It’s Sunday. Here’s your quick thought for today.
I was reading this morning about a “Satanic Revival” being held up in Maryland somewhere. It wasn’t the article that caught my attention. It was the comments.
As you can imagine, a lot of laughing emojis and smart alec remarks brushing off the very existence of the Fallen Angel formerly known as Lucifer.
I thought about the rise of malevolent forces that we are bearing witness to in this country in the present age.
We have those living in this country who hate 24/7 for no other reason than hate itself.
They hate the concept of a Constitutional Republic and traditional American faith and values, those things that have kept this country free for going on 250 years this July 4th. They hate the family unit, the bedrock of our nation.
And, most importantly they hate the Triune God, Our Creator, Who gave us our individual rights and freedom at birth.
In the comments of the Facebook article that I read this morning, there were people blowing off Satan as a concept, which I find to be dangerously naive.
If you live your life without the god of Abraham and a wary knowledge that there is such a thing as satanic influence, then you open up the floodgates for chaos and anarchy, not only in your own life but also in the lives of those you care about.
And, if enough people do that, countries become ripe for the pickings by those who espouse an evil political ideology.
The Bible tells us that we are fighting against “princes and principalities”.
In our era these “princes and principalities” do their work through social and political ideologies, which lead to failed nations like Venezuela and Cuba.
I’m not saying that that’s going to happen to America.
However, we sure do seem to be in a battle for the hearts and souls of our nation and its future.
Have a blessed Sunday.
Until He Comes,
KJ
