Obama releases 36,000 Criminals (Who Just Happen to Be Illegal Aliens)

ibamaillegalimmigration

When I turned on the news this morning, I was greeted with the image of President Barack Hussein Obama, pleading with Congress to pass Amnesty, in order to get people who “are our neighbors’ “out of the shadows”.

Heck, after you read the reasearch I’ve done, you will want to join me in Frog-Marching a bunch of the “noble men and women” back across the border.

On April 24, 2010, I wrote a Blog titled simply, “For Mr. Krentz”, detailing the murder of Arizona Rancher Robert Krentz by an illegal alien…

Police say Robert Krentz, whose family has been ranching in southern Arizona since 1907, was gunned down early Saturday morning, March 27th, 2010, by an illegal immigrant while out on his ATV tending to fences and water lines on the family’s 34,000-acre cattle ranch.

Reached by phone early Tuesday at his family’s ranch, Andy Krentz, Krentz’s oldest son, said his father was a churchgoing man who routinely went out of his way to help those in need.

“My father was a very good family man,” Krentz told FoxNews.com. “He supported his kids, supported his family. He went out of his way to help anybody we could without regarding to who they were.  It didn’t matter who they were.”

Sue Krentz, Krentz’s wife, said she was “pretty overwhelmed” by her husband’s death, which coincided with her parents’ deteriorating health.

“This is icing on the cake,” Krentz said.

Yes, it was.  The public outcry was deafening.

Gov. Jan Brewer signed into law Friday, April 23rd, 2010, a bill supporters said would take handcuffs off police in dealing with illegal immigration in Arizona, the nation’s busiest gateway for human and drug smuggling from Mexico. With hundreds of protesters outside the state Capitol shouting that the bill would lead to civil rights abuses, Brewer said critics were “overreacting” and that she wouldn’t tolerate racial profiling.

“We in Arizona have been more than patient waiting for Washington to act,” Brewer said after signing the law. “But decades of inaction and misguided policy have created a dangerous and unacceptable situation.”

Thank you, Gov. Brewer.  I wish it had been earlier.  A  good man lost his life due to government neglience and political correctness.  So, what did the President of the United States say about this horrible situtation?  Did he comfort Mr. Krentz’s family?  Did he congratulate Arizona for cracking down on Illegal Immigration?  Are you kidding me?

“Our failure to act responsibly at the federal level will only open the door to irresponsibility by others,” Obama said at a Rose Garden naturalization ceremony for 24 members of the U.S. military. “That includes, for example, the recent efforts in Arizona.”

The actions by the Arizona legislature threaten “to undermine basic notions of fairness that we cherish as Americans,” Obama said. It also may hamper trust between residents and law enforcement authorities, he said.

He said he has instructed U.S. authorities to monitor the state’s actions and to “examine the civil rights and other implications” of the legislation.

And, Obama and his Administration have fought every state which has tried to do something about our nation’s “Illegal Alien Problem”, since.

Of course, the murder of Mr. Krentz was “just another isolated incident”, right?

Wrong.

Per usillegalaliens.com,

  • In Los Angeles, 95% of some 1,500 outstanding warrants for homicides are for illegal aliens. About 67% of the 17,000 outstanding fugitive felony warrants are for illegal aliens.
  • There are currently over 400,000 unaccounted for illegal alien criminals with outstanding deportation orders. At least one fourth of these are hard core criminals.
  • 80,000 to 100,000 illegal aliens who have been convicted of serious crimes are walking the streets. Based on studies they will commit an average of 13 serious crimes per perpetrator.
  • Illegal aliens are involved in criminal activities at a rate that is 2-5 times their representative proportion of the population.
  • In 1980, our Federal and state facilities held fewer than 9,000 criminal aliens but at the end of 2003, approximately 267,000 illegal aliens were incarcerated in U.S. correctional facilities at a cost of about $6.8 billion per year.
  • At least 4.5 million pounds of cocaine with a street value of at least $72 billion is smuggled across the southern border every year. ..
  • 56% of illegal aliens charged with a reentry offense had previously been convicted on at least 5 prior occasions.
  • Illegal aliens charged with unlawful reentry had the most extensive criminal histories. 90% had been previously arrested. Of those with a prior arrest, 50% had been arrested for violent or drug-related felonies.
  • Illegal aliens commit between 700,000 to 1,289,000 or more crimes per year.
  • Illegal aliens commit at least 2,158 murders each year – a number that represents three times greater participation than their proportion of the population.
  • Illegal alien sexual predators commit an estimated 130,909 sexual crimes each year.
  • There may be as many as 240,000 illegal alien sex offenders circulating throughout America. Based on studies, they will commit an average of 8 sex crimes per perpetrator before being caught.
  • Nearly 63% of illegal alien sex offenders had been deported on another offense prior to committing the sex crime.
  • Only 2% of the illegal alien sex offenders in one study had no history of criminal behavior, beyond crossing the border illegally.
  • In Operation Predator, ICE arrested and deported 6,085 illegal alien pedophiles. Some studies suggest each pedophile molests average of 148 children. If so, that could be as many as 900,580 victims.
  • Nobody knows how big the Sex Slave problem is but it is enormous.
  • The very brutal MS-13 gang has over 15,000 members and associates in at least 115 different cliques in 33 states.
  • The overall financial impact of illegal alien crimes is estimated at between $14.4 and $81 billion or more per year. Factor in the crime as a result of the cocaine and other drugs being smuggled in and the number may reach $150 billion per year.

Meanwhile, Obama and his DOJ, instead of trying to curtail the problem of Illegal Aliens  commiting crimes after breaking in to our country, released more of these criminals back onto our streets.

Breitbart.com reports that

Texas Republican Rep. Lamar Smith reacted harshly to a new report detailing the crimes committed by 36,007 criminal immigrants that Immigration and Customs Enforcement released last year.

“This would be considered the worst prison break in American history, except it was sanctioned by the President and perpetrated by our own immigration officials. These criminal immigrants should have been deported to ensure that they could never commit crimes on U.S. soil. But instead, ICE officials chose not to detain them and instead released them back onto American streets,” Smith said in a statement Monday.

An internal Department of Homeland Security document obtained by the Center for Immigration Studies, a limited immigration group, and shared with Breitbart News Monday revealed that last year ICE released 36,007 criminal immigrants who had nearly 88,000 convictions.

The document further broke down the crimes and number of convictions – including 193 homicide convictions, 426 sexual assault convictions, 303 kidnapping convictions, and 1,075 aggravated assault convictions.

CIS detailed the document’s findings in a report Monday morning, explaining that ICE prepared the document in response to congressional inquiries seeking additional information about the number of criminal aliens released into the United States and the crimes for which they were convicted.

Smith was one of the members of Congress who pressed DHS for these answers.

The congressman actually did receive a response from DHS earlier this year explaining that ICE did release 36,007 criminal aliens. DHS also included a breakdown of the kinds of offenses but did not include the number of offenses per type of crime.

“Obama administration officials want the American people to think these individuals were guilty of minor, petty offenses,” Smith said. “But the convictions tell a chilling story. Among those released were criminal immigrants convicted of murder, rape, kidnapping, drunk driving, and aggravated assault.”

The Texas congressman added that immigration reform should be off the table until laws currently on the books are enforced.

“There should be no discussion of reforming our nation’s immigration laws until the President enforces the laws currently on the books. The safety of the American people should be the President’s top priority. We need a President who follows the law and deports criminal immigrants who violate our laws and endanger our lives.”

Unfortunately, Rep. Smith, that is not going to happen anytime soon. Obama and his political party, the Democrats, see potential voters, to be added to their roll through Amnesty.

What’s worse, the Establishment, or Vichy, Republicans naively think that, if they support pardoning those who are in our country illegally, the pardoned lawbreakers will forget about the Democrats, who give out free stuff, via taxpayer-funded programs, and vote for them.

Can this whole Illegal Alien/Amnesty Fiasco get any sleazier…and more dangerous?

(Don’t forget…these are professional politicians we are talking about.)

It can…and, it will.

Ryan Meets With Schumer to Discuss Illegal Immigration Surrender Terms

Illegal ImmigrationYesterday, I hurled. Why? I read the following story….

Democratic Sen. Chuck Schumer has held private talks on immigration with Republican Reps. Paul Ryan and Trey Gowdy. President Barack Obama’s emissaries have spoken with House GOP leadership about an overhaul. Speaker John Boehner and Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi have also chatted on the House floor about immigration.

It sometimes seems like House Republicans are in their own universe when it comes to rewriting the nation’s immigration laws. But since late last year, key House Republicans have been meeting with House and Senate Democrats as they try to reach a deal.

The talks haven’t led to any agreement on hugely controversial issues like a pathway to citizenship for the estimated 11.7 million undocumented immigrants in the United States. But they provide a window into the urgency — and high stakes — surrounding the immigration reform debate.

These are far from formal negotiations, and essentially amount to private information trading between Capitol power players.

But the sideline chats illustrate that House Republicans — long skittish about tackling the hot-button issue — aren’t exactly acting in a vacuum. Even if Senate Democrats don’t have a seat at the House Republican table, they have an idea where the chamber is heading. Cross-party and cross-chamber talks — no matter how limited the scope — show leading figures in both parties are serious about finding common ground. But it’s not clear whether these quiet discussions will lead to a breakthrough.

A “breakthrough”? More like a BETRAYAL.

The brilliant American Economist and Conservative Pundit (who just happens to be black), Dr. Thomas Sowell, asks some pertinent questions and makes some provocative pronouncements concerning the recent actions of the Vichy Republicans.

When it comes to national elections, just what principles do the Republicans stand for? It is hard to think of any, other than their hoping to win elections by converting themselves into Democrats lite. But voters who want what the Democrats offer can vote for the real thing, rather than Johnny-come-lately imitations.

Listening to discussions of immigration laws and proposals to reform them is like listening to something out of “Alice in Wonderland.”

Immigration laws are the only laws that are discussed in terms of how to help people who break them. One of the big problems that those who are pushing “comprehensive immigration reform” want solved is how to help people who came here illegally and are now “living in the shadows” as a result.

Is liberty on life support for good? There is hope … read Manny Edwards’ book “The Truth About Liberty: How the Tea Party Can Save America”

What about embezzlers or burglars who are “living in the shadows” in fear that someone will discover their crimes? Why not “reform” the laws against embezzlement or burglary, so that such people can also come out of the shadows?

Almost everyone seems to think that we need to solve the problem of the children of illegal immigrants, because these children are here “through no fault of their own.” Do people who say that have any idea how many millions of children are living in dire poverty in India, Africa or other places “through no fault of their own,” and would be better off living in the United States?

Do all children have some inherent right to live in America if they have done nothing wrong? If not, then why should the children of illegal immigrants have such a right?

More fundamentally, why do the American people not have a right to the protection that immigration laws provide people in other countries around the world – including Mexico, where illegal immigrants from other countries get no such special treatment as Mexico and its American supporters are demanding for illegal immigrants in the United States?

By now, any Liberals reading this blog are yelling at their computer monitor, “Leave these poor, “undocumented workers” alone. Their presence in this country is not harming anybody!”

Ummm…wrong. As in this case and others, including that of murdered Arizona Rancher Robert Krentz, horribly, tragically wrong.

ABC News has the story:

A 19-year-old Oregon woman who drove an SUV into a leaf pile, accidentally killing two young girls playing in it, has been taken into federal custody and may face deportation.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement said on Monday that Cinthya Garcia-Cisneros is being placed in removal proceedings and will be held at a detention center in Tacoma while she awaits a bond hearing before an immigration judge.

“The immigration judge will determine whether or not Ms. Garcia-Cisneros remains in detention for the duration of her immigration case,” ICE spokesman Andrew Munoz said in a statement.

Garcia-Cisneros was sentenced to three years of probation and 250 hours of community service on Friday. A jury found the woman guilty of two counts of felony hit-and-run earlier this month.

Prosecutors said the crash on Oct. 20 in Forest Grove, 25 miles west of Portland, was an accident. But they say the teen failed to come forward after learning she might have struck the children in the leaf pile, which was on the street. Police found her the following day.

Authorities said the two girls — later identified as stepsisters, 6-year-old Anna Dieter-Eckerdt and 11-year-old Abigail Robinson — were likely concealed by the leaves and not visible to Garcia-Cisneros.

Anna died at the scene. Abigail died later at a Portland hospital.

Back in May of 2010, shorty after I started this Blog, in April of that year, a young man named Benito posted a comment. Benito was an Amnesty Advocate, as the Vichy Republicans, including Paul Ryan, and the US Chamber of Commerce, are now.

To summarize today’s article, I am re-posting my reply to Benito because what I wrote back then, applies to the current push for Amnesty by the Democrats, the Vichy Republicans and the US Chamber of Commerce, as well…

Benito, I approved your comment to ask you a few questions. First, you write very well. Next, a few questions. What part of the word “illegal” do you not understand? What makes the current influx of illegal immigrants exempt from the rules and regulations that every other generation of immigrants to this country had to abide by in order to become legal citizens of the greatest nation in the world? By being here illegally, you are not entitled to the same rights as natural-born or naturalized American citizens. You are no better than someone who breaks into someone’s home, does their dishes, cuts their yard, cleans their house, and then helps themselves to their food and drives their car without asking. This is in no way a human rights issue. Freedom is God-given. And with freedom comes responsibility. With citizenship comes responsibility, like paying taxes and making your own way. Illegal immigration reminds me of the amorous boyfriend who wants everything a young woman will give him, but will leave her at the first mention of marriage. I wish you no ill, amigo, but understand this: This is not a civil rights issue. Illegals do not have the same rights as American Citizens. With our rights, come the responsibilities of being an American citizen. The Mexican flag, by protocol, will always be flown in a subordinate position to the American Flag in this country. And, the American Dialect of the English language is the language spoken in this country.

Vaya con Dios.

Have Illegal Aliens “Earned” Anything At all, Except a Trip Back to Mexico?

obamaillegalimmigrationThe last bipartisan U.S. Commission on Immigration Reform wrangled with that hot topic for six years. President Clinton appointed former congresswoman and Democratic icon Barbara Jordan as its chair. Jordan came from humble beginnings to become a lawyer and the first Southern black woman elected to the House of Representatives. A DEMOCRAT, she was a leader in the civil rights movement, a professor of ethics, a recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, and a world-class orator (two of her speeches are considered among the greatest of the 20th century). Her appointment gave the commission instant credibility. According to Jordan, she believed her responsibility as the head of the commission was to restore credibility to the U.S. immigration system. On the issue of illegal immigration, Jordan was very clear and succinct:

Unlawful immigration is unacceptable. Those who should not be here will be required to leave.

I wonder what she would think about this?

The New York Times reports that…

House Republicans are preparing to unveil their own broad template for overhauling the nation’s immigration system this week, potentially offering a small opening for President Obama and congressional Democrats to pass bipartisan legislation before the end of the year.

Speaker John A. Boehner of Ohio and other Republican leaders are expected to release a one-page statement of immigration principles this week at their annual retreat in Cambridge, Md., according to aides with knowledge of the plan. The document is expected to call for border security and enforcement measures, as well as providing a path to legal status — but not citizenship — for many of the 11 million undocumented immigrants in the country, the aides said.

The Republican effort comes as Mr. Obama is expected to push once again for an overhaul of the immigration system in his State of the Union address Tuesday, and as lawmakers from both parties describe immigration as one of the few potential areas for bipartisan compromise before the end of the current Congress.

“The principles they lay out I’m sure won’t satisfy everybody,” Michael R. Bloomberg, former mayor of New York City, said at an immigration forum on Friday. But, he added, “if we can make some compromises here for the good of the country, I think we have a very good chance for the first time in a long time of changing something that is really damaging all of us.”

The Senate, led by Democrats, passed a broad bipartisan measure in June to overhaul immigration that included a 13-year path to citizenship. But the legislation stalled in the Republican-controlled House, where some of the party’s more conservative members oppose any form of legal status as “amnesty.”

But heading into the three-day Republican retreat, even some of the most ardent conservatives say consensus is forming around an immigration package that would include several separate bills on border security; a clampdown against the hiring of undocumented workers; expanded guest-worker programs; a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants brought to the country as children; and a path to legal status for undocumented workers with family ties to citizens or employer sponsors.

The White House has said it wants a path to citizenship for both children and adults in any new immigration legislation.

If you believe the Vichy Republicans have lost their collective mind, you ain’t heard nothin’ yet…

Speaking at the United States Conference of Mayors on Friday, Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said the approximately 11 million people who are in the country illegally have “earned the right to be citizens.”

“An earned path to citizenship for those currently present in this country is a matter of, in my view, homeland security to encourage people to come out from the shadows,” said Johnson, in what he remarked was one of his first public speeches since being confirmed as the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) chief in December.

“It is also, frankly, in my judgment, a matter of who we are as Americans,” he said, “to offer the opportunity to those who want to be citizens, who’ve earned the right to be citizens, who are present in this country–many of whom came here as children–to have the opportunity that we all have to try to become American citizens.”

“Earned it”? Allow me to explain the fallacy of your argument to you, Secretary Johnson…

Let’s pretend I broke into your house.  When you discover me there, you insist I leave.  But I say, “I’ve made all the beds, washed the dishes, did the laundry, and cleaned the floors; I’ve done all the work you don’t like to do. I’m hardworking and honest (except for breaking into your house). Not only must you let me stay, you must also add me to your insurance plan, educate my kids, and provide these benefits to my husband, too (he will do your yardwork, he’s honest and hardworking too–except for that breaking in part). If you try to force me out, I will call my friends who will picket your house and proclaim my right to be there! It’s only fair, because you have a nicer house than I do, and I’m trying to better myself. I’m hardworking and honest…except for, well, you know. I will live in your house, contributing only a fraction of the cost of my keep, and there is nothing you can do about it without being accused of selfishness and prejudice.

Oh yeah, I want you to learn my language so you can communicate with me.

Good plan..don’t you think?

Is this a behavior we should be rewarding?

What makes the current influx of illegal immigrants exempt from the rules and regulations that every other generation of immigrants to this country had to abide by in order to become legal citizens of the greatest nation in the world? By being here illegally, they are not entitled to the same rights as natural-born or naturalized American citizens.

And, yet, even as I write this, they are in our hospitals, taking advantage of our charity and the finest health care system in the world, and driving our streets, with either forged drivers licenses or those obtained from states who have acquiesced and given them to these “undocumented workers”.

This is in no way a human rights issue. Freedom is God-given, and with freedom comes responsibility. With citizenship comes responsibility, like paying taxes and making your own way.

My concerns about this whole “Path to Citizenship” business, can be divded into three bullet points. (Hey, I’m a VP of Marketing. What do you expect?)

1. Patriotism – Will these new “citizens” be willing to fly our flag above theirs? Will they be willing, if called upon, to serve in our Armed Forces, at home or abroad? Will they love this country, more than the one they left?

2. Loyalty – When these “new Americans” achieve the right to vote, are they all going to vote Democrat, so that they can receive more FREE STUFF? Is the Republican Party shooting themselves in both feet by pushing an outcome which will simply add new Democratic Voters? As I asked in the first point, will they honestly embrace our sovereign nation as their new home? Or, will they remain loyal to Mexico?

3.  Immigration – Are we rewarding illegal behavior, while at the same time, insulting all of the brave souls who have come here legally, seeking a better life for themselves and their families?

I understand that people want a better life for themselves and their children.  We are all immigrants in this land, except for American Indians, and they got here by crossing the Bering Straight.  But there is a huge difference between immigrating here legally and sneaking in illegally, between assimilating into an existing culture, and insisting on replacing a country’s existing culture with that of the country you left.

I’m all for assisting anyone in becoming a legal citizen of the United States, if that is their wish.  But, it must be done the right way, and they must accept responsibility for their illegal entry, show a willingness to learn our language, and embrace our American way of life, including respecting the American Flag.

So, let’s take this one step at a time.  Secure our borders.  Enforce the anti-illegal immigration laws.  And if the Federal Government won’t, the states, like Arizona, will have to pass their own laws.  America became a great nation because it is a melting pot of American-born and legally-immigrated citizens with a shared allegiance, not a multi-cultural United Nations with everyone loyal to their home country.

A wide-open Southern Border is as big a threat to the sovereignty of the United States as anything that our enemies can throw at us right now.  All of OUR SERVANTS, up on Capitol HIll, need to quit playing political games.  The safety of America is at stake .  SECURE THE BORDER NOW.

As Obamacare Implodes, Obama Pivots to Amnesty

ibamaillegalimmigrationNow that President Barack Hussein Obama (mm mmm mmmm) has “handled” the catastrophe known as the Launch of Obamacare by giving another speech, he has made one of his world-famous pivots to another one of the goals of his Presidency: amnesty for those who have broken the laws of our nation by entering our country illegally.

According to sources of thehill.com, White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough met with business leaders and associations on Thursday afternoon to talk about how to handle the situation which they euphemistically refer to as “immigration reform”, i.e. creating new Democrat Voters.

The meeting with business and association leaders, including the Chamber of Commerce, comes hours after President Obama spoke on the hot-button issue at the White House. Attendees include Aric Newhouse, the senior vice president for policy and government relations at the National Association of Manufacturers and Bruce Josten, executive vice president for government affairs at the Chamber of Commerce.

It is unclear if Obama attended the meeting.

A White House official said the meeting is “intended to continue conversations with folks — inside and outside the government — supportive of advancing common-sense immigration reform. This is a top priority for the president and we’ll continue to do everything we can to get this done.”

Earlier in the day, Obama urged Congress to pass immigration reform and applied pressure to House Republicans, saying it was up to them “whether this becomes a reality or not.”

“This is not just an idea whose time has come; this is an idea whose time has been around for years now,” Obama said. “It’s good for our economy. It’s good for our national security. It’s good for our people, and we should do it this year.”

“This is the moment when we should be able to finally get the job done,” Obama said, before adding that “good policy is good politics in this instance.”

I have a hard time fathoming why the U.S. Chamber of Commerce has joined this battle on the side of the Administration, an Administration who wants to turn our capitalistic country into a socialist paradise. Is it because some of their more powerful member corporations need fresh, cheap labor?

I don’t know whether it is misguided altruism…or just plain ol’ avarice.

Either way, they have, quite deservedly, caught flack over their support of the Administration in this issue,.

If any Republican House Members join the gullible traitors in the Senate, like Rubio, McCain, and his pet dog, Graham, in voting for this “get out of jail FREE card”, I hope they have a trade to fall back on, Because, they will be primaried in 2014, and sent packing.

A couple of years back, the following allegorical story went viral.  You may have seen this already, but it explains illegal immigration as succinctly as anything I have come across:

I understand that people want a better life for themselves and their children.  We are all immigrants in this land, except for American Indians, and they got here by crossing the Bering Straight.  But there is a huge difference between immigrating here legally and sneaking in illegally, between assimilating into an existing culture, and insisting on replacing a country’s existing culture with that of the country you left.

Former Texas Democratic Representative Barbara Jordan was a big believer in assimilation. During her time on Capitol Hill, she chaired the US Commission on Immigration Reform.

In their 1997 Report, which they dedicated to Rep. Jordan, published after her passing, they wrote the following principles:

We believe these truths constitute the distinctive characteristics of American nationality:

*American unity depends upon a widely held belief in the principles and values embodied in the American Constitution and their fulfillment in practice: equal protection and justice under the law; freedom of speech and religion; and representative government;

*Lawfully admitted newcomers of any ancestral nationality—without regard to race, ethnicity, or religion—truly become Americans when they give allegiance to these principles and values;

*Ethnic and religious diversity based on personal freedom is compatible with national unity; and

*The nation is strengthened when those who live in it communicate effectively with each other in English, even as many persons retain or acquire the ability to communicate in other languages.

As long as we live by these principles and help newcomers to learn and practice them, we will continue to be a nation that benefits from substantial but well-regulated immigration.

The great Michelle Malkin added,

Those principles have been abandoned, scorned, and sabotaged. You have not heard an iota about them from Washington. It is the erosion of Americanization and the ascendancy of the collectivists that helped create the conditions for Election Day.

Amnesty instead of assimilation is a recipe for even greater GOP losses at the ballot box.

Amnesty instead of assimilation is a recipe for the furtherance of American decline.

Make no mistake. The motives of the politicians who are pushing for amnesty are strictly self-serving. They believe that they can “buy” the votes of illegal aliens.

The Vichy Republicans are once again going against the wishes of the Conservative Base. They are hoping to replace us with these “new citizens”.

They are going to be severely disappointed. Illegal aliens are already gaming our system. What makes the Vichy Republicans believe that they will not give them the shaft, as well?

I’m all for assisting anyone in becoming a legal citizen of the United States, if that is their wish.  But, it must be done the right way, and they must accept responsibility for their illegal entry, show a willingness to learn our language, and embrace our American way of life, including respecting the American Flag.

You cannot buy Patriotism.

Obama and the Vichy Republicans

McCainObamaNews came out yesterday, that President Barack Hussein Obama’s (mm mmm mmmm) popularity had dropped to 41% in the polls. Now, just when Americans are finally waking up to the Manchurian President, he is about to be bailed out…by the “Maverick” and his merry band of Vichy Republicans.

“We have been looking literally for years for someone we can cut deals with, and finally someone has stepped up,” a White House official said. West Wing aides say they now talk with McCain roughly every other day.

McCain, to hear fellow Republicans tell it, has finally found The Two he has needed to make such conversations worth the bother: Sen. Chuck Schumer, a Democrat who can actually get things done in the Senate, and Denis McDonough, a White House chief of staff who actually cares what senators say and think and do.

While Obama and party leaders clash endlessly and hopelessly, these three men are showing it is possible to put aside political and personal grievances to get consequential stuff done, even in Washington’s currently twisted state.

They would never say it this way, but more often than not, they do it by going around those party leaders — their bosses — who seem stuck in fights they will never be able to end.

This new alliance has resulted in an immigration bill and a deal to avoid the nuclear option for confirming nominees, and is in preliminary conversations to avert a government shutdown over the budget. It has created trust — tenuous but real — among these three officials (and others) who can deliver results.

The House no doubt will kill most or all of their compromises. But three men from the three power centers talking, much less agreeing, is something this city hasn’t seen in the Obama years.

The return of McCain the Maverick rankles many Republicans, but he can reliably count on seven to 10 GOP senators to back him, including Sens. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, and Bob Corker and Lamar Alexander of Tennessee.

Isn’t it nice to know that we can always count on good ol’ Maverick and his pet dog, Grahamnesty to stab us in the back, y’all?

But wait, they’re not the only members of the Vichy Republican Brigade…There is their Fearless Leader, Mr. Speaker. But, hey, at least the Libs over at slate.com speak of Cryin’ John in glowing terms…

In an interview on “Face the Nation” on Sunday, Boehner said his job was not to dictate to Republican members what legislation they should support but merely to “facilitate” a process where they found their own outcome. He didn’t dare offer an opinion about comprehensive immigration reform because it would interfere. “It’s not about me,” the speaker told Bob Schieffer. “It’s not about what I want. What I’ve committed to, when I became speaker, was to a more open and fair process. And as difficult as this issue is, me taking a hard position for or against some of these issues will make it harder for us to get a bill … If I come out and say, ‘I’m for this’ and ‘I’m for that,’ all I’m doing is making my job harder.”

…Boehner’s constraints are self-imposed. He could make a deal with Democrats to pass immigration reform, and he has done that before on the fiscal cliff deal, the Violence Against Women Act, and Hurricane Sandy relief funding. But those issues were not as volatile in Republican ranks as immigration and did not risk a conservative crack-up. If he cut a deal, would he lose his speakership? There would have to be a viable alternative candidate who wanted to herd the cats. But even if he retained the job, that kind of crack-up would make passing bills, which will require cajoling the same conservatives, that much harder.

There has been a lot of speculation on whether Boehner will stick to the so-called Hastert Rule, allowing no bill to come to the floor unless it can pass with a majority of the majority. He has said he will not break this promise. That may be his heart’s true desire, but we can’t really know right now. Boehner understands that the more Democrats think he needs them for passage of a comprehensive bill, the more they’ll demand from him. So even if Boehner were planning on passing immigration reform with a minority of his party, he will maintain his firm stance on the Hastert Rule until the very last minute.

In the end, the question is not whether John Boehner is a leader. He is—he’s just a leader with modest ambitions. In the study of House speakers, the debate splits along lines familiar to presidential observers. Presidents are either “at liberty … to be as big a man as he can,” as Woodrow Wilson wrote when he was a Princeton political science professor. Or presidents are circumscribed by the political conditions they face, as Wilson discovered when he actually had the job. In congressional studies, the split is over whether a speaker is merely an agent carrying out the will of his conference or whether a powerful speaker can make his own weather.

At a time when the current president is going down in flames, instead of roasting marshmallows over the bonfire, Vichy Republicans are “reaching across the aisle” to help save the Prevaricator-in-Chief.

These RINOs are so consumed by their avarice and quest to be just like their Democratic allies, that they have forgotten why they were elected in the first place. If their constituents had wanted to elect Democrats, they would have pulled the lever marked “DEMOCRAT”.

It’s time for Maverick, Grahamnesty, Cryin’ John, and the rest of the GOP Elite girly-men to put their big boy pants on, and do the job they were elected to do: work for the betterment of this country, not for its destruction at the hands of Barack Hussein Obama. He’s doing fine with that…all by his lonesome.

And, as I’ve said before, if the Vichy Republicans think that the new “Americans” they’re creating will actually vote for them, replacing us worrisome members of the Conservative Base, I have two bridges over the Mississippi River at Memphisa to sell them.

And, in the spirit of the nickname I’ve given them, and the courage they are showing, I will throw in two French Rifles from World War II….dropped once…never fired.

Obama, Amnesty, and Vichy Republicans

ibamaillegalimmigrationWell, the President of the United States is taking his show on the road, again. Unfortunately though, he is not traveling out of the country, he is coming to see us.

Ol’ Scooter is still all wee-wee’d up by the possibility of creating millions of new Democratic Voters by signing into law the Senate Gang of 8’s Amnesty Bill.

According to The Wall Street Journal,

Mr. Obama likely will travel in the coming months to some of the battleground states he won with the help of a robust Latino vote—possibly including Nevada, New Mexico, Colorado and Florida—to argue the economic case for passing the immigration overhaul. He will also try to convince reticent Republican lawmakers that the GOP’s viability as a national party with aspirations of winning back the White House is linked to the fate of the bill, White House officials said.

Mr. Obama’s strategy carries personal risks as well. Should he take on a partisan tone, he may antagonize House Republicans and scuttle a bill that is the centerpiece of his second-term agenda, feeding perceptions that he is a lame duck.

On immigration, Mr. Obama played a largely behind-the-scenes role as the bill worked its way through the Senate, with his aides providing technical assistance and giving quiet advice to lawmakers. With the action moving to the House, the White House is devising a new strategy to push the bill through a chamber that is more resistant to the prospect of a path to citizenship for the 11 million people living in the U.S. illegally.

…As he travels to presidential swing states, Mr. Obama won’t attempt to pressure particular House members, but rather underscore the point that the GOP must improve its standing among Latino voters if it hopes to win presidential races down the road, White House officials said.

He will go to “areas that Republicans hope to do better in and need to do better in,” one White House official said.

Another of Mr. Obama’s imperatives is ensuring the momentum created by the Senate’s solid bipartisan vote doesn’t fade, White House officials said. To that end, the White House is enlisting business leaders in hopes of persuading House Republicans to back the bill. Last Tuesday, White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough met privately with the American Bankers Association, the National Retail Federation, the Financial Services Forum and other business trade groups, to discuss ways to advance the bill.

A small group of Republican House Members actually met last night to discuss the possibility of passing the Immigration Bill in the House of Representatives.

In a related story, Amnesty Advocates and desperate Democrats have been quietly circulating the following list of Republican House Members who they believe may be stupid and spineless enough to vote for the Gang of 8’s Amnesty Bill:

Immigration Reform in the House – Republican Targets July 3, 2013

If there is a vote on comprehensive immigration reform with a path to citizenship in the House, it will pass with a bipartisan majority. If all but a handful of the House Democrats vote yes, and at least 20 Republicans from the list below come along, reform can easily clear the 218 necessary to pass the lower chamber. Looking at the list of 99 House Republicans below, it’s clear that capturing those 20 or so Republican votes is well within reach. Our target list includes several different groups of Republicans, such as:

Republicans with growing numbers of Latino and Asian constituents. While redistricting has temporarily insulated many House Republicans from the “demographic cliff” their party faces if it caters only to white voters,” at least 38 Republican members of Congress represent heavily Latino districts–and approximately 25 GOP members are in diverse swing districts where the growing Latino, Asian, and immigrant vote is crucial. These include California Republicans Jeff Denham, David Valadao, Gary Miller, Buck McKeon and Devin Nunes; Colorado Republican Mike Coffman; Florida Republicans Mario Diaz-Balart and Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (both of whom are longtime supporters of immigration reform); New York Republicans Peter King and Michael Grimm; and Nevada Republican Joe Heck.
Republicans with agricultural or high-tech interests in their districts. Both the agriculture and high-tech sectors urgently need immigration reform to secure a 21st century workforce. Republicans who should support reform for the economic well-being of their districts include Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-VA), Spencer Bachus (R-AL),and Sam Johnson (R-TX), all of whom represent agriculture-heavy districts, and Darrell Issa (R-CA), whose district includes tech interests.

Republicans who understand the need for the Party to tackle immigration reform for its own future. Several leading figures inthe House GOP have come out in favor of immigration reform since the election, understanding that, as a Republican NationalCommittee report put it this spring, “among the steps Republicans take in the Hispanic community and beyond we must embrace and champion comprehensive immigration reform. If we do not, our Party’s appeal will continue to shrink to its core constituencies only.” This group includes Representative Paul Ryan (R-WI), who told reporters last month that he believes the House can pass immigration reform with a path to citizenship; NRCC chairman Greg Walden (R-OR), who told USA Today last month that he believes the undocumented should have access to a path to citizenship; and rising star Raul Labrador (R-ID), who has remained committed to immigration reform even after leaving the bipartisan House “Gang of 8.”

If any Republican House Members join the gullible traitors in the Senate, like Rubio, McCain, and his pet dog, Graham, in voting for this “get out of jail FREE card”, I have they have a trade to fall back on, Because, they will be primaried in 2014, and sent packing.

A couple of years back, the following allegorical story went viral.  You may have seen this already, but it explains illegal immigration as succinctly as anything I have come across:

*American unity depends upon a widely-held belief in the principles and values embodied in the American Constitution and their fulfillment in practice: equal protection and justice under the law; freedom of speech and religion; and representative government;

*Lawfully-admitted newcomers of any ancestral nationality—without regard to race, ethnicity, or religion—truly become Americans when they give allegiance to these principles and values;

Amnesty instead of assimilation is a recipe for even greater GOP losses at at the ballot box.

Amnesty instead of assimilation is a recipe for the furtherance of American decline.

Reince Preibus: “We Need Comprehensive Immigration Reform.” Palin, for Conservative Base: “See ya later, Gator?”

palin-newsweekI have written a lot lately about the Senate’s Gang of 8, and the egregious Amnesty Bill, which the Senate passed last Thursday. As I have written, this bill, if it becomes law, will change America’s Political Landscape forever….and the GOP Establishment seem quite pleased about it, as is their nature as “Vichy Republicans”.

Last Friday, Former Alaska Governor and, now, Fox News Contributor, Sarah Palin wrote the following on her Facebook Page

Great job, GOP establishment. You’ve just abandoned the Reagan Democrats with this amnesty bill, and we needed them to “enlarge that tent” of which you so often speak. It’s depressing to consider that the House of Representatives is threatening to pass some version of this nonsensical bill in the coming weeks.

Once again, I’ll point out the obvious to you: it was the loss of working class voters in swing states that cost us the 2012 election, not the Hispanic vote. Legal immigrants respect the rule of law and can see how self-centered a politician must be to fill this amnesty bill with favors, earmarks, and crony capitalists’ pork, and call it good. You disrespect Hispanics with your assumption that they desire ignoring the rule of law.

Folks like me are barely hanging on to our enlistment papers in any political party – and it’s precisely because flip-flopping political actions like amnesty force us to ask how much more bull from both the elephants in the Republican Party and the jackasses in the Democrat Party we have to swallow before these political machines totally abandon the average commonsense hardworking American. Now we turn to watch the House. If they bless this new “bi-partisan” hyper-partisan devastating plan for amnesty, we’ll know that both private political parties have finally turned their backs on us. It will then be time to show our parties’ hierarchies what we think of being members of either one of these out-of-touch, arrogant, and dysfunctional political machines.

Also, last Friday, Reince Priebus, Chairman of the Republican National Committee, was interviewed by CNN on the subject of the Amnesty Bill, now, in the House’s hands.

Here is what he said,

We need comprehensive immigration reform. I don’t think we can continue to drift along with this mess of immigration laws that we have. And a mess that in many regards has been the results of our government not even enforcing the laws that are in place. There is plenty of blame to go around for why we are in this position, but I think it’s about time that we address it.

…it’s clear that there is pretty broad consensus in the party, in the Republican Party, that we need comprehensive immigration reform.

…My understanding is that the House is going to draft its own version of an immigration bill that they see as either a better fix for comprehensive immigration reform, or something that is reflective of the Republican majority of the House, and then potentially go to conference, and potentially have a conclusion.

…I know the leadership in the House is committed to putting something pretty comprehensive together that’s going to address the issue.

…One thing I think is pretty clear. We wouldn’t have been in this place without Republicans being at the table pushing for immigration reform. And I think this conversation would never be happening without Marco Rubio.

Although I officially began this Blog in April of 2010, I have been an observer of American Politics since I was in college, where I was the Radio News Director for the on-campus station, in the late 1970s, with a staff of 20 students, who received college credit for doing 5 minute newscasts.

Ever since President Ronald Reagan’s last day in office, the Republican Establishment has been intentionally distancing themselves from the very voter base who propelled Reagan to two terms as President.  The Silent Majority, is how Richard Nixon referred to us. We’ve also been called “The Sleeping Giant”.

We are American Conservatives, living in the Heartland of our country.

Allow me to give a general description of us for those of you up in the Northeastern Corridor and out on the Left Coast:

We are overwhelmingly Christian, unabashedly Patriotic, hard-working, loving, charitable, family oriented men and women, who still believe in the American Dream.

We want our children and grandchildren to “have it better than we had it”, a phrase which was the hope of our parents generation, as well.

We are farmers, plumbers, machinists, car salesmen, teachers, doctors, nurses,  lawyers, struggling entrepreneurs and successful businessmen. We are ministers, preachers, rabbis, and priests. We are young, old, White, Black, Asian, and Hispanic.

We love God, family, and country. We will give you the shirt off our backs. When disasters happen, we’re the first ones there, and the last ones to leave.

Since the presidency of Ronaldus Magnus, America’s Heartland Conservatives, like myself, have faithfully supported the Republican Party, receiving nothing in return, except the upturn of their self-proclaimed sophisticated, snotty noses, as time and time again, they force-fed milk toast Moderate Presidential Candidates down our throats, instead of take-charge, can-do Conservatives.

The Republican Establishment, who has evidently enjoyed the smell of what they have been shoveling on us all the years, are so convinced of their own superior intellects, they remind me of the late, great Ted Knight’s portrayal of Judge Smails, in the classic movie “Caddyshack”, starring the equally late, great Rodney Dangerfield, the great Bill Murray, and the now-washed-up, forgettable Chevy Chase.

Well, I have some news for these charter members of the DC Country Club, and their newest member, Marco “Judas” Rubio:

You are fooling no one. We know that is not rain that we are feeling on our legs.

Speaker Boehner, you and all the other Members of the GOP Elite Country Club had better consider this: 90% of those to whom you wish to grant Amnesty, will vote Democrat, no matter how many empty promises you make, and how much free stuff you give them. Also, even if they would, what good will 30,000 new voters do you, if you lose your entire Conservative Voter Base?

Republican Members of the House of Representatives, if you are tone-deaf enough and downright stupid enough to pass this Amnesty Bill, then, come 2014, I hope y’all have a trade to fall back on, because payback will be…well…you know.

The “Path to Citizenship”: Can You Buy Patriotism and Loyalty?

jimmycagneyAs I came up with the title to this blog, the image of the late, great James Cagney, as the immortal George M. Cohan came to mind, singing and dancing in the biographical musical about the legendary musician/playwright/song and dance man.

Oh, I’m a Yankee Doodle Dandy.

I’m a Yankee Doodle Boy.

A real live nephew of my Uncle Sam,

Born on the Fourth of July.

That being said, among the hot button issues that both the Liberal/Socialist/dang-near Communist Democrats and the Vichy Republicans, as they attempt to “rebrand” the GOP to be more like the Dems, are focusing on, is the passage of a law promoting a “Path to Citizenship” for illegal immigrants. You know, individuals who snuck into our sovereign nation by entering “South of the Border, Down Mexico Way”. (Hey! That would make a great song title. Oh…never mind.)

I will not argue with you, that  a lot of these illegal, not undocumented, immigrants, work hard, at back-breaking nasty jobs. However, what about the fact that they are here illegally , do our elected officials not understand?

Let me try to explain it in a way even Joe Biden could comprehend. (I’ll use small words.)

Sequestration is Coming!!! Run For the Hills!!! Or Something….

ObamafraudJust 2 days away from the End of the World as we know it (according to Obama and his minions) and I feel fine.

However, ol’ Scooter is getting desperate…and dangerous.

The Washington Times reported yesterday, that

The sequester is officially still three days away, but the Obama administration already is making the first cuts, with officials confirming that the Homeland Security Department already has released several hundred illegal immigrants from detention in order to save money.

The move is proving controversial. Immigrant-rights groups say it shows the administration was detaining folks it never should have gone after in the first place, while Republicans questioned the decision-making.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the agency that runs the detention facilities, said that with both sequesters and the annual spending bills looming, officials have tried to find places to cut, and releasing low-priority immigrants is one of those ways.

“Over the last week, ICE has reviewed several hundred cases and placed these individuals on methods of supervision less costly than detention,” ICE said in a statement. “All of these individuals remain in removal proceedings. Priority for detention remains on serious criminal offenders and other individuals who pose a significant threat to public safety.”

While being released from detention, the illegal immigrants are still subject to supervision — either by electronic device or by being required to check in with ICE by phone or in person.

The move first was reported by The Huffington Post on Monday.

The sequesters are $85 billion in spending cuts this year, followed by equivalent cuts for the rest of this decade. They were set in motion by the 2011 debt deal and will require across-the-board cuts to all government spending save for entitlements such as Social Security.

The cuts take effect on Friday, and all sides on Capitol Hill say they want to avert them — though they cannot agree on how to do so.

SEE RELATED: White House raises terror threat, warns illegals could flood borders after sequester cuts

The Obama administration, which wants to see the cuts replaced in large part by new tax increases, has warned that the sequesters will hurt national security.

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano on Monday told reporters at the White House that she would be forced to furlough Border Patrol agents, pulling them from their rounds along the U.S.-Mexico border.

She also hinted at the decision to release illegal immigrants, saying she would not be able to maintain the full slate of 34,000 detention beds mandated by Congress.

“How am I supposed to pay for those? There’s only so much I can do,” she said.

United We Dream, an immigrant-rights group, said the releases show the administration had been keeping folks detained who never should have been there.

Arizona Governor Jan Brewer disagrees…

I’m appalled to learn the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has begun to release hundreds of illegal aliens from custody, the first of potentially thousands to soon be freed under the guise of federal budget cuts. This is pure political posturing and the height of absurdity given that the releases are being granted before the federal ‘sequestration’ cuts have even gone into effect.

This represents a return to exactly the kind of catch-and-release procedures that have long made a mockery of our country’s immigration system. The news is especially concerning when coupled with DHS’ acknowledgment today that it may not be able to maintain operation of 34,000 immigration jail beds, as mandated by Congress.

Everyone knows the federal government must get a handle on spending, and it is well past time that the President begin working with Congress to find real budget solutions. But we cannot let public safety and the rule of law be collateral damage of the President’s failed leadership to pass a budget.

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin hits the nail on the head concerning Friday’s upcoming”Apocalypse”…

D.C.: Cut the Drama. Do Your Job.

Americans are sick and tired of yet another ginned-up crisis. D.C. needs to grow up, get to work, and live within its means. The real economic Armageddon looming before us is our runaway debt, not the sequester, which the President advocated for and signed into law and is now running around denouncing because he never had any genuine intention of reining in his reckless spending.

Remember that this sequestration deal came about because of the long debt ceiling standoff in the summer of 2011. It wasn’t the ideal outcome for anyone, but it did at least include real deficit reduction of about $110 billion per year for 10 years, which is still nowhere near enough to close our massive deficit. Keep in mind that since the sequester passed, the President has already hit American families and small business owners with his tax increases, or “more revenue” as he likes to call it. The American public doesn’t want tax increases; we want government to rein in its overspending.

If we can’t stomach modest cuts that would lower federal spending by a mere 0.3% per year out of a current federal budget of $3.6 trillion, then we might as well signal to the whole world that we have no serious intention of dealing with our debt problem.

If we are going to wet our proverbial pants over 0.3% in annual spending cuts when we’re running up trillion dollar annual deficits, then we’re done. Put a fork in us. We’re finished. We’re going to default eventually and that’s why the feds are stockpiling bullets in case of civil unrest.

If we ARE serious about putting our fiscal house in order, then let’s stop the hysterics, tighten our belts, and take our medicine.

Twice,  publicly and privately, Barack Hussein Obama has taken the following Oath of Office, as specified in Article II, Section 1, of the Constitution:

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.

How is what he has just done, in releasing into the citizenry, those who have broken the law, not a violation of that Oath?

How are his attempts at needlessly panicking the citizenry, not a flagrant abuse of office?

Finally, what is Scooter going to do when the “Apocalyptic Sequesters hits Friday, and none of his dire warnings come to pass, and, he is exposed for the fraud that he is?

Obama to Propose His Own Illegal Immigration Plan

obamaillegalimmigrationWhile the First Couple is vacationing on opposite ends of the country, on our dime, news of a proposed plan by the Prevaricator-in Chief, to deal with Illegal Immigration, has been leaked to a Liberal National Newspaper.

A draft of a White House immigration proposal obtained by USA TODAY would allow illegal immigrants to become legal permanent residents within eight years.

The plan also would provide for more security funding and require business owners to check the immigration status of new hires within four years. In addition, the nation’s 11 million illegal immigrants could apply for a newly created “Lawful Prospective Immigrant” visa, under the draft bill being written by the White House.

If approved, they could then apply for the same provisional legal status for their spouse or children living outside the country, according to the draft.

The bill is being developed as members in both chambers of Congress are drafting their own immigration bills.

…The bill mirrors many provisions of the bipartisan 2007 bill that was spearheaded by the late Sen. Ted Kennedy, D-Mass., and Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., and ultimately failed.

In his first term, Obama often deferred to Congress on drafting and advancing major legislation, including the Affordable Care Act. He has openly supported the efforts in Congress to take the lead on immigration legislation, and just this week met with Democratic senators to discuss their proposals.

But two weeks ago in Las Vegas, while outlining his immigration plans, Obama made clear that he would not wait too long for Congress to get moving.

“If Congress is unable to move forward in a timely fashion, I will send up a bill based on my proposal and insist that they vote on it right away,” he said.

According to the White House draft, people would need to pass a criminal background check, submit biometric information and pay fees to qualify for the new visa. If approved, they would be allowed to legally reside in the U.S. for four years, work and leave the country for short periods of time. After the four years, they could then reapply for an extension.

Illegal immigrants would be disqualified from the program if they were convicted of a crime that led to a prison term of at least one year, three or more different crimes that resulted in a total of 90 days in jail, or if they committed any offense abroad that “if committed in the United States would render the alien inadmissible or removable from the United States.”

People currently in federal custody or facing deportation proceedings also could be allowed to apply for the Lawful Prospective Immigrant visa. Application forms and instructions would be provided in “the most common languages spoken by persons in the United States,” but the application and all supporting evidence submitted to the federal government would have to be in English.

They would also be given a new identification card to show as proof of their legal status in the country.

The immigrants could then apply for legal permanent residence, commonly known as a green card, within eight years if they learn English and “the history and government of the United States” and pay back taxes. That would then clear the path for them to apply for U.S. citizenship.

To combat fraud, the draft proposes a new Social Security card be developed that is “fraud-resistant, tamper-resistant and wear-resistant.” The Social Security Administration would be required to issue the new cards within two years.

A major requirement for many Republicans is enhanced border security. The bill calls for an unspecified increase in the Border Patrol, allows the Department of Homeland Security to expand technological improvements along the border and adds 140 new immigration judges to process the heavy flow of people who violate immigration laws.

It also orders U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to study whether a land-border crossing fee should be implemented to help offset border security costs. The draft also proposes raising many inspection fees that border-crossers already pay.

The draft bill proposes a new plan to allow Homeland Security to “accept donations” from citizens, businesses and local and state governments to improve ports of entry and security features along the border. And it would require CBP to begin collecting statistics on deaths along the border and report them quarterly.

The draft also expands the E-Verify program that checks the immigration status of people seeking new jobs. Businesses with more than 1,000 employees must begin using the system within two years, businesses with more than 250 employees within three years and all businesses within four years.

Homeland Security, working with the U.S. departments of Labor and Agriculture, the attorney general and other agencies, would engage in a $40 million-a-year program to educate business owners and workers about the program.

Homeland Security also would be required to submit a report within 18 months showing how the worker verification system is working, and specifically explain how it is affecting the nation’s agriculture industry, which relies heavily on illegal immigrant workers.

The draft obtained by USA TODAY does not include sections that would alter the nation’s legal immigration system to adjust the future flow of legal immigrants, which is expected to be a critical component of any immigration overhaul.

If the president believes that everyone will accept his brilliant (**cough**) plan with open arms, he has another thing coming.

Politico.com reports that

Sen. Marco Rubio said Saturday that President Barack Obama’s immigration plan will be “dead on arrival” on Capitol Hill if it looks like the proposal reported by USA Today.

“If actually proposed, the president’s bill would be dead on arrival in Congress, leaving us with unsecured borders and a broken legal immigration system for years to come,” said Rubio, who’s seen as a key figure in pushing a bipartisan immigration bill through the Senate.

A White House spokesman told POLITICO earlier Saturday that the administration continues to support a bipartisan plan from the Hill and has not produced a final bill to send to Congress.

Rubio’s statement is combative, faulting the administration for releasing a proposal without getting Republican input. “It’s a mistake for the White House to draft immigration legislation without seeking input from Republican members of Congress,” Rubio said. “President Obama’s leaked immigration proposal is disappointing to those of us working on a serious solution.”

“The president’s bill repeats the failures of past legislation,” he continued. “It fails to follow through on previously broken promises to secure our borders, creates a special pathway that puts those who broke our immigration laws at an advantage over those who chose to do things the right way and come here legally and does nothing to address guest workers or future flow, which serious immigration experts agree is critical to preventing future influxes of illegal immigrants.”

“Much like the president’s self-described stopgap deferred action measure last year, this legislation is half-baked and seriously flawed,” Rubio added. “It would actually make our immigration problems worse and would further undermine the American people’s confidence in Washington’s ability to enforce our immigration laws and reform our broken immigration system.

Perhaps, that is exactly what the president has in mind, Senator.

By proposing and passing his plan by Executive Order, if need be, ol’ Baracky Claus is seeking to create a boatload of grateful, new Democratic voters.

Obama: “Secured Borders? We don’t need no stinkin’ secured borders.”

If this plan becomes law,Obama will create a new working class, or, Proletariat, who will look to Uncle Sugar, or the Politboro, for their very existence.

Then, the greatest country on the face of the Earth will become just another Democratic Socialist nation, fulfilling the dreams of The Manchurian President and all of his minions.

Lenin would be sooo proud.

Until He Comes,
