Loughner: Of Princes and Principalities

Ephesians 6:12

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Per nydailynews.com, an altar with a skull sitting on top of a pot filled with shriveled oranges has been found behind a camouflage tent in the back yard of mass murderer Jared Lee Loughner.

Photos show a row of ceremonial candles and a bag of potting soil lying around near the shrine.

According to experts, these things are used  in the ceremonies of a number of occult groups.

This discovery definitely puts a crimp in the argument being pushing by the Left and all their Media Minions, broadcast, cable, and internet, that have been blaming Conservative vitriol, Tea Party Rhetoric, and even Sarah Palin for the actions of the psychopathic Loughner.

A note was also found saying:

I planned ahead.

According to students and faculty at Pima Community College, where the murderer attended until he got himself suspended last summer, Loughner was just plain weird.

Alex Kotonias, a 20-year-old classmate told USA Today:

He was one of the last kids to come in, and he sat down and almost immediately started laughing to himself in a way that was just kind of creepy.

As soon as the teacher started going over the syllabus, he had this outburst out of nowhere, didn’t even raise his hand, and started asking the teacher some sort of weird questions about whether he believed in mind control.

Adjunct Prof. Ben McGahee, 28, told USA Today that he was concerned about Loughner turning violent:

I remember going home and thinking to myself, ‘Is he going to bring a weapon to class?’

Then, why didn’t you tell somebody?

According to The Washington Post, Lynda Sorenson, 52, a student in McGahee’s basic algebra class with Loughner, told her friends that she was scared, also:

She wrote on June 14th:

We have a mentally unstable person in the class that scares the living crap out of me. He is one of those whose picture you see on the news, after he has come into class with an automatic weapon. Everyone interviewed would say, ‘Yeah, he was in my math class and he was really weird.’ I sit by the door with my purse handy.

College officials went to Loughner’s parents’ home, where he lived, with a letter telling him that he could not return without a mental health professional’s written assurance that his presence at college would “not present a danger to himself or others.”

Neighbor Anthony Woods, 19, said:

It was obvious to everyone that Jared wasn’t a normal guy.

The killer worked as a volunteer at the Pima Animal Care Center, where he walked dogs and cleaned cages.

According to a fellow worker:

He loved animals and was a good worker.

And he was evil incarnate.

Per phoenixnewtimes.com, Caitie Parker, another classmate of Loughner, has described him as “left-wing” and a “pot head” in a series of posts on Twitter Saturday afternoon.

She “tweeted” after the shooting, describing Jared Loughner as a substance-abusing loner who had met Giffords before the shooting.   According to Parker, Loughner described the congresswoman as “stupid and unintelligent.”

The Phoenix New Times has confirmed that Parker and Loughner went to school together at Mountain View High School in Tucson and that both attended Pima Community College.

Parker “tweeted” that she and Loughner were in the band together and were friends until 2007 when he became “reclusive” after getting alcohol poisoning and dropping out of college.

She described him as “quite liberal” and as a “political radical.”

Guy Benson, of The Tipsheet on townhall.com, reiterates what Parker tweeted and adds sauce to the goose:

For a time, Loughner drank heavily, to the point of poisoning himself, the friends said. Once, during school lunch break as a junior, he downed so much tequila that he came back to class, within five minutes passed out cold, had to be rushed to the hospital and “almost died,” one friend said.

Mistrust of government was Loughner’s defining conviction, the friends said. He believed the U.S. government was behind 9/11, and worried that governments were maneuvering to create a unified monetary system (“a New World Order currency” one friend said) so that social elites and bureaucrats could control the rest of the world.

All this information does nothing at all to back up the classless rhetoric which has been spewing from the Left since this horrible massacre occurred.  This monster was not a Conservative.  His actions were not the fault of the resurgent Conservative movement in America, and they sure as all get out were not the fault of former Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin.

Whether the Left wishes to believe it or not, evil exists.  And trying to limit the free speech of Conservative Americans and/or issuing Internet IDs to track Americans and what they say on the internet is not going to impact humanity’s ongoing battle against princes and principalities.

A Note From KJ:  As you may have noticed, I’ve been taking a few days off at the end of the year.  I’ve been thanking God for his bountiful blessings, enjoying my family, (including my 3 year old grandson who has worn Grandpa smackdab out), and composing my thoughts as to what 2011 might have in store for us Average Americans.  We’ll explore these things together during the year.  Until then, please remember:

The Past is a memory.

The future is a promise.

Today is a gift from God.

That is why it is called “The Present”.

Thanks for sticking with me.

May God bless you and yours in this New Year.

The Celebration of the Greatest Gift of All

Luke 2: 8-14 (ASV)

8 And there were shepherds in the same country abiding in the field, and keeping watch by night over their flock.

9 And an angel of the Lord stood by them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.

10 And the angel said unto them, Be not afraid; for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which shall be to all the people:

11 for there is born to you this day in the city of David a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord.

12 And this is the sign unto you: Ye shall find a babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, and lying in a manger.

13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,

14 Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace among men in whom he is well pleased.

In 1912, C.P.J. Mooney worked as  the editor for the Commercial Appeal in Memphis, TN.  He wrote an editorial that has become a yearly tradition, not only in Memphis, but around the world.  Here it is, as my Christmas Gift to you, my much appreciated readers.

Jesus, The Perfect Man

There is no other character in history like that of Jesus.

As a preacher, as a doer of things, and as a philosopher, no man ever had the sweep and the vision of Jesus.

A human analysis of the human actions of Jesus brings to view a rule of life that is amazing in its perfect detail.

The system of ethics Jesus taught during His earthly sojourn 2,000 years ago was true then, has been true in every century since and will be true forever.

Plato was a great thinker and learned in his age, but his teachings did not stand the test of time. In big things and in little things time and human experience have shown that he erred.

Marcus Aurelius touched the reflective mind of the world, but he was as cold and austere as brown marble. …

Thomas a Kempis’ ”Imitation of Christ” is a thing of rare beauty and sympathy, but it is, as its name indicates, only an imitation.

Sir Thomas More’s ”Utopia” is yet a dream that cannot be realized.

Lord Bacon writing on chemistry and medicine under the glasses of the man working in a 20th century laboratory is puerile.

The world’s most learned doctors until 150 years ago gave dragon’s blood and ground tails of lizards and shells of eggs for certain ailments. The great surgeons a hundred years ago bled a man if he were wounded.

Napoleon had the world at his feet for four years, and when he died the world was going on its way as if he had never lived.

JESUS TAUGHT little as to property because He knew there were things of more importance than property. He measured property and life, the body and soul, at their exact relative value. He taught much more as to character, because character is of more importance than dollars.

Other men taught us to develop systems of government. Jesus taught so as to perfect the minds of men. Jesus looked to the soul, while other men dwelled on material things.

After the experience of 2,000 years no man can find a flaw in the governmental system outlined by Jesus.

Czar and kaiser, president and Socialist, give to its complete merit their admiration.

No man today, no matter whether he follows the doctrine of Mill, Marx or George as to property, can find a false principle in Jesus’ theory of property.

In the duty of a man to his fellow no sociologist has ever approximated the perfection of the doctrine laid down by Jesus in His Sermon on the Mount.

Not all the investigations of chemists, not all the discoveries of explorers, not all the experiences of rulers, not all the historical facts that go to make up the sum of human knowledge on this day in 1912 are in contradiction to one word uttered or one principle laid down by Jesus.

The human experiences of 2,000 years show that Jesus never made a mistake. Jesus never uttered a doctrine that was true at that time and then became obsolete.

Jesus spoke the truth, and the truth is eternal.

History has no record of any other man leading a perfect life or doing everything in logical order. Jesus is the only person whose every action and whose every utterance strike a true note in the heart and mind of every man born of woman. He never said a foolish thing, never did a foolish act and never dissembled.

No poet, no dreamer, no philosopher loved humanity with all the love that Jesus bore toward all men.

WHO, THEN, was Jesus?

He could not have been merely a man, for there never was a man who had two consecutive thoughts absolute in truthful perfection.

Jesus must have been what Christendom proclaims Him to be — a divine being — or He could not have been what He was. No mind but an infinite mind could have left behind those things which Jesus gave the world as a heritage.

So, on this Christmas Day, as you spend time with family and freinds, remember the we have an Advocate in Jesus Christ the Righteous…and Rejoice!  For unto us a child is born…unto us a Son is given.  Hallelujah!

From the Innkeeper’s Point of View

Luke 2:  1-7 (ASV):

1 Now it came to pass in those days, there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be enrolled.

2 This was the first enrolment made when Quirinius was governor of Syria.

3 And all went to enrol themselves, every one to his own city.

   4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family of David;

5 to enrol himself with Mary, who was betrothed to him, being great with child.

6 And it came to pass, while they were there, the days were fulfilled that she should be delivered.

7 And she brought forth her firstborn son; and she wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.

I remember it like it was yesterday.  Caesar Augustus had come up with the bright idea that a census should be taken of the whole Roman Empire, in order to more effectively tax the stew out of all of us.

It especially hurt small businessmen like me.  You see, I’m nothing but a lowly innkeeper, barely keeping my head above water, working 16 hour days.  Oy!  I could continue to gripe, but who would listen?

Anyway, like I said, Caesar decreed that everyone should get themselves registered for the Census.  It terms of business, that actually turned out to be a good thing.

I was about to lock up for the night, when a young man and  woman came to the door.  He was a strong, rugged-looking young man.  I think he was a carpenter.  She was a beautiful, pregnant little thing.  Bless her heart, she looked like she would deliver at any moment.  Their names were Joseph and Mary.

My inn was packed, for once, and I had no rooms available.  But, some part of my heart told me that I just couldn’t send them away, so I offered them my stable, which would at least offer some protection from the elements.

What happened that night was wondrous.  Men are still talking about it to this day.  A precious little baby boy was born that night and the most miraculous things happened.  People said that animals actually spoke!  And the local shepherds said that angels came to them and told them about this baby.  They sang His praises and told the shepherds that they needed to come to my stable to see and worship that little baby.

Three wise men, sent by Herod, showed up later, bearing gifts for that special infant.  They were overcome by that little one and decided that they would not report back to Herod, but, instead, would return to their homes.

It was quite a remarkable time.  As the years went by, I heard stories about that child.  They named Him Jesus.  He grew in knowledge and stature.  At 12, his parents lost Him.  They found Him in the synagogue, teaching the old men that should have been teaching Him!  Can you imagine?

He grew up working beside His father in his carpentry business and when He was 30, I heard that He was baptized by that wild man, John The Baptist.  According to witnesses the heavens parted, and they heard the voice of God saying:

This is my beloved son, in whom I am well pleased.

For three years, He traveled with a group of twelve disciples, performing miracles, preaching and teaching about God’s love and His plan for mankind.

And, now I’ve heard that just yesterday, they nailed Him to a cross, executing Him as they would a common criminal.

So sad.  But, you know, there is a still, small voice inside of me that’s telling me that His story is not over, yet.

I truly hope that you enjoyed this post today.  Tonight, we celebrate the birth of Our Savior Jesus Christ.  In closing, I want to share two videos with you.  The first is a video entitled, “That’s my King!”, as read by Dr. S.M. Lockridge.  The second video is a song that I’ve had the privilege of performing many times.  Written by Gaither Vocal Band member Mark Lowry and musician Buddy Greene, it has become a favorite of Believers everywhere.

Merry Christmas to you and yours!  And may God bless us, everyone!

The War Against Christianity Rages On

After witnessing this weekend’s assault by the cluelessly politically correct on America’s Armed Forces and the beliefs of Christian Conservative  Americans, I began to do a little research concerning the War against Christianity.

According to dailymail.co.uk:

Christmas has been banned by the Red Cross from its 430 fund-raising shops.

Red Cross staff members have received orders to remove decorations and any other signs of the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ.

Why?  Because they do not want Muslims to be offended!

These idiots must be cousins of that bunch up in the Beltway and America’s Left Coast.

Brits, both Christian and Muslim, are outraged by this stupidity.

Christine Banks, a volunteer at a Red Cross shop in New Romney, Kent, said:

We put up a nativity scene in the window and were told to take it out. It seems we can’t have anything that means Christmas. We’re allowed to have some tinsel but that’s it.

When we send cards they have to say season’s greetings or best wishes. They must not be linked directly to Christmas.

When we asked we were told it is because we must not upset Moslems.

We have been instructed that we can’t say anything about Christmas and we certainly can’t have a Christmas tree.

I think the policy is offensive to Moslems as well as to us. No reasonable person can object to Christians celebrating Christmas. But we are not supposed to show any sign of Christianity at all.

Labor peer Lord Ahmed, one of the UK’s most recognized Muslim politicians, said:

It is stupid to think Moslems would be offended.

The Moslem community has been talking to Christians for the past 1,400 years. The teachings from Islam are that you should respect other faiths.

In my business all my staff celebrate Christmas and I celebrate with them. It is absolutely not the case that Christmas could damage the Red Cross reputation for neutrality. I think their people have gone a little bit over the top.

Liberals stay over the top. That’s the way Alinsky taught them to achieve their goals.

Earlier this year, the British Red Cross announced its support for the French illegal (Muslim) immigrant camp at Sangatte and devoted itself to helping asylum seekers.

Recently, officials at the charity’s London HQ confirmed that Christmas is barred from the 430 shops which contributed more than £20 million to its income last year.

According to a spokesman:

The Red Cross is a neutral organisation and we don’t want to be aligned with any political party or particular philosophy.

We don’t want to be seen as a Christian or Islamic or Jewish organisation because that might compromise our ability to work in conflict situations around the world.

In shops people can put up decorations like tinsel or snow which are seasonal. But the guidance is that things representative of Christmas cannot be shown.

The charity’s base organization, the Swiss-based International Red Cross, has also had politically correct attacks on its famous symbol. But efforts to replace it were abandoned due to all the protests and ridicule they received five years ago.

But, hey, that’s just the UK, right?  Nothing like that could happen here, could it?  Au contraire, mon frere!

As told on washingtontimes.com, in June of this year, the Young Men’s Christian Association, or YMCA, announced that, from now on, it would simply be known as the “Y”.

Kate Coleman, senior vice president and chief marketing officer of the YMCA of the USA, in a press release for the brand change, said:

We are changing how we talk about ourselves so that people better understand the benefits of engaging with the Y. We are simplifying how we describe the programs we offer so that it is immediately apparent that everything we do is designed to nurture that potential of children and teens, improve health and well-being and support our neighbors and the large community.

Co-incidentally to my previous story, the YMCA was founded in 1844 in London. It was named the “Young Men’s Christian Association”. It’s founders wanted to create healthy social conditions for young men during the Industrial Revolution. The parallel YWCA for women also dates back to the 19th century, and the YMCA began admitting women in its programs at the end of World War II.

The organization grew during the 1990s, establishing programs and services specifically designed for “youth development, for healthy living and for social responsibility.” Today, there are 2,687 facilities in more than 10,000 communities, and it serves 21 million men, women and children.

According to Ms. Coleman, the decision to change the name took two years. What initially began as an awareness campaign eventually turned into a desire for a fresh look:

As we got into the process, we realized it was much bigger than what we thought. We did a ton of research and what we found was that people don’t realize or understand why we do what we do.

Ms. Coleman claims that the former logo did not create enough attention. So, she says, the new brand was created in order for people to better understand the organization’s mission and its history.

And, after all, that whole Christianity thing is sooo un-PC, isn’t it?

John Adams –

The general principles on which the fathers achieved independence were the general principles of Christianity. I will avow that I then believed, and now believe, that those general principles of Christianity are as eternal and immutable as the existence and attributes of God.

Hope Comes With the Morning

I woke up this morning terribly depressed and disappointed.  Not surprised.  Just disappointed.  Disappointed in a lot of Conservatives who seem to be  more wrapped up in today’s Progressively driven culture of convenient morality and adjustable ethics, than the immovable Rock that this nation was founded upon.

By now, some of you so-called Fiscal Conservatives and Liberals that have stumbled upon this site are probably giggling at my displeasure.  You may be saying , what do you mean this country was founded upon an immovable rock?  The people who founded this country left England for freedom from religion, didn’t they?

That’s what the Progressives taught you, kids.  Here’s how our Founding Fathers actually felt about their Creator and their Faith:

From David Barton’s wallbuilders.com:

Benjamin Franklin – Signer of the Constitution and Declaration of Independence

[O]nly a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters.

(Source: Benjamin Franklin, The Writings of Benjamin Franklin, Jared Sparks, editor (Boston: Tappan, Whittemore and Mason, 1840), Vol. X, p. 297, April 17, 1787. )

I have lived, Sir, a long time, and the longer I live, the more convincing proofs I see of this truth, that God governs in the affairs of men. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without His notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without his aid? We have been assured, Sir, in the Sacred Writings, that “except the Lord build the House, they labor in vain that build it.” I firmly believe this; and I also believe that without His concurring aid we shall succeed in this political building no better, than the Builders of Babel: We shall be divided by our partial local interests; our projects will be confounded, and we ourselves shall become a reproach and bye word down to future ages. And what is worse, mankind may hereafter from this unfortunate instance, despair of establishing governments by human wisdom and leave it to chance, war and conquest.

I therefore beg leave to move that henceforth prayers imploring the assistance of Heaven, and its blessings on our deliberations be held in this Assembly every morning before we proceed to business, and that one or more of the clergy of this city be requested to officiate in that service.

(Source: James Madison, The Records of the Federal Convention of 1787, Max Farrand, editor (New Haven: Yale University Press, 1911), Vol. I, pp. 450-452, June 28, 1787.)

Thomas Jefferson – Signer of the Declaration of Independence and Third President of the United States

Give up money, give up fame, give up science, give the earth itself and all it contains rather than do an immoral act. And never suppose that in any possible situation, or under any circumstances, it is best for you to do a dishonorable thing, however slightly so it may appear to you. Whenever you are to do a thing, though it can never be known but to yourself, ask yourself how you would act were all the world looking at you, and act accordingly. Encourage all your virtuous dispositions, and exercise them whenever an opportunity arises, being assured that they will gain strength by exercise, as a limb of the body does, and that exercise will make them habitual. From the practice of the purest virtue, you may be assured you will derive the most sublime comforts in every moment of life, and in the moment of death.

(Source: Thomas Jefferson, The Writings of Thomas Jefferson, Albert Bergh, editor (Washington, DC: Thomas Jefferson Memorial Assoc., 1903), Vol. 5, pp. 82-83, in a letter to his nephew Peter Carr on August 19, 1785.)

The doctrines of Jesus are simple, and tend all to the happiness of mankind.

(Source: Thomas Jefferson, The Writings of Thomas Jefferson, Albert Bergh, editor (Washington, D. C.: Thomas Jefferson Memorial Assoc., 1904), Vol. XV, p. 383.)

I concur with the author in considering the moral precepts of Jesus as more pure, correct, and sublime than those of ancient philosophers.

(Source: Thomas Jefferson, The Writings of Thomas Jefferson, Albert Bergh, editor (Washington, D. C.: Thomas Jefferson Memorial Assoc., 1904), Vol. X, pp. 376-377. In a letter to Edward Dowse on April 19, 1803.)

I chose these two Founding Fathers because they are the subject of a lot of Progressive lies.  Lies that apparently a bunch of posters on Conservative websites have bought into.  Lies that the Progressives have planted in our country’s classrooms for years, designed to corrupt young impressionable minds.

These lies have led to a tyranny of the minority.  Average Americans’ lives are being affected, changed, and restricted by a minority in control of us who are making decisions based on a political/social/cutural ideology, embraced by a mere 18 % of America’s population, according to a gallup.com poll of likely voters released shortly before the transformative Midterm Elections.

The Midterms were indeed transformative.  This Congress will soon be assigned to the dustbin of history.  They’ve left behind a heritage of an arrogant tone-deafness which has produced nothing but unwanted legislation harmful to the future of America.

As disappointed as I was with the reactions of Conservative websites, their posters, and, even Fox News yesterday, I still have hope and strength, for I have staked my claim upon that same immovable Rock that America was founded upon.

On Christ The Solid Rock I stand.

All other ground is sinking sand.

All other ground is sinking sand.

Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, Don’t Want to Know

Today, Dinghy Harry Reid plans to lead his Senatorial minions in a procedural vote on a bill which would end the Pentagon’s Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell policy.  If passed, it would be a huge victory for President Barack Hussein Obama (mm mmm mmmm), the Far Left, and the strident Homosexual Activist Lobby.

If at least 60 senators vote to advance the bill, the repeal, which passed the House this week, could become a law by late afternoon.

This was one of Obama’s campaign promises that he made during his campaign in 2008. The Dems, the Nutroots, and the Homosexual Activists Lobby are pushing hard to get this done before the new Congress comes in and their chance for getting this social experiment passed diminishes to that of a snowball in July.

Advocates have been pushing hard to get this passed, even to the point of a Homosexual Activist Group vowing to sit in silent protest in the Senate gallery until the repeal is passed.

Aubrey Sarvis, executive director of the Servicemembers Legal Defense Network, said:

We simply cannot let the clock run out and lose this historic opportunity.

If DADT is repealed, it would mean that gays could publicly acknowledge their sexual orientation in our Armed Forces without fear of being kicked out.

If the bill passes, and with this bunch it looks like it will, the president, the defense secretary, and chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, are required to certify to Congress that lifting the ban won’t hurt troops’ ability to fight.  Once they make the certification, 60 days must pass before any changes go into effect.

The House gave its approval to this social experiment earlier in the week by a 250-174 vote.

Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), thinks that now is not the time to be experimenting with our Best and Brightest:

We send these young people into combat. We think they’re mature enough to fight and die. I think they’re mature enough to make a judgment on who they want to serve with and the impact on their battle effectiveness.

The administration’s push for the repeal of DADT was facilitated by a Pentagon study (Who runs the Pentagon?) that claimed that gays could serve openly without any effect on our troops in combat. The study by the Pentagon under the Obama Administration claims that two-thirds of troops predicted little impact if the law is repealed.

Of course, Obama’s employees, the Pentagon’s top leadership, including Defense Secretary Robert Gates and Adm. Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff backed the findings of the study.

Are the findings by this administration’s Pentagon politically manipulated?  You betcha.

Per marinecorpstimes.com:

Nowhere in the Pentagon’s 103-question survey about gays in the military did troops get an opportunity to offer a direct opinion on the underlying issue: Do you want to see “don’t ask, don’t tell” repealed?

In the article, also posted at navytimes.com, it is reported that Sen. Roger Wicker, R-Miss., asked a very good question at a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing:

Were you troubled at the answer we might have received, if we had simply asked them, in addition to all the other questions. … ‘Do you think the law should be changed?’

The chiefs of the Army and Marine Corps told Congress that a repeal could seriously affect troops if the law is overturned when troops are still fighting in Afghanistan.

Gen. James Amos, the head of the Marine Corps, has become the most outspoken opponent and claims letting gay troops serve openly could cost lives.

Gen. Amos, said:

We asked for their opinions, and they gave them to us. Their message to me is that the potential exists for disruption to the successful execution of our current combat mission should repeal be implemented at this time.

Obama’s employees, Gates and Mullen, dismissed the fears of Gen. Amos. They stand by the Obama Pentagon’s claim that 92 percent of troops who believe they have served with a gay person saw no impact on their units’ morale or effectiveness.

What they didn’t talk about is the fact that, according to the study by Obama’s Pentagon, 23 percent of Marines said that they would quit if DADT is repealed and another 15 percent said that they would consider leaving the Corps sooner.

Why is it that Liberals view our Best and Brightest as nothing but a collection of  lab rats, to be experimented on as the subjects of social engineering?  It’s bad enough that politicians have subjected our nation’s warriors to the whims of political expediency in the past, or, simply used them as cannon fodder.

But, to possibly undermine the effectiveness of the world’s greatest fighting force, simply to appease the wishes of a small Activist group, consisting of a small percentage of  a larger group of still only 5 % of the U.S. population, or to appease an uncertain percentage of the 18% of Americans who self-identify as Liberal, is an act of placing politics and ideology over the safety of Americans to fulfill a campaign promise.

Gay men and women are currently serving now, subject to the same rules and discipline, the same as any other member of our Armed Forces.  And may God bless them for it.

This is not a “Civil Rights” issue.  This is another “frog in the pot of boiling water” moment brought by those intent on rebuilding our nation’s foundation on shifting sands.

Silent Libs, Holy Jihad

Unless you’re a news junkie, you probably have not heard much about two explosions occurring on a crowded street in central Stockholm, Sweden yesterday. If you heard about the incident at all, you heard that the suspects were unidentified.

Just as everyone thought, police have now confirmed that it was a suicide bombing, which left the bomber dead and two people injured. It would be the first such attack ever recorded in Sweden. Police have refused to comment on the motive.

However,a Swedish news agency broke the politically-correct Cone of Silence. They reported that they received an e-mail threat right before the attack. The sender said that he had visited the Middle East “for jihad,” referring to the country’s soldiers in Afghanistan and a cartoon of Muhammad that torqued off the Muslim world.

Sweden has not raised its terror threat alert, however, police are investigating the attacks as “a crime of terror,” according to spokesman Anders Thornberg:

When we go through the existing criteria and the series of events that occurred it fits well within the description of a terror crime.

Thornberg would not confirm local media reports that the dead murderer had explosives strapped to his body. He also refused to say that the man was a suspected suicide bomber, but he did say that police have “a totally clear picture about that” but were not sharing the information.

He said that, so far, were no indications so far that other people were involved.

I wonder if he’s a relative of New York City Mayor Bloomberg?  The rhetoric’s sure the same.

The attack consisted of a car exploding near the shop-lined pedestrian-only Drottninggatan street. Then, a second explosion hit higher up on the same street. According to witnesses, a man was seen lying on the ground afterward with blood appearing to come from his abdomen.

The exploded car contained gas canisters, per rescue workers.

Ten minutes before the blasts, Swedish news agency TT received an e-mail saying “the time has come to take action.” According to the news agency, the e-mail referred to Sweden’s silence surrounding artist Lars Vilks’ 2007 drawing of Muhammad as a dog and to its presence in Afghanistan, where it has about 500 soldiers in the NATO force.

The e-mail read:

Now your children, daughters and sisters shall die like our brothers and sisters and children are dying.

The man said he visited the Middle East “for jihad,” but that he could not tell his wife or child about it:

I never went to the Middle East to work or to earn money, I went there for jihad.

Vilks’ drawing in a local Swedish newspaper infuriated Muslims. In May, somebody unsuccessfully tried to burn down his home in southern Sweden after he showed a film about Islam and homosexuality during a lecture at Uppsala University.

And how is the Obama Administration trying to protect us from these “man-caused disasters”?

In a speech Friday night,  Attorney General Eric Holder basically said that our government will not start profiling Muslims anytime soon.

During a speech to Muslim Advocates, based out of San Francisco,(of course) Holder informed them that he’s heard from many Muslim and Arab Americans who feel uneasy and singled out by law enforcement.

Yeah, but they sure won’t speak out against Terrorism very much, will they?

Muslim Advocates is one of several groups complaining about hate crimes, alleged rights violations at the hands of law enforcement and the tactics used in anti-terrorism cases.

Recent sting operations by the FBI and Justice Department have thwarted plots against a Portland, Ore., Christmas celebration, Dallas skyscrapers, Washington subways, a Chicago nightclub and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport.

Undercover agents in these cases have let suspects make clear they wanted to carry out an attack and gave them a chance to change their mind, according to the government.

Holder told the group of Muslims and their supporters that he would make “no apologies” for the the way his people handled the case against Mohamed Osman Mohamud, 19, a Somali-born Muslim accused of plotting to set off a bomb in Oregon.

Those who characterize the FBI’s activities in this case as ‘entrapment’ simply do not have their facts straight or do not have a full understanding of the law.”

Mohamud has pleaded not guilty to charges of attempted murder of federal officers and attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction. After his arrest, an Islamic center where he occasionally worshipped was set on fire.

Critics have called the stings entrapment of people who otherwise couldn’t have carried out an attack and said the government has been enticing Muslims into terrorism.

Muslim Advocates executive director Farhana Khera, who invited Holder to speak to the group, said:

We have very serious concerns about FBI surveillance tactics that are used. We believe that law enforcement has an important job to protect us as a country but they should do so mindful of the rules of justice and fairness that are at the core of our criminal justice system.

Americans are seriously concerned about the Holy Jihad that members of your religion have declared against our country, Farhana.

Holder received thunderous applause and a standing ovation at the conclusion of his speech. Muslims and their supporters attending said they felt reassured by his remarks on protecting the civil liberties of Muslim Americans.

Because, Lord knows, it’s the ugly, barbaric Christian Americans that are to blame for the Terrorist attacks around the world.  Gimme a break.

Stealing Christmas

I remember it as if it was yesterday.  Daddy and I were sitting on the hardwood floor of the living room, playing with the Rock ’em Sock ’em Robots that Santa had brought me.   He was still in his gray Sears uniform with the round red Sears emblem, having come home from work. Some of my aunts and uncles were sitting around, watching us play.  The Christmas tree was standing there, in all of its silver aluminum majesty, alternating between red, yellow, blue, and green, as the color wheel spun around.

That’s just one of a number of great Christmas memories that God has blessed me with over the years.

Some children, up in Chicago, have had some of their future Christmas memories stolen from them.

Thugs set fire to a van on the South Side of Chicago last month belonging to the charity Kidz Korna.  Each Christmas, the charity gives away thousands of presents to hundreds of area children.

The charity helps children who’ve been exposed to violence and child abuse.

Volunteers now worry they won’t be able to get enough gifts for children in need.  They are hoping someone steps forward before it’s too late.

Chicago mayoral hopeful Dock Walls said:

If someone has a van, one van, two vans, it doesn’t matter. They have a huge, huge, huge heart and they can deliver to a lot of kids if we enable them to do that. Christmas is more than just a holiday, it’s a tradition that services children and gives them hope.

Kidz Korna has been helping children in the Auburn-Gresham neighborhood since 1995.

It’s not just the criminals among us that seem to have a Grinch-like spirit within them this Christmas.

According to star-telegram.com, Chase Bank has told a  Southlake, Texas businessman to remove the Christmas tree he donated to a local branch because it might offend people.

Antonio Morales, who owns the Bellagio Day Spa in Southlake, had taken the time to put together and decorate a 9-foot-tall tree in the lobby of the Chase Bank branch at 1700 E. Southlake Boulevard.performing a favor for the branch manager, one of his clients.

The tree stayed  in the bank lobby from the Monday before Thanksgiving until last Tuesday.   According to Morales, his friend called him Wednesday and told him the tree had to go.  She had him come to the branch and showed him an e-mail from JPMorgan Chase.  Chase proclaimed that the tree had to be removed because some people were offended by it.

When the Star-Telegram asked the branch what the big deal was, the bank referred questions to their corporate offices.

According to Greg Hassell, a JPMorgan Chase spokesman, the company’s policy isn’t anti-Christmas:

People wish their customers merry Christmas when it’s appropriate.

Uh huh.  And a Bah, Humbug to you, too, sir.

He went on to say that, to ensure that everyone who visits Chase branches feels welcome and comfortable, the bank’s policy is to use only decorations supplied by the company.

Hassell said:

We appreciate the thoughtful gesture from Mr. Morales.  Unfortunately, we’re unable to keep it [the tree] on display for the remainder of the holiday season.   According to this politically correct individual, JPMorgan Chase ensures that decorations are “something everyone is comfortable with, regardless of how they celebrate the season”.

What’s Christmas without a tree?

The spokeswoman for Trinity Bank in Fort Worth, Texas said it has had a tree in its lobby since the Friday after Thanksgiving.

Linda Robinson, Assistant Vice-President for the bank, said:

I’ve been in this business more than 30 years, and every place I’ve worked we’ve put up a Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving.

Bryan Fischer, director of issue analysis for the American Family Association, called Chase’s decision absurd:

According to Advertising Age, 91 percent of American people celebrate Christmas.  That means that the single most inoffensive thing you can do at this time of year is wish someone a merry Christmas.

Fischer said that companies that have gotten away from acknowledging Christmas claim that they do it because they want to be inclusive:

The most inclusive thing you can do is wish someone merry Christmas.  This means that Chase is running the risk of offending far more people by disrespecting Christmas than they are by honoring it.

Hassell said that the Southlake branch was supplied with stickers that resemble Christmas lights. Company-supplied decorations vary at other branches, he said:

Normally they’re small, not intrusive. I’m not sure this [Morales’] Christmas tree was intrusive. That’s not really the issue here. It isn’t a company-supplied decoration.

Yeah, right, Ebenezer.

According to Hassell, the policy has been around for a few years, and that decorations change every year.

Morales loves Christmas.  In fact, he enjoys the Christmas season so much that he decorated 35 trees at his home.

He said:

I’m known for my Christmas trees

In fact, Morales even decorated his plastic surgeon’s office.

According to Senor Navidad:

I put a tree up in his office. It doesn’t offend him, and he’s Jewish.

Isn’t Mr. Morales great?  I hope more Americans get the Christmas Spirit this year like he has.  The politically correct Progressives and the bitter, maladjusted thugs seem determined to ruin Christmas in America.  What these tremendously lost individuals do not seem to understand is that Christmas is not just a holiday designed to grow the coffers of retailers or satisfy avarice.  It is way more than that.  What is Christmas all about?  Allow me to present a video featuring an expert.  Merry Christmas!

I’m 52 and I’m Fed Up.

I’m 52 years old today.  It has been a remarkable journey.   Some years have passed by much too quickly.  Others have been as slow and painful as the Rosie O’Donnell Variety Show.   Some of the lessons that God has taught me have been more painful than others.  But, through it all, His Grace has been sufficient for my every need.

I’ve always had a big mouth.  One of the most painful lessons I’ve had to learn is when to keep it shut.  However, as I’ve gotten older, I’ve noticed that those who seek to impose their will on us, as a free nation, appear to be doing and saying whatever outrageous, hurtful, treasonous, and unpatriotic things that they want to, counting on all of us average, Christian Americans (75% of the population, per Gallup) to keep our collective mouths shut.

Well, you know what?  I’m 52 and I’m fed up.

I’m fed up with less than 10 % of our population being so self-involved and bitter in their belief that all of this fantastic Universe around us just happened, that they try to make Christians as bitter as they are.  Especially, this time of year as we celebrate the birth of our Saviour.

These learned individuals completely ignore the writings of brilliant men, such as Ralph Waldo Emerson, who said:

All I have seen teaches me to trust the Creator for all I have not seen.

or G. K. Chesterton, who said:

When men stop believing in God, they don’t believe in nothing.  They believe in anything.

I’m fed up with a bunch of amoral, treasonous hyenas controlling the entertainment industry.  These are the brilliant individuals who have brought us such cinematic masterpieces as Redacted and The Golden Compass and such high brow television entertainment like My Dad Says @#$% !

In the music industry, the song  @#$% You! (which is being sung on Glee as Forget You!) is being honored for an industry award.

I can remember when The Rolling Stones had to change the words to their hit, Let’s Spend the Night Together to Let’s Spend Some Time Together on The Ed Sullivan Show because of the CBS Censors.

I’m fed up with spoiled, crybaby professional athletes.  Some idiot the other day tweeted (that’s a whole other subject) that he was mad at God for making him drop a pass.  That crybaby should get on his knees and thank God every day for allowing him to make obscene amounts of money, playing a game that most of us are restricted to playing with family and friends in our front yard.

New York Giants Safety Andrel Rolle told the media that the fans should not be booing them for being a lousy football team, because they’re like American soldiers reeturning from Iraq…or something.

Gimme a break.

I’m fed up with the Liberal Media and Conservatives, too, who ought to know better after suffering all these years, unmercifully attacking Sarah Palin two years away from a Presidential Election that she hasn’t even announced her intentions for, yet.

There was story on Fox and Friends this morning about folks who camped out overnight  at one of her book signings.  She really does connect with a lot of average Americans.

By the way, has Mitt Romney endorsed anyone in the 2010 Midterm Elections, yet?

I’m fed up with the Obama’s, and the pinheaded bureaucrats and academicians in their administration who believe that they have the right to tell us how to raise and what to feed our children.  San Francisco has voted to take the toys out of kids’ McDonald’s Happy Meals!

These are our children and grandchildren.  We will raise them as we see fit.

Not only do they want to tell us what we can feed to our children, they want to control what we eat.  In New York City, Mayor Bloomberg wants to ban salt from restaurants.  What?  Banning Trans Fat and making french fries, potato chips, and popcorn taste different wasn’t enough?

I’m 52 years old. If I want to have Popeye’s Fried Chicken with mashed potatoes, fried okra, and biscuits, it’s none of your dadblamed business, Michelle (ma belle).  People in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.  Have you surveyed your own Southern flank lately?

Finally, I’m fed up with Obama, his administration, his political party, and Congress.  These people are so riddled with self-importance, and so intellectually constricted by their self-imposed boundaries of the Beltway Elite society that they live in, that they have completely lost touch with the citizens of the country that they are supposed to represent.  They somehow believe that it is in their best interests to govern on behalf of the 18 % of Americans who identify themselves as being Liberals.  And those that don’t really believe in this Liberal/Progressive/Marxist ideology, don’t seem to possess the intestinal fortitude to man up and actually serve the people who elected them.

One would have thought that the Political Massacre on November 2nd would have gotten their attention.  However, judging from their actions since they got back to work Monday, this oblivious pack of political scavengers seem bound and determined to gnaw as much meat off of the bones of the American Dream as they can before the Big Dog of American Conservatism returns to Washington in January.

However, as fed up as I am, I always have hope.  My hope springs not from any political figure or political ideology, but from the One who created me and loves me, in spite of all my shortcomings.  This video of one of my favorite songs sums up what I’ve been trying to say.   God is good.  All the time.  May God bless you all.
