On Whose Side?

As President Obama (all praise be to him) begins his Nuclear Summit this week, the leaders of two countries are extremely noteworthy in their absence, Israel and Great Britain.   Having been staunch allies through the years, why are they not in attendence this week, backing us up, as friends normally do?

Let’s take a quick look at how the Obama Administration has treated these two long time friends since taking office.  First, the Administration gave back a bust of Sir Winston Churchill that had been sitting in the oval office for decades.  Then, they tried to squirm out of it by accepting other gifts from Britain.  How did the Brits feel about that?  I’ll let the Guardian explain:

In return for a pen holder carved from the timbers of the sister ship of the one the White House desk is made from and a first edition of a seven-volume biography of Winston Churchill, the Mail is appalled that “Barack Obama, the leader of the world’s richest country” gave Brown a box set of 25 DVDs selected by the American Film Institute. These, it says, include Raging Bull, Casablanca, Psycho and The Graduate. It is, the Mail says, “a gift about as exciting as a pair of socks“.

… Was it only yesterday a commentary in the (London) Times bemoaned the supposed injustice of the Browns giving the Obama’s daughters Top Shop dresses (with matching necklaces) when all their parents gave the Brown boys were models of the presidential helicopter Marine One? Yes it was.

And how have Scooter and his minions treated Israel?   This from FoxNews.com:

After failing to extract a written promise of concessions on settlements, Obama walked out of his meeting with Netanyahu but invited him to stay at the White House, consult with advisers and “let me know if there is anything new”, a U.S. congressman, who spoke to the Prime Minister, said.

“It was awful,” the congressman said. One Israeli newspaper called the meeting “a hazing in stages”, poisoned by such mistrust that the Israeli delegation eventually left rather than risk being eavesdropped on a White House telephone line. Another said that the Prime Minister had received “the treatment reserved for the President of Equatorial Guinea”.

Left to talk among themselves Netanyahu and his aides retreated to the Roosevelt Room. He spent a further half-hour with Obama and extended his stay for a day of emergency talks to try to restart peace negotiations.

So who is attending?  A very long list including, representatives from Western Europe, Eastern Europe, India, China, Vietnam, South Korea, Jordan, South America, and The United Nations Administrative Body.

So, in this bizarro-world American Foreign Policy that the Obama Administration calls Smart Power, are our enemies now our friends, and our friends now our enemies?   I feel like Sheriff J.W. Pepper, in Roger Moore’s first movie as James Bond Agent 007, Live and let Die:

 A spy?  On whose side?

The Obama Administration is naive at best and treasonous at worst.   Where will the foreign policy of this out-of-control Administration lead us?   I think this video sums it up best, buckaroos.

Just a Clump of Cells? Hardly.

I was born three days before my mother’s 40th birthday.  To say I was a surprise is an understatement.  I truly believe that they were going to name me “oops”.   That being said, I am truly grateful that God convicted them regarding the sanctity of the life that my mother was carrying within her.

Prior to 1973, abortions were allowed in some states but restricted or almost banned in others. Every state legislature made their own decision on whether to allow abortions and under what circumstances.  There was no Federal Law in regards to abortion.   Then, in 1973, the U.S. Supreme Court gave us Roe v. Wade. It declared a Texas anti-abortion statute unconstitutional and, in doing so, affected abortion laws in many other states.

The Supreme Court justices ruled that, throughout the U.S.:

  • During the first three months of pregnancy, a woman and her physician may jointly decide to terminate a pregnancy. No significant state interference is allowed.
  • Later in pregnancy, states can restrict abortion access with laws but only if they are intended to protect the woman’s health.
  • Once the fetus is viable, an abortion must still be available if the woman’s health or life are at risk. State governments are free to pass legislation that will allow or prohibit late-term abortions — those on a viable fetus — for other reasons.

The new Obamanation of a Healthcare Reform, err, Health Insurance Reform, err, Healthcare Reform Bill that has just been passed says the following about abortions:

Federal premium or costsharing subsidies may not be used to purchase coverage for abortion if coverage extends beyond saving the life of the woman or in cases of rape or incest. If an individual who receives federal assistance purchases coverage in a plan that chooses to cover abortion services beyond those for which federal funds are permitted, those federal subsidy funds (for premiums or costsharing) must not be used for the purchase of the abortion coverage and must be segregated from private premium payments or state funds.

At least two lawsuits have been filed challenging the new healthcare law on religious grounds.

One was filed by a Michigan-based group, the Thomas More Law Center. The other was filed on behalf of Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va., which was founded by the late Jerry Falwell.

Both groups oppose abortion and take the stance that forcing individuals to participate in a healthcare system that supports abortionsis in violation of their First Amendment right to freely follow their sincerely held religious beliefs. It will be interesting to see how these lawsuits progress.

Regarding the issue of abortion itself, the  latest arguments that you hear from the pro-abortion crowd are like this one from atheism.about.com:

Whether the fetus is declared a person from a scientific, religious, or legal perspective, this would not necessarily mean that abortion is wrong. A woman could assert a right to control her body such that even if the fetus is a person, it has no legal claim to use it. Could an adult claim a right to being hooked up to someone’s body? No — it might not be ethical to refuse the use of one’s body to save the life of another, but it couldn’t be forced by the law.

And from Salon.com:

The attempt to change the vocabulary around embryos is part of a larger strategy to elevate the fetus to ‘personhood’ under the 14th Amendment — and an effort to overturn Roe,” says Suzanne Martinez, vice president for public policy at the Planned Parenthood Federation of America.

Relative ethics and morality sure make self-deluded attempts at logic easier, don’t they?

Here are some thoughts from The Book provided by The Author of Life:

Did not He who made me in the womb make him, And the same one fashion us in the womb? (Job 31:15)

Yet Thou art He who didst bring me forth from the womb; Thou didst make me trust when upon my mother’s breasts. Upon Thee I was cast from birth; Thou hast been my God from my mother’s womb. (Psalm 22:9-10)

For Thou didst form my inward parts; Thou didst weave me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to Thee, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Thy works, And my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from Thee, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth. Thine eyes have seen my unformed substance; And in Thy book they were all written, The days that were ordained for me, When as yet there was not one of them. (Psalm 139:13-16)

Thus says the LORD who made you And formed you from the womb, who will help you, `Do not fear, O Jacob My servant; And you Jeshurun whom I have chosen. (Isaiah 44:2)

Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, and the one who formed you from the womb, “I, the LORD, am the maker of all things, Stretching out the heavens by Myself, And spreading out the earth all alone, (Isaiah 44:24)

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, And before you were born I consecrated you; I have appointed you a prophet to the nations.” (Jeremiah 1:5)

Why,  even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not;  you are of more value than many sparrows.”(Luke 12:7 )

From the scientific perspective, Dr. Carlo Bellieni, in his book “Dawn of the I: Pain, Memory, Desire, Dream of the Fetus,” says:

As soon as it is born, the child shows in a scientifically demonstrable way that it recognizes its mother’s voice and distinguishes it from that of a stranger. Where has he learned that voice other than in the maternal womb?

There are also direct proofs. For example, we register how the movements and cardiac frequency of the fetus vary if we transmit unexpected sounds through the uterine wall. And we see that at first the fetus is startled, then it gets used to it, just like we do when we hear something that does not interest us.

In fact, the scientific evidence is immense. We cannot understand how it can be thought that it becomes a person at a certain point, perhaps when coming out of the uterus.

From the physical point of view, at the birth very little really changes: Air enters the lungs, the arrival of blood from the placenta is interrupted, the type of circulation of blood in the heart changes, and not much more.

As I often say, only blind faith in magic arts or some strange divinity can lead one to think that there is a “human” quality leap at a given moment — certainly not science.

I know that there are some of you that read my blog that are non-believers.  For you and for my Christian brothers and sisters, I offer the following closing thoughts:

There is a curious unique enzyme found in the human body.   Laminin is defined by the Webster Medical Dictionary as a “glycoprotein that is a component of connective tissue basement membrane and that promotes cell adhesion.”  In other words, a glue within the body.

Colossians 1:15-17 tells us:

15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. 16For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. 17And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

“Soylent Green is People!”

Do you remember last August 7th when Sarah Palin posted the following on her Facebook page?

The Democrats promise that a government health care system will reduce the cost of health care, but as the economist Thomas Sowell has pointed out, government health care will not reduce the cost; it will simply refuse to pay the cost. And who will suffer the most when they ration care? The sick, the elderly, and the disabled, of course. The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama’s “death panel” so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their “level of productivity in society,” whether they are worthy of health care. Such a system is downright evil.

Health care by definition involves life and death decisions. Human rights and human dignity must be at the center of any health care discussion.

Of course, the Liberal Obama sycophantic media and all his brainless minions immediately responded thusly:

ABC’s Rick Klein on August 13 wrote:

ABC News’ Teddy Davis reports:

Sarah Palin is standing by her discredited charge that House Democrats are proposing to create “death panels”. The former Alaska governor’s statement, which she posted to Facebook on Wednesday evening, came one day after President Obama implicitly took issue with her stance during a Tuesday town-hall meeting in New Hampshire.

Referring to Section 1233 of the House Democratic health care bill, Palin writes: “With all due respect, it’s misleading for the president to describe this section as an entirely voluntary provision that simply increases the information offered to Medicare recipients.”

The truth, however, is that the end of life counseling contained in the House Democratic bill would be voluntary.

As the Associated Press has reported, the House bill would permit Medicare to pay doctors for voluntary counseling sessions that address end-of-life issues. The doctor-patient discussions would cover living wills, making a close relative or a trusted friend your health care proxy, learning about hospice as an option for the terminally ill, and information about pain medications for people suffering chronic discomfort.

And even idiot Liberal Bloggers got into the act:

The reigning queen of Death Panel lies, Sarah “Sees Russia From Her House” Palin has taken a job as an idiotic commentator on Rupert Murdoch’s infamous propaganda arm of the Party of Jesus, originally the Republican Party.

False News knows a consistent liar with low IQ when they see one, sand Sarah should be a natural fit with racists pigs like Mor[m]on Beck and boisterous fools like Bill O’Lielly.

Mmmm, Death Panels!

Nice spelling and sentence structure there, Walt Whitman.

And, of course the completely unbiased (just ask George Soros) Media Matters:

Numerous media outlets have now debunked right-wing claims that the House health care reform bill would encourage euthanasia of the elderly, including Sarah Palin’s claim — forwarded by the conservative media — that the bill would create a “death panel” and the related claim — initiated by Betsy McCaughey — that the bill would “absolutely require” that seniors on Medicare undergo end-of-life counseling “that will tell them how to end their life sooner.” Indeed, Media Matters for America has identified more than 40 instances of media reporting that these claims are false.

40 sources, huh?  Like MSNBC, CNN, NY Times, LA Times, thinkprogress.com, factcheck.com, etc, I bet.

So, the healthcare Reform, err, Health Insurance Reform, err, Healthcare Reform Bill, finally got passed, by hook or crook…mostly crook.   And then, as Nancy Pelosi said we would, we found out what was in this Obamanation.  For instance, some lovely little Bureaucratic Bonanzas called Exchanges and Co-ops.  Here is a summary explanation of their purposes from a legal paper prepared for Insurance Brokers:

A statebased American Health Benefit Exchanges and Small Business Health Options Program (SHOP) Exchanges would be created for individuals and small businesses with up to 100 employees can purchase qualified coverage. The program would be administered by a governmental agency or nonprofit organization, through which Permit states to allow businesses with more than 100 employees to purchase coverage in the SHOP Exchange beginning in 2017. States may form regional Exchanges or allow more than one Exchange to operate in a state as long as each Exchange serves a distinct geographic area. (Funding available to states to establish Exchanges within one year of enactment and until 1/1 2015)

Access to coverage through the Exchanges would be restricted to U.S. citizens and legal immigrants who are not incarcerated.

Four benefit categories of plans plus a separate catastrophic plan would be offered through the Exchange, and in the individual and small group markets:

  1. Bronze plan represents minimum creditable coverage and provides the essential health benefits, cover 60% of the benefit costs of the plan, with an outofpocket limit equal to the Health Savings Account (HSA) current law limit ($5,950 for individuals and $11,900 for families in 2010);
  2. Silver plan provides the essential health benefits, covers 70% of the benefit costs of the plan, with the HSA outofpocket limits;
  3. Gold plan provides the essential health benefits, covers 80% of the benefit costs of the plan, with the HSA outofpocket limits;
  4. Platinum plan provides the essential health benefits, covers 90% of the benefit costs of the plan, with the HSA outofpocket limits; (§1311)

Catastrophic plan available to those up to age 30 or to those who are exempt from the mandate to purchase coverage and provides catastrophic coverage only with the coverage level set at the HSA current law levels except that prevention benefits and coverage for three primary care visits would be exempt from the deductible. This plan is only available in the individual market.

But what about Co-ops?:

A COOP initiative would be established to foster the creation of nonprofit, memberrun health insurance companies in all 50 states and District of Columbia to offer qualified health plans.

A grant or loan would not be awarded unless the following conditions are met to be a qualified health insurance issuer: an organization must not be an existing health insurer or sponsored by a state or local government, substantially all of its activities must consist of the issuance of qualified health benefit plans in each state in which it is licensed, governance of the organization must be subject to a majority vote of its members, must operate with a strong consumer focus, and any profits must be used to lower premiums, improve benefits, or improve the quality of health care delivered to its members.

The cooperative would coordinate with the implementation of state insurance reforms required by this bill.

$6 billion would be appropriated to finance the program and award loans and grants to establish COOPs by 7/1/2013.

The Health and Human Services Secretary will be in charge of this boodoggle.  Regarding the Exchanges:

  1. HHS Secretary is required to “establish procedures under which a State may allow” (but is not required to permit) “agents and brokers to enroll individuals” in Exchange plans;
  2. HHS would be required to establish an advisory board to assist with helping to clarify the requirements for the state exchanges. The Advisory Board must include “individuals and entities with experience in facilitating enrollment in qualified health plans.”
  3.  Any state exchange can enter into contracts with private entities to carry out any exchange responsibility; although health insurance issuers are precluded from entering into such contracts, there is no agent/broker prohibition.
  4.  Exchanges will contract with outside parties to engage in exchangerelated education, marketing and enrollmentrelated activities (“Navigators”). Insurance agents and brokers are expressly included in the list of individuals/entities contemplated as Navigators. Note, however, there is a restriction prohibiting anyone from serving as a Navigator who is paid in any way “directly or indirectly” in connection with the “enrollment of any individuals or employees” in an Exchangeprovided plan. HHS will be required to promulgate regulations that would apply to the state exchanges to ensure that any Navigator “is qualified, and licensed if appropriate.”

Government’s role in Co-ops:

For a COOP to be eligible for federal startup assistance, its “governing documents [must] incorporate ethics and conflict of interest standards protecting against insurance industry involvement and interference.” Additionally, the federal advisory board that would be established to oversee the funding program for COOPs specifically bars any insurance industry involvement.

Just think, all these potential decision makers are the same genuises who bought $10,000 toilet seats for the Pentagon.  Professional Bureaucrats, state Democratic Party Politial hacks, and Beancounters will be making life and death decisions over whether you are enough of a viable return on their investment in your Healthcare to making treating your illness a worthwhile proposition.

Mr. Jones, I’m sorry you need a quadruple bypass.  But, at your age, surgery just would not be  fiscally responsible.  Here is a bottle of Flintstones Vitamins.  Good luck.

Sarah Palin was exactly right.  God help us all.

The Pee Wee Herman Defense

Just like me, I’m sure you have known some thin-skinned people in your life.  In fact, we have all been thin-skinned at one time or another as circumstances arise.   However, when you list the qualities that people want in the President of the United States, the leader of the free world, I doubt you will see that quality on the list.

This week, President “Scooter” Obama, met with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev for the purpose of signing a Nuclear Arms Non-Proliferation and Reduction Treaty.    Part of this new policy entails not retaliatiing against a first strike against the U.S. with nuclear weapons unless you are a very naughty country.  Scooter’s ultimate goal is to wipe out all the world’s nuclear stockpile within 10 years.

Kind of gives you a warm, fuzzy feeling, doesn’t it?

Yesterday, former Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin expressed her feelings about Scooter’s less-than-fearsome nuclear policy:

“It’s unbelievable. Unbelievable,” said Palin on Wednesday evening while appearing on Sean Hannity’s Fox News program. “No administration in America’s history would, I think, ever have considered such a step that we just found out President Obama is supporting today. It’s kinda like getting out there on a playground, a bunch of kids, getting ready to fight, and one of the kids saying, ‘Go ahead, punch me in the face and I’m not going to retaliate. Go ahead and do what you want to with me.’

“No, it’s unacceptable,” she continued. “This is another thing that the American public, the more that they find out, what is a part of this agenda, they are going to rise up and they are going to say ‘no more.’ National security, national defense is the No. 1 job of the federal government.”

“I really have no response. Because last I checked, Sarah Palin’s not much of an expert on nuclear issues,”Scooter responded in an interview with ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos.

Wrong, Scooter.  While I’m sure Gov. Palin doesn’t know how to construct a atomic weapon, she’s knows a great deal about the game we play wih our old adversary – Sean Connery, The Hunt For Red October.

What Obama and his Far Left Cabal don’t what you to know is, that as governor of a state with Nuclear Missile sites and because of Russia’s closeness to Alaska, she was briefed daily from her commanders. She served 700 days in office,  gaining knowledge from her Military commanders.

Alaska is the first line of defense in our missile interceptor defense system. The 49th Missile Defense Battalion of the Alaska National Guard is the unit that protects the entire nation from ballistic missile attacks.  It’s on permanent active duty, unlike other Guard units.

Paln, as governor of Alaska,  was briefed on highly classified military issues, homeland security, and counterterrorism.

She was the commander in chief of the Alaska State Defense Force (ASDF), a federally recognized militia incorporated into Homeland Security’s counterterrorism plans.  Palin was privy to military and intelligence secrets that are vital to the entire country’s defense because of Alska’s proximity to Russia.

So, Gov. Palin actually does know what she is talking about.  I’m shocked, I tell you.  Shocked.

How did Scooter come up with this boondoggle of a treaty?    Well, according to CNN:

Negotiators (i.e., Bureaucrats) have been working since April 2009 to wrap up the “follow-on” to the 1991 START agreement. Talks were difficult, with disagreements over verification, including on-site inspection of missiles that carry nuclear warheads.

A U.S. official with knowledge of the talks earlier said that negotiators had found “innovative” ways to verify what each side has ( phone calls…text messages?). Verification will be a top issue politically (no kidding) because the U.S. Senate and the Russian parliament will each have to ratify any agreement.

Russian officials at one point objected to the Obama administration’s plans to build a missile-defense system in Eastern Europe. Specifically, they were angered by news leaks from Romania that it had agreed to allow missile interceptors to be installed in that country.

The issue, according to arms control experts, was resolved by including non-binding language (well, that certainly put some teeth in it) in the START treaty’s preamble stating that there is a relationship between offensive and defensive weapons; however, the treaty itself deals only with limits on offensive weapons systems. This resolution could help placate U.S. critics who want no link in the treaty between offensive and defensive weapons, arguing that it might be used to try to limit a U.S. missile-defense plan.

The new treaty would be the first pact related to arms control since the end of the Cold War, experts have said, setting the stage for further arms reductions that will tackle thorny issues such as what to do with non-deployed warheads that are kept in storage, tactical nuclear weapons and further cuts in missiles and launch vehicles.  (How’s that unicorn doing in your back yard, Skippy?)

Some of those issues are expected to come up at the nuclear security summit in Washington on April 12-13. (Ya think?)

So, on one hand we have a former Alskan Governor, who was briefed daily for 700 days about the Russian Nuclear arsenal by Professional Military men.  On the other hand, we have a former law school guest lecturer/community organizer who has held the highest administrative office in America for a little over 14 months being advised by professional,  Liberal, government bureacrats.

No wonder Scooter had to resort to the Pee-Wee Herman Defense.  I know you are, but what am I?

We’re All Rebels Now

Well, what was yesterday’s match that set off a  media firestorm and a Conservative website Flame War?  Obama’s nuclear arms naivete?  Those despicable Tea Party Racists (sarc)?  Michele Obama’s White House Garden?  Nope.

Yesterday, Gov. Bob McDonnell declared April Confederate History Month in Virginia.  Oh, the horror of it all.  Imagine that.  Trying to remember part of the history of America in Virginia, of all places, where the most battles were fought in the War Between The States.

Gov. McDonnell’s actions brought down a firestorm from the unofficial Office for the Enforcement of Political Correctness and Revisionist History.  I know. That’s not a real Government Office.  But, just wait.  it will be.

Late yesterday, Gov. McDonnell said that it was a “major omission” leaving out slavery in his declaration.  He further added:

The failure to include any reference to slavery was a mistake, and for that I apologize to any fellow Virginian who has been offended or disappointed…
Duly noted, Bob.  Yes, slavery was evil.  But, was it any less evil 30 years before in the Northern states?  And in Europe and Africa before that?
Moving on. Yesterday saw another Civil War erupt on  the top Conservative website for thought and discussion.   On this particular thread, they ran the following poll:
Should McDonnell have proclaimed “Confederate History Month”?
Yes 48% (1,384 votes)
No 44% (1,290 votes)
Unsure 8% (227 votes)
Total Votes: 2,901
As you can see, the majority of Americans who voted on the poll, agreed with Gov. McDonnel.  However, the thread, being based on a contentious issue, also inspired such classy comments as:

Southerners have long been an embarrassment to conservatism and the Republican cause. Supporting a confederate history month doesn’t help that, not one bit. No one that supports this can call themselves an American.

They should be remembered only when trying to identify the grave to spit on.

The same clueless individual made these comments…and he claims to live in Georgia.   Stay classy, Skippy.

The same people who want to ignore this part of history are the same bunch of self-convinced psuedo-intellectual Liberals who do not want the American people to remember their history.  Significant facts like the Progressive political philosophy of Presidents Theodore Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, and FDR (thanks, Glenn Beck).  Or the fact that one of the issues fought over in the Civil War was the right of states to secede from the Union.  They would rather America’s history be swept under the rug or revised so that nobody’s feelings get hurt, thus freeing these usurpers to radically change this free nation into a mirror image of their own failed ideology.

What they didn’t count on was the courage and strength of will of freedom-loving Americans to fight against the unbridled expansion of Government intervention in their daily lives.  We’re all Rebels now.

The Attack of the Killer Casseroles

The White House, according to sources, is in the process of rewriting the United States National Security Strategy Document.  They are eliminating any reference identifying Islam as the source of Terrorist activities.  This comes on the heels on yesterday’s announcement that Scooter Obama has decided to enter into a non-proliferation and nuclear arms reduction treaty with the Russian Bear, trusting without verifying.  And we are not going to retaliate with nukes unless it is a very naughty country like Iran.   Hey Scooter, want to buy some beachfront property in Arizona?

Gone will be the terms Islamic Extremist,  Islamic Jihadist, and Islamic Fundamentalism.  They are going to replace those terms with Very Angry Person of Middle-Eastern Descent Who Disagrees with the Flawed Foreign Policy of Booooshor something like that.

“You take a country where the overwhelming majority are not going to become terrorists, and you go in and say, ‘We’re building you a hospital so you don’t become terrorists.’ That doesn’t make much sense,” said National Security Council staffer Pradeep Ramamurthy.

Ramamurthy runs the administration’s Global Engagement Directorate, a four-person National Security Council team that Obama launched last May with little fanfare and a vague mission to use diplomacy and outreach “in pursuit of a host of national security objectives.”

Since then, the division has not only helped change the vocabulary of fighting terror but also has shaped the way the country invests in Muslim businesses, studies global warming, supports scientific research and combats polio.

I hear they also sell autographed pictures of Scooter sinking a jump shot.

So, Obama is worried about offending devotees of Islam by linking them to extreme behavior.   After all, those weren’t Muslims that killed 3,000 people in the Twin Towers on 9/11.  Those weren’t Muslims that killed 220 Marines in their barracks in Beirut Lebanon in 1983.  Those weren’t Muslims that killed  sailors on the U.S.Cole in the waters off of Yemen.  Those weren’t Muslims that hijacked the Achille Laro.  That wasn’t a Muslim that blew up Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland, killing 270.  No.   We must have been mistaken all these years.  All the Islamic Fundamentalists, err, devout religious practicers, are as peaceful as that private madrassa, err, school Scooter attended when he was living in Indonesia as a child.

According to the White House and their sycophants, err, Democratic Congressional leaders, the real enemies of America are all the Seasoned Citizens and Average Americans of all races attending the Tea Party Rallies.  And, for gosh sakes, be careful around those Southern Baptists and Chamber of Commerce members like me.  We might attack you with one of those killer casseroles.

Consequences

In November of 1999, 5-year-old Elian Gonzalez arrived in America, after being rescued, floating in the Gulf of Mexico, escaping with his mother from Castro’s Cuba.  In April of 2000, that freedom was taken away from him by President Bill “Bubba” Clinton and Janet (I’m not going to go there) Reno, at the request of his father, still a peon (but probably given a government position for doing this) in Castro’s Cuba.  The picture you see here is Elian today.   After ten years of brainwashing, he is a proud Communist youth.

Decisions made by Presidents always have consequences.  Sometimes they’re good.  A lot of times they are not very good.  The decisions Presidents make literally affect not just the United States of America, but the whole world.  Sometimes the decision can have an immediate effect and sometimes the consequences to their decision has a delayed, but devastating effect on America’s future.

Today,  Barack Hussein Obama (mm mmm mmmm) will announce that he’s going to limit the scope of nuclear retaliation against enemies of America.  Only if you’re a really naughty country, like Iran, will our retaliation be nuclear.  His announcement proceeds next week’s non-proliferation summit with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev in Prague where they will sign a new U.S. treaty with Russia that calls for cutting the two countries’ nuclear arsenals by almost a third.   According to Scooter Obama in an interview yesterday with the NY times:

We are going to want to make sure that we can continue to move towards less emphasis on nuclear weapons.

Obama is also hosting a Washington summit on nuclear non- proliferation next week.  On top of that, Scooter has announced that he wants to get rid of all nuclear weapons within 10 years.  Now, doesn’t that make everyone feel warm and fuzzy inside?

Whatever happened to Trust, But Verify? I have shown you the example of these two Presidential decisions to make a point.  It is important to have mature, logical, reality-based, patriotic President in the White House.  The first decision cost a young boy his freedom.  This decision may very well cost Americans our lives.

A House Divided

I am a Christian American Conservative. I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and I will not apologize for the greatest country on Earth.

There has been a lot of conversation lately within the ranks of American Conservatives. In-fighting about what political philosophy and attitude to take. Should Conservatism be abandoned for the same kind of pseudo-intellectual arrogance and snarkiness that the Liberals practice with regularity and glee?

Or should Americans embrace Conservatism? Which kind of Conservatism? Fiscal? Social? Beltway/Moderate/Independent (a.k.a. Squishy)?

The Republican Party has been practicing “Squishy” Conservatism in the last two elections. We are currently living with the consequences of that. Practicing this political philosophy of relative ethics and relative morality is akin to building a house on shifting sand.

Americans do not tolerate vacillating leaders for very long. Look at the problems besetting The Magnificent One, Barack “Scooter” Obama. Few Americans, except for his Far Left sycophantic base, are buying the “Hope and Change” he is selling. And they are upset with him because he is not “hoping and changing” fast enough to suit them. He even tried to reach out to the rank and file of his party and the Independents (one or two) who still might support him by attending church on Easter Sunday. He held a photo op at Allen Chapel, a historic African Methodist Episcopal Church, founded shortly after the Civil War. This action from the man who once said, “Whatever we once were, we’re no longer just a Christian nation…” and who regularly worships at the Sanctuary of the Holy Basketball Court. But I digress…

Conservatives have a great opportunity ahead of us this November. But we will blow it if we do not present a united front. Our country is under siege from enemies, internal and external, that want to turn the “shining city on a hill” into a third-world barrio. We don’t have time for Internet Flame Wars, questioning the legitimacy of each other’s Conservatism. Nor do we have the luxury of wasting time ridiculing another Conservative for being old-fashioned or Christian. It’s time to man up. The barbarians have knocked down the gate and they are ransacking our homes. They have burdened future generations with a tax burden that may be insurmountable. For our children’s children’s sake, we must politically repel these invaders who wish to make us subservient to their failed ideology.

So before I wrap this rant up, I wish to leave you with the words of the greatest American President in my lifetime. There are those who say he wasn’t a believer. I beg to differ.

Freedom prospers when religion is vibrant and the rule of law under God is acknowledged. “

If we ever forget that we are One Nation Under God, then we will be a nation gone under.”

We are never defeated unless we give up on God.”

We have the duty to protect the life of an unborn child.”

Within the covers of the Bible are the answers for all the problems men face.”

“Without God, democracy will not and cannot long endure.” – President Ronald Reagan 2/6/11-6/5/04

He’s Alive!

Wow. It’s really been amazing around here since they crucified Jesus. Did you feel that earthquake? The veil of the temple was torn in half! And did you hear? A bunch of people that had died years ago, were seen walking around the city! But that’s not all. Don’t tell me you haven’t heard?

Listen to this: He has risen! He arose from the dead and was seen by several people. It’s true! I know it sounds unbelievable. I can scarcely take it in myself. Mary Magdalene and Mary, James and Salome’s mother, went to the tomb to perform the anointing of His body and it wasn’t there! On top of that, there was this young guy there, dressed in a white robe. They said he must have been 9 feet tall. He said, “You are seeking Jesus of Nazareth. Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here. See the place where you laid him.” So they went and told the disciples. But you know how Peter is. He just had to go run up there and see for himself.

Jesus even approached two of them on the road to Emmaus. They didn’t recognize him. He even broke bread with them that night. They realized who He was and He disappeared! They ran to tell the disciples and as they were telling them, Jesus appeared right in front of them! They were all starting to panic. Jesus said, “Peace to you.” But they couldn’t believe it was him, especially Thomas. So he had him touch him in the hole in his hand where they drove the nail and where the spear pierced his side.

Jesus ate with them and performed other signs and miracles in front of them and they understood scripture as never before. He also came to them at the Sea of Tiberius. Peter took the disciples fishing and they weren’t catching anything. Jesus told them from the bank to cast the net down on the right side. They did, and they could hardly bring it in the boat! When they got back to land, Jesus already had a fire going and some fish and bread ready to eat. He asked Peter three times if he loved Him, and each time He told him “Feed my sheep’. Hey, isn’t that the same number of times Peter Denied Him?

Anyway, He taught them many things before He left. They watched as He was taken straight up into heaven. Can you imagine?

The disciples are making plans now to go out and starting spreading the Good News about Jesus’ Resurrection. They are talking about going out in pairs. Man. Nothing is ever going to be the same again.

A Sinking Ship of State

The propaganda campaign coming from the White House since the passing of the Obamanation known as the Healthcare Reform Bill, err, The Health Insurance Reform Bill, err, The Healthcare Reform Bill, is that anyone who disagrees with it or anything that The Magnificent One, Barack Hussein Obama, (affectionately known as “Scooter”) does, is RAAACIIIST. This includes Seasoned Citizens and Average Americans (as well as people of color, too, I guess) attending Tea Parties, Townhalls, blogging on the internet, speaking on radio or television, or talking to their neighbors.

According to a teleprompter’s best friend:

“I do think that there is a tone and tenor — that needs to change, where we can disagree without being disagreeable or making wild accusations about the other side. And I think that’s what most Americans would like to see, as well.” – President Barack Hussein Obama from an interview shot in The Sanctuary of The Holy Baskeball Court with Harry Smith of CBS News April 1, 2010.

You mean like this, Scooter? Per Fox4kc.com:

“KANSAS CITY, MO April 1, 2010 – U.S. Rep. Emanuel Cleaver voted in favor of the controversial health care reform bill, but talk isn’t raging about how voted, but whether or not he was purposely spit on as he and other congressmen made their way to the U.S. Capitol building to cast their vote.

In video of the incident, a man is seen with his hands around his mouth and yelling at the Kansas City, Missouri, Democrat as he walked by. The footage shows Rep. Cleaver reacting to the man, and is seen a few seconds later wiping his face.

The video is not clear as to whether or not the man spit in Cleaver’s face intentionally, or if it was a matter of “say it, don’t spray it.” Rep. Cleaver never commented on the incident, but it didn’t take long before many people claimed that he was spit upon.

In an interview on Tuesday with FOX 4 News, Rep. Cleaver would not directly answer the question of whether or not he was intentionally spit upon.

“I haven’t talked about this incident on TV or anywhere, and I’ve been approached to talk about it on every national TV show,” said Rep. Cleaver in an interview with FOX 4 News. “I never, I never reported anything, never a single thing in Washington, not one thing. People assume I went somewhere, never done press conference, never done an interview on it and I’m not going to do it.”

Rep. Cleaver’s refusal to discuss the incident has not stopped the speculation, including claims that the incident never happened, or that the story was manufactured to discredit conservatives who demonstrated against health care reform.

Rep. Cleaver says that he wants to put the incident behind him.

“All I’m saying is we all have to defuse it, and I think it is not in my best interest or in the best interest of this nation to stoke it,” said Rep. Cleaver. “I’ve avoided doing and I will continue to do it.”

After that bunch of liars and thieves up in The Beltway passed The Obamanation, their sycophantic pundits starting spreading the word that the American people were going to love this Government takeover of 1/6th of our economy, and President Obama’s popularity was going to soar to new heights. Not quite. There was an initial bump. But it turned out to be our Titanic Ship of State hitting an iceberg.

Per CBSNews.com:

“Last week, President Obama signed historic health care reform legislation into law — but his legislative success doesn’t seem to have helped his image with the American public.

The latest CBS News Poll, conducted between March 29 and April 1, found Americans unhappier than ever with Mr. Obama’s handling of health care – and still worried about the state of the economy.

President Obama’s overall job approval rating has fallen to an all-time low of 44 percent, down five points from late March, just before the health bill’s passage in the House of Representatives. It’s down 24 points since his all-time high last April. Forty-one percent of those polled said they disapproved of the president’s performance.

When it comes to health care, the President’s approval rating is even lower — and is also a new all-time low. Only 34 percent approved, while 55 percent said they disapproved.

Americans are still worried about the economy, with 84 percent telling CBS they thought it was still in bad condition.”

So, how have these astute political pundits, the Cable News Networks who were complicit in the ascension of The Magnificent One and the passage of The Obamanation, fared in their quest for viewers?

Per DrudgeReport.com:

CABLE NEWS RATINGS FOR THURSDAY, APRIL 1,2010

FOXNEWS O’REILLY 2,981,000
FOXNEWS HANNITY 2,256,000
FOXNEWS PALIN 2,073,000
FOXNEWS BECK 2,014,000
FOXNEWS BAIER 1,877,000
FOXNEWS SHEP 1,658,000
MSNBC OLBERMANN 989,000
MSNBC MADDOW 950,000
CNN KING 839,000
CNN COOPER 820,000
CNNHN BEHAR 641,000

It does not look like they are faring too well, does it? Even Fox News’ version of a Liberal Newscaster, Tupelo, Mississippi’s own Shepherd Smith, is almost doubling the sycophantic, bellicose Keith Olbermann. And, please try not to laugh out loud at Joy Behar’s numbers. She’s sensitive, you know. (Yeah, and I’m a 22 year old Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader named Buffy.)

The bottom line is this. The American people are angry. A bill that the vast majority did not want, has been passed into law against their will. And now they are being spoken to like children, told that they have to accept this Obamanation and like it, like you speak to a child swallowing a bitter pill. They are further being told that, if they don’t accept this benevolent dictatorship, that they are ignorant and racist. As we say in Dixie, that dog don’t hunt. The vast majority of Americans love their country. They were raised to value individual freedom. And they truly believe the words that President Ronald Reagan said to them all those years ago: “The nine words you never want to hear are, I’m from The Government and I’m here to help.”

So, Scooter, Nancy, Harry, and all you super-geniuses up in the Beltway, you’ve pushed your Alinskymobile pedal all the way to the floor and you’re going to be pulled over to the side of the road by the American people in November. I hope you’ve got your Driver’s License and Proof of Insurance handy. And, by the way, be ready for a Breathalyzer Test. Because it appears to the American people that you are drunk with power.
