A KJ Rebuttal to Obama’s Farewell Address: “If I Were A Socialist U.S. President”

a-mess-nrd-600

“I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that’s a storybook, man.” – Joe Biden describing Barack Hussein Obama, February 8, 2007

Every story has an ending.

This one’s comes none too soon.

Foxnews.com reports that

Declaring “yes we did,” President Obama used his farewell address in Chicago Tuesday night to tout and defend his administration’s record of change over the last eight years — while voicing regrets about rising partisanship and frayed race relations as he prepares to transfer power next week to President-elect Donald Trump.

“It’s good to be home,” Obama said in his speech to thousands gathered at Chicago’s McCormick Place. “Tonight it’s my turn to say thanks.”

Obama used the speech to warn of an increasingly divided nation, saying “we’re not where we need to be, and all of us have more work to do” to solve racial and economic inequality in particular.

However, he told the crowd that after eight years as president, he still believes in “the beating heart of our American idea – our bold experiment in self government.”

“It’s why GIs gave their lives at Omaha Beach and Iwo Jima; Iraq and Afghanistan – and why men and women from Selma to Stonewall were prepared to give theirs as well,” he said.

Faced with the prospect of President-elect Donald Trump, who has repeatedly promised to undo much of Obama’s achievements, the president spent much of his speech defending his legacy.

“If I had told you eight years ago that America would reverse a great recession, reboot our auto industry, and unleash the longest stretch of job creation in our history,” he said, before listing off a series of other achievements. “You might have said our sights were set a little too high.”

When he mentioned his successor, the crowd booed but was quickly silenced by Obama. He chose not to attack Trump directly, but called for America to rediscover a sense of common purpose.

He gave a sign that he may follow this himself, by saying about plans to gut ObamaCare: “if anyone can put together a plan that is demonstrably better than the improvements we’ve made to our health care system – that covers as many people at less cost – I will publicly support it.”

Yet, while citing his achievements, Obama warned that particularly on racial and economic inequality, America’s democracy still faces serious threats. In addition to foreign threats from ISIS to Russia and China, he also warned about threats from home — including warning about efforts to label some people “more American than others.”

While he said there had been much progress on racial and economic inequality during his time in office, he said there was much work still to be done.

“We’re not where we need to be. All of us have more work to do. After all, if every economic issue is framed as a struggle between a hardworking white middle class and undeserving minorities, then workers of all shades will be left fighting for scraps while the wealthy withdraw further into their private enclaves,” he said.

The speech, which was attended by First Lady Michelle Obama and daughter Malia, was frequently interrupted by cheers and applause from the audience. When he thanked his family for their support, Obama was visibly emotional, and paused to wipe away tears.

Obama also used the speech to warn against a growing partisanship, which he says threatens American democracy, and risks ruining political debate.

“Increasingly, we become so secure in our bubbles that we accept only information, whether true or not, that fits our opinions, instead of basing our opinions on the evidence that’s out there,” he said.

But without some common baseline of facts; without a willingness to admit new information, and concede that your opponent is making a fair point, and that science and reason matter, we’ll keep talking past each other, making common ground and compromise impossible.”

Continuing on the theme of democracy, Obama issued a rallying cry to his supporters, saying: “If you’re tired of arguing with strangers on the internet, try to talk with one in real life.”

“If something needs fixing, then lace up your shoes and do some organizing. If you’re disappointed by your elected officials, grab a clipboard, get some signatures, and run for office yourself,” he said. “Show up. Dive in. Stay at it. Sometimes you’ll win. Sometimes you’ll lose.”

The Associated Press reported that Obama directed his team to craft an address that would feel “bigger than politics” and speak to all Americans — including those who voted for Trump.

His chief speechwriter, Cody Keenan, started writing it last month while Obama was vacationing in Hawaii.

The AP reports that former aides, including advisers David Axelrod and Robert Gibbs, were consulted on the speech.

As I contemplated how to respond to Obama’s Self-Appreciation Testimonial given in front of a hometown crowd last night, it dawned on me that I already had.

A while back, I wrote a blog describing what I would do, if “I were a Socialist U.S. President”.  As we begin Barack Hussein Obama’s last 10 days as President of these United States (Thank God.), I felt that it would be good to look back on Obama’s accomplishments” with the knowledge that Americans showed the world on November 8th that we have had enough of Obama’s type of “leadership”.

***In respectful honor and memory of the late, great Paul Harvey, an American Original, (September 4, 1918 – February 28, 2009)***

If I were a Socialist United States President…

I would begin to plant seeds during my Inaugural Address, concerning the disparity between the Haves and the Have-nots. In other words, I would intentionally begin to divide the nation through the use of Racial Animus and Class Warfare.

Also, during that address I would push for a National Healthcare System, regardless of the fact that such a monstrous entity has never worked, anywhere it has been tried.

I would preach about hope and change, but like all Marxists, I would be hoping to bring subjugation and looking to “radically change” a nation, all in the name of “Fairness and Equality”.

The first thing I would do, when I took office, would be to send money around the world, to finance abortions. In this way, I would show the world that there is a new boss in the United States, who wants to radically change the Shining City on a Hill into just another country.

Next, I would push for the passage of an outrageous spending bill that would actually be a cover for paying back political favors.

I would invite the already-sycophantic Main Stream Media to come to the White House for closed-door meetings, where I would tell them to “get with the program”, if they wanted to receive any news stories from this White House at all.

I would makes speeches about how marvelous a Government-run National Healthcare  System would be, making hollow promises like,

If you like your insurance, you can keep your insurance. if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor.

…all the while knowing that I was lying my hindquarters off.

Once I got my slaves in the Congress to pass this nation-changing National Healthcare Law, I would put the pedal to the metal and continuously push for other outrageous and expensive programs designed to grow the central government.

I would convince Americans that growing the central government is the only solution to a rapidly failing economy and that being unemployed and unable to provide for your family is actually a “fun-cation”.

And, while Americans were suffering through this Economic Depression, I would rant and rave about “Income Inequality”, while my family and I would take frequent vacations, costing the taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars, and throw lavish private parties at the White House, in a manner reminiscent of the old Soviet Union’s Politburo.

Realizing that the Heartland of America was still Conservative in nature, I would reach out to those Americans who believe themselves to be a mistreated minority. I would reach out to those on the fringes of society. Those Americans, who because of poor upbringing, poor education, or simply making bad decisions concerning their lives, now consider themselves deprived of the American Dream.

These people would compose about 47 percent of the population. They would be my core supporters, much like Nikolai Lenin and the Bolsheviks.

Having done a miserable job in my First Term as President, I would promise these Bolsheviks that if reelected, I would be their Santa Claus.

And, I would continue to blame my predecessor for the wretched state of the economy, even though, by now, it would be my responsibility.

Once I was reelected, there would be no stopping me. It would not matter to me what the popularity polls said, I would continue to claim that those who provide Americans with jobs were “the evil 1%” and identify their success in creating the Greatest Economic System in the World, as the “real reason” for the Economic Depression that America was in.

I would change the Moderate political stances which I “supposedly” held during the campaign for my first election as President, and show my true colors, following a political path pursuant to my true Far Left Radical Political Ideology.

Reverting back to the one job in my life that I was good at, that of being a “Community Organizer”, I would encourage an “Us Vs. Them” Racial Division in America, supporting out-of-control rioters over those who protect the Citizens of the United States, the Thin Blue Line, America’s Police Departments, because then, I could use the situation to create my own National Police Force.

I would alienate Conservative Christians living in America’s Heartland by vilifying them as “Bitter Clingers”, marginalizing them throughout my presidency, even to the point of lecturing them in my Easter Address, telling them to get off their “high horse”, basicially saying that the followers of Jeus Christ, the Son of God, are no better than the murderous followers of Mohammed, whose Ideological Brethren continue to murder Christians in the Middle East.

I would push for “gay marriage”,  demonizing Bible-believing Christians, who might oppose it as “bigots” and “haters” and I would voice my support for the legalization of marijuana.

Through redefining the definition of the family unit, and eliminating Christianity from everyday American Life, I will eliminate the “backbone” of the nation…the two main barriers that will keep me from radically changing America into a socialist nation.

Through pushing for the legalization of marijuana, I would succeed in dumbing down the population and eliminating their desire to succeed as individuals, making them even more subservient and reliant on the Almighty State for their very existence, thus creating a new “Proletariat”.

Regarding Foreign Policy, I would bow in deference to other world leaders, demonstrating to them and the rest of the world, that I do not believe that the United States of America, whom I am supposed to be the Biggest Advocate for, is exceptional in any way.

I would not negotiate with America’s Enemies from a position of strength. Instead, I would blindly trust those who have sworn to kill us, even if they are on the threshold of building a nuclear bomb, simply because I identify with their Political Ideology, which masquerades as a religion.

I would pull out of still turbulent areas in the Middle East, encouraging the Barbaric Forces of Radical Islam to move in and conquer the very cities where our Brightest and Best sacrificed their lives in service to America.

On the 70th Anniversary of D-Day, I would sit at a solemn International Memorial Service, smacking my gum like a cow chews his cud, as if I was behind the bench at a Chicago Bulls Basketball Game, dishonoring our fallen and enraging our allies.

In other words, I would embrace America’s Enemies, and alienate America’s Friends.

I would use the finest military in the world as a subject for Social Engineering Experiments, ending “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” and moving women into combat positions, even though their lack of physical strength would endanger the American Soldiers they are fighting beside.

Following this, I would  eventually allowing the “Transgendered” to serve in our Armed Forces.

I would remove God from the Armed Forces and forbid soldiers from speaking about Christ to others. I would also begin Military Training which would identify Evangelicals as “Terrorists”.

While I am at it, I would push for my wife to be able to place the military on a diet plan that is similar to the one which would already be failing in America’s Public Schools.

I would trade 5 Murderous Muslim Terrorist Generals, for one useless, traitorous, American Army Deserter, who was discharged in 2006 from the Coast Guard for Psychological Issues, who later converted to the Religious/Political Ideology of his Captors, and whose Father’s Youtube Account praised the same Radical Muslims and their Political Ideology which poses as a religion, just because I wish to make a Political Point about closing the prison in which the enemies of our country were being held.

I would use the Judicial System, The Department of Justice, the NSA, and  Internal Revenue Service as my Palace Guard, using Activist judges to overturn the will of the people and harassing political opposition through uncalled-for Tax Audits.

I would use unmanned drones and blimps for unwarranted surveillance on American Citizens.

I would push for Gun Confiscation, calling it “Gun Control”, in the “name of the children”, all the while supporting the murder of the unborn in their mothers’ wombs, because having a baby is “a punishment”.

Because, after all, as Vladimir Lenin said,

One man with a gun can control 100 without one.

I would imperiously announce that if Congress did not pass the laws that I wanted them to pass, I would go around them and rule by Executive Order.

I would open our Southern Borders, bypassing our immigration laws, encouraging millions of illegal aliens to enter our nation, including unaccompanied minors, spurred on by propaganda intentionally leaked to their Latin American Home Nations in support of this Mexican Munchkin Migration.

All the while, pushing Congress for “Immigration Reform”, i.e., “Amnesty”, in order to assure that my Political Party would hold onto their Political Power, in order to finish the intentional “Radical Change” of the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave.

And, if Congress refused to follow my wishes, I would attempt to grant Amnesty through “Executive Order”, bypassing the System of Checks and Balances that America’s Founding Fathers put into place, so long ago, in order to avoid a monarchy, such as they rebelled against.

I would blame others for my incompetency. I would portray myself as a victim of a Capitalist System and a Racist Ideology that was still prevalent in a nation that was too narrow-minded to allow me to lead them to a Socialist Paradise, even though my wife and I were worth millions or dollars, I was the President of the United States of America, and we took numerous vacations and went on “fact-finding missions” at the expense of the American Taxpayers.

Finally, if I were a Socialist U.S. President, I would desperately try to deflect any blame away from my political party and My Former Secretary of State, a lousy candidate, for losing the Presidency to a “rank outside, an American Businessman and Entrepreneur, a “Citizen Statesman”, if your will.

I would have my intelligence agencies publicize a story that Vladimir Putin, a man who believes me to be nothing but a wuss and to be a poor excuse for a leader of a country, to have used cyber-technology to somehow influence the election. Later, as more information would be revealed, I would be forced to admit that “Russian Interference” actually did not have any influence over the election. Then, I would park American Tanks on the Russian Border, simply to prove what a “tough guy” I was.

…In summation, America has suffered for 8 years under a Former Community Organizer who suffers from a massive ego fueled by a condition which I have dubbed “Educated Beyond His Intelligence Syndrome.” Obama firmly believes that he is the most intelligent person in any room which he enters.

Obama has been a miserable failure.

Joe Biden’s description of Obama as being “clean and articulate” proved to be a poor substitution for having a spine and being a capable leader.

Until He Comes,

My 2,500 Post: Freedom, Responsibility, and Setting the Stage for the Return of American Exceptionalism

On this, the occasion of my 2500 post, as I have done every day since April of 2010, I would like to share a few of my thoughts. But first, please allow me to run some numbers by you.

In a new poll by Rasmussenreports.com, it was revealed that

Most voters share the views of the president and the party coming to power, but Republicans identify a lot more with Donald Trump than with the GOP Congress.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 53% of all Likely U.S. Voters identify with the GOP team: 37% feel Trump’s views are closest to their own when it comes to the major issues facing the country, while another 16% feel most closely in sync with the average Republican member of Congress. Thirty-seven percent (37%) say the views of the average Democratic member of Congress are closest to their own. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

Among Republicans, however, 63% say that Trump’s views are closest to their own when it comes to the major issues, while only 27% say that of the views of the average Republican member of Congress. Among Democrats, 72% identify with the average Congress member from their party, while just 16% think Trump’s views are closest to theirs.

Just a month before Election Day, 51% of GOP voters still felt that their party’s leaders didn’t want Trump to be president, although that was down from 66% four months earlier.

…The survey of 1,000 likely Voters was conducted on January 3-4, 2017 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC. See methodology.

More than half of all voters feel comfortable with the prospect of one party controlling both the Executive and Legislative branches of government, as Republicans will do when Trump enters the White House on January 20.

Among voters not affiliated with either major political party, 34% say their views most closely match Trump’s, while 16% are more aligned with the average GOP representative. Only 29% feel closer to the average Democrat in Congress, but 20% of these voters are undecided.

The Republican team of Trump and Congress earn majority support in most demographic categories, but the president-elect is the one voters are most likely to agree with.

Women, middle-aged voters and blacks lean more heavily than the others in the direction of the average Democrat in Congress.

Among voters who Strongly Disapprove of the job President Obama is doing, 76% say Trump’s views are closest to their own, compared to only 18% who say the same of the average GOP member of Congress.

Voters aren’t sure if the new Congress will be an improvement on the last one, but most want Congress to cooperate with Trump as much as possible.  Fifty-four percent (54%) think major legislation to improve the country is likely to be passed during Trump’s first 100 days in office.

But only 48% of voters are confident that Trump and Congress will work together to do what’s bestfor the American people.

House Speaker Paul Ryan has gone from publicly criticizing Trump when he was the GOP’s presidential nominee to enthusiastically embracing him as president-elect. Following the election, Ryan is much more popular with his fellow Republicans and is better liked by all voters than any other congressional leader of either major party.

Last August, 47% of GOP voters sad their party should be more like Trump than Ryan. Thirty-six percent (36%) felt it should be more like Ryan.

Seventy-six percent (76%) of GOP voters told Rasmussen Reports last March that Republicans in Congress have lost touch with their party’s base. That’s consistent with Republican voter attitudes for years but was the highest finding since we first asked this question just after Election Day in November 2008.  Democrats have always been much more enthusiastic about their congressional representatives.

What the survey shows is that after 8 years of the presidency of Barack Hussein Obama, America is a divided nation.

Of course , this is no surprise to anyone who has lived through it and who has been paying attention.

However, what the survey also shows is that more people are thinking for themselves and as I have written in the past, Americans are fed up with the Washingtonian Status Quo.

There is an Old English curse that wishes,

May you live in interesting times.

Well, that is where America finds itself today.

The turbulence which we have experienced as Americans these past eight years, has, in part, been caused by the apathy of some of our population.

When the Founding Fathers established this country, they meant for Americans to be free, and to experience the blessings of Liberty.

In today’s American Popular Culture it has become apparent to this Christian American Conservative that there seems to be a pretty large segment of our population who, during the last 8 years, leading up to last November 8th, did not understand what the Founding Fathers meant by the word “Liberty”.

Liberty is freedom with responsibility.

Nowadays, it is quite evident that a lot of Americans are not willing to accept responsibility for their own actions. They feel like they can do what they want regardless of the emotional or physical harm that they may do to others. They believe that that is one of their rights as an American citizen.

These selfish individuals have no concept of the price which generations before them have paid for the American Freedom which they are now enjoying…and abusing.

There are others who shirk responsibility because they feel like their level of intellect frees them from that “burden”.

That is what we are experiencing right now as a nation.

Modern American Liberals are still in shock from the victory of Donald J. Trump in last November’s presidential election. Their overblown egos and undersized medulla oblongatas will not allow them to accept responsibility for their overestimation of the popularity of both a lousy candidate and their political ideology among the American populace.

Here’s the thing: not only did Liberals underestimate the intelligence and the American Individualism of voters…they underestimated the wisdom of our Founding Fathers, who put the Electoral College in place to prevent exactly what they attempted to do.

The Presidential Election of 2016 was not decided in the isolated Metropolitan Areas on the East and West Coasts from which the Liberals have looked down from their lofty heights upon us “ignorant rubes” in America’s Heartland for the last 8 years.

Trump won because he spoke directly to the American people through bypassing the Liberal Propaganda Arm known as the Main Stream Media via the use of a modern technology available to all of us: the Social Media.

As I dictate my thoughts into my Samsung Galaxy S7 cellphone, it has been announced that President elect Donald J. Trump has succeeded in convincing the owner of the Alibaba Corporation, Jack Ma, into bringing 1 million jobs to America.

And, Trump’s  Inauguration as President of the United States of America is still 11 days away.

My wonderful wife tells me that I always see the best in people. Well, boys and girls, it’s hard not to see the good work that Trump and Vice–President-elect, Mike Pence, have done since they won the election.

I can’t wait to see what they going to accomplish in office.

So, for those of you still looking for a scapegoat or some kind of excuse as to why Donald J. Trump was elected President, get over it.

As the poll showed, the majority of Americans want him to succeed as President.

Am I optimistic? Sure I am.

As John Wayne once said,

…we have to be optimistic.  What else would we be if you lose optimism?”

A Modern American Liberal?

*** For all of you who have read my posts all these years, thank you so very much. Your support means more to me than I can ever express. May God bless you all abundantly.***

Dear Hollywood: Shut Up and Act!

TheHill.com reports that

Celebrities, activists and others gave an emotional goodbye to President Obama in a new video by the White House titled “Yes We Can: Your Most Memorable Moments from the Obama Presidency.”

The video features figures including Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hanks, Jerry Seinfeld and Ellen DeGeneres, all sharing some of their favorite moments with the president.

“I never cried before, from an election result,” singer John Legend says in the video.

“When I was at the U.N. and I heard our president say that climate change is the most important issue facing, not only this generation but also future generations, it was inspiring,” DiCaprio said.

“The CVS experience with Michelle (Obama) was pretty cool and dancing with Barack at his birthday party. And he’s a good dancer. He should not get any flack for that — you’re a good dancer,” DeGeneres said.

Aside from celebrities, the video also included children’s reactions to Obama’s presidency as well as moments they enjoyed.

The video comes as the Obamas wrap up their time in the White House. Wait, boys and girls…the worship service at the Church of Hollywood is just getting started. It is time now for the sermon…

Breitbart.com reports that

Meryl Streep accepted the Cecil B. DeMille Lifetime Achievement Award at Sunday night’s Golden Globes — and used her acceptance speech to repeatedly attack President-elect Donald Trump in what was one of the night’s most pointed political statements.
The three-time Oscar-winner began her speech by noting that Hollywood is the most “vilified” segment of American society following Donald Trump’s victory.

“Hollywood is crawling with outsiders and foreigners. And if we kick them all out, you’ll have nothing to watch but football and Mixed Martial Arts, which are not the arts,” she said.

Streep said Trump’s mocking of disabled New York Times reporter Serge Kovaleski was the “performance” that most “stunned” her.

“There was nothing good about it, but it did its job,” the actress said. “It kind of broke my heart when I saw it, and I still can’t get it out my head because it wasn’t in a movie, it was in real life. That instinct to humiliate when it’s modeled by someone in a public platform, it filters down into everyone’s life because it gives permission for others to do the same.”

“Disrespect invites disrespect, violence incites violence,” Streep said.

Streep challenged a “principled press” to stand up to Trump; “to hold power to hold power to account, to call to the carpet for every outrage.

Streep called on Hollywood to support the Committee to Protect Journalists, “because we’re going to need them going forward — and they’ll need us to safeguard the truth.”

“Take your broken heart, make it into art,” Streep concluded, quoting the late actress Carrie Fisher.

Those “celebrities” on the Left of the Political Spectrum who voted for Hillary Clinton to be our next President of the United States of America, continue to throw the longest temper tantrum over the results of one of the biggest upsets in an American Presidential Election that the world has ever seen.

These self-proclaimed activists, are making a lie out of the claim that they have made for years that they are the most tolerant…and “gifted” among us.

In fact, these sore losers remind me of the hysterically sobbing children that you hear in every Walmart across the country.

It’s not that those children are crying because they are physically hurt. Just like these Hollywood Liberals, they’re crying because they did not get their way.

This epic meltdown by those who are paid handsomely to entertain us is a direct result of an isolated ignorance of average Americans’ desire to rid ourselves of those in the Halls of Power who told us repeatedly that they knew what was best for us and “who we were”, while their actual mission was to turn America into a Third-World Barrio in their quest to make us a Socialist Paradise.

All during the Presidential Campaign, the Democratic Party, along with those in “Showbiz”, through their minions in the Main Stream Media, assured us that it was a foregone conclusion that Hillary Clinton would be our 45th president.

There is a reason for that.

The Liberal Elite have always believed that our country revolves around the big metropolitan areas in the Northeast and in California. They have always looked down their noses at what they derisively call “Flyover Country”, the same area that many of us call the Heartland of America or simply “home”.

This meltdown which promises to last way past Inauguration Day, is a reaction caused by their own unbridled and unsupported arrogance.

Just like their fellow Modern American Liberals who run Democratic Party, the disconnected “dancing monkeys” in Tinsel Town and the Big Apple never saw Trump’s victory coming.

At this point, all their incessant national temper tantrum is doing, is making them look like fools.

I don’t remember any of us average Americans asking them for their opinion as to how we should vote, do you?

Perhaps, if they got their noses out of the air and actually associated with their families and former friends “back home”, instead of kissing each other’s hindquarters at the latest Premiere or “social event”, perhaps they and reality would not have taken divergent paths, and they would conduct themselves and  comport themselves like the Legendary American Actor, John Wayne, who once said,

…I always thought I was a liberal but I came up terribly surprised when I found I was a right wing conservative extremist…I have always listened to every human being I’ve ever met about how I should feel.  But this so-called new liberal group… they never listen to your point of view and they make a decision as to what you think and they’re articulate enough and in control of enough of the press to force that image out for the average person.  For some reason, maybe it’s these pictures, they have not been able to do that with me…it hasn’t affected my career in popularity in spite of the fact that they’ve tried to make them do it.  There isn’t a hell of a lot we can do to change human behavior.  We keep making laws to try to change human behavior but we can’t do it…You’re being conned into Keynesianism and socialism now but it isn’t going to stop the selfishness of human behavior.  It isn’t going to stop the greed.  If you take $20 and give a dollar to every son of a b!tch in the room, you come back a year later one of the b@st@rds will have most of the money.  It’s just human nature.  We’re never gonna whip it with a lot of laws.

As communication gets better and you make people conscious of somebody in trouble, starving or something like that, the average person will help…I think there are people who try to affect a thinking where they know more than some other son of a b!tch and try to pull a false impression on what human nature is.  We’ve proven we go back to hope at the first opportunity…and bam they’re out there ready to grab it.  So we are optimistic; we have to be optimistic.  What else would we be if you lose optimism?”

Well, Duke…I guess when you lose optimism, you sound like a bunch of spoiled brats.

Like you so eloquently said,

Life is tough, but it’s tougher if you’re stupid.

Today’s “Stars” should have listened to you.

Until He Comes,

KJ

Much Ado About Nothing: “The Russians Did It! The Russians Did it!” No, They Didn’t. AMERICANS DID.

post-election-options-nrd-600-2

“The search for a scapegoat is the easiest of all hunting expeditions.” ― Dwight D. Eisenhower

CNSNews.com reported yesterday that

The official unclassified report that the Director of National Intelligence released yesterday giving the “analytic assessment” of U.S. intelligence agencies on “Russian activities and intentions in recent U.S. elections” states that the Department of Homeland Security assessed that Russia did not target or compromise systems used in counting votes in U.S. elections.
This comports with a statement DNI James Clapper made Thursday in the Senate Armed Services Committee–and which CNSNews.com reported on Thursday.

“They did not change any vote tallies or anything of that sort,” Clapper said of the Russians during the committee hearing.

One of the written report’s “key judgments” states: “Russian intelligence obtained and maintained access to elements of multiple US state or local electoral boards. DHS assesses that the types of systems Russian actors targeted or compromised were not involved in vote tallying.”

The report released by the DNI uses bold type to emphasize the second sentence of this “key judgment:”

The report goes on to repeat that while Russia “accessed elements of multiple state and local electoral boards,” the Department of Homeland Security did not see Russia “targeting or compromising” systems involved in vote counting.

The report said:

“Russian Cyber Intrusions Into State and Local Electoral Boards. Russian intelligence accessed elements of multiple state or local electoral boards. Since early 2014, Russian intelligence has researched US electoral processes and related technology and equipment.

“–DHS assesses that the types of systems we observed Russian actors targeting or compromising are not involved in vote tallying.”

The report provided an assessment of the extent of Russian “cyber espionage” of “U.S. political organizations” during the election—which the intelligence community believes included not only the Democratic National Committee, but also primary campaigns, think tanks and lobbying groups.

The report said:

“Cyber Espionage Against US Political Organizations. Russia’s intelligence services conducted cyber operations against targets associated with the 2016 US presidential election, including targets associated with both major US political parties.

“We assess Russian intelligence services collected against the US primary campaigns, think tanks, and lobbying groups they viewed as likely to shape future US policies. In July 2015, Russian intelligence gained access to Democratic National Committee (DNC) networks and maintained that access until at least June 2016.

Furthermore, a Fox News Poll, released December 17, 2016 states that

A majority of American voters think there was no real effect on the presidential race from Russian cyber-attacks, according to a new Fox News Poll.

CIA officials reportedly believe Russian hackers meddled in the election to help Donald Trump beat Hillary Clinton.  Yet 59 percent of voters believe the hacking didn’t make a difference.

The poll finds 32 percent think Russia did help Trump in the election, while just one percent says the cyber-attacks aided Clinton.

Okay. All of this begs the question…

Why are Obama and all of his sycophantic followers, from the Washington Elite to 30-year old Internet Trolls, living in their Mom’s Basement, still feverishly pushing such a laughingly false excuse for the horrible loss they endured in the 2016 Presidential Election?

Is it because

a) They are all living in an alternate reality?

b) They all saw nude pictures of Rosie O’Donnell on Facebook and experienced a psychotic break as a result of the trauma?

c) They cannot believe that their political ideology and the candidate which they chose to espouse it, was so emphatically rejected by the Electoral Majority of the American People.

If you chose “c”, you answered correctly.

If you even thought about answer “b”, grab some mind bleach…STAT!

Since I began writing these daily missives in April of 2010, I have always been fascinated by the fact that Modern American Liberals unfailingly overestimate their own intelligence and the acceptance of the American People of their hubris and didactic condescension.

They themselves have never accepted the fact that Liberalism is the minority political ideology in the United States of America and no amount of push polls, manufactured statistics, photo ops, or bald-faced political lies and chicanery can change that.

On November 8th, 2016, average Americans, who had become fed up, after 8 years of poor leadership, non-existent stewardship, empty promises, a dwindling American Work Force, and a Federal Government who represented themselves and not the will and wishes of average Americans, stood up on their hind legs and did something about it.

To say that blaming Clinton’s defeat on the Russians strains credulity, is an understatement.

Nobody here in “Flyover Country” believes that garbage…especially since it comes from the same liars who told us that the Benghazi Massacre was caused by a video.

WE, THE AMERICAN PEOPLE, WERE RESPONSIBLE FOR HILLARY CLINTON LOSING THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION.

YOU LOST, LIBERALS. GET OVER IT AND MOVE ON.

FOR OUR COUNTRY’S SAKE.

Obama’s Last Job Report: A Record 95, 102,000 Americans Gone From Labor Force. “Hope and Change”, My Hindquarters

econotalk-nrd800

…John’s last-minute economic plan does nothing to tackle the number-one job facing the middle class, and it happens to be, as Barack says, a three-letter word: jobs, j-o-b-s, jobs. – Democratic Party Vice-Presidential Candidate Joe Biden, October 15, 2008

Now, over 8 years later, a seven-letter word describes Obama’s Record at making things possible for employers to create actual, non-governmental full-time jobs for Americans:

FAILURE

CNSNews.com reports that

Barack Obama’s presidency began with a record number of Americans not in the labor force, and it’s ending the same way.

The final jobs report of the Obama presidency, released Friday, shows that the number of Americans not in the labor force has increased by 14,573,000 (18.09 percent) since January 2009, when Obama took office, continuing a long-term trend that began well before Obama was sworn in.
In December, according to the Labor Department’s Bureau of Labor Statistics, a record 95,102,000 Americans were not in the labor force, 47,000 more than in November; and the labor force participation rate was 62.7 percent, a tenth of a point higher than in November.

The participation rate dropped to a 38-year low of 62.4 percent on Obama’s watch, in September 2015. It was only 3-tenths of a point higher than that last month.

People over age 16 who are no longer working or even looking for work, for whatever reason (retirement, school, personal preference, or gave up), are counted as not participating in the labor force.

When President Obama took office in January 2009, 80,529,000 Americans were not in the labor force, the highest number on record. That number rose steadily during his two terms, reaching a record 95,055,000 in November 2016, then setting another record (95,102,000) in December.

BLS said the December unemployment rate increased a tenth of a point to 4.7 percent, well below the Obama-era high of 10 percent. Last month, a record 152,111,000 Americans were counted as employed, up 63,000 from November; and the number of unemployed stood at 7,529,000, an increase of 120,000 from the prior month.

But people who stop looking for a job are no longer counted as unemployed.

In an interview with a Chicago reporter yesterday, Obama said he has done “an enormous amount” to create greater economic opportunity for Americans.

“I took an economy that was about to go into a Great Depression, and we’ve now had a little over six years of straight economic job growth, an unemployment rate that’s down below 5 percent, and incomes that have gone up and poverty that has gone down.”

Obama also conceded that “there are still folks out there who struggle and communities that are still depressed.” He called it an “ongoing battle.”

“We have to continue to work to make sure that kids are getting the best education they can, that jobs are being located so that people in need can access them, and that’s going to be something that I suspect we’ll all be working on, and folks will still be working on after I’m gone.”

During Obama’s two terms in office, the number of employed Americans reached its lowest point – 138,013,000 – in December 2009. Eight years later, in December 2017, 14,098,000 Americans have been added to the employment rolls.

The government collects payroll taxes from Americans who work, and some of that money is spent on government programs that support people who do not work. So the more who work, the better for the economy.

In December, the nation’s civilian noninstitutionalized population, consisting of all people age 16 or older who were not in the military or an institution, reached 254,742,000.  Of those, 159,640,000 participated in the labor force by either holding a job or actively seeking one.

The 159,640,000 who participated in the labor force equaled 67.3 percent of the 254,742,000 civilian noninstitutionalized population.

According to BLS, total nonfarm payroll employment rose by a lackluster 156,000 in December. Over the past 3 months, job gains have averaged 165,000 per month.

Among the major worker groups, the unemployment rates for adult men (4.4 percent), adult women (4.3 percent), teenagers (14.7 percent), Whites (4.3 percent), Blacks (7.8 percent), Asians (2.6 percent), and Hispanics (5.9 percent) showed little change in December.

The number of long-term unemployed (those jobless for 27 weeks or more) was essentially unchanged at 1.8 million in December and accounted for 24.2 percent of the unemployed. In 2016, the number of long-term unemployed declined by 263,000.

Who are these people who are no longer a part of America’s Work Force?

They are average Americans like you and me, who, in their very real despair, have given up trying to find a job, choosing instead to work under the radar as handymen or flea market vendors. some not even working at all, sitting at home and letting Uncle Sugar take care of them.

When you ask Lliberals about this unacceptable situation, they will respond to you with charts and graphs designed to buttress their opinion that Obama has actually moed America’s Stagnant Economy forward.

And, if that argument doesn’t work, their pre-programmed response is

But…but…Booosh!!!

Quite frankly, the reason that Obama Presidency did not move our economy forward, like President Ronald Reagan did, is because Obama was more concerned about growing the Central Government, than he was about growing American Production by freeing the job creators from punitive tax rates, in order to encourage the growth that will revitalize our economy.

That is why I once spent 6 hours on a Saturday, on the phone with Punjab from Calcutta about my Comcast Cable Box, which was on the fritz.

But, I digress…

Make no mistake, granting amnesty to millions of unskilled, underage illegal aliens would have done and still will do nothing for the health of our economy.

This action would simply provide future voters for the Democrat Party, which is now firmly in the control of the Far Left. If Obama grants amnesty before he leaves office, he would be putting a further strain on our economy, as all of these “little rascals”, would rely on their new Uncle Sugar for their “daily bread”.

A popular Liberal Defense that was going around during Obama’s Presidency was the claim that Reagan actually had a bigger Federal Government than Obama.

The funny part is: It’s true.

It was larger because President Reagan, through his sound Economic Policy, actually increased tax revenues.

American Production rose, therefore,  TAX REVENUES INCREASED.

Yes, “Trickle-Down Economics, “trickled up”, allowing for a well-funded, strong American Military and Administration.

You see, boys and girls, that’s the secret of American Exceptionalism,am a concept that Obama always gave lip service to, but, clearly, never  believed in.

For America to proper, we must remain free. For America to remain free, we must be prosperous.

American Capitalism is the engine which drives a strong, vibrant economy.  American Capitalism is the result of the courageous Entrepreneurial Spirit of American Citizens. The same “Can Do” attitude which led to Western Expansion and triumphs against those before-mentioned enemies, foreign and domestic.

The current state of the Shining City Upon a Hill can be summarized thusly:

America was formed by men seeking FREEDOM. She grew and prospered because of an indomitable will and spirit forged through the Refiner’s Fire, guided by the common-sense words, inscribed in our Constitution, and administered through a Constitutional Republic. Our nation’s largesse and strength comes through the actions and character of her citizens, not through the usurpation of power by professional politicians, who has long since lost touch with their constituency.

Obama’s attempt to “radically change” our nation into a Third World Barrio was met with resistance, not because of professional politicians, but, because of the defiance of the American People, who love their country.

It was this Defiant Spirit which caused Americans to elect American Entrepreneur and Businessman Donald J. Trump as our 45th President.

And, President-elect Trump recognizes whom he owes his Presidency to.

On November 8th, we proved that America’s Heritage of God and Country is still alive and well in the hearts and minds of the overwhelming majority of the citizens in this country, even those who have dropped out of the workforce.

A President’s role, if he wants to be viewed positively as a world leader, is to work to restore America to a position of strength, both both in foreign and domestic policy.

President-elect Trump understands the mandate that he has been given and is already serving Americans by making deals which will help to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN .

He understands that it all starts with the Engine That Drives Our Country.

And, President-elect Trump already has his hand on the throttle.

Oh…and one more thing…

The Russians did not stop Hillary from continuing Obama’s “Legacy”.

FED UP AVERAGE AMERICANS DID!!!

Obama’s Legacy and the “Chicago 4”

untitled-98

“Nobody’s more hopeful than me. I’m Mr. Hope when it comes to these issues. I’ve said from the start that we are not as divided as we seem. And I think we’re gonna solve it,” – President Barack Hussein Obama, “A Townhall Discussion on Race Relations”, July 14, 2016

Think again, Scooter.

Foxnews.com reports that

Hate crime and aggravated battery charges were filed Thursday against four African American suspects who police say tortured a mentally challenged white man for as long as 48 hours, while shouting racial and anti-Donald Trump slurs — and part of the attack was streamed on Facebook Live.

“Let me be very clear: The actions in that video are reprehensible,” Chicago Police Supt. Eddie Johnson told reporters during a news conference.

The suspects — Jordan Hill, 18, Tesfaye Cooper, 18, Brittany Covington, 18, and Tanishia Covington, 24 — were set to appear in Central Bond Court on Friday afternoon.

Police on Thursday filled in details from the case. The 18-year-old man’s parents had dropped him off at a McDonald’s in suburban Streamwood last weekend to hang out with Hill, who took him in a van to see the rest of the group in western Chicago, investigators said, adding that the man didn’t seem to know Hill had just stolen the van.

The man’s parents apparently thought he’d be spending the night with friends, according to police. They said he and Hill had gone to school together in Aurora, although they didn’t see each other frequently.

Instead, investigators claimed the group kidnapped the man, keeping him tied up for hours or more with his mouth taped shut in an apartment on the city’s west side. The video showed him cowering in a corner while someone yelled “F— white people!” and “F— Donald Trump!” At one point, the man was held at knifepoint and told to curse the president-elect.

The video also showed the man being kicked and hit repeatedly, while his scalp was cut. The group apparently forced him to drink water from a toilet.

The worst of the attack had started out as a “play fight” that ultimately escalated, police said. They told reporters the man slept in the van during the ordeal.

The man finally escaped on Monday after a neighbor on a lower floor of the apartment building complained about the noise and threatened to call the cops, police said. They told reporters the suspects barged into the neighbor’s apartment, giving the man an opportunity to get out.

The four also face burglary charges in connection to the break-in.

A police officer finally encountered the disoriented man walking down a street on Monday wearing only an inside-out tank top, jean shorts and sandals, despite the frigid weather. The officer said it was clear the man had been bloodied and battered.

Police became aware on Tuesday of the heinous video footage, FOX32 reported.

White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest wouldn’t say if he thought the incident was a hate crime, but did discuss the callous nature of the crime.

“They do demonstrate a level of depravity that is an outrage to a lot of Americans,” Earnest said. “I have not spoken to the president but I’m confident he would be angered by the images depicted.”

The suspects could be heard saying they wanted the video to go viral.

They now face a bevy of charges.

Hill was charged with aggravated kidnapping, hate crime, aggravated unlawful restraint, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, robbery, residential burglary; Cooper was charged with aggravated kidnapping, hate crime, aggravated unlawful restraint, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and residential burglary; Brittany Covington was charged with aggravated kidnapping, hate crime, aggravated unlawful restraint, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and residential burglary; Tanishia Covington was charged with aggravated kidnapping, hate crime, aggravated unlawful restraint and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

Hill is from Carpentersville and the others are Chicago residents.

If somebody were to ask me what I believe that Legacy of the Presidential reign of Barack Hussein Obama was, I believe that one of the first things that I would show them is the picture of that young man beaten bloody by a bunch of thugs.

Ever since Obama got into office, all I have heard from him is the Rhetoric of Racial Division and Class Warfare.

It reminds me of all the historical conflicts which I used to read about, during the course in college which I took, titled “The Rhetoric of Social Protest“.

Karl Marx knew long ago that all you needed to do to touch the heart of the common man was to convince him of a shared struggle.

Vladimir Lenin took this a step further, by using the concept of a shared struggle to convince the Bolsheviks to help him overthrow the Czar of Russia and murder him and his family during the Russian Revolution.

Forgive me for stating the obvious, but fiery rhetoric spoken by a national leader has consequences.

President Barack Hussein Obama is as responsible for what has happened to Race Relations in America, as any thug wannabe in any city.

However, he is not alone in his responsibility.

Every race-baiter, local & national, who have fanned the flames of racial hatred, has the blood of any innocent person, police and civilians alike, slain in the name of Racial Division.

Do you remember when one half of the “Justice Brothers”, the “Reverend” Al Sharpton, led a march in New York City, capitalizing on the deaths of two of Michael Brown and Earl Garner?

During the march, the protesters chanted

What do we want? Dead Cops!

Somehow, America’s Professional Race-Baiters, from the Community Organizer-in-Chief, Barack Hussein Obama, on down, twisted the facts to make it America’s Law Enforcement Officers’ Fault that two thugs got themselves killed in altercations with police officers.

What ever happened to personal responsibility?

President Ronald Reagan once said,

There are no constraints on the human mind, no walls around the human spirit, no barriers to our progress except those we ourselves erect.

Compare it to these words:

It’s not to make excuses for that fact — although black folks do interpret the reasons for that in a historical context. They understand that some of the violence that takes place in poor black neighborhoods around the country is born out of a very violent past in this country, and that the poverty and dysfunction that we see in those communities can be traced to a very difficult history. – President Barack Hussein Obama, 7/19/2014

President Obama, for his own political reasons, reinforces, at every opportunity, the self-fulfilling prophecy that the Black Community is still shackled and limited in their freedom.

Which is an ironic statement, considering, as a Black man, that he presently holds the position of President of the most powerful country on the face of the Earth.

On November 25th of 2014, The Daily Caller reported that

Retired neurosurgeon and potential GOP 2016 candidate Ben Carson believes race relations in America, as a whole, have “gotten worse” under President Barack Obama’s leadership, saying he should take a ”balanced, objective look at things” instead of invoking the race card.

Carson made the comments to conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt Tuesday night.

“I actually believe that things were better before this president was elected,” Carson told Hewitt, “and I think that things have gotten worse because of his unusual emphasis on race.”

“Can you explain more? What do you mean by that?” asked Hewitt. “How did they get worse, and how did he contribute to it?”

“Well, for instance, in the incident with Henry Louis Gates, Skip Gates and him calling out the police, and you know, how they always do this kind of thing, and the Trayvon Martin case, you know, if I had a son, this is what he would look like, rather than trying to take the balanced, objective look at things, and then, you know, what’s happened here,” responded Carson.

“And then the way, which really irritates me to some degree, the way he and a bunch of progressives manipulate, particularly minority communities, to make them feel that they are victims. And of course if you think you’re a victim, you are a victim,” Carson continued.

As I have related before, back in High School, during the 1974-1975 school year, I was a Sophomore Commissioner on the Student Council with a fellow named James. James was one of those students who were bused to our school. He went on to play football and run track. More importantly, James went on to have a 4.5 GPA, graduate high school as Valedictorian, make a 32 on his ACT, and receive a full scholarship to Harvard, and later, went on to Johns Hopkins Medical School. James worked hard and he achieved.

Millions of other Black Americans have, as well.

The current race-baiting and racially-based pandering by the President, his Administration, and all those who profit from it, locally and nationally, dishonors those who have achieved and has constrained those who might otherwise achieve.

I remember, as a 9 year old in Memphis, Tennessee, watching my parents’ black and white television as the National Guard was called into action on the night that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated.

I remember after that Civil Defense Announcement that President Lyndon Johnson come on national television to make the announcement of Dr. King’s death. I remember a feeling of helplessness and of fear, as a nine-year-old, that I had not felt before.

It wasn’t just the fact that we were living in Midtown Memphis, that made me afraid.

It was the fact of the out-of-control violence itself, that caused my consternation.

And now, all these years later, I have the same feelings tugging at my gut. It’s not because I can’t take care of myself, trust me, I can.It is because, those leaders, who have sworn to protect American Citizens, up in our nation’s capital and in cities across America, have skirted that responsibility, choosing to fan the flames of Racial Division, promising to “share the wealth” in the name of “Racial Equality”.

Meanwhile, ever since 2013, Black Youth Unemployment (16-19) remains at a rate 393% higher than everyone else’s in this stagnant economy.

…Even with George Soros hiring Black Lives Matter last summer to protest at Donald Trump Rallies.

So, to summarize, as the man who was supposed to be America’s first Post-Racial President leaves office, Racial Division is at an all-time high.

Obama did not build a bridge between the races, as was promised by his sycophants. He blew the existing one up.

Obama Releasing 20 More Radical Islamists From Gitmo Before Inauguration Day

gitmo

Isn’t the definition of stupidity doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result?

Foxnews.com reports that

Four Gitmo detainees are slated to be transferred to Saudi Arabia in the next 24 hours, the first of the final wave of up to 20 transfers expected before Inauguration Day, two U.S. officials tell Fox News.

The identities of the four detainees are not immediately known.

The transfers are proceeding despite renewed opposition from President-elect Donald Trump, who tweeted on Tuesday: “There should be no further releases from Gitmo. These are extremely dangerous people and should not be allowed back onto the battlefield.”

The Pentagon said Gitmo transfers would continue over Trump’s objection.

“There is one commander in chief at a time and the secretary of Defense will continue to carry out his responsibilities as he sees appropriate,” said Pentagon Press Secretary Peter Cook in response to Trump’s tweet.

There are 59 Gitmo detainees remaining.  Roughly 20 are expected to be transferred before Trump is sworn in later this month.

Saudi Arabia received detainees most recently in April, when the Obama administration transferred nine to the country, including an alleged bodyguard of Usama Bin Laden. All nine detainees were linked to Al Qaeda.

U.S. officials say 30 percent of released detainees are suspected of returning to the battlefield.

Trump’s nominee to run the Department of Homeland Security, retired Marine Gen. John Kelly, told Pentagon reporters in January that all remaining Gitmo detainees were “bad boys.”

“Some of them were more effective in being bad boys than others,” he said.

When Barack Hussein Obama ascended to the throne of the Regime, he promised to close Guantanamo Bay, in acquiescence to the wishes of the clown car known as the United Nations and Obama’s donors…err…I mean, friends….err…I mean, fellow Muslims…umm…let me just say that he was trying to appease Middle Eastern Muslims and quiet their claims of torture going on at Gitmo.

On 22 January 2009, two days after being sworn in as the new U.S. president, Barack Obama signed several Executive Orders covering the detainees at Guantanamo Bay, interrogation techniques, and CIA secret detention sites. Summaries of these executive orders, as provided by the White House, are provided below.

1. Executive Order regarding Guantanamo Bay detainees:

This Order requires closure of the Guantanamo detention center no later than one year from the date of the Order. Closure of the facility is the ultimate goal but not the first step. The Order establishes a review process with the goal of disposing of the detainees before closing the facility. The Order sets up an immediate review to determine if it is possible to transfer detainees to third countries, consistent with national security. If detainees cannot be transferred, there will be a second review to determine if a prosecution is possible and in what forum. If there are detainees who cannot be transferred or prosecuted, the review will examine the lawful options for dealing with them. The Order directs the Secretary of State to seek international cooperation aimed at achieving the transfers of detainees; directs the Secretary of Defense to halt all military tribunals until the review can be completed; and requires that the conditions of confinement at Guantanamo comply with Common Article 3 of the Geneva Conventions and all other applicable laws.

2. Executive Order regarding Detainee Policy:

This Order creates a Special Task Force to consider the policy options for apprehension, detention, trial, transfer, or release of detainees. The Special Task Force must submit its report to President Obama within 180 days of the date of the order.

3. Executive Order regarding Interrogation:

This Order revokes an earlier Executive Order (No. 13440) issued by President G.W. Bush replacing it with the requirement that all interrogations of detainees in armed conflict, by any government agency, follow the U.S. Army Field Manual interrogation guidelines. It further prohibits reliance on any Department of Justice or other legal advice concerning interrogation that was issued between September 11, 2001 and January 20, 2009.

The Order requires all departments and agencies to provide the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) access to detainees in a manner consistent with the Department of Defense regulations and practice.

Finally, this Order creates a Special Task Force to review the U.S. Army Field Manual interrogation guidelines in reference to the CIA’s methods. This Special Task Force will also look at rendition and other transfer policies to ensure the U.S. policies and practices comply with all obligations and are sufficient to ensure that individuals do not face torture and cruel treatment if transferred.

Well, as with the rest of Petulant President Pantywaist’s brilliant plans, chicken salad eventually turned into chicken…well…you know.

In an op ed posted in the Wall Street Journal one week ago Monday, Rep. Ed Royce (R-CA), Chair of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, relayed the following disturbing information…

“At a March hearing, the administration’s special envoys for Guantanamo Bay closure admitted for the first time that as many as 12 former Gitmo detainees have returned to the terrorist battlefield and killed Americans…According to the office of the director of National Intelligence, nearly one-third of the detainees freed from Gitmo—208 of the 693 detainees who were released under Presidents Bush or Obama—are confirmed or suspected of returning to terrorism.”

Time and again, including the five Terrorists that Obama traded for that filthy deserter Bowe Bergdahl, Obama’s efforts to appease the Un and empty out Gitmo have resulted in these barbarians going back to their fellow savages in order to continue their Holy Jihad against us infidels.

If I may be so blunt, Barack Hussein Obama has seemingly never had the safety of America or the rest of the civilized world in the forefront of his thoughts in his quest to empty out Gitmo.

It appears, as I wrote previously, that all he was thinking about was making the United Nations and his “new friends” in the Middle East happy.

Thank God that a moving van was spotted in front of the White House, yesterday.

I hope America survives the next 15 days.

Until He Comes,

Trump Makes Presence Felt on First Day of New Congress…Simply by Tweeting His Displeasure

u-s-capitol-4-snow-1000x550As my bride and I were settling down to watch an episode of “Walker Texas Ranger” last night, the words of the show’s theme song rang out,

The eyes of the ranger are upon you…any wrong you do he’s gonna see…

Yesterday, Newly Re-elected Speaker of the House Paul Ryan and the rest of the Members of the House of Representatives found out that “the eyes of the President-elect” were upon them.

The Washington Post reports that

The Trump effect has landed forcefully on Capitol Hill.

Less than two hours after President-elect Donald Trump criticized House Republicans — in a tweet, of course — for trying to gut an ethics investigative unit on the first day of business in the new Congress, those plans lay in shambles in the Republican conference’s meeting room.

The immediate outcome was to keep intact the independent Office of Congressional Ethics — exactly the status quo that House Speaker Paul D. Ryan (R-Wis.) and his leadership team had hoped to protect. That result, however, appeared largely to be the result of Trump’s intervention rather than Ryan’s maneuvering.

There was a broader outcome, too: The unruly Republican caucus that has wreaked havoc in the House for the entirety of Ryan’s tenure fell in line. And there were signs, judging from Tuesday’s drama, that they might continue doing so this year.

House leaders attributed the reversal of the ethics decision to many factors, not the least of which was a rough period of media coverage highlighting how the lawmakers were abandoning Trump’s pledge to “drain the swamp” of Washington of corruption.

But lurking behind it all was the prospect that Trump’s political power, now aimed at Capitol Hill, can instill fear and force action. By aiming his social-media fire hose on fellow Republicans — even as he assembles a Cabinet filled with billionaires and insiders — Trump made clear that he intends to continue giving voice to the anti-establishment outsiders who propelled him through the Republican primaries against much more seasoned politicians and to an electoral-college win against Democrat Hillary Clinton.

That may give Trump leverage over those members of the Republican conference who have claimed the “outsider” mantle for the past six years, a period when the most conservative Republicans have gained stature back home by flouting leadership, whether it was John A. Boehner (R-Ohio) as speaker or Ryan for the past 15 months.

These Republicans regularly turned their backs on party leadership and claimed ideological purity in their carefully crafted districts that were bastions of like-minded conservatives. They operated on the assumption that the only likely political penalty was a primary challenge from the right.

Now, their party’s leader wields a Twitter account with 18.5 million followers. As he prepares to enter the Oval Office in little more than two weeks, Trump is far more popular in their districts than they are. He employs as his chief strategist the former leader of Breitbart News, a conservative media outlet that has included among its top targets the skewering of Republicans not deemed suitably conservative.

As a result, the first day of the 115th Congress served as a sort of beta test of how some Republicans will react when Trump sics his media power on them. If the most conservative flank tries to buck Trump on a pricey infrastructure deal, how will they handle the heat from Trump’s Twitter feed? If moderate Republicans try to block his moves on health care, will they withstand the heat if Trump goes to Breitbart to attack them by name?

On Tuesday the answer came fast: Run for cover.

“With all that Congress has to work on, do they really have to make the weakening of the Independent Ethics Watchdog . . . their number one act and priority,” Trump asked in a pair of tweets just after 10 a.m., adding that there were “so many other things of far greater importance.”

By 11:50 a.m., literally 10 minutes before the constitutionally mandated start of the new Congress, Ryan and House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) called an emergency meeting. Some Republicans piled into the meeting with their children in tow, there to see their mother or father sworn into another term in Congress.

The night before, by a large margin, House Republicans had approved an amendment to their new rules package for the 115th Congress that would have substantially impaled the investigative capabilities of the Office of Congressional Ethics — an independent body that was formed almost a decade ago after a raft of mostly Republican corruption cases landed in federal courthouses.

The OCE, as it is known, was meant to serve as a quasi-grand jury that would handle complaints from the public and tipsters, as well as reviewing media stories of potentially corrupt acts. If there’s a high likelihood an infraction occurred, it gets referred to the House Ethics Committee, which is evenly split between Republicans and Democrats and has full subpoena power and can mete out punishment.

Lawmakers in both parties have seen the OCE as overly zealous at times, and there have been previous calls to rein in the team of former federal prosecutors who have overseen it the past nine years.

But the Monday night massacre of OCE, on a federal holiday, with almost 50 Republicans still not back in Washington, came with little warning or debate. It was an amendment offered by Rep. Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.), the House Judiciary Committee chairman, and Ryan and McCarthy tried to tell their rank and file they would look foolish if they blew up the ethics process in this manner.

The leaders were steamrolled, with Goodlatte winning 119 to 74.

At the same time Tuesday morning that Trump was tweeting his displeasure, Ryan’s office issued a wordy statement that tried to explain what had happened, and McCarthy held a media briefing. Neither could clearly explain what would come next.

Then the leaders brought in the rank and file for another meeting. Many arguments were made about appearances and how the issue was dominating media coverage.

Oh, and someone brought up Trump.

Rep. Charlie Dent (R-Pa.), a recent chairman of the Ethics Committee, said that members of the House GOP leadership mentioned Trump’s opposition to the OCE changes at the brief closed-door meeting in the Capitol basement, giving weight to reversing Monday night’s decision.

“That should be a consideration,” Dent said, explaining how leaders framed the thinking.

Within minutes, lawmakers rolled out of their meeting, having completely reversed course. Nothing would change for the OCE.

Instead, the normally fractious House GOP marched upstairs and displayed the most unity it has shown in the vote for speaker in six years: All but one Republican supported Ryan, who lost 10 Republican votes in his initial vote in October 2015.

“We will deliver,” Ryan told the House in his valedictory speech.

What slays me about this whole “incident”  is the fact that the Establishment Republicans seem to be quite content, in their moderately left-leaning stupor, even after the mandate that We The People delivered to them on November 8th, 2016, to be totally oblivious and tone deaf of their Base, average hard working middle-class Americans like you and me.

You know, the people who actually put them into office.

They keep on making bad choices.

Spineless Vichy Republicans have been a barrier to Republican victory for as long as I can remember. Like Quakers, Establishment Republicans seem to believe that passive resistance and reaching out to their sworn enemies as “friends”, is the way to defeat those who oppose you.

It has been especially bad during Obama’s reign, as the House and Senate Republican Leadership apparently cherished their friendship with the Democrats more than they did the wishes of the folks back home. Yes, they talked a good game, but so did Jon Lovitz in those “Liar Sketches” during the old days of Saturday Night Live, back when they were actually funny.

Yeah,  my wife Morgan Fairchild. Yeah, that’s it. That’s the ticket!

In 1975, Ronald Wilson Reagan gave a speech which sums up our present situation and average Americans’ visceral disdain for the Professional Politicians, who value the Washingtonian Status Quo, above US.

Americans are hungry to feel once again a sense of mission and greatness.

I don ‘t know about you, but I am impatient with those Republicans who after the last election rushed into print saying, “We must broaden the base of our party” — when what they meant was to fuzz up and blur even more the differences between ourselves and our opponents.

It was a feeling that there was not a sufficient difference now between the parties that kept a majority of the voters away from the polls. When have we ever advocated a closed-door policy? Who has ever been barred from participating?

Our people look for a cause to believe in. Is it a third party we need, or is it a new and revitalized second party, raising a banner of no pale pastels, but bold colors which make it unmistakably clear where we stand on all of the issues troubling the people?

A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must represent certain fundamental beliefs which must not be compromised to political expediency, or simply to swell its numbers.

I do not believe I have proposed anything that is contrary to what has been considered Republican principle. It is at the same time the very basis of conservatism. It is time to reassert that principle and raise it to full view. And if there are those who cannot subscribe to these principles, then let them go their way.

Note to the GOP Elite:

You guys are now facing the same situation that faced Victor von Frankenstein, in the classic movie: You have created this “monster”.

…a pi$$ed-off base who voted for an “outsider”, a non-professional politician talking directly to the people…

And, you have lost control.

Your only hope is to catch this lighting in a bottle and to ride this lightning bolt all the way through Donald J. Trump’s tenure as President of the United States of America, supporting him and passing legislation in accordance with the wishes of the American Voters who made him the “Leader of your Political Party”.

Your phony boloney jobs are at stake.

Senate Democrats to Obstruct the Confirmation of Trump’s Cabinet Picks. “Compromise For Thee. None For Me.”

democrats-are-planning-to-use-hearings-on-trumps-billionaire-cabinet-picks-to-win-over-the-working-class

To be filed under “The Democrats’ Temper Tantrum Continues…”

Foxnews.com reports that

Senate Democrats reportedly plan to attack eight of Republican President-elect Donald Trump’s Cabinet picks and stretch their confirmation process from days to perhaps months, despite having essentially no chance of blocking their nominations.

The Democratic senators are vowing to make good on their vow unless the nominees start disclosing personal financial information, according to The Washington Post.

Trump has made eight of 17 Cabinet picks, with four remaining.

The primary targets include Rex Tillerson for secretary of state; Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions for attorney general; South Carolina Rep. Mick Mulvaney for the Office of Management and Budget; Betsy DeVos as the new education secretary and Steve Mnuchin, the former Goldman Sachs executive nominated to be treasury secretary.

“President-elect Trump is attempting to fill his rigged Cabinet with nominees that … have made billions off the industries they’d been tasked with regulating,” incoming Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said Sunday. “If Republicans think they can quickly jam through a whole slate of nominees without a fair hearing process, they’re sorely mistaken.”

Republicans who control the Senate and House plan to begin the confirmation hearings on Trump’s Jan. 20 Inauguration Day.

Republicans have a 52-to-48 majority over Democrats in the Senate.

The nominees will get enough votes in the GOP-run Senate committees but would run into delays when both parties cast final votes on the chamber floor, despite needing only 51 “yeahs.”

Democrats could use procedural moves to extend the debate on each of the nominees. But they don’t have the power to use the filibuster to block the nominations, because in the last Congress they changed the threshold on such filibusters from 60 to 51 votes.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and fellow Republicans don’t like the Democrats’ plan and argue they didn’t oppose outgoing Democratic President Obama’s nominations when he took office in 2008.

“Republicans and Democrats worked together and expeditiously to carefully consider his nominees,” McConnell spokesman David Popp told Fox News on Monday.

Popp points out that the Senate held hearings on multiple nominees before Obama was even sworn in, confirmed seven of them on Day One and that nearly all of them were confirmed within two weeks.

“Sen. Schumer and others approved wholeheartedly of this approach at the time,” Popp continued. “So surely they won’t object to treating the incoming president’s nominees with the same courtesy and seriousness.”

The others on the purported list of eight are Georgia GOP Rep. Tom Price, Trump’s nominee to run the Department of Health and Human Services; Andrew Puzder for labor secretary; and Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt to run the EPA.

Those not on the purported list are Marine Gen. James N. Mattis for defense secretary; South Carolina GOP Gov. Nikki Haley as U.S. ambassador to the United Nations; and former Marine Gen. John Kelly run the Department of Homeland Security.

Is it just me, or have y’all noticed the renewed cry for “Compromise” in the Halls of Power in Washington, DC, which began right after the Presidential Election was decided o the night of November 8, 2016?

This renewed cry of “Can’t we all just get along” is coming as the present President of the United States, Barack Hussein Obama (mm mmm mmmm) is about to be replaced by the new Republican President-elect, Donald J.Trump. In other words,  the Democrats  are about to be pushed out of the Halls of Power by the Republicans.

Hence, the “Call for Compromise”.

Because, boys and girls, when Democrats call for “compromise”, they are actually wanting Republicans to surrender and to let them control the country.

I find it quite funny and revealing that the Democrats are calling for “compromise”.

Heck, they always do that when they realize that the things they want to do, are the exact opposite of the will of the majority of the American People….and those same citizens, who can fire their sorry rear-ends every 2 years, have risen up on their hind legs, like a lion about to drop a zebra on the Serengeti.

Look at the facts: You have a Lame Duck President whose Signature Legislation, quite frankly, Marxist in nature, is about to be trashed. It has proven to be a failure and it is opposed by 93% of the American People

Meanwhile, Democrats are calling for “compromise” and “a thorough review” of Trump’s Cabinet Picks in an act of desperation, feverishly attempting to hold on to whatever power and, **cough** credibility they have left.

Now, as any average American with common sense, out here in the Heartland will tell you, when your opponent in a fight is about to land face-first on the ground after a knockout punch, you don’t hold him up and hit yourself in the face at the same time.

However, that is exactly what the Democrats are feebly attempting to persuade the Vichy Republicans in Congress to do.

Lacking any sense of self-preservation, these spineless Professional Politicians, while giving lip service to those who elected them in the Mid-Term Massacre of 2014, are no doubt still reaching across the aisle to their political opponents, offering them support and succor as one would a family member in their time of need.

Remember when Mitch McConnell called The Tea Party Movement, who gave the Republicans the House of Representatives in 2010, “a bunch of bullies?”

Well, it was the same Americans who elected that “bunch of bullies” who just gave Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan a mandate to work under.

The election of Donald J. Trump as the 45th President was the mandate that I am referring to.

A “mandate” is the authority to carry out a policy or course of action, regarded as given by the electorate to a candidate or party that is victorious in an election.

To quote the late , great Slim Pickens in “Blazing Saddles”,

What in the Wide, Wide World of Sports is a’goin’ on here?

I hope  that the professional politicians on the Republican side are not listening  to their Democratic colleagues’ cry for compromise and will refuse to allow the minority of Democrat Senators to slow the Confirmation Process..

What is the matter with you guys? As we say down here in Dixie,

Are y’all just ate up with “The Stupid”?

I can hear the high-pitched whines of the young and dumb and the old and didactic Liberals out there, right now,

But, your President, Reagan, compromised, all the time!!! 1!1! Eleventy!!!

Why, yes, he did. But, 99.99% of the time,,,he got what HE wanted, in the first place…and usually, what the American People wanted. He did his job as the President.

Please compare and contrast to the no-compromise Petulant President, who got all of his Cabinet Picks confirmed in an expedient manner by the Opposition Party and who now meanders his way into the Oval Office, Monday through Friday, around 10:00 a.m., and puts his feet on the Resolute desk.

If you believe that President Reagan would have allowed Iran to have nuclear capability during his lifetime, you probably still live in your Mom’s basement.

In the Real World, from whence  the new president comes, you negotiate from a position of strength, in order to achieve the goals you have set. You are prepared to give the perception of compromise, all the while, moving your opponent in the direction you want them to go, all the while keeping something in your hip pocket, to be used to your advantage.

Unfortunately, both the Democrats and the Vichy Republicans have construed the definition of “compromise” to mean a surrender of Conservative ideals and Political Ideology, and an acceptance all Liberal Political Stances.

If this blatant, oblivious, self-serving stupidity of the part of both Political Parties continues, the new Republican Congress are about to butt heads with the new Republican President-elect.

Fortunately for Americans, Donald J. Trump did not get to where he is in life by making major compromises and his beliefs or in his business dealings.

The American people knew that. That is why he has become the 45th president of the United States of America.

So, all you Democrats professional politicians out there and activist can cry for compromise all you want. However, this ol’ Southern boy believes that it’s falling on deaf ears.

And, all od you Republican Congressmen (and women) who value your phony-baloney jobs had better do your jobs and stand firm in support of the 45th President of the United States of America’s Cabinet Picks.

It was the political compromise of things that should not have been compromised on that got his country in the dubious shape that it is in.

Donald Trump has been given a mandate to do whatever is necessary put America back on the road to prosperity and to bring it back to its rightful place among the countries of the world.

So, there will be no “compromise” on the things that matter to the Americans who elected this new President.

You Liberals are more than welcome to come work with the Trump Administration to help Make America Great Again.

Otherwise, just sit down, shut up, and enjoy the ride.

Chicago and Memphis Set New Homicide Records in 2016. What’s the Answer?

chicago-murder-rate

You won’t get gun control by disarming law-abiding citizens. There’s only one way to get real gun control: Disarm the thugs and the criminals, lock them up and if you don’t actually throw away the key, at least lose it for a long time… It’s a nasty truth, but those who seek to inflict harm are not fazed by gun controllers. I happen to know this from personal experience. – Ronald Reagan

Foxnews.com reports that

The city of Chicago recorded 762 homicides in 2016 — an average of two murders per day, the most killings in the city for two decades and more than New York and Los Angeles combined.

The nation’s third largest city also saw 1,100 more shooting incidents than it did in 2015, according to statistics released by the Chicago Police Department that underlined a story of bloodshed that has put Chicago at the center of a national dialogue about gun violence.

The numbers released Sunday are staggering, even for those following the steady news accounts of weekends ending with dozens of shootings and monthly death tolls that hadn’t been seen in years. The increase in 2016 homicides compared to 2015, when 485 were reported, is the largest spike in 60 years.

Police and city officials have lamented the flood of illegal guns into the city, and the crime statistics appeared to support their claims: Police recovered 8,300 illegal guns in 2015, a 20 percent from the previous year.

Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson said during a news conference Sunday that Chicago is among many U.S. cities that have seek a spike in violence, including in attacks on police. He said anger at police, including in the wake of video released that showed a white Chicago officer shooting a black teenager 16 times, has left criminals “emboldened” to violent crimes.

He also said it’s becoming clearer to criminals that they have little to fear from the criminal justice system.

“In Chicago, we just don’t have a deterrent to pick up a gun,” he said. “Any time a guy stealing a loaf of bread spends more time pre-trial in jail than a gun offender, something is wrong.”

The bulk of the deaths and shooting incidents, which jumped from 2,426 in 2015 to 3,550 last year, occurred in only five neighborhoods on the city’s South and West sides, all poor and predominantly black areas where gangs are most active. Police said the shootings in those areas generally wasn’t random, with more than 80 percent of the victims having previously been identified by police as more susceptible because of their gang ties or past arrests.

Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson was expected to discuss the newly released statistics Sunday afternoon.

The city has scrambled to address the violence. Mayor Rahm Emanuel announced last year that 1,000 officers would be added to the police department. At the same time, police officials have been trying to figure out why homicides and shootings — which began climbing the year before — suddenly surged.

Johnson has said several factors contributed to the increased violence. He noted 2016 was the first full year since the city was forced in November 2015 to release video of the fatal police shooting of 17-year-old Laquan McDonald, who was black and shot 16 times by a white police officer. The video cost former Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy his job, sparked major protests around the city, and led to federal and state investigations of the department.

It also left Johnson with the task of trying to restore public trust in what appeared to be a weakened police force, a perception that was only buttressed by a dramatic drop in the number of arrests in 2016.

While the police department has cited several factors for the declining numbers, including a concerted effort not to make minor drug arrests and focus on gun violence, Johnson acknowledged in a recent interview with The Associated Press that officers have become more cautious — in part out of fear of becoming the next “viral video.”

That, he said, has “emboldened” criminals.

“Criminals watch TV, pay attention to the media,” he said. “They see an opportunity to commit nefarious activity.”

Gee. Ya think?

Meanwhile, in my hometown, the Former “City of Good Abode”…

Memphis set a grim record with 228 homicides in 2016, eclipsing by 15 killings the previous record of 213 set in 1993.

The year began with the shooting death of 49-year-old Patrick Couch, who was killed in the driveway of a home on South Fourth Street just before 3 p.m. on New Year’s Day 2016. That was one of 10 murders in the first 13 days of the year, establishing the record-setting pace that just never let up.

The year ended with the shooting death of an unidentified man just before 11 a.m. Saturday at Saxon and Cummings in South Memphis. No arrests have been made, police said.

Memphis Police Director Michael Rallings was unavailable for comment Sunday, MPD spokesman Karen Rudolph said. Messages left for Mayor Jim Strickland were not returned. Strickland campaigned for mayor on the promise of crime reduction, but the city’s escalating homicide total has made that promise difficult to achieve.

“Our homicide rate has taken this tragic, shameful spike. It is the crime that the police are least able to control. It is on all of us, in our homes, our neighborhoods, and our churches, to do better,” Strickland said in a recent statement.

Throughout his Presidency, Barack Hussein Obama has issued Executive Orders aimed at limited the Second Amendment Rights of Americans Citizens, in an effort to “curb gun violence”

An Executive Order, sometimes known as a proclamation, is a directive handed down directly from the President of the United States without input from the legislative or judicial branches. Executive orders can only be given to federal or state agencies, not to citizens, even though we wind up bearing the brunt of them.

Executive Orders go all the way back to our first president, George Washington. Presidents have used them to lead the nation through times of war, to respond to natural disasters and economic crises, to encourage or to limit regulation by federal agencies, to promote civil rights, or in the case of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, to set up Japanese internment camps, in order to revoke Civil Rights.

The problem with Obama’s issuing Executive orders to “curb gun violence” is clearly demonstrated in the above article about the escalation of homicides in Chicago in 2016.

Chicago has some of the strictest gun laws in the country.

And yet, people are still shooting one another.

Which proves the old saying,

If you outlaw guns, only outlaws will have guns.

Have you ever watched a mother, when their toddler bumps their head on a table, attempt to distract their child, by pretending to spank the table, while saying, “Bad Table”?

That, in a nutshell, is what President Barack Hussein Obama has attempted to do by writing Executive Orders, in an attempt to limit the Constitutional Right of American Citizens to own guns.

By creating new restrictions, instead of enforcing gun laws which are already in place, Obama is shifting the blame from those who operate outside of the law to America and her citizens.

Obama is attempting to control law-abiding American Citizens, instead of punishing those who operate outside of our laws, such as the thugs who have turned Obama’s “hometown” of Chicago and my hometown of Memphis into their own personal “Killing Fields”.

If President Barack Hussein Obama had his way, we would live in a country comprised of restrictive gun laws, which would be modeled after those in Europe. And, as past  events have plainly shown, those restrictive gun laws have allowed Islamic Terrorists to kill innocent people unchallenged, because none of those innocent people were allowed to carry a weapon with which to defend themselves.

In fact, in some cases, even the police officers, who first arrived on the scene, were unarmed, and had to call for additional forces, thus giving the perpetrators more time to murder and maim the innocent.

One of our Founding Fathers, Dr. Benjamin Franklin, once wrote,

Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both.

Like Dr. Franklin and the rest of those who have fought for our freedom, average Americans realize what the president does not.

The problem in cities like Chicago and Memphis is not that there are not enough gun laws. The problem is the gun laws on the books are not properly enforced.

The dissolution of the Black Family Unit and the revolving door state of our Municipal Justice Systems have a lot to do with the rise of homicides in those Metropolitan areas, as well.

But, that’s a subject for another post.

Passing more restrictive gun laws is not the answer.

After all, have you ever seen a gun pull its own trigger?

Until He Comes,
