Trump Uses Rose Garden Presser to Attack Biden on Policy Proposals and History With China…Biden Campaign and Twitter Trolls Retaliate

files_08e7c2a337

FoxNews.com reports that

President Trump veered off-script Tuesday after announcing new legislation against China to attack presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden for his recent policy proposals – accusing Biden of aligning his campaign with Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and other progressive leaders.

In comments similar to those made at campaign rallies, Trump laid into his Democratic rival for his policy proposal on immigration, criminal justice reform and climate change among other issues.

“Biden has gone radical left,” Trump said in the Rose Garden as he maligned the proposals laid out by the Biden campaign over the last week. “There’s never been a time when two candidates were so different.”

The Biden campaign later fired back at Trump’s comments, saying: “Today’s statement that was ostensibly supposed to be about China, but there was one topic that President Trump couldn’t seem to get off his mind: Joe Biden, whose name the President invoked nearly 30 times. The whole sad affair says more about Donald Trump than he said about any particular topic.”

“What we heard in the Rose Garden today wasn’t a president at all. It was a politician who sees his reelection slipping away from him and who is furious that his own botched response to the coronavirus pandemic has denied him the campaign events he so craves.”

“The American taxpayer should be reimbursed for the abuse of funds this spectacle represented,” the campaign said, adding that “a real leader” — referring to Biden — spoke earlier in Wilmington. “He offered the American people a positive, inspiring vision for our future where we don’t have to choose between confronting our existential climate crisis and creating millions of good-paying, union jobs at the same time.”

Trump’s comments come hours after Biden released a $2 trillion plan on Tuesday to boost investment in clean energy and stop all climate-damaging emissions from U.S. power plants by 2035.

“When Donald Trump thinks about climate change, the only word he can muster is ‘hoax,'” Biden told reporters. “When I think about climate change, what I think of is jobs.”

The climate package added to a series of detailed policy proposals Biden has released, including a $700 billion plan unveiled last week that would increase government purchasing of U.S.-based goods and invest in new research and development to frame a contrast with Trump, who has struggled to articulate a vision for a second term in the White House.

Biden’s proposal on Tuesday didn’t go as far as some measures in the Green New Deal, the sweeping proposal from progressives in Congress that calls for achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across the economy by 2030.

Trump on Tuesday also continued to harangue Biden as “weak” on his stance toward China.

“So Joe Biden and President Obama freely allowed China to pillage our factories, plunder our communities and steal our most precious secrets,” Trump said, adding, “I’ve stopped it largely.”

Trump added that Biden’s entire career in politics had been a “gift to the Chinese Communist Party.”

And there, in a nutshell, boys and girls, is the difference between Trump and Biden.

Trump brought back America’s economy before the Chinese Coronavirus hit by emphasizing America’s existing energy resources and in the process created new jobs and brought gas prices way down, where they have stayed.

Biden wants to renew Obama’s failed Energy strategies, which led to failed companies like GreenTech Automotive, which was run by Clinton Crony Terry McAuliffe.

As far as what was said during the president’s address in the Rose Garden, I know of no law governing what the President may or many not say in public and the location where he can say it.

I am writing this post after I got home from work last night, so I did not get to hear what the President said.

I did get to see the Liberal reactions on Twitter from Jim Acosta and the other whiney babies, and that told me that Trump shot his political arrows square in the center of the bullseye during his Rose Garden Speech yesterday.

One of the arguments that the Twitter Trolls used yesterday was that if Obama had used the Rose Garden like that, Conservatives would have been complaining about it.

The thing about Obama was, he didn’t just call his political enemies stupid, he called average Americans stupid for “bitterly clinging to our guns and bibles”.

At least President Trump actually likes being around us.

Joe Biden has had 47 years on Capitol Hill to make a difference in the lives of average Americans and he hasn’t done squat.

President Trump has accomplished more of behalf of the American people in three and one-half years that Joe Biden has in a lifetime.

No wonder Jim Acosta and the rest of the Twitter Trolls are so upset.

CDC Says That Some Essential Workers Exposed to COVID-19 But Not Showing Symptoms Can Go Back to Work…That’s a Good Beginning…

https://twitter.com/dbongino/status/1248046167419731968

FoxNews.com reports that

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced new coronavirus guidance Wednesday saying some essential workers who have been exposed to COVID-19 but are not showing symptoms can return to work.

Each worker would need to take his or her temperature twice a day for signs of a fever and wear a face mask at work and out in public to prevent the spread of the virus, Dr. Robert Redfield, the director of the CDC, said at Wednesday’s White House coronavirus briefing.

Redfield said the guidance was an effort to “really begin to get these critical workers back into the workforce so that we won’t have worker shortage in these critical industries,” including first responders, health-care workers, food supply workers and more.

The CDC also was encouraging employers to take their employees’ temperatures at the beginning of the workday and send home any workers who showed symptoms. In addition, officials said buildings should increase their air exchange and increase the frequency of how they clean common rooms and areas.

Employees still have been discouraged from congregating in break rooms, lunchrooms or any large gathering spaces, Redfield said.

The new considerations by the CDC signaled the slightest hope for a return to normalcy in the U.S. even as the death toll reached 13,929 and the country continues to grapple with 404,352 cases of the virus.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, told Fox News’ “America’s Newsroom” on Wednesday that if the social distancing strategies implemented through the end of April are successful in slowing the curve and spread of coronavirus, the government could start to peel back some of the restrictions in the weeks to come.

“If, in fact, we are successful, it makes sense to at least plan what a re-entry into normality would look like,” Fauci told Fox News. “That doesn’t mean we’re going to do it right now, but it means we need to be prepared to ease into that.”

Even though “we’re starting to see some glimmers of hope,” the United States needs to “keep pushing on the mitigation strategies,” Fauci said, reiterating that tactics such as social distancing need to continue because “there is no doubt that that’s having a positive impact on the dynamics of the outbreak.”

Fauci, a member of the White House Coronavirus Task Force, said that although the death toll is staggering in the U.S. — and third to only Italy and Spain with the highest number of deceased — “the deaths generally lag by a couple of weeks behind what’s fueling the outbreak, namely the number of new cases and the number of hospitalizations.”

Still, health officials, including Fauci, remain skeptical of reopening the country’s economy too soon, as recent studies suggest that some people who are infected with the virus do not show any symptoms, while others who have developed symptoms of COVID-19 and recovered may remain contagious.

Fauci told reporters during a press briefing Sunday that between 25 and 50 percent of infected Americans are not exhibiting symptoms of the virus.

“That is an estimate. I don’t have any scientific data yet to say that,” he added.

Good news for “essential workers”.

However, for those who suffer from out-of-control Trump Derangement Syndrome, the Coronavirus Outbreak and the resulting economic blow America has taken, (and, I can’t believe I am saying this about fellow Americans) has been just the “break” that they have been looking for.

I absolutely hate to speak of this horrible pandemic, which looks as if it may not take as many American lives as was predicted, thank God, in political terms.

However, if the external enemies of America, like the Chinese Government, and her internal enemies, who lust for the political power of the White House in order to turn us into a Marxist nation had their way, I absolutely believe that they would cheer another Great Depression, such as my parents struggled through with their parents., in order to regain the White House.

Look at what we have witnessed so far:

Nancy Pelosi and Adam Schiff wanting to form committees to attempt to set up another impeachment of President Trump for anything they thing he may have done wrong in the handling of this pandemic.

The Governor of New York wanting more ventilators while thousands were found that had already been delivered.

The Main Stream Media attacking the President and Vice-President during the Coronavirus Taskforce Daily Briefings and any other opportunity they have.

China lying about the Coronavirus and the head of the WHO swearing to it.

The cost of human life during this pandemic has been horrible enough without it being made into a political weapon.

It is time to start slowly and judiciously reclaiming our nation and to restart what was a booming economy.

We are Americans.

GOD’S GOT THIS.

Choosing TDS Over Country, CNN’s Harwood Attacks Trump for Standing Up to Reporter From Chinese Gov’t-Owned TV Station

J8uADIum

FoxNews.com reports that

CNN reporter John Harwood suggested on Tuesday that President Trump showed authoritarian tendencies for questioning the legitimacy of a reporter who peppered him with questions about his cooperation with China.

During Monday’s coronavirus task force briefing, an unidentified reporter for Hong Kong-based Phoenix TV addressed Trump: “Mr. President, only last week there were multiple flights coming from China, full of medical supplies. Companies like Huawei and Ali Baba have been donating to the United States like $1.5 million, N95 masks, and also a lot of medical gloves, and much more medical supplies.”

“Sounds like a statement more than a question,” Trump replied. The reporter went on to cite a Chinese ambassador’s op-ed calling for cooperation with the United States. “Are you personally, working directly with China?” she asked.

After Trump cited his trade agreement with China, the reporter again asked whether he was cooperating with China. “Who are you working for? China?” Trump responded.

On CNN’s “New Day,” Harwood cited the exchange as part of a pattern of “lashing out, again, at the legitimacy of criticism itself.”

“He went after a reporter and said do you work for China? … This is the kind of thing he did, we remember, in 2016 when he said, well, it’s a Mexican judge, I’m trying to build a wall, they can’t be fair. That is not the case. There is expertise within the government.

“He has disregarded that expertise. And now he’s trying — I think he feels a sense of injustice that the good conditions that he was running for re-election on have been taken away and he’s reacting, in a way, frankly, that authoritarian leaders behave. You can’t question me, I’m the leader of the country, what I say is true.”

Phoenix TV is partially owned by a company backed by China’s government, and U.S. intelligence has reportedly identified the station as a propaganda outlet.

In 2005,  The Washington Post reported that Phoenix TV CEO Liu Changle served in the People’s Liberation Army and worked as a “military journalist” for Central People’s Radio, a state-owned outlet that was later renamed “China National Radio.” The Hoover Institution at Stanford University previously labeled Phoenix TV as “quasi-official” state media, adding it was “completely controlled by Chinese government.”

Curtis Houck, managing editor for the conservative website Newsbusters, wasn’t surprised by Harwood’s statement.

“There is no bottom for liberal ‘journalists’ like Harwood,” Houck told Fox News on Tuesday.

“It was ludicrous that CNN hired him and he’s continued to beclown himself by standing up for the authoritarian, communist regime due to his deep-seated disdain for Trump. It’s harder to find a worse example of Trump Derangement Syndrome then choosing Beijing over Washington simply because of who’s the U.S. President.”

In a 2005 interview with the Post, Phoenix TV’s Liu Changle openly discussed the “tightrope” he was walking in dealing with the Beijing government.

“If we do everything the government wants, people will treat us with contempt,” he reportedly said. “If we follow the people completely, the government will wipe us out … It can be very uncomfortable.”

Other organizations have shed light on the outlet’s ties to China’s government. A research analyst from Freedom House, a pro-democracy group, previously testified that the outlet’s coverage is “typically favorable” to the Chinese Communist Party and airs televised confessions of the party’s critics.

“Such coverage is perhaps not coincidental, considering that CCTV reportedly holds a 10 percent stake in Phoenix,” a research analyst from the group said.

The depth of their grief and the blind rage of their ensuing temper tantrum has, without a doubt, wiped out any vestiges of journalistic integrity that remained after decades of being the Propaganda Arm of the Democratic Party.

President-elect Trump will never be able to please the Main Stream Media.

Nor should he have to.

The Presidency of the United States of America is the most important leadership position on the Face of God’s Green Earth.

The Main Stream Media knows that.

The problem is the Main Stream Media is still having a conniption fit (Southern colloquialism for being upset over something to the point insanity) over the election of Donald J. Trump as the next President by us rubes here in Flyover Country.

The Main Stream Media not only lost their meal ticket with the defeat of the Queen of Mean, Hillary Clinton, but they also have been “punked” for  last three years by Donald J. Trump, who treats them like a school of Largemouth Bass, baiting the hook with the promise of a big announcement or story, causing them to pack the room wherever Trump is speaking, only to find out that they have been used to gain free publicity for Mr. Trump and whatever cause he is trying to forward that day.

Or, refusing to play nice with them when they slander him.

As I have noted before, Trump has made the Media look tremendously naïve and stupid on several occasions, in scenes reminiscent of Lucy Van Pelt promising to hold the football for Charlie Brown to kick, only to pull it away at the last minute leaving a helpless Charlie Brown to wipe out, tumbling head over heels.

The Main Stream Media are no longer in control of the dissemination of the news…and they know it.

Between Trump’s playing them like Charlie Daniels playing a fiddle and average Americans becoming their own reporters through the use of Social Media, “professional journalists” have watched their influence over the daily lives of Americans dwindle and diminish right before their very eyes.

Unfortunately, the lies will just keep on coming from both the Democratic Party and their Propaganda Arm, the Main Stream Media.

Like the attention-seeking spoiled brats that they are, the Main Stream Media believe that they can get away with anything…even defending a representative of the country which has caused a worldwide pandemic.

That is why grandstanding idiots like Harwood feel ’empowered” to show the entire world their backside and to be everything but professional toward the President of the United States of America.

Harwood and grandstanding grieving Democratic Propagandists like him are why President Trump decided to pull the plug on the normal daily White House Press Briefings to begin with.

Americans want their news to be just that: Information about the events going on around them, delivered by unbiased professional reporters.

If they want to see two guys yell nonsensically at each other, they will tune into the WWE’s “Monday Night Raw” or Tuesday Night’s “Smackdown Live”.

Americans are now living in a time when the Main Stream Media’s blatant propaganda is no longer believed at face value, as the evidence which refutes it is appearing in the live videos and photographs being shared on Facebook and other Social Media.

Average Americans are winning the war against the “New Fascism” of the Tyranny of the Minority by the sharing of information through Social Media.

Self-righteous Liberals, masquerading as Broadcast “Journalists”, like Harwood and the rest of the Main Stream Media, need to wake up and smell what they’re shoveling before their version of “Broadcast Journalism” goes the way of the dinosaurs…

…after the Americans who are still watching tune them out to watch cat videos on Facebook.

Trump Attempts to Calm Fears, Is What We’re Experiencing Being Encouraged by “Enemies Foreign and Domestic”?

1800x1200_coronavirus_1

FoxNews.com reports that

President Trump told Americans on Sunday that “there’s no need to hoard” supplies, amid concerns of potential food or supply shortages as more states and cities announced restrictions to contain the coronavirus.

The president said during a White House briefing after speaking with heads of food suppliers: “You don’t have to buy so much, take it easy, just relax.”

Trump added: “We’re doing great, it all will pass.”

Trump assured Americans that grocers would remain open and that the supply chain remained healthy. Vice President Mike Pence urged Americans to buy only the groceries they needed for the week ahead.

The Federal Reserve took emergency action Sunday to help the economy withstand the coronavirus by slashing its benchmark interest rate to near zero and saying it would buy $700 billion in Treasury and mortgage bonds. The Fed’s surprise announcement signaled its concern that the viral outbreak will depress economic growth in the coming months and that it is prepared to do whatever it can counter the risks.

The president saluted the move.

“It’s a big step, I am very happy they did it,” said Trump during the press conference. “It brings us in line with other countries,” he said, referring the Fed cutting rates to near zero in a historic move in response to the COVID-19 crisis.

“There are a lot of people on Wall Street that are very happy,” Trump noted, adding that he would ease up on his criticism of the Fed and Chairman Jerome Powell.

The virus has an incubation period of anywhere from two days to 14 days before symptoms emerge. The death toll in the United States is more than 50.

The number of coronavirus cases in the United States is now more than 3,100 across 49 states on Sunday, The New York Times reported.

For most people, the new coronavirus causes only mild or moderate symptoms, such as fever and cough. For some, especially older adults and people with existing health problems, it can cause more severe illness, including pneumonia. The worldwide outbreak has sickened more than 156,000 people and left more than 5,800 dead.

The vast majority of people recover. According to the World Health Organization, people with mild illness recover in about two weeks, while those with more severe illness may take three weeks to six weeks to recover.

The surge of coronavirus cases throughout the United States and around the globe has brought the world to a practical standstill.

Life in the United States has dramatically changed in just a week.

From work to entertainment to even worship, several aspects of American life have been reordered as health officials encourage the public to carry out “social distancing” to prevent the spread of the infection.

Trump has suggested that restrictions on travel within the U.S. to areas hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic could be next.

On Sunday afternoon, New York City announced that its public school system, the largest of its kind in the nation, would close for the time being.

Travelers returning to the U.S. after the Trump administration imposed a wide-ranging ban on people entering from Europe faced waiting times lasting hours for medical screenings. Images on social media showed packed arrival halls and winding lines.

As I sit down to write on this Sunday night, the governors of Illinois and Ohio and considering closing down restaurants, leaving them open for take-home traffic only.

Walmarts across several states are closing from 11 p.m. – 6 a.m. in order to be able to restock their shelves.

In my hometown of Memphis, the mayor has closed the public libraries and the Senior Centers.

Our county school system in Northwest Mississippi, in which my wife works as a Special Education Teaching Assistant, has decided to remain closed this week after having last week off for Spring Break. The good news is that all of the hourly employees will be paid.

And, yesterday, churches across the country opted to go live on line from empty sanctuaries rather than risk exposing their members to the virus.

As I was sitting in my recliner yesterday morning, before my wife got up, I noticed that eerie sort of glow outside, kind of yellowish, as a result of a gloomy overcast day.

The ambience it created and my own thoughts about the crisis which we as country are experiencing, made me feel as if I was in the middle of a bad Outer Limits episode.

This entire situation could not have turned out better for the internal and external enemies of our Sovereign Nation and the freedom of the individual which it represents.

The shutting down of Houses of Worship and the restrictions being placed on the everyday freedoms which we normally enjoy as American Citizens are like something out of a totalitarian nightmare.

Now, I fully support what the President and the learned members of the Coronavirus Taskforce are doing in order to minimize the effect that this modern day plague will have on our country.

However, after watching the ongoing toilet paper hoarding insanity at my local Walmart, and all of the chaos and disruption which we are witnessing throughout America, I am beginning to believe that what we might be dealing with is the accidental (I hope) release of a Chinese bioweapon.

You have got to know that the Chinese are seriously ticked off that President Trump refuses to allow them to run over us economically as they have in the past.

That’s what may be happening externally.

Internally, we have already witnessed Nancy Pelosi attempt to stick Abortion Funding in the Coronavirus Stimulus Bill.

How easy would it be during this crisis for Democratic Politicians on the local, state, and national level to intentionally tank the economy in order to damage President Trump so that one of the two losers they have as potential Presidential Candidates, Biden and Sanders, might have a better chance to win in November?

If you do not believe that the Democrats would intentionally harm our country for the sake of political expediency, you have not been paying attention for the last three years.

Now, I may be just spitballin’ about the situation which our Sovereign Nation finds itself in.

However, I do know one thing for certain with all of my heart:

GOD’S GOT THIS!!!

First US Coronavirus Case of Unknown Origin Confirmed in North California, Trump Holds Press Conference…What Should We Do?

trump-keeps-his-coronavirus-news-conference-focused-on-one-high-risk-patient-himself

“Because of all we’ve done, the risk to the American people remains very low. We’re ready to adapt, and we’re ready to do whatever we have to.” – President Donald J. Trump

FoxNews.com reports that

The nation’s first coronavirus case of unknown origin has been confirmed in Northern California, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) confirmed Wednesday.

“It is a confirmed case. There is one in Northern California,” CDC spokesman Scott Pauley told the Sacramento Bee.

The new case brings the number of infected in the United States to 60, which includes people who’ve been repatriated to the U.S. The CDC said the person contracted the virus without traveling outside the U.S. or coming into close contact with another infected patient, The Washington Post reported.

The news comes as fear over the virus continues to spread worldwide, prompting governments to take extreme measures. President Trump said a vaccine was being developed and “coming along very well” during a Wednesday evening news conference at the White House.

He announced that he was putting Vice President Mike Pence in charge of the coronavirus task force.

“Because of all we’ve done, the risk to the American people remains very low,” Trump told reporters. “We’re ready to adapt, and we’re ready to do whatever we have to.”

Earlier this week, San Francisco and Orange counties both declared states of emergency in efforts to prevent further infections. Orange County leaders also publically supported a bid by Costa Mesa leaders to block infected patients from being housed in their city.

Globally, nearly 2,800 people have died from the outbreak and more than 80,000 have been sickened.

It has been interesting following the developments as this virus has spread from China to other countries including Iran and Italy.

And now, it appears that Northern California is the scene of the first “outbreak” in America.

The loss of life in these other countries has indeed been tragic.

However, so has been the politicization of the Coronavirus as another opportunity for the Democrats to blame something on President Donald J. Trump.

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi put down her glass long enough to spout the following babble per Breitbart.com

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) on Wednesday accused the Trump administration of responding “too late” to halt the possible spread of China’s deadly coronavirus in the United States.

“This is shameful,” Pelosi told reporters on Capitol Hill when asked about the administration sending a $2.5 billion supplemental budget request to combat the illness. “He puts forth a proposal now that is meager, anemic in terms of addressing this. Ebola, we did $5 billion. And now they’re trying to take the Ebola money and spend it here.”

“Hopefully we can make up for the loss of time…and not be using scare tactics about people coming back to our country.”

“What he’s doing is late, too late, anemic,” she added. “Hopefully, we can make up for the loss of time but we have to have professionals in place, resources that are adequate and not use scare tactics about people coming back to our country.”

The administration’s request proposes spending unused funds earmarked to fight Ebola, with officials seeking $1.25 billion in new money for vaccine development and purchasing protective equipment.

Asked for her thoughts on President Donald Trump’s comments about the coronavirus, Pelosi replied tersely: “I don’t think the President knows what he’s talking about. Once again.”

And, I think you’re drunk, Madam Speaker. But, what else is new.

Now, as an America male in my early 60s, who is in front of the public all day, a new virus strain does indeed concern me, especially since I am asthmatic, am prone to upper respiratory infections, and I tend to get very tired in the process of performing the duties of my day job.

However, I do not believe that it is time to panic…yet.

Why did the scene from the 1975 Classic Comedy “Airplane” where the passengers are “assuming crash position”, running berserk through the cabin suddenly enter my mind?

Anyway, Dr. Manny Alvarez serves as Fox News Channel’s senior managing health editor. He also serves as chairman of the department of obstetrics/gynecology and reproductive science at Hackensack University Medical Center in New Jersey.

Here are some facts and some common sense suggestions from an article which he wrote for FoxNews.com

  1. Let’s start with facts. What do we know so far about this virus?

  2. It is a very contagious virus — just like any flu virus — and appears to transmit itself very similarly through direct contact with infected patients.

  3. In otherwise healthy individuals the viral infection is tolerated and most patients recover without any significant effects.

  4. For about 20 percent of patients who do require medical attention (such as hospitalization) with good medical treatment and support they will ultimately recover from the virus.

About two percent of patients infected with the virus will die from upper respiratory complications.

Based on the facts above, until there is a vaccine, the war to protect ourselves will need to be waged by individuals and the government. We’ll need to keep informed about what areas of the United States are reporting cases of coronavirus. And, everyone should always consider practicing good hygiene. That includes doing the following:

  1. Avoid those people who are sick with the virus

  2. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth

  3. Practice good hand hygiene — wash your hands with soap and warm water for at least 2 minutes

  4. Disinfect surfaces

I read yesterday that Lysol is the recommended disinfectant to help prevent the spread of diseases like the coronavirus.

In summary, per usual, Pelosi and the Democrats have put politics over country, self-interest of Americans and our well-being. I am thankful that our President is Donald J. Trump with this uncertainty facing us. I shudder to think about how Hillary Clinton would deal with this situation, especially since she would have doubled down on Obamacare by now, leaving us and our American Health System totally screwed.

Keep yourself as protected as possible.

Gob bless us…everyone.

Until He Comes,

An Attitude of Ingratitude: Why Trump Was Right to Respond to LaVar Ball

lavar-ball-donald-trump-war-twitter

Most people return small favors, acknowledge medium ones and repay greater ones – with ingratitude. – Benjamin Franklin

Which is your top priority in life, the welfare of your children or your politics?

FoxNews.com reports that

President Trump on Sunday responded to the father of one of the UCLA basketball players detained in China on shoplifting charges after the man snubbed the president’s successful effort to get the teammates released, saying, “I should have left them in jail.”

The president responded after LaVar Ball, the outspoken father of UCLA player LiAngelo Ball, downplayed Trump’s effort.

Trump said while on his recent trip to Asia, at the same time the players allegedly shoplifted in China during a basketball tournament, that he had spoken directly with Chinese President Xi Jinping about the matter.

“Who?” LaVar Ball later told ESPN. “What was he over there for? Don’t tell me nothing. Everybody wants to make it seem like he helped me out.”

Trump tweeted Sunday: “Now that the three basketball players are out of China and saved from years in jail, LaVar Ball, the father of LiAngelo, is unaccepting of what I did for his son and that shoplifting is no big deal. I should have left them in jail!”

Later Sunday, Trump tweeted again, saying, “Shoplifting is a very big deal in China, as it should be (5-10 years in jail), but not to father LaVar. Should have gotten his son out during my next trip to China instead. China told them why they were released. Very ungrateful!”

LiAngelo Ball, one of three UCLA players accused of shoplifting, thanked the president upon returning last week to the United States.

Freshmen Ball, Jalen Hill and Cody Riley arrived at Los Angeles International Airport on Tuesday from Shanghai. They each thanked Trump during a press conference Wednesday about the incident.

The players were detained in Hangzhou for questioning following allegations, before the 23rd-ranked UCLA Bruins beat Georgia Tech in their season-opening game in Shanghai as part of the Pac-12 China game. The rest of the UCLA team returned home earlier.

Trump said Tuesday he had a long conversation about the three players’ status with his Chinese counterpart.

Ball’s outspoken father, LaVar, whose eldest son, Lonzo, plays on the NBA’s Los Angeles Lakers team, was in China at the time of the incident. He spent some time promoting the family’s Big Baller Brand of athletic shoes.

The word “ungrateful” hardly covers LaVar Ball’s reaction to the President recuing his son and two other UCLA Basketball Players from serving 4-10 years in a Chinese Jail.

Like some many other self-proclaimed “Smartest People in the Room”, Ball has allowed his visceral hatred of the 45th President of the United States of America, along with his own oversized ego, to present a crystal-clear explanation to the world as to whom his son inherited his lack of a moral compass from.

Being a college basketball fan, and a graduate of a university with a storied basketball history, I have watched athletes arrive to a school with their head two sizes too big, jacked up by an entourage, or “posse”, and doting parents with dollar signs in their eyes.

Of course, this places the university and the basketball coach at a disadvantage from the get-go, because a loud mouth such as Ball will never let them properly discipline their future ticket to millions of dollars.

It will be interesting to see what Ball has to say about any discipline which may be measured out to his “pride and joy” by UCLA.

President Trump’s response to this blowhard was spot on.

It is past time to stop ignoring boorish behavior by the American Left.

It is time to call them out on it.

And, Trump’s ability to do that is one of the things which average Americans appreciated about him, leading to his victory in the 2016 Presidential Election.

On another point, I have a question:

What did this fool think that he was accomplishing by showboating and being an ingrate?

If he wanted attention, he certainly got it.

It may have built up his “street cred”, however, it did cast aspersions on his sanity and raised the possibility of a double-digit I.Q.

Has the hatred of American Liberals so corrupted them, that they cannot even thank a United States President for saving their child from being locked away for years in a foreign prison?

At least his son said “thank you” to President Ttump.

Although, the University probably made him so it.

The Rhetoric Ratchets Up: China Wants Us to Let North Korea “Shoot First”. Of Course, They Do.

N-Korea-Reset-600-LI

“North Korea is looking for trouble. If China decides to help, that would be great. If not, we will solve the problem without them! U.S.A.” – President Donald J. Trump, 4 months ago

Reuters.com reports that

If North Korea launches an attack that threatens the United States then China should stay neutral, but if the United States attacks first and tries to overthrow North Korea’s government China will stop them, a Chinese state-run newspaper said on Friday.

President Donald Trump ratcheted up his rhetoric toward North Korea and its leader on Thursday, warning Pyongyang against attacking Guam or U.S. allies after it disclosed plans to fire missiles over Japan to land near the U.S. Pacific territory.

China, North Korea’s most important ally and trading partner, has reiterated calls for calm during the current crisis. It has expressed frustration with both Pyongyang’s repeated nuclear and missile tests and with behavior from South Korea and the United States that it sees as escalating tensions.

The widely read state-run Global Times, published by the ruling Communist Party’s official People’s Daily, wrote in an editorial that Beijing is not able to persuade either Washington or Pyongyang to back down.

“It needs to make clear its stance to all sides and make them understand that when their actions jeopardize China’s interests, China will respond with a firm hand,” said the paper, which does not represent government policy.

“China should also make clear that if North Korea launches missiles that threaten U.S. soil first and the U.S. retaliates, China will stay neutral,” it added.

“If the U.S. and South Korea carry out strikes and try to overthrow the North Korean regime and change the political pattern of the Korean Peninsula, China will prevent them from doing so.”

China has long worried that any conflict on the Korean peninsula, or a repeat of the 1950-53 Korean war, could unleash a wave of destabilizing refugees into its northeast, and could end up with a reunified county allied with the United States.

North Korea is a useful buffer state for China between it and U.S. forces based in South Korea, and also across the sea in Japan.

The Global Times said China will “firmly resist any side which wants to change the status quo of the areas where China’s interests are concerned”.

“The Korean Peninsula is where the strategic interests of all sides converge, and no side should try to be the absolute dominator of the region.”

So, China wants us to let the Korean Madman, Kim Jong Un, “shoot first”.

I’m sure they do.

The question is,

Can we effectively shoot North Korea’s missile out of the sky?

In order to answer that question, I used my now-famous “Google Fu” and came up with articles from both NBC and CNN, which claimed that our Missile Defense System would allow some of the missiles to hit their targets.

In fact, CNN’s article read as if they were cheering for the North Koreans.

I knew Troop Derangement Syndrome was pervasive in the Main Stream Media, but I didn’t know one of its symptoms was treasonous propaganda.

One of the section headings in the article is “Calling America’s Bluff”.

Does the following post from Foxnews.com sound like we’re bluffing?

Defense Secretary Jim Mattis said Thursday that war with North Korea would be “catastrophic,” casting a dire tone after President Trump unleashed a string of warnings to the rogue nation.

“The American effort is diplomatically led, it has diplomatic traction, it is gaining diplomatic results and I want to stay right there right now,” Mattis said while speaking with reporters in Mountain View, California.

“The tragedy of war is well-enough known it doesn’t need another characterization beyond the fact that it would be catastrophic,” Mattis continued.

Secretary Mattis’ remarks followed days of escalating threats between North Korea and the U.S. When asked about the United States’ readiness if North Korea were to take action against the U.S. or another country, KNTV reported that Mattis replied: “I don’t tell the enemy in advance what I’m going to do … We’re ready.”

Mattis pointed out the United Nations Security Council’s unanimous vote last week to characterize North Korea’s statements as a “threat to the world’s community.”

“How often to do you see France, China, Russia, the U.S. voting unanimously on any issue?” Mattis asked.

Indeed.

For the past eight years, America’s enemies were having a big laugh among themselves at our expense.

First, Petulant President Pantywaist sent an ill-prepared Feminist Snob to deal with world leaders who viewed her as a rank amateur, riding the legacy and coat tails of her husband, the Former U.S. President.

Then, he replaced her with a traitorous gigolo who made his wealth by marrying into it. And, who made his fame by testifying against our own military.

And then, there was their boss, an individual who had never really held a job in the real world, and, as described in the book, “The Peter Principle”, had risen to his level of incompetence.

Those who despise America and what we stand for literally had their way for eight long years.

Now, in the span of 7 1/2 months, they have been slapped in the face by the cold realization that America is no longer their doormat and their threatening of our Sovereign Nation will no longer be tolerated.

America now has a President who says what he means and means what he says…and he has a Secretary of Defense who bears the nickname of “Mad Dog” for a good reason: He is a soldier. Not a pencil-pushing bureaucrat.

I hope that the Fat Brat in North Korea has been paying attention.

I also hope that China realizes that Petulant President Pantywaist is no longer propping his Air Jordans up on the Resolute Desk.

Otherwise, they are both about to have a very harsh “Reality Check”…as Toby Keith would say, “Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue”.

Kim Jong Un Flexes “Military Muscle” Again. Will Trump Order an Air Strike Against North Korea Soon?

coreia-do-norte (2)

I am very disappointed in China. Our foolish past leaders have allowed them to make hundreds of billions of dollars a year in trade, yet…

…they do NOTHING for us with North Korea, just talk. We will no longer allow this to continue. China could easily solve this problem! – President Donald J. Trump, Twitter, July 29, 2017

The Sun reports that

Donald Trump ‘is to order a military strike against North Korea within a year’ after Kim Jong-un’s military boasted it had fired a ballistic missile capable of hitting the US.

Senior military sources in Washington have reportedly claimed Pentagon officials have laid out plans to obliterate a nuclear weapons facility operating deep within a mountain range inside the rogue state.

The news comes hours after the US flew two supersonic bombers over the Korean Peninsula  in a show of force against North Korea.

The B-1 bombers were escorted by South Korean fighter jets as they performed a low-pass over an air base near the South Korean capital of Seoul before returning to the Andersen Air Force Base in Guam.

The US Air Force said the mission was a response to consecutive ICBM tests by Kim this month.

Analysts say flight data from the second test conducted Friday night showed that a broader part of mainland America, including Los Angeles and Chicago, is now in range of Pyongyang’s weapons.

“North Korea remains the most urgent threat to regional stability,” said Gen. Terrence J. O’Shaughnessy, Pacific Air Forces commander.

“Diplomacy remains the lead. However, we have a responsibility to our allies and our nation to showcase our unwavering commitment while planning for the worst-case scenario.”

He added: ” If called upon, we are ready to respond with rapid, lethal, and overwhelming force at a time and place of our choosing.”

The United States often sends powerful warplanes in times of heightened animosities with North Korea.

B-1 bombers have been sent to South Korea for flyovers several times this year in response to North Korea’s banned missile tests, and also following the death of a US college student after he was released by North Korean in a coma.

The Hwasong-14 ICBM, which the North first tested on July 4, is the highlight of several new weapons systems Pyongyang launched this year.

They include an intermediate range missile the North says is capable of hitting Alaska and Hawaii and a solid-fuel midrange missile, which analysts say can be fired faster and more secretly than liquid-fuel missiles.

Any future military action by Trump, which could spark retaliation attacks from dictator Kim, would be a major step towards all-out war to stop North Korea from developing nuclear weapons, reports the Mail on Sunday.

President Trump has vowed to ‘take all necessary steps’ to ensure the security of the US and its allies.

And a top military expert has revealed exactly how the US military will ‘take out’ North Korea’s nukes  if Donald Trump gives the green light for deadly strikes.

Trump reportedly sees North Korea and its despotic leader as his number one overseas challenge – and it is one he has pledged to tackle head-on.

Now a senior analyst from Stratfor – which provides strategic analysis to the US government – has told Business Insider exactly how Trump’s military could potentially carry out crippling strikes against the hermit kingdom.

The US would have to choose between a full-scale destruction of North Korea’s nuclear facilities and ground forces or a quicker attack on only the most important nuclear facilities.

As a full-scale attack could lead to “mission creep that could pull the US into a longterm conflict in East Asia,” according to Tack, it will focus on a surgical strike that would wipe out the bulk of North Korea’s nuclear forces.

The US is likely to use stealth aircraft like the F-22 and B-2 bomber for the pinpoint attack, he said.

In the run up to any attack, the US would position nuclear submarines, naval ships, and stealth aircraft at bases near North Korea.

“Suddenly you’d read on the news that the US has conducted these airstrikes,” said Tack.

While the F-22 and F-35 would certainly do work over North Korea missile production sites, it really a job for the B-2.

As a long-range bomber the B-2 could drop massive, 30,000lb bombs on deep underground bunkers setting off from bases as far away as Guam or the continental United States.

The initial targets would include nuclear reactors, missile production facilities, and launching pads for ICBMs, according to Tack.

Cruise missiles would be fired from the sea, F-22s would take out North Korea’s archaic air defences and B-2s would pound every known missile site.

Ever since President Trump “fired a warning shot” into that airbase in Syria, there has been a lot of hand-wringing, postulating, and prophesizing going on about the 45th President’s aggressive Foreign Policy.

As I have written several times before, a strong American President is essential to retaining the sovereignty of our country.

As a 22-year old College Senior, I was privileged to cast my first-ever vote in a National Election. That vote took place in November of 1980, and it was for the greatest American President in my lifetime, Ronald Wilson Reagan.

The popularity of President Reagan was not just limited to the boundaries of our nation. He was admired the world over. The things that he accomplished, along with his friends, Prime Minister of Britain Margaret Thatcher, Soviet Premier Mikhail Gorbachev, and Pope John Paul II, caused the decade of the 1980s to be recorded as a seminal moment in world history.

I remember watching President Reagan speak at the Berlin Wall. When he said, “Mr Gorbachev tear down this wall!”, I was never prouder to be an American and of an American president, than at that moment.

Liberals, around the world, lost their collective minds.

For you see, Liberal Leaders, just as they do now, hate it when Marxism gives way to Freedom.

Nothing bothers them more than when a strong American President is at the forefront of a conquering moment, when a strong foreign policy is based on the reality that negotiating from a position of strength is always more effective than negotiating from a position of weakness.

Fast forward to the last 8 years, during which an ineffective President Barack Hussein Obama was already looking like a fool, before Donald J. Trump was even elected as his successor, to a world who used to look to America as a bastion of strength and freedom, not weakness and political expediencies.

President Barack Hussein Obama left our Sovereign Nation in an untenable position with his weak and vacillating Smart Power Foreign Policy.

Those who used to cringe in their desert tents, while calling us the Great Satan, were laughing in our faces as they walked across our southern borders with the rest of the illegal immigrants, during King Obama The First’s reign.

That is, if Obama simply did not invite them to the White House and meet with them, as he did the Muslim Brotherhood.

Meanwhile, North Korea Dictator Kim-Jong-Il and his son, Kim Jong-Un, who succeeded him, kept on developing and testing nuclear weapons, in a concerted effort to, one day, be able to attack the United States of America with them.

And now, it appears that they may have developed a nuke that will be at least partially effective.

That is why the majority of Americans wanted to have a president who would man up and negotiate from a position of strength with both our friends and our enemies.

It appears that we have found him in President Donald J. Trump.

Unfortunately for our present safety as nation, Obama’s Fantasyland view of the world, which was not unlike the old Coca Cola Advertisement where everyone had a Coke and a smile, set him up to be a disastrous failure at Foreign Policy.

A failure, which finds our enemies in Iran still working on a nuclear bomb, Syrian President Assad using Chemical Weapons on his own people, and North Korean Leader Kim Jong-Un acting as if he actually believes that he can bring the United States of America to our knees.

Obama’s Foreign Policy Failure explains the resistance of foreign leaders to the possible Presidency of Donald J. Trump, even before his election.

It also explains all of their donations to the Clinton Foundation.

But, I digress…

Ronald Reagan, when he was “out on the stump” for Republican Presidential Candidate Barry Goldwater, in October of 1964, delivered a powerful speech titled, “A Time for Choosing”. At one point in that now-classic speech, he spoke about America’s role in the world, stating that

We cannot buy our security, our freedom from the threat of the bomb by committing an immorality so great as saying to a billion human beings now enslaved behind the Iron Curtain, “Give up your dreams of freedom because to save our own skins, we’re willing to make a deal with your slave masters.” Alexander Hamilton said, “A nation which can prefer disgrace to danger is prepared for a master, and deserves one.” Now let’s set the record straight. There’s no argument over the choice between peace and war, but there’s only one guaranteed way you can have peace — and you can have it in the next second — surrender.

…You and I know and do not believe that life is so dear and peace so sweet as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery. If nothing in life is worth dying for, when did this begin — just in the face of this enemy? Or should Moses have told the children of Israel to live in slavery under the pharaohs? Should Christ have refused the cross? Should the patriots at Concord Bridge have thrown down their guns and refused to fire the shot heard ’round the world? The martyrs of history were not fools, and our honored dead who gave their lives to stop the advance of the Nazis didn’t die in vain. Where, then, is the road to peace? Well it’s a simple answer after all.

You and I have the courage to say to our enemies, “There is a price we will not pay.” “There is a point beyond which they must not advance.” And this — this is the meaning in the phrase of Barry Goldwater’s “peace through strength.” Winston Churchill said, “The destiny of man is not measured by material computations. When great forces are on the move in the world, we learn we’re spirits — not animals.” And he said, “There’s something going on in time and space, and beyond time and space, which, whether we like it or not, spells duty.”

You and I have a rendezvous with destiny.

We’ll preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we’ll sentence them to take the last step into a thousand years of darkness.

Foreign Leaders, who like the advantage that they have gained, under the weak and vacillating Foreign Policy of Barack Hussein Obama, do not want the United States to regain our position as the Leader of the Free World.

And, they certainly do not want a President who will honor our friendship with our ally, Israel.

It was far more lucrative for them, when the United States “negotiated from a position of weakness”, when we had a vacillating dhimmi in the White House.

Now, they have to negotiate with an American President, one who places America and her best interests first, and one who is practicing “The Art of the Deal” by backing negotiations up with his commitment to “Peace Through Strength”.

I have taken a lot of flack for supporting President Trump’s aggressive stance.

I don’t care.

I will continue to support him, even if he bombs North Korea back into the Stone Age.

I would rather scare the crocodile back into the water than attempt to appease it, hoping it will eat me last.

Trump Calls for UN Meeting After North Korea Successfully Fires Missile From Mobile Launcher

gty-north-korea-missile-launch-04-jc-170307_31x13_1600

While no President can control the actions of other countries in handling their own affairs, the position of President of the United States has not historically been referred to as the Leader of the Free World for no reason.

That position has historically been the Vanguard in the fight against despotism and tyranny.

Unfortunately, for lovers of freedom the world over, instead of being the leader that the world and America itself needed, Barack Hussein Obama instead was an example of the Peter Principle.

He rose to his level of incompetence.

Obama believed in a “Chamberlain-esque” Foreign Policy of appeasement, consisting of vague warnings, pay-offs, and drawing red lines in the sand.

It didn’t work.

And now,the 45th President of the2 United States of America is trying to clean up the Foreign Affairs Mess that his predecessor left for him to deal with.

Foxnews.com reports that

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson vowed Tuesday that the U.S. would “never accept a nuclear-armed North Korea” while U.S. and South Korean forces held joint ballistic missile drills after the Communist nation successfully tested an intercontinental ballistic missile.

Tillerson also called for all nations to fully implement United Nations sanctions against North Korea, saying “global action is required to stop a global threat.”

Meanwhile, the U.S. military said it had conducted a “precision firing” demonstration off the coast of the Korean Peninsula in response to what it called North Korea’s “destabilizing and unlawful actions.”

Pentagon spokesman Dana White also condemned the missile test and reiterated that, “we remain prepared to defend ourselves and our allies and to use the full range of capabilities at our disposal against the growing threat from North Korea.”

President Trump did not directly mention North Korea or the missile launch during his Independence Day remarks at a picnic for military families on the South Lawn of the White House. However, he did note that “we do have challenges, but we will handle those challenges. Believe me.”

U.S., South Korean and Japanese officials say the North Korean missile flew for about 40 minutes and reached an altitude of 1,500 miles, which would be longer and higher than any similar North Korean test previously reported. It also covered a distance of about 580 miles.

A veteran North Korea watcher told Fox News Tuesday that the missile was fired from a mobile launcher, making such tests more difficult for the U.S. to track and disrupt.

“This is the big story we have all been waiting for,” Professor Bruce Bechtol of Angelo State University in Texas wrote in an email. “All of the paradigms have changed. It is now time to see what action the USA will take.”

Bechtol added that the mobile launcher “nearly destroys our warning time and also means that the North Koreans have a real shot at launching this system at us without us being able to destroy it on the ground.”

Shortly after news of the test broke Monday night, Trump tweeted, “North Korea has just launched another missile. Does this guy have anything better to do with his life? Hard to believe that South Korea and Japan will put up with this much longer. Perhaps China will put a heavy move on North Korea and end this nonsense once and for all!”

“This guy” presumably refers to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. China is North Korea’s economic lifeline and only major ally, and the Trump administration is pushing Beijing to do more to push the North toward disarmament.

The U.N. Security Council was due to hold an emergency meeting Wednesday afternoon to discuss its response to the launch. U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley tweeted her frustration at spending her Independence Day holiday in high-level meetings with the hashtag, “#ThanksNorthKorea.”

The missile test could invite a new round of international sanctions, but North Korea is already one of the most sanctioned countries on Earth. U.N. Security Council resolutions ban it from engaging in any ballistic activities. Since late 2012, North Korea has placed two satellites into orbit with long-range rockets, each time triggering new U.N. sanctions and worldwide condemnation.

Earlier Tuesday, the Chinese and Russian foreign ministries proposed that North Korea declare a moratorium on nuclear and missile tests while the United States and South Korea refrain from large-scale joint military exercises. North Korea views the exercises as preparation for an invasion and has repeatedly demanded their cancellation. It says it needs nuclear weapons and powerful missiles to cope with what it calls rising U.S. military threats.

Moscow and Beijing issued the proposal in a joint statement after talks between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

They urged other nations to create a “peaceful atmosphere of mutual trust” to encourage talks between the two sides on commitments not to use force and to make the Korean Peninsula free of nuclear weapons.

Regional disarmament talks on North Korea’s nuclear program have been deadlocked since 2009, when the North pulled out of the negotiations to protest international condemnation over a long-range rocket launch.

North Korea has a reliable arsenal of shorter-range missiles and is thought to have a small arsenal of atomic bombs, but is still trying to perfect its longer-range missiles. Some outside civilian experts believe the North has the technology to mount warheads on shorter-range Rodong and Scud missiles that can strike South Korea and Japan, two key U.S. allies where about 80,000 American troops are stationed. But it’s unclear if it has mastered the technology needed to build an atomic bomb that can fit on a long-range missile.

Ever since President Trump “fired a warning shot” into that airbase in Syria, there has been a lot of hand-wringing going on about the 45th President’s aggressive Foreign Policy.

On March 28, 1983, President Ronald Reagan spoke the following words in an address to the nation on Defense and National Security…

The defense policy of the United States is based on a simple premise: The United States does not start fights. We will never be an aggressor. We maintain our strength in order to deter and defend against aggression — to preserve freedom and peace. Since the dawn of the atomic age, we’ve sought to reduce the risk of war by maintaining a strong deterrent and by seeking genuine arms control. “Deterrence” means simply this: making sure any adversary who thinks about attacking the United States, or our allies, or our vital interests, concludes that the risks to him outweigh any potential gains. Once he understands that, he won’t attack. We maintain the peace through our strength; weakness only invites aggression.

This strategy of deterrence has not changed. It still works. But what it takes to maintain deterrence has changed. It took one kind of military force to deter an attack when we had far more nuclear weapons than any other power; it takes another kind now that the Soviets, for example, have enough accurate and powerful nuclear weapons to destroy virtually all of our missiles on the ground. Now, this is not to say that the Soviet Union is planning to make war on us. Nor do I believe a war is inevitable — quite the contrary. But what must be recognized is that our security is based on being prepared to meet all threats.

There was a time when we depended on coastal forts and artillery batteries, because, with the weaponry of that day, any attack would have had to come by sea. Well, this is a different world, and our defenses must be based on recognition and awareness of the weaponry possessed by other nations in the nuclear age.

…This approach to stability through offensive threat has worked. We and our allies have succeeded in preventing nuclear war for more than three decades. In recent months, however, my advisers, including in particular the Joint Chiefs of Staff, have underscored the necessity to break out of a future that relies solely on offensive retaliation for our security.Over the course of these discussions, I’ve become more and more deeply convinced that the human spirit must be capable of rising above dealing with other nations and human beings by threatening their existence. Feeling this way, I believe we must thoroughly examine every opportunity for reducing tensions and for introducing greater stability into the strategic calculus on both sides.

President.

And then, there was their boss, as I alluded to before, an individual who had never really held a job in the real world, and, as described in the book, “The Peter Principle”, had risen to his level of incompetence.

Those who despise America and what we stand for literally had their way for eight long years.

Fictional Red Lines drawn in the sand and “harshly-worded memos” will not stop a madman like Kim Jong Un from threatening the Sovereign Nations of the world.

The only thing that will is a strong leader, whose actions back up his words.

And, after 8 long years of suffering under Petulant President Pantywaist, America now has a President who is not afraid to talk boldly and with conviction to our enemies.

Now, in the seven month of the Presidency of Donald J. Trump, they are beginning to realize that America is no longer their doormat and their threatening of our Sovereign Nation will no longer be tolerated.

I hope that the Fat Brat in North Korea has been paying attention.

Otherwise, he is about to have a very harsh “Reality Check”…as Toby Keith would say,

Trump Says “Major Conflict Possible” With North Korea…But Prefers Diplomacy

NK-Missile-Test-600-LI

“Whatever comes from the U.S., we will cope with it. We are fully prepared to handle it.”

“If the U.S. comes with reckless military maneuvers, then we will confront it with the DPRK’s (North Korea’s) pre-emptive strike. We’ve got a powerful nuclear deterrent already in our hands and we certainly will not keep our arms crossed in the face of a U.S. pre-emptive strike.” – North Korea’s Vice Foreign Minister Han Song Ryol

Reuters.com reports that

U.S. President Donald Trump said on Thursday a major conflict with North Korea is possible in the standoff over its nuclear and missile programs, but he would prefer a diplomatic outcome to the dispute. “There is a chance that we could end up having a major, major conflict with North Korea. Absolutely,” Trump told Reuters in an Oval Office interview ahead of his 100th day in office on Saturday.

Nonetheless, Trump said he wanted to peacefully resolve a crisis that has bedeviled multiple U.S. presidents, a path that he and his administration are emphasizing by preparing a variety of new economic sanctions while not taking the military option off the table.

“We’d love to solve things diplomatically but it’s very difficult,” he said.

In other highlights of the 42-minute interview, Trump was cool to speaking again with Taiwan’s president after an earlier telephone call with her angered China. He also said he wanted South Korea to pay the cost of the U.S. THAAD anti-missile defense system, which he estimated at $1 billion.

He said he intended to renegotiate or terminate a U.S. free trade pact with South Korea because of a deep trade deficit with Seoul. Trump said he was considering adding stops to Israel and Saudi Arabia to a Europe trip next month, emphasizing he wanted to see an Israeli-Palestinian peace.

Trump said North Korea was his biggest global challenge. He lavished praise on Chinese President Xi Jinping for Chinese assistance in trying to rein in Pyongyang. The two leaders met in Florida earlier this month.

“I believe he is trying very hard. He certainly doesn’t want to see turmoil and death. He doesn’t want to see it. He is a good man. He is a very good man and I got to know him very well.

“With that being said, he loves China and he loves the people of China. I know he would like to be able to do something, perhaps it’s possible that he can’t,” Trump said.

‘I HOPE HE’S RATIONAL’

Trump spoke just a day after he and his top national security advisers briefed U.S. lawmakers on the North Korean threat and one day before Secretary of State Rex Tillerson will press the United Nations Security Council on sanctions to further isolate Pyongyang over its nuclear and missile programs.

The Trump administration on Wednesday declared North Korea “an urgent national security threat and top foreign policy priority.” It said it was focusing on economic and diplomatic pressure, including Chinese cooperation in containing its defiant neighbor and ally, and remained open to negotiations.

U.S. officials said military strikes remained an option but played down the prospect, though the administration has sent an aircraft carrier and a nuclear-powered submarine to the region in a show of force.

Any direct U.S. military action would run the risk of massive North Korean retaliation and huge casualties in Japan and South Korea and among U.S. forces in both countries.

Trump, asked if he considered North Korean leader Kim Jong Un to be rational, said he was operating from the assumption that he is rational. He noted that Kim had taken over his country at an early age.

“He’s 27 years old. His father dies, took over a regime. So say what you want but that is not easy, especially at that age.

“I’m not giving him credit or not giving him credit, I’m just saying that’s a very hard thing to do. As to whether or not he’s rational, I have no opinion on it. I hope he’s rational,” he said.

Trump, sipping a Coke delivered by an aide after the president ordered it by pressing a button on his desk, rebuffed an overture from Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen, who told Reuters a direct phone call with Trump could take place again after their first conversation in early December angered Beijing.

China considers neighboring Taiwan to be a renegade province.

“My problem is that I have established a very good personal relationship with President Xi,” said Trump. “I really feel that he is doing everything in his power to help us with a big situation. So I wouldn’t want to be causing difficulty right now for him.

“So I would certainly want to speak to him first.”

Last night, shortly after 8:00 p.m. Central, cnn.com posted the following information online…

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said Thursday that China threatened the North Korean government with sanctions if it undertook another nuclear weapons test.Tillerson made his comments on Fox News ahead of a visit to the United Nations and amid rising tensions over the North Korean nuclear weapons program.

“They confirmed to us that they had requested that the regime conduct no further nuclear test,” Tillerson said of the Chinese. “In fact, we were told by the Chinese that they informed the (North Korean) regime that if they did conduct further nuclear tests, China would be taking sanctions action on their own.”

That simple action and reaction alone, is more than Barack Hussein Obama accomplished in 8 year of his failed “Smart Power” Foreign Policy.

The leader of the country formerly referred to as “Red” China, actually listed to the President of the United States of America, and sided with him, against on of his own allies.

That’s “YUGE”.

Liberal Internet and Facebook Trolls have been making unequal comparisons between the Obama’s penchant for vacationing on our dime and the Trumps spending every weekend down at the “Southern White House”, Mar-a-Lago, in Florida.

The difference between the Obama’s trips and Trump’s weekend visits is the fact that Trump OWNS Mar-a-Lago. The Obamas did not own the place they stayed in Hawaii…and certainly not anyplace in Spain that Mooch, Mudear, and the girls visited.

But, I digress…

What made President Trump’s visit with Chinese President Xi Jinping a success, was not only the fact that Trump was negotiating with the Chinese Leader from a position of strength, he was also negotiating from a position of experience.

Trump has negotiated billion dollar business deals, as has his Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson.

America know longer has Professional Politicians who can talk the talk, but have never walked the walk, negotiating for our Sovereign Nation with other World Leaders.

We actually have Men of Accomplishment, who have negotiated in critical situations IN THE REAL WORLD, negotiating to ensure that America remains strong and safe.

Refreshing, isn’t it?

Oh, one more thing…to those Liberal Internet and Facebook Trolls, who are hung up on Trump going to the Southern White House every weekend and playing golf with World Leaders: There is a difference between trump’s Golf Outings and Obama’s Golf Outings.

Trump is actually conducting the Business of America while entertaining World Leaders.

Obama was entertaining Reggie Love.
