Traditional Fairy Tales begin with “Once upon a time”. Southern Redneck Fairy Tales begin with “Y’all ain’t gonna believe this s**t!”
The New York Times has posted a Southern Fairy Tale.
Two years ago, the presidential election hinged in large part on a rightward shift among working-class whites who deserted Democrats.Tuesday’s House election may turn on an equally significant and opposite force: a generational break with the Republican Party among educated, wealthier whites — especially women — who like the party’s pro-business policies but recoil from President Trump’s divisive language on race and gender.
Rather than seeking to coax voters like these back into the Republican coalition, Mr. Trump appears to have all but written them off, spending the final days of the campaign delivering a scorching message about preoccupations like birthright citizenship and a migrant “invasion” from Mexico that these voters see through as alarmist.
In Republican-leaning districts that include diverse populations or about cities that do — from bulwarks of Sunbelt conservatism like Houston and Orange County, Calif., to the well-manicured bedroom communities outside Philadelphia and Minneapolis — the party is in danger of losing its House majority next week because Mr. Trump’s racially-tinged nationalism has alienated these voters who once made up a dependable constituency.
One of those disenchanted voters is J. Mark Metts, a 60-year-old partner at one of this city’s prestigious law firms. Mr. Metts had never voted for a Democratic presidential candidate until 2016. Now he and some of his neighbors in the moneyed River Oaks enclave of Houston are about to oppose a Republican once again, to register their disapproval of President Trump.
“With Congress not really standing up to Trump, this election is becoming a referendum,” Mr. Metts said, explaining why he would no longer support the re-election of Representative John Culberson, an eight-term Republican.
Mr. Culberson is now running roughly even with the Democratic candidate, Lizzie Pannill Fletcher, according to a New York Times/Siena College poll last week — an extraordinary development in a district that has not elected a Democrat since before an oilman named George H.W. Bush won here in 1966, and one that illustrates how difficult Mr. Trump has made it for his party to retain control of the House.
The president amplified his fear-peddling Wednesday night with an online video that is being widely condemned as racist, showing a Mexican man convicted of killing two California deputies with a voice-over saying “Democrats let him into the country.”
Traditional Republicans warn that Mr. Trump’s conduct is further narrowing his party’s appeal on the eve of the election, catering to a rural base in conservative states like Missouri, North Dakota and Montana that will decide control of the Senate at the possible expense of the Republicans’ House majority and crucial governorships.
“The divisiveness may play well in some parts of the country but it doesn’t play everywhere,” said the speaker of the Texas House, Joe Straus, who has sought to keep his party from drifting too far right. “It’s hard to grow a party when your whole approach is to incite the base.”
To see incumbent Republicans like Mr. Culberson or Representative Pete Sessions, whose district is in an affluent part of the Dallas area, locked in difficult re-elections “would have been unthinkable just a few years ago,” said Mr. Straus.
More ominous for the G.O.P. is that the desertion of educated whites following Mr. Trump’s 2016 win could establish a new Democratic coalition in future elections, one that would certainly return to the polls in 2020. That would represent the mirror opposite of 1964, when Barry Goldwater lost the presidential race but made inroads into traditionally Democratic precincts among culturally conservative and economically prosperous voters — presaging Republican success further down the ballot in the years to come.
President Trump is sitting at a 50% approval rating.
I don’t know what you guys have been smoking up in New York City(pronounced like the Pace Picante Sauce commercials), but the Republican Party is actually growing, as more and more Americans smell what your masters in the Democratic Party are shoveling.
The President is not preaching fear at the MAGA Rallies. He is spreading optimism and pride in American Exceptionalism.
Since when is it wrong to be a Proud American?
Nationalism, placing the well-being of Americans Citizens first, is a good thing and is what a being a President should be all about.
In other words, the New York Times and the rest of the Main Stream Media Democratic Party Propaganda Arm, are accusing President Trump of being guilty of believing that America is the greatest country on the face of God’s Green Earth and believing in American Exceptionalism.
During the 8 years of the reign of King Barack The First, children and young adults, attending American Institutes of Learning from kindergarten to college campuses were taught by Liberal teachers and professors that America was “just another country” and to be a patriot or to believe in “Nationalism” was to somehow be close-minded, ignorant, and bigoted, not necessarily in that order.
And now, these clowns from the parakeet cage liner which used the be the majestic and revered “Grey Lady”, the New York times, are asserting that “educated people in the suburbs are disagreeing with Trump’s “Nationalism” .
They really need to visit America’s heartland, where all of us average and EDUCATED Americans live.
Believe of not, y’all, there are actually colleges and universities in “Flyover Country”.
In fact, where the exceptionalism of America actually lies is not in the Halls of Power nor in the Halls of Academia. But, rather in the courage and spirit of the average American. A courage and spirit, which our history proves, has driven American Citizens to build a nation, which is indeed exceptional among all others.
The secret of this country’s exceptionalism is the “Average Joe”, the 9 to 5′er, working himself into the grave to try to provide for his family.
It was this same “Average Joe”, who fired the shot heard around the world and began the War for American Independence, who stormed the beaches of Normandy on D-Day in World War II, who waded through rice paddies in Vietnam, and who swallowed sand in Desert Storm and Desert Shield. The same “Average Joe” who, as a New York City Policeman or Fireman, ran up the stairs of the World Trade Center on 9/11/01, instead of running down them. The same “Average Joe”, who simply wants things to be easier in this life for his children and grandchildren, than he had it.
It is this same “Average Joe”, who takes family and friends in, when they are in the midst of a life-altering tragedy. The same “Average Joe”, who volunteers on a soup line or at a Senior Citizens Home, or, who begins a successful business in his basement.
And, it is this same “Average Joe” whom, being fed up with the Democratic Party’s Far Left Crusade against anything and everything traditionally American, went to the voting booth and elected Donald J. Trump, a Citizen Statesman, as our 45th President.
And, are still #WALKINGAWAY less than a week before the 2018 Midterm Elections.
And that, boys and girls, is why the Liberals are still showing the world their posteriors while continuing to throw the longest mass temper tantrum in recorded history.
As exemplified by the above New York Times article, their ego-driven political ideology does not permit them to consider the reality that theirs is still the minority political ideology in this nation.
While the East and “Left” Coast are indeed heavily populated in their metropolitan areas with Liberals (some of them even Legal Citizens), the reality of what actually happened on November 8th, 2016 can been plainly seen on any Electoral Map.
It was an overestimation of their own intellect and an underestimation of the intelligence and unbridled love of average Americans for OUR COUNTRY, that cost the Democrats the Presidency.
As George Orwell said,
Patriotism is usually stronger than class hatred, and always stronger than internationalism.
So, to summarize, by labeling Patriotism as “Nationalism” and by ridiculing those of us who love our country and hold fast to Traditional American Values, the Democratic Party cost themselves the Presidency…going from the “In Crowd” to the Outhouse.
And, this same attitude is going to cost them in the Midterm Elections next Tuesday.
If I was a Modern American Liberal with any sort of self-awareness, I would be throwing a temper tantrum, too…over my own ungrateful arrogant ignorance that caused the defeat of my Presidential Candidate and is causing the disintegration of my political party.
Patriotism is cool…again!
Until He Comes,
