While Bloomberg is calling for a “War on Poverty”, Trump is Already Winning It.

untitled (290)

Back on December 11th, usnews.com reported on Democratic Candidate Michael Bloomberg’s speech in Stockton, California…

“As president, my job will be to move all Americans ahead, and that includes committing our country to new and innovative ways to combat poverty. There has to be a war on poverty,” the New York billionaire said while campaigning in Stockton.

His plan includes initiatives to raise the minimum wage and expand affordable housing. He outlined them after a community discussion with Stockton Mayor Michael Tubbs, who endorsed Bloomberg and said he had the “record, resources and relationships” to defeat President Donald Trump.

The trip marked Bloomberg’s first to California since launching his 2020 White House bid. Since he’s bypassing the four early voting states, Bloomberg — a former New York City mayor — is hanging his campaign success on states such as California, which votes on Super Tuesday and offers the biggest delegate haul in the primary contest. He’s already spent at least $60 million on television advertisements, though his spokesman wouldn’t say how much he’s spent in California specifically. He said the campaign has hired three staff members in California.

Bloomberg said he thinks his pragmatic message will resonate with Californians, nearly 15 million of whom will be eligible to vote in the 2020 Democratic presidential primary.
“Californians understand nothing’s simple — you have to have real solutions,” he said. “And you have to have the evolutionary rather than revolutionary change.”

While Bloomberg didn’t mention any of his rivals by name, it appeared a clear swat at the philosophies of progressive candidates such as Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, who is calling for a “political revolution.” Sanders is also competing aggressively in California, where his campaign has dozens of staff members on the ground already.

Tubbs, who was elected in 2017, defended Bloomberg’s use of his personal fortune to fund his presidential campaign, noting that Trump is a fundraising powerhouse who has amassed considerable money for his reelection bid. He said Bloomberg’s decision to visit Stockton, where the poverty rate tops 20%, and to talk about issues like income inequality showed his priorities.

“He’s not here and stopping for money. He’s here to connect with people who usually aren’t thought of in presidential campaigns,” Tubbs said.

In Bloomberg’s inequality plan, he’s proposing expanding tax credits to build low-income housing, increasing federal spending on public housing and launching a $10 billion competitive program to encourage cities to ease zoning restrictions that govern where and how developers can build. Proposals in the California Legislature to ease restrictive zoning, which critics say contribute to the state’s housing crisis, have failed.

Bloomberg is also calling for raising the minimum wage to $15 by 2025 and expanding a tax credit for low-wage workers.

And, if elected, he will also probably ban Big Gulps, like he did in New York City.

Why is it that all that this less-than-mediocre batch of contenders for the Democratic Presidential Candidacy can offer are rehashes of programs which have already been tried and failed spectacularly?

After all, it was Democratic Party Politics which lost Americans their jobs, broke up their family units, and put them in perpetual servitude to the State to begin with.

Back during the 2012 Presidential Race, the “Severely Conservative” Republican Party Legacy Candidate, Mitt Romney, stirred up a hornet’s nest by stating that 47% of Americans were receiving some form of Government Entitlements, such as SNAP, Welfare, etc. It didn’t really matter that he was absolutely correct. He was considered a rich out-of-touch, uncaring, old white guy, from that moment on. He was positively vilified by President Barack Hussein Obama (mm mmm mmmm), the rest of the Democratic Party, and their Propaganda Arm, the Main Stream Media.

Sound familiar?

Romney was attempting, rather indelicately, to make the point that, with this American Freedom that we have been blessed with, also comes the burden of responsibility. Romney was trying to illuminate the fact that American is still the Land of  Opportunity, and that “God helps those who help themselves”.

I don’t believe that the Republican Presidential Candidate was attempting to be malicious by calling out the 47%. He was merely trying to paint a verbal picture as to how the sense of entitlement, that is forcefully held by some Americans, and has been facilitated by the Democrats, had spun way out of control, becoming an immeasurable burden on American Taxpayers, and an immense anchor, holding our economy back.

It was that same selfish sense of entitlement that fueled the backlash against “Mittens” by America’s low information voters, who were certainly egged on by their “plantation Masters”, the Democratic Party, and their “Straw Bosses”, in the Main Stream Media.

Around that same time, the number 47 came up in the National Media once again, as it was reported that 47% of American Babies were being born out of wedlock.

To the Wayback Machine, Sherman!

Back  in the 60s, President Lyndon Johnson (whose big hand I once shook, at his ranch, as a little boy, after his presidential term) and the Democrats, brought forth a plan, called “the Great Society”. It was decided, in order to ensure that everyone would have an equal opportunity in America, that Uncle Sugar would step in to fill in the gaps.

Two seminal pieces of legislation were passed.

First, the Civil Rights Bill that JFK promised to sign, before his assassination, was passed into law. This Act banned discrimination based on race and gender in employment and ending segregation in all public facilities.

It also helped to cement in stone, minorities’ loyalty to the Democratic Party, which continues to this day.

The second bill that LBJ signed into law was the sweeping ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY ACT OF 1964. It created the Office of Economic Opportunity whose stated purpose was to attack the roots of American poverty. A Job Corps was then established to provide vocational training.

A preschool program designed to help disadvantaged students arrive at kindergarten ready to learn, named HEADSTART, was then established. Then came VOLUNTEERS IN SERVICE TO AMERICA (VISTA), which was set up as a domestic Peace Corps. Schools in impoverished American regions would now receive volunteer teaching attention. Federal funds were sent to struggling communities to attack unemployment and illiteracy.

What Johnson told Americans, as he campaigned in 1964, was that the establishment of this “Great Society” was going to eliminate the problems of America’s poor.

It had the opposite effect

The Great Society created a dependent class, which, instead of diminishing as it’s members joined the workforce, increased from generation to generation, relying on the federal government to provide their every need.

Uncle Sugar became Mother, Father, Preacher, and Doctor to generations of Americans. This “Plantation Mentality” continues to this day, encouraged by those who make their living off of the misfortunes of others…Democratic Politicians and the Owners and Operators of Numerous Shady Politically Motivated “Non-Profit” Organizations.

I know. I spent from January 2011 – June 2012 working in our county’s WIN Job Center.

While at this Employment Office, I was able to observe folks down on their luck, struggling to find work and survive in this economy.

I also saw American families whose existence living on the Government Dole had become generational.

It is these people whom the Democrats continue to hypnotize into believing that Uncle Sugar loves them, and is their only solution to surviving a stifling existence.

They are so, so wrong.

The strength and vitality of America does not come from the benevolence of a Nanny-state Federal Government.

As the greatest American President of our lifetime, Ronald Reagan said:

The nine words you never want to hear are:  I’m from the Government and I’m here to help.

Being enslaved to the Government Dole steals one’s ambition.  It takes away any impetus or desire to create a better life for yourself and your family, to challenge yourself to pick yourself up by your bootstraps and pursue the American Dream.  It makes you reliant on a politically motivated spider’s web full of government bureaucrats who view you and your family as job security.

I watched American citizens trapped in this web of government bureaucracy,  so numbed of any initiative that they once had, that they seemed offended that they actually had to prove that they inquired about three jobs that week in order to keep their “benefits”.  Others seemed puzzled that they had to search through the state data base and pick out a job that they wanted to talk to an interviewer about receiving a referral to, and weren’t just simply handed a job when they walked through the door.

Additionally, now there is a preponderance of Americans of child-bearing age who don’t have enough self-control, self-esteem, and moral turpitude to actually get married before they bring an innocent life into this world?

I’m not a bit surprised.

Welcome to the Democrats’ “Great Society”.

President Trump and his Administration have been attempting to encourage those trapped in a cycle of poverty to break free through self-determination and hard work which will lead to individual achievement and self-responsibility through a booming economy which has seen black unemployment drop to historic lows..

And, that is why Democrats like Michael Bloomberg are crying out for a resurgence of “Uncle Sugar” and a powerful “Nanny State” Government.

They are losing control of those Americans who used to rely on Democrats’ “benevolence” from cradle to grave.

…while President Donald J. Trump is MAKING AMERICAN GREAT AGAIN.

“Superman” to the Rescue After Salon.com Writer Brands Hallmark Christmas Movies as “Fascist Propaganda”

Cain-Swanson-Getty

https://twitter.com/Talkmaster/status/1210553127721689090

FoxNews.com reports that

Hallmark veteran actor Dean Cain is coming to the network’s defense after a website published a contentious article claiming its holiday movies are “fascist propaganda.”

Cain appeared on Friday’s episode of “Fox & Friends” and blasted Salon.com and its writer, Amanda Marcotte, for spewing out “terrible” allegations against Hallmark on Wednesday.

Marcotte’s article titled “Hallmark movies are fascist propaganda,” released on Christmas, argued that the network’s holiday film schedule is “like a trip into an uncanny valley of shiny-teethed, blow-dried heteronormative whiteness, with only a few token movies with characters of color.”

“We are not allowed to accept creatives that are deemed controversial,” a Hallmark account representative reportedly said in an email exchange with a Zola ad buyer.

Cain, who has appeared in 10 Hallmark movies, shared that the article was “the most ridiculous thing” to wake up to and read on Christmas morning.

“It’s insane because Hallmark movies are about love,” Cain told the “Fox & Friends” hosts. “They’re about bringing people together. They’re not about division or anything of that nature.”

The actor, also known for his role as Superman/Clark Kent in the TV series “Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman,” claimed Hallmark films are “the farthest thing from fascism that exists out there.”

“If you want to know who the fascist is, look who wrote the article,” Cain continued. “They’re the fascists telling you what you should believe or what you have to do, or you have to conform to their view of what society should be, which is completely insane.”

Cain admitted he has not appeared in a Hallmark film for a “couple years,” but still found Salon’s bashing of Hallmark “a boldface attack on Christmas and love.”

“It’s just a bunch of hate,” Cain said.

Marcotte shared her controversial piece on Twitter on Wednesday, and then defended her words hours later after receiving mixed criticism.

“Laughing at the right-wingers calling me ‘joyless’ because I think Hallmark movies are dumb. I think someone’s life is joyless if their only source of entertainment is such empty schmaltz. What a depressing life, free of real, satisfying entertainments and hobbies,” the writer tweeted.

Hallmark has been ensnared in controversy this month, following the channel’s decision to pull an advertisementthat featured two brides kissing during a same-sex wedding ceremony. The network ultimately responded to the controversy by reinstating the commercialdays later.

Actress Hilarie Burton doubled down on the allegations by accusing Hallmark of letting her go from a Hallmark job after she voiced her support for including an LGBTQ character, an interracial couple and diverse casting.

Liberals try to screw up everything to fit their distorted world view.

If there was a demand for movies such as Hilarie Burton is advocating for, Hallmark would already be showing them.

Television programmers schedule programs which will give them the largest viewing audience.

Quite frankly, programming for 1% of a potential viewing audience would not do that.

Dean “Superman” Cain is exactly right.

Modern American Liberals are the true fascists.

For years now, I have referred to the intolerant political ideology of Modern American Liberals as “The New Fascism” because of their intolerance toward traditional Americans Faith and Values, including our relationship with our closest ally, since their birth as a country in 1948.

What we are seeing now, as regards the “Four Horsewomen of the Apocalypse” and the growing radical movement to the Left of the Political Spectrum, which includes anti-Semitism, of the Democratic Party, which began under Former President Barack Hussein Obama, is a result of an amalgamation of the political philosophies of the special interest groups who have replaced average Americans as the Democrats’ Voting Base.

Anti-Semitism is the norm in Marxism in all of its forms, fascism, and, of course, Islam.

All of these political philosophies are the anti-thesis of who the Far Left Democrats claim to be.

Ladies and gentlemen, I firmly believe that America is in the middle of fighting a new war against fascism.

It’s not a war that is being fought with guns and bullets, But instead, it is being fought with a strictly Political Impeachment of President Trump, fueled by anonymous sources, unproven baseless accusations, and the Vanguard of the Modern Democratic Party, the Main Stream Media.

It’s not our Brightest and Best who are dying on this field of battle, but rather, it is our Constitutional Freedoms and our form of government, including our System of Checks and Balances, which are dying an ignoble death, pierced by the arrows of socialism and political correctness.

A form of government unique to America, a Constitutional Republic, which the clueless Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, in a deflective move, has identified as “fascistic”.

By now, there’s some out there in the audience saying, “Oh Lord, the crazy old cracker’s overreacting again.”

No, Skippy, I’m not.

If you try to talk to a Liberal about this New Fascism, they will deny that there is any fascism going on at all. In fact, they will tell you that their radicalism “the will of the people” and they will site Democratically stacked push polls in order to back their opinion up.

Liberals can not legitimately defend their positions, such as the suppression of the Second Amendment Rights of average Americans, the Silent Coup began by those members of the DOJ and FBI during the Obama Administration against now-President Trump, the “Caining” of Judge Kavanaugh, and the Political Impeachment of President Trump, all caused by the  taking over of the Democratic Party by a bunch of wild-eyed anti-American radicals.

Fascism, in any form, remains indefensible.

All of this political unethical behavior by the Far Left Democrats is reminiscent of both the Russian Revolution and Hitler and his Brown Shirts’ “Beer Hall Putsch” which probably should have been expected, given the “New Bolsheviks” track record of Liberal Intolerance and aversion to opposing viewpoints.

Ronald Reagan, during an interview with Mike Wallace on 12/14/75, quipped…

“You know, someone very profoundly once said many years ago that if fascism ever comes to America, it will come in the name of liberalism.”

The man was a prophet.

Now, if you will excuse me, I think I will go back in to the living room and join my bride in watching one of those Hallmark Christmas Movies which sent that Salon.com writer into a rant…just because I can.

California Homeless Problem Out of Control…Citizens’ Solutions Meeting Resistance From Liberal Advocates and Authorities

EMSqPsWXYAAfIY9.jpg

FoxNews.com reports that

Outrage. Frustration. Fear. Those are some of the words residents used in 2019 to describe the growing homelessness problem across the United States. There were numerous cases of harassment, rampant drug use and disturbing displays of mental illness that shined a light on the harsh reality that America’s once-containable homeless problem had morphed into a modern-day crisis.

In Los Angeles, Heidi Van Tassell said a homeless man pulled her out of her car, dragged her into the middle of the street and dumped a bucket of feces on her head.

In Oakland, the soaring stats are still affecting the way retailers like Mika McCants operate their small businesses. Things soured so much in Seattle that Father Michael Ryan of St. James Cathedral sent a letter to congregants asking that they pray the city and church finds “the balance we need in order to not only be a welcoming place, but a safe place.” The letter was in response to a homeless man storming the church and smashing a 200-year-old wood carving of Mary with a large rock. It wasn’t an isolated incident and the church now has a uniformed police officer present during all weekend Masses. Sadly, there have been similar complaints popping up across the nation.

Fox News spoke with more than 100 homeless men and women, advocates and residents who said that they’d lost faith in their elected officials’ ability to solve the crisis especially after most cities and states had spent hundreds of millions of dollars to address the problem only to watch it get worse.

Fed up, residents started taking matters into their own hands and have tried everything from dumping car-sized logs in front of businesses to pitching plans to pack party buses with the homeless, handing them some cash, driving them across the border and abandoning them. While some suggestions have their foot firmly planted in fantasy, other proposals could actually work.

Here are some of the unconventional ways people came up with in 2019 to help curb the current homelessness crisis.

The homeless situation in Oakland, Calif., is pretty grim. The city has seen a 47 percent increase in homelessness in the past two years and elected leaders like Councilman Noel Gallo say the situation is only getting worse.

Currently, city council members are considering a proposal that would house 1,000 homeless people living in the Bay Area on a cruise ship. The idea was introduced by City Council President Rebecca Kaplan who said her plan “could be a great way to house a lot of people quickly” and added that “cruise ships have been used for emergency housing after natural disasters and for extra housing for things like the Olympics.”

Kaplan is expected to present her full proposal to the council in January and claims her plan will be at “no or low” cost to the city because the people on aboard would pay for their rooms based on their income. Kaplan said she’s been contacted by numerous cruise ship companies about providing a vessel for emergency housing.

Jonathan Warmund believes the Bay Area needs a “property option” that can help address the growing number of homeless men and women who are battling drug addiction and mental health issues.

He believes that barges or houseboats could be set up quickly and adds that the “vessels can support the critical wraparound services necessary to assist with these complex issues, along with many other unique property features.”

Getting it done, though, could be an uphill battle. Warmund said he’s tried reaching out to nonprofits and local government officials but hasn’t had much luck.

“I suspect there’s fatigue with what appears to be an intractable situation but I’m sensing or speculating that there may also be resistance to new ideas from current folks on the frontlines,” he told Fox News.

Gene Gorelik knows a thing or two about pushback from local officials. He angered a lot of people when he suggested Oakland’s homeless should be put on party buses stocked with alcohol, driven over the border and stranded in Mexico.

He has other ideas that make the Mexico one look conservative. Gorelik told Fox News he thinks the city should pay homeless drug addicts $100 to fill potholes and says “filling potholes needs to be more profitable than robbing cars. Two birds. One stone. Done.”

Gorelik also tried unsuccessfully in 2019 to bribe the homeless to leave Oakland.

Someone in Oakland started putting car-sized logs in front of businesses this year In an effort to deter transients from parking their RVs or dilapidated vehicles in front of businesses. While the motive was clear, no one person or group has come forward to say they are behind the long line of logs.

Sean Maher, a spokesman for Oakland’s Public Works Department, said he considers the logs an “intentional obstruction of the public right of way,” but admits the department hasn’t reached out to local businesses to get to the bottom of the mystery.

In September, a group of neighbors in San Francisco’s Clinton Park caused quite a commotion after paying to place two dozen large boulders along the sidewalk to keep homeless people from setting up tents in the area.

There was an immediate backlash and neighbors said they were threatened and harassed by activists who pushed the rocks off the sidewalks. The tug-of-war continued and public works employees were called by residents three times in one week to put the boulders back.

Ultimately, though, the neighbors backed down after they said they received death threats from people online sympathetic to the homeless.

In October, a resident in San Francisco’s Ingleside neighborhood erected a plywood wall in an alleyway to keep drug dealers and the homeless out. The neighbor told local media the city had approved the plywood wall but about three days after it went up, other neighbors complained and it came down.

“I did not agree with the blockade at all,” Miles Escobedo, vice-chair of the Ocean Avenue Association, told ABC7. “That was a very nuclear decision and that was the big issue. Why board it up? That’s a circumstance of fear, which is almost worse. We should not be scared. We should be able to contact our local authorities.”

Los Angeles has been struggling for years to clear encampments and get a handle on its homeless problem. It hasn’t worked. In fact, it’s gotten worse. The number of homeless in Los Angeles County has risen for the third time in four years. The most recent count released in June by the Los Angeles County Homeless Services Authority shows that there are nearly 60,000 homeless people living without permanent shelter on any given night.

Ticked off by the uptick in numbers, residents and business owners have been using their own methods to manage the problem. In South L.A., business owners built chain-link fences around buildings while others planted thorny rosebushes and pointy cacti to keep unwanted visitors out. In Venice, large planters were installed to discourage the homeless from sleeping on the sidewalks. Advocates protested and in August the planters were removed.

Breadlines will be next.

Welcome to the joys of Marxism.

Is it just me, or, have you noticed that homelessness is a problem which occurs a lot in cities Which have been Democratically-controlled for a long time.

There are vagrants in my hometown of Memphis, Tennessee. However, we a still a city with a lot of churches and religious organizations who do a lot of charitable work among the poor and down trodden, such as the Memphis Union Mission.

Democrats, like Newsom, Schiff, and Pelosi talk a good game…but that is all they do.

Why should they care?

They all live in gated communities or have a gated fence with guards which reaches around their palatial estate.

Meanwhile, average Americans, especially Conservatives give more to charitable causes than Liberals do.

Per Liberal Columnist Ncholas Kristof of The New York Times,

Liberals show tremendous compassion in pushing for generous government spending to help the neediest people at home and abroad. Yet when it comes to individual contributions to charitable causes, liberals are cheapskates.

Arthur Brooks, the author of a book on donors to charity, “Who Really Cares,” cites data that households headed by conservatives give 30 percent more to charity than households headed by liberals. A study by Google found an even greater disproportion: average annual contributions reported by conservatives were almost double those of liberals.

Now, there is no doubt that Liberals love to advocate for the homeless.

That is why they will not like these businessmen and women do something about the homeless.

However, do they ever really do anything FOR them to help them out of their poverty besides being a salaried advocate in a 501c funded by Soros’ Open Society Institute and OUR tax dollars?

Nope.

But, as advocates they do get to go to swell conventions.

Back in the day, before Liberals decided that average Americans could not make their own decisions and President Lyndon Baines Johnson created “The Great Society”church -run charities and families took care of those in need.

Then, Johnson and the Democrats proclaimed “We’ll do it!” and prosecuted the “War on Poverty” like a matador having the bull run under his cape while shouting “Ole”!

What we are see in California and across the country is a dystopian result of the Democrats’ “dream”…Americans abandoned by “The Great Society” and abandoned by those who promised to “take care of them”.

Pelosi and the Democrats would have…but they’re too busy trying to overturn the 2016 Election because they don’t like the President to worry about the homeless right now.

Liberals screw up EVERYTHING.

Where’s Hunter? Biden’s Son Missing From Family Christmas Picture, Not Responding to Discovery Requests in Arkansas Paternity Case

EMqeq25XYAAohJv

As you can see in the picture about Joe Biden’s son, Hunter is missing from the Family Christmas picture.

He has been playing “hide and go seek” for a while.

FoxNews.com reports that

Hunter Biden, the 49-year-old son of former Vice President Joe Biden, has been dodging discovery requests in connection with a paternity case in Arkansas, and is “the subject of more than one criminal investigation involving fraud, money laundering and a counterfeiting scheme,” a private investigation firm claimed this week in a bizarre court filing.

In addition, the Florida-based D&A Investigations told Fox News that its investigators have found that the intelligence community whistleblower at the center of the Democrats’ impeachment effort against President Trump accompanied Joe Biden when he traveled to Ukraine in early 2016 and, by his own admission, pressured the country’s government to fire its top prosecutor by threatening to withhold $1 billion in U.S. aid.

The whistleblower’s attorney, Mark Zaid, did not respond to Fox News’ request for comment on D&A’s claims, which Fox News has not independently verified. Zaid has previously acknowledged that the whistleblower had “contact” with presidential candidates of both parties, amid reports that he had a “professional working relationship” with one of the Democratic presidential contenders.

On the same day that D&A filed its “Notice of Fraud and Counterfeiting and Production of Evidence,” which was first reported by The New York Post and The Daily Mail and obtained by Fox News, Lunden Alexis Roberts — a woman who claims Hunter Biden got her pregnant — authored her own motion seeking “primary physical and legal custody” of the child. Roberts also demanded attorneys’ fees and a hearing concerning visitation rights.

The court in Independence County, Ark. quickly struck the D&A filing, which was made in a bid to support Roberts’ case as an “intervening party.” The court said D&A’s filing had violated state procedural rules which require that intervening parties raise a claim that shares a “question of law or fact in common” with the existing case.

The firm told Fox News on Tuesday to expect an additional filing soon, and hinted that more incriminating details concerning Hunter Biden’s business dealings would soon come to light.

Hunter Biden, in his own motion to strike the firm’s claims, told the court the allegations were false and scandalous, and a transparent attempt to garner media attention. D&A, on its website, has openly referred to Democrats’ impeachment efforts as a “sham.”

D&A is the same firm that worked with the defense team of Casey Anthony, a Florida woman acquitted of murdering her child in a highly publicized trial in 2011. Anthony later accused the private investigator of smearing her for media attention.

The firm’s incendiary claims highlighted some unanswered questions that could arise in a possible GOP-led impeachment trial in the Senate. Most notably, after leaving the vice presidency, Joe Biden attended a conference at which he discussed a previously unreported meeting in Ukraine for the first time.

“I said, ‘I’m telling you, you’re not getting the billion dollars,'” Biden boasted at the conference. “I said, ‘You’re not getting the billion. I’m going to be leaving here in –,’ I think it was about six hours. I looked at them and said, ‘I’m leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money.’ Well, son of a b–ch. He got fired. And they put in place someone who was solid at the time.”

The prosecutor, Viktor Shokin, was fired in March 2016, and had widely been accused of corruption himself. However, publicly available records show that Joe Biden did not officially travel to Ukraine in 2016. D&A told Fox News it believes Biden did not take Air Force Two for the trip.

In its filing, D&A investigations asserts that Hunter Biden and his business associates “established bank and financial accounts with Morgan Stanley et al,” for the Ukrainian natural gas company Burisma Holdings Limited for a “money laundering scheme,” among other ventures.

One alleged scheme “accumulated $156,073,944.24,” according to the document.

D&A claimed its filing was necessary because Hunter Biden was failing to answer “reasonable” and “basic” questions in the paternity case, and said it had been “actively investigating” Biden and his partners “since 8 August 2016.”

Hunter Biden was a board member of Burisma, which had been under investigation before then-Vice President Joe Biden pressured Ukraine to fire its top prosecutor. In his July 25 call with Ukraine’s president that ultimately led to his impeachment, President Trump suggested the Ukrainians look into the circumstances of the prosecutor’s termination, including Joe Biden’s boast that he had the prosecutor fired.

“Biden went around bragging that he stopped the prosecution, so if you can look into it … It sounds horrible to me,” Trump said on the phone call. State Department officials flagged Hunter Biden’s apparent conflict of interest at the time but were shrugged off by the vice president’s office.

Joe Biden has denied knowing anything about his son’s business dealings. Fox News has obtained a photo showing the former vice president golfing with Hunter and a Burisma executive, and Hunter Biden has previously said he discussed his business dealings on one occasion with his father.

Meanwhile, in her filing, the 28-year-old Roberts claims Hunter Biden has “had no involvement in the child’s life since the child’s birth, never interacted with the child, never parented the child,” and “could not identify the child out of a photo lineup.”

DNA tests have allegedly confirmed “with scientific certainty” that Hunter Biden is the biological father of Roberts’ baby, according to court documents filed in November.

Joe Biden tangled with a Fox News reporter when asked about that development.

“I’m wondering if you have a comment on this report, and court filing, out of Arkansas that your son Hunter just made you a grandfather again,” Fox News’ Peter Doocy asked.

“No, that’s a private matter and I have no comment,” Biden fired back before attacking the reporter.

“Only you would ask that,” Biden said. “You’re a good man. You’re a good man. Classy.”

Hunter Biden is reportedly now expecting a child with his wife Melissa Cohen Biden, whom he married in May.

Just a wonderful role model for America’s “yutes”, huh?

What it is with Liberal Democrats and their embracing of Moral Relativity and Situational Ethics?

Are they all spoiled brats like Hunter Biden…or just a bunch of perverts like Harvey Weinstein and Jeffrey Epstein?

Liberals think that “Fidelity” is an insurance company.

If I remember what I was taught in my college psychology and sociology classes correctly, behavior like Hunter Biden’s can be a cry out for attention, “modeled behavior, or a “sex addiction” ( in other words, he’s a horn dog).

I find it extremely amusing that the same Democrats who have attacked President Trump for the last 3 years concerning his “behavior” toward the opposite sex are keeping as quiet as church mice concerning their own sexual scandals which are about to bust wide open.

Perhaps that is why they are stupidly arguing that Senate Leader Mitch McConnell is treating THEM unfairly by not allowing witnesses in the upcoming Senate Impeachment Trial when they met in secret and stacked the deck against President Trump and the Republicans during the House’s Kangaroo Court which they euphemistically called an “Impeachment Inquiry”.

They want no mention of what the Bidens and other Democrats did in Ukraine…and they certainly don’t want any hint of the Democrats’ deep connections to Weinstein and Epstein explored anytime soon.

Pelosi, Schumer, and the rest of the Far Left Democrats have as much chance of convincing Americans that theirs is a “righteous case” as that CBS Show from a couple of years ago with Liberal Lesbian Jane Lynch playing an alcoholic Guardian Angel had of being accepted by the American viewing public.

There’s one “Yuge” problem with acting pious like the Democrats currently are.

There was only one Perfect Man.

And, we just celebrated His Birthday.

Until He Comes,

Christmas 2019: “One Solitary Life” Made All the Difference

P1120609

‘Tis the season for Christmas movies.

From the Hallmark romance movies to Bill Murray’s “Scrooged” to “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation”, there are movies to be found on television for everyone’s taste. However, there is none quite like Frank Capra’s “It’s a Wonderful Life”, the Holiday Classic starring Jimmy Stewart.

In the movie, Stewart plays the role of George Bailey, an average man whom, through a series of circumstances, finds himself living a life which he had never really envisioned himself leading. When dire circumstances arise, he contemplates killing himself, only to be stopped by an angel named Clarence, who shows him what his hometown would be like if he had never been born.

After viewing the difference which he had made in his sphere of influence, Stewart prays to the Lord to return him back to his family and his life.

The movie ends happily, with all the people whom he had helped over the years coming to his aid in his moment of crisis.

The last time I watched this movie, I had not seen it in quite a while and I found myself with tears in my eyes at the end of it.

It was then that I realized that God puts us where He wants us to be.

It is up to us to navigate around the pitfalls of life caused by our own Free Will by using the Gift of Discernment which we have been blessed with and by listening to that Still Small Voice which resides within each and every one of us.

Each and every one of us can make a difference within our own sphere of influence.

However, there remains only One who walked this Earth in human form who is still making a difference and whose birth we celebrate today.

Many stories have been written about Him.

On this Christmas Day, please allow me to present to you one of the best and the gentleman who wrote it.

Dr. James Allan Francis was born in Nova Scotia, Canada. He became a pastor at age twenty-one and served in ministry for the remainder of his life. His first pastorate was in New York City at the Riverside Baptist Church, and after serving in other varied pastorates in the East, he came to Los Angeles in 1914.

Though he had a busy life as a pastor, Francis was able to publish a handful of books: Drops from a Living Fountain (1895), Christ’s Mould of Prayer (1924), and Christ is All And Other Sermons (1928). His publications are full of passionate encouragement for Christians to know their Lord, to rely on him, and to follow his example.

Francis’ most famous words, now known as “One Solitary Life,” originated as part of a sermon that he delivered on July 11, 1926 to the Baptist Young People’s Union at a Los Angeles Convention. A friend transcribed the message titled “Arise, Sir Knight,” and Dr. Francis published it that same year in a collection called The Real Jesus and Other Sermons.

Here is a man who was born in an obscure village as the child of a peasant woman.

He grew up in another obscure village.

He worked in a carpenter shop until he was thirty and then for three years was an itinerant preacher.

He never wrote a book.

He never held an office.

He never owned a home.

He never had a family.

He never went to college.

He never put his foot inside a big city.

He never traveled two hundred miles from the place where he was born.

He never did one of the things that usually accompany greatness.

He had no credentials but himself.

He had nothing to do with this world except the naked power of his divine manhood.

While still a young man the tide of popular opinion turned against him.

His friends ran away.

One of them denied him.

Another betrayed him.

He was turned over to his enemies.

He went through the mockery of a trial.

He was nailed upon the cross between two thieves.

His executioners gambled for the only piece of property he had on earth while he was dying, and that was his coat.

When he was dead, he was taken down and laid in a borrowed grave through the pity of a friend.

Nineteen wide centuries have come and gone and today he is the center of the human race and the leader of the column of progress.

I am far within the mark when I say that all the armies that ever marched, and all the navies that were ever built, and all the parliaments that ever sat and all the kings that ever reigned, put together, have not affected the life of man upon the earth as powerfully as has this one solitary life.

Today, we celebrate the birth of Our Savior Jesus Christ.

As you spend today with your family and friends, please stop for a moment and say a prayer for our nation and those who are away from home, protecting you and me.

Please allow me to close with one of my favorite Christmas songs, featuring a remarkable performance by the man who wrote it, Mark Lowry.

God bless us, everyone.

From the Innkeeper’s Point of View

NativityLuke 2:  1-7 (ASV):

1 Now it came to pass in those days, there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be enrolled.

2 This was the first enrolment made when Quirinius was governor of Syria.

3 And all went to enrol themselves, every one to his own city.

4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family of David;

5 to enrol himself with Mary, who was betrothed to him, being great with child.

6 And it came to pass, while they were there, the days were fulfilled that she should be delivered.

7 And she brought forth her firstborn son; and she wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.

I remember it like it was yesterday.  Caesar Augustus had come up with the bright idea that a census should be taken of the whole Roman Empire, in order to more effectively tax the stew out of all of us.

It especially hurt small businessmen like me.  You see, I’m nothing but a lowly innkeeper, barely keeping my head above water, working 16 hour days.  Oy!  I could continue to gripe, but who would listen?

Anyway, like I said, Caesar decreed that everyone should get themselves registered for the Census.  In terms of business, that actually turned out to be a good thing.

I was about to lock up for the night, when a young man and  woman came to the door.  He was a strong, rugged-looking young man.  I think he was a carpenter.  She was a beautiful, pregnant little thing.  Bless her heart, she looked like she would deliver at any moment.  Their names were Joseph and Mary.

My inn was packed, for once, and I had no rooms available.  But, some part of my heart told me that I just couldn’t send them away, so I offered them my stable, which would at least offer some protection from the elements.

What happened that night was wondrous.  Men are still talking about it to this day.  A precious little baby boy was born that night and the most miraculous things happened.  People said that animals actually spoke!  And, the local shepherds said that angels came to them and told them about this baby.  They sang His praises and told the shepherds that they needed to come to my stable to see and worship that little baby.

Three wise men, sent by Herod, showed up later, bearing gifts for that special infant.  They were overcome by that little one and decided that they would not report back to Herod, but, instead, would return to their homes.

It was quite a remarkable time.  As the years went by, I heard stories about that child.  They named Him Jesus.  He grew in knowledge and stature.  At 12, his parents lost Him.  They found Him in the synagogue, teaching the old men that should have been teaching Him!  Can you imagine?

He grew up working beside His father in his carpentry business and when He was 30, I heard that He was baptized by that wild man, John The Baptist.  According to witnesses, the heavens parted, and they heard the voice of God saying:

This is my beloved son, in whom I am well pleased.

For three years, He traveled with a group of twelve disciples, performing miracles, preaching and teaching about God’s love and His plan for mankind.

And, now I’ve heard that just yesterday, they nailed Him to a cross, executing Him as they would a common criminal.

So sad.  But, you know, there is a still, small voice inside of me that’s telling me that His story is not over, yet.

I truly hope that you enjoyed this post today.  I originally wrote the preceding story 9 years ago today in honor of this special night.

Tonight, we celebrate the birth of Our Savior Jesus Christ.  In closing, I want to share two videos with you.  The first is a video entitled, “That’s my King!”, as read by Dr. S.M. Lockridge.  The second video is a song that I’ve had the privilege of singing in choirs many times, “The Hallelujah Chorus”, which has become a favorite of Believers everywhere.

Merry Christmas to you and yours!  And may God bless us, everyone!

Socialism in America Vs. the Real “Reason for the Season”

washington

I began writing my daily articles in April of 2010.

Over nine and one-half years later, the struggle to prevent Liberals from rewriting our nation’s history continues…as does the fight to keep the greed and avarice of those promoting the installment of Marxist Theory in our political, medical, and religious institutions from consuming our nation in a fire of self-destruction, as it has other nations before us.

As we Americans prepare to celebrate this most holy of nights, I can’t help to think about the “Reason for the Season” and the “State of the Union” as it relates to Jesus Christ.

Friends have asked me if I believe that Christ would be in favor of the “Social Justice” movement that has infiltrated some churches in America, replacing Christian Doctrine with a Modern Liberal Political Agenda.

In order for you to understand how I and the overwhelming majority of Americans living here in the Heartland feel about that question, I believe you first need a working knowledge as to whom Jesus was.

As some of you know, I was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. The following piece was written in 1912 by the editor of the Commercial Appeal in Memphis, Tennessee, C.P.J. Mooney. Since then, it has remained so popular, that the newspaper has published it on their Op Ed page every year at Christmas.

JESUS, THE PERFECT MAN

There is no other character in history like that of Jesus.

As a preacher, as a doer of things, and as a philosopher, no man ever had the sweep and the vision of Jesus.

A human analysis of the human actions of Jesus brings to view a rule of life that is amazing in its perfect detail.

The system of ethics Jesus taught during His Earthly sojourn 2,000 years ago was true then, has been true in every century since and will be true forever.

Plato was a great thinker and learned in his age, but his teachings did not stand the test of time. In big things and in little things time and human experience have shown that he erred.

Marcus Aurelius touched the reflective mind of the world, but he was as cold and austere as brown marble. …

Thomas a Kempis’ Imitation of Christ is a thing of rare beauty and sympathy, but it is, as its name indicates, only an imitation.

Sir Thomas More’s Utopia is yet a dream that cannot be realized.

Lord Bacon writing on chemistry and medicine under the glasses of the man working in a 20th century laboratory is puerile.

The world’s most learned doctors until 150 years ago gave dragon’s blood and ground tails of lizards and shells of eggs for certain ailments. The great surgeons a hundred years ago bled a man if he were wounded.

Napoleon had the world at his feet for four years, and when he died the world was going on its way as if he had never lived.

JESUS TAUGHT little as to property because He knew there were things of more importance than property. He measured property and life, the body and soul, at their exact relative value. He taught much more as to character, because character is of more importance than dollars.

Other men taught us to develop systems of government. Jesus taught so as to perfect the minds of men. Jesus looked to the soul, while other men dwelled on material things.

After the experience of 2,000 years no man can find a flaw in the governmental system outlined by Jesus.

Czar and kaiser, president and socialist, give to its complete merit their admiration.

No man today, no matter whether he follows the doctrine of Mill, Marx or George as to property, can find a false principle in Jesus’s theory of property.

In the duty of a man to his fellow, no sociologist has ever approximated the perfection of the doctrine laid down by Jesus in His Sermon on the Mount.

Not all the investigations of chemists, not all the discoveries of explorers, not all the experiences of rulers, not all the historical facts that go to make up the sum of human knowledge on this day in 1912 are in contradiction to one word uttered or one principle laid down by Jesus.

The human experiences of 2,000 years show that Jesus never made a mistake. Jesus never uttered a doctrine that was true at that time and then became obsolete.

Jesus spoke the truth, and the truth is eternal.

History has no record of any other man leading a perfect life or doing everything in logical order. Jesus is the only person whose every action and whose every utterance strike a true note in the heart and mind of every man born of woman. He never said a foolish thing, never did a foolish act and never dissembled.

No poet, no dreamer, no philosopher loved humanity with all the love that Jesus bore toward all men.

WHO, THEN, was Jesus?

He could not have been merely a man, for there never was a man who had two consecutive thoughts absolute in truthful perfection.

Jesus must have been what Christendom proclaims Him to be — a divine being — or He could not have been what He was. No mind but an infinite mind could have left behind those things which Jesus gave the world as a heritage.

No, I do not believe that Jesus would be a part of the social justice movement. His was and is a soul-saving movement. One that still brings hundreds of thousand of people to individual salvation on this terrestrial ball every day. A movement that, in fact, was embraced by the founders of this cherished land.

In a opinion piece for ChristianPost.com, Christian Talk Show Host Julie Roys gave the following Five Reasons that Socialism itself is not based on the teachings of Jesus Christ.

1. Socialism is Based on a Materialistic Worldview

According to socialists like Bernie Sanders, the greatest problem in the world is the unequal distribution of wealth.

His website declares: “The issue of wealth and income inequality is the great moral issue of our time, it is the great economic issue of our time, and it is the great political issue of our time.”

This betrays a fundamentally materialistic worldview, which is the basis of socialism.

To socialists, all that really exists is the material world.

2. Socialism Punishes Virtue

Socialists want to distribute wealth to individuals according to their need, regardless of virtue.

As Karl Marx, famously said, “From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.”

However, whenever any institution provides aid, it runs the risk of removing God-designed rewards and consequences. It can punish those who are industrious by making them pay for those who are not. And, it can reward those who aren’t industrious by giving them the fruits of another man’s labor. This is precisely what socialism does.

Interestingly, Marx mooched off others his whole life, and failed to provide for his wife and children.

As Aristotle once noted, “Men start revolutionary changes for reasons connected with their private lives.”

The Bible teaches that aid should be tied to responsibility. First, anyone who refuses to work should be refused aid.

3. Socialism Endorses Stealing

Barack Obama once defended his socialist policies to a little girl by saying, “We’ve got to make sure that people who have more money help the people who have less money. If you had a whole pizza, and your friend had no pizza, would you give him a slice?”

That sounds pretty Christian, right? What Christian wouldn’t endorse sharing your abundance with someone who has nothing? However, Obama wasn’t endorsing people voluntarily sharing their wealth with others; he was endorsing the government forcibly taking a piece of the pie from one person and giving it to someone else. Put another way, that’s saying that if you have three cars and your neighbor has none, the government has a right to take your car and give it to your neighbor. That’s not Christian; that’s stealing!

But, socialists don’t believe in private property. And, some Christian socialists actually assert that the Bible doesn’t either. That’s preposterous.

Both the Old Testament and New Testament unequivocally affirm private property. We can’t even obey the eighth commandment to not steal, unless we accept the notion of private ownership. Nor, can we steward our money as the Bible commands if the state owns our money, not us.

4. Socialism Encourages Envy and Class Warfare

Socialists demonize the rich, blaming all of society’s problems on them.

Bernie Sanders once posted to his Facebook Page: “Let us wage a moral and political war against the billionaires and corporate leaders on Wall Street and elsewhere, whose policies and greed are destroying the middle class of America.”

Here, Sanders is mimicking Karl Marx, who viewed history as a series of class struggles between the rich and the poor — and advocated overthrowing the ruling class.

Scripture strongly warns the rich and powerful not to oppress the poor.

In fact, Proverbs 14:31 says, “Whoever oppresses the poor shows contempt for his maker . . .”

But, Sanders — and other Leftists, including Hillary Clinton — go far beyond decrying specific acts of injustice. They basically condemn an entire class of people simply for possessing wealth. And, they encourage those who are poor to overthrow them. In fact, Clinton once said the U.S. economy required a “toppling” of the wealthiest 1%.

The rich are not causing all the problems in American society. People like Bill Gates are not acquiring wealth by stealing from the masses. They’re creating great products, which produce wealth, and actually provide jobs for many people. But, even if they were exploiting the poor, nowhere does Scripture support the have-nots demanding money from the haves. Instead, it teaches that we should not covet (Exodus 20:17) and should be content in all circumstances (Phil. 4:11-13).

5. Socialism Seeks to Destroy Marriage & Family

A little known fact about socialism is that, from its beginning, it has sought to destroy marriage and family. Grove City Professor Paul Kengor explains this in detail in his book, Takedown: From Communists to Progressives, How the Left Has Sabotaged Marriage and Family. Essentially, what socialism seeks is for the state to replace the family. That way, it can indoctrinate children in its Leftist way of thinking, and remove from them any notions of God and religion.

Friedrich Engels, co-author with Marx of the “The Communist Manifesto,” once wrote that the society he envisioned would be one where “the single family ceases to be the economic unit of society. Private housekeeping is transformed into a social industry. The care and education of the children becomes a public affair.”

Similarly today, Bernie Sanders calls for a “revolution” in childcare and for the government to provide early childhood education beginning with children as young as six-weeks-old. And, he’s a proud supporter of gay marriage — what Kengor calls “communism’s Trojan Horse” to secure the final takedown of traditional marriage.

To socialists, what Bernie describes is a utopia. But, to Christians, it’s a dystopia. That’s because there’s nothing Christian about socialism — and there’s absolutely no way Jesus would ever support it.

America was not founded to be a Socialist Nation.

The following is courtesy of adherents.com:

There were 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence. There were 48 signers of the Articles of Confederation. All 55 delegates who participated in the Constitutional Convention of 1787 are regarded as Founding Fathers, in fact, they are often regarded as the Founding Fathers because it is this group that actually debated, drafted and signed the U.S. Constitution, which is the basis for the country’s political and legal system. Only 39 delegates actually signed the document, however, meaning there were 16 non-signing delegates – individuals who were Constitutional Convention delegates but were not signers of the Constitution.

There were 95 Senators and Representatives in the First Federal Congress. If one combines the total number of signatures on the Declaration, the Articles of Confederation and the Constitution with the non-signing Constitutional Convention delegates, and then adds to that sum the number of congressmen in the First Federal Congress, one obtains a total of 238 “slots” or “positions” in these groups which one can classify as “Founding Fathers” of the United States. Because 40 individuals had multiple roles (they signed multiple documents and/or also served in the First Federal Congress), there are 204 unique individuals in this group of “Founding Fathers.” These are the people who did one or more of the following:

– signed the Declaration of Independence
– signed the Articles of Confederation
– attended the Constitutional Convention of 1787
– signed the Constitution of the United States of America
– served as Senators in the First Federal Congress (1789-1791)
– served as U.S. Representatives in the First Federal Congress

The religious affiliations of these individuals are summarized below. Obviously this is a very restrictive set of names, and does not include everyone who could be considered an “American Founding Father.” But most of the major figures that people generally think of in this context are included using these criteria, including George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Samuel Adams, Benjamin Franklin, John Adams, John Hancock, James Madison, Alexander Hamilton and more.

The Founding Fathers were, without a doubt, aware of the following passage:

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. – 2 Corinthians 3:17

The Liberals and Atheists who reply to my daily articles, after they view them on SpartaReport.com, my personal blog site, and on Facebook, insist that Crosses and other Christian symbols have no place in the Public Square. They wish for Christians to remain unseen and unheard from, worshiping in private, and for Christian Americans to “compromise” our Faith…i.e., shut up about Homosexual Marriage and other sins, being used as political expediencies to further an agenda to “radically change” America into something that it was never meant to be.

Well, y’all can wish for a unicorn to magically appear in your backyard…but that ain’t gonna happen, either.

As a free nation, all you who are non-believers have every right to exercise your faith.

However, as Orthodox Rabbi Daniel Lapin of the Jewish Policy Center clearly explains:

[I] understand that I live . . . in a Christian nation, albeit one where I can follow my faith as long as it doesn’t conflict with the nation’s principles. The same option is open to all Americans and will be available only as long as this nation’s Christian roots are acknowledged and honored.

…Without a vibrant and vital Christianity, America is doomed, and without America, the west is doomed. Which is why I, an Orthodox Jewish rabbi, devoted to Jewish survival, the Torah, and Israel am so terrified of American Christianity caving in. God help Jews if America ever becomes a post-Christian society! Just think of Europe!

Is the Rabbi prophetic? I pray that he isn’t.

I have, however, noticed in the last few years, a propensity among those who have not been raised in a Christian home, to be intolerant toward those who have…as witnessed in public forms, ranging from Collegiate Classrooms to Facebook Political Pages.

Americans’ Christian Faith, of which approximately 3/4ths of us, according to Gallup, still anchor our lives around, has been the Solid Rock upon which our nation was built. To deny that, is to deny reality, to re-write history, and, to, quite frankly, endanger “the Shining City on a Hill”.

To put it bluntly…

The “Reason for the Season” is The Reason American Exists.

As President Ronald Reagan said,

If we ever forget that we are One Nation Under God, then we will be a nation gone under.

That being said, isn’t it interesting that those among us who claim to be the most tolerant are actually the least tolerant of all?

And, those who claim to be champions of “personal freedom” are enemies of the religious freedom secured for us in the United States Constitution?

When the Democrats took over the House of Representatives we watched the Republicans talked about Freedom and Responsibility and the Democrats who talk about the right of “citizens”, both legal and illegal, to “free stuff” like “socialized medicine”, while their absolute disdain for average Americans and their visceral hatred of President Donald J. Trump tore apart the country, leading them to vote for Impeachment over nothing at all.

Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. – Matthew 7:20

In closing, be of good cheer and remember the words of a great old Christmas Hymn…

There is a Great Joy a’coming!

The Movie “Cats” Coughs Up a Hairball.

Cats-Movie-Terrifying

I am glad that I did not decide to become a Movie Critic.

I would probably be in therapy by now.

FoxBusiness.com reports that

Universal Pictures is distributing an updated version of the critically maligned film “Cats” to theaters, according to a memo obtained by The Hollywood Reporter.

THR reports that director Tom Hooper pushed for the new version which the memo says has “some improved visual effects.”

The film pulled in a dismal $6.5 million at the box office on opening weekend, while receiving a C+ rating on the moviegoer-surveying website CinemaScore.

The film cost $100 million to make, and features the likes of James Cordon, Idris Elba, Jennifer Hudson and Judi Dench.

The film, which heavily utilized CGI effects, was barely finished by the Dec. 17 world premiere, according to Hooper himself.

Judging from these critics featured in a story by The Hollywood Reporter, perhaps they should not have finished the movie.

The Hollywood Reporter’s David Rooney describes the visual appearance of the feline characters — who were going to be animated at one stage during the film’s development — as off-putting, verging on creepy. He also comments that their proportions are inconsistent in relation to certain environments, noting, “Sometimes they go from appearing minuscule to giant-size within the same scene.” Rooney goes on to call the film “virtually plotless,” comparing it to a “Ziegfeld Follies-type revue with a series of thinly connected specialty numbers rather than a narrative that invites much involvement.” Overall, the critic found the film “exhausting,” despite a cast, including “class acts [Judi] Dench and [Ian] McKellen,” who worked hard with the material.

Richard Lawson writes in Vanity Fair that after seeing the film, he had more questions than answers. “It’s an existential quandary, this 110-minute journey into a computer graphic phantasmagoria, revolting and briefly alluring, a true grotesque that sings, in fits and starts, a faint siren song,” says the critic. He adds that he left the premiere “ready to toss an easy critical bomb at it and be done with old 2019.” Lawson goes on to acknowledge that he doesn’t want to downright hate the film, referencing its talented cast and crew while noting, “It’s an ugly stray who smells bad and should not be invited into your home, certainly. And yet it is its own kind of living creature, worthy of at least some basic compassion.”

Slant Magazine’s Jake Cole writes that Hooper’s adaptation “gets straight to the heart of the material, which is basically two hours of stray cats introducing themselves.” He further notes that the film runs at such a dizzying speed that “it’s as if the original Broadway cast recording were being played at 1.5x speed and the visuals were paced to match.” The critic also references the peculiar song sequencing, erratic sound mixing and camera moves that never linger on a scene long enough to take in any real action. He concludes, “Not even the showstopping “Memory” has any soul, despite Hudson’s spirited rendition as the fallen, downtrodden Grizabella, thanks to the clumsy manner in which Hooper rushes through every movement.”

In the Los Angeles Times, Justin Chang references the thin plot of the film, labeling it “Lew Meowserables.” He further acknowledges, “And there is, to be sure, some representational value to be gleaned from these cats and their singing suicidal Olympics. Given how often the movies tend to stereotype felines as smug, pampered homebodies, there are certainly worse characters one could spend time with, though I am hard-pressed at the moment to think of many worse movies.” Chang goes on to call the film “both a horror and an endurance test, a dispatch from some neon-drenched netherworld where the ghastly is inextricable from the tedious. Every so often it does paws — ahem, pause — to rise to the level of a self-aware hoot.”

I actually saw the play “Cats” in a touring production in the Memphis Orpheum Theatre several decades ago, when it was “the thing” to go see, according to my ex.

As a musician, I actually enjoyed “The Phantom of the Opera” more.

But, I digress.

It always amazes me what the Liberals in charge of the Entertainment Industry in Hollywood believe that movie goers want to leave the comfort of their homes to come to a crowded movie theatre to see.

It is not just the fact that “Cats” is competing with the latest film in the “Star Wars” Franchise that is the cause of its horrendous box office.

Look at the words of the Hollywood Critics, all Liberals themselves:

“vitually plotless”

“exhausting”

“an ugly stray who smells bad” (I like this one.)

“Lew Meowserables”

“both a horror and an endurance test” (reminiscent of the House Impeachment, huh?)

Speaking of the House Impeachment (How did you like that segueway?)

The attitude of the Hollywood Executives, Producers, Directors, and writers who put out junk like this reminds me of the attitude of Pelosi and the rest of the Democrats who believed that average Americans would buy what they were selling if they could just prove to us how brilliant they were for subjecting us to it.

Here’s some bad news for “The Smartest People in the Room” in both D.C. and Hollywood:

Average Americans are taught from childhood to recognize when someone’s trying to get them to buy a bunch of garbage wrapped up in a pretty bow.

Both “Cats” The Movie and Pelosi’s Democratic House Impeachment of President Trump belong in a litter box.

The New Pharisees: CNN’s Cuomo Accuses Trump of “Making a Mockery of Christianity”

flag-and-cross

Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples, “The scribes and the Pharisees sit on Moses’ seat, so practice and observe whatever they tell you—but not what they do. For they preach, but do not practice.” – Matthew 23: 1-3

FoxNews.com reports that

CNN anchor Chris Cuomo had some harsh criticisms of President Trump Friday, accusing him of “making a mockery” of Christianity and of not “practicing humanity.”

Prominent evangelical magazine Christianity Today made headlines on Thursday with an editorial calling for Trump’s from office following his impeachment due to the Ukraine scandal.

On Friday night, Cuomo sparred with pro-Trump evangelical radio host Eric Metaxas over his staunch support for the president despite his faith.

Metaxas began explaining his support for Trump by comparing him to a pilot with “tattoos” and a “fourth wife,” stressing that he’s still an “amazing pilot” aside from things being “complicated.”

Cuomo compared Christian voters’ opposition to President Clinton during his impeachment 20 years ago and how they “played ‘Character counts'” and “morality'” to their support of Trump, who Cuomo insisted “passes none of those tests.”

“If those tests don’t matter anymore, it’s just getting your judges and getting the political positions,” Cuomo said.”

Metaxas then accused Cuomo of “sophistry” for interpreting Christian religious liberty as “your ability to exclude other people because you don’t like them.”

“Religious liberty meant ‘I’m a Christian. I don’t want to bake your cake. I don’t want to look at you. I don’t want to sell to you…” claimed Cuomo, who later suggested such exclusion could happen to “black people.”

The conversation then shifted to abortion, where Cuomo argued that the passing of Roe v. Wade was the “viability test” that Metaxas suggested should be enforced by law. The CNN anchor advised the evangelical host that “instead of weaponizing and distorting the truth,” Christians should push for “more scientific research about when life begins,” since there’s “too much of a range.” He eventually brought the discussion back to Trump.

“You have a choice of a lot of candidates who believe what you believe when it comes to reproductive rights. Why get behind a man who makes a mockery of your faith?” Cuomo asked.

“I certainly don’t think- most people that I know do not think he makes a mockery of our faith,” Metaxas responded.

“Does he practice any of the things you think are important?” Cuomo persisted.

Metaxas spun the question back to Cuomo, asking him if he thought Trump makes “a mockery of the Catholic faith.”

“If he says he were Catholic, then yeah, he does,” the “Cuomo Prime Time” host answered. “He does not practice humanity, he does not practice decency, he does not love mercy, he is intentionally unkind, he is mean to opponents, he puts himself before the collective, and he doesn’t honor his oath. These all matter to us, don’t they?”

He added, “I don’t understand how people who believe what you believe get behind somebody who does not.”

Have you ever heard the old expression “One lies and the other swears to it.”?

Whoever came up with it must have had today’s Democratic Party and Main Stream Media in mind.

In the case of President Donald J. Trump, as I have archived in previous posts, Dr. James Dobson, the Christian Leader who founded “Focus on the Family”, said before the 2016 Presidential Election about Trump’s faith that

Only the Lord knows the condition of a person’s heart. I can only tell you what I’ve heard. First, Trump appears to be tender to things of the Spirit. I also hear that Paula White has known Trump for years and that she personally led him to Christ. Do I know that for sure? No. Do I know the details of that alleged conversion? I can’t say that I do. But there are many Christian leaders who are serving on a faith advisory committee for Trump in the future. I am among them. There are about 25 of us that include Jerry Falwell, Jr., Robert Jeffress, Jack Graham, Ben Carson, James Robison, Michele Bachmann, and many others whom you would probably know. We’ve all agreed to serve. How will that play out if Trump becomes president? I don’t know. It is a good start, I would think.

If anything, this man is a baby Christian who doesn’t have a clue about how believers think, talk and act. All I can tell you is that we have only two choices, Hillary or Donald. Hillary scares me to death. And, if Christians stay home because he isn’t a better candidate, Hillary will run the world for perhaps eight years. The very thought of that haunts my nights and days. One thing is sure: we need to be in prayer for our nation at this time of crisis.

Dr. Dobson was not alone.

The thought of Hillary becoming President of the United States of America scared a lot of Americans…and still does.

But, I digress…

The Main Stream Media and their fellow Democrats in Hollywood almost imploded over the last couple of years, like vampires exposed to sunlight, with new accusations of sexual harassment coming forth every day from coast to coast during the so-called “me-Too” Movement.

Still, they seen to be pretty much oblivious to these accusations, as the above article about Chris Cuomo’s comments exemplifies.

Just like the vainglorious Pharisees in Christ’s time, these new Pharisees have their noses so far up into the air that they fail to recognize their own sin while accusing others of sinful behavior.

And, as Cuomo did, they attack average Christian Americans about supporting a ‘flawed man” in President Trump, while bringing up that they stood up against Former President Clinton and his tryst with Monica Lewinsky.

The Main Stream Media and their masters who run the Democratic Party have lost all their credibility by launching witch hunt after fruitless witch hunt against President Donald J. Trump.

Given their Liberal belief system, which includes approval of ripping babies out of their mother’s womb and turning the sacred ceremony of marriage into a justification ritual for the same behavior that got Sodom and Gomorrah wiped off the map, that’s one heck of a Glass House that they’re throwing stones from.

I am glad for their sakes that the Libs in the Democratic Party and the Main Stream Media can reach back and “snatch a little purity” as Paul Simon wrote and sang in his song “Loves Me Like a Rock”.

However, they are fooling no one with their claims to possess the Moral High Ground.

For as Christ said in James 2:19…

You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that–and shudder.

And, as regards their Liberal Hypocrisy, Matthew 7:5 gives the Democratic Party and their Propaganda Arm, the Main Stream Media, some great advice…

You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.

AG Barr: Soros Bankrolling Radical Prosecutor Candidates in Cities Across the Country

Soros-1200x630 (2)

Just how deeply does Far Left Billionaire Financier George Soros have his money invested in “Radically Changing” America through our political system?

FoxNews.com reports that

Attorney General William Barr has warned that liberal billionaire George Soros has been bankrolling radical prosecutor candidates in cities across the country.

In an interview that aired Friday on “The Story,” Barr said that the Hungarian-American activist is likely relying on the routinely low turnout in local primary elections to help his candidates win.

“There’s this recent development [where] George Soros has been coming in, in largely Democratic primaries where there has not been much voter turnout and putting in a lot of money to elect people who are not very supportive of law enforcement and don’t view the office as bringing to trial and prosecuting criminals but pursuing other social agendas,” Barr told Martha MacCallum.

“They have started to win in a number of cities and they have, in my view, not given the proper support to the police.”

Barr warned that if the trend continues, it will lead to more violent crime. However, he pushed back on claims police officers will “withdraw” from communities that elect or install left-wing prosecutors who are not amenable to normal policing.

Instead, Barr said the process of electing these prosecutors will likely cause law enforcement officers to consider whether the leadership in their municipality “has their back.”

“They can either stop policing or they can move to a jurisdiction more hospitable,” he said. “We could find ourselves in a position that communities that are not supporting the police may not get the police protection they need.”

Last month, two Virginia prosecutorial candidates ousted incumbents in local Democratic primaries — after Soros’ Justice and Public Safety PAC poured nearly a million dollars into their campaigns.

He backed Parisa Dehghani-Tafti to beat Arlington County Commonwealth’s Attorney Theo Stamos, and supported former Justice Department employee Steve Descano in his race against Fairfax County Commonwealth’s Attorney Raymond Morrogh. Campaign finance reports show Dehghani-Tafti received $583,000 and Descano received $392,000 just from that PAC. Meanwhile, Stamos and Morrogh raised $162,000 and $242,000, respectively, for their entire campaigns.

The money gave Tafti and Descano a significant financial advantage over the incumbents, despite their lack of experience. The Washington Post reported that while the two challengers have never prosecuted a case in a state court, they beat candidates with more than 60 years of experience between them.

Both were also boosted by Democratic former Gov. Terry McAuliffe, who said Stamos and Morrogh had pushed back against his effort to restore voting rights of convicted felons after they serve their time. But supporters of the incumbents said the role that money played was significant.

George Soros is the “Vladimir Lenin” of our time.

As was the case in the Russian Revolution, any “Democratic Socialist” nation we see around our Modern World, went through a course-altering revolution, whether through a violent overthrow of the Government or through a “radical change” in the political ideology of their nation and the way that their populace voted in the subsequent election.

I firmly believe that the mission of Billionaire Financier George Soros and all of the Far Left Organizations and Democratic Party Politicians whom he supports, is what his political puppet, Former (Thank God) President Barack Hussein Obama, said that his was during his first presidential campaign: to “radically change” our nation into something that every patriotic American will no longer recognize.

America’s Alt-Left, which President Trump identified by name during the 2017 “Press Conference which shall forever be known as the “Trump Tower Thrashing” is a fringe group of radicalized young people, who grew up during the Obama Administration being programmed by “Organizing for America”, Liberal College Professors, and a pop culture which told them that to love America and to respect her history and those who had gone before them, was “jingoistic”.

Gutfield was exactly right. the protestors in D.C. ARE a bunch of mind-numbed robots.

They have been told through indoctrination that it is evil to try to be better than others….to achieve and make their own way.

They have been told that everyone “should be equal” and those who do achieve should “share the wealth”.

This programming led these young minds full of mush to become the “useful idiots” (as Communists used to call their dupes in the Cold War) whom we have been watching on television for the last decade as they attack America’s History, our Constitutional method of deciding our leaders, our duly elected President, and even, how we select our Supreme Court Justices.

Now with the push to bestow the civil rights of American citizens to those who have entered our Sovereign Country illegally, Soros’ covert and overt support of the perpetually grieved protesters, paid to stage organized demonstrations which morph into riots and his meddling in local and elections, America is being attacked from within.

That is why the election of Donald J. Trump to the Presidency was so very important.

Trump was elected to put the brakes on this “New Revolution” purposefully designed to “radically change” America into just another “Democratic Socialist Nation”.

Now is the time to stop George Soros and these “New Bolsheviks”, before history repeats itself on this side of the Atlantic, over 100 years later.

Freeze the assets of George Soros, including those of the organizations which he controls, like Media Matters and the Open Society Institute.

Then deport him….or arrest him for sedition, lock him up, and throw away the key.

America’s survival as a free nation depends on it.
