SCOTUS Upholds Constitution, Gives Trump and Parents Big Wins

This has been a big week for the Supreme Court and for the future of our nation.

The Supreme Court ruled that South Carolina could cut off Planned Parenthood from the use of Medicaid funds. This saved human lives whether you choose to believe that or not.

Two more decisions made just yesterday by the Supreme Court were “Yuge” as President Trump likes to say.

The first decision plainly stated that all of the District Court Judges who attempted to pass national injunctions against President Trump and his deportation efforts against illegal aliens had overstepped their bounds and that their judiciary reach only extends to their district.

The ruling after that stated that American parents have the right to pull their children out of classes in schools that attempt to teach them out of books that instruct children as to the “normalcy” of the “LGBTQTRANSWHATEVER” lifestyles and sexual acts.

Of course, these rulings were decided by a margin of 6-3 with the Liberal Justices voting against them.

While this was to be expected in terms of who lined up for and against, it was also enlightening.

Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson wrote the Dissent extolling the virtues of an imperial judiciary in which a district court judge could affect the entire nation with unconstitutional injunctions thereby stifling the plans of the opposing party’s president and negating the votes of millions of Americans in favor of his fulfilling of his campaign promises.

Justice Amy Coney Barrett wrote the explanation for the ruling on behalf of the majority and, in a very judicial and nice way, slammed Justice Jackson as a constitutionally-ignorant DEI hire, which everybody knew was a fact to begin with.

Those 700 District Court Judges were used as instruments of the ongoing Political Lawfare that has been waged against Donald J Trump since his first presidency in which the Democrats tried to impeach him twice while President and once after he left.

From there, the Democrat Elite tried to use Soros-funded Federal District Attorneys to bring charges involving phony crimes and lawsuits against him to keep him from running for President and winnng a second term.

Now that the Supreme Court has put an end to their use of District Court Judges, what will be their next move?

Will the Democrats dig up Dr Anthony Fauci from the hole he has vanished into and have him get his buddies in China to come up with another pandemic?

Or, will the Democrats take their defense of the Iranians a step further and come up with a plan even darker than that?

I may be sounding semi-crazy.

However, at this point after witnessing what we’ve witnessed in the last couple of decades, and the fact that the modern Democratic Party seems to have no morality, ethics, or loyalty to America and the American citizens whom they are supposed to be serving and protecting, all bets are off.

However, for right now, let’s celebrate a great week and thank God and our Founding Fathers for the wisdom of making us a Constitutional Republic and not a mob-ruled democracy.

Parents Suing School District For Secretly “Transitioning” Their Daughter

“A Wyoming father and mother are reportedly suing their school district for allegedly helping their daughter socially transition behind their backs.

Sean and Ashley Willey are suing the Sweetwater County School District No. 1 board and some administrators for allegedly helping to gender-transition their daughter while actively hiding it from them. “A Rock Springs couple said their school district helped their daughter socially transition to a boy behind their backs and has coerced teachers into secretly affirming transgender students. The couple is suing the district and its top administrators,” the Cowboy State Daily reported.

The debate over the ethics of allowing children to change their gender from male to female or vise-versa remains one of America’s most politically divisive topics. This debate is especially salient when it comes to education and its influence over children while their parents are at work.

“The Willeys as parents assert three civil challenges against the district and administrators: that the defendants took away the Willeys’ parental and due process rights, familial privacy rights, and religious rights,” Cowboy State Daily wrote. “Ashley Willey alleges two more civil counts against the district and administrators as a teacher under their policies: that they took away her right to the free exercise of religion and right to free speech.”

The same outlet also reported that the couple are asking the federal court to block this district’s policies that aid children transitioning in secret without their parents’ knowledge.

One notable complication is that the school reportedly accommodates Sean and Ashley Willey’s daughter’s mental health issues already.

“The girl has a history of trauma and has been diagnosed with attention-deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD) and post-traumatic stress disorder. She also has a 504 plan, or educational plan to accommodate her conditions, which requires the school to involve her parents in her mental health treatment,” Cowboy State Daily reported. “The Willeys have taken the girl to see a counselor for years, the complaint states.” (Courtesy FoxNews.com)

Let me get this straight: the school, the district, and some administrators assisted a young girl with mental issues to “transition” to a boy while hiding what they doing to the child from her parents.

There is absolutely no excuse for this.

They had absolutely NO RIGHT to do this without the parents’ knowing about it.

THIS WAS NOT “CARING”.

THIS WAS SEXUAL GROOMING.

THIS WAS EVIL.

Is all this upheaval our nation is currently facing, caused by the Democrats, their Propaganda Arm, the MSM, and their young minions, due to some sort of Satanic Influence attempting to tip the scales in the fight between Good and Evil, across our land?

John Adams, the second President of these United States, delivered the following message to the Officers of the First Brigade of the Third Division of the Militia of Massachusetts on October 11, 1798:

The reason that our nation is facing the difficulties we are is the belief by those who proclaim themselves to be the “smartest people in the room”, that they are above the old-fashioned, passe notions of morality and ethics, good and evil, and the Sovereignty of God.

In the opinion of this Christian American living in the Heartland, they have made a grave mistake.

Evil exists and these fools opened the door to Satan in our society a long time ago.

When it all comes crashing down around them, what are they going to say?

The Uvalde Elementary School Massacre is Not a Gun Problem…It’s an EVIL Problem.

“We live in an entertainment culture soaked in graphic, often sadistic, violence. Older folks find themselves stunned by what a desensitized youth finds routine, often amusing. It’s not just movies. Young men sit for hours pulling video-game triggers, mowing down human beings en masse without pain or consequence. And we profess shock when a small cadre of unstable, deeply deranged, dangerously isolated young men go out and enact the overlearned narrative.” – Dr. Charles Krauthammer

“A mass shooting at a Texas elementary school killed 14 children and one teacher Tuesday and the suspected gunman was killed, Gov. Greg Abbott said.

Abbott identified the suspect as Salvador Romas, a Uvalde resident, who is also dead and acted alone, authorities said. He had a handgun and possibly a rifle when he opened fire at Robb Elementary School, he said. Two police officers were shot and wounded but were expected to survive, Abbott said. 

“Texans across the state are grieving for the victims of this senseless crime and for the community of Uvalde. Cecilia and I mourn this horrific loss and we urge all Texans to come together to show our unwavering support to all who are suffering,” he said in a statement.” (Courtesy FoxNews.com)

The demonic shooter murdered his own grandmother before going to the school and slaghtering innocent children.

As I write this, the number of innocent lives lost has been updated to 18 children and adults.

The gunman was killed at the school by responding officers.

There are no excuses which can suffice in regards to the actions of this young man who so heinously and efficiently took the lives of those innocent children whom he struck down in cold blood.

In the case of this psychopath and others who have slaughtered the innocent, there were markers along the way which should have told those who were involved in their lives, both parents and friends, that there was something just not right with them.

You can call it profiling or you can call it a spirit of discernment, as the Bible describes it. Those who were around these individuals should have noticed something.

In my opinion, there is one solution:

We need Evil Control. What I mean is that we need parents to actually act like parents and be involved in their children’s lives. We need teachers and friends who care enough about individuals to say something to both them and to their families when something is just not right.

As someone who watched his parents deal with the mental illness of a family member, I’m not saying that it will be easy. It is a hard thing to face up to and to confront. But, it has to be done.

Those who are constantly calling for gun control seek to punish the entire nation for the actions of some by taking away our 2nd Amendment rights.

If those same people would stop for a moment and consider that guns are inanimate objects which cannot fire themselves and then focus on the true cause of the increase in violence in our nation, then perhaps we could actually start making some headway and provide the care and treatment to the individuals who need it in time to avoid the horrific event of a mass murder, such as happened in Uvalde, Texas.

I am not saying that this will get rid of all of the mentally ill people in our country who wish to murder others, but it seems to me that back in the day when parents actually raised their children, along with the rest of the neighborhood who raised us, we did not see this preponderance of violent acts which we are seeing today.

Also, one last thing. Getting back to raising our children and grandchildren in the “Faith of Our Fathers”, wouldn’t be such a bad idea, either.

Manic Memphis Monday: “Flash Mobs” Brawl at Two Area Malls. Who is to Blame?

As a 58-year old resident of the Memphis Area, I have borne witness to the governmental mismanagement and resulting decay and degeneration of what was once of the friendliest places in the country to live.

There are still friendly people in Memphis, but, chances are, they work in Memphis and are living in the suburbs, like I do.

The mass exodus of Memphis taxpayers started during the reign of  “King” Willie Herenton, whom while Mayor from 1991 – 2008, told taxpayers of the Caucasian persuasion, if they did not like the way he was running the city, they could leave.

So, they did.

Since then, violent crime in Memphis has steadily risen, to the point where some suburban husbands will not allow their families to enter Memphis during the day or night.

The most recent Mayor, Jim Strickland, seems to be working hard to revitalize Memphis.

However, as this past Monday Night demonstrated, Memphis still has far to go to be considered to be the “City of Good Abode”, again.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Where were the parents?

It was a question Shelby County District Attorney Investigator Jimmy Chambers wanted to know after seeing an all out brawl recorded at Wolfchase Galleria and Oak Court Mall the day after Christmas.

“We as adults need to put our foot down and let these kids know — you all ain’t taking over nothing,” Chambers said.

Chambers told WREG the teen flash mob-style attacks are nothing new to Memphis.

They have occurred at gas stations, grocery stores, and other public places over the years.

Memphis police said the latest incident was promoted on social media with a picture of guns that read: “GANG SHOOTOUT TODAY AT WOLFCHASE MALL. BE READY TO BANG OR DIE.”

“This Facebook, this social media network stuff — it has taken our children. It’s like it’s taken our children to hell,” Chambers explained.

While there were no shots fired or serious injuries, Chambers said parents need to start asking their children questions.

“Where you going? Who you with? What’s his name? What’s her name? You got to do that now,” he said.

The long-time investigator and community mentor said adults cannot be soft with children — you have to know how to talk to them.

“You can’t be fake with these children. If you fake with them, they going to find you out sooner or later,” Chambers explained.

Ten people were arrested following the Memphis-area mall incidents — including eight children.

On Resurrection Sunday Afternoon, back in 2014, I was sitting beside my then-30-year old step son, watching “Avatar”, as my then-6 year old grandson came over and crawled up between us, putting his head on his Daddy’s chest. He was worn out from attending church with us that morning, followed by a lunch of ham, au gratin potatoes, and deviled eggs, which Grandma cooked, finished off by a dessert of all the chocolate that the Easter Bunny brought.

Of course, that darn rabbit had made a stop over here.

As I watched my grandson laying there, I thought about what a difference having a father makes in a boy’s life.

My father certainly made an everlasting difference in mine. He is the one who led me to Christ, counseling and supporting me, and loving me until he passed away after Christmas in 1997.

I think of him and thank God for him often.

I have had the privilege of being the step-father of 3 very different boys, now grown into young men. The first one works as an account executive with a major company. The second one is a seminary student who is planting a church in Midtown Memphis. And the last one, who I mentioned earlier, is an over-the-road truck driver, who is home every weekend.

I think often about all three of these young men often and pray that I have made a difference in their lives.

What got me thinking about the role that fathers play in the lives of young men, is all of the gang-related violence, black-on-black homicides, and “flash mobs” that are going on in our American Cities, like my Hometown of Memphis, Tennessee.

In today’s modern culture, the stigma of having a baby out of wedlock is quite frankly no longer a stigma. In some corners, especially the Liberal ones, It is actually considered a sign of Feminine Independence.

Among a lot of the young black male population, it is a sign of prestige to be a player, or, as we used to call it, a “ladies’ man”.

This practice has become so popular, that now 75 percent of America’s black population is being born out of wedlock and being raised without a father.

Grandfathers, uncles, clergy, and school coaches and principals try to fill in the gap and help these boys as they grow up, but a boy needs a man around every day of their life.

They need a consistent role model to teach them right from wrong, how to treat women, and how to be a man.

Regardless of what all of the Liberal experts say, a male father figure is essential in building a young man’s self- image.

So, what’s the answer?

A song that Elton John came out with during his comeback in the 1980’s goes,

Mama don’t want you
Daddy don’t want you
Give it up baby, baby
Mama can’t buy you love

Municipal and Federal Governments can throw as much money at the problem of gang-related violence as they want to, but, until this Cycle of Irresponsibility, i.e., irresponsible parents creating irresponsible kids, somehow gets broken, through prayer, education, and community/church involvement, crime will continue to escalate in America’s Cities.

Because, if the parents do not want to love, care for, and raise their children in the way that they should go, the gangs and the other criminals in the ‘Hood sure will.

The Benghazi Hearings: American Families Still Wait For The Truth About Their Sons’ Sacrifice

benghaziwhitehouseIt’s been a little over three years since you lost your child. Yes, you know that they were an adult, but they were still your child…and you loved them very much.

Yes, it’s been a little over three years, but in some ways it seems like yesterday that you received that call. That call that no parent should have to hear. A call telling you that your child had been murdered…in the service of his country. Murdered by Radical Muslims, on the other side of the world.

When you asked those who are supposed to know, what happened to your child, they hemmed and hawed, saying that it had something to do with a video on the Internet, that you had never even heard of, much less seen.

Your beloved child, murdered because of some stupid video? That doesn’t even seen possible.

As time went on, you came under siege by reporters and government officials alike. The reporters wanted to interview you, so that their ratings would go up. The authorities, while not overtly threatening you, or anything like that, basically gave you the cold shoulder, keeping their little game of hide and seek with the facts of your child’s death going on, as if you were not entitled to a clear picture of what actually happened.

Don’t they understand what you’re still going through? You lost your child…your son. A son you nursed through all the ups and downs of growing up, who you proudly watched as he decided that he wanted to be of service to his country.

And still, nobody will tell you the truth of what happened to him.

After what seemed like an eternity, a congressman named Darrel Issa reached out to you. He told you that he was holding Congressional Hearings to get to the bottom of this whole disgraceful business. So, you make the trip to Washington, DC, and patiently wait your turn to testify before Issa and the Congressional Committee.

Finally, after all those months, there you were. You took the stand after they called your name. As you were about to tell your story, all the Democratic Representatives in the room, except for two, excused themselves from the meeting, imperiously above listening to a commoner, an American Parent, still grieving over the loss of their child, so savagely murdered, tell their story.

You watched them as they walked out…

…as your grief becomes unbearable…again.

Michael Ingmire watched as Hillary Clinton was grilled for 11 hours Thursday about the 2012 attack in Benghazi that left his nephew and three other Americans dead and saw not a future president, but a “serial liar.”

As a congressional panel pressed the former Secretary of State over the attack on the consulate facility in the Libyan city, Ingmire, uncle of Sean Smith, and relatives of former Navy SEALs Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty watched from their homes, hoping Clinton’s testimony would yield answers about why additional security was not granted and why she initially blamed the attack on a YouTube video instead of a coordinated act of terrorism.

“The thing that was shocking – one of the pinnacle moments – was the revelation she told her family there was a terrorist attack while she told America something else,” Smith’s uncle, Michael Ingmire, told FoxNews.com. “Mrs. Clinton is a serial liar.”

Smith, an information officer, and Woods, a former Navy SEAL, died along with Doherty and U.S. ambassador Chris Stevens when Islamic militants stormed the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi and set it ablaze before attacking a nearby CIA compound with machine guns and rockets.

Stevens, the first U.S. Ambassador killed in the line of duty since 1979, had repeatedly asked the State Department for increased security at the consulate prior to the attack but his requests were not granted. 

In the hours following the attacks, the Obama administration learned they were carefully planned assaults by Al Qaeda-related militants but Clinton and others would go on to tell a different tale: an anti-Muslim YouTube video caused spontaneous protests and angry mobs were to blame for the attacks.

“So if there’s no evidence for a video-inspired protest, then where did the false narrative start?” Ohio Republican Rep. Jim Jordan asked Clinton during the hearing Thursday.

“It started with you, Madam Secretary,” he said. “You could live with a protest about a video, that won’t hurt you, but a terror attack would.”

Clinton rejected Jordan’s claim, describing the situation in the hours after the attack as “fluid” and the details unclear.

“I am sorry that it doesn’t fit your narrative congressman, I can only tell you what the facts are,” Clinton said.

During the marathon hours of questioning — which Democrats claim was a partisan attack on the Democratic presidential frontrunner — Clinton said Stevens understood the risks involved and that his requests for additional security never crossed her desk.

“Those requests for security were rightly reviewed by the security professionals,” Clinton told the committee. “I did not see them. I did not approve them. I did not deny them.”

Clinton also described Stevens as a friend, saying the 52-year-old ambassador “understood that most people in Libya or anywhere reject the extremists’ argument that violence can ever be a path to dignity or justice.”

“I knew and admired Chris Stevens,” she said in her opening remarks Thursday. “He was one of our nation’s most accomplished diplomats. Chris’ mother liked to say he had ‘sand in his shoes,’ because he was always moving, always working, especially in the Middle East that he came to know so well.”

But Clinton’s closeness to Stevens was called into question by Rep Susan Brooks, R-Ill., who asked: “Did you ever personally speak to him after you swore him in in May? Yes or no please.”

“Yes, I believe I did,” Clinton replied. “I don’t recall.”

Ingmire described Clinton’s choice of words about Stevens as jarring. 

“How could she say ‘Chris thought this’ and ‘Chris felt that’ when she basically had nothing to do with him?” Ingmire said. 

Tyrone Woods’ father, Charles, recalled meeting Clinton when his son’s body arrived at Andrews Air Force Base two days after the attacks. 

“I gave Hillary a hug and shook her hand and she said, ‘We are going to have the filmmaker arrested who was responsible for the death of your son,” Woods said, reading the account from his journal. 

“That was a complete bald-faced lie,” he told FoxNews.com Friday. “The day after the attack, she was talking to the Prime Minister of Egypt and she said the attack in Libya had nothing to do with the video.” 

Smith’s mother, Patricia, gave a similar account, saying she was told by the administration “it was a video when they knew it was not a video.”

“They told me lies,” she said Friday. “My son told me the night before that he has been asking for security and he hasn’t heard anything.” 

Over three years later, the truth as to why the Obama Administration sacrificed the lives of those four Brave Americans, for the sake of political expediency, on that horrible night in Benghazi, is still not known. Americans have their suspicions. Suspicions that were not allayed any by the Cackling hen appearing before, thanks to her fellow Democrats, what turned into a Dog and Pony Showb, last Thursday on Capitol Hill.

Remember the oft-quoted speech by President Obama at the UN General Assembly, in which he proclaimed that

…The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam?

Since that night in Benghazi, the Radical Muslim-fueled violence know as “Arab Spring” has proceeded “right on schedule”, with SRussia and America now on the brink of a war, with Syrian’s Muslim President Assad now in its cross-hairs. 

President Obama has made speeches in support of and sent advanced weaponry to the “Syrian Rebels”, whose majority are card-carrying members of the Muslim Terrorist Group, al Qaeda, perpetrators of the largest Terrorist Attack ever on American Soil, on 9/11/01, and the attack on the Benghazi Compound.

Fortunately, Americans refused to support Obama’s mission to aid these Terrorists.

Our memories of those two faithful days, 11 years apart, and average Americans’ wish for justice for those 3,000 and 4 Americans, savagely murdered by the “followers of the prophet”, take precedence over any trumped-up concern over any slander of his name.

…and, Hillary Clinton’s Political Future.

There are American Families who deserve the truth.

Whitney, Bobbie, and the Cost of “Generational Sin”

Whitney and KristinaRight now, a young woman lies in a coma in a hospital, in a medically induced coma, brought about by addiction.

How did this happen?

Have you ever heard of “Generational Sin”?

Deuteronomy 5:9b-10 states, “I do not leave unpunished the sins of those who hate me, but I punish the children for the sins of their parents to the third and fourth generations. But I lavish love on those who love me and obey my commands, even for a thousand generations.” (NLT)

How it works. When a person has sinned, that sin stands in need of being confessed. If the person doesn’t confess it, then his children must confess it in order to break the generational pattern. Like an “outstanding” debt, the person’s sin “hangs out there,” impacting his descendants, until it is addressed through confession and cleared away. We are not required to take responsibility for our ancestors’ sins, but we are to acknowledge and confess their sin. (We agree with God that they were wrong and that God was right.) God asks us to accept responsibility for our own sin and to repent and be humbled. Understand that the passing down of iniquity (sin) is just that – the passing down of iniquity (sin). My parents’ sin does not become my sin, until I have made the choice to sin myself in the same way.

And, even the children of the Rich and Famous are not exempt.

The daughter of late pop queen Whitney Houston was found unconscious in a bathtub at her Georgia home Saturday — nearly three years after her mom died tragically in a tub in a Los Angeles hotel.

Bobbi Kristina Brown was clinging to life after apparently suffering a drug overdose, just as her mother had, “Entertainment Tonight’’ reported, quoting a source who insisted it was not a suicide attempt.

Whitney Houston accidentally drowned in a bathtub inside the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Feb. 11, 2012, with cocaine, Xanax, marijuana and muscle relaxant in her system.

A second source told the magazine it was “no coincidence’’ that the 21-year-old aspiring singer was found in eerily similar circumstances.

Brown’s husband, Nick Gordon, and a friend found her underwater in her home in the Atlanta suburb of Roswell, Ga., and administered CPR until help arrived.

Paramedics took her to a local hospital, where she was in a medically induced coma and breathing with the assistance of a ventilator, police sources said.

Brown’s father, R&B singer Bobby Brown, was at her bedside Saturday.

Brown had recently hinted at wanting to pursue her own music career.

“Promise to release some thangs for your enjoyment. . . One thing you CAN depend on is my mother taught me well,” she tweeted.

On Thursday, she added: “Let’s start this career up&&moving OUT to TO YOU ALLLL quick shall we!?!???!!!!!!!!” along with several music emojis.

She also appeared on the Lifetime reality show “The Houstons: On Our Own” in 2012. She inherited millions of dollars from Houston.

But Brown was battling demons of her own.

On her 18th birthday — as well as after Houston’s funeral — she was accused of doing cocaine, the Daily Mail has reported.

Months after Houston’s death, she got engaged to Gordon, whom Houston raised with Brown as an adopted brother.

More Likely to Become Addicts Themselves

And the likelihood that they will use drugs or alcohol early, and – for both genetic and environmental reasons – become addicted to these substances, is higher than those who do not grow up in these environments. In fact, this population is at the highest risk to become drug and alcohol abusers, according to the National Association for Children of Alcoholics.

Foster Care, the Juvenile Justice System, and Therapy
Children of addicted parents are also more likely to end up in foster care, the juvenile justice system, and – once they reach adulthood – therapy for mental health disorders, marital problems, and trouble parenting their own children.

Addicted parents often lack the ability to provide structure or discipline within their families, according to the National Association for Children of Alcoholics. They also tend to be less patient and to expect more from their children than do non-substance-abusing parents.

Child Abuse
The majority of child welfare professionals report that substance abuse is a factor in at least half of all child abuse cases. More than one-third of these workers say it contributes to at least 75 percent of the cases.

In today’s culture, more and more young people, usually raised in non-Christian Homes, and identifying themselves as “libertarians”, espouse the view, as frequently seen in their posts on Facebook, that drugs should be legalized., and the use of them has no effect on anybody but the user themselves.

And, they are very, very wrong.

Whether you are a Christian or not, one fact is certain, as study after study shows, parents are role models for their children, right or wrong.

If they see you drinking around them, they are more likely to take up drinking.

If they see you using drugs, including smoking pot, they will be more likely to model that behavior, as they get older.

I have always observed that alcoholics and addicts are very selfish people, consumed by a very selfish behavior.

This selfish behavior consumes them to the point where it becomes the priority in their life, requiring more attention that anything else in it, including their children.

In the case of Bobbi, now on Life Support, her self-involved parents, Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, failed her.

Their sin became “Generational”, when she adopted their lifestyle of drug and alcohol abuse.

God’s Word admonishes us, as parents, to

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.- Proverbs 22:6 (KJV)

If her parents had changed their lifestyle and publicly repented of their drug and alcohol abuse, perhaps Bobbi would not be lying in that Hospital Bed, floating between here and the Afterlife.

And, perhaps her mother would be standing with her father, guiding her in “the way in which she should go”.

Actions have consequences…to more than just the individual acting irresponsibly.

From Child Stars to Train Wrecks…What Happened? (A KJ Rant…Err…Analysis)

Miley and JustinWhat is it with child stars nowadays?

Every time you turn on the news, one of the little critters is losing their mind and doing something stupid. Whether it is Miley Cyrus riding “nekkid” on a wrecking ball, Britney Spears shaving her head, or Lindsey Lohan…errr…umm…being Lindsey Lohan, each and every one of them nowadays seems to grow out of their common sense.

Take Justin Bieber… Please.

Alright, I know that was cheap shot, but he’s got it coming. Just yesterday, the moron was arrested racing down a neighborhood street, which his buddies had blocked off with their cars.

While this clown was being arrested, he launched into a stoned-out-of-his-mind verbal tirade against the police officers, that made “The Wolf of Wall Street” seem like “The Sound of Music”.

So, what is the reason that all these former child stars are losing their minds in such a fashion, as they get older? Is it the “Bird in a Gilded Cage Finally Free” Syndrome? Is it hormones? Are their chakras out of alignment? Have they all joined up with Barack Obama on the Choom Gang?

I truly believe that the rising occurrence of child stars losing their minds as they grow older, coincides with the breakup of the Family Unit and the moving away from Christianity in this nation.

The difference between the child stars of today and the child stars of the 1960’s is very evident. Yes, there were a number of those 1960s stars who lost their way, as they got older, but, it was nowhere near as commonplace as it is now.

What part does the child star’s parents play in their flame-out?

We have all heard the expression “stage mother”, or in the case of Billy Ray Cyrus, “stage father”. These are parents who want to manage their offspring’s career, much to the chagrin of Hollywood professionals. Often, the professional aspirations of the parents exceed those of their child and they push their little darling into show business, whether the child wants to be there or not. In these instances, where the child star is actually living out their parent’s dream, it comes as no surprise that they lose their mind when they reach the age of consent.

Then, you have those parents who want to be their child star’s best friend, just like in the real world. I know you have seen them. These are the parents whose child runs over them and they cannot figure out why they do not mind. The difference between a normal parent and child relationship and the relationship between a child star and their parents is the number of people who see the child when they misbehave. When a normal person’s child misbehaves, their actions are only seen by and influence a limited number of people. When a child star misbehaves, the whole world knows about it.

And, by the time they reach the age of Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber, those permissive parents have no control over their offspring, whatsoever.

Billy Ray often has referred to the style of parenting which he used with Miley as laissez faire parenting.

I call it lazy.

Billy Ray’s, and his estranged wife’s lack of parental guidance has produced a degenerate young woman, joining the infamous ranks of  Britney Spears and Lindsey Lohan.

Think about this: a young fresh-faced, pre-teen girl, who was once marketed as the role model for young teens, with her likeness on clothes, lunch boxes, notebooks, and backpacks, in the center aisle of Walmarts around the world, transformed into a then-20 year 0ld, with her rear up in the air, on all fours, like she was a canine in heat, on the MTV Video Music Awards, seen around the world.

The 24-Hour News Cycle does not help matters one bit. These young stars are under the spotlight from dawn to dusk…. and are then chased around town by the paparazzi, late into the night.

Add unscrupulous “handlers” to the mix, and you have the definition of a Walking Disaster, waiting to happen.

Without  the support of a strong family unit and a belief in Christ, the only place for these young people to learn values and morals are from all of their “Bad Idea” Friends out there in Hollywood. And, unfortunately, as we are seeing in the cases of Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber, along with their common sense, their fresh-faced innocence goes straight out the window.

Like the unfortunate Britney Spears, they become  has-beens before their time. That is, if they don’t die from an overdose first, like Heath Ledger and River Phoenix did.

There seems to be a lot of Americans out there who enjoy watching these once seemingly-innocent child stars become degenerate train wrecks.

I don’t. I see the washed-out shell that they have become and wonder what might have been.

I remember watching black comedian, D.L. Hughley, perform. When someone in the audience would get too rowdy, he would tell them that they need Jesus. Of course, he meant that as a joke.

However, in the case of these rapidly falling stars, it is a fact.

America 2013: How Did We Get Here…and How Do We Get Back?

conservative1In my post on Thursday, I promised to devote some time this week to explore America’s cultural and societal decline.

Well…there’s no time like the present.

As I mentioned in my 1000th Blog a couple of months ago, I have been told that I am out of touch with America’s present societal and cultural norms…that I am an anachronism…a throwback to an earlier era.

That got me to thinking: How did we get to where we are?

I started First Grade in 1963. Also in 1963, a very important case was brought before the Supreme Court by a bitter, old atheist named Madalyn Murray O’Hair:

School prayer was the focus of Madalyn Murray O’Hair, a militant left wing atheist with close ties to the American Communist Party, when she filed a lawsuit against the school board of Baltimore. The local court judge, J. Gilbert Pendergast, dismissed the petition stating, “It is abundantly clear that petitioners’ real objective is to drive every concept of religion out of the public school system.” The case went to the Maryland Court of Appeals, and the court ruled, “Neither the First nor the Fourteenth Amendment was intended to stifle all rapport between religion and government.”

The “School Prayer” case then made its way to the U.S. Supreme Court. Leonard Kerpelman addressed the court saying prayer in the public schools had been tolerated for so long that it had become traditional and that anything that is unconstitutional does not become constitutional through tradition. He went on to say the Constitution had erected a “wall of separation” between church and state, at which point Justice Potter Steward interrupted, asking where this wording appears. Kerpelman was stumped and an embarrassing silence followed. When he regained his composure, he stated that the text was not explicit on the point but that it had been interpreted to mean so.

Remarkably, the National Council of Churches and several Jewish organizations favored Madalyn O’Hair’s case! Not a single Christian organization filed a brief in support of school prayer. The Supreme Court ruled 8 to 1 in favor of abolishing school prayer and Bible reading in the public schools. Justice Tom Clark wrote, “Religious freedom, it has long been recognized that government must be neutral and, while protecting all, must prefer none and disparage none.” The federal government considers atheism to be a religion, and this Supreme Court ruling favored atheism, at the expense of the Christian majority.

Down here in Dixie, we still pray at school functions…and that fact drives that idiotic bunch of atheists up in the Great White North, the Freedom From Religion Foundation, absolutely nuts. So much so, that they have made it their mission in life, to sue every school that dares have any sort of prayer at any event, on campus or off.

The FFRF has achieved a modicum of success in our court system. However, at least in the South, school organizations such as the Fellowship of Christian Students and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes are still flourishing.

On a side note, I am proud to have helped raise a step-son, who was the head of both of these organizations at his high school, and is now in seminary.

I remember back in elementary school, every morning we began school by singing “Oh, What a Beautiful Morning” and then, reciting The Pledge of Allegiance. Even remembering that ritual today, I find comfort in it.

In the South, at least in the Mississippi County in which I live, the school day still begins with the recitation of the Pledge, which is led by a group of students, standing around a microphone in the Principal’s Office.

Unfortunately, that is no longer the case in many schools around our blessed land.

Nowadays, good old-fashioned American Patriotism is not considered Politically Correct.

So, what is the cause of this 180 degree turn from where we were, as a mostly cohesive society, based on love of God and Country, which I remember so fondly from my childhood, to where we are now as a country comprised, to a certain extent,  of individuals, who believe in relative morality, situational ethics, and a malleable Constitution.

Learned individuals have been trying to discern exactly what has caused this Societal and Cultural Decline, and in the process, they have blamed it on everything from poor schools to poverty to malnutrition.

Being a simple man, (Hey, that would make a great title for a rock song. Oh, wait. It was. Never mind.) I believe that because Americans have wanted, for at least 3 generations now, to give their children everything materialistically possible, they have to a great extent, ignored their children’s spirituality.

God’s Word tells us that we, as parents, should

Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it. – Proverbs 22:6 (ESV)

The dissolution of the American family and the pressure on parents to provide for their children, has certainlty contributed to Americans’ priorities getting waaay out-of-whack.

Instead of training our children in the way they should go, we have, as a society, allowed the television, video games, government-run schools, and our children’s peers to be their surrogate parents.

The selfish hedonism we are witnessing in our country is a direct result of parents abandoning their roles, as the spiritual and ethical teachers of morality to their children.

So, now the Obama Administration is stepping in to fulfill the Parental Role.

An action, which will, most certainly, make a bad situation worse.

After all, as President Ronald Reagan used to say,

The scariest nine words in the English Language are, “I’m from the Government and I’m here to help.”

Americans need to rediscover our Christian Heritage of Love of God and Country, before it is too late.
