Senator Ted Cruz: “The Way We Win Is With Bold Colors And Not Pale Pastels.”

tedcruz2016 will be here before we know it. So far, the potential Republican Presidential Candidates are less than exciting, to say the least.

A certain Conservative Firebrand from deep in the heart of Texas has some strong opinions about the future direction of the Republican Party.

Politico.com has the story…

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz took a swipe at Mitt Romney on Monday, saying that Republicans’ path to the presidency doesn’t cut through “the mushy middle.”

Cruz was asked about Romney, the GOP’s 2012 nominee, by reporters following the senator’s keynote address at a Heritage Foundation summit.

“There are some who believe that a path to Republican victory is to run to the mushy middle, is to blur distinctions,” Cruz said. “I think recent history has shown us, that’s not a path to success. It doesn’t work. It’s a failed electoral strategy. I very much agree with President Ronald Reagan that the way we win is by painting with bold colors and not pale pastels and I think that’s gonna be a debate Republicans are gonna have over the next two years.”

“It is certainly a debate that I intend to participate in vigorously,” the first-term Texas senator added.

Cruz also called on the Republican majority in Congress not to back down from the agenda on which its members ran and laid out a 10-point plan for the country that included renewed efforts at repealing Obamacare and abolishing the IRS in a keynote address at the Heritage Foundation on Monday afternoon.

“We need to do everything humanly possible to repeal Obamacare,” including a Senate vote on full repeal followed by piecemeal votes on repealing the least popular components of the Affordable Care Act, Cruz said on the first day of a two-day summit branded “Opportunity for All: Favoritism to None.” (Heritage also laid out an agenda in a book of the same name.)

Cruz is one of about two dozen conservative lawmakers scheduled to address the summit, including Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul, a potential rival for the GOP presidential nomination.

The senator also hit other conservative hot-button issues — calling for approval of the Keystone XL pipeline, passage of balanced budget and term limits amendments to the Constitution, auditing the federal reserve and repealing the Common Core educational standards.

Cruz ended his remarks with a criticism of the Obama administration’s foreign policy, characterizing it as too soft on Iran’s nuclear program and on Islamic terrorism. “They target the West,” he said, “and yet you cannot win a war against radical Islamic terrorism with an administration that is unwilling to utter the words radical Islamic terrorism. These were not a bunch of ticked-off Presbyterians.”

I’m not shy about stating that I like Senator Ted Cruz. He is a straight shooter, who is not afraid to tell it like it is.

The Republican Establishment, or Vichy Republicans, as I have dubbed them, are pushing potential Presidential Candidates for 2016 whose platforms are so similar to those of their potential Democrat Opponents are to be virtually indistinguishable.

Oblivious of their past failures (i.e., Dole, McCain, and Romney), while pursuing their milksop Political Philosophy, the Vichy Republicans, or GOPe, as an internet friend has named them, cling to their mission to hold onto their cushy Seats of Power, recently given to them last November by us, their Conservative Base, by playing an old, tired political game.

Make no mistake, they will defend the Washingtonian Status Quo to their last breath, and savage anyone who threatens it, with the help of their allies from “across the aisle”, the Democrats and their minions in the Main Stream media. Look at how they have attacked Former Alaskan Governor and Republican Vice-Presidential Candidate, Sarah Palin., and, in recent years, the Republican Senator, Ted Cruz of Texas.

They have called them both everything but Children of God.

However, they are not the first Conservative Republican Politicians to be attacked in this manner, in this generation.  That honor belonged to the greatest United States President in our lifetime. the great man that Senator Cruz referenced in his interview.

On March 1, 1975, the Great Communicator and Future President of the United States, Ronald Wilson Reagan, spoke the following words at the 2nd Annual CPAC Convention. He may as well have been speaking yesterday.

I don ‘t know about you, but I am impatient with those Republicans who after the last election rushed into print saying, “We must broaden the base of our party” — when what they meant was to fuzz up and blur even more the differences between ourselves and our opponents.

It was a feeling that there was not a sufficient difference now between the parties that kept a majority of the voters away from the polls. When have we ever advocated a closed-door policy? Who has ever been barred from participating?

Our people look for a cause to believe in. Is it a third party we need, or is it a new and revitalized second party, raising a banner of no pale pastels, but bold colors which make it unmistakably clear where we stand on all of the issues troubling the people?

Let us show that we stand for fiscal integrity and sound money and above all for an end to deficit spending, with ultimate retirement of the national debt.

Let us also include a permanent limit on the percentage of the people’s earnings government can take without their consent.

Let our banner proclaim a genuine tax reform that will begin by simplifying the income tax so that workers can compute their obligation without having to employ legal help.

And let it provide indexing — adjusting the brackets to the cost of living — so that an increase in salary merely to keep pace with inflation does not move the taxpayer into a surtax bracket. Failure to provide this means an increase in government’s share and would make the worker worse off than he was before he got the raise.

Let our banner proclaim our belief in a free market as the greatest provider for the people. Let us also call for an end to the nit-picking, the harassment and over-regulation of business and industry which restricts expansion and our ability to compete in world markets.

Let us explore ways to ward off socialism, not by increasing government’s coercive power, but by increasing participation by the people in the ownership of our industrial machine.

Our banner must recognize the responsibility of government to protect the law-abiding, holding those who commit misdeeds personally accountable.

And we must make it plain to international adventurers that our love of peace stops short of “peace at any price.”

We will maintain whatever level of strength is necessary to preserve our free way of life.

A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must represent certain fundamental beliefs which must not be compromised to political expediency, or simply to swell its numbers.

I do not believe I have proposed anything that is contrary to what has been considered Republican principle. It is at the same time the very basis of conservatism. It is time to reassert that principle and raise it to full view. And if there are those who cannot subscribe to these principles, then let them go their way.

Timeless Advice.

Here’s some from ol’ KJ, if I may be so bold: you members of the Republican Establishment need to climb down off of your bar stools at the Congressional Country Club, and travel outside the Echo Chamber of the Beltway, where actual, average Americans are living paycheck-to-paycheck, trying to provide for their families, while attempting to make a better life for their children and grandchildren.

Come on down to Mississippi and sit a spell and have some barbecue, sweet tea, and ‘nana puddin’ with us average Americans, instead of hanging out with Obama at the White House and partaking of Arugula and Wagyu Beef.

You want to know why folks like Sarah Palin, Mike Lee, and Ted Cruz are so popular with average, real-life Americans (as opposed to statistics in an anonymous poll)?

Check out the pictures from October 2013, of the Veterans March on Washington. They were there, GOPe. Why weren’t you?

It’s one thing to talk the talk. It’s another thing to walk the walk.

Until He Comes,

Al Jazeera America: More Anti-American Propaganda Coming Into Our Homes

aljazeeraAmericaI am sure that you have heard the name Al Jazeera, before

Al Jazeera (AJ), means “the peninsula” in Arabic. It is 24-hour, Arabic-language satellite TV news network based in Qatar, The station began programming on November 1, 1996, succeeding the Saudi-based BBC World Service Television (whose broadcasts also were in the Arabic language) had shut down its operations in reaction to the Saudi government’s efforts to censor the station.

The network was created using a $150 million grant from the Emir of Qatar, who, when he took over  in 1995, ended his country’s Ministry of Information; governmental bodies which are usually the source of media censorship in most Arab states. Pledging to let AJ “report the news as they see it,” the Emir, said in 1997:

I believe criticism can be a good thing, and some discomfort for government officials is a small price to pay for this new freedom.

AJ’s founding slogan was (and still is): “The opinion and the other opinion.”

When it began,Al Jazeera hired some 120 of the 250 employees who had worked for the closed BBC station. AJ created a stir among the censored Arab Nations because of its openness in criticizing Middle Eastern Leaders.

AJ’s criticisms of Eastern governments, however, are few and far between in contrast to the network’s railing and whining as pertains to the United States and Israel.

In fact,AJ treats Islamist terrorists, anti-Semites, and other fanatical foes of those two nations, as almost mythological heroes.

AJ’s newscasts and on-air discussions are propagandized to such an extent that it leads their mostly-Islamic audience to believe that  Jews, Israel, and Americans are the most heinous villains, infidels, and evil-doers one would ever come across in their lifetime.

And, guess what Americans? Now these Propagandists are going to have their own network here in the United States of America!

Of course, The New York Times speaks about the new Network in glowing terms…(You just have to love the naivete of the Liberal Dhimmis, don’t you?)

Fourteen hours of straight news every day. Hard-hitting documentaries. Correspondents in oft-overlooked corners of the country. And fewer commercials than any other news channel.

It sounds like something a journalism professor would imagine. In actuality, it is Al Jazeera America, the culmination of a long-held dream among the leaders of Qatar, the Middle Eastern emirate that already reaches most of the rest of the world with its Arabic- and English-language news channels. The new channel, created specifically for consumers in the United States, will join cable and satellite lineups on Tuesday afternoon.

Al Jazeera America is the most ambitious American television news venture since Rupert Murdoch and Roger Ailes started the Fox News Channel in 1996. It faces some of the same obstacles that Fox eventually glided over — including blanket skepticism about whether distributors, advertisers and viewers will give it a chance. But that is where the parallels to other channels end, because Al Jazeera America is going against the grain of seemingly every trend in television news.

“Viewers will see a news channel unlike the others, as our programming proves Al Jazeera America will air fact-based, unbiased and in-depth news,” said Ehab Al Shihabi, the channel’s acting chief executive, on a news conference call last week. He was explicit about what will be different, saying, “There will be less opinion, less yelling and fewer celebrity sightings.”

Mr. Al Shihabi and other Al Jazeera representatives say proprietary research supports their assertions that American viewers want a PBS-like news channel 24 hours a day. Originally the new channel was going to have an international bent; now its overseers emphasize how much American news it will cover and how many domestic bureaus it will have, which some see as an effort to appease skeptics.

Comparing Al Jazeera to Fox News?! Just how naive and un-American has the NYT become?

Don’t ask.

Propaganda, such as Al Jazeera will offer, is nothing new.

Joseph Goebbels became Adolf Hitler’s propaganda minister in 1933. This position bestowed power over all of Germany’s radio, press, cinema, and theater.

In 1925 Goebbels met the leader of the NAzi Party, Adolf Hitler. In 1926, he was made Gauleiter, or party leader, for the region of Berlin, In 1927 he founded and became editor of the official Nazi periodical Der Angriff (The Attack).

Goebbels was elected to the Reichstag, the German parliament, in 1928. By exploiting mob emotions and by employing all modern methods of propaganda Goebbels helped Hitler into power.

In the book, “Public Opinion and Propaganda; A Book of Readings edited for The Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues”, Leonard W. Doob wrote a chapter titled “Goebbels’ Principles of Propaganda”.

Here are some of those principles:

1. Propagandist must have access to intelligence concerning events and public opinion.

2. Propaganda must be planned and executed by only one authority.

a. It must issue all the propaganda directives.

b. It must explain propaganda directives to important officials and maintain their morale.

c. It must oversee other agencies’ activities which have propaganda consequences.

3. The propaganda consequences of an action must be considered in planning that action.

4. Propaganda must affect the enemy’s policy and action.

a. By suppressing propagandistically desirable material which can provide the enemy with useful intelligence.

b. By openly disseminating propaganda whose content or tone causes the enemy to draw the desired conclusions.

c. By goading the enemy into revealing vital information about himself.

d. By making no reference to a desired enemy activity when any reference would discredit that activity.

5. Declassified, operational information must be available to implement a propaganda campaign.

6. To be perceived, propaganda must evoke the interest of an audience and must be transmitted through an attention-getting communications medium.

Al Jazeera’s purpose in coming to America is to promote Islam, obfuscate known facts, undermine Americans’ Patriotism, and propagandize the evil committed by Islamic Terrorism.

Propaganda is a very effective tool, used by evil, barbaric men. to lower the defenses of the naive among us.

Make no mistake about it.

If you don’t believe me, ask a Holocaust Survivor…or go to Egypt and ask a Coptic Christian…before they have all been slaughtered.

Forewarned is forearmed. Stay vigilant, Americans.

“Arab Spring” in August…”Smart Power”, Indeed.

obamabowIn December of 1985, five U.S. citizens were murdered in simultaneous Islamic terrorist attacks at the Rome and Vienna airports. Upon finding out that Libyan Despot Muammar al-Qaddafi was behind the attacks, U.S. President Ronald Reagan ordered expanded sanctions against Libya and froze Libyan assets in the United States. On March 24, 1986, U.S. and Libyan forces clashed in the Gulf of Sidra, and four Libyan attack boats were sunk. Then, on April 5, terrorists bombed a West Berlin dance hall known to be frequented by U.S. servicemen. One U.S. serviceman and a Turkish woman were killed, and more than 200 people were wounded, including 50 other U.S. servicemen. U.S. intelligence actually intercepted radio messages sent from Libya to its diplomats in East Berlin ordering the April 5 attack on the LaBelle discotheque.

On April 14, 1986, President Reagan ordered air strikes against Libya in retaliation for their sponsorship of terrorism against American troops and citizens. The raid, which began shortly before 7 p.m. EST (2 a.m., April 15 in Libya), involved more than 100 U.S. Air Force and Navy aircraft, and was over within an hour. Five military targets and “terrorism centers” were hit, including the headquarters of Libyan leader Muammar al-Qaddafi.

In fact, the rumor was, we fired a Stinger Missile right into Qaddafi’s bedroom.

After this, Qaddafi left us alone and kept his mouth shut for 25 years. All it took to make the sponsor of Muslim Terrorism to back down was a show of strength and a United States President who was not afraid to use our military might in defense of our country.

Fast forward to today…

In the midst of new revelations about the horrible night of September 11, 2012 at the U.S. Embassy Compound in Benghazi, Libya, Obama and his Administration announced yesterday that

The United States will temporarily shut down its embassies and consulates around the world Sunday — including those in Iraq, Afghanistan and Egypt — as a precautionary measure over terror-related concerns, State Department officials said.

State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf did not say how long the international installations would stay closed — only that the decision was taken “out of an abundance of caution and care for our employees and others who may be visiting.” Officials would not describe the nature of the threat.

Sunday is a normal workday in many Arab and Middle Eastern countries, meaning that is where the closures will have an impact. Embassies in Europe and Latin America would be shuttered that day anyway.

“We have instructed all U.S. embassies and consulates that would have normally been open on Sunday to suspend operations, specifically on August 4,” a senior State Department official said Thursday night. “It is possible we may have additional days of closing as well.”

Other U.S. officials said the threat was specifically in the Muslim world.

Additionally…

The Department of State alerts U.S. citizens to the continued potential for terrorist attacks, particularly in the Middle East and North Africa, and possibly occurring in or emanating from the Arabian Peninsula. Current information suggests that al-Qa’ida and affiliated organizations continue to plan terrorist attacks both in the region and beyond, and that they may focus efforts to conduct attacks in the period between now and the end of August. This Travel Alert expires on August 31, 2013.

Terrorists may elect to use a variety of means and weapons and target both official and private interests. U.S. citizens are reminded of the potential for terrorists to attack public transportation systems and other tourist infrastructure. Terrorists have targeted and attacked subway and rail systems, as well as aviation and maritime services. U.S. citizens should take every precaution to be aware of their surroundings and to adopt appropriate safety measures to protect themselves when traveling.

We continue to work closely with other nations on the threat from international terrorism, including from al-Qa’ida. Information is routinely shared between the U.S. and our key partners in order to disrupt terrorist plotting, identify and take action against potential operatives, and strengthen our defenses against potential threats.

Funny…after the Benghazi attack, Obama, is a series of Campaign Speeches, said at least 32 times, that al Qa’ida was “decimated”. Gosh, a U.S. president wouldn’t lie to the American people just to get re-elected, would he?

Does it take Moochelle two trips to haul…well…you know?

Instead of a show of strength against the murderous barbarians who want to kill us Infidels, Obama has embraced them, stating that he will stand with the Muslims “should the winds blow in an ugly direction”.

Courtesy of theblaze.com and the Investigative Project on Terrorism, here are some of the “guests” who Obama and his Administration have welcomed into OUR House:

  • Hussam Ayloush, Executive Director of CAIR’s Los Angeles Office: Has called Israel’s treatment of Palestinians “borderline genocidal,” and says Romney has “blind servitude” to Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu. He attended two White House meetings.
  • Louay Safi, Former Executive Director of the Islamic Society of North America: Worked at Fort Hood prior to the 2009 terrorist attack, and was suspended shortly thereafter. Said we must be “sympathetic” to those “fighting for freedom” in Palestine, and that we must be “against the occupiers and the oppressors.” He attended two White House meetings.
  • Esam Omeish, former head of the Muslim-American Society: Former head of an organization created by the Muslim Brotherhood, Omeish is one of the most radical in the group. The IPT writes that he personally hired radical cleric Anwar al-Awlaki in 2000 to head a Virginia mosque, and publicly mourned an airstrike that killed one of the founders of Hamas in 2004. He has visited the White House three times.
  • Muzammil Siddiqi, former head of the Islamic Society of North America: Said in a 2001 article for the San Francisco Chronicle that he does not support violence against gays, but supports laws in countries where homosexuality is punishable by death. Siddiqi had one meeting at the White House in 2010.
  • Mohamed Elibiary, Homeland Security Council: Spoke at a conference in 2004 honoring Iran’s Ayatollah Khomeni as a “great Islamic visionary;” condemned the prosecution of Hamas fundraisers in the United States; defends Sayyid Qutb, who Osama bin Laden cited as one of his main influences; accused of leaking documents to prove Islamophobia, and damage Texas Gov. Rick Perry. Invited to help craft Obama’s counterterrorism strategy in 2010.
  • Muslim Public Affairs Council Leaders: Representatives from the Muslim Public Affairs Council have visited the White House far more than the other groups, at least one of its leaders logging 24 visits between December 2009 and March 2012. They said Hezbollah’s 1983 attack on U.S. Marine Barracks– which killed 241 people– was not “in a strict sense, a terrorist operation,” and that it would have been praised had it been directed against Washington’s enemies. Founder Salam al-Marayati said in 2005 that “Counter-terrorism and counter-violence should be defined by us.” Often push the narrative that the U.S. is waging a war on Islam, conflating legitimate terrorism concerns with Islamophobia. President Obama personally called one of the organization’s leaders, Haris Tarin, to congratulate him for his “community engagement.”

Under his failed Foreign Policy of Smart Power!, Obama has put the entire Free World, including the country he swore to protect from “enemies foreign and domestic” in danger from barbarians, who will do and say anything to further their “Holy Jihad”.

President Theodore Roosevelt’s famous quote, when speaking about how to deal with your enemies, was

Speak softly and carry a big stick.

Obama has thrown our “Big Stick” upon the fires of Arab Spring.
