“Anti-Bullying” Campaigns and California’s Bill 1266: Socially Engineering Our Children

Bullying is wrong. Trust me. I was a victim of it.

I have probably related this before, but, when I was young, I was a small, sickly kid with asthma. In fact, when I graduated high school at 17, I was only around 5′ 4″. Between a growth spurt and taking Weight Training as one of my required Physical Education courses, by the time I graduated college, I was 5″ 10″, 210 lbs.

But, I digress…

I was picked on a lot as a kid, so much so, that, during what would be called now my Middle School Years, I would carry a lead-filled Baseball bat around the neighborhood with me, given to me by the local church team.

Back in the 1970s, the Federal Government was not involved in the everyday lives of America’s School children. Washington left the raising of children up to their parents, family, churches, and communities.

There were no “Headstart Programs”, no Michelle Obama School Lunch Menus, and no Federal and State Government “Anti-Bullying Campaigns”. We had to stand up for ourselves.

Thank God. 

If you haven’t been paying attention, or haven’t already figured it out, these government-sponsored programs, under the guise of “protecting our children”, are propaganda tools, designed to mainstream LGBT  sexual behaviors.

Through programs like World Wresting Entertainment’s “Be A Star” providing celebrity-endorsed camouflage, these programs have grown in in popularity and gained steam at the state level.

“Seth’s Law” is a new law that strengthens existing state anti-bullying laws to help protect all California public school students. Seth’s Law requires public schools in California to update their anti-bullying policies and programs, and it focuses on protecting students who are bullied based on their actual or perceived sexual orientation and gender identity/gender expression, as well as race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, disability, and religion.

Why did the California Legislature pass Seth’s Law?

California law says that all public school students should have equal rights and opportunities. Yet many lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning students report that they experience significant bullying in California schools. And teachers, administrators, and other staff often fail to address the bullying when they see it.

Seth’s Law is named after a 13-year-old California student who tragically took his own life in 2010 after years of anti-gay bullying that his school failed to address.

AT A GLANCE: What does state anti-bullying law require school districts to do?

n Adopt a strong anti-bullying policy that specifically spells out prohibited bases for bullying, including sexual orientation and gender identity/gender expression.

n Adopt a specific process for receiving and investigating complaints of bullying, including a requirement that school personnel intervene if they witness bullying.

n Publicize the anti-bullying policy and complaint process, including posting the policy in all schools and offices.

n Post on the district website materials to support victims of bullying.

School Personnel Must Intervene

Seth’s Law specifically contains the following requirement: “If school personnel witness an act of discrimination, harassment, intimidation, or bullying, he or she shall take immediate steps to intervene when safe to do so.”

Also, in California, the state House and Senate have taken it a step further.

California transgender kids can now use any bathroom they like and if a school tries to prevent a student from doing so, it will be a violation of state law. The California state senate has voted 21-9 to pass A.B. 1266, a K-12 transgender rights bill that will change the education code to specify that regardless of the gender listed on a piece of paper in the front office, a student can participate in sex-segregated activities, athletic teams, and yes, use bathroom facilities consistent with his or her gender identity. “We know that these particular students suffer much abuse and bullying and denigration. We can’t change that overnight, but what we can do is make sure that the rules are such that they get a fair shake,” Sen. Mark Leno told the Associated Press.

Governor Moonbeam (Jerry Brown) should be signing this outrage into law any day now.

Would somebody out there, please tell me when a child realizes that he is actually a little girl trapped in a little boy’s body?

Does it happen when they’re in the bathtub with Ernie’s rubber duckie?

Oh, by the way, did you see where the New Yorker Magazine outed the Sesame Street Muppets Bert and Ernie as being gay? Who next? Batman and Robin? I mean, an older and younger guy running around in tights…

What is it with Liberals and sexual deviance? Are they brought up so sexually repressed, that they think about deviancy all the cotton-picking time?

I recently read the story about a wacko couple who decided that their little 6 year old boy was transgendered, and started dressing him and referring to him as a girl. Wishcasting ?

And, that brings us back to California Bill 1266, allowing the “transgendered’ to use whatever restroom and locker room in school that they want to walk into.

Can you imagine the possibilities?

Uhhh…yeah, coach. I have to go shower with our High School Girls’ Track Team. I’m transgendered.

Now, I remember when the macho girl on our Girl’s High School Basketball Team walked into the boy’s locker room on the Cross Country guys, but that was just her being obnoxious.

When I was in my early 20s,  back in the early 1980s, I sang with a young adult singing group. We would perform at nursing homes and events. One of the programs we would do, featured songs about the states. We usually would engage in some snappy patter before we sang, in order to introduce the song.

I introduced the song “California, Here I Come”, by saying the following:

…and, folks you know, California is the world’s biggest bowl of granola. What ain’t fruits and nuts…is flakes.

Barack Hussein Obama and the Never-Ending “Arab Spring”

On June 4, 2009, President Barack Hussein Obama (peace be upon him) in a speech to the Muslim World at the University of Cairo, in Cairo, Egypt, said the following

I’ve come here to Cairo to seek a new beginning between the United States and Muslims around the world, one based on mutual interest and mutual respect, and one based upon the truth that America and Islam are not exclusive and need not be in competition. Instead, they overlap, and share common principles — principles of justice and progress; tolerance and the dignity of all human beings.

I do so recognizing that change cannot happen overnight. I know there’s been a lot of publicity about this speech, but no single speech can eradicate years of mistrust, nor can I answer in the time that I have this afternoon all the complex questions that brought us to this point. But I am convinced that in order to move forward, we must say openly to each other the things we hold in our hearts and that too often are said only behind closed doors. There must be a sustained effort to listen to each other; to learn from each other; to respect one another; and to seek common ground. As the Holy Koran tells us, “Be conscious of God and speak always the truth.” (Applause.) That is what I will try to do today — to speak the truth as best I can, humbled by the task before us, and firm in my belief that the interests we share as human beings are far more powerful than the forces that drive us apart.

Now part of this conviction is rooted in my own experience. I’m a Christian, but my father came from a Kenyan family that includes generations of Muslims. As a boy, I spent several years in Indonesia and heard the call of the azaan at the break of dawn and at the fall of dusk. As a young man, I worked in Chicago communities where many found dignity and peace in their Muslim faith.

As a student of history, I also know civilization’s debt to Islam. It was Islam — at places like Al-Azhar — that carried the light of learning through so many centuries, paving the way for Europe’s Renaissance and Enlightenment. It was innovation in Muslim communities — (applause) — it was innovation in Muslim communities that developed the order of algebra; our magnetic compass and tools of navigation; our mastery of pens and printing; our understanding of how disease spreads and how it can be healed. Islamic culture has given us majestic arches and soaring spires; timeless poetry and cherished music; elegant calligraphy and places of peaceful contemplation. And throughout history, Islam has demonstrated through words and deeds the possibilities of religious tolerance and racial equality. (Applause.)

I also know that Islam has always been a part of America’s story. The first nation to recognize my country was Morocco. In signing the Treaty of Tripoli in 1796, our second President, John Adams, wrote, “The United States has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion or tranquility of Muslims.” And since our founding, American Muslims have enriched the United States. They have fought in our wars, they have served in our government, they have stood for civil rights, they have started businesses, they have taught at our universities, they’ve excelled in our sports arenas, they’ve won Nobel Prizes, built our tallest building, and lit the Olympic Torch. And when the first Muslim American was recently elected to Congress, he took the oath to defend our Constitution using the same Holy Koran that one of our Founding Fathers — Thomas Jefferson — kept in his personal library. (Applause.)

So I have known Islam on three continents before coming to the region where it was first revealed. That experience guides my conviction that partnership between America and Islam must be based on what Islam is, not what it isn’t. And I consider it part of my responsibility as President of the United States to fight against negative stereotypes of Islam wherever they appear. (Applause.)

On May 19, 2011, speaking before an “Amen Chorus” in the State Department, (with the cameras on, naturally) Obama spoke about the marvelous Arab Spring, which had just begun…

The question before us is what role America will play as this story unfolds. For decades, the United States has pursued a set of core interests in the region: countering terrorism and stopping the spread of nuclear weapons; securing the free flow of commerce and safe-guarding the security of the region; standing up for Israel’s security and pursuing Arab-Israeli peace.

We will continue to do these things, with the firm belief that America’s interests are not hostile to people’s hopes; they’re essential to them. We believe that no one benefits from a nuclear arms race in the region, or al Qaeda’s brutal attacks. We believe people everywhere would see their economies crippled by a cut-off in energy supplies. As we did in the Gulf War, we will not tolerate aggression across borders, and we will keep our commitments to friends and partners.

Yet we must acknowledge that a strategy based solely upon the narrow pursuit of these interests will not fill an empty stomach or allow someone to speak their mind. Moreover, failure to speak to the broader aspirations of ordinary people will only feed the suspicion that has festered for years that the United States pursues our interests at their expense. Given that this mistrust runs both ways –- as Americans have been seared by hostage-taking and violent rhetoric and terrorist attacks that have killed thousands of our citizens -– a failure to change our approach threatens a deepening spiral of division between the United States and the Arab world.

And that’s why, two years ago in Cairo, I began to broaden our engagement based upon mutual interests and mutual respect. I believed then -– and I believe now -– that we have a stake not just in the stability of nations, but in the self-determination of individuals. The status quo is not sustainable. Societies held together by fear and repression may offer the illusion of stability for a time, but they are built upon fault lines that will eventually tear asunder.

So we face a historic opportunity. We have the chance to show that America values the dignity of the street vendor in Tunisia more than the raw power of the dictator. There must be no doubt that the United States of America welcomes change that advances self-determination and opportunity. Yes, there will be perils that accompany this moment of promise. But after decades of accepting the world as it is in the region, we have a chance to pursue the world as it should be.

Of course, as we do, we must proceed with a sense of humility. It’s not America that put people into the streets of Tunis or Cairo -– it was the people themselves who launched these movements, and it’s the people themselves that must ultimately determine their outcome.

Not every country will follow our particular form of representative democracy, and there will be times when our short-term interests don’t align perfectly with our long-term vision for the region. But we can, and we will, speak out for a set of core principles –- principles that have guided our response to the events over the past six months:

The United States opposes the use of violence and repression against the people of the region. (Applause.)

The United States supports a set of universal rights. And these rights include free speech, the freedom of peaceful assembly, the freedom of religion, equality for men and women under the rule of law, and the right to choose your own leaders -– whether you live in Baghdad or Damascus, Sanaa or Tehran.

Last Wednesday, Obama was forced to speak about the revolution in Egypt, leading to his fellow travelers, President Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood’s, being thrown out of power by the Egyptian people…

The United States is monitoring the very fluid situation in Egypt, and we believe that ultimately the future of Egypt can only be determined by the Egyptian people. Nevertheless, we are deeply concerned by the decision of the Egyptian Armed Forces to remove President Morsy and suspend the Egyptian constitution. I now call on the Egyptian military to move quickly and responsibly to return full authority back to a democratically elected civilian government as soon as possible through an inclusive and transparent process, and to avoid any arbitrary arrests of President Morsy and his supporters. Given today’s developments, I have also directed the relevant departments and agencies to review the implications under U.S. law for our assistance to the Government of Egypt.

The United States continues to believe firmly that the best foundation for lasting stability in Egypt is a democratic political order with participation from all sides and all political parties —secular and religious, civilian and military. During this uncertain period, we expect the military to ensure that the rights of all Egyptian men and women are protected, including the right to peaceful assembly, due process, and free and fair trials in civilian courts.  Moreover, the goal of any political process should be a government that respects the rights of all people, majority and minority; that institutionalizes the checks and balances upon which democracy depends; and that places the interests of the people above party or faction. The voices of all those who have protested peacefully must be heard – including those who welcomed today’s developments, and those who have supported President Morsy. In the interim, I urge all sides to avoid violence and come together to ensure the lasting restoration of Egypt’s democracy.

As you can tell, Scooter is not a happy camper.

Now, I’m just spitballin’ here…but, shouldn’t the President of the United States of America be standing for Freedom, not for Oppression?

Is this never-ending Arab Spring in the Middle East a direct result of his June 4, 2009 suck-up to the Muslim World?

If you will remember, gentle reader, at the same time Obama was kissing the posteriors of the Muslim World, his State Department Spokespeople were telling us that the “War on Terror” was over with, and there were no such thing as Islamic Terrorist Attacks any more, just “Man-Caused Disasters”.

The kissing up to the Muslim World continues in Obama’s Second Term as, just in the past several months, Obama has hosted representatives off the MB, the ISNA, and Radical Islamic Cleric, Sheik Abdullah bin Bayyahm, who had actually been barred from entering our country!

Shouldn’t Obama be protecting us from our sworn enemies, not inviting them to OUR White House and hugging their necks?

While Obama’s DOJ and IRS have been harassing Christian and Conservative Groups alike, Obama has been welcoming those who wish to behead us Infidels, with open arms.

 

Think about something, did the gigantic bonfire, known as Arab Spring, happen under President Ronald Reagan? Did it happen under President George W. Bush? NO. 

The responsibility for what is going on in the Middle East and its potential threat to our allies in Israel and to this sacred land, as well, lies on the narrow shoulders of President Barack Hussein Obama (mm mmm mmmm).

Smart Power! has proved to be anything but.

Impeachment, Egyptian Style: Obama Still Stands with Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood

Eqyptian Uprising 1Back in March of this year, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry rewarded Egypt for President Mohammed Morsi’s pledges of political and economic reforms by gifting the Administration’s new-found friend $250 million of OUR tax money to support the country’s “future as a democracy.”

At the same time, Lurch…err…Kerry also told Morsi that the Obama administration will keep close watch on how Morsi, who came to power in June as Egypt’s first freely elected president, honors his commitment and that any additional “gifts” would depend on it.

So, there’s $250,000,000 of OUR money down the cotton-pickin’- drain.

And, the sad thing is, even after his own countrymen threw Morsi and his Muslim Brotherhood buddies out on their ear, our dhimmi president is still “standing with the Muslims”.

The Obama administration’s call for an “inclusive” political process in Egypt with a role for the Muslim Brotherhood has been overshadowed by deadly clashes between security forces and supporters of the Islamist group.

Violent protests yesterday in Cairo and elsewhere over the military’s ouster of President Mohamed Mursi raised doubts about prospects for an eventual accommodation that would allow the Brotherhood that supports him to compete in new elections.

While President Barack Obama’s administration has stopped short of condemning the July 3 military takeover, it has called on Egyptian leaders to pursue “a transparent political process that is inclusive of all parties and groups,” including “avoiding any arbitrary arrests of Mursi and his supporters,” Bernadette Meehan, a spokeswoman for the National Security Council, said July 4 in a statement.

The administration has urged the Egyptian military to stop using heavy-handed tactics, according to two U.S. officials who asked not to be identified commenting on private communications. They said the administration is concerned that some in the military may want to provoke the Islamists to violence and provide a rationale for crushing the movement once and for all.

Such a move would fail and probably prompt a shift to al-Qaeda type terrorist tactics by extremists in the Islamist movement in Egypt and elsewhere, the U.S. officials said.

In 2006, in an article titled “The Truth about the Muslim Brotherhood”, posted on frontpagemag.com, Dr. Rachel Ehrenfeld and Alyssa A. Lappen wrote that…

Given that political subjugation of non-Muslims is built into Islamic law, and that the MB desires to return to “classical Islam,” it is not surprising that the organization was the fountainhead from which all Sunni terrorist organizations have flowed. Its offspring include Al-Qaeda,[157] HAMAS, [158] Palestinian Islamic Jihad, [159] Gamaat Islamiyyah, [160] the Philippine Abu Sayyaf group,[161] and the Algerian Group for Preaching and Combat (GSPC) [162]and Armed Islamic Group (GIA) [163]. Between 1992-1998, the Algerian terrorists murdered an estimated 200,000 people. [164] Today, according to Italian security agencies, and as reported by Kathryn Haahr-Escolano [165] of the Center for Intelligence Research and Analysis, GSPC cells in Italy not only target Italy, but “employ a dual-track approach to planning terrorist attacks and provide support infrastructure—safe houses, communications, weapons procurement and documentation—to GSPC networks in other European countries.”

The ties of all these terrorist groups to the MB are evident from their identical strategies and overall Islamist agenda, and they often carry out joint operations. The MB even influenced Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, [166] who developed the Iranian version of their ideology in the 1970s. Indeed, Khomeini adhered to the teaching of Egyptian MB leader Qutb [167]and followed the lead of Muhammad Navab-Safavi, [168] who was a guest of the MB in Egypt in 1953. [169] Navab-Safavi later formed the dreaded Iranian death squad, the Fedaiyon-e-Islam, or the ‘Soldiers of Islam.’

In Egypt, where the group was founded in 1928 and later banned, the Brotherhood worked under the Islamic doctrine of “concealment” (kitman) [170] in order to “Islamize” the country. In the 1930’s and 1940’s, the MB collaborated with the Nazis. Hajj Amin al-Husseini,[171] the MB chief in British Mandate Palestine, strongly supported Arab links with the Nazis, particularly in Syria, Lebanon and Iraq, where he backed the short-lived pro-Nazi regime of Rashid Ali al-Gailani [172] in 1941. In Egypt too, the MB orchestrated riots, occupied police stations and attempted coups d’etat. Following their failed 1954 attempt to assassinate Gamal Abdel Nasser, [173] MB loyalists fled Egypt to the universities[174] of Saudi Arabia, where they were granted business monopolies to finance their future reemergence; in 1961 the sympathetic King Sa’ud [175] even funded their establishment of the Islamic University in Medina. In October 1981, an MB offshoot group assassinated Egyptian President Anwar Sadat. In the last decade alone, MB offspring including Gama’a al-Islamiya and the Abdullah Azzam Brigades repeatedly attacked Western tourists, killing hundreds and wounding many more.

Since the history of the MB is full of instigating civil wars and committing atrocities in countries such as Egypt, Syria, Sudan and Algeria, their expansion and success elsewhere is destined to wreak more havoc and destabilize every nation in which they are allowed to operate freely.

So, why is the President of these United States, Barack Hussein Obama, standing with an enemy of freedom? An enemy who wants every single American Infidel beheaded, and, who, to this day, refers to this sacred land as “The Great Satan”.

It is well known, that a young Obama, after his mother wed a  quite well-off fellow from Indonesia, attended a Madrassa, or Muslim School, in Jakarta.

I believe that the time he spent among “the religion of peace” in his youth, and the 20 years he spent under the “Reformed Muslim” (Liberation Theology) teachings of “ex”-American Muslim, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, molded and cemented his attitude toward Muslims.

Obama innately trusts Muslims…even radical ones.

Lari Regan, in an article for americanthinker.com, published in April of this year, wrote that…

Obama did not create the Islamist ideology that has fed the fervor of modern-day terrorism.  But from his Cairo speech through his speech Monday night just after the Boston bombings, in which he refused to call the attacks terrorism (he conceded the point the following day), he has made it clear that he does not believe that terrorism is a continuing threat to the lives and safety of Americans.  His refusal to use the terms “War on Terror” and “Islamic fundamentalism” are just examples of a belief either that he can wish away evil or that evil simply does not exist.  But what the country needs is a president who understands Islamic jihad for what it is — the totalitarian, fundamentalist dogma that drives the violence perpetrated by those who have waged holy war on the West.  And Obama has yet to give us any indication that he understands these very real threats, or that he is interested in, and capable of, protecting us from them.

Indeed.

Even after over 4 and 1/2 years in office, Obama, if he has a clue as to how barbaric and devious radical Muslims are, sure doesn’t let on.

Representatives of the Muslim Brotherhood have visited OUR White House several times now, during the Obama Presidency. Obama truly believes that he can broker peace in the Mid-East by standing by and supporting the Grandfather of all Islamic Terrorist Groups.

Naivete or a Fellow Traveler? You be the judge.

His love for, and embracing of,  these murderous barbarians could very well be the death of us all.

It sure as shootin’ hasn’t done the good folks living in the Land of the Pharaohs any good, whatsoever.

Freedom…What a Concept.

American FreedomIn yesterday’s post, I touched on how the word “Freedom” is misunderstood.

The words “Freedom” and “Liberty” are intertwined…similar offspring from one Father…the Father of Man.

As as 54 year old, I was privileged to cast my first-ever vote for Ronald Wilson Reagan, the greatest President of the United States of my generation. He once said, 

Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same.

One reason that President Reagan was so beloved by my generation was the fact that he dared to espouse the same beliefs, secular and sacred, which our Founding Fathers held so dear.

Especially, their beliefs concerning this unique gift of God, known as American Freedom.

Benjamin Franklin said,

Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters.

What Dr. Franklin was talking about is the fact, as you’ve seen me state time and time again, that with Freedom comes Responsibility. Our actions have a direct effect on those around us.

Furthermore, man is a corrupt animal. Every child learns how to lie, at an early age. That is why we are told as parents to “raise a child in the way in which they should go”.

And, as those of us my age have observed, in the last couple of generations, there are less parents heeding that admonition from God’s Word.

Walk into any Walmart across America, and observe the behavior of children and their parents. It have become almost impossible to walk though a Walmart without almost running over a kid. And, please don’t stand there and wait for an apology from the mother of the “precious darling”, those come few and far between.

To be bold, a lot of these undisciplined children, grow up to be young adults, who seem to be allergic to responsibility. These are the ones, who, after college, refuse to leave home. Like the movie title, they experience a “Failure to Launch”.

Their every breathing moment is a quest for self-fulfillment, and an all-consuming involvement in a love affair…with themselves.

This selfishness guides their political ideology, as well. Usually these individuals become, either Liberals, or, they identify themselves as Libertarians. Those who identify themselves as Liberals, believe that their intellect is innately higher than the rest of us, and, therefore, they should be able to be the Elite Class, political party in charge of our nation. Those who choose to identify themselves as Libertarians, claim to believe in Fiscal Conservatism, and  Social Liberalism.

There is also a different sort of Libertarian in America….those who believe in the Constitution and the liberty of the individual. Those “Constitutionalists” are not the ones to whom I am referring.

Where the problem arises is the fact that Liberalism, Libertarian. and Libertine all share the same root word “lib”, which means “free”. The word “Liberty” contains that word, also.

The problem is, “Freedom” or “Liberty” without conscience, is licentiousness. And, unrestricted  licentiousness will destroy an empire.

If man is left to his own devices, he usually builds his own Golden Calf.

And, I am afraid that is what has happened in this sacred land.

Dr. Franklin once wrote,

I have lived, Sir, a long time, and the longer I live, the more convincing proofs I see of this truth, that God governs in the affairs of men. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without His notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without his aid? We have been assured, Sir, in the Sacred Writings, that “except the Lord build the House, they labor in vain that build it.” I firmly believe this; and I also believe that without His concurring aid we shall succeed in this political building no better, than the Builders of Babel: We shall be divided by our partial local interests; our projects will be confounded, and we ourselves shall become a reproach and bye word down to future ages. And what is worse, mankind may hereafter from this unfortunate instance, despair of establishing governments by human wisdom and leave it to chance, war and conquest.

Just the other day, in Texas, a group of Pro-life Protesters, standing outside the Capitol, where a bill calling for restrictions on third trimester abortions was being discussed, suddenly started singing the great American Hymn, “Amazing Grace”. Once they began, Pro-Abortion counter-protesters started chanted “Hail Satan! and “Jesus should have been aborted!”.

Now, I have seen Liberals on Conservative websites claim those horrible chants were just a feeble attempt to drown out the Pro-Lifers.  I asked a Liberal, who wrote such an excuse, if he would be able to chant those words in a public square.

I never got an answer.

Would you, as an average American, be able to say something that blasphemous in public? Probably not.

My love for the Savior prevents me from even thinking them.

The point of my post is, while my generation and the majority of Americans, I believe, still recognize that Divine Spark that led to the birth of our American Freedom, we have those among us, who would rather fulfill their own selfish desires than be held accountable for their actions by their fellow man or a Divine Power. They proclaim American Exceptionalism, however, they do not seem to wish to participate in it. In fact, they seem to be quite content to watch the “shining city on a hill” be “radically changed” into North Korea or Venezuela, while, socially, coming down on the very same side of important national issues, as the Liberals they claim to oppose.

President Reagan once said,

Freedom prospers when religion is vibrant and the rule of law under God is acknowledged.

Perhaps, that is the reason we find ourselves as a nation, struggling so mightily to stay free.

July 4, 2013: Through the Night With a Light From Above.

Like many of you, I have been watching events unfold halfway across the globe in the streets of Egypt.  Egypt’s President Morsi, and his fellow travelers in the Muslim Brotherhood, have been tossed out on their ears by their opposition in the last election, aided by the Egyptian Military. The world witnessed a remarkable scene the other day, as one third of that ancient nation took to the streets to march for their freedom from oppression, in a scene reminiscent of Moses leading the Jewish people out of bondage, all those centuries ago.

237 years ago today, our forefathers declared their freedom from oppression, too.

When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.–That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, –That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.

Freedom. What a unique, yet, misunderstood word. What is Freedom? It is the ability to do whatever one wishes, regardless of the consequences to those around us, including family and friends?

NO. That would be licentiousness, debauchery, or simply being a libertine.

So, how do we define our American Freedom?

I believe our American Freedom is a unique gift from God.

Our forefathers braved harsh ocean voyages, only to then have to endure miserable living conditions, including savage Indians, exposure to the elements, and disease, in order to secure Freedom to worship God as they wished.

Our Freedom, or Liberty, if you will, springs not from self-centered lustful desires, but a desire to make a better life for ourselves, our family, and those who follow behind us. Our Liberty is an expression of our human hearts which springs from a Divine Origin.

Our Founders understood the dangers they faced when the set out to this sacred land. Their’s was a voyage of faith, a journey of hope, full of joyous anticipation at what their new home would be like and what their new life would be like.

When they got here and began to forge their new lives, they soon found themselves to still be under the oppressive rule of King George III.

They choice they made to declare their independence was not an easy one, and the war to achieve their freedom cost many lives and much sacrifice.

Personal Sacrifice was accepted by these Freedom Fighters with no questions asked.  Sacrifices were made to secure their freedom…and ours.

Those citizen soldiers understood that with Freedom comes Responsibility…a responsibility to the idea of Freedom, to their fellow “Americans”, and to prosperity. They knew this was a serious decision. They also knew by Whom’s Grace they would gain their freedom…

We, therefore, the Representatives of the united States of America, in General Congress, Assembled, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the Name, and by Authority of the good People of these Colonies, solemnly publish and declare, That these United Colonies are, and of Right ought to be Free and Independent States; that they are Absolved from all Allegiance to the British Crown, and that all political connection between them and the State of Great Britain, is and ought to be totally dissolved; and that as Free and Independent States, they have full Power to levy War, conclude Peace, contract Alliances, establish Commerce, and to do all other Acts and Things which Independent States may of right do. Present-day America is in the middle of our own struggle for freedom. Our present Administration has been attacking the freedoms which our forefathers promised us in our nation’s Constitution, precious freedoms which our nations Best and Brightest have fought and died to protect.

Licentiousness and self-centerness revolving around relative morality and situational ethics are our nation’s cultural norms. Or, at least that is what our Administration and their sycophants in the Main Stream Media try to sell us every day.

Some of our citizens will tell you that as long as your behavior “doesn’t hurt anybody”, you can do whatever you want, in the name of Liberty, redefining the meaning of a word which our Founders pledged their sacred honor to defend to the death.

America’s populace is still struggling through the worst economic situation our country has seen since the Great Depression.  Approximately 20% of our countrymen are unemployed, underemployed, or have just plain given up.  One-sixth of our nation has to rely on assistance from our government just to have food on the table, while remaining under the governance of a president who worships a Far Left political ideology steeped in the redistribution of wealth teachings of Karl Marx and Saul Alinsky.

Americans have watched, feeling helpless, as he and his self-centered minions in Congress took our tax dollars and spent all of it and then some, as if there was no tomorrow, leaving our children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with a debt that this shining city on a hill may never recover from.

Meanwhile, those whom we have elected to serve us, are serving themselves, by trying to create new voters from those who have entered our country illegally.

While, at the same time, Americans are protesting to keep their perceived “right” to murder the unborn, denying them the chance to vote…and to live, while shouting “Hail Satan!” and “Jesus should have been aborted”.

We have watched, with our mouths hanging wide open, as the President of the United States and his State Department, have reached out to embrace and fund the very barbarians that want to murder each and every one of us, while at the same time, criticizing and alienating our closest allies.

For example, yesterday, the “Leader of the Free World” pledged his continued support for the ousted Egyptian President and the Grandfather of Islamic Terrorist Organizations, the Muslim Brotherhood.

Now, I’m just spitballin’ here…but, shouldn’t the President of the United States of America be standing for Freedom, not for Oppression?

Shouldn’t he be protecting us from our sworn enemies, not inviting them to OUR White House and hugging their necks?

Shouldn’t we be allowed in OUR OWN HOUSE?

Our nation is experiencing a very dark time.

In such a dark time as this, the words of the great, classic Patriot Anthem, written by the legendary Irving Berlin, which made the late, great songstress, Kate Smith famous, shine through as a beacon of hope…and a fervent prayer to Our Creator…

While the storm clouds gather far across the sea,

Greasing the Wheels: Obama Delays ACA Employer Mandate…Until After the Mid-Terms.

obamadoctorObamacare, or, as the Liberals refer to it, the Affordable Care Act, is hanging over America like an F5 Tornado about to touch down, leaving a barren landscape, as far as the eye can see.

Mark J. Mazur is the Assistant Secretary for Tax Policy, in the U.S. Treasury Department. He is responsible for developing, analyzing, and coordinating Treasury’s and the Administration’s agenda, policies, and guidance on tax issues.

Yesterday, Mazur made the following announcement on the Treasury Department’s Blog:

Over the past several months, the Administration has been engaging in a dialogue with businesses – many of which already provide health coverage for their workers – about the new employer and insurer reporting requirements under the Affordable Care Act (ACA). We have heard concerns about the complexity of the requirements and the need for more time to implement them effectively. We recognize that the vast majority of businesses that will need to do this reporting already provide health insurance to their workers, and we want to make sure it is easy for others to do so. We have listened to your feedback. And we are taking action.

The Administration is announcing that it will provide an additional year before the ACA mandatory employer and insurer reporting requirements begin. This is designed to meet two goals. First, it will allow us to consider ways to simplify the new reporting requirements consistent with the law. Second, it will provide time to adapt health coverage and reporting systems while employers are moving toward making health coverage affordable and accessible for their employees. Within the next week, we will publish formal guidance describing this transition. Just like the Administration’s effort to turn the initial 21-page application for health insurance into a three-page application, we are working hard to adapt and to be flexible about reporting requirements as we implement the law.

Here is some additional detail. The ACA includes information reporting (under section 6055) by insurers, self-insuring employers, and other parties that provide health coverage. It also requires information reporting (under section 6056) by certain employers with respect to the health coverage offered to their full-time employees. We expect to publish proposed rules implementing these provisions this summer, after a dialogue with stakeholders – including those responsible employers that already provide their full-time work force with coverage far exceeding the minimum employer shared responsibility requirements – in an effort to minimize the reporting, consistent with effective implementation of the law.

Once these rules have been issued, the Administration will work with employers, insurers, and other reporting entities to strongly encourage them to voluntarily implement this information reporting in 2014, in preparation for the full application of the provisions in 2015. Real-world testing of reporting systems in 2014 will contribute to a smoother transition to full implementation in 2015.

Per a report completed by the Washington Council of Ernst & Young

  • According to Treasury Notice 2011-36, any employer with 50+ full-time equivalents is considered a large employer. For each calendar month of the preceding calendar year, employers must:

1. Calculate full-time employees (including seasonal): (30+ hrs/wk/month)

2. Full-time equivalents: aggregate number of hours worked by non-full-time employees (including seasonal) ÷ 120

3. Add the number of full-time employees and FTEs calculated in steps (1) and (2) for each of the 12 months in the preceding calendar year.

4. Add the monthly totals and divide by 12. If the average exceeds 50 FTEs, determine whether the seasonal employee exception applies (see below).

5. Seasonal employee exception: If an employer’s workforce exceeds 50 FT employees for 120 days or fewer during a calendar year, and the employees in excess of 50 who were employed during that period of

no more than 120 days (four calendar months, for this purpose only) were seasonal employees, the employer would not be an applicable large employer.

6. If the seasonal exception does not apply, the employer is an applicable large employer for the current calendar year.

  • If a large employer does not offer coverage to their full-time employees and their dependents, employers face a penalty of:

$2,000 x the total number of full-time employees (FTE) if at least one FTE is receiving a premium assistance tax credit

  • If a large employer offers coverage to their full-time employees and their dependents but the coverage is unaffordable to certain employees or does not provide

minimum value, employers face a penalty of:

  • The lesser of $3,000 x the number of FTEs receiving a premium assistance tax credit or $2,000 x the total number of FTEs

We’re talking big money here.

So, what would trump the Federal Government’s well-known penchant for avarice?

Their all-consuming survival instinct.

Obama and the rest of the Democrats know what a train wreck this ironically-named “Affordable Care Act” is going to be.

And, if they dare allow it to unfold on schedule, there will never be another Democrat elected again for decades, even if they bring in millions of replacement voters from Mexico, as they are trying to accomplish with the Senate Gang of 8’s horrendous Amnesty Bill.

Even time.com had to tell the truth about this move:

The so-called individual mandate is unaffected by the rule change. That provision requires the vast majority of Americans to purchase insurance or pay a penalty, with tax credits provided to those who can’t afford coverage.

Republican former Congressional Budget Office director Douglas Holtz-Eakin called the move “deviously brilliant,” by removing a potential electoral impediment from in front of congressional Democrats before the midterms.

“Democrats no longer face the immediate specter of running against the fallout from a heavy regulatory imposition on employers across the land,” Holtz-Eakin wrote. “Explaining away the mandate was going to be a big political lift; having the White House airbrush it from the landscape is way better.”

Uh huh.

So, by delaying this incredible tax burden aimed directly at the heart of our economy…America’s “Large” Employers…the men and women who actually provide us with jobs, the Democrats are hoping that American Capitalists have short memories, and absolutely no foresight.

Just as the Vichy Republicans believe that former illegal aliens will be so grateful for the passage of the Amnesty Bill, that they will actually vote for the GOP, so Democrats believe that America’s Businessmen will ignore the Employer Mandate that’s is hanging directly over their heads, like the blade of a guillotine.

I believe that both political parties are counting their chickeeeens….before they come home…to roost!

 

Obama: Just Another “Face in the Crowd”

obamacarterLike the rest of you, I have been watching, slack-jawed, as the 45th President of these United States, Barack Hussein Obama (mm mmm mmmm) hit the ground running, in this, his second term.

Obama has been a whirling dervish in his unrelenting push to take away , or, at least severely limit our Constitutional Rights. The three big issues in front of us are Illegal Immigration, Abortion, and Gay Marriage, all to be found under the subtitle, “Obama’s War Against Traditional American Values”.

These battles are still being fought by his sycophants, on both sides of the aisle. However, the fall-out from Obama’s all-out war against the American people, is the slippage of his popularity ratings, as well as his mask, as a cool calm collected, suave debonair, educated sophisticate, to reveal a petulant, didactic, vengeful, shallow-minded, Marxist milk sop, former Community Organizer, and living, breathing example of the Peter Principle personified.

As Obama and his family wrap up their paid vacation in Africa (Our money. Their Frequent Flyer Miles.), his reception in the land of his bir…err…ancestors, can be described as tepid, at best. African Leaders are neither desiring, nor accepting his advice.

My, how the “new messiah” has fallen.

I was immediately struck by how similar the rapidly devolving presidency of Barack Hussein Obama was to the classic movie “A Face in the Crowd”:

afaceinthecrowdAndy Griffith makes a spectacular film debut in this searing drama as Lonesome Rhodes, a philosophical country-western singer discovered in a tanktown jail by radio talent scout Patricia Neal and her assistant Walter Matthau. They decide that Rhodes is worthy of a radio spot, but the unforeseen result is that the gangly, aw-shucks entertainer becomes an overnight sensation not simply on radio but, thereafter, on television. As he ascends to stardom, Rhodes attracts fans, sponsors and endorsements by the carload, and soon he is the most powerful and influential entertainer on the airwaves. Beloved by his audience, Rhodes reveals himself to his intimates as a scheming, power-hungry manipulator, with Machiavellian political aspirations. He uses everyone around him, coldly discarding anyone who might impede his climb to the top (one such victim is sexy baton-twirler Lee Remick, likewise making her film debut). Just when it seems that there’s no stopping Rhodes’ megalomania, his mentor and ex-lover Neal exposes this Idol of Millions as the rat that he is. She arranges to switch on the audio during the closing credits of Rhodes’ TV program, allowing the whole nation to hear the grinning, waving Rhodes characterize them as “suckers” and “stupid idiots.” Instantly, Rhodes’ popularity rating plummets to zero. As he drunkenly wanders around his penthouse apartment, still not fully comprehending what has happened to him, Rhodes is deserted by the very associates who, hours earlier, were willing to ask “how high?” when he yelled “jump”. Written by Budd Schulberg, Face in the Crowd was not a success, possibly because it hit so close to home with idol-worshipping TV fans. Its reputation has grown in the intervening years, not only because of its value as a film but because of the novelty of seeing the traditionally easygoing Andy Griffith as so vicious and manipulative a character as Lonesome Rhodes.

Just like Lonesome Rhodes, Obama was a charismatic figure who came out of nowhere to a place of national prominence.  Also like Rhodes, he represented something unique.

While Rhodes represented the common man, down on his luck, who pulled himself up by his bootstraps to achieve success, Obama, in turn, represented what was good and right (or so it seemed at the time to those who voted for him) about our country:  the fact that anyone, regardless of race and in spite of humble beginnings, could grow up to become the President of the United States of America.

And, just as Rhodes was exposed for the vacuous, megalomaniac that he was, so has Obama been revealed for who he is, through burdensome legislation designed to make the American Proletariat dependent upon Obama’s Politburo, through ill-timed photo op-laden vacations, through his attacks on Christianity,Traditional American Values, and Traditional American Families, and through his repetitive use of oratory laden with images of class warfare and apologies  to our enemies for the actions of our sovereign nation.

While he is finishing his tour of Africa, the “Democracy” which he and his friends in the Muslim Brotherhood put in place in Egypt, has been the subject of massive protests, with one -third of that country’s citizens marching in protest, yesterday. 

Egyptian President Morsi responded by threatening to cut off the hands of those protesting.

Some “religion of peace”, huh?

Finally, it was reported yesterday, that the military has given President Morsi 48 hours to get the heck out of Dodge.

Evidently, the Egyptian People don’t care for Radical Islam, either.

But, I digress…

Obama’s agenda laid bare before the American Public, he now finds himself in the same identical situation as Lonesome Rhodes was in at the end of  “A Face in the Crowd”.

And, no matter how Obama’s handlers will try to spin the president’s petulant ineptness, unfortunately for Obama, it will be too late.

The American People have had enough of him. He is nothing more than a fallen false messiah.

And, it is about time.

Reince Preibus: “We Need Comprehensive Immigration Reform.” Palin, for Conservative Base: “See ya later, Gator?”

palin-newsweekI have written a lot lately about the Senate’s Gang of 8, and the egregious Amnesty Bill, which the Senate passed last Thursday. As I have written, this bill, if it becomes law, will change America’s Political Landscape forever….and the GOP Establishment seem quite pleased about it, as is their nature as “Vichy Republicans”.

Last Friday, Former Alaska Governor and, now, Fox News Contributor, Sarah Palin wrote the following on her Facebook Page

Great job, GOP establishment. You’ve just abandoned the Reagan Democrats with this amnesty bill, and we needed them to “enlarge that tent” of which you so often speak. It’s depressing to consider that the House of Representatives is threatening to pass some version of this nonsensical bill in the coming weeks.

Once again, I’ll point out the obvious to you: it was the loss of working class voters in swing states that cost us the 2012 election, not the Hispanic vote. Legal immigrants respect the rule of law and can see how self-centered a politician must be to fill this amnesty bill with favors, earmarks, and crony capitalists’ pork, and call it good. You disrespect Hispanics with your assumption that they desire ignoring the rule of law.

Folks like me are barely hanging on to our enlistment papers in any political party – and it’s precisely because flip-flopping political actions like amnesty force us to ask how much more bull from both the elephants in the Republican Party and the jackasses in the Democrat Party we have to swallow before these political machines totally abandon the average commonsense hardworking American. Now we turn to watch the House. If they bless this new “bi-partisan” hyper-partisan devastating plan for amnesty, we’ll know that both private political parties have finally turned their backs on us. It will then be time to show our parties’ hierarchies what we think of being members of either one of these out-of-touch, arrogant, and dysfunctional political machines.

Also, last Friday, Reince Priebus, Chairman of the Republican National Committee, was interviewed by CNN on the subject of the Amnesty Bill, now, in the House’s hands.

Here is what he said,

We need comprehensive immigration reform. I don’t think we can continue to drift along with this mess of immigration laws that we have. And a mess that in many regards has been the results of our government not even enforcing the laws that are in place. There is plenty of blame to go around for why we are in this position, but I think it’s about time that we address it.

…it’s clear that there is pretty broad consensus in the party, in the Republican Party, that we need comprehensive immigration reform.

…My understanding is that the House is going to draft its own version of an immigration bill that they see as either a better fix for comprehensive immigration reform, or something that is reflective of the Republican majority of the House, and then potentially go to conference, and potentially have a conclusion.

…I know the leadership in the House is committed to putting something pretty comprehensive together that’s going to address the issue.

…One thing I think is pretty clear. We wouldn’t have been in this place without Republicans being at the table pushing for immigration reform. And I think this conversation would never be happening without Marco Rubio.

Although I officially began this Blog in April of 2010, I have been an observer of American Politics since I was in college, where I was the Radio News Director for the on-campus station, in the late 1970s, with a staff of 20 students, who received college credit for doing 5 minute newscasts.

Ever since President Ronald Reagan’s last day in office, the Republican Establishment has been intentionally distancing themselves from the very voter base who propelled Reagan to two terms as President.  The Silent Majority, is how Richard Nixon referred to us. We’ve also been called “The Sleeping Giant”.

We are American Conservatives, living in the Heartland of our country.

Allow me to give a general description of us for those of you up in the Northeastern Corridor and out on the Left Coast:

We are overwhelmingly Christian, unabashedly Patriotic, hard-working, loving, charitable, family oriented men and women, who still believe in the American Dream.

We want our children and grandchildren to “have it better than we had it”, a phrase which was the hope of our parents generation, as well.

We are farmers, plumbers, machinists, car salesmen, teachers, doctors, nurses,  lawyers, struggling entrepreneurs and successful businessmen. We are ministers, preachers, rabbis, and priests. We are young, old, White, Black, Asian, and Hispanic.

We love God, family, and country. We will give you the shirt off our backs. When disasters happen, we’re the first ones there, and the last ones to leave.

Since the presidency of Ronaldus Magnus, America’s Heartland Conservatives, like myself, have faithfully supported the Republican Party, receiving nothing in return, except the upturn of their self-proclaimed sophisticated, snotty noses, as time and time again, they force-fed milk toast Moderate Presidential Candidates down our throats, instead of take-charge, can-do Conservatives.

The Republican Establishment, who has evidently enjoyed the smell of what they have been shoveling on us all the years, are so convinced of their own superior intellects, they remind me of the late, great Ted Knight’s portrayal of Judge Smails, in the classic movie “Caddyshack”, starring the equally late, great Rodney Dangerfield, the great Bill Murray, and the now-washed-up, forgettable Chevy Chase.

Well, I have some news for these charter members of the DC Country Club, and their newest member, Marco “Judas” Rubio:

You are fooling no one. We know that is not rain that we are feeling on our legs.

Speaker Boehner, you and all the other Members of the GOP Elite Country Club had better consider this: 90% of those to whom you wish to grant Amnesty, will vote Democrat, no matter how many empty promises you make, and how much free stuff you give them. Also, even if they would, what good will 30,000 new voters do you, if you lose your entire Conservative Voter Base?

Republican Members of the House of Representatives, if you are tone-deaf enough and downright stupid enough to pass this Amnesty Bill, then, come 2014, I hope y’all have a trade to fall back on, because payback will be…well…you know.

From Rebels to Tyrants: How Americans Became So Dependent Upon Our Government

monopoly2As I  was trying to come up with something to write about on today’s blog, I recalled reading the other day that 76% percent of Americans were living from paycheck to paycheck.

I thought to myself, how can that be possible? We live in the richest country on God’s green Earth. We have been the leader of the free world and the country most admired by the world’s population for quite some time now.

How did all this come about?

I believe it is a mixture of events, both internally and externally, that has caused the economic plight that we now find ourselves in.

Starting all the way back with Franklin Delano Roosevelt, and all of the government programs which he began with the express purpose of bringing us out of the Great Depression, Americans have grown more and more dependent on a nanny state government.

This blind trust was cemented by JFK’s hopeful optimism and national push for Americans to commit to serving their country.

By the time President Johnson came into office, after the assassination of President John Fitzgerald Kennedy, the majority of Americans totally believed that our government always had our best interest at heart.

President Johnson came into office and immediately started his push for the Great Society. These programs were designed to make Americans even more dependent on the Federal Government for their very survival.

As the Vietnam War grew more and more and unpopular, Americans’ trust in the government became more and more compromised.  Protests against the Federal Government became more and more common and it became cool to be a rebel or “hippie”.

Time passed, and while rebellious Americans calmed down, Americans’ dependence upon government programs became generational, as multiple family members from one generation to the next, relied on Uncle Sugar for their daily existence.

Meanwhile, the rebels of the 1960’s got older and began to work within the system, taking jobs within the private and public sectors.

Eventually, they moved into positions of power, becoming heads of corporations and local and national politicians.

It is not really necessary to tell you what the political ideology of these rebels was, is it?

As the last century ended and the new one began, these hippies and their offspring, solidly in place in the halls of power, began to pass more more legislation designed to keep generations of Americans enslaved to Uncle Sugar.

Ironic, huh?

And, then it happened.

From the state of Illinois, came the messiah that both the hippies in power and the dependent class they made careers out of enslaving had been waiting for, Barack Hussein Obama.

With both a liberal controlled Congress and a Far Left president, a pathway was cleared for an all-out assault against capitalism.

Immediately upon his ascension to power,  Obama set out, with the help of his minions, to pass an massive Stimulus Bill , which was designed to reward their supporters, while buying and paying for some new ones.

Meanwhile, corporations continued their trend of leaving the country, begun with the rise of the Liberal Congress, due to high taxes and the anti-capitalist policies of the ruling class.

Even after a strong showing by Conservatives in 2010, the ruling class made sure that their new messiah would remain on the throne for a second term, by manipulating the shallow minded Republican Establishment into nominating an ambivalent legacy as their Presidential Candidate.

Preying on the government dependency of 47 percent of Americans, the Liberal Democrats secured a second term For Barack Hussein Obama.

And, that brings us to our current situation.

We are a nation badly in need of another Gipper to help us reach the goal line.

On January 20, 1981, newly-elected President Ronald Wilson Reagan said these words to a weary nation…

These United States are confronted with an economic affliction of great proportions.

We suffer from the longest and one of the worst sustained inflations in our national history. It distorts our economic decisions, penalizes thrift, and crushes the struggling young and the fixed-income elderly alike. It threatens to shatter the lives of millions of our people.

Idle industries have cast workers into unemployment, human misery, and personal indignity. Those who do work are denied a fair return for their labor by a tax system which penalizes successful achievement and keeps us from maintaining full productivity.

But great as our tax burden is, it has not kept pace with public spending. For decades we have piled deficit upon deficit, mortgaging our future and our children’s future for the temporary convenience of the present. To continue this long trend is to guarantee tremendous social, cultural, political, and economic upheavals.

You and I, as individuals, can, by borrowing, live beyond our means, but for only a limited period of time. Why, then, should we think that collectively, as a nation, we’re not bound by that same limitation? We must act today in order to preserve tomorrow. And let there be no misunderstanding: We are going to begin to act, beginning today.

The economic ills we suffer have come upon us over several decades. They will not go away in days, weeks, or months, but they will go away. They will go away because we as Americans have the capacity now, as we’ve had in the past, to do whatever needs to be done to preserve this last and greatest bastion of freedom.

In this present crisis, government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem. From time to time we’ve been tempted to believe that society has become too complex to be managed by self-rule, that government by an elite group is superior to government for, by, and of the people. Well, if no one among us is capable of governing himself, then who among us has the capacity to govern someone else? All of us together, in and out of government, must bear the burden. The solutions we seek must be equitable, with no one group singled out to pay a higher price.

We hear much of special interest groups. Well, our concern must be for a special interest group that has been too long neglected. It knows no sectional boundaries or ethnic and racial divisions, and it crosses political party lines. It is made up of men and women who raise our food, patrol our streets, man our mines and factories, teach our children, keep our homes, and heal us when we’re sick — professionals, industrialists, shopkeepers, clerks, cabbies, and truckdrivers. They are, in short, “We the people,” this breed called Americans.

Well, this administration’s objective will be a healthy, vigorous, growing economy that provides equal opportunities for all Americans with no barriers born of bigotry or discrimination. Putting America back to work means putting all Americans back to work. Ending inflation means freeing all Americans from the terror of runaway living costs. All must share in the productive work of this “new beginning,” and all must share in the bounty of a revived economy. With the idealism and fair play which are the core of our system and our strength, we can have a strong and prosperous America, at peace with itself and the world.

So, as we begin, let us take inventory. We are a nation that has a government — not the other way around. And this makes us special among the nations of the Earth. Our government has no power except that granted it by the people. It is time to check and reverse the growth of government, which shows signs of having grown beyond the consent of the governed.

It is my intention to curb the size and influence of the Federal establishment and to demand recognition of the distinction between the powers granted to the Federal Government and those reserved to the States or to the people. All of us need to be reminded that the Federal Government did not create the States; the States created the Federal Government.

Now, so there will be no misunderstanding, it’s not my intention to do away with government. It is rather to make it work — work with us, not over us; to stand by our side, not ride on our back. Government can and must provide opportunity, not smother it; foster productivity, not stifle it.

President Reagan understood that

Entrepreneurs and their small enterprises are responsible for almost all the economic growth in the United States.

And, for Americans to prosper, capitalism must not be stifled by over-taxation and an unfriendly Federal Government.

When the private section prospers, the power of the Government to control our daily lives diminishes.

So…why are 76 percent of American living paycheck to paycheck?

Because our national politicians have to protect their phony-boloney jobs…and, it is easier to control us this way.

An American Snapshot: The End of Shame

facepalm1Sitting here at my computer, I have been attempting to put all of the events which have been happening in America in the past week into some logical semblance of order, and attach a nice pink bow on them ( After the Supreme Court Ruling last Wednesday, can I say that?) in an attempt to make some sense out of them.

All the factors I have considered, lead me to one conclusion: Our Society has lost its sense of shame.

Please allow me to let you in on my thought process and perhaps you will agree with me.

Let us start with our nation’s Chief Executive Officer, Barack Hussein Obama. Scooter, Mooch, and the girls are currently in the middle of a whirlwind tour of Africa and the subcontinent. (I don’t know what that means, but, Cab Calloway said it while announcing the Blues Brothers in the first movie, and I thought it was kind of cool.) During the trip, paid for by us American Taxpayers, Obama is being greeted by the local populace (I was going to say native populace, but, I did not want to be accused of being another Paul Deen.) wearing “Welcome Home, Obama” t-shirts! (I couldn’t have said it better, myself.)

While over there, our Petulant President, during a press conference with the President of Senegal, said that African Nations needed to lighten up and embrace homosexuality. Needless to say, Obama’s proclamation was received about as well as Rosanne Barr at a Southern Gospel Festival. His Main Stream Media Minions are referring to the event as a “slip” and a “teachable moment”.

I call it shameless.

While we are one the subject of the “alternative lifestyle”, average Americans are still shaking our heads over the decision of the Supreme Court to take away the sovereignty of California Voters to decide whether of not to allow Homosexuals to “marry” in their state. The Supremes (Without Diana Ross) decided to “Stop in the Name of Love”, and uphold the decision of a Homosexual Appeals Court Judge. (No bias there, huh?)

Liberals called the ruling the greatest thing since sliced bread and the opening of a doorway, leading to the “normalization” of homosexuality in America. I call it the possible beginning of the Fall of the Greatest Country on the Face of the Earth. Shameless.

Meanwhile, over in the Senate, the Gang of Eight’s “Immigration Reform” Bill (Say it with me, boys and girls, AMNESTY) passed through the Senate in a landslide, with 14 Vichy Republicans, siding with their fellow DC Country Club Members. All those goobers called it “Bi-partisanship”.

I called it shameless.

Also, this week, the murder trial of George Zimmerman began. After the opening statements, the Prosecution called their “star” witness, a Miss Rachel Jeantel. She turned out to be a young woman,whose life consists of smoking pot, getting drunk, massacring the Queen’s English, and sending out vulgar tweets, blaming us white crackers for everything from her sorry state of existence to painful rectal itch.

While on the stand, Jeantel was caught in lies several times, insisting that “cracker” was not a racial term. (Right. And, 50 cent is a musical genius.) It was also learned, while she was giving her testimony, that Jeantel, a High School Senior, did not write a letter that she was supposed to have. In fact, the High School Senior cannot read or write Cursive….and can barely read or write anything at all. When she finished her testimony, she took her seat beside Trayvon Martin’s mother, who hired a lawyer after his death, to explore the “merchandising” of her dead son. (Hoodies! Get your Hoodies, here!)

It is very evident that Zimmerman is being railroaded. A witness on Friday collaborated Zimmerman’s account of the event, stating that Zimmerman was pinned to the sidewalk by Trayvon, who was “hitting him in the face with martial-art type blows”. (That doesn’t sound like the innocent 12 year old , whose picture has been circulated by his family. That sound more like the 17 year old thug, who had been suspended from school 30 times for smoking dope and breaking in lockers with the tolls he kept in his school bag.)

The reason for the screw job that Zimmerman is going through, is the initial protests lead by the Justice Brothers, Revs. Jackson and Sharpton, who never saw a camera that they didn’t like. The Prosecutor overreacted, and over-charged Zimmerman. Now, the Prosecution is trapped into going through with the Dog and Pony Show, because a certain element of Miami’s Black Population has threatened to riot, if Zimmerman is acquitted.

The Liberals are attempting to justify this farce by claiming that it is recuppence for past injustices.

I call it shameless.

Finally, there’s the crucifixion of Paula Deen, as “Interview With a Vampire” Novelist Anne Rice referred to the whole Bloody mess.

Paula Deen, successful chef, entrepreneur, and Food Network Star, is being sued, along with her brother, by a former employee of her restaurant in Savannah, GA. Under oath, she admitted that she had used the “N” word, before….a long time ago. She also admitted that she once thought that the idea of having an Old South, Antebellum Wedding, with Black waiters dressed in black tuxedos with white shirts, like the house “slaves” wore during that era, would look pretty cool.

I’m shocked. Shocked, I tell you. (If I were to remark that those guys would look awfully spiffy in Black Tie and Tails, would that make me a RAAACIIIST?)

Hollywood must feel the same way, because I recently saw Garrett Morris, of Saturday Night Live fame [“Our top story tonight…”], playing a butler in a episode of Psych, dressed in the exact same manner as Ms. Deen described.

Anyway, now every corporation she is currently involved with, from Chinese-held Smithfield Hams to Harrah’s Casinos, have dropped her as if she was George Wallace (before his change of heart) re-incarnated.

Either she is actually the Wicked Witch of the West, away from the public eye, or all these corporations have grievously overreacted, so as to not have their profit margins affected by their association with her.

(Since Ms. Deen is a Democrat, who voted for Barack Hussein Obama twice (mm mmm mmmm), I would probably go with the second option.)

I am sure they call it “good business”.

I call it shameless.

Evidently, the majority of Americans agree with me, because Ms. Deen’s cookbooks occupy the top spot on amazon.com.

What has happened to America? 

Why are all of these jaw-dropping events, which would have been unthinkable a few decades ago, suddenly coalescing into a hurricane of senses – overwhelming shamelessness?

Mark Twain once said,

Man is the only animal that blushes – or needs to.

Perhaps, in this society of vanishing morals and situational ethics, perhaps we have lost our ability to feel shame and therefore, to blush.

We need to figure out a way to regain that ability, or, our nation will become a footnote in history.
