When Did Unacceptable Behavior Become Acceptable?

It’s Sunday and here’s your quick thought for today: When did unacceptable behavior become acceptable? I realize that some people in our society never received any home training, but things have gotten ridiculous. President Trump can’t hold a rally without some mom’s basement dweller coming out with a professionally-made sign trying to disrupt the rally. It’s gotten so bad that recently in  the middle of a Memphis City Council meeting, Tennessee State Representative Justin Pearson, the Democratic candidate for Senate in the area, came in with a bullhorn and a bunch of paid protesters disrupting the meeting in which they were discussing the placement of a data center. Of course, he brought the bullhorn so he could shout everybody down. This is not the first time he’s disrupted a meeting, as he disrupted the state legislature in Tennessee a couple of years ago. But it’s not just the political arena in which unacceptable behavior seems to be the rule of the day. From these Babylonian-style teen parties in the middle of city streets, to behavior like my wife and I experienced while we got an early dinner at a Chinese Wok restaurant yesterday afternoon in which four people went and filled their little bowls up to about a foot high to take to the cooks to add rice or noodles so they could buy one meal and take home and feed six people (or eat for a week). There seems to be, in at least part of this American society, no limits as to what some can get by with. Look at how the Democrats have embraced and championed those who commit crimes, including the crime of invading our own country. If people do not learn how to express themselves or enjoy themselves without hurting others or disrupting society, America will not grow and prosper. Just like ancient Rome, we will literally be destroyed from within.

Until He Comes,

KJ
