Congress to Vote For Disastrous Iran Deal. Chinese Air Force Buzzes Obama in Alaska. This is “Smart Power”?

Obama-Shrinks-2In the 1980s, the popularity of the President of the United States of America was not just limited to the boundaries of our nation. Ronald Wilson Reagan was admired the world over. The things that he accomplished, along with his friends, Prime Minister of Britain Margaret Thatcher, Soviet Premier Mikhail Gorbachev, and Pope John Paul II, have caused Ronald Reagan’s two terms as President to be recorded as a seminal moment in world history.

I remember watching President Reagan speak at the Berlin Wall. When he said, “Mr Gorbachev tear down this wall!”, I was never prouder to be an American and of an American president, than at that moment.

The Liberal Democrats lost their collective minds.

For you see, Liberal Democrats, just as they do now, hate it when Marxism gives way to Freedom.

Nothing bothers them more than when a strong American President is at the forefront of a conquering moment, when a strong foreign policy, based on the reality that negotiating from a position of strength is always more effective than negotiating from a position of weakness.

Fast forward to the present, where an ineffective President Barack Hussein Obama is looking like a narcissistic fool to a world who used to look to America as a bastion of strength and freedom, not weakness and political expediencies.

President Barack Hussein Obama has placed us in untenable position with his clueless, dangerous, weak, and vacillating Smart Power Foreign Policy.

Foxnews.com reports that

Five Chinese navy ships have been spotted in the Bering Sea, off the Alaska coast, coinciding with President Obama’s visit to the state, a senior defense official confirmed to Fox News.

Navy Commander Bill Urban, a Pentagon spokesman, said Wednesday the sighting marked the first time ships from the People’s Liberation Army Navy were seen in the Bering Sea.

“We respect the freedom of all nations to operate military vessels in international waters in accordance with international law,” Urban said.

There are three surface warfare ships, one amphibious assault ship and one supply vessel. The Wall Street Journal was first to report the sighting.

White House spokesman Josh Earnest told reporters on Wednesday that the Defense Department “positively identified a number of Chinese naval vessels in that region, but based on their analysis, they have not detected any sort of threat or threatening activities.”

The U.S. military reportedly has been aware of the ships and tracking their movements for days as they moved through international waters. Earnest said the intent of the ships’ presence “is still unclear” while speaking aboard Air Force One as Obama flew near the Bering Sea.

Obama was in Alaska to speak about climate change.

A massive military parade will begin in Beijing Wednesday night, including some 10,000 soldiers, hundreds of aircraft and weaponry not previously shown in public, according to Chinese state media. The parade is to mark Japan’s surrender in World War II. An estimated 14 million Chinese were killed by the Japanese during the war.  

Among the invited guests are Russian President Vladimir Putin, Sudan President Omar al-Bashir, and Mexican government officials, according to the Associated Press.

The massive parade and show of force comes just weeks before Chinese President Xi Jinping visits Washington.

Samantha Power, U.S. Permanent Representative to the United Nations, told reporters Tuesday at the State Dept briefing that China’s human rights were “going to be a key, core issue when President Xi visits Washington.”

The Obama administration now appears to have enough support in Congress to stave off Republican efforts to reject the president’s controversial Iran nuclear deal, after a retiring Maryland Democratic senator came out Wednesday morning in favor of the pact. 

Sen. Barbara Mikulski, D-Md., announced her support for the deal as Secretary of State John Kerry delivered a lengthy and detailed address in Philadelphia defending the accord. 

In his speech, Kerry disputed what he called “false information” circulating on the deal. He said, contrary to the views of many critics, that the deal provides “access” to keep Iran in check, preserves “every option” to respond if Iran balks, and has elements that will last “for the lifetime of Iran’s nuclear program.” 

“President Obama and I are convinced beyond any reasonable doubt that the framework that we have put forward will get the job done,” Kerry said. 

But, with Mikulski’s endorsement locked down, the speech served more as a public reminder of the administration’s stance than a last-minute appeal for support. 

Mikulski becomes the 34th senator to support the deal — giving President Obama enough backing to sustain a veto of a Republican bill opposing it, should that bill pass in a vote later this month. Unless an announced supporter flips his or her vote, Obama would appear to have the crucial coalition in place to preserve the agreement on Capitol Hill. 

“No deal is perfect, especially one negotiated with the Iranian regime,” Mikulski said in a statement. “I have concluded that this Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action is the best option available to block Iran from having a nuclear bomb. For these reasons, I will vote in favor of this deal.” 

Her support, though, doesn’t end what has been a raging debate. Opposition to the agreement among Republicans, among ex-military leaders and in Israel remains widespread. 

“Forcing a bad deal, over the objections of the American people and a majority in Congress, is no win for President Obama,” said Cory Fritz, spokesman for House Speaker John Boehner. “The White House may have convinced just enough Democrats to back an agreement that legitimizes Iran’s nuclear program, trusts the regime to self-inspect and offers amnesty to terrorists, but this deal is far from being implemented.” 

The latest report warning of dire consequences from the agreement came Wednesday morning, from the Iran Strategy Council, a group of ex-senior military officials and defense analysts examining the deal for the The Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs. The group is co-chaired by retired Gen. James Conway, who served as Marines commandant in the beginning of the Obama administration, and retired Gen. Charles Wald. 

“The [nuclear deal] will not prevent a nuclear Iran,” the report said, warning of “potentially grave strategic implications” that threaten national security. “No later than 15 years, the deal’s major nuclear restrictions will lapse, Iran will stand on the brink of nuclear weapons capability, and once again the United States will likely have to devote significant resources and attention to keeping Tehran from attaining nuclear weapons.” 

The group was referring to the sunset of major provisions after 15 years. But Kerry and others in the administration argue that even after that period, Iran will remain subject to the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty and have to abide by inspection requirements. Kerry also argued Wednesday that Iran’s “covert pathway” to a bomb would be blocked, and that the intelligence community agrees Iran “could never get away” with establishing a “completely secret nuclear supply chain.” He said rejecting a deal would hurt the U.S. and endanger the region. 

Kerry also sent a letter Wednesday to all members of Congress outlining U.S. security commitments to Israel and the Gulf Arab states in light of the nuclear deal. 

Republicans in Congress and running for president unanimously oppose the deal, which aims to curb Iran’s nuclear program in exchange for relief from economic sanctions. 

The Israeli government is vehemently against it, contending that concessions made to Iran could empower that country, which has sworn to destroy Israel. But critics struggled to use Congress’ summer recess to turn the tide against the agreement, despite a multimillion-dollar lobbying campaign funded by the powerful American Israel Public Affairs Committee, or AIPAC.

It is no wonder that after Obama was first elected, the British tabloids nicknamed him “President Pantywaist”, after watching the wussy way he bowed to world leaders…something American Presidents have never done before.

And, of course, through the Obama Administration’s embrace of this emasculating philosophy, this philosophy has extended into our military, with Obama’s “Military Experts” being more concerned about performing Social Engineering Experiments on our troops, such as ending “Don’t Ask. Don’t Tell”, changing the hats they wear, and relaxing female hairstyles, than they are about protecting our country and defeating our enemies.

Somewhere in the bowels of the Kremlin, Putin is laughing his hindquarters off at us.

During the reign of the Obama Administration, a concentrated and deliberate effort has been made to change America from the land of Sgt. Alvin York to the land of RuPaul.

The reason that presidents like Ronald Reagan were so successful was that they were American men first and United States Presidents second. They were raised with Traditional American Values. They were raised by loving parents who disciplined them when they needed it, along the way, teaching them the difference between right and wrong, the love of God and Country, and the fact that the world did not revolve around them.

We can get back on the right track as a nation, however, it will take a man of Courage, Conviction,  and Traditional Christian American Faith & Values to lead our country back from the abyss we find ourselves in.

I pray that that man steps forward… while we still have a country.

Victory’s Aftermath…What Now? (A KJ Op Ed)

AFBrancoHarryReid1152014So, here we are, two days removed from a Political Tsunami which registered at 10 on the Richter scale .

We were all walking around on cloud nine yesterday, celebrating the victory of the Republican Party… and America. Later on that afternoon, reality reared its ugly head, as President Barack Hussein Obama strode to the podium.

In an attempt to appear bipartisan, Obama instead looked like a petulant 7-year-old, who was threatening to take his ball and go home. President Pantywaist was visibly irritated by the straightforward questions of a mainstream media ,who  now, after being awakened by the Republican landslide of the night before, determined to show the public that they actually could be objective (or, getting even with Obama for the Democrats losing so badly), by asking the president tough questions, instead of the usual softballs which they had thrown in the last 7 years.

Petulant President Pantywaist was not very pleased at all. His answers, while skirting the surface of bipartisanship, were still undergirded by the same divisiveness which Obama has demonstrated with such zeal during his presidency.

Do you remember when Barack Hussein Obama first burst onto the scene? It was during the 2004 Democratic National Convention. Here was this young Senator from the state of Illinois, who received the opportunity of a lifetime, to be one of the main speakers at the convention.

Meticulously prepared by his handlers,  when the young Senator took the stage, you would have thought that he was the second coming of Elvis.

George Soros, David Axelrod ,and all of the powers behind the scenes in the Democratic Party made sure that the Main Stream Media would trumpet the triumphant arrival of their next “Golden Boy”, a charismatic individual who would carry the Democrat Party on his back in their quest to reclaim the White House.

And sure enough, thanks to a propaganda campaign by the Main Stream Media and a Democrat ground game spearheaded by the illegal efforts of ACORN, America’s low information voters, desperately wanting to ride the wave of an event which they were told would be historic, the election of America’s first black president, elected instead, America’s first Anti-American president.

As our country quickly found out, we did not elect a world leader, we elected a community organizer.

The problem that Republicans face in dealing with the incumbent President, is the fact that, after 7 years as President, Obama is still nothing but a community organizer. He is still trying to fight “The Man”. His use of the rhetoric of c=Class Warfare is meant to be racially divisive and is meant to consolidate his power base.

However, as eloquently demonstrated on Tuesday night, the overwhelming majority of Americans have  a different perspective on our nation and the problems we face, than President Barack Hussein Obama does.

When Obama was asked by one of the reporters in his press conference yesterday if the election was a referendum on his leadership, Obama claimed that it was not.

But then again, what did we expect him to say? That, yes, he’s a lousy president?

Just as it has during the entire length of his failed presidency, Obama’s arrogance would not allow the Lightbringer to admit the dire situation that our country finds itself in.

In fact, Obama had the nerve to describe how much better off our nation was than when he took over.

The 92 million six hundred thousand Americans, who are no longer in our workforce, would disagree with him .

Republicans face a daunting challenge.

For those of us who voted them into office, it was a mission to preserve this Blessed Land. However, it was not just a mission of preservation, it was a mission of salvation.

It is up to Republicans to hold the line against a barrage of executive orders which will soon come from Obama’s desk.

Make no mistake, Tuesday night’s election results were a mandate. Every single Republican who ran for Congress and who got elected on Tuesday night, promised to repeal Obamacare.

Now, while that may not be possible while Obama is sitting behind the desk in the Oval Office , the Republicans need to make every effort to move in that direction before the 2016 presidential election.

This is the time for the Republicans to display resolute leadership, not the go along-to-get-along spineless behavior, which we have seen all too often during the last 7 years. They have control of Congress now. Harry Reid is no longer blocking legislation.

Republicans, if they wish to cement their legacy, have to start listening to the ones who elected them on Tuesday night. They witnessed firsthand what happens to politicians who value the wishes of special interest groups over those of average Americans.

As Kevin Kline said in the movie “Dave” about the Presidency, being elected to Congress is a temp job.

It is not an entitlement.

Tuesday night, the American people spoke loud and clear. We love our country. And, we will stand up to anybody who wants to radically change her in a direction in which we do not want to go.

This is not a democracy, a Marxist State, or a monarchy . This is a Constitutional Republic.

It is way past time to see our system of Checks and Balances at work once again.

Tuesday night, the American people gave the Republican Party the ball. Let’s see what they do with it.

Russia Invades Ukraine. Liberals Owe Sarah Palin Another Apology.

Speaking Tuesday at a rally in a Reno, Nevada, Republican vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin had a little fun with her counterpart on the Democratic ticket, thanking Joe Biden for warning Barack Obama’s supporters to “gird your loins” for an international crisis if the Illinois senator wins.

Palin helpfully offered four scenarios for such a crisis, one of which was this strange one:

After the Russian Army invaded the nation of Georgia, Senator Obama’s reaction was one of indecision and moral equivalence, the kind of response that would only encourage Russia’s Putin to invade Ukraine next.

In February of this year, Breitbart.com reported that

For those comments, she was mocked by the high-brow Foreign Policy magazine and its editor Blake Hounshell, who now is one of the editors of Politico magazine. 

In light of recent events in Ukraine and concerns that Russia is getting its troops ready to cross the border into the neighboring nation, nobody seems to be laughing at or dismissing those comments now.

Hounshell wrote then that Palin’s comments were “strange” and “this is an extremely far-fetched scenario.”

“And given how Russia has been able to unsettle Ukraine’s pro-Western government without firing a shot, I don’t see why violence would be necessary to bring Kiev to heel,” Hounshell dismissively wrote. 

Palin made her remarks on the stump after Obama’s running mate Joe Biden warned Obama supporters to “gird  your loins” if Obama is elected because international leaders may test or try to take advantage of him.

The New York Times reported yesterday that

Supported by NATO satellite imagery showing Russian forces on the move in eastern Ukraine, its president accused Russia on Thursday of an invasion to aid the separatists, and his national security council ordered mandatory conscription to help counter what he called an “extremely difficult” threat.

The assertions by the president, Petro O. Poroshenko, came two days after he had met with President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia in attempts to find a way to end the nearly six-month-old crisis roiling Ukraine. The conflict has escalated into the worst East-West confrontation since the Cold War, and the developments on the ground in the rebellious east along the Russian border suggested it would worsen.

Mr. Poroshenko scrapped a trip to Turkey to deal with the crisis and called an emergency meeting of the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council. He dismissed Kremlin claims that any Russian soldiers in Ukraine were volunteers who had sacrificed their vacations to help the heavily pro-Russian east suffering oppression from the Kiev central government.

“Columns of heavy artillery, huge loads of arms and regular Russian servicemen came to the territory of Ukraine from Russia through the uncontrolled border area,” Mr. Poroshenko said. Mercenaries, along with regular servicemen, were trying to overrun positions held by the Ukrainian military, he said, according to a statement on his official website.

“The situation is certainly extremely difficult and nobody is going to simplify it,” Mr. Poroshenko said.

Anticipating the possibility of direct combat between Ukrainian and Russian troops, the council later announced it had reimposed mandatory military service, suspended last year.

Mr. Poroshenko spoke as NATO released satellite images to corroborate accusations that Russian forces were actively involved in Ukraine fighting. NATO also said that more than 1,000 Russian soldiers had joined the separatists battling the Ukrainian military.

Back in February of this year, Sarah Palin wrote on her Facebook Page that

Yes, I could see this one from Alaska.

Miss Sarah, if we had known President Pantywaist as we do now, I believe that any American with common sense could have predicted it.

From the moment, Obama announced the appointment of his Democratic Primary Opponent, Hillary Rodham Clinton, to be his Secretary of State, Americans felt a prophetic shiver go up their spine.

The Former First Lady had about as much experience in foreign affairs as Michelle Obama has in pushing away from a buffet table.

Obama and Clinton decided to call their Foreign Policy Initiative “Smart Power

Unfortunately, for our nation’s safety, it has turned out to be anything but “smart” or “powerful”.

Obama’s failure at Foreign Policy has led to the entire Middle East being consumed by the Bonfire of The Vanities, known as “Arab Spring” in which Moderate Muslims dictators were replaced by Radical Muslim Dictators.

Additionally, during this Arab Spring, on the anniversary of the worst terrorist attack on American soil in history, 4 brave American,s including our ambassador, were slaughtered at the US Embassy Compound in Benghazi, Libya.

No effort to save them that night was made by the Obama administration.

And, the “Leader of the Free World”, blamed a Youtube Video for “stirring up” “peaceful Muslims”.

Since then, Obama has made threats and has drawn red lines in the desert sand in an attempt to show the world that he is a powerful leader.

Unfortunately for our safety as nation, Obama’s Fantasyland view of the world, which is not unlike the old Coca Cola Advertisement where everyone had a Coke and a smile, set him up to be a disastrous failure at Foreign Policy.

A failure which finds our enemies in Iran still working on a nuclear bomb and Russian Leader Vladimir Putin well into the process of annexing surrounding countries and rebuilding the old Soviet Union, which was dissolved thanks to the efforts of a real leader and American President, Ronald Reagan.

The popular defense, currently being thrown against the wall to see if it sticks by Liberals on behalf of their fallen messiah’s failed Foreign Policy, is to attack those who are critical of it, by claiming that we are rooting for the Russian Leader.

In fact, the opposite is true.

We are Americans. We love our country. We cherish our freedom.

As we see our own freedom slipping away through the actions of a failed president and his willing minions, we are sympathetic to Ukraine and the other former Soviet Bloc nations, who are presently under the threat of having their freedom taken from them.

We are critical of this president and his failed Foreign Policy because it is costing these nations their freedom, just as his Domestic Policy is in the process of costing us our own.

As I wrote in the title, All those Liberal Pundits who made fun of Sarah Palin’s prediction of Russia invading the Ukraine, when she made it back in 2008, owe her a big apology.

However, if I was the Former Governor, I would not hold my breath waiting on them.

They won’t apologize to Sarah Palin.

Liberals will always tell you whom they fear.

The mother of executed photo-journalist James Wright Foley, 40, has issued a statement after a video surfaced Tuesday showing his horrific beheading by ISIS terrorists as revenge for U.S. airstrikes in Iraq.

In a statement posted on the Free James Foley Facebook page, Diane Foley writes that she and husband John ‘have never been prouder of our son Jim’.

Mrs Foley writes that her son spent his life fighting to expose the suffering of the Syrian people, while pleading with his captors to spare the lives of remaining captive Steven Joel Soltoff, who also appears in the video as the group’s next target,

‘We implore the kidnappers to spare the lives of the remaining hostages. Like Jim, they are innocents. They have no control over American government policy in Iraq, Syria or anywhere in the world.

‘We thank Jim for all the joy he gave us. He was an extraordinary son, brother, journalist and person.’

…President Barack Obama was briefed on the video as he was flying back to the White House on Air Force One From his Martha’s Vineyard vacation. White House National Security Council spokeswoman Caitlin Hayden says the administration has seen the video.

And, just what did the Leader of the Free World do about this outrage?

That’s right, boys and girls. Absolutely nothing. He went back to his taxpayer-funded vay-cay.

President Obama went back to his vacation on Martha’s Vineyard Tuesday evening following less than 48 hours in Washington, leaving people puzzled over why he came back in the first place.

Obama’s two days in Washington were mostly quiet, and concluded with the president receiving his daily national security briefing in the morning, and joining Vice President Biden to huddle with members of his economic team in the afternoon.

Administration officials have insisted for weeks that the president just wanted to return to the White House for a series of meetings, but the explanation was met with a healthy dose of skepticism, since Obama rarely interrupts his vacations.

Judicial Watch estimates the extra roundtrip cost $1.1 million. Only daughter Malia accompanied Obama back to Washington.

Speculation for why Obama returned focused around the possibility of a secret foreign leader meeting or the roll out of a new administration initiative on immigration or corporate taxes.

But no such explanation materialized.

Remember how gentlemanly Republican Presidential Candidate was to Obama during his campaign? How he refused to “take the gloves off” and attack Obama like he did his fellow Republican Contenders for his Party’s Nomination?

Well, now Mitt says that Obama is even worse in his second term as President than he thought he would be.

Well, duuuh, Mitt.  We told ya so.

The Washington Times reports that

When Mitt Romney stumped here Tuesday for a trio of Republican candidates for Congress, the event had all the trappings of a “Romney for President” rally.

The crowd chanted, “Mitt! Mitt! Mitt!” They applauded loudest when the 2012 Republican standard-bearer took center stage, eclipsing the three Republican candidates who actually will be on West Virginia ballots in November.

Outside the event, union activists demonstrated. They denounced Mr. Romney as a “fat cat” and the “king of exporting jobs.”

Mr. Romney endured the same kinds of attacks during his run as the 2012 Republican presidential nominee.

Just about everyone attending the rally — the Republican candidates, party donors, reporters — pestered Mr. Romney privately and publicly about whether he will run for president again.

Each time, Mr. Romney insisted that he would not run. He has made that claim repeatedly as supporters clamor for his candidacy and his actions — if not his words — send mixed signals about his intentions.

“I’m not running,” Mr. Romney told reporters after the rally. “I’m expecting to be getting behind some good people or a good person who will be [the Republican nominee].”

The former Massachusetts governor has some pointed words for the man who defeated him two years ago, saying President Obama was doing “a good deal worse than even I expected.” He cited the U.S. economy and troubles abroad in such hot spots as Iraq, Syria and Russia.

“I was not a big fan of the president’s policies, as you know, either domestically or internationally,” he said, “but the results of his mistakes and errors, in my opinion, have been more severe than even I would have predicted.”

Really, Mitt? Jim Foley would agree with you. If, he still had his head.

By now, Gentle Reader, you are probably wondering what the point of today’s post is.  

My anger today is all about an oath,, which an ego-centric, unvetted, Former Community Organizer took on Tuesday, January 20, 2009…

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.

Since Obama took Office, he has been on a mission to “radically change” this “Shining City Upon a Hill”, our Constitutional Republic, into a Democratic Socialist country, no better than any other third world country.

His purposeful quest toward weakness and mediocrity has cost Jim Foley his young life.

Obama’s impersonal halfway measures against the Radical Muslims in ISIS,, may have won back a strategic dam, but it has just cost an American’s life.

During his presidency Obama has reached out to adherents of the “Religion of Peace, addressing them shortly after his first Inauguration at the University of Cairo, in a conciliatory speech, setting a milksop tone for his Foreign Policy, which after its full implementation, has turned out, at the hands of Obama and his two Secretaries of State, Hillary Clinton and John Kerry, to be a miserable failure.

The death of Jim Foley is a signal of defiance from ISIS, and, of their disdain for President “Pantywaist, as the British Press dubbed Barack Hussein Obama, early on in his presidency.

Just as President Ronald Reagan, by shooting a missile straight into Muammar Gaddafi’s bedroom, shut him up for 25 years, so does Barack Hussein Obama have to make a show of decisiveness and strentgh, in retaliation for the beheading of Jim Foley, shown on the internet around the world.

The safety of our nation and its citizens demands it.

Yesterday, I convened a meeting with my National Security Council to discuss the situation there, and this morning I received an update from my team. Over the last several days, we’ve seen significant gains made by ISIL, a terrorist organization that operates in both Iraq and in Syria. In the face of a terrorist offensive, Iraqi security forces have proven unable to defend a number of cities, which has allowed the terrorists to overrun a part of Iraq’s territory. And this poses a danger to Iraq and its people. And given the nature of these terrorists, it could pose a threat eventually to American interests as well. Dear Mr. Speaker: (Dear Mr. President:)

Starting on June 15, 2014, up to approximately 275 U.S. Armed Forces personnel are deploying to Iraq to provide support and security for U.S. personnel and the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad. This force is deploying for the purpose of protecting U.S. citizens and property, if necessary, and is equipped for combat. This force will remain in Iraq until the security situation becomes such that it is no longer needed.

This action has been directed consistent with my responsibility to protect U.S. citizens both at home and abroad, and in furtherance of U.S. national security and foreign policy interests, pursuant to my constitutional authority to conduct U.S. foreign relations and as Commander in Chief and Chief Executive.

I am providing this report as part of my efforts to keep the Congress fully informed, consistent with the War Powers Resolution (Public Law 93-148). I appreciate the support of the Congress in these actions.

The following excerpt is from an article published yesterday, 6/17/14, in the Wall Street Journal, written By Dick Cheney and his daughter, Liz.

Dick Cheney was U.S. vice president from 2001-09. Ms. Cheney was the deputy assistant secretary of state for near eastern affairs from 2002-04 and 2005-06.

As the terrorists of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) threaten Baghdad, thousands of slaughtered Iraqis in their wake, it is worth recalling a few of President Obama’s past statements about ISIS and al Qaeda. “If a J.V. team puts on Lakers’ uniforms that doesn’t make them Kobe Bryant” (January 2014). “[C]ore al Qaeda is on its heels, has been decimated” (August 2013). “So, let there be no doubt: The tide of war is receding” (September 2011).

Rarely has a U.S. president been so wrong about so much at the expense of so many. Too many times to count, Mr. Obama has told us he is “ending” the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan—as though wishing made it so. His rhetoric has now come crashing into reality. Watching the black-clad ISIS jihadists take territory once secured by American blood is final proof, if any were needed, that America’s enemies are not “decimated.” They are emboldened and on the march.

The fall of the Iraqi cities of Fallujah, Tikrit, Mosul and Tel Afar, and the establishment of terrorist safe havens across a large swath of the Arab world, present a strategic threat to the security of the United States. Mr. Obama’s actions—before and after ISIS’s recent advances in Iraq—have the effect of increasing that threat.

…The tragedy unfolding in Iraq today is only part of the story. Al Qaeda and its affiliates are resurgent across the globe. According to a recent Rand study, between 2010 and 2013, there was a 58% increase in the number of Salafi-jihadist terror groups around the world. During that same period, the number of terrorists doubled.

In the face of this threat, Mr. Obama is busy ushering America’s adversaries into positions of power in the Middle East. First it was the Russians in Syria. Now, in a move that defies credulity, he toys with the idea of ushering Iran into Iraq. Only a fool would believe American policy in Iraq should be ceded to Iran, the world’s largest state sponsor of terror.

This president is willfully blind to the impact of his policies. Despite the threat to America unfolding across the Middle East, aided by his abandonment of Iraq, he has announced he intends to follow the same policy in Afghanistan.

Despite clear evidence of the dire need for American leadership around the world, the desperation of our allies and the glee of our enemies, President Obama seems determined to leave office ensuring he has taken America down a notch. Indeed, the speed of the terrorists’ takeover of territory in Iraq has been matched only by the speed of American decline on his watch.

…It is time the president and his allies faced some hard truths: America remains at war, and withdrawing troops from the field of battle while our enemies stay in the fight does not “end” wars. Weakness and retreat are provocative. U.S. withdrawal from the world is disastrous and puts our own security at risk.

Al Qaeda and its affiliates are resurgent and they present a security threat not seen since the Cold War. Defeating them will require a strategy—not a fantasy. It will require sustained difficult military, intelligence and diplomatic efforts—not empty misleading rhetoric. It will require rebuilding America’s military capacity—reversing the Obama policies that have weakened our armed forces and reduced our ability to influence events around the world.

American freedom will not be secured by empty threats, meaningless red lines, leading from behind, appeasing our enemies, abandoning our allies, or apologizing for our great nation—all hallmarks to date of the Obama doctrine. Our security, and the security of our friends around the world, can only be guaranteed with a fundamental reversal of the policies of the past six years.

In 1983, President Ronald Reagan said, “If history teaches anything, it teaches that simple-minded appeasement or wishful thinking about our adversaries is folly. It means the betrayal of our past, the squandering of our freedom.” President Obama is on track to securing his legacy as the man who betrayed our past and squandered our freedom.

On June 17, 1982, President Ronald Wilson Reagan spoke before the United Nations General Assembly Special Session Devoted to Disarmament. His closing paragraph reaches to us today, across the decades…

Agreements on arms control and disarmament can be useful in reinforcing peace; but they’re not magic. We should not confuse the signing of agreements with the solving of problems. Simply collecting agreements will not bring peace. Agreements genuinely reinforce peace only when they are kept. Otherwise we’re building a paper castle that will be blown away by the winds of war.

In Obama’s case, it was a mosque built on the shifting sands of Iraq.

The Bergdahl Deal and Obama’s Failed Foreign Policy: How Did We Get Here?

afbranco1Before Barack Hussein Obama (mm mmm mmmm) ascended to the throne of The Regime, he did something no other candidate for American President has ever done.  He campaigned in Europe, where he was treated like a rock star, by both the Europeans and the sycophantic Main Stream Media.  This set the stage for Obama’s Foreign Policy efforts as President.

There have been so many issues that have weakened America on the world stage as Obama has pursued his Foreign Policy, it’s hard to know where to begin.  Come along as I try to relate a few high (low?) points.

1.  The World Apology Tour – Shortly after he took office, President Obama set off for the first of a two-part “World Apology Tour”.   After less than 100 days, he had apologized on three continents for what he viewed as the sins of America and previous presidents.

Per Karl Rove:

Mr. Obama told the French (the French!) that America “has shown arrogance and been dismissive, even derisive” toward Europe.  In Prague, he said America has “a moral responsibility to act” on arms control because only the U.S. had “used a nuclear weapon.” In London, he said that decisions about the world financial system were no longer made by “just Roosevelt and Churchill sitting in a room with a brandy” — as if that were a bad thing. And in Latin America, he said the U.S. had not “pursued and sustained engagement with our neighbors” because we “failed to see that our own progress is tied directly to progress throughout the Americas.”

By apologizing to the world, then- White House Press Secretary Robert “Baghdad Bob” Gibbs said that Scooter had “changed the image of America around the world” and made the U.S. “safer and stronger.”

Having the British call him “President Pantywaist” made us “safer and stronger”?

2.  Global War on Terror –  In a memo e-mailed the week of March 25th, 2009, in the middle of the World Apology Tour, to Pentagon staff members, the Defense Department’s office of security review proclaimed that “this administration prefers to avoid using the term ‘Long War’ or ‘Global War on Terror’ [GWOT.] Please use ‘Overseas Contingency Operation.’ ”  And so it began.

On Thursday, June 4th, 2009 at the University of Cairo, Obama addressed the Muslim World.  Here is an excerpt from the 6:35 a.m. speech:

Islam has a proud tradition of tolerance. We see it in the history of Andalusia and Cordoba during the Inquisition. I saw it firsthand as a child in Indonesia, where devout Christians worshiped freely in an overwhelmingly Muslim country. That is the spirit we need today. People in every country should be free to choose and live their faith-based lives upon the persuasion of the mind, heart, and soul. This tolerance is essential for religion to thrive, but it is being challenged in many different ways.

Among some Muslims, there is a disturbing tendency to measure one’s own faith by the rejection of another’s. The richness of religious diversity must be upheld – whether it is for Maronites in Lebanon or the Copts in Egypt. And fault lines must be closed among Muslims as well, as the divisions between Sunni and Shia have led to tragic violence, particularly in Iraq.

Freedom of religion is central to the ability of peoples to live together. We must always examine the ways in which we protect it. For instance, in the United States, rules on charitable giving have made it harder for Muslims to fulfill their religious obligation. That is why I am committed to working with American Muslims to ensure that they can fulfill zakat.

Likewise, it is important for Western countries to avoid impeding Muslim citizens from practicing religion as they see fit – for instance, by dictating what clothes a Muslim woman should wear. We cannot disguise hostility towards any religion behind the pretence of liberalism.

Scooter believed that by reaching out to the Muslim world through changing and softening our terminology as it pertained to the Jihad declared against the United States by Muslim Extremists, his administration would make huge inroads in America’s relationship with the Islamic World.  After 51/2 years, it has done nothing but encourage our enemies, as evidenced by the increasing number of attacks by Muslim Extremists here in our country.

3.  Smart Power! – At her confirmation hearing before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Secretary of State nominee Hillary Clinton said:

We must use what has been called smart power, the full range of tools at our disposal—diplomatic, economic, military, political, legal, and cultural—picking the right tool, or combination of tools, for each situation. With smart power, diplomacy will be the vanguard of our foreign policy. This is not a radical idea. The ancient Roman poet Terence declared that “in every endeavor, the seemly course for wise men is to try persuasion first.” The same truth binds wise women as well.

Excessive humility has never been one of Hil’s problems.

Of course, Smart Power led to Arab Spring, which replaced Moderate Muslim Dictators, with Radical Muslim Dictators, backed by the Muslim Brotherhood. Great plan, y’all.

4.  Afghanistan – When Obama took office, he announced that Afghanistan was the true center of extremist activities.  He then told us that the Overseas Contingency Operation would be making a hard pivot from the main focus being on Iran to the main focus being on Afghanistan.  From there, he decided that the mountainous country of Pakistan (pronounced by the president, Pock-ee-stahn) was where all the truly evil Extremists were hiding.  He had two problems with this strategy:  the mountainous geography and unfriendly government of  Pock-ee-stahn.  Obama was advised by his military advisors that the best strategy was to use unmanned drones to attack Taliban (pronounced Tawl-ee-bohn by Obama) strongholds.  While the drones have been very successful in killing members of the Tawl-ee-bohn, they have occasionally killed civilians as well.   That has not endeared us to that country’s government.

All of this week, I have been writing about the Bergdahl Deal, which freed Army Deserter Bowe Bergdahl, in exchange for five top Afghan Muslim Terrorists, which, in turn, as one of them told the foreign press, allows them “to kill more Americans”.

Former Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin, as she usually does, sums up this stupid deal and the resulting public backlash quite nicely, addressing President Obama directly, as only she can:

You freed terrorists who were captured for a reason. Our brave ones sacrificed blood and treasure to keep America safe by doing what you send them into war zones to do – to get the bad guys off the street. You just undid that. The icing on this devil’s food cake is that you did it for an anti-American deserter whose actions have created even more harm for his comrades and former countrymen.

This deserter chose to put our soldiers in greater danger by abandoning his post and purposefully hooking up with the enemy after writing of his disdain for the USA. He told others he was ashamed to be an American. His own father proudly shared these comments with media back in 2012. He also proclaimed while in uniform, “The horror that is America is disgusting.” And he’s the one you honor at the White House? Why not give the Rose Garden podium over to the families of the men who died during the rescue efforts mounted to find this ungrateful, disloyal, and dangerous one. In sympathy, you risked innocent lives to bring him back inside the security of the country he chose to leave! So, have you asked yourself what exactly were we “rescuing” him FROM? According to some reports, he actually renounced his citizenship, in addition to publishing his contempt for our nation, before cowardly trading himself from Team America to Team Taliban. In doing so out in the field, he may have aided our enemies of the Islamic Terrorist persuasion.

You obviously play way too much golf. At the cost of America’s faithful soldiers who’ll never get a second chance, on your scorecard a deserter gets the mulligan?

You underestimated the wisdom of the people, Commander-in-Chief, for we are horrified and disgusted by your secret negotiations with radicals to free five Islamic terrorists in exchange for an anti-American deserter whose actions got others killed. Even more disgusting is your celebration of the cowardly act that initiated this disaster.

Unfortunately for our safety as nation, Obama’s Fantasyland view of the world, which is not unlike the old Coca Cola Advertisement where everyone had a Coke and a smile, set him up to be a disastrous failure at Foreign Policy.

A failure, which finds our enemies in Iran still working on a nuclear bomb and Russian Leader Vladimir Putin beginning the process of annexing surrounding countries and rebuilding the old Soviet Union, which was dissolved, thanks to the efforts of a real leader and American President, Ronald Reagan.

The popular defense, currently being thrown against the wall to see if it sticks by Liberals on behalf of their fallen messiah’s failed Foreign Policy, is to attack those who are critical of it, by claiming that we are all of bunch of “Christianist Raaaciiist Hate Mongers”.

In fact, the opposite is true.

We are Americans. We love our country. We cherish our freedom….and we praise and worship Our Creator, who gave it to us.

As we see our own freedom slipping away through the actions of a failed president and his willing minions, we are sympathetic to those Christians being killed for their faith by the followers of Mohammed in the Middle East and North Africa. Additionally, we pray for Ukraine and the other former Soviet Bloc nations, who are presently under the threat of having their freedom taken from them.

We are critical of this president and his failed Foreign Policy because it is costing these nations their freedom, just as his failed, dangerous Policy is in the process of costing us our own.

Our Armchair President

Obama ArmchairWhen I was young, between elementary and junior high school-age, I was home from school sick a lot, due to being a severe asthmatic.

The television and radio were my connections to the world around me. Of course, back then, we had 4 TV channels, counting PBS, and all of our radio stations were on the AM frequency.

My illness isolated me from the potential perils of the outside world.

What is the President’s excuse?

Our current president of these United States, Barack Hussein Obama (mm mmm mmmm), rode into office on his second term, making a lot of bogus promises, which low information voters lapped up like a dog at a rain puddle.

Unfortunately for ol’ Scooter, since he was sworn in for this, his “Lame Duck” Term in office, things has not exactly gone his way.

Obama has been hit with bad news concerning scandal after scandal, from the targeting of Conservative Groups, to a Hearing designed to get to the bottom of what happened at the Benghazi Embassy Compound,  being overseen by Congressional Conservative Firebrand Trey Gowdy, to the horrible mistreatment of our Brightest and Best at Veterans Administration Hospitals, a harbinger of the Obamacare “Death Panels” to come.

The President’s poor decisions, aloof manner, and waffling indecisiveness, while the White House Roof caves in on him, has not escaped the notice of  Beltway Politicians and Pundits…from both sides of the Political Aisle.

As Thomas Lifson writes in an article for americanthinker.com,

Wow, it’s finally happening. Democrats are catching on and turning on President Obama, at the moment off-the-record, but that won’t last for long if another midterm “shellacking” takes place in early November. Daniel Halper reports in The Weekly Standard.

CNN’s John King reports that Democrats are privately calling President Obama “detached,” “flat footed,” and “incompetent.”

If King is hearing about it, then it isn’t completely private. Maybe “off the record” and “not for attribution,” but not private when a journalist gets wind of it.

“Forget for a moment that Republican outrage,” said King on his CNN show this morning. “More and more Democrats in key 2014 races are calling for the president to get a spine, they say, and fire his Veterans Affairs secretary. And what more and more Democrats are saying privately is scathing, calling the president and his team detached, flat footed, even incompetent.

“Maggie Haberman,” said King turning to a panelist, “that’s what strikes me, what democrats are saying privately in the wakes of the healthcare.gov problems, they see a president who doesn’t want to take command, doesn’t want to act fast. Raising the competence question. Some Democrats, who believe in government, [are saying] this White House doesn’t appear to have its hand on the lever.”

…This is going to get very tricky for Democrats, since their black voter base, which accounts for roughly a quarter of their national vote, remains loyal to Obama. They may well see Democrats as stabbing the First Black President in the back if they criticize him too loudly. But with Obama dragging down the party with the rest of the electorate, failure to distance themselves also has a great cost.

Appearing on Greta Van Susteren’s Fox News Program, “On The Record”, the Godfather of Conservative Talk Radio, Rush Limbaugh, answered the reason why the Obama Administration is so scandal-ridden:

The bottom line is you can ask ‘why’ all day. If you have the courage to come up with the truth when you ask ‘why,’ the answer is they’re not qualified. They’re not qualified to run ObamaCare, they’re not qualified to run energy, they’re not qualified to run the economy, they don’t have anybody who knows what they’re doing in anything, Greta. Everything here is smoke and mirrors.”

Rush is, per usual, right.

Just look at the Obama White House’s latest blunder: the outing of a career covert CIA Officer, the top intelligent Official in Afghanistan, whose name was included on a publicly distributed list of dignitaries, who were invited to Obama’s Photo Op at Bagram Air Force Base in Afghanistan on Memorial Day.

According to CNN.com,

A clerical misstep? Failure to double-check a routine process? Whatever the cause, the seemingly accidental outing of the CIA’s top intelligence official in Afghanistan could put the life of the spy and any family members in danger.

It also raised the question of whether the official can continue working in Afghanistan after the revelation in a White House media report sent to about 6,000 journalists.

“I think they are going to have to pull him out, now that he’s been identified publicly,” said CNN National Security Analyst Robert Baer, noting the Taliban would likely attempt to assassinate the official. “It will affect his career over the long term, too.”

Josh Rogin, who covers national security issues for The Daily Beast, told CNN on Tuesday the mistake was “catastrophic” for the official’s career and “potential future as a covert operator, both in Afghanistan or anywhere else.”

The official “was in the middle of a very dangerous mission, which was to govern the transition of CIA forces in Afghanistan,” Rogin noted.

If forced to leave now due to danger over being exposed, the official’s absence could hurt the mission, according to Rogin.

Given President Pantywaist’s horrible record as Chief Executive and Commander-in-Chief, I would say that it is a very good thing for Obama to be receiving everything he knows about important national and international events, while sitting in his armchair, up on the second floor of the White House, far away from the Oval Office, watching the TV.

It is a whole lot safer for our country this way.

The Obama Legacy: The Wussification of America

wussificationSunday afternoon, I found myself at home in my recliner, after attending church that morning and having lunch with friends afterward, channel surfing like the All-American Male that I am. My remote stopped on American Movie Classics, where I found myself watching the last 30 minutes of one of my all-time favorite movies, “Rio Bravo”, starring The Duke (John Wayne), Dean Martin, Walter Brennan, Ricky Nelson, Ward Bond, and Claude Akins.

As I was watching this classic movie, a tale of American Grit, Dedication, and Courage, it struck me how American Popular Culture  is in the process of turning American Men into a bunch of wusses, a process which has accelerated rapidly under the leadership of President Barack Hussein Obama and his Liberal Minions.

And, it is starting from the moment America’s Youth walk through the school door.

In schools across the nation, teachers and administrators are practicing what they call “Positive Reinforcement”. Instead of punishing children when they misbehave in class, they sit them down and talk to them, explaining why they were wrong and building up their self-esteem. Then, they pet them on their little heads and send them back to class with a lollipop.

So, America’s Children are now growing up thinking there is no Consequence for bad behavior, because School Administrators lack the spine to respond to bad behavior in an appropriate manner. We have seen the result of all this for a while now, as a national bullying program was set up by the Obama administration, because children no longer know how to stand up for themselves, as young parents are buying into this positive reinforcement garbage at home also, while at the same time not teaching their children how to stand up for themselves.

Back in the day, we knew how to behave at school and out in public as well, because of a knowledge that there were indeed consequences for bad behavior. Those consequences included, but were not limited to a flyswatter, a wooden spoon, a yardstick, or an assistant principal’s paddle, that usually had holes cut in it, in order to increase the velocity of his swings.

As American kids were being raised in a permissive atmosphere, where they were taught to be wimps, literally being taught that self-serving behavior, such as being bad or being a wuss, was okay, they eventually grew into immature adults trying to push their lack of morality and responsibility onto the rest of American society.

The evidence for this theory that I am presenting is all around us.

For example, the big news during the last couple of days was that the recent NFL Draft included its first openly gay football player, Michael Sam.

Sam wound up being drafted alright. Unfortunately for him, he was drafted next to last by the St Louis Rams.

The reason being that even his homosexuality couldn’t overcome the fact that he doesn’t have a whole lot of talent.

Of course, don’t tell him that. This publicity clown came out the next day to tell the world that he should have been picked long before that. Humility and Grace personified, huh?

And the same people who have been wanting so desperately for a homosexual to be a part of the NFL Draft, ostracized a good Christian man, with considerably more football talent and potential than Michael Sam, named Tim Tebow.

It absolutely makes no cotton-pickin’ sense.

But, let’s not stop there.

Think about the stupid hashtag campaign, attempting to convince Boko Haram to return all those Nigerian girls they kidnapped.

We’ve been treated by the image of a frowning Michelle Obama and several Liberal Hollywood Stars holding up poster boards featuring the hashtag #BringBackOurGirls, as if somehow, this futile gesture would convince this Muslim Barbarians to let go of all these girls whom they are selling as slaves, and forcing under threat of death, to convert to Islam from Christianity.

It is no wonder that after Obama was first elected, the British tabloids nicknamed him “President Pantywaist”, after watching the wussy way he bowed to world leaders…something American Presidents have never done before.

And, of course, through the Obama Administration’s embrace of this emasculating philosophy, this philosophy has extended into our military, with Obama’s “Military Experts” being more concerned about performing Social Engineering Experiments on our troops, such as ending “Don’t Ask. Don’t Tell”, changing the hats they wear, and relaxing female hairstyles, than they are about protecting our country and defeating our enemies.

Somewhere in the bowels of the Kremlin, Putin is laughing his hindquarters off at us.

During the reign of the Obama Administration, a concentrated and deliberate effort has been made to change America from the land of Sgt. Alvin York to the land of RuPaul.

The reason that presidents like Ronald Reagan were so successful was that they were American men first and United States Presidents second. They were raised with Traditional American Values. They were raised by loving parents who disciplined them when they needed it, along the way, teaching them the difference between right and wrong, the love of God and Country, and the fact that the world did not revolve around them.

We can get back on the right track as a nation, however, it will take a man of Courage, Conviction,  and Traditional Christian American Faith & Values to lead our country back from the abyss we find ourselves in.

I pray that that man steps forward… while we still have a country.

The Nigerian Kidnappings: President Pantywaist to the Rescue!

obamaputinHave you heard the news? In Alabama, a renegade function of Southern Baptist broke into a local madrasa, kidnapping almost 300 Muslim girls.

According to their spokesperson, Jethro Bodine, some of the girls have already been forced to participate in a Youth Retreat, and may be forced later to learn how to bake casseroles.

Oh, wait. I got the details of the story wrong, didn’t I?

Actually, it happened in Nigeria, and it was not a group of Southern Baptists who kidnapped a bunch of Muslim girls. It was a Muslim Terrorist Faction who kidnapped nearly 300 Christian girls. Some of these girls have already been sold as slaves and some pushed into forced marriages.

USA Today reports that

World pressure on Nigeria is mounting over its slow reaction and failure to rescue hundreds of schoolgirls kidnapped by terrorists in a remote part of the country.

Tuesday, President Obama called the abductions “outrageous” and “heartbreaking” and said Nigeria has agreed to accept U.S. law enforcement and military assistance.

“We’ve already sent in a team to Nigeria. They’ve accepted our help through a combination of military, law enforcement and other agencies who are going in, trying to identify where in fact these girls might be and provide them help,” Obama told ABC News.

Distraught parents of the stolen children have charged that officials stalled on action to free them, and international condemnation has grown amid protests in major cities. Demands for action have increased on social media, especially through the Twitter hashtag #BringBackOurGirls.

More than 300 girls were abducted. Of that number, 276 remain in captivity and 53 escaped. Tuesday, an additional eight girls were abducted from a village near a terrorist stronghold in the area.

The schoolgirls have been held for three weeks by the Muslim terrorist organization Boko Haram, which has killed thousands of Christians and Muslims in an attempt to bring strict Islamic law to all of Nigeria. It declared plans to sell the girls or have them married to its members.

“We’ve always identified them as one of the worst local or regional terrorist organizations there is out there,” Obama told NBC News. “And I can only imagine what the parents are going through.”

U.S. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., called the kidnappings an “unthinkable tragedy” and “an offense to the conscience of the world.”

“The threat by Boko Haram’s leader to sell them in the marketplace reflects the utter absence of humanity,” Pelosi said.

Protesters have begged for international help, and some Nigerians blame their government.

“The government cannot sit back and watch how these little girls suffer. Their families are traumatized,” said Nigerian Sen. Ali Ndume, who represents the region. “The government needs to do something extra, even if seeking external support, to ensure these girls are rescued.”

So, United States President Barack Hussein Obama finally came out condemning the actions of the Islamic Barbarians and will be sending law enforcement  and “military consultants”, not “boots on the ground”, to assist with the problem.

Because, after all, jihad does not mean “Holy War” in Islam, it means kidnapping…or something.

#BringBackOurGirls will be more effective than Obama’s paltry efforts in this matter.

The absurd scenario that I began today’s blog with, was my attempt to ridicule Liberals’ false equivalency of the “Religion of Peace” and the worship of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, whose followers, of which I am an unapologetic and Blessed member, are daily marginalized and insulted under the leadership of our first anti-American President, even though 77% of Americans proclaim Christ as their Personal Savior..

Even as I sit here dictating this into my android phone, Christians are being murdered in Nigeria, Sudan, and throughout the Middle East, for no other reason than the fact that the Muslim Holy Book, the Koran, instructs the faithful to kill the infidels.

This lightweight response by the Leader of the Free World sums up Obama’s abysmal Smart Power! Foreign Policy to a tee:

“Confront Muslim Barbarism with a wussy response. Treat Muslim Terrorism as a “Law Enforcement Matter”, not a Jihad against the non-Muslim Free World.”

The Liberals’ moral equivalency between Christianity and Islam is a perilous tightrope to place American lives upon. 

While fighting an enemy who prizes strength and barbarism, we’re being lead by a Commander-in-Chief who wears a bicycle helmet and Mom’s jeans.

Obama would not save the lives of four brave Americans, including our Ambassador, on the grounds of our Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, on September 11, 2012. Why has he picked this time to get involved in the rescue of these kidnapped girls in Nigeria?
