DeBlasio Vs. the NYPD

AFBrancoDeBlasio12282014The New York City Police Department let their feelings about their City’s Mayor be known, loud and clear, once again, at the funeral of a fellow offer, shot down like a dog, while sitting in his patrol car.

The Washington Post reports that

…Brown and Garner’s killings sparked a nationwide protest movement and debate about the treatment of African Americans by law enforcement, with social-media slogans such as “Black lives matter” and “I can’t breathe,” Garner’s last words.

After “respecting First Amendment rights and handling false and abusive insults,” as Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo (D) put it during his remarks at the funeral, it was police officers’ time to be heard.

And, in one tense gesture, seen.

Hundreds of officers watching the services outside Christ Tabernacle Church turned their backs on the screens when Mayor Bill de Blasio spoke. The mayor has been heavily criticized by New York police union officials, accused of causing a mood of mistrust that they say contributed to the killings of Ramos and Liu. Tensions between the mayor and police had already grown in recent months after de Blasio said he was worried about how police might treat his son, who is biracial.

Vice President Biden, who attended the funeral, promised that the “incredibly diverse city can and will show the nation how to bridge any divide.”

New York City Police Commissioner William J. Bratton called Ramos “a hero” and gave the officer and his partner posthumous promotions, which will boost the department’s financial benefits to their families. He had words of hope for a way forward.

“If we can learn to see each other,” Bratton said, “to see that our cops are people like Officer Ramos and Officer Liu, to see our communities filled with people like them, too — if we can learn to see each other, then when we see each other we’ll heal.”

Still, unease and uncertainty filled the air.

One man held a sign reading “God Bless the NYPD” and “Dump DeBlasio.”

A group of police spouses gathered and said the show of support was a sort of release after watching month after month of protests directed at police.

“You think about how people just hate your husband for what he does,” said Lisa, who wanted to give only her first name. She is also training to be a police officer, “because I want to protect and serve my city,” she said.

But she said she feels for the families of Brown and Garner, too.

“I was raised in the projects. I get it,” she said. “But I feel like the department and police generally are being blamed for racial problems that are much deeper.”

Ismaaiyl Brinsley, the man who police say shot Ramos and Liu as they sat in their patrol car before killing himself, had promised on social media to put “Wings On Pigs.”

He had vowed revenge over the police actions in Ferguson and Staten Island.

Funeral details for Liu have yet to be announced. Officials say it will be held when relatives arrive from China.

On CBS’ “Face The Nation” yesterday…

New York City Police Commissioner William Bratton said it was “very inappropriate” for officers to turn their backs on New York City Mayor Bill DeBlasio at the funeral for slain NYPD Officer Rafael Ramos. It was the second time officers had done so since the slaying of two NYPD cops.

“That funeral was held to honor Officer Ramos, and to bring politics, to bring issues into that event I think was very inappropriate and I do not support it. He is the mayor of New York, he was there representing the citizens of New York to express their remorse and their regret at that death,” Bratton said on CBS’ “Face the Nation.”

“At the same time it is reflective unfortunately of the feelings of some of our officers at this juncture about not just the mayor but I think about some of the many issues that are afflicting the city at this time and this particular police department,” he added.

Tensions have been running high between DeBlasio and some of the city’s police officers since Ramos and another officer, Wenjian Liu, were shot and killed in their patrol car earlier this month. Police union officials blamed DeBlasio for their deaths, in part because of his public support for people protesting grand jury decisions not to indict police officers who had killed two black men, Michael Brown and Eric Garner.

Bratton defended DeBlasio, calling him “totally supportive of his personnel” and praising the city for investing hundreds of millions of dollars in additional training, equipment and technology to enhance officer safety.

“This is a mayor that cares very deeply about New York City police officers, cares very deeply about the divide in this city at this time and is working very hard to heal that divide,” Bratton said.

Still, he said that, “morale in the department at this time is low, there’s no getting around that.” He said it was due to a number of factors, including contract negotiations with the city as well as the national discussions about race and policing. He praised officers for showing “remarkable professional restraint when so much of the invective is directed directly against them, personally against them.”

You know, it’s a funny thing about that word “respect”. It works both ways.

When New York City’s Communist mayor, Bill DeBlasio, prissed around, preening and grandstanding for the cameras with Al Sharpton and the other race-baiters, taking their side in the protests over Brown and Gardner, he quite literally showed his backside to New York’s Finest.

Just as Obama has not seemed to figure out, yet, being a leader of a diverse group of citizens, means just that: leading all of them.

You’re not just a community organizer, anymore

You are actually part of the Establishment, meaning that you have to put your old anti-Establishment Ways in your toy chest with your childhood possessions.

It’s time to be a grown-up, and to know the difference between playtime and reality.

And, when it comes to the lives of two police officers, killed in the coldest of blood, while sitting in their patrol car, that is as real as it gets.

DeBlasio needs to apologize for his comments and his actions.

He’s lucky that they just turned their backs on him, instead of giving him a mass one-finger salute.

But, these are Men of Honor, unlike Politicians.

Perhaps DeBlasio needs to watch “Blue Bloods” and get a clue.

Burying Heroes, Rioting for Criminals, and Glorifying the Darkness

AFBrancoFallen12272014A public servant, a father, and an everyday hero is being laid to rest today.

The local CBS Affiliate in New York City reports that

Thousands are gathering at a Queens church Saturday morning for the final farewell to slain NYPD Officer Rafael Ramos.

Mayor Bill de Blasio, Vice President Joe Biden and hundreds of police officers from the NYPD and all over the country are expected at the service set for at 10 a.m. at Christ Tabernacle Church in Glendale.

“He was my rock, a beacon of wisdom; he was my absolute best friend,” said Ramos’ son Justin Ramos.

Justin was in the middle of his sophomore year at Bowdoin College in Maine when his father was gunned down one week ago, CBS2’s Janelle Burrell reported.

As he spoke about the man his father was, Justin’s image was watched on a jumbotron by thousands waiting outside his father’s wake Friday night.

“My dad would have been there for everyone and to see so many people here for him is a testament to who he is as a person. It has been so helpful during this time,” Justin said.

The Ramos family leaning on that support, not only from friends, but countless officers, community members and even strangers.

For more than seven hours, a steady crowd of people offered their condolences.

Among the guests, de Blasio and Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who asked for continued support for the family, especially Ramos’ two sons.

And even in their pain, they managed a few smiles.

“I’ll keep this short and sweet, just like my brother,” said Ramos’ sister Cindy Ramos.

Ramos and NYPD Officer Wenjian Liu were killed as they sat in their patrol car on a Brooklyn street last Saturday. The shooter,Ismaaiyl Brinsley, later killed himself.

Investigators say Brinsley was an emotionally disturbed loner who started off his rampage by shooting an ex-girlfriend in Baltimore.

He also posted online threats to police and made references to Eric Garner and Michael Brown.

The killings ramped up emotions in the already tense national debate over police conduct.

Additionally,

Commissioner Bil Bratton visited a memorial to two fallen NYPD officers on Friday.

Commissioner Bratton worked his way down the line shaking hands with officers who were there, as the memorial continued to grow.

As CBS2’s Weijia Jiang reported, efforts were also underway to help the families of the two fallen heroes.

A 9/11 charity is working to help pay off the mortgages on the homes of the two NYPD officers who were ambushed and killed in Brooklyn.

The Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundationannounced Friday that it will be paying the mortgages in full for the families of Officers Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos.

The foundation made the announcement in Staten Island along with former Mayor Rudy Guiliani and Liu’s widow, Pei Xia Chen.

“We want to help lift them out of some of the despair that they’re in today,” said Chairman Frank Siller.

Chen is feeling a pain that Siller knows all too well. He lost his brother on 9/11.

Mortgages Of Fallen NYPD Cops To Be Paid In Full

Peter Haskell reports

play

So far, the foundation has raised $70,000 with a goal of $800,000. Giuliani said he was pledging $20,000 of his own money.

“They should be in a position where, so that for the rest of their lives, they never have to worry about material things,” Giuliani said. “It doesn’t bring back either one of these great men. But it does help.”

Governor Andrew Cuomo agreed. He stressed the importance of helping the families, not only emotionally, but practically too.

“Let’s respect the family. Let’s help the family grieve, find ways to help the family through this. Whether it’s financial support, education with kids, and then we’ll move forward with learning lessons,” the governor said.

Donations have been pouring in.

The Brooklyn Nets gave $10,000, the New York Yankees will pay for the education of Ramos’ sons. Even strangers have been opening their wallets.

“Seeing everyone pull together shows strength, and that you can pull through,” Andreana Simonelli said.

Earlier this week, Liu’s widow came out of their Gravesend, Brooklyn home and spoke tearfully about the road ahead and how loved ones and strangers are helping the family.

While this solemn ceremony to honor someone who gave his life in the service of others is going on, there will be Police Snipers lining the rooftops, in response to numerous threats to disrupt the church service.

How did we get here? Why do we have so many out there who are calling for “dead cops”, while protesting over the deaths of criminals?

By the time President Johnson came into office, after the assassination of President John Fitzgerald Kennedy, the majority of Americans totally believed that our government always had our best interest at heart.

President Johnson came into office and immediately started his push for the Great Society. These programs were designed to make Americans even more dependent on the Federal Government for their very survival.

As the Vietnam War grew more and more and unpopular, Americans’ trust in the government became more and more compromised.  Protests against the Federal Government became more and more common and it became cool to be a rebel or “hippie”.

Time passed, and while rebellious Americans calmed down, Americans’ dependence upon government programs became generational, as multiple family members from one generation to the next, relied on Uncle Sugar for their daily existence.

Meanwhile, the rebels of the 1960’s got older and began to work within the system, taking jobs within the private and public sectors.

Eventually, they moved into positions of power, becoming heads of corporations and local and national politicians.

It is not really necessary to tell you what the political ideology of these rebels was, is it?

As the last century ended and the new one began, these hippies and their offspring, solidly in place in the halls of power, began to pass more more legislation designed to keep generations of Americans enslaved to Uncle Sugar.

With the President of the United States and the Attorney General backing their efforts, the Professionally Perpetually Aggrieved” have been emboldened in their efforts to turn the deaths of two criminals into a “Cause de Celebre”, raising money and gaining face time on every news outlet stupid enough to give it to them.

So, why are the majority of Americans not buying this money-grubbing, disrespectful con job, seeking to turn two people with a history of breaking the law into some sort of “martyrs”?

Now you can call it genetics, you can call it socialization, you can call it the proper alignment of the moon and stars…I choose to call it the Grace of God.

It is a comforting old saying which states

There, but for the grace of God, go I.

We are given free will by our Creator will to make choices and decisions on the direction of our lives. Being human, we often don’t make the right decisions and being human, those decisions have the potential to lead us down a dark path.

Whether is in reality or strictly in the close quarters of our own consciousness, the path we choose to follow is up to us. However, our parents, family, and friends can make a difference in our journey and I thank God that through His Grace I was given a Father who made sure that I received loving instruction in The Way in which I should go.

We still live in the greatest country on the face of the earth and we still have a responsibility to one another.

The Light or the Darkness. The choice is up to each and every one of us.

Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. 1 John 4:14 (ESV)

A “Conversation” With Dr. King: A “Memorial Service” That Turned Into a Political Rally

mlkdreamOn August 28, 1963, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr, said the following while delivering a very famous speech at the base of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C.:

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

Unfortunately, sir…we aren’t there , yet.

If you were watching  yesterday’s 50th Anniversary Memorial Ceremony, staged at the same place  where you gave your speech, sir, I know you were sadly shaking youe head at the all the divisiveness and the blame game, which was played…all day long.

Even before the Ceremony began, the first Black President of these United States, Barack Hussein Obama (mm mmm mmmm) compared following you, after you gave your famous speech all those years ago, to following Christ.

Evidently, our Manchurian President is not the Christian he claims to be, or he would know that Jesus Christ is alive, and you are not. However, when you were alive, and , hopefully, even now, your purpose was/is to serve Him.

During the day’s festivities, there was awful lot of whining going on, about how things have not improved enough for America’s Black Population.

The speakers, who included everyone from past and present presidents to professional race baiters, used the solemn occasion to score political points, claiming that you would feel the same way they did, about subjects ranging from illegal aliens to gun control to “gay marriage”.

What was billed as a day to honor you, Dr. King, quickly turned into a political rally.

Heck, average Americans, like myself, thought we were watching a replay of the Democratic Political Rally, known as the Paul Wellstone Memorial Service.

It was just that crass.

Unfortunately, sir, those who claimed to be speaking for you yesterday, focused on the “color of their skin” part of your speech, delivered 50 years ago, instead of “the content of their character”.

One of the speakers, referred to 17 year old Trayvon Martin, a lost young man who jumped and almost murdered a community watch volunteer,as a martyr, because the man being sat upon and having his head smashed into the sidewalk, had to shoot the young thug wannabe, in order to save his own life.

The things that seemed to be of value to the assembled crowd perplexed me, Dr. King. And, I believe that you would have felt the same way.

Former President  Jimmy Carter said that you would be disappointed at the high unemployment rate among Blacks.

I happen to agree with the old peanut farmer, but not as to why you would be upset.

A couple of years ago, I worked at our county’s State Employment Center Office.

While at the Employment Office, I was able to observe Americans, both Black and White, down on their luck, struggling to find work and survive in this economy. Unfortunately, the overwhelming majority of “unemployed ” who came to this particular office were Black.

I saw Black American Families whose existence living on the Government Dole, had become generational.

It is these people whom Obama and the Democrats have hypnotized into believing that Uncle Sugar loves them, and is their only solution to surviving a stifling existence.

They are so, so wrong.

The strength and vitality of America does not come from the benevolence of a Nanny-state Federal Government.

As the greatest American President of my  lifetime, Ronald Reagan said:

The nine words you never want to hear are:  I’m from the Government and I’m here to help.

Being enslaved to the Government Dole steals one’s ambition.  It takes away any impetus or desire to create a better life for yourself and your family, to challenge yourself to pick yourself up by your bootstraps and pursue the American Dream.  It makes you reliant on a politically-motivated spider’s web full of government bureaucrats who view you and your family as job security.

I watched American citizens trapped in this web of government bureaucracy,  so numbed of any initiative that they once had, that they seemed offended that they actually had to prove that they inquired about three jobs that week in order to keep their “benefits”.  Others seemed puzzled that they had to search through the state data base and pick out a job that they wanted to talk to an interviewer about receiving a referral to, and weren’t just simply handed a job when they walked through the door.

Instead of moving forward, by exercising the self-reliance that you preached so well, these people I saw, were content on being “taken care of” by Uncle Sugar, as if being held down by their own poor, miserable circumstance, was a good thing.

As a Republican, I am sure that it would have offended you, Dr. King, to hear the tenants of  Marxism, i.e., “sharing the wealth” and Class Envy, being “preached” to the same Black Americans whom you tried so mightily to raise up and inspire.

And, while I am at it, sir, I wonder what you would say about the two young Black men who beat an 88 year old, Word War II Veteran to death. And, if that was not enough, one of the thugs and his father are now claiming that the kids beat “Shorty” to death because of a bad Crack deal, which is of course, a blatant lie.

Yes sir, Dr King, I am sorry to tell you that racism and injustice is still going on in America. Unfortunately, it will not end any time soon, There are two many race baiters profiting off of it.

Including, the President of the United States.

The part of your magnificent speech about “the content of their character” was purposefully ignored by the professional race baiters and assorted politicians  (but, I repeat myself) yesterday.

Dr. King, your call for self-reliance  took a back seat to their self-serving agenda, a long time ago.

DOJ Organizes Rallies Against George Zimmerman. “Constitution? We Don’t Need No Stinkin’ Constitution.”

Trayvon3Boys and girls, if you don’t believe that this Administration has no respect for our Constitution or the Rule of Law, read this:

Judicial Watch announced today [yesterday] that it has obtained documents in response to local, state, and federal records requests revealing that a little-known unit of the Department of Justice (DOJ), the Community Relations Service (CRS), was deployed to Sanford, FL, following the Trayvon Martin shooting to help organize and manage rallies and protests against George Zimmerman.

JW filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request with the DOJ on April 24, 2012; 125 pages were received on May 30, 2012. JW administratively appealed the request on June 5, 2012, and received 222 pages more on March 6, 2013. According to the documents:

  • March 25 – 27, 2012, CRS spent $674.14 upon being “deployed to Sanford, FL, to work marches, demonstrations, and rallies related to the shooting and death of an African-American teen by a neighborhood watch captain.”
  • March 25 – 28, 2012, CRS spent $1,142.84 “in Sanford, FL to work marches, demonstrations, and rallies related to the shooting and death of an African-American teen by a neighborhood watch captain.
  • March 30 – April 1, 2012, CRS spent $892.55 in Sanford, FL “to provide support for protest deployment in Florida.”
  • March 30 – April 1, 2012, CRS spent an additional $751.60 in Sanford, FL “to provide technical assistance to the City of Sanford, event organizers, and law enforcement agencies for the march and rally on March 31.”
  • April 3 – 12, 2012, CRS spent $1,307.40 in Sanford, FL “to provide technical assistance, conciliation, and onsite mediation during demonstrations planned in Sanford.”
  • April 11 – 12, 2012, CRS spent $552.35 in Sanford, FL “to provide technical assistance for the preparation of possible marches and rallies related to the fatal shooting of a 17 year old African American male.”

From a Florida Sunshine Law request filed on April 23, 2012, JW received thousands of pages of emails on April 27, 2012, in which was found an email by Miami-Dade County Community Relations Board Program Officer Amy Carswell from April 16, 2012: “Congratulations to our partners, Thomas Battles, Regional Director, and Mildred De Robles, Miami-Dade Coordinator and their co-workers at the U.S. Department of Justice Community Relations Service for their outstanding and ongoing efforts to reduce tensions and build bridges of understanding and respect in Sanford, Florida” following a news article in the Orlando Sentinel about the secretive “peacekeepers.”

Rush Limbaugh spoke about this on his show yesterday,

This is a fundamental disintegration, and it’s just one of many that are happening to this country under this administration. Judicial Watch was given the documents by the DOJ that prove the DOJ was in Florida organizing anti-Zimmerman rallies. You know the only reason this trial’s taking place? The only reason this trial’s taking place is because the race hustler industry flew down there the minute this case happened when Zimmerman wasn’t charged.

Now, the original law enforcement bunch that first was exposed to the evidence in this case didn’t charge Zimmerman. There was nothing to see here. And then Al Sharpton and the race hustlers got in business and flew down there, and Eric Holder flew down there and thanked Reverend Al, as he called him, for his community outreach and service, and this regime saw an opportunity to turn something into a profoundly racial case for the express purpose of ripping the country apart. I don’t know how else to describe it.

…I think stoking the racial stuff is the way Obama was raised. He was raised to believe this country was founded unjustly and immorally and slavery this and slavery that. This country, he’s got a chip on his shoulder about it, and he’s here to square the deal. And Holder, too.

I think all of these guys have an anger about them about the country and its past. As far as they’re concerned, there’s nothing that’s ever gonna happen to erase slavery. “It may as well still be going on, by God!” So all of this is being done so the rest of us can get a taste of it; find out what it’s like. That’s what the OJ jury was doing. “Okay, fine! How does it feel? Not guilty. We know he did it. How many times did you railroad us?”

I think that’s what’s going on here.

Pure and simple.

I don’t think it’s hard to understand at all. In addition to that, there’s also the specter gun control. They wanted to use the shooting of Trayvon Martin, Obama’s “could have been my son,” pushing gun control, and they didn’t like Florida’s “stand your ground” law. They didn’t like that. They had a bunch of things they could push here. This martial law business? I don’t even want to go there. I don’t even think you have to to find an answer for why they’re trying to foment racial division.

It’s the same premise of affirmative action.

Affirmative action is so that you get a taste of what it was like.

Get-even-with-’em-ism.

… If you look up the Community Relations Service at the DOJ on their website, it says that they are a “peacemaking outreach organization.” It’s just the exact opposite of what they did in the Zimmerman case down in Sanford, Florida.

Obama, Holder, and the rest of the professional race baiters, including the Justice Brothers (Revs.Jackson and Sharpton), knew from the get-go that there was not a case against George Zimmerman. However, the cameras were rolling, and they never miss a chance to remind their voting bloc that they are “down with the struggle”. Never mind that they are all millionaires, and the only time you find any of them in impoverished areas of the country, is when there is good publicity to be had.

To quote Pastor Ken Hutcherson, a Former NFL Linebacker, (who just happens to be a good friend of Rush Limbaugh) from an article released yesterday on the subject of our nation’s self-proclaimed “Black Leadership”…

As a black man Al [Sharpton], who went through the Civil rights fight in the 60s just like you did, and saw the first freedom bus burn in my home town of Anniston, Alabama, on May 14, 1961; I hated Dr. King for his non-violent philosophy. That did not change until I became a Christian later in life. Then I understood God’s biblical truth of love your enemy and do good to those who hate and persecute you. I think I have the right to tell you this sir; I think the likes of you and Jesse Jackson have done more damage to the black race than any white man will ever accomplish. You see as long as you can produce an ethnicity with a victim mentality to keep them in poverty, as the two of you get richer – you know like poverty pimps – and convince them that it is the white man’s fault because he has his boot on their necks, and as long as you teach our beautiful black women that there is a government out there to be their baby’s daddy, the two of you win. You are the self-proclaimed, appointed leaders of the black people. How we as black people have swallowed the lie that we have to have certain black leaders to get on the government teat escapes me.

Pastor Hutch hit the nail on the proverbial head. This whole kangaroo court in Miami, upon the urging and support of the Professional Race Baiters, was organized for the purpose of rallying “the people”.

These guys could care less about Trayvon Martin.

Organizing “the people” was not done for “justice”, it was done for distraction. Distraction from a horrible economy, which has hit America’s Black Population the hardest. Distraction from a weak and sniveling Administration. who, instead of protecting us from our enemies, has declared Americans to be their enemy.

If, when Zimmerman is acquited, and it is definitely looking that way, “the people” in Miami riot, any deaths that result, can be laid at the feet of these Professional Race Baiters.

They are the ones who made it about the color of Trayvon’s skin…and not about the content of his character.

Until He Comes,

KJ
