As I was trying to choose what to write about this morning, a hard, cold fact struck my simple mind:  We are living in a country that has been suffering under the tyranny of a minority. 

Not a racial minority, mind you, but an ideological one.

Allow me to throw some numbers at you:

75 % of Americans self-identify as being Christians.

This country was founded by a group of Christians, seeking freedom from a state-run religion and the tyranny of a massive and oppressive Regime that was overtaxing them to the point of annihilation.  Sound familiar?

I am a real Christian, that is to say, a disciple of the doctrines of Jesus.

Jefferson, as Vice-President, signed legislation authorizing the use of the new Capitol building as a church.

Did you know that the United States Capitol regularly served as a church building?  The practice began even before Congress officially moved into the building and lasted until well after the Civil War.

54 % of Americans are politically Conservative.

This poll was taken by Gallup, right before the Midterm Elections.  It shows that the majority of Americans believe in the Conservative principles of limited government, and American self-determination.

36 % identify themselves as Republicans,  34.7% as Democrats.  This is the first Republican lead ever. 

Rasmussen Reports published this yesterday.  I believe that the gap is actually wider than that.  The move to the Far Left by the Democrat Party has completely removed them from the ideological stance of the average American.

67% of Americans believe that this country is heading in the wrong direction.  88 % of The Beltway Elite believe just the opposite.

Just listen to President Barack Hussein Obama and all his minions.  You would think everything is just peachy.

58% of Americans want Obamacare repealed.

When Nancy Pelosi said:

 We have to pass the bill so that we’ll know what is in it. 

Did anybody else want to kick their television?

This was crammed down the throats of Americans, as if we were too stupid to know what we wanted, as a country

And now, somehow, some of the Republican Congresscritters have gotten it in their heads that there needs to be a compromise on some parts of this Obamanation, instead of defending, repealing, and replacing it.

Pay attention, boys,  You can be voted out, too.

44.7% was Obama’s Job Approval Rating for Obama’s 7th Quarter of his Presidency.  This was a new all-time low, according to Gallup.

And yet, this Alinsky-ite continues to keep the pedal to the metal, forsaking our American Heritage in order to achieve his Socialist Utopian Dream of radically changing the greatest country in the world.

He has intentionally misconstrued the results of the Midterms to mean that Americans want our politicians to work together to pass all of his ideologically driven legislation.

Far from it, Scooter.  Americans just want them to stop you in your quest to turn the Shining City on a Hill into a Third-World Barrio.

The good news is that you’ll have more time to work on your golf game in 2 years. 

57% of Americans say that they are happy.

It’s simple.  The happiness of Americans does not come from the Nanny-state, out-of-control Federal Government of President Barack Hussein Obama.  Americans’ happiness originates from the same Creator that endowed each and every one of us with our inalienable rights.  He has given us, as Americans, the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.  Americans, through His grace, and the love and support of our families and friends, are working to achieve and enjoy those rights everyday. 

When those in power seek to be the Creator of those inalienable rights, they are doomed to failure.  Please reference the Roman Empire and the U.S.S.R. as examples.

The majority of Americans have a great deal in common, Ties That Bind, if you will.  As our external enemies discovered after their cowardly attack on September 11th, 2001, Americans will come together when our neighbors and families are being harmed and our freedom is at stake.

The tyrannical minority who have been ruling with impunity saw a small sampling of Americans’ independent spirit and resolve to remain free on November 2nd, 2010.  So far, they seem blinded by their ideology and own self-importance.

They underestimate Americans.  The tyrannical always have.
