Obamacare: NBC Cried, “Obama Lied!!!”

obamadoctorWhen Barack Hussein Obama (mm mmm mmm) assumed the office of President of the United States, he promised to have the most transparent Administration evah.

To say that ol’ Scooter has fallen just a wee bit short of that promise, is like saying that the Titanic hit an ice-cube.

On Saturday, August 8, 2009, during his Weekly Address, “The Smartest Guy in the Room” said,

As we draw close to finalizing – and passing – real health insurance reform, the defenders of the status quo and political point-scorers in Washington are growing fiercer in their opposition. In recent days and weeks, some have been using misleading information to defeat what they know is the best chance of reform we have ever had. That is why it is important, especially now, as Senators and Representatives head home and meet with their constituents, for you, the American people, to have all the facts.

So, let me explain what reform will mean for you. And let me start by dispelling the outlandish rumors that reform will promote euthanasia, cut Medicaid, or bring about a government takeover of health care. That’s simply not true. This isn’t about putting government in charge of your health insurance; it’s about putting you in charge of your health insurance. Under the reforms we seek, if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor. If you like your health care plan, you can keep your health care plan.

And while reform is obviously essential for the 46 million Americans who don’t have health insurance, it will also provide more stability and security to the hundreds of millions who do. Right now, we have a system that works well for the insurance industry, but that doesn’t always work well for you. What we need, and what we will have when we pass health insurance reform, are consumer protections to make sure that those who have insurance are treated fairly and that insurance companies are held accountable.

Remember what happened a month after that, on September 9, 2009, during President Barack Hussein Obama’s very first State of the Union Speech?

On September 10, 2009, CNN.com reported the following:

A Republican House member shouted, “You lie” during President Obama’s health care speech to Congress on Wednesday, and members of both parties condemned the heckling.

After the speech, South Carolina Rep. Joe Wilson issued a statement apologizing for his outburst.

“This evening, I let my emotions get the best of me when listening to the president’s remarks regarding the coverage of illegal immigrants in the health care bill,” the statement said. “While I disagree with the president’s statement, my comments were inappropriate and regrettable. I extend sincere apologies to the president for this lack of civility.”

Wilson also called the White House to apologize and spoke with Obama’s Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, who accepted the apology on the president’s behalf, according to a senior administration official.

“We can disagree without being disagreeable,” Emanuel said to Wilson, according to the official. “That was the point of the president’s speech.”

The outburst came when Obama denied that proposed health care legislation would provide free health coverage for illegal immigrants. Immediately, Wilson shouted, “You lie!”

The outburst caused Obama to stop and look toward the heckler. “That’s not true,” the president responded.

Hotair.com reported the following on August 28, 2009:

In what he called the “first myth” being spread by critics of his proposal for a government-run health care system, Obama said they are wrong in claiming illegal immigrants will be covered: “That is not true. Illegal immigrants would not be covered. That idea has not even been on the table.” Obama said.

Well, Mr. President, that idea must have been tucked under a stack of background briefing papers over there in the corner of the table because the Congressional Research Service (CRS) says this about H.R. 3200, the Obamacare bill approved just before the recess by the House Energy and Commerce Committee chaired by Rep. Henry Waxman, D-CA:

“Under H.R. 3200, a ‘Health Insurance Exchange’ would begin operation in 2013 and would offer private plans alongside a public option…H.R. 3200 does not contain any restrictions on noncitzens—whether legally or illegally present, or in the United States temporarily or permanently—participating in the Exchange.”

So you see, gentle reader, Joe Wilson was exactly right. Although he, like the rest of the nation, had no idea to what extent Obama did and would lie to all of us.

Last night NBC News reported that

President Obama repeatedly assured Americans that after the Affordable Care Act became law, people who liked their health insurance would be able to keep it. But millions of Americans are getting or are about to get cancellation letters for their health insurance under Obamacare, say experts, and the Obama administration has known that for at least three years.

Four sources deeply involved in the Affordable Care Act tell NBC NEWS that 50 to 75 percent of the 14 million consumers who buy their insurance individually can expect to receive a “cancellation” letter or the equivalent over the next year because their existing policies don’t meet the standards mandated by the new health care law. One expert predicts that number could reach as high as 80 percent. And all say that many of those forced to buy pricier new policies will experience “sticker shock.”

None of this should come as a shock to the Obama administration. The law states that policies in effect as of March 23, 2010 will be “grandfathered,” meaning consumers can keep those policies even though they don’t meet requirements of the new health care law. But the Department of Health and Human Services then wrote regulations that narrowed that provision, by saying that if any part of a policy was significantly changed since that date — the deductible, co-pay, or benefits, for example — the policy would not be grandfathered.

Buried in Obamacare regulations from July 2010 is an estimate that because of normal turnover in the individual insurance market, “40 to 67 percent” of customers will not be able to keep their policy. And because many policies will have been changed since the key date, “the percentage of individual market policies losing grandfather status in a given year exceeds the 40 to 67 percent range.”

That means the administration knew that more than 40 to 67 percent of those in the individual market would not be able to keep their plans, even if they liked them.

Yet President Obama, who had promised in 2009, “if you like your health plan, you will be able to keep your health plan,” was still saying in 2012, “If [you] already have health insurance, you will keep your health insurance.”

Indeed. 

How bad must evidence of the President’s duplicitous behavior, regarding his “Affordable Care Act” be, for the Vanguard of his Main Street Media Minions, NBC, to turn on him, in this manner? 

Joe and Mika, from Morning Joe, must have headed to the nearest bar, when they heard that NBC was going to go public with Obama’s treachery.

First CBS’ 60 Minutes’ report on Benghazi. Now this.

Could the sniveling weasels in the MSM have come to the realization that, if they keep trying to cover for this Administration, they will go down with Obama’s Sinking Ship of State?

Is the MSM simply in Survival Mode, or are they distancing themselves, in order to be a viable force for the Democratic Party, with the purpose of saving them from a Political Massacre in the 2014 and 2016 Elections?

Either way, the MSM is quickly distancing themselves from the indefensible disaster known as Obamacare, like it is last call at the local pub, and the last one there has to pick up the check.

Obama’s Website Speech: Would You Buy a Used Car From This Man?

Obama-Used-Car-salesmanYesterday Morning, the 44th President of the United States, Barack Hussein Obama, walked out into the Rose Garden, surrounded by Human Props, and made what was essentially a Campaign Speech, in a desperate attempt to save face, after the humiliation of the biggest failure to launch since the Rosie O’Donnell Variety Hour:

Over the past two and a half weeks, millions of Americans visited HealthCare.gov to look at their new health care options under the Affordable Care Act. In that time, nearly half a million applications for coverage have been submitted from across the nation. This tremendous interest – with over 19 million unique visits to date to HealthCare.gov– confirms that the American people are looking for quality, affordable health coverage, and want to find it online.

Unfortunately, the experience on HealthCare.gov has been frustrating for many Americans. Some have had trouble creating accounts and logging in to the site, while others have received confusing error messages, or had to wait for slow page loads or forms that failed to respond in a timely fashion. The initial consumer experience of HealthCare.gov has not lived up to the expectations of the American people. We are committed to doing better.

Aside from the difficulties since launching the site, there are parts of the overall system that have proved up to the task. The “Data Hub,” component, which provides HealthCare.gov with information that aids in determining eligibility for qualified health plans, is working. Individuals have been able to verify their eligibility for credits, enabling them to shop for and enroll in low or even no-cost health plans.

Since launch, when we first recognized these issues, we have been working around the clock to make improvements.We have updated the site several times with new code that includes bug fixes that have greatly improved the HealthCare.gov experience. The initial wave of interest stressed the account service, resulting in many consumers experiencing trouble signing up, while those that were able to sign up sometimes had problems logging in.

In response, we have made a number of improvements to the account service. Initially, we implemented a virtual “waiting room,” but many found this experience to be confusing. We continued to add more capacity in order to meet demand and execute software fixes to address the sign up and log in issues, stabilizing those parts of the service and allowing us to remove the virtual “waiting room.” Today, more and more individuals are successfully creating accounts, logging in, and moving on to apply for coverage and shop for plans. We’re proud of these quick improvements, but we know there’s still more work to be done. We will continue to conduct regular maintenance nearly every night to improve the experience.

To ensure that we make swift progress, and that the consumer experience continues to improve, our team has called in additional help to solve some of the more complex technical issues we are encountering.

According to USA Today…

An informed source in the telecommunications industry said Verizon’s Enterprise Solutions division has been asked by the Department of Health and Human Services to improve the performance of the HealthCare.gov site, which is a key component of the Affordable Care Act. The source spoke on condition of anonymity because the announcement had not been made official.

It makes sense for HHS to seek Verizon’s help, said Aneesh Chopra, the Obama administration’s former chief technology officer and now a senior fellow at the Center for American Progress. “There is an existing ‘best and brightest’ available to call in,” Chopra said. “Verizon is one of those already under contract.”

The odds that the problem will be fixed are “50-50,” said Clark Kelso, California’s chief information officer under governors Gray Davis and Arnold Schwarzenegger. “They’ve got a short window here to try to fix things,” Kelso said. “Simply throwing a lot of new programmers at something like this does not guarantee success.”

It makes even more sense, if you do a little research, like I did.

Per opensecrets.org, Verizon’s biggest Political Contribution in the 2012 election was to…you guessed it…the Re-election Campaign of Barack Hussein Obama (mm mmm mmmm). Verizon contributed $223,741.

Can you say “rewarding your friends”, boys and girls? Sure you can.

Back in 1980, a movie came out, which has since become a cult favorite. Its title was “Used Cars”. It starred Kurt Russell as a sleazy Used Car Salesman named Rudy Russo, who would do or say anything he had to, in order to make a sale.

Rudy’s favorite line, when making a sale,or devising a scheme, was

Trust me.

That movie, and the character of Rudy Russo, reminded me of Obama and his speech, yesterday,

Obama’s desperate. His Signature Legislation, the misnamed “Affordable Care Act”, passed in the dark of night by his Congressional Minions, is circling down the ol’ porcelain receptacle at an ever-accelerating rate.

In fact, it has already been declared a disaster by a lot of objective experts, including Consumer Reports…

On October 1, the day the Obamacare exchanges went online, the magazine told people to be patient: “Don’t worry if you can’t sign up today or even within the next couple of weeks.” A week into enrollment, they urged again to “wait a couple weeks and hope that the site irons out its many problems” because the HealthCare.gov is “barely operational.”

As the editors continued to review the website over the next few days, they only had one positive statement: “On the plus side,” they noted, “consumers coming to HealthCare.gov are no longer stopped cold by an error message or a screen saying they’ve been put in a waiting line.”

Now three weeks into the exchanges, having offered reviews and advice, Consumer Reports said that “if all [these suggestions] are too much to absorb, follow our previous advice: Stay away from Healthcare.gov,” at least for the time being.

Good Advice.  As I reported the other day, the designers of the website, CGI Federal, Obama Donors in their own right, were fired for poor performance by Canadian Health Officials, before being given the contract for Healthcare.gov by Obama.

Now, Obama is calling upon another major donor, Verizon, to fix the “tore up from the floor up” website.

Evidently, the corruption and cronyism which Obama surrounds himself with, just like the character Rudy Russo, from “Used Cars” are just the way ol’ Scooter rolls. Except, in the movie, Rudy actually turned out to have some redeeming qualities.

In 2007, Biden said that Obama was “story book”. He is: Pinocchio. But, instead of his nose growing when he lies, our National Debt does. And, his Political Patrons get richer.

Obamacare: The Failure of Healthcare.Gov Due to Old-Fashioned Political Shenanigans

obamadoctorRemember all the promises that President Obama made concerning his plan for a National Healthcare System?

It was going to be the great thing since sliced bread. Millions would have access to “affordable Healthcare”.

Well, to say that Scooter’s Signature Program’s Launch has not lived up to expectations is like saying The Titanic ran into an ice cube.

There are more problems with this fiasco than you can shake a stick at.

For example, let’s look at the first point-of-contact with the program for an American Insurance-seeker: the website, Healthcare.gov.

According to reuters.com…

A Reuters review of government documents shows that the contract to build the federal Healthcare.gov online insurance website – key to President Barack Obama’s signature healthcare reform – tripled in potential total value to nearly $292 million as new money was assigned to the work beginning in April this year.

The increase coincided with warnings from federal and state officials that the information technology underlying the online marketplaces, or exchanges, where people could buy Obamacare health insurance was in trouble.

In March, Henry Chao, deputy chief information officer at the lead Obamacare agency, said at an insurance-industry meeting that he was “pretty nervous” about the exchanges being ready by October 1, adding, “let’s just make sure it’s not a third-world experience.” At the same event, his colleague Gary Cohen said, “Everyone recognizes that day one will not be perfect.”

The contract to build Healthcare.gov, issued to the CGI Federal unit of Montreal-based CGI Group, has come under scrutiny after the site, offering new subsidized health insurance in 36 states, stalled within minutes of its October 1 launch, leaving millions of Americans unable to create accounts or shop for plans.

In its third week of operations, the website continues to experience problems, which government officials say they are working day and night to repair. Even allies of the Obama administration have been highly critical, with former White House press secretary Robert Gibbs calling it “excruciatingly embarrassing” and calling for “some people” to be fired.

How and why the system failed, and how long it will take to fix, remains unclear. But evidence of a last-minute surge in spending suggests the needs of the project were growing well beyond the initial expectations of the contractor and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

“Why this went from a ceiling of $93.7 million to $292 million is hard to fathom,” said Scott Amey, general counsel at the Project on Government Oversight, a Washington, D.C.-based watchdog group that analyzes government contracting.

“Something changed. It suggests they ran into problems and knew last spring that they couldn’t do it for $93.7 million. They just blew through the original ceiling. Where was the contract oversight?”

Just who is the CGI Group? What sort of reputation did they have, even before they built this massive failure of a website?

According to a website, out of Fairfax County, VA, fairfaxunderground.com

Canadian provincial health officials last year fired the parent company of CGI Federal, the prime contractor for the problem-plagued Obamacare health exchange websites, the Washington Examiner has learned.

CGI Federal’s parent company, Montreal-based CGI Group, was officially terminated in September 2012 by a Ontario government health agency after the firm missed three years of deadlines and failed to deliver the province’s flagship online medical registry.

The online registry was supposed to be up and running by June 2011.

The CMS officials refused to say if federal officials knew of its parent company’s IT failure in Canada when awarding the six contracts.

It wasn’t just those contracts. As mentioned earlier, Obama dumped huge amounts of money on CGI.

CGI Federal is a subsidiary of Montreal-based CGI Group. With offices in Fairfax, Va., the subsidiary has been a darling of the Obama administration, which since 2009 has bestowed it with $1.4 billion in federal contracts, according to USAspending.gov.

HHS is by far the single largest federal contractor of CGI, showering it with $645 million in contracts. The Defense Department pays the Canadian company $254 million, the EPA $58 million and the Justice Department $36 million.

In comparison, in 2008, under President George W. Bush, CGI contracts totaled only $16.5 million for all federal departments and agencies.

The interesting question is why Obama dumped 1.4 billion in taxpayer money on a company this incompetent and ignored all the warnings.

It’s one more thing that ought to be investigated.

I agree. Let’s investigate. With any corporation, all negotiations begin with the CEO.  CGI Group, Inc. is no different.

Allow me to introduce you to Mr. George Schindler…

Mr. George D. Schindler has been the President of United States and Canada at CGI Group Inc. since January 2013 and served as the President U.S. Operations since October 2011. As a member of CGI’s Management Committee, Mr. Schindler also participates in the development and execution of CGI’s global strategy. Mr. Schindler served as the President of Stanley, Inc. since August 2010. Mr. Schindler served as the President of CGI Federal Inc. from 2006 to October 1, 2011, where he led CGI’s business with the Civilian, Defense, and Intelligence Sectors of the U.S. government. Under his leadership, CGI Federal was named the 2010 Greater Washington U.S. Government Contractor of the Year (greater than $300 million) by the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce, PSC and Washington Technology. CGI was also named one of the “9 Hot Companies to Watch” by Federal Computer Week.

In August 2012, Schindler donated $1,000 to Obama’s Re-Election Campaign,according to opensecrets.org. However, by then, his company had already secured the contract to build the website.

That donation was made at the very same time that a bunch of business leaders, including Schindler, met with the president at the White House, to talk about “insourcing”, a pleasant little term which the Administration made up to describe their pleading with American Corporations not to move their assets out of the country to get away from all the taxes that the same Obama Administration was penalizing them with.

Informationweek.com reported at the time that…

“You’ve heard of outsourcing. Well, these companies are insourcing,” the president said. “That’s exactly the kind of commitment to country that we need–especially right now, when we’re in a make-or-break moment for the middle class and those aspiring to get to the middle class here in the United States.”

Obama added: “When a lot of folks are still looking for work, now is the time for us to step on the gas.” And while he gave a nod to what he said were the “the bottom line” benefits of sourcing domestically, Obama asserted “a moral case” for insourcing.

Great sound bites, especially in a political season where attention is focused on 99 percenters, Occupy protesters, and general class warfare. But here’s the reality: There’s no broad trend toward insourcing, but there is a recognition that the pressure to cut costs over the past decade led many companies to push the envelope on offshoring a bit too far, and that it’s time for some rebalancing.

…CGI Group is a midsize tech services company based in Quebec, with offices in more than 40 U.S. locations as well as centers in Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Mumbai, India. CGI employs roughly 10,000 workers in the U.S. and 20,000 elsewhere.

Of late, the company has been opening development centers in small U.S. towns such as Belton, Texas, Lebanon, Va., and Troy, Ala. CGI U.S. president George Schindler, who attended Obama’s insourcing summit, told me that such locales are becoming more cost competitive with India and offer a pool of untapped IT talent that can add some geographic balance to CGI’s workforce.

“These are areas that have been harder hit by the downturn than others, but they offer a set of dynamics that are working in our favor,” Schindler told me following his visit to the White House. “They offer a great cost of living, they are motivated from a local government perspective, and there’s partnerships with community colleges that can train people in the skills we need. It makes an attractive cost case, whereas the opposite is happening in some other parts of the world.”

As for creating jobs in the U.S., Schindler says it’s great to be able to contribute to local communities. “But it’s business first–the economics have to be there,” he says.

Since Schindler had already secured the Healthcare.gov contract, several months before Obama’s “Insourcing” Meeting, that means that the August 2012 meeting was, like everything else Obama does, a Dog and Pony Show, held for the purpose of Propaganda.

And, as reported above, Schindler’s Corporation had already been “outsourcing” to Canada., where their work was “less than stellar”, to say the least.

To summarize, the failure of Obama’s Rollout of Obamacare , specifically, his miserable excuse of a website, is the result of old-fashioned, “you-scratch-my-back-I’ll-scratch-your’s” political shenanigans.

The Shutdown: Clowns to the Left of Me…Jokers to the “Right”

clowncarAs the Government Shutdown wanes on, polls are coming out, seemingly every day, blaming the 17% Shutdown on Congress. Heck, some are even actually laying the blame on the shoulders of President Barack Hussein Obama, where is most certainly belongs.

As yesterday ended, Congress found themselves still without any sort of agreement, as the Wall Street Journal reports…

Top Senate leaders said they were within striking distance of an agreement Monday to reopen the federal government and defuse a looming debt crisis just days before the U.S. could run out of money to pay its bills.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D., Nev.) said on the Senate floor that the leaders had made “tremendous progress” toward a deal and that he was hopeful Tuesday would be a “bright day.” The Senate’s Republican leader, Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, seconded Mr. Reid’s optimism. “We’ve had a good day,” he said.

The White House postponed a planned afternoon meeting of congressional leaders with President Barack Obama, saying the schedule change would give Senate leaders time to hash out a deal.

The latest proposal would reopen the government at current spending levels until Jan. 15 and extend the federal borrowing limit until early February, according to aides familiar with the talks. Lawmakers also would begin longer-term negotiations on the budget, with the task of reaching an agreement by Dec. 13.

Even before the deal was unveiled, it provoked grumbling Monday night among restive House Republicans. Mr. McConnell said Monday he expected to “get a result that will be acceptable to both sides.”

By setting up yet another series of fiscal deadlines, the agreement, if embraced, would carry the hallmark of other deadline-driven deals that have become typical of the increasingly polarized Capitol.

“Everybody realizes that whatever happens, we’re going to be litigating this another day,” said Sen. John Thune of South Dakota, a member of the Senate GOP leadership.

…Republicans who entered the budget battle determined to gut the health law have steadily scaled back their demands in the face of Democratic resistance. Still, many could find it hard to accept the Senate proposal, especially if it makes no changes to the health law.

Some House Republicans would likely resist the deal, putting House Speaker John Boehner (R., Ohio) in a tight spot.

Mr. Boehner could face a rebellion from the House’s most fiscally conservative lawmakers, many of whom were elected with tea-party support. That would force Mr. Boehner to rely on Democrats to pass the Senate measure.

The lack of immediate spending cuts, as well as the absence of major changes to the health law, could prompt conservative opposition.

“I can’t vote for something that doesn’t have substantive spending cuts right now,” said Rep. Joe Barton (R., Texas).

Many House Republicans declined to comment until they saw the final Senate proposal. Some still were smarting from Mr. Obama’s decision to end discussions with them on Friday, which effectively sidelined the House GOP and accelerated talks in the Senate. The House offer abandoned many of the GOP’s initial policy demands. It would have raised the debt ceiling for six weeks without making other policy changes. But it didn’t appear to contain any explicit agreement to reopen the government immediately.

“We believed that we could have worked with the president,” said Rep. Pete Sessions (R., Texas) “and then the president dropped us like a hot potato.”

There is actually more animus from the House Republicans toward the RINOs in the Senate, than the WSJ alluded to, as Breitbart.com tells us…

Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI), chair of the House Budget Committee, told conservative talk radio host Charlie Sykes Monday morning that House Republicans had demanded a one-year delay in Obamacare’s individual mandate, along with an end to congressional exemptions, while offering a six-week debt ceiling hike to allow room for negotiations on broader budget issues. The offer was made to President Barack Obama last Thursday.

President Obama, said Ryan, listened but declined to respond. In the meantime, Ryan said, it became clear the president was negotiating separately to obtain more favorable terms from Senate Republicans, trying to “jam” the House Republicans in the process. Ryan told Sykes that Obama and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid had “overplayed their hand” in attempting to prolong the crisis to maximize political damage to Republicans.

Ryan described the delay to the individual mandate as an “obvious” step to take, given that technical issues with the Obamacare exchanges might prevent the mandate from being enforced at all. “We could have spent the weekend putting an agreement together that says we’re gonna deal with the debt, we’re gonna deal with this economy, and we’re gonna fix these big flaws in Obamacare, or at least give people delays in these penalties.”

While Ryan actually makes a good point, concerning delaying the Individual Mandate, that is like using a slingshot to bring down an elephant.

The fact of the matter is that Americans do not want Obamacare…period…as proven by the fact that only 51,000 nationally, signed up for Obamacare in its first week.

That is less Americans than attend a College or Professional Football Game.

Evidently, the Manchurian President feels like he can more easily con the old RINO’s in the Senate, like McConnell, McCain, and Graham, who have been publicly bashing Conservatives for a while now, including the last week, than he can Cryin’ John and Company, in the House.

Meanwhile, average Americans, like you and me, are forced to watch these clowns and jokers, as they hurl accusations at one another, making Capital Hill and the White House sound more like a Daycare Center, rather than the Seat of Government.

Judging from the fact that Obama is the one who refuses to negotiate…

I’d say that somebody needs a nap.

Obamacare Phone Number Flips Off Entire Nation

obamababyAs the Government Shutdown continues, so do the revelations concerning the out-of-control, rampaging monster known as Obamacare, and the mad scientist who created it, Barack Hussein Obama, and his minions, the Democrats and Vichy Republicans in Congress and his Administration.

The Obama administration seemingly remained consistent with its brand when one considers the phone number for the Obamacare hotline.

A reporter for the Washington Free Beacon, Lachlan Markay, tweeted the following (cleaned up, for language):

“@lachlan Fun fact: if you exclude the 1 (no associated letters), the federal Obamacare hotline is 1-800-F***-YO.”

Taking into account that the number 1 on most keypads doesn’t have any letters associated with it, one seeking answers to their Obamacare questions would dial 24 hours a day, 7 days a week: 1-800-F1*-**YO.

Though the phone number is missing the important “U” at the end, which would have simply required taking out the unassigned number 1 and adding an 8 at the end, it’s still pretty much the message Obama has had for the American people since day one.

No one should be surprised by this. Ever since the Manchurian President first sat on his throne, his petulant, imperious nature, has literally screamed these two words at the American people.

Then, on that fateful night in March of 2010, when, in the middle of night, the Affordable Care Act was passed, Obama might as well have stood on the top of the Capitol Building, shouting these two words , with both his middle fingers extended.

As his reaction this week to the Government Shutdown has shown, he is a vulgar, petulant , shallow individual, who cares more about his personal accomplishments, than the welfare of the American Citizens, whom he is supposed to lead.

For example…

First, he refuses to negotiate with Congress, in order to end the Shutdown, he has created.

At the White House, Obama joined the Republican and Democratic leaders of Congress in a one-and-a-half-hour meeting that Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), the Senate minority leader, called “cordial but unproductive.”

Leaders of both parties said afterwards that Republican demands to defund or delay Obama’s signature health law, which helped lead to this week’s shutdown, remain a critical obstacle to any agreement.

House Speaker John A. Boehner (R-Ohio) said the president “reiterated tonight he will not negotiate.”

“We’ve got divided government. Democrats control the Senate, Republicans control the House,” he said. “All we’re asking for here is a discussion and fairness for the American people under Obamacare.”

But Senate Majority Harry Reid (D-Nev.) said the president was unbending, calling him “strong, strong, strong.”

He added, “One thing we made very clear in that meeting: We are locked in tight on Obamacare.”

The back-and-forth Wednesday came on the second day of a partial government shutdown that has furloughed 800,000 federal workers and appears likely to remain for an extended period of time.

The next crucial deadline comes on Oct. 17, the last day that the Treasury Department estimates that the federal government is certain to have enough money to pay all its bills. Investors have been demanding higher interest rates for U.S. Treasury bills in recent days, a sign of concern that the federal government could have trouble servicing its debt.

Second, Obama has been “barry-cading” National Monuments, such as the World War II Memorial, which I wrote about earlier this week. Now, Obama has shut down access to Normandy Beach.

Yes. That Normandy Beach, where my Daddy and thousands of our Brightest and Best, landed on D-Day.

Heck, Obama even attempted to block the road leading to Mt. Vernon. The problem is, the government does not own Mt. Vernon, nor does it fund the WWII Memorial.

So, why is The Lightbringer doing this?

Is it…

A.  He does not like our Military

B. He is making the American People share HIS pain.

C. He is a petty, petulant little man.

D. All of the above.

If you picked “D”, you were absolutely right.

In April of 2008, at a San Francisco Fund Raiser, Presidential Candidate, Barack Hussein Obama, infamously said,

You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them. And they fell through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not.

And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy toward people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.

The Petulant President has never had any respect whatsoever for America, her traditions, or her people. We are simply, as in the old Soviet Union, the Proletariat. lab rats to serve, and be experimented on,by a less-than-benevolent Marxist Regime….and, that includes our Brightest and Best.

The “Barry-cading” of the WWII Memorial, showed everybody how Obama feels about the sacrifices made by our Greatest Generation. When these brave American heroes defied him the first day, Obama sent Mounted Police to attempt to enforce the “Barry-cades” the next day. 

On top of that. what’s the logical purpose of closing Normandy Beach, far away in France, except as a punitive measure?

This week has been nothing but a full-blown Presidential Temper Tantrum. There is nothing noble about it. 

The President of the United States has. once again, said “F*** You!” to all of us. And, I am tired of it.

Welcome to Obamacare…and Government-Funded Hedonism

Obama once remarked that we were no longer a Christian Nation. …and, with this massive failure in the making, he’s making sure that his statement is made true.

The Washington Times reports

The Office of Personnel Management ruled Monday that members of Congress and their staffs will be able to buy health care plans that pay for abortions, even though the premiums are funded largely by taxpayer money — a move that conservatives say breaks federal law on abortion funding.

Under the terms of Obamacare, lawmakers and their aides are required to ditch their government-sponsored plans and buy insurance on state-based health care exchanges, though unlike most people on the exchanges, the staffers and members will have most of the costs of their premiums paid by their employer — in this case, taxpayers.

Federal law generally prevents taxpayer money from being used to pay for abortions, but OPM said the health care plans offered through the exchange were private. The agency also said it will make sure the money is segregated so that the portion that pays for abortions comes out of the employees’ own contributions, which amounts to about a quarter of the premiums.

“While plans with such coverage may be offered on an Exchange, OPM can and will take appropriate administrative steps to ensure that the cost of any such coverage purchased by a member of Congress or a congressional staffer from a designated [exchange] is accounted for and paid by the individual rather than from the government contribution, consistent with the general prohibition on federal funds being used for this purpose,” OPM said in its ruling.

Rep. Christopher H. Smith, New Jersey Republican, said OPM is violating a law he wrote in 1983 that prohibits OPM from paying any expenses to administer plans that cover abortion, except in cases of rape or incest or when the mother’s life is in danger.

“You can’t break the law, Mr. President, and just issue a final rule as if somehow you’re comporting with the law,” Mr. Smith told The Washington Times. “We don’t want to subsidize abortion on demand, and the public is absolutely with us.”

Back on June 4th of this year, examiner.com told us that

…Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said that Obamacare will place a special focus on members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered community because “for too long…[they] were pushed to the side,” Paul Bedard reported at the Washington Examiner.

“LGBT individuals have faced limited access to health care and insurance. They have been less likely to get the preventive care they need to stay healthy, they have higher rates of tobacco use, and they are often at increased risk for mental health illness,” she said.

To counter this, the administration is drawing attention to new benefits under Obamacare targeted to gays, Bedard said, and will add gender status to health surveys and questionnaires critical in determining services under Obamacare.

“Like all Americans, LGBT Americans deserve respectful health care providers and the security of accessible, affordable health care that meets their needs,” Sebelius said.

The announcement coincides with Obama’s proclamation of June as LGBT Pride Month.

“As we observe LGBT Pride Month, I am pleased to say that the Department of Health and Human Services continues working hard to make this a reality for the LGBT community,” she added.

Bedard posted the key benefits gays and lesbians will receive under Obamacare, according to Sebelius:

  • “Insurers can no longer impose lifetime dollar limits on health insurance coverage, and annual limits will be phased out in 2014. This is particularly important for people with cancer, HIV/AIDS, and other chronic diseases requiring comprehensive, long-term care.”
  • “Starting in 2014, insurers cannot deny coverage or charge higher rates based on a pre-existing condition or because an individual is lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender.”
  • “Insurers generally must cover such vital preventive services as HIV screening, vaccinations, depression screening, contraception, intimate-partner violence screening, and annual well-woman visits, at no out-of-pocket charge.”
  • “Healthcare.gov includes a health plan finder tool that allows consumers shopping for health insurance to filter for plans offering coverage for domestic and same-sex partners.”

Several times on the internet, I have attempted to engage in discussion with Kool-Aid drinking Liberals who insist that the Godless Socialization of American’s Healthcare System, the greatest in the world, is exactly what Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, would do.

I refute that, by carefully explaining to them  that no, Christ was not the author of “social justice”, sinful man was. Christ, in fact, said the following:

“For you always have the poor with you, and whenever you want, you can do good for them. But, you will not always have me.” – Mark 14:7( ESV)

Yes, we are called upon to show Christian Compassion, through individual good works, or charity in action, through the organized “Body of Christ” (America’s churches).

I even had a Liberal tell me that Mosaic Law justified welfare, as it was the world’s first Welfare System.

First, I explained to the ill-informed young man that Christians are not under Mosaic Law, we are covered by the blood of Christ, and are under the New Covenant, as a result of His sacrifice.

Then, I explained that the teachings of Jesus, the Council of Jerusalem, and other New Testament teachings , (Romans 2:25-29, 8:1-4, 1 Corinthians 9:19-21, Galatians 2:15-16, Ephesians 2:15) make it clear that Christians are not required to follow the Old Testament rules about crimes and punishments, warfare, slavery, diet, circumcision, animal sacrifices, feast days, Sabbath observance, ritual cleanness, etc.

As Christians, we still look back to the Old Testament scripture for moral and spiritual guidance (2 Timothy 3:16-17). However, when there is a conflict between Old Testament laws and New Testament principles, Christians follow the New Testament because it represents the most recent and most perfect revelation from God.

So, the next time a Liberal gives you a bunch of garbage about Obamacare being the “Christian” thing to do, please set them straight, in a clear and gentle manner.

Then, feel free to quote them two of my favorite Bible verses:

2. “Go thou and do likewise.”

Because Christians aren’t perfect. Just forgiven. 🙂

Obamacare: A Game of Chicken on Capitol Hill. Dems Impersonate Dr. Peter Venkman.

House Republicans approved a stopgap spending bill that delays ObamaCare in an early-morning Sunday vote that increases the chances of a government shutdown.

The high-stakes GOP move intensifies a game of chicken with Senate Democrats with just 48 hours to go before the lights could go out on the federal government.

The White House threatened to veto the measure, while Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) proclaimed it dead in the upper chamber.

…Republicans characterized the bill as a safety net in the event Congress can’t reach a deal. Democrats countered with charges that the proposal is evidence that the GOP’s CR strategy is designed to shutter the government.

The CR package was designed to cater to conservative Republicans, who have insisted that any spending package must scale back ObamaCare. Those conservatives had revolted earlier in the month when Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) tried to move a funding bill without that direct link.

The resistance forced GOP leaders to approve a CR last week that would have defunded the healthcare law – language that was stripped by Senate Democrats Friday, putting the ball back in Boehner’s court.

At a closely watched meeting of the GOP conference Saturday afternoon in the Capitol basement, Boehner outlined his hard-line strategy, leading to cheers from a conference that’s often been wary of his conservative credentials.

“This is exactly what we hoped for so we’re all getting behind leadership,” said Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.), a Tea Party favorite. “We’re excited [and] we’re united.”

The bill now moves back to the Senate, where Reid is expected to scrap the two healthcare amendments with a single vote on Monday, when the Senate returns, and return the “clean” CR, yet again, to Boehner and House Republicans.

“To be absolutely clear, the Senate will reject both the one-year delay of the Affordable Care Act and the repeal of the medical device tax,” Reid said in a statement. “After weeks of futile political games from Republicans, we are still at square one: Republicans must decide whether to pass the Senate’s clean CR, or force a Republican government shutdown.”

That move could potentially come just hours before the Tuesday shutdown.

“ObamaCare is based on limitless government, bureaucratic arrogance, and a disregard of the will of the people,” said Rep. Marlin Stutzman (R-Ind.).

If you listen to the Democrats, a “Government Shutdown” is equal to a sighting of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

However, in reality…

During Ronald Reagan’s presidency from 1981 to 1989, shutdowns were a fairly regular occurrence and the government faced a funding shortfall on eight occasions. However, none of those lasted more than three days and many of them occurred over a weekend. Because stocks don’t trade over the weekend and the shutdowns were brief, investors had little reaction back then.

When shutdowns are prolonged and federal employees are out of work for weeks, the effect on the market is usually more negative. Under the Gerald Ford and Jimmy Carter administrations, when the government was shut down for 10 days or more, the average decline for the stock market was more than 3 percent during closures.

But in the last major pair of shutdowns, from November 1995 to January 1996, the stock market actually rose.

President Bill Clinton and the Republican House leader Newt Gingrich failed to agree on a plan to reduce the nation’s budget deficit as well as cuts to Medicare premiums. As a result, the government shut twice in three months. First, it closed for five days between Nov. 13, 1995 and Nov. 19, 1995. Then a second shutdown lasted 21 days, from Dec. 15, 1995 to Jan. 6, 1996.

The S&P 500 rose 4 percent between Nov. 13 and Jan. 6, suggesting that investors were focused elsewhere. The stock market had just started its five-year, technology-fueled bull run, during which the S&P 500 more than doubled.

Even if the government shuts again, investors should take a long view because Europe and the U.S. are more stable than two years ago, says Dan Veru, chief investment officer of Palisade Capital Management.

“If things get really tricky, maybe there will be a three to five percent pullback,” in stocks, Veru says.

On October 27, 1964, the Great Communicator, Ronald Wilson Reagan, spoke the following words, in his classic speech, “A Time for Choosing”:

And this idea that government is beholden to the people, that it has no other source of power except the sovereign people, is still the newest and the most unique idea in all the long history of man’s relation to man.

This is the issue of this election: Whether we believe in our capacity for self-government or whether we abandon the American revolution and confess that a little intellectual elite in a far-distant capitol can plan our lives for us better than we can plan them ourselves.

You and I are told increasingly we have to choose between a left or right. Well I’d like to suggest there is no such thing as a left or right. There’s only an up or down—[up] man’s old—old-aged dream, the ultimate in individual freedom consistent with law and order, or down to the ant heap of totalitarianism. And regardless of their sincerity, their humanitarian motives, those who would trade our freedom for security have embarked on this downward course.

In this vote-harvesting time, they use terms like the “Great Society,” or as we were told a few days ago by the President, we must accept a greater government activity in the affairs of the people. But they’ve been a little more explicit in the past and among themselves; and all of the things I now will quote have appeared in print. These are not Republican accusations. For example, they have voices that say, “The cold war will end through our acceptance of a not undemocratic socialism.” Another voice says, “The profit motive has become outmoded. It must be replaced by the incentives of the welfare state.” Or, “Our traditional system of individual freedom is incapable of solving the complex problems of the 20th century.” Senator Fullbright has said at Stanford University that the Constitution is outmoded. He referred to the President as “our moral teacher and our leader,” and he says he is “hobbled in his task by the restrictions of power imposed on him by this antiquated document.” He must “be freed,” so that he “can do for us” what he knows “is best.” And Senator Clark of Pennsylvania, another articulate spokesman, defines liberalism as “meeting the material needs of the masses through the full power of centralized government.”

Well, I, for one, resent it when a representative of the people refers to you and me, the free men and women of this country, as “the masses.” This is a term we haven’t applied to ourselves in America. But beyond that, “the full power of centralized government”—this was the very thing the Founding Fathers sought to minimize. They knew that governments don’t control things. A government can’t control the economy without controlling people. And they know when a government sets out to do that, it must use force and coercion to achieve its purpose. They also knew, those Founding Fathers, that outside of its legitimate functions, government does nothing as well or as economically as the private sector of the economy.

Back in the day, when I was in school, and we pledged allegiance to the Flag, and not the president,, we were taught How Marxism, in both its forms, socialism and communism, took away the individual rights of the people, and made them a single, faceless entity, subservient to the will of the all-powerful Central Government.

That, boys and girls, is exactly what Obamacare is designed to do.

And, that is why Obama and his Progressive Minions, on both sides of the aisle, are so anxious to see it implemented.

Obamacare was not passed for YOUR benefit, Pookie. They did it for THEIR’s.

Obama Calls the President of Iran, Refuses to Negotiate With Republicans

I saw it firsthand as a child in Indonesia, where devout Christians worshiped freely in an overwhelmingly Muslim country. That is the spirit we need today. People in every country should be free to choose and live their faith-based upon the persuasion of the mind and the heart and the soul. Since the ouster of the Shah, Iran has been a thorn in the side of the Free World, and, especially, the United States of America.

As a Radio News Director in College, I covered the Iranian Revolution and the resulting Hostage Crisis from start to finish.

Are you old enough to remember the Hostage Crisis? If not, here is a summary, courtesy of u-s-history.com:

 On November 4, 1979, an angry mob of some 300 to 500 “students” who called themselves “Imam’s Disciples,” laid siege to the American Embassy in Teheran, Iran, to capture and hold hostage 66 U.S. citizens and diplomats. Although women and African-Americans were released a short time later, 51 hostages remained imprisoned for 444 days with another individual released because of illness midway through the ordeal.

…Upon the death of the shah in July [1980] (which neutralized one demand) and the Iraqi invasion of Iran in September (necessitating weapons acquisition), Iran became more amenable to reopening negotiations for the hostages’ release.

In the late stages of the presidential race with Ronald Reagan, Carter, given those new parameters, might have been able to bargain with the Iranians, which might have clinched the election for him. The 11th-hour heroics were dubbed an “October Surprise”* by the Reagan camp — something they did not want to see happen.

Allegations surfaced that William Casey, director of the Reagan campaign, and some CIA operatives, secretly met with Iranian officials in Europe to arrange for the hostages’ release, but not until after the election. If true, some observers aver, dealing with a hostile foreign government to achieve a domestic administration’s defeat would have been grounds for charges of treason.

Reagan won the election, partly because of the failure of the Carter administration to bring the hostages home. Within minutes of Reagan’s inauguration, the hostages were released.

And now, with America at her most vulnerable, with our economy in horrible shape and about to get worse, thanks to the implementation of a National-run Healthcare System which nobody wants, and with an ineffectual Foreign Policy,which is as big a global joke as the President behind it, that self-same wuss of a United States President is now looking to negotiate with the before-mentioned Islamic Terrorist State.

President Obama proudly announced yesterday that he had talked on the phone with the new “Moderate” Iranian President Rouhani.

“Just now I spoke on the phone with President Rouhani of the Islamic Republic of Iran,” he said. “The two of us discussed our ongoing efforts to reach an agreement over Iran’s nuclear program.”

This is the first time leaders from America and Iran have spoken since 1979.

“I reiterated to President Rouhani what I said in New York. While there will surely be important obstacles to moving forward and success is by no means guaranteed, I believe we can reach a comprehensive solution.

“I’ve directed Secretary Kerry to continue pursuing this diplomatic effort with the Iranian government. We had constructive discussions yesterday in New York with our partners, the European Union, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Russia, and China, together with the Iranian foreign minister, and going forward, President Rouhani and I have directed our teams to continue working expeditiously in corporation with the P-5 plus one to pursue an agreement. And throughout this process we will stay in close touch with our friends and allies in the region, including Israel.

“Now we are mindful of all the challenges ahead. The very fact that this was the first communication between an American and Iranian president since 1979 underscores the deep mistrust between our countries.”

Obama said that “Iran’s supreme leader has issued a fatwa against the development of nuclear weapons, President Rouhani has indicated that Iran will never develop nuclear weapons.”

This, from the same guy who will go down as the most partisan President in United States History, whose Administration has become notorious for calling Republicans everything but “children of God”.

And, who now, refuses to negotiate with Republicans about the Debt ceiling, Obamacare, or anything else.

So, what is the explanation for this? Naiveté? Stupidity? Ego? Yes, indeedy. However, there is something deeper behind this bonehead move by Obama. In fact, it’s soul-deep.

It goes back to a young Barack Hussein Obama, who, in one of his two books, written by Bomber Bill Ayers, “Dreams of my Father”, said,

Of course, not all my conversations in immigrant communities follow this easy pattern. In the wake of 9/11, my meetings with Arab and Pakistani Americans, for example, have a more urgent quality, for the stories of detentions and FBI questioning and hard stares from neighbors have shaken their sense of security and belonging. They have been reminded that the history of immigration in this country has a dark underbelly; they need specific reassurances that their citizenship really means something, that America has learned the right lessons from the Japanese internments during World War II, and that I will stand with them should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.

Right now, in our nation, the political winds have shifted in an ugly direction, thanks to Obama’s lack of leadership. Political Partisanship has intensified to such an extent, that political pundits on both sides of the aisle, have labeled the situation a “Civil War”

Instead of seriously attempting to unite the country he is supposed to be serving and protecting, Obama is acting like a petulant child, insisting that everybody play by his rules, or else, he will take his ball and go home.

Now, on top of that, he reaches out to a country who sponsors Islamic Terrorism, and with whom we have not had diplomatic relations since their revolution in 1979.

What is he going to do? Help them with their “Nuclear Enhancement Program”, so they can launch one at us quicker?

He negotiates with those who want to kill us, and gives ultimatums to his own countrymen.

He truly is our first Anti-American President.

The Republican Civil War Over Obamacare: Conservatives Vs. the Vichy Republicans

Cartoon-Cruz-Vs-Establishment-600Just a few days away from the end of the greatest Healthcare System in the World, the grizzled veterans of the Grand Old Party are acting like a bunch of children who got beat on the playground in a kickball game, and who now want to take their ball and go home.

Fox News reports that

Republican tensions grew Thursday as Tea Party-aligned senators rejected a bid to speed up the vote on a bill to fund the government while defunding ObamaCare, with one senior lawmaker accusing his colleagues of posturing — as the chances of a government shutdown increased.

The flurry of activity occurred late Thursday afternoon on the Senate floor. With lawmakers facing a Sept. 30 deadline to pass a spending bill, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid tried to get approval to hold key votes on Thursday, in order to give the House more time to consider the legislation.

But Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, objected, along with Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas. That puts off the next vote until Friday.

Their complaints prompted a tense encounter on the floor with Sen. Bob Corker, R-Tenn., who suggested the only reason they want to wait until Friday is because they want to turn the vote into a show for supporters.

“This is confusing to me,” Corker said. “I’m understanding the reason we’re waiting is that y’all have sent out releases and emails and you want everybody to be able to watch. It just doesn’t seem to me that that’s in our nation’s interest.”

Cruz later said: “I think it is unfortunate that any member of the United States Senate should want our votes to occur outside of the view of the American people.”

The brief dispute underscored the divide in the GOP over this vote.

The bill itself, passed by the House last week, would keep the government open past Sept. 30 and defund the health care law. Senators like Cruz, who spoke for more than 21 hours on the Senate floor in opposition to ObamaCare, support this language.

However, Cruz and others plan to oppose the test vote on Friday — because they say Reid, as his next step, will strip out the ObamaCare provision and promptly send the bill back to the House.

They argue that anybody who votes to advance the bill on Friday is effectively voting to restore funding to the health law.

Other Republicans argue that this position is counterintuitive, and have indicated support for the upcoming vote.

This has led to some nasty infighting.

Now, I know that I’m just an average American, but, it appears to me that the members of the Republican Establishment are both embarrassed by and jealous of the massive public support for Ted Cruz and the rest of the Conservative Republicans.

Now is not the time for whiny divisiveness, as Conservative Pundit Patrick J. Buchanan points out…

…The Republican war over whether to bow to the seemingly inevitable and fund Obamacare is a Panama Canal issue. How one votes here may decisively affect one’s career.

Ted Cruz may have, as Richard Nixon used to say, “broken his pick” in the Republican caucus. Yet, on Obamacare, his analysis is right, his instincts are right, his disposition to fight is right.

These are more important matters than the news that he is out of the running for the Mr. Congeniality award on Capitol Hill.

If Obamacare is funded, the subsidies starting in January will constitute a morphine drip from which America’s health-care system will not recover. If not stopped now, Obamacare is forever.

Senate Republicans should be asking themselves why Cruz and Rand Paul, two newcomers to the Senate of decidedly different temperaments, are being talked of as credible candidates in the presidential primaries of 2016.

Answer: Both are clear in their convictions, unapologetic about them and willing to break some china to achieve them. And that part of America upon which the GOP depends most is increasingly frustrated and angry with those who run the national party.

Americans don’t want a dignified surrender on Obamacare. They want someone to drive a stake through Obamacare.

And the question that is going to be answered in coming weeks is: Is the GOP willing to shove its whole stack into the middle of the table, for a showdown over Obamacare? Or will the House GOP in the end cast the decisive vote to make Obamacare permanent?

For, as columnist Terry Jeffrey writes, “[M]ake no mistake. If Obamacare is funded and implemented, it will be because Republican members of Congress decided to do it.”

As Terry notes, Congress has absolute power over the public purse. Article I of the Constitution says, “No money shall be drawn from the Treasury but in consequence of appropriations made by law.”

The law authorizing President Obama to spend more money for Obamacare expires Sept. 30. If the House refuses to vote for any bill that contains new Obamacare funding, Obamacare is dead.

Thus the Republican House controls the fate of Obamacare.

But if we don’t fund Obamacare, comes the Republican wail, Harry Reid will let the government shut down, the American people will blame us, and all of our pundits say we can’t win this fight.

For sure you cannot win if you do not fight.

Right on. Right on.

However, the Vichy Republicans, as I dubbed them a while back, would rather reach across the aisle, and give up any Republican ideals they may possess, than be actual public servants, instead of self-serving mountebanks.

They are beclowning themselves, in their missionary zeal to appear to be “statesmen” and to “go along to get along”

Their desire for protocol and “statesmanship”, has trumped any desire of the Republican Elite to actually stand on principles and fight the socialization of the greatest Healthcare System on the face of the Earth.

And, for that, they should be embarrassed.

Of Obamacare, the United Nations, and a Congressional Betrayal

McCainObamaYesterday was a dark day for America.

After witnessing the gallant, patriotic “non-filibuster” against Obamacare by Senator Ted Cruz, Americans then watched as veteran Senator and Former Republican Presidential Candidate John McCain, betrayed any Republican ideals he might have ever had, and basically give the Democrats’ Response to his own Party Member’s historic speech.

To say it was disgusting, is an understatement.

Speaking as an average American, it was heart-breaking, aggravating, and unconscionable to watch the shriveled up, past-his usefulness, former “Maverick” pucker up and kiss Obama’s and the Democrats’ collective (I used that word on purpose) derriere, like a septuagenarian Oliver Twist, wanting another bowl of gruel.

Please, sir. May I have some more?

Judas received 30 pieces of silver for betraying Our Lord and Savior. What are McCain and the rest of these Vichy Republican Turncoats receiving for the worst betrayal of America, since Benedict Arnold?

Whatever they are receiving for their duplicitous behavior, I hope it is worth the end of the Republican Party.

Don’t get me wrong, like you, I knew this was coming. The Vichy Republicans have been a bunch of self-serving grifters since before the days of Ronald Reagan. Heck, if they had had their way, Ronaldus Magnus never would have been the greatest President of the United States of America in our lifetime. What overcame their Progressive plans for our country back then, was a very good, decent, and honest man, who had a desire to serve his country, and make things better for average Americans, like you and me.

Unlike the present occupant of the White House, Ronald Wilson Reagan not only talked the talk…he walked the walk.

And, as horrifying and self-serving as the actions of McCain and the Republican Elite are, the patriotism and leadership which Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, and their allies showed, gives us hope for the future

And, we’re going to need that leadership, and these public servants, to protect this country from the “regime”.

The other big news yesterday was Secretary of State John (I fought in Vietnam.) Kerry, without the blessing of Congress, signing the UN Arms Trade Treaty.

The U.N. Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) requires countries to regulate and control the export of weaponry such as battle tanks, combat vehicles and aircraft and attack helicopters, as well as parts and ammunition for such weapons. It also provides that participating countries will not violate arms embargoes, international treaties regarding illicit trafficking, or sell weaponry to countries for genocide, crimes against humanity or other war crimes.

With the unwavering support of Obama and his Administration, the ratifying General Assembly vote totaled 155 to 3, with 22 abstentions. Iran, Syria and North Korea voted against it.

The problem with the treaty is that is positively porous, due to all of the loopholes contained in it. The list of controlled weaponry in it includes “small arms and light weapons”. Of course, the U.N. claims that the pact is meant to regulate only cross-border trade and would have no impact on domestic U.S. laws and markets.

The Senate Republicans have threatened to block this violation of our sovereignty, but, then again, they said that they would stand against Obamacare, too, didn’t they?

My question is, what legitimate right does the United Nations and any of the countries therein, have to “make rulings” affecting the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution and us American citizens who are protected under it?

This Administration seems bound and determined to make America into just another nation, assigning American Exceptionalism (regardless of the show he put on for Putin) to the trash heap of  history.

Their pure ignorance to America’s place in the world is overwhelming. Only by standing up to the thug nations represented at the UN, will America be respected, and left alone, as the sovereign nation that we are.

Obama’s bowing and scraping, like a leader of a country who occupied a subservient position to nations filled with barbarians, who would slit every American’s throat, if given the chance, is an stunning example of this naivete and downright ignorance.

And, now, what’s twice as frightening, is the fact that, except for what seems to be a minority of the “so-called” “Opposition Party”, average Americans like you and me, have no one in a position of authority to truly speak for us.

Our present “Republican Leadership”, like the former “Maverick”, now Democrat Lackey, speaks only for themselves, and their own avarice.

That’s why Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, and the rest of the “Young Conservatives” are a badly-needed breath of fresh air.

Come to think of it, that’s why Facebook is shutting down the pages of Conservatives. Dissension will not be tolerated, by the Progressives of both sides of the aisle.

Witness McCain’s disgusting display yesterday.

Just like King George thought that raising taxes and hiring Hessian mercenaries to keep our forefathers in line, America’s Modern-day Tyrants, the Progressives, mistakenly believe that lies, threats, and censorship will stifle The Tea Party Movement, along with America’s Majority Conservative population.

They expect us to surrender to their Marxist ideas for running and thereby, ruining, the greatest country on the face of God’s green Earth.

They have forgotten their American History.

Gen. Anthony Clement McAuliffe is best remembered for uttering a single word — no mean feat, considering that even the shortest Bible verse has two. Commanding the U.S. Army’s beleaguered and surrounded 101st Airborne Division during World War II’s Battle of the Bulge, McAuliffe received a German surrender ultimatum. “Nuts!” he replied, and became a lasting symbol of American courage and determination under fire.

A 1918 West Point graduate, McAuliffe held various field artillery positions before World War II. On the eve of D-Day, McAuliffe jumped with the first wave as a commander of division artillery, although he had never received formal parachute training.

In December 1944, during the siege of Bastogne, Belgium, McAuliffe was acting commander of the 101st in Gen. Maxwell D. Taylor’s absence. The Americans had been holding the Belgian town “at all costs,” and on Dec. 22, Gen. McAuliffe received the encouraging news that the 4th Armored Division was beginning its drive north to relieve the 101st. Later that morning, members of the division’s glider regiment saw four Germans coming up the road carrying a white flag. Everyone hoped they were offering surrender. Instead, they presented two pages demanding the Americans’ surrender: “To the USA Commander of the encircled town of Bastogne. . .There is only one possibility. . .the honorable surrender of the encircled town.”

McAuliffe glanced at the message and said, “Aw, nuts!” When he told his commanders he didn’t know what answer to send, Lt. Col. Harry Kinnard said ‘That first crack you made would be hard to beat, General.” Everyone laughed as a sergeant typed up the succinct response: “To the German Commander: Nuts! The American Commander.”

Between this stoic reply, Patton’s troops from the south, and a change in the weather that allowed air reinforcement the following day, the 101st was able to hold Bastogne. Their victory resulted in the first full-Division Presidential Distinguished Unit Citation.

McAuliffe’s actions at Bastogne helped assure the final defeat of the Germans.

After reading Gen. McAuliffe’s story, if you are an average American, like me, facing the betrayal of those who are supposed to be OUR public servants, you can only reply with a heartfelt “Amen!” and a promise that 

I have not yet begun to fight!
