Dr. Ben Carson, Christian American Conservative, Speaks the Truth and Shames the Devil

Dr. Ben CarsonThis past week, something quite remarkable happened at the National PrayerBreakfast. A wonderful Christian man, who also happens to be a very gifted, world-reknowned Beurosurgeonm Dr. Ben Carson, presented a speech that  made Americans on both sides of the aisle sit up and take notice.

Here is an excerpt, courtesy of BlackChristianNews.com:

When I pick up my Bible, you know what I see? I see the fairest individual in the Universe, God, and he’s given us a system. It’s called tithe. Now we don’t necessarily have to do it 10% but it’s principle. He didn’t say, if your crops fail, don’t give me any tithes. He didn’t say, if you have a bumper crop, give me triple tithes. So there must be something inherently fair about proportionality. You make $10 Billion dollars you put in a Billion. You make $10 you put in $1 – of course, you gotta get rid of the loopholes, but now now some people say, that’s not fair because it doesn’t hurt the guy who made $10 Billion dollars as much as the guy who made $10. Where does it say you have to hurt the guy. He’s just put in a billion in the pot. We don’t need to hurt him.

It’s that kind of thinking – it’s that kind of thinking that has resulted in 602 banks in the Cayman Islands. That money needs to be back here, building our infrastructure and creating jobs – and we’re smart enough – we’re smart enough to figure out how to do that.

We’ve already started down the path to solving one of the other big problems, health care. We need to have good health care for everybody. It’s the most important thing that a person can have. Money means nothing, titles mean nothing when you don’t have your health, but we’ve got to figure out efficient ways to do it. We spend a lot of money on health care, twice as much per capita as anybody in else in the world, and yet not very efficient. What can we do?

Here’s my solution. When a person is born, give him a birth certificate, an electronic medical record and a health savings account [HSA], to which money can be contributed, pre-tax from the time you are born, to the time you die. When you die, you can pass it on to your family members so that when you’re 85 years old and you’ve got 6 diseases, you’re not trying to spend up everything. You’re happy to pass it on and nobody is talking about death panels. That’s number one. Also –

For the people who are indigent, who don’t have any money, we can make contributions to their HSA each month because we already have this huge pot of money instead of sending it to bureaucracy – let’s put it into HSAs. Now they have some control over their own health care and what do you think they’re going to do? They’re going to learn very quickly how to be responsible. When Mr. Jones gets that diabetic foot ulcer, he’s not going to the Emergency Room and blowing a big chunk of it. He’s going to go to the Clinic. He learns that very quickly – gets the same treatment. In the Emergency Room they send him out. In the Clinic they say, now let’s get your diabetes under control so that you’re not back here in three weeks with another problem. That’s how we begin to solve these kinds of problems. It’s much more complex than that, and I don’t have time to go into it all, but we can do all these things because we are smart people.

And let me begin to close here – another parable: Sea Captain, and he’s out on the sea near the area where the Titanic went down. And they look ahead and there’s a bright light right there – another ship he figures. He tells his signaler to signal that ship: deviate 10 degrees to the South. Back comes the message, no you deviate 10 degrees to the North. Well, he’s a little bit incensed you know. He says, send a message, this is Captain Johnson, deviate 10 degrees to the South. Back comes the message, this is Ensign 4th Class Reilly. Deviate 10 degrees to the North. Now Captain Johnson is really upset. He says send him a message, this is a Naval Destroyer. Back comes the message, this is a Lighthouse. Enough said.

Now, what about the symbol of our Nation? The Eagle. The Bald Eagle. It’s an interesting story how we chose that but a lot of people think we call it the bald eagle because it looks like it has a bald head. That’s not the reason It comes from the Old English word Piebald, which means crowned with white. And we just shortened it to bald. Now, use that the next time you see somebody who thinks they know everything. You’ll get ’em on that one.

But, why is that eagle able to fly, high, forward? Because it has two wings: a left wing and a right wing. Enough said.

And I wanna close with this story: two hundred years ago this Nation was involved in a war, the war of 1812. The British, who are now our good friends thought that we were young whippersnappers. It was time for us to become a colony again. They were winning that war and marching up the Eastern Seaboard, destroying city after city, destroying Washington D.C., burned down the White House. Next stop Baltimore. As they came into the Chesapeake Bay, there were armadas of war ships as far as the eye could see. It was looking grim. Fort. McHenry standing right there. General Armisted, who was in charge of Fort. McHenry, had a large American flag commissioned to fly in front of the Fort. The Admiral in charge of the British Fleet was offended, said take that flag down. You have until dusk to take that Flag down. If you don’t take it down, we will reduce you to ashes.

There was a young amateur poet on board by the name of Francis Scott Key, sent by President Madison to try to obtain the release of an American physician who was being held captive. He overheard the British plans. They were not going to let him off the ship. He mourned. As dusk approached he mourned for his fledgling young Nation, and as the sun fell, the bombardment started. Bombs bursting in air. Missiles, so much debris He strained, trying to see, was the flag still there? Couldn’t see a thing. All night long it continued. At the crack of dawn he ran out to the banister He looked straining his eyes all he could only see dust and debris.

Then there was a clearing and he beheld the most beautiful sight he had ever seen – the torn and tattered Stars and Stripes still waving. And many historians say that was the turning point in the war of 1812. We went on to win that war and to retain our freedom and if you had gone onto the grounds of Fort. McHenry that day, you would have seen at the base of that flag, the bodies of soldiers who took turns. Propping up that flag, they would not let that flag go down because they believed in what that flag symbolized. And what did it symbolize? One Nation, under God, [applause] indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Thank you. God Bless.

Since that magnificent speech, Dr. Carson is in the process of being eviscerated by Liberals, who claim that because he dared to speak the TRUTH in front of The Lightbringer, President Barack Hussein Obama (mm mmm mmmm), he spoke about the subject in the wrong venue and was being extremely rude in doing so.

These hypocrites have seemingly forgotten all of the inappropriate and downright ugly remarks they made about President George W. Bush and his family, before, during and after his 2 terms in office.

And, don’t even get me started about what they have done to  Former Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin and her family, and what the decidedly un-objective Main Stream Media has done to them.

What do these three leaders have in common?

They are all Christian American Conservatives, who are all unapologetic about praising His holy and Righteous Name, in public forums, just as our Founding Fathers, did.

And, that very fact scares the Devil out of American Liberals…on both sides of the aisle.

And, it shames them, too.

Obama: Unvetted, Irresponsible, and AWOL

Obama-Shrinks-2When Barack Hussein Obama (mm mmm mmmm) first announced his intentions to seek the Democratic Nomination for the job of President of the United States, Americans asked,

Who is this guy?

In January of 2007, future Vice-President Joe Biden, described him for us:

I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that’s a storybook, man.

After a speech by The Lightbringer, in June of 2008, MSNBC Host Chris Matthews made a fawning statement that would make him famous (in a pitifully sycophantic way),

I have to tell you, you know, it’s part of reporting this case, this election, the feeling most people get when they hear Barack Obama’s speech. My, I felt this thrill going up my leg. I mean, I don’t have that too often. No, seriously. It’s a dramatic event. He speaks about America in a way that has nothing to do with politics. It has to do with the feeling we have about our country. And that is an objective assessment.

Even Republican pundits, like George Will, were slobbering over this unvetted Presidential Candidate. In June of 2008, Will wrote

Journalists consider themselves crusty, unsentimental creatures who, their battered fedoras shoved back on their heads, have slouched out of Ben Hecht’s 1928 play “The Front Page,” oozing skepticism from every pore. Actually, they are round-heeled romantics, such pushovers for a new swain that they did not laugh until their ribs squeaked when Barack Obama concluded his triumphal St. Paul, Minn., speech by proclaiming: “I am absolutely certain that generations from now, we will be able to look back and tell our children that this was the moment when we began to provide care for the sick …”

It is absolutely certain that generations from now someone will remember that even before that night in St. Paul, care was provided to the sick in America. Obama also asserted that future generations would say that “this was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal …” The man and the moment have met.

Obama’s words mesmerize a nation accustomed to leaders who routinely use words with antic indifference to their accuracy.

Hidden behind their fawning facades was the fact that even the old guard of the Democratic Party had reservations about this Manchurian Candidate (or, should I say “Kenyan”?).

Back in June of 2010, when Ben Smith was still reporting for politico.com, he wrote

I’ve finally gotten my hands on a copy of Game Change, in which John Heliemann and Mark Halperin report:

[A]s Hillary bungled Caroline, Bill’s handling of Ted was even worse. The day after Iowa, he phoned Kennedy and pressed for an endorsement, making the case for his wife. But Bill then went on, belittling Obama in a manner that deeply offended Kennedy. Recounting the conversation later to a friend, Teddy fumed that Clinton had said, A few years ago, this guy would have been getting us coffee.

Bubba, Rhodes Scholar that he is, may have unknowingly made a very cogent point, concerning The Lightbringer’s ability to handle the job of being the Leader of the Free World.

Now, one month in his second term as president (Lord, I hate having to say that…sigh…) an exclamation point has been written on his record of anti-American incompetency.

This week, as I’ve written before, hearings were held by the Senate on the massacre of our Libyan Ambassador, Chris Stephens, and 3 other Americans, by a barbaric horde of Muslim Terrorists. The Administration has blatantly engaged in a massive cover-up  since that horrible night, including blaming an unwatched Youtube video for ‘riling up” the barbarians, leading them to commit the atrocity.

During the hearings, a fact was revealed that should make every American livid with rage.

A revelation that is so bad, even that Liberal bastion of Left Wing Journalism, the Washington Post had to agree with the assessment of Conservative Talk Show Host Sean Hannity and admit that it is a troubling situation:

Sean Hannity reports that he was “stunned” upon hearing that President Obama had minimal interaction with his top defense official on the night of the Sept. 11 attack against the U.S. compound in Benghazi, Libya. That revelation stemmed from an exchange in a Senate hearing between Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-N.H.) and Defense Secretary Leon Panetta regarding the president’s communications that night. Panetta and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Martin Dempsey met with Obama about an hour after the attack began but didn’t have direct communication with him after that. Here’s how the exchange unfolded:

AYOTTE: Did you have any other further communications? Did he ever call you that night to say how are things going, what’s going on, where is the consulate?

PANETTA: No.

AYOTTE: Did you communicate with anyone else at the White House that night?

PANETTA: No.

AYOTTE: No one else called you to say, what, how are things going?

PANETTA: No.

As predicted, Hannity seized on the exchange. “Now the most alarming news that came out of that testimony is that President Obama was virtually absent on the night that four Americans died, and according to Panetta, he and General Dempsey only spoke once that night to the commander-in-chief.”

On came Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) to assist with the accountabilitizing:

Well, Mr. President, what did you do for eight hours? Who did you talk to? What kind of leadership did you exhibit? They made two movies about the Bin Laden raid and you deserve credit for that, but you’ve had no accounting for the Benghazi attack and you’re going to have an accounting.

I’m not going to stop until the American people know what their commander-in-chief did for eight hours and thus far, all we know is he had a 15-minute conversation. The revelations from Panetta weren’t the most-watched developments on Capitol Hill. That distinction belonged to a hearing in which John O. Brennan, the White House counterterrorism adviser, was enduring a confirmation grilling for his appointment as CIA director.

…Ayotte & Co. managed to do with Panetta and Dempsey what a House and Senate panel had failed to do in January with then-Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, and that’s to produce some telling and consequential tidbits about Benghazi. Graham told Hannity that the White House has “delayed, denied, deceived and stonewalled” regarding the ordeal. Whether or not you agree with that assessment, it has taken a good five months for this level of detail to emerge on contact among the key players.

I was going to use the Peter Principle to describe the Manchurian President. The Peter Principle is a theory that proposes that, as people rise in a hierarchy, they eventually rise to their level of incompetence.

However, that does not apply in the case of President Barack Hussein Obama (peace be upon him). He started out unvetted and incompetent.

Now, he’s become a disaster.

Obama and Clinton AWOL on 9/11/12…While Americans Were Murdered.

BenghaziGate3Yesterday, outgoing CIA Director Leon Panetta, and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Martin Dempsey, spoke before the Senate on the subject of that horrible night at the Benghazi Consulate, where 4 Americans, including our Ambassador, were savagely murdered.

The Weekly Standard reports

Panetta said that Obama left operational details, including knowledge of what resources were available to help the Americans under seize, “up to us.”

In fact, Panetta says that the night of 9/11, he did not communicate with a single person at the White House. The attack resulted in the deaths of four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens.

Panetta said that, save their 5 o’clock prescheduled meeting with the president the day of September 11, Obama did not call or communicate in anyway with the defense secretary that day. There were no calls about the what was going on in Benghazi. He never called to check-in.

Neither the secretary of defense nor the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff spoke to the secretary of state during the 8-hour attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya on September 11, 2012. At a Thursday hearing in the Senate, Republican Ted Cruz asked both Leon Panetta and Martin Dempsey, “In between 9:42 p.m., Benghazi time, when the first attacks started, and 5:15 am, when Mr. Doherty and Mr. Woods lost their lives, what converations did either of you have with Secretary Clinton?”

“We did not have any conversations with Secretary Clinton,” Panetta responded.

But, wait…there is even more gross incompetency…

General Martin Dempsey, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said the State Department never requested “support” in Benghazi:

“Why didn’t you put forces in place to be ready to respond?,” Senator John McCain asked the general.

Dempsey started, “Because we never received a request to do so, number one. And number two, we –”

McCain iterrupted, “You never heard of Ambassador Stevens’s repeated warnings?”

“I had, through General Ham,” responded Dempsey, referring to the commander of AFRICOM. “But we never received a request for support from the State Department, which would have allowed us to put forces-”

“So it’s the State Department’s fault?”

“I’m not blaming the State Department,” Dempsey responded.

“And General Dempsey, the same is true for you?” Cruz asked. Dempsey confirmed this.

Back on November 1, 2012, in a post titled, “BenghaziGate: A Matter of Transparency”, I reported that

On September 11, 2012, 4 brave Americans, including our Ambassador, were murdered on the grounds of the Consulate in Benghazi, Libya. As I wrote the other day, answers are still being sought , and America’s President “ain’t saying a mumblin’ word.”

Perhaps, that is because his present actions are in direct opposition to what he promised upon taking office.

From whitehouse.gov, “Memorandum for the Heads of Executive Departments and Agencies, SUBJECT: Transparency and Open Government”

My Administration is committed to creating an unprecedented level of openness in Government. We will work together to ensure the public trust and establish a system of transparency, public participation, and collaboration. Openness will strengthen our democracy and promote efficiency and effectiveness in Government.

Government should be transparent. Transparency promotes accountability and provides information for citizens about what their Government is doing. Information maintained by the Federal Government is a national asset. My Administration will take appropriate action, consistent with law and policy, to disclose information rapidly in forms that the public can readily find and use. Executive departments and agencies should harness new technologies to put information about their operations and decisions online and readily available to the public. Executive departments and agencies should also solicit public feedback to identify information of greatest use to the public…

As Americans have figured out by now, all of Obama’s promises come with expiration dates.

The Weekly Standard reports:

Seven weeks later, the White House still hasn’t explained what President Obama did and didn’t do during the seven hours of the attack on Benghazi on September 11. And there’s been no response from the White House to questions asked by senators or THE WEEKLY STANDARD or David Ignatius in the Washington Post.

We have, to be sure, heard from some government officials. But the information they’ve provided raises still more questions.

CIA director David Petraeus authorized a statement pointedly saying that “No one at any level in the CIA told anybody not to help those in need; claims to the contrary are simply inaccurate”—which strongly suggests that Petraeus believes or knows that officials in other parts of the government may have told subordinates “not to help those in need.”

Those could have been officials in the Defense Department. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta seemed to suggest that was the case: “The basic principle is that you don’t deploy forces into harm’s way without knowing what’s going on; without having some real-time information about what’s taking place, and as a result of not having that kind of information, the commander who was on the ground in that area, Gen. Ham, Gen. Dempsey and I felt very strongly that we could not put forces at risk in that situation.”

Yesterday, we found out why Obama would not say what he was doing during the murder of those Americans.

Like Pontius Pilate, he washed his hands of the matter.

And, he, and his entire Administration are a bunch of liars, and are guilty of Dereliction of Duty, at best, and, Treason, at worst.

Period.

From the order given to “Stand Down” on that horrible night,  to the sending of Susan Rice out to the media sources to spread the blatant lie that an un-watched Youtube Video caused the murderous barbarians to attack on the 11th anniversary of the largest Muslim Terrorist attack ever perpetrated on American Soil, Obama and his minions did nothing but lie to the American people.

As I originally wrote on November 1, 2012,

This is not going away anytime soon. The American public wants some answers.

Ambassador Chris Stevens, Tyrone Woods, Glen Doherty, and Sean Smith remain unavailable for comment.

Memphis Changes Parks’ Names. Rewrites History.

forrestpark

In the former “City of Good Abode”, a bunch of Liberal dimwits have sacrificed heritage and history on the foul-smelling altar of Political Correctness.

I was born December 3, 1958 in St. Joseph Hospital in Downtown Memphis, Tennessee. St. Joseph’s is no longer standing, having been torn down in the name of “progress”.

I moved across Stateline Road to DeSoto County, Mississippi from Memphis, Tennessee in November of 1997 for a very good reason: I was no longer wanted there.

Allow me to present some evidence…

From the Memphis Commercial Appeal:

Fearful that legislators in Nashville might intervene in the controversy surrounding Memphis park names, the City Council hurriedly voted Tuesday night to rename three Confederate-themed parks in the Downtown area.

By a 9-0 vote with three abstentions, the council approved changing Forrest Park’s name to “Health Sciences Park,” because of its proximity to the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Confederate Park will become “Memphis Park,” and Jefferson Davis Park will be “Mississippi River Park.”

Mike Brown/The Commercial Appeal City Council members William Boyd and Wanda Halbert are two of the nine who voted in favor of changing the park names. Three others abstained and one was absent.

Council members Jim Strickland, Kemp Conrad and Bill Morrison abstained from voting while Reid Hedgepeth did not attend the meeting.

The council also approved creating a committee to further study the naming issue. That committee will include two council members, two university professors, a representative from the NAACP, a member of the Shelby County Historical Commission and the city parks director.

All three parks have stirred repeated controversy because of their Confederate themes, particularly the one at Union and Manassas that contains the grave of Nathan Bedford Forrest. In addition to being a Confederate cavalry leader, Forrest was a slave trader before the Civil War and the first grand wizard of the Ku Klux Klan after it.

“The parks are changed. It’s done,” said Councilman Lee Harris, who initially proposed renaming the parks after nearby streets. “We removed controversial names and named them something that is less controversial.”

The decision angered some who came to the meeting.

“I’m very upset. They’re trying to get rid of history. They’re trying to rewrite it,” Katherine Blalock said.

Added Becky Muska: “We continue to fight, whatever it takes. If it takes taking it into court, that’s a decision the historical groups will make at the appropriate time.”

The park names have stirred controversy for years, but the commotion erupted anew in early January after the city removed a marker at Forrest Park. The Sons of Confederate Veterans paid for and installed the half-ton granite marker at a cost of about $10,400.

Still, it’s likely the council wouldn’t have acted so fast Tuesday if two Nashville legislators hadn’t hurriedly introduced a bill that, if passed, would have removed the city’s ability to rename such parks. In fact, the council originally considered passing an ordinance that would have required three readings, but switched to a resolution on the issue because its effect is immediate.

The council also voted to approve its minutes Tuesday, which will prevent the measure from being reconsidered at the next meeting.

The “Tennessee Heritage Protection Act of 2013,” sponsored by Rep. Steve McDaniel (R-Lexington) and Sen. Bill Ketron (R-Murfreesboro), passed its first reading Monday. If approved, the measure would prevent cities from altering any “statue, monument, memorial, nameplate or plaque” erected for a number of military events, including the “War Between the States,” in the bill’s language.

“I’m not going to accuse them of being … meddlers, but you get the picture,” Councilman Harold Collins said. “There is no reason for these people in Nashville and East Tennessee to be in our business.”

Added Councilwoman Janis Fullilove: “We cannot allow Republicans in Nashville to sit up and dictate to us in the city of Memphis what we should do.”

It’s possible Health Sciences, Memphis and Mississippi River won’t be the final names of the parks, though. Even Harris called the names “bland,” and other council members agreed. Future names would likely come out of the committee that was established Tuesday night.

Boggles the mind, doesn’t it?

According to 2010 U.S. Concensus Figures, Memphis is over 63% Black American. 6 Black city councilmen and 2 Whites voted for the name change.

But, you know what’s funny? No one asked them to change the names of those historic parks.

Driving home yesterday, I was listening to Ben Ferguson’s local radio program. Black caller after black caller said that they thought the name changes were “silly” and “unnecessary” .

One black caller actually brought up the historical fact that almost 100,000 Black Southerners fought on the side of the Confederacy.

The changing of park names is something that the Black Liberal Leadership in Memphis have been wanting to do for a long time.

It was a purely political move, designed to show the nation what an enlightened bunch of Liberal Leaders that they are.

Never mind that they are revising history.

To paraphrase God’s Word: “If thy city’s history offends thee, pluck it out.”

Or, pretend as if it never happened.

And, the City Administrators wonder why all the taxpayers have fled Memphis, like the Hebrews’ Exodus from Egypt. (Memphis, Egypt. Get the reference?)

Will the last taxpayer in Memphis, please turn off the lights.

Administration Sanctions Remote Control Elimination

obamabigbroRemember when we were kids, all the science fiction novelists writing about the future being a “brave new world”?

Well, it’s a new world alright. However, with this Administration in charge of it, the word “‘dangerous” has replaced the word “brave”.

NBC News reports

Legal experts expressed grave reservations Tuesday about an Obama administration memo concluding that the United States can order the killing of American citizens believed to be affiliated with al-Qaida — with one saying the White House was acting as “judge, jury and executioner.”

The experts said that the memo, first obtained by NBC News, threatened constitutional rights and dangerously expanded the definition of national self-defense and of what constitutes an imminent attack.

“Anyone should be concerned when the president and his lawyers make up their own interpretation of the law or their own rules,” said Mary Ellen O’Connell, a law professor at the University of Notre Dame and an authority on international law and the use of force.

“This is a very, very dangerous thing that the president has done,” she added.

The memo, made public Monday, provides detail about the administration’s controversial expansion of drone strikes against al-Qaida suspects abroad, including those aimed at American citizens.

Among them were Anwar al-Awlaki and Samir Khan, who were killed by an American strike in September 2011 in Yemen. Both men were U.S. citizens who had not been charged with a crime.

Attorney General Eric Holder, in a talk at Northwestern University Law School in March, endorsed the constitutionality of targeted killings of Americans provided that the government determines such an individual poses “an imminent threat of violent attack.”

But the memo obtained by NBC News refers to a broader definition of imminence and specifically says the government is not required to have “clear evidence that a specific attack on U.S. persons and interests will take place in the immediate future.”

Glenn Greenwald, a constitutional lawyer who writes about security and liberty for the British newspaper The Guardian, described the memo as “fundamentally misleading,” with a clinical tone that disguises “the radical and dangerous power it purports to authorize.”

“If you believe the president has the power to order U.S. citizens executed far from any battlefield with no charges or trial, then it’s truly hard to conceive of any asserted power you would find objectionable,” he wrote.

The attorney general told reporters Tuesday that the administration’s primary concern is to keep Americans safe, and to do it in a way consistent with American values. He said the administration was confident it was following federal and international law.

“We will have to look at this and see what it is we want to do with these memos,” he said. “But you have to understand that we are talking about things that are, that go into how we conduct our offensive operations against a clear and present danger.”

White House press secretary Jay Carney said that while the government must take the Constitution into account, U.S. citizenship does not make a leader of an enemy force immune from being targeted.

The drone strikes, and now the Justice Department memo, are expected to figure prominently Thursday when the Senate takes up the nomination of John Brennan, the White House counterterrorism adviser and architect of the drone campaign, to lead the CIA.

This Administration’s surveillance on American citizens has been in the works for quite a while..and, it is probably going to be activated domestically as well.

In an article posted on May 12, 2012, rt.com reported that

A leaked US Air Force document stipulates a drone that happens to capture surveillance images of Americans may store them for a period of 90 days. The paper appears to justify spying on citizens, as long as it is “incidental.”

The document accepts that the Air Force may not record information non-consensually; however it does state “collected imagery may incidentally include US persons or private property without consent.”

The report, dated April 23 was discovered by Steven Aftergood of the Federation of American Scientists and has been put online.

Data that is accidentally recorded may be stored for a period of 90 days by the Pentagon while it is analyzed to see if the subjects are legitimate targets for state surveillance. The Pentagon may also disseminate this data among other government organizations if it sees fit.

“Even though information may not be collectible, it may be retained for the length of time necessary to transfer it to another DoD entity or government agency to whose function it pertains,” states the document.

In addition, it justifies the gathering of data on domestic targets in certain circumstances. According to the paper, these include surveillance of natural disasters, environmental studies, system testing and training, and counterintelligence and security-related vulnerability assessments.

The document seems to spell bad news for civil liberties, considering the US government passed a bill in February allocating $63 billion to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

If the bill is signed into law it will effectively allow the FAA to fill US skies with drones, a massive 30,000 predicted to be operational in US airspace by 2020.

Over 30 prominent civil rights groups in the US have rounded on the FAA and demanded that it reconsider the legislation and hold a rule-making session to address privacy and safety threats.

“Unfortunately, nothing in the bill would address the very serious privacy issues raised by drone aircraft. This bill would push the nation willy-nilly toward an era of aerial surveillance without any steps to protect the traditional privacy that Americans have always enjoyed and expected,” said the American Civil Liberties Union in response to the legislation.

The bill has sparked fears among Americans that their civil liberties may be under threat, considering that the use of drones in Afghanistan and Pakistan has been extended to carry out attacks on militants.

I remember a movie from the 1980s titled “Real Genius”. A young Val Kimer and a bunch of underage geniuses at a University were working on a super-powered laser that could be shot by a pilot in a space shuttle to assassinate somebody sitting by their pool.

Now, we have unarmed drones, piloted by joystick, like a video game, which can not only be used for 24 hour surveillance on American citizens, but can also be used to eliminate American citizens.

Skynet has become aware.

Ron Paul/Chris Kyle = Goofus/Gallant

ronpaul1chriskyleOne of our Brightest and Best has tragically fallen. And, a retired United States Representative said that he had it coming.

Shocked?

For those of you who have been living under a rock, here is a summary from apnews.mynews.com:

A 25-year-old Iraq war veteran charged with murdering former Navy SEAL and “American Sniper” author Chris Kyle and his friend turned a gun onto the pair while they were at a Texas shooting range, authorities said Sunday.

Eddie Ray Routh of Lancaster was arraigned early Sunday in the deaths of Kyle, 38, and Chad Littlefield, 35, at a shooting range at Rough Creek Lodge, about 50 miles southwest of Fort Worth. He was being held on one charge of capital murder and two charges of murder.

Capt. Jason Upshaw with the Erath County Sheriff’s Office said Routh used a semi-automatic handgun, which authorities later found at his home. Upshaw said ballistics tests weren’t complete Sunday, but authorities believe it was the gun used in the shootings. Upshaw declined to give any more details about the gun.

Routh has not made any comments indicating what his motive may have been, Upshaw said. Sheriff Tommy Bryant said Routh was unemployed and “may have been suffering from some type of mental illness from being in the military himself.”

“I don’t know that we’ll ever know. He’s the only one that knows that,” Upshaw said.

Bryant didn’t know if Routh was on any medication or whether he had been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder.

The U.S. military confirmed Sunday that Routh was a corporal in the Marines, serving in active duty from 2006 to 2010. He was deployed to Iraq in 2007 and Haiti in 2010. His current duty status is listed as reserve.

Routh is being held on $3 million bond. Authorities did not know whether Routh had a lawyer yet.

Kyle, a decorated veteran, wrote the best-selling book “American Sniper: The Autobiography of the Most Lethal Sniper in U.S. Military History,” detailing his 150-plus kills of insurgents from 1999 to 2009. Kyle said in his book that Iraqi insurgents had put a bounty on his head. According to promotional information from book publisher William Morrow, Kyle deployed to Iraq four times.

Bryant said Kyle, Littlefield and Routh went to the shooting range around 3:15 p.m. Saturday. A hunting guide at Rough Creek Lodge came across the bodies of Kyle and Littlefield around 5 p.m. and called 911.

Upshaw said autopsies were still pending and he could not say how many times the men were shot or where on their bodies they were hit.

Former Congressman from Texas and nutjob for life Ron Paul tweeted the following unpatriotic heinous statement yesterday,

Chris Kyle’s death seems to confirm that “he who lives by the sword dies by the sword.” Treating PTSD at a firing range doesn’t make sense

Back on December 27, 2011, thehill.com reported on an article written by a Former Aide to Dr. Paul, Eric Dondero, that was making the round of Conservative Blogs. Here is an excerpt:

Ron Paul was opposed to the War in Afghanistan, and to any military reaction to the attacks of 9/11. He did not want to vote for the resolution. He immediately stated to us staffers, me in particular, that Bush/Cheney were going to use the attacks as a precursor for ‘invading’ Iraq. He engaged in conspiracy theories including perhaps the attacks were coordinated with the CIA, and that the Bush administration might have known about the attacks ahead of time. He expressed no sympathies whatsoever for those who died on 9/11, and pretty much forbade us staffers from engaging in any sort of memorial expressions, or openly asserting pro-military statements in support of the Bush administration.

Regarding 9/11, Dr. Paul actually said,

Think of what happened after 9/11, the minute before there was any assessment, there was glee in the administration because now we can invade Iraq, and so the war drums beat.

So, how does his son, “the rising star” among Conservatives, Rand Paul, feel about what dear ol’ Dad said?

Ben Shapiro reports for Breitbart.com,

In the aftermath of Ron Paul’s despicable tweet today slamming US Navy SEAL sniper Chris Kyle, murdered on Saturday while helping a fellow soldier learn to cope with post traumatic stress syndrome, Paul’s son, Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) has told Breitbart News exclusively, “Chris Kyle was a hero like all Americans who don the uniform to defend our country. Our prayers are with his family during this tragic time.”

Dr. Paul, after a thunderous backlash, tried to walk his Twitter comments back late yesterday on his Facebook Page,

As a veteran, I certainly recognize that this weekend’s violence and killing of Chris Kyle were a tragic and sad event. My condolences and prayers go out to Mr. Kyle’s family. Unconstitutional and unnecessary wars have endless unintended consequences. A policy of non-violence, as Christ preached, would have prevented this and similar tragedies. -REP

Everyone has heard of a backhanded compliment, but backhanded sympathy?

Concerning our Brightest and Best, Dr. Paul once asserted,

I have never met anyone who did not support our troops. Sometimes, however, we hear accusations that someone or some group does not support the men and women serving in our Armed Forces. But this is pure demagoguery, and it is intellectually dishonest.

Dr. Paul, we were all born on a day ending in “y”…but it certainly was not yesterday.

Tell it to the Army, because the Navy ain’t buyin’ it. Oh, wait…the Army won’t either.

The Epic Failure of the Republican “Establishment”

Boehner2Last week, in a post titled,”The Failed GOP Strategy of Passive Resistance”, I observed,

Out here in the Heartland of America, I have heard from Conservatives who are bumfuzzled by the actions (specifically, the lack thereof) of the Republicans in the House of Representatives and the Senate, in regards to the full throttle offensive battle being waged against America by its own president, Barack Hussein Obama.

I believe that the GOP Establishment have ordered the rank and file to shuddup and practice “Passive Resistance” in an effort to show the party as being “bi-partisan” and able to “reach across the aisle”.

The reason for their inaction has to do with the fact that the Republican Establishment are all Moderates. And, as the great Margaret Thatcher once said,

Standing in the middle of the road is very dangerous; you get knocked down by the traffic from both sides.

And, evidently the Northeast Republicans’ Club, soooper geniuses that they are, love the abuse.

On Novmber 8, 2012, Jeffrey Lord wrote the following in an article for The American Spectator:

And so, another moderate fails.

Governor Romney is a good person, a great business leader.

But, alas, he is also a moderate Republican.

As were Herbert Hoover, Alf Landon, Wendell Willkie, Thomas E. Dewey, Gerald R. Ford, George H.W. Bush, Bob Dole and John McCain. Making Mitt Romney a historical asterisk as the tenth moderate GOP nominee (Dewey was nominated twice) to lose the White House.

The exceptions to the rule are Dwight Eisenhower, who won not because he was a moderate but because he was the general-hero of World War II. Richard Nixon campaigned as the moderate he was in 1960 and lost. By 1968 he had won the nomination of a party that had shifted back to its conservative roots and he campaigned accordingly — as he did in 1972. He won narrowly the second time, by a landslide the third. George H.W. Bush ran as the heir to Reagan in 1988 and won. Governing as a moderate he lost — and lost badly in his 1992 re-election effort. George W. Bush ran as a “compassionate conservative” — which is to say a moderate — in 2000 and 2004 and squeaked by the first time thanks to the Supreme Court, winning the second time by a bare 100,000 votes in Ohio.

On Tuesday night, it comes clear, as this is written using the latest Fox News figures, Mitt Romney lost to President Obama by 2,819,339 votes.

And the news ekes out that Moderate Nominee Number 10 Romney received some 3 million Republican votes less than Moderate Nominee Number 9 — John McCain in 2008.

Which is to say, 3 million base GOP voters simply refused to vote for Romney. Doing the available math, that means had those 3 million Republicans voted for Romney he would have, as this is written, a margin of victory in the national popular vote of 180,661. Depending on the state spread, potentially an Electoral College victory as well.

Does the message get through here?

Well, for some in the GOP — no.

The usual call will now go up — just as it did in 1950 from two-time loser Dewey — that to nominate a conservative is to lose. Somehow heedless that it wasn’t Ronald Reagan and his conservatism that lost or almost lost the White House, it was this seemingly endless stream of very nice moderate Republicans.

Reasonable people can be expected to raise the point of just when that old joke attributed to Einstein will come clear. You know the one. That the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. For Republicans, this translates as yet again nominating a moderate who is said to “move to the center,” “can attract women,” “get the youth vote” and “get the minority vote.”

The strategy has failed repeatedly for some 80 years. Say again… 80 years!!!!! And yet there are still those out there who insist on doing the same thing  over — and over and over and over — again.

As we head into the Lightbringer’s second term, it appears that the Republican Establishment would rather find a scapegoat for their collective misery, that learn anything in their defeat.

On his radio program on January 13th, Rush Limbaugh said:

I think the Republican establishment is of the same frame of mind as Obama is, that the opposition is conservatives. The opposition is conservatism. And that’s why we’ve had some people ask me, “What was Colin Powell doing?” Colin Powell was on Meet the Press yesterday doing what Scarborough did on MSNBC this morning, which is what a lot of Republicans are doing, and that is criticizing conservatives. Every problem we’ve got, from the gridlock to intransigence to spending, it’s all the fault of conservatives.

Mark Levin nailed the problem with the GOP last Monday on Sean Hannity’s radio program, as therightscoop.com reported:

The Republican establishment is destroying the Republican Party. The only reason they’re in the majority in the House is because of conservatives, conservatives across the country, the grassroots.

They lost the Senate. They like to point to 2 races, one in Missouri and one in Indiana. I can point to 10 races where there were liberal to moderate Republicans who lost and of course they never mention that.

The fact of the matter is that in my opinion…until the Republican leadership that has brought us McCain and Romney, that has a feckless RNC, a preposterously incompetent get-out-the-vote operation, is removed and replaced with fresh, smart, confident, knowledgeable people, until some of our backbenchers move to the front, some of the young, tea party conservative candidates who can articulate our vision and our principles, this is going to continue.

Obama may want to destroy the Republican Party, but the Republican Party is imploding. And you know what? It needs to be cleansed, it needs to be cleaned out – not for purity reasons, not for absolutism, but because it needs to be a party that stands for something.

I agree with “The Great One”. Until the good ol’ boys, or the Northeast Republicans’ Club, as I like to call them, realize that the majority of Americans out here in the Heartland are still Conservative “bitter clingers” who love God and country, they will be victims of their own hubris, and continue to lose elections.

And, it will be nobody’s fault but their own.

Skeetin’ and Cheatin’

obamaskeetshooting

For the past for plus years, the slobbering, sycophantic lapdog Main Stream Media has been desperately trying to compare the Great Prevaricator, President Barack Hussein Obama (mm mmm mmmm) to his supposed hero, the Great Emancipator, Abraham Lincoln.

Yesterday, when the White House released this picture to the left, they unintentionally left their “irony board” on.

It was Lincoln who said,

“You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can not fool all of the people all of the time.”

It’s almost as if he had this Administration in mind.

Please allow me to present this blatant propaganda piece by the Washington Post as proof:

On his 51st birthday last August, President Obama hit the links with a group of buddies and then flew by helicopter to Camp David. There, he changed into jeans and picked up a shotgun. And then, before it got too dark, he started a round of clay target shooting.

You’d be forgiven if you didn’t think this was headline-worthy news. But on Saturday morning, the White House released and promoted a photograph of Obama shooting skeet at the presidential retreat in Maryland.

White House aides were trying to end a growing distraction just as the president plans to make a fresh push to rally public support behind his ambitious agenda to tighten gun laws, traveling to Minnesota on Monday.

The photo, taken by White House photographer Pete Souza, depicts a sunglasses-wearing Obama firing what appears to be a Browning Citori 725, the shotgun wedged against his left shoulder, a pillow of white smoke emerging from the barrel.

The photo was published a week after Obama claimed in an interview with the New Republic that he routinely shoots skeet at Camp David. The surprising assertion — Obama’s golfing and basketball hobbies are far better known — instantly stirred the political zeitgeist.

Jay Carney, Obama’s press secretary, was asked for evidence in the White House briefing room. “The Daily Show’s” Jon Stewart poked fun at the president’s apparent hobby. Gun-rights activists dismissed it, and some were skeptical that Obama was a routine skeet shooter.

A Republican congresswoman even challenged the president to a shooting contest.

“I’m sure they released the photo because there were folks raising questions about his answer, and those questions are a silly distraction in the midst of a serious debate,” David Axelrod, a longtime adviser to Obama, said in an e-mail.

“I know him pretty well. He doesn’t embellish,” Axelrod added. “If he says he’s done some shooting up there on occasion, I’m sure he has. He’s not a hunter or marksman and doesn’t pretend to be.”

The White House did not say how often Obama has gone shooting.

In the interview with the New Republic, Obama was asked if he had ever shot a gun.

“Yes, in fact, up at Camp David, we do skeet shooting all the time,” he said.

The evening of Obama’s 51st birthday, Reuters News posted the following article:

President Barack Obama celebrated his 51st birthday on Saturday with a round of golf, then helicoptered to the Camp David presidential retreat for a quiet evening off the campaign trail.

Obama, an avid golfer, played with colleagues and friends at the Andrews Air Force Base in hot, muggy weather conditions before taking Marine One to Maryland’s Catoctin Mountains in the afternoon.

The White House did not release details of the president’s evening plans or share the menu for the birthday meal he was expected to share with wife, Michelle.

Their daughters were at summer camp this week and it was not clear whether they would be present at the rustic getaway that the Obamas have visited less than past White House residents. The president often opts to golf at Andrews or play basketball in downtown Washington to unwind on the weekends.

Notice anything different between these two articles?

You’re right. In the Reuters article, written on his birthday, Obama’s manly pursuit of “doing skeet shooting” was not mentioned at all.

Almost as if never happened.

But, wait,. I thought that the Lightbringer was supposed to be the smartest person in any room in which he entered.

I mean, after all, he is from Harvard.

Perhaps, that’s where he learned that rules do not apply to him.

On Harvard!

Harvard University said Friday it issued academic sanctions against approximately 60 students who were forced to withdraw from school for a period of time in a cheating scandal that involved the final exam in a class on Congress, drawing criticism from a high-profile alumnus.

The school implicated as many as 125 students in the scandal when officials first addressed the issue last year.

The inquiry started after a teaching assistant in a spring semester undergraduate-level government class detected problems in the take-home test, including that students may have shared answers.

In a campus-wide email Friday, Faculty of Arts and Sciences Dean Michael D. Smith said the school’s academic integrity board had resolved all the cases related to the cheating probe.

He said “somewhat more than half” of the cases involved students who had to withdraw from the college for a period of time.

Harvard said that the length of a student’s withdrawal period is usually from two to four terms.

Of the cases left, about half the students got disciplinary probation. The rest weren’t disciplined.

Some athletes became ensnared, including two basketball team co-captains whom the school scratched from its team roster in the wake of the cheating investigation.

Past reports in The Harvard Crimson also linked football, baseball and hockey players to the scandal.

Smith’s said in Friday’s email that the school wouldn’t discuss specific student cases. A school spokesman, citing student privacy, also wouldn’t say if any athletes had withdrawn or say which teams might have been affected.

The dean said a school committee is working on recommendations to strengthen a culture of academic honesty and promote ethics in scholarship.

“This is a time for communal reflection and action,” he wrote. “We are responsible for creating the community in which our students study and we all thrive as scholars.”

Staples founder Thomas Stemberg, a Harvard graduate whose son is a student, on Friday criticized the school’s handling of the probe.

“If you challenge the entire faculty at the Harvard Business School and the Harvard Law School to come up with a process that took more time, cost more money, embarrassed more innocent students, and vindicated guilty faculty … that could not have outdone the process that took place,” he said.

Stemberg, a supporter of Harvard’s basketball team, knows some of the students caught up in the scandal and his son knows others.

Evidently, the cheating doesn’t stop for some Hahvahd Graduates after they get out of school…

On Harvard! On Obama!

Evidently morality and ethics are just for us common folk.

The Great and Powerful Obama (Pay No Attention to the Marxist Behind the Curtain)

obamamyworkAs I was sitting at my keyboard, waiting for some sort of divine inspiration, as often happens, something struck me (and no, it wasn’t my lovely bride backhanding me to take out the garbage).

Take a look at everything that President Barack Hussein Obama has been pushing since his misbegotten re-election:

1.) Gun Confiscation

2.) Amnesty for Illegal Immigration

3.) Gay Marriage (even in our National Cathedral)

4.) Fighter Jets to the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt

5.) Chuck Hagel as Secretary of Defense

6.) John Kerry as Secretary of State

7. ) And last, but not least, raising taxes on EVERYBODY

This is HOPE AND CHANGE?

Obama ascended to the throne of the Regime during a period when our nation was experiencing a period of economic recession, by appealing to the masses by promising that if he was elected, the oceans would rise and fall, the sun would come out tomorrow (Hey, that sounds like a song. Oh…never mind.) and everybody would receive a unicorn in their backyard. (Okay. He didn’t really promise that. But, heck, he promised everything else.)

Obama definitely has a mission. But what is it?

I mean, it’s not as radical as Valdimir Lenin’s was, is it?

Lenin endeavored to gain support by broadcasting slogans such as “Bread, Land, Peace and All Power to the Soviets.” To people suffering from famine, this promise hit the spot. Yet in elections for the Russian Constituent Assembly in late November 1917, only a quarter of voters cast ballots for the Bolsheviks. Lenin overturned the results and sent armed guards to prevent meetings of the democratic assembly. This made it virtually impossible for the Russian people to voice their concerns in a democratic way.

The years from 1917 to 1920 became known as “war communism” due to the methods the Bolsheviks used to push their political agenda. In 1918, the party was renamed the Russian Communist Party. Lenin and his communist cohorts endeavored to put Marx’s tenets of belief into practice. This marked the beginning of the Russian Civil War, which lasted from 1918 until 1922. When the war ended, the Soviet Union formed — also known as the U.S.S.R., the Soviet Union included Russia and 15 bordering states.

Lenin was aware that the upper class wouldn’t willingly give up land or wealth, so he created the New Economic Policy (NEP) to legislate redistributing land — taking it from the nobility and giving it to the poor. Upholding the necessary phases that Marx outlined, Lenin initiated the Red Terror, a threatening fear campaign led by the Bolsheviks. His goal was mass murder, which he accomplished through three main methods.

Man-made famine was Lenin’s most successful tool. He knew that if he could break the peasantry, he’d have full control. Lenin engineered famines by requiring peasants to sell their crops to him at virtually no profit, using the rationale that he needed the crops to support his army. The peasantry was so indignant that they reduced crop production drastically, leading to a full-scale civil war. The exact numbers vary, but tens of millions of people starved and millions died.

Lenin also instituted slave labor camps. Anyone who disagreed with Lenin’s rule was sent to work at one of these camps, where millions more suffered and died

And, he executed his detractors to silence their voices. During the Red Terror, hundreds of thousands of detractors were put to death. Victims included members of the bourgeoisie, White Army prisoners of war, socialists, Czarist sympathizers and innocent civilians.

I know. The guillotines have not been set up…yet. And, citizens have not been sent to Siberian internment camps…yet.

However…

With the support of a once-noble political party that has been taken over by Far Left Radicals, and a once-objective Fourth Estate, which has morphed into a government-backed propaganda arm, flooding television, radio, internet, and print sources with Obama worship, misinformation, and downright lies, about both the Lightbringer’s accomplishments and anyone who dares to oppose him (ask Sarah Palin…and Mitt Romney), that the shear audacity of it all would make Goebbels blush, Obama has been able to begin the process of turning “the shining city on a hill” into a third-world barrio, and the transformation of the Greatest Country in the World into just another Democratic Socialist nation, such as can be found in Europe.

Norman Mattoon Thomas, six-time Socialist candidate for president, said the following in a 1944 speech:

The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But, under the name of “liberalism,” they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation without knowing how it happened … The Democratic Party has adopted our (Socialist) platform.

And…here we are. So, what now? Do we just give up and say, even so, Lord Jesus, quickly come?

Well…while I look forward to the day the trump will sound, in the meanwhile, I am still living in a sacred, God-given country, whose Founders not only believed in The Creator, but, also acknowledged Him in our Founding Documents.

During his radio program on January 18th, Rush Limbaugh made the following statement of guarded optimism:

I have a sense that it’s gonna be okay. I can’t get specific, and I know it flies in the face of reality. I don’t know anymore than that. I’m not a soothsayer, nor am I a seer. I can’t predict the future. But I’m fairly confident — and it’s not because of the second term tradition that happens to every president. Some scandal or something comes along and distracts them and takes down the president. I’m not putting faith in anything like that.

…I just think that it is going to be an event or series of events that reorients people in the way they’re looking at Obama. I do think that’s gonna happen, and it’s not gonna happen because I sit here and tell people who he is and what he’s like. I’ve been doing that for four years, and so have a lot of other people. Now, I’m not saying the four years have been wasted. We’ve built the foundation.

When the event or events happen that bring about this reality that I think is gonna occur, having this foundation, people saying, “Oh, yeah! You know what? Maybe they were right” is gonna happen. “You know, I should have listened to what Limbaugh or somebody else was saying.” Maybe it is a little overreaching, going too far. It’s rooted in a belief that a lot of people — and I don’t know how many and I don’t know if it’s a majority.

But certainly a lot of people voted for Obama having no idea what was really going to happen. Now, that could be blind faith. I try never to tell myself stories. Constantly. I never tell myself feel-good stories. I try to remain grounded in Realville where I’m the mayor every day. But I do believe that a lot of people will see this. We saw the first wave of this, by the way, when the paychecks went out and the take-home pay was smaller because the tax cut on payroll taxes was restored.

There’s gonna be more as Obamacare implements. At some point, all of these economic policies are going to hit. At some point the government, the Federal Reserve or somebody, is gonna run out of tricks to delay what’s coming. What’s coming is gonna eventually happen. Reality will eventually triumph here, and when it does I think it’s what’s gonna constitute this.

I’m not saying sit back and ignore everything else and don’t oppose Obama. I’m saying nothing like that. I don’t want anybody to get nervous here. I’m not gonna do that. I’m not waving the white flag and I’m not surrendering. I think the Republicans are. I think you better get used to the fact there isn’t going to be any serious legislative opposition to Obama for the next year. If there is and I’m pleasantly surprised, cool.

I agree with Maha Rushie. It is rough out there…and going to get rougher.

However, by the Grace of God, and the indomitable will of the American people, we can turn this around.

Never give up. Never surrender.

Until He Comes,

Welcome to America…and Obamacare

obamadoctorGive me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to be free…and have Government Benefits?

The majority of Americans are dreading the implementation of Obama’s ever-growing National Healthcare Monster,  known as Obamacare.

Obama and minions are already hard at work, preparing for the socialization of the (soon to be formerly) best Healthcare System in the world, by revamping the DHS-supplied informative manual given to new legal immigrants.

Carol May of The Daily Caller reports that

…USCIS spokesman Daniel Cosgrove told TheDC the new manual will be out by the end of fiscal year 2013.

When asked if the revamping had anything to do with the president’s push for immigration reform, Cosgrove said that the effort was “an ongoing project” for the department.

As TheDC previously reported, some have concerns about the manner in which the government is promoting government benefits, including in the welcome materials, to new immigrants.

In November, Alabama Republican Sen. Jeff Sessions advocated taking the “Government Benefits” page down.

“Some of these programs are clearly not available for immigrants,” Sessions told TheDC in November, “and it just creates confusion out there and suggests that if you can get into America, you can leave and get onto these programs, and from what we are seeing, many of these people are successful in getting on benefit programs that they are not lawfully entitled to.”

DHS launched WelcometoUSA.gov in 2007, and the guidebook was first developed in 2004 and revised in 2007.

Update: After publication Sessions weighed in on the department’s expected addition of the Affordable Care Act to WelcometoUSA.gov.

“The administration’s determination to place immigrants on federal assistance, including the President’s health law, will add trillions to the cost of any amnesty,” the Alabama senator told TheDC. “It is wrong and unfair to ask Americans to pay higher taxes and bear more debt in order to provide free benefits to legal and illegal immigrants. Such a policy weakens growth and undermines the core legal and economic principle of immigration – that you should be able to establish before you come here that you are financially self-sufficient.”

What about those of us who are already as American as Apple Pie? Is Obamacare free for us, too?

Answer:  Oh, Heck no. We’re going to be paying out the wazzoo. (That’s a medical term.)

CNSNews.com tells us that

In a final regulation issued Wednesday, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) assumed that under Obamacare the cheapest health insurance plan available in 2016 for a family will cost $20,000 for the year.

Under Obamacare, Americans will be required to buy health insurance or pay a penalty to the IRS.

The IRS’s assumption that the cheapest plan for family will cost $20,000 per year is found in examples the IRS gives to help people understand how to calculate the penalty they will need to pay the government if they do not buy a mandated health plan.

The examples point to families of four and families of five, both of which the IRS expects in its assumptions to pay a minimum of $20,000 per year for a bronze plan.

“The annual national average bronze plan premium for a family of 5 (2 adults, 3 children) is $20,000,” the regulation says.

Bronze will be the lowest tier health-insurance plan available under Obamacare–after Silver, Gold, and Platinum. Under the law, the penalty for not buying health insurance is supposed to be capped at either the annual average Bronze premium, 2.5 percent of taxable income, or $2,085.00 per family in 2016.

Here is the best summary of this unneeded monstrosity that I’ve ever seen, given by an American Doctor, who was introducing a serious speech about Obamacare:

We’re going to be gifted with a health care plan we are forced to purchase and fined if we don’t, which purportedly covers at least 10 million more people without adding a single new doctor, but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn’t understand it, passed by a Congress that didn’t read it, but exempted themselves from it, and signed by a president who smokes … same sentence … with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn’t pay his taxes, for which we will be taxed for four years before any benefits take effect by the government, which has already bankrupted Social Security and Medicare — all to be overseen by a Surgeon General who is obese, and financed by a country that’s broke.”

– Dr. Barbara Ruth Bellar

The Maha Rushie’s brother, David Limbaugh, wrote the following :

Americans were outraged and horrified by this president’s reckless spending and his endless assaults on the Constitution, but no issue drove them to rise up and fight back like Obamacare – both the abominable legislative monstrosity itself and the tyrannical, corrupt manner by which Obama crammed it through the legislative process.

So now, in an effort to buy votes from potential new Democrat voters, the President and his Administration are marketing (And, I should know, I’m a VP of Marketing) Obamacare to legal immigrants, as one of the perks gifted to them by their benevolent Uncle Sugar.

I always thought that the promise of American Freedom was enough to buy loyalty.
