obamaplannedparenthoodYesterday, the President of the United States did something that every other president has had the moral turpitude, or, at least the common sense to avoid like a musical performance by Roseanne Barr.

He gave a speech yesterday morning at a national meeting of Planned Parenthood.

How much do you know about Planned Parenthood? Well, if you went by what you see and hear in the Liberal Media, you would think that they are a simply lovely organization which provides health screenings and reproductive counseling to America’s female population. But there’s a lot more to them than that.

Planned Parenthood dates its beginnings to 1916 when Sanger, her sister, and a friend open America’s first birth control clinic in Brooklyn, New York. In Sanger’s America, women cannot vote, sign contracts, have bank accounts, or divorce abusive husbands. They cannot control the number of children they have or obtain information about birth control, because in the 1870s a series of draconian measures, called the Comstock laws, made contraception illegal and declared information about family planning and contraception “obscene.”

Sanger knows the tragic toll of such ignorance. Her mother had 18 pregnancies, bore 11 children, and died in 1899 at the age of 40. Working as a nurse with immigrant families on New York’s Lower East Side, Sanger witnesses the sickness, misery, and death that result from unwanted pregnancy and illegal abortion. The clinic she opens provides contraceptive advice to poor, immigrant women, some of whom line up hours before the doors open. Police raid the clinic and all three women are convicted of disseminating birth control information.

Undaunted, Sanger founds The Birth Control Review, the first scientific journal devoted to contraception. She also appeals her conviction, which leads to a new, liberalized interpretation of New York’s anti-contraception statute. In 1923 Sanger opens the Birth Control Clinical Research Bureau in Manhattan to provide contraceptive devices to women and collect accurate statistics to prove their safety and long-term effectiveness.

That same year, Sanger incorporates the American Birth Control League, an ambitious new organization that embraces the global issues of world population growth, disarmament, and world famine. The two organizations subsequently merge, and later become Planned Parenthood® Federation of America, Inc. (PPFA®).

But, hold on there, y’all. There is a lot more to Ms. Sanger than that…

Many questions have been raised concerning her real views on eugenics, race, and human rights, and it is hard to separate the facts from fiction. The information presented here is drawn directly from her writings, with references.

Sanger’s obsession with eugenics and racism was clearly presented in her involvement of planning the First World Population Conference which took place in Geneva in 1926. She was not mentioned on the actual program, but instead worked behind the scenes and initiated the “Negro Project” in 1939.

The objective of the “project” was to infiltrate the black community by presenting birth control as a health option for women to kill off the black race.Kill them off by limiting the growth of the population by abortion and sterilization.

They knew that some blacks would figure out their sinister plot so it was decided by Sanger to take the plan to the clergy and charismatic members the black community to have them deliver the death message to their congregations.

In a letter to Dr. Clarence Gamble Sanger stated, “We should hire three or four colored ministers, preferably with social-service backgrounds, and with engaging personalities. The most successful educational approach to the Negro is through a religious appeal. We don’t want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population. And the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members.”

Notice that Sanger said the ministers should be “hired.” There are many black ministers today who support abortion–most of them still receive money from Planned Parenthood. Many have sold their souls for “30 pieces of silver.”

Currently, Planned Parenthood performs approximately 300,000 per year, or just over 27% of all abortions performed in the United States.

I thought that I had ceased being flabbergasted by our current president. However, yesterday was a jaw-dropping moment for me.

In a speech to this “august organization”, the Manchurian President said, 

That’s why, no matter how great the challenge, no matter how fierce the opposition, if there’s one thing the past few years have shown, it’s that Planned Parenthood is not going anywhere. It’s not going anywhere today. It’s not going anywhere tomorrow.

As long as we’ve got to fight to make sure women have access to quality, affordable health care, and as long as we’ve got to fight to protect a woman’s right to make her own choices about her own health, I want you to know that you’ve also got a President who’s going to be right there with you fighting every step of the way.

I don’t know what god, Obama was referring to, but, it certainly wasn’t the God of Abraham.

God’s Word gives us several warnings about the sanctity of life and the beloved status of children in His Kingdom.

I think, instead, that the president must have been referring to Molech.

As is common with a lot of the oral history, that is the Old Testament, the exact origin of Molech is never given. Scholars think that the name came from the Phoenician mlk, which meant a type of sacrifice made to confirm or to  end a vow. Melekh is also, the Hebrew word for king. It was common for the Israelites to combine the name of pagan gods with the vowels in the Hebrew word for shame: “bosheth.” The combination of mlk, melekh, and bosheth result in Molech, which means “the personified ruler of shameful sacrifice.” Ashtoreth was was the name of his…err…companion and ritual prostitution was considered an important form of worship, as though “reminding” the two how to procreate would ensure a plentiful harvest.

In addition to sexual rituals, Molech worship included child sacrifice, or “passing children through the fire.” Giant metal statues were made of a man with a bull’s head, either with a hole in his abdomen or outstretched forearms that made a kind of ramp to a hole in his torso. A fire was lit in or around the statue…then, babies were placed in the statue’s arms or in the hole. If a couple sacrificed their first born, worshipers believed that Molech would ensure financial prosperity for the family and future children.

The Israelites first came upon Molech worship when Abraham followed God’s call to move to Canaan. Although human sacrifice was not common in Abraham’s native Ur, it was the norm in this new land. God referenced this exposure when He asked Abraham to offer Isaac (Genesis 22:2). But, unlike the native Canaanite gods, Abraham’s God abhorred human sacrifice. Just as He provided a ram to take Isaac’s place (Genesis 22:13), He provided His own Son to take ours.

There is no getting around what the president did. He asked God’s blessing for the killing of babies in their mothers’ womb. Twenty years under a former Muslim-turned-Black Liberation-Theology Preacher, evidently led to Obama’s belief that God would condone abortion.

He doesn’t.

And, I’m not aware of any practicing Christian American who believes that He does.

The War Against Christianity: Our Armed Forces, The SBC, and Me

WashingtonPrayingApproximately 78% of Americans proclaim Jesus Christ as their Personal Savior.  This percentage has remained consistent for several years now, no matter what “the smartest people in the room” may tell you.

Christianity has been the moral and ethical compass of this nation, since before its birth. And, no matter how the Progressives, on both sides of the aisle, try to re-write American History, there is no way for them to avoid this unalterable fact.

For the last couple of decades, the Liberal battle cry of  DIVERSITY! has been shouted from the mountaintops, from sea to shining sea, and force-fed to the American citizenry via every form of media imaginable.

What I have found to be hilarious is the fact, that while “the smartest people in the room” were promoting DIVERSITY!, average Americans had already been practicing it in their homes, neighborhoods, schools, churches, and workplaces.

America was already a melting pot.

But, that was not the Liberals’ goal.

Their goal was, and is, Assimilation. Not Diversification.

And, dissent will not be allowed.

The U.S. Military has blocked access to the Southern Baptist Convention’s website on an unknown number of military bases because it contains “hostile content” — just weeks after an Army briefing labeled Evangelical Christians and Roman Catholics as examples of religious extremism, Fox News has learned.

The Southern Baptist Convention is the nation’s largest Protestant denomination known for its support of the pro-life movement and its strong belief in traditional marriage.

Southern Baptist chaplains reported that SBC.net had been blocked at military installations around the nation. The censorship was made public after an Army officer tried to log onto the denomination’s website and instead — received a warning message.

“The site you have requested has been blocked by Team CONUS (C-TNOSC/RCERT-CONUS) due to hostile content,” the message read.

Team CONUS protects the computer network of the Dept. of Defense. The SBC’s website was not blocked at the Pentagon.

“So the Southern Baptist Convention is now considered hostile to the U.S. Army,” the officer wrote in an email to the American Family Association.

The Dept. of Defense confirmed to Fox News late Wednesday that the SBC website had been blocked–but not intentionally.

“The Department of Defense is not intentionally blocking access to this site, said Lt. Col. Damien Pickart. “We are working diligently to investigate what might be causing access issues for some of our service members and to correct the situation as quickly as possible.

The AFA sent out an action alert urging its members to contact the Pentagon and ask them to “stop the military’s alarming trend of hostility towards faith and religious freedom in our military.”

“Most disturbing to him (the Army officer) was the fact that the military labeled his personal religious faith as ‘hostile’ to the U.S. Army,” AFA spokesman Randy Sharp told Fox News.

Ron Crews, executive director of the Chaplain Alliance, told Fox News that Southern Baptist chaplains on military bases around the world have been unable to access the website.

“It’s a concern for the Dept. of Defense to block the website of one of the major evangelical denominations in the country,” Crews told Fox News. “The Southern Baptist Convention has the largest number of chaplains in the military representing Southern Baptist soldiers and churches. Those chaplains need access to their denomination’s website.”

An Army Reservist contacted Fox News and said he tried to log onto the site and an “Access Denied” message appeared on the screen.

“You request was categorized by Blue Coat Web Filter as ‘Religion,’” the message read.

Richard Land, president of the SBC’s Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission denounced the censorship and demanded that Southern Baptist soldiers be provided access to the site.

“This is outrageous,” Land told Fox News. “Southern Baptists make up a higher percentage of the all-volunteer military than in the general population. It’s outrageous that our website would be blocked for Southern Baptists serving in the military and defending the freedom to access websites.”

Land said the military censorship was part of a “disturbing trend.”

Indeed.

A 2009 Dept. of Homeland Security memorandum that identified future threats to national security coming from Evangelicals and pro-life groups;

A West Point study released by the U.S. Military Academy’s Combating Terrorism Center that linked pro-lifers to terrorism;

Evangelical leader Franklin Graham was uninvited from the Pentagon’s National Day of Prayer service because of his comments about Islam;

Christian prayers were banned at the funeral services for veterans at Houston’s National Cemetery;

Bibles were banned at Walter Reed Army Medical Center – a decision that was later rescinded;

Christian crosses and a steeple were removed from a chapel in Afghanistan because the military said the icons disrespected other religions;

Catholic chaplains were told not to read a letter to parishioners from their archbishop related to Obamacare mandates. The Secretary of the Army feared the letter could be viewed as a call for civil disobedience.

About a month ago, an old friend of mine from high school, sent me a personal message on Facebook, that this blog was blocked at her job. She and her husband live in Virginia and work in Washington, DC for the Federal Government.

Additionally, on Tuesday, when I went to post that day’s Blog on Facebook, I was informed that, as a “security check”, I would have to complete a “Captcha”, in order to post my blog. In fact, every time I went to post my blog on a different Facebook Page, I had to fill out another “Captcha”. But hold on, Bat-fans, that’s not all. When my friends went to share my Blog, they were asked if my Blog was “Spam”.

It is widely known that the founder of Facebook is a friend of this Administration. I am not the only Conservative, whom they have done this to. And, it continues…

Between this Administration using our Brightest and Best as guinea pigs for their social experiments and now infringing on their Constitutional Right of Freedom of Religion, and blocking Conservative Christian Blogs in Government Buildings, one might come to the conclusion that they are intimidated by Christianity and Conservatism, both protected by our Constitution.

Add onto that, the management of Facebook making it difficult for Conservatives to post, and one might draw the conclusion that Liberals are downright intolerant of opposing viewpoints.

Isn’t it funny how those among us, who claim to be the most tolerant, are actually the least tolerant of all?

The New Boston Massacre: A Matter of Faith

americanchristianflag 2I am a Christian American Conservative. I make no apologies for it. I believe in the triune God and I believe that America is the greatest country on the face of the Earth.

I wrote yesterday about the reticence of both the Obama Administration and the Main Stream Media to identify the murderous brothers who were responsible for the New Boston Massacre as Muslim Terrorists.

If the Terrorists had been like me, A Southern Baptist from Mississippi, ol’ Scooter and his minions would have shouted it from the rooftops for the whole world to hear.

In fact, during the early aftermath of the massacre, they were publicly wishing for that to be the case.

The Liberal Hierarchy desperately wanted the perpetrator of that heinous attack to be an American Christian. Then, they could have “killed two birds with one stone.

In today’s “Me First” Culture, Patriotism and Christianity are considered passe, by the new “diverse” society, which the Liberals, and their unwitting lackeys, are so desperately trying to build.

You see, ladies and gentlemen, without a love of country, a nation is lost. Without love of God, one’s soul is.

Now, don’t get me wrong. I’m no Pollyanna. I am quite aware of the things with have been done in the name of Christianity. However, I’m also acutely aware of the barbarism that has been done, and is still being done, in the name of Allah.

Andrew McCarthy, in an article for nationalreview.com, wrote this week, that

We are in a war driven by ideology. “Violent extremism,” which is the label the government and the commentariat prefer to put on our enemies, is not an ideology — it is the brutality that radical ideologies yield. Our enemies’ ideology is Islamic supremacism. To challenge and defeat an ideological movement, you have to understand and confront their vision of the world. Imposing your own assumptions and biases will not do. Islamic supremacists do not see a world of Westphalian nation-states. They do not distinguish between Russia and America the way they distinguish between Muslims and non-Muslims. Their ideology frames matters as Dar al-Islam versus Dar al-Harb: the realm of Islam in a fight to the death against the realm of war — which is everyone and everyplace else.

The fact that you think this is nuts, or that I’m nuts for saying it out loud, has nothing to do with whether they believe it. They do — and they don’t care, even a little, what you think.

You do not defeat an ideology by hoping it will change or disappear. You have to challenge it, to make it defend its baleful tenets in the light of day. You cannot protect yourself from its violent outbursts absent understanding its teaching, reluctantly accepting that its teaching will inevitably lead some Muslims to strike out savagely, and committing to a pro-active, intelligence-based counterterrorism strategy — one that scraps political correctness and ferrets out the jihadists before they strike.

I have heard and read from some of this “Me, First Generation” that there is not any difference between Christianity and Islam. Quite Frankly, that’s like saying that there’s no difference between an in-ground swimming pool and a garden hose.

In Islam, the way to “walk with God and escape his judgement on that final day of judgment is through ‘falah’, which means self-effort or positive achievement. The faithful must submit to God and follow all of his laws as found in the Koran. Judgment day in Islam involves some sort of measurement of what the believer has done wrong and what they’ve done right. And even then you might not be let into heaven if Allah decides you’re not good enough.

This is the direct opposite of Christianity.

According to the Bible, no man can ever be good enough to deserve God’s favor, to win God’s heaven, because from birth we have Free Will. This Free Will may cause us to reject God and live our lives our own way. That’s why it was necessary for Jesus Christ to die for our sins, covering us in His blood of the New Covenant.

God’s Word tells us that what we need is not ‘falah,’ but faith. To have faith in, to trust, to rely on Jesus and his death as as “the expiation for our sins”. Those who have been Saved by Jesus Christ can be sure that in the future God will welcome them into heaven with wide open arms, because they have been washed by His blood.

Islam and Christianity present two very different Deities, who may share some similarities, but who have different identities and ultimately different standards. To pretend they are the same is not only to be clueless of the faith of 78% of the citizens of this nation, but, to be ignorant of an integral part of our American Heritage, the legacy of Christian Faith, which our Founding Fathers bequeathed us.

Now, I am not saying that every Muslim is on a jihad against “the infidels”.

However…

When Christians become “radicalized”, we want to share the testimony of what God has done for us through His love, with everyone we meet. We get involved in our local church and we become better fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers, and American citizens.

When Muslims become “radicalized”, they want to “kill the Infidels” in the name of “Allah the Merciful”.

In the case of the Chechen Muslim brothers, their immersion into Radical Islam led them to “kill the infidels” that horrendous day.

For Liberals to deny that, is disingenuous at best, and just plain out-and-out lying at worst.

The UK: A Harbinger of America’s Future?

americanenglishflagsAs I sit here writing this post, up on the wall to my right, sits my family crest, bought at the York, England Insignia Shoppe, in July of 1978.

My ancestors, Lords of York and Oxford, (England, not Mississippi) would not recognize their country anymore. If fact, they would probably think that they had traveled back in time to when barbarians ruled the land.

…And, they would be exactly right.

A campaign by opponents of late Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher to get the song “Ding Dong! The Witch Is Dead” to the top of the British pop charts to celebrate her death failed on Sunday although it did manage to reach second place.

Thatcher, who died aged 87 on Monday, deeply divided Britons and while some have paid warm tributes to the achievements of her right-wing Conservative governments, others said her privatization of swathes of industry had destroyed communities.

That opposition was manifested in a Facebook campaign to propel the witch song, from the 1939 film “The Wizard of Oz”, to number one in the charts, provoking anger from politicians of all parties, right-leaning media, and members of the public.

The Official Charts Company said 52,605 copies of the song had been sold, but that was about 6,000 shy of the chart-topping track “Need U” by British DJ Duke Dumont and singer A*M*E.

The top 40 best-selling singles are played weekly on BBC Radio but the broadcaster said on Friday it would only pay a five-second clip of the song as part of a news item, leading to accusations it had caved into political pressure.

“I understand the concerns about this campaign. I personally believe it is distasteful and inappropriate,” BBC Director-General Tony Hall said in a statement.

“However, I do believe it would be wrong to ban the song outright as free speech is an important principle.”

Britain’s Got Talent has been hit by a huge backlash from viewers after broadcasting a performance from an 11-year-old schoolgirl singing a song about a one night stand, and a highly sexualised lapdancing performance – all before the 9pm watershed.

The first episode of this year’s ITV talent contest, which was shown at 7pm on Saturday night and watched by more than 13 million people, was branded ‘totally unsuitable’ by outraged parents.

It has also emerged that contestant Keri Graham, whose provocative performance saw her stripping down to her underwear, writhing semi-naked on a chair and gyrating on Simon Cowell, is a professional stripper who has posted a series of raunchy pictures of herself on a ‘stripagram’ agency website.

Appearing on stage shortly after 7.30pm, the 43-year-old, who was joined at the audition by her husband and teenage son Callum, told the show’s judges and audience members that she teaches ‘chair fitness classes’, before launching into the routine and dancing to explicit song Freak Me, by Another Level.

A second act featured 11-year-old Arixsander Libantino performing a rendition of Jennifer Hudson song One Night Only, which features the lyrics: ‘You’ve got one night only, that’s all you have to spare, let’s not pretend to care, come on, big baby, come on, we only have ‘til dawn.’

Miss Libantino’s parents Aristotle and Elma, who are from the Philippines, and were watching off-stage, received a standing ovation from Simon Cowell and his fellow judges, but viewers immediately took to the internet to express their disgust that she was allowed to sing a song which featured such adult lyrics, with one member of the public condemning the show by branding it ‘Britain’s Got Sleaze’.

Helen Marianne from Eastbourne, wrote online: ‘The song this young girl sang was totally unsuitable for her age – She’s 11 for Heaven’s sake. However good her voice is, something much more appropriate should have been chosen for her. It gave me the creeps if I’m honest.’

Another wrote: ‘Marvellous isn’t it? Viewing images of children online is deemed wrong and rightly so, yet TV put up an 11-year-old girl who then sings a very adult-themed song. All very wrong. Her parents should not have condoned this.’

A further comment said: ‘The child was singing an adult song and should NOT have been allowed to sing it as it make her look like a Lolita.’

Viewers were equally appalled by Mrs Graham’s lapdance routine, with richbrownowl writing: ‘This show is pre-watershed, so the appropriateness of a half-naked woman doing a sexually provocative act needs to be called into question. This is a family entertainment show after all. No, I am not a prude.’

Another post read: ‘Nice Saturday night family viewing as your child asks, “Mummy, why has that lady got hardly any clothes on, and what is she doing with those men?” So even a simple talent show has to have some sleaze.’

Jojo Moyes added on Twitter: ‘I hate that lapdancer moves are somehow considered family entertainment.’ Former X Factor winner Steve Brookstein also condemned the show, saying: ‘Family entertainment and BGT have a lap dancer. Stay classy ITV.’

Both acts were put through to the next round of the talent contest, with contestants competing for the £500,000 prize money and a place in the Royal Variety Show, which will be performed in front of the Queen.

Stoning for adultery. Amputations for theft. Death for apostates. And second-class status for Christians and Jews. This is life under Sharia law, the Islamic system practiced in countries like Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Great Britain.

Yes, Great Britain.

There are reportedly some 85 Sharia courts now operating there, with Islamic judges ruling on cases ranging from financial to marital disputes among British Muslims.

“We went into some proceedings and there were a couple of Islamic judges sitting up above the rest,” said Alan Craig, who recently stepped down as leader of the Christian Peoples Alliance party. “And there was one Muslim woman who was suing for divorce.”

Craig is a former city councilor in East London, home to several Sharia courts where women face open discrimination.

“A woman’s witness value is half that of a man,” Craig told CBN News. “So [the courts] will tend, therefore, to take the man’s position in a divorce.”

Craig is working with Baroness Caroline Cox to pass a bill in Britain’s House of Lords protecting women from this Sharia oppression.

Muslim women in Great Britain often face intimidation within their communities to settle things the Sharia way. According to Craig, some wrongly believe Islamic courts are their only option.

“What we’re trying to do is say, Muslim women, especially in this country, need to be informed,” he explained. “They actually have other rights and our view, better rights, under English law.”

Sharia courts operate outside of British common law. Their defenders say the courts are legal under a 1996 Arbitration Act that allows people to settle differences through methods of their own choosing.

The UK is an classic example of decades of Liberalism run amok.

What was a proud sovereign land, has seemingly degenerated into a shell of its former self, ripe pickings, as the Roman Empire was, for the barbaric horde.

Is it possible that what is happening in the UK, is a harbinger of America’s future?

The UK already allows homosexual marriage,has stringent gun control, and allows abortions, up to the 24 week s (6 months).

In fact, surveys show that Christians could be a minority in the UK by 2018.

The clash between the Muslim faithful and the unchurched of the UK should be horribly fascinating to watch.

Unfortunately, just like our blessed land…they have brought this upon themselves.

Gosnell, Peter Singer, and the Main Stream Media

fetus1The last few days, I have been writing about America’s Auschwitz, the Gosnell Case. As a Christian man, and the father of a special young lady, now in her 20s, I just could not wrap my head around the barbarism displayed by Gosnell and those in his profession, and the “good Nazi” mentality of the MSM and their fellow Liberals, who so blithely turn the other way to the unmitigated carnage, caused by these ‘doctors”.

Then, the name Peter Singer came to mind.

Peter Singer is an Australian philosopher and a visiting professor of bioethics at Princeton University. He also has worked as a lecturer at Oxford University, New York University, Monash University, the University of Colorado (Boulder), the University of California (Irvine), the University of Melbourne, and Princeton University’s Center for Human Values. Singer authored the 1975 book Animal Liberation, a landmark text that effectively launched the modern animal rights movement.

In his book, this lunatic claims that people should respect the moral worth of all animals…not on the basis of the animals’ intelligence, but instead, because of their ability to experience pain and suffering. He equates the denial of animals’ basic “rights” as a form of discrimination called “speciesism,” which he erroneously compares to racism and sexism.

According to Singer, it is wrong to value the life of human beings more than the lives of animals. Singer, an atheist, of course, rejects the scripture from Genesis that man has been given dominion over animals and that people are made uniquely in the image of God. He also believes that all animals have souls who are just as worthy of life. as ours’:

All three [of the foregoing axioms] taken together do have a very negative influence on the way in which we think about animals.

Singer goes on to explain that his mission is to challenge “this superiority of human beings”.

Singer, in 1979, wrote and published Practical Ethics, in which he continued his rant that animals are equal to human beings. He also states (hold on to something) that human parents should be legally permitted to kill a “severely disabled” infant up to 28 days after its birth if they deem the baby’s life unworthy of preservation.

According to this nutjob,

There are some circumstances…where the newborn baby is severely disabled and where the parents think that it’s better that that child should not live, when killing the newborn baby is not at all wrong.

Singer wrote an article for scotsman.com, in August of 2008. Here is an excerpt.

Abortion receives extensive coverage in developed countries, especially in the United States, where Republicans have used opposition to it to rally voters. But much less attention is given to the 86 per cent of all abortions that occur in the developing world. Although most countries in Africa and Latin America have laws prohibiting abortion in most circumstances, official bans do not prevent high abortion rates.

In Africa, there are 29 abortions per 1,000 women, and 32 per 1,000 in Latin America. The comparable figure for Western Europe, where abortion is generally permitted in most circumstances, is 12. According to a recent report by the World Health Organisation, unsafe abortions lead to the death of 47,000 women a year, almost all of them in developing countries. Restricting access to legal abortion leads many poor women to seek abortion from unsafe providers. The legalisation of abortion on request in South Africa in 1998 saw abortion-related deaths drop by 91 per cent. And the development of the drugs misoprostol and mifepristone, which can be provided by pharmacists, makes relatively safe and inexpensive abortion possible in developing countries.

Opponents will respond that abortion is, by its very nature, unsafe – for the foetus. They point out that abortion kills a unique, living human individual. That claim is difficult to deny, at least if by “human” we mean “member of the species Homo sapiens.”

It is also true that we cannot simply invoke a woman’s “right to choose” in order to avoid the ethical issue of the moral status of the foetus. If the foetus really did have the moral status of any other human being, it would be difficult to argue that a pregnant woman’s right to choose includes the right to bring about the death of the foetus, except perhaps when the woman’s life is at stake.

The fallacy in the anti-abortion argument lies in the shift from the scientifically accurate claim that the foetus is a living individual of the species Homo sapiens to the ethical claim that the foetus therefore has the same right to life as any other human being. Membership of the species Homo sapiens is not enough to confer a right to life.

We can plausibly argue that we ought not to kill, against their will, self-aware beings who want to continue to live. We can see this as a violation of their autonomy, or a thwarting of their preferences. But why should a being’s potential to become rationally self-aware make it wrong to end its life before it has the capacity for rationality or self-awareness?

We have no obligation to allow every being with the potential to become a rational being to realise that potential. If it comes to a clash between the supposed interests of potentially rational but not yet conscious beings and the vital interests of actually rational women, we should give preference to the women every time.

I know that I will be called a “‘Christianist’ Right Wing Reactionary Idiot”, by any Liberal, who happens to read this. But, frankly, Scarlett…well, you know.

I find it sadly fascinating that the Main Stream Media had to be forced by those of us in the New Media, to cover the Gosnell Case. They wanted, as sworn members of the Obama Propaganda Corps (pronounced “corpse”) to ignore Gosnell and his butchery, because it did not fit the safe, antiseptic version of the abortion procedure, which they have been pushing since before Roe vs. Wade.

What they have been slapped in the face with is a harsh reality. The Gosnell Case is one of American Infanticide. There is nothing that they can do to defend it.

I find it horrifying that there are Americans, who believe as Singer does, that we are no better than the toad in our front yard. Therefore, it is perfectly acceptable to “get rid” of us, while we are defenseless, in the same manner that an animal shelter gasses its unwanted animals.

Mankind wase given dominion over the animals. We Are different. Within each of us is that Divine Spark”, which eternally links us to the Creator. As King David said,

For Thou didst form my inward parts; Thou didst weave me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to Thee, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Thy works, And my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from Thee, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth. Thine eyes have seen my unformed substance; And in Thy book they were all written, The days that were ordained for me, When as yet there was not one of them. (Psalm 139:13-16)

“Suffer Little Children”…

In 2003, Illinois State Senator Barack Hussein Obama (peace be upon him), spoke in front of his colleagues in defense of the infanticide known as Late-Term Abortion…

I just want to be clear because I think this was the source of the objections of the Medical Society. As I understand it, this puts the burden on the attending physician who has determined, since they were performing this procedure, that, in fact, this is a nonviable fetus; that if that fetus, or child – however way you want to describe it – is now outside the mother’s womb and the doctor continues to think that its nonviable but there’s, lets say, movement or some indication that, in fact, they’re not just out limp and dead, they would then have to call a second physician to monitor and check off and make sure that this is not a live child that could be saved. Is that correct?

While The Lightbringer was in the Illinois State Senate, he opposed a state version of the federal Born-Alive Infants Protection Act, a bill which would make sure that babies who survive abortions are given proper medical care.

This measure also protected babies who were “aborted” through a purposeful premature birth and left to die afterwards.

During Obama’s U.S. Senatorial Campaign in 2004, his opponent attacked him for supporting infanticide by voting against the above-mentioned bill. Obama responded by claiming that he had opposed the state bill because it lacked the neutrality clause found in the federal version.

The Chicago Tribune reported on October 4, 2004,

Obama said that had he been in the U.S. Senate two years ago, he would have voted for the Born-Alive Infants Protection Act, even though he voted against a state version of the proposal.

During Obama’s 2008 run for President, he stood by those claims.

In March, 2008, during a Townhall Meeting in Western Pennsylvania, Democratic Presidential Candidate Barack Hussein Obama (mm mmm mmmm) said,

Look, I got two daughters — 9 years old and 6 years old. I am going to teach them first about values and morals, but if they make a mistake, I don’t want them punished with a baby. I don’t want them punished with an STD at age 16, so it doesn’t make sense to not give them information.

Of course, Barack Hussein Obama was elected President of the United States. When he was “radically changing” everything about our sacred land, blood was being spilled across the fruited plains. Especially, in that same state of Pennsylvania:

On February 18, 2010, the FBI raided the “Women’s Medical Society,”run by Dr. Kermit Gosnell, a butcher, euphemistically killing babies under the title of “Abortion Doctor”.

The FBi entered the office about 8:30 p.m. expecting to find to find evidence that it was illegally selling prescription drugs. What they found was America’s Auschwitz:

There was blood on the floor. A stench of urine filled the air. A flea-infested cat was wandering through the facility, and there were cat feces on the stairs. Semi-conscious women scheduled for abortions were moaning in the waiting room or the recovery room, where they sat on dirty recliners covered with blood-stained blankets. All the women had been sedated by unlicensed staff. They also found out that a patient had died there several months earlier.

Until 2009, Gosnell reportedly performed mostly first and second trimester abortions. But his clinic had come to develop a bad reputation, and could attract only women who couldn’t get an abortion elsewhere, former employees have said. “Steven Massof estimated that in 40 percent of the second-trimester abortions performed by Gosnell, the fetuses were beyond 24 weeks gestational age,” the grand jury states. “Latosha Lewis testified that Gosnell performed procedures over 24 weeks ‘too much to count,’ and ones up to 26 weeks ‘very often.’ …in the last few years, she testified, Gosnell increasingly saw out-of-state referrals, which were all second-trimester, or beyond. By these estimates, Gosnell performed at least four or five illegal abortions every week.”

On December 14, 2012, 20 innocent children and six staff members were murdered at Sandy Hook Elementary School by the psychopath, Adam Lanza. Lanza shot his mother in the head, then drove over to the school, where he opened fire. The mass murder ended, as Lanza saved Americans a bunch of money, when he blew his sick and twisted brains out at the scene.

Sandy Hook Elementary was a Gun-Free Zone.

On January 16, 2013, newly re-elected President Barack Hussein Obama, introduced a Gun Control plan, using an American Tragedy for political gain…

Speaking to an audience that included family members of those killed a month ago in the shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary School, as well as children who wrote to Mr. Obama in the wake of recent episodes of mass violence, the president outlined a series of steps both political and administrative he says would limit access to guns and certain types of ammunition, make mental health care more attainable, and increase federal funds for both research and law enforcement.

Accompanied by Vice President Biden onstage, Mr. Obama acknowledged the difficulties of pursuing stricter legislation on gun laws, but said he would use “whatever weight this office holds” to achieve his agenda.

“Because while there is no law or set of laws that can prevent every senseless act of violence completely, no piece of legislation that will prevent every tragedy, every act of evil, if there’s even one thing we can do to reduce this violence, if there’s even one life that can be saved, then we’ve got an obligation to try,” he said. “This is our first task as a society: Keeping our children safe. This is how we will be judged. And their voices should compel us to change.”

Uh huh. Tell us another one, Scooter.

On January 22, 2013, Obama said,

On the 40th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, we reaffirm its historic commitment to protect the health and reproductive freedom of women across this country and stand by its guiding principle: that government should not intrude on our most private family matters, and women should be able to make their own choices about their bodies and their health care.

The Liberal mind is fascinating.  Sick and twisted…but, fascinating. On the one hand, Obama is saying that children are to be cherished and protected. I agree.

At, the same time, he stands by a woman’s right to kill her baby. I can hear the Liberals screeching right now.

That’s not a baby. It’s a fetus! it’s not the same thing! You chauvinist pig!

If cherishing God’s gift of life makes me a “chauvinist pig”, you’re darned skippy I am! Yay, pigs! Sooey! That’s not a puppy growing in there, y’all.

The blatant hypocrisy shown by Obama, his loyal minions in Congress, and the MSM, the Liberal pundits on TV and Radio, and ignorant “seminar” callers and posters on Conservative websites, in defense of Gun Control Confiscation and their silence regarding the American Auschwitz know as the Gosnell Case, is reminiscent of Germany in the 1930s…and positively chilling.

Remember last week, when MSNBC Host, and resident Communist, Melissa Harris-Perry proclaimed, 

…we have to break through our kind of private idea that kids belong to their parents, or kids belong to their families, and recognize that kids belong to whole communities. Once it’s everybody’s responsibility, and not just the household’s, then we start making better investments.

Evidently, for Obama and the rest of the Liberals, that only applies when the child is no longer a “punishment”.

The Gosnell Case: American Infanticide

I was inside my mother, sucking my thumb, all nice and safe and warm. The next thing I know, I feel this pressure on either side of my head, and I was ripped out of my mother.

Why is this happening to me? I have a whole life ahead of me.

I deserve a Mother and a Father. I will never have those. Grandparents, either. Heck, I won’t even get to know my cousins.

I want to know what milk tastes like. I want to hold a Cheerio in my hand and put it in my mouth.  I want to know what it’s like to get my first tooth…to take my first step….to hear music for the first time. I want to hold a puppy. I want to have a first day in school. I want to have a best friend.  I want to ride a bike. I want to have a best friend and go out to play with them. I want to know what Christmas is all about. I want to eat a turkey leg at Thanksgiving…and to see a fireworks display on the 4th of July.  I want to wear costumes on Halloween. I want to go to ballgames with my Father. 

I want to watch cartoons. I want to love and be loved.

I want to fall in love. I want to experience my first kiss. I want to have my parents drop me and my date off at the movie and then pick us up. I want to play sports in school…or be an artist…or be a musician…or, just be a kid. 

I want to go to a pep rally. I want to dance at a prom. I want to get a report card. Heck, I want to taste a school lunch.

I want to graduate and go to college. I want to start work…and have a family. 

I want to live!

On January 19, 2011, a Grand Jury released findings of its investigation into criminal wrongdoing at the Women’s Medical Society, a clinic operated in West Philadelphia, at 38th Street and Lancaster Avenue by Kermit B. Gosnell, M.D. The investigation was launched after drug agents raided the clinic and learned of the death of an abortion patient who suffered cardiac arrest after Gosnell’s employees gave her lethal doses of narcotics.

Gosnell staffed his decrepit and unsanitary clinic entirely with unlicensed personnel, let them practice medicine on unsuspecting patients, unsupervised, and directed them to heavily drug patients in his absence. In addition, he regularly performed abortions beyond the 24-week limit prescribed by law. As a result, viable babies were born. Gosnell killed them by plunging scissors into their spinal cords. He taught his staff to do the same.

The Grand Jury issued a presentment recommending criminal charges against Gosnell and his employees, including charges of murder against Kermit Gosnell, Lynda Williams, Adrienne Moton, and Steven Massof for killing viable babies born alive at the clinic, and charges of conspiracy to commit murder against these persons and Sherry West. Gosnell will also be charged with infanticide and performing illegal late-term abortions. Charged as coconspirators are Williams, West, and Pearl Gosnell, his wife.

With respect to the death of Karnamaya Mongar, Kermit Gosnell, Lynda Williams, and Sherry West are charged with third-degree murder, drug delivery resulting in death, drug violations, and conspiracy. Gosnell operated a corrupt criminal enterprise, for which the Grand Jury recommended racketeering charges against Kermit Gosnell, Lynda Williams, Sherry West, Adrienne Moton, Maddline Joe, Tina Baldwin, Pearl Gosnell, Steven Massof, and Eileen O’Neill. Massof and O’Neill, who pretended to be doctors, will be charged with theft by deception and conspiracy, with Gosnell, to deceive patients. Gosnell and Massof are also charged with conspiracy and drug violations for illegally dispensing narcotics.

The trial of abortionist Dr. Kermit Gosnell has begun. Yesterday,  a second woman from Delaware, who worked at the West Philadelphia abortion clinic, told the court yesterday that it was “standard procedure” to snip the necks of any babies who were delivered by patients before the abortion as a result of the labor-inducing drugs they took during the “procedure”.

According to Lynda Williams, 44, of Wilmington, Gosnell showed her how to flip the body of the baby over and snip its neck with a pair of scissors to ensure “fetal demise.”

The woman also offered testimony that, even when Gosnell was away frm that clinic, either running, swimming or working at a clinic in Delaware, she did as he showed her, taking a baby who was delivered in a toilet and coldly and without remorse, snipped its neck.

She then showed the jury how the baby jumped at having its neck snipped, by raising her arm.

Per Williams, she only snipped a neck the one time, “because it gave me the creeps.”

She explained to the jurors,

I only do what I’m told to do. What I was told to do was snip their neck.

Dr. Gosnell did not react to the testimony. He just calmly watched and occasionally took notes with a vague hint of a smile on his face from time to time.

All of the nurses and assistants who will testify in this trial will probably use what is known as the Nuremberg Defense:

I was just following orders.

Held for the purpose of bringing Nazi war criminals to justice, the Nuremberg trials were a series of 13 trials carried out in Nuremberg, Germany, between 1945 and 1949. The defendants, who included Nazi Party officials and high-ranking military officers along with German industrialists, lawyers and doctors, were indicted on such charges as crimes against peace and crimes against humanity. Nazi leader Adolf Hitler (1889-1945) committed suicide and was never brought to trial. Although the legal justifications for the trials and their procedural innovations were controversial at the time, the Nuremberg trials are now regarded as a milestone toward the establishment of a permanent international court, and an important precedent for dealing with later instances of genocide and other crimes against humanity.

How is the mass murder of these innocent American lives  any different than the “Final Solution” of the Nazis, which sent 6 million Jews and 5 million gypsies to the gas chambers? 

I know that there are some of you that read my blog that are non-believers.  For you and for my Christian brothers and sisters, I offer the following closing thoughts: 

There is a curious unique enzyme found in the human body.   Laminin is defined by the Webster Medical Dictionary as a “glycoprotein that is a component of connective tissue basement membrane and that promotes cell adhesion.”  In other words,a glue within the body.

Colossians 1:15-17 tells us:

15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. 16For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. 17And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

I believe that our nation and our leaders should realize that you cannot mock God. With actions come consequences. You know, that “cause and effect” thingy that “the Smart people” are so found of bringing up.

Each and every life is precious to The Creator. That baby growing in her womb, is not the property of the mother. Each and every one of us belong to the One who made us. He is our Sovereign Lord.

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you…

All those who believe that “it is a woman’s right to choose”…think too highly of themselves.

For every life is a Gift from The Creator to be loved and cherished, as He first loved us.

And, this country, like every other country on the face of this Earth, sits under His judgement.

Patrick Warren and My Friend Mike

rickwarrenAs I sit down to write this, I have just learned that Pastor Rick Warren’s youngest son, Patrick. committed suicide on Friday night. Warren is Pastor of Saddleback Valley Community Church, a mega-church, located out in California.

From all accounts, Patrick was a very nice 27 year old, who had suffered from mental illness for a long time, resulting in depession and suicidal thoughts.

According to a press release, issued by Saddleback Church,

Despite the best healthcare available, this was an illness that was never fully controlled and the emotional pain resulted in his decision to take his life,” the statement said. “We ask everyone to join us in praying for the entire Warren family and that God’s comfort and peace will be with them as they deal with this difficult situation.

As I mentioned above, Rick Warren is one of the best known Pastors in America. He has had two Best Sellers in The Purpose Driven Life and The Purpose Driven Church, which has been used by many pastors and church leaders as a blueprint on building a successful church.

Every seventeen minutes, someone in the United States commits suicide. Each day approximately 86 Americans commit suicide, and 1,500 people attempt suicide. Suicide is the nation’s eighth leading cause of death. For those 15-24 years of age, suicide is the third leading cause of death. More Americans, an estimated 31,000, kill themselves than are killed by homicide.

For every completed suicide, there are twenty-five attempted suicides. An estimated 750,000 suicide attempts annually affect the lives of millions of family members. The number of survivors grows 186,000 each year. For every suicide, at least six other people’s lives are affected.

I could not believe it, the other day, when I got in a discussion with a Libertarian on an Facebook Page. This young man insisted that

a) The pain that the individual is going through supercedes the selfishness of the act itself and all those family and friends who are left behind to suffer and grieve.

b) Suicide is merely an expression of individual freedom, and it is the business of the individual who is contemplating it, only.

When I could compose myself, I told the young man the story of my good friend Mike.

Mike dropped out of high school, got his GED, and enlisted in the Coast Guard, where he honorably served. He married a wonderful Christian girl, and became the father of two sons. Mike eventually landed a wonderful job, working nights as an air traffic controller, making well over 6 figures. is wife and sons, teenagers at the time, worshiped the ground he walked on. They were part of my extended family at the time. We celebrated the holidays together, and they considered my in-laws their surrogate parents. Mike and his wife had matching Harleys, which the drove over to my in-laws to show them off.

The world was Mike’s oyster, or so it seemed.

You see, Mike was battled an internal war with “princes and principalities”. He was what is called nowadays, bi-polar, or manic/depressive, as I’ve always called it.

Beneath the veneer of this easy-going family man, was a hedonist who immersed himself in pornography and gambling, unbeknownst to his wife.

Mike actually had been prescribed medicine for his illness, but, he stopped taking it, because as an air traffic controller, he was subject to random drug tests. He was afraid of his illness being found out about and, subsequently, losing his job as a result.

One day, Mike brought home some plastic pipes. When his wife as him what they were for, he told her that they were for fixing a drainage problem in their yard.

Shortly after that, his wife had to go out of town to care for her father, who had open heart surgery. On a cold December morning, Mike hugged the boys goodbye and put them on the school bus. He then loaded the pipes into the back of his white Chevy s10 pickup truck, along with some air conditioning insulation.

He drove down and parked beside a favor fishing spot, where he ran the pies from his exhaust, through the truck window. After putting insulation aroung the pip, he started the truck, popped in a cassette tape of his favorite tunes, and checked out. He was in his mid-30s.

It was three days before his wife and her twin sister’s birthday.

It is one of the most sad and selfish things I have ever witnessed in my 54 years.

It was soon discovered that Mike owed one of the casinos $180,000 in gambling debt, which they could not collect for his widow. It was also discovered that Mike had taken out 5 life insurance policies on himself. Only one of them would not pay his widow any money, due to his suicide.

His wife and sons wound up moving in with her parents, using some of the money Mike left to expand their house, to make room for them.

Mike left more collateral damage than that behind.

Before I started dating his mother, my stepson, who was 5, hung out over at Mike’s house all the time, and viewed Mike as a second father. When Mike killed himself, my steps-on was around 16. He was so devastated that he had to have counseling in order to deal with Mike’s death.

Is suicide the ultimate act of selfishness?

I think it is. As Christians, we are taught that it leads to estrangement from God.

Meanwhile, here in the material world, for those left behind, at least for a while, it leads to undeserved grieve and suffering.

Which only God can comfort.

Living in This Age of Selfishness

selfishnessYesterday morning, I fixed my bride and myself some leftover spiral-sliced honey ham sandwiches for lunch. As I was spreading mayonnaise on the last four pieces of bread in the loaf, I took the ends for my sandwich. It was then that I realized that something has been sticking in my craw lately. Maybe ,I’m just getting old.

HEY YOU KIDS…GET OFF OF MY LAWN!

Anyway, one of the things that is currently troubling me, is this unpleasant fact:

Americans are becoming more selfish.

It’s not just the J.R. Ewing kind of selfishness, otherwise known as a thirst for money and power. It’s different than that. It’s more along the lines of adults, who have never grown up.

For example, let’s look at the family living at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, DC.

In the first three months of the year, members of the first family have been on three vacations, averaging a vacation a month. And now it’s being reported that the first daughters are on a spring break vacation in the Bahamas.

The Obamas began the new year in Hawaii. “President Obama departed Hawaii this morning for Washington, after spending NINE days vacationing with family and friends in his native state. Here’s a quick look at how he spent his vacation,” ABC reported on January 6, 2013.

“Obama played FIVE rounds of golf with SEVEN different partners, spending roughly THIRTY hours on TWO different courses on Oahu. The president made FIVE early morning trips to the gym at the nearby Marine Base at Kaneohe Bay. The First Family spent TWO afternoons enjoying the beach on the base and went for ONE hike to a local waterfall. The president spent ONE father-daughter afternoon with Malia and Sasha, bowling and going out for shave ice, an annual tradition.”

Then the first lady and their daughters vacationed in Aspen over President’s Day weekend. “First Lady Michelle Obama arrived in Aspen on Friday afternoon and is here with her daughters for a ski vacation,” Aspendailynews.com reported in February. “Few details about her trip were available. Sources said she is staying at the home of Jim and Paula Crown, owners of the Aspen Skiing Co. She is reportedly skiing at Buttermilk today, where the Crowns, of Chicago, own a home on the Tiehack side.”

We have all seen Obama be a smart aleck  with everyone who dares question his brilliance, to the point of petulance. Obama’s behavior reminds me of the way Paul Reubens as Pee Wee Herman behaves when he’s upset,

I know you are. But, what am I?

And, of course, his lovely wife Mooch, err, I mean, Michelle, fancies herself a Professional Nutritionist…even though it takes her two trips to haul…err…butt.

But, this new selfishness doesn’t just stop with the First Family. It is pervasive throughout American Society. It is taught in our homes, by parents who, wanting the best for their children, teach them, from the time that they are old enough to understand, to look out for number one. Then, these little darlings go to school, where they’re taught that morals, values, and ethics are situational things, and that they owe allegiance to no one, neither God nor Country.

This didn’t happen when I was school age. In Elementary school, we prayed every morning, sang “Oh, What a Beautiful Morning”, and said the Pledge of Allegiance, with our hands solemnly over our hearts.

In fact, by the time we were school age, our parents had already taught us to say “Yes, ma’am” and “No, ma’am” and “Yes, sir” and “No, sir”. If we didn’t, we were disciplined. To this day, the back of my legs faintly read “4…5…6” from my Mother’s yardstick.

Nowadays, in the school my bride works at, the young boys and girls (third and fourth graders) disrespect the teachers, rolling their eyes at them, and back-talking them.  When the staff tries to discipline them, the parents come up to the school and chew them out for treating their little darlings so badly.

The young adults in this country, who were raised in such an ego-swelling, egocentric, lax environment, seem to be having trouble comprehending why they should give a..err..hoot ‘n holler about how their behavior effects those around them.

I, being the old fa…fogey that I am, am always attempting to explain to them that no man is a island. There are consequences for your actions, and, those consequences affect more than just you.

On May 18, 1800, Reverend Joseph McKeen, Pastor of the First Church of Beverly, gave a timeless warning, in a sermon given to the House of Representatives and the Senate of the State of Massachusetts…

Good example acts with the greater effect, because it reproves without upbraiding, and teaches us to correct our faults without giving us the mortification of knowing that any but ourselves, have ever observed them. We feel the force of counsel or persuasion much more sensibly, when we see that one does what he advises or requires us to do. But the best counsel from one, who obeys not his own precepts, nor practices upon the principles of his own advice, will generally be little regarded. We do not believe a man to be in earnest, who advises one thing, and does the contrary.

To resist the progress of irreligion, injustice, luxury, selfishness, and an impatience of legal restraint, is a duty imposed by patriotism.

…The love of liberty we inherit from our fathers; it is so “interwoven with the ligaments of our hearts,î that there can be little doubt of our enjoying it, and little danger of its being wrested from us so long as we are capable and worthy of it. But a capacity for enjoying it depends on a sound and healthful state of the body politic.

The more freedom we have, the more necessary is the aid of religious and moral principles to the maintenance of order and tranquility. When these are lost, or very much relaxed, severe restraints, which cannot always admit of those legal forms, that are essential to the security of liberty, become necessary; yet the people may retain a love of liberty, or rather an impatience of restraint, as the sensualist retains a passion for pleasure, after his constitution is so much impaired by excess, that indulgence would be fatal to him. Liberty, like the pleasures of sense, must be enjoyed with temperance and moderation, lest degenerating into licentiousness it prove destructive. There are none, it may be presumed, who will openly avow that political liberty is, or ought to be, a license for every one to do what is right in his own eyes; yet where the love of liberty is strong, and its nature not distinctly understood, there is too often a disposition to look with an indulgent eye on licentiousness, as only the extreme of a good thing, and therefore pardonable. But the difference between them is greater than some imagine: They are indeed so different, as to be incompatible in society. When one has an excess of liberty, he invades the rights of his neighbor, who is thereby deprived of a portion of the liberty which a free constitution promises him. Liberty in that case becomes exclusively the possession of the strong, the unprincipled, the artful, who makes a prey of the innocent, weak and unsuspicious. A state of things like this is a real despotism, and of the worst kind. It is a poor consolation to the plundered, abused sufferer to be told, that he must not complain; for his oppressor is not an hereditary monarch, acting by a pretended divine right, but only a fellow citizen, acting in the name of “liberty and equality.î

I believe that a lot of this selfishness we see around us, in Today’s America, comes from a generation not “being trained in the way that they should go”. Without strong role models, Christian, Jewish, or otherwise, children have no one to model themselves after. If the parents are selfish themselves, or, enablers, guess what their precious little darling is going to turn out to be?

The precious little darlings of the last few decades, who were raised to be selfish, are now selfish adults.

Unfortunately, selfish children tend to grow up to embrace a like-minded political ideology. And, then, they vote.

He is Risen!

Wow. It’s really been amazing around here since they crucified Jesus. Did you feel that earthquake? The veil of the temple was torn in half! And did you hear? A bunch of people that had died years ago, were seen walking around the city! But that’s not all. Don’t tell me you haven’t heard?

Listen to this: He has risen! He arose from the dead and was seen by several people. It’s true! I know it sounds unbelievable. I can scarcely take it in myself. Mary Magdalene and Mary, James and Salome’s mother, went to the tomb to perform the anointing of His body and it wasn’t there! On top of that, there was this young guy there, dressed in a white robe. They said he must have been 9 feet tall. He said, “You are seeking Jesus of Nazareth. Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here. See the place where you laid him.” So they went and told the disciples. But you know how Peter is. He just had to go run up there and see for himself.

Jesus even approached two of them on the road to Emmaus. They didn’t recognize him. He even broke bread with them that night. They realized who He was and He disappeared! They ran to tell the disciples and as they were telling them, Jesus appeared right in front of them! They were all starting to panic. Jesus said, “Peace to you.” But they couldn’t believe it was him, especially Thomas. So he had him touch him in the hole in his hand where they drove the nail and where the spear pierced his side.

Jesus ate with them and performed other signs and miracles in front of them and they understood scripture as never before. He also came to them at the Sea of Tiberius. Peter took the disciples fishing and they weren’t catching anything. Jesus told them from the bank to cast the net down on the right side. They did, and they could hardly bring it in the boat! When they got back to land, Jesus already had a fire going and some fish and bread ready to eat. He asked Peter three times if he loved Him, and each time He told him “Feed my sheep’. Hey, isn’t that the same number of times Peter Denied Him?

Anyway, He taught them many things before He left. They watched as He was taken straight up into heaven. Can you imagine?

The disciples are making plans now to go out and starting spreading the Good News about Jesus’ Resurrection. They are talking about going out in pairs. Man. Nothing is ever going to be the same again.

“For God so loved the word, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” – John 3:16

There are approximately 38,000 Christian denominations in the world. This statistic takes into consideration cultural distinctions of denominations in different countries.

Today, in the United States of America, about 78% (244, 140,000) of adults identify themselves as Christian. In comparison, the next largest religions in America are Islam and Judaism. Combined they represent only about one to two percent of the United States population.

There are more than 1500 different Christian faith groups in America.

All this and more, because of the sacrifice of the Son of God.
Within the editorial, Jesus, the Perfect Man, published on Christmas Day 1912, C.P.J. Mooney, Editor of the Memphis Commercial Appeal, wrote the following excerpt:

After the experience of 2,000 years no man can find a flaw in the governmental system outlined by Jesus.

Czar and kaiser, president and Socialist, give to its complete merit their admiration.

No man today, no matter whether he follows the doctrine of Mill, Marx or George as to property, can find a false principle in Jesus’ theory of property.

In the duty of a man to his fellow no sociologist has ever approximated the perfection of the doctrine laid down by Jesus in His Sermon on the Mount.

Not all the investigations of chemists, not all the discoveries of explorers, not all the experiences of rulers, not all the historical facts that go to make up the sum of human knowledge on this day in 1912 are in contradiction to one word uttered or one principle laid down by Jesus.

The human experiences of 2,000 years show that Jesus never made a mistake. Jesus never uttered a doctrine that was true at that time and then became obsolete.

Jesus spoke the truth, and the truth is eternal.

History has no record of any other man leading a perfect life or doing everything in logical order. Jesus is the only person whose every action and whose every utterance strike a true note in the heart and mind of every man born of woman. He never said a foolish thing, never did a foolish act and never dissembled.

No poet, no dreamer, no philosopher loved humanity with all the love that Jesus bore toward all men.

WHO, THEN, was Jesus?

He could not have been merely a man, for there never was a man who had two consecutive thoughts absolute in truthful perfection.

Jesus must have been what Christendom proclaims Him to be — a divine being — or He could not have been what He was. No mind but an infinite mind could have left behind those things which Jesus gave the world as a heritage.

In this time in this nation, our faith as Christian Americans has been under attack as never before. Remember, that our fight is against “princes and principalities”.  And…

Turn your eyes upon Jesus,

Look full in His wonderful face,

And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,

In the light of His glory and grace.

He is risen indeed!
