critic) may be impressed to learn how Millard (embodied by musical theater actor J. Michael Finley) managed to give so many Christians the words to express a love they find more powerful than any earthly romance: the anticipation they feel for the day when they will get to meet their heavenly father.

About that “taking off like a rocket”…

Breitbart.com reports that

The big news is the Christian film I Can Only Imagine, which was expected to bring in just $6 million from 1,628 theaters. By the time Monday rolls around, this little $7 million movie starring Dennis Quaid will have earned a whopping $14-plus million.

Why do you suppose the reason for this and other Christian Movies’ growing popularity is, gentle readers?

And, why do well-known stars such Dennis Quaid, Cloris Leachman, and Trace Atkins want to appear in them?

I mean, just the other day, on March 15th, MSNBC Anchor Stephanie Ruhle said the following about President Donald J. Trump’s new Economic Advisor, Larry Kudlow’s, Christian Faith…

“If you noticed when Larry Kudlow spoke on CNBC yesterday, he ended by saying, ‘However things work out, it will be God’s will.’ That’s an interesting way to talk about being the national economic adviser to the president. ‘God’s will?’”

She has since apologized, much in the same way that The View’s Joy Behar was forced to.

So, if the “Smartest People in the Room” on the East and Left Coasts believe that Christianity is something to be mocked, why are these movies doing so well?

We live in a time in our country where Traditional American ethics and values, including our Christian Faith, have been ridiculed and mocked by the Left and their public messengers as being antiquated, restrictive, ignorant, and even, bigoted.

And the majority of the movies which Hollywood has expectorated out in the last few years have reflected this skewed and intolerant view of Traditional American ethics and values.

If you, like myself , are a Political Junkie, or spend any time at all on Internet Political Website comments sections and political chat boards, you might think that American Christians are an endangered species.
Far from it.
According to a Gallup Poll taken in 2015, 3/4ths of our country believe that Jesus Christ is their Personal Savior and proudly proclaim themselves to be Christians.
So, if Americans believe in the Son of God, does that mean that they believe in the Fallen Angel, formerly known as Lucifer, also?
You betcha.
 In September of 2013, YouGov.com conducted a poll which showed that almost six in ten Americans believe that Satan is real, and more than half of Americans believe that people can be possessed by demons.

Is all this upheaval our nation is feverishly attempting to recover from, with no help from “The Resistance”, “Antifa”, , or whatever you want to call the Anti-American immature idiots, due to some sort of Satanic Influence attempting to tip the scales in the fight between Good and Evil, across our land?

A man, who would be considered a cornball by the standards of today’s Socially-Liberal Fiscally Conservative Liberals, Moderates, and “Libertarians”, wrote a prophetic analysis of today’s current events.

This speech was broadcast by legendary ABC Radio commentator Paul Harvey on April 3, 1965:

Christians are fighting back against the surrounding darkness by supporting those movies which reflect the Light and which do not spread the Darkness.

The song which inspired the movie “I Can Only Imagine” was not just popular on Contemporary Christian Music Radio Stations. It was also popular on Country and Pop Stations, as well.

The song remains popular to this day because of its reassuring and uplifting message of everlasting life in His presence.

In these turbulent times, when evil is lauded as good and abnormal behavior is glorified as normal, Christian Americans must take time to focus in on what’s really important.

Christian Movies provide that opportunity.

And, it is important that we spend time in contemplative thought about our Faith.

For as the lyrics to the song tell us…

I can only imagine when all I will do
Is forever, forever worship You
I can only imagine…
