“I’ve noticed that everyone who is for abortion has already been born.” – Ronald Reagan
FoxNews.com reports that
Entertainment giants Netflix and Disney are threatening to pull their business out of Georgia over the state’s recently-enacted “heartbeat” abortion bill but maintains unwavering partnerships with countries like Egypt, where abortions are illegal, and China, where Muslims are being held in internment camps.
Earlier this week, Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos issued a statement on the growing movement in Hollywood to boycott Georgia over the new pro-life legislation which prohibits abortions if a baby’s heartbeat is detected, which is roughly six weeks into the pregnancy.
“We have many women working on productions in Georgia, whose rights, along with millions of others, will be severely restricted by this law,” Sarandos said. “Given the legislation has not yet been implemented, we’ll continue to film there, while also supporting partners and artists who choose not to. Should it ever come into effect, we’d rethink our entire investment in Georgia.”
As The Daily Caller reports, Netflix has had multiple productions made in Egypt, where abortions are completely outlawed except when the mother’s life is at risk and in the case of fetal abnormalities. They have also had shows made in Jordan, where abortion laws are “very restrictive.”
Disney is also weighing its options.
“I think if the bill becomes law, it will be very difficult to produce or I’ll doubt we will,” Disney CEO Bob Iger said. “I think many people who work for us will not want to work there, and we will have to heed their wishes in that regard.”
While Disney is considering boycotting Georgia, The Daily Caller reports the studio maintains a healthy relationship with China, where they recently opened a $5.5 billion resort in Shanghai. China has come under international criticism for its operation of internment camps in remote areas of the country where millions of Turkic Muslims are imprisoned.
The fact that Netflix is nothing but a bunch of Liberal Hypocrites, I can understand.
After all, they have put the Obamas and their cronies on their production staff.
However, I wonder what Walt Disney would think about this?
Mr. Disney’s legacy was built upon family entertainment. From Mickey Mouse to Davy Crockett to “Flubber”, when films had the Disney name attached to them, you knew that it was going to be clean, wholesome entertainment.
Now though, the Disney Empire is run by Liberals, who have no problem interjecting their political viewpoint into their product as witnessed by the television programming currently found on ABC and ESPN.
Conservative programming is nonexistent.
Especially since they took Tim Allen’s popular sitcom “Last Man Standing” off the air because it was a Conservative program.
But, I digress…
While I am disgusted by the Liberal Hypocrisy being shown by both companies, I am definitely not surprised.
The opinions of those Americans who are Pro-Life, and who are usually Christians, do not seem to be valued by those in the Entertainment Industry, like Netflix and Disney.
This comes from their shared misconception that Christian Americans will not fight back against them and the things they want to say and do in our society.
If there’s one thing during all of the years of anti-Christian bias, which we experienced during the Obama administration, and now, after Christian Americans helped elect American Businessman and Entrepreneur Donald J. Trump as the 45th President, that the Liberals should have learned, is the fact that Christian American Conservatives will fight back.
For a shining example, please refer to how well Christian Family Movies like the “God is Not Dead” Series and the one which Sean Hannity produced have done.
It is funny though…that when we begin fighting back, the Liberals have a tendency to label us as uncaring, mean, divisive, and intolerant.
Which in itself, is ironic, considering the way they treat the faith of 75% of Americans.
The belief in their own superior intelligence has cost the Entertainment Industry dearly in the last several years.
However, you can’t tell them that it is their Liberal beliefs that are alienating them from average Americans.
Isn’t it “funny” how those who claim to be the “most tolerant” among us are actually the least tolerant of all?
And, isn’t ironic that Disney, a company which proclaims that “It’s a Small World After All” won’t stand up for the smallest and most defenseless of all of us?
