Democrat Deja Vu: Biden Promises “Shovel Ready Jobs”

FoxNews.com reports that

President Trump’s re-election campaign is taking aim at Democratic challenger Joe Biden over his touting of “shovel ready jobs” by resurfacing conservative criticism of the Obama administration’s famous stimulus plan.

The former vice president and presumptive Democratic presidential nominee on Tuesday unveiled a 10-year,  $775 billion plan to create universal preschool for 3- and 4-year-old children, build new child care facilities, and expand access to a wider array of long-term care options for seniors.

Biden said the plan would put 3 million Americans to work in new care and education jobs – and predicts that if enacted, it would increase overall employment by about 5 million after taking into account the economic impact of increased labor force participation when unpaid caregivers are freed up to pursue paid careers.

During a speech in New Castle, Delaware, as he unveiled the proposal, Biden spotlighted his job as vice president helping to steer the 2009 stimulus implemented by President Obama.

“I’m the guy you may remember who managed the Recovery Act of $800-plus billion dollars. I always focused on shovel ready jobs, what we can do immediately to get the money out communities,” Biden said.

Emphasizing his new plan, Biden stressed that “that’s what care jobs are. They’re shovel ready. The workers are ready now. These jobs can be filled now. Allowing millions of people, primarily women, to get back to work, increasing the growth in the GDP and family income. That’s the right thing to do for our families and our most essential workers and it’s the smart thing to do for our economy.”

The Trump campaign took aim at Biden.

“Joe Biden just promised ‘shovel-ready’ jobs. Where have we heard this before?” tweeted Trump campaign rapid response director Andrew Clark. “Biden promised ‘shovel-ready’ jobs the last time he was in charge. Instead, he created (in his own words!) a ‘depression for millions and millions of Americans.'”

Clark’s tweet included a video of snippets of Biden from speeches and interviews during the 2012 presidential campaign – as he and Obama successfully won re-election – discussing an economy that was sluggishly recovering from the Great Recession.

Most economists have said the stimulus – officially known as the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act – helped the economy rebound. And the more than 13,000 projects initiated by the stimulus and carried out through the Federal Highway Administration ended up improving thousands of miles of highways, roads and bridges.

But the stimulus also received plenty of criticism over efficiency – with Republicans pointing out that many of the infrastructure projects weren’t “shovel ready” as promised.

Biden campaign rapid response director Andrew Bates, responding to a second Clark tweet taking aim at Biden over the “shovel ready” comments, targeted the president’s handling of the economy.

“Trump’s record: driving American manufacturing into a recession and killing tens of millions of jobs. We took office during what was, before Trump’s recent handiwork, the worst downturn since the Great Depression – & replaced it with the longest streak of U.S. job growth ever,” Bates charged.

If I remember correctly, Obama’s job streak was padded with government and part-time jobs.

Here are some Economic Facts from FoxBusiness.com from an article posted on January 23rd of this year.

  • The stock market grew 31 percent in the 807 trading days before Trump’s election, but it grew by 56 percent in the 807 trading days after it, up through the third anniversary of Trump’s inauguration.
  • Manufacturing rose 3.6 percent during Trump’s three years, which was more than double the rise of 1.7 percent in the three years under Obama before that, according to government data.
  • Manufacturing employment also rose under Trump, with 487,000 manufacturing jobs created.
  • In contrast, in the three years prior to Trump’s term, manufacturing employment rose by 287,000 jobs.
  • Back on January 23rd, the unemployment rate was the lowest that it had bee in 30 years.
  • Wages were at their highest point ever.
  • Lowest-income workers saw their biggest raises in 2019.
  • In 2019 the past year, nominal wages for the lowest 10 percent of American workers jumped 7 percent. The growth rate for those without a high-school diploma was 9 percent.

Joe Biden has had almost 40 years in Washington to provide “shovel-ready jobs” for American Workers.

President Trump, before the Chinese Virus hit, had turned America’s Economy around in 3 years.

Also, on a related subject, Biden had an interview with Joy Reid on her new MSNBC show st night during which the Democrat Propagandist lobbed up softball question for the dementia-riddled presumptive Democratic Presidential Candidate to answer

In contrast, President Trump, during his interview on Fox New Sunday with Chris Wallace took every hard question and biting comment that Wallace threw his way and hit it out of the park.

If Sleepy Joe cannot handle hard questions during a television interview, how can he make the hard decisions that a president is often called upon to make?

He can’t.

And, judging from the lack of Biden for President signs throughout the country…

I believe that Americans have already smelled what he’s shoveling.

Trump Launches 2020 Re-election Campaign…Why He Will Win

https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/1141167008739971072

FoxNews.com reports that

President Trump formally launched his 2020 re-election campaign Tuesday night before a jam-packed crowd in Orlando’s Amway Center arena, and quickly unloaded on the media organizations and government actors he said tried their hardest with “everything they had” to bring down both his candidacy and presidency.

To chants of “USA,” Trump took the stage after brief remarks by Vice President Mike Pence and first lady Melania Trump, and recalled his unlikely rise to power.

“We stared down the unholy alliance of lobbyists and donors and special interests who made a living bleeding our country dry,” Trump said. “The swamp is fighting back so viciously and violently. For the last two and a half years, we have been under siege.”

With some help from the boisterous crowd as the rally continued, Trump appeared to settle on a new campaign slogan: “Keep America Great.”

He went on to tout the economy and the planned Space Force, celebrate the “obliteration” of ISIS, and declare that “Republicans believe that every life is a sacred gift from God” amid a newly energized national pro-life movement.

Just over four years ago, Trump descended through the pink marble and brass atrium of Trump Tower to announce his candidacy for president, the first step on a journey few analysts believed would take him all the way to the White House.

This time, thousands of Trump supporters arrived more than 40 hours in advance to secure a spot in the Amway Center, despite sweltering heat. Some had been camped in chairs for several nights.

Trump told attendees he had begun not only a “great political campaign but a great movement” committed to the idea that a government must “care for its own citizens first.”

He called his election that year as a “defining moment in American history” — and then directed the crowd to “ask them, right there,” referring to the media assembled in the back, which many in the crowd jeered.

In one of the most dramatic moments of the rally, Trump charged that Democrats want a “do-over” of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report — and then, his voice approaching a shout, Trump blasted Democrats’ apparent lack of interest in misconduct within their party.

“Our patriotic movement has been under assault from the very first day,” Trump said. He specifically called out the “phony” dossier used by the FBI to secure a secret surveillance warrant to surveil one of his former aides, Carter Page.

After Trump noted that the dossier was funded by the Hillary Clinton campaign and Democratic National Committee (DNC), the crowd again broke into a chant, this time cheering, “Lock her up.”

“If you want to know how the system is rigged, just look at how they came at us for three years with everything they had, versus the free pass they gave to Hillary and her aides after they set up an illegal server, destroyed evidence, deleted and acid-washed 33,000 emails, exposed classified information, and turned the State Department into a pay-for-play cash machine,” Trump said, his voice rising with the crowd’s.

“Lock her up,” the crowd responded again.

“33,000 emails deleted, think of it!” Trump said. “You know, there was a lot of corruption on the other side. But, you know, they get a subpoena from the United States Congress, and they decide they’re not gonna give it, so, Lindsey Graham, they delete and they acid wash — which is very expensive, nobody does it — those emails, never to be seen again!

“But we may find them again somewhere deep in the State Department,” Trump mused. “Can you imagine if I got a subpoena? Think of this — if I deleted one email, like a love note to Melania, it’s the electric chair for Trump.”

For the most part, the rally focused on Trump’s policy successes, on a range of matters including criminal justice reform and the economy.

“Our country is soaring to incredible new heights,” Trump asserted, to loud applause. “Our economy is the envy of the world, perhaps the greatest economy we’ve had in the history of our country, and as long as you keep this team in place — we have a tremendous way to go — our future has never, ever looked brighter or sharper.”

Trump continued: “The fact is, the American Dream is back. It’s bigger, and better, and stronger than ever before.”

…The festive and lively environment was evident both outside and inside the arena. Caps and shirts and mugs and ponchos were being hawked in corners far and wide in Orlando, with slogans ranging from “God, Guns and Trump” to “Trump’s Deplorables” to “Working to Defeat Liberals since 1854.”

“Think of this — if I deleted one email, like a love note to Melania, it’s the electric chair for Trump.”

…Trump is ahead of his Democrat rivals in key battleground states and “voters overall” support re-electing him, a Republican National Committee (RNC) memo obtained by Fox News claimed. The memo came amid reports of the president struggling in polls putting him up against potential 2020 opponents, including Biden. A Fox News poll showed similar numbers.

But, according to the RNC, its own massive data operation told a different story. According to the committee’s numbers, Trump has a higher approval than disapproval rating in the battleground states of Ohio and Pennsylvania while a majority of Florida voters (53 percent) supported re-electing him.

Trump has an unprecedented $40.8 million in cash-on-hand, as of the start of the second quarter of fundraising on April 1. While that would be a massive war chest on its own, the Trump campaign, the Republican National Committee and their joint fundraising committees had a combined $82 million cash-on-hand going into the second quarter.

Before I begin, please allow me to tell you that I am no political pundit.

I am just an average guy who began writing back in April of 2010 in order to vent my frustration with the destruction of the America being wrought by President Barack Hussein Obama (mm mmm mmmm) and his Democrat henchmen and women in Congress.

That being said, I have no wish to see a repeat of the nightmarish 8 years known as the Obama Presidency.

I do not believe that the overwhelming majority of Americans living between the coasts do, either.

Here is why I believe that President Trump will be re-elected.

Last night, American Citizens from coast to coast heard from a man who genuinely LOVES America and her people, instead of viewing us all as racist, misogynist, xenophobes…the 45th President of the United States of America, Donald J. Trump.

Just like Trump did with his refusal early in his campaign to “act more presidential”, he is still taking his message directly to the American People.

You see, Gentle Readers, Trump has always been a “people person”.

That is the reason that, when he was still a contributor to Fox News, he would speak to everyone in the building, from the maintenance crew, on up the ladder.

As Sam Walton, the Founder of Walmart, knew, you don’t inspire people by acting imperious and above it all.

“Mr. Sam”, until his health would no longer allow him to do so, would travel to Walmart Stores in his old pickup truck, with a tie and a baseball cap on, visiting the employees, in order to find out how his stores were doing.

He knew that the only way to be successful and to stay in touch with the public, was to be out among them, and speak to them honestly and directly, as one would speak to a friend.

Just as President Trump did when he went on a “Thank You” Tour and as he continues with his Daily Tweets to the American People..

The Political Establishment, of both parties, lost that concept, a long time ago.

Bypassing the borders to communication, historically determined by both political parties and the Main Stream Media, is a concept which I first witnessed being used by a Presidential Candidate in the 1980 Presidential Election, the before-mentioned Ronald Wilson Reagan.

While I am not comparing the two, I am noting that this strategy has proved effective for both men.

As the polls continue to show, Trump continues to strike a resonant chord in the hearts of Average Americans, living here in the part of America, which the snobbish Political Elites refer to as “Flyover Country”, but which we refer to as “America’s Heartland”, or, quite simply, “HOME”.

The reason being, President Trump is keeping his promises, as he reminded us last night.

He does not talk down to us while disparaging our Sovereign Nation, as his predecessor did.

Trump talks to us in a plain-spoken, clearly understood way, a style which is in stark contrast to an opposition party full of professional politicians, whose only interest is the regaining of power in Washington, D.C., at whatever the cost.

That is why the Democrats continue to attempt to impeach the president without actually impeaching him.

My fellow average Americans, we are only a means back to power for the “Party of Special Interest Groups”, known as the Far Left Democratic Party.

Last night, the President of the United States of America, the most powerful man in the world, made the average Americans whom the Democrats named “Deplorables” feel good about ourselves and our role in determining our future, unselfishly giving us the credit not only for his victory on November 8, 2016 but for our support of his Domestic and Foreign Policies which has caused an unprecedented economic recovery which has benefited all Americans.

All of the economic progress made, the strengthening of our military, the Campaign Promises kept, his championing of average Americans, and his unequaled advocacy for American Exceptionalism makes President Donald J. Trump a “radical change” worth keeping in office for 4 more years.

Trump’s 2nd Quarter GDP Growth Number Expected to be “Yuge”

maxresdefault (3)

https://twitter.com/RealWayneRoot/status/1022004975453515781

CBSNews.com reported yesterday that

Wall Street — and the White House — eagerly await the release of GDP data on Friday that many economists expect to top 4 percent. The last time the economy expanded at a comparable pace was in 2014, when growth hit 5.2 percent in the third quarter.

Granted, a single three-month period of rising output is a limited gauge of the economy’s health. The quarterly figures are volatile and can swing sharply from quarter to quarter. But this year’s second-quarter number will be more closely watched than usual, thanks to President Donald Trump’s repeated pledge to hit annual growth of “much higher” than 3 percent.

The economy grew 2.3 percent in 2017, which is considered typical for the late stages of a post-recession recovery. GDP growth for a full year hasn’t crossed the 3 percent mark in 14 years.

“You’re going to get a GDP number on Friday that’s going to be a very impressive number. Some people are in the 4 to 5 percent zone,” Larry Kudlow, the White House economic adviser, told CBS This Morning.

Whether such robust growth is sustainable is another question. Here’s what turbocharged the economy in the second quarter.

GOP tax cuts

The second-quarter figure will be widely seen as a referendum on the GOP tax cuts of late 2017. This quarter benefits from a timing sweet spot, coming after the deficit-busting cuts trickled through the economy, but before the effects of the White House’s protectionist trade policies are fully felt.

GDP likely got a big boost from the additional tax-cut money going to both companies and consumers, economists say.

“When you drop taxes and increase spending, even if some of it is saved rather than spent, it boosts growth,” said Jim O’Sullivan, chief economist at High Frequency Economics. “Ultimately, that boost won’t last forever, and of course you’ve added to the government debt. But there’s no question that it’s stimulative.”

The tax cuts’ cornerstone was a permanent reduction in business tax rates, giving corporate profits an instant boost on paper. They would have been solid by mid-April, when corporations’ first-quarter tax payments are due. Many workers, too, saw slightly larger paychecks in February or March, with higher-earning workers reaping bigger benefits.

Consumers come back

Consumer spending has continued to rise. Because it makes up about 70 percent of GDP, it’s an important component for gauging overall growth.

“Retail sales have been really strong recently, up for five straight months, which is really kind of rare in this economy,” said Ryan Detrick, senior market strategist at LPL Financial. “Consumer spending is a big reason the GDP number is expected to come in fairly strong.”

For now, consumer confidence seems boosted by low unemployment, according to Morgan Stanley Research. “Consumption remains supported by a strong labor market and a lift to disposable income from the tax cuts, although some of these benefits are being eroded by rising gasoline prices,” Morgan Stanley economists wrote in a note.

An “idiosyncratic” quarter
Not even bullish economists expect the pace of the second quarter’s growth to continue, however, because it’s driven by “a number of idiosyncratic factors that are unlikely to be sustained in the second half of the year,” according to Morgan Stanley.

A major factor is the Trump administration’s aggressive trade stance, which is starting to be felt in some sectors and is expected to be a slight drag on GDP. The timing of the tariffs, however, has been a short-term growth boost as exporters rushed to finish shipments ahead of tariff imposition dates.

Don’t you just love how CBS is spinning great economic news into something mediocre?

Of course you know, if this prediction does ring true this morning, the MSM , the Democratic Party, and Liberals all over the Social Media will scream in unison,

This is Obama’s Economy!

And, they will be dead wrong.

Even CBS had to admit in the above article that the Economic Policies of Donald J. Trump are working.

So, just what is the “GDP” and why is it important?

Per investopedia.com,

Gross domestic product (GDP) is the monetary value of all the finished goods and services produced within a country’s borders in a specific time period. Though GDP is usually calculated on an annual basis, it can be calculated on a quarterly basis as well (in the United States, for example, the government releases an annualized GDP estimate for each quarter and also for an entire year).

GDP includes all private and public consumption, government outlays, investments, private inventories, paid-in construction costs and the foreign balance of trade (exports are added, imports are subtracted). Put simply, GDP is a broad measurement of a nation’s overall economic activity – the godfather of the indicator world.

GDP is commonly used as an indicator of the economic health of a country, as well as a gauge of a country’s standard of living. Since the mode of measuring GDP is uniform from country to country, GDP can be used to compare the productivity of various countries with a high degree of accuracy. Adjusting for inflation from year to year allows for the seamless comparison of current GDP measurements with measurements from previous years or quarters. In this way, a nation’s GDP from any period can be measured as a percentage relative to previous periods. An important statistic that indicates whether an economy is expanding or contracting, GDP can be tracked over long spans of time and used in measuring a nation’s economic growth or decline, as well as in determining if an economy is in recession (generally defined as two consecutive quarters of negative GDP growth).

In other words, gentle readers, under President Trump, our nation’s economy is GROWING.

Even with all of the “stuff” that the Democrats have been flinging at the President, like gorillas fling at visitors at a zoo, he is still accomplishing doing what he said he would do: keep his campaign promises.

Trump has delivered what he promised: a stronger economy and more jobs.

Americans are more concerned with providing for themselves and their families than they are with the silly “Social Justice Warrior” Political Games which the Democratic Party, which is being run by the Far Left, continues to play.

Quite frankly, the reason that Obama Presidency did not move our economy forward, like President Trump is in the process of doing, is because Obama was more concerned about growing the Central Government, than he was about growing American Production by freeing the job creators from punitive tax rates, in order to encourage the growth that will revitalize our economy.

That is why I once spent 6 hours on a Saturday, on the phone with Punjab from Calcutta about my Comcast Cable Box, which was on the fritz.

But, I digress…

Make no mistake, granting amnesty to millions of unskilled, underage illegal aliens would have done and still would do nothing for the health of our economy.

This action would simply provide future voters for the Democrat Party, which is now, as I wrote earlier, firmly in the control of the Far Left.

A popular Liberal Defense that was going around during Obama’s Presidency was the claim that President Ronald Reagan actually had a bigger Federal Government than Obama.

The funny part is: It’s true.

It was larger because President Reagan, through his sound Economic Policy, actually increased tax revenues.

American Production rose, therefore, TAX REVENUES INCREASED.

Yes, “Trickle-Down Economics”, “trickled up”, allowing for a well-funded, strong American Military and Administration.

You see, boys and girls, that’s the secret of American Exceptionalism, a concept that Obama always gave lip service to, but, clearly, never believed in.

For America to prosper, we must remain free. For America to remain free, we must be prosperous.

American Capitalism is the engine which drives a strong, vibrant economy. American Capitalism is the result of the courageous Entrepreneurial Spirit of American Citizens. The same “Can Do” attitude which led to Western Expansion and triumphs against the enemies of a strong America, both foreign and domestic.

President Trump is succeeding as President because of his ability to focus on the challenges he faces and to come up with innovative, common-sense solutions.

His popularity continues to rise due to average Americans’ appreciation of a President who puts America first.

And as Trump continues on his mission to Make American Great Again, all the Democrats have to contribute is hate and divisiveness.

And, that is not an election-winning Party Platform to run on.

It’s the Economy, stupid.

BREAKING: 4.1% GDP growth in 2nd quarter 2018. #MAGA!!!
