The “Slippery Slope” Average Americans Predicted is Here. What Do We Do Now?

Just when you thought that the Democrat Elite could not be any more out of step with average Americans, they support things that are not only nonsensical, but against science, American Tradition, and the Judeo-Christian laws and values which have made America great.

For example…

They actually believe that it is okay for men to compete in sporting events against women.

I have not heard of anything that stupid since Andy Kaufman went around wrestling women…until Professional Wrestler Jerry “The King” Lawler dropped him on his head.

But, I digress…

If you listen to the Far Left Democratic Party, who continue to campaign fervently for “Transgendered Rights”, you would think that their percentage in America’s overall population MUST be somewhere in the double digits.

You would be wrong.

Transgendered Americans actually only number somewhere around 700,000, about 0.3 percent of U.S. adults.

I suppose that the “coming out” of Former Olympic Decathalon and Reality TV Star Bruce Jenner as her Transgendered Persona, “Caitlyn”, started this particular snowball down the hill.

President Ronald Reagan used to refer to the United States of America as “the shining city on a hill”. During the nightmare known as the Obama Presidency, that shine became tarnished.

That “Great Experiment” turned out to be a Frankenstein’s Monster.

What was the very first thing that Barack Hussein Obama did when he took office? He signed an order giving American money to fund abortions all over the world. Yes, that’s right. His first priority was the taking of innocent lives.

However, this descent down the slippery slope in America has been going on for years.

Years ago, Liberals decided to put in a program of indoctrination into their belief system through the Department of Education.

They attacked the most vulnerable of us, our children.

Through programs like “anti-bullying” and Common Core, all the things, such as Christian morality and ethics, which average Americans, living in the Heartland, have always taught our children and grandchildren, began being undone by the government, in a scenario eerily reminiscent of the Soviet Union or Communist China.

Uncle Sugar has been telling our kids that it is alright for Heather to have two Mommies, and Bobby not to know who his Daddy is.

And, that it is okay for Daddy to dress in Mommy’s clothing.

They were also being taught in our schools that individual achievement was secondary to the welfare of everyone around them. In other words,

From each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs.

Hey, kid. You didn’t build that.

Vladimir Lenin once said,

Give us the child for 8 years and it will be a Bolshevik forever.

What happens when you give “The State” 12 years to indoctrinate your child. Or, 16 years, if they go to college?

Scary, when you think about it, huh?

The Far Left Democratic Party remains determined to somehow change The Shining City on a Hill into an amoral Socialist Paradise.

So, is our present culture-driven state of unrest and strife which we are experiencing in America, simply a matter of choice?

Yes. I believe that it comes down to the choice of individual freedom or subjugation to “princes and principalities”.

Here is a radio message which the late, great American News Commentator Paul Harvey delivered on April 3, 1965:

If I were the devil, I wouldn’t be happy until I had seized the ripest apple on the tree—Thee. So I’d set about however necessary to take over the United States. I’d subvert the churches first—I would begin with a campaign of whispers. With the wisdom of a serpent, I would whisper to you as I whispered to Eve: “Do as you please.” “Do as you please.” To the young, I would whisper, “The Bible is a myth.” I would convince them that man created God instead of the other way around. I would confide that what is bad is good, and what is good is “square”. And the old, I would teach to pray. I would teach them to pray after me, ‘Our Father, which art in Washington…’

And then I’d get organized. I’d educate authors on how to lurid literature exciting, so that anything else would appear dull and uninteresting. I’d threaten TV with dirtier movies and vice versa. Within a decade I’d have prisons overflowing, I’d have judges promoting pornography—soon I could evict God from the courthouse, and then the schoolhouse, and then from the houses of Congress. And in His own churches I would substitute psychology for religion, and deify science. I would lure priests and pastors into misusing boys and girls, and church money. If I were the devil I’d make the symbols of Easter an egg and the symbol of Christmas a bottle.If I were the devil I’d take from those, and who have, and give to those wanted until I had killed the incentive of the ambitious. What do you bet I could get whole states to promote gambling as the way to get rich? I would question against extremes and hard work, and Patriotism, and moral conduct. I would convince the young that marriage is old-fashioned, that swinging more fun, that what you see on the TV is the way to be. And thus I could undress you in public, and I could lure you into bed with diseases for which there is no cure. In other words, if I were to devil I’d keep on doing on what he’s doing.

So, are we doomed as a nation to continue to slide down this slippery slope we are traveling on? In the conclusion of “A Time for Choosing”, Ronald Reagan reminded us that the choice was ours to make…

They say the world has become too complex for simple answers. They are wrong. There are no easy answers, but there are simple answers. We must have the courage to do what we know is morally right. Winston Churchill said that “the destiny of man is not measured by material computation. When great forces are on the move in the world, we learn we are spirits–not animals.” And he said, “There is something going on in time and space, and beyond time and space, which, whether we like it or not, spells duty.”

You and I have a rendezvous with destiny. We will preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we will sentence them to take the first step into a thousand years of darkness. If we fail, at least let our children and our children’s children say of us we justified our brief moment here. We did all that could be done.

As a Christian American Conservative, I believe that there is a divine spark within each one of us.

It is up to us , whether we choose to listen to that still, small voice, as He guides us through our choices we make everyday.

I also believe that this nation was forged by Christian Men, who were led by their Creator to seek the FREEDOM to worship him as they chose

We must continue to fight back against those who are feverishly trying to “radically change” our Sovereign Nation into something that it was never meant to be.

We must continue the journey back to reclaim the vision of our Forefathers.

New Year’s Day 2017: More Than Ever…”A Time For Choosing”

thndyuh2ttAs I sat down last evening, after a wonderful dinner with my family, to write something to summarize 2016, while looking forward to 2017, I thought about the Top News Story of this past year: The election of American Entrepreneur and Businessman Donald J. Trump as the 45th President of the United States of America.

I then thought about all of the reasons as to the how and why of his ascension to the position of The Leader of the Free World.

That led me to thinking about the massive schism that we are presently experiencing in this country between those on the Left Side of the Political Spectrum, living their lives in the metropolitan isolation of the large cities on the East and West Coasts and the rest of us, who are living our lives in the rest of the Continental United States, known derisively as “Flyover Country”.

And, I wondered how the “Shining City on a Hill”, which the greatest American President in my generation, Ronald Wilson Reagan, so wonderfully described, has fallen so far, into a morass of relative morality,situational ethics, and, at times, borderline anarchy.

In 1964, in his famous stump speech, “A Time for Choosing”, The Great Communicator said,

It’s time we asked ourselves if we still know the freedoms intended for us by the Founding Fathers. James Madison said, “We base all our experiments on the capacity of mankind for self government.”

This idea — that government was beholden to the people, that it had no other source of power — is still the newest, most unique idea in all the long history of man’s relation to man. This is the issue of this election: Whether we believe in our capacity for self-government or whether we abandon the American Revolution and confess that a little intellectual elite in a far-distant capital can plan our lives for us better than we can plan them ourselves.

You and I are told we must choose between a left or right, but I suggest there is no such thing as a left or right. There is only an up or down. Up to man’s age-old dream–the maximum of individual freedom consistent with order — or down to the ant heap of totalitarianism. Regardless of their sincerity, their humanitarian motives, those who would sacrifice freedom for security have embarked on this downward path. Plutarch warned, “The real destroyer of the liberties of the people is he who spreads among them bounties, donations and benefits.”

The Founding Fathers knew a government can’t control the economy without controlling people. And they knew when a government sets out to do that, it must use force and coercion to achieve its purpose. So we have come to a time for choosing.

So, is our present state of unrest and strife which we are experiencing in America, simply a matter of choice?

I believe that it is…one of individual freedom or subjugation to “princes and principalities”.

And in His own churches I would substitute psychology for religion, and deify science. I would lure priests and pastors into misusing boys and girls, and church money. If I were the devil I’d make the symbols of Easter an egg and the symbol of Christmas a bottle.If I were the devil I’d take from those, and who have, and give to those wanted until I had killed the incentive of the ambitious. What do you bet I could get whole states to promote gambling as the way to get rich? I would question against extremes and hard work, and Patriotism, and moral conduct. I would convince the young that marriage is old-fashioned, that swinging more fun, that what you see on the TV is the way to be. And thus I could undress you in public, and I could lure you into bed with diseases for which there is no cure. In other words, if I were to devil I’d keep on doing on what he’s doing.

Intolerant Liberals, “Squishy Conservatives”, a Divided Nation

ObamaPutin7242014As I write this, the world is exploding around us…literally. Russia, under the leadership of Former KGB Agent, Vladimir Putin, is as aggressive as they have ever been, presently on a campaign to regain all of those Eastern European Countries which they lost during the demise of the old Soviet Union.

At the same time, the land bequeathed to Abram by God (Genesis 12: 1-3), is the scene of violence, as Muslim Barbarians, who have never had a country of their own, seek to take over Israel and kill God’s Chosen People.

How is this happening?

The answer is to a cheering throng of Europeans, infiltrated by adherents to the “Religion of Peace”. You know, the religion that turns their wives and daughters into slaves to be beaten and murdered for “honor’s sake”, and, whose “Freedom Fighters”, in the midst of a “Holy Jihad” against “the infidels”, use their own children as human shields and ‘wage war” from inside the corridors of hospitals.

However, it is not just the Europeans who are cheering these cowardly barbarians on. It is American Liberals, as well.

While not every American Liberal supports the barbarism of Hamas, there are more than you think, including, unbelievably, some American Jews.

These “tolerant” Liberals are following the lead of their President and his Administration.

The Washington Post has the latest details…

The United States on Wednesday put the most direct pressure yet on its ally Israel to cut short its military campaign against Hamas in Gaza, but Secretary of State John F. Kerry did not get a deal from Israel or the Palestinians to stop the bloodshed.

Despite a swirl of shuttle diplomacy, the war looked far from over Wednesday. Israeli leaders told their soldiers to prepare for an escalation inside the Gaza Strip, while the leader of Hamas vowed that his Islamist militant movement would not sign a permanent cease-fire until Israel ends its blockade of the coastal enclave.

Ordinary Israelis were upset with the United States and accused the Americans of cowardice after the Federal Aviation Administration, nervous that Hamas rockets have landed near Israel’s main airport, extended a ban on U.S. commercial flights to Tel Aviv. The decision was bad news for a small, image-conscious country such as Israel whose economy relies on international trade and tourism.

The FAA lifted the ban at 11:45 p.m. EDT on Wednesday.

Kerry met in Israel with on Wednesday with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who was angry about the FAA action and suspicious that it was an attempt by the Obama administration to squeeze Israel to end its Gaza campaign.

This division over the right of Israel to defend herself against Islamic Terrorists, extends to the overall feeling of Americans concerning the current state of our nation.

According to Rasmussen Reports,

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Wednesday shows that 47% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Obama’s job performance. Fifty-one percent (51%) disapprove (see trends).

The latest figures include 24% who Strongly Approve of the way Obama is performing as president and 41% who Strongly Disapprove. This gives him a Presidential Approval Index rating of -17.

Voters strongly believe the United States is a more divided nation these days, but Republicans are the most eager to do something about it at the ballot box in November.

The Republican Party has been practicing “Squishy” Conservatism, since the history-making Midterm Elections of 2010. We are currently living with the consequences of that. Practicing this political philosophy of relative ethics and relative morality is akin to building a house on shifting sand.

Americans do not tolerate vacillating leaders for very long. Look at the problems besetting The “Fundraiser-in-Chief”, Barack “Scooter” Obama. Few Americans, except for his Far Left sycophantic base, are buying the now-stale  “Hope and Change” he is still feebly selling.

More Liberals are becoming jaded and disappointed with Obama, because all of his “hope and change”, has affected the pocketbooks of the entire nation, not just those of the “evil 1%”.

This Karl Marx/Saul Alinsky-inspired “Class War Politics” and his own petulant, belligerent personality of a 12 year old, has lead to a divided nation, the likes of which has not been seen since “The War of Northern Aggression”.

Conservatives have a great opportunity ahead of us this November. But we will blow it if we do not present a united front. Our country is under siege from enemies, internal and external, that want to turn the “Shining City on a Hill” into a Third-World Barrio. We do not have the luxury of wasting time ridiculing another Conservative for being old-fashioned or Christian. It’s time to man up. The barbarians have knocked down the gate and they are ransacking our homes. They have burdened future generations with a tax burden that may be insurmountable. For our children’s children’s sake, we must politically repel these invaders who wish to make us subservient to their failed ideology. 

So before I wrap my daily rant up, I wish to leave you with the words of the greatest American President in my lifetime, Ronald Wilson Reagan.  Here is a excerpt from a now-famous “Stump Speech” he gave, during the Barry Goldwater Presidential Campaign in 1964.

Now, 50 years later, it is once again, “A Time For Choosing”.

The Shutdown: Still…”A Time for Choosing”

reaganI really did not know what to write about today. Like the rest of you, I am getting sick and tired of the self-serving politicians, up in the Halls of Power, acting like a bunch of spoiled children choosing sides for a kickball team.

Our petulant President, while remaining in the middle of a now 13-day-long Temper Tantrum, wants everything his way, refusing to negotiate, because those eeeevil Republicans won’t bow down and kiss his Imperial Hindquarters, as the Vichy “Moderates” among them usually do.

Give them a couple of days. Paul Ryan is working on it, even now.

Anyway, my mind traveled back, as it often does, to a seminal moment in our nation’s history, which might give us guidance in a situation like this.

I found an appropriate message in the words of the greatest President in our Generation, Ronald Wilson Reagan.,delivered on a legendary night in 1964, as he was out delivering stump speeches for the Republican Presidential Campaign of Barry Goldwater. The title of the speech is “A Time For Choosing”, and The Gipper’s words ring as true today, as they ever have…

Up to man’s age-old dream–the maximum of individual freedom consistent with order — or down to the ant heap of totalitarianism. Regardless of their sincerity, their humanitarian motives, those who would sacrifice freedom for security have embarked on this downward path. Plutarch warned, “The real destroyer of the liberties of the people is he who spreads among them bounties, donations and benefits.”

The Founding Fathers knew a government can’t control the economy without controlling people. And they knew when a government sets out to do that, it must use force and coercion to achieve its purpose. So we have come to a time for choosing.

Public servants say, always with the best of intentions, “What greater service we could render if only we had a little more money and a little more power.” But the truth is that outside of its legitimate function, government does nothing as well or as economically as the private sector.

Yet any time you and I question the schemes of the do-gooders, we’re denounced as being opposed to their humanitarian goals. It seems impossible to legitimately debate their solutions with the assumption that all of us share the desire to help the less fortunate. They tell us we’re always “against,” never “for” anything.

…Are you willing to spend time studying the issues, making yourself aware, and then conveying that information to family and friends? Will you resist the temptation to get a government handout for your community? Realize that the doctor’s fight against socialized medicine is your fight. We can’t socialize the doctors without socializing the patients. Recognize that government invasion of public power is eventually an assault upon your own business. If some among you fear taking a stand because you are afraid of reprisals from customers, clients, or even government, recognize that you are just feeding the crocodile hoping he’ll eat you last.

If all of this seems like a great deal of trouble, think what’s at stake. We are faced with the most evil enemy mankind has known in his long climb from the swamp to the stars. There can be no security anywhere in the free world if there is no fiscal and economic stability within the United States. Those who ask us to trade our freedom for the soup kitchen of the welfare state are architects of a policy of accommodation.

They say the world has become too complex for simple answers. They are wrong. There are no easy answers, but there are simple answers. We must have the courage to do what we know is morally right. Winston Churchill said that “the destiny of man is not measured by material computation. When great forces are on the move in the world, we learn we are spirits–not animals.” And he said, “There is something going on in time and space, and beyond time and space, which, whether we like it or not, spells duty.”

You and I have a rendezvous with destiny. We will preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we will sentence them to take the first step into a thousand years of darkness. If we fail, at least let our children and our children’s children say of us we justified our brief moment here. We did all that could be done.

Today, as we watch our nation’s Veterans, who sacrificed for this great nation, visit the memorials built in their honor, closed right now by the order of a Petulant  President, in the middle of a Temper Tantrum, think about the words of The Great Communicator, who also said, 

Man is not free unless government is limited.

Call your Republican Representatives and tell them, in the words Scotsman William Wallace, to “Hold that Line!” against this present-day tyranny which America is suffering under.

Remind them that our Freedom and their jobs depend on it.

Our Federal Government: Public Servants Serving Themselves?

Remember “Hope and Change”?  After 3 years of Obama, all we’ve gotten is “Mope and Blame”…and Americans seem to be fed up with the present occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and all of his minions on Capitol Hill.

Per Politico.com:

Today, just one in three has a favorable view of the federal government — the lowest level in 15 years, according to a Pew survey. The majority of Americans remain satisfied with their local and state governments — 61 percent and 52 percent, respectively — but only 33 percent feel likewise about the federal government.

In 2002, nearly double that figure, 64 percent viewed the federal government favorably, and Americans held their local and state governments in similar esteem, at 67 percent and 62 percent, respectively.

There’s the expected partisan gap: A majority of Democrats, 51 percent, view the Obama-led government favorably, compared with 27 percent of independents and 20 percent of Republicans. During the Bush presidency, a majority of Republicans viewed the federal government favorably, while support for it faded among Democrats.

The poll also reveals that more Americans trust their state governments to be honest, efficient and less partisan than the federal government.

The survey of 1,514 people was conducted Apr. 4-15, with a margin of error of 2.9 percentage points.

Of course, William Jefferson Clinton was president 15 years ago. You know, the womanizer whom Liberals remember so fondly…the guy Obama left to finish answering questions at a press conference…the smooth operator who crawled around the Oval Office rug with Monica Lewinsky.

In 1997, Clinton had a popularity rating of 57%, a result of the illusion of bi-partisanship between him and a Republican Congress.

Since then, thanks to out-of-touch public servants, Americans have grown to literally despise those whom they have elected to serve them in the nation’s capital.

This hatred has been brought on by incompetency and avarice.  These “public servants” seem to lose their minds when they arrive in Washington, D.C.  They decide that our money is their money, to freely spend as they wish, on causes both noble and ignoble.

Ronald Wilson Reagan spoke about these “public servants” during a memorable speech titled “A Time for Choosing” delivered during a broadcast in 1994 in support of the presidential campaign of Barry Goldwater:

We are for a provision that destitution should not follow unemployment by reason of old age, and to that end we have accepted Social Security as a step toward meeting the problem. However, we are against those entrusted with this program when they practice deception regarding its fiscal shortcomings, when they charge that any criticism of the program means that we want to end payments….

We are for aiding our allies by sharing our material blessings with nations which share our fundamental beliefs, but we are against doling out money government to government, creating bureaucracy, if not socialism, all over the world.

We need true tax reform that will at least make a start toward restoring for our children the American Dream that wealth is denied to no one, that each individual has the right to fly as high as his strength and ability will take him…. But we cannot have such reform while our tax policy is engineered by people who view the tax as a means of achieving changes in our social structure….

Have we the courage and the will to face up to the immorality and discrimination of the progressive tax, and demand a return to traditional proportionate taxation? . . . Today in our country the tax collector’s share is 37 cents of every dollar earned. Freedom has never been so fragile, so close to slipping from our grasp.
