Pelosi and Dems to Start “9/11-Style Commission” to Investigate Jan. 6th “Insurrection”, House Reps Send Letter to Pelosi Demanding Answers to Security Decisions

Newsmax.com reports that

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Monday that Congress will establish an independent, Sept. 11-style commission to look into the deadly insurrection that took place at the U.S. Capitol.

Pelosi said the commission will “investigate and report on the facts and causes relating to the Jan. 6, 2021, domestic terrorist attack upon the United States Capitol Complex … and relating to the interference with the peaceful transfer of power.”

In a letter to Democratic colleagues, Pelosi said the House will also put forth supplemental spending to boost security at the Capitol.

After former President Donald Trump’s acquittal at his second Senate impeachment trial, bipartisan support appeared to be growing for an independent commission to examine the deadly insurrection.

Investigations into the riot were already planned, with Senate hearings scheduled later this month in the Senate Rules Committee. Pelosi, D-Calif., asked retired Army Lt. Gen. Russel Honoré to lead an immediate review of the Capitol’s security process.

In her letter Monday, Pelosi said, “It is clear from his findings and from the impeachment trial that we must get to the truth of how this happened.”

She added, “As we prepare for the Commission, it is also clear from General Honoré’s interim reporting that we must put forth a supplemental appropriation to provide for the safety of Members and the security of the Capitol.”

Lawmakers from both parties, speaking on Sunday’s news shows, signaled that even more inquiries were likely. The Senate verdict Saturday, with its 57-43 majority falling 10 votes short of the two-thirds needed to convict Trump, hardly put to rest the debate about the Republican former president’s culpability for the Jan. 6 assault.

“There should be a complete investigation about what happened,” said Louisiana Sen. Bill Cassidy, one of seven Republicans who voted to convict Trump. “What was known, who knew it and when they knew, all that, because that builds the basis so this never happens again.”

An independent commission along the lines of the one that investigated the Sept. 11 attacks would probably require legislation to create. That would elevate the investigation a step higher, offering a definitive government-backed accounting of events. Still, such a panel would pose risks of sharpening partisan divisions or overshadowing President Joe Biden’s legislative agenda.

“There’s still more evidence that the American people need and deserve to hear and a 9/11 commission is a way to make sure that we secure the Capitol going forward,” said Sen. Chris Coons, D-Del., a Biden ally. “And that we lay bare the record of just how responsible and how abjectly violating of his constitutional oath President Trump really was.”

Uh huh.

What a bunch of garbage.

Meanwhile, on the “other side” of the political aisle”…

Several Republican congressmen sent a letter Monday to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., demanding answers to what she knew concerning security decisions leading up to and including the day of the siege on the Capitol on Jan. 6.

The letter to Pelosi – sent by Reps. Rodney Davis, R-Ill.; Jim Jordan, R-Ohio; James Comer, R-Ky.; and Devin Nunes, R-Calif. – said “many important questions about your responsibility for the security of the Capitol remain unanswered. As you are aware, the Speaker of the House is not only the leader of the majority party, but also . . . is responsible for all operational decisions made within the House.”

The GOP representatives said there were many calls from both Democrats and Republicans following the riot for a full bipartisan and bicameral review. But instead, the Republicans charged, Pelosi took actions “in a partisan manner without any consultation of House Republicans and therefore raise questions about the political motivations of your decisions.”

One example of an unanswered question the letter points out were claims made by former Capitol Police Chief Steve Sund that he requested assistance of the National Guard from the sergeants at arms Jan. 4, two days before the riot. Sund said in a letter to Pelosi last month, the former Sergeant at Arms Paul Irving said he was concerned about “the optics” and did not feel the “intelligence supported it.”

Fox News reported Pelosi’s office responded the security of the Capitol and democracy are “not the priorities of these ranking members,” while saying “the Committees of Jurisdiction were briefed in advance of Jan. 6 about security preparedness.”

“Questions” indeed.

Now, boys and girls, I’m just spit-balling here, but there a several things that just do not add up in Pelosi and the Democrats’ version of what happened on January 6, 2021.

Information has come out that the “insurrection” was pre-planned. An allegation proven by the fact that pipe bombs were planted and found before the end of President Trump’s speech that day.

Also, the “rioters” were already “storming” the Capitol while Trump was still speaking.

And, why, as seen in the tweet above, did she block the request for 10,000 National Guard Troops from President Trump, himself?

Oh, and why did the police officers guarding the Capital Building let the rioters in?

By the way, of the two hundred fifty people, out of the tens of thousands who were at Trump’s Speech, arrested for their actions that day, they are finding nut jobs who DID NOT VOTE FOR TRUMP.

In fact, they did not even vote in the 2020 Presidential Election.

Y’know, Pelosi sure is reticent to talk about her duties as Speaker of the House as they pertain to the “insurrection”.

I hope that I do not sound like a conspiracy theorist, but…what if the entire “insurgence” on January 6th was not just preplanned but it was a political frame job by Pelosi and the Democrat Elite.

Come to think of it, my supposition is not that far-fetched when you consider the same crowd attempted to unconstitutionally impeach a private citizen simply because they were overcome with Trump Derangement Syndrome and they did not want to him to be able to run for President again in 2024 or be involved in politics in any way.

And, now those same professional politicians are going to to provide cover for themselves with a “9/11-Style Commission”, once again going after a private citizen in a vendetta which the entire nation has already recognized to be wrong and not important to the needs of our country and her people .

To quote the late John Lennon, “Strange days, indeed”.

Trump 2, Pelosi 0 – Trump Issues Statement After Being Acquitted – “Together There is Nothing We Cannot Accomplish”

Image

Newsmax.com posted the following Statement by Donald J. Trump, 45th President of the United States of America after he was acquitted in an unconstitutional Trial brought before the Senate by the House Democrats…

I want to first thank my team of dedicated lawyers and others for their tireless work upholding justice and defending truth.

My deepest thanks as well to all of the United States Senators and Members of Congress who stood proudly for the Constitution we all revere and for the sacred legal principles at the heart of our country.

Our cherished Constitutional Republic was founded on the impartial rule of law, the indispensable safeguard for our liberties, our rights and our freedoms.

It is a sad commentary on our times that one political party in America is given a free pass to denigrate the rule of law, defame law enforcement, cheer mobs, excuse rioters, and transform justice into a tool of political vengeance, and persecute, blacklist, cancel and suppress all people and viewpoints with whom or which they disagree. I always have, and always will, be a champion for the unwavering rule of law, the heroes of law enforcement, and the right of Americans to peacefully and honorably debate the issues of the day without malice and without hate.

This has been yet another phase of the greatest witch hunt in the history of our Country. No president has ever gone through anything like it, and it continues because our opponents cannot forget the almost 75 million people, the highest number ever for a sitting president, who voted for us just a few short months ago.

I also want to convey my gratitude to the millions of decent, hardworking, law-abiding, God-and-Country loving citizens who have bravely supported these important principles in these very difficult and challenging times.

Our historic, patriotic and beautiful movement to Make America Great Again has only just begun. In the months ahead I have much to share with you, and I look forward to continuing our incredible journey together to achieve American greatness for all of our people. There has never been anything like it!

We have so much work ahead of us, and soon we will emerge with a vision for a bright, radiant, and limitless American future.

Together there is nothing we cannot accomplish.

We remain one People, one family, and one glorious nation under God, and it’s our responsibility to preserve this magnificent inheritance for our children and for generations of Americans to come.

May God bless all of you, and may God forever bless the United States of America.

I must confess, I watched the proceedings gavel-to-gavel yesterday.

And, as someone who has served on both State and Federal Grand Juries, I can tell you that it did my heart good to see the down-to-earth Philadelphia Lawyer, Michael Van Der Veen, mop the floor with a bunch of self-righteous Democrat House Managers.

When Van Der Veen called Raskin’s bluff about calling witnesses, I shouted “Yes!” so loud I was afraid the neighbors heard me.

The House Managers’ smugness  was simply overconfidence masking the fact that they were not prepared to logically argue the Article of Impeachment. Heavily-edited video packages and emotional rhetoric are no substitute for the truth.

Van Der Veen cut up and laid out the House Managers’ flimsy case like a Japanese chef cooking fried rice at Benihana.

It was a joy to watch.

Judging from his response, I believe that Former President Trump enjoyed the work of his attorneys, as well.

His statement above reminds me of what we lost on November 3, 2020.

We lost a genuine American President.

A Citizen Statesman who loves the American people and who believes that we are the greatest people and the greatest country in the world.

As he wrote in his response, President Trump “BACKS THE BLUE”.

The Democrats only do when they can use them to make a political point. Otherwise, they want to defund them to stay in the good graces of BLM, Antifa, and the rest of their Far Left Voting Base.

Unlike todays Democrat Elite who reside on Capitol Hill, President Trump still believes in the things that have made America great.

And, whether he decides to run in 2024 for President again or not, he will still be a voice who matters in American Politics.

Don’t believe me? Just look at videos of the Democrat Meltdown by the Elites on both sides of the political aisle on Capitol Hill yesterday afternoon.

It was glorious.

MAGA, AMERICANS!

Rep. Matt Gaetz: “Tears on the Senate Floor Have Not Necessarily Moved the American People”…He’s Right

See the source image

Newsmax.com reports that

Tears on the Senate floor have not necessarily moved the American people, Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., said Wednesday on Newsmax TV.

Democrat lawmakers delivered emotional presentations on both Tuesday and Wednesday, the first two days of the Senate trial following the House’s impeachment of former President Donald Trump. Trump stands accused of inciting the protesters who rioted at and overran the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6.

“You have this emotion-based argument driven by the Democrats,” in-studio guest Gaetz told host Greg Kelly on “Greg Kelly Reports.” “And while they’re tearing up each and every day, I don’t know that they’re moving the American people.

“The American people would probably like to be the subject of the focus of their government rather than seeing the Democrats obsessed with the former president.”

Although he questioned the approach of Trump attorney Bruce Castor’s opening remarks Tuesday, which many critics and observers called light on constitutional law and heavy on folksy appeal, Gaetz said the Democrats have overreached with their own efforts.

“We are watching as the Democrats are now expanding their indictment beyond just President Trump to his supporters, to the people who showed up in Washington, D.C., not to do any harm, not to breach the Capitol, but to express their displeasure with an election that they believe should have been run with tighter standards,” Gaetz said.

“I do think President Trump’s defense has missed the opportunity to define the president’s concerns about election integrity as entirely proper when you have officials in some of these states unilaterally departing from the law.”

After saying “never take your position in any trial for granted,” Gaetz nevertheless sounded a note of confidence about the trial’s outcome.

“He’s not going to be convicted,” Gaetz said. “There’s not going to be some action against Trump here. This is all about the Democrats having to obsess over Trump, because they don’t really have an agenda to help regular Americans.”

Well said, Congressman Gaetz.

The Far Left Democratic Party has a history of underestimating the intelligence of average American Voters, especially those of us living between the coasts, in what they call “Flyover Country” or what we call “The Heartland”.

President Trump was not a Goering, Mussolini, Hitler, or Svengali.

He did not have to use some sort of hypnotism to make 74 million American Voters vote for him.

We all saw what that brash New York Businessman did for the country which he and we love.

He had America’s Economy soaring before the Chinese released their coronavirus from that lab in Wuhan Province.

And, even after that happened, he refused to give up, pushing for the pharmaceutical companies to develop a vaccine at record speed.

Unlike the professional politicians who look down on us from Capitol Hill, Trump actually cares for the American People.

You see, Gentle Readers, Trump has always been a “people person”.

He is not, and never has been, a professional politician.

And, he refuses to play by THEIR rules.

THANK GOD.

That is the reason that, when he was still a contributor to Fox News, he would speak to everyone in the building, from the maintenance crew, on up the ladder.

As Sam Walton, the Founder of Walmart, knew, you don’t inspire people by acting imperious and above it all.

“Mr. Sam”, until his health would no longer allow him to do so, would travel to Walmart Stores in his old pickup truck, with a tie and a baseball cap on, visiting the employees, in order to find out how his stores were doing.

He knew that the only way to be successful and to stay in touch with the public, was to be out among them, and speak to them honestly and directly, as one would speak to a friend.

Just as President Trump did when he went on a “Thank You” Tour and as he did with his Daily Tweets to the American People..

The Political Establishment, of both parties, lost that concept, a long time ago.

Bypassing the borders to communication, historically determined by both political parties and the Main Stream Media, is a concept which I first witnessed being used by a Presidential Candidate in the 1980 Presidential Election, the before-mentioned Ronald Wilson Reagan.

While I am not comparing the two, I am noting that this strategy has proved effective for both men.

Regardless of what Democrats up on Capitol Hill and their Propaganda Arm, the Main Stream Media tell everyone who will listen to them, Trump helped and inspired a lot of his countrymen, a way of governing which continues to strike a resonant chord in the hearts of Average Americans,

As far as the speech on January 6th, 2021 goes, House Managers serving as prosecutors have focused on Trump’s comments during the rally urging his supporters to “fight like hell” and urging them to go to the Capitol.

But Trump also urged the crowd to “peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard.”

For the Democrats to intentionally edit that out has let the American Voting Public know that this is not a Constitutional Impeachment, it is a vendetta designed to separate Donald J. Trump from the voters and make sure than he cannot run again in 2024.

It is also meant as a warning to all of us “Deplorables” to “sit down, shut up, and know your rule”.

Unfortunately for the Democrats, Former President Donald J. Trump will be acquitted and…well…we Americans in “Flyover Country” are not very good at taking orders from those who were sent to Washington to SERVE US.

Until He Comes,

Shampeachment 2 Begins With a Deceptively-Edited “Horror Show” Which Will Still Lead to an Acquittal

Newsmax.com reports that

Donald Trump’s second impeachment trial began Tuesday with harrowing video footage of his supporters’ assault on Congress, but Republican senators made clear with a first key vote late in the afternoon how difficult it will be to win a conviction.

Senators voted 56-44 in favor of the constitutionality of the historic trial, rejecting a bid by Trump’s lawyers to throw it out on grounds that a former president cannot be tried by lawmakers.

The vote, held before the main part of the trial was to get underway Wednesday, saw six Republicans join all 50 Democrats in the evenly divided Senate.

Despite this modest show of bipartisanship, the result highlighted the nearly impossible task of getting the two thirds majority — requiring 17 Republicans to join the Democrats — that would be needed to convict Trump of inciting insurrection.

Earlier, both sides presented their opening cases, with Democrats arguing that Trump broke his oath in a naked bid to retain power after losing the November election to Joe Biden.

Refusing to accept his defeat, they argued, Trump spread lies about vote rigging and repeatedly pressured officials, including then-Vice President Mike Pence, to try and stop the transfer of power.

Finally, on Jan. 6, Trump held a rally not far from the Capitol building, telling enraged Republican supporters near the White House to “fight like hell” to save the democracy. The crowd, chanting “stop the steal,” then attacked Congress, where Pence and lawmakers were in the process of certifying Biden’s Electoral College victory.

“If Congress were to just stand completely aside in the face of such an extraordinary crime against the Republic, it would invite future presidents to use their power without any fear of accountability,” Democratic impeachment manager Joe Neguse said.

Video from the Jan. 6 mayhem played back inside the ornate Senate packed the biggest punch.

Senators — who witnessed the events firsthand when they had to be rushed to safety that day — watched raw footage of Trump’s speech and the crowd’s ensuing assault on the Capitol.

The video montage showed the mob chanting pro-Trump slogans as it smashed through the doors, swarmed over police, and managed for the first time in history to disrupt the congressional vote certifying the election.

“If that’s not an impeachable offense, then there is no such thing,” lead impeachment manager Jamie Raskin said.

Fighting tears, Raskin recounted how he and his family — who were visiting to watch the certification — had been trapped, listening to “the sound of pounding on the door like a battering ram, the most haunting sound I have ever heard.”

“This cannot be the future of America,” he implored senators.

Trump laywer David Schoen, however, had a vastly different story to tell. He said the Senate had no jurisdiction to try Trump once he had left office and warned that the impeachment threatened to “tear this country apart.”

It will leave the United States “far more divided and our standing around the world will be badly broken,” he argued.

– Trump sets record –

Trump is the first president ever to face two impeachment trials — he was already acquitted in 2020 of abuse of power — as well as the first in history to be tried after leaving the White House.

His team is basing its case largely on the procedural argument that a former president cannot be tried, calling the Senate trial “absurd.”

They also argue that whatever Trump said during his Jan. 6 rally is protected by the constitutional right to free speech and did not come close to ordering the assault on Congress.

The trial is clearly uncomfortable for many Republican senators, who, like their Democratic colleagues, had to flee to safety during the violence. Reminders of the mayhem are everywhere around them, with thousands of National Guard troops still deployed around the newly fortified, fenced-in Capitol building.

Despite this, a second acquittal is all but certain for Trump.

Huge numbers of Republican voters continue to support the ex-president.

Polls show that a small majority of the country overall believes Trump deserves conviction. An Ipsos/ABC News poll found 56 percent back this, while a Gallup poll found 52 percent support. Among Republicans, however, an overwhelming majority opposes convicting Trump.

Per ABC.Go.com,

This ABC News/Ipsos poll was conducted by Ipsos Public Affairs‘ KnowledgePanel® Feb. 5 to 6, 2021, in English and Spanish, among a random national sample of 508 adults. Results have a margin of sampling error of 4.8 points, including the design effect. Partisan divisions are 31%-26%-36%, Democrats-Republicans-independents.

As you can see, this was , as are the majority of the nationals polls, a poll with a sample weighted toward a Democrat-favorable response.

Typically, when a poll identifies some of its sample as “Independents”, they are usually Liberal Democrats who purposefully hide their true political ideology.

If I was one of them, I would be embarrassed, too.

But, I digress.

While still at home from work, recovering from COVID-19, I followed the Twitter responses to Shampeachment 2: TDS Boogaloo on my phone.

The same Democrat Operatives, like the idiotic Jennifer Rubin, Proclaimed that the deceptively-edited Democrat Video of the “Capitol Hill Riot” on January 6th was the greatest thing since sliced bread.

They also made fun of David Shoen for holding the top of his head while taking a sip of water.

Evidently, they were too ignorant to realize that Shoen is Jewish and is used to having to hold his yarmulke on his head while tilting back to drink.

Jedidiah Bila and Bret Baier of cellar-dwelling Fox News joined in with the other Liberals concerning how wonderful the Democrats opening presentation was, neglecting to mention that President Trump called for a “peaceful protest” during his speech and the fact that evidence has been coming in that the “riot” not only was pre-planned, but one of the rioters was an FBI Veteran and possible Deep State Operative.

As the Newsmax article points out, all Shampeachment 2 is, is a waste of time and our money.

The Democrats do not have the votes in this unconstitutional attempt to keep President Trump from running in 2024.

Trump will be acquitted for a second time, even with Democrat Senator Patrick “Leaky” Leahy acting as “judge” and juror.

And, the 74 million Americans who voted for Donald J. Trump on November 3, 2020, will laugh their butts off at “The Smartest People in the Room” as their “Brilliant” Plan to shame Donald J. Trump and those of us who voted for him blows up in their smug elite faces.

Newsmax.com reports that

The Senate leaders have reached a deal with House impeachment managers on the rules for the second trial of former President Donald Trump.

“All parties have agreed to a structure that will ensure a fair and honest impeachment trial,” Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., announced Monday on the Senate floor. “The structure we have agreed to is eminently fair. It will allow for the trial to achieve its purpose: truth and accountability.”

There will be a debate and a subsequent simple majority vote Tuesday on the constitutionality of the impeachment trial of a former president. The Democrats have more votes in the Senate if it breaks 50-50, since Vice President Kamala Harris would cast the deciding vote. Late last month, 5 anti-Trump Republicans voted with Democrats to proceed to a Senate trial.

Then, Wednesday, there will be 16 hours of debate for both the House impeachment managers and Trump’s defense lawyers. Trump has declined an invitation to testify on his behalf.

After the senator jurors’ question period, there will be a debate and a vote on whether to call witnesses, as requested by the House impeachment managers. No witnesses were called during the passing of the House article of impeachment of “incitement of an insurrection.”

“There must, there must be truth and accountability if we are going to move forward, heal, and bring our country together once again,” Schumer said. “Sweeping something as momentous as this under the rug brings no healing whatsoever.

“A president cannot simply resign to avoid accountability for an impeachable offense, nor can they escape judgment by waiting until their final few weeks in office to betray our country.”

“The impeachment powers,” he added, “cannot be defeated by a president who decides to run.”

The trial will recess by Friday 5 p.m. ET through Saturday at the request of defense attorney David Schoen, who observes the Jewish Sabbath, per the report.

Whatever.

It is still unconstitutional!!!

Retired Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz told Newsmax TV on Monday that former President Donald Trump’s lawyers have three fundamental principles to argue in his impeachment trial when it starts on Tuesday, not the least of which is that the Senate can’t violate the Constitution to convict him.

Dershowitz, who defended Trump in his first impeachment trial a year ago, said Trump’s attorneys should argue several points against the charge of “incitement to insurrection.” The charge by the House refers to when he spoke to supporters on Jan. 6 in Washington before some breached the U.S. Capitol. Some lawmakers allege he egged them on in his remarks before the riot, in which there were five fatalities.

Point 1 to Dershowitz: The Senate has no jurisdiction over a former president. If it did, it could convict any former officeholder — think former President Bill Clinton, for instance — without a statute of limitations.

Secondly, Trump’s speech to supporters in Washington, in which he reiterated his long-standing claim that he lost the Nov. 3 election due to massive election fraud, was constitutionally protected.

He said the Trump team should argue that Congress cannot deny Trump the freedom of speech by saying it doesn’t apply to him.

“The Senate can’t violate the First Amendment in it’s impeachment,” Dershowitz said on “Spicer & Co.” “The House managers said the First Amendment isn’t applicable. Impeachment stands on its own.”

reeheesn the clow, send in siping circusarticipating in this three-cpectablet rt In my 62 years of life, I have never seen a President relentlessly attacked by the opposition party the way the President Donald J. Trump was.

Heck, they started before he and Melania came down that escalator to announce his candidacy.

That is how much they feared the man.

Even the Chinese releasing a worldwide plague in the form of a coronavirus couldn’t stop him. It merely slowed him down.

The economy was beginning to come back before the election.

If you consider the enormity of the political attacks which President Trump has had to endure over the last 5 years, it is simply amazing that he kept his hand on the captain’s wheel of the Ship of State.

Even before he was a candidate, the Deep State, under the orders of President Barack Hussein Obama was spying on him.

He had to battle a snobbish Republican Elite to even make it to the primaries when he emerged victorious over a group of professional politicians.

He then had to battle the Vichy Republicans, the Democrats, and the Main Stream Media, who all would have rather the Queen of Mean, Hillary Clinton had won the Presidency.

Then, once he took the Oath of Office, all bets were off, as the Republican-led House and Speaker Paul Ryan , along with Mitch McConnell and the rest of the Vichy Republicans in the Senate fought him every step of the way,, including appointing a Special Counselor to investigate “Russian Collusion”, which was a false charge from the get-go, which eventually failed to prove anything.

Then, after the Democrats took back the House in 2018, Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Jerry Nadler, Adam Schiff, and the rest of the cast of idiots attempted a sham impeachment based on a “perfect” phone call to the President of Ukraine.

And, after all of that, he had to face was a rigged election, which polls show that 76% of Americans admit was rigged.

Now, the Democrats and Vichy Republicans have come up with the ultimate plan: an unconstitutional impeachment of a private citizen, accusing him of inciting violence in our nation’s capital.

If found guilty in their kangaroo court, Donald J. Trump will never be able to run from President again.

There are several problems with this ultimate plan drawn up by “the smartest people in the room”.

First, evidence continues to come out that this attack was preplanned. President Trump had nothing to do with it.

Second, he called upon the crowd to “peaceful protest”. While he was doing that, the preplanned attacked was already in progress.

Finally, you cannot, as Professor Dershowitz pointed out, convict a private citizen for exercising their First Amendment Right to Free Speech.

If you could, Maxine Waters, Chuck Schumer and the rest of the Democrats who have threated Trump and his supporters over the last 4five years, would already be in jail.

Today will be the start of a sorry spectacle.

All those who participated in all of the illegal and Unconstitutional acts perpetrated against President Trump in the last five years and are participating in this three ring circus should be ashamed.

However, they are all professional bureaucrats and politicians.

They have no shame.

So…send in the clowns.

Too late…they’re here.

Until He Comes,

KJ
