Assassination Attempt Fails. Trump Lives. Thank God.

“Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers yesterday, as it was God alone who prevented the unthinkable from happening. We will FEAR NOT, but instead remain resilient in our Faith and Defiant in the face of Wickedness. Our love goes out to the other victims and their families. We pray for the recovery of those who were wounded, and hold in our hearts the memory of the citizen who was so horribly killed. In this moment, it is more important than ever that we stand United, and show our True Character as Americans, remaining Strong and Determined, and not allowing Evil to Win. I truly love our Country, and love you all, and look forward to speaking to our Great Nation this week from Wisconsin.” – Former President Donald J Trump 7/14/2024

Late yesterday afternoon, after an early dinner, I was watching the old Western TV show “Young Riders” with my wife, who was asleep in the recliner beside me.

A Facebook friend posted they had shot former President Trump.

I turned over to Fox News and watched in horror as former President Donald J Trump, speaking at a rally in Pennsylvania, went down, grazed by a sniper’s bullet.

Our former president is alive by the Grace of God because somebody who was a better shot would have killed him easily.

We have all watched for years now, since before he rode down that escalator and announced his candidacy for president, as the Democrat Elite, the Far Left, and their minions in the Corporate Media called Trump everything but a Child of God.

Once Trump became president, he had a dossier manufactured about him, the Democrat Elite tried to impeach him multiple times, and lately, his enemies have been attacking him by means of Political Lawfare, calling him Hitler and a threat to democracy.

And now, they are all acting as if they are sorry that someone tried to kill him.

What in the world did they think was going to happen?

What happened to former President Trump yesterday is squarely on their shoulders.

The man simply wanted to make things better for the American people.

The Democrat Elite are about to be politically destroyed by their own words.

To quote Japanese Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto after their heinous attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, which began World War II,

“I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve.”

Let us be resolved, as a free and courageous people, to vote as if our future depends on it this November, because it does.

The totalitarian path that those who wish to “radically change” this country can not be allowed to continue.

Let us once again elect Donald J Trump President this November and make America great again.

Until He Comes,

Carnage Comes Home: How Would You Feel If It Happened In Your Neighborhood?

desoto-county-deputies-shot-lee-hutchins

“Americans want great schools for their children, safe neighborhoods for their families, and good jobs for themselves.

These are the just and reasonable demands of a righteous public.

But for too many of our citizens, a different reality exists: Mothers and children trapped in poverty in our inner cities; rusted-out factories scattered like tombstones across the landscape of our nation; an education system, flush with cash, but which leaves our young and beautiful students deprived of knowledge; and the crime and gangs and drugs that have stolen too many lives and robbed our country of so much unrealized potential.

This American carnage stops right here and stops right now.” – President Donald J. Trump, Inaugural Address, January 20 2017

The carnage has not stopped…yet.

WREG, the CBS Affiliate in Memphis, Tennessee, has the story…

SOUTHAVEN, Miss. — “If you cross that line and come in to Southaven, we’re going to bust your tail,” said Southaven Mayor Darren Musselwhite.

“If you come to DeSoto County and you mess up, you gon’ pay the price,” state Representative Jeff Hale said.

Northern Mississippi officials warned criminals using strong words with nearly a militaristic message after a man shot two deputies and died in a shoot-out with police Wednesday night.

“If you cross that line and come in to Southaven, we’re going to bust your tail.”“We stand united to provide a solid line of defense for our citizens,” Southaven Police Chief Steve Pirtle said.

Mississippi officials said they are prepared for a violent episode like that which happened Wednesday night.

They said their proximity to Memphis means they’ve been dealing with spill-over crime for years.

“Certainly a large percentage of defendants we deal with in Southaven, Horn Lake, the county and Hernando are going to be Memphis residents. There’s no doubt about that,” District Attorney John Champion said.

Champion didn’t provide exact numbers, but that’s why Musselwhite said Southaven spends around 70 percent of its annual budget on public safety.

He said that plan is working.

“When an event happens [like] last night it causes a lot of concern, but it’s important to note the crime rates in Southaven are less than the national average and the state average of Mississippi,” Musselwhite said.

Still, other leaders thought the violent attack was a sign northern Mississippi needs more officers.

“Hopefully the funding will be there to help put more officers on the streets in the counties and cities,” Hale said.

He said he’d work to have legislation passed by 2018.

By now, you may be asking,

So what, KJ? It’s just another criminal shooting law enforcement officers and getting killed in return.

That’s easy for you to say.

My bride and I live ten minutes away from where the shooting occurred.

And, if you were able to pan the picture above to the left, you would see the church building in which we attend 9:00 Worship Service every Sunday Morning, before I have to be at work.

Southaven is a bedroom community, connected to Memphis, Tennessee. Stateline Road, where the shooting took place, is “the dividing line”….the border between the Southwest Corner of Tennessee and the Northwest Corner of Mississippi.

The “carnage”, which has all but decimated my beloved Hometown has recently begun to “cross the road” to attempt to infect my adopted home of Desoto County, Mississippi, as well.

In my hometown, the Former “City of Good Abode”…

Memphis set a grim record with 228 homicides in 2016, eclipsing by 15 killings the previous record of 213 set in 1993.

The year began with the shooting death of 49-year-old Patrick Couch, who was killed in the driveway of a home on South Fourth Street just before 3 p.m. on New Year’s Day 2016. That was one of 10 murders in the first 13 days of the year, establishing the record-setting pace that just never let up.

The year ended with the shooting death of an unidentified man just before 11 a.m. Saturday at Saxon and Cummings in South Memphis. No arrests have been made, police said.

Memphis Police Director Michael Rallings was unavailable for comment Sunday, MPD spokesman Karen Rudolph said. Messages left for Mayor Jim Strickland were not returned. Strickland campaigned for mayor on the promise of crime reduction, but the city’s escalating homicide total has made that promise difficult to achieve.

“Our homicide rate has taken this tragic, shameful spike. It is the crime that the police are least able to control. It is on all of us, in our homes, our neighborhoods, and our churches, to do better,” Strickland said in a recent statement.

As a 58-year old resident of the Memphis Area, I have borne witness to the governmental mismanagement and resulting decay and degeneration of what was once of the friendliest places in the country to live.

There are still friendly people in Memphis, but, chances are, they work in Memphis and are living in the suburbs, like I do.

The mass exodus of Memphis taxpayers started during the reign of  “King” Willie Herenton, whom while Mayor from 1991 – 2008, told taxpayers of the Caucasian persuasion, if they did not like the way he was running the city, they could leave.

So, they did.

Since then, violent crime in Memphis has steadily risen, to the point where some suburban husbands will not allow their families to enter Memphis during the day or night.

The most recent Mayor, Jim Strickland, seems to be working hard to revitalize Downtown Memphis.

Unfortunately, for those who are seeking to bring the city of Memphis back to its former prestige, and restore its title of the “City of Good Abode”, there are those who want everyone to share in their own self-inflicted misery…

I spoke to a Desoto County Sheriff’s Deputy while at work yesterday, asking him about the condition of the Deputies who were sot by that piece of slime.

He said that one had been sent home from the hospital and the one who was hurt more severely was “doing better”.

Before we parted, he said ominously,

But, it’s going to get worse.

So now, criminals are trying to bring the “carnage” which they inflicted on Memphis down here.

There is one difference though.

We will not roll over and take it.

We open carry in Mississippi.

We have responsible civic leaders down here who will not tolerate it.

We have dedicated police officers and Sheriff’s Deputies who put their lives on the line every day to protect us.

And, now, have an American President who will stand by their side, instead of the criminals.

And, that’s “change we can believe in”.

Until He Comes,

KJ

The Oregon Massacre: #IAMACHRISTIAN…Would I Be Willing to Give My Life For Christ?

thG58U0JIHThis past week, America was rocked, once again, by a school shooting, in which a crazed individual, fueled by evil, killed 9 Americans, and wounded dozens more.

The New York Post reported that those who were slain, had something in common.

A gunman singled out Christians, telling them they would see God in “one second,” during a rampage at an Oregon college Thursday that left at least nine innocent people dead and several more wounded, survivors and authorities said.“[He started] asking people one by one what their religion was. ‘Are you a Christian?’ he would ask them, and if you’re a Christian, stand up. And they would stand up and he said, ‘Good, because you’re a Christian, you are going to see God in just about one second.’ And then he shot and killed them,” Stacy Boylen, whose daughter was wounded at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Ore., told CNN.

A Twitter user named @bodhilooney, who said her grandmother was at the scene of the carnage, tweeted that if victims said they were Christian, “then they were shot in the head. If they said no, or didn’t answer, they were shot in the legs.”

Gunman Chris Harper-Mercer’s disdain for religion was evident in an online profile, in which he became a member of a “doesn’t like organized religion” group on an Internet dating site.

Kortney Moore, 18, said she saw the teacher of her Writing 115 class get shot in the head at the college’s Snyder Hall before the gunman started asking people to state their religion and opening fire, the city’s News-Review newspaper reported.

Harper-Mercer, 26, was killed in a shootout with police outside one of the classrooms, said Douglas County Sheriff John Hanlin.

“There was an exchange of gunfire,” he said. “The shooter threat was neutralized.”

Although police put the death toll at 10 — including Harper-Mercer — with seven people injured, Oregon Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum had said 13 people died.

I have written in the past that American Christians are fighting a war against an effort to undercut our faith, severely limiting our practice of it in everyday life.

With the present Administration spearheading the effort, Christian Americans are being marginalized , and our faith ridiculed and attacked as being against “diversity”, as the First Lady alluded to in her speech at a Topeka, Kansas Graduation Ceremony, which I wrote about in May of 2014.

As bad as things are getting in our country, Christians are not facing the choice of whether to renounce Jesus Christ as our Savior or die a martyr…yet.

On May 15th, 2014,  in front of a judge in a Sudanese court, Meriam Yahia Ibrahim forthrightly declared that she was still, and always will be, a follower of Jesus Christ. The judge at the Public Order Court in El Haj Yousif Khartoum then confirmed her sentence of 100 lashes for adultery and death by hanging for apostasy.

Ibrahim told the judge after a Muslim scholar spent 40 minutes persuading her to recant,

I am a Christian, and I have never been a Muslim.

In response, the judge told her,

The court has sentenced you to be hanged till you are dead.

The sentence is to be carried out two years after her second child’s birth later this month.

Christian Solidarity Worldwide reported that the death sentence in the case, which is drawing international attention, and called the ruling a “violation of the Sudanese Constitution and of international conventions to which Sudan is party.”

According to Middle East Concern, Ibrahim’s lawyer is appealing the ruling. Ibrahim’s American husband was also not permitted to witness the hearing, and has been denied visitation rights to see his wife and son while they are detained in prison.

Ahead of the hearing on the 15th, Amnesty International condemned Ibrahim’s death sentence and called for her immediate release. According to Manar Idriss, Amnesty International’s Sudan researcher:

The fact that a woman could be sentenced to death for her religious choice, and to flogging for being married to a man of an allegedly different religion is abhorrent and should never be even considered. ‘Adultery’ and ‘apostasy’ are acts which should not be considered crimes at all, let alone meet the international standard of “most serious crimes” in relation to the death penalty. It is flagrant breach of international human rights law.

In July 2012, Saeed Abedini, an American pastor who is a dual Iranian-American citizen, went back to Iran to visit family and continue his work on a government approved orphanage. While in that  Radical Islamic county, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps placed Saeed under house arrest without charge. He was then sent to Evin Prison in September 2012.

In January, Saeed was sentenced to eight years in prison. He was charged with preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Saeed is not guilty of breaking any Iranian law. However, he was convicted of endangering national security because of gathering with other believers in private homes.

While in prison, Saeed has suffered internal bleeding from beatings and endured solitary confinement in an effort to make him recant his faith.

Although he has been denied medical attention, Saeed’s faith remains as strong as ever, as he continues to lead people to Christ while in prison.

His beloved wife, Naghmeh, and their children have not seen Saeed in over a year. During his most recent time in solitary confinement, Saeed once said that he felt many people praying and the time in solitary was a time of intimacy with God. When he came out, the other prisoners said he was glowing. In fact, Saeed said he was filled with more joy and peace after solitary than going in.

In a letter to Naghmeh, Saeed shared how he has hope despite the daily beatings he endures.

I heard that the persecution, my arrest and imprisonment has united churches from different denominations, from different cities and countries that would never come together because of their differences. That the churches have united together in prayer to put one request (my freedom) on one day (Pentecost) before God. You don’t know how happy I was in the Lord and rejoiced knowing that in my chains the body of Christ has chained together and is brought to action and prayer.

Would I be willing to die for my Savior?

Believe it or not, I have actually been asked that question by other Americans before by non-believers, both young and old, on Facebook Political Pages, who could not fathom a faith comprised of unconditional love, supplied by a Triune God, who accepts his imperfect children, just as we are, without one plea. Bring a Love that will not let me go, no matter how many times I stumble, no matter how many times I fall, He always picks me back up, and helps me to continue to walk in faith, hope, and love. But, the greatest of these is love.

There was a “libertarian” (actually, a Liberal) who made fun of believers on a Facebook Political Page which I post on, by posting the words, “Onward Christian Soldiers”, attempting to point out Christian Hypocrisy…or something.

This “self-proclaimed genius” evidently neglected to read the lyrics of this great old hymn

Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war,
with the cross of Jesus going on before.
Christ, the royal Master, leads against the foe;
forward into battle see his banners go!
Refrain:
Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war,
with the cross of Jesus going on before.

2. At the sign of triumph Satan’s host doth flee;
on then, Christian soldiers, on to victory!
Hell’s foundations quiver at the shout of praise;
brothers, lift your voices, loud your anthems raise.
(Refrain)

3. Like a mighty army moves the church of God;
brothers, we are treading where the saints have trod.
We are not divided, all one body we,
one in hope and doctrine, one in charity.
(Refrain)

4. Crowns and thrones may perish, kingdoms rise and wane,
but the church of Jesus constant will remain.
Gates of hell can never gainst that church prevail;
we have Christ’s own promise, and that cannot fail.
(Refrain)

5. Onward then, ye people, join our happy throng,
blend with ours your voices in the triumph song.
Glory, laud, and honor unto Christ the King,
this through countless ages men and angels sing.
(Refrain)

I pray that God will open this unbeliever’s eyes one day. However, until He does, this unbeliever and his fellow travelers will be oblivious to the fact that the war Christians fight is not against flesh and blood, but instead against “Princes and Principalities”.

And, to answer the question I raised earlier….

Yes. I would be willing to give my life for Christ.

On Christ the Solid Rock I stand. All other ground is sinking sand.

May God continue to the strengthen those Christians, who are facing persecution and death, around the world, and may He continue to hold them and their loved ones in the Hollow of His Hand.

Until He Comes,

KJ
