Sochi Olympics: NBC, the National Bolshevik Channel, Praises Putin and Russia

NBC Communist Logo

NBC, the Broadcast Network which brought into our homes American Legends Bob Hope, Johnny Carson David Brinkley, and John Chancellor, is now singing the praises of the ideology of Karl Marx and Vladimir Lenin.

During NBC’s Thursday Night Coverage of the Sochi Olympics, the insufferable Bob Costas said,

Just in the past year, Putin brokered a deal to allow Syria to avoid a U.S. military strike by giving up its chemical weapons…And helped bring Iran to the negotiating table over its nuclear intentions.

The pro-Stalinist Propaganda Canmpaign of the National Bolshevik Channel continued last night, with these words of narration,

The towering presence, the empire that ascended to affirm a colossal footprint. The revolution that birthed one of modern history’s pivotal experiments. But if politics has long shaped our sense of who they are, it’s passion that endures. As a more reliable right to their collective heart. What they build in aspirations lifted by imagination. What they craft, through the wonder of every last detail. How magical the fusion of sound and movement can be. How much a glass of distilled perfection and an overflowing table can matter. Discover the Russian people through these indelible signatures. Discover what we share with them through the games that open here tonight.

During his nationally syndicated radio program yesterday, Rush Limbaugh said,

Why is everybody surprised that NBC News would laud praise over a Soviet KGB leader, when they are his prisoner for two weeks as the televising network? Besides that, there’s not that much ideological difference anyway. People are apparently upset that Costas referred to Putin as a peacemaker. Folks, that’s right. What do you think liberals think of communists? They’re blood brothers!

The communists were the peacemakers.

We were the problem.

We were the ones stirring the drink. We were the ones stirring things up. We were the threat. Reagan’s finger was on the nuclear button. We were always the problem; Gorbachev was always the solution. So here comes Putin, and he’s a tough guy, and he’s being called a peacemaker around the world. That’s not a stretch. I got people coming to this realization. I guess it may be a bit of a positive. It may not. For me, it’s unsurprising.

As usual, El Rushbo was exactly right.

NBC’s anti-American point-of-view has been extremely obvious for the past several years.

For example, I related the following on June 20, 2011:

Yesterday, on Father’s day 2011, NBC utilized their impeccable taste and creative skills to put together what they perceived as an electrifying, patriotic opening for the United States Open Golf Championship.

The opening featured a reading of the Pledge of Allegiance by a group of children in a classroom.

That would have been enough to stir the patriotic soul of even the most callous observer, right?

Wrong!

It stirred up Americans’ sense of Patriotism, alright. The idiots at NBC edited out the phrase UNDER GOD!

This is what viewers of the golf tournament heard:

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation, with liberty and justice for all.

And once was not enough for NBC. They did it twice!

The kids actually recited the pledge two times. NBC edited the second version to not only leave out UNDER GOD, but ONE NATION, as well.

To say that Americans got stirred up is probably an understatement. Immediately, viewers took to Twitter and internet comment boards, calling NBC “scumbugs” and pledging to boycott the network.

Of course, once they realized that the overwhelming majority of America’s did not appreciate their selective editing, NBC tried to feebly apologize.

By now, some of you may be thinking that NBC leaving God out of the Pledge of Allegiance and their praising of Putin and Communism have nothing to do with one another.

As the late great Ed McMahon, an employee of NBC, would phrase it,

You are NOT correct, sir!

On March 8, 1983, the greatest United States President in my lifetime, Ronald Wilson Reagan, during a speech now known as the “Evil Empire Speech”,  which he gave before the National Association of Evangelicals,  said,

During my first press conference as president, in answer to a direct question, I pointed out that, as good Marxist-Leninists, the Soviet leaders have openly and publicly declared that the only morality they recognize is that which will further their cause, which is world revolution. I think I should point out I was only quoting Lenin, their guiding spirit, who said in 1920 that they repudiate all morality that proceeds from supernatural ideas–that’s their name for religion–or ideas that are outside class conceptions. Morality is entirely subordinate to the interests of class war. And everything is moral that is necessary for the annihilation of the old exploiting social order and for uniting the proletariat.

Well, I think the refusal of many influential people to accept this elementary fact of Soviet doctrine illustrates an historical reluctance to see totalitarian powers for what they are. We saw this phenomenon in the 1930s. We see it too often today.

…Whittaker Chambers, the man whose own religious conversion made him a witness to one of the terrible traumas of our time, the Hiss-Chambers case, wrote that the crisis of the Western world exists to the degree in which the West is indifferent to God, the degree to which it collaborates in communism’s attempt to make man stand alone without God. And then he said, for Marxism-Leninism is actually the second-oldest faith, first proclaimed in the Garden of Eden with the words of temptation, “Ye shall be as gods.”

The Western world can answer this challenge, he wrote, “but only provided that its faith in God and the freedom He enjoins is as great as communism’s faith in Man.”

I believe we shall rise to the challenge. I believe that communism is another sad, bizarre chapter in human history whose last–last pages even now are being written. I believe this because the source of our strength in the quest for human freedom is not material, but spiritual. And because it knows no limitation, it must terrify and ultimately triumph over those who would enslave their fellow man. For in the words of Isaiah: “He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no…might He increased strength. But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary.”

Unfortunately, even with the demise of the old Soviet Union, the shadow of Communism still looms over Russia.

However, I, like Ronaldus Magnus did, believe that they, as every other unjust and tyrannical unjust government has been, will be overthrown by men and women yearning to be free from oppression’s shackles.

Because God is still in control…whether the communists ruling Russia, and their lackeys at NBC and “the smartest people in the room” choose to believe in Him or not.

I know how all of this ends. I’ve read The Book.

Welcome to the Sochi Olympics. My Name is “Peggy”.

Peggy“How was your flight over? I hope that little scare concerning “Toothpaste Bombs” did not spoil your flight. ”

TRANSLATION:

The Department of Homeland Security has issued a warning to U.S. and some foreign airlines traveling to Russia for the Olympic Games to be on the lookout for toothpaste containers, which some intelligence indicates may actually hold ingredients that could be used to construct a bomb aboard a plane, a senior U.S. official told ABC News.

The official did not provide further details about the warning or the intelligence that prompted it, but an official with the Department of Homeland Security, while declining to discuss the specific warning, said the department “regularly shares relevant information with domestic and international partners, including those associated with international events such as the Sochi Olympics.”

“While we are not aware of a specific threat to the homeland at this time, this routine communication is an important part of our commitment to making sure we meet that priority,” the official said. “As always, our security apparatus includes a number of measures, both seen and unseen, and DHS will continue to adjust security measures to fit an ever evolving threat environment.”

A federal law enforcement source said the information is largely intended for foreign carriers and the generic threat is not directed at the U.S. homeland. The Russian government has been informed, the source said.

“And, do not worry about that strange symbol on the bottom of your I-Phone, that is just one of our hackers. IN fact, even now our citizens are all working together to make sure you stay is a comfortable one.””

It appears there aren’t enough pillows for the athletes in the Olympic Village. This news comes via the Instagram posts of Luiza Baybakova, a member of the catering staff for the games.

Baybakova posted a picture of a notice to volunteers, which translates as follows:

“ATTENTION, DEAR COLLEAGUES!

Due to an extreme shortage of pillows for athletes who unexpectedly arrived to Olympic Village in the mountains, there will be a transfer of pillows from all apartments to the storehouse on 2 February 2014. Please be understanding. We have to help the athletes out of this bind.”

We monitored both Russian-language social networks and Instagram for posts related to the Olympic Village, and ran across this controversial gem.

Either the athletes arrived early, or event planners somehow didn’t know when they were arriving. Regardless, it seems like volunteers and staffers might now be asked to give up their own pillows to accommodate the athletes. It’s in line with what other citizen bloggers are posting ahead of the Olympics, like this guy, who claims residents near the stadiums are forbidden from using wood-burning fireplaces to avoid unsightly smoke coming out of chimneys. Even though it’s the Winter Games.

“Your room is waiting at our finest hotel., where great care has been taken to ensure your comfort.”

TRANSLATION:

Sportswriters from around the world have begun cataloguing a litany of accommodation-related woes in Sochi, Russia as organizers scramble to finish the construction of some hotels three days before the Opening Ceremony of the Winter Olympics, and two days before some competitions get underway.

Journalists have been trickling into the Black Sea resort town all week ahead of the most expensive Winter Olympics in history. Russia has spent $51 billion making all ready for the 17 days of competition, but organizers admitted earlier last week that three of the nine media hotels were not completed.

The Guardian’s Moscow bureau chief Shaun Walker reported that when he tried to check into his room at midday Tuesday, he was told by a receptionist, “Your room is still under construction. They are literally finishing, the keys are literally coming now.” Three hours later, Walker reported the same receptionist offered him a different room “with no heating, a single bed, and permeated with the [odor] of industrial glue.”

Even those who have managed to get rooms have found the amenities less than ideal…

Canadian sports columnist Bruce Arthur wrote, “Almost every room is missing something: lightbulbs, TVs, lamps, chairs, curtains, wifi, heat, hot water. Shower curtains are a valuable piece of the future black market here. (One American photographer was simply told, ‘You will not get a shower curtain.’)”

Early Wednesday morning, around 4 a.m. local time, Wall Street Journal reporter Brian Costa said a stranger opened his hotel room door to peek inside, but quickly vanished without saying a word.

And Kevin Bishop, BBC’s Moscow bureau chief, tweeted that the reception area of his hotel didn’t have its floor done, but it did have a picture of Russian President Vladimir Putin

“So, do not worry, my American Friends. our own President Putin has guaranteed your safety.”

President Vladimir Putin pointed Wednesday to the Boston Marathon bombings as a big reason for the intense security around the Winter Olympics that Russia is kicking off this week.

The Chechen brothers accused of the 2013 Boston attacks hailed from just a few hundred miles (kilometers) away from the Olympic sites at Sochi. This Black Sea town and neighboring Caucasus Mountains are readying to host world leaders, thousands of athletes and many more spectators at the Feb. 7-23 games.

Twin bombings in another southern Russian city in December have heightened terrorism fears around the Sochi events.

Intelligence agencies from multiple countries will be working together around the clock at a special headquarters in Sochi, Putin said while visiting Olympic sites Wednesday.

“In the U.S., people died at a marathon, during the G-8 there were terrorist acts in the London subway,” he said, according to Russian news agencies.

Putin rose to power and popularity 15 years ago on law-and-order, hard-on-terrorism policies that critics say go too far and suppress human rights. He had long warned the West about the dangers posed by Chechen rebels, and urged closer security cooperation with Washington after the Boston Marathon attacks.

Putin has made security central to the Olympic project, in which he has taken an unusual personal interest.

Despite hang-ups and criticism and higher costs than any Olympics in history, Putin told athletes and staff Wednesday that “Russia is ready to host the games.”

“Have a pleasant stay in Sochi…and never mind all the barbed wire, bomb-sniffing dogs, and machine guns.”

By now, some of you may be thinking that my Blog today is entirely inappropriate.

You are wrong. Ever since Benjamin Franklin wrote “Poor Richard’s Almanac”, political satire has been a potent weapon by which writers and cartoonists have protested the political lunacy of the day.

The Sochi Olympics debacle is no different.

From the idiocy of the International Olympics Committee choosing a Communist Country, where Chechen Muslim Terrorists make life perilous every day, to United States President Barack Hussein Obama (mm mmm mmmm) parading our gay athletes in from of Russian President Putin’s face in a Far Left Political Statement, which made about as much difference as Jamaica in the Bobsled Race, this Olympiad has the makings of the worst disaster since the horrible Munich Olympics in 1972.

As I wrote on 12/13/2013,

For those of us who are old enough to remember the Munich Massacre, the horrible description of it, as given by the late, great ABC Sports Announcer and former newspaper reporter, Jim McKay, haunts us to this day:

They’re all gone.

I pray that we do not hear similar words at Sochi.

Because, as Iran is proving, by continuing their Uranium Enrichment, after playing Secretary of State John Kerry and President Barack Hussein Obama for suckers, the sponsors of Islamic Terrorism have no respect for the United States of America. We remain, despite the Administration’s flagrant courtship of these barbarians, “The Great Satan”.

And, Muslim Terrorists, such as the ones who killed Israel’s Olympic Team in 1972, whether they are Chechen or Palestinian, if given the opportunity, will not hesitate to kill Russia’s, Israel’s, or America’s Olympians, gay or straight, in 2014.

Please pray for not only our athletes and citizens, while they are in Sochi, but for the rest of the world’s representatives, as well.

Until He Comes,

The 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics…Munich Revisited?

Sochi OlympicsAs we approach the start of the Winter Olympics, Russian Officials have their hands full, dealing with with Muslim Terrorists.

USAToday reports that

The deaths of at least 16 people in a suicide bombing in southern Russia on Sunday fit a pattern of recent terror attacks and increased the focus on already-heavy security for the Sochi Olympics in six weeks, U.S. scholars of Russia say.

No one immediately claimed responsibility for the bombing in Volgograd, but it came several months after Chechen rebel leader Doku Umarov called for attacks against civilian targets in Russia, including the Sochi Games. Umarov, the self-proclaimed emir of a terrorist group that calls itself the Caucasus Emirate, has called on Muslims to prevent the Olympics from occurring.

“An open question is how much authority he really has over these different groups,” said Jeffrey Mankoff, deputy director and fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies’ Russia and Eurasia Program. “A lot of the attacks seem to be inspired by Umarov but may not be directly controlled by him.”

“If you are a terrorist group in the Caucasus, the Sochi Olympics are going to be a very inviting target,” said Steven Pifer, director of the Brookings Institution’s Arms Control and Non-Proliferation Initiative. “I think you’re going to see at the Sochi Olympics a very heavy security presence.”

The government has deployed tens of thousands of soldiers, police and other security personnel to protect the Games.

Some Muslim terrorists view the Olympics as a provocation, Mankoff said. Sochi, like other cities in the region, was conquered militarily in the middle of the 19th century. “They view it as a provocation on territory they consider stolen from Muslims in the 19th century,” he said.

“It’s a very tense environment,” Mankoff said, noting that Muslim insurgency in the region began around 1990 in Chechnya. “Chechnya has been relatively pacified, but the insurgency has spread out to surrounding areas,” he said.

Russian Officials, and every nati0n attending, including the USA, have every right to be worried.

The XXth Olympic Games took place in Munich, Germany in September of 1972.

The few few days went off without a hitch.

A little after 4 a.m. on September 5, as the Israeli athletes were asleep in their rooms, eight members of the Palestinian terrorist organization, Black September, climbed over a six-foot high fence and entered the Olympic Village.

The barbarians headed straight for 31 Connollystrasse, the building where the Israeli team was staying. the terrorists entered the building entered the building around 4:30 a.m. They immediately attacked the occupants of apartment 1 and then apartment 3. Several of the Israelis fought back; two of them were killed. A couple of others were able to escape out windows. Nine were taken hostage.

By 5:10 a.m., the police had found out about it and news of the attack had begun to spread around the world. The terrorists then dropped a list of their demands out the window: they wanted 234 prisoners released from Israeli prisons and two from German prisons by 9 a.m.

Through negotiations the deadline the Muslim Terrorists set was delayed to noon, then 1 p.m., then 3 p.m., then 5 p.m. However, the terrorists would not forego their demands and Israel refused to release the prisoners.

Things were going to get bad…and, in short fashion.

At 5 p.m., the terrorists asked for two planes to fly both the terrorists and the hostages to Cairo, Egypt, hoping that they would have more leverage in another Middle Eastern country. The Germans agreed, but knew that they could not let the terrorists leave Germany. In a last-ditch bid to end the international situation, the Germans came up with Operation Sunshine, a plan to storm the apartment building.

Unfortunately, the terrorists found out about the plan by watching television. The Germans then modify their plans to attack the terrorists on their way to the airport, but again the terrorists found out their plans.

Around 10:30 p.m., the terrorists and hostages were taken to the Fürstenfeldbruck airport by helicopter. The Germans had snipers waiting for them there. Once on the ground, the terrorists realized, too late. that there was a trap. Snipers started shooting at them and they shot back. Two terrorists and one policeman were killed. Then a stalemate developed. The Germans called for armored cars and waited for over an hour for them to arrive on the scene.

When the armored cars arrived, The Muslim Terrorists knew that it was over, so they became suicidal. One of the terrorists jumped into a helicopter and shot four of the hostages, then threw in a grenade. Another terrorist hopped into the other helicopter and used his machine gun to kill the remaining five hostages. The snipers and armored cars killed three more terrorists in this second round of gunfire. Three terrorists survived the attack and were taken into custody.

Less than two months later, the three surviving terrorists were released by the German government after two other Black September members hijacked a plane and threatened to blow it up unless the three were released.

Following the massacre, the Israeli government organized a retaliation against Black September, called Operation Wrath of God.

For those of us who are old enough to remember the Munich Massacre, the horrible description of it, as given by the late, great ABC Sports Announcer and former newspaper reporter, Jim McKay, haunts us to this day:

They’re all gone.

I pray that we do not hear similar words at Sochi.
