Trump Reopens Gov’t for 3 Weeks of Negotiations, Schumer Hopes Trump “Has Learned His Lesson”…What “Lesson”?

Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle reacted Friday to President Trump’s announcement that he would support a short-term bill to re-open the government following a months-long partial government shutdown and stalemate between Republicans and Democrats on funding for a wall at the border.

“I am very proud to announce we have reached a deal to end the shutdown and reopen the federal government,” Trump said in the Rose Garden on Friday.

The Senate later passed legislation to keep the government running until Feb. 15. However, the deal appeared to include no money for a wall or steel barrier, but Trump said he hoped negotiations would continue in order to reach an agreement on wall funding.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., issued a statement saying he “was glad” that both sides were able to make a deal that would also +allow them to “negotiate a funding bill for the Department of Homeland Security.”

“I’m glad the closed portions of the federal government will re-open and get back online,” the statement said. “I’m glad that the dedicated men and women of the Coast Guard, law enforcement, the TSA, and all the other federal employees will not have to go longer without pay for their work, and will receive their back pay. I know the pain that this episode has caused to many Kentuckians and to people around the country. They deserve this resolution.”

He then pointed his comments toward Democrats, saying he hoped they would “stay true to the commitment they have stated constantly over the past weeks – that once government was re-opened, they would be perfectly willing to negotiate in good faith on full-year government funding that would include a significant investment in urgently needed border security measures, including physical barriers.”

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., in a tweet about Trump’s announcement, described it as being “great news” for federal employees furloughed during the partial shutdown.

“The longest shutdown in American history will finally end,” Schumer tweeted. “The president has agreed to our request to open the government then debate border security. This is great news for 800,000 federal workers & millions of Americans who depend on government services.”

Schumer and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi also held a joint news conference following the president’s announcement, where the minority leader reiterated that the deal was “great news” for the affected federal employees. But he also took aim at Trump, saying he hoped “the president has learned his lesson.”

“The American people do not like it when you throw a wrench into the lives of government workers over an unrelated political dispute,” Schumer said. “Working people throughout America empathized with federal workers and were aghast at what the president was doing to them. Hopefully now the president has learned his lesson.”

Pelosi, D-Calif., said they were “pleased” that a deal to reopen the government had been reached. While discussing the hardships furloughed workers faced during the partial shutdown, Pelosi commended them for their “courage” and “determination.”

“It’s really hard for some in the administration to understand how people live paycheck to paycheck and how marginal some of their existences are,” she added.

Rep. Mark Meadows, R-N.C., in a statement said the president’s announcement has allowed Democrats a chance to negotiate border security. However, if talks prove to be unsuccessful, “executive action is still very much under consideration.”

During Trump’s remarks, he made reference to his earlier comments about declaring a national emergency, but said he didn’t want to use the “very powerful weapon.” He has sought $5.7 billion in money toward a wall or steel barrier at the U.S.-Mexico border

“The president is sticking by his commitment to keep our communities safe and has assured me that nothing will deter him from accomplishing that goal,” Meadows said in the statement. “His resolve remains steadfast. Democrats now have yet another opportunity to come to the table and negotiate, where all Americans will be able to judge for themselves whether they’re truly serious about securing our border.”

If Senator Chuck “U.” Schumer and House Speaker San Fran Nan Pelosi think that they have somehow beat President Trump into submission, they haven’t learned a darn thing since the night of November 8, 2016.

What President Trump is doing is further exposing the self-serving hypocrisy of the Far Left Democratic Party while making sure that 800,000 government employees can pay their bills and take care of their families.

Pelosi, Schumer, and Company don’t give a rat’s rear about those government employees or average Americans.

They have proved that over and over.

If Pelosi actually cared, she would not have closed the House of Representatives on Thursday for a 3-day weekend.

Heck, if all the Democrats on Capitol Hill actually cared about AMERICANS, the Border Wall would have been built in the 1980s when they promised President Reagan that they were going to do it in exchange for the granting of amnesty to all the illegal aliens in the country at that time.

Regardless of what Ann Coulter, the “Conservative” Pundit who used to sleep with Bill Maher said yesterday, Trump has not caved nor has he sold out.

As Rep. Mark Meadows said in his statement, “executive action is still very much under consideration”.

I am quite certain that President Trump does not trust Pelosi, Schumer, and Company any farther than Pelosi can spit her dentures.

Trump did not become a billionaire and the President of the United States of America by being stupid.

And, the Democratic Party, the Main Stream Media, George Soros, the New Bolsheviks , and the NeverTrumpers have been underestimating him since he announced his candidacy for the presidency.

If you are a Trump supporter, as I am, now is not the time to hang your head, put on your bib overalls, grab a jug of moonshine, and lay around with Grandpa, Cousin Roy, and Junior singing “Gloom, Despair, and Agony on me”.

Rather, it is time to pop popcorn, grab the cold beverage of your choice, and watch the Democrats make complete and total jackasses out of themselves, while revealing their disdain for America and her citizens as they break their promise to negotiate in good faith during the next 3 weeks.

And then, we will all watch with button-popping pride as the Southern Border Wall is finally built…one way or another.

Pelosi Rejects Trump’s Offer of Partial Down Payment on Wall, Takes 3-Day Weekend Instead…Priorities

The White House on Thursday signaled that a “large down payment” on border wall funding — and potentially less than the $5.7 billion that President Trump has long requested — could be sufficient to bring Republicans to the table and end the ongoing partial federal government shutdown.

The possible concession from the White House came just minutes after the Senate rejected both Democratic and GOP proposals to end the shutdown, with both measures falling far short of the 60-vote threshold needed to pass.

But Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi dismissed the proposal shortly afterward as a nonstarter, saying it was “not a reasonable agreement.”

“I don’t know if he knows what he’s talking about,” Pelosi added, referring to Trump.

The White House, in response, slammed Pelosi’s consistent rejections of compromise proposals. The House speaker has previously said she would not support any legislation that includes funding for the wall, which she characterized as an “immorality.”

“I know some people call her ‘Fancy Nancy’ — these days, I think a better nickname is ‘Dr. No,'” White House adviser Kellyanne Conway told Fox News on Thursday, referring to Pelosi. “Just keep hearing ‘no’ — just ‘no no no’ all the time – you can’t just stomp your feet and say, ‘Harrumph.'”

The Republican package that failed in the Senate would have provided the $5.7 billion while also offering several immigration-related concessions and tightening asylum rules, while the Democratic bill had no wall funding and included disaster-relief funding.

“Leader Mitch McConnell and Sen. Chuck Schumer are meeting now to see whether or not they can work out of the deadlock,” White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said Thursday evening, after the Senate votes. “As was made clear to Sen. Lindsey Graham, the three-week CR [continuing resolution] would only work if there is a large down payment on the wall.”

Trump, in separate comments to reporters at the White House, suggested that a “prorated down payment” on the wall, also without providing a concrete dollar figure, could be viable.

“If they come to a reasonable agreement, I would support that,” Trump told reporters, referring to Schumer and McConnell.

“We have a lot of alternatives” to end the shutdown, Trump added, before he asserted that illegal immigration and drug trafficking constituted a “virtual invasion” of the U.S. that could be stopped only by “a strong barrier or wall.”

If some of the “ingenious” smugglers and traffickers “were ever legit, they’d become very rich people,” Trump said.

He added: “Border Patrol — all of the drones flying up in the air, having a lot of fun flying drones all over the place — they don’t mean a thing when they look down and they see thousands of people rushing our border. The only thing that works is a strong barrier or wall.”

Separately, the president said it was “very reasonable” for Pelosi to block his planned State of the Union address in the House of Representatives until the end of the shutdown.

But in her own remarks Thursday, Pelosi said she was unsure what Trump was proposing, and indicated that a continuing resolution with any wall funding was a nonstarter.

“That is not a reasonable agreement between the senators,” Pelosi said, referring to a possible down payment on the wall.

Meanwhile, Texas House Rep. Dan Crenshaw noted on “Fox & Friends” that Pelosi and Democratic leaders are actively blocking Republican efforts to ensure that federal workers are paid.

“This is a very little known fact but it’s very important,” Crenshaw said. “Over the last week, we voted twice on a motion to recommit, which would send an appropriations bill back to committee, in order to pay federal workers. Now this is separate from the bipartisan plan to give them backpay. That’s separate. This is two other bills that would actually pay them in real time. This would actually pay them right now.”

If Democrats’ “priority is really federal workers,” Crenshaw said, “then let’s actually pay them so that they can’t be used as pawns.”

For his part, Graham, R-S.C., said in a statement Thursday, “The way forward is clear to me: a three-week continuing resolution (CR) that includes a down payment on wall/barrier funding and priorities of Democrats for disaster relief, showing good faith from both sides.”

There is only one problem with your suggestion, Senator Graham: There is only one side attempting to negotiate “in good faith”.

And, it is not Pelosi and the Democrats.

As Rep. Crenshaw pointed out, the Democrats are holding 800,000 government workers hostage until they get their way in this matter.

Evidently, either they have forgotten, or they hope that President Trump has forgotten what happened to President Reagan when he gave amnesty to illegal aliens for Congress’ promise to build a Border Wall.

As President Reagan’s son, Michael, recently quipped,

We’re still waiting.

The problem is, as the President put it,

“The only thing that works is a strong barrier or wall.”

Yesterday, as was posted by NWC on SpartaReport.com, CNN reported that the Trump administration was preparing a draft proclamation to declare a national emergency on the southern border that called for $7+ billion for the border wall.

Now, if that report is true, and with CNN the probability is slim, Trump would be excising his best option to bring security to our Southern Border.

As exemplified, by Speaker closing the House down for the weekend yesterday with staying and working to solve the impasse, the Democrats actual do not give a rat’s rear about the plight of the 800,000 government workers who are not getting paid.

They are simply a means to an end.

And, that end is a wide open Southern Border enabling a new generation of Democratic Party Voters to illegally enter our Sovereign Nation.

Mr. President, you have done everything that you can do in order to negotiate in good faith.

It is time to begin construction of the barrier/wall on our Southern Border.

The safety of American citizens is at stake.

Hoyer Says “Sure” to Trump SOTU…Is a Rebellion Brewing in the House?

There are signs that House Speaker Pelosi’s firm grip on the Democrats in the House of Representatives may be beginning to weaken.

A group of centrist House Democrats, sick of political posturing, is pressing Speaker Nancy Pelosi to counter Trump’s immigration proposal with her own potential compromise. The group, led by freshman Rep. Elaine Luria of Virginia, is asking the California Democrat to offer Trump a vote on his border wall or some sort of negotiated security package in February if he first signs a bill reopening the federal government, according to a draft of the letter obtained by POLITICO.

…It is unclear how many Democrats have signed on to the letter, but multiple senior Democratic aides downplayed the draft missive, suggesting their party is sticking together in a vow not to negotiate until after the shutdown is over. Trump has already panned a similar proposal by Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), one of his top allies in the upper chamber.

“We agree. The first step is to re-open government,” said Pelosi spokesman Drew Hammill, emphasizing their similarities, not their differences. Pelosi told Trump this month that she would not fund the border wall even after the government reopened, causing the president to walk out of their last meeting.

However, the letter, being circulated among some lawmakers from red or swing districts, illustrates the pressure they are under to end the shutdown. Pelosi and Schumer have argued that giving in to Trump’s desires would be rewarding “bad behavior” or “hostage taking.“ But some Democrats are starting to question that strategy.

“Give Trump the money,” Rep. Collin Peterson, a centrist Democrat from a red Minnesota district, told a local radio station Tuesday. “I’d give him the whole thing…and put strings on it so you make sure he puts the wall where it needs to be. Why are we fighting over this? We’re going to build that wall anyway, at some time.”

Peterson and Rep. Don Young (R-Alaska) wrote to congressional leaders and Trump on Tuesday, calling on them to “end the brinkmanship,” reopen the government and make a “good faith” effort on border security.

But, wait. there’s more.

It is not just the rank and file who are beginning to question Pelosi’s Political Strategy.

…for the speech in the House, both chambers of Congress must approve a resolution to use the House chamber and to have both bodies meet in a Joint Session of Congress. This has not happened yet. Should the Senate move to host the president instead, a resolution would still be needed. But (House Majority Leader Steny) Hoyer, in an apparent break with Pelosi, seemingly had no problems with allowing Trump to speak.

“Sure,” Hoyer responded, when asked if he’d be open to Trump speaking in person in the House for the State of the Union. Asked if Pelosi would agree, he added, “I don’t know what the discussions have been.”

And in another split with Pelosi, Hoyer again demurred when asked if walls are indeed an “immorality.”

“Physical barriers are a part of the solution,” Hoyer said. “Look, if it’s protecting people it’s moral, if it’s imprisoning people, it may well be immoral.”

Whoa.

Well, shut mah mouth!

There just may be trouble in paradise.

Don’t you just know that Madame Speaker called Hoyer after she received word of his statements and called him everything but a child of God?

If there are any Democrats with a lick of sense left in the House, they must know by now how stupidly traitorous San Fran Nan is making them look.

The demand of Pelosi and Schumer for Trump to trust them to address building a wall or barrier along our Southern Border if he lets them have his way, possesses all of the sincerity of Lucy Van Pelt holding the football for Charlie Brown to kick.

No matter what the manufactured Democrat-heavy polls show, the majority of average Americans want Trump to build that wall….concrete or steel.

I believe that Hoyer understands and fears the same thing as the Moderate Democrats (a relative term in that political party) do: if Pelosi does not come to the negotiating table, they can all kiss goodbye their cushy seats in the House of Representatives.

The thing is, though, these Dems who oppose her had better get loud and organized.

Nancy plays dirty.

Other rebellions against her have failed.

I would not be surprised, if, like the legendary FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover, she has files on every single Democrat in the House of Representatives, chock full of dirty little secrets which can be used as leverage against them to bring them into compliance.

I do not look for Trump to capitulate to Pelosi. Not over the building of the wall nor the giving of the State of the Union Address.

He will simply find other ways to accomplish both.

Unlike the professional politicians in DC, he is very good at thinking outside the box.

It got him to the White House.

If the House Democrats don’t do something about their leader, they’ll wind up in the outhouse.

Republican leaders slammed Democrats on Sunday following reports that around 30 Democratic members of Congress traveled to Puerto Rico this weekend to meet with lobbyists and see a special performance of the hit Broadway show “Hamilton.”

While the Democrats also planned on attending the Congressional Hispanic Caucus BOLD PAC gathering in San Juan and met with Puerto Rican officials to discuss ongoing cleanup efforts from Hurricane Maria, Republicans were angered over images of their Democratic colleagues enjoying the island’s beaches as the partial government shutdown entered its third week.

“Democrats in Congress are so alarmed about federal workers not getting paid they’re partying on the beach instead of negotiating a compromise to reopen the government and secure the border,” White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders tweeted Sunday morning.

GOP Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel also lambasted the Democrats in Puerto Rico for “hitting the beach and partying with lobbyists” in a tweet on Sunday.

“While [President Trump] is in DC working to resolve the government shutdown and secure our border, Democrats are hitting the beach and partying with lobbyists,” McDaniel tweeted.

Around 109 lobbyists and corporate executives are named in a memo welcoming the guests to the seaside resort in Puerto Rico. Among those attending are members of some from prominent Washington firms as well as representatives from R.J. Reynolds, Facebook, Comcast, Amazon, PhRMA, Microsoft, Intel, Verizon, and unions like the National Education Association.

“This year’s winter retreat promises to be our most widely attended yet with over 220 guests, including 39 Members of Congress and CHC BOLD PAC supporters expected to attend and participate!” a planning memo said.

A spokesman for the BOLD PAC — part of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus — would not tell the Examiner which members of Congress would be attending. But U.S. Sen. Bob Menendez, D-N.J., was spotted on the beach Saturday, according to a FOX News producer.

The Dems’ visit comes amid the ongoing partial government shutdown that has left around 800,000 federal workers with no pay since it began Dec. 22, making it the longest government closure in U.S. history.

“I’m not even in government and I’d get killed in the press if I was on vacation right now,” Donald Trump Jr. tweeted. “Why won’t they cover their democrat buddies lobbyist sponsored vacation in the islands???”

President Trump has refused to sign spending bills for nine of the 15 Cabinet-level departments until Congress approves his request for $5.7 billion in funding to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border. Democrats have refused.

Well, gosh.

It seems that the Democrats are not allowing their deep, heart-felt concern over the plight of 800,000 U.S. Government Workers whose paychecks will be delayed due to the ongoing government shutdown to get in the way of some serious partying…err…”business meetings’.

Trump Walks Out of Shutdown Meeting, Refuses to Play the Democrats’ Game

President Trump walked out of a White House meeting with congressional leaders Wednesday afternoon over the partial government shutdown after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi again rejected supporting new funding for a border wall, according to those in the meeting.

Speaking to reporters after the brief session, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., said the “president just got up and walked out.”

“He asked Speaker Pelosi, ‘will you agree to my wall?’ She said no. And he just got up, and said, ‘Well we’ve got nothing to discuss,'” Schumer said.

The president, in a tweet, called the meeting “a total waste of time” and appeared to confirm that he left after Pelosi’s answer.

“I asked what is going to happen in 30 days if I quickly open things up, are you going to approve Border Security which includes a Wall or Steel Barrier? Nancy said, NO. I said bye-bye, nothing else works!” Trump tweeted.

Pelosi, D-Calif., said after the meeting that the president was “petulant.” Schumer said Trump slammed his hand on a table in frustration, but Vice President Mike Pence and other Republicans, speaking to reporters afterward, denied that happened.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy said the president was willing to make a deal in the meeting.

“I just listened to Senator Schumer,” McCarthy, a California Republican, said. “I know he complained the time that you had cameras in the meeting. I think we need to bring them back. Because what he described the meeting to be is totally different than what took place.”

The meeting in the Situation Room on Wednesday afternoon came ahead of Trump’s planned trip to the Texas-Mexico border on Thursday. Earlier, the president traveled to Capitol Hill to meet with Senate Republicans, saying afterward, “We have a very unified party.”

Still, a growing number of moderate Republicans – like Susan Collins of Maine and Cory Gardner of Colorado — have appeared uncomfortable with the toll the partial shutdown is taking.

Trump has said he might declare a national emergency and try to authorize the wall on his own if Congress won’t approve the $5.7 billion he’s asking.

“I think we might work a deal, and if we don’t I might go that route,” he said.

Past meetings with Democrats have resulted in both sides digging in, with Trump insisting on nearly $6 billion for a border wall and Democrats saying they won’t entertain the discussion until Congress passes and Trump signs a package re-opening shuttered federal agencies.

The president’s prime-time address on Tuesday night saw both camps drifting even further apart, with Trump declaring a “humanitarian and security crisis” and vowing to protect America, “so help me God” – and Democratic congressional leaders saying Trump was working to “manufacture a crisis, stoke fear and divert attention from the turmoil in his administration.”

How the two sides will bridge this difference – and how long they will resist a compromise – has been unclear.

President Trump was exactly right to walk out of that meeting.

If President Ronald Reagan had walked out on the Democrats when they placed him in the same sort of situation, we would not be dealing with the present Border Crisis.

The Democrat Majority Congress promised President Reagan that they would help him build a wall on our Southern Border if he granted mass amnesty to the illegal aliens living in our Sovereign Nation.

They lied.

The measure also sought to crack down on illegal immigration by barring employers from knowingly hiring illegal immigrants.

Just as Americans are witnessing now, Congressional Democrats were playing a manipulative game with our National Security.

Even back then, they were more concerned about creating new Democratic Voters to ensure their political power than they were about protecting American Citizens from foreigners invading our country by illegally crossing our Southern Border.

The last bipartisan U.S. Commission on Immigration Reform wrangled with the hot topic of Illegal Immigration for six years. The Commission’s initial recommendations were released in 1995, and were endorsed by President Bill Clinton. The final report was presented to Congress in 1997.

President Clinton appointed former congresswoman and Democratic icon Barbara Jordan as its chair. Jordan came from humble beginnings to become a lawyer and the first Southern black woman elected to the House of Representatives. A DEMOCRAT, she was a leader in the civil rights movement, a professor of ethics, a recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, and a world-class orator (two of her speeches are considered among the greatest of the 20th century). Her appointment gave the commission instant credibility. According to Jordan, she believed her responsibility as the head of the commission was to restore credibility to the U.S. immigration system. On the issue of illegal immigration, Jordan was very clear and succinct:

Unlawful immigration is unacceptable. Those who should not be here will be required to leave.

I wonder what Rep. Jordan would think of her beloved Democratic Party, now that they have embraced and are welcoming the same illegality, which she was so clear about ?

And, how would she feel about the fact that innocent Americans are being murdered by these uninvited guests?

I believe that she would stand with President Trump as the overwhelming majority of average Americans between the coasts do.

For those who refuse to compromise in the name of in the name of border security, I would ask, imagine if it was your child, your husband or your wife whose life was so cruelly shattered and totally broken. To every member of Congress, pass a bill that ends this crisis. To every citizen, call Congress and tell them to finally, after all of these decades, secure our border. Last night, the 45th President of the United States of America delivered an address to the nation concerning the National Security and Humanitarian Crisis on our Southern Border.

During his presentation, President Trump was factual, focused, passionate, and presidential as he masterfully laid out the case for securing our border, including provided the reasoning for the $5.6 billion which he is asking for in order to erect a steel barrier to help end the drug trafficking, human trafficking, and breaking and entering of our Sovereign Nation by illegal aliens, some of whom possess criminal records as evidenced by the 266,000 whom ICE Agents have arrested. Others have come into our country and murdered 4,000 of our citizens, committing 100,000 assaults and 30,000 sex crimes.

He also pointed out that, in the past, Democrats have supported building a wall on the Southern Border.

The Senate on Thursday passed the most monumental overhaul of U.S. immigration laws in a generation, which would clear the way for millions of undocumented residents to have a chance at citizenship, attract workers from all over the world and devote unprecedented resources for security along the U.S.-Mexico border.

The vote was 68-32. Fourteen Republicans crossed the aisle to vote with all Democrats in favor. Thursday’s vote now puts the onus of immigration reform on the Republican-led House, where leaders have been resistant to the Senate legislation.

“The strong bipartisan vote we took is going to send a message across the country, it’s going to send a message to the other end of the Capitol as well,” said Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), the leader of the so-called Gang of Eight. “The bill has generated a level of support that we believe will be impossible for the House to ignore.

Schumer was wrong. The bill did not make it through the House of Representatives.

After the president spoke last night, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer responded in what came off as desperate, immature, and out-of-touch attempt at a rebuttal on behalf of the Far Left Democratic Party.

Quite Frankly, they sounded more concerned about the inconvenience which delayed paychecks were causing 800,00 Government Workers than they were about the safety of American Citizens, calling all of the violence and human suffering caused by an unsecured Southern Border a “manufactured crisis”, accusing President Trump of “misinformation” and “malice”.

The two Democratic Leaders, giving the appearance of a couple of stereotypical clueless bureaucrats on auto pilot, insisted that the president end the shutdown first and then “we can work to resolve our differences over border security”.

Priorities. Priorities.

Isn’t that the same sort of line that the Democrats handed President Reagan when they got him to bestow amnesty on thousands of illegal aliens back in the day?

Last night’s Democratic Rebuttal was the biggest exercise in hypocrisy since Obama used the horrible mass murder in Sandy Hook to call for gun control, using children as stage props.

Some have suggested a barrier is immoral. Then why do wealthy politicians build walls, fences and gates around their homes? They don’t build walls because they hate the people on the outside, but because they love the people on the inside. New Years Day 2019: Continuing America’s Comeback

As we begin a New Year, we find our Federal Government partially and purposefully shut down, a casualty in a battle of wills between a president who believes that the right of Americans to feel safe in a country built with the blood, sweat, and tears of those who have died to keep us free trumps the desire of those who wish to enter our country illegally and the Machiavellian Plans of a Far Left Political Party who wish to use them to “radically change” America.

As has been documented by my fellow writers on spartareport.com, the American Left are positively apoplectic over the prospect of denying illegal entry to our Sovereign Nation by building a wall along our Southern Border.

Why are those who claim to be our “public servants” so adamant about going against the wishes of the American people to be safe in our own country?

The negativity and bitterness of the Modern American Liberals to whom the Duke was referring has been on display for the entire world to see, ever since the night of November 8, 2016, when reality threw a bucket of cold water in their faces, putting them on notice that average Americans were tired of their failed political philosophy and their perpetually morose opinion about the Greatest Country on the Face of the Earth.

Ever since President Donald J. Trump took office and for 8 long years under his predecessor, Barack Hussein Obama, there has been constant chorus provided by the Nattering Nabobs of Negativism, now known as Modern American Liberals, concerning how uncaring, how bigoted, how xenophobic, how narrow-minded, and how just plain awful and stupid average Americans are to continue to love this country, to honor its flag, and to continue to hold dear the America Legacy of Traditional Faith and Values.

For proof of this, please check out the protests during the Confirmation Hearings for Supreme Court Associate Justice Brett Kavanaugh, in which Liberals were bussed to Capitol Hill in order to not only disrupt those hearings but intimidate Republican Senators.

Luckily, the overwhelming majority of those of us who live between the coasts did not live our lives like the mindless lemmings whom I have named the “New Bolsheviks”.

The rugged individualism of previous generations of Americans flows through our veins. The American “Can-Do” Spirit has taken us from the bottom of the Ocean to the surface of the moon.

The overwhelming majority of Americans will stand by one another in times of crisis, as shown be the outpouring of support throughout the past year’s hurricanes and horrible events such as the California Wildfires.

The intestinal fortitude that is our heritage as Americans…along with that Still, Small Voice which still resides in each and every one of us, will continue, I pray, to guide our nation, and spur us on, to stay vigilant and protect our American Freedom, just as my Parents’ Generation did, against the Axis of Evil.

It is that same Divine Spark which leads our Best and Brightest as they protest and serve our nation’s interests in all corners of the globe. It is also found in our First Responders and the men and women of Law Enforcement who are willing to give their lives to protect our municipalities, such as Corporal Ronil Singh,

I thank God that we have an AMERICAN PRESIDENT who is not afraid to support them and to take the stand he has for our nation’s safety.

The Great Communicator, President Ronald Reagan, summarized what I have been trying to say better than I ever could.

In 1964, in his famous stump speech, “A Time for Choosing”, The Great Communicator said,

Republicans Rally Behind Trump’s Call for Funding the Wall or Shutting Down the Government

In the wake of the unexpected, dramatic on-camera dust-up between President Trump and Democratic leaders Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi in the Oval Office on Tuesday, top Republicans are rallying behind the president’s calls for funding a southern border wall — even if it could mean closing the government just days before Christmas.

“If we don’t have border security, we’ll shut down the government,” Trump told Schumer and Pelosi, as the White House photo op quickly went off the rails and Vice President Mike Pence looked on sternly and silently. Afterwards, Pelosi reportedly mocked the president in a private meeting on Capitol Hill with fellow Democrats, saying “it’s a manhood thing for him — as if manhood could ever be associated with him.”

Fox News has confirmed that, in a deliberate show of support for Trump following the nationally televised showdown, House Republican leaders are considering sending a bill that would provide $5 billion in funding for the wall to the floor for a vote.

Rep. Patrick McHenry, R-N.C., told Fox News Tuesday afternoon that “we can pass it,” although he clarified that GOP leaders have not yet whipped the votes.

A senior House GOP aide separately told Fox News that Republicans are confident the measure would pass, which would force Schumer and Senate Democrats to either approve the funding or risk being blamed for any ensuing government shutdown.

“If I were the president, I would dig in and not give in,” South Carolina Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham, a Trump ally who has sparred with the administration recently over Saudi Arabia policy, told Fox News on Tuesday.

Graham said he had spoken to Trump on the phone and that “he seems pretty dug in” on his position. The president vowed during the campaign that Mexico would pay for the wall, but has since claimed the country will reimburse the U.S. for some of the cost.

In January, Schumer was slammed as a “coward” by fellow progressives after he forced a government shutdown by insisting that any temporary spending bill to keep the government fully operational include permanent protections for the so-called DREAMers — immigrants brought illegally to the United States as children. Schumer backed off just days later in exchange for Republican promises to consider the matter in the future.

Trump told reporters in a pool spray at the White House later Tuesday that “Chuck’s problem is that when we last closed down, that was his idea, and honestly he got killed, and so he doesnt want to own it. And I said, rather than us debating who’s owning it, I’ll take it. If we close down the country, I will take it. Because we’re closing it down for border security, and I think I win that every time.”

…He asserted that the public is willing to tolerate a shutdown for border security.

“If we have to close down the country over border security, I actually like that in terms of an issue, but I don’t want it to be an issue. It’s not really an issue, it’s something the country needs, it’s common sense. We need security from drugs that are pouring into our country.”

The president was not alone in that assessment. Responding to critics who predicted Republicans would be blamed for the standoff — Pelosi referred to the possible closure of government as a “Trump shutdown” in the Oval Office — Graham also appeared undeterred.

“I’m fine with being the party that’s going to secure our border now,” Graham said. “We’re not going to wait any longer. We’re not going to keep kicking the can down the road.”

If you listen to the Democrats and their Propaganda Arm, the Main Stream Media, you would think that nobody supports President Trump.

You would be wrong.

That being said, judging from the reactions by average Americans on Social Media, I would say Trump’s numbers will continue to rise, even if he is forced to shutdown the Federal government for several days.

And, the thing is, because Americans get most of their news and opinions these days from Fox News and Social Media, the blame for the shutdown will be placed exactly where it belongs: on the shoulders of the Democratic Party Leadership, namely Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer.

Their reactions to being told the way that the cow ate the cabbage by President Trump on live TV yesterday showed the entire nation that they had no intention of any sort of compromise with him on Border Security when they entered yesterday’s meeting.

The President is an experienced negotiator. He knew that already.

That is why he called them out in public, letting them know that he was not going to participate in the political game which they were playing with our nation’s sovereignty.

Donald J. Trump was elected by average Americans for a moment such as this.

The fact that he is not a professional politician works to his (and our, as Americans) advantage.

He is not afraid to stand up to those who would sacrifice our nation’s sovereignty for political expediencies.

And I, along with millions of other average Americans, will stand beside him if he is forced to shut down the Federal Government in order to secure funds to make America safe from those who wish to force their way into our Sovereign Nation.

Trump Wins the Government Shutdown. Why Did the Dems Fold? – A KJ Analysis

The Senate on Monday voted 81-18 to break a Democratic filibuster on a stalled government spending bill, clearing the way for Congress to approve the stopgap measure and end the three-day government shutdown.

Democrats effectively backed off their opposition, after being given assurances from majority Republicans.

Before the vote, Senate Minority Leader Sen. Chuck Schumer made clear that Senate Democrats would supply the GOP-controlled Senate with the votes needed, but only in exchange for “fair” and immediate efforts to consider legislation that would protect illegal immigrants brought to the United States as children.

“We will vote today to reopen the government,” Schumer, a New York Democrat, said on the Senate floor. “In a few hours, the government will reopen.”

The 100-member, Republican-controlled chamber will now need only a simple majority to pass the temporary spending bill that would keep the government open until Feb. 8. The House would then have to approve the bill, sending it to President Trump’s desk.

The funding and reopening of the government would allow U.S. military personnel to be paid, end the furlough of nearly 1 million federal workers and resume all federal services and operations.

But congressional lawmakers made clear after the test vote that they’re still faced with challenges, like how to fund hurricane disaster relief and craft a comprehensive immigration reform bill on which both parties can agree.

“We still have a lot more work to do,” said Sen. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa.

After days and weeks of blaming and finger-pointing, a bipartisan group of senators met Sunday and brokered a deal in which rank-and-file members would provide the 60 votes in exchange for Senate leaders’ promise to immediately proceed to immigration reform.

Democrats largely opposed the stopgap spending bill because it did not include provisions to protect the illegal immigrants from deportation under former President Barack Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals executive order.

President Trump last year set a deadline of early March to end the protections. The president has indicated that he wants to provide permanent protections for the young illegal immigrants but has insisted that border security, particularly funding for his U.S.-Mexico border wall, be included in any such deal.

Under the apparent deal to end the filibuster, Schumer said Monday they would negotiate on immigration, and immediately consider such legislation if there’s no agreement by Feb. 8.

Schumer lauded the bipartisan group’s weekend efforts and suggested the group could lead efforts to replace DACA with permanent, legislative protections.

However, he also needled Trump, whom he said on Friday rejected his compromise plan that included money for the border wall.

“Today we enter the third day of the Trump shutdown,” Schumer said before saying we would provide the votes to get to the spending bill. Republicans call it the “Schumer Shutdown.”

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., then thanked Schumer and said: “I think if we’ve learned anything during this process, it’s that a strategy to shut down the government over the issue of illegal immigration is something the American people didn’t understand and would not have understood in the future. So I’m glad we’ve gotten past that.”

With Republicans having just 50 senators available to vote Monday, they needed the support of roughly a dozen Democratic senators to break the filibuster. They got 33, according to the Associated Press.

The 18 senators who didn’t vote to end debate included Republican Sens. Mike Lee, of Utah, and Rand Paul, of Kentucky.

The 15 Democrats in opposition were Sen. Richard Blumenthal and Chris Murphy, both of Connecticut; Cory Booker and Bob Menendez, both of New Jersey; Catherine Cortez Masto, of Nevada; Kirsten Gillibrand, of New York; Mazie Hirono, of Hawaii; Patrick Leahy, of Vermont; Ed Markey and Elizabeth Warren, both of Massachusetts; Jon Tester, of Montana, Ron Wyden and Jeff Merkley, both of Oregon; and Kamala Harris and Dianne Feinstein, both of California. Sen. Bernie Sanders, a Vermont independent, also voted in opposition.

Arizona GOP Sen. John McCain did not vote because he’s home fighting cancer.

McConnell on Sunday night indicated a deal was in the works to break the filibuster, in exchange for immediately addressing Democrats’ desire for immigration reform.

“When the Democrat filibuster of the government funding bill ends, the serious, bipartisan negotiations that have been going on for months now to resolve our unfinished business — military spending; disaster relief; health care; immigration and border security — will continue,” he said Sunday in announcing the Monday vote.

“It would be my intention to resolve these issues as quickly as possible … Importantly, when I proceed to the immigration debate, it will have an amendment process that is fair to all sides. But the first step in any of this is re-opening the government and preventing any further delay.”

Early Monday, before the vote, the Trump White House and Capitol Hill Republicans cranked up the pressure on Democrats to abandon their immediate demands for immigration measures and vote in support of the temporary spending bill.

“They shut down the government,” White House counselor Kellyanne Conway told “Fox & Friends” on Monday morning. “The pressure is on them.”

President Trump tweeted that Democrats shut down the government to appease the “far left base” and are now “powerless” to change course.

The vote Monday was the GOP-controlled Senate’s second attempt to break the filibuster, after failing to get the required 60 votes Friday. The Friday night vote was 50-49.

So, gentle readers…why did Chuck Schumer and the rest of the Far Left butt-kissing Democrats surrender to President Donald J. Trump and the Republicans?

Of course, you will never hear the word “surrender ” in the Main Stream Media’s accounts of the end of Schumer’s Shutdown, but, that is exactly what happened.

Conservative Political Pundits, including the Maha Rushie himself, stated that the shutdown was cooked up by the Democrats in order to distract from Trump’s Economic Boom, which shows no signs of slowing down any time soon.

This being the case, the Democrats certainly could not admit to it, so, they conjured up a never-ending fountain of crocodile tears for the plight of the “poor Dreamers”, adults who came here illegally as children and have done nothing since then to become legal.

In other words, gentle readers, Dreamers want all of the privilege of being an American Citizen with no personal responsibility attached.

So, with an excuse for shutting down the government fabricated, Chucky and his merry band of Marxists fulfilled their Vision Quest and shut down OUR Federal Government in the name of lawbreakers who should have never been here in the first place.

Brilliant plan, right?

Republicans started getting the attention of average Americans by focusing on the fact that the hard-earned paychecks of our Brightest and Best would not be delivered because of the Democrats placing the welfare of illegal immigrants over that of the sons and daughters of average American Citizens who are serving our country.

There is an old adage in show business stating that if you write a play for the theater or a screenplay for a Hollywood Movie, you had better make sure before you sink money into it that it will “play well in Peoria”, meaning that average Americans would like it and support it.

Unfortunately for the Democrats, and amusingly for the rest of us, the cause du jour which they staked their shutdown on, did NOT “play well in Peoria”.

Judging by how quickly the Dems folded, their internal polling numbers must have resembled the average I.Q. of those kids out there taking the Tide Pod Challenge.

Another factor which went against the Dems’ chance for a victorious outcome to their shutdown, was the fact that we have a sitting American President who is not a professional politician, but rather, a “Citizen Statesman”, who is an expert in negotiation.

He may negotiate…but Trump NEVER backs down.

The last factor which I believe has something to do with the Dems ending the Shutdown, is the fact that Chucky and the Democrats are watching a Political Tsunami building size and momentum offshore, which is heading straight for them, in the form of an investigation into the Deep State Operation against the candidacy of Donald J. Trump, which has been dubbed “Obamagate”.

With a “shocking” 4-page memo detailing covert and treasonous activity designed to usurp the will of the people by the Obama Administration about to be released, Chuck Schumer and the rest of the Democrat Hierarchy realized that they were in an untenable position.

They had to “stop the bleeding” before they “bled out”.

Gentle readers, I cannot remember a time when the Republicans came out on the winning side of a Government Shutdown.

But then again, this is the first time in what seems like forever that they were following the lead of an American President who refused to back down.

“Sorry, Folks. America is Closed.” Dems Shut Down Our Government Over the “Rights” of Illegals

The deadline arrived without a deal. The U.S. government shut down at midnight Friday after Congress failed to overcome a partisan divide over immigration and spending.

In a late-night vote, Senate Democrats joined to block a bill that would have kept the government running until mid-February. A flurry of last-minute negotiations failed to produce an agreement.

Democrats tried to use the Friday night funding deadline to win concessions from Republicans, including an extension of DACA, an Obama-era program protecting some young immigrants from deportation. The program is set to expire in March. Republicans sought more time for talks, but Democrats refused.

The shutdown is only the fourth government closure in a quarter-century. It will only partially curb government operations.

Uniformed service members, health inspectors, and law enforcement officers are set to work without pay. But Social Security and most other safety net programs are unaffected.

If no deal is brokered by Monday, hundreds of thousands of federal employees are set to be furloughed.

The White House and Capitol Hill will be working with skeleton staffs, but some government agencies, like the Environmental Protection Agency, have said they were able to shift funding around to keep most workers on the job. National parks and federal museums will be open, but with potentially reduced services.

Earlier Friday night, President Donald Trump seemed pessimistic that a deal could be reached in time.

“Not looking good for our great Military or Safety & Security on the very dangerous Southern Border,” the president tweeted. “Dems want a Shutdown in order to help diminish the great success of the Tax Cuts, and what they are doing for our booming economy.”

Negotiations, however, continued through the evening, with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., and House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., working to pass a resolution to keep the government open, White House sources said.

Earlier in the day, demonstrators were seen protesting in support of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program in the Russell Senate Office Building. Democrats refused to back a short-term spending bill unless it includes protections for illegal immigrants brought to the country as children.

“Republicans – who control the House, Senate, and WH – are on the verge of making #TrumpShutdown a reality because they refuse to protect DREAMers and provide long-term certainty for our military, the opioid crisis, CHIP, and other key issues,” House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi tweeted late Friday night.

During the day Friday, Schumer met with President Trump at the White House as part of an effort to avert the imminent shutdown.

That meeting came as the White House coined a decidedly Trumpian phrase in the battle to assign blame for the standoff, branding it the “Schumer Shutdown.”

A senior White House official told Fox News that the Trump-Schumer meeting was productive, but there was no deal yet. Still, the president labeled the meeting “excellent” in a tweet.

“Making progress,” Trump wrote, adding that a “four week extension would be best!”

“We had a long and detailed meeting,” Schumer said in a statement. “We discussed all of the major outstanding issues, we made some progress, but we still have a good number of disagreements. The discussions will continue.”

According to a White House source, Schumer arrived in the Oval Office and presented the president with a list of demands on domestic issues that went well beyond just DACA. The president listened to Schumer and appeared perplexed as Schumer rattled off his agenda items, the source said. The president told Schumer he wasn’t going to get all of those demands in a spending bill.

Schumer, the source said, did appear open to considering a continuing resolution that would keep the government funded for five days. The official White House position is still a 30-day extension.

Office of Management and Budget Director Mick Mulvaney on Friday accused the Democrats of opposing a bill that contains nothing they are against.

“They don’t oppose anything in the bill, but they are opposing the bill,” Mulvaney said, pointing to popular measures in the bill such as funding for the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP).

Democrats seemed to be aware of the importance of messaging, with Sen. Ed Markey, D-Mass., taking to the Senate floor with an image declaring the logjam a “Trump Shutdown,” quoting a tweet from President Trump from May saying “our country needs a good ‘shutdown.'”

Markey blasted Republicans complaining about the threat of a shutdown, telling them to “spare me your crocodile tears.”

The Republican-dominated House of Representatives passed a one-month bill Thursday night by a vote of 230-197 that broke down largely along party lines, with 11 Republicans voting no and six Democrats voting yes.

Senate Democrats have said that Democrats want any spending bill to include a fix for DACA. Trump repealed the order in September, and gave Congress a deadline of March to come up with a legislative fix.

“Unless we pass the #DreamAct, I won’t support another short-term funding bill,” Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., tweeted Thursday. “Our Dreamers have waited far too long for a chance to be a part of this country’s future.”

Republicans had hoped to back Democrats into a corner by attaching a six-year CHIP extension to the bill. But Democrats have so far refused to budge.

Republicans have repeatedly put the blame firmly on Democrats’ positioning on DACA as the reason for the looming shutdown.

“Apparently they believe the issue of illegal immigration is more important than anything else, than the government services the American people depend on,” McConnell said.

President Trump has repeatedly urged Congress to keep the government open, warning that a shutdown will harm the U.S. military. The White House announced that Trump would not travel to Florida, as previously scheduled, until the continuing resolution is signed.

What caused the Democrats to shut down OUR Government?

On June 15, 2012, President Obama issued an executive order enacting his Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, which essentially put into effect various aspects of the DREAM Act. Specifically, the DACA order gave lawful permanent residency status and work authorization to anyone who: (a) had arrived in America illegally as a minor; (b) had lived in the U.S. for at least five years; (c) was either a current student or a high-school graduate; or (d) had served in the military and was not yet 35 years old.

With this executive order, Obama did precisely what he had said, numerous times, that he had no constitutional authority to do. For example, in a July 2011 speech to the National Council of La Raza, the president stated: “Now, I know some people want me to bypass Congress and change the laws on my own. Believe me, the idea of doing things on my own is very tempting. I promise you. Not just on immigration reform. But that’s not how our system works. That’s not how our democracy functions. That’s not how our Constitution is written.”

Why would Obama have done something like that?

Simple. He was preparing to capitalize on predicted future migratory trends in order to grow his political party.

Obama created a charity which rewarded the breaking and entering of our Sovereign Country at American Taxpayers’ expense.

And now, rather than secure our country’s Southern Border and fund our Best and Brightest, our American Armed Forces, the Far Left Democratic Party has shut down our Federal Government in defense of 800,000 ILLEGAL ALIENS.

And, here is the most paradoxical and hypocritical part of this whole fiasco: The Democrats couldn’t give a ticker’s damn about the “Dreamers” as individuals. They are simply a “political tool” which they are using en masse to continue the “radical change” begun under the Obama Administration…forcefully devolving America from a Constitutional Republic to a Democratic Socialist Third World S—hole.

The Democrats kept on pursuing their tone-deaf political strategy of the defense of DACA, believing that the Republicans would cave in,

What they underestimated, or perhaps completely overlooked, blocked by their upturned snooty noses, was the backbone and determination of “Citizen Statesman” Donald J. Trump, the 45th president of the United States of America.

As Trump has proven in the last almost 13 months, he does not participate in the usual Political Games, which have been played for decades up on Capitol Hill.

What we have been witnessing for the past year, is a battle between tired political strategy, which has only succeeded in harming our nation and not helping it, and the tools which a non-politician has brought to the Presidency: courage conviction, common sense, and “the Art of the Deal”.

Trump has been playing a game of chicken with Congressional Democrats and their enablers, the Vichy Republicans…and, they blinked first.

Trump has made Congress work harder for their money, while inadvertently showing their colors to their constituencies, than any president has in decades.

The bottom line is that the politically bestowed “rights” of these “Dreamers” do not supersede the right of Americans to secure our Southern Border and becoming an American Citizen is NOT A RIGHT.

It is a privilege.
